- 0:16SPEAKER_02: Thanks very much for having me.
- 0:17SPEAKER_02: Back by demand, not popular demand.
- 0:21SPEAKER_02: But we're going to quickly talk up something I've been talking about all weekend.
- 0:24SPEAKER_02: Paddle.
- 0:26SPEAKER_02: Unbelievable game.
- 0:28SPEAKER_02: So myself and Skip, Virgins to Paddle.
- 0:31SPEAKER_02: Dylan's been playing about three years, got his own racket.
- 0:34SPEAKER_02: Julian and Julian about five years.
- 0:36SPEAKER_01: His own racket and I own racket.
- 0:37SPEAKER_02: Julian Julian played together and they came in the same gear.
- 0:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah, had lessons and all that.
- 0:41SPEAKER_01: Julian's 52.
- 0:44SPEAKER_02: And he's played twice.
- 0:45SPEAKER_02: I've played twice.
- 0:46SPEAKER_02: Oh no, you have this guy's been brought up.
- 0:48SPEAKER_02: Went to Andy Murray's like tennis school, I think.
- 0:51SPEAKER_03: It's bad.
- 0:52SPEAKER_02: Honestly, it's unbelievable.
- 0:54SPEAKER_02: Every shot was like backspin, it was good.
- 0:56SPEAKER_02: Like it was good.
- 0:57SPEAKER_02: And then you've got him time wasting.
- 0:59SPEAKER_02: I heard them, he's like 24 minutes left.
- 1:02SPEAKER_02: I was doing a Kidaminster.
- 1:03SPEAKER_02: I was like, ah, I says, listen, there's 19 minutes left, five, two up.
- 1:07SPEAKER_02: Tiny's less, chicken is four.
- 1:09SPEAKER_02: But I've liking my body picks it up.
- 1:12SPEAKER_02: Honestly, it was a joke.
- 1:13SPEAKER_02: My paddle experience, uh liking myself to a 19-year-old midfielder who's trying to hit the world all the time.
- 1:20SPEAKER_02: I've got to be a 28-year-old midfielder, make them make the mistake.
- 1:24SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I was like up, don't you?
- 1:25SPEAKER_02: I thought it was Agassiz.
- 1:26SPEAKER_02: I was like, Yeah, we go.
- 1:27SPEAKER_02: Ned.
- 1:28SPEAKER_02: Did you think you'd like it as much though?
- 1:30SPEAKER_02: Nah, I couldn't I couldn't see the ball after the first couple of minutes.
- 1:33SPEAKER_02: I was like, I'm not up for this.
- 1:34SPEAKER_02: And then suddenly hit one, hit two.
- 1:37SPEAKER_02: Realised Dylan wasn't that good after.
- 1:40SPEAKER_02: And I was like, got a chance, yeah.
- 1:41SPEAKER_02: I was putting it with it.
- 1:42SPEAKER_02: It was good though.
- 1:43SPEAKER_02: It was good.
- 1:44SPEAKER_02: Cheats a bit, score, tries to you do a little bit more.
- 1:48SPEAKER_02: No, I thought it was I thought it was quite.
- 1:49SPEAKER_02: There was a couple of dodgy decisions that we kind of let go, didn't we?
- 1:52SPEAKER_02: But great game though.
- 1:54SPEAKER_01: Definitely playing again.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:56SPEAKER_02: Anyone take it?
- 1:56SPEAKER_02: So I'm just going to start booking it, right?
- 1:58SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:58SPEAKER_02: Because we've got plenty of people interested.
- 1:59SPEAKER_02: And if you just can't make it, there's no point in going, can we make this time?
- 2:02SPEAKER_02: He doesn't talk to us for about four hours.
- 2:04SPEAKER_02: Adam.
- 2:05SPEAKER_02: Adam looks at his phone once a week.
- 2:06SPEAKER_02: Once a week.
- 2:08SPEAKER_02: So we're just going to book it.
- 2:09SPEAKER_02: Just one little someone can tell us, but why is it for five o'clock tomorrow night?
- 2:14SPEAKER_02: Why is it you've got to have 90 minutes?
- 2:15SPEAKER_02: But anyway.
- 2:16SPEAKER_02: There you go.
- 2:17SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 2:18SPEAKER_02: We're all paddled.
- 2:18SPEAKER_02: So paddle we're up.
- 2:19SPEAKER_02: Intro.

- 3:33SPEAKER_02: So yeah, I had a Zoom call with him last week.
- 3:36SPEAKER_02: The guy it's involved, the guy um Chris is a character, proper character.
- 3:40SPEAKER_02: He's involved with Billingham Town.
- 3:42SPEAKER_02: Ah, is he the bald lad or not?
- 3:44SPEAKER_02: Yes, aye aye.
- 3:45SPEAKER_02: Because he'd done a few uh videos I've watched from the stack.
- 3:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah, all right.
- 3:48SPEAKER_02: It's like kind of office.
- 3:49SPEAKER_02: Aye aye.
- 3:50SPEAKER_02: Well, the first day I spoke to him really was on that zoom call with the boy I know from school and he he was lively, proper lively.
- 3:56SPEAKER_02: I think we're gonna maybe go through one day.
- 3:58SPEAKER_02: Uh he's involved with he's in the directors with uh Billingham and Town and stuff, so I'd like to know a wee bit about his story and stuff.
- 4:04SPEAKER_02: Did you ever play against Bill and Synthonia?
- 4:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah, they've gone though, haven't they?
- 4:08SPEAKER_02: Have they gone?
- 4:09SPEAKER_02: I don't I think they might be in Northern League two.
- 4:12SPEAKER_02: Um Liam Noble's just signed up with Bishop Auckland.
- 4:14SPEAKER_02: Has he?
- 4:15SPEAKER_02: They're top on the now.
- 4:16SPEAKER_02: He hasn't had many clubs, has he?
- 4:18SPEAKER_02: You played with Liam Noble, didn't you, Matt?
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Nobs.
- 4:21SPEAKER_02: He was the one you said, didn't you, after they won the St Johnson's Payne trophy, where instead of paying the ball, they just got like crates beer in.
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: His family crates a beer under the couch.
- 4:31SPEAKER_02: A few things off last week.
- 4:32SPEAKER_02: Sitting with two diehard Scottish Celtic supporters on Sunday, weren't we, Murph?
