- 0:00Hey folks, editing Joey here. We've got a two-part podcast for
- 0:04you this week and this episode will be the first of the two
- 0:07parts. Come back next week when we have
- 0:09the second part up and ready for you.
- 0:11Enjoy. Hello, Welcome to He's Hot for
- 0:15Something's Off with Me. Just Joey T And today we have a
- 0:20special guest. You sorry, you was very, uh,
- 0:24distracted. The music.
- 0:25I didn't know there was a music, just intro music too much.
- 0:27See, you don't listen to my podcast.
- 0:29I have intro music. I'm right here.
- 0:30I'll cut the live. I'll get the live unedited
- 0:32version which you can find on Joey T dot com.
- 0:37Just Joey t.com. It's got my links to everything.
- 0:39It doesn't have an unedited version.
- 0:40I'm selling you nothing, right? I'm sorry.
- 0:42Well, there's only one edit that's going to come up at the.
- 0:44I don't have multiple edits up there.
- 0:46OK, there you go. That's what you mean?
- 0:48No, I get the immediate raw access and you're in the
- 0:53podcast, you're getting the live experience.
- 0:55What more do you? Want this is true.
- 0:57I can hear myself. I can hear you.
- 0:59The audience still doesn't know your name.
- 1:00Shit, your name is. Yes, David, sorry, I don't know
- 1:06what the script. There's no script.
- 1:08I I'm just asking you what your name is.
- 1:10I don't. Know why I froze?
- 1:11You know why? Because when random strangers
- 1:13ask me for my name, I really don't want to give him my real
- 1:15name. Oh, do you have a?
- 1:17Do you have like a fake name you give to hookups?
- 1:19No, no, I just don't. I'm not actually actually really
- 1:22hookups. No hookups.
- 1:23I've given them a real name. Weirdly, because I've made a
- 1:25connection and I've chosen to engage with you.
- 1:28Is this randoms? Yeah, just who would like, hey,
- 1:32what's your name? And I don't know why I froze.
- 1:35I'm a really bad liar in that regard.
- 1:37I guess I can believe you're not a good liar.
- 1:40Yeah, yeah, I just lie down. But I don't know.
- 1:44Anyway, so we have David on the podcast.
- 1:46My name is actually David. His name is Ashley David.
- 1:50And we had, well, I had you on the podcast on like the second
- 1:54or third or fourth episode, way, way, way back.
- 1:56This is episode 27. 27 in this episode every week.
- 2:01So we've been doing this for half a year.
- 2:04Bro, Covads happened since. No, it hasn't.
- 2:08It's it's been about six months I think since I launched the.
- 2:12Yes, I think episode 2 and episode three was at the EDC
- 2:14episode, so it must have been around May.
- 2:16Yeah, the first episode, you had just gone back from EDC to Vegas
- 2:20and you were a zombie. And then the episode afterwards,
- 2:23you were much more yourself. Oh, that was the the redo.
- 2:27I mean, it wasn't a redo, it was just, it was just the next
- 2:29episode. After that, it's.
- 2:30The the moods. It's yeah, serotonin and then no
- 2:34serotonin. Yeah, but you didn't just go to
- 2:37a festival this time, so you're your normal self.
- 2:40Weedley, which is I don't know if it's worse all the time.
- 2:42I mean just you to you, as our friend Panda likes to say.
- 2:47You to you. You.
- 2:48To you, no one else will. So yeah, exactly.
- 2:51Yes. I'm here.
- 2:52I'm alive. I'm more awake.
- 2:54It is very warm in LA. It's unseasonably.
- 2:57It's unseasonably warm. It's it I I'm going to do this
- 3:01in Fahrenheit. I don't know how to translate
- 3:02into Celsius. Off the top of my head, David's
- 3:04from Australia. He doesn't know the the imperial
- 3:07system, but it's been in the mid, lower, mid 80s and usually
- 3:12it's in like the lower mid 70s. So we're about 10 or so degrees
- 3:17Fahrenheit more. Which is what like I don't know
- 3:19it. I think.
- 3:21I think low 80s is like high 20s in Celsius.
- 3:25Yeah, you should be closer to like low low 20s, low to mid 20s
- 3:31instead. So it's maybe like four or five
- 3:33degrees higher than usual. Have you had one of these
- 3:35podcasts since Halloween? I have one every week.
- 3:38Oh. Wait, when Halloween was last
- 3:40word? Halloween.
- 3:41So it isn't. We're recording this till
- 3:43November the 4th. Happy Halloween.
