- 1:58Speaker 1: it part of your daily routine. Yeah, we do have
- 2:06Speaker 1: a lot to get to today. Let me start with
- 2:08Speaker 1: the breaking news overnight that Zordon up in New York,
- 2:13Speaker 1: Zordon Mamdani has, not to be confused, of course, with
- 2:17Speaker 1: Zordon from Power Rangers.
- 2:19Speaker 3: It is different.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Zordon Mamdani has has endorsed a bunch of socialist candidates,
- 2:26Speaker 1: and they won. They won these primary ballots with a
- 2:30Speaker 1: bunch of establishment Democrats in New York City. And it
- 2:33Speaker 1: looks like we got a bunch of socialists coming to
- 2:35Speaker 1: the United States Congress based on this result yesterday. Now,
- 2:41Speaker 1: this is not a situation where it's expected that a
- 2:44Speaker 1: Republican candidate can win in the general election. This is
- 2:47Speaker 1: New York City. This is crazy town, unfortunately. NPR with
- 2:51Speaker 1: the headline, Mamdani's political gamble pays off as his endorsed
- 2:54Speaker 1: candidates sweep their primaries. Primary night, New York, the first
- 3:00Speaker 1: major test for Zoran. It was widely successful. All three
- 3:04Speaker 1: of Mamdani's endorsed candidates for Congress were victorious, marking a
- 3:09Speaker 1: massive win for the left. You know, it's funny, like
- 3:14Speaker 1: the way the media talk about socialists, they just refer
- 3:17Speaker 1: to them generically as the left. If anybody is even
- 3:22Speaker 1: slightly conservative, the media refers to them as far right.
- 3:27Speaker 1: But if you elect a bunch of open borders, hate Israel,
- 3:32Speaker 1: burn it all down, abolish ICE, socialists, they're just left.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Hmm.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Okay. In case you're wondering about the propaganda that exists
- 3:44Speaker 1: in our media, and a major blow for establishment Democrats.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Mamdani endorsed in three competitive House primary matchups in New York,
- 3:52Speaker 1: breaking with Democrat leaders by throwing support behind leftist candidates
- 3:56Speaker 1: who were unafraid to criticize Israel and push for ambitious
- 4:00Speaker 1: economic policies. Unafraid to criticize Israel, push for ambitious, ambitious
- 4:06Speaker 1: economic policies. That would be steal from you and concentrate
- 4:11Speaker 1: all power into a corrupt institution we know as the government.
- 4:14Speaker 1: That's very ambitious. I love the euphemisms here. The biggest
- 4:17Speaker 1: upset of the night came in New York's 13th. Mamdani-backed
- 4:20Speaker 1: candidate Daria Lisa Avia Chevalier. Look at that name. A
- 4:26Speaker 1: 32-year-old community organizer and Democrat socialist, socialist, they're proudly running
- 4:32Speaker 1: as socialists, narrowly defeated five-term incumbent, five-term incumbent Democrat Adriano Espiatt,
- 4:39Speaker 1: 71 years old, to represent upper Manhattan and part of
- 4:42Speaker 1: the Bronx. That's according to a race call by the AP.
- 4:47Speaker 1: And the list goes on here. They say establishment Democrats
- 4:50Speaker 1: also suffered another blow elsewhere in the city. In New
- 4:53Speaker 1: York's 10th congressional district, progressive challenger and former city comptroller
- 4:58Speaker 1: Brad Lander decisively unseated two-term representative Dan Goldman. So this is,
- 5:07Speaker 1: first of all, it's hilarious that Dan Goldman just got fired.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Dan Goldman's a bad person. And he deserves to be fired.
- 5:14Speaker 1: But not like this.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Not like this.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Goldman, oh my God, I can't believe I'm in a
- 5:22Speaker 1: position where I'm saying this is an atrocity that Goldman
- 5:25Speaker 1: got fired in this way. But they're putting a socialist in.
- 5:30Speaker 1: So Dan Goldman is the Levi Strauss there, right? He's
- 5:34Speaker 1: got daddy's money. He buys a congressional seat. He uses
- 5:38Speaker 1: it to have a career with no distinction whatsoever other
- 5:41Speaker 1: than just being a hair on fire, Trump derangement syndrome lunatic.
- 5:47Speaker 1: He's a part of impeaching Trump, and that's his big
- 5:50Speaker 1: claim to fame. But again, he's Dan Goldman. He's a
- 5:54Speaker 1: ridiculous human being. He's fun to laugh at, candidly. He
- 5:58Speaker 1: gets thrown out because the socialists are an insurgent in
- 6:01Speaker 1: New York City. And you got Brad Lander, this socialist guy,
- 6:06Speaker 1: who's now going to replace him. And All of these guys,
- 6:10Speaker 1: every single one of them, there's three big candidates that
- 6:14Speaker 1: Mamdani endorsed, and they all won their races yesterday. There's Chevalier,
- 6:18Speaker 1: there's Lander, and then there's another one, DSA Stalwart, the
- 6:23Speaker 1: Washington Post says, by the name of Claire Valdez, who
- 6:28Speaker 1: has won now, destined for Congress, all three of them.
- 6:31Speaker 1: You understand what these people believe in, to the extent
- 6:34Speaker 1: that they believe in anything. They believe in destroying America's sovereignty.
- 6:39Speaker 1: They're all abolish ICE lunatics. They don't want us to
- 6:42Speaker 1: have any immigration enforcement. They also don't want you to
- 6:46Speaker 1: keep your own money. They think that you're irresponsible with it.
- 6:49Speaker 1: So what they'd like to do is confiscate your money
- 6:53Speaker 1: and then decide to distribute it as they will to
- 6:55Speaker 1: their friends and benefactors. That's You have open borders and
- 7:05Speaker 1: a welfare state. Didn't Milton Friedman warn us against this?
- 7:08Speaker 1: You can't have open borders and a welfare state. In fact,
- 7:11Speaker 1: that's actually how you commit homicide on a country. That's
- 7:16Speaker 1: how you kill a country. If you open your borders
- 7:18Speaker 1: wide and then just give out the people's money to
- 7:21Speaker 1: whoever claims, whoever pours into our borders, that's how you
- 7:25Speaker 1: destroy the country. And that's what these people have in mind.
- 7:31Speaker 1: And none of these people are like, you know, independent thinkers.
- 7:35Speaker 1: They all have the same sort of stupid, canned, radical
- 7:40Speaker 1: left-wing ideas all the way down the row. Are they
- 7:43Speaker 1: for transing the children?
- 7:45Speaker 2: Yes.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Are they for open borders?
- 7:47Speaker 2: Yes.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Are they for concentrating power on a corrupt government? Yes.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Do they believe all of the left-wing nonsense reflexively? Yes, yes, yes,
- 7:55Speaker 1: and yes.
- 7:56Speaker 4: All of it.
- 7:58Speaker 1: And so now I can't it's somehow I can't even
- 8:01Speaker 1: believe it's possible. Congress is about to get worse now
- 8:04Speaker 1: that Dan Goldman has been fired. What the hell is
- 8:07Speaker 1: going on? Now, you may look at this and say, well,
- 8:11Speaker 1: there's some great political opportunities here for the right. You know, like,
- 8:16Speaker 1: look how crazy they are. The Democrats are not going
- 8:19Speaker 1: to be able to put forward any sensible candidate whatsoever
- 8:21Speaker 1: going forward. especially into the 2028 election. I've seen a
- 8:25Speaker 1: lot of people pointing out like, well, there goes any
- 8:26Speaker 1: chance of Josh Shapiro being the nominee in the Democrat
- 8:31Speaker 1: Party coming up in 2028. There's no way Democrats are
- 8:33Speaker 1: going to nominate him. Now, that assessment may be coming
- 8:39Speaker 1: a little bit early. And here's why I say that.
- 8:41Speaker 1: First of all, we have no idea what the Democrats
- 8:42Speaker 1: are going to attempt. Never underestimate their ability to try
- 8:46Speaker 1: and steal elections at every level. They routinely rig elections
- 8:50Speaker 1: against their own primary voters. You know the history here, right? 2016,
- 8:56Speaker 1: they rigged the election against Bernie Sanders so that Hillary
- 8:59Speaker 1: Clinton can become the nominee. They didn't like that too
- 9:02Speaker 1: many of their own voters liked Bernie, so the establishment
- 9:04Speaker 1: rigged it for Hillary. It led to Debbie Wasserman Schultz
- 9:07Speaker 1: being fired the first day of the Democrat convention. They
- 9:10Speaker 1: made her the sacrificial lamb. And then it happened again
- 9:14Speaker 1: in 2020. 2020, you had Bernie Sanders yet again And
- 9:20Speaker 1: Barack Obama rigs the field in order to get Joe
- 9:23Speaker 1: Biden to win. It was Clyburn and Obama that got
- 9:28Speaker 1: all of these other Democrats to drop out of the
- 9:30Speaker 1: race so that Biden could have the nomination. They rigged
- 9:34Speaker 1: it again. And then in 2024, the Democrat establishment didn't
- 9:38Speaker 1: even allow their primary voters to select their nominee. They
- 9:42Speaker 1: just imposed Kamala Harris on their primary voters. So the
- 9:46Speaker 1: conversation right now about will Democrat voters support Josh Shapiro
- 9:50Speaker 1: to become the nominee, it's a little early to have
- 9:52Speaker 1: that conversation given the Democrats haven't had a fair primary
- 9:56Speaker 1: process to choose a presidential candidate in at least three
- 9:59Speaker 1: election cycles.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Now.
