- 0:06So first, let's understand what evolution is not evolution is
- 0:10not a vision, it's not a problem, using a non frog and
- 0:15it's not a change in kind, whatever that means.
- 0:18And it's not a theory of the origins of the universe life,
- 0:21chemicals, passwords, Etc, and is not a theory increases and it
- 0:25is not coming from a rock, I'm sure can have it will be
- 0:29immediately. Um, same old fairy tales lines
- 0:32and strong man and he always, I just got done watching a live
- 0:37debate between Kent Holden and this guy called David Neff.
- 0:41David Neff is an atheist a typical arrogant atheist who
- 0:47thinks he knows everything and doesn't try to answer any
- 0:52questions. Dodge everything that's thrown
- 0:55at him. You guys.
- 0:56Are you crazy - they're Liars? This is his answer.
- 1:00The mirror, every question that Canto VII through Adam and also,
- 1:04you're going to notice all the way from the beginning to the
- 1:08ending of the video. Every time.
- 1:09Kent asked him a question are threw up.
- 1:12Something to argue the guy would simply sit well?
- 1:16Well um um, um, let me ask a question and we'll see where you
- 1:20go from there. I do think, David kind of lost
- 1:23his cool as the debate went on and I think he did lose some
- 1:29arguments. I think definitely definitely
- 1:34getting a heated heated, towards the end, there can open one of
- 1:37the debate. I was very annoyed listening to
- 1:41nuff, he was denying his own Theory.
- 1:44When brother Hogan was trying to show him from the chart.
- 1:47We start out with single-celled and you get to this you get to
- 1:49this to get this it contradicts what he was saying that.
- 1:52Well a dog will always bring a dog or a horse is always going
- 1:54to have. Yeah but at some point that had
- 1:58to have not been true but he does One admit that.
- 2:00It's very, very annoying, the evolutionist keep ducking and
- 2:04dodging. The fact that if you start out
- 2:07with one single cell thing and then all of a sudden, now we
- 2:09have all these billions of things, then somewhere along the
- 2:12lines, something had to produce something other than its kind.
- 2:16There's not, there's no way around it, but they don't want
- 2:18to admit that. And that's very, very annoying
- 2:20for me. And I can't stand when people
- 2:22are dishonest. So, you know, be honest, you
- 2:25know, if you're an evolutionist emit, well, yeah.
- 2:27At some point in time it had to happen but we can't Observe that
- 2:30okay, just be honest, it's not science.
- 2:33It was just horrible, Kent Holden ruined him destroyed him.
- 2:39But the sad thing is that even if Ken Tobin wouldn't have even
- 2:42been in the discussion and it was just David, Neff be atheist.
- 2:46Talking, this guy would have ended up destroying himself that
- 2:50he was so pathetic and terrible. He didn't know what he was
- 2:54talking about and the only thing that he tried to do towards the
- 2:59end of it, Always ask a bunch of random stupid questions, even
- 3:03ends up turning off his camera and starts looking around in a
- 3:06book and everything starts reading off a bunch of stuff
- 3:09that he doesn't even understand trying to get Ken told them.
- 3:13It didn't work though. I didn't hear the guy answer one
- 3:16single question. I didn't hear him give one
- 3:19single shred of evidence for any of his arguments are claims.
- 3:23Sometimes once again, you have no understanding whatsoever of
- 3:26evolution, this is not what evolution says.
- 3:28It's not one to anyone. It says that all and you weren't
- 3:31a high school teacher for 15 years.
- 3:33You are printing from accelerated Christian education,
- 3:35and giving high schoolers workbooks.
- 3:37That's not teaching High School science.
- 3:39So your temper tonic tonic hedonic moderate here.
- 3:42One Topic at a time, none of this slapping run.
- 3:46Okay, it's pretty much an ad hominem insult Fest from Neff.
- 3:51And then, we're was really funny.
- 3:53And really showed how like ensure and lacking in
- 3:55self-confidence, he isn't trying to project so much as I can, in,
- 3:59at the very end. Insulting out the Wazoo events
- 4:02like and I would really like if mr.
- 4:04Hogan would be willing, I would love to debate him again on
- 4:06Faking, just gone from insulting the fire out of them, and kill
- 4:10them all these names and issuing insult after insult.
- 4:13And like and then begin, like, respectfully.
- 4:15If Mr. Hovind, my senior would be willing to debate me except
- 4:20what? Okay, dude, he had can't old and
- 4:23just completely annihilated him. I have to give kudos to Kent.
- 4:28I really love the Yzma, I love the humor, but David Neff was
- 4:33absolutely terrible. It was almost a scruciating to
- 4:36watch this destruction. Go down like it was terrible
- 4:41terrible. But as far as the entire
- 4:44audience, even non-believers were ashamed and embarrassed to
- 4:48what they were seeing from you David, there wasn't one single
- 4:52reason whatsoever that you inspired anybody to even accept
- 4:56this nonsense. That you claim this true.
- 4:59You don't even know. You're talking about, you don't
- 5:01even know what evolution means. I didn't like the way net
- 5:06enough. I tried to say we are not a real
- 5:09teacher like that stuff that is trying to go personal.
- 5:12Welcome to standing for truth. I am your host Donnie.
- 5:16Thank you, all for being here tonight.
- 5:18For this epic debate tonight, we will be debating, the important
- 5:22question. And topic is there reasonable
- 5:25evidence for evolution. I have to season Debaters here.
- 5:29With me, dr. Kent hovind.
- 5:31And David Neff gentlemen, thank you for giving us your time for
- 5:35tonight's important debate. Thank you standing for truth and
- 5:41you so much for hosting and mr. Kenyans, a pleasure to see you
- 5:44again. My privilege and David.
- 5:51Yes. Awesome hear me.
- 5:53Yeah, I said we're going to get you converted just hang in
- 5:55there. Now let me that there's gonna be
- 6:00a good debate, this is gonna be a good debate.
- 6:01And as usual, let's break the ice and kind of get to know The
- 6:05Debaters a little bit. Before we get into the opening
- 6:08statements. David, why don't we start with
- 6:11you been a little while? Since you've been on the channel
- 6:13for a debate, tell us a little bit about who you are and what
- 6:18can people expect to find over at your channel?
- 6:22Well, thank you. Once again, my channel is all
- 6:24about providing science promoting skepticism and Cody.
- 6:27Promoting reason, I do a lot of interviews and we do a lot of
- 6:29open mics and after shows. So if you like this type of
- 6:33stuff, feel free to come over and subscribe.
- 6:35I'm scooting kind of taking a break right now, but I'm slowly
- 6:38forward. Any studying biological science,
- 6:41I am passionate about reason. I'm passionate about viruses, I
- 6:46really loved biology and Immunology and get vaccinated
- 6:50everyone. All right, I appreciate that
- 6:54introduction there, David. I appreciate you giving us your
- 6:57time for tonight before I hand it over to Kent though, we've
- 7:00already got a great chat. So please as we always do, we
- 7:03like to get you guys involved for an audience Q&A?
- 7:06Please make sure you're tagging me at standing for truth with
- 7:09your questions. That way I won't miss them so
- 7:12over to you dr. Dino how you been?
- 7:15What's going on and how was everything at Dow?
- 7:19Well, thank you for having me. Yes, my name is Kent hovind.
- 7:21I got the Born and raised in Illinois.
- 7:23And when I was 16, I gave my heart to, the Lord got saved
- 7:26started going to an independent temperamental fundamental
- 7:28right-wing radical chicken, eating Baptist church and ended
- 7:31up getting ordained as a Baptist Minister, 1974 and been involved
- 7:35in Christian Ministry, ever since variety of things,
- 7:38pastoring, a church teaching school.
- 7:40I taught High School, science and math, 15 years.
- 7:43And I moved to Pensacola in January of 89 and began the
- 7:46ministry creation. Science evangelism defending,
- 7:49the Bible as being scientifically accurate, God
- 7:52Everything in six days, everything dinosaurs and
- 7:55everything. So we started our ministry,
- 7:57dinosaur Adventure Land in Pensacola and now we're here in
- 8:00Lenox Alabama straighten or 70 miles from where we were and we
- 8:03have 140 acres here and people visiting from all over the
- 8:06world, 200 and some people baptized and we want to get o
- 8:09World converge it to believe the Bible.
- 8:12Awesome. I appreciate that Kent.
- 8:14I appreciate the introductions from the both of you, David and
- 8:17can't. So for the audience sake, we are
- 8:20going to be having a formal debate.
- 8:22We're going to have a roughly 12 minute opening statements, eight
- 8:25minutes uninterrupted rebuttals and we're going to have a
- 8:28free-flowing organic discussion. Discussing the points brought up
- 8:33by The Debaters in the opening statements and rebuttals.
- 8:36Then we will have five minute concluding statements.
- 8:39And then again this is where we get you guys involved in.
- 8:42Audience Q&A. So again, make sure you're
- 8:43tagging me with your questions. Any time that The Debaters don't
- 8:47use for the opening statements and rebuttals.
- 8:49We will throw into the audience Q&A.
- 8:53So that being said, let's get right into it.
- 8:56We're going to hand it over to you.
- 8:57David just make sure you unmute yourself.
- 8:59You are muted. And I see your screen being
- 9:02shared now, so I will get it up on screen for you.
- 9:06And whenever you're ready, go ahead.
- 9:12Well, thank you once again standing for truth.
- 9:14And thank you, Kent hovind. It's a pleasure to be here is a
- 9:17pleasure to be back when your Channel I want to begin with a
- 9:20confession. My goal here is to not tease me.
- 9:23My goal is not to win a debate, I'm not here to win a debate and
- 9:27that's because I don't actually view this as a debate at all.
- 9:29It is entertainment and that is because this this is not a
- 9:33debate that is taken seriously in the scientific community.
- 9:36Over 99% of biologists agree that the area If evolution is
- 9:41sound, my goal, tonight is to explain why that is the case.
- 9:45My goal is to explain why evolution is so well supported.
- 9:51So first, let's understand what evolution is not.
- 9:54Evolution is not a religion, is not a frog, producing a non
- 9:59frog, and it's not a change in kind, whatever.
- 10:02That means it is not a theory or the origins of the universe life
- 10:06chemicals. Cause most Etc and it's not a
- 10:09theory increase. And it is not coming from Iraq.
- 10:12I'm sure. Can you have in will be
- 10:14repeating these, same old fairy, tales lines and straw, man, that
- 10:19he always I guess. I think it's possible that this
- 10:22is the type of stuff that can happen is going to say, and it's
- 10:25opening. So what and science throwing
- 10:28stones isn't good enough. You need a better explanation
- 10:31because tense model. Do a better job.
- 10:32Explaining standby, own jumpers me.
- 10:35Don't thank cannot even explain his model in a consistent way.
- 10:40Patience definition is squishy hard to draw the dividing line
- 10:43in practice the word kind. For example is very old defined.
- 10:47According to an interest in Genesis it could be a species
- 10:49genus family, even order in some cases.
- 10:53So there is no dividing line with what is kind even is
- 10:57microevolution is evolution that creation is cannot deny and
- 11:01macro-evolution is evolution creationists must unite now,
- 11:06Malkin, and well, can't accept any of this evidence that I
- 11:09presented night. Of course not.
- 11:12So when is evolution Evolution? Even I'm just going to, I'm
- 11:15going to stop the timer there. Are you meaning to change the
- 11:18slides? Because I just see it on the
- 11:20first slide still. Oh, thank you so much.
- 11:22Yes, I am trying to change the slides.
- 11:24I'm not sure why he's not changing.
- 11:26I am so glad you brought that up.
- 11:30Let's see here. What if it's all in the title
- 11:32slide? Still Evolution debate one.
- 11:35That's trying to share. Yeah, let's try it.
- 11:40We share this. Okay.
- 11:50What if what, if instead of changing the size, I do this.
- 11:53Does this change here? Yes.
- 11:56Yeah, okay then I'll just keep it.
- 11:58So yeah, evolution is not a religion.
- 11:59It is not a frog producing an on frog, and it's not a change in
- 12:02kind, and it's not a theory of the origins of Life.
- 12:04Chemicals, biology, Etc. Excuse me, Cosmo eccentric
- 12:07cetera. It is a theory on biodiversity
- 12:11and evolution is the change in allele frequencies in the gene
- 12:14pool delivered, successive Generations as a result of these
- 12:17changes. But one genetic change, ever
- 12:20ever many generations ultimately results and the emergence of new
- 12:24and different species from a single ancestral species.
- 12:28All living terrestrial organisms are genealogical irritated all
- 12:33existing species or resonated gradually by biological
- 12:36reproductive processes on in geological time.
- 12:39Scale, there are four key points to Evolution.
- 12:42Evolution has occurred species are not under.
- 12:45Excuse me, species are not unchanging.
- 12:47Entities, but Evolved over time, the primary cause of evolution
- 12:51is changed as natural, selection species, change over time
- 12:55because of barriers of because mirrors of different traits have
- 13:00different probabilities of, contributing Offspring to the
- 13:02Next Generation, splitting of a single species, as you two were
- 13:06more, single species has occurred, that is called
- 13:08speciation the necessary conclusion from this is that all
- 13:12species, share a common ancestor.
- 13:15And the final key points from Darwin, is evolution it.
- 13:18Evolutionary change is gradual Evolution occurs by the gradual
- 13:22transformation of populations over long periods of time,
- 13:25rather than by a single species changing their me
- 13:27instantaneously into something different.
- 13:30You're four major elements of natural selection competition.
- 13:34There are more individuals that are born that survived
- 13:38variation, individuals, very interest rates directly relates
- 13:41to their ability to survive and reproduce heritability.
- 13:45These advantages traits are passed on to offspring
- 13:49iteration. This process is repeated
- 13:51generation after generation over long periods of time.
- 13:55So, what is the evidence for evolution?
- 13:57Number one is direct. Observation, number two is 25,
- 13:59Fossil record and finally, genetics, very confirmation
- 14:03antibiotic resistance. This is a pretty scary table
- 14:08that shows when antibiotics were introduced.
- 14:11And when the resistance was first observed, how does this
- 14:15work? Well, you have a population of
- 14:19bacteria and you treated with antibiotics some of them
- 14:25survived and the ones that survived recruiters and Um, that
- 14:31is how we get and eventually to get stronger and stronger and
- 14:35evolution plays a back and forth.
- 14:38Game, each lean once we're trying to do to control them and
- 14:45that is what's going on. And number two is speciation, we
- 14:49observe speciation every single creation is that I know accepts
- 14:54speciation even can't move in does and Creations have resorted
- 14:58to using species. Ation to explain how Noah could
- 15:02fit all the animals into is so dark.
- 15:06And so this is literally the definition of macro-evolution.
- 15:10The only way that can happen is able to deny this is by straw
- 15:15Manning or changing the definition of From Evolution.
- 15:18I'm going to skip that slide as IV to HIV and another direct
- 15:23observation of evolution HIV emerged, from SIV, sometime
- 15:28around the 1900. And so the virus had to mutate
- 15:34into a form. That could overcome natural
- 15:36immunity to SIV and humans me and wants to have a gene that
- 15:39encodes a protein called tetherin.
- 15:42This protein has evolved to confirm assistance to
- 15:44retroviruses by tethering them to the inside of the cells.
