- 0:41hundred percent raw truth, one hundred percent American Maid the Warrior, Wayne Alan
- 0:47Root. All right, ladies and gentlemen, you are listening to the USA

- 1:08ninth day of February twenty twenty four. My name is Lee Elsie, Wayne
- 1:14Allen Route will be here in exactly sixty minutes. Yes, it being a
- 1:18Friday, that means yours truly gets the first hour of this amazing program on
- 1:23this amazing network, on these great radio stations from one coast to another.
- 1:27Christopher down there in Dallas, Texas again he is pushing the buttons, making
- 1:32it all go, keeping us on the air. And as you know by
- 1:34now, maybe you do, maybe you don't know, but usually I start
- 1:38the show off with a monologue of sorts, but I have such great guests
- 1:42in line for this afternoon slash evening. We're going to open up with one
- 1:46of my favorite people on the planet again, John Wayne of sorts, former
- 1:51Congressman, former CIA agent, Vietnam veteran, and he's got a message that
- 1:57I think we all need to hear, and he wants to talk about one
- 2:01particular person and how it relates to America. Rob. Who's that person?
- 2:07Bob Beckwith Bob Beckworth was a retired firefighter and he passed away. He's ninety
- 2:14one years old, complications from lung cancer, probably probably affected somewhat by the
- 2:22dust and dirt at Ground zero. But he was a retired firefighter who when
- 2:27he observed nine to eleven, told his family, I'm I'm going to go
- 2:31over there and help out. He's from New Jersey. I'm going to go
- 2:35over and help out. And they said, no, no, no,
- 2:36you know you're seventy one years old. You can't go over there. Right.
- 2:39He went to Ground zero and the National Guard wouldn't let him in.
- 2:44He said, no, no, you don't understand. I missed my truck.
- 2:47I was going to ride in on the truck. I missed the truck
- 2:52and if I don't get in there, I'm going to be in trouble.
- 2:55They said, oh, so you're an active duty firefighter. He said,
- 2:59look at my gear and said okay, you can go in. So he
- 3:00went in, and he went in, and he heard the President was going
- 3:07to speak at this event, and so he found a spot across from the
- 3:14microphones in the podium. And the spot he found was a truck, a
- 3:19fire truck that they had pulled away, gotten away from the wreckage and was
- 3:23sitting there had been severely dawn. He climbed up on top of it and
- 3:27he said, you know, from here, I get a good view of
- 3:29the president because I hear the President's going to speak. Well long behold.
- 3:35Two things happen. First, a Secret Service agent comes up and says,
- 3:39hey, is it safe up there? And he says, yeah, it's
- 3:45okay. I'm not worried. I'm okay. He said, well, we're
- 3:47not worried about you. We want to bring somebody else over there. He
- 3:52said, well, it's okay, and the guy said, jump up and
- 3:54down. So he jumped up and down on the truck. And I've kind
- 3:58of created a pile of dust and the guy walked away. Then Carl Rove
- 4:03came over. Carl Rove later twenty years later, Bob wrote an article about
- 4:10He said, Carl Rove came over and said, I'll be bringing somebody over
- 4:14here. I think we're going to get him over here. Can you help
- 4:17him up on the truck. And once you help him up on the truck,
- 4:20then you get off the truck. And Bob says, yeah, I
- 4:25guess, I mean, he didn't know who it was. Next thing,
- 4:28you know, here comes the president and the president is walking across this big
- 4:31open area where and I was there there there was dust and dirt and litter
- 4:38and all over the place. And the workers who had been there for like
- 4:42seventy two hours, they were exhausted, right, they were exhausted. They
- 4:46reminded me of my fellow soldiers in Vietnam during Tet Offensive, where we pretty
- 4:53much had been up. Everybody had been up like seventy two hours, and
- 4:57we're exhausted, but you know, the adrenaline keeps you going. And long,
- 5:00behold is the President. And Bob said, I saw him walking towards
- 5:04the podium, and then suddenly he looked over at the truck and at me,
- 5:12and he came over to the truck and he said, help me up
- 5:16on the truck. And I reached down and I helped him up. And
- 5:20I said, mister, are you okay? Is it okay? And he
- 5:24said yeah, I'm okay. And he said okay, I'm going to get
- 5:29down now. And the President said where are you going? He said,
- 5:31well, I'm supposed to get down. He said, no, you're not.
