- 0:18Speaker 1: It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh
- 0:22Speaker 1: with us inside the treehouse. I'm Daniel Mallley along with
- 0:25Speaker 1: Trey Trendholm and Raj Sharma. Today is Tuesday, June tenth,
- 0:32Speaker 1: two thousand and one. Five. Trey, welcome back. We missed you.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Miss We are greatly looking forward to hearing about your
- 0:43Speaker 1: epic trip to Albuquerque. But before we hear about that
- 0:48Speaker 1: epic trip to Albuquerque, there was a story that happened
- 0:52Speaker 1: recently that we did not get a chance to get
- 0:55Speaker 1: to last week that I feel needs to be remedied today.
- 1:00Speaker 1: So here we go. A woman in Tyler, a woman
- 1:07Speaker 1: in Tyler, Texas, has been accused of stealing the wig
- 1:10Speaker 1: off a dead body at a funeral home. You know,
- 1:15Speaker 1: times are tough when you're snatching wigs off of corpses.
- 1:24Speaker 2: It's Tyler. Let's just be honest. They're the Florida of Texas. Uh,
- 1:30Speaker 2: that's that's I'm not surpri I did did a girl
- 1:33Speaker 2: from Tyler, so I'm not very surprised.
- 1:36Speaker 1: She missing a wig?
- 1:37Speaker 2: And is she dead? The latter part, yes, gotcha, Oh
- 1:42Speaker 2: she's she's not missing a wig. But it's it's it's
- 1:48Speaker 2: big business if it's real human hair. Like that's really
- 1:52Speaker 2: people don't realize, like especially guys, like how much those
- 1:55Speaker 2: things go for. Yeah, you'll see like Indian hair.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Oh really?
- 2:02Speaker 2: Oh yeah yeah.
- 2:03Speaker 1: I guess if you're hard on your luck and you've
- 2:06Speaker 1: got six months to a year to to plan out
- 2:11Speaker 1: your payday.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Even if you get arrested and they give you time,
- 2:15Speaker 2: you're like, sounds good, like all right, perfect joke's on
- 2:19Speaker 2: you and she's not using it. That is kind of fair,
- 2:25Speaker 2: Like was it mid service? That's the thing, Like that
- 2:30Speaker 2: would be the disrespectful part.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Near the end of May, a funeral director reported to
- 2:37Speaker 1: police that someone had taken a wig off a body.
- 2:41Speaker 1: The director said Tanya Annette Boyd, who's fifty five, had
- 2:45Speaker 1: come in had come into a preparation area the day
- 2:49Speaker 1: before and stolen the hair. An officer with the Tyler
- 2:54Speaker 1: Police Department spoke with the director, who said an employee
- 2:56Speaker 1: had seen Boyd leaving the garage that connects to the
- 3:00Speaker 1: restricted prep room with a reddish brown wig in her hand.
- 3:04Speaker 1: The director said they realized one was missing from a
- 3:07Speaker 1: body the next day. I'm sorry, but if you see
- 3:11Speaker 1: someone leaving your facility with hair in hand, don't you
- 3:15Speaker 1: go look around?
- 3:17Speaker 2: Yeah, from they're leaving the restricted area.
- 3:24Speaker 3: If you're gonna steal a wig, put it on. That's
- 3:27Speaker 3: a disguise.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Brilliant. I mean.
- 3:35Speaker 2: I came in with this, Yeah, from Trey's new book
- 3:41Speaker 2: how to Steal a Wig in Tyler. Yes, uh, Indian
- 3:46Speaker 2: hair like it depends, like I'm saying, like, if it's
- 3:48Speaker 2: real human error, those things are like several hundred dollars.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Well, those are some of the most common retail shops
- 3:56Speaker 1: that get knocked over. Are the hair spots, the ones
- 4:02Speaker 1: that have the human hair in the window.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Oh.
- 4:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:05Speaker 2: I had a very I won't say her name, but
- 4:07Speaker 2: a very famous black female comedian who I was working with,
- 4:11Speaker 2: and at one point leaned over and said, are you Indian?
- 4:15Speaker 2: I said yes, and she goes, I want to And
- 4:16Speaker 2: she wasn't kidding. She's like, I want to have a
- 4:18Speaker 2: baby with you because I want my child to have
- 4:21Speaker 2: good hair. And she went as far as like I
- 4:23Speaker 2: will have papers like drawn up. You don't have to
- 4:26Speaker 2: take care of this child. You don't have to claim
- 4:28Speaker 2: this child. We just have to get me pregnant, and
- 4:32Speaker 2: I just want to make sure that that kid has
- 4:34Speaker 2: good Indian hair. There was a temple in India where
- 4:38Speaker 2: people go like on a pilgrimage and at the end
- 4:41Speaker 2: they all shave their head and the temple got busted
- 4:44Speaker 2: because they were selling it to wig makers.
- 4:48Speaker 1: I'm not as concerned with the temple as i am
- 4:51Speaker 1: this contract.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Yeah, that was a very real situation that were you
- 4:56Speaker 2: going to get a stud fee? I didn't even think
- 5:00Speaker 2: to ask. I think there was something some talk of
- 5:03Speaker 2: some sort of payment. I mean, but yeah, I mean
- 5:06Speaker 2: it was very much.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Uh, if horses can get it, you should too, raj.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I've never looked at myself that way.
- 5:16Speaker 1: In the horse.
- 5:19Speaker 3: Wigs can go into the thousands. I mean, oh yeah,
- 5:22Speaker 3: women pay hundreds, if not thousands, just for extensions.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:27Speaker 1: I think this most recent Kentucky Derby. I believe every
- 5:32Speaker 1: I believe every horse in the most recent Kentucky Derby
- 5:35Speaker 1: was offspring of secretariat. That could be U raj for
- 5:40Speaker 1: the wig community.
- 5:44Speaker 2: I think in the whig community they're just called deadbeat dads. No.
- 5:49Speaker 1: I mean you could have women walking around very fancy places. Hey,
- 5:54Speaker 1: where'd you get that? Oh this is a raj?
- 5:56Speaker 2: Oh yeah that'd be nice. Okay, But like she wants
- 6:02Speaker 2: she and she was very like, I would like to
- 6:04Speaker 2: have a son with very with very nice hair. And
- 6:07Speaker 2: I don't know how you predict that, you can predict
- 6:10Speaker 2: the gender, but she was very very keen on having
- 6:14Speaker 2: a son with good hair. So I mean, I would
- 6:18Speaker 2: like to see, like you know, eighteen nineteen years later,
- 6:20Speaker 2: like the first half black, half Indian kid to win
- 6:23Speaker 2: the Slam Dunk contest, Like that would be something I
- 6:25Speaker 2: could be proud of.
