- 0:48Speaker 3: that we work, the only time you feel like doing
- 0:51Speaker 3: it is on the weekend.
- 0:52Speaker 4: Then even then sometimes you're like, I'm not doing that.

- 1:01Speaker 4: not hear from me at all this weekend.
- 1:03Speaker 1: That's fine.
- 1:03Speaker 4: I might be on my computer the entire time.

- 1:45Speaker 4: I didn't think they were getting this fancy, but I
- 1:47Speaker 4: guess I can be wrong.
- 1:48Speaker 1: You don't even know what it is yet. It's a shring,
- 1:51Speaker 1: you know, it's a sharcooter ring. It's a ring that
- 1:54Speaker 1: you wear on your finger. Oh okay, cracker with a
- 1:59Speaker 1: ring on it, and you put it on your hand
- 2:03Speaker 1: and you put your lunchable stuff on it. They called
- 2:05Speaker 1: it the sharcoter ring. It's so weird.
- 2:08Speaker 4: No I fucking handle this type of information.
- 2:11Speaker 1: I know so T ninety nine.
- 2:13Speaker 3: It'll drop starting June eighth for National Best Friend's Day,

- 2:22Speaker 3: dot com.
- 2:23Speaker 1: You gotta go see a picture of it.
- 2:24Speaker 3: It's literally a charcooterie board, but a ring that is