- 15:48They in fact and preventing the virus from replicating for SI
- 15:52v-- C pz to successfully infect a human and has to overcome this
- 15:56impressive effects of human tetherin.
- 15:59The S IV C pz evolved by acquiring to anti tetherin genes
- 16:04called Eddie F and vpu one from each of the original monkey
- 16:08virus that fused to form the chimpanzee virus, the NES Gene
- 16:13mutated to overcome chimpanzee tetherin but the VP Eugene
- 16:17remained essentially inserts when the virus jumped to humans.
- 16:21Human tethering was so different that the NES unit could not
- 16:25overcome. Human tetherin and stand.
- 16:27The vpu gene mutated. To overcome human Seth Ryan
- 16:31which allows hiv-1 group em to infect humans is this
- 16:36imagination? No.
- 16:37Is this all directly observed difference?
- 16:40You is a fossil record remains fossils are remains or traces of
- 16:45previously existing organisms in sedimentary rock.
- 16:48They record past biodiversity, they record the morphology the
- 16:52time and place, and the environment in which it lived,
- 16:55and it can help infer evolutionary relationships.
- 16:59Here is the A great chart that shows the evolution of horses
- 17:02and of course, can't open would say that this is the fourth
- 17:04time. So when he accept his says,
- 17:06showing the evolution of the horse kind or not.
- 17:09Let's see. And we also have an event
- 17:11transitional fossils of whales, and how they evolved from Land.
- 17:17Mammals And we also have very good records of how humans
- 17:25evolved from other apes. And finally, genetics genetics
- 17:30is probably the strongest piece of evidence for evolution.
- 17:33If you years ago, I got my genetic sequence from
- 17:37ancestry.com, and they were actually able to tell me, not
- 17:42only where I came from from Europe, but where I actually
- 17:45settled from Europe, which is an Alabama, It's just really
- 17:50interesting because my biological mother was formed in
- 17:52Alabama and I was born in Arkansas and mountainous.
- 17:56Retroviruses and doggedness. Retroviruses, we can ask use
- 18:00this to actually show the evolution of I'm going to use
- 18:07this to show evolution of humans.
- 18:10I want them to read a Quakes a very brief excerpt from the book
- 18:17evolving the human effect and why it matters by dr.
- 18:19General Fairbanks during the early days of genomic
- 18:24sequencing. When scientists sequence small
- 18:27segments of the human genome, they found remnants of ancient
- 18:30Snelling stains, viruses scattered throughout it, these
- 18:33viruses are called human endogenous, retroviruses Or herv
- 18:37so short, they are remnants of retroviruses that use RNA
- 18:41instead of G and DNA. As your genetic material, the
- 18:44Retro and the word retrovirus implies.
- 18:46That something is reversed transcription is a routine and
- 18:50essential process for ourselves through wedge.
- 18:53They make RNA copies of genes from the DNA of your genes.
- 18:57The first step in the DNA to RNA to protein transfer of
- 19:00information. However, when a retro virus
- 19:03infects, a cell transcription is reversed then.
- 19:06Is RNA is copied backwards into a molecular of to me and to a
- 19:10molecule of DNA and the DNA copy of the virus inserts itself,
- 19:14into the cell's DNA, the DNA. Now copy median and copy.
- 19:19Now, embedded in the, cell's genome serves as the master
- 19:22pattern for encoding, new RNA copies of the virus that viral
- 19:27infection destroys many other cells that contain DNA copies of
- 19:30the virus, the body's immune system.
- 19:32Also destroys many of the affected cells by selectively
- 19:35attacking them. There were cells that made us to
- 19:37persist, with viruses inside them typically died soon.
- 19:40After the organism dies, the virus survives only by escaping
- 19:44the cells that it is. Infected it going on to infect
- 19:46other cells, often in other individuals.
- 19:50However, millions of years ago and are distant ancestry,
- 19:53certain retroviruses managed to infect the germline cell which
- 19:58cells in the reproductive organs that you think, eventually
- 20:01develop into egg or sperm and a DNA copy of the virus.
- 20:06It has to be integrated into the DNA of the germline cell and a
- 20:10and egg or sperm arises from that zone.
- 20:14That egg or sperm carries the virus embedded.
- 20:17As part of its DNA at that egg or sperm cell, then participates
- 20:21in fertilization. The resulting individual
- 20:24inheritance of DNA copy of that virus and every cell of its body
- 20:28and will pass the virus to its Offspring, who then pass it on
- 20:31to their offspring and so on generation after generation and
- 20:35the key point Here is that we have thousands of your RVs in
- 20:42common with chimpanzees and other great apes and the exact
- 20:48same location, which we can actually use to create a
- 20:51phylogenetic tree to show how we descended from.
- 20:56So, in conclusion as expected according to Kant, nothing we
- 20:59discussed is going to be evidence for evolution.
- 21:01That's okay. Can't accept microevolution.
- 21:04And if all of this stuff is just microevolution, I can't
- 21:06macro-evolution do you can debate the meaning of words but
- 21:10you cannot debate what you see with your own two eyes.
- 21:13Thank you very much and I look forward to the open discussion.
- 21:19All right. That was 12 minutes.
- 21:20I appreciate the opening statement there.
- 21:23David Neff. We are now going to hand.
- 21:25It over to Kent Kent. You have 12 minutes as well for
- 21:30an opening statement and whenever you're ready, the floor
- 21:32is yours. All right, well, thank you for
- 21:35having me. It's good honored to be here.
- 21:36And David, it's obvious, you've been thoroughly indoctrinated
- 21:40into believing, you're in religion, and evolution is a
- 21:42religion. No matter what you say about it,
- 21:44after believe in it. Nobody's ever seen any animal
- 21:47produce a different kind of animal will talk about that in a
- 21:49minute. When I go out and look at the
- 21:51stars, I can Marvel and say, wow, what a mighty, God, we
- 21:54serve, I love the Lord. I've been his child now. 53
- 21:57years. It's been estimated.
- 21:59There are 76 trillion stars as a lot of starch.
- 22:03Might be three times. Many.
- 22:04We may go forever. We don't know that's in the
- 22:06observable universe. It's been estimated every person
- 22:09on Earth could only 11 trillion of them to themselves.
- 22:13You guys believe all of this fit in a DOT smaller than a proton.
- 22:19There are multiple levels of stupid but that's got to be at
- 22:22the top of the pile to believe such a dumb thing.
- 22:24You can't squeeze a gallon of milk into a DOT smaller than a
- 22:27proton. Let alone all the stars in the
- 22:29universe. If stars are indeed forming like
- 22:32you guys claim, we should see 9.7 million new stars forming
- 22:36every minute for 13.7 billion years, nobody's ever seen one
- 22:42form and yes, David. I'm sorry.
- 22:43You know, you evolution is. Do not like this one.
- 22:45I do that but this word evolution is a Slurpee.
- 22:48Reword has six different meanings and all you want to
- 22:50talk about is microevolution as if that is somehow evidence for
- 22:54all the rest and it's not first, you'd have to be Cosmic
- 22:57Evolution, the origin of time space matter.
- 22:59Where did time come from David? What happened before?
- 23:03Time began. What about space?
- 23:06Where did that come from for the Big Bang to explode into and
- 23:11matter? Where did Matra come from?
- 23:12There's a lot of matter in the world.
- 23:15Then that those elements that came off your dumb.
- 23:17Big Bang had to had to somehow form into all the different
- 23:20elements of our periodic, table chemical Evolution, then stellar
- 23:23and planetary, nobody's ever seen a star form, then somehow
- 23:26you got to get life to start and that life has to go from single
- 23:30cell to multi-cell. I was told that was one of your
- 23:33main points. Tonight, I'll cover that in just
- 23:34a second, scientists have not created life in the laboratory.
- 23:37And if they could, that would only prove it takes intelligence
- 23:40to make life. It would not Prove.
- 23:42It Could Happen by itself. In chance, let's have a chat.
- 23:45Foolish creatures on the planet. According to National
- 23:48pornographic, they say 525 jeans.
- 23:51We'll each gene is more complicated than an
- 23:53encyclopedia. And you want to say 525 of
- 23:57these. There's a simple as one.
- 23:59The simplest cell is more complicated than the space
- 24:02shuttle. Most complex machine ever built
- 24:04by man that I know of, that's a single cell new theory of
- 24:09organic evolution, somehow life has to get started from
- 24:13nonliving material. In your religion, organic
- 24:16evolution, the internet's full of this stuff.
- 24:18Nobody knows how a mixture of lifeless chemicals,
- 24:21spontaneously organized themselves into the first living
- 24:24cell. He knows nobody knew when he
- 24:26said this 20 years ago and nobody knows now.
- 24:29So the word evolution is a slippery word, Cosmic Evolution,
- 24:33chemical Evolution. You don't want to talk about
- 24:35that stellar and planetary. Nobody wants to talk about that
- 24:38but those are essential steps to get to have something to evolve.
- 24:42That you got to have these. Then there's organic evolution
- 24:45life has to get started. Then macro changing from one
- 24:48kind of animal into another and if you don't know what a kind
- 24:51is, ask any four-year-old, they can look at animals and say oh
- 24:53those are the same kind and this was not the same kind in most
- 24:56cases nobody's got a good solid definition of species either.
- 25:02Macro-evolution large changes but skip up here.
- 25:04Let's see. All accept evolution geologist,
- 25:08biologists geneticists all accept evolution you guys say
- 25:12this. Like it's some kind of fact and
- 25:13you said in your opening 99% of biologists agree that Evolution
- 25:17has happened. Well, you better Define what you
- 25:19mean by Evolution and that's the central part of this entire
- 25:22debate because you guys do the bait and switch constantly.
- 25:26Okay, I accept the fact that cows can jump, okay?
- 25:31I can jump, I don't, they normally don't, but they can.
- 25:35I accept the fact, you could probably train a cow to jump
- 25:37higher. If you worked at him and gave
- 25:39him go to the gym workout or something like that.
- 25:41Therefore, since I accept the fact that cows can jump this
- 25:45proves Beyond a reasonable doubt.
- 25:46That given enough time a cow could jump over the moon This is
- 25:51the logic, you have David, we see these little changes,
- 25:54therefore paying, everything is possible.
- 25:56Jay David a cow cannot jump over to moon a cow.
- 25:59Can I jump over a tree? Not a church.
- 26:02Okay, so this is how dumb the evolution.
- 26:05Theory is you guys see wow, cows can job.
- 26:08Yeah, then you accept the fairy tale that they jumped over the
- 26:12moon. I know you won't get this maybe
- 26:15some of your audience. Well okay, there are four
- 26:17processes for evolution. Natural selection, genetic
- 26:21drift, mutations gene flow, mutations, are the ultimate
- 26:25source of new alleles in a gene for.
- 26:27I agree, all known mutations are harmful or fatal or neutral,
- 26:31show me a good one. If you had a good mutation,
- 26:34you'd have to have one of the opposite sex for it to marry and
- 26:36then that would have to take over the whole population.
- 26:39So if you had a cow with longer horns and this is going to be
- 26:42beneficial well, now you got to get the whole population of
- 26:45other ones that don't have the Longhorns to die off.
- 26:47This is you guys dream. Reem you imagine you believe
- 26:51Evolution happened 250 recognized breeds of cattle 80
- 26:56produced in the u.s. typically I accept the fact there are 250
- 27:00breeds of cows. They probably had a common
- 27:02ancestor called a cow. Okay.
- 27:05Corn, six types of corn, grown in the u.s. might had a common
- 27:09ancestor, 200 varieties of wheat might had a common ancestor,
- 27:14Wheat. Okay, four thousand varieties of
- 27:18potatoes. They might had a common
- 27:20ancestor, called a potato, 300, some species of dogs.
- 27:24They might had a common ancestor called a dog dog.
- 27:27Wolf coyote probably had a common ancestor.
- 27:29This is what we all agree on. So 99% of all biologists would
- 27:34agree that all the dogs in the world had a common ancestor
- 27:36called a dog. But I tell you David a
- 27:38four-year-old can tell you the answer to this question which
- 27:41one is not like the others, dog, wolf coyote.
- 27:44Anna. Banana.
- 27:49It's obvious. The Bible says 20 times in the
- 27:51first seven chapters that they will bring forth after their
- 27:55kind and if you don't like the word kind, I'm sorry.
- 27:58That's what it says and it works Darwin wrote a book called, The
- 28:01Origin of Species and nobody's ever clearly defined.
- 28:04What a species is If it has to do with interbreeding, there are
- 28:08quite a few that can no longer interbreed that are still
- 28:11obviously, from the same ancestor.
- 28:13Microevolution this is science. Variations happen within the
- 28:18kind evolutionary change, within a species or small group of
- 28:22organisms, especially over a short period, pesticide
- 28:25resistance herbicide resistance, antibiotic resistance examples
- 28:30of microevolution, I agree, it happens, it works.
- 28:33And that's where it stops. The cow can jump.
- 28:35Maybe, two, three, four, Feet, that's where it stops.
- 28:38Not going to go over the moon. You guys dream it goes forever.
- 28:41You give examples of microevolution on the internet
- 28:44Sparrow populations in the north have larger bodies than Sparrow
- 28:48populations in the South. Well it's cold up north and they
- 28:52need a bigger body to survive the winter.
- 28:55So probably those with a heavier body would gradually take over
- 28:58the population. It's still a sparrow.
- 29:01That's a variation of a bird. All Darwin saw on his Islands
- 29:06was for In varieties of bird same graph inch, he did not see
- 29:10any Evolution. He saw a natural selection at
- 29:13work and then dreamed it went beyond what were the obvious.
- 29:16They they're still a bird sell single cells, evolved large
- 29:20multicellular form this you got to be careful though.
- 29:23They even have heard you believe this single cells can get
- 29:26together to make a multi-cell creature.
- 29:30This is not true, okay? Your evolutionary tree of life
- 29:34which is Pure Imagination, starts with a single step.
- 29:36Sell at the bottom the origin of life and in gradually evolved
- 29:40into everything. In your religion, you believe,
- 29:42pine trees are related to frogs you really do.
- 29:46I don't know how to explain to you.
- 29:47That's not science and you won't accept it.
- 29:51We see varieties of armadillos we see varieties of possums
- 29:54varieties and dogs outside that circle is science, there's a
- 29:58whole bunch of family trees. But it does not mean they come
- 30:01together in the middle inside, it's a religion.
- 30:04Let's see, how did a single cell evolve into a multi-celled
- 30:07organism downloaded today? Multicellular organisms arise in
- 30:12various ways cell division or by aggregation of many.
- 30:16Single cells are really, a bunch of cells can get together and
- 30:19become a multi-celled creature. Really, this is a giant problem
- 30:24for The evolutionary theory. How do you get from, first of
- 30:27all, how do you get a single cell to come alive?
- 30:29Period? That's a major problem.
- 30:30But then the next one is, how do you get multicellular creatures
- 30:33humans have about 100 trillion cells in their body all working
- 30:37together to accomplish the job of keeping you alive?
- 30:40Very, very complicated. See, Darwin's proposed the
- 30:45existence of an evolutionary starting point and a primordial
- 30:47organism from which all Modern Life descended.
- 30:51This started to search for the last Universal, common ancestor
- 30:56Luca most likely a single-celled organism between 3 and 4 billion
- 31:01years ago. You be sure to add time that'll
- 31:03cure it. Okay.