- 10:01Speaker 1: So let's tap the brakes on what the base is
- 10:05Speaker 1: going to be able to do on the left. It
- 10:07Speaker 1: may very well be that the establishment decides to impose
- 10:11Speaker 1: Josh Shapiro on Democrat primary voters. That may happen. Who knows?
- 10:16Speaker 1: One way or another, it does seem, though, that the
- 10:18Speaker 1: hand is pretty good for Republicans to win in that
- 10:21Speaker 1: contest in 2028. Either Democrat primary voters choose an insane
- 10:25Speaker 1: person to be their nominee, or the Democrat establishment rigs it,
- 10:30Speaker 1: attacks their own primary voters, and then diminishes enthusiasm for
- 10:34Speaker 1: the nominee that they pick. One way or the other.
- 10:37Speaker 1: So yes, there are some things here that could be
- 10:39Speaker 1: looking up going into 2028. But again, far too early
- 10:43Speaker 1: to tell. And boy, you got to keep your eye
- 10:45Speaker 1: on it. And the other piece, of course, is not
- 10:48Speaker 1: just rigging the primaries, but rigging the general elections. And
- 10:50Speaker 1: coming up, I want to talk to you more about
- 10:52Speaker 1: what's going on with the Save America Act, because President
- 10:55Speaker 1: Trump is destined to go to the Senate today. He's
- 10:58Speaker 1: headed to the Senate lunch to confront Republican senators about
- 11:02Speaker 1: getting off their asses and doing the bare minimum to
- 11:05Speaker 1: protect America's elections. When you have lunatics like this coming
- 11:09Speaker 1: up through the ranks of the Democrats. And the establishment
- 11:12Speaker 1: Democrats are already rigging elections. What do you think the
- 11:14Speaker 1: more radical versions of these leftists are going to do? Yeah,
- 11:18Speaker 1: you know the answer to that. So it's fascinating to watch.
- 11:23Speaker 1: One more thing, though, on Dan Goldman, insofar as we
- 11:26Speaker 1: are writing his political obituary today. We had some signs
- 11:29Speaker 1: earlier this week that this was coming for Dan Goldman.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Because in New York, did you see that he got
- 11:36Speaker 1: thrown out of a coffee shop this week? So I
- 11:39Speaker 1: was told, I don't know about you, Chad, but I
- 11:42Speaker 1: was told that Dan Goldman got thrown out of a
- 11:44Speaker 1: coffee shop. And my first reaction was to laugh. I
- 11:47Speaker 1: was like, that's hilarious. That's wonderful. My first reaction, I'll
- 11:52Speaker 1: be honest, instinctively was, that's hilarious and wonderful that he
- 11:55Speaker 1: got thrown out of a coffee shop. Finally, the baristas
- 11:57Speaker 1: are on our side. Yeah, that's not actually how this
- 12:02Speaker 1: story broke down. Here's what actually happened. They hated him
- 12:07Speaker 1: because he supports Israel. And I believe he's Jewish. Yeah, Goldman. Yeah,
- 12:14Speaker 1: he's a Jewish guy. So they probably attacked him because
- 12:16Speaker 1: he's Jewish too. And they threw him out because they
- 12:19Speaker 1: held bigoted views inside of this coffee shop. So look
- 12:23Speaker 1: at this. Here's the New York Times on this story.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Cafe tells Congressman he's not welcome because of his stance
- 12:28Speaker 1: on Israel. Goldman visited a left-leaning coffee shop chain and
- 12:34Speaker 1: the shop owner posted caustic remarks on Instagram that made
- 12:37Speaker 1: it clear the Congressman should not come back. A small
- 12:42Speaker 1: coffee shop chain in New York City created a firestorm
- 12:44Speaker 1: with a provocative social media post condemning a congressman who
- 12:47Speaker 1: visited one of its branches on Sunday, further underlining tensions
- 12:51Speaker 1: over support for Israel in one of New York's most
- 12:53Speaker 1: progressive and predominantly Jewish congressional districts. The congressman, Dan Goldman,
- 12:58Speaker 1: visited Poetica Coffee in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Oh my God, can
- 13:03Speaker 1: you imagine? He was there with his seven-year-old daughter on Sunday.
- 13:08Speaker 1: These leftists are scum. Look at them. They're eating their own.
- 13:11Speaker 1: The revolution is coming for the party. The last day
- 13:16Speaker 1: for voters to cast early ballots in a Democrat primary
- 13:18Speaker 1: race where he's facing a strenuous challenge. Hours later, Poetica
- 13:21Speaker 1: put up on an Instagram post that appeared to be
- 13:23Speaker 1: written by the shop's owner that made it clear in
- 13:26Speaker 1: harsh language he was unwelcome there. We see that you
- 13:29Speaker 1: stopped by our shop today for a coffee, the caption read.
- 13:33Speaker 1: Under a photo of Mr. Goldman looking at his phone,
- 13:36Speaker 1: in front of the shop's cash register, an image that
- 13:38Speaker 1: appeared to have been taken from a surveillance camera. Quote,
- 13:41Speaker 1: do you see how it doesn't taste like genocide juice?
- 13:44Speaker 1: Or are you still having a hard time telling the difference?
- 13:48Speaker 1: We don't serve racists, fascists, homophobes, genocide enablers, or anyone
- 13:53Speaker 1: in between. Too bad we didn't recognize you right away,
- 13:56Speaker 1: or we would have turned you away. You know, Goldman,
- 14:05Speaker 1: for years now, has loved to run his suck about
- 14:08Speaker 1: Donald Trump. He'll make up all sorts of lies about him,
- 14:11Speaker 1: accuse him of all sorts of poisonous things. And now
- 14:15Speaker 1: what's happening is it's happening to Goldman. Dan Goldman's being
- 14:19Speaker 1: attacked with the very same tactics by people to his left.
- 14:25Speaker 1: And Goldman has never had the courage to really call
- 14:27Speaker 1: it out. And neither have the rest of these establishment Democrats.
- 14:31Speaker 1: They've been just kind of like keeping their heads down,
- 14:35Speaker 1: not addressing the poison that exists within their own party,
- 14:39Speaker 1: allowing an assassination culture especially to take hold, vile assassination culture.
- 14:44Speaker 1: They only pay lip service to inflaming the weak and
- 14:47Speaker 1: vicious minds that make up their base, thinking that maybe
- 14:50Speaker 1: you can get them to open up their wallets or
- 14:52Speaker 1: cast their ballots for you if you play their very
- 14:55Speaker 1: radical game. And in the end, the revolution is consuming
- 14:59Speaker 1: the Democrat Party. So when you hear all of this
- 15:04Speaker 1: chatter about, oh, there's a fight going on on the
- 15:06Speaker 1: right and conservatives are fighting amongst each other and they
- 15:08Speaker 1: disagree and there's a big civil war among Republicans. Yeah,
- 15:12Speaker 1: do conservatives have their disagreements? Yes, and they are public,
- 15:16Speaker 1: they are pronounced, and they are regularly debated. But meanwhile,
- 15:21Speaker 1: the Democrats have a very real civil war going on
- 15:25Speaker 1: within their ranks and they have very radical people among them,
- 15:29Speaker 1: very radical. And if that Democrat Party actually cared about
- 15:34Speaker 1: its future, it would put this down. But chances are
- 15:37Speaker 1: they won't. They're cowards. Cowards with power are dangerous. And
- 15:43Speaker 1: that's the current state of the Democrat Party, unfortunately. Cowards
- 15:46Speaker 1: with power. And let's keep them from getting any more
- 15:49Speaker 1: of it, which is why, of course, we need the
- 15:51Speaker 1: Save America Act. I'll talk about that in a moment
- 15:52Speaker 1: with you, because the president of the United States is
- 15:55Speaker 1: confronting Senate Republicans today. and telling them to do this job.
- 15:58Speaker 1: We've got the details ahead on the program. But first,
- 16:02Speaker 1: I want to thank Rumble Wallet for supporting this show.

- 17:51Speaker 5: Yes, indeed.
- 17:52Speaker 1: Thank you to Rumble Wallet. All right. I need a
- 17:56Speaker 1: sip of blackout coffee so we could get into this
- 17:58Speaker 1: because you and I have to have a conversation about
- 18:02Speaker 1: the Save America Act. It's time. It's time. The president
- 18:06Speaker 1: of the United States is en route to the Senate today.