- 3:45We didn't. I didn't talk about Halloween,
- 3:47but it's the last podcast that I did.
- 3:50I had just came back from Taipei Pride.
- 3:52Oh, so you have. I talked about my trip, got it.
- 3:56And I got some feedback for that podcast because the the title
- 4:01was Taiwan Pride and for that like 3540 minute podcast episode
- 4:07only like 5 minutes of it was about the events like the parade
- 4:11or the one party that I went to. And the rest of it was just like
- 4:14my travels, but me flying on a plane and like sitting this
- 4:17beside this guy that tried to talk to me on a flight.
- 4:20So this is your redo? This is your redo.
- 4:22Please tell your excited listeners about actual Taipei
- 4:25Pride. I mean, sure like, so there's
- 4:28the Formosa Circuit party on Friday that I went to.
- 4:31That was the only like Party party that I went to.
- 4:35And I was telling you before it reminded me of White Party
- 4:39Bangkok because the venue was in the middle, was within like a
- 4:43shopping mall, like a shopping center, and it was like one of
- 4:46the higher up levels. So like you go into the shopping
- 4:49center, you take this elevator up to like the 7th or 8th floor,
- 4:52and then when you get off, it's like this venue basically.
- 4:54It's very like White Party Bangkok.
- 4:56And the music was pretty good. I don't really know how to
- 4:59describe a circuit party for people that don't know what a
- 5:02circuit party is. Like how you describe a circuit
- 5:04party to someone who has no idea what it is.
- 5:06Well, just a bunch of. Half naked people with body
- 5:11dysmorphia and and issues and just dancing and they're all,
- 5:15some of them are sober, but none of them really are.
- 5:18And they're all looking and judging at each other and trying
- 5:20to get into each other's pants and seeing who's cool and all
- 5:22that sort of stuff. Yeah, I mean, a circuit party
- 5:25like we go to circuit parties doesn't because we're trash,
- 5:28honestly. Not because we think we're good
- 5:31people, I think. No, absolutely not.
- 5:35Absolutely not. But like, The thing is, if
- 5:38someone tells me I hate circuit parties, I'd be like, yeah, that
- 5:41sounds above right. I mean, it's not, it's not for
- 5:43everyone. I don't mean that in like a
- 5:45shady way. It's just that circuit parties,
- 5:49there are some not so great things about it.
- 5:52And the reputation it gets, I can kind of understand why it's
- 5:56the sexual tension is kind of pretty high because you
- 5:58basically have like a bunch of gay guys in there and guys in
- 6:03general, but especially like gay guys, they just want to fuck all
- 6:06the time when you put them into that type of environment.
- 6:10Yep, There's a subsection of people who are into that.
- 6:12Yep. Yeah.
- 6:13So like, first, it's like if I go to a regular music festival,
- 6:18like a EDM music festival, that you don't have to get like,
- 6:21sexual tension there because you don't just have like 300
- 6:24shirtless gay men that are like hyped up on something, but.
- 6:27Some of that is actually creeping up into it, I find, and
- 6:30I'm. I'm actually not a little bit
- 6:32with that, actually. Yeah.
- 6:34I mean, when we go to like the larger EDM festivals, those are
- 6:37not gay or queer events. But there is like a subset of,
- 6:42you know, like gay guys that go there and they should have like
- 6:45rainbow totems or whatever. So you can kind of sort of spot
- 6:48them. The gays tend to clump together,
- 6:50and within that clump of gaze in the audience at like these EDM
- 6:56festivals you do get, because it's anytime you get a bunch of
- 7:01gay guys together, there's going to be some amount of, like, you
- 7:05know, at a party, you're going to get some amount of, like,
- 7:08sexual tension. If you're sexy, maybe I just get
- 7:13tension. Tension headaches.
- 7:15You just get tension. Headaches.
- 7:16Well, yeah. Well I like, I think, I think
- 7:20with most individuals you sort of get what you want out of it.
- 7:23Like I haven't I I go to the, I go to circuit parties to dance.
- 7:27That sounds really weird. But no, no, it's not weird.
- 7:30Like, I go to a circuit party, so OK, well, go back to Taiwan
- 7:33Pride for the Friday that I was there at that one circuit party.
- 7:37That's the only one I went to. I didn't travel to Taiwan with a
- 7:41group like when we go to White Party Bangkok, every New Year's,
- 7:44like we all meet up together and we're kind of like our crew,
- 7:47right? I didn't go with a crew.
- 7:49There were like some people here and there that I knew were also
- 7:52going, but I wasn't like with their group so.