- 4:38SPEAKER_02: And they said Celtic would play bottom half of champ championship.
- 4:43SPEAKER_02: Not in another, they're not diehard, they're not Celtic fans.
- 4:45SPEAKER_02: Darren Moynan had a right.
- 4:46SPEAKER_02: He went, you're having it off.
- 4:47SPEAKER_02: I went, I'm not.
- 4:48SPEAKER_02: Championship, Celtic.
- 4:50SPEAKER_02: Ball half of the championship.
- 4:51SPEAKER_02: Who they're beaten?
- 4:54SPEAKER_02: I agree with him by the way.
- 4:55SPEAKER_02: Wolves, you think?
- 4:56SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 4:58SPEAKER_02: They're not beating Wolves.
- 4:59SPEAKER_02: They're not beating Wolves.
- 5:00SPEAKER_02: Who's top of the championship they're now?
- 5:03SPEAKER_02: Go on then.
- 5:04SPEAKER_02: It was Swansea, isn't it?
- 5:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah, Swansea.
- 5:06SPEAKER_02: So Swansea are beating Celtic.
- 5:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 5:09SPEAKER_01: Use it.
- 5:10SPEAKER_01: What are you drinking?
- 5:11SPEAKER_01: You must be on something.
- 5:13SPEAKER_01: Use an attic.
- 5:14SPEAKER_01: There's no point coming on and just telling lies off.
- 5:17SPEAKER_01: There's no point.
- 5:19SPEAKER_02: That big car horse up front, he's not done now since he got that break.
- 5:23SPEAKER_02: I get that Celtic have dropped the last few weeks, but you see them right.
- 5:27SPEAKER_02: Did you see them on Sunday?
- 5:29SPEAKER_02: Celtic, nowhere near Coventry.
- 5:31SPEAKER_02: Absolutely nowhere near.
- 5:33SPEAKER_02: That's like they'll have a couple of them a season and then they'll get spanked five or six off other teams.
- 5:37SPEAKER_02: I know, but Celtic are hopping at Falkirk.
- 5:40SPEAKER_02: Falkirk have just done a 24-hour shift in the post.
- 5:45SPEAKER_02: Milkman's just watch Celtic.
- 5:47SPEAKER_02: Watch Celtic on, I think it's Thursday they play.
- 5:50SPEAKER_02: They play someone in Europe and Fursday.
- 5:52SPEAKER_02: Celtic's still Benfica.
- 5:53SPEAKER_02: Benfica.
- 5:54SPEAKER_02: They're not, man.
- 5:55SPEAKER_02: They're in that cup still, the Scottish and Ireland thing.
- 5:58SPEAKER_02: Playing Derry.
- 5:59SPEAKER_01: No, they're playing Benfica.
- 6:01SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 6:01SPEAKER_02: Which would be a good game, but that's the level Celtic are operating at.
- 6:05SPEAKER_02: Do you know what I mean?
- 6:06SPEAKER_02: What Benfica?
- 6:07SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 6:07SPEAKER_02: No, they're in a cut they're in a competition with Benfica.
- 6:10SPEAKER_02: They're not on the same level.
- 6:11SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 6:12SPEAKER_02: They're not on the same level.
- 6:13SPEAKER_02: Nerv?
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: I think I'd be very harsh, Louie.
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: Very harsh.
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: I'm interested in the biggest.
- 6:18SPEAKER_02: Muff, do you know what this is typical of English lads who come up to Scotland and think for their good career in championship, kicked about down the leagues in the championship, Bottom McMahon?
- 6:28SPEAKER_02: Come up to Celtic and Rangers and struggle.
- 6:31SPEAKER_02: Hibbs is big.
- 6:31SPEAKER_02: But Joey Barton's a prime example.
- 6:33SPEAKER_02: Comes up, struggles.
- 6:34SPEAKER_02: Jamenda 4.
- 6:35SPEAKER_02: I but Joey Barton's 33.
- 6:37SPEAKER_02: Doesn't matter.
- 6:38SPEAKER_02: He was playing week in, week out.
- 6:39SPEAKER_02: Hibbs signed Harry McCurdy from Swindon.
- 6:42SPEAKER_02: Couldn't kick a ball.
- 6:43SPEAKER_02: Aye, but he can't.
- 6:44SPEAKER_02: Most of the boys that have come up, like there's a few lads that have come up for League One at Hibbs are now centre halves and stuff, struggled.
- 6:49SPEAKER_02: Obviously, I'm taking Scotland.
- 6:50SPEAKER_02: Obviously, I'm taking the piss about the Falco, but I do think Celtic are championship and Rangers.
- 6:54SPEAKER_02: I think Rangers bit I think Celtic are still much better than Rangers, I think, over a season.
- 7:01SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 7:01SPEAKER_02: On that style and like I think Celtic are a better team.
- 7:06SPEAKER_02: Just the old foreign games, it's just sometimes it's more than just football.
- 7:09SPEAKER_02: It's all right.
- 7:10SPEAKER_02: It's grit determination.
- 7:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah, who's up for it?
- 7:13SPEAKER_02: Who was it the other day?
- 7:14SPEAKER_02: Charlie Nicholas's first ever Celtic Rangers game.
- 7:17SPEAKER_02: They said, What happened?
- 7:18SPEAKER_02: He went, dunno.
- 7:19SPEAKER_02: He went, I went out for the warm-up.
- 7:21SPEAKER_02: He said, I just got I was gone.
- 7:24SPEAKER_02: Light lost.
- 7:25SPEAKER_02: When I played uh for something against Rangers, I left some tickets for my dad.
- 7:29SPEAKER_02: Took the envelope to the bloke.
- 7:30SPEAKER_02: He went, Nah, come back here, son.
- 7:32SPEAKER_02: I'd wrote Lumsden and Green Pen at Rangers.
- 7:35SPEAKER_02: He went, changed that.
- 7:38SPEAKER_02: There's rumours they used to take the green the green straws out of the boxes.
- 7:42SPEAKER_02: Now the boxes you get like the tum style, like when they have kiosks and stuff like that, they used to take the green straws not out.
- 7:46SPEAKER_02: Some Celtics will do similar.
- 7:48SPEAKER_02: You selt it you selty.
- 7:49SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 7:50SPEAKER_00: Well, you hear the stories that it was uh the button on uh the lifts was green, and the range was not changed that, you know.
