- 0:26Speaker 1: It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh
- 0:31Speaker 1: with us inside the Treehouse. I'm Daniel Malley along with
- 0:35Speaker 1: Trey Trenholm and Raj Sharma on a Monday, November fourth,
- 0:41Speaker 1: twenty twenty four. Just a quick shameless plug on our part.
- 0:49Speaker 1: If you'd like even more Treehouse, you can do that
- 0:51Speaker 1: by going to treehouseonair dot com. And that includes special
- 0:58Speaker 1: shows that we do just just for you the subscriber
- 1:03Speaker 1: on Patreon. Sometimes I share really horrific things with Trey
- 1:08Speaker 1: and Raj that I think is going to be fun,
- 1:11Speaker 1: and then I regret, and that's what uh, that's what
- 1:16Speaker 1: we did earlier. But now that we're in the regular show,
- 1:21Speaker 1: regular programming, I'm going to share something with you both
- 1:25Speaker 1: that I know you're going to love. It's twofold one.
- 1:28Speaker 1: I'm debuting a new game inside the Treehouse called if
- 1:33Speaker 1: You Laugh, You're Dead. Okay, I literally just you know, disfiguratively,
- 1:41Speaker 1: and the thing I'm going to share with you to
- 1:45Speaker 1: see if you win the game or not. Well, if
- 1:50Speaker 1: I can speak frankly, it's shocking, okay, Okay, So here
- 1:57Speaker 1: we go. This is the debut to you, Trey and
- 2:02Speaker 1: to u Raj, okay of the new game inside the
- 2:06Speaker 1: Treehouse called If You Laugh, You're Dead. This is a
- 2:11Speaker 1: news report from a station I don't know, and honestly
- 2:16Speaker 1: it doesn't really matter. Just enjoy the anchor trying to
- 2:18Speaker 1: tell you about something unfortunate that happened to a woman.
- 2:23Speaker 2: A Boise, Idaho woman is considered a medical miracle. Laura
- 2:27Speaker 2: Estreman was struck by lightning nearly a month ago and
- 2:30Speaker 2: she was considered officially dead. Thankfully, CPR from her mom
- 2:33Speaker 2: revived her heart, but she laid in a coma for
- 2:36Speaker 2: two weeks and then she divied all odds and woke up.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Well, honestly, congratulations, I think, Raj, you've won the game.
- 2:58Speaker 1: You're not laughing in Trey's smiling, and I think kind
- 3:00Speaker 1: of uncertain about things.
- 3:04Speaker 2: There was a problem with that tape. She doesn't really
- 3:06Speaker 2: sound like that. She doesn't remember the accent.
- 3:11Speaker 1: I am so sorry if.
- 3:13Speaker 2: The lightning burned her legs, and we'll have all that
- 3:16Speaker 2: story and hopefully get that tape fixed for you.
- 3:23Speaker 1: That is that is one of the best slash worst
- 3:28Speaker 1: timed uh VHS or beta max whatever this TV station
- 3:33Speaker 1: was using times for it to skip that I've ever witnessed.
- 3:39Speaker 3: Now here's I give him credit because he's not me,
- 3:43Speaker 3: because I wouldn't have called it out.
- 3:47Speaker 1: What would you have said?
- 3:48Speaker 3: I was like, isn't isn't that amazing? What an amazing comeback?
- 3:51Speaker 3: And I wouldn't. I wouldn't even make mention that it
- 3:54Speaker 3: was the tape vault.
- 3:55Speaker 1: It's just actually how she is.
- 3:58Speaker 3: That's that's called lightning talk.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Thank you for that report. We appreciate that. Clearly she's
- 4:03Speaker 1: still struggling in her recovery process, but we have high
- 4:06Speaker 1: hopes for her.
- 4:08Speaker 3: Her brain works lightning fast, so she sometimes can't get
- 4:11Speaker 3: it out as fast as she wants.
- 4:12Speaker 4: To the other side of the reason there's that's shocking.
- 4:21Speaker 3: The flip side to this is the reason I didn't laugh.
- 4:23Speaker 3: I've seen this video a damned and they also did.
- 4:28Speaker 3: They also did a report on her on like twenty twenty,
- 4:31Speaker 3: back in the day when they didn't do all murder.
- 4:33Speaker 3: Oh it was actually they covered other news.
- 4:36Speaker 4: Stories back when it was Barbara Walters and Hugh Downs.
- 4:39Speaker 3: Yes, but basically yeah.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Friday Night Man who that was exciting times.
- 4:44Speaker 3: What was Stone Phillips on? Oh he was DATELINEA where
- 4:47Speaker 3: Dateline was all murder yeah, but no, it's really pretty
- 4:53Speaker 3: incredible that she she managed to make a full recovery,
- 4:57Speaker 3: like legitimately, like.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Because the deck is clearly stacked against her. In case,
- 5:03Speaker 1: it's the tape deck.
- 5:05Speaker 3: And here's the crip. My my girlfriend's uncle who lives
- 5:09Speaker 3: out in West Texas has been struck by lightning three times.
- 5:13Speaker 3: What yeah, three times. I don't believe it either, but
- 5:18Speaker 3: everybody is like, yeah, boys, yeah, but didn't I mean,
- 5:23Speaker 3: nothing like that happened. I think he he just looked
- 5:26Speaker 3: and sounded like that before the lightning strikes.
- 5:28Speaker 1: And so he corrected him.
- 5:30Speaker 3: Yeah, he's just made him a normal guy. He's an
- 5:33Speaker 3: accountant now.
- 5:37Speaker 1: He counts cards in vain. It's one of those few
- 5:43Speaker 1: times you're getting struck by light and you really pay
- 5:45Speaker 1: it off.
- 5:47Speaker 3: He can see through the deck.
- 5:49Speaker 1: He doesn't even have to.
- 5:54Speaker 3: You ever seen somebody play blackjack blind? That's a weird time.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Not only does not only does he know which card
- 6:00Speaker 1: is next or next in five hands, but he also
- 6:04Speaker 1: can tell you how many electrons are in it.
- 6:09Speaker 3: Favorite movie Powder, favorite cartoon character, Louis the lightning Bug.