- 31:04All species involved from single cell study fights National
- 31:09Geographic. Ten years ago.
- 31:11Really all life on Earth. Evolved from a single celled
- 31:14organism. Scientists have witnessed a
- 31:16single-celled algae evolved into a multicellular organism.
- 31:21Did they really? No, they did not.
- 31:24They observe some of them get together and lock together,
- 31:26their protect themselves from any Predators, all the observe
- 31:29in this incredible experiment. The team was trying to find out
- 31:31exactly what drove single-celled organisms to become
- 31:34multicellular. All those millions of years ago,
- 31:37one hypothesis is that predation.
- 31:39Somebody was eating Them Predator.
- 31:42One minute. Well, I got plenty of on this
- 31:45David, bring this up, we'll go back to that.
- 31:47Locking arms together for protection is not being dragged
- 31:50and to not be dragged off. Does not mean they are now one
- 31:53organism. It's a bunch of guys hanging on
- 31:56to each other so they can't get washed away with the tide but
- 31:59they're still individual people. Protesters lock arms after
- 32:03taking what happened. The algae multicellular
- 32:06Evolution study was debunked and there's a great article about
- 32:09it. Bye Jeffrey.
- 32:10Tompkins on, IC r dot org. Okay, headlines, scientists
- 32:17witnessed a single-celled algae. They said oh they didn't.
- 32:20One of the major hurdles was how life first transition from
- 32:23unicellular or multicellular and they give a long article here.
- 32:26The Predators were going after these little United States,
- 32:29single-celled creatures. So they lock together.
- 32:32They never function together as a single organism.
- 32:37Okay, let's see scientists who reject God will latch on to
- 32:40virtually any natural phenomena and put some strange Twist on it
- 32:43to support their Paradigm. You can read the article for
- 32:46yourself on IC, r dot org. So I think you're dreaming.
- 32:51There is no evidence at all ever in history of the world that any
- 32:54animal produced a different kind of animal.
- 32:57This is something you believe, you can believe it very
- 32:59strongly, but it's not science. So I don't mind.
- 33:03You guys believing anything you want to believe you can believe
- 33:06the cow jumped over the moon. I do mind that you want
- 33:09everybody to teach your religion and paid a teacher religion and
- 33:11our Public Schools. Those of you who believe in
- 33:13evolution, should go start a private school charge tuition,
- 33:17make kids to learn whatever you want them to learn the Muslims,
- 33:19have their school, the Catholics have their school, the oil
- 33:22evolutionist can have their school but it should not be
- 33:24involved in public education. It's not science.
- 33:26It's a religion. David go ahead.
- 33:30All right, I appreciate that. Opening statement.
- 33:33Laughter oven. We're going to hand it over to
- 33:35David. David, you have an eight minute
- 33:38rebuttal and I'll start the timer on your first word.
- 33:42All right, so give me one second DDT.
- 33:47All right, can you hear my Scream real quick?
- 33:51I'm gonna jump things mean a couple different screens.
- 33:54So Kent, hovind brought up the five-year-old test.
- 33:57I guess, I can do 15 year-old test on myself.
- 34:00One of these things is not like the other one of these things.
- 34:02Things doesn't belong and you guys which things is not like
- 34:04the other. By the time I finish this song,
- 34:07I'm sure of five-year-old would agree.
- 34:09That's a bandana is different from the other three.
- 34:12Does that mean that a human a chimpanzee?
- 34:16And a Bonneville or the same kind?
- 34:19I'm sure. No one would disagree with that,
- 34:23Candace. You've been preaching the same
- 34:25stuff since before I was born, human corrected, when the stuff
- 34:28from my pretty much every single person you've ever debated.
- 34:32So I generally want to know what learning disability you have mr.
- 34:36Kent and evolution does not permit one, kind of animal
- 34:42evolving into a fundamentally different kind of animal, no,
- 34:48stop sharing. That's and then I'm going to
- 34:50share something else. Let's see here and share screen
- 34:58print ad. Okay.
- 35:02I want to share this and I kind of wanted to kind of illustrate
- 35:06this the best I can. Unfortunately my drawing is not
- 35:09very good so bear with me now. So we of course, both agree on
- 35:14speciation. So let's say we have a specie
- 35:16here, species here and this is got a speciai 3D introduced to a
- 35:22distinct species and then this one over, Here is going to
- 35:26radiate into two more species then so forth over here.
- 35:35So forth over here. Then over here, we have the same
- 35:48thing. Going forth and forth so on and
- 35:55so on. And then of course, the results
- 35:59being this one. This VC over here is still
- 36:01related to the species over here by common ancestor.
- 36:04The point of the matter is that no points in this evolutionary
- 36:09history and no point. In this case, e Asian does one
- 36:12fundamentally different kind of animal.
- 36:17Become independent kind of animal.
- 36:20That is simply not what happens. And if a dog produce a non dog
- 36:25or if a hamster gave birth to a whale that Evolution would be
- 36:30falsified. So I kind of feel that Kent and
- 36:33I are talking past each other because I don't think we're
- 36:36talking about the same thing. And that's something that I'm
- 36:41going to hopefully try and demonstrate in the open
- 36:43discussion and so once again, Evolution has nothing to do with
- 36:52the origins of life. Nothing to do with you words is
- 36:54that the universe or chemicals or anything like that.
- 36:57These are all distinct fields of Science and might come as a
- 37:02surprise to Kent hovind. But the Big Bang Theory could be
- 37:08false and evolution can still be true.
- 37:11Because they are completely different theories, that have
- 37:13nothing to do with one another at all.
- 37:16So with that, I come to try and demonstrates, why that's the
- 37:20case in the open discussion. So with that, I'll turn the mic
- 37:24over to head to and all right. I appreciate that rebuttal with
- 37:31about four minutes to spare. So as we usually do, we're going
- 37:34to throw that into the audience Q&A, as we usually get a ton of
- 37:37questions and we already are getting a ton of questions as
- 37:41Got over 200 people in the chat right now, so, let's hand it
- 37:45over to dr. Kent hovind, you've got 8
- 37:48minutes for your uninterrupted rebuttal, and whenever you're
- 37:51ready, go ahead. All right.
- 37:56Well, thank you. Sir Bible says God, created the
- 37:58creatures to bring forth after their kind.
- 38:00You mentioned one of the evidences for evolution was the
- 38:02horse Evolution. All that has ever been observed
- 38:05and science deals. What we can observe study test
- 38:07and demonstrate not what you can imagine, SpongeBob style.
- 38:10All I've ever observed is horses produce horses?
- 38:13You may get a big horse or a little horse might even
- 38:14described sounded like a zebra. Probably the zebra, the borough
- 38:18had a common ancestor I wouldn't argue with that one is world the
- 38:20world's smallest horses here. They got small ones, they got
- 38:23big ones and ever get a horse as small as a mosquito though
- 38:27there's limits the horse kind there's the source the Zaki the
- 38:31zeona you can cross breed all these they're probably the same
- 38:34kind of animal. I agree.
- 38:35Horses probably had a common ancestor called something
- 38:38similar to a horse. That's never been a there's no
- 38:42evidence for horse Evolution. I'm sorry.
- 38:44Somebody taught you that and I'm real sorry you fell for it but
- 38:47I'm here to help you. I'll get you on brain washed.
- 38:49If you pay attention David, okay.
- 38:50You mentioned about whales being evidence for evolution.
- 38:53You throw that out into a typical student.
- 38:55Oh wow, there's evidence and they write it down.
- 38:57Well, there isn't not from Wales.
- 38:59Wales. For example, have small bones
- 39:01located in the muscles of their body walls, that are vestigial
- 39:04bones of hips. And hind limbs.
- 39:05This book, says really, they show the pelvis and the femur
- 39:09on. Whale.
- 39:11Now, the whale does not have a pelvis or a femur, and it's not
- 39:14evidence for evolution. I debated, Jeanne Scott for the
- 39:17national Center for Science. Mis-Education, they teach the
- 39:21whale is evidence for evolution had berserk Lee University.
- 39:25They show the evidence right here.
- 39:26Look at this, the cow from bossy to blowhole.
- 39:29This is one of their Publications.
- 39:31So the cow turned into a whale, is this how whales evolved?
- 39:36They show the pelvis and leg bought all the biology books.
- 39:38I'm aware of high school and up teach that the whale has a
- 39:41vestigial pelvis. If tiny hind limb bones that
- 39:45have no function. There's Biology book says,
- 39:48really hope, biology major publisher.
- 39:50Hmm, just imagine Wales walking around, it's true.
- 39:54No, it's not true. They put a big displays up in
- 39:57museums like Los Angeles Museum of Natural History.
- 40:00They say look at this boys and girls see those bones right
- 40:02there. That's the whales pelvis.
- 40:05This is a bold-faced lie. And anybody with one eyeball,
- 40:08have half a brain cell knows it, those bones are part of the
- 40:11whales reproductive system, their anchor points for certain
- 40:14muscles that allow the whales to reproduce whales, have huge
- 40:18reproductive apparatus and they have to maneuver him in the dark
- 40:21under water and the can't talk and say squared over honey they
- 40:24got have extra muscles. Bones.
- 40:26It's very simple or you can't get baby wails.
- 40:28This is nothing to do David. You said this is evidence for
- 40:32evolution. The whale be specific please.
- 40:34Why do you think the whale is evidence for evolution?
- 40:38The whale is evidence of incredible design.
- 40:41Those bones have nothing to do with walking on land and if they
- 40:45were remnants of leg bones, that would be losing something not
- 40:49gaining something. Where's the evidence of any
- 40:52animal gaining? Something to go from a single
- 40:55cell creature to a multi-celled human National Geographic, says
- 41:00whales and dolphins had legs. They're either stupid or they're
- 41:03deliberately lying. Tell them I said so okay and if
- 41:07you think that's the best schedule pelvis on a whale you
- 41:09are either stupid or deliberately lying.
- 41:12Where is the evidence of a whale showing evidence for evolution?
- 41:17The whales pelvis located far from the vertebra has no
- 41:20apparent. Current function.
- 41:22That's one of the bones right there.
- 41:24No apparent function. That guy should not be writing a
- 41:26Biology book, that's for sure. You should ask his mama.
- 41:30That's what we got. One of the bones here in our
- 41:32Museum. They have a nerve supply of
- 41:33blood supply. Their part of the whales whales
- 41:35penis can be up to 15 feet long. They got a maneuver the thing in
- 41:39the dark under water without talking.
- 41:41So this is a bold-faced lie, to say that the whale is evidence
- 41:44for evolution. They're very different Anatomy
- 41:46male and female anatomy, and they have to have these special
- 41:49bones and muscles. So I'm sorry.
- 41:52If you believe that's Evolution, you mentioned it and threw it
- 41:55out and somebody's going to say, oh wow, he had evidence.
- 41:57No, he didn't. There's no evidence from Wales.
- 42:00There's no evidence from humans coming from apes.
- 42:05You can believe that if you want and the picture you gave with me
- 42:08and a monkey. And I think the other was
- 42:09orangutan, I forget and whatever, the third, which one's
- 42:13different. They're all different.
- 42:14All four of them are different. Do you mean which one is
- 42:16different? They're all four different.
- 42:19The picture I gave showed three that are could easily have a
- 42:21common ancestor. None of what you showed had a
- 42:23common ancestor. So when you get into studying
- 42:26anatomy of creatures, you ought to just Marvel and say wow, what
- 42:31a mighty God we serve, it's everything is design and it
- 42:35looks like you're reading some kind of script which I'm sure
- 42:38you were. Instead of coming up with
- 42:41original arguments you're just reading what everybody else told
- 42:43you to say paraphrasing. Let's see.
- 42:46That is not a vestigial pelvis, I'm sorry.
- 42:49The horse did not evolve. There's no evidence from
- 42:51genetics. The genetic code of every
- 42:54creature is mind-boggling and its complexity to say that
- 42:58they're similar. Ortiz in these codes.
- 43:00So I bet Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint have
- 43:03thousands of identical lines of code.
- 43:07Identical lines of code. What does that prove?
- 43:10They both evolve from Morse code or that same guys are writing
- 43:13the code. The people at Microsoft are
- 43:16writing the code for PowerPoint and for other programs.
- 43:19And of course, there are similar lines of code, the same God that
- 43:22designed people designed all the other creatures and you we have
- 43:26two bones in our risk, which makes it both flex flexible,
- 43:29many different directions, very handy.
- 43:31Lots of animals have that feature, it's a great design
- 43:34feature. A lot of the cars on the road
- 43:37have doors that open out wall great idea instead of open end
- 43:42and be hard to get in your car. So does that prove common No.
- 43:45It's a it's a design that works. So I'm sorry you're mistaken.
- 43:49The whale does not have a vestigial pelvis.
- 43:51There is no evidence from the whale or from the horse for
- 43:54evolution at all. Stop lying to people and telling
- 43:57them there is and if your biology teachers are telling you
- 43:59that at the college, you're going to do have all come to
- 44:02bait. All of them, same time half my
- 44:03brain Tied by Mac. I'll pay my way to get there.
- 44:06I'll debate them all same time. I get half the time.
- 44:08No interrupting a no cursing. If they can follow those Simple
- 44:10Rules so I'm sorry you're mistaken David there is no
- 44:13evidence from the whales For evolution, no evidence from the
- 44:16horse, no evidence from genetics.
- 44:19There's no evidence of any ape ever turning up.
- 44:21Anything other than a baby eight chimpanzees, maybe chimpanzees
- 44:24humans make maybe humans, there are simply No Exceptions there.
- 44:28Tell the kids in school, this snake has claws.
- 44:30That are proof for evolution. Those claws are part of the
- 44:34snakes reproductive system. Same problem, they don't have
- 44:36any arms and legs and can't talk.
- 44:38They're part of the mating system of the snake connected to
- 44:41little bones that go up inside. So I know you guys are desperate
- 44:44for evidence for your theory. I mean, really desperate, I'm
- 44:47sorry, get a new Theory, your Theory's wrong, it's stupid.
- 44:50It's a religion and it's dumb. Alright, thank you.
- 44:53Bye. Alright well that concludes the
- 44:57opening statements and the rebuttals.
- 45:00Thank you, David. And thank you can't.
- 45:03We are now moving into the open discussion and as always guys,
- 45:08let's keep this cordial. Respectful equally timed while
- 45:12focusing on one Topic at a time and there were a ton of great
- 45:17topics and points brought up in the opening statements.
- 45:19So we have lots to discuss. David.
- 45:23Why don't we hand it over? To you for the first question.
- 45:25Or the first point you wanted to make since Kent just ended with
- 45:29his rebuttal gentleman. The floor is yours.
- 45:31All right. Thank you very much, mr.
- 45:32Kent, I do appreciate you giving me tonight.
- 45:36I kind of feel like we're talking past each other, and I
- 45:38feel like we're talking about two different things.
- 45:40So I just wanted to make sure we're talking about the same
- 45:42exact thing. Can you give me your best steel,
- 45:44man, definition and understanding of evolution, And
- 45:50what you're saying my best? What?
- 45:51Now, you're best deal. An understanding of evolution.
- 45:54So basically, I want you to try and steal me and my position.
- 45:59So seal you enter your position. I said what I said, it looks
- 46:05like to steal man his position as in.
- 46:10You know, what's your definition or understanding of biological
- 46:14evolution? I guess.