- 5:34Stay right where you are. And he put his arm around me and
- 5:39he began the speech. And he began the speech by saying, you know,
- 5:45I want you all to know today America is on bended knee prayer for
- 5:48the people whose lives are lost, families who mourn. The nation stent and
- 5:55somebody started yelling in the crowd. He can't hear you. So he pulls
- 6:03the bullhorn up closer because he'd been given a bullhorn. It wasn't a presidential
- 6:10bullwarm. Somebody gave him a bullhorn, probably one of the emergency guys.
- 6:14And he adjusted it and then he said he departed from his script. Oh
- 6:20he departed. Well, but Biden can't we know that Joe Biden can't do
- 6:27First of all, Biden can't climb up on the truck. Secondly, he
- 6:30doesn't know which way to go. Thirdly, he's got to have a teleprompter,
- 6:32and and so on and so on and so forth. So anyway,
- 6:35so Bush says, I can hear you. I can hear you, and
- 6:41the rest of the world hears you, and the people, the people who
- 6:47knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon, and the whole place
- 6:59and I was there. The whole price erupted in cheers of USA, USA,
- 7:08USA, and it echoed throughout ground zero, thousands and thousands of people
- 7:16chanting USA, USA, USA. And somebody handed the president of a little
- 7:25flag and he stood with Bob Beckworth and waved the flag, and it became
- 7:32a seminal moment. You talk about national unity. People didn't like George Bush.
- 7:40They called him Duba Dubia. I went over to the EB Union and
- 7:46they had a big sign on the wall. It was a big letter W,
- 7:50and then I had a red circle around it and read slash across it
- 7:54like, you know, killed W. They didn't like W. But you
- 7:59know what, at a time of crisis, he didn't have a three x
- 8:03five card. He didn't have a piece of duct tape on the floor telling
- 8:09him where to stand. He didn't have doctor Jill turning him around like some
- 8:15kind of zombie goofball organ Grinder's monkey and we know who the organ grinder is
- 8:20for this monkey. He did it on a spur of the moment. He
- 8:24had a sense of people. George Bush had a wonderful sense of fellow human
- 8:31beings and a sense of what was called for at the moment. And he
- 8:35he didn't follow a script. He followed his gut on what was the best
- 8:41thing to do that day. And it was a unifying moment for the United
- 8:46States of America. And then the after story, the after story, when
- 8:50he got down off the truck, he gave the flag to Bob Beckwith,
- 8:56the little flag that they'd been He gave it to Bob Beckwith and that Christmas
- 9:03a couple of months later, he invited Bob Beckworth to the White House for
- 9:07the Christmas party. He's a retired fireman, he's a nobody, but actually
- 9:13he's a somebody because you see, he's an American, because he's a Navy
- 9:18veteran, because he was a thirty year firefighter. And even though he was
- 9:22retired and even though his grandson was in the hospital, he felt the call
- 9:28of duty, the call of duty. It's not the money, it's not
- 9:33the status, it's not the self importance. It's the call of duty.
- 9:39And he's like so many Americans out there are good Americans, fabulous patriotic Americans
- 9:46who salute the flag, who honor the flag, who love the country,
- 9:52and who stand up to serve when the country needs them to serve. And
- 9:56that was Bob Beckworth. But the relationship with Georgie Bush continued every year until
- 10:05well the day he died. He got a Christmas card from Bush. Wow
- 10:11and Bush's Christmas cards were usually a painting, one of the paintings that he
- 10:16had done that year, and he said, I would get the Christmas card
- 10:20and there was a personal note in it every year. Every year. I
- 10:26want you all to note that America today, America today is on mended meat
- 10:37in prayer for the people who last were lost year, for the workers who
- 10:41work here, for the families who wore This nation stands with the good people
- 10:48of New York City and New Jersey and Connecticut as we mourned the loss of
- 10:54thousands of our citizens. Can hear you I can hear you. The rest
- 11:09of the world hears you, and the people and the people who knocked these
- 11:16feelings down. Well, you're all all right. Let me jump in.
