- 0:00Speaker 1: All Star Toyota presents Off the Bench with Jacob Hester
- 0:04Speaker 1: and Matt Flynn. Let's go, Let's go from a championship
- 0:07Speaker 1: backfield to your morning drive.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Ham'sday, Hester and Hester got it your locks in to
- 0:14Speaker 2: off the Bench.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Well control the.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Live from the Mercedes Benz of Baton Rouge Studio. Here's
- 0:23Speaker 1: Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 0:33Speaker 3: Yo oh TV.
- 0:39Speaker 4: Here on a Wednesday morning, Jake Flynn, Alandra and Tate
- 0:45Speaker 4: all here with you. How we do and how we
- 0:47Speaker 4: living room?
- 0:48Speaker 5: We are doing great?
- 0:50Speaker 6: Yeah, riveting golf conversation right before it.
- 0:54Speaker 5: Was a full fighting here.
- 0:56Speaker 4: I didn't I just I didn't know. Matt was that Yeah,
- 1:01Speaker 4: so in the golf I know he liked it.
- 1:03Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:03Speaker 6: He was also very defensive of Tiger Woods. He was
- 1:07Speaker 6: what if he cheated on his wife?
- 1:10Speaker 7: Who cares?
- 1:10Speaker 5: Did say that? I did that? What are we talking about?
- 1:15Speaker 5: Let's start thirty seconds into the Show's not bringing that up,
- 1:18Speaker 5: But we were talking about sports.
- 1:19Speaker 7: We were we actually were.
- 1:21Speaker 5: Uh yeah, Jake just came in here hot with just
- 1:24Speaker 5: terrible opinions.
- 1:25Speaker 6: Well, okay, the the original comment was that Tiger Woods
- 1:30Speaker 6: is like nobody in this room said this, but somebody
- 1:33Speaker 6: said that Tiger Woods is the greatest athlete of all time.
- 1:35Speaker 4: And you can't talk bad about Tiger Woods. Doubt that
- 1:39Speaker 4: statement to a golf bro. No, golf brow don't want
- 1:41Speaker 4: to hear that. No, I don't even know.
- 1:43Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't even know how the conversation started. I
- 1:45Speaker 5: never said he was the greatest athlete of all time.
- 1:47Speaker 5: I just defended him because you were poo pooing on him.
- 1:50Speaker 8: We were talking about you guys should wear the same
- 1:53Speaker 8: thing immedia day because somehow Jake and t Bob wound
- 1:55Speaker 8: up wearing the same thing. Really, well, that's because t
- 1:58Speaker 8: Bob will wear the same shirt for a row. You
- 2:01Speaker 8: said Tiger never wore the same shirt twice, and I
- 2:03Speaker 8: was like, there's nothing good anymore.
- 2:04Speaker 5: Maybe needs to go back to him.
- 2:06Speaker 9: So it.
- 2:11Speaker 5: Was it was my fault, all right, Hey golfers out
- 2:13Speaker 5: there listening, like, just I want you to sit down
- 2:16Speaker 5: for a second, because Jacob literally said.
- 2:19Speaker 4: Oh Jacob, I don't like that at all.
- 2:22Speaker 5: I'm a good I'm a good athlete. I just stand
- 2:24Speaker 5: over a ball and hit it.
- 2:26Speaker 9: No.
- 2:27Speaker 4: My point was I have had people that I've played with.
- 2:30Speaker 4: It are NFL players, We have played Tory Pines two
- 2:35Speaker 4: weeks after the US opened in two thousand and I
- 2:38Speaker 4: guess eight, and I saw Billy Bullock shoot like a
- 2:41Speaker 4: seventy two. So my whole point was, like, somebody like
- 2:45Speaker 4: that can be closer to a professional than like a
- 2:49Speaker 4: professional golfer could be to what we did, or a
- 2:55Speaker 4: basketball player, baseball player, you pick it. The point was
- 2:58Speaker 4: that those guys are closer. I'm not saying they're Tiger Woods.
- 3:02Speaker 4: I'm not saying they're elite, but they can go out
- 3:04Speaker 4: there and they can do that. There's not a golfer
- 3:07Speaker 4: in the world that could go complete a pass in
- 3:09Speaker 4: an NFL game beyond the line of scrimmage.
- 3:11Speaker 5: I understand that you were like, yeah, we can't ever
- 3:14Speaker 5: compare Tiger Woods to like Michael Jordan's greatest athlete of
- 3:18Speaker 5: all time, and I disagreed with that. I'm not saying
- 3:22Speaker 5: he is or above anybody, but like there, you can
- 3:25Speaker 5: go around the country, around the world and watch pick
- 3:28Speaker 5: up basketball games and you have some ballers out there
- 3:30Speaker 5: that are probably close where you could make the same
- 3:33Speaker 5: argument they're closer to playing in the NBA then.
- 3:36Speaker 7: But I think like those is a complete in the past.
- 3:39Speaker 6: The question is is like the athleticism, not how easy
- 3:42Speaker 6: it is to get to the elite.
- 3:43Speaker 7: I think it is athlete.
- 3:45Speaker 5: Of all time. He is the most athletic person of
- 3:48Speaker 5: all time.
- 3:49Speaker 6: Well in their sport, I would say, like in his sport,
- 3:54Speaker 6: he probably is the greatest of all time.
- 3:56Speaker 7: But like out of all the sports and all the athletes,
- 3:58Speaker 7: I don't think he is because.
- 3:59Speaker 8: Like, honestly, I've always had this this opinion, and a
- 4:02Speaker 8: lot of people have told me I'm wrong on it.
- 4:03Speaker 5: That's fine.
- 4:05Speaker 8: I would be a terrible NASCAR driver. I don't think
- 4:07Speaker 8: NASCAR drivers are athletes. But Tony Stewart's fat and he's
- 4:14Speaker 8: one of the better athletes. He's one of the better
- 4:16Speaker 8: NASCAR drivers.
- 4:17Speaker 5: Out there.
- 4:19Speaker 4: Just sitting back here watching o TV is North Carolina somewhere.
- 4:28Speaker 9: Is he not?
- 4:29Speaker 8: But he's away driver. But that is like, okay, make
- 4:32Speaker 8: him a better athlete than that. But like Matt's in
- 4:35Speaker 8: better shape, Tony's probably a better driver.
- 4:38Speaker 5: That's what I'm saying, Like, NASCAR drivers aren't athletes.
- 4:41Speaker 4: Bad guy.
- 4:44Speaker 5: So if we're going like the most athletic person, then
- 4:46Speaker 5: it wouldn't be Michael Jordan most athletic person in the world.
- 4:48Speaker 5: I don't know, he's just like a completely different conversation.
- 4:52Speaker 4: What he did just in the middle of his career,
- 4:54Speaker 4: go play minor league baseball and not be that bad
- 4:56Speaker 4: at It's pretty impressive.
- 4:57Speaker 5: Got it? But most athletic Sanders greatest athlete of all time?
- 5:01Speaker 5: Jackson Jackson to sport of Jackson run backwards. I don't know,
- 5:06Speaker 5: nobody does true.
- 5:09Speaker 6: See, but Michael Jordan was also a golfer, wasn't he,
- 5:12Speaker 6: and like pretty good at it?
- 5:14Speaker 4: Yeah, you can be pretty good.
- 5:17Speaker 5: And so he got kidnapped on space shoom he pulled
- 5:21Speaker 5: through the golf hot athlete wouldn't have gotten taken in.
- 5:25Speaker 5: But anyway, I just want to see, don't We don't
- 5:30Speaker 5: even wait till the microphones turned on to start arguing sports.
- 5:32Speaker 5: We did it five minutes before the show started.