- 46:16I'm not familiar with the term steel, and let's see.
- 46:21So basically it's the opposite of straw man.
- 46:23This is why I always say oh instead of strongman okay well I
- 46:27don't strongman try not to I try to give very clear.
- 46:30I make it very clear. You there are six different
- 46:32meanings to the word. Slide number 100.
- 46:37And I do this frequently throughout my seminar.
- 46:39Cosmic evolution is a vital step that would have to take place
- 46:43before you can have anything else, you have to have time,
- 46:46space and matter, you're claiming these animals produce.
- 46:49Different kinds of animals will the animals are made out of
- 46:51matter where did the matter come from?
- 46:54You have to you guys love to skip these first five because
- 46:57you don't have an answer for them but they are essential
- 47:00steps. If we said the man was walking
- 47:02across the desert and he got in the car and drove the rest of
- 47:04the way. Stop stuffed up.
- 47:05Where did the car come? Um, you can't just say, you got
- 47:09in the car, found it on the middle of desert.
- 47:11You just say, well, life was already here and now it evolved.
- 47:13No, no. How did life get started?
- 47:16Where did matter a come from? How did life learn to reproduce?
- 47:20So I don't think you have a solid position I think of
- 47:23nothing but a straw man. I think what you have is lots of
- 47:26examples of variations within the kind which I've everybody
- 47:30would agree with every Farmer in the world would agree.
- 47:32You can get varieties of tomatoes and apples and bananas
- 47:35and frogs and But it stays with us, same kind.
- 47:39So you believe that the evidence that we see for these little
- 47:42variations is somehow evidence for the rest of your theory, and
- 47:46there's where you're wrong. All right sort.
- 47:48So if I could there's I think where you're misunderstanding
- 47:53is. As I mentioned, evolution is
- 47:54interfering with biodiversity and is not a theory on anything
- 47:58else. Those have different theories
- 48:01that are all independent of one another saying that the theory
- 48:04of evolution is false because it can't explain.
- 48:06The origins of the universe is like saying that the germ theory
- 48:09is false because it can't explain the origins of germs.
- 48:13Were the end of the atomic theory is false, make a because
- 48:16it can't can't explain the origins of the atoms.
- 48:22This is kind of the problem that you're making and I want to make
- 48:26sure that we correct this misunderstanding tonight.
- 48:29Lucian is a theory on biodiversity, nothing more,
- 48:32nothing less and I want you to admit that.
- 48:37Biodiversity bio, meaning life, diversity diverse.
- 48:41I agree each life form on Earth, the whales can produce a variety
- 48:45of Wales. The cows can produce a variety
- 48:48of cows. Biodiversity works just fine.
- 48:51Ask any Farmer in the planet they can with you biodiversity
- 48:55develop apples that will grow in colder climates like North
- 48:58Dakota or warmer climates like South Florida, but they're still
- 49:02apples. So biodiversity is limited to
- 49:05what anybody with a brain. Rain would say is the same kind
- 49:08it's still an apple Darwin. Saw 14 varieties of finches.
- 49:12Okay. They're still a finch so I
- 49:15agree. Biodiversity Works.
- 49:18Within the limit of the same kind, every Farmer on the
- 49:21planet. Does this for a living, they try
- 49:24to raise chickens that are better for a certain
- 49:26environment. So some plants grow better in
- 49:28sandy soil, some grow better and acids.
- 49:30Oiler moist climate, they have you been farming, all your life
- 49:34that biodiversity works. But that's where it stops and
- 49:38you guys imagine that it goes beyond that David.
- 49:41I don't know how to get you to see it.
- 49:43So yes, they're the best evidence is there has never been
- 49:46anybody in the no farmer ever. In history of the world has ever
- 49:50seen any animal produce, what anybody would consider to be a
- 49:53different kind. Show me something in the last 20
- 49:56years, David, that you can point to and say we saw this animal or
- 50:00plant produce offspring that are considered a completely new
- 50:03kind. What's the best evidence?
- 50:05You know of for That or is it all take place millions of years
- 50:08ago, milk and some I think the problem is once again, I feel
- 50:12like we're talking past each other here because it's
- 50:15interesting that you think that a change in kind would be proof
- 50:18of evolution while. I think that a change in
- 50:20something that is fundamentally different kinds of its Meg would
- 50:22actually be evidence against evolution of a cow gave birth to
- 50:26a whale, then Evolution would be falsified.
- 50:28So what I want to do is kind of flip the question.
- 50:30When you, what would you accept as a change in kind?
- 50:33What is it? What is something that you
- 50:35wouldn't want to? see, in order for it to count as
- 50:38a new kind, Okay. Birth to a whale that would
- 50:42falsify. Evolution did a cow and a whale
- 50:45have a common ancestor millions of years ago?
- 50:48David. Yes he did.
- 50:50Did that ancestor? Give birth to both the cow and
- 50:53the whale eventually over millions of generations?
- 50:55Yes. So well, I kind of know where
- 50:57you're going with this, but I want to kind of see.
- 51:01I hadn't wanted to turn this logic around when you, so you
- 51:04would agree that a lion and a tiger.
- 51:06I cannot understand him. Enunciate articulator.
- 51:09Write it down. I'm not understanding what
- 51:11you're saying. So it's getting easier.
- 51:16Does a lion and a tag? Does a lion.
- 51:18And the tiger, share a common ancestry.
- 51:21They share a common ancestor. A lion and a tiger.
- 51:24I don't know. That would be a good field of
- 51:26research for biologists to get into lions and tigers can
- 51:29interbreed they're typically The Offspring is typically infertile
- 51:34the tigon or the liger they called it.
- 51:36Depending which is the mail. And so they're both in the cat
- 51:40family. So whether they are had a common
- 51:43ancestor, don't know possibly, I don't think I'd be willing to do
- 51:49that. The Lion and the Butterfly did
- 51:51not have a common ancestor, okay?
- 51:53So can you can you name two species that you think do share
- 51:57a common ancestor? Why?
- 52:00I think the Great Danes and that you always have a common
- 52:02ancestor. Okay.
- 52:04What about the Great Danes and the wolves?
- 52:06Do you think a Shader common ancestor?
- 52:08I think they might have had a common ancestor, Great Dane Wolf
- 52:11but see this is all some a dog wolf.
- 52:15Coyote probably common ancestor but that doesn't mean dog.
- 52:20Wolf, and banana or butterfly. Have a common ancestor with you.
- 52:23You believe, a butterfly and a dog.
- 52:25Have a common ancestor, David? Yes.
- 52:28Okay. I mean, you want and it's rude,
- 52:31right? So, what's the evidence that
- 52:35what is your best evidence? That a dog and a butterfly?
- 52:37Have a common ancestor? All right, well, when evidence
- 52:41when you want it saps, let me ask you a question real quick
- 52:43and you'll see where that means as you just a couple questions
- 52:45and you'll see where this is going and then I'll get back to
- 52:47that. Can you actually explain the
- 52:51three types of natural selection?
- 52:55What are the different types of selection?
- 52:57Can you, can you explain the three types of natural
- 52:59selection, how they work and have examples of the three types
- 53:04of natural selection and you'll see where this is all going.
- 53:09I understand part of that natural, selection means, nature
- 53:13natural, things happen in nature that select which ones get to
- 53:17live long enough to produce their next generation of babies,
- 53:21natural selection can happen because of genetic factors.
- 53:25Something happens in the complex Gene code and the baby's born
- 53:29with a deformity or part of the gene code.
- 53:30Got screwed up is probably not going to live long enough to
- 53:33make babies of its own. So there might be a deformity in
- 53:37the genetic code, which is an incredibly complex coding in the
- 53:40copy process. Something goes wrong.
- 53:42And therefore, it doesn't survive.
- 53:43There might be a predator that feeds on the slowest of the
- 53:47rabbits is probably not going to survive.
- 53:49So eventually after a period of time, all the rabbits can run
- 53:52pretty fast or they don't make it and so that, but it didn't
- 53:55natural selection does not create anything.
- 53:59It selects listen to the wording natural selection.
- 54:05It can select, which one's survive.
- 54:07It cannot create anything new. It doesn't create rabbits with
- 54:11wings, that can fly and rabbits the fastest ones, probably
- 54:15survive in the wild. Okay, there's still a rabbit.
- 54:19So there is no evidence from natural selection that it is a
- 54:23creative process to make anything new, it's dreaming.
- 54:30Okay. I kind of didn't answer the
- 54:32question. Can you name the three actual
- 54:33types of natural selection? There are three major names.
- 54:36Three types of natural selection, not going on.
- 54:39I cannot name them for me please.
- 54:41And I'll tell you what, I think of them.
- 54:43Okay, this is pretty much done by was definitely a stabilizing
- 54:46selection, directional, selection, and disruptive
- 54:49selection, are you, have you ever heard of those three terms
- 54:51before I have? What do you mean by not by
- 54:54stabilizing selection? Well, when you think it means,
- 55:00What I think nature will select, it'll stabilize the population.
- 55:05Like the sparrow example, I showed the ones up in North
- 55:08Dakota have to have a heavier body or they don't survive, the
- 55:11cold Winters up there. It's stabilized the population
- 55:14and it's still a bird. Okay, so basically stabilizing
- 55:20selection is when natural selection works against the two
- 55:26extremes of the traits and selects for the middle part of
- 55:30the traits. For example, human baby.
- 55:33Size would be actually, a great example of this because of the
- 55:35baby was too big. Then there will be compilations
- 55:39with birth and increase the risk of infant mortality and maternal
- 55:42mortality. However, if the infant was too
- 55:46small, Then it would be premature in would also have a
- 55:51greater risk of dying. So the metal Trace is selected
- 55:57for something that is kind of in the middle between the two
- 56:00extremes and you'll see where this is going.
- 56:02So, does some play along with me for a minute?
- 56:04You know what directional selection is?
- 56:07Well, let's finish one point at a time.
- 56:09The stabilizing selection. You're saying the middle-sized
- 56:11baby's probably going to survive is that going to change the baby
- 56:15into an airplane or Frogger? Mosquito or is it still going to
- 56:18be a baby? Of course not.
- 56:20Because if that happened, then Evolution would be false.
- 56:23So stop everything. I didn't and the dark.
- 56:26You're not gonna loosen. His evolution is false.
- 56:28Okay. It didn't happen stabilizing
- 56:31selection. Any kind of selection is only
- 56:33going to select something that's available.
- 56:36You're not explaining how the baby's got there to begin with
- 56:39and certainly that's not going to create anything new.
- 56:42It's still a baby it might be that the certain size too big
- 56:46ones, the mother Eyes, can't give birth to it.
- 56:47So the mother died. Okay.
- 56:49That's true. Probably we're never going to
- 56:51have humans. Born that are 40 pounds at
- 56:53Birth. I'd be willing to bet.
- 56:54There's a limit every mother of course.
- 56:56That's right. Of course, because there would
- 56:58be selected against for the reasons that I mentioned earlier
- 57:02and just have you, follow me along and you'll see where this
- 57:05is all going. You know what, directional
- 57:07selection is It's obvious, you're reading a script here.
- 57:12We should go slowly and clearly enunciate and articulate
- 57:16directional selection. Is that was that the question?
- 57:19Yes, when is directional selection.
- 57:22Well, a farmer could use directional selection where they
- 57:24select the chickens that produce more eggs or the chickens that
- 57:27have more meat that they could direct the selected to direct
- 57:30the selection process, but it's still a chicken.
- 57:34No that's not one directional selection is okay.
- 57:36Tell me what directional selection is David directional
- 57:39selection is basically when one extreme strength is selected
- 57:45against the middle and the Other Extreme.
- 57:48So for example the longer giraffe necks the longer the
- 57:53neck, they would be more capable of eating the link.
- 57:57So the extreme one is going to be selected for and that is
- 58:03what. National selection is and and I
- 58:05promise you'll see where I'm going with this.
- 58:08You know what disruptive selection is?
- 58:12Well it's finish one at a time here, directional selection.
- 58:15Are you saying that something directed The Giraffe to have
- 58:18longer necks? And yes, it basically directions
- 58:21election is when you have a selective pressure within a
- 58:25population and it works to favor one extreme over the middle and
- 58:31the Other Extreme. So, So that's basically when you
- 58:36have when you have to reach high to reach the liens, then your
- 58:43neck is going to have to be longer.
- 58:45So the drafts for the lower neck, we're going to be best
- 58:49able to survive. That's what directional
- 58:50selection is. Okay now, wait a minute.
- 58:53David, how does this help the baby giraffes?
- 58:57Because the ones with the big leagues around some.
- 58:59I mean, come on. Now, obviously the ones in the
- 59:03bay. A giraffe's vlogger, go next and
- 59:06are going to be able to be better now now.
- 59:10Wait wait wait, but only the long neck giraffe can reach the
- 59:13tree. Leaves the baby's, got to be 17
- 59:16feet tall when he's born then or drink milk for a while but after
- 59:19that he's in trouble. Now David I know if you know
- 59:22this or not but giraffes drafts, not only have a long neck, they
- 59:26have long legs. Okay.
- 59:28They have a long neck so they can reach the David.
- 59:31They have a long neck so they can reach the ground.
- 59:34Not the tree, but can't get a drink without that long neck.
- 59:40Okay. And you'll see where this is
- 59:42going. I promise.
- 59:44Have you ever heard of disruptive?
- 59:45Selection know what? This this electric?
- 59:49What I said, disruptive disruptive.
- 59:52Okay disruptive. Have you ever heard that term
- 59:55disruptive selection disruptive? Just no, no, I haven't heard
- 59:58that before. It's a new one.
- 59:59Go ahead. Just never heard, disruptive
- 1:00:01selection. You never heard that before.
- 1:00:04Well, David, I'm gonna I'm gonna jump in here because there are
- 1:00:07quite a few people in the chat saying, you know, that this is a
- 1:00:10Debate and not a pop quiz. So my because we have you know,
- 1:00:14just 5 to 10 minutes left on the discussion David.
- 1:00:17Let's let's really try and discuss coming to brother just
- 1:00:22kind of more. So get to the point.
- 1:00:23So we can discuss it because I do want to ask him a couple
- 1:00:32questions here and I promise you'll see where this is going.
- 1:00:36So disruptive selection is basically selection was working
- 1:00:39in favor. That you extremes and against
- 1:00:42the enemy alien scream. So for example if you had an
- 1:00:46area with black and white gray bunnies, you might have
- 1:00:50something derivative but I'll just move past that.
- 1:00:54Have you ever heard the term? Hardy-weinberg equilibrium?
- 1:00:59I didn't understand a word of that.
- 1:01:01Yeah, yeah. But I don't even understand that
- 1:01:03one. Have you ever have you ever
- 1:01:05heard of the hardy-weinberg equilibrium hardy-weinberg
- 1:01:09equilibrium? ERM I've heard of that but tell
- 1:01:11me how this ties in with Evolution.
- 1:01:12All we see is variations happen. I agree.
- 1:01:16But it doesn't create anything new, the disruptive selection,
- 1:01:19the director of selection is stabilizing selection.
- 1:01:22It's not creating anything David.
- 1:01:25It's selecting. How on Earth is that going to
- 1:01:28change a banana into a whale? Or why do you think a banana and
- 1:01:32a whale have a common ancestor? You think those processes you
- 1:01:35mentioned are going to cause that.