- 7:57SPEAKER_02: Just it's mad, innit?
- 7:59SPEAKER_02: I'm not getting involved.
- 8:00SPEAKER_02: We're going Sunday, yeah.
- 8:02SPEAKER_02: Selty hearts, yeah.
- 8:04SPEAKER_02: Good getting that heart's off.
- 8:05SPEAKER_02: So I can't wear anything blue.
- 8:07SPEAKER_02: Nothing.
- 8:08SPEAKER_02: Well, you like navy as well, don't you?
- 8:10SPEAKER_02: I didn't think of that, huh?
- 8:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we'll get something green, we'll get a scarf or something.
- 8:14SPEAKER_02: Alright, get a half and half.
- 8:16SPEAKER_02: You're not getting green.
- 8:17SPEAKER_02: No, no, get a half and half.
- 8:19SPEAKER_02: I'll get my mummy send through a few things for us.
- 8:22SPEAKER_02: Yeah, old talks.
- 8:22SPEAKER_02: Right, let's crack on.
- 8:25SPEAKER_02: I think we get a few bites out of that.
- 8:27SPEAKER_02: Darren Moynan will be on again.
- 8:29SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'm done.
- 8:29SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 8:30SPEAKER_02: From Rid Helen, who gets in quite touch quite a bit.
- 8:33SPEAKER_02: Just listened to last week's show, Cadbury's Spire.
- 8:36SPEAKER_02: What a chocolate bar.
- 8:37SPEAKER_02: Should be coming back.
- 8:38SPEAKER_02: That do you ever remember Cadbury's?
- 8:40SPEAKER_02: I don't think I've had a spider.
- 8:41SPEAKER_02: You're a young one.
- 8:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 8:43SPEAKER_02: Famous people you've met.
- 8:45SPEAKER_02: I was once coming out of HSBC in Penrith and bumped into a bloke.
- 8:49SPEAKER_02: Said sorry, he replied an Australian accent.
- 8:52SPEAKER_02: I didn't realise who it was, but it was Hugh Jackman.
- 8:56SPEAKER_02: Where?
- 8:58SPEAKER_02: Penrith.
- 8:59SPEAKER_02: Penrith.
- 9:00SPEAKER_02: Said a bystander, just said you've just walked into Wolverine.
- 9:04SPEAKER_02: Why do you think he was up?
- 9:06SPEAKER_02: Also worked for John Richardson, the com comedian who had a house in Keswick.
- 9:10SPEAKER_02: Hugh Jackman's sister also lives in Windermere, so there's the tile.
- 9:14SPEAKER_02: There's the connection then.
- 9:15SPEAKER_02: He's got a bit wreck's him.
- 9:16SPEAKER_02: He didn't go in, or did he go in?
- 9:17SPEAKER_02: I don't know if it is.
- 9:18SPEAKER_02: Hugh Jackson's going to a different club.
- 9:20SPEAKER_02: Can't remember who it is.
- 9:21SPEAKER_02: Come back to us.
- 9:23SPEAKER_02: From Patrick Cowan on the chocolate debate, try a chocolate button on top of a ready salted kettle crisp.
- 9:30SPEAKER_02: Oh, that's weird.
- 9:31SPEAKER_02: Next level.
- 9:33SPEAKER_02: That's scandal.
- 9:35SPEAKER_02: Crisps and chocolate go.
- 9:37SPEAKER_02: It's one of those things.
- 9:39SPEAKER_02: If you had a you know cheese and apple, see that goes.
- 9:42SPEAKER_02: Chocolate and crisp do actually go.
- 9:43SPEAKER_02: Someone was buzzing over here, whispering can of cocoa, in there.
- 9:46SPEAKER_02: I did I said straight away, but uh as I say in Barnsley, just trying when I've had all these hours to myself, just trying different uh pure boredom.
- 9:54SPEAKER_02: Have you tried these bigger co-op crisps?
- 9:58SPEAKER_02: You've said sweater.
- 9:58SPEAKER_02: Oh, we need to get them, honestly.
- 10:00SPEAKER_02: Go there.
- 10:00SPEAKER_02: Like your tongue will be white.
- 10:02SPEAKER_02: Like that's just so strong.
- 10:03SPEAKER_02: Unbelievable.
- 10:05SPEAKER_02: Speaking of the things I used to do in Barnsley, Rocky Four, no easy way out.
- 10:09SPEAKER_02: Waits, and I think I was gonna like start waits soon as the sea as soon as the scene finished with no easy way out for this.
- 10:14SPEAKER_02: I went, nah, stop that.
- 10:17SPEAKER_02: Um Paul Patterson from Penrith again.
- 10:21SPEAKER_02: By the way, next time you're having a cup of tea and a Twix, bite both ends off the Twix and use it like a straw.
- 10:29SPEAKER_02: Tuck the tea through, then whack it in your gob.
- 10:33SPEAKER_02: Fucking scenes, Jeff.
- 10:34SPEAKER_02: Uh by the way, you are mining Louise listen today on the way down to Aldham.
- 10:38SPEAKER_02: Thank me later.
- 10:39SPEAKER_02: Remember drifters?
- 10:40SPEAKER_02: How do you drifters?
- 10:42SPEAKER_02: Do with a drifter with a cup of tea.
- 10:44SPEAKER_02: I used to do it with the penguins, remember the little penguins?
- 10:46SPEAKER_02: Aye, you should do it with them, but oh twix, twitch drifters there.
- 10:52SPEAKER_00: They're all smaller than all.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: I need to get a blue.
- 10:54SPEAKER_02: I had a drifter when drifter was old school, the brown packet, and we souped it up to bloom.
- 10:58SPEAKER_02: Ollie Short, who lives in Dubai, the slander on Fry's Turkish delight is insane.
- 11:04SPEAKER_02: What?
- 11:05SPEAKER_02: Likes them?
- 11:05SPEAKER_02: Nah, Turkish delight.
- 11:06SPEAKER_02: Is it any Adam?
- 11:07SPEAKER_02: Do you like a Turkish delight?
- 11:09SPEAKER_02: Strange behaviour, innit?
- 11:11SPEAKER_02: What is it more?
- 11:11SPEAKER_02: Not Mars a pine, isn't it?
- 11:12SPEAKER_02: A jelly or something.
- 11:13SPEAKER_02: It's just speaking of hideous.