- 6:26Speaker 1: With amazing flowing locks, just floating and floating from the
- 6:32Speaker 1: three point line.
- 6:33Speaker 2: That's that's the one thing that keeps him from getting
- 6:36Speaker 2: all the air so much.
- 6:37Speaker 1: No, that's probably the thing that might be his secret.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Like with Jordan and the Shushal logo, there's no hair,
- 6:42Speaker 1: it's just a bald head. Your logo be similar, but
- 6:45Speaker 1: with beautiful flowing locks trailing behind you like Yanni Nba Rody.
- 7:03Speaker 4: You're listening to the Treehouse.
- 7:06Speaker 5: Visit us online that Treehouse on air dot com.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Let's get Daniel Cook from Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration

- 7:17Speaker 1: eight three three cook DFW. The website cookdfw dot com.
- 7:22Speaker 1: People laugh when I say this, but it is possible
- 7:24Speaker 1: for excessive heat to negatively affect your roof, sort of
- 7:29Speaker 1: like roof melt, not exactly like Joan River's face near
- 7:33Speaker 1: the end, but still the heat can really hurt your roof, right.
- 7:36Speaker 6: Dan, your roofing shingles. We've been on a roof and
- 7:40Speaker 6: took a digital thermometer one of those that you can scan,
- 7:45Speaker 6: and we've been on roofs at our one hundred and
- 7:47Speaker 6: forty degrees. So yes, roofs can get very very hot.
- 7:52Speaker 6: The adhesive that they use is a liquid adhesive, and
- 7:56Speaker 6: there have been cases where we have gone out on
- 7:59Speaker 6: roofs and you can see the liquid adhesive melting and
- 8:02Speaker 6: dripping down the shingles.
- 8:04Speaker 3: Because it's just gotten hot.
- 8:05Speaker 6: And unfortunately that is a byproduct of the heat that
- 8:10Speaker 6: we have.
- 8:11Speaker 3: Now you know the heat that we have.
- 8:13Speaker 6: A proper installation, a proper adhesion, proper addic ventilation, proper
- 8:19Speaker 6: intake of air, all those are super important. So those
- 8:22Speaker 6: are other things that we look at when we come
- 8:23Speaker 6: out and look at your roof and your home. So
- 8:26Speaker 6: it's not just about your roof, it's about the overall
- 8:28Speaker 6: integrity that your house has.
- 8:30Speaker 3: So give us a shout. We led come out.
- 8:32Speaker 6: We can educate you and see if you have any

- 9:35Speaker 1: along with Trey Trenholm and Raj Sharma. Today is Tuesday,
- 9:38Speaker 1: June tenth, two. Thy twenty five Tray is back from
- 9:41Speaker 1: his epic trip to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Tray, how was
- 9:46Speaker 1: your epic trip to Albuquerque?
- 9:49Speaker 3: Anything but epic?
- 9:52Speaker 1: What's that's so shocking?
- 9:56Speaker 3: Yeah, so things I learned. You know, just because something's
- 10:02Speaker 3: on pay per view, it's it's not it doesn't necessarily
- 10:07Speaker 3: mean because in my mind, when you know, you fight
- 10:10Speaker 3: pay per view, you think something big, you know, with
- 10:17Speaker 3: a lot of.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Pomp and circumstance, and you got, yeah in the ring.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Big talent, big name talents, because because you have to
- 10:26Speaker 1: have that in order to get a pay per view draw.
- 10:29Speaker 3: Right, you know, After which I remembered that the early
- 10:34Speaker 3: days of UFC, the the you know, all pay per
- 10:37Speaker 3: views weren't weren't great, and and so so is this
- 10:40Speaker 3: with the uh Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. I can see that,
- 10:47Speaker 3: I can see where people like it. I can see
- 10:48Speaker 3: that it's an it is a has a lot of
- 10:51Speaker 3: potential and why you know, people like Connor McGregor are
- 10:53Speaker 3: deeply invested in it. Uh it's kind of brutal, but uh,
- 10:59Speaker 3: you know, it's kind of like if how can I
- 11:07Speaker 3: describe that the whole fight? If someone said they were
- 11:09Speaker 3: taking you shopping, and like you were gonna go on
- 11:13Speaker 3: this great shopping trip, You're thinking, like they're going to
- 11:15Speaker 3: take you if you're in Dallas, like the Galleria or
- 11:17Speaker 3: North Park and you got Town East.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Or Redbird, We're the only good story.
- 11:29Speaker 3: It was like if you were taking to a wrestling
- 11:32Speaker 3: event and and you know you I thought you were
- 11:36Speaker 3: going to American Airline Center or even at and T
- 11:39Speaker 3: H and you know you got back in the day
- 11:43Speaker 3: of the sportatorium.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Or like somebody's high school gym.
- 11:48Speaker 3: So there there was a reference that Randy, the guy
- 11:52Speaker 3: I'm working for that went out there with he's from
- 11:54Speaker 3: East Texas, and I said, this reminds me of especially
- 11:58Speaker 3: if you're in a small town in East Texas, whatever
- 12:01Speaker 3: the wrestling circuits would come by, what they would travel around,
- 12:05Speaker 3: and they'd usually have like one decent name and then
- 12:07Speaker 3: a bunch of no names and they would do a
- 12:09Speaker 3: wrestling wrestling matches in your high school gym. Yeah, that's
- 12:13Speaker 3: was the equivalent of this.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Yes, I have been I have been to many of
- 12:19Speaker 2: vfw's uh To uh To to see some some friends
- 12:23Speaker 2: wrestle back in the day when they were getting started,
- 12:26Speaker 2: and that was the highlight of that town. I remember
- 12:30Speaker 2: going to the VFW and there was a dollar hot
- 12:34Speaker 2: dog and I was like, I'm home wrestling and cheap
- 12:38Speaker 2: hot dogs.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Yeah, So Trey. You flew to Albuquerque for a bare
- 12:44Speaker 1: knuckle fighting championship match or number a whole event pay
- 12:49Speaker 1: per view, the whole pay per view event. Okay, you
- 12:55Speaker 1: said it was pretty brutal, and I'm sorry. I'm sure
- 12:57Speaker 1: that these are some very skilled fighters. But whenever I
- 12:59Speaker 1: think of bare knuckle fighting or guys fighting with fists,
- 13:03Speaker 1: I always think of there's got to be at least
- 13:05Speaker 1: a few that don't land right, and you basically just
- 13:08Speaker 1: see a bunch of broken fingers and wrist because it,
- 13:11Speaker 1: you know, it just gets.
- 13:12Speaker 7: It's bare knuckle.