- 6:22Speaker 1: One more time because it makes me smile.
- 6:24Speaker 2: The Idaho Woman is considered a medical miracle. Laura Estreman
- 6:28Speaker 2: was struck by lightning nearly a month ago and she
- 6:30Speaker 2: was considered officially dead. Thankfully, CPR from her mom revived
- 6:34Speaker 2: her heart, but she laid in a coma for two
- 6:37Speaker 2: weeks and then she defied all odds and woke up. Well,
- 6:49Speaker 2: obviously there's a problem with that tape. She doesn't really
- 6:52Speaker 2: sound like that. She doesn't remember the accent of the.
- 6:57Speaker 1: I am so sorry to walk again.
- 7:00Speaker 2: If the lightning we'll have more that story and hopefully
- 7:04Speaker 2: get that tape fix for you.
- 7:07Speaker 3: And when they cut away, what do you think happened?
- 7:09Speaker 4: Like?
- 7:10Speaker 3: How much do you think they were just dying?
- 7:13Speaker 1: I think I think that studio floor was covered in
- 7:16Speaker 1: pissed because you know that they played that clip at
- 7:29Speaker 1: the station Christmas party at the end of the year.
- 7:32Speaker 1: You know, it's like, let's go through all of our
- 7:33Speaker 1: bloopers for the year. Here's Chris's he wins.
- 7:38Speaker 3: I would like for the engineer to come in, like
- 7:40Speaker 3: I did, fix the tape. That's that's it. That's that's
- 7:44Speaker 3: the fixed version.
- 7:46Speaker 5: I think there's an engineer. Oh oh, you chewed me
- 7:49Speaker 5: out about your mic last week. Okay, here you go.

- 9:37Speaker 1: that is Fairleas dot org. There is a major safety
- 9:42Speaker 1: issue in schools across this fine nation, and it's wreaking
- 9:46Speaker 1: havoc in communities and in homes. I'm talking about kids
- 9:53Speaker 1: who are tripping and falling over their own crocs, so
- 9:56Speaker 1: schools are banning them over safety concerns.
- 10:03Speaker 3: I thought I thought they were supposed to be like
- 10:07Speaker 3: like the safety shoe, like you could wear them like
- 10:09Speaker 3: in restaurants. I thought you could wear those because they
- 10:11Speaker 3: were like the no slip soles is what the crocs had? Well,
- 10:15Speaker 3: am I wrong? Or it's just all plastic shoe.
- 10:19Speaker 1: They're supposed to be safe, They're supposed to be soft
- 10:21Speaker 1: and cushiony.
- 10:22Speaker 2: I know.
- 10:22Speaker 1: I mean, I've got a pair of crocs myself. I
- 10:26Speaker 1: use them for my yard. I don't wear them everywhere
- 10:29Speaker 1: like gen Z or Gen Alpha does. And apparently it's
- 10:32Speaker 1: Gen Alpha that is having the major issue with tripping
- 10:35Speaker 1: and falling over their crocs.
- 10:37Speaker 5: And and because I in my previous relationship I live
- 10:42Speaker 5: with two small Gen Alpha kids, I can tell you
- 10:46Speaker 5: what the problem is. Oh, you know, crocs come with
- 10:50Speaker 5: a strap that you can you put your foot in
- 10:54Speaker 5: and look it over the back of your heel.
- 10:57Speaker 4: Gen Alpha. That is too much trouble, Like using that strap?
- 11:03Speaker 1: Do they know it's there? Do they know what it's for?
- 11:06Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, Yeah, it's like the whole new phenomenon. Like
- 11:10Speaker 3: I've asked this to people before, like the slip in
- 11:13Speaker 3: shoe now like sketchers, like tired of tying your laces.
- 11:16Speaker 3: I'm like, who's who is? Like Like now you don't
- 11:19Speaker 3: even have to bend down. I'm like, we're gonna get
- 11:21Speaker 3: to the point it's like let the shoe come to you.
- 11:24Speaker 3: Like I don't know, like what's coming next. Like I've
- 11:26Speaker 3: never I've never had an issue with tying my shoes before.
- 11:30Speaker 5: And one of the biggest problems in aging is lack
- 11:33Speaker 5: of flexibility, not being able to bend down.
- 11:36Speaker 4: And so you're just, yeah, you're making it work, hating it.
- 11:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:40Speaker 1: I would like to point out that while I don't
- 11:43Speaker 1: have an issue with tying my shoes. I am a
- 11:47Speaker 1: big fan of shoes that I don't have to tie
- 11:50Speaker 1: the laces I had.
- 11:52Speaker 3: You had a big pencil and ran head first a
- 11:55Speaker 3: wood building. I'm glad you don't have to tie your
- 11:58Speaker 3: shoe laces. But you're you're the reason velcrow was invented.
- 12:02Speaker 1: I'm serious. Look, there are shoes. I own two pairs
- 12:05Speaker 1: of shoes that are no I'm sorry, three pairs of
- 12:07Speaker 1: shoes from a company called Tropic Feel. It's not an
- 12:12Speaker 1: endorsement form. I just like the shoes because they have
- 12:14Speaker 1: what they have called are named sprint laces where it's
- 12:19Speaker 1: the it's just kind of a snug fit. It's stretchy,
- 12:22Speaker 1: and you don't have to tie the shoes I have.
- 12:24Speaker 1: I have three of those, and I have a pair
- 12:27Speaker 1: of crocs. I only wear those, you know, for yardwork
- 12:29Speaker 1: and stuff. Though I have, you know, some standards, so
- 12:34Speaker 1: I can appreciate the no tie phenomenon. Also, the shoes
- 12:41Speaker 1: I wear to the gym are under armor and they're
- 12:45Speaker 1: they're called slip Speed, So it has a dial that
- 12:49Speaker 1: you push on and then you turn it to tighten
- 12:51Speaker 1: the laces instead of tying them. Also, it has a
- 12:54Speaker 1: foldable heel in case you want to go from gym
- 12:57Speaker 1: mode to relaxation mode and use it like a slipper.
- 13:00Speaker 3: So none of your shoes have laces you actually have
- 13:02Speaker 3: to tie.