- 7:54You were just Joey. Yeah.
- 7:57It was just yes. Oh my God.
- 7:59So I just went and yeah, like I there was like a small number of
- 8:03people that I recognized and I said hi to.
- 8:04But I wasn't like with I I didn't have a crew.
- 8:07I was just kind of by myself and you know, when I go, I mean I I
- 8:11do go shirtless because that's just my standard procedure when
- 8:14I go to circuit. Party Joey Yeah, it's pretty
- 8:17much if when you're when you're when you're up there on the
- 8:19dance floor, most of the guys are shirtless as well.
- 8:22Yeah, but I was just like dancing.
- 8:25Like I was just dancing to the music.
- 8:26I usually am not trying to like look for guys to like hit on or
- 8:31whatever. But you know, if other people
- 8:33are like trying to say hi to me or hit on me or whatever.
- 8:35Like there were a few times at the party where I can tell when
- 8:41someone's hitting on me like they're trying to.
- 8:43It's pretty obvious. And I was like just very I've
- 8:47got a procedure for like how to like, let them know.
- 8:53Thanks, but no thanks. But I happened to say thanks for
- 8:55no thanks. I just.
- 8:56I have herpes. I I'm not like I'm not gross.
- 9:00Oh, I. Am I don't care?
- 9:01Yeah. And then the worst thing is it's
- 9:03like, they're like me, too. The thing is like, sometimes
- 9:07there's different ways that people hit on you at a circuit
- 9:09party. So sometimes, like, people would
- 9:10just start, like, feeling you up.
- 9:11They'll start, like, touching your back, or like they'll grab
- 9:14your ass, or like they'll grab your arms and stuff it.
- 9:16Must be nice. I just get hit.
- 9:17I hit people. Have you Have you seen the
- 9:19bruises? I physically hit people.
- 9:21You get bruises coming out of a. Party.
- 9:22I'm that annoying person who flails.
- 9:24Oh, that's so. At least I don't.
- 9:25I don't like. I actually use the fan as a
- 9:28cooling device. I don't Flack it, that is also
- 9:32the circuit party staple, those fans.
- 9:35But cuz I run, I run really warm and I dance very erratically so
- 9:39I'm a lot of times sweating. So I should use it as a device
- 9:42and the fans are really annoying.
- 9:43For however, I do. Dance erratically.
- 9:46And so my space and spatial awareness is mediocre at best.
- 9:52Yeah, I'm. I'm definitely the mediest of
- 9:55ochres. Yeah.
- 9:57So I'll I'll hit you but not meaning to hit on you Jesus.
- 10:01So at this. So there are at this particular
- 10:05party during Taiwan pride, there are some people that like one
- 10:08way they hit on you is not to like talk to you first.
- 10:10They would just be like, they would start feeling ugly, be
- 10:12like maybe they would grab your arm or like stroke your back or
- 10:15like grab your ass or something like that.
- 10:17And for me, I, again, I'm not looking to be hit on.
- 10:21I'm just looking to dance, right.
- 10:22And when you're in the middle and the dance floor at a circuit
- 10:25party, there's not a ton of space.
- 10:27So like you're gonna be, you're gonna have a ton of people like
- 10:29dancing like right beside you right in front right behind.
- 10:32Like there's just not a lot of space to like get away from
- 10:35people. Honestly, especially when you're
- 10:37in the crowd, like further up front, which is where I happen
- 10:39to be, there are a couple guys that try to like fill me up or
- 10:42do whatever, didn't say hi or anything, I whatever.
- 10:46But like when that happens I would try to take like a step
- 10:49away from them and that's my sign to them.
- 10:51Like and I'm, I'm usually facing the other way, I'll face away
- 10:53from them and I'll take like as much of a distance away from
- 10:57them. With the little bit of space
- 10:59that around me, I'll like step away from them as much as I can.
- 11:02So when someone hits me in that way, that's my subtle but
- 11:06hopefully clear way to tell them, like, no thanks.
- 11:10If all they do is just try to like, try to touch me up
- 11:13sometimes, Sometimes people will say hi to me.
- 11:15They might recognize me from my YouTube channel.
- 11:17And then when that happens, they're not necessarily hitting
- 11:20on me, but they just want to say thanks for like the videos that
- 11:23I put out. And like, that's fine.
- 11:24I'll be like, oh, like, thank you for watching the channel.
- 11:27I appreciate it. That's not really like hitting
- 11:29on me, but sometimes when people talk to me, be like, oh hey,
- 11:33like, what's your name, where are you from?
