- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey guys there, how you doing. I didn't know you
- 0:04Speaker 1: were in town. I'm so happy to see you in
- 0:06Speaker 1: your closet. Yeah, man, I'm out. It's hard, you know.
- 0:10Speaker 1: People were complaining about it. Good to see you, Joel.
- 0:13Speaker 1: People were complaining about it, good to see you Danel.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Could see Zach, people complaining about that we didn't put
- 0:18Speaker 1: a show up last week. Like if you look at
- 0:20Speaker 1: you know, they were everybody sometimes, you know, as as
- 0:23Speaker 1: I shared with you, I got a lot going on
- 0:26Speaker 1: in my life. Also, Donald Faison has got a lot
- 0:29Speaker 1: of work happening, and occasionally we miss a show. But
- 0:34Speaker 1: we love you so much and appreciate you so much,
- 0:38Speaker 1: and we want to remind you that we had no
- 0:41Speaker 1: idea there'd be this much interest in the two of
- 0:44Speaker 1: us slash the four of us, just rambling about old
- 0:48Speaker 1: times and nonsense. Tell me which character you want me
- 0:54Speaker 1: to play in this show, because I think I should
- 0:58Speaker 1: play him? All right? I saw listen to Webb Let's
- 1:01Speaker 1: get this showing now. I saw the interwebs. There was
- 1:04Speaker 1: some chatter Donald's playing X, Zach should play why? And
- 1:07Speaker 1: of course you know that I don't know who these
- 1:09Speaker 1: people are, right, Okay, So here's what it is. Everyone
- 1:14Speaker 1: believes that you should play Ted Chord. That's the original
- 1:18Speaker 1: Blue Beetle. Before Himie Rayes becomes the Blue Beetle, there
- 1:22Speaker 1: was the original Blue Beetle. Now, I don't know much
- 1:25Speaker 1: about Ted Chord, but like you know, I didn't know
- 1:30Speaker 1: much about Booster Gold until you know, I had to
- 1:33Speaker 1: do research. All right, well, I will play Ted Chord
- 1:37Speaker 1: if you're listening. When you're in charge of this, isn't
- 1:41Speaker 1: it a BERLANDI show? Yeah, man, so just tell them
- 1:44Speaker 1: I'll do it. Are you gonna be on more episodes
- 1:47Speaker 1: or is that just a cameo? Well? All right, so
- 1:49Speaker 1: here's how it's supposed to go. If the show goes,
- 1:52Speaker 1: I'm a regular on Legends that tomorrow next season. Wow,
- 1:57Speaker 1: oh my god, that's how it's posted. That's that's why
- 2:01Speaker 1: would the show not go. Isn't it an ongoing show?
- 2:03Speaker 1: It's been on for a while, you know, it's been
- 2:06Speaker 1: on four I think this was its seventh season. What's
- 2:09Speaker 1: crazy is that I was such a fan of the
- 2:11Speaker 1: show before it even still, like I've watched every season
- 2:15Speaker 1: of the show. I've been talking about Legends since we
- 2:17Speaker 1: started the podcast. I'm like, do you guys watch Legends,
- 2:20Speaker 1: and you guys will sometimes are like nope, and sometimes
- 2:23Speaker 1: you guys are nice and they're like, I've heard of it.
- 2:26Speaker 1: But you know, I'm just surprised that Joel doesn't because
- 2:29Speaker 1: you know, this is her jam. Yeah, listen, I really
- 2:33Speaker 1: enjoy what CW does. There's too many shows now to
- 2:36Speaker 1: keep in like up with all of them, but I
- 2:39Speaker 1: do like it. And I did see the Giant Teddy
- 2:41Speaker 1: Bear episode and it's a classic. It really hits. It's
- 2:46Speaker 1: it's well, you know, I'm a huge fan of the show,
- 2:49Speaker 1: and I really do like, you know, the Arrow verse.
- 2:52Speaker 1: I loved Arrow when it first came on. I loved
- 2:55Speaker 1: the Flash. I love Legends. I didn't necessarily watch Batgirl
- 3:00Speaker 1: and I didn't uh, And I didn't necessarily watch Black Lightning,
- 3:04Speaker 1: which is crazy because those are the ones with all
- 3:06Speaker 1: the black people on it. Lightning that is mystifying. You know.
- 3:12Speaker 1: I think maybe because I wanted to be Black Lightning
- 3:14Speaker 1: and I was hating on it. That's what it is.
- 3:19Speaker 1: You didn't made a great Black Lightning. Well you know
- 3:23Speaker 1: now I'm boost to Gold and so congratulations. I know
- 3:27Speaker 1: that it brought you a lot of happiness and I
- 3:28Speaker 1: saw a lot of people on the internet's very excited
- 3:31Speaker 1: about you playing golf. Yeah, well they are also good thing.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Good thing the character was called upon to play golf
- 3:39Speaker 1: because you're you're such a good player these days. Right,
- 3:42Speaker 1: they didn't really capture my swing. No, I'm gonna keep
- 3:44Speaker 1: it one hundred with ye. I'm a little upset about it. Oh,
- 3:46Speaker 1: you don't like the way you looked playing golf. No,
- 3:49Speaker 1: I like the way I looked playing golf. It's just
- 3:50Speaker 1: that you don't really see me playing goal. It's golf.
- 3:53Speaker 1: It's like a bunch of shots of the ball getting hit,
- 3:56Speaker 1: you know, never really a full swing. How's your tennis
- 3:58Speaker 1: game these days? Because you were you're back to tennis.
- 4:02Speaker 1: I watched playing tennis for a bit, and now I
- 4:05Speaker 1: am not playing tennis. Work has gotten in the way
- 4:07Speaker 1: of a lot of things. Well, that's a high class problem,
- 4:09Speaker 1: don Those are the type of problems I like to have.
- 4:11Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. Those are the type of
- 4:13Speaker 1: problems I like to have. Dude. Did you guys see
- 4:16Speaker 1: the Obi Wan trailer? Oh? Yeah, yeah, absolutely, Holy fuck, Yo,
- 4:23Speaker 1: I can't hit I still said, yo, No, it's really happening. Yo.
- 4:29Speaker 1: We have a black aqui. Yo. Oh my god, it
- 4:33Speaker 1: looks good. It looks row. Oh my god, god, do
- 4:38Speaker 1: you think Jimmy Smith is gonna show up? It's all
- 4:40Speaker 1: I can think. Oh man, I hope listen, I hope listen.
- 4:43Speaker 1: The way it looks, it looks like Maul could show
- 4:45Speaker 1: up at some point. This man, like so much could happen. Holy,
- 4:51Speaker 1: you're right on time. Oh my god. And it's all
- 4:57Speaker 1: directed by Deborah show The uh yeah, the the incredible
- 5:01Speaker 1: Debra Chow, who directed a lot of people's favorite Mandalorian
- 5:04Speaker 1: season one episodes. Yeah, and also Obi Wad looks like
- 5:08Speaker 1: it's gonna be my favorite series. He's so handsome. I'm sorry,
- 5:12Speaker 1: but like he's so No. I'm just saying I said
- 5:16Speaker 1: this before that he moves my Kinsey scale. But every
- 5:19Speaker 1: time he talks that gravelly voice and his face, he's fine.
- 5:24Speaker 1: He's fine. He's come a long away from train spotting.
- 5:30Speaker 1: I'm just saying. I'm just saying he's fine. I'm I'm
- 5:34Speaker 1: in how Florida you allow you're not allowed to say
- 5:36Speaker 1: gay anymore? Well, in La you can say a man.
- 5:38Speaker 1: It's fine, yes, no shame right, Daniel, Oh, most certainly
- 5:48Speaker 1: you have no idea how excited I got. Well, you do,
- 5:51Speaker 1: you kind of do? But that oh my god, Well
- 5:56Speaker 1: in my universe, I was cranking tick Tick Boom in
- 5:59Speaker 1: my car yesterday. I really love that soundtrack that Andrew Garfields.
- 6:05Speaker 1: He's so talented. You did watch it, right, Donald? Oh? Yes?
- 6:09Speaker 1: Do you listen to it in your car? Ever? I don't.
- 6:12Speaker 1: I recommend it. It's not my La La Land. You
- 6:14Speaker 1: know what I mean. It's not it's you know, Lala.