- 13:12Speaker 1: You don't have that pad mm hmm. So I kind
- 13:16Speaker 1: of imagined a bunch of guys like like taking swings
- 13:19Speaker 1: and going like shaking it off on their hand.
- 13:24Speaker 3: No, I mean clearly that's their hands. You know, they
- 13:28Speaker 3: have a little bit of tape around them, not on
- 13:30Speaker 3: the knuckles. But I was telling Rash beforehand. It also,
- 13:36Speaker 3: if you've ever been to a wrestling event, they have
- 13:38Speaker 3: what do they call they call the dark matches, which
- 13:40Speaker 3: are the matches that aren't televised. They're filler mm hmm. Okay,
- 13:46Speaker 3: this this this. If there were six events, four of
- 13:48Speaker 3: them were basically the equivalent of Dark Matches and there
- 13:50Speaker 3: were two that that were that were decent. And then
- 13:54Speaker 3: as I started looking more into it, you know, obviously
- 13:56Speaker 3: like they've got an event coming up in a couple
- 13:58Speaker 3: of weeks at Dickey's Arena and Fort Worth that's gonna
- 14:00Speaker 3: be a much bigger deal. And then you can watch
- 14:02Speaker 3: some of the clips and you say, Okay, those are
- 14:04Speaker 3: the good fighters.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Yeah. You know, I will say this when when you
- 14:08Speaker 1: say dark Matches, I feel like that's half the action
- 14:12Speaker 1: movies I watched as a kid, starring like dark Match
- 14:15Speaker 1: starring Jean Claude Van Dame was just another name for
- 14:18Speaker 1: his movie Lionheart. Circle up the cars with the headlights
- 14:21Speaker 1: and just punch the crap out of each other.
- 14:24Speaker 3: No no, and wrestling like the Dark Matches are basically
- 14:27Speaker 3: the people you've never heard of that they're they're hoping
- 14:30Speaker 3: to get a break, but a lot of them never
- 14:32Speaker 3: will and it's just yeah, they're just.
- 14:35Speaker 1: They are they doing it for the love.
- 14:40Speaker 3: I mean that some of these fighters, you know, some
- 14:44Speaker 3: of them they look like obviously, yeah, they really trained
- 14:46Speaker 3: for it. Some of them look like they either just
- 14:47Speaker 3: got out of prison or they just got jerked off
- 14:49Speaker 3: a barstool. And like, hey, you like to fight. I
- 14:53Speaker 3: mean there was one guy. I swear to.
- 14:56Speaker 2: God, are you glad he finished that sentence too too?
- 14:59Speaker 1: Yeah, jerked off on a bar stool. Oh okay, okay,
- 15:04Speaker 1: well I could. I could see how you could get
- 15:05Speaker 1: ready for one of those fights is you start, you
- 15:08Speaker 1: start to do that, but you don't let him finish,
- 15:10Speaker 1: and then you say, all right, now go fight now
- 15:12Speaker 1: you're ready. If you win, you come back and will
- 15:17Speaker 1: finish you off with his barstool.
- 15:21Speaker 2: That's the payment.
- 15:24Speaker 3: So yeah, there was one guy.
- 15:26Speaker 1: I mean he I a bare knuckle tournament.
- 15:31Speaker 3: I'm sorry, Oh no, there was there was one guy,
- 15:33Speaker 3: and he evidently was a last minute fill in. And
- 15:38Speaker 3: this guy he took a five So there are two
- 15:44Speaker 3: minute rounds and they go five rounds in this competition.
- 15:48Speaker 3: He took a ten minute ass whooping and he never
- 15:51Speaker 3: went down. It was like, damn dude, this, I mean
- 15:54Speaker 3: it was at some point it was brutal. Like there
- 15:57Speaker 3: was one guy. I couldn't get a good picture of him.
- 15:59Speaker 3: His nose look like a z mm hm.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's uh.
- 16:08Speaker 1: And that we're curious that like I would want to
- 16:10Speaker 1: go to one of these because I feel like i'd
- 16:12Speaker 1: be watching blood Sport live you are.
- 16:15Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what it is.
- 16:17Speaker 3: I mean, it's like I said, I understand as things
- 16:22Speaker 3: get more brutal there that there is a appetite for this,
- 16:25Speaker 3: uh in general, probably a little now. Some of the
- 16:29Speaker 3: matches were exactly kind of what you would think. They
- 16:31Speaker 3: go out there and they're knocking the crap out of
- 16:32Speaker 3: each other, and somebody gets knocked out within the first
- 16:35Speaker 3: round and all right. But the ones that went especially,
- 16:40Speaker 3: they went three rounds or more and they're they're bloody.
- 16:45Speaker 3: But yeah, they come down working for three coin. They
- 16:47Speaker 3: sponsored the guy and the and the title bout.
- 16:50Speaker 7: Uh.
- 16:50Speaker 3: He lost, but he took the champion to five rounds,
- 16:54Speaker 3: but only the second person to do that. Uh. And yeah,
- 16:58Speaker 3: those guys, those guys were skilled. I mean they obviously
- 17:01Speaker 3: came from boxing m M A backgrounds uh and and
- 17:05Speaker 3: were you could tell trained fighters, and it was it
- 17:08Speaker 3: was a good match. It was very interesting to watch
- 17:10Speaker 3: some of the other ones. Man, they they were just
- 17:13Speaker 3: I I if I, you know, put a ring in
- 17:16Speaker 3: some of the bars I've worked at in the past,
- 17:18Speaker 3: you know, I could have, you know, and a camera,
- 17:21Speaker 3: you could recreate this. None of them are gonna last Yeah,
- 17:26Speaker 3: more than a round.
- 17:26Speaker 2: But I like the guy that was I like the
- 17:28Speaker 2: guy that was the last minute filling. I'm just in
- 17:30Speaker 2: my head. It's like the guys like showing up like
- 17:34Speaker 2: to the Was it an arena or was it? Was
- 17:36Speaker 2: it the Albuquerque Civic Center?
- 17:39Speaker 3: Do you remember? Do you remember the old Mesquite Rodeo arena?
- 17:44Speaker 2: I do?
- 17:45Speaker 3: Okay, if that gives you an image of what what
- 17:48Speaker 3: what it was like there, you go, okay.
- 17:51Speaker 1: I was wondering if it was at like like some
- 17:53Speaker 1: sort of community center. And then across the hall they
- 17:55Speaker 1: were doing an AA meeting.
- 17:57Speaker 3: Well, so there there is a whole fair ground.
- 18:00Speaker 1: And they're in a shared snack area.
- 18:06Speaker 3: Free coffee and donuts.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Donuts are for winners.