- 11:35Blah blah blah, like they're trying to strike up conversation
- 11:37with you. Listen in the middle of the
- 11:39dance floor on the circuit party, they're not trying to
- 11:41make friends. If someone is trying to make
- 11:44small talk with you, they're trying to hit on.
- 11:46You OK? I counted that.
- 11:47But continue. Please continue, but the the
- 11:49odds are like you know. Yeah, this I think is not a
- 11:54rule, but. I think you do take it for.
- 11:58Yeah, I think that depends on the person.
- 12:00There's certain people who are always trying to make friends,
- 12:02certain people are always trying to hook up and there's certain
- 12:04people who, I don't know, maybe fans actually.
- 12:06So you know you're smart enough to realise you take read all the
- 12:11body, read the vibe to. Move and read vibes.
- 12:13Yeah, read the vibe. So yeah, for sure.
- 12:14And actually in this instance, in Taiwan Pride and you could
- 12:18probably take this sort of conversation similar to your
- 12:22Barcelona experiences. Where language barriers are a
- 12:26thing, yes, the the touching as a sign of interest and like
- 12:31that's fine with me. I don't find, I don't find out
- 12:33offensive usually. Well, it depends on how they're
- 12:35grabbing what they're grabbing. That's true, and consent is
- 12:38sexy. But it's how they respond to
- 12:43when you say no or you indicate no, yeah.
- 12:47Cuz until then they don't know. And then if they then back off
- 12:50afterwards, that's that's fine, correct?
- 12:52Correct. I always want to make it so that
- 12:56it's easy and relatively painless for you to.
- 13:00I don't wanna make it awkward. Yeah, I wanna make it like
- 13:02whatever I'm doing to signal to you that I'm not interested.
- 13:05I wanna do it in a way where you have an easy out, where you
- 13:09don't feel like embarrassed or there are any hang ups about it.
- 13:13Hell yeah, yeah. But when people.
- 13:15So there are a few guys that strike a conversation with me.
- 13:18They don't know who I was before.
- 13:19So it's not from the YouTube or whatever.
- 13:21They're making small talk a lot, but I'll make small talk back.
- 13:25But The thing is I won't ask them any questions.
- 13:28Yeah, I'll kind of. I'll do the minimum to carry on
- 13:33a little bit of their small talk, but I won't show any overt
- 13:37interest. Yeah, and I think most people
- 13:40would read queues in a normal situation.
- 13:42Unfortunately, when people are inebriated, they might not read
- 13:45those queues. Most of our not sober these.
- 13:47It needs to be a. Little bit more assertive than
- 13:49subtle, and that's correct. So that's Level 2.
- 13:51So like, my thing is like, oh, they'll ask questions on like
- 13:54I'll answer the questions and that'll be nice and I'll be
- 13:56smiley. But like, I won't ask them
- 13:58questions back. But asking questions back is a
- 14:00key indicator that you want to keep that conversation going and
- 14:03you're showing some level interest.
- 14:04So I don't usually ask them questions.
- 14:06They may ask me a couple questions to like, make small
- 14:08talk. So I'll answer with relatively
- 14:11short, simple answers. So that's the first.
- 14:15The second clue is I'm not asking you any questions back.
- 14:18So that's like the 101, right? So if they still don't get a
- 14:21bit, they're inebriated or whatever.
- 14:23Sometimes, like they'll they'll ask some questions and just
- 14:25break. And I'd be like, oh, it's oh, it
- 14:27was nice to meet you or something like that, which is
- 14:30like a little bit more like, OK, nice to meet you.
- 14:32Like, it's signaling like, OK, this is the end of our
- 14:35conversation now without saying, without saying like, no, go
- 14:38away. That's just.
- 14:39You've heard it here first. If Joey asked you a question, or
- 14:42if he doesn't ask you a question, it's just noey Just.
- 14:45It's just Noey, just thank you. Yeah.
- 14:46But The thing is, like, yeah, back to that point about when
- 14:49I'm most, like 99% of the time when I'm dancing on the dance
- 14:54floor at a circuit party, I'm not usually looking to like, get
- 14:59hit on. I'm not not looking for sex or
- 15:01whatever. I'm there to dance, right.
- 15:04So I'm already kind of in this mindset where like, I, I, I'm,
- 15:09I'm not wanting to be hit on. And I said this on my last
- 15:14podcast. I'm usually also not a person to
- 15:16like make small talk. So Yep, my personality is kind
- 15:20of sort of like, maybe it's, you can almost say like, well, it's,
- 15:23how do you ever meet P1? It's.