- 18:09Speaker 1: And the reason he's going is not because he was
- 18:12Speaker 1: invited by John Thune. In fact, Chad, did you know
- 18:16Speaker 1: that John Thune was caught off guard by this? He
- 18:20Speaker 1: didn't even know the president was going to be coming
- 18:22Speaker 1: to this Senate Republican lunch. I love the way that
- 18:26Speaker 1: this is developing. It was actually Florida Senator Rick Scott,
- 18:31Speaker 1: who you've seen on this program before. We've interviewed Rick
- 18:33Speaker 1: Scott many times. Rick Scott, the same man who at
- 18:36Speaker 1: one point had challenged Johnson to become the leader of
- 18:39Speaker 1: the Republican Party in the Senate, and of course is
- 18:42Speaker 1: not in that position right now. Rick Scott asked the president, hey,
- 18:47Speaker 1: do you want to come to the lunch? And the
- 18:48Speaker 1: president said, I absolutely do. And that's how this arrangement
- 18:52Speaker 1: got started. which is really, really great. Listen to this.
- 18:59Speaker 1: Here is Punchbowl with the report. I don't want to
- 19:03Speaker 1: subscribe Punchbowl, not right now. Can Thune win the big
- 19:06Speaker 1: Trump meeting? They say Senate Majority Leader John Thune wasn't
- 19:11Speaker 1: the one who invited President Trump to the Capitol for
- 19:15Speaker 1: the Senate GOP lunch on Wednesday. But Thune has a
- 19:18Speaker 1: chance to capitalize on the presidential visit. Thune's Senate GOP
- 19:23Speaker 1: conference is preparing for a beating from Trump. A beating.
- 19:29Speaker 1: They're getting ready. Daddy's coming to give them their spanking.
- 19:33Speaker 1: They're preparing. They're putting on a couple of pairs of
- 19:37Speaker 1: extra jeans to get ready to be spanked. This is amazing.
- 19:44Speaker 1: If he plays his card right, it could be an
- 19:46Speaker 1: opportunity for Thune and Senate Republicans to finally get through
- 19:49Speaker 1: to Trump. about what they see as his unrealistic demands.
- 19:53Speaker 1: You know what the unrealistic demands are? Election integrity. Unrealistic demands.
- 19:58Speaker 1: Election integrity. It may be difficult to think about Senator
- 20:03Speaker 1: Rick Scott's invitation to Trump as a positive for Thune.
- 20:07Speaker 1: who's been at odds with Trump over numerous legislative issues
- 20:10Speaker 1: in recent weeks. Scott didn't even tell Foon in advance
- 20:14Speaker 1: that he was inviting the president to the Capitol. Republican
- 20:17Speaker 1: senators expect that Trump will berate them for not bending
- 20:22Speaker 1: to his will on Iran, the filibuster, the Save America Act,
- 20:27Speaker 1: and more. Well, good, he should. President Trump should read
- 20:31Speaker 1: them the riot act today, bending to his will. Let
- 20:35Speaker 1: me ask you a question. Chad, be honest with me.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Would Republicans be in the majority in the United States
- 20:43Speaker 1: Senate right now were it not for Donald Trump and
- 20:46Speaker 1: his voters? Yes or no? Would Republicans in the Senate
- 20:50Speaker 1: have power right now were it not for Trump? That's
- 20:54Speaker 1: the core question here. Because the thought process that the
- 20:59Speaker 1: Senate Republicans seem to be using is, well, we got
- 21:03Speaker 1: elected in our state, so we get to do whatever
- 21:05Speaker 1: we want, like to hell with what you want. Like,
- 21:09Speaker 1: are you serious right now? You realize how historic the
- 21:12Speaker 1: 2024 election is? Yeah, for those of you listening on
- 21:14Speaker 1: the audio podcast, it is just a wall of no's.
- 21:17Speaker 1: It is a wall of no's in chat right now.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Everybody's saying the same thing, which is that by the
- 21:23Speaker 1: grace of Trump voters, these Senate Republicans have power right now.
- 21:28Speaker 1: So in other words- The mandate that they were sent
- 21:31Speaker 1: to the Senate for is to fulfill our agenda. And
- 21:35Speaker 1: what is our agenda? Election integrity. These are not hard
- 21:39Speaker 1: concepts to grasp. And yet John Thune and John Cornyn
- 21:46Speaker 1: and Thumbelina Tillis and Mitch McConnell. and Lisa Murkowski, and
- 21:52Speaker 1: Susan Collins, and this list, John Barrasso, all of these
- 21:56Speaker 1: people keep standing in the way of the agenda that
- 22:00Speaker 1: put them into office in the first place. The fact
- 22:06Speaker 1: that you have power right now is because of us.
- 22:08Speaker 1: You're welcome. Now do what we asked you to do.
- 22:11Speaker 1: I'm sorry, do what we told you to do. This
- 22:17Speaker 1: isn't like some corrupt arrangement. All we're asking for is
- 22:20Speaker 1: election integrity. And we need real leadership in the Senate
- 22:25Speaker 1: in order to deliver. In fact, here's the president yesterday.
- 22:28Speaker 1: He was asked about John Thune and he used an
- 22:32Speaker 1: expression that he's used before. He goes, look, he's a leader.
- 22:35Speaker 1: He needs to be a leader. Here's the president yesterday.
- 22:39Speaker 1: Cut one.
- 22:46Speaker 3: He's a leader. John's a leader. That's what being as
- 22:50Speaker 3: a leader. But look, we have to be able to
- 22:52Speaker 3: get proof of citizenship when you vote.
- 22:55Speaker 6: Otherwise, we don't have elections. We have to be able
- 22:57Speaker 6: to get voter ID.
- 22:59Speaker 3: So John is a leader and hopefully he can get
- 23:01Speaker 3: the votes.
- 23:02Speaker 1: John is a leader. Hopefully he can get the votes.
- 23:05Speaker 1: A gracious statement. A frustratingly gracious statement from the president
- 23:09Speaker 1: of the United States, still treating John Thune relatively nicely,
- 23:13Speaker 1: but describing him as a leader. He's saying, that's what
- 23:16Speaker 1: you're supposed to do, is lead. You can't merely be
- 23:20Speaker 1: a weatherman reporting on the state of affairs right now,
- 23:23Speaker 1: what kind of precipitation we're dealing with. No, your job
- 23:26Speaker 1: is to guide, to lead, to be the coach of
- 23:29Speaker 1: this team, to get the players all lined up, to
- 23:32Speaker 1: get them winning. That's your job, John. Do it. And
- 23:38Speaker 1: John Thune, according to Punchbowl, is really hoping that today
- 23:41Speaker 1: is going to be an opportunity for other people to
- 23:43Speaker 1: take the brunt of President Trump's ire. He's like, I
- 23:46Speaker 1: don't want to have to explain this to him anymore.
- 23:48Speaker 1: I don't want to have to tell him we can't
- 23:49Speaker 1: do this anymore. So I want other people to tell him.
- 23:53Speaker 1: John Thune is hoping to fade into the background. He
- 23:55Speaker 1: wants to hover by the Punchbowl and hope that the
- 23:57Speaker 1: president doesn't notice him today. The meeting will be the
- 24:01Speaker 1: first time in months that Trump will be in a
- 24:03Speaker 1: room with the entire Senate Republican conference. It's an opportunity
- 24:06Speaker 1: for Thune to lean more on his colleagues, Punchbowl says,
- 24:11Speaker 1: and for once not have to be the guy who
- 24:12Speaker 1: tells Trump no, or as Thune quipped on Monday, deliver
- 24:16Speaker 1: the bad news. Thune and his allies will have a
- 24:19Speaker 1: chance to get Trump to see, to see, look how
- 24:22Speaker 1: credulously they write about this, that there simply aren't 50
- 24:26Speaker 1: votes for getting rid of the filibuster and or for
- 24:30Speaker 1: passing the Save America Act. And that continuing to focus
- 24:34Speaker 1: on this is a political loser. Guys, you want a
- 24:40Speaker 1: political winner? A political winner is a credible election. A
- 24:44Speaker 1: political winner is an enthusiastic conservative base. A political winner
- 24:50Speaker 1: is doing what the voters sent you to do in
- 24:52Speaker 1: the first place. Political loser. What they do constantly is
- 24:57Speaker 1: perfectly invert the truth. And they're attacking you as supporting
- 25:02Speaker 1: some sort of political loser. How is that even possible?