- 5:35Speaker 7: He says, we don't talk about sports.
- 5:36Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, k.
- 5:39Speaker 5: Hey, how about Agata greatest athlete of all time?
- 5:43Speaker 7: Let's go how about today and Jonas and Neck.
- 5:46Speaker 5: Let me tell you we watched the end of the
- 5:48Speaker 5: Tour de France stage yesterday. Taylor Landra locked in.
- 5:52Speaker 7: I was locked in, locked in.
- 5:55Speaker 4: I was separating cars in the other room. It was electric,
- 5:57Speaker 4: but I heard y'all, and it sounds like you are
- 5:59Speaker 4: having fun.
- 6:00Speaker 5: I was.
- 6:01Speaker 4: I know I heard her.
- 6:04Speaker 7: I was enjoying myself.
- 6:06Speaker 5: You try it. Do not knock it until you try it.
- 6:09Speaker 5: But I think we can all agree. Tiger, what's top
- 6:11Speaker 5: three athlete of all time?
- 6:12Speaker 7: I don't know about top three. I'd put him in
- 6:16Speaker 7: my top.
- 6:19Speaker 8: I mean, but hard top ten outside of the two
- 6:24Speaker 8: sport guys are multi sport guys, Like, how do you
- 6:27Speaker 8: determine this?
- 6:28Speaker 6: I think we need to like operatively define you win
- 6:33Speaker 6: their sport.
- 6:33Speaker 4: I'll say this, and this isn't throwing shade at somebody
- 6:38Speaker 4: that enjoys golf. I have had this conversation with people
- 6:43Speaker 4: that love golf, and you're never going to win this conversation.
- 6:47Speaker 4: You're just not going to. Yeah, it's you know, whoever
- 6:50Speaker 4: your goat is in whatever sport you love, it's never
- 6:54Speaker 4: going to be more than Tiger is to a golf
- 6:57Speaker 4: bro in their goat just not going to.
- 6:59Speaker 6: Well, you could also look and be like and live
- 7:01Speaker 6: your life like John Daily and play golf.
- 7:04Speaker 8: You could so John Daily, Tony Stewart one of the same.
- 7:09Speaker 5: You don't, I didn't can't go and look at what
- 7:15Speaker 5: he did for such a long period of time and
- 7:18Speaker 5: say he's not one of the top athletes of all time.
- 7:20Speaker 5: You just can't do it. It's impossible. Like if you're like,
- 7:24Speaker 5: if you go into it with a clear and open
- 7:26Speaker 5: mind just looking at Wins, not with like your meat
- 7:30Speaker 5: had too gritty to be pretty view of life, you can't.
- 7:34Speaker 4: You gotta just look at it, Nicholas, he's pretty good.
- 7:38Speaker 4: Oh that's not who you're talking about, you said, Wins.
- 7:40Speaker 5: I just I'll tell you what. You can argue that
- 7:43Speaker 5: Tiger Woods is probably one of, if not the most
- 7:45Speaker 5: influential athletes.
- 7:46Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I can agree there.
- 7:48Speaker 6: We were talking about that with the Kaitlin very much,
- 7:50Speaker 6: so I definitely agree with that.
- 7:54Speaker 4: I think you just got mad that Mike all starts
- 7:56Speaker 4: my goat. I felt that, Yeah, I felt that. In
- 7:58Speaker 4: his words, it's true though, Mike alst shucks goatee. Yeah
- 8:09Speaker 4: you think Mike still has a goateea?
- 8:11Speaker 5: I hope you gotta hope does anybody?
- 8:14Speaker 7: Those are probably back and Star and then he.
- 8:17Speaker 4: Like, dare somebody say something about it?
- 8:19Speaker 5: People have like the dirty go tea?
- 8:21Speaker 7: Look, no he doesn't. What is that considered? Is that
- 8:25Speaker 7: a goatee? He literally just has down here. It's okay.
- 8:29Speaker 7: I thought was like a little triangle.
- 8:31Speaker 4: Yeah, we gotta come up. Yeah, because like.
- 8:37Speaker 5: Hair just on the chims, i'd call that a go
- 8:40Speaker 5: to you just not for some reason, goatee is the
- 8:45Speaker 5: mustache that connect connects to it. Yeah, it's just a
- 8:49Speaker 5: little an go tea chin patch.
- 8:55Speaker 4: Jim Thorpe was a great athlete. I can't tell you
- 8:58Speaker 4: if he was the greatest because it was a long
- 9:00Speaker 4: long time ago and athletes have changed since then. Yeah,
- 9:03Speaker 4: it's kind of like I saw somebody breaking down. What
- 9:07Speaker 4: would Babe Ruth do if he stepped the box against
- 9:09Speaker 4: Paul Skis? How would that look?
- 9:11Speaker 5: He would you know, he points the left field and
- 9:14Speaker 5: then all by nine feet probably.
- 9:19Speaker 7: That's so embarrassing.
- 9:20Speaker 6: Can you imagine calling your shot and then it like
- 9:24Speaker 6: striking out and then on the mountain?
- 9:27Speaker 5: Yeah, like on bench.
- 9:29Speaker 6: Warmers and he's like calling him shot. He goes like
- 9:31Speaker 6: he points out to the outfield and then he goes down.
- 9:33Speaker 6: He doesn't but like right in.
- 9:36Speaker 4: Front of the.
- 9:39Speaker 5: Bus.
- 9:39Speaker 7: Yeah yeah, but he's like afraid.
- 9:41Speaker 4: Of the guy's afraid of the sun.
- 9:44Speaker 5: Oh, Howie.
- 9:48Speaker 7: Salad.
- 9:48Speaker 8: We were the guy that was on our high school
- 9:51Speaker 8: baseball team. He was really pale, and they called him
- 9:53Speaker 8: Howie and I was like, not a good not a
- 9:56Speaker 8: good nickname.
- 9:57Speaker 4: What was the guy? What? What was the nickname? And
- 9:58Speaker 4: me myself and Ireen? Was it Milky?
- 10:01Speaker 7: I don't remember.
- 10:03Speaker 4: It was?
- 10:04Speaker 8: Yeah, No, he called him Milky and then his name
- 10:07Speaker 8: turned out to b cast.
- 10:10Speaker 5: Sports. Hey we start, we let it off?
- 10:14Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 10:15Speaker 5: Uh, next segment, who's better Mike Jordan or Lebron Jordan's.
- 10:20Speaker 4: Michael Jordan does a joke?
- 10:23Speaker 5: Does a joke?
- 10:23Speaker 7: I think is on an island? Now? Yeah, but what wait,
- 10:27Speaker 7: aren't you Lebronron?
- 10:30Speaker 4: I as well just go ahead and.
- 10:31Speaker 7: Hit the Lebron trailer.
- 10:33Speaker 5: I'm not a Lebron.
- 10:35Speaker 8: Next, it's hard to say I didn't get to see
- 10:38Speaker 8: Michael play.
- 10:39Speaker 5: Yeah, it's really hard to a lot of out there.
- 10:42Speaker 4: Yeah, well, okay, he played in six finals and he
- 10:45Speaker 4: won all six.
- 10:46Speaker 5: I get that. I don't.
- 10:49Speaker 8: I don't take that in consideration as much as others,
- 10:52Speaker 8: like you can see Michael's Michael's won six rings. Okay,
- 10:56Speaker 8: Bill Russell one eleven because Bill Russell better than Michael. No,
- 11:00Speaker 8: nobody's saying that like a factored a lot of things.
- 11:03Speaker 8: I don't know, and there's a different era.
- 11:07Speaker 7: Lebron certified compiler.
- 11:10Speaker 5: Lebron's super annoying. I feel like, oh, he's wanted to.
