Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. For years, people refused to accept the global
• 0:09
Speaker 1: implications of what Jeffrey Epstein was up to. And there
• 0:13
Speaker 1: were a lot of people in the legacy media that
• 0:15
Speaker 1: downplayed just how many people Jeffrey Epstein had in his orbit.
• 0:20
Speaker 1: And up until recently, when the Epstein files dropped, they
• 0:24
Speaker 1: were able to deny their relationship with Epstein because there
• 0:27
Speaker 1: was no contemporaneous evidence backing up what we were saying.
• 0:32
Speaker 1: Now we had witness testimony and people coming forward saying, look,
• 0:35
  Speaker 1: I know that so-and-so was there, but that's a lot
• 0:38
Speaker 1: different than people being able to go into the files
• 0:41
Speaker 1: themselves and read the emails. That hits a little bit different, right?
• 0:46
Speaker 1: When you can go and look at something for yourself
• 0:48
Speaker 1: and not have somebody else tell you what it is.
• 0:51
Speaker 1: And when you start diving into the emails and see
• 0:53
Speaker 1: some of the names, it's rather obvious that what was
• 0:56
Speaker 1: being asserted about Jeffrey Epstein and the global nature of
• 1:00
Speaker 1: his empire were not overblown. And now, over in Norway,
• 1:05
Speaker 1: we have 11 former and current politicians that are under
• 1:10
Speaker 1: investigation due to the Epstein situation. Now, when I say investigation,
• 1:16
Speaker 1: I don't mean like, you know, getting their houses tossed.
• 1:19
Speaker 1: They have parliamentary questioning that they have to sit through.
• 1:22
Speaker 1: And they're going to have to answer questions about their
• 1:25
Speaker 1: so-called relationship with Jeffrey Epstein over the years. And I
• 1:29
Speaker 1: think this is a great move. Now, do I think
• 1:31
Speaker 1: anything will come of it? I'm not too sure. I'd
• 1:34
Speaker 1: be a liar if I told you I knew too
• 1:36
Speaker 1: much about the Norwegian legal system and how things go
• 1:40
Speaker 1: over there. I don't. Now, if we're talking about Norway
• 1:44
Speaker 1: in the year 967, you know, the Viking Age, I
• 1:48
Speaker 1: know a little bit about Norway then, but nowadays, not much.
• 1:52
Speaker 1: So I don't know how vigorous an investigation into these
• 1:55
Speaker 1: members and former members of parliament is going to be.
• 1:59
Speaker 1: But the fact that there is any kind of investigation
• 2:01
Speaker 1: is progress. So today, we have an article from thedeepdive.ca
• 2:08
Speaker 1: and the headline, Norway's Parliament Opens Hearings Into Epstein's Reach
• 2:12
Speaker 1: Across Its Political Elite. This article was authored by J.P. Allegre.
• 2:18
Speaker 1: Eleven current and former Norwegian foreign and development ministers, including
• 2:23
Speaker 1: sitting prime minister Jonas Garstor, took the stand this week
• 2:27
Speaker 1: as Parliament opened public hearings into their dealings with Jeffrey Epstein.
• 2:32
Speaker 1: The probe follows the U.S. Department of Justice January release
• 2:35
Speaker 1: of millions of Epstein files, which exposed his connections to
• 2:39
Speaker 1: powerful figures worldwide. And that's the thing. This wasn't just
• 2:43
Speaker 1: happening in America or the U.K. or some far-flung country
• 2:47
Speaker 1: in Eastern Europe. It was worldwide. And the people that
• 2:53
Speaker 1: were involved with this, one way or the other, enabling
• 2:56
Speaker 1: or otherwise, is a list that is as long as
• 2:59
Speaker 1: you can imagine. And the people on that list, they're
• 3:03
Speaker 1: the movers and shakers of the world. And imagine how
• 3:06
Speaker 1: embarrassing this must be. You got to sit up there
• 3:08
Speaker 1: in front of Congress, in front of the whole nation,
• 3:11
Speaker 1: and answer questions about Epstein. I'm sure your wife and
• 3:13
Speaker 1: your kids are very proud of you. Parliament's Committee on
• 3:17
Speaker 1: Scrutiny and Constitutional Affairs is running the hearings. Committee leader
• 3:21
Speaker 1: Jonas Anderson Syed said there are many people who have
• 3:25
Speaker 1: demonstrated very poor judgment in maintaining friendships with Epstein. Not
• 3:30
Speaker 1: everyone agrees with the approach. Former Development Minister Eric Solheim
• 3:34
Speaker 1: called it an overreaction that will throttle the Foreign Service,
• 3:38
Speaker 1: whatever that means. I translate that as, don't look into
• 3:42
Speaker 1: my friends. Well, if you look into them, that means
• 3:45
Speaker 1: you're going to have to look into me at some point.