- 13:04Speaker 1: There are a few, and you don't wear them. They're
- 13:07Speaker 1: they're in a box at the top of the closet.
- 13:11Speaker 5: Yeah, did Tara get tired of tying your shoes for you?
- 13:19Speaker 1: To the best of mine, to the best of my knowledge,
- 13:22Speaker 1: my wife has never had to tie my shoes.
- 13:25Speaker 3: Come here, big pencil Danny.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Turns out my home marriage is. Turns out my marriage
- 13:32Speaker 1: is just community service.
- 13:35Speaker 3: Just find out later she's a home health nurse.
- 13:38Speaker 1: We just let him think he's married to her.
- 13:40Speaker 3: It's fine. We did a whole wedding and everything.
- 13:44Speaker 1: It was either that or his teddy rucksman, so we
- 13:47Speaker 1: figured this was healthier. Uh now not everyone, of course,
- 13:51Speaker 1: is thrilled with schools banning crocs for safety concerns of
- 13:56Speaker 1: children who keep tripping and falling over them. Enter in
- 13:59Speaker 1: the mother's And this is one here who disagrees with
- 14:02Speaker 1: her kids school banning crocs over safety concerns. Oh wait,
- 14:09Speaker 1: hang on, I got to pull up my fader here.
- 14:17Speaker 8: There is a condition in regards to like sandals and
- 14:20Speaker 8: shoes with open backs, Crocs are somewhere in the middle.
- 14:23Speaker 8: I guess it's up to interpretation. To say that it's
- 14:25Speaker 8: a safety issue is kind of where he's saying that
- 14:28Speaker 8: does not make sense. Nurses wear them, people in food
- 14:30Speaker 8: service wear them.
- 14:36Speaker 1: But it doesn't matter if the people in the restaurant industry,
- 14:41Speaker 1: if the people in the medical industry were tripping and
- 14:44Speaker 1: falling over them, then they wouldn't be wearing them. If
- 14:47Speaker 1: your idiot kid can't stay upright in a pair of crocs,
- 14:53Speaker 1: then probably they should have different types of shoes.
- 14:56Speaker 3: Well, to Trey's point, they I've seen nurses wear them,
- 15:01Speaker 3: I've seen the food industry with them. The strap is
- 15:03Speaker 3: over the back of their heel, so that's why they
- 15:06Speaker 3: don't trip and fall. Also, why aren't we selling these
- 15:09Speaker 3: kids helmets, Like, let's do that if there if there's
- 15:13Speaker 3: a if there's a if there's a market for these
- 15:15Speaker 3: kids tripping and falling. You know what, we have the crockmet,
- 15:19Speaker 3: the crop helmet. Uh, we'll make it a no tie.
- 15:23Speaker 3: We'll figure out a way they don't have to tie
- 15:25Speaker 3: the helmet onto their head or fasten it.
- 15:28Speaker 1: It'll it'll be it'll be like our rebock pumps from
- 15:30Speaker 1: the nineties. He just hits a button, you push a
- 15:32Speaker 1: few times, and it titans on their head.
- 15:34Speaker 3: Yeah. I think that's called h encephalitis.
- 15:37Speaker 5: I think, and we have the spokesman for it. Look,
- 15:42Speaker 5: this is what happens when you don't wear a helmet.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Hey, you're in the treehouse.
- 15:56Speaker 7: Visit us online a Treehouse on air dot com.
- 16:00Speaker 1: I'm surprised they're not tripping over their crocks and then
- 16:03Speaker 1: then their big pencils are going right into their jugular.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Don't run in your crocks well, holding your big pencils.
- 16:27Speaker 6: You're listening to the treehouse. Visit us online at Treehouse

- 16:33Speaker 1: I mentioned it before, but I feel like it bears repeating.

- 16:38Speaker 1: get even more treehouse subscription levels. Are there Patreon dot
- 16:43Speaker 1: com slash tree House on Air even more Treehouse for
- 16:48Speaker 1: your consumption. All right, so let's shift now from Genalpha
- 16:53Speaker 1: kids that have trouble walking in their crocs to some
- 16:58Speaker 1: of their moms who may be tripped balls. Maybe this
- 17:02Speaker 1: is an explanation to why we have some children who
- 17:07Speaker 1: can't walk properly. Maybe it's because their moms are on shrooms.
- 17:16Speaker 1: There are middle class women who are tripping balls across America.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Women are using hallucinogens to improve their marriages and mental health.
- 17:24Speaker 1: Meet the Mushroom Mommies. This is from This is from
- 17:30Speaker 1: the Free Press for Free People by Cat Rosenfield just
- 17:35Speaker 1: a couple of weeks ago.
- 17:37Speaker 3: Sounds room Mommies sound like they open for the Giggles
- 17:39Speaker 3: or the Wiggles whatever it is.
- 17:41Speaker 4: The Wiggles, yep, the Wiggles.
- 17:42Speaker 3: Yeah yeah.
- 17:44Speaker 1: The Mushroom Mommies show would definitely be one of those.
- 17:48Speaker 1: It's got something for everyone, Yeah, some for the kids
- 17:52Speaker 1: and then adult stuff as well.
- 17:54Speaker 3: It's called Laser Floyd.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Picture the platonic idea of the millennial woman, and you're
- 18:01Speaker 1: probably thinking of someone like Rachel, a mushroom mommy. At
- 18:06Speaker 1: forty two. She has enviably unblemished skin and a nose
- 18:09Speaker 1: piercing nostril, not septum, in which she sports a delicate
- 18:12Speaker 1: gold hoop. She's been married for nearly two decades. To
- 18:16Speaker 1: start that over, she's been married for nearly two decades
- 18:19Speaker 1: to her college sweetheart, with whom she has three kids
- 18:21Speaker 1: under the age of thirteen. That's a lot. She worked
- 18:24Speaker 1: for ten years in the healthcare industry before becoming a
- 18:26Speaker 1: full time mom. She rides a peloton every morning, attends
- 18:30Speaker 1: PTA meetings in the afternoons, and in her spare time
- 18:32Speaker 1: knit's gorgeous understated sweaters that look for the kind of
- 18:35Speaker 1: garment Gwyneth Paltrow would wear on a trip to the
- 18:37Speaker 1: Scottish Highlands. But Rachel also has another hobby, one that
- 18:41Speaker 1: makes her a bit different from the other moms in
- 18:43Speaker 1: her Texas suburb, not that she talks about it with them.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Once a month or so, after she and her husband
- 18:49Speaker 1: put the kids to bed, Rachel texts her in laws,
- 18:52Speaker 1: who live just down the street, to make sure they're
- 18:54Speaker 1: home and available in the event of an emergency. And
- 18:57Speaker 1: then Rachel takes a generous of magic mushrooms or sometimes
- 19:02Speaker 1: in DMA, and there's really no other way to say this,
- 19:05Speaker 1: She spends the next several hours tripping balls. She says,
- 19:14Speaker 1: everything feels incredible, everything tastes incredible, all your sensory experiences
- 19:18Speaker 1: are really intense. Sex is incredible as well, She says.