- 11:22That's an amazing story from Colonel Rob Simmons, former congressman and former CIA agent
- 11:28and Vietnam vetteran joining us here to open up the broadcast here on this Friday.

- 17:07All right, we're back USA Audio Network, raw and unfiltered. Let's
- 17:11get right to it, man, because this has been a wild week,
- 17:15and yesterday was a wild wild day in the world of news, Putin and
- 17:19Tucker with a sit down, the Supreme Court clearly coming down on the side
- 17:25of Donald Trump, and then of course the absolute despicable display by the President
- 17:33of the United States. And that's sort of where I want to start though
- 17:37with Biden. I don't know if you listened to the audio yesterday or watched
- 17:41the video. The videos are more powerfully than even the audio, but him
- 17:45defending himself or attempting to defend himself for the classified document scenario, and then
- 17:52subsequently being grilled by the press. Now, in what I thought was a
- 17:59surprise see handlers of Joe, Biden allowed him to answer some questions from the
- 18:03press, and as usual, it doesn't really go very well. He gets
- 18:07overwhelmed, he begins to back pedally forget stuff. It was the same old,
- 18:12same old now, and I was trying to position myself to watch it
- 18:17and say to myself, well, how can his supporters look at him and
- 18:23come to the determination that he is a qualified individual to run the United States
- 18:30of America, the most demanding job that there is. It's a twenty four
- 18:37hour a day, seven day a week, mind splitting, numbing reign of
- 18:45chaos. Everybody is tugging at you. You think your job is hard,
- 18:48think about having your job times a thousand. That's got to be what it's
- 18:52like to be the president of the United States. Not an easy job.
- 18:56And what I took away from yes is that what I was watching now,
- 19:02I'm a human being like your I have sympathy, I'm sure like you do.
- 19:06There are times when I look at Biden and I cringe, and I'm
- 19:07like, I feel bad for him. But then I take a step back
- 19:11in and remember that this is a man who has grifted America for the better
- 19:15part of fifty years. He's never had a job. He's worth millions on
- 19:21a salary of one hundred plus thousand. The scandals his family and I watched
- 19:26yesterday and I said to myself, you know, the sympathy inside of me
- 19:30towards Biden is long gone, because what I was looking at yesterday was a
- 19:34pathetic, self important, entitled, cranky son of a bitch, pardon my
- 19:41language, desperately trying to hold on to power. This man has absolutely no
- 19:48loyalty to anyone but himself. He doesn't care about this country at all.
- 19:56All he wants now is to further a legacy. His insistence on his competency
- 20:03is again a glaring weakness. And this is not about what isn't Let's not
- 20:11have conversations about what about what about Trump? What about this person? What
- 20:15about that person? This is clearly about a man who in the last two
- 20:22plus years, you can go further back if you'd like, he began to
- 20:26disintegrate in front of our eyes during the campaign, hiding in the basement.
- 20:30But this is a man who no longer can do this job. That is
- 20:36what we should all focus in on. It's not about again somebody else.
- 20:40It's about Joe Biden. Look what he says, Look how he acts,
- 20:45look what he does. It's purely an assessment of his cognitive ability, his
- 20:52stamina, his now lost wit, his inability in my belief, to make
- 20:57monumental decisions. Tens of millions of lives hang in the balance. This game
- 21:03has gone on too far. Even press Row for the better part of Biden's
- 21:07tenure, has shielded him. Has now come around and they can't do it
- 21:14anymore. They cannot protect him anymore. They're bearing witness to this again,
- 21:19absolute freefall from our commander in chief. And shame on anyone in his inner
- 21:25circle. Shame on all of them, his wife, his family, anybody
- 21:27who is in charge of dressing this man up and pushing him out the door
- 21:32and letting him shuffle to the podium. Shame on all of them for what
- 21:36they're doing. And I'm saying all these things. Remember I'm saying all these
- 21:40things as someone who clearly doesn't want him to be president. So you could
- 21:44say I'm biased. Sure, I'm biased about it, But if you're a
- 21:48Republican you probably want him to keep running. Is anything I'm saying inaccurate?