- 6:17Speaker 1: I liked the music from La La Land. Well, I
- 6:18Speaker 1: want to encourage you folks before the Oscars come to
- 6:21Speaker 1: watch tick Tick Boom, because I believe Andrew Garfield should
- 6:25Speaker 1: win for Best Actor. Oh dude, he crushes it. That
- 6:29Speaker 1: that being said, right, okay, you want to talk about
- 6:33Speaker 1: killing it. So far from what I've seen, I think
- 6:36Speaker 1: he's done a great job. I haven't seen Denzel yet,
- 6:40Speaker 1: I haven't seen pretty much anyone else, but so far
- 6:45Speaker 1: from anything else. We all know the audience and us.
- 6:49Speaker 1: We all know that you don't really watch things that
- 6:51Speaker 1: aren't DC Marvel Star Wars that don't start with basketball. Well,
- 6:59Speaker 1: I do love Those are the categories. Those are the categories. Yes, um,
- 7:04Speaker 1: not necessarily in that order. But those are the categories.
- 7:07Speaker 1: And Myron Kerstein, who's edited all of my films thus
- 7:13Speaker 1: far until this new one, a good person. Um, he
- 7:16Speaker 1: is nominated for editing. Tichtick Blooming could very well win. Wow,
- 7:20Speaker 1: that's amazing, go get it. So m Even though they're
- 7:25Speaker 1: doing this weird thing with the everyone's fighting back is
- 7:27Speaker 1: they're they're trying to make the Oscars broadcast. Well really
- 7:30Speaker 1: have anyone watch it? Um? The ratings are so low,
- 7:34Speaker 1: and so they're trying to be trying all these new
- 7:36Speaker 1: techniques to shorten it and and and it always upsets
- 7:41Speaker 1: everyone under understandably because this year they're trying things like
- 7:45Speaker 1: they're going to give out the Editing Award, for example,
- 7:47Speaker 1: during a commercial break, and then show video of the
- 7:50Speaker 1: acceptance speech like during the show, which is really lame,
- 7:54Speaker 1: because I gotta tell you, an editor is is, and
- 8:00Speaker 1: a film is made with an editor and a director
- 8:02Speaker 1: sitting next to each other. The idea that of all categories.
- 8:07Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know, maybe this is controversial to
- 8:09Speaker 1: some people, you know, animated short, sorry Donald, regular short,
- 8:16Speaker 1: documentary short, maybe consider doing that to those, But editor, composer,
- 8:21Speaker 1: I just think it's such an insult to the positions
- 8:25Speaker 1: that are such crucial to filmmaking. That's my monologue. I agree.
- 8:31Speaker 1: I agree, especially because I think it's mostly like film
- 8:34Speaker 1: fanatics watching the show, so it seems like you're alienating
- 8:38Speaker 1: the one group of people determined to see it. Someone
- 8:43Speaker 1: had a great theory that the show should be more
- 8:46Speaker 1: like the super Bowl, where it's four hours long but
- 8:49Speaker 1: cut into three parts. So the first part is your documentary,
- 8:53Speaker 1: is your short, it's the stuff that only like the
- 8:54Speaker 1: super film buffs want to see. Then you have like
- 8:57Speaker 1: a super Bowl halftime show, it's like the Oscar halftime
- 9:00Speaker 1: where it's all the musical performance, full out, big stage,
- 9:02Speaker 1: maybe done it like the Hollywood Bowl. And then in
- 9:05Speaker 1: the final segment you're doing all the big categories. You're
- 9:07Speaker 1: writing your best actor, best director, And that way it's
- 9:09Speaker 1: appointment television. So if you only want to see the
- 9:11Speaker 1: big stuff at the end, you can tune in when
- 9:13Speaker 1: that's coming. If you only want to see the performances,
- 9:15Speaker 1: you can tune in there. But nobody's left out. It's
- 9:17Speaker 1: a big event, and and it's sort of more of
- 9:21Speaker 1: a like appointment scheduled watch, like you're gonna want to
- 9:24Speaker 1: watch live that's that's clever. I mean I saw the
- 9:26Speaker 1: producer defending it and he's like, look, everybody, calm down.
- 9:29Speaker 1: This is this is an entertainment property that every year
- 9:32Speaker 1: less and less people watch. So we're trying to figure
- 9:35Speaker 1: out a way to change that trajectory. And I understand that.
- 9:39Speaker 1: But if you're a film geek like we all are,
- 9:42Speaker 1: and you want to I love it. Donald and Casey
- 9:45Speaker 1: come over. We have a fake Oscar. It's called the Braffy,
- 9:50Speaker 1: and we have we and other friends too, and we
- 9:55Speaker 1: and we and we fill out our forms. Donald is
- 9:59Speaker 1: totally guessing because he hasn't seen any of them. The
- 10:01Speaker 1: case he won one year, and if you win, you
- 10:03Speaker 1: get to keep the Braffy for for a whole year.
- 10:06Speaker 1: You got to give a speech to Casey's give a
- 10:08Speaker 1: speech cases one twice and you give a speech. You
- 10:13Speaker 1: give a speech at the end of the Oscar is
- 10:15Speaker 1: usually intoxicated about how you're better than everybody else. Well,
- 10:19Speaker 1: you know, the Oscars fucked up this year. That's pretty
- 10:22Speaker 1: much what happened. They should have nominated Spider Man. Well,
- 10:26Speaker 1: that'll win for They added a category for a fan favorite,
- 10:29Speaker 1: which I'm sure Spider Man will take right. That's what
- 10:32Speaker 1: well they should have They should have done that from
- 10:34Speaker 1: the gate and they would have had a lot of
- 10:36Speaker 1: people tune in. Um. I want to talk about something, guys.
- 10:40Speaker 1: This is the premiere of Cheaper by the Dozen this week. Yes,
- 10:44Speaker 1: and I'm so excited that all three of you were coming.
- 10:47Speaker 1: We got to get a picture on the red carpet together.
- 10:50Speaker 1: It'll be our first time the four of us on
- 10:52Speaker 1: our red carpet together. Very very interesting. I love the
- 10:56Speaker 1: optimism of first time they'll be I'm really excited. Um. Uh,
- 11:02Speaker 1: it's it's for those of you listening, and uh it's
- 11:04Speaker 1: it's this Friday, the eighteenth, So please check it out.
- 11:08Speaker 1: I promise you if you have kids, they are gonna
- 11:11Speaker 1: love it. And I promise you I've seen it. It's hilarious.
- 11:14Speaker 1: If you're an adults, you're gonna crack up. There's a
- 11:17Speaker 1: lot of obviously, if you're listening to this, you love scrubs,
- 11:20Speaker 1: and there's definitely some scrubs as humor in it, and
- 11:22Speaker 1: there's a lot of heart in it. And the kids
- 11:24Speaker 1: are wonderful actors, and Gabby Union is wonderful and I
- 11:27Speaker 1: just I know I'm selling it. But but please mark
- 11:30Speaker 1: it down. It's on Disney Plus March eighteenth, and and
- 11:33Speaker 1: I'm really proud of it, and you can You're gonna
- 11:36Speaker 1: you're gonna love it. I'm excited, man, it's gonna be excited.
- 11:39Speaker 1: I'm so stoked. And we're all going to the premiere together.
- 11:43Speaker 1: It's been a while since I've been to a premiere.
- 11:45Speaker 1: I know. I'm really glad you're coming, and you're bringing
- 11:47Speaker 1: your kids, which will be fun. You know, I don't
- 11:50Speaker 1: show up to things like this, man, you know how
- 11:53Speaker 1: I am, buddy. I only like to go to Star
- 11:55Speaker 1: Wars premieres. You know this is at the El Cappy Tan. Man,
- 11:59Speaker 1: this is no doubt. I like to go to them
- 12:01Speaker 1: Disney things. Man, Disney's they know how to hook it up.
- 12:04Speaker 1: I'm telling you. Whatever the carnival is, whatever the thing
- 12:07Speaker 1: is that they got planned for the kids, I'm so
- 12:09Speaker 1: excited for it. Oh. I can't wait. Oh, I can't wait.