- 15:25I don't. Well, it's also, that's a good
- 15:27personality trait to have someone have a podcast.
- 15:31I mean, I like talking. And if someone doesn't, if you
- 15:34don't want to listen to this podcast, you're already not
- 15:36listening like 15 minutes in. So that's fine.
- 15:39It's your. 15 minutes. It's a long time we're we're
- 15:41we're about 15 minutes into the recording.
- 15:43Wait, have you talked about for most?
- 15:44OK, let's bring it back to what just really quickly what they
- 15:47tried to cover last week. Let's just say how was the
- 15:49production? Did you notice the production
- 15:51question was pretty good? It's basically a giant square.
- 15:55The actual like event like dance space, they have like like a
- 15:58lobby area that was like so it was like lit up and they had a
- 16:02drink ticket and they also had like just this one single queue
- 16:05for like the for the drinks counter.
- 16:08Oh my God. When I was I only got like water
- 16:10there. But when I was up at the drinks
- 16:14counter with my drink tickets I saw like the most fit people
- 16:20were were the bartenders perfect.
- 16:22They were, they were exactly us fit exactly, if not more than
- 16:28the go go's. Like the go go's were like very
- 16:30very fit, very muscly very shredded.
- 16:32All that stuff like you would kind of expect like they were, I
- 16:34think they were like 8 or 8 or 10 go go's.
- 16:37But like the people that were like doing the drinks.
- 16:39There was also this like one girl that was alongside these
- 16:43muscly guys. There was like a girl that was
- 16:45kind of near where I was at the drink station and she she works
- 16:50out, she works out. She had bigger shoulders in like
- 16:54a nice, still feminine way than most of the guys that were
- 16:57there. Like the people that were the
- 16:59bartenders, they were fit as fuck.
- 17:01So that was one thing I noticed. So maybe they were the go go's
- 17:04who couldn't dance And then it's like, hey, do you want to gig
- 17:06serving drinks, dude? I mean, maybe.
- 17:08Or maybe they have like rotation for shifts where like, hey, like
- 17:12you're not dancing like the entire however many hours.
- 17:15Like they take breaks and they go off and stuff.
- 17:16Or maybe they have different rotations, different shifts for
- 17:18dancers. So maybe there's an early shift
- 17:19for the dancers. Then if you want to two, you
- 17:22can. I don't know what the
- 17:22difference, but they were they were hot and fit as fuck all the
- 17:26bartenders that I saw. OK, good.
- 17:29How would you rate the Like the security?
- 17:33Rough. Annoying, no.
- 17:35Minimal good. Not, not in like a bad way, but
- 17:37they weren't invasive at all. You.
- 17:38Probably didn't use code check, so like logistics I didn't use
- 17:41code check because I have a system to not have to use code
- 17:44check so. You know, sometimes you go to a
- 17:45party, circa party, festival, anything, and you go, then
- 17:48you're like, this is a cluster fuck.
- 17:49You just know there was none of that here.
- 17:51So the only thing that was maybe a little off putting is you have
- 17:55to take an elevator up to the level where the venue is on the
- 17:597th or 8th floor and they were only using one particular
- 18:02entrance to the building to let everyone and because I guess
- 18:05like that kind of makes sense. But there were only like 3-3
- 18:11elevators. I think there were two or three
- 18:13elevators that they were using to let people up.
- 18:17So it was a bit of a wait and a queue OK to get into the
- 18:20building. So the line outside was like
- 18:22very very long. It it did move steadily but not
- 18:25super fast but it did move but to the if you were I was in the
- 18:30line I probably for like 30-40 minutes and I didn't get the
- 18:33Super late. And what time did you finish?
- 18:35I left at like 2:30 I think. So this is so annoyed you got on
- 18:38the first night. I think the parties were
- 18:40supposed to close at like 3 or something.
- 18:42Like I left like shortly after two because I was like, I wanna
- 18:46go to the parade, which I guess we also talk about next I'm
- 18:49gonna go to the parade, which was like in the afternoon, the
- 18:51daytime. So I didn't wanna go super,
- 18:53super late. And honestly, by that time I've
- 18:56been at the party for about like 3 hours and I don't need to be
- 18:59at a party for much longer than that, regardless of the party
- 19:02usually. Well, I mean this year I think
- 19:05was it was supposed to be world pride, but my feed was I had no
- 19:09idea how many Taiwan. Yeah, there was.