- 19:01Speaker 1: twenty twenty five. Trey was just filling us in on
- 19:04Speaker 1: his epic trip to Albertquerque, where he got to witness
- 19:08Speaker 1: his very first live and in person bare knuckle fisting tournament.
- 19:12Speaker 1: I'm sorry fighting that would be I think that's the
- 19:17Speaker 1: next night.
- 19:19Speaker 2: You don't want eight ounce gloves and a fisting content.
- 19:23Speaker 1: That's that's that's at the other end of the hall,
- 19:26Speaker 1: away from the tournament and the AA meeting. That's where
- 19:29Speaker 1: Allan I was, So, is there any other meat left
- 19:34Speaker 1: on this bare knuckle fighting tournament? Trey?
- 19:38Speaker 3: I mean the one guy, the one guy that was
- 19:40Speaker 3: a fill and like I was, I was like, I'd
- 19:43Speaker 3: actually want to see that guy fight if he had
- 19:44Speaker 3: had a full time to train, because he was by
- 19:47Speaker 3: far and away the toughest guy I've ever seen. I mean,
- 19:50Speaker 3: he took a beating and just kept coming back for more.
- 19:53Speaker 3: And uh, yeah, I don't know. It was, like I said,
- 19:59Speaker 3: there were parts of it that we're I can see
- 20:01Speaker 3: what the draw is. Parts of it we're just a
- 20:03Speaker 3: little more brutal than uh for my taste, But you know,
- 20:08Speaker 3: teach their own. But but I can see what I
- 20:12Speaker 3: can see why what the draw is and then why
- 20:17Speaker 3: people like it, and especially I mean like power slap,
- 20:21Speaker 3: the Dana White's new thing, you know, and how fast
- 20:23Speaker 3: it's growing just you know, it seems I hate to
- 20:29Speaker 3: say it, but we keep getting more and more into
- 20:31Speaker 3: gladiator sports.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Well, I think you brought up a solid point, which is,
- 20:35Speaker 1: as we keep doing these sports, we're needing more and
- 20:40Speaker 1: more and more brutality to sort of wet that appetite. Right,
- 20:44Speaker 1: So we are absolutely going backwards while going forward in time.
- 20:48Speaker 1: We're going backwards through the gladiatorial days where it's like
- 20:51Speaker 1: give me the blood and I'm I'm kind of here
- 20:54Speaker 1: for it. I And in some places it's not enough.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Like already in Russia they're light years ahead of the
- 21:00Speaker 1: United States in these combat sports. They were doing car
- 21:03Speaker 1: jiu jitsu before anyone in Vegas was. They were doing
- 21:07Speaker 1: the bare knuckle boxing stuff, you know, probably twenty thirty
- 21:11Speaker 1: years ago, so much so that their current league doesn't
- 21:14Speaker 1: just do it in a ring. Russia's version of bare
- 21:16Speaker 1: knuckle boxing happens on top of shipping containers over bodies
- 21:21Speaker 1: of water that are suspended I.
- 21:23Speaker 3: Mean, first of all, the Gypsies would like a word
- 21:25Speaker 3: with you.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Yes, yes, and also alogies, also drunks in England. Yeah,
- 21:32Speaker 2: I would like to have a conversation.
- 21:34Speaker 3: Well those are kind of go hand in hand. But
- 21:37Speaker 3: I mean, I honestly, I'm surprised Tyson Fury hasn't gotten
- 21:39Speaker 3: behind this sport because that's his background, just gypsy be
- 21:46Speaker 3: bare knuckle fighting.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I want to to remake Over the Top with
- 21:52Speaker 2: the slap fighting. If they remade that movie where's he's
- 21:58Speaker 2: driving cross country in his rig ten slap fight contents,
- 22:03Speaker 2: I'd get behind that movie.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Did I ever tell you guys? Was that the movie
- 22:08Speaker 1: that trying to remember was over the Top? The movie
- 22:15Speaker 1: his so Sylvester Stallone's son. Was it that movie that
- 22:19Speaker 1: he got caught with, like Scorpions Or is that a
- 22:21Speaker 1: separate movie with the same actor kid.
- 22:25Speaker 2: Like the band Scorpions or actual Scorpions.
- 22:27Speaker 1: No, like the Big Black King Scorpions. I think it's
- 22:31Speaker 1: a different movie. I'll look that up for another day,
- 22:33Speaker 1: same actor kid, but a different film.
- 22:35Speaker 2: Yeah, but Stallone was still in it. No.
- 22:40Speaker 1: What I think I'm doing is I think I'm remembering
- 22:42Speaker 1: the kid who played Stallone's kid in Over the Top,
- 22:47Speaker 1: but I'm remembering a scene that he was in in
- 22:49Speaker 1: a different movie with scorpions. I feel like a scene
- 22:52Speaker 1: where he falls into a pit with scorpions would have
- 22:54Speaker 1: been too much for the Over the Top plot.
- 22:57Speaker 2: Yeah. My version is it's it's the same thing. It's
- 23:00Speaker 2: still Stallone, it's still the same rig, and it's still
- 23:02Speaker 2: the same kid but grown up. And all he does
- 23:04Speaker 2: is slap the crap out of him the entire time,
- 23:06Speaker 2: just to train as they're driving across.
- 23:09Speaker 1: It's like it's like a It's like a crossover between
- 23:12Speaker 1: Rocky and the Over the Top. Yeah, in power Slap.
- 23:18Speaker 2: Yes, did you ever watch How I Met Your Mother
- 23:20Speaker 2: and the Slap bet?
- 23:21Speaker 3: Oh?
- 23:22Speaker 7: Yes?
- 23:22Speaker 2: Yeah, so that's what the whole movie would be. Like.
- 23:24Speaker 2: You don't know when it's coming, but that kid's about
- 23:26Speaker 2: to get slapped, Like you know, they're at a truck stop,
- 23:29Speaker 2: you know, filling up, they're getting some grub. Kid orders
- 23:32Speaker 2: the wrong thing. Stallone just smacks the crap out of him,
- 23:36Speaker 2: and then they get back in the rig and keep
- 23:38Speaker 2: going like that's a I want to.
- 23:40Speaker 1: And part of training is when they bring out the
- 23:42Speaker 1: side of beef to slap, they're toughen up the hands.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Yes, you're executive producer, now, Dan, that's what.
- 23:55Speaker 1: I'm full of terrible ideas. Why don't they do so?
- 23:59Speaker 1: If they're like bare knuckle boxing is becoming a larger,
- 24:02Speaker 1: more popular thing in the States, power slap is already
- 24:05Speaker 1: on a meteoric rise in popularity, why not do a
- 24:10Speaker 1: power punch? Or is that just too straightforward where it's
- 24:13Speaker 1: just you stand across from the opponent, you flip a
- 24:15Speaker 1: coin to see who gets to throw the first punch,
- 24:18Speaker 1: and you know, then you trade, you know, punches.