- 19:21Speaker 1: If you take MDMA with a partner, it feels almost
- 19:24Speaker 1: like you can accomplish what you would in like five
- 19:26Speaker 1: years of couples counseling in one night. In popular American culture,
- 19:31Speaker 1: psychedelic drugs are probably best known as recreational substances, beloved
- 19:34Speaker 1: by the sort of dreadlock sporting but tuly marinated camper
- 19:37Speaker 1: van dweller who takes sound bats instead of actual bats
- 19:40Speaker 1: and just wants to free his mind. Man that their
- 19:43Speaker 1: use has sharply risen in the last decade or so.
- 19:45Speaker 1: One study published in July twenty twenty four found that
- 19:48Speaker 1: the percentage of adults aged thirty five to fifty who
- 19:51Speaker 1: had used hallucinogens within the past year was seven times
- 19:55Speaker 1: what it was just ten years ago. And that's not
- 19:58Speaker 1: just hippies driving the trend.
- 20:01Speaker 3: Yeah, I know, I know a lot of people that
- 20:03Speaker 3: micro dose mushrooms. This isn't microdocing like she does it
- 20:06Speaker 3: once a month and she does like full on. But yeah,
- 20:09Speaker 3: I know a lot of people that microdose. And I've
- 20:12Speaker 3: seen it at like dinners where they have like a
- 20:14Speaker 3: little jar and they'll just reach in and take a
- 20:17Speaker 3: little piece of mushroom, and I was like, what are
- 20:18Speaker 3: you doing there, buddy?
- 20:19Speaker 1: Just micros That's probably the only way you'd ever see
- 20:22Speaker 1: me at a PTA meeting Like I was high and
- 20:28Speaker 1: I just wandered into the wrong room.
- 20:31Speaker 5: You know, clearly they learned from their parents that shardonay
- 20:34Speaker 5: and coke wasn't the best way.
- 20:41Speaker 3: Remember the good old days of house moms that you know,
- 20:44Speaker 3: the housewives that just did meth. What happened those days?
- 20:50Speaker 1: Well, I mean, Trey, you're actually onto something there because
- 20:53Speaker 1: you know, wine and cocaine, you know, with a cigarette
- 20:57Speaker 1: in the middle of all of it. All grew up
- 21:00Speaker 1: a little off, so we're open to, uh, exploring different
- 21:05Speaker 1: ways of living life or open to doing other things
- 21:10Speaker 1: on a Friday night besides uh, you know a movie
- 21:13Speaker 1: and popcorn thing.
- 21:15Speaker 5: Yeah, for years, I I could tell you a couple
- 21:18Speaker 5: of bars where you could see the you know, after
- 21:21Speaker 5: tennis lessons, the chardonay and and a and a and
- 21:24Speaker 5: a bump before picking the kids up to school.
- 21:28Speaker 3: Yeah, a little Kendall Jackson, some Peruvian flake and some
- 21:31Speaker 3: marble lights. Let's do it.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Bonus. If they're a Virginia Slims.
- 21:36Speaker 3: That's the soccer mom trifecta.
- 21:39Speaker 5: And and they're they're they're not drinking Kindle Jackson.
- 21:43Speaker 3: Okay, my bad, come on I'm in Mesquite, buddy.
- 21:50Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, if it was meth then yeah, Kendall Jackson.
- 21:56Speaker 1: And that's after and that's after doubling up with Bartles
- 21:59Speaker 1: and Jane. And I'm not talking about the wine coolers.
- 22:03Speaker 3: No, the wine is wine coolers is cracked.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Look, it's an interesting thing. I think. The thing that
- 22:12Speaker 1: I'm most surprised by by, you know, middle class women
- 22:17Speaker 1: tripping balls on a Friday night is the fact that,
- 22:19Speaker 1: in the case of this lady who lives in a
- 22:21Speaker 1: Texas suburb, I need to see which one it is,
- 22:24Speaker 1: is that she texts her in laws who live down
- 22:28Speaker 1: the street, to say, Okay, just be aware we're about to,
- 22:31Speaker 1: you know, eat some shrooms or take some mollie. They
- 22:35Speaker 1: seem to be fine with it. And then they that's
- 22:38Speaker 1: after they put the kids to bed. Wouldn't you just
- 22:40Speaker 1: have the in laws come pick up the kids.
- 22:43Speaker 3: No, See, that's leaving a paper trail for CPS. That's
- 22:47Speaker 3: all custody.
- 22:48Speaker 4: Dan.
- 22:49Speaker 1: I'm just saying, I think, if you're gonna, if you're gonna,
- 22:52Speaker 1: you know, do hard drugs, let the in laws take
- 22:57Speaker 1: the kids for the night, and that way you have
- 22:59Speaker 1: the whole house to do it it is that you
- 23:00Speaker 1: want to do without the kids waking up, which they
- 23:03Speaker 1: will in the middle of you tripping balls and wonder
- 23:06Speaker 1: what has gotten.
- 23:07Speaker 3: Into mommy trip and Daddy. That's who's got.
- 23:14Speaker 1: Yeah, that's when you walk into your parents doing their
- 23:16Speaker 1: first threesome. But the third partner is Molly.
