- 0:00Speaker 1: Uh, we had, we got a save the date for
- 0:02Speaker 1: a friend of ours for a wedding coming up in
- 0:04Speaker 1: April of next year. Oh, okay. My niece is getting
- 0:07Speaker 1: married in two weeks in Virginia. We're going to that.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Is that a big wedding?
- 0:11Speaker 1: That's going to be, uh, apparently for my sister, uh,
- 0:14Speaker 1: it's going to be a pretty big should do. Is
- 0:17Speaker 1: it should do? No. Um, she bang, she bang.
- 0:21Speaker 2: She bangs to do.
- 0:21Speaker 1: It's a pretty big.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 0:23Speaker 2: To do. There you go.
- 0:24Speaker 1: You got it. Three skidoo.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Back in the twenties, they would say that a little rascals.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Of course you do. But yeah, so that's happening Columbus
- 0:31Speaker 1: Day weekend.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Oh, I'm sorry. Yeah, because I was going to ask
- 0:34Speaker 2: you what type of venue?
- 0:36Speaker 1: It's one of those over-the-top ones, I think.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 0:38Speaker 1: Yeah. Again, it's in Virginia, so I don't know too
- 0:40Speaker 1: much about it. But I know there's a lot of
- 0:42Speaker 1: tables and all that.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Just because there's trends right now, especially for 2027, and
- 0:49Speaker 2: the wedding venues, people are going for unconventional venues. They're
- 0:53Speaker 2: skipping traditional ones and hosting their wedding parties.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Like in a shed?
- 0:57Speaker 2: Beach clubs. A shed would work for us. Beach clubs, townhomes,
- 1:01Speaker 2: sports arenas, and spas. I think only Taylor did a
- 1:04Speaker 2: sports arena. Well, a sports arena, yeah. And spas. Okay.
- 1:08Speaker 2: I don't know. So, yeah, I was just wondering.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Some more low-key?
- 1:10Speaker 2: Like, no, but different, unconventional. Like, not a wedding hall.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Do you know what I mean? Like, people are looking
- 1:16Speaker 2: for something different.
- 1:16Speaker 1: And that's where I think my niece is having it,
- 1:18Speaker 1: at a banquet hall. Okay. So, something you, it's not
- 1:21Speaker 1: necessarily downplaying it, but like you said, it's unusual.
- 1:24Speaker 2: It's just different.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Maybe, like, I don't know, at Urban Air.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:30Speaker 2: And then sophisticated colors are definitely going to be in.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Bold color palettes, shades of merlot, plum, moss greens, powdery
- 1:38Speaker 2: blue are going to lead the way. Secondary colors like
- 1:41Speaker 2: blush pink and champagne are in. Antique lace. These are
- 1:45Speaker 2: all the wedding trends for 2027. This is what's trending.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Already featured in bridal gowns and veils, the romantic fabric
- 1:51Speaker 2: will be showing up in details like tablescapes and wedding stationery.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Very big year for swans and ballet corps.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Like where? Like in the decorations?
- 2:02Speaker 2: In the aesthetic, Cubby. Yeah, all of it.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Swans and what?
- 2:05Speaker 2: Swans mate for life and they form a heart with
- 2:08Speaker 2: their bodies during courtships.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Oh, like when you go on a cruise and they
- 2:11Speaker 1: make the towels?
- 2:12Speaker 2: Yes.
- 2:13Speaker 1: And they bend the towels and the swans are hugging
- 2:15Speaker 1: each other?
- 2:15Speaker 2: Yes, and they love each other.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Now I got the visual.
- 2:17Speaker 2: It's going to be something like that. Single floral designs
- 2:20Speaker 2: using blooms like hydrangea or wisteria becoming more popular. Flowers
- 2:25Speaker 2: like poppies are also appearing up, appearing in bouquets and
- 2:29Speaker 2: wedding attire. Silver's making a comeback. They said gold is
- 2:32Speaker 2: here to stay, but silver's having a moment. Stationary dinnerware
- 2:36Speaker 2: and accessories.
- 2:36Speaker 1: All right.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Couples who want their guests to feel more at home
- 2:40Speaker 2: are creating wedding spaces that reflect their residences using table lamps,
- 2:45Speaker 2: coffee table books, and menu tassels.
- 2:49Speaker 1: By the way, you can go back and listen to
- 2:50Speaker 1: this on the iHeartRadio app if you didn't catch all
- 2:52Speaker 1: this because.
- 2:53Speaker 2: I'm giving you a lot.
- 2:54Speaker 1: No, but this is great info. If you really want
- 2:56Speaker 1: to Follow this to the T.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Right.
- 2:58Speaker 1: There's a lot going on here.
- 2:59Speaker 2: Right. Pop-up experiences as wedding favors. From fragrance stations to
- 3:05Speaker 2: bouquet bars, brides and grooms are turning wedding favors into
- 3:08Speaker 2: a full experience instead of just throwaway merch. Cultural menus
- 3:13Speaker 2: honoring their cultural roots with food. I always thought that
- 3:16Speaker 2: would be beautiful. Another way for couples to make their
- 3:18Speaker 2: wedding more personal and unique and analog registries. Some couples
- 3:22Speaker 2: are going retro with their registries. opting for items like
- 3:25Speaker 2: old-school cocktail glasses, vintage-style record players, and camcorders, along with
- 3:31Speaker 2: stand mixers, are making a comeback.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Wow.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Okay, so that's for 2027.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Yep.
- 3:36Speaker 1: And the biggest headline out of all that is unconventional location,
- 3:41Speaker 1: not necessarily a banquet hall. That's what I really took
- 3:44Speaker 1: from that.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Okay.
- 3:45Speaker 1: So that's why I made a joke. See, I've been
- 3:46Speaker 1: going to a lot of kids' birthday parties. Like, Producer
- 3:49Speaker 1: Kristen had a birthday party. Was it this year or
- 3:51Speaker 1: last year you had the Rockin' Air? That was this year, right? Yeah.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Kids have birthday parties at Urban Air, Rockin' Air, all
- 3:58Speaker 1: these jumping places. Why can't you get married at one
- 4:01Speaker 1: of those places?
- 4:01Speaker 2: Oh, I see. I didn't know what that was.
- 4:03Speaker 1: It's unconventional. Yeah. But mainly, the kids are... I'm there
- 4:07Speaker 1: all the time. If you're an adult, could you have
- 4:09Speaker 1: your wedding at Urban Air or Jumpin' Jungle or at
- 4:13Speaker 1: any of these kids' places?
- 4:15Speaker 2: Sure, if you ask the kids to clear out for
- 4:16Speaker 2: the day.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Could you do a wedding at Chuck E.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Cheese? I think you could.
- 4:19Speaker 1: How great would that be?
- 4:20Speaker 2: You could do a wedding at White Castle.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Well, yeah, on Valentine's Day. If you had a wedding
- 4:24Speaker 1: at Chuck E. Cheese, you already have a band in place.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Okay.
- 4:28Speaker 1: So these are things I'm thinking of.
- 4:29Speaker 2: I've got a band in mind for you, so yeah.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, I do too. All right, we're coming right
- 4:33Speaker 1: back with more music on Light FM.