- 25:05Speaker 1: You're attacking the people for having a majority opinion that
- 25:09Speaker 1: we should have credible elections? It boggles the mind it's
- 25:15Speaker 1: so incomprehensible. And this is possible. Now, it would be
- 25:20Speaker 1: one thing if it wasn't possible. Let's just say we
- 25:23Speaker 1: didn't have enough Republicans to pass legislations. on a simple
- 25:27Speaker 1: majority in the Senate. Well, then it would be like, look,
- 25:29Speaker 1: we should really put this legislation forward, let the Democrats
- 25:32Speaker 1: vote it down. We'll take what we can get. It's
- 25:34Speaker 1: a messaging vehicle. We know they're not going to support it,
- 25:36Speaker 1: but we should really try to get them, you know,
- 25:37Speaker 1: that kind of thing. That's not what this is. Mike
- 25:40Speaker 1: Lee has described over and over and over again that
- 25:43Speaker 1: there are multiple paths to actually pass this legislation. And
- 25:47Speaker 1: Mike Lee, is a brilliant guy. He really does know
- 25:49Speaker 1: the procedure in the Senate. And we've been talking about
- 25:51Speaker 1: this longer than almost anywhere, that you can use the
- 25:55Speaker 1: rules of the Senate to pass legislation with a simple
- 25:57Speaker 1: majority so long as you're willing to endure debate. So
- 26:01Speaker 1: long as you're willing to endure debate. It's not that complicated.
- 26:05Speaker 1: This thing about cloture, have you heard this expression cloture?
- 26:09Speaker 1: Of course you had. The idea is that you need
- 26:11Speaker 1: 60 votes for cloture in the Senate. What does cloture mean?
- 26:16Speaker 1: Clutcher means to end debate. It is a vote to
- 26:19Speaker 1: conclude debate in the Senate. So if you don't have
- 26:22Speaker 1: 60 votes, the debate continues until it's exhausted. Now, for
- 26:27Speaker 1: many years, the United States senators have used this as
- 26:31Speaker 1: an excuse to not even begin debate. They're like, well,
- 26:34Speaker 1: we won't be able to end it because we don't
- 26:36Speaker 1: have 60 votes. Well, I'm sorry, what? The debate hasn't
- 26:39Speaker 1: even started. What do you mean you don't have 60 votes?
- 26:42Speaker 1: Why don't you try and convince each other? And then
- 26:44Speaker 1: you can get to 60 votes or you'll just keep
- 26:46Speaker 1: having the debate until you get to the final vote.
- 26:49Speaker 1: That's actually the way the system is supposed to work.
- 26:52Speaker 1: But the Senate has become so accustomed to betraying the
- 26:56Speaker 1: deliberation that that body is supposed to be committed to.
- 26:59Speaker 1: They don't even do it anymore. They don't deliberate. Whatever
- 27:02Speaker 1: deliberation is happening is happening behind closed doors, not in
- 27:05Speaker 1: front of the American people. It's a betrayal of this
- 27:09Speaker 1: system's design. The founders envisioned actual robust deliberative debate. Is
- 27:16Speaker 1: it painful? Is it slow? Is it thoughtful? Yeah, it's
- 27:20Speaker 1: supposed to be. But it's none of those things right now.
- 27:24Speaker 1: They just don't have the debates. And then they just
- 27:26Speaker 1: pass corrupt legislation that they've devised behind closed doors when
- 27:30Speaker 1: they know that they have 60 votes to accelerate through
- 27:33Speaker 1: any sort of public debate on the subject. That's how
- 27:36Speaker 1: it works. So when Mike Lee says, wait a second,
- 27:40Speaker 1: why can't we just start the debate? He's aspiring to
- 27:44Speaker 1: the greatest traditions of the United States Senate, the actual
- 27:47Speaker 1: construction of the legislative body, which is get on the
- 27:51Speaker 1: floor and start running your mouths. It's one of the
- 27:54Speaker 1: few times we want you to run your mouth.
- 27:56Speaker 7: Do it.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Because at the end of that mouth running procedure exercise,
- 28:01Speaker 1: you can actually vote on the legislation. And if you
- 28:03Speaker 1: have 50 votes and an earlier version of the Save
- 28:06Speaker 1: America Act already had 50 votes earlier this year. Mike
- 28:09Speaker 1: Lee keeps talking about this. We've got it. It's on
- 28:12Speaker 1: the congressional record. We already have 50 votes. That gets
- 28:15Speaker 1: us J.D. Vance as a tiebreaker. And boom, we get
- 28:18Speaker 1: the Save America Act. Do it. Oh, but Vince, it'll
- 28:22Speaker 1: take so long. The Democrats are going to talk forever.
- 28:24Speaker 1: It could be weeks. I saw one estimate that it
- 28:26Speaker 1: could take something like seven weeks of debate.
- 28:30Speaker 4: Fine.
- 28:32Speaker 1: Chat, okay, let's ask that question. Chat, would you be
- 28:35Speaker 1: okay with seven weeks of debate on the Save America
- 28:37Speaker 1: Act if it means that we got it at the
- 28:39Speaker 1: end of seven weeks? Would you be okay with that?
- 28:44Speaker 1: That's the question. Because last I checked, let me check here,
- 28:48Speaker 1: because Mike Lee gave us an update on on the
- 28:51Speaker 1: vacation schedule for these idiots for the rest of the year.
- 28:54Speaker 1: I'm going to pull it up. It's kind of deep
- 28:56Speaker 1: in my, in my, my ex posts. So yes, yes,
- 29:00Speaker 1: you'd be okay. Seven weeks. Some people say seven months
- 29:03Speaker 1: if necessary.
- 29:05Speaker 4: Hmm.
- 29:06Speaker 1: Let me see.
- 29:07Speaker 4: Okay.
- 29:08Speaker 1: Here's a, here's a post. Check this out. This is
- 29:10Speaker 1: Mike Lee on what they, what they're up to. So
- 29:12Speaker 1: seven weeks of debate to pass the safe America act.
- 29:16Speaker 1: Look at this. Mike Lee. wrote on X This Week,
- 29:21Speaker 1: there are 27 weeks left in the year. 27 weeks, okay.
- 29:26Speaker 1: The Senate is scheduled to be in recess for 16
- 29:31Speaker 1: of them. That just leaves 11 weeks of them allegedly
- 29:38Speaker 1: doing the business of the Americans. people. 11. So let's
- 29:43Speaker 1: pretend they got to keep that vacation, that we were
- 29:46Speaker 1: okay with that.
- 29:46Speaker 3: Go ahead.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Take 16 weeks of vacation. Oh, Vince, it's not vacation.
- 29:49Speaker 1: We're working in our states.
- 29:51Speaker 2: Yeah, right.
- 29:52Speaker 1: It's vacation.
- 29:53Speaker 4: 16 weeks.
- 29:54Speaker 1: Okay. Let's pretend they keep that. They have 11 weeks.
- 29:57Speaker 1: How about you use seven of those 11 weeks, 7-11,
- 30:01Speaker 1: use seven of those 11 weeks to debate and pass
- 30:05Speaker 1: the Save America Act? We're not even asking you to
- 30:11Speaker 1: cut your vacation short. We're just asking you to do
- 30:14Speaker 1: your freaking jobs. Now, of course, you shouldn't take vacation.
- 30:17Speaker 1: You should actually stand on your own two feet, get
- 30:20Speaker 1: the insoles in your shoes, and fight for this thing.
- 30:24Speaker 1: Mike Lee said it. The 27 weeks left in the year,
- 30:26Speaker 1: the Senate schedule will be in recess for 16 of them.
- 30:29Speaker 1: Nothing beats filibustering obstruction like taking away vacation days. Yeah,
- 30:33Speaker 1: in fact, this is a good point. This is a
- 30:36Speaker 1: very good point from Mike Lee. So what kind of
- 30:39Speaker 1: leverage do leaders have in the United States Senate? Well,
- 30:43Speaker 1: let's think it through. What kind of things could John
- 30:46Speaker 1: Thune do to compel Republicans, establishment Republicans, to actually vote
- 30:51Speaker 1: for this thing? Well, there's a couple options. One, Take
- 30:55Speaker 1: away committee assignments. If you're not actually going to work
- 30:59Speaker 1: to help pass the party's agenda, then why should the
- 31:01Speaker 1: party give you coveted committee assignments? So threaten to take
- 31:05Speaker 1: them away and then outright take them away if these
- 31:08Speaker 1: people fail you. Two, cut them off from political money.
- 31:13Speaker 1: John Thune and Senate leadership control all sorts of money
- 31:16Speaker 1: that goes to Senate races. You don't get access to
- 31:19Speaker 1: that money if you're not actually passing the party's agenda.
- 31:23Speaker 1: That's a huge piece. You can compel people to actually
- 31:26Speaker 1: join you in doing the right thing by threatening to
- 31:29Speaker 1: cut them off. Three, threaten to bring pain to them
- 31:35Speaker 1: for their personal adventures. You want to go on vacation?
- 31:39Speaker 1: You had a big European trip planned? Yeah, that's done.
- 31:42Speaker 1: We're staying in session. We're not going to let you go.
- 31:45Speaker 1: You're going to stay in session now. And so these
- 31:48Speaker 1: Senate Republicans would have to feel the pain of personal
- 31:51Speaker 1: inconvenience in order to get them to do the right thing.
- 31:55Speaker 1: Whatever it takes, whatever it takes, by any means necessary.