- 23:22Speaker 3: Yeah. And first of all, I don't think mushrooms are
- 23:24Speaker 3: and I love how you aged yourself. I don't think
- 23:27Speaker 3: mushrooms are hard drugs anymore.
- 23:30Speaker 1: They are to me when you classify it as a hallucinogen,
- 23:34Speaker 1: to me, that's a hard drug.
- 23:36Speaker 3: Gotcha. I think you should try it. I think you
- 23:39Speaker 3: should try the mushrooms and see what it does for you.
- 23:42Speaker 1: I think those terrify me. Anything where my reality has
- 23:46Speaker 1: completely changed I am I am terrified of I don't
- 23:50Speaker 1: like not being in control, and I certainly don't like
- 23:54Speaker 1: eating something that's going to alter my reality. And God
- 23:58Speaker 1: knows what I'm gonna end up doing or saying or whatever.
- 24:03Speaker 3: I have a feeling you're gonna be best friends with
- 24:04Speaker 3: a goat man.
- 24:06Speaker 1: And that's why I don't want to do. I don't
- 24:09Speaker 1: want to be best friends with a goat man, no
- 24:11Speaker 1: matter how cool he seems.

- 25:32Speaker 1: else on the tip of your tongue about middle aged
- 25:36Speaker 1: women tripping balls.
- 25:38Speaker 3: No, I.
- 25:44Speaker 5: Although I have always been against it, I am now
- 25:46Speaker 5: I have for some reason, I have an urge to
- 25:50Speaker 5: like go to a place and try ayahuasca.
- 25:53Speaker 3: Yeah, my buddy does that out in West Texas. So
- 25:56Speaker 3: let me know.
- 25:58Speaker 1: Is that like a is it like a camp or
- 26:01Speaker 1: something that you go to. I don't you is it camp?
- 26:04Speaker 1: Aaron Rodgers? Yeah, like other quarterbacks have a QB camp.
- 26:10Speaker 1: He's got a Ayahuasca camp.
- 26:12Speaker 3: Camp by Ahuasca. Yeah that sounds that sound that sounds
- 26:15Speaker 3: like a legitimate camp. But trust you don't want to
- 26:16Speaker 3: send your kids there, like, oh maybe you do. Yeah, No,
- 26:21Speaker 3: it's a it's an Amazon thing where it's.
- 26:25Speaker 5: This ancient Amazonian. Yeah, it's a plant that they blend
- 26:29Speaker 5: with something else.
- 26:30Speaker 1: And oh Jesus Christ, this is how much Amazon the
- 26:33Speaker 1: company has infiltrated my life. When you said it's an
- 26:36Speaker 1: Amazon thing, I thought, really, you can get hallucinogens from Amazon. Okay,
- 26:40Speaker 1: is it on Prime? Sorry? Now I get it from
- 26:42Speaker 1: the Amazon rainflows.
- 26:43Speaker 3: Amazonian thank you. Uh yeah, And they boil it down
- 26:48Speaker 3: and then you drink it and then usually vomited up
- 26:52Speaker 3: or you you can usually depending on you. A lot
- 26:57Speaker 3: of people do it for just like to get themselves
- 26:59Speaker 3: off substance abuse or to go back like his therapeutic,
- 27:02Speaker 3: like to go back to past like traumas or whatever.
- 27:05Speaker 3: And apparently he was you like, they do it for
- 27:08Speaker 3: like a three or four day thing. And usually people
- 27:11Speaker 3: are like like Aaron Rodgers, right, just a big a
- 27:16Speaker 3: hole his whole life, and like even his family, like
- 27:20Speaker 3: you guys know his family would invite him to like
- 27:22Speaker 3: Christmas or Thanksgiving, like like they wouldn't even he wasn't
- 27:25Speaker 3: they left a chair open for him, but they like,
- 27:27Speaker 3: he's not invited. And now he spends time with his family.
- 27:29Speaker 3: He sees the shadow Man in the in the stands,
- 27:31Speaker 3: and if he sees the shadow Man, he knows he's
- 27:33Speaker 3: gonna win. If he doesn't see the shadow Man, he
- 27:36Speaker 3: knows he's gonna lose. And so I don't know if
- 27:38Speaker 3: I guess the shadow Man didn't go to the Jets
- 27:41Speaker 3: with him when they traded him. So, but apparently it's
- 27:45Speaker 3: A yeah, it's it's supposed to be like an amazing
- 27:48Speaker 3: wonder drug.
- 27:50Speaker 1: The tray is that something that fits into the sober
- 27:52Speaker 1: lifestyle of of a A because you've been sober for
- 27:56Speaker 1: eight years and that like A.
- 28:00Speaker 5: Well, it's this is more therapeutic. I would say, it's
- 28:06Speaker 5: not like something it's not something you recreationally do. It's
- 28:09Speaker 5: not something you you know, you just you typically do
- 28:12Speaker 5: on your own. It's like It's Rod said, you go
- 28:16Speaker 5: there are like centers that you go to that you
- 28:20Speaker 5: do this you spend a couple of days at and
- 28:22Speaker 5: it's very controlled and it's supposed to be very therapeutic.
- 28:25Speaker 3: Yeah, it's it's it's completely supervised. Like you it's not
- 28:28Speaker 3: like you're gonna catch tray at two o'clock in the morning,
- 28:31Speaker 3: just hammered on aahuasca like you do this like once,
- 28:35Speaker 3: like once every six months to a year.
- 28:37Speaker 1: You can do it, Okay, gotcha?
- 28:40Speaker 3: Yeah? So, but I mean a buddy mine from college. Uh,
- 28:44Speaker 3: one of the sweetest human beings in the world. But
- 28:46Speaker 3: he was just a raging, raging alcoholic. And he was
- 28:50Speaker 3: your typical downtown, uptown guy man Trove the BMW, had
- 28:53Speaker 3: the one hundred and sixty one hundred and seventy five
- 28:55Speaker 3: thousand dollars a year job, had a beautiful apartment, just miserable,
- 28:59Speaker 3: blocking out all the time. He had heard about this
- 29:03Speaker 3: thing in Peru and went down there. Uh, not Peru,
- 29:07Speaker 3: I guess it's Prue. And I went through there and
- 29:10Speaker 3: did the ayahuasca. He's never had a sip of alcohol again.