- 11:13Speaker 8: Like if I like that fact, if I went, yes,
- 11:18Speaker 8: if I went and looked at it and I was like, oh,
- 11:19Speaker 8: I think Lebron's better. That don't make me a fan.
- 11:22Speaker 5: All right.
- 11:22Speaker 4: Well, Lebron's four and six in the finals and has
- 11:25Speaker 4: a losing record in the finals.
- 11:26Speaker 5: So he's been ten times, yeah and lost six pretty good.
- 11:32Speaker 5: That means he's won ten conference championships. The banners, yeah
- 11:38Speaker 5: in Cleveland, they do.
- 11:40Speaker 4: Oh you should it's Cleveland. It's a mistake by the Lake,
- 11:43Speaker 4: all right. I don't know what that was.
- 11:45Speaker 5: I don't know if I've ever been as locked in
- 11:47Speaker 5: though as when he did go back to Cleveland and
- 11:49Speaker 5: win it. I was cheering pretty hard for that.
- 11:52Speaker 4: Oh, because that was Golden State. Everybody everybody wanted Golden State, and.
- 11:56Speaker 8: That was I mean, they were that was the That
- 11:58Speaker 8: was the seventy three and ninety And now I.
- 12:00Speaker 5: Feel like that was kind of before he was annoyed.
- 12:03Speaker 8: It was he didn't for me, Yes, am I taking
- 12:06Speaker 8: a shot at l A. He didn't get annoying for
- 12:08Speaker 8: me till he went to the Lakers.
- 12:11Speaker 4: Just because T Bob's not here doesn't mean you have
- 12:13Speaker 4: to hate on southern California.
- 12:14Speaker 7: He's been annoying for me.
- 12:17Speaker 4: You don't have to take that spot from him.
- 12:19Speaker 8: His whole mind, California, No, the whole thing right, his
- 12:25Speaker 8: own mind to change when he went to l A.
- 12:27Speaker 8: Which LA will do that to you.
- 12:30Speaker 5: California left coast over there.
- 12:37Speaker 4: It is to the left of us.
- 12:38Speaker 7: Yeah, they tend to lean to the left.
- 12:44Speaker 4: Lean with it, rock with it.
- 12:45Speaker 5: Yeah, all right.
- 12:48Speaker 4: When we come back. A lot of taxes, oh my,
- 12:51Speaker 4: all the taxes, all the taxes, like.
- 12:53Speaker 5: The fact that you defended so much.
- 13:00Speaker 7: Shocked is an idiot to me what he did for
- 13:05Speaker 7: many reasons.
- 13:06Speaker 5: But for many reasons.
- 13:07Speaker 6: You're taking money to go pay a bunch of it
- 13:09Speaker 6: back to the government.
- 13:10Speaker 5: So I had less.
- 13:11Speaker 4: Money I paid one year.
- 13:14Speaker 8: Yeah, he probably he probably made less of U C.
- 13:17Speaker 8: L A than he would have made it to C
- 13:18Speaker 8: this year. Yes, even before even before taxes.
- 13:23Speaker 5: Uh, yeah, for sure, one thousand. He took half the
- 13:27Speaker 5: money to pay double ent. He didn't pay any in
- 13:30Speaker 5: say taxes last year. Now he's got to pay a lot.
- 13:34Speaker 5: Super smart job are have a great season.
- 13:37Speaker 4: Well, I am Aliava's going to media day for u
- 13:41Speaker 4: C l A in the Big Ten. We'll tell you
- 13:42Speaker 4: who's going to media day for LSU next week in
- 13:44Speaker 4: Atlanta when we come back on O TV.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Off the Bench.
- 13:52Speaker 4: Could hit all sorts Tota things. Jordan Rates athlete, uh oh,
- 13:56Speaker 4: Grace athlete.
- 13:57Speaker 5: What do you think they think about Tiger Woods?
- 14:00Speaker 4: Probably not near like Deon Sanders or Bo Jackson, or
- 14:04Speaker 4: they probably think was the top three athlete. Julius Peppers
- 14:09Speaker 4: and just Pepper's stud just like everybody to All Star.
- 14:12Speaker 4: What say something about Julius Pepper?
- 14:15Speaker 5: Do you know what's great about him?
- 14:17Speaker 1: What?
- 14:17Speaker 5: He's huge? I guess what he'll fit in Toyota?
- 14:21Speaker 4: Yeah, a Sequoia tundra yep, probably a tacoma. He loves
- 14:25Speaker 4: in a mini van. He's fitting.
- 14:29Speaker 5: My teammate. Dude, we called him the Doctor.
- 14:33Speaker 4: Don't you dare say anything bad about that man? Crazy
- 14:36Speaker 4: athletics play basketball, U n C football in the NFL.
- 14:40Speaker 5: All Star Toyota Baton, Rage, go get you a new car?
- 14:43Speaker 5: About All Stars?
- 14:44Speaker 4: A lot of Choices by new Lisa Greening All start

- 15:24Speaker 4: All right, welcome back, heah OTV here on this Wednesday
- 15:27Speaker 4: morning week, moving right along. Oh, we're going by quick
- 15:31Speaker 4: here as we are in anticipation and heading to Atlanta
- 15:35Speaker 4: on Sunday for Monday's media day. And before we tell
- 15:38Speaker 4: you who LSU is bringing to Atlanta, let's go ahead
- 15:41Speaker 4: and get this thing started.
- 15:45Speaker 2: It's time to get to work.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Courtesy of Go flow ivy spa, where hydration, vitamins and
- 15:50Speaker 1: a summer ready glow are always on tap.
- 15:53Speaker 4: Now for starters, all right, go to go flow iv
- 15:58Speaker 4: dot com. Two do you five nine three eight one
- 16:01Speaker 4: five zero is the number. You can visit them on
- 16:04Speaker 4: Facebook as well. That page is go flow iv Spa.
- 16:07Speaker 4: You can go visit them right on Jefferson near Bocage.
- 16:10Speaker 4: Book your appointment today again. You see it right there,

- 16:23Speaker 5: what they can do, their services, their packages, talk about memberships,
- 16:27Speaker 5: whatever it is. Go see go get vitamized, go get hydrated,
- 16:30Speaker 5: Go flow iv spa, Go flow iv dot com.
- 16:34Speaker 4: All right, So we now know who LSU is bringing
- 16:37Speaker 4: to media days, and you know the first two guys,
- 16:41Speaker 4: no surprise, Garrettnusmeyer on offense, Witweeks on defense. Duh, Well,
- 16:48Speaker 4: anybody could have guessed those two players. But we were
- 16:50Speaker 4: wondering who's the third player gonna be. We didn't really
- 16:52Speaker 4: know a lot of different options, but we didn't know
- 16:54Speaker 4: where they go offense, where they go defense. And they're
- 16:58Speaker 4: bringing Chris Hilton receiver, who obviously is going to be
- 17:02Speaker 4: a big part of LSU's offense. When you look at
- 17:05Speaker 4: his LSU career, he's playing behind you know, Molik Neighbors
- 17:10Speaker 4: and Brian Thomas Junior and Kyron Lacey. Like he's got
- 17:14Speaker 4: some really good players in front of him, and he
- 17:18Speaker 4: was going to be a big part last year. Anybody
- 17:20Speaker 4: that went out to training camp practice was like, Okay,
- 17:22Speaker 4: this guy's flashing. It's now his time. He's going to
- 17:25Speaker 4: be a big part of the offense. We all know
- 17:28Speaker 4: he gets hurt, he comes back, and he was rusty,
- 17:31Speaker 4: is what it is. We talked about it. They were
- 17:34Speaker 4: trying to get him the football because they know what
- 17:36Speaker 4: kind of a weapon he can be. But man, no, man,
- 17:39Speaker 4: did it start to hit there at the end of
- 17:42Speaker 4: the year. You look at the Oklahoma game, you look
- 17:44Speaker 4: at what he did against Baylor in the bowl game.