- 32:00Speaker 1: And so President Trump is going to have a big
- 32:03Speaker 1: conversation today with these Republicans. And there's a lot to
- 32:07Speaker 1: talk about here. And I've got more on this in
- 32:11Speaker 1: just a moment, because I think the Save America Act
- 32:13Speaker 1: is that important. And we're at a pivotal moment. The
- 32:17Speaker 1: president is going into this fight, and there's going to
- 32:20Speaker 1: be one of two things that come out of today, presumably. One,
- 32:23Speaker 1: the president's going to truly double down, triple down on
- 32:26Speaker 1: his calls for the Save America Act, which I do
- 32:27Speaker 1: think is the most likely route. And when he walks
- 32:30Speaker 1: out of that room, either he's going to finally get
- 32:33Speaker 1: some of these guys to break free, or they're going
- 32:35Speaker 1: to remain completely stubborn and And this is going to
- 32:39Speaker 1: start a new round of fighting between the president and
- 32:41Speaker 1: these establishment Republicans who are strongly making the case that
- 32:46Speaker 1: they don't deserve any power in the United States Senate
- 32:49Speaker 1: to the American people, which breaks my heart because I
- 32:50Speaker 1: don't want to see the Trump agenda thrown on its heels.
- 32:54Speaker 1: But that's what these guys are doing right now. And
- 32:57Speaker 1: so we'll see. We'll see what happens coming up. More
- 33:00Speaker 1: ahead in a moment. I do have to thank two
- 33:01Speaker 1: great sponsors, though, who really do make this show possible
- 33:04Speaker 1: every day. And we are so grateful to them for that. Now,
- 33:08Speaker 1: you know, when it comes to health these days, two

- 33:47Speaker 1: does it taste chalky?
- 33:47Speaker 2: No, it doesn't.

- 35:56Speaker 1: Thank you. Thank you for the fast growing trees. Appreciate
- 35:58Speaker 1: you guys so much. So you've got President Trump saying
- 36:01Speaker 1: it's time for John Thune to be a leader here.
- 36:04Speaker 1: And he's going to have to say that directly to
- 36:05Speaker 1: his face today, which is good. I like that he's
- 36:07Speaker 1: doing this. But you still have these, some of these
- 36:11Speaker 1: idiot Republicans who are just straight up bitching and moaning
- 36:14Speaker 1: in public. about the Save America Act. They're very upset
- 36:17Speaker 1: at you. Now, I'm not surprised that somebody like Thumbelina
- 36:19Speaker 1: would be upset because, you know, this idiot has already,
- 36:24Speaker 1: you know, decided to pick up his toys and go home.
- 36:28Speaker 1: He resigned from his post in the Senate and said,
- 36:31Speaker 1: I'm not running again because he knew that Trump voters
- 36:34Speaker 1: were about to throw him out. And he just saw
- 36:37Speaker 1: the writing on the wall, which is probably the only
- 36:39Speaker 1: wisdom he's had in a long time. And here's Tillis,
- 36:42Speaker 1: according to Igor Bobich, this guy's a reporter. Tillis said
- 36:46Speaker 1: the Save America Act is, quote, going nowhere. We're wasting
- 36:49Speaker 1: time on this, said Thumbelina. It's like a remake of
- 36:53Speaker 1: a bad movie that just keeps on getting released. It's
- 36:56Speaker 1: been an abject failure. At what point do you just
- 36:58Speaker 1: stop digging a hole? Well, we could ask you the
- 37:01Speaker 1: same question, Thumb. We could ask you the exact same question.
- 37:04Speaker 1: At what point do you stop digging this hole for
- 37:07Speaker 1: the American people? Igor Bobich asks, why does Mike Lee
- 37:12Speaker 1: keep bringing it up? And Tham responds, naivete, or a
- 37:17Speaker 1: desire to get more likes on a social media post.
- 37:20Speaker 1: Maybe both. I don't know. But it's not based on experience,
- 37:24Speaker 1: says Tham. Naivete. You know, they'll ram through surveillance bills.
- 37:33Speaker 1: They'll ram through government spying packages. But the Save America Act?
- 37:38Speaker 1: Can't even get them out of bed for it. It's
- 37:41Speaker 1: a big waste of time, Tham Belinda says. Now, Mike
- 37:44Speaker 1: Lee said this is going to be a very useful
- 37:45Speaker 1: exercise today for another. So obviously what we want is
- 37:51Speaker 1: for them to support the Save America Act. But in
- 37:54Speaker 1: the meantime, as I've told you over and over, President Trump, boy,
- 37:56Speaker 1: isn't he the great clarifying agent of our time? We
- 37:58Speaker 1: really know who's on our side and who's not. Here's
- 38:01Speaker 1: Mike Lee saying this is going to be a big
- 38:03Speaker 1: moment in history today as the GOP senators will all
- 38:08Speaker 1: self-identify in this meeting. about if they're on the side
- 38:12Speaker 1: of the American people or not. And President Trump will
- 38:14Speaker 1: have the lay of the land. He'll understand what the
- 38:16Speaker 1: battle looks like today. Here is cut to this is
- 38:20Speaker 1: with the fellows over at the Charlie Kirk program. Take
- 38:24Speaker 1: a look.
- 38:25Speaker 4: What the American people want, Senator, is we want to
- 38:28Speaker 4: know who's who. Who are the other senators that are
- 38:31Speaker 4: fighting us on this? And is there going to be
- 38:34Speaker 4: an opportunity? You know, President Trump has threatened to name names.
- 38:38Speaker 1: Are we going to find out in any of these– you.
- 38:41Speaker 4: Know, different processes that are about to play out, that
- 38:43Speaker 4: they put their name on this, because I think that's important.
- 38:46Speaker 1: The voters want to know who's blocking this. Amen.
- 38:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I would imagine that those who speak out one
- 38:51Speaker 2: way or another on this tomorrow in that meeting with
- 38:54Speaker 2: President Trump and Senate Republicans will self-identify.
- 38:57Speaker 8: That's often how it ends up working. But look, regardless
- 39:02Speaker 8: of who speaks in which.
- 39:03Speaker 2: Direction, I do think it's important to recognize a couple
- 39:06Speaker 2: of things. First of all, as you point out, It's
- 39:08Speaker 2: not an easy situation. I grasp the fact that we
- 39:11Speaker 2: don't have 60 votes. I fully get that. I also
- 39:14Speaker 2: get that in many circumstances.
- 39:16Speaker 8: That signals that it's not something that we're likely to
- 39:20Speaker 8: get passed. This is a rather unique opportunity, though, where
- 39:23Speaker 8: number one, our election security requires us to take aggressive action.
- 39:28Speaker 8: Number two, we've got a bill that the is really
- 39:30Speaker 8: popular among Americans, like three out of four American voters.
- 39:35Speaker 8: Democrats and Republicans combined support measures like this one.
- 39:40Speaker 1: And they want that done. Number three, it gets more
- 39:42Speaker 1: popular over time, more popular.
- 39:44Speaker 8: As it's debated, especially because the Democrats' arguments against it
- 39:48Speaker 8: don't land. I have yet to hear a.
- 39:50Speaker 1: Legitimate argument against them.
- 39:51Speaker 4: It's so empty.
- 39:53Speaker 2: And so I'm not purporting to claim that this would
- 39:57Speaker 2: be easy. I'm not purporting even to claim that I
- 40:00Speaker 2: know exactly how this would turn out. What I am
- 40:02Speaker 2: saying is In this rare moment, I think it would
- 40:07Speaker 2: benefit all of us, particularly Senate Republicans, to stand up
- 40:11Speaker 2: for the American people and to use some unconventional tactics
- 40:17Speaker 2: to try to get this passed.
- 40:20Speaker 1: Yes, indeed. By the way, Mike Lee, I give him
- 40:24Speaker 1: all the credit in the world. I know we ask
- 40:26Speaker 1: a lot. Well, we don't ask a lot. We ask,
- 40:30Speaker 1: in many cases, the bare minimum out of a lot
- 40:31Speaker 1: of these guys. But Mike Lee, he has maintained a
- 40:34Speaker 1: happy warrior disposition throughout all of this. He's trying to
- 40:37Speaker 1: navigate a world where he's really, he is genuinely still
- 40:40Speaker 1: trying to convince these Republican senators to do the right thing.