- 1:01:38Of course not because if a banana gave birth, she will
- 1:01:41wailed and evolution will be falsified.
- 1:01:43Do you not understand that? Can you at least understand that
- 1:01:46if banana gave birth to a whale than evolution is false?
- 1:01:51Come on, man. Even preaching this stuff.
- 1:01:53Since before I was born David, I showed you a chart.
- 1:01:57I'll show you again. You guys believe a banana and a
- 1:02:01whale. Have a common ancestor.
- 1:02:03Don't you David? Yes.
- 1:02:05Or no. Does a whale, and a banana have
- 1:02:07a common. If we go back millions billions
- 1:02:09trillions of years. Yes, okay, that's know.
- 1:02:15Okay. I mean it's not as dumb and say
- 1:02:17humans coming from dirt, that was poofed into existence by
- 1:02:20God, hold it. I think God can take the dirt
- 1:02:26and make a human. I think man can take the metal
- 1:02:30out of the ground and make a car.
- 1:02:32That's pretty cool. I don't think the dirt can make
- 1:02:34a man by itself. I don't think the iron ore can
- 1:02:37make a car by itself. You guys want to leave the God
- 1:02:41out of the equation badly and I think I know why.
- 1:02:43But Firm a God to take dirt and make a man that's that's
- 1:02:48reasonable. I don't understand how but it's
- 1:02:51much more reasonable than saying the dirt made the manned by
- 1:02:53itself which is what you believe and you believe the dirt came
- 1:02:56from a DOT of nothing. Exploding.
- 1:02:59Hello. Is anybody home up there?
- 1:03:03Yes. God can create out of nothing.
- 1:03:06God can take dirt and make man. God could make a snake talk.
- 1:03:11If he wants to. God can make an idiot, talk.
- 1:03:14Go to your local University. It happens all day long.
- 1:03:19All right, but don't think David.
- 1:03:21Thank you for answering my question for the record.
- 1:03:24You officially believe a whale and a banana have a common
- 1:03:28ancestor, don't you? Yes.
- 1:03:31Now, okay, once again, I just want to try and correct your
- 1:03:35misunderstanding of evolution. Once again, Evolution has
- 1:03:38nothing to do with the big bang, they're completely unrelated.
- 1:03:41The Big Bang Theory can be false and the theory of evolution can
- 1:03:44be true. Come on man.
- 1:03:45You should know that by now. And once again, Get it over
- 1:03:50time. Could be true in the Big Bang
- 1:03:54could be false. What is evolving?
- 1:03:57You don't have a complete theory.
- 1:03:59If I said the guys walking across the desert and he found a
- 1:04:02car and drove home, you missing a big part of the story.
- 1:04:05How did the car get there? How did the dirt get there to
- 1:04:07evolve? How did life get started?
- 1:04:10I give the six different stages of evolution.
- 1:04:12You guys hated, I know because it pokes, you, right?
- 1:04:14Smack in the eye and shows the stupidity of your religion.
- 1:04:17What? Evolved.
- 1:04:19How did the banana and the whales common ancestor?
- 1:04:22Whatever that look like Howard, where did it come from?
- 1:04:27All right, so lots of stuff here.
- 1:04:29Once again, Evolution has nothing to do with the origins
- 1:04:32of life. This is completely unrelated.
- 1:04:35There are many great Christian Scientists who believe that God
- 1:04:37exists and that he created life and that evolution is a process
- 1:04:41by which we created. Biodiversity evolution is not a
- 1:04:46religion, Evolution has nothing to do with the origins of Cosmos
- 1:04:49nothing to do with chemical Evolution.
- 1:04:51Nothing to do with any of that. And I really wish you would stop
- 1:04:55preaching that. Because you've been corrected
- 1:04:58when this by literally, every single person you've ever
- 1:05:00defeated. Literally, you have to know by
- 1:05:04now that those two things are unrelated to each other.
- 1:05:07Now they won't that look before you go to 18 one Topic at a time
- 1:05:12I have a giant collection of public school, science
- 1:05:16textbooks, I taught 15 years, Science, Biology or science,
- 1:05:19physical science, I'll debate you on those.
- 1:05:21If you'd like your biology major, there is no evidence at
- 1:05:25all of any Of any animal ever producing a different kind of
- 1:05:29animal. But whatever that ancestor
- 1:05:31between the banana and the whale was, and here's the chart, they
- 1:05:33short, right? On the chart, you trace him
- 1:05:36down, banana and dinosaur and whale have a common ancestor
- 1:05:39somewhere. Along the line.
- 1:05:41Somebody produced a baby that was not the same as itself.
- 1:05:46And yet it never happens. Today we never see cows British
- 1:05:49non cows but you believe something whatever that look
- 1:05:52like producer banana and a whale.
- 1:05:54Somebody had a baby that wasn't like itself.
- 1:05:56David how can you not see it? Okay once again you have no
- 1:06:01understanding whatsoever of evolution this is not what
- 1:06:04evolution says this is not one time.
- 1:06:06Anyone says that all and you weren't a high school teacher
- 1:06:09for 15 years, you are creating from accelerated, Christian
- 1:06:12education, and giving high schoolers workbooks.
- 1:06:14That's not teaching. Teaching High School science.
- 1:06:16So you're simply Ronnie Ronnie, Ronnie moderate here.
- 1:06:19One Topic at a time, none of this slapping run.
- 1:06:23Okay, I taught High School science and Christian schools
- 1:06:26for 15 years for one year. Two years, I taught out of the
- 1:06:29accelerated. Christian education are the
- 1:06:31times. We used all kinds of different
- 1:06:32biology textbooks. I have a giant collection of
- 1:06:35them. There is no evidence from
- 1:06:37biology that any animal has ever produced.
- 1:06:40A different kind of animal. This chart right here from, I
- 1:06:43don't have the name of the book. I think it's hope biology shows
- 1:06:45that something came alive origin of Life at the bottom in the
- 1:06:49middle and it somehow produced an octopus a squid.
- 1:06:52A sponge a shark. We go up the chart and It
- 1:06:56produced a human and a bear. Do you believe all living things
- 1:07:01on Earth today? Came from a common ancestor,
- 1:07:04David? Yes, or no?
- 1:07:06Yes. Okay.
- 1:07:07Where is the evidence of any animal producing something.
- 1:07:11Other than what, every four-year-old would consider the
- 1:07:13same kind. Because I think you would agree
- 1:07:15a banana and a whale or not the same kind of life-form, but you
- 1:07:18said they have a common ancestor, what?
- 1:07:20And that ancestor look like and how did it?
- 1:07:22Change to with both of those different kinds.
- 1:07:24But once again, hence, I will let me explain kind of like, how
- 1:07:29if I can Clump my damages here second because I think this will
- 1:07:40be good for you to understand. You didn't even one second.
- 1:07:50Are you trying to put slides up David?
- 1:07:51Because you know, with only a couple minutes here, I'd prefer
- 1:07:55you just to kind of make an argument.
- 1:07:57Sure. So basically it works similar to
- 1:08:00the way that the evolution of language works and that's little
- 1:08:04bit over time just as if I could just hear this real quick, are
- 1:08:14you comparing Say? Yeah.
- 1:08:16I'm So comparing the evolution of language with the evolution
- 1:08:20of life on Earth and you can kind of see this with this
- 1:08:23charts right here and how the West Germanic languages
- 1:08:26eventually became English and so forth.
- 1:08:29And old Gaucho all coming from common ancestors slowly but
- 1:08:33surely micro steps. We could Old English to today
- 1:08:40and it's the same way with biological evolution micro
- 1:08:45changes over. Long periods of time, lead to
- 1:08:49big changes and this is something that I don't
- 1:08:53understand. I don't I definitely do not know
- 1:08:55why you cannot grasp that Mr. Hovind.
- 1:08:57Okay, let me jump in real quick and one Topic at a time, let me
- 1:09:02address that David David. The evolution of language has
- 1:09:07involved a lot of intelligent input people speak, those
- 1:09:11languages. This is not natural selection,
- 1:09:14this is not artificial select this is Intelligent people
- 1:09:17deciding to use the same word and a lot of our English words
- 1:09:20come from German some come from Spanish.
- 1:09:23I understand but there's a mixture but all of the Just the
- 1:09:26language itself was designed and is pretty complicated it's a
- 1:09:30code different sounds make different impressions in.
- 1:09:33Somebody bringing when I say cow I just made several syllables
- 1:09:37you know see are several word letter C 0 W, cow that puts a
- 1:09:40picture in your mind. We all know what it means or if
- 1:09:42you speak English. So all we've ever seen is
- 1:09:46intelligent input to make these variations to compare that to a
- 1:09:50biological evolution is ludicrous.
- 1:09:54But that's, that's literally exactly what happens.
- 1:09:59Micro changes over long periods of time eventually gets large
- 1:10:04changes. I mean, we both seem to agree
- 1:10:07then some various cat kind shares a common ancestor with
- 1:10:11each other. So you can see over time, how
- 1:10:17this happens, I'm generally David, I want at one point in
- 1:10:21time we do see micro changes. Yesi micro changes.
- 1:10:26There's a lot of cats but you want me to believe the cat and
- 1:10:29the and the banana have a common ancestor.
- 1:10:32Where is the evidence for that these charts show.
- 1:10:35Let me see, is the cat on there. Yep, cat and banana have a
- 1:10:39common ancestor. What did this assets to look
- 1:10:42like? And where is the evidence of it
- 1:10:44happening today? It can only happen in your
- 1:10:47religion long ago and far away. Where's the science is?
- 1:10:51What we can see David. Where's any animal producing?
- 1:10:53A different kind of animal. So we have observed speciation
- 1:10:58quite often, we see this all the time and this is basically once
- 1:11:02you would accept this one, kind changing into another kind
- 1:11:05speciation is what I'm events. When one species becomes the new
- 1:11:09species tend? Since you agreed that speciation
- 1:11:12happens. And you'll see where this is
- 1:11:13going. Can you tell me what?
- 1:11:15Allopatric speciation is? Well, here we go with the cores
- 1:11:18are going species. Have certainly happens.
- 1:11:21Okay, I agree. We now have varieties of dogs
- 1:11:24varieties of cats. I'm still sticking you to the
- 1:11:26question, though. Where is the evidence of
- 1:11:28anything happening that? Anybody would consider a
- 1:11:30different kind? There's all kinds of.
- 1:11:34There's no solid definition of species, either, by the way,
- 1:11:38only see, SIV, becoming HIV. That's a completely new type of
- 1:11:41virus. That's literally A New Kind
- 1:11:44coming into an unkind, right as I become.
- 1:11:47Is it still a virus and wouldn't have listened?
- 1:11:52Wouldn't allow it to be anything else other than a virus I mean
- 1:11:54if it really do, you got it? It won't allow it to become
- 1:12:01anything but a virus. Yeah, that's positive.
- 1:12:04All of my father. Finally, that's called The Law
- 1:12:06of monophyly and I just and you know this by now you have been
- 1:12:09corrected on this by literally every person who ever debated
- 1:12:12you this is where I've been I've been correctly David I wasn't
- 1:12:17wrong. I wasn't corrected.
- 1:12:18Cows produce cows. Dogs for his dogs.
- 1:12:20I agree. Yes you believe dogs and cows
- 1:12:22have a common ancestor, don't you?
- 1:12:24David it calls for using a non vult would violate Evolution
- 1:12:28ball is produced. I'm not involved with literally
- 1:12:30violates the law of monophyly. You know that tense.
- 1:12:34You're lying. David.
- 1:12:35Look at my chart here. We have at the bottom of this
- 1:12:38chart used in the public school. Textbooks, a single-celled
- 1:12:41creature. Let's call it an amoeba.
- 1:12:43Okay, did that amoeba somehow turn into a mushroom on this
- 1:12:49chart. Read it in.
- 1:12:51Where's the evidence of an amoeba producing anything?
- 1:12:53Besides an amoeba your chart shows.
- 1:12:57The amoeba turned into a pine tree.
- 1:12:59A shark mushroom. Let's see.
- 1:13:02All kinds of stuff. So did this amoeba turn into a
- 1:13:07dinosaur? According to the Chart, there's
- 1:13:08dinosaurs on there. Where's the evidence of an
- 1:13:11amoeba ever producing anything other than an amoeba?
- 1:13:15I mean, can you do in the laboratory, get the amiibo to
- 1:13:17turn into anything besides amoeba in a laboratory.
- 1:13:20You can use all the selection you want directional, selection,
- 1:13:22disruptive, selection, stabilizing selection.
- 1:13:25Use all the ones you want. Turn the amoeba into anything,
- 1:13:28enter into anything. Not amoeba.
- 1:13:31Can you do that? Many scientists do that?
- 1:13:34Can at that words, as they happened in evolution is false.
- 1:13:36A trident - come on, man. You know this by now, come on,
- 1:13:39man. It does someone Actually, he's
- 1:13:51asking for an example of like single cell to multi-celled
- 1:13:55Evolution. You know, do you have a response
- 1:13:59to that before we wrap it up here on the discussion, I just
- 1:14:02want to make sure, you know, we're dealing with the arguments
- 1:14:04here, not not interfere. Has anybody ever seen it happen
- 1:14:10now or do you have to imagine it happened long ago?
- 1:14:15Evidence of a single-celled creature becoming multicellular
- 1:14:19today. Where's the evidence?
- 1:14:20There's a lot of single celled creatures are out there.
- 1:14:25So regarding speciation we've seen speciation all the time.
- 1:14:30We have observed new species form.
- 1:14:32That's literally what you're asking me for.
- 1:14:34It's little David, I think he's specifically asking you for an
- 1:14:37example of a single cell to a to a multi-celled organism right
- 1:14:42track there several times. We haven't done, numerous
- 1:14:44experiments, one Nats, and my personal favorite experiments is
- 1:14:48from 2012, Radcliffe, and all used a used unicellular yeast
- 1:14:57and subjected to pressure that would involve multicellularity.
- 1:15:03And it's actually interesting what they actually found
- 1:15:08reading. Just quickly from the abstract,
- 1:15:09multicellularity was one of the most significant Innovations of
- 1:15:12the history of life. But the initial Evidence remains
- 1:15:15poorly understood. And that is true.
- 1:15:17Using experimental. Evolution.
- 1:15:18We showed that the key steps in this transition could have
- 1:15:20occurred rather quickly because sometimes the subjects you need
- 1:15:24some used to an environment in which we can do.
- 1:15:26But if we if I could just jump in there.
- 1:15:28Just because you're slightly hard to human kind of mumbling,
- 1:15:31others. And I'm understanding about 10%
- 1:15:33of this, you have your mumbling David speak clearly, stop
- 1:15:37reading, think and talk. Where is the evidence of a
- 1:15:40single-celled creature becoming multicellular not much?
- 1:15:43Locking arms together for defense against a predator.
- 1:15:46That's not a multicellular creature yet.
- 1:15:49So we have seen, is we have seen this in the lab.
- 1:15:52This is literally what we've seen with yeast.
- 1:15:55And this is let me what has been observed before.
- 1:15:58So obviously we still there's a lot of stuff to learn about the
- 1:16:05origins from the jump from multicellular and being to
- 1:16:08unicellular D there's a lot that needs to be burned but we can
- 1:16:12recreate some of this and the lab and see.