- 17:46Speaker 4: It's like, oh, that is what Chris Hilton can be.
- 17:49Speaker 4: That is the guy we saw all training camp long
- 17:51Speaker 4: when he was fully healthy. So I'm kind of like
- 17:54Speaker 4: when I heard his name, I'm like, Okay, well, that's
- 17:57Speaker 4: a guy that waited his turn. He's had to hang around.
- 18:01Speaker 4: He's he had two like generational receivers. And I don't
- 18:05Speaker 4: use that lightly. I mean, look at what they did
- 18:07Speaker 4: in the NFL last year ahead of him, when he
- 18:11Speaker 4: was going to be the guy. He got hurt, he
- 18:14Speaker 4: came back, went through some criticism, didn't allow it to
- 18:17Speaker 4: affect him to the point where he just shut it down.
- 18:21Speaker 4: He continued to play, and then at the end of
- 18:23Speaker 4: the year when he was healthy, he was thriving. And
- 18:26Speaker 4: now he's going to be counted on as probably your
- 18:29Speaker 4: big play weapon. Now the receiver room is stacked. It's
- 18:32Speaker 4: gonna you know, four or five guys are going to
- 18:35Speaker 4: have ten plus catches this year, maybe even more. I'm
- 18:38Speaker 4: just talking about just from the receiver room, not even
- 18:41Speaker 4: counting tight ends and backs. But he's still he is
- 18:44Speaker 4: going to be your guy when you need a big play,
- 18:46Speaker 4: when you need a shot down the field, it's going
- 18:48Speaker 4: to be number three. So, you know, excited for him,
- 18:51Speaker 4: Glad he's getting this opportunity because he's been here a
- 18:54Speaker 4: long time, he's a senior, he's waited his turn, and
- 18:57Speaker 4: now they're going to be counting on him.
- 18:58Speaker 5: Yeah, you know, look at it. It's like Chris Hilton
- 19:01Speaker 5: going into his fifth year, fifth season here at LSU.
- 19:03Speaker 5: So what it tells me that Brian Kelly decided to
- 19:07Speaker 5: bring him is, you know, when we look back at
- 19:09Speaker 5: we talk about this sometimes, like when we look back
- 19:11Speaker 5: at our team and the team's championship teams, there's always
- 19:14Speaker 5: like a like a common denominator, and it's always that
- 19:17Speaker 5: there's really good leadership on the team. And so let's
- 19:20Speaker 5: take a step back and look at the seven team.
- 19:23Speaker 5: I always say that like every position group had a
- 19:27Speaker 5: leader in that position group. When you break out the
- 19:30Speaker 5: meetings and quarterbacks, receivers, tight ends, like everybody had a
- 19:33Speaker 5: really good leader in almost every single room on the team.
- 19:36Speaker 5: And then on offense you come together and the defense
- 19:38Speaker 5: comes together and there's clear leaders like as the group
- 19:41Speaker 5: in general and then there's clear leaders as an entire team,
- 19:44Speaker 5: and there's just like this, there's this, there's this beautiful
- 19:48Speaker 5: hierarchy of good leadership. So nobody player on that team
- 19:51Speaker 5: is ever around or in the group a small group,
- 19:55Speaker 5: meeting group, or a large group around your teammates that there
- 19:58Speaker 5: isn't a clear and definitive leader. What this tells me is,
- 20:01Speaker 5: in as talented of a receiver room as LSU has
- 20:04Speaker 5: right now, that Chris Hilton is the guy that people
- 20:08Speaker 5: point to look to to be that leader, and he
- 20:11Speaker 5: might not be the leading receiver. I don't know. I
- 20:13Speaker 5: don't know that we're kind of have this luxury that
- 20:16Speaker 5: we could go to. We don't know who the leading
- 20:19Speaker 5: receiver on the team is going to be at the
- 20:20Speaker 5: end of the year, for like a yardage touchdown standpoint,
- 20:22Speaker 5: because it could be anybody any given game. It could
- 20:25Speaker 5: be Hilton one game he's you know, catches for one
- 20:28Speaker 5: hundred and forty yards, and the next game is Anderson
- 20:30Speaker 5: catches for one hundred and forty yards. Like it could
- 20:32Speaker 5: go game by game. I don't think there's gonna be
- 20:33Speaker 5: one guy that shines. But from a leadership standpoint, what
- 20:37Speaker 5: the coaches believe and how they feel about this guy
- 20:41Speaker 5: on how people look up to him is this is
- 20:44Speaker 5: a pretty big honor to me that he's getting getting
- 20:46Speaker 5: the invite to go to SEC media days, because that
- 20:49Speaker 5: just shows you what the coaches and what his teammates
- 20:52Speaker 5: think of him.
- 20:53Speaker 4: So when you look at what he did a year ago,
- 20:56Speaker 4: I know, look at is a very small sample size.
- 20:58Speaker 4: He didn't come back until late October. But those last
- 21:02Speaker 4: two games is exactly what he can give you. Maybe
- 21:07Speaker 4: you have maybe Brown can give it to you. Right,
- 21:09Speaker 4: he's coming over from Kentucky. That's also kind of his
- 21:12Speaker 4: skill set, but you don't know how it's going to
- 21:13Speaker 4: translate in purple and goal. When you look at what
- 21:16Speaker 4: Chris Hilton Junior did against Oklahoma two catches, eighty five yards,
- 21:20Speaker 4: two touchdowns, all right, you look at what he did
- 21:22Speaker 4: against Baylor, four catches, one hundred and thirteen yards in
- 21:26Speaker 4: a touchdown. He averaged only the year Now, look, he
- 21:29Speaker 4: only had nine catches, you know that, but he had
- 21:31Speaker 4: nine catches for two hundred and forty three yards. Three
- 21:34Speaker 4: of those went for a touchdown, and he averaged twenty
- 21:37Speaker 4: seven yards per catch. That's what he can give you.
- 21:41Speaker 4: And so like on the field expecting big things from him,
- 21:44Speaker 4: but like Matt just said, in a room full of
- 21:48Speaker 4: really talented players, an alpha room, he's a guy that
- 21:52Speaker 4: they identified as the leader of that room, and they're
- 21:55Speaker 4: bringing games of media there.
- 21:58Speaker 5: Yeah, and looking forward to talk to him, seeing him,
- 22:00Speaker 5: looking forward to hearing what he has to say and
- 22:02Speaker 5: what all the players have to say. You know, we
- 22:04Speaker 5: we kind of talked about this set. You know, college
- 22:07Speaker 5: college athletes are kind of taught and directed to not
- 22:11Speaker 5: say much with their words. You know, speak for a
- 22:13Speaker 5: little while, but don't say anything. Basically, don't give any
- 22:16Speaker 5: Billboard material whatever it is. So we hope that we
- 22:20Speaker 5: can get a little bit out of them, you know
- 22:21Speaker 5: what I mean. Well, personality show much.
- 22:25Speaker 4: I'll say this. They're much better than we were.
- 22:28Speaker 5: Well, we were terrible.
- 22:29Speaker 4: The worst they you know, they do commercials and they
- 22:32Speaker 4: do appearances and they do other things. We were like
- 22:36Speaker 4: the color commentator in the movie Major League where Harry
- 22:40Speaker 4: Doyle just kind of passes out and they're like you
- 22:43Speaker 4: got it and he flips over and there's like this
- 22:45Speaker 4: incredible play and fly ball.