- 2:46Speaker 3: No?
- 2:47Speaker 5: I volunteer there?
- 2:49Speaker 1: Okay? What does your boyfriend do that you volunteer at
- 2:52Speaker 1: his job?
- 2:53Speaker 5: He's a mechanic, So I do the reception mark.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Wait, you're not getting paid to do that. You're just
- 2:58Speaker 1: volunteering fun. Okay, but you need to tell that man
- 3:03Speaker 1: to give you some money.
- 3:04Speaker 5: Oh he does?
- 3:05Speaker 1: Okay, all right, Jerry? You want you want to play
- 3:09Speaker 1: Super Easy Trivia? And when it gets to Chris Brown,
- 3:12Speaker 1: I do all right.
- 3:13Speaker 3: I'll ask the question. Producer Blake is your lifeline if
- 3:16Speaker 3: you need him?
- 3:17Speaker 1: Question number one. I'll need him, Jerry. What is a
- 3:21Speaker 1: group of lions called Producer Blake?
- 3:24Speaker 4: That would be a pride?
- 3:26Speaker 1: Pride?
- 3:26Speaker 3: Is it next one? What star is closest to the earth? Oh?
- 3:33Speaker 5: I don't know this Onney either.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Ask Producer Blake. He's as space nerd Producer Blake.
- 3:39Speaker 4: That would be the Sun.
- 3:41Speaker 3: The Sun is a star and it is the closest
- 3:43Speaker 3: one to Earth. All right, last one for the wind. Jerry,
- 3:47Speaker 3: in what country can you find the Great Pyramid of Giza?
- 3:50Speaker 5: I don't know that either.
- 3:53Speaker 1: See the pyramids? I know you know this. Come on,
- 3:56Speaker 1: I don't say Egypt, Egypt. Good job. I love you, Jerry.
- 4:11Speaker 3: Congratulations, you just won super easy trivia.
- 4:14Speaker 1: You're going to Chris Brown and Usher.
- 4:16Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 4:17Speaker 2: It's three things you need to know.
- 4:19Speaker 1: You with the Alabama Shaw the ironail.
- 4:22Speaker 3: Farmers and Makers Market's going to be back next weekend. Farmers'
- 4:26Speaker 3: markets are so good because you get the best fresh produce.
- 4:29Speaker 3: They're going to have handmade stuff and baked goods also
- 4:32Speaker 3: and locally harvested honey, which is good. It'll be every
- 4:35Speaker 3: Saturday from May twenty third to August first, from eight
- 4:38Speaker 3: am till eleven am. It's free to get into the
- 4:41Speaker 3: farmers market and then you go get your goodies. So
- 4:44Speaker 3: next Saturday you'll be able to go.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Miller Lite just.
- 4:48Speaker 3: Dropped a soccer ball shaped cooler. It can hold up
- 4:51Speaker 3: to twelve beers. This is ahead of the twenty twenty
- 4:54Speaker 3: six World Cup. It's actually a really cool looking Cooler.
- 4:58Speaker 3: The limited edition soccer ball Coouler will drop on May
- 5:03Speaker 3: twentieth for nineteen seventy five. Taylor Swift is starting to
- 5:08Speaker 3: call her friends to invite them to her wedding.
- 5:10Speaker 4: Did you get an invit?
- 5:12Speaker 1: No? I did not.
- 5:13Speaker 3: She won't send out invitations or text because she doesn't
- 5:16Speaker 3: want the information about her wedding to leak, so she's
- 5:18Speaker 3: only making phone calls. And all she's saying is we're
- 5:23Speaker 3: gonna get married this summer. Keep your schedule flexible. She
- 5:26Speaker 3: hasn't even told her friends the actual date. It's just
- 5:29Speaker 3: this summer. Keep your schedules open.
- 5:32Speaker 4: You know how rough that is?
- 5:35Speaker 1: Only Taylor Swift could do that. Yeah, it's twenty else
- 5:39Speaker 1: I'd be like, you're crazy. I don't care. Only Taylor
- 5:42Speaker 1: Swift could do that.
- 5:43Speaker 4: For Tita, I will keep my schedule open.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Yeah, that's three things you need to know. More at
- 5:48Speaker 3: the Alabamashow dot com.
- 5:51Speaker 2: The Alabama Show on demand free on the iHeartRadio app eight.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Three three five oh one.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Bama is the number to call the show, Jason, give
- 5:59Speaker 3: them more.
- 6:00Speaker 1: What's going on? What's your issue for? Ask Alabama?
- 6:03Speaker 7: The girl that I'm currently talking to, we've gone on
- 6:05Speaker 7: a couple of dates. Okay, the inconsistent communication is what
- 6:11Speaker 7: kills me.
- 6:12Speaker 1: What do you mean by inconsistent Let's call it the
- 6:15Speaker 1: hot and cold hot and cold syndrome.
- 6:18Speaker 7: I know there's a vibe. I know she likes me,
- 6:21Speaker 7: but she does like to play the kind of cat
- 6:24Speaker 7: and mouse game.
- 6:26Speaker 1: How do you say?
- 6:27Speaker 3: So?
- 6:27Speaker 1: Give me an example.
- 6:29Speaker 7: She will text at very random times of the day,
- 6:33Speaker 7: very love bomby sweet things like things that I want
