Mariners Acquire Ward for Offense | Baltimore Orioles News
The Mariners just pulled off a bold trade deadline move, acquiring outfielder Taylor Ward from the Orioles—days after shipping Luis Castillo to Chicago. Ward, AL leader in walks and a solid .246 hitter with 30 RBIs, could be the spark this struggling offense needs. With one of baseball’s worst batting averages, this is a clear statement: Seattle’s aiming to make noise down the stretch.