- 40:42Speaker 1: He's holding out hope that that's possible. God bless him
- 40:45Speaker 1: for drafting the legislation, for fighting for it so publicly,
- 40:48Speaker 1: for doing it in the face of the struggle sessions
- 40:50Speaker 1: that the rightists that these Republicans have subjected him to,
- 40:54Speaker 1: I'm appreciative of him every day. And I marvel that
- 40:58Speaker 1: he can continue to maintain a happy demeanor in the
- 41:00Speaker 1: midst of all this. But there he is. And saying, yeah,
- 41:03Speaker 1: these guys are going to self-identify. The president's going to
- 41:05Speaker 1: have a clear lay of the land when this goes down. Now,
- 41:09Speaker 1: I saw somebody in chat just ask the following, where's
- 41:12Speaker 1: the whip on this? John Barrasso. Yeah, John Barrasso, man,
- 41:17Speaker 1: he has really flown beneath the radar here. And and
- 41:21Speaker 1: he really and he shouldn't. You know, we obviously spend
- 41:24Speaker 1: a lot of time talking about John soon because as
- 41:25Speaker 1: President Trump says, he's the leader. But John Barrasso is
- 41:29Speaker 1: the majority whip. Now, the whip, for those of you
- 41:33Speaker 1: familiar with, you know, Schoolhouse Rock. and how the Congress
- 41:36Speaker 1: is supposed to work. The whip's job is to whip
- 41:39Speaker 1: the votes. It's to corral his own party and to
- 41:43Speaker 1: make sure that everybody, as much as possible, is on
- 41:45Speaker 1: the same page in pushing forward the party's agenda. That's
- 41:49Speaker 1: Barrasso's job. Now, Barrasso is hiding behind the cover of, oh, well,
- 41:55Speaker 1: I support the legislation. I'm one of the co-sponsors. Therefore,
- 41:58Speaker 1: I think we should pass the Save America Act. but
- 42:01Speaker 1: he's merely hiding behind his ceremonial adoption of the legislation.
- 42:07Speaker 1: If he was actually whipping this thing, then he'd be
- 42:11Speaker 1: twisting arms right now to get the votes. In fact,
- 42:13Speaker 1: if he was actually whipping this thing, he'd be whipping
- 42:16Speaker 1: the means to pass it. So Barrasso definitely deserves to
- 42:22Speaker 1: be a part of this conversation as well, because Barrasso
- 42:25Speaker 1: is also failing us. There is no evidence whatsoever that
- 42:30Speaker 1: he is whipping the means to pass this legislation, that
- 42:33Speaker 1: he's saying we have to take this to the speaking filibuster.
- 42:35Speaker 1: We should take this the distance. We should give up
- 42:38Speaker 1: a bunch of floor time because that's how important this is.
- 42:41Speaker 1: Seven weeks of debate or whatever the number is. Let's
- 42:44Speaker 1: get it going. Barrasso's not doing any of that. He's
- 42:46Speaker 1: just keeping his head down and hoping that you don't
- 42:48Speaker 1: notice that he's the guy in charge of corralling the votes.
- 42:51Speaker 1: That's what's happening right now. So the president's going to
- 42:54Speaker 1: have to confront all of these idiots today as he
- 42:56Speaker 1: goes in to that luncheon. Meanwhile, the Democrats keep crapping
- 43:01Speaker 1: on the Save America Act and pretending that it does
- 43:04Speaker 1: all sorts of awful things to the country because they
- 43:06Speaker 1: don't have any good arguments against it. Mike Lee is right.
- 43:08Speaker 1: Just imagine if we could actually have this floor debate.
- 43:11Speaker 1: You'd be served up this kind of garbage like we
- 43:14Speaker 1: just got from Dick Durbin. Watch this.
- 43:17Speaker 9: Instead, people will need to provide birth certificates or passports
- 43:23Speaker 9: or similar documentation that denotes one's citizenship. So how many
- 43:29Speaker 9: of us know where you're going to find your original
- 43:32Speaker 9: birth certificate? I think it's upstairs in a box in
- 43:35Speaker 9: the closet in my case, but I haven't seen it
- 43:37Speaker 9: in a long time.
- 43:40Speaker 1: Oh, well, I guess Dick Durbin can't vote anymore. Oh, shucks.
- 43:45Speaker 1: I guess we're losing the Dick Durbin vote. It's so stupid.
- 43:50Speaker 1: It's so stupid. All we're asking is that you prove
- 43:52Speaker 1: you're an American citizen when you're registered to vote. That's it.
- 43:55Speaker 1: It's not complicated. Now, of course, Democrats will lie about
- 43:58Speaker 1: all of this. They're pretending like it's very complicated. Oh,
- 44:00Speaker 1: this can't be done. It's going to disenfranchise a bunch
- 44:02Speaker 1: of people.
- 44:03Speaker 4: No, it's not.
- 44:04Speaker 1: Actually, it's going to protect the voting franchise. That's the
- 44:06Speaker 1: whole point. I want American citizens to be able to
- 44:11Speaker 1: go to the polls and know that their vote is
- 44:14Speaker 1: protected from theft, that nobody else can claim to be them.
- 44:18Speaker 1: and that there will be no illegal contributions of votes
- 44:22Speaker 1: into the election that water down the actual votes of
- 44:26Speaker 1: American citizens. That matters a great deal. You know, every
- 44:32Speaker 1: time an illegal participates in an election, it cancels out
- 44:36Speaker 1: the vote of an American citizen. That is unacceptable. It
- 44:39Speaker 1: is a civil rights violation. And therefore, the Save America
- 44:43Speaker 1: Act is the single most important civil rights legislation ever
- 44:46Speaker 1: this century. And it should pass. And Republicans should heed
- 44:52Speaker 1: the words of Trump voters and the president himself when
- 44:56Speaker 1: he confronts them today. I'm really looking forward to it.
- 44:59Speaker 1: The aftermath of that we'll cover tomorrow on the program.
- 45:01Speaker 1: Looking forward to the president's visit today. I think this
- 45:04Speaker 1: is going to be good. And he was in Pennsylvania.
- 45:06Speaker 1: Any of you in Pennsylvania, in the Lehigh Valley, McCongee,
- 45:09Speaker 1: Pennsylvania yesterday, the president meeting with a bunch of great
- 45:14Speaker 1: workers yesterday. And he was getting all charged up. You
- 45:17Speaker 1: know how the president does this? He goes to these rallies,
- 45:19Speaker 1: and they give him energy. And he kind of taps
- 45:22Speaker 1: into the energy of the base again. And then he
- 45:24Speaker 1: comes back to Washington. He goes, I was just meeting
- 45:26Speaker 1: with the base. And they're all fired up for election integrity,
- 45:29Speaker 1: which he was talking about yesterday at some length. And
- 45:32Speaker 1: you guys are telling me you're not going to do this? Yeah,
- 45:35Speaker 1: you're wrong about that. I've got another message for you.
- 45:38Speaker 1: So the president goes, it's like Superman charging up with
- 45:41Speaker 1: the sun. You know how he needs to charge up
- 45:43Speaker 1: every so often?
- 45:44Speaker 3: Goes up.
- 45:45Speaker 1: Charges up with the sun. This is how President Trump
- 45:47Speaker 1: charges up, with a rally and a little YMCA. It's great.
- 45:52Speaker 1: So there's the president. In fact, the president had an
- 45:55Speaker 1: interesting day yesterday. He was talking about Iran. And look,
- 46:01Speaker 1: we got people who live in the Lehigh Valley. Yeah,
- 46:02Speaker 1: I went to school in the Lehigh Valley.
- 46:04Speaker 4: You know that?
- 46:04Speaker 1: I went to DeSales University near Allentown. Yeah, that's where
- 46:09Speaker 1: I was. In case, that's a fun fact. That's a
- 46:11Speaker 1: fun fact about me. Hey, the president was talking about
- 46:15Speaker 1: this Iran stuff yesterday. You notice all these people were
- 46:18Speaker 1: like constantly trying to crap all over Trump because he's
- 46:21Speaker 1: trying to secure peace in the Middle East. You know,
- 46:25Speaker 1: and I've told you over and over throughout this process,
- 46:26Speaker 1: this ain't a deal. This ain't a deal. We make
- 46:29Speaker 1: the mistake sometimes of slipping into the words, oh, it
- 46:32Speaker 1: is a deal. No, but it's a memorandum of understanding.
- 46:34Speaker 1: They're navigating towards a deal. And there's a lot of
- 46:36Speaker 1: lying going on right now by the Iranians, by people
- 46:40Speaker 1: in the United States, by people who either don't support
- 46:44Speaker 1: Trump or do support Trump, but they're attacking him because
- 46:47Speaker 1: they don't like that he's trying to navigate towards peace.
- 46:49Speaker 1: Everyone settle the hell down. Or as I say, keep cool,
- 46:53Speaker 1: my babies. Keep cool. President Trump says that the naysayers
- 46:57Speaker 1: need to be educated. Listen to the president yesterday, Cup 5, watch.
- 47:03Speaker 8: To allies of yours, like Senator Cruz, who's been critical
- 47:08Speaker 8: of the Iranians?
- 47:09Speaker 6: Well, I think anybody that's been critical of it has
- 47:11Speaker 6: to be educated, even if they're friends of mine. Because
- 47:14Speaker 6: we have Iran in a position that nobody's ever had.
- 47:17Speaker 6: This should have been done for 47 years by other presidents.
- 47:20Speaker 6: And we have Iran in a position where their military
- 47:24Speaker 6: has been totally wiped out, their leadership has been wiped out,
- 47:27Speaker 6: their radar has been wiped out. Everything has been wiped out.
- 47:31Speaker 6: They have not a good negotiating position. But despite that,
- 47:35Speaker 6: and money that we'll be taking out of Iran is
- 47:38Speaker 6: going to go to our farmers to give corn, soybeans,
- 47:41Speaker 6: wheat to Iran, because.