- 6:38Speaker 7: to hear and like and whatever. I'll respond pretty right
- 6:42Speaker 7: away to show like, you know, I'm not ghosting, I'm interested,
- 6:46Speaker 7: but then nothing until like two days later.
- 6:50Speaker 4: Oh, that is very too.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Much into it. No, it's not. She's got a life.
- 6:55Speaker 1: She has a life.
- 6:56Speaker 3: If she's thinking about you and she's letting you know,
- 6:59Speaker 3: she's thinking value and then she's going to do something
- 7:02Speaker 3: like I sent text and then put down my phone and.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Go do farm tours. Yeah, for two days she may
- 7:07Speaker 1: have forgotten.
- 7:08Speaker 3: Yes, there are times that I forget. Do you follow
- 7:11Speaker 3: up after that? Like if she doesn't text you right away,
- 7:13Speaker 3: do you not see anything and you're just like, oh, hey,
- 7:16Speaker 3: by the way, I hope you had a good day,
- 7:17Speaker 3: or do you just wait on her to respond back
- 7:19Speaker 3: to two days.
- 7:19Speaker 1: You can't just sit and wait.
- 7:21Speaker 7: So, yeah, I can't sit and wait. I can't do
- 7:23Speaker 7: that because I'm like, I'm not I don't care about
- 7:26Speaker 7: the you know, the stupid rule of like double texting,
- 7:30Speaker 7: you know, or triple texting, like I'm going to text
- 7:32Speaker 7: you if I'm into you.
- 7:34Speaker 4: So did you text her back?
- 7:36Speaker 1: Or did you wait the two days to hear back?
- 7:38Speaker 1: Like did you text her again?
- 7:40Speaker 7: I did. I'm always texting back just chilly little updates
- 7:44Speaker 7: or like I'm thinking about her, I'm texting her and
- 7:47Speaker 7: I'm not getting I'm not getting those things back.
- 7:50Speaker 1: But what are your updates?
- 7:52Speaker 3: Because I went on a few dates with a guy
- 7:54Speaker 3: that was sending me like an outline of his day,
- 7:56Speaker 3: but none of it was asking me about me and
- 7:58Speaker 3: how my day was going, and there was no need
- 8:00Speaker 3: to respond. Are your text giving a warrant for a response?
- 8:04Speaker 5: Oh?
- 8:05Speaker 7: Absolutely. I'm telling her like what I'm doing. I'm telling
- 8:08Speaker 7: her about work, I'm telling her.
- 8:09Speaker 1: About like my chilly social life.
- 8:12Speaker 7: But then I'm always opening the door for like how's
- 8:15Speaker 7: your day, What was the best part of your day?
- 8:17Speaker 7: What was the worst part of your day? Like opening
- 8:19Speaker 7: the conversation up.
- 8:20Speaker 4: She sounds like the bad guy.
- 8:21Speaker 1: I know she does it. She will text differently. Do
- 8:25Speaker 1: you all? How are your phone conversations awesome?
- 8:28Speaker 7: That's the thing, Like when we talk on the phone,
- 8:30Speaker 7: we could like talk four hours like we could talk.
- 8:33Speaker 1: It's so easy if you have good phone calls, just
- 8:36Speaker 1: pick up the damn phone and call her. Also valid,
- 8:40Speaker 1: thank you, Hey, Jesus.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Do you know how much translation gets lost in freaking text?
- 8:48Speaker 1: Nobody's a good texter. Or just pick up the phone
- 8:51Speaker 1: and call her. You're not wrong there you go.
- 8:56Speaker 3: Call the show Hate three three five I one bamas number.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Have you ever lost.
- 9:02Speaker 3: A relationship over stupid texting?
- 9:05Speaker 1: Things?
- 9:06Speaker 4: Like?
- 9:06Speaker 3: What gives you the biggest ick when you're dating somebody
- 9:09Speaker 3: new and they text you something that you don't like.
- 9:12Speaker 2: You're listening to the Alabama Show.
- 9:14Speaker 1: The following program is on demand.
- 9:17Speaker 3: Jason is upset because he started dating a new girl
- 9:20Speaker 3: and she doesn't text him back every single day right away.
- 9:24Speaker 3: Sometimes she goes two days without texting. Call the show
- 9:27Speaker 3: if you have advice. Eight three three five O one
- 9:29Speaker 3: BAMA is the number. Amanda, Good morning, Where are you
- 9:32Speaker 3: calling from?
- 9:33Speaker 1: I'm calling from Koleira awsome. What's going on in Klera today?
- 9:38Speaker 6: Traffic? You know, instruction from the expansion?
- 9:42Speaker 1: Yeah, everybody, Yeah, that sounds about right. Okay, Amanda, are
- 9:47Speaker 1: you calling about the texting?
- 9:49Speaker 6: I am personally I'm a bad texter. I hate texting.
- 9:55Speaker 6: I don't like texting, and I'm really really bad about
- 9:59Speaker 6: reading a message and forgetting to respond. And even if
- 10:03Speaker 6: you double takes me, I'll read it and then I'll
- 10:05Speaker 6: get back to them later and it could still be
- 10:07Speaker 6: like two three days And it's not yes, intentional, I.
- 10:11Speaker 5: Just I don't like texting.
