- 0:00Speaker 1: What's better than two hours of Mark some own three
- 0:04Speaker 1: the Mark the Own Show now nine till noon weekdays,
- 0:08Speaker 1: seven tenor it'll be even better, a one hour version. Yeah,
- 0:15Speaker 1: one hour every day. So I fought for that, but
- 0:18Speaker 1: it didn't work. Now, you know, Barrett Media, that's the
- 0:22Speaker 1: big trade magazine of the radio business, Barrett Media. If
- 0:25Speaker 1: you go to Barrettmedia dot com, this is a nice
- 0:27Speaker 1: article today about the show, about how we're going to
- 0:30Speaker 1: three hours. Take a look at it Barrettmedia dot com.
- 0:35Speaker 1: And it's up there right now in the website. Let's
- 0:39Speaker 1: take some calls. Eight hundred three to two one zero
- 0:42Speaker 1: seven ten is the number we always want new callers.
- 0:44Speaker 1: We got a lot of regular callers, like all kinds
- 0:46Speaker 1: of new callers. Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Let's go to Dave in Chicago. Dave, how you doing.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Good morning?
- 0:56Speaker 3: Mark.
- 0:57Speaker 2: With all due respect, you just stole my fun there
- 1:00Speaker 2: because I was speaking with Chris, your producer, about the
- 1:05Speaker 2: Barrett Media piece, which is the bible of the industry,
- 1:09Speaker 2: and what really caught my attention, among other things in
- 1:14Speaker 2: the piece, was the fact that you have a photographic
- 1:18Speaker 2: memory and you have so much materials, so when Steve
- 1:21Speaker 2: Moore doesn't show up. You easily just segue into the
- 1:26Speaker 2: volumes of information.
- 1:28Speaker 4: That you have.
- 1:29Speaker 2: And lastly, I've noticed when there is a running story,
- 1:33Speaker 2: say such as President Trump and the Iran War, you.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Don't sound repetitive.
- 1:40Speaker 2: You have the talent to make it sound like we're
- 1:43Speaker 2: hearing this for the first time, in spite of the
- 1:46Speaker 2: fact that it's extremely vital to our security.
- 1:50Speaker 1: So looking about Dave, you know, normally when the guy's
- 1:55Speaker 1: buttering you up, there's a butt coming. With Dave, there's
- 1:58Speaker 1: never any butt coming. It's genuine.
- 2:02Speaker 4: Mark.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Can I say one last thing? Who's going to say
- 2:05Speaker 2: this makesunt a little self serving? But the very first
- 2:08Speaker 2: day that you left seventy seven and you came down
- 2:12Speaker 2: to wry, I woke up at four point thirty in
- 2:17Speaker 2: the morning, set three clocks, and I was your very
- 2:21Speaker 2: first caller. And I get up and I make sure
- 2:26Speaker 2: that I listened at eight o'clock Chicago time.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Yeah, cood morning.
- 2:30Speaker 2: So you are deeply appreciated, and I thank you all.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Right, Well, we appreciate you, Dave. Thanks for calling to
- 2:38Speaker 1: take care. Yeah, when we we all came over from
- 2:41Speaker 1: the other place, it was me Rush and Sean, although
- 2:47Speaker 1: Sewan couldn't come for a while. Remember there was like
- 2:49Speaker 1: six months where you waiting for his contract to end
- 2:51Speaker 1: over there, and then the management from over there came here,
- 2:55Speaker 1: Tom Cuddy, Steve Borneman, And that's right. The first I
- 3:00Speaker 1: did the morning show, it was six to ten, and
- 3:05Speaker 1: I remember the first guest was Robert Klein, who won't
- 3:10Speaker 1: speak to me anymore. He's not a Trump fan. He's
- 3:15Speaker 1: not a Trump fan, so he's not going to come
- 3:18Speaker 1: on anymore. Second guest that day was Bob Costas, who's
- 3:24Speaker 1: not a Trump fan. We lost a lot of guests
- 3:28Speaker 1: because of Donald Trump. And at the time iHeart had
- 3:31Speaker 1: just bought w O R. And at the time it
- 3:34Speaker 1: was such a dump. It was downtown by Wall Street,
- 3:38Speaker 1: in these awful studios. It took iHeart like four or
- 3:42Speaker 1: five months to build us a good studio at iHeart.