- 1:16:15Okay once steps might have been involved too Greatness David.
- 1:16:22If I could, is this the example that Kent was showing slides and
- 1:16:27images of in his opening statement is that the example
- 1:16:30that you're putting forth? No, I'm leaving.
- 1:16:33No. He was using the I think I'm
- 1:16:37using a different example. This is from yeast experimental,
- 1:16:41evolution of multicellular, complexity and East.
- 1:16:44This is from Radcliffe. They made a couple different
- 1:16:46papers one in 2012 and Another in 2014 and you can actually
- 1:16:53look at the images and you can see that developments of
- 1:16:59multicellularity. Obviously, there's a lot, we
- 1:17:01need, there's a lot that we need to learn about Evolution.
- 1:17:04There's a lot to add some. All right, we need oniy that we
- 1:17:08don't understand. Okay, there's a lot, we have to
- 1:17:18learn Right? Yes true, I agree.
- 1:17:21I agree that that's what science is all about.
- 1:17:23I love it. Studying test demonstrate, let's
- 1:17:25learn You are determined though to avoid the obvious that maybe
- 1:17:31things were designed to bring forth after their kind.
- 1:17:35You're determined to make them have a common ancestor.
- 1:17:38The fact that single-celled creatures have always and only
- 1:17:41producing goals held creature babies.
- 1:17:44That's obvious. We can see that Sylvia to say we
- 1:17:47have a lot to learn. I agree until you learn it until
- 1:17:50you can prove it, don't teach it in science in the public
- 1:17:53schools. Deep at home, that's your
- 1:17:57religion. You believe, it keep study and I
- 1:17:59hope you find the answer one day.
- 1:18:01But until you do, it's not science and it shouldn't be
- 1:18:04taught in public schools at taxpayer expense.
- 1:18:07Keep it home, okay? Bring me the proof, then I'll
- 1:18:11help you pay for it to teach it. Okay, we'll jump in gentlemen.
- 1:18:25Be something that you would expect to see anything.
- 1:18:29Well, let's take that step from single cell to multi-celled,
- 1:18:33okay, there are no to sell creatures that I'm aware of or
- 1:18:36three cell door for tell you go from single cell to like 550 or
- 1:18:40whatever. The minimum number is for a
- 1:18:42multicellular creature. Where are they?
- 1:18:44Where's the evidence of this happening?
- 1:18:47Nobody's ever seen a single-celled creature become to
- 1:18:51sell door, three celled, but in your religion, a single-celled
- 1:18:55teacher became a dinosaur. So I'm putting the link in the
- 1:19:02private chat at the papers that I'm citing regarding the
- 1:19:04multicellular yeast and it is a couple papers from 2015 and 2014
- 1:19:13where we actually have done these experiments and show
- 1:19:15exactly. Now, obviously, once again, snow
- 1:19:19some things that we go to understand, but the principles
- 1:19:23of common ancestry is pretty well understood.
- 1:19:28So And speaking of words is an absolute fact.
- 1:19:36I mean if I can share my screen real quick well David because
- 1:19:44you know the discussion has ended probably about five
- 1:19:46minutes ago if you want to just really quickly.
- 1:19:48Make one final argument. Just since today you are in the
- 1:19:51affirmative of evolution, will allow a dr.
- 1:19:54Holden to address it. Go ahead okay, so once again, I
- 1:20:02wouldn't really have nice legs to understand like, once when
- 1:20:06you accepted a as one kind turning into another kind, what
- 1:20:10when you actually accept I would accept observable scientific,
- 1:20:17evidence, talk to a farmer on the planet that's ever raise
- 1:20:21plants or animals either one. Where is the evidence of anyone?
- 1:20:26Any show me what's the best evidence?
- 1:20:28You know, of of, let's take a chicken producing an on chicken,
- 1:20:33what's the best evidence? You know of, I think you can
- 1:20:35show me big chickens a little chickens and those that give a
- 1:20:37lot of eggs and those that give a lot of beef, a lot of meat.
- 1:20:40But where's the evidence of a non chicken?
- 1:20:42I'd like to see that. Well, let's get See that pretty
- 1:20:46well. Was it worth it?
- 1:20:47Not chicken daddy once again Mr. Hovind you're completely missing
- 1:20:53the point that I've been trying to make earlier which is the
- 1:20:55lowest monophyly if a chicken Gaper to an object and then
- 1:21:00Evolution would be falsified, I don't understand like the things
- 1:21:03that you would want to see that when confirm evolution is the
- 1:21:07stuff that I want banana seat at would disconfirm Evolution and
- 1:21:10this is why I feel like we're talking past each other.
- 1:21:16Okay, does the law say, slide number 108, does the law of
- 1:21:20monophyly? Apply to Amoeba because this one
- 1:21:24shows the me but turning into sharks.
- 1:21:29This chart shows the Me by turning into.
- 1:21:31Let's see. Humans what happened to the law
- 1:21:34of monophyly? David.
- 1:21:37I'm so once again this is that's a pretty bad charge there.
- 1:21:42What we see is plays with enclaves within clades.
- 1:21:45We do not see a way of producing a long thin, which would violate
- 1:21:51them principle or right away if I can Operations that is
- 1:22:01obviously a very bad representation and very bad
- 1:22:04breath. So I do not like whoever made
- 1:22:07that they did a pretty good job of its.
- 1:22:13This is straight from the textbook.
- 1:22:15How about this one? Let's see.
- 1:22:18This one shows horses and birds, having a common ancestor.
- 1:22:23Do you believe horses and birds have a common ancestor, David?
- 1:22:27Yes? Okay, what happened to the law
- 1:22:29of monophyly below minor? Finally, when still went
- 1:22:34through, I mean, let me see if I can, actually explain all the
- 1:22:39something that was non horse and non bird.
- 1:22:43Producer baby somewhere along the line.
- 1:22:45That was evolving toward one or the other.
- 1:22:47I'm my point is, this is never observed.
- 1:22:50It is a religious belief, I believe you have one of the
- 1:22:53dumbest religions in the world but you're welcome to believe
- 1:22:57it. I just resent paying for it in
- 1:22:59the public schools anybody else resent paying for it in the
- 1:23:02public schools to private school and teach Evolution.
- 1:23:08We don't care but it's not science.
- 1:23:11You think a dog? I mean Horse and a bird.
- 1:23:14Have a common ancestor. You can believe that if you
- 1:23:18want, but it's not science. There's no evidence.
- 1:23:21Monophyly is true. Whatever that ancestor was could
- 1:23:25only produce whatever it was. It couldn't turn into a horse,
- 1:23:29but you think over millions of generations, it can change.
- 1:23:33From an amoeba to a horse that violates, the law of monophyly
- 1:23:38that violates all common sense and violates all biology we've
- 1:23:40ever seen. It's a belief system you, but
- 1:23:44you've been told this many times David, why don't you get it?
- 1:23:49Okay, David, let's do this because I do want to make sure
- 1:23:52that looks like David. Just dropped out.
- 1:23:54I'm not sure if it was his cutting equipment or or what?
- 1:23:58This has definitely been a memorable debate.
- 1:24:03Okay, Okay. David so actually what I was
- 1:24:07going to say before you dropped out, let's let's do this because
- 1:24:12it's been a great discussion, we do have some audience questions,
- 1:24:16there might be something you want to respond to their David.
- 1:24:19Let's do it in your closing statement though.
- 1:24:22So you get you get you know the first round here for concluding
- 1:24:25statements, you get up to five minutes so anything you want to
- 1:24:29address and your point, if you might not have, you know, make
- 1:24:33we'll do it right now, then we'll hand it to cat.
- 1:24:35Do the same thing. It was this Q&A time Donnie.
- 1:24:39Yeah. We're just going to do some real
- 1:24:41quick concluding statements from the both of you and David will
- 1:24:45start with David. So go ahead and you can share my
- 1:24:48screen while I go through it. Well, thank you once again mr.
- 1:24:51Kent, thank you standing for being a gracious host.
- 1:24:54Well, once again referred pretty much can't Heavens repeated
- 1:25:00stuff that he's been preaching. Since before I was born
- 1:25:03Evolution once again is not a religion has nothing to do with
- 1:25:05the origins of the universe. Nothing like that.
- 1:25:07It has nothing to do with anything but biological
- 1:25:11evolution which is biodiversity. Evolution is the best
- 1:25:15explanation for biodiversity. As far as monophyly there's a
- 1:25:19great website called the phylogenetic place for projects
- 1:25:23phylogeny Explorer projects and you can kind of Trace back and
- 1:25:26see exactly the steps and really how life evolved over time.
- 1:25:31I'm just going to focus on the plane coming in a which is the
- 1:25:33clay that we belonged to this plane come eventually create a
- 1:25:37small fee. To two distinct, some lineages
- 1:25:40the gorilla and then homo and pawn.
- 1:25:42That we have the homo and ponder over here.
- 1:25:45I'm just putting again in two more groups and diversifying and
- 1:25:50we can see exactly what happens over here.
- 1:25:53And these are Income small incremental changes over time,
- 1:25:57that means to a branching diverse pattern.
- 1:25:59And this is what we see. Once again, there's no such
- 1:26:03thing as one kind of animal changing into something that is
- 1:26:07a fundamentally different kind of animal and throughout these
- 1:26:11micro steps in microevolution, Cindy's fault.
- 1:26:14Changes over time, they can Branch off into different
- 1:26:16languages and these different languages Branch off and become
- 1:26:19big roast and distinct within their own group.
- 1:26:22And this is how eventually we see two distinct organisms, that
- 1:26:26look nothing alike. Even though they share a common
- 1:26:29ancestor you can follow. You can go trigger phylogeny
- 1:26:32eggs or projects and Trace the evolution of pretty much any
- 1:26:35species you want. And if So you let me see is a
- 1:26:38Dream Within the clade with into played and then it's something
- 1:26:41that I don't think mr. Kent open seems to understand or
- 1:26:44if you wanted, or if he even Wilson to understand.
- 1:26:49I find it very interesting that while I was talking again,
- 1:26:52hoping to bounce various types of natural selection.
- 1:26:57He was not able to really explain something that is taught
- 1:27:03in her semester undergrad. Bio.
- 1:27:07At the three types of natural selection.
- 1:27:09I mean, come on. Can't you been preaching this
- 1:27:10stuff since before? I was born.
- 1:27:13I mean, you have to know by now that's Evolution.
- 1:27:15Does not say I'm kind of coming into another kind.
- 1:27:19You still haven't Beyond example, if you want for just to
- 1:27:23help me into something ridiculous.
- 1:27:25You know that Evolution would not permit.
- 1:27:28So weíll given birth to a pine tree, but you see these things
- 1:27:32to make Evolution look ridiculous.
- 1:27:33This is a strong man. This is Ally and I think you
- 1:27:38know this by now and you should you should stop lying here and
- 1:27:41Global audience. I mean, I'm sorry there's no
- 1:27:43nice way of putting it, you're simply deliberately missing from
- 1:27:50your audience from willfully saying that your willfully
- 1:27:54saying, things that simply cannot happen and it's literally
- 1:28:02your simply raising your same old stuff.
- 1:28:06You're waiting for your cue Excuse me.
- 1:28:07Everything from this curves. Can't you been reading from the
- 1:28:10same script since before I was born.
- 1:28:13So that's I will close off the Mike and I would like to invite
- 1:28:18official. I have an application.
- 1:28:22Where my channel everyone is. Welcome to enjoy.
- 1:28:25All right, just on time. That was your 5-minute
- 1:28:28concluding statement? We're going to hand it over to
- 1:28:30cacked. Can't you also have five minutes
- 1:28:32for a concluding statement. Go ahead, the floor is yours.
- 1:28:36Well David the reason I haven't changed things just saying
- 1:28:39things since before you were born is because it's true.
- 1:28:41Truth doesn't change two. Plus two is four long before I
- 1:28:45was born also and the God said long before any of us were born
- 1:28:50the animals and plants would bring forth after their kind 20.
- 1:28:55In the first seven chapters of the Book of Genesis.
- 1:28:58That's what it says. Charlie Darwin came along and
- 1:29:01said oh the Origin of Species made up.
- 1:29:03This word not been makeup, the word species but God said their
- 1:29:06bring forth after their kind. I will stick my my stuff.
- 1:29:09There are six different meanings to the word Evolution.
- 1:29:12You guys try to hide that, but it's absolutely simple and true.
- 1:29:15Only number six is really science.
- 1:29:18The first five are religious, you believe in them, you may
- 1:29:21believe in him very strongly and I think you do, and I think I
- 1:29:24know why. But microevolution is a lousy
- 1:29:27term. We shouldn't call it that we
- 1:29:28should call it variation within the kind of give the examples of
- 1:29:32micro evolution by natural selection like The Sparrows.
- 1:29:35Okay. I agree.
- 1:29:37There's a variety of sparrow. Let's see.
- 1:29:39But you said in your closing just now Evolution does not say
- 1:29:45that one kind of animal turns into another kind David.
- 1:29:49You are either confused or deliberately lying this chart
- 1:29:53shows an amoeba turning into A dinosaur and a human.
- 1:29:57Yes, you do believe somewhere along the line, the law of
- 1:30:01monophyly was broken about 45 trillion times to change an
- 1:30:06amoeba to a dinosaur. You do believe things, change
- 1:30:10into something else. You believe a dinosaur and a
- 1:30:13frog, have a common ancestor with a mosquito.
- 1:30:17This is what you believe and I don't mind that you believe that
- 1:30:20that's fine. But my point is, is always been
- 1:30:23the same. That's not science.
- 1:30:26There are probably 20 different varieties of kangaroos.
- 1:30:29They might had a common ancestor, but these guys,
- 1:30:32somebody drew lines on paper here showing the horse and the
- 1:30:36bird and the rabbit all going back to a single common
- 1:30:40ancestor, you drew lines on paper just a minute ago David to
- 1:30:44show. This is not Evolution showing
- 1:30:46that homo turned into the different types of apes and
- 1:30:51humans you just drew lines on paper.
- 1:30:54That's not science. Monkeys are having babies today.
- 1:30:58Let's see, a non monkey come out of this Union.
- 1:31:00Humans are having babies today. Where is he example anywhere of
- 1:31:05non-human being born to humans? Where is the example of an
- 1:31:09amoeba producing? A non amoeba.
- 1:31:11I stand by my ground, the Bible is absolutely correct about the
- 1:31:15creation. God made all the plants and all
- 1:31:19the animals to bring forth after their kind guy.
- 1:31:22Just like he said, and the Bible is absolutely Lutely true.
- 1:31:27God destroyed this world with a flood and the Bible is true.
- 1:31:30There's going to be a final judgment one day.
- 1:31:33Second Peter chapter 3, says the scoffers and I'll put you in
- 1:31:36that category, David. The scoffers are willingly
- 1:31:39ignorant of the creation, the flood, and the coming judgement
- 1:31:43of God, David, you're going to stand before.
- 1:31:46God one day whether you like it or not, whether you believe it
- 1:31:49or not, and he's going to judge you.
- 1:31:52By his book, not by your rules by his rules.
- 1:31:55He's the Creator. He made it, he owns it, he can
- 1:31:57make any rules. He want.
- 1:31:59If you have a piece of property where you live that you own your
- 1:32:01house, you can make any rule you want on that property, you can
- 1:32:04say, don't come in here on my property with alcohol or drugs
- 1:32:07or something. Okay, it's your house.
