I'm thinking eating and drinking. Two very important verbs in Norwegian. Luna: Oh right! We did breakfast foods a while back, but not the actual verbs for eating and drinking. Lucas: Exactly. So today we're going to learn 'å spise' — to eat, and 'å drikke' — to drink. Luna: Å spise and å drikke. Got it. Lucas: Listen carefully: å spise. Luna: Å spise. Lucas: Good. And å drikke. Luna: Å drikke. Lucas: Perfect. Now let's use them in a sentence. In Norwegian, to say 'I eat', you say 'jeg spiser.' Luna: Jeg spiser. Lucas: Yes. And 'I drink' is 'jeg drikker.' Luna: Jeg drikker. Lucas: You're a natural. Now let's put them together with some words you already know. Remember 'brød' from the breakfast episode? Luna: Yes, brød means bread. So 'jeg spiser brød'? Lucas: Exactly! Jeg spiser brød. And what about coffee? That's 'kaffe.' Luna: Jeg drikker kaffe. I drink coffee. Lucas: Perfect. Now let's add a question. To ask 'What are you eating?' you say 'Hva spiser du?' Luna: Hva spiser du? Lucas: And 'What are you drinking?' is 'Hva drikker du?' Luna: Hva drikker du? Lucas: Great. Now let me ask you: Hva spiser du til frokost? What do you eat for breakfast?