- 19:11I didn't get that. Boat ton of.
- 19:14I mean, I heard from a Taiwanese friend of ours.
- 19:18I think it was supposed to be war pride.
- 19:19But then China got angry and China gets angry.
- 19:21And however, irrespective of that, there was a lot of people
- 19:26that I did not realize were going to Taiwan all of a sudden
- 19:30popped up on my feet going to you know what I want though like
- 19:32now that I, this was my first time in Taiwan ever and like I
- 19:37really, really want to like go back to Taiwan pride like some
- 19:43in sometime in the future, in the near future, hopefully with
- 19:46you and with Jeremy and like with Jay or like and whoever
- 19:50else wants to come. But it's like the next time I
- 19:52go, I really wanted to be like go with a crew.
- 19:55How was the boba? I didn't.
- 19:59So I mentioned in my last podcast.
- 20:01In the last podcast like this, this person that did the comment
- 20:04was true. I spent 5 minutes talk about the
- 20:06parties and the other 30 minutes I was talking about like
- 20:08everything except their parties. But I mentioned last time I was
- 20:11eating, just stop at some McDonald's.
- 20:13Yeah, like a real American. You know American.
- 20:15I I'm American now. Oh, there you go, American
- 20:18citizen. You act like an American, Jesus.
- 20:21Anyways, yes, I didn't. I didn't seek out, but I I
- 20:24drank. Pretty much water the entire
- 20:26time. So I was like trying to make
- 20:28make sure my sometimes when you travel, your digestive system
- 20:31doesn't always completely like agree with you traveling.
- 20:36So for me, like getting a lot of water in kind of helps when I'm
- 20:40traveling, especially when my diet is like, so off of what it
- 20:44normally is, it was Starbucks and McDonald's, it was like
- 20:47completely off. So the the the one little thing
- 20:51I try to do is like. Just to like, at least drink
- 20:54something healthy, which is which is like.
- 20:56Water like I didn't get. I didn't get soda or anything
- 20:59like that. When I went to, you were just
- 21:00drinking water like, like. Just and also McDonald's water
- 21:04also did like some lattes at the Starbucks but with like oat milk
- 21:07because I'm off dairy right now. Do the McDonald's water taste
- 21:09normal? It's just bottled water, OK?
- 21:11Yeah. Yeah, it's bottled water
- 21:12everywhere. And there you go.
- 21:14That's for Mosa. Go for the.
- 21:15McDonald's the circuit party. Yeah, so the circuit party, It
- 21:18was really nice. Like the venue was pretty cool.
- 21:20Air conditioning was good. It wasn't too warm.
- 21:22That's always something. Usually when the AC is decent
- 21:25and good, we don't notice. It's when it's warm that we
- 21:27notice. And some venues have a
- 21:29reputation for hosting circuit parties where the AC just can't
- 21:33handle it. And and actually, it's seemingly
- 21:35the like modernist Asian cities seem to have facilities that are
- 21:40used to humidity. And so therefore the the air
- 21:44conditioning is good. So, yeah, yeah.
- 21:45So AC was good. Like, honestly, I think I'm
- 21:48pretty sure I mentioned this, but like, the guys there were
- 21:50like so hot that I want to go back.
- 21:53There you go. The guys.
- 21:54Go for the boys, go for the boys.
- 21:56Stay for the boy toys. Stay for it.
- 21:59Taiwan, stay for this. Yep, stay for the SDI.
- 22:03More good care in Taiwan. I think but but the guys I I
- 22:06think I will probably try to go back next year.
- 22:08There you go. Foremost, yeah, I want to get
- 22:10someone you guys to come with if I mean we'll we'll talk about it
- 22:14next year. That's a whole year away.
- 22:16Yeah. Yeah.
- 22:17It's always coincides with October cruise, which is why
- 22:19I've never gone before. But we're not doing the.
- 22:22I mean I'm not I'm not doing the other cruise this year,
- 22:25primarily if I didn't go on the and if I didn't go to Taiwan for
- 22:28pride, there's a decent chance I might have been on the October
- 22:31cruise because it's same same week.
- 22:33Yeah, it's it's always clashes. So I've never gone before.
- 22:36Yeah. So there you go.
- 22:37So, so for the listeners like the three of you that listen
- 22:41regularly, that was disappointed last week.
- 22:45That I didn't talk enough about the parties, but we just talked
- 22:48about it for like 20 minutes. There you go.
- 22:49There you go. Party boys.
- 22:51Yeah. Yeah.
- 22:52So we can move it on to the next topic now though, if you want.