- 3:46Speaker 1: So we were down there for the first four or
- 3:48Speaker 1: five months. But that was thirteen years ago. Thirteen years
- 3:52Speaker 1: ago we all came over here. Anyway. Let's go to
- 3:55Speaker 1: Mike in Florida.
- 3:56Speaker 3: Mike, how you doing, good morning, Mark, Yes, Mike, We've
- 4:01Speaker 3: come a long way since. Mister Smith goes to Washington
- 4:04Speaker 3: now it's mister al Sayad goes to Washington. It's a
- 4:10Speaker 3: little hard to wrap our heads around it.
- 4:12Speaker 4: But you know, you know, two things that you've been
- 4:14Speaker 4: talking about for the last hour make me laugh. One
- 4:16Speaker 4: is the idiotic Hollywood actresses and singers who were fawning
- 4:23Speaker 4: all over Fauci. They should be excoriated in the loudest
- 4:27Speaker 4: terms possible by by the public. I mean, it's dispaceful
- 4:30Speaker 4: what they did, and there their complicity in this whole
- 4:33Speaker 4: pandemic thing. And the other one is how Al Sayad
- 4:36Speaker 4: again and Corey Bush when they're giving their speeches there
- 4:40Speaker 4: they lapsed into this. You know, their their little patois.
- 4:43Speaker 4: You know, they sound like they just walked off the
- 4:45Speaker 4: set of Gone with the Wind all the time, the hilarious.
- 4:47Speaker 1: True, that's a good point. Thanks for calling. Yeah, she does.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Listen to Corey Bush. This ain't over, y'all.
- 4:53Speaker 2: This ain't over.
- 4:54Speaker 1: And when I said last time, headache, let's go to
- 5:01Speaker 1: uh Randall in Marylyn Randall.
- 5:03Speaker 3: How you doing, yes, Mark, yes, true broadcast professional. Thank
- 5:09Speaker 3: you the same as nine o'clock. You do it twelve.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Okay, Well that's good, that's good. Oh that's the whole call.
- 5:18Speaker 1: All right, very good. I appreciate it. Thanks for calling.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Let's go to uh Christine in beth Page. Christine, how
- 5:25Speaker 1: are you doing?
- 5:27Speaker 5: Good morning, Mark. Can you hear me?
- 5:29Speaker 1: Yes?
- 5:31Speaker 5: Great, I've been trying to read two for weeks now.
- 5:35Speaker 5: At any rate, my husband and I love watching your show.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Thanks. Well, you just watched the radio you look at.
- 5:42Speaker 5: We love your Yes, your radio show. We love your
- 5:46Speaker 5: voice is very calm uh huh and almost relaxing compared
- 5:52Speaker 5: to others.
- 5:54Speaker 1: And uh yeah, there is a lot of yelling on radio.
- 5:58Speaker 1: You got there's no reasoning.
- 6:01Speaker 5: And also your lightheartedness. You seem to take things, you know,
- 6:06Speaker 5: with a grain of assault. With everything that's going on,
- 6:08Speaker 5: my husband gets extremely heated up and I tell him
- 6:12Speaker 5: calm down.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Heat it up by you or about politics?
- 6:18Speaker 5: No politics? Oh okay, I wish you wouldn't watched let's
- 6:21Speaker 5: only watched it all day. What's going on?
- 6:24Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 6:24Speaker 5: At any rate, I'm a big Trump supporter. I hope
- 6:29Speaker 5: that Bruce Blakeman gets in because he's a wonderful guy.
- 6:33Speaker 5: A couple of years ago, my mom was one hundred
- 6:37Speaker 5: and five and Bruce came to the house declared the
- 6:41Speaker 5: day her day, the newspaper. So he's a great guy
- 6:47Speaker 5: and I do hope that he's able to take.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Everybody vote for Bruce Blakeman. Actually go to Blakeman from
- 6:53Speaker 1: New York dot Com. Donate too to something.
- 6:56Speaker 5: That I actually already donated.
- 6:58Speaker 1: New York dot Com. Hey, where you're in beth Page.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Is that that's Nassau County?
- 7:02Speaker 5: Right, that's not Suffoclo Okay, all.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Right, well, great, great hearing from you, Christine, Thanks for calling. Hey.