- 12:12Speaker 1: I can't wait for the dude to come up on
- 12:14Speaker 1: stage and play the Indiana Jones themes they play. For
- 12:17Speaker 1: those of you've never been to the El Capittan, It's
- 12:19Speaker 1: Disney's Theater on Hollywood Boulevard, and they have an old
- 12:22Speaker 1: school organist that rises from the stage before the movie
- 12:28Speaker 1: and plays like themes from from classic movies. You know
- 12:32Speaker 1: which one When he plays Indiana Jones. It's the best
- 12:35Speaker 1: because he played I Ain't nothing like that on a
- 12:38Speaker 1: France giant organ and then he slowly lowers down into
- 12:43Speaker 1: the stage and the curtain opens. It's so cool, so epic,
- 12:47Speaker 1: And there's a little museum downstairs you see like different
- 12:50Speaker 1: costumes and art pieces for the movies. It's the best.
- 12:54Speaker 1: How long has that been there forever? The little museum downstairs? Yeah,
- 12:58Speaker 1: since I've been going, so like five years ago at least. Wow,
- 13:01Speaker 1: I haven't. I haven't been to the Captain in Ages,
- 13:04Speaker 1: So I'm still to go check that out. Well, I'm
- 13:05Speaker 1: really glad you're all coming coming to and and Elvis
- 13:10Speaker 1: is going to be wearing a three piece suit with
- 13:12Speaker 1: a bow tie. Oh my gosh, are we are we
- 13:16Speaker 1: all dressing up? We were getting wet? Dress up. I'm
- 13:20Speaker 1: dressing up. I'm dressing up. I want I have a fitting.
- 13:24Speaker 1: I have a fitting after this from my outfit listen,
- 13:28Speaker 1: like going to these things because you gotta get dressed
- 13:30Speaker 1: up and shit and look all sharp. That's a lot
- 13:32Speaker 1: of somebody. You have plenty of dope suits in that closet. Bine,
- 13:35Speaker 1: I got a pretty I got a lot of dope
- 13:37Speaker 1: sweatsuits up in this stop. Our very first thing for
- 13:42Speaker 1: Scrubs we went to We've told this story, I think,
- 13:45Speaker 1: but our very first event we showed up at. We
- 13:48Speaker 1: were all dressed in the nines and Donald was literally
- 13:50Speaker 1: like in a T shirt and had I had a sweater.
- 13:53Speaker 1: And remember one of the paparazzo guys was like, what's
- 13:56Speaker 1: a matter of Donald didn't get the memo? Shade Fuck
- 14:04Speaker 1: that dude, about that Fuck that dude? Still still all right,
- 14:09Speaker 1: let's get into it, Donald count of seven eight about
- 14:14Speaker 1: show we made about a bunch of dots and nurses
- 14:20Speaker 1: stories natural. So yeadoo around here, yeadoo around here. M
- 14:35Speaker 1: Elliot's in private practice. This is a this is an
- 14:38Speaker 1: homage to the to House. I guess House at this
- 14:41Speaker 1: point in in in in the mid uh what he
- 14:44Speaker 1: called aughts in the mid oughts must have been very
- 14:47Speaker 1: popular because it was time for us to spoof House. Yes,
- 14:51Speaker 1: I've never watched one episode. I've never seen a single
- 14:54Speaker 1: episode of House. I only know that he has a
- 14:56Speaker 1: cane and that he figures out mysteries and they do
- 15:00Speaker 1: flashbacks that have that look that we mocked in our
- 15:04Speaker 1: in our show. That's all I know about House, but
- 15:06Speaker 1: people loved it. Oh and he's mean and he's mean. Yeah,
- 15:10Speaker 1: and Olivia Wilde was once on that show. I know
- 15:14Speaker 1: that too. Okay, I don't know any that is the
- 15:16Speaker 1: extent of my House knowledge. I know they solved a mystery, right,
- 15:19Speaker 1: they solved a mystery of rip. And as I saw
- 15:21Speaker 1: on scrubs Wicky, I believe in the pilot episode they
- 15:24Speaker 1: solve a mystery of why a man is orange? Really? Oh,
- 15:29Speaker 1: little scrubs Wicky trivia for you. Wow. Um, all right,
- 15:33Speaker 1: so yeah is orange because of the same reason scrubs
- 15:38Speaker 1: Wicky didn't say. But scrubs Wicky said that they solve
- 15:42Speaker 1: an orange related mystery. Okay. John Punch directed this wonderful director.
- 15:48Speaker 1: We love John Punch. We do love John Punch. John
- 15:51Speaker 1: Puch was fast. That's why. See by the time we
- 15:53Speaker 1: got to season six, we were like, we liked them
- 15:55Speaker 1: when they were good and fast, and John Punch was
- 15:57Speaker 1: good and fast. What did you think of the episode
- 16:01Speaker 1: in a Hole? I had a few laugh moments. Um,
- 16:06Speaker 1: not one of my favorites, but I definitely laughed a
- 16:08Speaker 1: few times. Some funny physical comedy, very funny physical commentation. Um.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Let's open with Elliott has become a private practice doctor,
- 16:16Speaker 1: which means she's going to make more money, and we
- 16:20Speaker 1: cut to Turk. She's saying, does anyone everything they want
- 16:22Speaker 1: to say? And next to Turk is Johnny Oh, the
- 16:26Speaker 1: bearded fella. Is that was our props? Yes he was,
- 16:30Speaker 1: and he was a great guy. Is a great guy,
- 16:32Speaker 1: and he also was responsible for coming up for some
- 16:35Speaker 1: of those wacky ass props including NiFe French Knife French
- 16:40Speaker 1: and Um the business card maker, Slash paintball gun Um
- 16:46Speaker 1: that's featured in the episode, and also the at one point,
- 16:50Speaker 1: I remember in one of the episodes, there's a squirrel,
- 16:54Speaker 1: a taxi dermine squirrel that's also a pepper grinder, and
- 16:58Speaker 1: you you turn its head and grinds pemper, which probably
- 17:03Speaker 1: wouldn't be p very pc for two thy twenty two,
- 17:06Speaker 1: but he did make that prop an amazing crop. I
- 17:15Speaker 1: would love to have I would love to own the thought,
- 17:17Speaker 1: but I don't know where it is. Johnny Yo probably
- 17:20Speaker 1: has it somewhere. You're gonna get mail for that I don't, Well,
- 17:23Speaker 1: it was atty. It's already made. It's not like I'm
- 17:27Speaker 1: saying kill the squirrel. Um. I laughed. I did laugh
- 17:33Speaker 1: out loud. When JD goes to kiss kim and his
- 17:36Speaker 1: leg is up, yeah, I wrote that down. He's a
- 17:41Speaker 1: leg up kisser. Now is is Kimmy? She doesn't seem
- 17:45Speaker 1: that into JD? You know, I think she is into JD.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Let's put the situation under a microscope real quick. She's
- 17:54Speaker 1: definitely into JD. But she's also pregnant and she's got
- 17:57Speaker 1: the opportunity of a lifetime. I know. But bro, she's
- 18:01Speaker 1: pregnant with a guy, and she and I know she's
- 18:05Speaker 1: got a big work opportunity. I don't know it. Just
- 18:08Speaker 1: I watched the episode and I was like, does she
- 18:09Speaker 1: she into them him? I mean sometimes when they're kissing,
- 18:12Speaker 1: it seems like she is, and she laughs his jokes
- 18:14Speaker 1: and everything. But I'm like, gosh, if you've just caught
- 18:17Speaker 1: him pregnant and you were newly really into someone and
- 18:20Speaker 1: the pregnancy was like an oops, but you were going
- 18:22Speaker 1: to go for it, moving away is so drastic. I
- 18:25Speaker 1: know it's an opportunity, but for crucial pregnancy months and
- 18:32Speaker 1: JD can't have phone sex, we learned because he when
- 18:36Speaker 1: does he say about phone sex? He says he phone
- 18:39Speaker 1: sexes out of the question because I'm I'm a righty
- 18:42Speaker 1: when I talk on the phone, but I'm also right
- 18:45Speaker 1: when I teach Mini JD who Daddy? I don't know? Yes.
- 18:54Speaker 1: By the way, scrubs Wicki pointed out that j D
- 18:58Speaker 1: is a is a what do you call it in baseball?