- 47:43Speaker 9: They have a hunger.
- 47:44Speaker 6: Problem, they have a food problem, they have a medicine problem.
- 47:48Speaker 6: They've got a lot of problems.
- 47:49Speaker 3: And they have an inflation.
- 47:51Speaker 6: Their inflation now just did 300 percent. So they have
- 47:55Speaker 6: a lot of problems.
- 47:57Speaker 1: You know, I know you're not a baby, Wall the Shark.
- 48:00Speaker 1: Wall the Shark's like, I'm not a baby. Don't say
- 48:02Speaker 1: keep cool, my babies. You sound like a baby.
- 48:07Speaker 2: Keep cool.
- 48:08Speaker 1: The president's right. Keep cool, my babies. Keep cool. These
- 48:11Speaker 1: people need to be educated. And this is interesting. I
- 48:15Speaker 1: saw a post. This is a great one. This is
- 48:17Speaker 1: from the Misfit Patriot. And this summarizes it really nicely.
- 48:21Speaker 1: Just think about this. Here's what he said. Unless you
- 48:24Speaker 1: truly believe Trump spent the past 40 years saying Iran
- 48:27Speaker 1: can't have a nuclear weapon and then bombed the F
- 48:29Speaker 1: out of them for three months, destroyed all their enrichment sites,
- 48:33Speaker 1: killed every one of their leaders, then killed their replacements,
- 48:36Speaker 1: then killed the replacements replacements. Unless you truly believe he
- 48:40Speaker 1: destroyed their Navy, the Air Force took over the Strait
- 48:42Speaker 1: of Hormuz and threatened to take out Karg Island if
- 48:44Speaker 1: they didn't come to the table just so he can
- 48:46Speaker 1: make a deal that helps the IRGC continuing to do
- 48:49Speaker 1: all the crap that made him go Don Wick on them.
- 48:54Speaker 1: then you have nothing to worry about. It's perfectly reasonable
- 48:57Speaker 1: not to trust the Iranian terrorist regime honoring any deal
- 48:59Speaker 1: they make with the United States. It's not reasonable to
- 49:02Speaker 1: start attacking the administration unless you truly believe Trump felt
- 49:06Speaker 1: the same as you do for over four decades and
- 49:08Speaker 1: then all of a sudden turned into Obama overnight. Let
- 49:11Speaker 1: the man cook. He's right about that. He's totally right
- 49:19Speaker 1: about that it's like what he's oh he's trying to
- 49:25Speaker 1: empower terrorism no nobody's done more to bring Iran to
- 49:31Speaker 1: its heels than Donald Trump to its knees than Donald
- 49:36Speaker 1: Trump nobody Let the man cook. And the president says,
- 49:42Speaker 1: you know, Iran did this at this very moment. There's
- 49:44Speaker 1: a lot of lies coming out. He said, you know,
- 49:46Speaker 1: this whole thing about whether inspectors are going to be
- 49:48Speaker 1: able to go in. He's like, yes, they agreed to that.
- 49:51Speaker 1: And yes, they're lying in public about it. Listen to this.
- 49:55Speaker 1: Cut six. Here's the president.
- 49:58Speaker 9: Iranians are saying there's no scheduled visit for the IAE inspector.
- 50:02Speaker 1: Is that part of your agreement?
- 50:04Speaker 4: They're wrong.
- 50:06Speaker 3: They're wrong. They know they're wrong.
- 50:08Speaker 6: They told us inside and we have it down 100% inspections.
- 50:12Speaker 6: And if they were right, I'd cancel the meetings right now.
- 50:18Speaker 5: From your view, Mr.
- 50:19Speaker 7: President, when will those inspectors actually be on the ground
- 50:22Speaker 7: at the appropriate time?
- 50:23Speaker 6: There's no rush, but they'll be on the ground at
- 50:26Speaker 6: the appropriate time.
- 50:27Speaker 1: Yeah, they'll be on the ground. That's a settled matter.
- 50:32Speaker 1: In fact, the president this morning was posting about this
- 50:36Speaker 1: other stuff with Iran. There's a lot of nonsense, a
- 50:38Speaker 1: lot of gum flapping going on about, oh, Iran's going
- 50:42Speaker 1: to charge tolls and Iran's not going to let the
- 50:44Speaker 1: inspectors in and Iran's not actually going to do the
- 50:46Speaker 1: thing that they said they would do. The president's like, yeah, no,
- 50:49Speaker 1: we're going to make them do the thing that they
- 50:50Speaker 1: said they would do. Here's the president this morning. He goes,
- 50:53Speaker 1: Iran has informed the United States that despite troublemaking fake
- 50:57Speaker 1: news reporting to the contrary, there are no tolls no
- 51:01Speaker 1: insurance costs, and no other charges of any kind being
- 51:04Speaker 1: sought or received by Iran on ships traveling the Strait
- 51:07Speaker 1: of Hormuz. If this is false information, the president warns,
- 51:12Speaker 1: negotiations would end immediately. Additionally, no money. No money has
- 51:20Speaker 1: been given to Iran or released from their money to
- 51:24Speaker 1: them by the United States. We will be releasing some
- 51:29Speaker 1: of their money that is totally controlled by us to
- 51:32Speaker 1: our farmers and ranchers for the purchase of corn, wheat, soybeans,
- 51:39Speaker 1: and more. Food is desperately needed in Iran. We will
- 51:42Speaker 1: be purchasing it for them exclusively from the United States.
- 51:47Speaker 1: Thank you for your attention to this matter, President Donald J.
- 51:52Speaker 10: Trump.
- 51:53Speaker 1: You got that? So what do we say? Let them cook. Hell,
- 51:58Speaker 1: he's even buying the ingredients. Corn, wheat, and soybeans from
- 52:04Speaker 1: American farmers. Let the man cook. Holy cow.
- 52:10Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 52:10Speaker 1: And there's also been this other thing going around that like, oh,
- 52:14Speaker 1: I think Marco Rubio hates the deal. Marco Rubio, he
- 52:17Speaker 1: really doesn't like this MOU.
- 52:18Speaker 2: Really?
- 52:19Speaker 1: The Secretary of State who works for Donald Trump, the
- 52:20Speaker 1: guy who's like his chief diplomat, hates the deal? That's
- 52:23Speaker 1: funny because Rubio just told everyone to shut up and
- 52:28Speaker 1: read the MOU. People should actually read it, he says.
- 52:32Speaker 1: The language is very strong. Listen to Marco Rubio, cut seventh.
- 52:36Speaker 1: to allies here in the region?
- 52:38Speaker 5: That most certainly will come up in these conversations. And
- 52:42Speaker 5: there are items outside the MOU that are certainly going
- 52:44Speaker 5: to be covered, but that's one that will have to
- 52:45Speaker 5: be covered.
- 52:46Speaker 7: It'll be discussed.
- 52:47Speaker 5: I think a careful reading of the MOU will see
- 52:49Speaker 5: that when you talk about, for example, a complete and
- 52:52Speaker 5: end of hostilities in the entire region, well, that's not possible.
- 52:56Speaker 5: You can't have the end of hostilities and conflicts in
- 52:58Speaker 5: the region as long as Iranian proxies are launching missiles
- 53:02Speaker 5: and drones from Iraq and are participating in terrorism like
- 53:05Speaker 5: Hamas did and like Hezbollah did.
- 53:07Speaker 1: So I do think it's covered by the MOU.
- 53:09Speaker 5: And it is an issue that will be gotten to
- 53:12Speaker 5: at the appropriate time in these negotiations.
- 53:14Speaker 1: Yeah, these terror proxies, they're all covered in the Memorandum
- 53:18Speaker 1: of Understanding. Let's see, how many points deep is it
- 53:21Speaker 1: covered in the MOU? Which, where is it? Let's see.
- 53:24Speaker 1: It's item one. It's number one. It's the very first item.
- 53:28Speaker 1: Terror proxies, knock it off. That's number one. People should read.
- 53:33Speaker 1: the MOU. Now, luckily, this audience did. In fact, we
- 53:36Speaker 1: read it together. The second it came out, you and
- 53:40Speaker 1: I read it together, and so therefore, you know these details.
- 53:43Speaker 1: But Marco Rubio is saying, yeah, there's a lot of
- 53:44Speaker 1: other people who need to read. Maybe do some reading.
- 53:47Speaker 1: Less talking, more reading. He also says that Iran could
- 53:51Speaker 1: have a very bright future. It's not a guarantee. Nothing's
- 53:54Speaker 1: a guarantee in this life, but In this case, Iran
- 53:57Speaker 1: has demonstrated for many years that it is composed of
- 54:00Speaker 1: a lot of terroristic lunatics at the top. But he says, look,
- 54:03Speaker 1: if they make the right decisions here, they could have
- 54:05Speaker 1: a very bright future with foreign, not American, but foreign investment.
- 54:09Speaker 1: Listen to this.
- 54:10Speaker 8: Cut it.