- 1:32:08You can make those rules. California can make rules don't
- 1:32:11come into our state, unless you do this, God can make rules.
- 1:32:15You can't come into my heaven, unless you have all your sins
- 1:32:18forgiven. The only way to do that soon the
- 1:32:21blood of Jesus Christ. I did that 53 years ago.
- 1:32:23I said Lord, I'm a sinner. I'd like you to forgive me and
- 1:32:25save me. My sins are gone.
- 1:32:27Praise God. I'm going to heaven and is not
- 1:32:29because I'm good because of what Jesus did for me.
- 1:32:33God said, they'll bring forth after their kind.
- 1:32:35That's all that's ever happened. God said he's going to judge the
- 1:32:38world again. It's coming David.
- 1:32:40I'd like to see you come to Heaven.
- 1:32:41I really would but you got to get your sins forgiven.
- 1:32:44You're in trouble, the way you're going, you're in real
- 1:32:46serious trouble. And so, anyway, call me 855 big
- 1:32:49Dino, extension three. I take calls all day long and
- 1:32:51half the night. I'll be glad to talk with you.
- 1:32:54If you want to say brother hovind, don't call me brother,
- 1:32:56yet. He's in Kent hovind.
- 1:32:58I don't want this public. Okay, I'll keep it private, I
- 1:33:00have atheist, call me all the time, and I keep it private
- 1:33:02until they say you can go public now.
- 1:33:04Tell him. Okay.
- 1:33:06But David, you're willingly. Ignorant.
- 1:33:08Second, Peter 3, read, that passage of write.
- 1:33:10Your name in the margin, you're ignorant of the Ian, you're
- 1:33:13ignorant of the flood and you're ignorant of the coming, Judgment
- 1:33:15of God, can hit you like a freight train.
- 1:33:17Okay, that's it. Thank you.
- 1:33:19All right, just on sign, and that concludes the five minutes
- 1:33:27including statements, guys. Fantastic debate Time Has Fallen
- 1:33:30by the audience has had a great time.
- 1:33:33We've got almost 300 people in the chat, still with hey, ton of
- 1:33:37questions and support lots of support.
- 1:33:39So gentlemen, dr. Dino and David Thanks for
- 1:33:42keeping it fun. Let's get through a few of these
- 1:33:45questions before we call it a night as we always do on this
- 1:33:50channel, whoever the question is for gets the last word in that
- 1:33:53way, we can move along smoothly, there are two after shows.
- 1:33:57So one on David's Channel David you can link it if you'd like to
- 1:34:02and then another one on a logical plausible probables
- 1:34:05channel. So the after shows will kick off
- 1:34:08as soon as this debate is over. Okay, let's go all the way back
- 1:34:11to the beginning. Here with the first question
- 1:34:15that came in this one came in from redefined living and
- 1:34:19gentlemen, what I'll do is put them in the chat and show them
- 1:34:23on screen to help you guys. So this one is on-screen, David
- 1:34:27looks like it is for you from redefined living.
- 1:34:30He says, question for David. Can you show that in doggedness,
- 1:34:35retroviruses E, RVs originated outside of a hose?
- 1:34:40Well, viruses for well mine. This is for by definition when
- 1:34:44it originated outside of the host and then insert itself in
- 1:34:48viruses have to insert itself into a cell in order to
- 1:34:54reproduce. So by definition, a virus would
- 1:34:59have to originate outside the host and I'm standing, can you
- 1:35:03mom put a link to my after-show and then chats?
- 1:35:06Absolutely. Oh yeah, I see it here.
- 1:35:08Yeah. So I'll put a link to your
- 1:35:10after-show and then John In the chat, you can link your
- 1:35:13after-show as well to be fair. So I appreciate the response
- 1:35:16there David and I can't anything you wanted to add to that.
- 1:35:20Well, endogenous retrovirus or any kind of complex organism,
- 1:35:25nobody can show how it originated inside, or outside of
- 1:35:29a host. No can't be done.
- 1:35:32Okay, and David quick, final word before we get on, to the
- 1:35:35next question, just move on to the next question.
- 1:35:40Okay, so next question comes in from, and I'll put it up on
- 1:35:43screen from jobbing question for he says, Andrew.
- 1:35:47But I believe that's you there. David.
- 1:35:49So, he says, how does the virus SIV changing to HIV?
- 1:35:55Prove? Macro-evolution aren't both of
- 1:35:58those still a kind of virus. Both of them are still kind of
- 1:36:04virus boots. It's a brand new type of virus
- 1:36:07that is literally the definition of macro-evolution and I just
- 1:36:11don't understand why creationists do not understand
- 1:36:13this if a virus became a human, then Evolution would be
- 1:36:17falsified. I just for the life of me, I
- 1:36:19don't understand why creationists understand
- 1:36:22monophyly. Okay, thank you for the answer
- 1:36:26there. David will hand it over to you.
- 1:36:29That if you have anything you wanted to add, well, he's on us,
- 1:36:32he doesn't understand that's for sure.
- 1:36:35He doesn't understand how it can we, it didn't happen.
- 1:36:38Okay, what does this question is correct changing from a virus to
- 1:36:43a virus? Is still a virus that that's not
- 1:36:46going to become anything. That's not evidence for
- 1:36:48evolution in their mind. It is though.
- 1:36:50Wow, look at this, brand-new kind of virus, it's still a
- 1:36:52virus guys. It might be resistant to certain
- 1:36:55And things that we do to try to kill it but it's still a virus.
- 1:37:00I bet if you went around and SWAT it all the bugs and the
- 1:37:02bugs were the harder shell survived, pretty soon.
- 1:37:05You have a population of hard shell bugs because they can
- 1:37:07survive. Get a bigger Hammer, not almost
- 1:37:09survive. All right, I appreciate that.
- 1:37:14That respond to dr. Hovind.
- 1:37:15David question was for you, get the final word.
- 1:37:18That's me one. Okay, I appreciate it.
- 1:37:21Next question, here comes from Jackson row.
- 1:37:24So Kent and Jackson, just finished a debate Trilogy.
- 1:37:28As a matter of fact, so rho is asking you Kent.
- 1:37:31How do you explain all of the whale transitional fossils?
- 1:37:37Well, Jackson, there are no transitional fossils there are
- 1:37:42fossils. You may choose to put them in
- 1:37:44some kind of order. I could put the rocks in my
- 1:37:47driveway in some kind of order. That doesn't prove anything when
- 1:37:50you find a fossil, all, you know, is it died.
- 1:37:55You cannot prove it had any children at all.
- 1:37:58You certainly could not prove ahead different children.
- 1:38:00No animal today is capable of producing Offspring other than
- 1:38:04its same kind. And yet you wish to believe
- 1:38:06Leave that that bone in the dirt can do something that no animals
- 1:38:09today can do. So my stand is, there is no such
- 1:38:13thing as a fossil record. There is no such thing as a
- 1:38:16geologic. Column you guys wish to believe
- 1:38:19and teach that all the layers of the Earth are different ages
- 1:38:23without stopping and thinking, how stupid that is.
- 1:38:25If the top layer is younger, where's it coming?
- 1:38:28From? Outer Space.
- 1:38:30If you move a layer in different order, they're still the same
- 1:38:33age. Shuffling a deck of cards does
- 1:38:35not change the age. The cards there is no such thing
- 1:38:39as a fossil record. There is no such thing as a
- 1:38:42geologic column there are layers to the earth.
- 1:38:44I live in a gravel pit. We got a bunch of them right
- 1:38:46here. I taught her science, 15 years.
- 1:38:48I'll debate any of you on that. There is no such thing as a
- 1:38:52geologic column. All the layers are the same age
- 1:38:55whether it's 6,000 or Six Trillion, they're all the same
- 1:38:57age. So there are no whale
- 1:39:00Transitions and why does it happen?
- 1:39:02Jackson long ago and far away where we can't see it whales.
- 1:39:06Are still having babies today. Let's see.
- 1:39:10A transition today. Same thing for you David it only
- 1:39:13takes place in the imagination, long ago and far away.
- 1:39:17Evolution is a fairy tale for grown-ups.
- 1:39:20Let's go ahead. All right.
- 1:39:22Thank you for that response. Their cat.
- 1:39:24Thank you for the question Jackson.
- 1:39:26David will hand it over to you. If you had anything you wanted
- 1:39:28to add any point you wanted to make, stop lying.
- 1:39:35Alright and we'll hand it back to camp for a final word on that
- 1:39:38one. David?
- 1:39:40Are you saying I'm lying about the geologic column and the
- 1:39:43transitional fossils. Show me why any honest court of
- 1:39:46law? Any fossil would count.
- 1:39:48Where did I lie? David just to call me a liar and
- 1:39:50slapping run your you should be thankful, I'm saved.
- 1:39:53Okay, go ahead then went to the next wasn't even lovely
- 1:39:58corrected on this by so many people time and time again.
- 1:40:03Keep On Moving. Well it was can't question.
- 1:40:08So can't have the final word there.
- 1:40:11No, no, I'm saying there are no whale transitions.
- 1:40:13There is no fossil record. There is no geologic.
- 1:40:14Column Jackson I'll debate you again on that if you like I
- 1:40:19appreciate it. Alright, next question comes in
- 1:40:21from God TV radio live podcast Radio by Brett Keen.
- 1:40:25Question for David, got it up on screen.
- 1:40:28He says ask David where pain receptors came from and why
- 1:40:32please also why do we have met? Males and females why did this
- 1:40:36happen? So we're pain receptors come
- 1:40:39from. I don't know.
- 1:40:41Right off the top of my head I'll have to do some research on
- 1:40:44that. Though pain receptors are very
- 1:40:47important and organisms and not having the ability to feel pain
- 1:40:54would be very detrimental to the organism.
- 1:40:59Because pain tells us that something's wrong with our body.
- 1:41:03If you don't know that there's something wrong, Then that'll be
- 1:41:07bad. So as far as male and females,
- 1:41:12that will be a subject for a video coming up.
- 1:41:18All right. Over to you, dr.
- 1:41:20Hoffman, anything you wanted to add?
- 1:41:21Well, it was a very excellent question.
- 1:41:23If you have a complex organism that is not capable of feeling.
- 1:41:27The pain is probably going to die.
- 1:41:30So which came first the complexity of the organism or
- 1:41:33the ability to feel the pain and respond to it.
- 1:41:35You got more than just you know, something's poking me.
- 1:41:38Oh wow I feel pain. Something's poking.
- 1:41:40We have a reflex. There is an extremely complex,
- 1:41:44very amazingly designed system of T-Pain and responding to it
- 1:41:49and get and healing system as another whole level in there.
- 1:41:53So just to evolve an animal is one step that they can't explain
- 1:41:58but then this animal is capable of Reason feeling pain and
- 1:42:01responding to it and healing if it gets injured Way.
- 1:42:04Beyond complex, I do how they can't get it David.
- 1:42:07You've had to explain to you how many times you don't get it.
- 1:42:09I know, but go ahead. All right, David over to you.
- 1:42:13Question was for you get the last word.
- 1:42:16So this is the irreducible the irreducible complexity or
- 1:42:19arguments. Unfortunately.
- 1:42:21Very disciplined complexity has been falsified.
- 1:42:23We have observed, irreducible complexity, traits evolve, such
- 1:42:27as what I've presented with HIV complexity can evolve even
- 1:42:33stuff. That wouldn't be qualified as
- 1:42:34irreducible complexity. So next question, all right.
- 1:42:41I think it is wrong to part of that one Donnie.
- 1:42:46Sure. Am I on guys wanted to continue
- 1:42:47that one. Bit what it do as far as the
- 1:42:49male and female. I think it was designed that
- 1:42:51way. I think a great job, wonderful
- 1:42:53job. I enjoy it.
- 1:42:54Thank you. I appreciate the response is
- 1:42:59guys. And let me see here, looking
- 1:43:02through the questions here. And next one that I'll put up on
- 1:43:05screen for you gentlemen. Here comes in from George Bond,
- 1:43:09George. I appreciate the question.
- 1:43:11This one is for Neff David Neff. How did Luca last Universal
- 1:43:17common ancestry ancestor? I should say, give rise to three
- 1:43:21different domains of life. If the law of monophyly is not
- 1:43:25contradicted. So look up would probably have
- 1:43:31been something that would be in before the free domains of life.
- 1:43:36That is something that I have not studied though I am working
- 1:43:41on a video series when evolutionary biology so that
- 1:43:43will be a subject of one of my videos.
- 1:43:46So subscribe to my channel. Hit the Bell notification down
- 1:43:49below. I have a whole series of
- 1:43:51evolutionary biology and the works.
- 1:43:54You definitely don't want to miss that.
- 1:43:58All right. Thanks for the answer over to
- 1:43:59you Kent. I think it's a great question.
- 1:44:02I don't think it can be explained, like he said, the law
- 1:44:05of monophyly is everything brings forth after its kind.
- 1:44:09That's another way of saying what God already said. 20 times.
- 1:44:12It is contradicted by their Theory.
- 1:44:14The theory of evolution completely contradicts the law
- 1:44:16of monophyly by having everything related to a common
- 1:44:19ancestor. Not common sense, not
- 1:44:22observable, certainly not science.
- 1:44:25Okay? All right.
- 1:44:27I appreciate She ate it and David question was for you.
- 1:44:29So if you want to have a quick final word on that one, go
- 1:44:31ahead. Next question.
- 1:44:34All right, so this is a Super Chat that comes in from vitória
- 1:44:37De Santi. $20 up Chad, I appreciate it.
- 1:44:40So she asks, where would the new genetic information come from to
- 1:44:45switch a banana to switch from a banana to a whale.
- 1:44:49I've already explained why that's not possible.
- 1:44:52And I've already explained why that would actually falsify
- 1:44:54Evolution. I don't understand why you guys
- 1:44:57don't understand. That's so stop lying and stop
- 1:45:01straw. Manning our position.
- 1:45:05All right. Thank you, David, dr.
- 1:45:07Robin over to you. Well, I don't see how David
- 1:45:10doesn't get it. Put the question back up, if you
- 1:45:12would There is he correct in saying, nobody teaches the
- 1:45:20banana turn to the whale, but he does believe.
- 1:45:22And he already said he thinks they have a common ancestor.
- 1:45:26So let's make up an imaginary common ancestor and call it a
- 1:45:29bail, okay? Half banana half whale the bail,
- 1:45:33somehow violated the law of monophyly, and got a whole lot
- 1:45:37of new genetic information to turn from a bail to a banana or
- 1:45:40bail to a whale. He does believe they do teach
- 1:45:44and I showed the charts. They teach all life forms have a
- 1:45:47common ancestor. So, somewhere along the line,
- 1:45:50she 2005, and we get there, who 05 somewhere along the line.
- 1:45:55New information had to be added. They never answer the question.
- 1:46:01Where's the new information coming from?
- 1:46:04We're something changed the bail to a whale.
- 1:46:07What? There's a lot of new information
- 1:46:11to go from enemy, but this one has the amoeba going to a whale.
- 1:46:13Okay? I think it's stupid but again,
- 1:46:17they're welcome to believe that, but it's not science.
- 1:46:20It's a religious belief. You have David.
- 1:46:23You should admit it. Stop pretending, stop lying and
- 1:46:26thinking it is science. It's not go ahead.