- 22:48Speaker 5: If I would have gone to sec ME today, Yeah,
- 22:51Speaker 5: we we have a really good team and We've been
- 22:54Speaker 5: working really hard. We're excited for the season. We're just
- 22:57Speaker 5: gonna take it one game at a time. But you know,
- 22:59Speaker 5: we got training camp, so we gotta take one practice
- 23:01Speaker 5: at a time, and then in practice, we gotta take
- 23:03Speaker 5: one play at a time. Yeah. I really, I really
- 23:05Speaker 5: think we're gonna be good. And I just I'm just
- 23:07Speaker 5: proud to be here. Go Tigers.
- 23:09Speaker 4: Yeah, we respect all of our opponents. We're not looking forward.
- 23:11Speaker 4: We're not looking past any opponents. No care that we
- 23:14Speaker 4: got the Florida Gators coming to town.
- 23:16Speaker 5: Most important game is the next care that we got.
- 23:17Speaker 4: Virginia Tech early in the season, we got Mississippi State.
- 23:20Speaker 4: When you go to Startville, Mississippi and those cowbills are bringing,
- 23:23Speaker 4: you don't know what's gonna happen.
- 23:24Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean it's an SEC game. It's an SEC
- 23:27Speaker 5: even though it is Mississippi State and they're terrible, it's
- 23:30Speaker 5: an SEC game.
- 23:32Speaker 4: Breaks out had seven interceptions, you.
- 23:33Speaker 8: Gotta throw in. I mean, hey, Matt Flinn's just one man,
- 23:36Speaker 8: just one man.
- 23:38Speaker 4: I've definitely done that interview before.
- 23:41Speaker 5: Yeah, we were like, I remember my wife used to
- 23:44Speaker 5: be like, can you just like say something like like
- 23:47Speaker 5: can your personality show a little bit. It's kind of
- 23:49Speaker 5: like that uh, that meme that floats around with a
- 23:53Speaker 5: guy with like the cartoon care with a stick, like
- 23:55Speaker 5: do something like me? Just like, hey, do something in
- 23:58Speaker 5: an interview? Please?
- 24:00Speaker 4: You get better? It's so much cooler now you get
- 24:03Speaker 4: better in the NFL, Right.
- 24:04Speaker 5: I did once? I like once I didn't like care
- 24:07Speaker 5: the only thing bat I didn't care.
- 24:08Speaker 4: How I played, like about or bad about being good
- 24:11Speaker 4: at interviews in the NFL after a loss, They're gonna
- 24:14Speaker 4: come into the locker room. I'm like, well he ain't. No, Hey, hey,
- 24:18Speaker 4: you want to get on podium?
- 24:20Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 24:20Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, you good you They don't want to talk
- 24:23Speaker 4: to me.
- 24:23Speaker 5: You got the game, just in it fifteen minutes ago.
- 24:25Speaker 5: Let me take a shower. Yeah, you gotta take a shower,
- 24:29Speaker 5: walk around.
- 24:29Speaker 4: I played thirty plays and twenty two of them were ISOs.
- 24:33Speaker 5: What was the time limit after NFL games that they
- 24:36Speaker 5: said the media the doors opened to the media. Was
- 24:39Speaker 5: it twenty minutes?
- 24:40Speaker 4: No, no, no, it wasn't that long as.
- 24:41Speaker 5: It's fifteen minutes, It wasn't. It wasn't less than fifteen.
- 24:44Speaker 4: So fifteen from the time that, like, you go into
- 24:47Speaker 4: the wa you go like go in, not like start
- 24:50Speaker 4: talking or go into the locker room. Fifteen minutes.
- 24:52Speaker 5: So just think about the NFL grown men. They just
- 24:56Speaker 5: fought their tails off, beating each other up, beating up
- 24:59Speaker 5: other grown men, getting beat up on you. Either win,
- 25:01Speaker 5: you lose, doesn't matter if it's playoffs, middle of the season,
- 25:04Speaker 5: whatever it is. I don't care if it's the most
- 25:06Speaker 5: heartbreaking loss ever. That media is coming in and that's
- 25:10Speaker 5: it's like fifty to one hundred of them. They're coming
- 25:12Speaker 5: into the locker room, and so you gotta listen to
- 25:15Speaker 5: your head coach talk. You gotta break it down, you
- 25:17Speaker 5: gotta you gotta whatever it is, get mad, get upset,
- 25:20Speaker 5: be happy, celebrate, cry, whatever it is. And then the
- 25:24Speaker 5: media comes in and it's not just like male members
- 25:28Speaker 5: of the media, and so you're having to like take
- 25:30Speaker 5: showers and stuff, and there's all sorts of awkward. I
- 25:35Speaker 5: feel like it should be like a thirty forty five minutes.
- 25:38Speaker 4: I don't love it.
- 25:38Speaker 5: No, it's they're catching they are catching pretty raw emotions. Yeah,
- 25:43Speaker 5: I don't love it, and raw views as well. Anyway,
- 25:48Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 25:48Speaker 4: How we got there, Like, can I get this eye
- 25:51Speaker 4: black off? My face before you even like come in here,
- 25:54Speaker 4: like give me some time.
- 25:55Speaker 5: Yep, good or bad?
- 25:57Speaker 4: Let me have some time. That's why all always say
- 26:01Speaker 4: when referees mess up, they should have to answer questions too.
- 26:07Speaker 4: Matt through an interception to lose the game, He's got
- 26:09Speaker 4: fifteen minutes to think about it. If I fumbled to
- 26:12Speaker 4: lose the game, I got fifteen minutes, and I gotta
- 26:14Speaker 4: tell you why I fumbled. I gotta walk through the play.
- 26:16Speaker 4: I gotta tell you why my boss security was poor.
- 26:20Speaker 4: Referees just collect the check.
- 26:23Speaker 5: That's well, like it. Don't ever get upset at athletes
- 26:25Speaker 5: like for what they say, especially after a game. It's like,
- 26:28Speaker 5: have you ever been emotional? You ever get mad and
- 26:31Speaker 5: say something you didn't mean? Thank it's all out there.
- 26:35Speaker 4: But to see if we can pull up a clip
- 26:37Speaker 4: of Flynn post game. I'm sure there.
- 26:39Speaker 5: Oh no, I'm sure, I'm fine. I'm sure I'm super boring.
- 26:43Speaker 4: Ye for one, Well, when your wife tells you you're
- 26:45Speaker 4: boring in interviews, probably a good sign.
- 26:48Speaker 5: That's what I was trained to do. I go back
- 26:50Speaker 5: to my Tommy Karen training days.
- 26:54Speaker 4: All right, So again, Gary Desmeyer, Witweeks, Chris Hilton, Junior
- 26:57Speaker 4: are going to be in Atlanta representing LSH. We got
- 27:00Speaker 4: the full list of SEC attendees. Some surprises, some teams
- 27:04Speaker 4: not bringing their quarterback. What does that mean? But we'll
- 27:07Speaker 4: break all that down when we come back here on
- 27:09Speaker 4: O T be off the bench, all right. Go to
- 27:15Speaker 4: trash rangers dot com. Trash ranger dot com is the
- 27:18Speaker 4: website for, well, you guess, the trash Rangers of Louisiana.
- 27:21Speaker 4: They are the reliable and hassle free trash removal service
- 27:24Speaker 4: here in South Louisiana. They will simplify your trash disposal,
- 27:29Speaker 4: no hidden fees, reliable weekly service, and text reminders. That
- 27:33Speaker 4: is important. You won't be in the doghouse when you
- 27:36Speaker 4: forget the trash, because inevitably it is going to happen,
- 27:39Speaker 4: but trash Rangers doesn't allow it to happen. Two two
- 27:42Speaker 4: five six one two two four seven seventh.