- 18:59Speaker 1: When you can hit both ways? He's ambidextrous, No, Daniel,
- 19:03Speaker 1: what is it called? Ambidextrous is the worst? They're a
- 19:07Speaker 1: baseball term when you when you when you when you
- 19:09Speaker 1: can hit either way? A switch hitter? Why did Joel
- 19:13Speaker 1: and I know you guys don't nailed it. I want
- 19:16Speaker 1: you to know that. Scrubs Wiki points out that JD
- 19:18Speaker 1: is clearly a switch hitter because he has hurt his
- 19:23Speaker 1: left hand and yelled, oh my mean time hand, and
- 19:33Speaker 1: in this episode he's saying he's but I like it.
- 19:41Speaker 1: I prefer me time hand to the expression teach Mini JD,
- 19:46Speaker 1: who daddy is? It's so funny though. You see Bill
- 19:51Speaker 1: in two thousand and six trying to get these jokes
- 19:54Speaker 1: on NBC, and you know, you think of it. Now
- 19:57Speaker 1: we're all watched streaming and everything is, you know, relaxed
- 20:01Speaker 1: and different. But this were like this, This was very
- 20:05Speaker 1: progressive to get masturbation jokes on on on NBC in
- 20:09Speaker 1: two thousand and six. So Mozeltough Bill so Kelso's pissed
- 20:15Speaker 1: at Elliott's leaving. He gives quite a monologue about it. Yeah,
- 20:20Speaker 1: quite a monologue. He equates it the hospital putting all
- 20:26Speaker 1: that time in and her leaving to go to business,
- 20:30Speaker 1: to him paying a working gal so much money over
- 20:35Speaker 1: the years, and her leaving him at dinner before before
- 20:38Speaker 1: before before consummating the evening. But it's a very funny monologue.
- 20:44Speaker 1: I was going to write it down, but it was
- 20:46Speaker 1: too long and that I thought Scrubs. I thought Scrubs
- 20:48Speaker 1: Wicky might have it, but they didn't. Thanks a lot, Trevor, Trevor,
- 20:51Speaker 1: that needs to be added. I have a note for you,
- 20:53Speaker 1: Um that monologue is too special to not be added
- 20:56Speaker 1: to the Scrubs wiki dialogue section. Yes, very funny, ken
- 21:02Speaker 1: so funny. So you steal a baby by accident? Yes,
- 21:06Speaker 1: Now I don't understand why you keep the baby. It
- 21:08Speaker 1: just seems to me that the normal thing to do
- 21:11Speaker 1: would be to run and return the baby, but you
- 21:13Speaker 1: hold you close the door and hold on to the baby. Right,
- 21:16Speaker 1: But there are a lot of things that are fishy
- 21:18Speaker 1: with that moment, you know what I mean, there's something
- 21:21Speaker 1: fishy in Denmark. Why wasn't Leonard the security guard, the
- 21:25Speaker 1: one who's comes through and says, you don't think Leonard's
- 21:28Speaker 1: the only security guard in the hospital, He's just featured.
- 21:30Speaker 1: It would attract better. I'm just saying it would have
- 21:33Speaker 1: been funny. Maybe maybe Randall wasn't available, that the hook
- 21:37Speaker 1: was out being shined, but that was funny. And then
- 21:44Speaker 1: but I but my first reaction was like, if you
- 21:47Speaker 1: accidentally took the wrong baby, wouldn't you run it back,
- 21:51Speaker 1: closes the door. But I feel like there's jail time
- 21:58Speaker 1: and shit like that that could be in that he's
- 22:00Speaker 1: trying to avoid. You're a doctor. It's not like you
- 22:04Speaker 1: really were running out of the baby out of the
- 22:05Speaker 1: hospital with the What about when you say the ice
- 22:09Speaker 1: packs you've been putting on your hooie ye yeah yeah,
- 22:15Speaker 1: yeah yeah yeah. Now, if you don't live in the
- 22:18Speaker 1: United States, you might be like, think that's a joke,
- 22:20Speaker 1: but this is actually what they do in this country.
- 22:23Speaker 1: They up charge every single thing because if they assume
- 22:27Speaker 1: it's going to be covered by insurance, and so the
- 22:31Speaker 1: charges when you look at your bill, you just can't
- 22:34Speaker 1: fathom what they charged for, like to advil an ice pack,
- 22:39Speaker 1: because because it's just a mess with our our system
- 22:42Speaker 1: not to go down that road. But I just know
- 22:44Speaker 1: that people in other countries are like, probably don't understand
- 22:47Speaker 1: the joke. I know that, I know that Florence is
- 22:50Speaker 1: often so confused by the American health system and I
- 22:56Speaker 1: have to explain it to her. And so I'm just
- 22:57Speaker 1: as that as I laughed at that joke, I was like,
- 23:00Speaker 1: I bet you in other other countries, people are like,
- 23:01Speaker 1: what do you mean forty dollars for an ice pack? Yeah,
- 23:04Speaker 1: that's just that just sounds expensive in America. I don't
- 23:06Speaker 1: give a fuck where it is, dude, Like in other
- 23:10Speaker 1: and in other countries, do they not pay for ice packs?
- 23:13Speaker 1: Is that what you're telling I'm just saying they have
- 23:14Speaker 1: universal healthcare free in many many, many of our many
- 23:18Speaker 1: of our listeners countries have universal healthcare that giving birth
- 23:23Speaker 1: to a baby's free. Did you ever seen that viral
- 23:25Speaker 1: video of them? A guy walked around If you guys
- 23:27Speaker 1: search for this if you want. Guy walked around the
- 23:29Speaker 1: UK asking people how much how much it cost to
- 23:33Speaker 1: have a baby in the United States out of pocket
- 23:36Speaker 1: and their reactions are hilarious. Um, what do they like?
- 23:40Speaker 1: What did they say? Like? No, they just can't believe it.
- 23:44Speaker 1: I won't I won't do the video justice, but you
- 23:45Speaker 1: can google it and you'll laugh. There it is, um
- 23:48Speaker 1: all right, Um, so let's take a break and then okay,
- 24:03Speaker 1: and we're bad now. I always think it's weird when
- 24:08Speaker 1: you reference TV shows on TV shows. I brought this
- 24:10Speaker 1: up before and Cox is like, this isn't a TV show.
- 24:14Speaker 1: There aren't cameras all around and he's referencing House right.
- 24:18Speaker 1: I just I know that's like supposed to be meta,
- 24:20Speaker 1: but it's I don't know, it's a pet peeve of mine.
- 24:22Speaker 1: I'm not a fan of it. Yeah, Um, I don't.
- 24:26Speaker 1: I don't mind it on this because it's you know,
- 24:30Speaker 1: it's it's scrubs and a broad comedy. Yeah, and we've
- 24:34Speaker 1: and we've done shit like this. I would have hoped
- 24:36Speaker 1: we would have gone even further and it would have
- 24:38Speaker 1: pulled back when you would have saw Rich and them
- 24:41Speaker 1: sitting on the camera filming the whole thing, you know
- 24:44Speaker 1: what I mean. If you're gonna do it, do it.
- 24:45Speaker 1: Then you pull back and see a cameraman and then
- 24:48Speaker 1: make a joke about like, oh, they're filming a documentary
- 24:50Speaker 1: about getting birth over there or something right right right.
- 24:53Speaker 1: That's like when we did that joke with the tailor,
- 24:58Speaker 1: Erica thinks it's the last time it's Americo and you
- 25:04Speaker 1: know they look great, right right. That's it was hilarious.
- 25:09Speaker 1: Um I I laughed out loud when the baby throw
- 25:13Speaker 1: throws you a peace sign. That was very funny. That
- 25:16Speaker 1: was Yeah. Effect is pretty good and not bad, not
- 25:19Speaker 1: bad effects. Listen, the visual effects on this show were
- 25:22Speaker 1: always pretty bad. Um, but I gotta say not too
- 25:25Speaker 1: shabby for two thousand and six budget. Yeah. The stories told,
- 25:30Speaker 1: well you get exactly what's happening, but it's so cute.
- 25:33Speaker 1: It gives you a little peace sign. Yeah, um, Ted
- 25:42Speaker 1: getting hit with the Ted getting hit with the paintball
- 25:44Speaker 1: cracking me up. So funny. Oh I've been hit and
- 25:49Speaker 1: been him fallen. Um So Kelso and the janitor's whole
- 25:53Speaker 1: stick with the paint gun I thought was pretty funny. Yeah.