- 54:12Speaker 5: If Iran makes a decision, if its leadership makes a
- 54:15Speaker 5: decision that they want to be a country instead of
- 54:17Speaker 5: a revolutionary movement that exports terror, they're going to have
- 54:20Speaker 5: an opportunity to do incredible things in Iran. I'm not
- 54:23Speaker 5: promising you that that's the choice they're going to make.
- 54:25Speaker 5: I'm saying if that's the choice that they make, then
- 54:27Speaker 5: there will be opportunities. And those opportunities could include investment,
- 54:31Speaker 5: as you've seen other countries in this region benefit from investment,
- 54:34Speaker 5: from foreign direct investment. It won't be our investment. It
- 54:37Speaker 5: won't be our government money. But I think that is
- 54:41Speaker 5: something that's going to have to depend on progress made
- 54:44Speaker 5: on a host of other security issues that have to
- 54:48Speaker 5: be confronted in the days to come.
- 54:51Speaker 1: See what I'm saying? So Marco Rubio and J.D. Vance
- 54:54Speaker 1: are saying the same exact thing. And yet, of course,
- 54:57Speaker 1: what you're watching is the efforts to try and pit
- 54:59Speaker 1: them against one another and sow division. They're saying the
- 55:02Speaker 1: same stuff, which is, yeah, we don't trust words. We
- 55:05Speaker 1: trust actions. Yeah, there's no guarantee this is going to
- 55:07Speaker 1: work out, but we're doing everything we can to try
- 55:09Speaker 1: and make it work. And if they fail, we're going
- 55:11Speaker 1: to drop bombs right on their foreheads again, as the
- 55:14Speaker 1: president of the United States would say. What a team.
- 55:17Speaker 1: What a team that the president has around him. What
- 55:19Speaker 1: a clever idea, by the way, to unfreeze these Iranian
- 55:22Speaker 1: assets by buying American farm products so you could feed
- 55:24Speaker 1: the hungry Iranian people. That's the art of the deal.
- 55:28Speaker 1: That's a great move. Marco Rubio also emphasizing what the
- 55:33Speaker 1: president said this morning. No, Iran's not charging tolls on
- 55:36Speaker 1: the straight. That's insane. Here's the secretary of state discussing it.
- 55:40Speaker 4: Cut nine.
- 55:42Speaker 1: Let me ask you about Hormuz, if possible.
- 55:44Speaker 4: Can the U.S.
- 55:44Speaker 3: And allies, can they guarantee navigation, freedom of navigation in
- 55:48Speaker 3: the state?
- 55:49Speaker 7: Well, that's the law.
- 55:50Speaker 5: It's an international waterway. No country is allowed to charge
- 55:54Speaker 5: tolls or fees on an international waterway.
- 55:56Speaker 1: That's existing international law.
- 55:58Speaker 5: That's the way it is in international waterways all over
- 56:01Speaker 5: the world, and that's the way we expect it will
- 56:02Speaker 5: be here.
- 56:02Speaker 1: So I don't think we.
- 56:03Speaker 5: Have anybody to convince around here in that regard. I
- 56:06Speaker 5: think all the countries in this region would agree with us.
- 56:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I think all the countries would agree. and they
- 56:12Speaker 1: better agree. The president's saying, you know, if you try
- 56:15Speaker 1: and mess with that straight, I'll tell you what, I'll
- 56:17Speaker 1: take it over, and we'll just start charging tolls. How
- 56:19Speaker 1: about that? So knock it off, as always. Man, the president.
- 56:24Speaker 1: Tell me something, chat. Why is it easier for the
- 56:26Speaker 1: president to get an MOU with Iran than it is
- 56:29Speaker 1: with Senate Republicans? Why is that? What could that be about?
- 56:35Speaker 1: What could that be about? I asked that question yesterday
- 56:38Speaker 1: on X, and I had a couple people respond. They
- 56:40Speaker 1: were like, well... Maybe he should try surrendering to Senate
- 56:43Speaker 1: Republicans like he did to Iran. Surrendering. Did you hit
- 56:47Speaker 1: your head? Does killing the top two levels of Iranian leadership,
- 56:52Speaker 1: destroying their Navy, their Air Force, diminishing their ballistic missile
- 56:55Speaker 1: capacity to nothing, destroying their nuclear program, putting them in
- 56:57Speaker 1: an economic chokehold, does that sound like surrendering to Iran?
- 57:02Speaker 1: If that's surrendering to Iran, I'd hate to be John
- 57:05Speaker 1: Thune right now. Don't stand near any windows. I don't
- 57:09Speaker 1: even know if that'll help. The strikes are coming. We're
- 57:11Speaker 1: going to drop a bomb on the Congress. It's so crazy.
- 57:16Speaker 1: Why is it easier to get an MOU with Iran
- 57:20Speaker 1: than Senate Republicans? Think about that today. That's the homework.
- 57:27Speaker 1: Think about that particular question today. Crazy to me. The
- 57:31Speaker 1: president did have a good time in Pennsylvania yesterday. It
- 57:33Speaker 1: was nice getting back together with the base. Here he
- 57:36Speaker 1: is on the campaign trail. He told a hilarious story.
- 57:40Speaker 1: about a cop who's now making bank on the stock
- 57:42Speaker 1: market thanks to the Trump economy. Here's the president of
- 57:45Speaker 1: the United States cut 10. Watch this.
- 57:49Speaker 3: They were not happy, right? But the front row, they
- 57:52Speaker 3: became actually very famous, front row Joe's. And the typical 401k,
- 57:56Speaker 3: as you know, is up almost $ 30, 000 in, it was.
- 57:59Speaker 1: 12 months, it was 13 months.
- 57:59Speaker 2: It's up 44%. Think of that.
- 58:09Speaker 3: Up 44%. Because, you know, as goes the stock market,
- 58:16Speaker 3: so goes a lot of your own wealth. And I
- 58:18Speaker 3: tell about this police officer, I met a police officer,
- 58:21Speaker 3: first time, similar thing, but now the numbers are even more.
- 58:24Speaker 3: I met, I was in New York, I met a
- 58:26Speaker 3: great police officer, New York finest, and he said, sir,
- 58:29Speaker 3: I want to thank you.
- 58:30Speaker 1: I said, for what?
- 58:32Speaker 3: He said, my wife didn't think much of me, very much.
- 58:36Speaker 3: We were having marital difficulty, actually. She thought I was nothing,
- 58:39Speaker 3: I'm a police officer, I'm a tough guy. Looked at him,
- 58:41Speaker 3: the muscles were all over the place. He didn't suffer
- 58:43Speaker 3: from that, but she thought maybe that muscle wasn't so
- 58:46Speaker 3: good because he was always losing money in the stock market.
- 58:51Speaker 3: And he said, sir, in the last year and a half,
- 58:55Speaker 3: my 401K is up 74%, sir, and she thinks I'm
- 59:00Speaker 3: Warren Buffet, she thinks I'm a super genius.
- 59:04Speaker 1: I said, how are you getting along with her?
- 59:07Speaker 3: He said, well, I'm not so sure I like her anymore.
- 59:10Speaker 3: but that's like i won't tell you that i refuse
- 59:13Speaker 3: to say that he's getting along just fine but a
- 59:17Speaker 3: lot of people have come up to me dave and
- 59:18Speaker 3: they thank.
- 59:19Speaker 10: Us he's so rich you can dump her now that's
- 59:21Speaker 10: pretty funny i love that uh that was good you
- 59:25Speaker 10: know what let me uh You know, I'm not the
- 59:28Speaker 10: president's doctor, but let me give him a prescription here anyway.
- 59:30Speaker 1: You ready for this? Do a ton. Do a lot
- 59:34Speaker 1: of these rallies. Just get back out there with the voters.
- 59:37Speaker 1: There's all sorts of people in Washington who are always
- 59:39Speaker 1: trying to work Trump. Oh, this is what you should do.
- 59:42Speaker 1: And this is going to help you and blah, blah.
- 59:43Speaker 1: And meanwhile, they're really just trying to help themselves. Just
- 59:46Speaker 1: get back out there with the voters. Just spend a
- 59:47Speaker 1: lot of time with the base. Charge up, brother. And
- 59:51Speaker 1: then go back into these fights and keep fighting for
- 59:53Speaker 1: the rest of us. We appreciate you.
- 59:54Speaker 2: All right.
- 59:55Speaker 1: I'll be back with you tomorrow on this fine program.

- 1:00:46Speaker 1: be with you. I'll be back with you tomorrow. The
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: Dan Bongino Show.
- 1:00:53Speaker 7: I think a lot of people are underestimating the Trump
- 1:00:56Speaker 7: effect in this midterm. You've heard it yourself. Act like
- 1:00:59Speaker 7: I'm on the ballot. Why is he saying that? You
- 1:01:02Speaker 7: think he doesn't know what he's doing? That is the
- 1:01:05Speaker 7: X factor. Folks, elections are a math issue.
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: That is it.
- 1:01:09Speaker 7: This is not a football game.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: If you vote, we will win. It is not complicated.