- 21:53Do you have any faith in Joe Biden's ability to lead? Even if you
- 21:59could convince yourself that he is somewhat lucid, That lucinity comes in waves,
- 22:07It comes in you know, thirteen, fifteen seventeen second spurts. Even during
- 22:12this presser yesterday, he forgot two things he was going to say. It's
- 22:17the president of the United States, no offense. But it's not a manager
- 22:21at Walmart. It's not you know, somebody who's in the sales office on
- 22:26a real estate agency. It's not somebody who's even working in a school system
- 22:33as a teacher, who maybe he has stayed on too long. It's the
- 22:37President of the United States, and there's a responsibility with that position, and
- 22:41he should know that. Being in politics for fifty years now, he may
- 22:47be long past the ability to make that decision that he no longer can do
- 22:49it. All right, Well, take a quick break, we'll come back.

- 30:29You're listening to the USA Audio Network, Raw and unfiltered. Very special guest
- 30:33joining us right now. He has written for the Wall Street Journal, Real
- 30:37Clearpolitics. He has his own website, the dash reddashline dot com. His
- 30:42name is Red Yankee, and Red joins the here on the USA Audio Network.
- 30:48And right, I'll let you decide you want to start with the mechanics
- 30:52of the border or would you like to start with the hipocris see of the
- 31:00Democrats saying, well, we want to solve this. I want to start
- 31:06right there. Okay, out there you go. I'm going to refer to
- 31:11a long article written by Rich Lowry, which people can find on the red
- 31:18line in the search column. Just enter Lwry Rich Lowry. Okay. He
- 31:30wrote in twenty twenty one a long article entitled how Trump got control of the
- 31:37boarder. Okay. The seminal point is he didn't need any change in any
- 31:47laws. This entire charade in Washington, DC today is exactly that a charade.
- 31:57We don't need any change of any laws. So when Biden runs around
- 32:05the country blaming Republicans for not passing laws and therefore leaving him helpless to control
- 32:15the border, he will be falling on his own sword. Trump did it
- 32:21without any change in the laws. That is critical. Now I'm going to
- 32:29read one sentence out of this article under the subheader the law wasn't the problem.
- 32:37So Lowry interviewed a member of Trump administration in the immigration area and quote,
- 32:45if you actually look at and read and understand our immigration laws, they
- 32:51provide for a fair amount of enforcement. These laws were passed, and a
- 32:57lot of them in the nineteen nineties, several were signed into law by Bill
- 33:02Clinton. We took those tools that Congress gave us that had never been used,
- 33:09and we used them. That's point number one. Point number two is
- 33:17under immigration law, you can send people back to Mexico and require them to
- 33:25wait on the other side of the border. There is no law that prevents
- 33:34that. There is law that facilitates that. So when Joe Biden says he
- 33:39can't send them back to Mexico, he certainly can't. Okay, that's number
- 33:47two, number three, and this is the most critical point. Under international
- 33:53law, there is something called the third country transit law, and that holds
- 34:02that if you are fleeing your native country for fear credible fear, you must
- 34:14apply for asylum wherever you want asylum, you must apply in the first safe
- 34:21country you enter. So at the time, the vast majority of the immigration
- 34:29into the United States was from the Northern Triangle countries just south of Mexico.
- 34:38When those migrants entered Mexico, they are required under international law to apply from
- 34:46Mexico. They are not. They have no right to enter the United States
- 34:52and apply here. When Trump enforced that law, catch and release ended completely.
- 35:04Now, all of this required very, you know, extensive diplomatic work
- 35:13with Mexico, which certainly didn't want to have two three million people parked just
- 35:21south of our border under remain in Mexico. Nor did they want the Northern
- 35:27Triangle countries sending all of their citizens across Mexico these caravans of people. So
- 35:39it required great effort with Mexico that was successfully done. The third thing that
- 35:47was done if you look at the third country transit vand Mexico could do the
- 35:53very same thing I articulated that we did Mexico and say we are your first
- 36:01safe country. You can apply here, but you have to remain in Honduras
- 36:08while you apply for asylum adjudicated in Mexico. So the key points here is
- 36:21that they made it possible and enforced diverting asylum seekers to Central American countries other
- 36:30than their own. So, quote from the article, if a migrant from
- 36:37say, Honduras, said he had credible fear of returning home, it would
- 36:42be explained to him that he could be immediately sent to Guatemala to make his
- 36:49asylum camp play, at which point the migrants would usually think better and say
- 36:55he wanted to go back home. Right. That's it in a nutshell.