• 3:48
Speaker 1: So why don't you just shut your yap and get
• 3:50
Speaker 1: on board? Probably a good idea. Borgi Brendi, a former
• 3:54
Speaker 1: foreign minister who quit as world economic foreign president once
• 3:58
Speaker 1: his own Epstein tie surfaced, insisted he had no idea
• 4:02
Speaker 1: about Epstein's past when they first crossed paths in 2018.
• 4:06
Speaker 1: How can you even say that? The dude was already
• 4:09
Speaker 1: a sex offender. You mean you had no idea he
• 4:11
Speaker 1: went to prison? You had no clue what he got
• 4:13
Speaker 1: hemmed up for? Some of the most powerful people in
• 4:17
Speaker 1: the world had no idea. I mean, what happened, Earl Guthrum?
• 4:21
Speaker 1: You guys didn't have any Wi-Fi over at the Longhouse?
• 4:24
Speaker 1: It's offensive, honestly. They really think people are going to
• 4:27
Speaker 1: buy this nonsense that they had no idea. We didn't
• 4:29
Speaker 1: know who he was, what he was doing. And again, look,
• 4:33
Speaker 1: I hate to beat this dead horse, but if you
• 4:35
Speaker 1: want to say that before he was convicted, fine. At
• 4:38
Speaker 1: least you have a leg to stand on. But after
• 4:40
Speaker 1: he was convicted, if you show up and start talking about, oh, well,
• 4:44
Speaker 1: I had no idea who he was, what he was doing,
• 4:46
Speaker 1: how dare you say I knew what he was doing? Bro,
• 4:49
Speaker 1: the whole world knew. So save that goofy bullshit for
• 4:51
Speaker 1: somebody else. Separately, Parliament has appointed an outside panel of
• 4:56
Speaker 1: academics and legal experts, only the ninth of its kind
• 4:59
Speaker 1: in 140 years, to examine three decades of the country's
• 5:03
Speaker 1: diplomatic conduct. Its findings are in due before 2028. And
• 5:08
Speaker 1: I can only imagine what else was going on. Not
• 5:11
Speaker 1: just Epstein, but other scummy shit. And if they're running
• 5:15
Speaker 1: a real investigation, it might be big trouble for people
• 5:18
Speaker 1: over in Norway. Police are running parallel corruption investigations outside
• 5:23
Speaker 1: of parliament. Former Prime Minister Thorbjorn Jagland, who also served
• 5:28
Speaker 1: as Foreign Minister and later as Council of Europe Secretary General,
• 5:32
Speaker 1: is under investigation for aggravated corruption, suspected of profiting personally
• 5:37
Speaker 1: from his government career by accepting travel, loans, and gifts
• 5:40
Speaker 1: that a prosecutor, say, came his way because of positions
• 5:43
Speaker 1: that he held. Among them, Epstein financing help for an
• 5:47
Speaker 1: Oslo apartment in 2014. Prosecutors could only move ahead after
• 5:52
Speaker 1: Norway's foreign ministry stripped the diplomatic immunity that came with
• 5:56
Speaker 1: his Council of Europe post. So look, all these people
• 5:59
Speaker 1: that were palling around with Epstein, all these people like Mr. Jagland,
• 6:03
Speaker 1: who tried to ignore and deny what was going on,
• 6:06
Speaker 1: they're finally being held to account because these dudes were
• 6:10
Speaker 1: directly in the middle of it. Jeffrey Epstein had his
• 6:13
Speaker 1: hooks into the UN and it was people like Mr. Yagland, allegedly,
• 6:18
Speaker 1: that helped them get a foot in the door. So
• 6:21
Speaker 1: it's been a long time coming when it comes to
• 6:23
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein and the ramifications for people in Scandinavia because
• 6:27
Speaker 1: when it comes to Jeffrey Epstein in the UN, these
• 6:30
Speaker 1: dudes played a gigantic role. prosecutors have also charged Terry
• 6:36
Speaker 1: Rod Larson, the diplomat who helped broker the 1990 Oslo Accords,
• 6:41
Speaker 1: and his wife, career diplomat Mona Jewell, over a 2018
• 6:45
Speaker 1: Oslo condo they allegedly bought, with Epstein's help, for roughly
• 6:49
Speaker 1: half of what it was worth. Jewell faces a serious
• 6:52
Speaker 1: corruption charge. Rod Larson faces a lesser charge of complicity.
• 6:57
Speaker 1: Both deny wrongdoing. So, 2018, Epstein's already diddling people, already
• 7:03
Speaker 1: a convicted offender, And Mr. Rod Larson thinks it's a
• 7:06
Speaker 1: good idea to have Jeffrey Epstein get in on it
• 7:10
Speaker 1: and help him buy a condo? You couldn't get financing
• 7:13
Speaker 1: from anybody else? There was no bank that would hook
• 7:15
Speaker 1: you up? No third-party financing? We have to go to
• 7:18
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein and try and get funding from him? Completely absurd.