- 27:44Speaker 5: You ever have like a crawfish boil at the house,
- 27:46Speaker 5: or have some sort of like maybe a boil some
- 27:48Speaker 5: shrimp something like that, and you have that stinky bag
- 27:51Speaker 5: of trash and then you wake up sleep late maybe
- 27:55Speaker 5: and you're like, oh my god, the trash came this morning.
- 27:58Speaker 5: That's the worst feeling. Your wife is telling you, well,
- 28:00Speaker 5: you got to get rid of it. So you're driving
- 28:01Speaker 5: around town trying to find an abandoned dumpster somewhere, trying. No,
- 28:04Speaker 5: don't do that. They will give you text reminders every
- 28:08Speaker 5: single week. Residential, commercial, industrial, whatever it is. Trash Raiders dot.
- 28:13Speaker 9: Com from the locker room to the airwaves.
- 28:36Speaker 1: Gets off the bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 29:08Speaker 4: All right, welcome back in OTV one of four to
- 29:11Speaker 4: five ESPN Beton Rouge. As we mentioned last segment for
- 29:18Speaker 4: l Shue, it is Chris Hilton Junior, Garrett Nussmeier, and
- 29:21Speaker 4: Wit Weeks. But we do have a full list of attendees,
- 29:25Speaker 4: no surprise in some of these places. Florida's bringing DJ Lagway,
- 29:30Speaker 4: George is bringing Gunner Stockton, Blake Shapin is going to
- 29:34Speaker 4: be there for Mississippi State, arch Manning going to be
- 29:38Speaker 4: there for Texas. All those are you know, Diego Pavia
- 29:42Speaker 4: is going for Vanderbilt, Lenor Seller's going for South Carolina.
- 29:46Speaker 4: So those are the obvious ones, right. Some of the
- 29:48Speaker 4: things that stood out to me Alabama not bringing a quarterback,
- 29:52Speaker 4: so that lets me know, like that is still an
- 29:54Speaker 4: open job. Alburn's bringing Jackson Arnold. Remember they got Daniels
- 30:01Speaker 4: the starter from Stanford to transfer in. They also have
- 30:04Speaker 4: Deuce Night five star freshmen. But Jackson and Arnold coming
- 30:07Speaker 4: to media day for Auburn feels like a big deal
- 30:09Speaker 4: for them. Kentucky not bringing a quarterback? What are you using?
- 30:15Speaker 7: Flynn spreadsheet?
- 30:16Speaker 5: Hell? Yeah, I even made some improvements.
- 30:19Speaker 4: Can we turn the psyching down here?
- 30:23Speaker 1: Hear that?
- 30:24Speaker 5: Because I got headphones on you.
- 30:28Speaker 8: Sorry, it's okay, it's I think it's a cool sound effect.
- 30:32Speaker 7: Thank you, little background using.
- 30:34Speaker 5: It's a time trial, individual time trials. We'll talk about
- 30:39Speaker 5: it later.
- 30:39Speaker 4: All right, teams not bringing a quarterback.
- 30:41Speaker 7: I was about to ask a question, but what about tour?
- 30:44Speaker 4: Go ahead?
- 30:45Speaker 7: So they all like are riding not on the team.
- 30:47Speaker 7: There's no peloton today, it's.
- 30:49Speaker 5: Just to two time trials to the twenty one today.
- 30:55Speaker 7: Yeah, going right now?
- 30:56Speaker 5: Are today? Is one at a time, so it takes multiple
- 30:59Speaker 5: hours to.
- 30:59Speaker 7: Get them ast Oh they do one at a time.
- 31:02Speaker 5: At a time, individual time trials.
- 31:03Speaker 7: That feels inefficient.
- 31:04Speaker 5: So you're just like racing against the clock, racing against yourself. Okay,
- 31:07Speaker 5: push it as.
- 31:08Speaker 6: Hard as you can, like a kilometer wise or like
- 31:12Speaker 6: how many or how many miles?
- 31:14Speaker 5: Good question, I don't know. Just turned it on so
- 31:16Speaker 5: we'll get more. This guy's got a sweet mullet in
- 31:18Speaker 5: the food man. All right, well I'm pulling for that guy.
- 31:22Speaker 7: MATEO, he's American.
- 31:23Speaker 5: This is not mateya.
- 31:25Speaker 6: I don't know who this is, okay, anyway, okay, takes like.
- 31:29Speaker 4: I just don't know any of these names, and and
- 31:31Speaker 4: you're you're describing on the screen that only you can see.
- 31:34Speaker 7: Look at this guy, Look at this guy.
- 31:37Speaker 5: Amazing, it's the same thing. That's just.
- 31:41Speaker 7: What does he look like? You gotta describe him?
- 31:44Speaker 5: Well, he's got a mullet and popping out of a
- 31:47Speaker 5: beautiful bicycle helmet and a blonde food Manchew's pretty barely.
- 31:52Speaker 5: I'm gonna check the screenshot. You God, this guy's incredible.
- 31:57Speaker 5: What an athlete?
- 31:58Speaker 4: Kayla Presley, Yeah, Caleb Press what he looks like? I'm
- 32:01Speaker 4: looking at him right now. No, you should have just
- 32:05Speaker 4: taken a screenshot right there. Anyways, No quarterback for Alabama,
- 32:10Speaker 4: no quarterback for Kentucky, no quarterback for Missouri, no quarterback
- 32:14Speaker 4: for Tennessee. But I think more importantly, no quarterback for Texas,
- 32:19Speaker 4: A and M that is not being there is interesting.
- 32:26Speaker 6: I don't know, because he wasn't the starter last year
- 32:29Speaker 6: and this is isn't he a sophomore? Yeah, just like Oh,
- 32:33Speaker 6: I don't know though, maybe it is interesting though.
- 32:36Speaker 4: They're bringing a dB offensive lineman and a linebacker. Look, Tennessee, okay,
- 32:45Speaker 4: you know you made a trade. You got Aguilar coming in.
- 32:49Speaker 4: He's barely been there. It makes sense Missouri, right, you
- 32:51Speaker 4: get somebody out of the portal from Penn State hasn't
- 32:54Speaker 4: really been there too long. That one makes a little
- 32:57Speaker 4: sense for you. To me. It is A and M
- 33:00Speaker 4: and it. You know, Kentucky just doesn't have one. That's
- 33:02Speaker 4: I don't think. I don't think Zach Cal's ota would
- 33:04Speaker 4: really move the needle. But Alabama like it not being
- 33:07Speaker 4: Ty Simpson. Look, they've got, you know, Keilan Russell, somebody
- 33:10Speaker 4: that is a five star guy. Again, They've they've got
- 33:13Speaker 4: to transfer that they brought in that the coaching staff
- 33:15Speaker 4: obviously knows and recruited and loves. I don't know, if
- 33:19Speaker 4: if I'm an Alabama fan, I think I would have
- 33:21Speaker 4: wanted to see Ty Simpson in this spot because I
- 33:24Speaker 4: think that means he's done a little bit since post
- 33:27Speaker 4: spring to maybe grab that job, right.
- 33:29Speaker 8: Because like whether you love or hate Ty Simpson, like
- 33:32Speaker 8: you want to know who your guy is, you still
- 33:34Speaker 8: don't know, Like they like Alston Mack a lot.
- 33:37Speaker 5: But he thinks it's gonna be something like even know.