- 11:18SPEAKER_02: Is this a pineapple thing?
- 11:20SPEAKER_02: We're all having a bit.
- 11:20SPEAKER_01: Get it open.
- 11:22SPEAKER_01: I could be sick.
- 11:23SPEAKER_01: That's out of the in-and-out shop, innit?
- 11:25SPEAKER_02: That's about eight quid.
- 11:26SPEAKER_02: Dairy milk with a pineapple filling.
- 11:30SPEAKER_02: Don't do it yet.
- 11:31SPEAKER_02: Oh, you're an apple.
- 11:32SPEAKER_02: What's going on?
- 11:35SPEAKER_01: Football pundits here.
- 11:36SPEAKER_01: Oh, we're talking about football tonight, are not?
- 11:39SPEAKER_02: Listen, it's gonna get really serious really quick.
- 11:41SPEAKER_00: I've got training as well.
- 11:42SPEAKER_00: I think uh I'm gonna have to leave.
- 11:46SPEAKER_02: Get it doing ya.
- 11:47SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 11:47SPEAKER_02: Are you going on in?
- 11:49SPEAKER_02: I'm biting it.
- 11:50SPEAKER_02: Or even tears mingling the minute you go in your mouth.
- 11:53SPEAKER_02: I didn't used to be in this red.
- 11:56SPEAKER_02: Nah.
- 11:57SPEAKER_01: Stranger not good that.
- 12:01SPEAKER_03: What are you talking?
- 12:03SPEAKER_01: For the people just listening, four guys just chewing haga.
- 12:07SPEAKER_01: What is it?
- 12:08SPEAKER_01: Cadbury's?
- 12:09SPEAKER_01: So what is it?
- 12:09SPEAKER_01: Cadbury's with pirate taste like another ball.
- 12:13SPEAKER_01: I can't think what, but it's minging.
- 12:15SPEAKER_01: Nah, not for me.
- 12:16SPEAKER_01: That's actually not that bad.
- 12:17SPEAKER_01: Not for me.
- 12:18SPEAKER_01: It's not bad.
- 12:20SPEAKER_02: I'm trying to think what it's like.
- 12:23SPEAKER_01: It must have been a fridge.
- 12:24SPEAKER_01: It's not as bad as I thought it would be.
- 12:27SPEAKER_02: Or is it not?
- 12:27SPEAKER_02: If it was fridge, it'd be much better.
- 12:29SPEAKER_02: If it was softer.
- 12:30SPEAKER_02: Oh good.
- 12:31SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 12:32SPEAKER_02: I've got an ick.
- 12:33SPEAKER_02: I've got an ick.
- 12:35SPEAKER_02: Why not?
- 12:36SPEAKER_02: I have as well.
- 12:38SPEAKER_02: When did footballers and managers start calling each other exceptional human beings?
- 12:45SPEAKER_02: I'm not awesome.
- 12:46SPEAKER_02: Just win a match, be a dick all you want, just get us three points on a Saturday.
- 12:50SPEAKER_02: And then the modules used to see that.
- 12:51SPEAKER_02: So Alex McCartney, the player, was saying that Russell Martin is just an exceptional human being.
- 12:56SPEAKER_02: Rob Elliott's talking about Cammy Harper of the Week.
- 12:59SPEAKER_02: It's a fantastic human being.
- 13:01SPEAKER_02: Mike Williamson, who've just been dicked 8-0 again, Dylan in midfield, but they're all fantastic human beings.
- 13:10SPEAKER_02: Like, stop getting on with them all.
- 13:12SPEAKER_02: And this human beings, crack.
- 13:14SPEAKER_02: All very nice to each other now, aren't they?
- 13:17SPEAKER_02: We're all too nice.
- 13:18SPEAKER_02: Fantastic human being, Mav.
- 13:20SPEAKER_02: I am, yeah.
- 13:21SPEAKER_02: Thanks.
- 13:22SPEAKER_01: What's your ricks?
- 13:23SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 13:23SPEAKER_01: Every time him and Julian want to point him paddle, tapping the bat with a tap the bat.
- 13:27SPEAKER_03: What they're doing, man.
- 13:28SPEAKER_03: What about with a match?
- 13:29SPEAKER_02: What about with a matching uniform?
- 13:31SPEAKER_02: Came with matching gear on.
- 13:33SPEAKER_02: He's got the undershorts now, the tilt.
- 13:36SPEAKER_01: Under layers, this long sleeved under under layers and stuff.
- 13:39SPEAKER_01: Proper series.
- 13:41SPEAKER_01: Anyway, Kyle.
- 13:42SPEAKER_00: Going back to that.
- 13:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, is that not because of the way everybody changes, the way they talk about things like you know, the how you in football, how you play in transition, you know, that becomes they become the buzzwords.
- 13:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's a buzzword at the minute.
- 13:54SPEAKER_02: So someone started and it's cracked on.
- 13:56SPEAKER_02: An exceptional human being.
- 14:00SPEAKER_02: It's not for me.
- 14:01SPEAKER_02: It's not for me.
- 14:02SPEAKER_02: Fall out a bit.
- 14:04SPEAKER_02: We're gonna go into that.
- 14:05SPEAKER_02: Are they talking about boys that have so like Cameron Harper's been left out everything, not being in the squads?
- 14:10SPEAKER_02: You've been So are you happy to kinda the manager saying he's exceptional human beings, so it's almost a case of he's took it in the chin and he's and he's just taking it.
- 14:20SPEAKER_02: I'm knocking on the Are you are you don't go don't get me wrong, you don't want to turn into a bad egg, but you almost want to be now brutal that I'm no pla like I'm getting left with this squad who's struggling.
- 14:30SPEAKER_02: Do you know what I mean?
- 14:31SPEAKER_02: Like what's you ever known a player?
- 14:32SPEAKER_02: Do you know what I mean?
- 14:32SPEAKER_02: Like that kind of not fall out, but like let him know that he's not happy.
- 14:37SPEAKER_02: Dylan, you ever known a player who's bullied his way back in the team?
- 14:40SPEAKER_02: I do.
- 14:40SPEAKER_02: Managers have went managers got a choice between leave Cammy Hart or out and say Galvin.
- 14:46SPEAKER_02: Galvin's like us, chatting his door, knocking on the door, it's much easier for him to go, you know what, fuck it, I'll leave Cammy out because he took it.