- 22:54Do we have another? Do we have another topic?
- 22:56Oh yeah. I've got lots of topics.
- 22:58Bitch, that's just a soundboard. There's no like notes there in
- 23:00my head. Oh, OK.
- 23:01This is called being prepared. I was like, what are you
- 23:03reading? For no, this is called being
- 23:05prepared, being a douche. Well, that, that's your
- 23:08department being prepared, Douche.
- 23:11Douche Douche, You should tell them about your two for one bro
- 23:15look. If you just if it's.
- 23:17If you just douche once, you could use that like for value
- 23:20and you could have. Multiple guys.
- 23:23Well, not at the same time, but you could.
- 23:25I mean, we're not joking. I'm not king Shaming.
- 23:28You can do it. You could.
- 23:30Line them up you want. You could line them up and it's
- 23:32just one douche. Line them up, front to back,
- 23:34whatever. Front to back, side to side, ear
- 23:36to nose. OK.
- 23:38Well, it's. We don't need all the details
- 23:40from your. From what you need, the last
- 23:41night's very every, every RFS, but there you go.
- 23:44Yeah, there you go. That's not life.
- 23:45I could just say this is common sense for those who are hungry,
- 23:49thirsty. Thirsty, I think.
- 23:51Yeah, sorry, I don't know what. It's fine.
- 23:53I think it's Thursday, those who are, Yep.
- 23:56Yeah, but I'm excited for us to, after this trip to Asia to
- 24:01party. I'm we go to White Party Bangkok
- 24:03every single year. So I'm like, even more excited
- 24:05now for this year's White Party Bangkok, seven weeks away.
- 24:09I would, yeah. It's it's almost 2024.
- 24:13Bro, Yeah, it's about 7:00 or 8 weeks away.
- 24:15New Year's about 7:00, almost 2024 like COVID COVID 3 years
- 24:18ago do. So in EU?
- 24:19Yeah. In the US at least we've got US
- 24:21Thanksgiving coming up. Oh, you're you're You might be
- 24:24here for US Thanksgiving. You might be in the US for US
- 24:26Thanksgiving I should I should actually be here for?
- 24:29Yeah. So that's that's in like 3-3
- 24:31weeks or so, about 3 weeks. Yep.
- 24:34I've never done Thanksgiving because we don't have it in
- 24:37Australia. Yeah, that's not, I think
- 24:38that's, yeah, that's like pilgrims and Turkey and Black
- 24:41Friday sales. Is not asking the right person.
- 24:44Oh yeah, Black Friday sales is the Friday.
- 24:46So Thanksgiving is always on the the last Thursday of November
- 24:50got it. And then the Friday day after is
- 24:53Black Friday. So historically that's where
- 24:55like stores will have these like blowout sales and then Cyber
- 24:58Monday is. Just the Monday after that,
- 25:00which is so when online shopping became more of a thing, they did
- 25:03Cyber Mondays. But nowadays though, these days
- 25:06Black Friday sales. Like we just saw this ad, which
- 25:09is like the Mean Girls ad for like some Black Friday or
- 25:12whatever thing. Dude, it was amazing.
- 25:14So basically it used to be that like 20 years ago before
- 25:18shopping online Black Friday, you would get people lined up
- 25:22outside Best Buy or Walmart or whatever like early in the
- 25:26morning on Friday because they would be at the newspapers like
- 25:30the week before. They would advertise out the
- 25:32door crasher or like the the door Buster whatever sales which
- 25:36is like they'll have like oh for the 1st 50 people that get into
- 25:40the store. The physical store on Black
- 25:43Friday, you can get like, yeah, like some some stupid crazy
- 25:48deal. You get ATV for like 100 bucks,
- 25:50like like a big screen TV for like 100 bucks, something crazy.
- 25:52Like those are like the door crasher deals and they would
- 25:54advertise it in the newspapers a few days or like a week before
- 25:57so people would know like, oh, I want this TV.
- 26:00I'm going to go to whatever store early Friday morning and
- 26:03start lining up. So that used to be the case like
- 26:0520 years ago before online shopping.
- 26:07Today, though, Black Friday Deals, they start way before
- 26:10Black Friday. They start like.
- 26:11Like 1-2, three weeks because all the different retailers,
- 26:14they try to outdo each other. So Amazon Prime has a tie into
- 26:18Black Friday now. And because Amazon does this
- 26:20Amazon Prime thing, Target is like trying to do something to
- 26:24compete with the Amazon Prime Days.