- 25:56Speaker 1: So j D buys um Kim a star are, and
- 26:01Speaker 1: he keeps trying to think of every single thing. This
- 26:04Speaker 1: happened to even my my first email address. I remember
- 26:06Speaker 1: trying to at AOL like right when email began, and
- 26:09Speaker 1: I remember trying to come up with something. Anything I
- 26:12Speaker 1: could think of related to my name or any combination
- 26:15Speaker 1: was taken. So I ended up with the wackiest thing,
- 26:18Speaker 1: which I still have today. But JD tries to buy
- 26:21Speaker 1: a star for Kim, and everything he can think of
- 26:24Speaker 1: his taken. So he comes up with frickle fart ninety
- 26:29Speaker 1: And it's because and it's because the right, it's because
- 26:33Speaker 1: of the freckle on her butt. What is the fart part?
- 26:37Speaker 1: But she's lactose intolerant and then and and she's what
- 26:41Speaker 1: is it? She's graduated and that and he's like and
- 26:48Speaker 1: he's like exactly, Um, Jad's lucky a lot, man, Do
- 26:56Speaker 1: you get he get his Does that? Does that even
- 26:59Speaker 1: sound right? JD's lucky a lot. JD's lucky a lot.
- 27:04Speaker 1: JD's I think we've said this before that j Jad
- 27:07Speaker 1: does well with the ladies. The forces snow, not with
- 27:09Speaker 1: just that. The force is strong with that man, like
- 27:13Speaker 1: you know, sure he gets his bumps and bruises and
- 27:15Speaker 1: stuff like that, but keeping one hundred, he he gets
- 27:20Speaker 1: out of a lot of messes. Yes, what about what
- 27:23Speaker 1: about when he's the whole stick with the car? I
- 27:25Speaker 1: thought was so funny. I've been running back, well the
- 27:30Speaker 1: whole I thought that that was really funny. When I
- 27:33Speaker 1: was sliding around the car and then the gas tank
- 27:35Speaker 1: opens and I'm like, and I'm trying to get into
- 27:37Speaker 1: a comfortable position, and then it starts pulling off that
- 27:40Speaker 1: ship was hilarious, Like, how could you leave that guy?
- 27:43Speaker 1: You know what I mean? How could you leave? That's
- 27:45Speaker 1: like the most endearing and the cutest thing ever. And
- 27:48Speaker 1: then the motherfucker running back, sprinting back. For those of
- 27:53Speaker 1: you like weird trivia, when that car is pulling down
- 27:55Speaker 1: the barking lot, all that you'll see a whole bunch
- 27:58Speaker 1: of crap. That's that's wraps next to the building. That's
- 28:02Speaker 1: all pieces of set and like it's all like set
- 28:09Speaker 1: walls and like and and no one like park a
- 28:13Speaker 1: bus in front of it, guys or an ambulance. No
- 28:15Speaker 1: one took the time. But you'll you'll what you see
- 28:19Speaker 1: in the deep background is what looks like a bunch
- 28:21Speaker 1: of garbage strapped to a wall, is set walls, the
- 28:26Speaker 1: paint falling on coxes. Wait, you're skipping the mural, which
- 28:30Speaker 1: is the which is the most glorious mural I've ever
- 28:32Speaker 1: seen in my life? How much we do you love
- 28:34Speaker 1: to have a copy of that mural? I don't know
- 28:37Speaker 1: about what your head cut off? I don't know about that.
- 28:39Speaker 1: I don't know. I would I would love to have
- 28:41Speaker 1: a small painting of that gneral And here comes a
- 28:45Speaker 1: flood of paintings just for you. Yes, please, guys, Well, yeah,
- 28:51Speaker 1: I'm not I'm okay with my head cut off. Maybe
- 28:53Speaker 1: make my eyes open so I don't look that bad.
- 28:55Speaker 1: But if you, if you're if you do want to
- 28:57Speaker 1: gift we that painting on Instagram. By the way, I
- 29:01Speaker 1: think I remember that the gentleman or lady who painted
- 29:05Speaker 1: that mural. We were all so blown away by how
- 29:08Speaker 1: amazing was in the spirit of a romance novel cover.
- 29:11Speaker 1: I commissioned them to do a Christmas gift for Bill
- 29:15Speaker 1: and Christa with Bill. Do you remember this? It was?
- 29:20Speaker 1: It was like poster size painting of like a romance
- 29:23Speaker 1: cover with Bill being super ripped and Christa, you know,
- 29:28Speaker 1: with cleavage and all sex he like draped on him
- 29:30Speaker 1: like a like a like in the classic romance novel.
- 29:33Speaker 1: And it was amazing, and I knew the second I
- 29:35Speaker 1: gave it to them, they were like, thank you. What
- 29:39Speaker 1: are we going to do with this? Like I was
- 29:42Speaker 1: so excited, and I of course it wasn't cheap, I
- 29:44Speaker 1: like commissioned up fucking painting. And then the second their
- 29:48Speaker 1: reaction to it was like, ha, ha, that's never going
- 29:52Speaker 1: anywhere like on our wall or I mean I never
- 29:56Speaker 1: saw it again. I should ask Christa where it is.
- 29:59Speaker 1: I don't need I don't it needs to be like
- 30:01Speaker 1: I think. You know, obviously they're a very fancy home,
- 30:03Speaker 1: but I thought it could be like a funny thing
- 30:04Speaker 1: in his office. No, that thing was never ever ever hung.
- 30:11Speaker 1: You know, when you think you've the best idea for
- 30:13Speaker 1: a gift for some money, you're so excited and you're
- 30:16Speaker 1: so excited and you think about it and then you
- 30:18Speaker 1: even like take the time to wrap it well because
- 30:20Speaker 1: you're like this, and then they give it to them
- 30:22Speaker 1: and they're like, great, I go out on my way
- 30:27Speaker 1: to be a good gift receiver. I think some people
- 30:29Speaker 1: are really bad gift receivers. Listen, this is you're one
- 30:34Speaker 1: of them. This is fuck you, dude. You remember when
- 30:37Speaker 1: I went all out to give you those people on
- 30:39Speaker 1: the podcast heard it. I gave you all those those
- 30:42Speaker 1: those special yeah, and you were like, I have these
- 30:46Speaker 1: so mean. I was joking, though, I know my feelings
- 30:48Speaker 1: are still hurt. My kids are like that man, you
- 30:53Speaker 1: on Christmas Day, you know, my wife wraps the gifts
- 30:57Speaker 1: and they're looking so good, and they opened the gifts
- 31:00Speaker 1: and within seconds of opening it, they're on to the
- 31:02Speaker 1: next gift. Man, So I would have trouble with that.
- 31:06Speaker 1: I know a lot of our listeners have children that
- 31:09Speaker 1: open their gifts and aren't grateful, and I know kids
- 31:12Speaker 1: need to be learned that skill. I know their children.
- 31:15Speaker 1: I'm just saying that would be hard for me. Yeah.
- 31:18Speaker 1: I used to send all my knees and nephew's big
- 31:20Speaker 1: ass checks for holidays and birthdays and I would never
- 31:24Speaker 1: hear anything. So I started creeping the number down. Love.
- 31:30Speaker 1: It was like, if you're gonna if you're not gonna
- 31:34Speaker 1: call or write a letter, that numbers coming down right exactly,
- 31:38Speaker 1: exactly exactly. That's the best thing. That's the new thing. Look,
- 31:44Speaker 1: you gotta teach your Let me tell you. Sorry, interrupt you, Donald,
- 31:46Speaker 1: but please, if you're listening, you've got to teach your
- 31:49Speaker 1: children to to to to express gratitude to to someone
- 31:54Speaker 1: who gives them a present. Obviously, classy is write a letter,
- 31:59Speaker 1: write a thank you note. But if that's not going
- 32:00Speaker 1: to have them happen, have them call. When I give
- 32:03Speaker 1: someone's kid a present. And I'm not talking about little children, obviously,
- 32:08Speaker 1: the parents like thank you so much. Right, I'm talking
- 32:10Speaker 1: about a kid who can write a thank you note,
- 32:12Speaker 1: a kid who can call you and be like, thanks, uncle, Zach.