- 14:54SPEAKER_02: Well I was gonna ask him, he's been you've been involved a lot more recently than we have.
- 14:58SPEAKER_01: How would the lads take it when are you got a lot of knocking on your door or do they just accept it?
- 15:02SPEAKER_00: It depends on how you put it across.
- 15:04SPEAKER_00: But I wouldn't have been one to speak to them beforehand and go, oh, this is why, you know, I'd pick the pick the team we play if they want to come and see me.
- 15:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's up to them.
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: Some lads haven't.
- 15:16SPEAKER_00: You go right, you know, they've accepted it, some lads will, and you'll talk through why you'd made that decision.
- 15:21SPEAKER_00: But they all are.
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: Every time you speak to them, they're exceptional human beings.
- 15:25SPEAKER_00: I think though people can take it if you're honest with them.
- 15:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I suppose, yeah.
- 15:28SPEAKER_02: I don't mind getting left out if say you're on a four-game losing streak and that.
- 15:33SPEAKER_02: But say you've lost one out of three or something, and then you just decide to change it.
- 15:38SPEAKER_02: I would like to be pulled in before that when you've been playing.
- 15:42SPEAKER_02: But if you like, if there's a reason to if I pull you in, yeah, right, you wouldn't.
- 15:47SPEAKER_00: But if I pull you in and you you go, I say right, I'm gonna leave you out.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: What's your reaction to that?
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but I have more respect for you because you give us the heads up.
- 15:56SPEAKER_00: Then your reaction will be what you know and kick off, like you're saying about uh Galvin and that situation.
- 16:02SPEAKER_00: So why get into an argument beforehand?
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: I've had it myself with uh where a player's come and see me directly after a match.
- 16:08SPEAKER_02: No, no, but this I'm talking I'm talking the Friday.
- 16:11SPEAKER_02: I'm talking the Friday or something like that.
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: So I you kind of also comes down to the player, how experienced the player is.
- 16:17SPEAKER_00: Now it's a kid, a younger one, probably not gonna do that.
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: If it's an older one, you'll you'll have that conversation.
- 16:23SPEAKER_02: Do you think muff though, like sometimes it's better to get it out of the way before the Saturday?
- 16:28SPEAKER_02: Do you know what I mean?
- 16:29SPEAKER_02: Like, say you announce it an hour before the game and somebody's heads fell off, say Lummy's heads fell off, he's not expecting it.
- 16:36SPEAKER_02: Whereas if you pull him in a Friday and say this is my reasons, you might not agree with it, but no, I need you tomorrow, blah blah blah.
- 16:43SPEAKER_02: See by the time he comes in the Saturday, is he in a bit of headspace?
- 16:47SPEAKER_02: Do you know what I mean?
- 16:48SPEAKER_02: Because rather than giving them the news in front of the game, in front of the lads, and it's like complete head loss, and it affects that's the couple to the individual as well.
- 16:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah because if you have the Cameron Harper, like you were saying about maybe Galvin's a bit more spicy.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah, if you tell him how does he affect the group, does he even come in earlier knowing he's not playing and affect the group that's getting ready to play?
- 17:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: So yeah, I suppose yeah it's not a job sense, and you've got to probably gauge it for each individual and the time of the season it is, what run you're on, everything.
- 17:21SPEAKER_02: I think that's obviously management, isn't it?
- 17:23SPEAKER_02: Like knowing when and is the right time.
- 17:25SPEAKER_02: If you if you're making three or four scenes, you probably don't need to.
- 17:27SPEAKER_02: But if you're making one change and it's somebody that's been in the team for a while or it's been at the club for a while, or one of the senior lads who you know is getting influence, maybe it is worth just giving a wee heads up saying this is my reason.
- 17:38SPEAKER_02: Do you know what I mean?
- 17:38SPEAKER_02: Like But again, if he if the manager's thinking you're an amazing guy and you've taken the gym and you're brilliant, are you making it too easy for the manager just taking a leave you out?
- 17:52SPEAKER_02: Do you know what I mean?
- 17:52SPEAKER_02: Like you all you respect him, but you you want to know that he's he's fuming.
- 17:56SPEAKER_00: Do you know what I mean?
- 17:57SPEAKER_00: He's not happy.
- 17:58SPEAKER_00: Well, you were obviously saying it from a player's point of view.
- 18:00SPEAKER_00: I'm going looking at it from a manager's point of view.
- 18:03SPEAKER_00: The other side of the.
- 18:03SPEAKER_02: Sorry, I'm just putting a call.
- 18:04SPEAKER_02: What are you doing, Laps?
- 18:05SPEAKER_02: I see all right, are you getting his steps on after that chocolate bar?
- 18:09SPEAKER_01: I think he's got a new um he's got a new outfit, he's trying to show it off.
- 18:11SPEAKER_01: He's sweating, is he?
- 18:12SPEAKER_01: Look at you ever been left out of a really big game.
- 18:16SPEAKER_01: Oh, are you big?
- 18:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah, oh yeah.
- 18:18SPEAKER_01: Would have.
- 18:19SPEAKER_02: Let's have a think.
- 18:22SPEAKER_02: Really big game.
- 18:23SPEAKER_02: I hated being left out in the castle games and the Neil McDonald.
- 18:26SPEAKER_02: I know they're friendlies, but you know, when you're like buses, you're not playing, am I?
- 18:30SPEAKER_02: But the friendlies you think you'll get back in the first day of the season?
- 18:33SPEAKER_02: Neil MacDonald, the one he got sacked after, left out there after playing every game.
- 18:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah, before that was a bit.
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: But then you were going to go see him.
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: I was gonna go see him.
- 18:43SPEAKER_02: But he could have given us a heads up.
- 18:44SPEAKER_02: I put in four played 46 minutes.
- 18:46SPEAKER_01: So was that on the Saturday and you're gonna go and see him on the Monday?
- 18:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but he got I didn't know, I was out of the squad completely on the Saturday.
- 18:52SPEAKER_02: Or not even on the bench.
- 18:54SPEAKER_02: I got on the bench, so I knew something was up.
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: And I was like, So, yeah, that was gonna he was a different type of character as well.
- 19:01SPEAKER_00: So I got on with him and I like on with him, but you there was a clash.
- 19:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah, there was a clash at the end, I don't know why.