- 26:27So it's like Walmart, so like and it becomes earlier and
- 26:30earlier like we just saw this ad, which is like the Mean Girls
- 26:34ad for Walmart. Which is like, which I think
- 26:37it's a Black Friday sales related thing.
- 26:39It's like Black Wednesday. I think they did something
- 26:41slightly different, but it's like we're like 4 weeks away,
- 26:45Three or four weeks away from the actual Black Friday.
- 26:47And the sales and advertising's already started.
- 26:51Thank God we have Thanksgiving to remind us about capitalism.
- 26:53Hey, amazing. Yeah, great.
- 26:56Oh, America. But we're probably gonna be
- 26:58doing a friends giving thing with.
- 27:01I'll be in LA. I'll be like, 'cause I'll land
- 27:04that day. Well, I'm, I'll be picking.
- 27:06I'll pick you from the airport and go straight to you, go eat
- 27:08and I'll come for, like, whatever dessert.
- 27:10Is I'm not. I'm not there to eat.
- 27:11I'm on the diet. Are you going to?
- 27:14Be on, I'll eat your I'll eat your half.
- 27:16I'm not going to stray off my regular diet just for I have
- 27:19Thanksgiving. I have no diet so I'll just eat
- 27:21everything anyways. Eat McDonald's everything over
- 27:23all the time? No, but you know, there's US.
- 27:26McDonald's is just different. Besides the Mcgriddle.
- 27:28Besides the Mcgriddle. We're just talking about this,
- 27:31but I was raving to him about. I mentioned in the last podcast,
- 27:35David Lamb loves McDonald's, and I told you about this prime rib
- 27:40burger that I fell in love with when I was in Taiwan.
- 27:43You had five. Yeah, I like four or five of
- 27:45them that that they don't sell usually in the US.
- 27:48And then I told you one of the days in Taiwan, I went to
- 27:52Badan's for breakfast because I like the breakfast menu.
- 27:55And I mentioned to you how they don't have the Mcgriddle there.
- 27:57Yeah, dude, that. But he loves, he said.
- 27:59It was a heart attack or something.
- 28:00Right. Well, the the I didn't really
- 28:03know about the Mcgriddle. It's been a thing on the menu in
- 28:05the US for a while, but I'd never eat breakfast at
- 28:08McDonald's in the US. So you got it that one time when
- 28:11you were taking, when you were being very generous in helping
- 28:13me to get the monkey pox vaccine.
- 28:15Yeah, something like that. So we had it in a park and I.
- 28:18Yeah, we got it to go. But it's like that was when they
- 28:21had back when we had the monkey pox outbreak and there were
- 28:25clinics like pop up clinics at like local parks in Southern
- 28:29California to get the vaccine and that's when you actually
- 28:32needed to like line up with. The supply was limited.
- 28:35So I had gone mine like a week before and you happened to be in
- 28:38town like the week after and I was like OK, I'll tell you to
- 28:41the site that I went to but like you have to line up for like
- 28:443045 minutes outside. So I was like, let's go, let's
- 28:47go early. We'll go to McDonald's, we'll
- 28:49pick up some food and then we can eat while we're waiting in
- 28:51line. So at least we're not starving
- 28:52when we're in line. This was the 1st time we did
- 28:54this was the first time I had it and I picked it because the
- 28:57picture looked good I guess it worked very easy and then I'm
- 29:00like Oh my God this tastes amazing.
- 29:01So when I when I've been into it, it was like a regular muffin
- 29:06breakfast sandwich I like. But The thing is, with the
- 29:08Mcgriddle, it's like syrup. Syrup soaked pancakes, not Maple
- 29:12syrup. Just like high fructose corn
- 29:14syrup soaked pancakes. Instead of like a regular
- 29:18English muffin and then whatever, whatever, like chicken
- 29:21or eggs or whatever you get inside it, but like because it
- 29:24was like sugar syrup soaked pancakes it on top and the
- 29:29bottom. I keep on saying it tastes like
- 29:31a heart attack. It was so good, yeah.
- 29:34'Cause I'm sure besides the sugar they ate squeezing some
- 29:36fat in there too, it just it was like bacon and egg, but it
- 29:39wrapped into pancakes. Yes, it was.
- 29:42Sugar and fat soaked pancake and then bacon and then whatever.
- 29:47You probably just got bacon. Dude, it was.
- 29:48It was. Good.
- 29:49And then other sugar and fat. So pancake on the bottom.
- 29:52It just tasted like so and healthy.
- 29:54It just tasted like a hard.