- 32:19Speaker 1: My daughter writes stories about you. But your daughter is Casey,
- 32:23Speaker 1: not you. You got not doing it. Casey has clearly
- 32:26Speaker 1: taught your your child how to be a very good
- 32:28Speaker 1: gift receiver. Mark my assistants children, Oh my goodness, they
- 32:33Speaker 1: make me these paintings. They go all out stickers. You
- 32:39Speaker 1: know what, Zach, you can kiss my ass man for
- 32:43Speaker 1: you can kiss me. You're the one who's speaking a
- 32:46Speaker 1: wilder about doing a beautiful piece of artwork. Is a
- 32:48Speaker 1: thank you? Not for me, It's it's it's you, Casey Wilder. Wilder,
- 32:57Speaker 1: hold on, let me just put this blunt out Wilder.
- 33:00Speaker 1: I want you to write, uncle, Zach and thank you
- 33:03Speaker 1: know all right? The janitor? Um. Oh wait, hold on,
- 33:12Speaker 1: I just got told something and it kind of hurt
- 33:16Speaker 1: my heart. But have you told have you been told
- 33:18Speaker 1: yet that something that you do in bed is a
- 33:21Speaker 1: pet peeve of somebody? Your wife told you after all
- 33:25Speaker 1: these years, she has a pet peeve, she said, She
- 33:28Speaker 1: said to me, Oh boy, she said to me today,
- 33:31Speaker 1: she said, baby, we were doing it and it was
- 33:34Speaker 1: great up until you did this long with your mouth
- 33:44Speaker 1: on this podcast. Oh my god, wait no, this was
- 33:49Speaker 1: why we were doing it. Like I was like, oh yeah, baby,
- 33:51Speaker 1: and like the spit with the drool was falling out
- 33:54Speaker 1: of my love sound like I'm Relaca are a trap? Dude? Yeah, don't.
- 34:12Speaker 1: I don't think any any any woman or man would
- 34:14Speaker 1: like a loud slurp in their face. Dude it you know, listen,
- 34:17Speaker 1: I'm gonna keep it one hundred with you. Keep it
- 34:19Speaker 1: with one hundred. You just did. I think I think
- 34:22Speaker 1: you kept it one. You're not cutting this, by the way,
- 34:26Speaker 1: there's no fucking way you're cutting. I'm gonna keep it
- 34:29Speaker 1: one hundred with y'all. Um. I didn't know I was
- 34:32Speaker 1: doing it like so one time when when I was
- 34:35Speaker 1: doing He's drool on her face due one time. So
- 34:40Speaker 1: when I was doing Remember the Titans, I remember, everybody
- 34:42Speaker 1: was like, yo, what Harris does a great impersonation of you?
- 34:46Speaker 1: And I was like what. They were like, yeah, what
- 34:48Speaker 1: Harris does a great impersonation of you? And I thought
- 34:50Speaker 1: it Wood was gonna be like capture my essence, like
- 34:53Speaker 1: my voice and all of that stuff. All the fucker
- 34:56Speaker 1: kept doing was going like this, hey guys, it's me Donald.
- 34:59Speaker 1: What's going on everybody? And sucking on a spit And
- 35:02Speaker 1: so I didn't know I did that. And so when
- 35:05Speaker 1: my wife said that I did it in bed, it
- 35:08Speaker 1: just like you're gonna now you're gonna be all in
- 35:10Speaker 1: your head next time you have I don't know if
- 35:12Speaker 1: I can have sex anymore. Now just hold your breath
- 35:15Speaker 1: full time. Maybe that's a long time, or what about
- 35:21Speaker 1: getting a snorkel? That's slurping too. Though I didn't realize
- 35:27Speaker 1: I did it. I'm a slurper. She loves you, you
- 35:30Speaker 1: know what, it's you know, what's a testament to Casey?
- 35:34Speaker 1: That that and here's advice for you out there from
- 35:36Speaker 1: a fake doctor. She was open with you and she
- 35:39Speaker 1: shared she could have held it in and been like,
- 35:41Speaker 1: oh my god, this motherfucker and his slurping. But she
- 35:44Speaker 1: told you you have to share with your partner, and
- 35:49Speaker 1: now I must and now I must be conscious of it.
- 35:53Speaker 1: And yeah, now you can improve your sales. I can
- 35:56Speaker 1: improve my I can improve my skills. There's maybe there's
- 35:59Speaker 1: something you can just I just leveled up. Maybe you
- 36:02Speaker 1: could do something right before the act, like she's getting
- 36:04Speaker 1: ready and she's getting sexually, like hold on, baby, and
- 36:06Speaker 1: then you run and like get some bread or something
- 36:10Speaker 1: that would soak up. I have some bread in the nights,
- 36:18Speaker 1: on the on on on on on the on, the
- 36:22Speaker 1: on the on the good side of things, yes, you know,
- 36:27Speaker 1: my wife still makes me my mouth water. So there's that.
- 36:33Speaker 1: There is that you're you're perfectly matched. I'm so happy.
- 36:36Speaker 1: There's so many people who aren't perfectly matched, and and
- 36:39Speaker 1: your wife most certainly are. The janitor is also a pediatrist,
- 36:50Speaker 1: and um, he's a bunch of things. Now he's a
- 36:53Speaker 1: bunch of things. I laughed when he says to Celts
- 36:56Speaker 1: to uh, Cox, I also buy and sell feet, So
- 36:59Speaker 1: I the way you want to go, I got you covered.
- 37:05Speaker 1: So now that that story wise gives Cox a cane
- 37:09Speaker 1: like house because the paint falls on his foot. Right,
- 37:14Speaker 1: Let's let's get metaphorically into this JD getting shot in
- 37:17Speaker 1: the heart at the end when she decides to leave.
- 37:21Speaker 1: It was great. You know, I was wondering, what, what's
- 37:24Speaker 1: the point of this paintball? You know, Yeah, him missing
- 37:28Speaker 1: throughout the show and try to tune it in and
- 37:31Speaker 1: then he nails it at the right point when he's
- 37:34Speaker 1: when Jad's heartbroken. This um this broken heart Synder. I mean,
- 37:38Speaker 1: I can't believe that's a real thing. We all feel
- 37:42Speaker 1: broken hearted when when when horrible things happened. But the
- 37:45Speaker 1: fact that that this woman lost her husband and it
- 37:51Speaker 1: was it was quite literally physically affecting her heart. I
- 37:56Speaker 1: did not know that that was a thing, and it
- 37:58Speaker 1: obviously must be, or it wouldn't be in the show. Well,
- 38:00Speaker 1: we can manifest so many things in life, you know
- 38:02Speaker 1: what I mean. We talk about the white board, We
- 38:04Speaker 1: talk about so many things that we can manifest in
- 38:07Speaker 1: a positive way. You know, who's to say we can't
- 38:10Speaker 1: manifest horrible things? Who's we can't put those things out there? Well,
- 38:15Speaker 1: I'm saying, I'm just saying I never knew that the
- 38:18Speaker 1: heartbreak in some people could truly manifest a physical heart problem.
- 38:24Speaker 1: That that that's very interesting. Yeah. Um, this box of
- 38:28Speaker 1: Kitten's Gift, I think is one of the most It
- 38:31Speaker 1: makes a lot way before we mave one. It makes
- 38:33Speaker 1: a lot of sense in Revenge of the Sith when
- 38:36Speaker 1: pad May dies of a broken heart. You know, oh, Joel,
- 38:42Speaker 1: you're not here, You're not feeling that. You're not feeling that.
- 38:45Speaker 1: She's literally a warrior queen by the age of fifteen,
- 38:48Speaker 1: and then she dies of a broken heart and a well,
- 38:51Speaker 1: the dude force choked her. If force choking is what
- 38:54Speaker 1: killed her that they specifically say, there's nothing wrong with her,
- 38:58Speaker 1: She's dying of unbroken all right. I don't know then.
- 39:01Speaker 1: I don't know how you could like, you know, uh,
- 39:04Speaker 1: the last Jedi then if that's the case, because there's
- 39:08Speaker 1: a lot of flaws in that too, nobody dies fire, No, No,
- 39:14Speaker 1: that world sacrifices herself in one of the most beautiful
- 39:17Speaker 1: displays of humanity we've seen in Star Wars. It's amazing. Stop.
