A 20-year-old filmmaker from Mobile, Jesse Starling, is premiering his first feature film, “Unsteady,” a raw and authentic drama about addiction and mental health that he stars in as John Griffin. After a car accident, Griffin spirals into pain medication abuse while grieving the loss of his parents — a story Starling poured his heart into, writing and filming it over two and a half months this summer.