- 19:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 19:07SPEAKER_00: But going back to the what we were saying there about telling the player I left the player out um as a manager because he had been injured, hadn't trained all week, and I left him out because I believed he was injured, whereas he thought he wasn't.
- 19:19SPEAKER_00: So he came in the following week and was going crazy, had a whole weekend to think about, it was going mad.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: Ended up saying, like, yeah, get rid of me, I could like let me go.
- 19:29SPEAKER_00: And I was like, This is one one game where we thought you were injured, lost his head, and then had to speak to his agent.
- 19:36SPEAKER_00: Had to let him calm down, and he came in and apologised.
- 19:39SPEAKER_00: But I we believed he was injured.
- 19:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but he was saying he was fit.
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, one of my better players.
- 19:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 19:44SPEAKER_02: So you predate him, really, aren't you?
- 19:46SPEAKER_01: Then well I thought I was.
- 19:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but again, that's communication then.
- 19:50SPEAKER_01: He reacted up like that because, like you say, he's one of your better players, and he you must have he thought automatically he'll he'll play anyway.
- 19:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but he because he hadn't trained all week and then wanted to play, but we still thought he was good, and I couldn't risk losing him for longer six weeks.
- 20:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 20:06SPEAKER_00: So resting on that, he played now every game after that in the season, and he was excellent.
- 20:10SPEAKER_00: Uh huh.
- 20:11SPEAKER_00: But just that with the action.
- 20:12SPEAKER_00: I think it's fair to So if I told him beforehand he'd have lost it.
- 20:17SPEAKER_02: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 20:18SPEAKER_00: Oh god done.
- 20:19SPEAKER_02: I suppose it's like the character in it, as you you know, like if somebody's gonna be disappointed or somebody's gonna fly off the handle, and it's so if I told you and I explained every reason, would you agree with me?
- 20:30SPEAKER_02: Nah, to be fair, like I would always go in and I would I would like to ask the question why first.
- 20:35SPEAKER_02: So I would ask you, like, why am I left out?
- 20:37SPEAKER_02: Like, why have you left me out?
- 20:38SPEAKER_02: And then you you may have say, well, you've highly trained and we're protecting you.
- 20:42SPEAKER_02: I don't want and then that obviously alters.
- 20:44SPEAKER_00: You don't need protected though.
- 20:45SPEAKER_02: No, I know, like, but if that was the if that was the case, but if it was just a case of I've went with somebody else, or then I would I would like to bite my case, do you know what I mean?
- 20:53SPEAKER_02: Being like, no, I disagree or whatever it is.
- 20:55SPEAKER_00: Oh, but I'm sorry, I was saying, like, but when I if I say, Oh, I'm just protecting you, your answer would be I don't need protected, I'm fine, I'm good, I'm grand.
- 21:01SPEAKER_00: Because players will tell you as a manager, I'm fine, yeah, yeah, I'm fine, yeah.
- 21:04SPEAKER_00: Get the backup on.
- 21:05SPEAKER_00: And you have to make those decisions.
- 21:07SPEAKER_02: Yeah, interesting.
- 21:08SPEAKER_02: Call of the United.
- 21:11SPEAKER_02: This will make you sweat.
- 21:12SPEAKER_02: We went, we did, didn't we?
- 21:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we did pouring our money back into the club skip.
- 21:17SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you went?
- 21:19SPEAKER_00: I went, yeah, I was went and watched.
- 21:20SPEAKER_02: Can I just say quickly, the singing section?
- 21:23SPEAKER_02: I think it needs rethought.
- 21:24SPEAKER_02: I think we should go back in the road.
- 21:25SPEAKER_02: I know the acoustics aren't great, but put the kids back oh who are back in the Warwick Road end.
- 21:29SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I think so as well.
- 21:30SPEAKER_02: So they're not behind the go anymore.
- 21:32SPEAKER_02: No, there's people behind the goal blow the boxes, aren't they?
- 21:34SPEAKER_02: And it's just it's so guy.
- 21:37SPEAKER_02: It's what was the reason for them to change?
- 21:39SPEAKER_02: Some of them sticks in the roof.
- 21:40SPEAKER_02: You can't hear it.
- 21:41SPEAKER_00: Oh, they were fixing the roof though at the time.
- 21:43SPEAKER_02: No, they're not can't afford to fix the roof, I don't think.
- 21:45SPEAKER_02: They just want more noise out.
- 21:47SPEAKER_00: So behind the Warwick Road end, when we used to play, yeah.
- 21:51SPEAKER_00: The fans are cheering when you're kicking towards that way, it was brilliant.
- 21:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, that's what I mean.
- 21:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah, makes it the family.
- 21:57SPEAKER_02: Well, I get the the the the the noise doesn't Harry, which it doesn't, but I could hear it when you're playing.
- 22:03SPEAKER_01: Do you know what popped up on my YouTube today your game at home against Leeds when you beat them 3-1?
- 22:07SPEAKER_01: Aye.
- 22:08SPEAKER_01: It was packed, wasn't it?
- 22:09SPEAKER_01: 16,000.
- 22:10SPEAKER_01: Ah, it was up.
- 22:11SPEAKER_01: They brought a few lights.
- 22:12SPEAKER_01: But not only that though, some of the players in your team.
- 22:15SPEAKER_02: Alright, it was good.
- 22:16SPEAKER_02: Danny Graham and suck the ball in the net.
- 22:20SPEAKER_02: Does make a difference.
- 22:21SPEAKER_02: It does make a difference.
- 22:22SPEAKER_02: We've got a question on it in a bit, actually, about which way you that they they give the opposition players.
- 22:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 22:28SPEAKER_02: Well, the the reckon the Bradford player told Hunts when we were kind of done off the warm-up in the playoff game, you know, the other yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 22:36SPEAKER_02: Said we were kind of fit as the drove in, everyone's banging on the coach, and that's quality, it was good.
- 22:40SPEAKER_02: Not overstepping the mark, and well, it kind of is, but then when the uh warmed up, he said because everyone got in the ground that day, everyone got in for like 10 past two or whatever it was, and just was was on them.
- 22:52SPEAKER_02: It was a bit like that with Leeds because Dennis Wise was arguing with uh thingy Mitchell, Dave Mitchell, groundsman, the work tour to toe.