• 7:24
Speaker 1: And the fact that they continue to try to use
• 7:25
Speaker 1: this as some sort of crutch is unbelievable. You took
• 7:30
Speaker 1: his money, right? Okay. That money? Ill-gotten gains. So now
• 7:35
Speaker 1: you should be part of a RICO investigation in America
• 7:38
Speaker 1: as well. But unfortunately, we know that's never going to happen.
• 7:43
Speaker 1: Because back in 2019, that was the time. Imagine if
• 7:48
Speaker 1: they would have had a RICO case going in 2019,
• 7:51
Speaker 1: the implications, what that could have led to. Imagine the
• 7:54
Speaker 1: accountability that would have came with a RICO investigation. All
• 7:59
Speaker 1: these people that think it's funny, all these people that
• 8:01
Speaker 1: think they got away with it, they wouldn't be laughing then.
• 8:05
Speaker 1: Not when the feds come kicking in your door at
• 8:07
Speaker 1: 4 a.m. and lead you out in cuffs. Wouldn't be
• 8:10
Speaker 1: so funny for Leslie Groff then, would it? Or Sarah
• 8:13
Speaker 1: Kellen Vickers, or Adriana Ross, or Darren Endyke, or Larry Vesosky,
• 8:17
Speaker 1: or Richard Kahn. But that never happened. Instead, they decided
• 8:23
Speaker 1: that they're going to control the blast radius because they
• 8:25
Speaker 1: didn't want you to know the true depths of what
• 8:27
Speaker 1: Epstein was up to. They didn't want you to know
• 8:30
Speaker 1: that it was international in scope. They didn't want you
• 8:33
Speaker 1: to know that some of the most powerful people in
• 8:35
Speaker 1: the whole ass world were involved with this scumbag. And
• 8:39
Speaker 1: that's because they knew what your reaction would be. And
• 8:42
Speaker 1: they couldn't abide by it. They didn't want people looking
• 8:46
Speaker 1: into this. They didn't want people demanding accountability. They didn't
• 8:50
Speaker 1: want to open up those closet doors. But unfortunately for them,
• 8:54
Speaker 1: those closet doors were opened when those Epstein files were released.
• 8:59
Speaker 1: And once people started digging through them and finding the
• 9:01
Speaker 1: names and making the connections, well, the toothpaste was out
• 9:05
Speaker 1: of the tube. And you know there's no going back.
• 9:08
Speaker 1: People have seen what they've seen. People know what they know.
• 9:11
Speaker 1: And people want justice. And I think that you're going
• 9:16
Speaker 1: to see that come the midterms because it's going to
• 9:19
  Speaker 1: be a big issue. I know that there's a lot
• 9:22
Speaker 1: of people out there that act like it's not a
• 9:23
Speaker 1: big deal, but it is. And I think it's roughly
• 9:28
Speaker 1: 57% of Republicans even think that the Epstein issue has
• 9:32
Speaker 1: been fumbled. So when you're losing that kind of support
• 9:34
Speaker 1: with your base, and then you add in the independents,
• 9:37
Speaker 1: and of course the Democrats, it's not looking good. And
• 9:41
Speaker 1: this is one of those issues that moves the needle.
• 9:43
Speaker 1: And I think that we're going to see that come midterms.
• 9:48
Speaker 1: And if we do see the big switch that is
• 9:51
Speaker 1: looking like we're going to see with the Republicans losing seats,
• 9:54
Speaker 1: especially in the House, They're going to have nobody to
• 9:56
Speaker 1: blame but themselves because they had every choice. to do
• 10:00
Speaker 1: the right thing here they had every chance to control
• 10:03
Speaker 1: this narrative they had every chance to give us the
• 10:07
Speaker 1: transparency and justice we demanded and they failed at every
• 10:11
Speaker 1: turn so now that bill's come and due and in
• 10:16
Speaker 1: my opinion it's not going to be one they want
• 10:18
Speaker 1: to pay Crown Princess Medi Merit has also apologized publicly
• 10:23
Speaker 1: for her past friendship with Epstein, saying she felt manipulated
• 10:26
Speaker 1: and deceived. The parliamentary hearings don't include her. Of course not.
• 10:31
Speaker 1: Rules for thee, not for me. But I will say
• 10:34
Speaker 1: it's at least promising that we have this parliamentary investigation,
• 10:38
Speaker 1: and I'm interested to see just how serious they are
• 10:41
Speaker 1: about holding people accountable in Norway. All the information that
• 10:47
Speaker 1: goes with this episode can be found on In the