- 10:13Speaker 6: I feel like it's what teenagers do when as an adult,
- 10:16Speaker 6: I just have too much going on.
- 10:17Speaker 3: Yes, And if you are a grown man trying to
- 10:20Speaker 3: date an adult woman, pick up the phone and call her.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Texting is stupid.
- 10:25Speaker 3: You read it in your own own anyway, somebody may
- 10:28Speaker 3: text you.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Something and it's meant as a joke and you read
- 10:30Speaker 1: it as an insult.
- 10:31Speaker 4: Then how do you communicate?
- 10:33Speaker 1: You call her she's.
- 10:35Speaker 4: Got work, How am I supposed to call?
- 10:36Speaker 3: Wait until she gets off work and pick up the
- 10:39Speaker 3: phone and make a phone call. If you don't have
- 10:41Speaker 3: time to make an actual phone conversation, you don't need
- 10:44Speaker 3: to be dating.
- 10:44Speaker 6: And if she doesn't answer, just leave a voicemail saying, hey,
- 10:47Speaker 6: give me a call whenever you have a chance. I'd
- 10:49Speaker 6: love to talk to you and catch up.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Absolutely, Amanda, I agree with you. Thank you, thanks for calling.
- 10:54Speaker 3: He needed to hear that. The guy that just called
- 10:56Speaker 3: that's mad about the girl.
- 10:58Speaker 1: He needed to hear your call. Thank you.
- 11:00Speaker 6: Yeah, for sure. Thanks, have a good day.
- 11:02Speaker 2: The Alabama Show on demand's free on the iHeartRadio app.
- 11:05Speaker 3: We were asking what's your biggest ick when you first
- 11:09Speaker 3: start dating somebody? In texting? And you can always comment
- 11:12Speaker 3: on The Alabama Show. We're on Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, everywhere,
- 11:16Speaker 3: Crystal said, long replies when the other person clearly is
- 11:19Speaker 3: on social media. I think that means they're waiting to reply,
- 11:22Speaker 3: but you see them still post on Facebook.
- 11:24Speaker 4: That is so irritating. That mean it feels like you're
- 11:27Speaker 4: just trying to ignore me.
- 11:28Speaker 3: Oh yeah, eight three three five one Bama is the
- 11:30Speaker 3: number to call the show to share yours, Caitlin said,
- 11:33Speaker 3: And I hate this one and somebody has done this
- 11:35Speaker 3: to me and because they don't mean it, using pet names.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Like baby, babe, sweetie.
- 11:42Speaker 3: In every single message, when we just matched and it
- 11:44Speaker 3: only seemed like three messages.
- 11:46Speaker 4: No, that's a like dated, like when you're a fish flag. Well, yes,
- 11:49Speaker 4: that's an official thing. You don't do that before you
- 11:52Speaker 4: do like shut up, set the date.
- 11:54Speaker 1: That's a love bomber. I have had somebody call me
- 11:57Speaker 1: babe after only going.
- 11:58Speaker 3: On one date and I was like, ooh that, what's
- 12:01Speaker 3: your biggest ick when you're texting somebody that you just
- 12:03Speaker 3: started dating?
- 12:04Speaker 1: Eight three three five oh one. Bama is the number.
- 12:07Speaker 2: There's three things you need to know you with the
- 12:10Speaker 2: Elemma Show.
- 12:11Speaker 3: If you're looking for things to do tonight, there's a
- 12:13Speaker 3: lot of concerts going on around Birmingham. Brother Cain will
- 12:16Speaker 3: be performing at Iron City Treaty Oak Revival at the
- 12:20Speaker 3: Coca Cola Amphitheater. Eat a Peach It's an Allman Brothers
- 12:23Speaker 3: tribute band at Avondel Brewing. Also willis Allan.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Ramsey at Woodlawn Theater.
- 12:31Speaker 3: There's a lot of stuff going on, so if you
- 12:33Speaker 3: plan on getting out tonight, go have fun.
- 12:36Speaker 1: All those concerts will be good.
- 12:38Speaker 3: AMC Theaters just announced new menu items and they look
- 12:41Speaker 3: really good. There's a Hot Honey Sausage, pizza del pickle
- 12:45Speaker 3: pretzels in bites or a full sized pretzel, popcorn chicken
- 12:49Speaker 3: and street corn poppers.
- 12:51Speaker 1: They're also selling.
- 12:52Speaker 3: Right now out house shaped popcorn buckets to celebrate the
- 12:56Speaker 3: twenty fifth anniversary of Shrek, which also will be starting
- 12:59Speaker 3: to air the starting today. So if you plan on
- 13:02Speaker 3: going to the movies this weekend, there's a lot of
- 13:04Speaker 3: new good movies out or you go see Shrek. Britney Spears,
- 13:08Speaker 3: have you seen the report that she was causing a
- 13:10Speaker 3: scene at a restaurant waving a knife around and barking
- 13:13Speaker 3: like a dog.
- 13:14Speaker 4: I've not seen this. No, I don't know how I
- 13:16Speaker 4: missed that.
- 13:16Speaker 1: This report came out yesterday.
