Olympia’s launching a three-year tree-refresh mission along Legion Way, pruning and removing select trees this summer to ensure health and safety—with replanting planned for fall next year or the year after. Rooted in history since 1928, when the American Legion planted trees to honor veterans, this corridor now boasts 117 trees, 95 of them oaks.