- 29:13Speaker 3: And he started filmed the documentary More joy Less Pain.
- 29:16Speaker 3: It's amazing, uh, and he swears by it so like
- 29:21Speaker 3: and he turned took like he turned like he like
- 29:23Speaker 3: has a garden at University of Texas Arlington, where like
- 29:26Speaker 3: he like it's a community garden like that.
- 29:28Speaker 1: He's I went to UTA. I don't remember an ayahuasca garden.
- 29:31Speaker 3: No. I think it's mostly weed. But I mean that
- 29:34Speaker 3: they had yeah they had that.
- 29:36Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, this is this is stuff that they've they've
- 29:40Speaker 5: are they they've dated back to at least like thirteen
- 29:42Speaker 5: thousand years ago.
- 29:43Speaker 4: Yeah. Interesting.
- 29:46Speaker 3: Yeah, So, I mean so.
- 29:48Speaker 1: It is sort of like a it is sort of
- 29:49Speaker 1: like a camp. It's just obviously for adults. You just
- 29:52Speaker 1: but you said, it's it's controlled. It's with professionals. They're
- 29:56Speaker 1: monitoring you, making sure you don't have a bad trip,
- 29:59Speaker 1: I guess, and if you do, they can.
- 30:02Speaker 5: The funny thing is you read about it, you don't
- 30:04Speaker 5: hear about people having bad trips.
- 30:06Speaker 4: It's not like LSD or anything else.
- 30:09Speaker 5: It's uh he said, its supposed to be very spiritual
- 30:12Speaker 5: and uh uh healing.
- 30:16Speaker 3: Like, yeah, if you let me know, if you want
- 30:18Speaker 3: to do it, Tray, I'll get in touch with him.
- 30:20Speaker 3: Wedn't go up there together, be fun.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Well, I want to do it too. I don't think
- 30:26Speaker 1: we should do this as a treehouse family, we all
- 30:29Speaker 1: do the ayahuasca.
- 30:32Speaker 3: And then the band breaks up, like everybody goes solo,
- 30:36Speaker 3: like the Beatles.
- 30:41Speaker 1: Is that what broke up the Beatles?
- 30:42Speaker 3: It was drugs, yes, and Yokoda.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Yeah, that's that's I always thought it was Yoko.
- 30:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:49Speaker 1: I mean I'm intrigued by it because you know, when
- 30:52Speaker 1: when I was in Seattle recently, I experimented more with
- 30:57Speaker 1: marijuana there than I ever have in my life. And
- 30:58Speaker 1: keep in mind, that was like three times wow that
- 31:02Speaker 1: I did in Seattle, So that tells you my experience
- 31:05Speaker 1: with drugs. It's very minimal. And I tried it and
- 31:09Speaker 1: I don't like it because all marijuana did to me.
- 31:12Speaker 1: And I tried. I tried all the different vehicles, right,
- 31:18Speaker 1: I tried gummies, didn't like it. I tried to joint,
- 31:21Speaker 1: didn't like that. I tried an edible, didn't like that.
- 31:25Speaker 1: So I don't know of any other method of taking
- 31:29Speaker 1: the dope, taking the weed whatever. All all it did
- 31:33Speaker 1: was just make me motion sick, and I hate being
- 31:36Speaker 1: motion sick, so weed is not for me.
- 31:39Speaker 3: I have a vape pen. That's what I used. Like
- 31:42Speaker 3: I've tried weed three times. I was like I did
- 31:44Speaker 3: that today.
- 31:46Speaker 1: I can't see it. The other reason why is I
- 31:48Speaker 1: can't do it because it was just over a year
- 31:51Speaker 1: ago that I smoked a joint and I made the
- 31:56Speaker 1: mistake of basically smoking the whole thing because I don't
- 31:58Speaker 1: know moderation very well. If there's a cookie, I want
- 32:02Speaker 1: two cookies. If there's a bowl of cereal, I want
- 32:04Speaker 1: the whole box. And so someone gave me a joint
- 32:09Speaker 1: or okay, I bought it, and I ended up smoking
- 32:13Speaker 1: the whole thing, and I spent the next three hours
- 32:15Speaker 1: feeling like I was on the poseidon.
- 32:18Speaker 3: Yes, but you're not supposed to like because you're not
- 32:20Speaker 3: a frequent smoker, you're not supposed to smoke of the
- 32:22Speaker 3: whole thing. You take a couple of hits to see
- 32:25Speaker 3: how it does. And tell people, honestly, when you ate
- 32:27Speaker 3: the edible, you ate the whole edible, and then you
- 32:30Speaker 3: overdose on weed.
- 32:31Speaker 1: No I didn't. I overdosed on wheed on that first
- 32:34Speaker 1: joint every time since I was very cautious about it,
- 32:38Speaker 1: and also a terror monitored and told me, no she
- 32:42Speaker 1: didn't try it, No, no, no she did, but so
- 32:45Speaker 1: she was there, so so it wasn't possible for me
- 32:48Speaker 1: to overindulge on my experimentation.
- 32:51Speaker 3: I like it.
- 32:52Speaker 5: She probably fed you a lot just to just to entertain.
- 32:55Speaker 3: Herself, just so she didn't have to tire your shoe
- 32:57Speaker 3: laces anymore. If he's passed out, he doesn't need shoes.
- 33:07Speaker 1: I hate to say, but I think you guys might
- 33:09Speaker 1: be right. You're in the tree house.
- 33:19Speaker 7: Visit us online a Treehouse on Air dot com. You're
- 33:43Speaker 7: in the tree house. Visit us online at Treehouse on
- 33:47Speaker 7: Air dot com.
- 33:51Speaker 1: Back inside the treehouse. Now. It is Monday, November four,
- 33:56Speaker 1: twenty twenty four. Let's get some pre election birthdays in.
- 34:03Speaker 1: Des Bryant, former Dallas Cowboys receiver, is thirty six today.