- 37:00Trump solved the problem without any need for going to Congress for any new immigration
- 37:08law. And Trump's position today killing the immigration law that was negotiated by partisan
- 37:21fashion is incredibly legitimate. He did it without anything from Congress, and quite
- 37:29frankly, when he wins again, he will do it again under the very
- 37:34same provisions of the law that exist today that existed in twenty seventeen when he
- 37:39started this process. And we will end the crisis at the border. It
- 37:45can be done with current presidential authority. So why did we get so many
- 37:52people so fast read ten million in the last two three years. All you
- 37:59have to do is not enforce the law, Biden. Biden affirmatively proactively did
- 38:07not enforce the law. That's all that happened. He undid everything that Trump
- 38:15did. And as they just outlined this, you know, we've been on
- 38:19the phone less than ten minutes, less than ten minutes to explain the policies
- 38:24under which Donald Trump secured the border. Let me play Devil's advocate just for
- 38:30a second. So you is it more beneficial would you rather have us just
- 38:35wait until we have a new president, a new administration, Just wait and
- 38:37allow another two three four million illegal aliens to come into the country. Yes,
- 38:45and then when Donald Trump wins, because this is the national security issues
- 38:52this country. Okay, I'm in favor of assisting Ukraine, Okay, but
- 38:59this comes first. This is our country. We need to secure the national
- 39:06security. Okay. Interestingly, the semantics lineup in perfect parallel. This is
- 39:14a national security issue and it involves securing our southern border. Nothing could be
- 39:22more literally and simply true than immigrants. Immigration should be plus plus to this
- 39:32country. It should not be the United States reaching anthem reached everyone around the
- 39:40world. It helps them out. We're running a country. We want it
- 39:45to be successful. We want people to come here to contribute to that success.
- 39:51So everything that should be done under immigration should have that overarching theme.
- 39:58So when Mayor Adams in New York City complains about the tens of maybe even
- 40:07hundreds, over one hundred thousand illegal immigrants that he's battled with, now,
- 40:12he knows very well that's not benefiting countries. His name, everybody is Red
- 40:19Jankie. You can find him at the dash reddashline dot com. Check that
- 40:23website out for yourself. As I said earlier, a writer for not only
- 40:28The Wall Street Journal, but Real Clear Politics among other publications as well.
- 40:32So Red, thanks a lot. I appreciate it. I do got to
- 40:35run. We'll run short on time, but a good breakdown from Red Yankie
- 40:37about exactly what has been going on at our southern border. We'll take a
- 40:42short break, we'll come right back. I wouldn't go anywhere. You're listening
- 40:45again to the USA Audio Network. Hi, this is Wayne L. Route,

- 46:25minutes to get all psyched up and ready to deliver a powerpack show, so
- 46:30you get me Lee Elsie for that first hour. You can email me Lee
- 46:35Elsradio at gmail dot com. One of our favorite guests is Steven Bucci from
- 46:39the Heritage Foundation and Stephen. Recently, I've had a lot of different guests
- 46:45on from the Heritage Foundation, different reasons, most immigration, but all kinds
- 46:50of different reasons, and it's actually caused a bit of a stir for my
- 46:53own listeners here in Connecticut, and they have they being a bunch of people,
- 46:59have continuously set me some potential troubling things about the Heritage Foundation and whop
- 47:09gives them money and where they get their money from. And I wanted to
- 47:15give you the opportunity to dispel any of these rumors or possible innuendos or things
- 47:23that are thrown at the Heritage Foundation as to you know, who gives you
- 47:28the grant money, how it all works out, and if you could take
- 47:30a couple of minutes and explain that to everybody, I think that would be
- 47:34great. Okay, I'd be happy to lee. Look, the Heritage has
- 47:39very strict rules. We take no money from any government organization or any government
- 47:47in the world, including the American government. We do things for the American
- 47:53government, we give briefings to people, stuff like that, but we do
- 47:57it all for free because of that restriction. About taking money. We also
- 48:04do absolutely no contract work. So I mean, when I worked for IBM,
- 48:10there was another think tank I won't mention, but we paid them one
- 48:15hundred thousand dollars to write a cybersecurity study for us that we had some input
- 48:20into. I won't say we told them what to say. You know,
- 48:22their their analysts did it, but we kind of knew where they stood beforehand.