- 24:22Speaker 3: I think because of the amount of broken jaws you
- 24:25Speaker 3: would have and potential death.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Well that's the line.
- 24:30Speaker 2: Okay, sorry, yes, and the tremendous amount of CTE that
- 24:34Speaker 2: you could experience from it. Uh yeah, I'm just waiting
- 24:39Speaker 2: for like, you know, extreme thumb war, like let's go,
- 24:42Speaker 2: if we're gonna do it, let's yeah, see like razor
- 24:45Speaker 2: blades on the thumbs. There you go. You want gore,
- 24:50Speaker 2: you want something the kids can play at home?
- 24:52Speaker 3: Here we go.
- 24:53Speaker 1: Yeah, the thumb war is now actually a war. And
- 25:00Speaker 1: instead of calling the movie over the top, it's under
- 25:03Speaker 1: the bottom.
- 25:07Speaker 2: Again. Don't want to watch that movie.
- 25:09Speaker 3: That's the people who want to stream that one.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Oh no, go ahead google that. See what you get.

- 26:36Speaker 1: He's Trade trendhome. That there is mister Raj Sharma. It
- 26:41Speaker 1: is Tuesday. Since it's Tuesday, that means it's time for
- 26:45Speaker 1: tree House talkback. This is going to be a fun
- 26:48Speaker 1: one today, gentlemen, So hang on to your butts.
- 26:55Speaker 9: Hey, guys, JC, just wondering if anybody the all updated
- 27:01Speaker 9: or dan if Tara does this, Like my wife when
- 27:06Speaker 9: we're shopping, will go to like a bunch of different
- 27:09Speaker 9: stores because she likes.
- 27:12Speaker 7: To get the best bargain.
- 27:13Speaker 9: Like if something is five dollars cheaper ten miles away,
- 27:17Speaker 9: she wants to drive over there. But to me, I'm
- 27:22Speaker 9: losing money still because I gotta do take get the gas.
- 27:27Speaker 9: I use the gas to get there, then buy the thing,
- 27:30Speaker 9: then drive all the way back. And I don't understand
- 27:35Speaker 9: why they don't understand this, like it's just ooh shiny
- 27:41Speaker 9: in that because I know she's using girl math, but
- 27:44Speaker 9: to me, I'm using guy math.
- 27:46Speaker 3: Or I guess it's just math.
- 27:50Speaker 9: But anyway, just wanted to see what you guys thought, gentlemen.
- 27:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I've always been the bargain hunter, even like the ex.
- 28:03Speaker 2: Like my ex girlfriend, like I would I would go
- 28:06Speaker 2: she would go to the grocery store. I'd go to
- 28:08Speaker 2: the same grocery store and I would just show the bill.
- 28:10Speaker 2: I'm like, here's what we here's And she would even
- 28:13Speaker 2: say she's like I don't know how you're doing this,
- 28:15Speaker 2: and it's I don't buy extra stuff, but I also
- 28:18Speaker 2: clip coupons, like the digital coupons that you can get.
- 28:22Speaker 2: I do that. So there's ways to save money where
- 28:24Speaker 2: you can. And then there's price matching. So if you
- 28:27Speaker 2: tell them, then a lot a lot of people don't
- 28:29Speaker 2: know this. If you go to the store and go, hey,
- 28:30Speaker 2: that ten miles away, this same thing is that price there,
- 28:34Speaker 2: a lot of places will price match. So kind of
- 28:37Speaker 2: right in both sense, Like I would go, I would
- 28:39Speaker 2: make the trip if it was worth it, if there
- 28:41Speaker 2: was other stuff there.
- 28:42Speaker 1: But I remember, how do you feel about girl math
- 28:45Speaker 1: versus guy math?
- 28:46Speaker 3: Well, poor JC is under it seems to be under
- 28:50Speaker 3: a delusional concept that women use logic and reason. And
- 28:57Speaker 3: I got bad news for you, buddy.
- 29:01Speaker 1: So, JC, your wife is you're correct when you say
- 29:04Speaker 1: she's focused on the five dollars that she wants to save.
- 29:08Speaker 1: She's not thinking about And here's the key, the bigger picture,
- 29:14Speaker 1: which involves the ten miles to get to the next
- 29:18Speaker 1: place to save five dollars. Well, okay, yeah, you'll technically
- 29:21Speaker 1: say five dollars on whatever that item is, but you'll
- 29:25Speaker 1: also spend extra money in gas and the time involved
- 29:29Speaker 1: that you will then have to spend getting there. God knows.
- 29:32Speaker 1: I mean you're you're talking about DFW traffic. A lot
- 29:36Speaker 1: can happen in ten miles.
- 29:38Speaker 2: And then, so what you're saying is you don't want
- 29:40Speaker 2: to I've had this argument. So here we go. Are
- 29:43Speaker 2: you saying you don't want to spend time with me?
- 29:45Speaker 2: Is that what you're saying?
- 29:46Speaker 1: You don't want to traffic? No, I'd rather be doing
- 29:48Speaker 1: it something.
- 29:49Speaker 2: But we're together.
- 29:50Speaker 1: But what's enjoyable that?
- 29:51Speaker 3: This isn't quality time? Let's spend quality time together.
- 29:54Speaker 2: You don't ever want to, not truant, you never want
- 29:56Speaker 2: to do that. You never will aways go to a movie.
- 29:59Speaker 2: We and oh when we sit in silence and you
- 30:01Speaker 2: don't have to you have to. I'm in the dark.
- 30:03Speaker 2: Is that what you're doing? You don't want to be
- 30:04Speaker 2: seen with me. I've had all these arguments.
- 30:09Speaker 3: We can go to a restaurant.
- 30:11Speaker 2: We okay, other people around. You don't want to cause
- 30:13Speaker 2: a scene? Is that what it is? A public place? Okay,
- 30:16Speaker 2: that's fine.
- 30:17Speaker 3: I don't want to cause it. Yes, you're right, I
- 30:19Speaker 3: don't want to cause a scene.
- 30:20Speaker 2: We're going to cause a scene right now.
- 30:23Speaker 1: We're in traffic.
- 30:24Speaker 2: Right now, I'll pause a scene. Okay, and that's when
- 30:28Speaker 2: I get out while the car is driving.
- 30:30Speaker 3: Jump out, Yes, let me undo your seat belt.
- 30:35Speaker 1: Help you there you go.
- 30:40Speaker 7: J C.
- 30:40Speaker 1: You're welcome.