- 34:07Speaker 1: After he played for the Cowboys. He also played for
- 34:10Speaker 1: the Saints and the Ravens. It's interesting when I go
- 34:12Speaker 1: back and think about des Bryant's career with the Cowboys
- 34:16Speaker 1: and Jerry Jones's lack of wanting to get rid of
- 34:19Speaker 1: players that he likes. I'm still surprised that the Cowboys
- 34:23Speaker 1: released him when they did, because I thought they were
- 34:25Speaker 1: they were going to hang on to him for at
- 34:27Speaker 1: least a year or two more. I was really really
- 34:30Speaker 1: proud of them that they cut him when they did
- 34:32Speaker 1: because he had become such a liability because he was
- 34:35Speaker 1: still freakishly athletic, but then he would make a great
- 34:37Speaker 1: catch and then fumble the damball.
- 34:39Speaker 5: Yeah you mean Jerry paid for him to have a
- 34:42Speaker 5: handler twenty four to seven from the time they drafted him,
- 34:46Speaker 5: and I think even the handler's like, we can't do
- 34:48Speaker 5: this anymore.
- 34:49Speaker 3: He was final. The final straw was when he slapped
- 34:52Speaker 3: his mom. He was they were both him. I thought
- 34:54Speaker 3: it was whom and his mom were drunk and slapped
- 34:56Speaker 3: his mom slapped the hat.
- 34:57Speaker 1: Now that was That was a couple of That was
- 34:59Speaker 1: two three years before he ever got released. They really
- 35:02Speaker 1: that was kind of a non issue. I think everyone
- 35:04Speaker 1: when that happ were kind of like, Okay, we get it,
- 35:05Speaker 1: we get why you hit her.
- 35:06Speaker 4: There were a couple of one was public.
- 35:10Speaker 5: I don't know that I know of one instance that
- 35:13Speaker 5: did not get publicized, but.
- 35:16Speaker 4: In a hotel bar.
- 35:19Speaker 5: Slap people and had numerous security have to get him
- 35:24Speaker 5: under control and get him out.
- 35:26Speaker 1: So it wasn't just as far as as far as
- 35:31Speaker 1: rumors go, the Cowboys releasing birthday Boy des Bryant wasn't
- 35:36Speaker 1: just because of his play on the field. It was
- 35:38Speaker 1: mostly because of his play off of it. Yes, then
- 35:42Speaker 1: that shows an amazing amount of maturity on the Cowboys
- 35:46Speaker 1: franchise part, despite the fact that Jerry Jones himself rarely
- 35:50Speaker 1: displays it. Other birthdays Today on November fourth, twenty twenty four,
- 35:58Speaker 1: Curtis Stone, celebrity chef from Australia, is forty nine today.
- 36:03Speaker 1: He's tall, and he's blonde, got the frosted tips, and
- 36:06Speaker 1: he's Australian and he can cook. So a lot of
- 36:08Speaker 1: women really like that. Matthew McConaughey is fifty or five today.
- 36:15Speaker 1: Ralph Macchio. Oh, by the way, Trey, how do you
- 36:17Speaker 1: feel as a UT fan? How do you feel is
- 36:20Speaker 1: Matthew McConaughey still the king of the alumni of the
- 36:24Speaker 1: Hollywood Alumni UT? Or his Glenn Powell, his his star
- 36:28Speaker 1: has shot to the top of Hollywood fame. And I
- 36:33Speaker 1: guess he's a UT alum as well. He was at
- 36:35Speaker 1: the he was at a game a few weeks back.
- 36:37Speaker 1: Is he usurped McConaughey as the ultimate Longhorn?
- 36:40Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 36:41Speaker 5: I don't know if Glynn Powell actually went to UT
- 36:43Speaker 5: or if he's just been adopted, but I don't know.
- 36:46Speaker 1: Why do you say adopted like that?
- 36:51Speaker 3: Their generosity knows no bounce. Sometimes sometimes they're taking a
- 36:55Speaker 3: poor actor kid.
- 37:00Speaker 4: Uh oh.
- 37:01Speaker 5: I think for the time being, McConaughey is still rules supreme,
- 37:04Speaker 5: I mean, okay, and.
- 37:06Speaker 3: He does like she does, like their like their locker
- 37:08Speaker 3: room pep talk.
- 37:09Speaker 4: Mm hmm.
- 37:10Speaker 5: Even I think he teaches a class down there too. Yeah,
- 37:16Speaker 5: it's funny he was. I met him one time, like
- 37:21Speaker 5: during Rush, like he was a senior. I was a freshman.
- 37:24Speaker 5: He did not look anything like he does today.
- 37:28Speaker 1: But uh, he looked he looked more Congress Avenue.
- 37:32Speaker 4: He looked more frat boyish.
- 37:34Speaker 1: Really, I was thinking. I was thinking maybe he looked
- 37:37Speaker 1: more like he was living underneath the Congress Bridge with
- 37:39Speaker 1: the man.
- 37:41Speaker 3: He was adult.
- 37:41Speaker 4: Yes he was.
- 37:42Speaker 3: Yeah. It was Delta Ta Delta over you.
- 37:46Speaker 1: Oh gotcha, okay, Delta Oh yeah. So McConaughey fifty five today.
- 37:54Speaker 1: Ralph Macchio, star of the Karate Kid movies and the
- 37:58Speaker 1: Surprising Hits series called ra Khai, is sixty three. Sixty three.
- 38:03Speaker 1: The dude still looks thirty three. It's amazing how he
- 38:06Speaker 1: doesn't have some sort of skincare endorsement. I do not know.
- 38:09Speaker 3: He's just one of those anomalies. Like I thought you
- 38:11Speaker 3: were gonna say, Ralph Mancio, star of Karate Kid and
- 38:14Speaker 3: Cobra Kai ninety four.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Today, Eventually we will if we're still around doing birthdays,
- 38:22Speaker 1: and I guarantee and he's still gonna look forty four.
- 38:26Speaker 3: I know when he did Karate Kid two, he had
- 38:28Speaker 3: just had his third child, so that.
- 38:32Speaker 1: But the Karate Kid three because I think he had
- 38:35Speaker 1: an appearance in that one with the girl that was
- 38:37Speaker 1: the girl Karate Kid, right, I think he was already
- 38:40Speaker 1: like in aarp.