- 23:01SPEAKER_02: Well, and that because Dennis Wise warmed up in the ground in the goal mouth, they're not meant to Mitchell was an arse, like class.
- 23:11SPEAKER_02: So, Murph, we had a conversation regarding fans' reactions on Sunday.
- 23:16SPEAKER_02: So we're doing a lot on Carl this week, more than we did last week, and that's not because we won and we're probably up and over it, we just get a lot more reaction when they lose, don't we?
- 23:25SPEAKER_02: But when we were talking about social media and forums, etc., and Facebook after the game, the fans seem busy and vocal when we lose and negative, but when it we win, it gets a bit quiet on there.
- 23:40SPEAKER_02: So what were you thinking on that?
- 23:42SPEAKER_02: We were speaking about it.
- 23:43SPEAKER_00: What am I thinking about it?
- 23:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah, the loudest ones are always the detractors.
- 23:48SPEAKER_00: That's when they get ended on social media.
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: I got it myself as manager.
- 23:55SPEAKER_00: You get it, just where people are pretty loud and vocal, but it gets more engaging.
- 23:59SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 23:59SPEAKER_00: Whereas if people come on saying they played well.
- 24:02SPEAKER_00: I know you said lose, but I know they drew.
- 24:04SPEAKER_00: Performance wasn't great, but Linny scores that penalty, it's three points.
- 24:09SPEAKER_00: Like you said at the start, it doesn't matter as long as you get three points.
- 24:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 24:12SPEAKER_00: But negativity seems to get more traction.
- 24:16SPEAKER_02: I think the thing is though, if you play like that, you've got to win.
- 24:20SPEAKER_02: You know what I mean?
- 24:20SPEAKER_02: If you if you play like that and it wasn't great, you've kind of got to win to paper over the performance.
- 24:25SPEAKER_02: And when you don't, you suddenly go, Well, we're watching all that for not winning.
- 24:30SPEAKER_02: Do you get anything?
- 24:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I know what you mean, yeah.
- 24:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 24:32SPEAKER_01: Like you said, paper of the cracks, but it was because people put up with Hughes, didn't they?
- 24:35SPEAKER_02: Hughes wasn't Hughes' football wasn't the greatest to watch.
- 24:38SPEAKER_02: But then at the end of the day, you'd win a one-nil and that paper over the style over substance, wasn't it?
- 24:43SPEAKER_02: You know what?
- 24:44SPEAKER_02: No one cares a week later.
- 24:45SPEAKER_02: And the players had loads of confidence because you're winning one nil, aren't you?
- 24:49SPEAKER_02: Do you think they lack a lot of confidence at home now?
- 24:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 24:52SPEAKER_01: Every every time what I noticed was a lot of them just first thought was to be safe and go back.
- 24:59SPEAKER_01: A lot of the time.
- 25:00SPEAKER_01: I mean, I know keeping the ball and stuff, but I think a lot of the time Duru on one side is strong, uh, he's strongest.
- 25:07SPEAKER_01: He looks best when he's when he goes out.
- 25:09SPEAKER_01: Well, we say that.
- 25:11SPEAKER_01: But a lot of the time I think they get in his space that he can run into, like the likes of Jenks and stuff, the over like they overcrowd it.
- 25:18SPEAKER_01: I think you should leave him one-on-one.
- 25:20SPEAKER_00: So generally, it looks like at the start of the season, the way they set up, they try and overload a wide area.
- 25:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 25:26SPEAKER_00: Saturday they didn't really do that, but they had Galvin and Duru, two fullbacks, playing wing back.
- 25:32SPEAKER_00: So when they were receiving it probably 15 yards higher than they'd want to, yeah.
- 25:35SPEAKER_00: I'm faced up with you as a fullback.
- 25:38SPEAKER_00: I'm not a winger, so I can't beat you.
- 25:39SPEAKER_00: So I'm gonna go back.
- 25:40SPEAKER_00: Go back, yeah.
- 25:41SPEAKER_00: It used to be the same under uh Simo, even in the promotion season that the two wing backs were fullbacks, they'd get the ball out of them, they'd be back, but then they had like the likes of Moxie and putting balls into the box.
- 25:52SPEAKER_00: Whereas we we didn't have Kelly on Saturday.
- 25:56SPEAKER_00: So in the first half, you would see Linny and Aja Boy that were weren't really involved in the game.
- 26:01SPEAKER_00: Aja Boy had two runs and shots when they got the ball, but apart from that, they weren't really involved.
- 26:10SPEAKER_00: It makes it quite difficult.
- 26:11SPEAKER_00: But also on the other side, that kid him instead I felt four, five, one, no ambition to commit bodies forward.
- 26:18SPEAKER_00: It was literally just frustrating them, innit?
- 26:21SPEAKER_00: Well, they never turned them around, never put balls in behind them.
- 26:24SPEAKER_00: That's a fan.
- 26:25SPEAKER_00: Whereas the defensive side, you're comfortable because it's so slow.
- 26:31SPEAKER_02: That's your game plan, though, isn't it?
- 26:32SPEAKER_02: Company Brunton Park.
- 26:34SPEAKER_02: Just frustrate them.
- 26:35SPEAKER_02: But that's frustrates.
- 26:39SPEAKER_02: I I couldn't believe they kept that work ethic up.
- 26:41SPEAKER_02: I know the the work on their left side, wasn't it?
- 26:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 26:44SPEAKER_02: Because they got back, they got in shape, and you thought they'll tire at one point, yeah.
- 26:48SPEAKER_01: And the other centre half, didn't he?
- 26:50SPEAKER_01: Even little times when they nearly he was screaming at them like he was a proper leader.
- 26:54SPEAKER_01: I don't can't remember.
- 26:54SPEAKER_01: It was one of them the centre half, so he was really vocal, yeah.
- 26:57SPEAKER_00: And they were but I thought they'd have had an easy day.
- 26:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 27:00SPEAKER_00: There was balls pumped into the box, the keeper came, punched, made a few blocks.
- 27:04SPEAKER_00: But we didn't really put lot a lot of balls in where you had bigger lads going in and attacking you.
- 27:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 27:10SPEAKER_02: So it was they seem like a lot of ball carriers, don't they?
- 27:12SPEAKER_02: Like, like wanting the ball, as you said, mocks and stuff would take off in behind, make runs in behind, make stretch them a little bit, and then the spaces open up.