- 30:42Speaker 10: Hello Tree Half, This is Brad second time call her
- 30:47Speaker 10: longtime listener. Hey, y'all have to check out this video
- 30:52Speaker 10: that I saw from Stephen Colbert talking about a Portland
- 30:58Speaker 10: minor League team called the Portland Bangers, and you have
- 31:02Speaker 10: to just check out their mascot.
- 31:05Speaker 7: It is greatness. All right, y'all have a good look.
- 31:10Speaker 1: Well, thank you very much. Well, luckily I listened to
- 31:15Speaker 1: this ahead of time. So let's take a look at
- 31:19Speaker 1: the Portland Bangers mascot via Stephen Colbert on The Stephen
- 31:24Speaker 1: Colbert Show. All right, here we go.
- 31:28Speaker 11: Meanwhile, in Oregon, a local soccer team called the Portland
- 31:31Speaker 11: Bangers has unveiled their new mascot, Saucy T Sausage, ahead
- 31:36Speaker 11: of their debut game. Let's take a look.
- 31:39Speaker 1: Oh my god, Okay, it really does look like a
- 31:48Speaker 1: hot dog. I mean, that's exactly what it is. It's
- 31:50Speaker 1: a hot dog with sort of an intimidating mean face,
- 31:53Speaker 1: crunched up eyes with other link sausages coming out its
- 31:58Speaker 1: balloon knot head.
- 32:01Speaker 7: I think.
- 32:03Speaker 1: The dreads Yeah, it looks sort of like Wiener dreads.
- 32:10Speaker 3: Yes, has the girl marks on it.
- 32:13Speaker 1: I mean it's uh or also known as blocks.
- 32:19Speaker 2: Yeah, you know the guy that was making this where
- 32:22Speaker 2: the team is like they know.
- 32:24Speaker 1: Right, they seem pretty aware.
- 32:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean.
- 32:30Speaker 1: I get it.
- 32:33Speaker 11: Not only is he horrifying, he's wearing his own children
- 32:35Speaker 11: as hair. According to the team spokesbanger Saucy tea sausage
- 32:42Speaker 11: is known for his slightly overcooked ego, constant flexing, and
- 32:46Speaker 11: belief that he's Portland's sexiest piece of meat. I'm not
- 32:51Speaker 11: sure if this says sexy. I think it says I'm
- 32:54Speaker 11: about to commit a home invasion.
- 33:02Speaker 1: That really is possibly one of the most horrifying mascots
- 33:07Speaker 1: I have ever seen in my life.
- 33:11Speaker 2: So it's the whole play on Bangers and Mash like
- 33:13Speaker 2: I can get it, which would be a great sidekick
- 33:16Speaker 2: the mash because if that's what they did with the
- 33:18Speaker 2: hot dog, can't imagine what they're gonna do with the
- 33:21Speaker 2: mashed potatoes and gravy. I don't know, I don't want
- 33:27Speaker 2: to know where the Gravy's coming out.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Oh that's no though, that's that's that's gravy night at
- 33:33Speaker 1: the on the old Pitch. You don't want to miss that.
- 33:36Speaker 1: You want to bring the kids to Gravy Knight.
- 33:41Speaker 2: Also really stunned that Mesquite never had a gravy night.
- 33:45Speaker 1: Lots of questions will get answered that night.

- 34:42Speaker 1: Today is Tuesday, June tenth, twenty twenty five. Let's celebrate
- 34:48Speaker 1: today with some birthdays turning twenty four today, Young Sasha Obama.
- 34:58Speaker 1: Sasha Obama is twenty four today, Trey, is she the
- 35:02Speaker 1: one that's changing her name or is that the Malia
- 35:07Speaker 1: like one of the Obama kids is changing their name.
- 35:09Speaker 1: I keep seeing the headlines for it. I don't care,
- 35:11Speaker 1: but I'm just I don't know. Figured you guys are
- 35:13Speaker 1: big into politics, so I figured one of you would
- 35:15Speaker 1: know why I.
- 35:17Speaker 3: Have missed that story.
- 35:18Speaker 1: All right, well one of you heard it here. Last
- 35:20Speaker 1: one of the Obama kids is changing her name for
- 35:23Speaker 1: some reason that we don't really care about. I feel
- 35:26Speaker 1: better other birthdays today. Kate Upton turns thirty three today.
- 35:32Speaker 1: Kate Upton sports illustrated model who married Astro's pitcher Justin Erdlander.
- 35:37Speaker 1: She is thirty three today. They got not the They
- 35:43Speaker 1: kind of got caught up in some of the celebrity
- 35:45Speaker 1: private photo leak type things that happened. Theirs weren't as
- 35:49Speaker 1: bad as I guess. They were on the tail end
- 35:51Speaker 1: of some of those. I think they called it the
- 35:53Speaker 1: fappening back in the day when they would someone had
- 35:55Speaker 1: hacked into celebs phones and released all their private photos
- 35:59Speaker 1: on the internet. There were a few bathroom mirror selfie
- 36:02Speaker 1: snaps that the two of them had taken on their
- 36:05Speaker 1: phones that were released online. That's about all I know
- 36:11Speaker 1: about the couple.
- 36:14Speaker 2: Hmm.
- 36:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 36:16Speaker 2: There was a no, no, there was a thing. There
- 36:18Speaker 2: was a I saw it in LA. There was a
- 36:19Speaker 2: device that you could buy that if a celebrity, Like
- 36:22Speaker 2: anybody walking by you could turn it on and it
- 36:24Speaker 2: would like capture their phone numbers and private contacts and
- 36:28Speaker 2: like whatever memos or notes or whatever emails like you,
- 36:31Speaker 2: as they just walked by, it would instantly grab them.
- 36:33Speaker 2: And so that became a really big industry for a
- 36:36Speaker 2: hot second before I believe it was. Congress made it
- 36:40Speaker 2: like a felony offense. There was no like you get
- 36:44Speaker 2: the probation or anything like it was mandatory jail time.
- 36:47Speaker 1: It's like a walking by phone cloning type of thing.
- 36:52Speaker 2: Yeah, and it was, and it wasn't expensive. It was
- 36:54Speaker 2: like a couple of hundred bucks that you could buy
- 36:56Speaker 2: it and anybody, I mean, it doesn't have to be
- 36:58Speaker 2: a celebrity, anybody walking by. You could just turn it
- 36:59Speaker 2: on and got.
- 37:01Speaker 1: The Congress and I have really changed the world.
- 37:06Speaker 3: And honestly, you know, if I was part of a
- 37:10Speaker 3: couple that looked like Jason Justin Verlander and Kate Upton,
- 37:14Speaker 3: there would be you know, selfies all over the place,
- 37:17Speaker 3: neck in everything.
- 37:18Speaker 2: M Yeah, I would.