- 39:23Speaker 1: You mean the character that nobody's ever heard of before
- 39:26Speaker 1: she was in two books. We can't have this conversation again, damn,
- 39:30Speaker 1: can you? I don't have a snore sound effect. Can
- 39:32Speaker 1: you come right here? Obi Wan got everybody hype Zach,
- 39:39Speaker 1: obi Wan got everybody hype? Man like that shit is fine?
- 39:42Speaker 1: That should look fire. This box of kittens gift is
- 39:47Speaker 1: probably one of the most common scrubs gifts I've ever seen.
- 39:53Speaker 1: If you're looking for a gift to to express changing
- 39:59Speaker 1: some one's mood around, I highly recommend the box of
- 40:03Speaker 1: kittens being poured onto a man scrubs gift. I see
- 40:07Speaker 1: it all the time, don't you, Donald, I don't. The
- 40:11Speaker 1: one I see all the time is the one of
- 40:13Speaker 1: us hugging each other and rubbing each other's uh yes,
- 40:16Speaker 1: cheeks and faces. Yeah. I also love the one of
- 40:20Speaker 1: us running to each other when when you were away
- 40:22Speaker 1: on your honeymoon and then I leaned back. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 40:26Speaker 1: do the lift, do the lift. Yeah. I see those
- 40:30Speaker 1: two a lot um. By the way, they're coming out
- 40:33Speaker 1: with a sixty second tea mobile ade for me and Donald.
- 40:36Speaker 1: I saw. It's very funny, nice, very funny. Get a
- 40:42Speaker 1: little bit, you get a little more Donald dancing, which
- 40:44Speaker 1: everybody loves, and uh, it's pretty hilarious when when you
- 40:48Speaker 1: do that move with that when you do that move
- 40:49Speaker 1: with the with your hand across your face a lot
- 40:52Speaker 1: high hilarious. You know, I was getting worried because I
- 40:55Speaker 1: hadn't been seeing this commercial air anywhere. And then I
- 40:58Speaker 1: was watching basketball and it aired like four times during
- 41:02Speaker 1: like the Warriors game. Oh good, which was really good
- 41:05Speaker 1: because Rocco's a huge Warriors fan. Oh. I took Rocco
- 41:08Speaker 1: to a game. Oh man, I took Rocco to see
- 41:11Speaker 1: the Lakers Warriors game. And this dude is cheering for
- 41:15Speaker 1: the Warriors in freaking what is it the crypto dot
- 41:19Speaker 1: com Arina, Oh my god, what's it called now? Crypto
- 41:24Speaker 1: dot Com, the Crypto dot Com Arena or the crypt
- 41:27Speaker 1: for short. Oh my god, um, sweet, were you embarrassed, Arnold? No,
- 41:31Speaker 1: not at all. I'm proud of the kid. He's very
- 41:33Speaker 1: brave man to step on freaking the lad you know,
- 41:37Speaker 1: to step into you know, Laker territory and cheer like
- 41:41Speaker 1: that for the Warriors. But then the Warriors lost, and
- 41:44Speaker 1: it was really funny to watch all of these grown
- 41:46Speaker 1: people look back at him like your little jack. Oh dude,
- 41:52Speaker 1: he held his tears back and everything. I was so
- 41:54Speaker 1: proud of him. He took it like a he took
- 41:56Speaker 1: it like a champ man. You know, a lot of
- 41:59Speaker 1: basketball has been happening for Rocco lately, and he's he's
- 42:02Speaker 1: excelling at it. He's really really excelling at it um
- 42:06Speaker 1: and literally made your mini me. Well, no, I didn't
- 42:09Speaker 1: make my mini me. I didn't excel at basketball like this,
- 42:12Speaker 1: like when you created a minime. He likes Star Wars
- 42:16Speaker 1: and basketball. He hates Star Wars now, oh really, Star
- 42:19Speaker 1: Wars is out the window. Oh what about Marvel? No,
- 42:24Speaker 1: he doesn't like Marvel. He likes his basketball like Zelda.
- 42:27Speaker 1: Oh hell yeah, okay, you know, and he likes to
- 42:31Speaker 1: read and he's reading Harry Potter books right now. Like
- 42:34Speaker 1: that's what that's what he's into. Oh I would have
- 42:36Speaker 1: thought you would have made him a Star Wars freak.
- 42:38Speaker 1: I tried it. Tried my best flute close to the sun. Yeah, man,
- 42:45Speaker 1: I tried with my daughter too. Didn't work. It didn't work,
- 42:47Speaker 1: all right. How about the rom com ending fantasy where
- 42:51Speaker 1: I run through the airport, uh to greet Kim at
- 42:56Speaker 1: the gate? You know what? It kind of reminded me
- 42:58Speaker 1: of what gardens? Yeah right away. Well, it's like it's
- 43:03Speaker 1: a bit of a trope. The and Friends, Right, didn't
- 43:06Speaker 1: Friends do this? I never watched Friends, but I know,
- 43:08Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know Juell Daniel or where
- 43:11Speaker 1: you friends watching. At the end of season one, Rachel
- 43:15Speaker 1: runs to meet Ross before he gets on the plane,
- 43:18Speaker 1: but he has on headphones and he misses her. And
- 43:19Speaker 1: when he comes back and the premier season two he
- 43:22Speaker 1: has a girlfriend. Okay, there, I knew that there was
- 43:25Speaker 1: a Friends. But you know it is a classic movie trope,
- 43:28Speaker 1: the running to the gate, which you can't even do anymore.
- 43:31Speaker 1: Can't even do it anymore. Yeah, you used to be
- 43:34Speaker 1: able to. For those of you who are young, you
- 43:36Speaker 1: could actually walk some someone to the gate and say
- 43:39Speaker 1: goodbye to them. There them days is over. But then
- 43:43Speaker 1: then security needed to be heightened. And uh, and you
- 43:46Speaker 1: obviously have to stop at security. But back in the day,
- 43:49Speaker 1: you could walk some under the gate. Yeah, no more
- 43:52Speaker 1: and greet them at the gate. You could come out
- 43:53Speaker 1: of the gate and your family would be standing there.
- 43:55Speaker 1: They were right there. Nice. Now you gotta wait for baggage. Clean. Now,
- 44:03Speaker 1: let's get that shirt off. Oh my god, that was
- 44:05Speaker 1: so funny. They are so funny how she would just
- 44:12Speaker 1: go with any fucking joke, remember her in forty year
- 44:15Speaker 1: old version. Yes, yes, she's so game and funny. Then
- 44:21Speaker 1: let's get that shirt off. There they are, and then
- 44:25Speaker 1: and then we cut out of the fantasy and she goes.
- 44:29Speaker 1: So then everyone watches us do it and claps after Yeah,
- 44:33Speaker 1: I go and I go d and so in Jad's fantasy,
- 44:40Speaker 1: we have full sex there at the gate and everyone watches, yes,
- 44:45Speaker 1: and then applauds yeah, no, yes, yes, once we're finished, yes,
- 44:50Speaker 1: right after slow clap, slow clap. I wouldn't want to
- 44:59Speaker 1: slow clap if I if I did that, I'd want
- 45:01Speaker 1: thunderous applause right away. I wouldn't want us. I think
- 45:07Speaker 1: a slope. If you banged your partner in front of
- 45:11Speaker 1: a group of people outside the gate, and they're so moving,
- 45:16Speaker 1: and they are so you're saying, you're saying, they are
- 45:19Speaker 1: so moved by the act. That's what the slow clap,
- 45:22Speaker 1: the slow clap is you didn't have. They were like,
- 45:24Speaker 1: I can't believe they're fucking in front of us right now,
- 45:27Speaker 1: I can't believe they're doing this, this is happening. But
- 45:30Speaker 1: somewhere in there you win them over. No, that's not
- 45:34Speaker 1: what I would want. I would want us. I would
- 45:37Speaker 1: want us both to climax at the same time. And
- 45:39Speaker 1: everyone just breaks out and just a huge applause and cheer,
- 45:44Speaker 1: and you're just thrilled. Okay, all right, everybody where. It's
- 45:49Speaker 1: a quick break, and we're back with a guest. Right back,
- 45:57Speaker 1: and we're back, you know what I mean? We back
- 46:00Speaker 1: and we have a guest. Let's see who is a song?