- 1:46:29I think I can't go ahead, David. So if there was a bail in the
- 1:46:34sign and a on fossil record, if there was actually a bailed and
- 1:46:37evolution would be false, we would not expect there to be a
- 1:46:40bail. I think, you know that, come on
- 1:46:43man, you know, this by now, you know, my dad would falsify a
- 1:46:47pollution, so you just need to stop lying to your Global
- 1:46:50audience. Sorry.
- 1:46:52There's just no nicer way of putting it.
- 1:46:58Sorry, I was on mute. Okay, so here's the next
- 1:47:01question comes in from Evolution fairy tale and I'm going to get
- 1:47:07up on screen here in one second. Okay, here we go.
- 1:47:10So Evolution a fairy tale question for David so he says
- 1:47:15investigation, I guess of ancient languages show they were
- 1:47:20more complex in earlier times and became simpler overtime
- 1:47:25holds for ancient Latin Greek Hebrew Chinese He's how to fit
- 1:47:29this in evolutionary theory, I don't understand the question.
- 1:47:34I don't understand how these to connect with each other
- 1:47:38Simplicity would be a sign of intelligence.
- 1:47:41So I just don't understand how that relates to Evolution.
- 1:47:46So, I mean, I understand the question.
- 1:47:51All right. I appreciate that.
- 1:47:53Can't anything you wanted to add to that?
- 1:47:55Oh yes I think the question is legitimate ancient languages
- 1:47:58were much more complex, much more variety of words to say
- 1:48:02things in the days of Shakespeare just three or four
- 1:48:04hundred years ago, the average person on the street had a
- 1:48:06working vocabulary of 20,000 words.
- 1:48:09They knew the meaning of 20,000 words, try to read some
- 1:48:13Shakespeare stuff. Okay you'll see the vocabulary
- 1:48:17was incredible that was just 400 years ago today.
- 1:48:19The average person on the street has a working.
- 1:48:21Vocabulary for 5,000 words, we have been dumbed down, think we
- 1:48:27saw an example of it tonight. So, the languages have been
- 1:48:33decreasing not increasing. There is no example of anything
- 1:48:38getting more complex, without intelligent input going into it.
- 1:48:41Not all the cars that are made. If you don't keep fixing them,
- 1:48:44they're going to break down. All the computers are going to
- 1:48:47fall apart, break down your house is going to fall if you
- 1:48:49don't keep fixing it. So, this is an example of what
- 1:48:52God Said, what happened, everything would tend toward
- 1:48:54Decay, which is what's happening?
- 1:48:56It's all going to fall apart. So yes, great, good question.
- 1:48:59Ancient languages were more complex today.
- 1:49:02The average kid on the street only has a couple words they
- 1:49:04know like duh and I don't know. Okay, go ahead.
- 1:49:08Thanks buddy. I appreciate you want to go
- 1:49:11right to the next one. No problem.
- 1:49:12So this one comes in from Logan Missy act as a five dollar Super
- 1:49:15Chat. So I got to make sure I ask it a
- 1:49:17question is for you, David? So he asks where did life come
- 1:49:20from? If you don't believe the Big
- 1:49:22Bang, what is your religion on the origin of Life?
- 1:49:25Go ahead. So I asked you do accept the Big
- 1:49:29Bang Theory, as the theory of the development of the universe
- 1:49:35once again. That's completely irrelevant to
- 1:49:38evolutionary biology as far as the emergence of like a
- 1:49:41biogenesis that is far too complex for a 30-second answer.
- 1:49:45So you'll have to wait for my video series on evolutionary
- 1:49:49biology. All right.
- 1:49:51Thank you for the question and answer their David over to you.
- 1:49:54Again, this is goes back to what I've been saying.
- 1:49:56For 20 years, there are six, different meanings and levels to
- 1:49:59the evolution Theory. They want to start with number 6
- 1:50:02because they are embarrassed by the first five.
- 1:50:04They're not science. They do have to have life come
- 1:50:07from nonliving material somewhere along the line and
- 1:50:10they could do have to have that life, learn how to reproduce
- 1:50:12itself. And other complex, step
- 1:50:14imaginary step that they take and they do have to have animals
- 1:50:17producing something other than their kind, macro-evolution is a
- 1:50:20religious If it's never observed.
- 1:50:22So yes. Great question life had to be
- 1:50:26created by a really smart Creator.
- 1:50:29I know him personally is my Dad loved them.
- 1:50:32Go ahead. Thanks for watching response.
- 1:50:35Okay, so next question comes in from, let me see here, chat to
- 1:50:39move in. Crazy-fast here, it's a lively
- 1:50:41chat tonight and okay, I've got it up on screen in three.
- 1:50:47Two, one Aron Moss $10 Super Chat sft.
- 1:50:52He says, question for David. How did animals evolved the
- 1:50:56ability to fly? As you complex of the question
- 1:51:00for a 30-second answer so that's going to be part of my
- 1:51:04evolutionary biology Series. So hit the Subscribe button
- 1:51:07enabled application of my channel so you can follow along
- 1:51:10with that Series right over to you.
- 1:51:14Okay? They did not evolve the ability
- 1:51:18to fly. They were created.
- 1:51:20We have reptiles birds that can fly.
- 1:51:22We have insects that can fly have mammals that can fly very
- 1:51:27complex flight. Is really complex, ask a pilot.
- 1:51:31It's complex it. They did not evolve it was
- 1:51:34created. It was designed to do what it
- 1:51:36does. All right I appreciate it.
- 1:51:41Kent David you want me? Go to the next question here?
- 1:51:44Yeah, next question. Okay, so this one comes in from
- 1:51:47Sean ma question for the both of you Sean says stay near future
- 1:51:52with another question for both gentlemen.
- 1:51:54Are there any fields of science other than biology?
- 1:51:58That corroborate evolutionary theory.
- 1:52:01David go ahead we can start with you.
- 1:52:04So once again you could always say up paleontology.
- 1:52:08What Corroborate, the theory of evolution.
- 1:52:10Tell and thinks I might Put that under my auntie.
- 1:52:16I'm not sure but paleontology, certainly cooperates Evolution
- 1:52:20physics corroborates, the fact that the Earth is old and I
- 1:52:24would be very happy to make mr. Kent hovind one limiting factors
- 1:52:27on the age of the Earth. So I hope he would accept my to
- 1:52:30be proposal one dose limiting factors, because I think that we
- 1:52:33really fun and we see if we see, Other fields in science.
- 1:52:42Also contradicting, young Earth, creationism.
- 1:52:47So yeah. All right over to you cat.
- 1:52:53Well, I think the question is is invalid is like asking why our
- 1:52:57elephants Orange? They're not orange.
- 1:53:00He's asking, does any other field of science?
- 1:53:02Other than biology. Cooperate, Evolution, even
- 1:53:04biology, doesn't. So the question is invalid, but
- 1:53:07I understand what he's saying. Here, biology does not give any
- 1:53:10evidence for evolution. All we've ever observed is frogs
- 1:53:14produced frogs and cows produce cows, Etc.
- 1:53:16That's real honest, biology. What we can observe.
- 1:53:20Now, if you wish to imagine long ago and far away, that's not
- 1:53:23science anymore or if you wish to find a fossil and say, well,
- 1:53:26this change to something else. Why could that fossil do it and
- 1:53:28the ones? Is today, can't do it.
- 1:53:30That's not science. So there are no other fields of
- 1:53:33science, physical science, earth science, nothing called gives
- 1:53:37any support to this stupid Evolution theory that we all
- 1:53:40came from an amoeba which came from a DOT of nothing exploding.
- 1:53:44Now there's nothing, nothing no branch of science anywhere.
- 1:53:47There's not a shred of scientific evidence to support
- 1:53:49the evolution Theory. It's a religious belief, a dumb
- 1:53:53one. All right, I appreciate the
- 1:53:55responses Jerry Foreman. Here says, this is my favorite
- 1:53:58debate so it's definitely been a lively memorable fun one.
- 1:54:02So we're gonna have to wind it down here with the last couple
- 1:54:05questions here, as I want to respect the time of The
- 1:54:09Debaters, we've been going at it for almost two hours.
- 1:54:11So this one comes in from Kevin's biblical discussions.
- 1:54:16Question for both will get you both involved here.
- 1:54:19He says, what are your thoughts on the Ashley Phosphate beds?
- 1:54:23Human and dinosaur fossils are found together.
- 1:54:26Doesn't this prove man and dinosaur coexisted.
- 1:54:35Go ahead, I am not familiar with this.
- 1:54:38I'm not familiar with the Ashley Phosphate beds so that is
- 1:54:41something that I'm going to have to research.
- 1:54:42I don't know. I'm not familiar with that.
- 1:54:47All right, I appreciate it over to you.
- 1:54:49Okay, sure. I think it is legitimate
- 1:54:51however, finding fossils of different kinds together.
- 1:54:58Does not prove anything. If all of the layers of we see
- 1:55:01of the earth were formed in one big flood in the days of Noah
- 1:55:04the shuffling, and sorting would put all kinds of things.
- 1:55:06Birds, might end up on top because birds are lighter and
- 1:55:09have hollow feathers hollow bones, and they fly to avoid the
- 1:55:11flood till the last minute and clams are found at the bottom
- 1:55:14because clams are already at the bottom.
- 1:55:16When the floods car. Cover this very thoroughly on my
- 1:55:18video number six, nobody's ever found human and chicken fossils
- 1:55:21in the same rock strata. Does that prove humans and
- 1:55:25chickens did not live at the same time?
- 1:55:28That's the logic they're using. So I would stick by my guns and
- 1:55:31say, there's no such thing as a geologic column, there's no such
- 1:55:33thing as a fossil record. I think I've been to the Ashley
- 1:55:36Phosphate beds and I think that there are lots of fossils in
- 1:55:39their trillions of them and they probably have found human and
- 1:55:43dinosaurs together in the phosphate bit.
- 1:55:45It wouldn't surprise me all animals.
- 1:55:47Lived at the same time dinosaurs lived with man, they call them
- 1:55:50different names and different cultures typically dragons or
- 1:55:52something like that but man killed off, most of them.
- 1:55:55The Bible says Before the Flood came people live too, Be 900.
- 1:55:59There's a lot of historical evidence about the Golden Age of
- 1:56:02man you shall live to be a thousand.
- 1:56:03Why? So many legends about the old
- 1:56:05age. There was true, they did live to
- 1:56:07be old and reptiles that never stop growing would go to be
- 1:56:10dinosaurs. They were just normal creatures
- 1:56:12with Adam and Eve not billions of years ago.
- 1:56:14Go ahead. All right I appreciate the
- 1:56:17response and I think we'll wind it down with this.
- 1:56:19Last question we do have about a thousand questions so we got to
- 1:56:22end it somewhere. Where else we can go for the
- 1:56:24next 10 hours? So here we go.
- 1:56:26Alpha Beta. And for David, I appreciate you.
- 1:56:30David being a good sport tonight.
- 1:56:31Most questions were for you, so the question is, the transition
- 1:56:34from non-life to the simplest possible?
- 1:56:36Life is an example of macro-evolution, is what they're
- 1:56:39saying here and irreducible complexity.
- 1:56:42Where is the evidence? And if you disagree with that
- 1:56:44question, of course, feel free to point out.
- 1:56:47Why once again long answer for the too long of an answer for a
- 1:56:5330-second response so weak for my serious one evolution.
- 1:57:03All right, I guess. Well, I appreciate it.
- 1:57:04Go ahead doctor. There is no evidence at all of
- 1:57:10any animal producing a different kind of animal, or of Life
- 1:57:12coming from nonliving material. It had to be designed had to be
- 1:57:16a really smart Creator. There's no evidence of car can
- 1:57:19make itself out of an iron ore mine.
- 1:57:22There is evidence that man can take the iron ore and turn it
- 1:57:24into a car. There is evidence for that.
- 1:57:29All right, I appreciate it. And David question was for you
- 1:57:31so if you want to have the final word there, nope.
- 1:57:35Thank you standing and thinking Mr. Hovind, mr.
- 1:57:38Of, and I've been really liked you to meet you again.
- 1:57:40I hope you would agree to debate me on a different topic.
- 1:57:43Maybe we can topic talk about some limiting factors.
- 1:57:46When the age of here, I also am interested in doing a debate
- 1:57:50one, Messianic prophecies and whole bunch of other stuff.
- 1:57:54So I hope you would agree to date me again.
- 1:57:58Are you you really want to do that David?
- 1:58:00You better go back and watch tonight's first but my answer is
- 1:58:03yes. Anytime anytime bring it on.
- 1:58:05Yeah I would love to meet that. I love.
- 1:58:07I love anyone on almost any topic.
- 1:58:11Whoa. All right.
- 1:58:13What about David Kent? You know, thank you both for an
- 1:58:18epic debate. Tons of fun in the chat with
- 1:58:20that a great audience. Very Lively, as I pointed out
- 1:58:23we've got about 10 hours worth of questions and we got to wrap
- 1:58:26it up somewhere. So Google possible probable puts
- 1:58:29a super chat on screen here to dollars.
- 1:58:30He says, after show is going down right after the debate,
- 1:58:34there's also an after-show over on David Neff channel.
- 1:58:37So we got an after show on an evolutionist Channel and a
- 1:58:40creationist channel. So there you go should be fun.
- 1:58:42So why don't we as we always do and the show with some quick
- 1:58:45final words, final Thoughts From The Debaters.
- 1:58:48Again, thank you so much Canton. David for giving us your time
- 1:58:52for tonight. David over to you, final
- 1:58:54thoughts, final words, Once again, thank you, mr.
- 1:58:57Hooven? Take the standing.
- 1:58:58And once again, we saw that Kent hovind, it is usual stuff, and I
- 1:59:05hope that you can do another debates and If you pay me, I
- 1:59:12would be very happy to come down to the dinosaur Adventure Land.
- 1:59:16I mean, I know you and Steve. I know you pay Steve quite a bit
- 1:59:21of money, so I'm sure you guys can easily afford to pay me a
- 1:59:24couple of a couple of tens of thousands of dollars in one
- 1:59:26down. You let me get this straight.
- 1:59:34You know we take in quite a bit of money.
- 1:59:37Yes, indeed. And okay, know you and I know I
- 1:59:41would gladly so my closing words would be in
- 2:00:09the beginning, God created the Heaven and the Earth and you're
- 2:00:11going to come judge it again one day and he's pretty mad at you.
- 2:00:13David might want to get right with him.
- 2:00:15Okay, well, I suppose, all right, I appreciate the final
- 2:00:23words, we are going to wrap it up here.
- 2:00:25Thank you so much everybody in the chat for joining us.
- 2:00:29Solid shot and solid debate. So Kent David, thanks again.
- 2:00:33And we'll see you guys at the after Show Thanksgiving in
- 2:00:36standing for truth is out. Well, let's just say that the
- 2:00:39very weak attempted Haymakers at the very end and like the last,
- 2:00:44you know, four sentences that spoke, I mean, turn it all the
- 2:00:46way at the very end that was just like the embodiment of the
- 2:00:51course of the debate. He was trying to use trying to
- 2:00:55throw a Haymaker to make up for the like beating.
- 2:00:57He was taking it from, I'm a rhetoric perspective throughout
- 2:01:01the entire debate. It was pretty.