- 37:19Speaker 1: I think that's why theirs kind of flew under the
- 37:21Speaker 1: radar because it was no big deal. Everyone's like, yeah,
- 37:24Speaker 1: we expected that whatever you know, gets to go back
- 37:26Speaker 1: to the Jennifer Lawrence snaps or something.
- 37:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I wouldn't even wear clothes if I if I
- 37:30Speaker 2: had that, if I had that physique, I'd just be like,
- 37:32Speaker 2: you know what, this is how I look, This is
- 37:34Speaker 2: how I checked the mail. You're getting all the pictures.
- 37:36Speaker 1: Yeah, and then honestly, if you think about it, and
- 37:40Speaker 1: Kate Upton a former Sports Illustrated model, I mean she's
- 37:44Speaker 1: one hiccup away from being naked and most of those
- 37:47Speaker 1: photos anyway, so again you're not really seeing anything truly
- 37:50Speaker 1: shocking that you weren't expecting. You had a pretty good
- 37:52Speaker 1: idea already.
- 37:53Speaker 2: Yeah, some of those, like when you see them with
- 37:55Speaker 2: clothes on, is more shocking. You're like, oh, yeah, well,
- 37:57Speaker 2: nice topic.
- 37:58Speaker 1: And even recognize your sat right next to her the cafe.
- 38:00Speaker 2: Had no idea.
- 38:03Speaker 1: Other birthdays today, Tristan Mays is thirty five. Played Riley
- 38:07Speaker 1: Davis on mcguiver. I believe that's the new mcguiver TV show.
- 38:13Speaker 1: Lee Brice country singer. He's forty six. Shane West is
- 38:17Speaker 1: forty seven. He's Bine on TV's Gotham, Michael on Nikita
- 38:20Speaker 1: and John Alden on Salem. BJ Qualls is forty seven.
- 38:25Speaker 1: I guess most recently known as Citizen z on z Nation,
- 38:28Speaker 1: but he was also in a movie back in the
- 38:32Speaker 1: early two thousands. I think it was New Guy. He
- 38:37Speaker 1: was the really awkward, methy looking rail thin actor kid
- 38:42Speaker 1: that had a whole movie where he got to be
- 38:46Speaker 1: the star of the movie and the love interest was,
- 38:50Speaker 1: if I remember correctly, Eliza Dushku.
- 38:55Speaker 2: Interesting. I know he was in a movie before that.
- 38:58Speaker 2: I believe he was an actual student. I think he
- 39:01Speaker 2: was like a coming of age, like college type. Yea.
- 39:04Speaker 1: I think he was a road trip.
- 39:06Speaker 2: That maybe what it was. And I know he was
- 39:07Speaker 2: an actual like student at wherever they were filming that
- 39:10Speaker 2: that's how they were, like, he fits this part and
- 39:13Speaker 2: it did.
- 39:14Speaker 1: I really think that was road trip. He was the awkward,
- 39:16Speaker 1: gangly looking kid in that movie. That was the one
- 39:18Speaker 1: where uh, the guy hooked up with some girl at
- 39:22Speaker 1: college and they sent the tape to his girlfriend at
- 39:25Speaker 1: another college, so they had to go to I think
- 39:26Speaker 1: it was, and she was going to school in Austin,
- 39:29Speaker 1: so they had to take a bus.
- 39:30Speaker 2: And yeah, yeah, I believe he was an I think
- 39:32Speaker 2: he might have been at UT maybe is that is
- 39:36Speaker 2: that right?
- 39:38Speaker 11: No?
- 39:38Speaker 3: But I know I I google it now, I know
- 39:40Speaker 3: you're talking about Yeah the awkward kid.
- 39:42Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, good for him. He made a he made
- 39:46Speaker 2: a living out of doing that. That's kind of.
- 39:47Speaker 1: Absolutely It's one of those Hollywood dreams where it's like
- 39:50Speaker 1: you're just kind of walking around one day and a
- 39:52Speaker 1: producer goes, hey, weird looking guy, we want to roll
- 39:55Speaker 1: in a movie.
- 39:56Speaker 2: Okay, I mean there's one of the greatest stories. I
- 40:00Speaker 2: don't know whatever happened to the kid. There was a movie.
- 40:02Speaker 2: It was a John Grisham book called The Client, and
- 40:04Speaker 2: they were doing auditions for the kid, and the kid
- 40:06Speaker 2: in that movie. The kid in that movie is actually
- 40:07Speaker 2: a homeless kid who went in because the doors were open.
- 40:11Speaker 2: There was where they were holding auditions, and he went
- 40:12Speaker 2: in to use the water fountain and they were like,
- 40:15Speaker 2: he's the one, Like he got snagged into to read
- 40:18Speaker 2: in front of casting and they they got him and
- 40:21Speaker 2: he legitimately was homeless.
- 40:24Speaker 7: Jesus.
- 40:24Speaker 1: It's kind of like the the main bad guy in
- 40:29Speaker 1: Captain Phillips. So the movie Captain Phillip starring Tom Hanks,
- 40:32Speaker 1: based on the real life story of a shipping container
- 40:36Speaker 1: ship being attacked by Somali pirates and the lead pirate,
- 40:42Speaker 1: the lead bad guy in that movie. Yeah, I forget
- 40:47Speaker 1: how they found him, but he was from the Somali
- 40:49Speaker 1: population of Minnesota and they cast him. He made a
- 40:54Speaker 1: wopping sixty thousand dollars in the film and promptly went
- 40:57Speaker 1: back to doing whatever job he had in Minneapolis.
- 41:02Speaker 2: He got so he got pats a little. He turned
- 41:04Speaker 2: into a Somli pirates.
- 41:07Speaker 1: He didn't do He didn't do the movie for the cash.
- 41:10Speaker 1: He did it for tips.
- 41:13Speaker 2: That's why I h And is it true that I'm
- 41:16Speaker 2: the captain of the ship now? Is that that line
- 41:19Speaker 2: was not scripted? I think that was like in the moment,
- 41:21Speaker 2: is what I've heard. I don't know if that's true.
- 41:23Speaker 1: Oh might be, yeah, because that that that's one of
- 41:25Speaker 1: the major lines of the film. It's building up to
- 41:27Speaker 1: this point and then the bad guy. I mean, you
- 41:29Speaker 1: talk about a guy that's playing opposite Oscar winner Tom Hanks,
- 41:32Speaker 1: and it's very chilling when he says I'm the captain Now,
- 41:35Speaker 1: it's like, yeah.
- 41:36Speaker 2: That's pretty crazy. That's I mean, that's what Hollywood like.