- 46:02Speaker 1: That song? Joelle? What gift in human form have you
- 46:06Speaker 1: brought us today? We got all we can talk, you know,
- 46:13Speaker 1: like a booke, maybe talking about the episode. So come on, Joelle,
- 46:21Speaker 1: let's get hey for Gracie. Hey, Hi, Gracie. Don't be nervous.
- 46:33Speaker 1: Donald's still going don't be nervous. That's Donald's still saying
- 46:36Speaker 1: your name and the legendary Joel Monique and uh and
- 46:40Speaker 1: Daniel Daniel Daniel Goodman, DJ Daniel Goodman and Gracie. You're
- 46:45Speaker 1: wearing a Nirvana sweatshirt, so you had me at hello.
- 46:49Speaker 1: Here we are now? Um Uh. Joelle tells us you
- 46:54Speaker 1: have a great question. Uh, what is it? What's your
- 46:57Speaker 1: question for us? My question is if you were wrestlers,
- 47:02Speaker 1: what would your entrance theme songs be? Oh my god, Donald,
- 47:07Speaker 1: it's gonna be done done. Do you know I've told
- 47:15Speaker 1: you this story, um, Gracie, and the first on the podcast,
- 47:19Speaker 1: I believe, but um at my bar mitzvah when I entered,
- 47:23Speaker 1: um my favorite story the time. It's so incredibly embarrassing,
- 47:28Speaker 1: but I not even know what's happening. But um, because
- 47:31Speaker 1: I was thirteen and confused, and they just said, walked
- 47:34Speaker 1: through those doors. And I walked through the doors and
- 47:36Speaker 1: a spotlight hit me, and they and they played that spotlight.
- 47:42Speaker 1: When that spotlight hit you, you knew exactly what to do, though,
- 47:45Speaker 1: didn't you. I knew the strut in my tails. That's right,
- 47:49Speaker 1: you were like, all of a sudden, the assignment was
- 47:52Speaker 1: understood that. Oh yes, let me tell you something. If
- 47:56Speaker 1: you've been to theater camp and you're wearing tails and
- 47:59Speaker 1: a spotlight hits you and they crank, Let's hear him
- 48:01Speaker 1: for the boys? You know this drip, So, Gracie, that's
- 48:07Speaker 1: a very good question. Mine would definitely be let's hear
- 48:10Speaker 1: it for the boy And my character would be a
- 48:13Speaker 1: musical theater star turned wrestler. Oh that would be so dope,
- 48:17Speaker 1: all right, Donald, what would yours being? Well, it would
- 48:19Speaker 1: definitely be freaking some type of Imperial March themed which
- 48:23Speaker 1: one there's so many you love? Well, you know, you
- 48:26Speaker 1: know the original one would be like dune Dune, dut Dune,
- 48:30Speaker 1: done dut dune, dune dun dun us. I know it's not,
- 48:35Speaker 1: but that would have been like before the Imperial March,
- 48:37Speaker 1: but then after the Imperial March it's done du du
- 48:44Speaker 1: that it would be so hard to to come out
- 48:46Speaker 1: with that thing on the and have a mask on
- 48:49Speaker 1: over your face and freaking and not take the mask off,
- 48:53Speaker 1: just freaking get up on that in that ring and
- 48:55Speaker 1: beat somebody's ass and then walk out to freaking the
- 48:58Speaker 1: Imperial March too. Bah bah bah. It would cost so
- 49:01Speaker 1: much money though, that's the only problem. Well, I bet
- 49:03Speaker 1: there could be a tie in with um with with
- 49:07Speaker 1: with with with, But then I can't lose. Then I
- 49:09Speaker 1: can't lose. Yeah, all right, I can't lose. That's that's
- 49:14Speaker 1: your answer wrestlings, real, Daniel, you're a wrestling fan, Gracie, No,
- 49:19Speaker 1: I'm not. I just it's just the question I like
- 49:23Speaker 1: to ask people when I think it's clever. I'm confused. Um,
- 49:28Speaker 1: when I watch wrestling, I know that adults know that
- 49:32Speaker 1: it's staged. But when I see how impassioned they get,
- 49:37Speaker 1: and I get it, it's rooting for a character and
- 49:39Speaker 1: it's it's it's like theater. It's but but it is.
- 49:42Speaker 1: It is trippy sometimes when you see how how aggressive
- 49:46Speaker 1: and angry um grown men get. Do you give anybody alcohol?
- 49:52Speaker 1: What's that? You give anybody alcohol? And then they just
- 49:55Speaker 1: get hammered and they're gonna get crazy. So they just say,
- 50:00Speaker 1: a sport event, you know what I mean? And and
- 50:02Speaker 1: it has sport and a lot of sport in it too.
- 50:05Speaker 1: You know, there's just I mean, how do you not
- 50:07Speaker 1: get charged when you go see that sommer? They're obviously
- 50:13Speaker 1: watching great athleticism and they know, even though they know
- 50:17Speaker 1: it's a set storyline, they they're involved in the show,
- 50:20Speaker 1: in the playofkay. I get that makes sense? Yeah, thank you.
- 50:22Speaker 1: Guys just explained it to me. And I know you
- 50:25Speaker 1: guys are busy, but just really really quick. Yeah. I
- 50:27Speaker 1: just want to let you know that I've met the
- 50:31Speaker 1: most amazing group of friends that we call each other
- 50:34Speaker 1: family now through this podcast. There's sixteen of us. They're
- 50:38Speaker 1: sixteen of us from all over the world. We have
- 50:41Speaker 1: a discord that Daniel's actually a part of the SDR discord.
- 50:46Speaker 1: Oh okay, how do people join your group or do
- 50:49Speaker 1: you not want them to? Um? No, we have we
- 50:53Speaker 1: have a public one and then we have like our
- 50:55Speaker 1: family one of god, it's just us. Okay, But on Discord,
- 51:00Speaker 1: if they just search for FDRF podcast, they should be.
- 51:04Speaker 1: If you're on Discord, f DRF podcast and you can
- 51:07Speaker 1: be a part of the discord. But yeah, So we're
- 51:10Speaker 1: about to celebrate our year friend aniversary because we all
- 51:14Speaker 1: met after a live show and we've been talking to
- 51:16Speaker 1: each other and having zoom nights and a couple of
- 51:19Speaker 1: us met in person. Guys, but Joel's crying. U No,
- 51:28Speaker 1: that's sweet. Listen, Gracie, from the bottom of my heart.
- 51:31Speaker 1: All sincerity, bringing people together, that's that's that's all we
- 51:34Speaker 1: wanted to do. And uh and and this is so fun. Yeah,
- 51:38Speaker 1: and it keeps growing and growing and growing. You guys,
- 51:41Speaker 1: we can't believe we got it. We got another email
- 51:43Speaker 1: from will our overlord saying how how incredibly popular this
- 51:47Speaker 1: is globally and we just want to thank you from
- 51:49Speaker 1: the from the bottom of our hearts. Uh, Donal Donald
- 51:53Speaker 1: say something meaningful. You're smart and wise, and well, well
- 51:56Speaker 1: I'm not I'm not smart and I'm not wise. I've
- 51:59Speaker 1: been on this planet in a while and I didn't
- 52:01Speaker 1: I haven't picked up much. But I do know one thing.
- 52:05Speaker 1: For for fake doctors, real friends to be the way
- 52:08Speaker 1: it is right now, for people to be listening to
- 52:10Speaker 1: us like that and bringing people together is all we
- 52:15Speaker 1: really wanted to do in the first place. That's why
- 52:17Speaker 1: you get into show business, you know what I mean.
- 52:19Speaker 1: And so to hear that, to hear that there's a
- 52:22Speaker 1: group of people that, uh that that are fans of us,
- 52:27Speaker 1: and such good fans that they've even they've they've found
- 52:30Speaker 1: common ground, uh to talk, eat chat. Maybe we want
- 52:34Speaker 1: of y'all get married out of this whole situation. I
- 52:37Speaker 1: don't know. But if but if you do, if you do,
- 52:40Speaker 1: Donald Faison, not turk, Donald Donald, Okay, cool all. And
- 52:47Speaker 1: I just want to thank you, Gracie, and thanks everybody

- 53:06Speaker 1: excited to have my my fake doctor's real friends posse