- 33:40Speaker 5: And it is surprising because as we all know, like
- 33:42Speaker 5: the quarterback by default, just by playing the position, is
- 33:47Speaker 5: a leader. It's like a de facto leader that has
- 33:49Speaker 5: to be the leader. He's just a leader because he's
- 33:51Speaker 5: the one person that talks on the field, he's the
- 33:53Speaker 5: one person that touches the ball every single time. It's
- 33:55Speaker 5: the most important position on the field. So even if
- 33:58Speaker 5: you're not a good speaker or good talker, or you're
- 34:01Speaker 5: quiet or reserved, it doesn't matter because I mean, you're
- 34:05Speaker 5: a leader by the position you play. So if you're
- 34:09Speaker 5: secured at that position, then you take them. Like I
- 34:13Speaker 5: looked back, I didn't go, I didn't get invited. But
- 34:16Speaker 5: there was also this Miles was also hadn't said I
- 34:20Speaker 5: was a full time starter at that time either. But
- 34:23Speaker 5: like so I look back at the Texas A and
- 34:24Speaker 5: m one is strange to me because he's a starter. Huh.
- 34:28Speaker 5: He is a starter, right, He's the guy So he's
- 34:31Speaker 5: either Elko's either like trying to create the illusion of
- 34:34Speaker 5: like competition, competition, like we're we're not gonna you know,
- 34:39Speaker 5: he's got to be creating that illusion, or he's just saying,
- 34:41Speaker 5: like this guy is I want to he gets stressed
- 34:45Speaker 5: out in this kind of a viral, or he's not
- 34:46Speaker 5: good with the media or a good talker and I
- 34:48Speaker 5: don't want to put that on his plate. Or he's
- 34:50Speaker 5: just saying, we got some really kick ass leaders at
- 34:53Speaker 5: these other positions, some older guys, and I know they
- 34:56Speaker 5: have a lot of really good captains and leaders on
- 34:58Speaker 5: their defense that have been there and played along time
- 35:00Speaker 5: and are good, big vocal leaders. So but it is
- 35:04Speaker 5: strange because quarterback by default should be there because they're
- 35:08Speaker 5: always a leader, whether they want to be or not.
- 35:13Speaker 8: To your point, eleven quarterbacks are going this year.
- 35:17Speaker 5: M And like Jake said, like I get it, Like
- 35:23Speaker 5: if you're if you're in a like a like a
- 35:25Speaker 5: for real battle, then yeah, don't take a quarterback for sure.
- 35:28Speaker 5: But if you have a guy that everybody that you
- 35:31Speaker 5: know and everybody knows is going to start and it's
- 35:33Speaker 5: going to be returning for some point.
- 35:35Speaker 4: Yeah, I think who their backup quarterbacks is what Zeno
- 35:38Speaker 4: from UAB if I'm if I'm not mistaken at A
- 35:40Speaker 4: and M so, I don't think there's a competition there.
- 35:45Speaker 4: I mean, I know he's a guy that started at UAB,
- 35:47Speaker 4: but they kind of just bring him in. I think
- 35:48Speaker 4: is an insurance policy. So that definitely stood out to me,
- 35:52Speaker 4: and like a couple of other things that did stand out,
- 35:55Speaker 4: like Arch Manning is finally going to get like that
- 35:58Speaker 4: moment in that time where he's got to answer the
- 36:01Speaker 4: questions and everybody's going to be just chomping at the
- 36:03Speaker 4: bit to get to Arch Manning and ask him all
- 36:05Speaker 4: the questions and the questions that they've been just piling
- 36:08Speaker 4: up for two years. And he's gonna have to go
- 36:10Speaker 4: through the old media car wash.
- 36:12Speaker 5: We're gonna press him.
- 36:14Speaker 7: He's going to have an overwhelming week.
- 36:15Speaker 4: I think he's an afternoon I think Texas the Afternoon team.
- 36:20Speaker 8: To Lincoln, stay late and get him while you're doing
- 36:22Speaker 8: your other show.
- 36:24Speaker 7: Yeah, Arch so.
- 36:26Speaker 5: Bro oh, Johnny Moxon, nothing, that's all I needed. One question,
- 36:35Speaker 5: one and done.
- 36:36Speaker 4: I'll bet you to a dollar to a donut. You
- 36:39Speaker 4: don't do that, we'll.
- 36:42Speaker 5: See I mean after after lunch. I don't know, kind
- 36:47Speaker 5: of after vacation, you might get crazy.
- 36:53Speaker 4: I can't wait until like I'm going to be gone,
- 36:57Speaker 4: and Hunt's going to be getting ready for his show.
- 36:59Speaker 4: So he's gonna have like, you know, our table, our set, whatever.
- 37:03Speaker 4: And you're gonna have like River's gonna have to help you,
- 37:07Speaker 4: and you're gonna have like a little tiny recorder. You
- 37:09Speaker 4: got to go like in a corner of a room
- 37:10Speaker 4: like a beat reporter, and you're gonna have to record
- 37:12Speaker 4: some of these interviews.
- 37:13Speaker 5: I can tell you I'm not gonna be great at this.
- 37:17Speaker 10: Hey, hey, I need an effort because look, T Bob's
- 37:25Speaker 10: obviously really good at this job, right yeah, T Bob
- 37:28Speaker 10: and T Bob is not scared to do anything right.
- 37:31Speaker 4: T Bob at the Senior Bowl had a fail moment
- 37:34Speaker 4: in the same situation this year, like it happens.
- 37:41Speaker 5: What was the film.
- 37:44Speaker 10: Was?
- 37:44Speaker 8: It was either a Lord of the Rings or a
- 37:45Speaker 8: Star Wars, and the guys like, yeah, I've seen it.
- 37:48Speaker 8: Bob gets so excited. He's like, oh, dude, tell me
- 37:50Speaker 8: all about like what's your favorite one? And the guy's like,
- 37:53Speaker 8: I don't really know. When T Bob was just kind
- 37:54Speaker 8: of like.
- 37:55Speaker 4: It was like the way he was like a little
- 37:57Speaker 4: lost and he's like, I'm gonna go to what I know,
- 38:00Speaker 4: Lord of the Rings and stuff.
- 38:01Speaker 8: It was Walter Nolan was and he had another one
- 38:05Speaker 8: I don't remember who.
- 38:06Speaker 4: Was Lady Walker from Kentucky. I'm pretty sure.
- 38:09Speaker 7: They were both so awkward. Those are my favorite ever.
- 38:12Speaker 7: We kept playing it.
- 38:13Speaker 4: My point is we've all got nothing, so you're gonna
- 38:16Speaker 4: have an awkward moment.
- 38:17Speaker 5: It's they're more nervous than you. Dude, Like, you're good, you're.
- 38:20Speaker 8: Not interviewing NFL head coaches, you're not even in college
- 38:24Speaker 8: that either.
- 38:25Speaker 5: I think you can always.
- 38:26Speaker 6: Fall back on, like, also, you're Matt Flynn and there
- 38:29Speaker 6: they probably like are like, oh my god, I'm talking
- 38:32Speaker 6: about pretty old.
- 38:34Speaker 5: I don't know if they were born when we were
- 38:35Speaker 5: playing where you're where your l s E jersey. That'll
- 38:37Speaker 5: make you look cool, that's true, I just wear helmet.
- 38:39Speaker 4: They were they were barely born. They were barely born.
- 38:42Speaker 6: You can take where I can think that we're sure
- 38:45Speaker 6: that says I'm Matt Flynn.
- 38:47Speaker 5: Give me some fallback questions like if I get lost,
- 38:49Speaker 5: like what's your favorite stadium to play him? That's a
- 38:52Speaker 5: good that's a good one.
- 38:53Speaker 7: That's a good solid.
- 38:54Speaker 5: If y'all hear that question next week.