- 41:39Speaker 2: That's the whole appeal is you never know what can
- 41:42Speaker 2: happen in this town and like, yeah, but you've named
- 41:44Speaker 2: three people in all of Hollywood history. Like, that's what
- 41:47Speaker 2: you've done. But that whole city, that's what it. You
- 41:50Speaker 2: never know who's in the audience.
- 41:51Speaker 7: Yeah, I do.
- 41:52Speaker 2: It's two o'clock in the morning. It's two o'clock in
- 41:54Speaker 2: the morning. They're all hammered. Yes I do. I know exactly.
- 41:57Speaker 1: And the ones you don't see, those are the ones
- 41:59Speaker 1: creeping around in my bush is begging for parts.
- 42:02Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the one sliding scripts under bathroom stall doors
- 42:05Speaker 2: and stuff like that like that legitimately happens.
- 42:09Speaker 1: Trying to bother you. But you know, while you're in there.
- 42:11Speaker 1: If you want something to read, here's here's my pitch.
- 42:14Speaker 1: Here's here's my script for over the top two.
- 42:17Speaker 2: Under the bottom.

- 43:19Speaker 1: little bit more left inside the Treehouse For Tuesday, June tenth,
- 43:22Speaker 1: twenty twenty five. We mentioned it right before going into break.
- 43:26Speaker 1: Our idea for Over the Top two Under the Bottom
- 43:33Speaker 1: based on Peanuckle the Thumb Wars. But that did remind
- 43:36Speaker 1: so I looked up in a previous break. So the
- 43:40Speaker 1: kid from Over the Top, you remember what he looks like. Okay,
- 43:45Speaker 1: he was one of those quintessential eighties movie kid actors.
- 43:48Speaker 1: He was in a number of things. Well, I told you, guys,
- 43:51Speaker 1: was I remembered a scene from a movie that he
- 43:54Speaker 1: was in where he falls into some pit and he
- 43:56Speaker 1: gets attacked by scorpions, like the big black scary scorpions,
- 44:01Speaker 1: you know. And it was not Over the Top that
- 44:05Speaker 1: that scene happened in. That scene happened in another film
- 44:10Speaker 1: he was in in the eighties. This one was nineteen
- 44:13Speaker 1: eighty Seven's Going bananas while on vacation in a fictitious
- 44:18Speaker 1: African country, the young son of a US senator, his guardian,
- 44:22Speaker 1: and their guide must stop the corrupt local police chief
- 44:26Speaker 1: and the shady owner of a local circus from capturing
- 44:29Speaker 1: their new friend, a talking ape, God Bless you. Nineteen
- 44:33Speaker 1: eighties stars of this film included not only the kid
- 44:37Speaker 1: from Over the Top, David Mendenhall, but also one Don
- 44:41Speaker 1: DeLuise and Jimmy J. J. Walker.
- 44:45Speaker 2: You want to talk about working for tips? I was
- 44:55Speaker 2: on a flight one from Vegas to Dallas and Jimmy
- 44:58Speaker 2: Walker and he does the club he does one of
- 45:00Speaker 2: the clubs here and I called and I was like, Hey,
- 45:03Speaker 2: is Jimmy Walker on at your club this weekend? And
- 45:07Speaker 2: they go, yeah, Oh my gosh, we forgot to pick
- 45:09Speaker 2: him up. Can you give him a ride? I went no,
- 45:15Speaker 2: And then.
- 45:16Speaker 1: You left Jimmy Walker at the airport.
- 45:18Speaker 2: It was Dino Might. I'm just saying that was a
- 45:29Speaker 2: good moment for me. No, I'm bad.
- 45:33Speaker 1: Did he ask you for a ride or he didn't
- 45:36Speaker 1: recognize you? You knew who he was and you knew where
- 45:38Speaker 1: he was going, but he didn't make the connection with
- 45:41Speaker 1: you to the club.
- 45:42Speaker 2: Oh. I when I was driving off, I saw him
- 45:44Speaker 2: with his bag on the phone on the curb, waiting
- 45:46Speaker 2: for a car that's not coming. I just thought it
- 45:50Speaker 2: was funny. I felt bad for the guy. But I'm like,
- 45:52Speaker 2: I'm almost home. Like I was looking in Addison and
- 45:55Speaker 2: it was at love Field. I'm like, I'm fifteen minutes
- 45:57Speaker 2: away from my house. I'm not driving to Fortworth.
- 46:00Speaker 1: Why don't you cheap bastards go pick him up. That's
- 46:03Speaker 1: your job.
- 46:06Speaker 2: But Dom Delaise, I thought he only worked with Burt Reynolds.
- 46:09Speaker 2: I thought that was a specific a contract thing.
- 46:13Speaker 3: No, he had Johnny Dangerously and oh yeah, that's right.
- 46:17Speaker 2: And then he had a son that was working in
- 46:19Speaker 2: movies as well.
- 46:20Speaker 1: Right, he had a couple of boys. One of them
- 46:24Speaker 1: was on twenty one Jump Street.
- 46:26Speaker 2: Yes, that's what I'm thinking of. Okay, yep, I forgot
- 46:29Speaker 2: that that was his kid. All right, Wow, that is wild.
- 46:33Speaker 1: The Delawese family continuing that Hollywood nepotism tradition.
- 46:37Speaker 2: And you watched this movie, and did you watch it
- 46:40Speaker 2: Going Bananas?
- 46:40Speaker 1: Yes? Going Bananas came out in nineteen eighty seven. You're
- 46:43Speaker 1: damn right. I saw it. I saw just about every
- 46:45Speaker 1: movie that came out in the eighties. By the way,
- 46:48Speaker 1: the other movie that we're talking about, Over the Top,
- 46:50Speaker 1: also came out in nineteen eighty seven.
- 46:53Speaker 2: Oh, he had two releases in the same year.
- 46:55Speaker 1: Yeah, well did you know that? Do you remember Sylvester
- 46:58Speaker 1: Stallone's character's name in Over the Top?
- 47:02Speaker 2: Oh? Can I just can I just venture a guess?
- 47:05Speaker 3: Sure?
- 47:05Speaker 2: What is his name? Like something like Magnum or like
- 47:08Speaker 2: a Trent?
- 47:10Speaker 1: Honestly, you're not far off, Okay, Lincoln Hawk?
- 47:15Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's that's the name.
- 47:17Speaker 1: I mean, they really, they really could have struck gold
- 47:21Speaker 1: if they just changed the first name to Michael. I mean,
- 47:27Speaker 1: what better name for a movie titled Over the Top
- 47:30Speaker 1: than a guy's name that is Mike Hawk. Mike Hawk
- 47:39Speaker 1: goes over the top better than under the bottom, depending
- 47:48Speaker 1: on where are you staying?
- 47:51Speaker 2: Is he is he gonna win heads or tails?