- 48:28But that's the kind of contract work Heritage does not do. Ever,
- 48:34we do take money from corporations and from very wealthy individuals, but we we
- 48:40assure them. And I got to tell you, I've done this myself.
- 48:44I've looked in the eye of very you know, deep pocketed donors and say,
- 48:50look sir, I know this issue is a big thing for you,
- 48:53and we agree with you. We should write on it, and we will,
- 48:58but you don't get any editorial you know, control over it. We're
- 49:02going to write what our analysts say is is the right thing. So for
- 49:07for a story run by people. And I was accused of this myself.
- 49:13I had I wrote a story about chemical and radiological defense processes and this one
- 49:23journalist called me and said, well, you're taking money from this company that
- 49:28makes those those things, and we we did the the analysis. I didn't
- 49:36know if we took money from them or not. Uh, And it turned
- 49:38out we had taken money from them. Uh. It was about one half
- 49:44of one percent of our annual money. And I asked the guy how much
- 49:51money his newspaper took from people that he wrote stories about, and he couldn't
- 49:58answer me. So, you know, I think I told you an example.
- 50:02If Lockheed Martin wants to give the Heritage Foundation twenty five thousand dollars in
- 50:08a year, which sounds like a lot of money, it's not in the
- 50:12big scheme of things, We're happy to take it, but we assure them
- 50:17and I did it every year when they gave us a check and said,
- 50:21well, look, you know this is not going to change what we say
- 50:23about the F thirty five, good or bad. We're going to analyze it
- 50:29the best we can and we're going to come out with a position at the
- 50:32end of it. You may not like that, they said, we understand
- 50:37those are the rules, but you know, we we like you guys.
- 50:40We think you do good work, so we're going to contribute. So any
- 50:45of these stories that say Heritage was taking money to cook the books and skew
- 50:50our results is false, and I can say that my integrity is really important
- 50:55to me. Lee. I don't ever say things that I knowingly believe our
- 51:04lies. I just don't do it for anybody. I didn't do it for
- 51:07IBM. I don't do it for heritage. Frankly, I didn't even do
- 51:10it for the government when I worked for them, other than when I was
- 51:15doing spy stuff. But that's not to the American people. That was to
- 51:17some enemy. But that story is just not true. It's a hit piece,
- 51:24akin to some of the pieces I've seen about our Project twenty twenty five,
- 51:30which is being portrayed by some folks as oh, this is a terrible
- 51:35thing. They're actually preparing people to go into the federal government because then they'll
- 51:40be more effective. Yeah, that sounds like a pretty good plan to me,
- 51:45but for some people they think that's nefarious. You know, you got
- 51:51to watch what you read the newspapers. There's no rule that they tell you
- 51:54the truth all the time, and when politics are involved, they get it's
- 52:00really easy to lie, particularly in people can say whatever they darn well want.
- 52:05So I would touching everybody answer the question. I'm more than happy to
- 52:09try and answer it. Lee, you got my contact and we I'll answer
- 52:15people's questions. It takes me about the Heritage Foundations. I think it's a
- 52:19good organization, all right. Brother, You know you're one of our favorite
- 52:22guests. I always appreciate you coming on speaking the truth. So again,
- 52:25thank you very much for throwing that out there. We're gonna run though we're
- 52:29out of time for this segment. Stephen Boosie Heritage Foundation breaking it down way
- 52:34now and Ruin is next. Don't you dare move? It's up next.