- 38:56Speaker 4: No, certainly, Just Foster, if you're talking to a quarterback
- 39:05Speaker 4: and you're you're swimming in it, you're in the deep
- 39:08Speaker 4: end right with a weight tied to your ankle. Sure,
- 39:11Speaker 4: you just asked, Hey, the quarterback, what's been the most
- 39:13Speaker 4: difficult environment you've been in? Yeah, that's it. And then
- 39:17Speaker 4: they're going to talk about it. And then once they
- 39:19Speaker 4: say the venue you make Oh I remember when I
- 39:21Speaker 4: played there and it was blank blank blank blank.
- 39:25Speaker 5: I want to know. Yeah, this is what I want
- 39:27Speaker 5: to ask these quarterbacks this when you fake clap and
- 39:31Speaker 5: your hands only come like eight inches apart, do you
- 39:33Speaker 5: think that fools people?
- 39:37Speaker 7: Because I saw it?
- 39:42Speaker 5: Dude.
- 39:43Speaker 4: Yeah, that's a good one.
- 39:44Speaker 5: That's a good question. How stupid do you think that
- 39:46Speaker 5: clap count is?
- 39:48Speaker 4: Dude?
- 39:48Speaker 5: That's a good one.
- 39:48Speaker 8: For the defensive players, like we got called a few times.
- 39:52Speaker 5: Make all the interviews about the clapcount.
- 39:54Speaker 8: They get the linebackers more than anybody, like any of
- 39:56Speaker 8: the linebackers.
- 39:57Speaker 5: That's a good one. Hey, Sarkesian, Uh, clap down, It's
- 40:00Speaker 5: pretty dumb. Why do you do it?
- 40:01Speaker 4: Yeah? Sec Media day is the only place you can
- 40:03Speaker 4: openly talk about the clap and it.
- 40:05Speaker 6: Be okay bo if you ask what if you ask them,
- 40:10Speaker 6: I'm playing uh well close to home against the Cowboys.
- 40:14Speaker 5: It was great.
- 40:14Speaker 11: It's very obviously, it's exciting, very fulfilling. I don't think
- 40:18Speaker 11: it's kind of set down, but it's, uh, it's nice
- 40:22Speaker 11: to you know. Come on, I've been a cat with
- 40:23Speaker 11: fan for for my life, whole life and having a
- 40:25Speaker 11: bunch of family here and it's.
- 40:27Speaker 5: Just been great.
- 40:28Speaker 7: Were you sick or something?
- 40:30Speaker 8: Why the hell you so raspy both yelling out the
- 40:32Speaker 8: kidens probably.
- 40:33Speaker 4: Play that again? Play that again, Play again, play again.
- 40:37Speaker 5: Because I was Yeah, because I didn't do it class.
- 40:39Speaker 11: It's very obviously, it's exciting, very fulfilling. I don't think
- 40:42Speaker 11: it's kind of set down, but it's, uh, it's nice
- 40:46Speaker 11: to you know. Come on, I've been a caw with
- 40:48Speaker 11: fan for for my my whole life and having a
- 40:50Speaker 11: bunch of family here and it's just been great.
- 40:55Speaker 4: Why do you why do you sound like you're a
- 40:57Speaker 4: member of like the nineteen sixty one rat pack and
- 40:59Speaker 4: you just burned a whole pack of heaters. Well, let
- 41:01Speaker 4: me tell you, so are you a crooner for one.
- 41:04Speaker 5: For one, I wasn't doing a clop count using my
- 41:08Speaker 5: mouth and my voice to do a snap count like
- 41:10Speaker 5: a real football team.
- 41:13Speaker 9: Uh.

- 43:04Speaker 4: You said something about you and your.
- 43:06Speaker 5: Oh that's why my voice was so rass.
- 43:08Speaker 7: Ye when you played against the Cowboys.
- 43:11Speaker 5: Well, you just went through the fire. You fought with
- 43:15Speaker 5: your brethren, You put it out on the line a
- 43:18Speaker 5: little emotional time, and it was a little bit more
- 43:20Speaker 5: emotional for me at the time because this was two thousand,
- 43:24Speaker 5: was into this is December twenty thirteen. Season twenty twelve
- 43:31Speaker 5: was when I had my season in Seattle, which was,
- 43:34Speaker 5: you know, emotionally tough season. Then I went to Oakland,
- 43:40Speaker 5: which was emotionally detrimental to anybody that goes over there, certainly,
- 43:45Speaker 5: And so like I was at a place where it's like, man,
- 43:48Speaker 5: my confidence was kind of like down. I thought my
- 43:51Speaker 5: career was over, blah blah blah. But then you come
- 43:53Speaker 5: back and have a good game like that. It was
- 43:54Speaker 5: a very emotional experience. I was kind of a little
- 43:56Speaker 5: probably a little choked up after the game.
- 43:59Speaker 4: Look at you.
- 44:00Speaker 5: I mean, you know, I care. I care about things.
- 44:05Speaker 5: I want to play good. You try to play good.
- 44:06Speaker 5: I think we play pretty good that.
- 44:07Speaker 4: Day, being back home from the state of Texas, being
- 44:12Speaker 4: back home with the Packers. Yeah, like you said, you
- 44:14Speaker 4: thought maybe the career was done.
- 44:17Speaker 5: And I got to do it on the same It
- 44:19Speaker 5: wasn't the same field, but like the same area, the
- 44:22Speaker 5: same team stadium where I played high school playoff games.
- 44:25Speaker 5: That's cool?
- 44:27Speaker 4: Is that? Is that where you were playing? When Jimbo
- 44:28Speaker 4: tells the story of your center snapping it.
- 44:30Speaker 5: Over your head, Yeah it was the old Texas Stadium, right,
- 44:33Speaker 5: but I'm saying it was Yeah, it's you know, Cowboys stadium. Yeah, sure.
- 44:37Speaker 5: What so as soon as we if you got to
- 44:40Speaker 5: the second round of the playoffs and at least are
- 44:43Speaker 5: like at the time we were the biggest, it was
- 44:45Speaker 5: like we were big school five A, that was the
- 44:47Speaker 5: biggest in Texas. Like you played at Texas Stadium second
- 44:51Speaker 5: round on until state champion. Well we never got there.
- 44:55Speaker 4: How do you know about that? Did you forgive your ciner?
- 45:00Speaker 10: Oh?
- 45:00Speaker 4: Yeah, for sure, how long did it take?
- 45:02Speaker 5: Hey, Brett Helmes did it first series of the National
- 45:05Speaker 5: Championship Game. Same thing. I think I'm super fast. It
- 45:10Speaker 5: scooped it up.
- 45:13Speaker 6: They're asking if this is your first media days. Yes,
- 45:16Speaker 6: he's never done radio.
- 45:17Speaker 5: Before and I didn't get invited as a player.
- 45:20Speaker 4: Yeah, he's done Uh's radio like once a week ish
- 45:25Speaker 4: for the last seven years, but very early in England,
- 45:31Speaker 4: early England.
- 45:32Speaker 5: Oh yeah, we looked at it.
- 45:32Speaker 4: And remember we were both at place. We were both
- 45:37Speaker 4: we were both at my wedding, like preparing for that.
- 45:40Speaker 4: We had the bachelor party weekend before we had the
- 45:42Speaker 4: wedding the next weekend. We were busy.
- 45:44Speaker 5: That's why I didn't go, is it. Yeah?
- 45:48Speaker 7: You get to see Greg Backleroy there?
- 45:50Speaker 2: Oh off the bench?
- 45:55Speaker 4: Is this where we draw a line in the sand?
- 45:59Speaker 4: I got cubes? You got mac fight for supremacy here?
- 46:02Speaker 5: Oh yeah, dude, that fight will be over and it
- 46:04Speaker 5: would be like that hockey fight. No, that the golf fight.