- 13:18Speaker 3: There was an entertainment journalist sitting at the restaurant and
- 13:22Speaker 3: said that all the guests feared for their life and
- 13:25Speaker 3: tweeted about it and said it was the whole thing.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Well, Britney Spears' is rhtt spoke out yesterday.
- 13:30Speaker 3: Afternoon to people and he said this was completely blown
- 13:34Speaker 3: out of proportion. She was having dinner with her assistant
- 13:36Speaker 3: and bodyguard and she was telling a story about her
- 13:39Speaker 3: dog barking at the neighbor and cutting her hamburger in half.
- 13:45Speaker 1: They said that.
- 13:47Speaker 3: This is what happened twenty years ago when the media
- 13:50Speaker 3: was trying to make Britney look crazy and that it
- 13:52Speaker 3: needs to stop.
- 13:54Speaker 1: It does need to stop.
- 13:55Speaker 4: I need to know both sides of this situation.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Fully, I need a video.
- 13:58Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, yeah, full of this.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Situation video so we can. But it does make sense.
- 14:03Speaker 3: I mean, Brittany, if you follow her Instagram, I could
- 14:06Speaker 3: see how she would be telling a story about her
- 14:08Speaker 3: dog and she would start barking, and I could see
- 14:11Speaker 3: how if their table is close to her that they
- 14:13Speaker 3: look at her like.
- 14:14Speaker 1: What has happened?
- 14:15Speaker 4: And she's a little animated. So there you go.
- 14:18Speaker 1: That's three things you need to know.
- 14:19Speaker 3: More at the Alabama Show dot Com, we were listening
- 14:24Speaker 3: to the Alabama Show on demand.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Me me, good morning. Do you have a what's awesome? Yes?
- 14:29Speaker 5: I do? I have a really good with alt time.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Okay, what's your good news?
- 14:33Speaker 5: So my husband was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer
- 14:37Speaker 5: a year and three months ago. Okay, and yesterday we
- 14:40Speaker 5: just got gaman from his brain and long and there's
- 14:44Speaker 5: no sign to care.
- 14:45Speaker 3: Yeah, girl, that is amazing. Oh my gosh, how hard
- 14:52Speaker 3: did you cry when you got that news yesterday?
- 14:55Speaker 5: It was definitely surreal. We're just so thankful.
- 14:57Speaker 1: So does he have to do anything else now? Like,
- 15:00Speaker 1: is he good? No more meds? No more? Is it
- 15:02Speaker 1: just like follow ups or what.
- 15:05Speaker 5: He's taking a pill every day that is like a
- 15:07Speaker 5: chemokill just to keep the cancerer coming back. Okay, but
- 15:11Speaker 5: it didn't really have any bad side effects. And then
- 15:13Speaker 5: he'll get scans every three to four months. But he
- 15:16Speaker 5: feels good and we're just so blessed and thankful.
- 15:19Speaker 3: The unsung heroes are the spouses that do everything to
- 15:24Speaker 3: take care of their spouses. Like I'm sure you've driven
- 15:27Speaker 3: him to appointments, you've helped him when he's sick, you
- 15:30Speaker 3: cook the things, and I know that has been hard
- 15:33Speaker 3: and scary on you too. So if nobody has told
- 15:36Speaker 3: you today you're awesome, you are awesome.
- 15:38Speaker 5: I appreciate that. And we have a three year old
- 15:41Speaker 5: and nine year old boy, so it's been a journey.
- 15:44Speaker 5: But we're so so blessed.
- 15:45Speaker 3: That is great. Thank you so much for sharing. I'm
- 15:48Speaker 3: so happy for y'all.
- 15:50Speaker 5: Of course, thank you.
- 15:51Speaker 2: The Alabama show Fun to Men's Amazing free on the
- 15:54Speaker 2: iHeartRadio app.

- 16:18Speaker 3: her class was a whole. She teaches second graders, a
- 16:24Speaker 3: kind of a rough scoll and she wanted me to
- 16:27Speaker 3: go in and talk about my job, and we did
- 16:30Speaker 3: a fake like radio show.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Well, I go in. Those kids are feral. As soon
- 16:35Speaker 1: as I walk in, they go, are you her mother?

- 16:58Speaker 1: And then I said I'm Alabama. They're like wo.

- 17:04Speaker 3: make it ye're doing that.
- 17:06Speaker 1: I was like, none of your business, buddy, and then
- 17:11Speaker 1: they go, oh, they said so much. I have a

- 17:28Speaker 1: They were like, I was like trying to do show
- 17:31Speaker 1: stuff that we do.
- 17:32Speaker 3: So I said, one of the things we do on

- 17:38Speaker 3: I'm new to your classroom right now, what's three things
- 17:41Speaker 3: I need to know about your class? And the trouble

- 17:49Speaker 3: to say my little cousin's last name.
- 17:51Speaker 1: If you don't say what Miss Hennis says, you go
- 17:53Speaker 1: to the office and if you do this, you get