- 38:42Speaker 3: But the girl that's on the show on Cobra Kai
- 38:44Speaker 3: that plays like the high school girl, she's like twenty
- 38:46Speaker 3: nine his daughter.
- 38:47Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I think she's she's pushing thirty.
- 38:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 38:52Speaker 1: Other birthdays today, Survivor host Jeff Probs is sixty three.
- 38:56Speaker 1: Laura Bush for My First Lady is seventy eight. Loretta Switt,
- 39:00Speaker 1: who played Hot Lips Hulahan on Mash is eighty seven
- 39:03Speaker 1: today and celebrating his fifty fifth birthday in much different
- 39:08Speaker 1: fashion than he's used to. Diddy Diddy is fifty five today.
- 39:14Speaker 3: He's in prison. He's celebrating it in fashion. Trust me.
- 39:18Speaker 4: My thing.
- 39:19Speaker 1: Now he's just on the receiving end of the birthdays.
- 39:22Speaker 3: He's just missing Crystal and music.
- 39:28Speaker 4: I'm sure he's getting all his birthday spankings though.

- 40:22Speaker 1: appreciate that. Just a couple more things here before we
- 40:25Speaker 1: take off for the day. Inside the Treehouse, guys, have
- 40:28Speaker 1: you ever been this drunk? And actually I should rephrase
- 40:36Speaker 1: it also, have you ever been so drunk that you
- 40:41Speaker 1: were the subject of wrong answers only inside the Treehouse.
- 40:47Speaker 1: Inside the Treehouse for today, wrong answers only. A drunk woman.
- 40:56Speaker 1: A drunk woman stole a blank in New Orleans. I'll
- 41:02Speaker 1: let our contestants Tray and Raj think if they're a
- 41:05Speaker 1: wrong answer. A drunk woman stole a blank in New Orleans.
- 41:12Speaker 1: Let's start with you.
- 41:15Speaker 3: A drunk woman stole a horse in New Orleans.
- 41:20Speaker 1: That is incorrect, which makes that a correct answer. So
- 41:25Speaker 1: good job. That's actually the answer. When I saw the
- 41:28Speaker 1: when I saw the headline that I would have said,
- 41:30Speaker 1: I would have said, a drunk woman stole a police
- 41:32Speaker 1: horse in New Orleans, because actually that would have been
- 41:35Speaker 1: pretty believable too. Yes, all right, Trey, over to you.
- 41:39Speaker 1: A drunk woman stole a blank in New Orleans. I
- 41:42Speaker 1: need you a wrong answer an alligator that is incorrect,
- 41:49Speaker 1: which makes it a correct answer inside wrong answers only.
- 41:52Speaker 1: And I realized I'm supposed to be the host of
- 41:55Speaker 1: this show. But even I get confused as to what's
- 41:57Speaker 1: wrong and incorrect when you go back and forth so
- 41:59Speaker 1: many times, I feel like I'm taking shrooms. All right,
- 42:03Speaker 1: the real answer is a drunk woman stole a an
- 42:08Speaker 1: ambulance in New Orleans. A drunk woman stolen ambulance in
- 42:14Speaker 1: New Orleans. A woman in New Orleans stolen ambulance last
- 42:18Speaker 1: Tuesday night, took it for a joy ride with two
- 42:22Speaker 1: e mts and a patient still inside. Have you ever
- 42:30Speaker 1: been so drunk that you stole an ambulance in New
- 42:32Speaker 1: Orleans that had a patient and EMTs inside. This one
- 42:38Speaker 1: gets to say yes to that question if she's ever
- 42:41Speaker 1: asked it.
- 42:42Speaker 3: I'm just saying that's that's one dedicated surgeon. That is,
- 42:46Speaker 3: because most surgeons are hammered all the time. So that's
- 42:49Speaker 3: that's when she's like, I got this, I'll take them.
- 42:53Speaker 5: And it's funny any other you know time that that
- 42:55Speaker 5: seems just on face value, stealing an ambulance in New Orleans,
- 42:59Speaker 5: it seems very deestrian.
- 43:02Speaker 1: Yeah, that's why I thought it was a good fodder
- 43:05Speaker 1: for wrong answers only. New Orleans police said the woman
- 43:09Speaker 1: was arrested and taken to the University Medical Center for
- 43:12Speaker 1: a psych for a psychiatric evaluation. So let that sink in.
- 43:17Speaker 1: New Orleans police arrested this woman because she was so
- 43:21Speaker 1: drunk they thought she needed a psychiatric evaluation. You know
- 43:27Speaker 1: that New Orleans police has has truly truly seen some
- 43:33Speaker 1: stuff when it comes to drunk people, and they thought
- 43:35Speaker 1: she was so drunk that she needed to be evalcuated.
- 43:39Speaker 3: I wonder if they took her in the same ambulance
- 43:44Speaker 3: just put it right next to the patient. How are you?
- 43:46Speaker 3: That was my bat.
- 43:49Speaker 1: I also like to think this would be a great
- 43:51Speaker 1: premise for like a like for a sitcom to start
- 43:53Speaker 1: and you're like, how I met your mother? Part two?
- 43:57Speaker 3: I met your mother the rehab years, Why your mom
- 44:08Speaker 3: and I got divorced?
- 44:12Speaker 1: All of a sudden, All of a sudden, you get
- 44:13Speaker 1: all the answers you were looking for in the wonder years.
- 44:21Speaker 1: Speaking of rehab. Tomorrow is election day, Thank god, thank god,
- 44:27Speaker 1: tomorrow's election day. If you have not voted yet, please
- 44:30Speaker 1: do so for him ever you want. That's the idea,
- 44:34Speaker 1: that's the idea of freedom. So yeah, go vote tomorrow.
- 44:38Speaker 1: And on election day, I would like to wish us
- 44:41Speaker 1: all luck, not for one particular candidate over another, or
- 44:45Speaker 1: for our guy to beat that guy or anything like that. No,
- 44:48Speaker 1: I just wish our country luck because no matter who wins,
- 44:53Speaker 1: you know we're gonna need it. I'll see you back
- 44:57Speaker 1: inside the treehouse tomorrow.
- 45:01Speaker 7: Stay Bates, SA