- 27:20SPEAKER_02: When I look at them, the games I've seen, everybody's good on the ball, they all want the ball to dribble.
- 27:24SPEAKER_02: But then all jenks and stuff, they all connect their game.
- 27:27SPEAKER_02: But as you said, if you're a defender and he's popping in areas, just leave them.
- 27:31SPEAKER_02: But if you've got one running in behind you and you're passing him on as a midfielder and stuff, it's that's create a bit for a matter of chaos.
- 27:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but there were two runs in the first half that Linny Linny made an inverted run, bent his run, and he was in, but they took the easy options to go short, and then Aziz did it as well in the first half.
- 27:47SPEAKER_00: I think it was on the Jack Ellis side where he could have just put a ball into the channel for a run, it was a great run, and he turned it down.
- 27:54SPEAKER_00: So, as a defence, yeah, you're alright.
- 27:56SPEAKER_00: You just stay stay in your hands.
- 27:57SPEAKER_00: As players, you stop doing it, innit?
- 27:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 27:59SPEAKER_02: You shouldn't, but you make a couple of them and they don't do it, and then or they see it and they'll they'll they'll kind of they shuffle a wee bit quicker because they think, oh, he's making running behind, so I'll just close up the space.
- 28:09SPEAKER_02: So if you don't get it once or twice, it kind of forward who used to play with Peter B.
- 28:14SPEAKER_02: Anyway, and I just stopped making runs.
- 28:19SPEAKER_02: Um we've got a little text in from Adam from Derd R.
- 28:22SPEAKER_02: So what did we learn?
- 28:24SPEAKER_02: I thought the crowd were good, didn't get into them too early, but the game, the way the game was played, nothing really to get you going.
- 28:30SPEAKER_02: I thought Jenks was slow, Nicholson slow and soft, Wheelan comes on, very lightweight, Aziz, flat as the deceive.
- 28:38SPEAKER_02: Um dead ball delivery, really crap on the weekend.
- 28:42SPEAKER_02: Bunker laboured, galvin, subbed again.
- 28:45SPEAKER_02: It's kind of the same things.
- 28:46SPEAKER_02: We're reiterating every week.
- 28:48SPEAKER_02: Um, that's from Adam from Didur.
- 28:50SPEAKER_02: I've uh got in dude.
- 28:51SPEAKER_02: Oh, sorry, I got in touch with Aziz's coach, Neil Wayne, right?
- 28:55SPEAKER_02: Remember Wayne?
- 28:56SPEAKER_02: Neil Wayne, yeah.
- 28:56SPEAKER_02: He had Aziz last year at Morecambe.
- 28:59SPEAKER_02: He's another chop, isn't he?
- 29:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he's another chop.
- 29:03SPEAKER_02: But he said he's technically brilliant, but picks up the ball too deep and just wants to get on it all the time.
- 29:09SPEAKER_02: Very poor, out of possession.
- 29:11SPEAKER_02: Yes, and he's he's set I mean that's the first time I've seen him not really have a desire to get when I've watched him properly, he's usually I mean the organisation one off his set pieces were poor.
- 29:20SPEAKER_00: Oh, I said yes, really poor.
- 29:21SPEAKER_00: But then again, you would say that the set pieces because when you said about confidence, they seem to be just with the long throw in and put the ball into the back post, like there's no mix-up on the play.
- 29:32SPEAKER_00: But then there was the one corner where Feeney hit the headers because he's he's actually done a whip, yeah, whereas normally he drives it up to the back post, puts up more that's a little bit of a different.
- 29:42SPEAKER_02: He's got the ability, I know he's got the drill as well.
- 29:44SPEAKER_02: I've seen him do that, can I drill it?
- 29:45SPEAKER_02: But he's got that when he could whip it and the defenders and like people getting across you've just.
- 29:49SPEAKER_01: Well, you can get a little bit frustrated with him because he has got a hell of a lot of ability, hasn't he?
- 29:53SPEAKER_00: Um but like in the last two or three games, he's been pushed higher up, yeah.
- 29:56SPEAKER_00: So away from home bunker being the depot, and you'd say, right, he's shutting up shop.
- 30:00SPEAKER_00: But that home of the way they sat off, you think, right?
- 30:02SPEAKER_00: They think you should go get on it, yeah, push bunker higher.
- 30:04SPEAKER_00: He can get in and beat it, probably that physical.
- 30:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 30:07SPEAKER_00: But it just seemed to be they didn't do that.
- 30:12SPEAKER_02: What about um the post that went up about Aziz just before he went into the ground on Saturday?
- 30:18SPEAKER_01: The new trim.
- 30:20SPEAKER_02: He's arrived, bleach blonde, looked a million dollars, shades, nose ring, nice earrings.
- 30:25SPEAKER_02: But what did you see straight away?
- 30:27SPEAKER_02: Everyone's saying, Well, he better put pressure on him, I thought.
- 30:30SPEAKER_02: He's better better produced today.
- 30:32SPEAKER_02: But that's media teams for you.
- 30:34SPEAKER_02: So when you got a club, didn't you?
- 30:35SPEAKER_02: You got a uh tram line before you went in.
- 30:38SPEAKER_02: Did you get them little two tram lines at the back?
- 30:40SPEAKER_02: When I got went to TikTok and got the transport, nah, as media teams know what every club knows.
- 30:46SPEAKER_02: You see it on Twitter now when they're just trying to be funny, trying to engage with fans and stuff and putting content out.
- 30:51SPEAKER_02: The big picture for me, I'm like, don't don't bring any attention, especially like the the media, like recently the games with some of the boys on TikTok and stuff like getting slaughtered.
- 31:03SPEAKER_02: So just cover games, we've won a few games.
- 31:06SPEAKER_02: Let's just don't bring any attention.
- 31:07SPEAKER_02: Keep that guy's a hair bottom.
- 31:09SPEAKER_02: He runs the show, release it and go, This man was quality today.
- 31:12SPEAKER_02: Ah, that's the right time, isn't it?
- 31:13SPEAKER_02: Like Neil Lennon, like whoever's in charge of the media team, Neil Lennon would have had them in Monday morning.
- 31:17SPEAKER_02: Aye, honestly, he would have had aye would have had him in.
- 31:20SPEAKER_02: Like you're giving people at us to sit around a table and bring attention to it.
- 31:25SPEAKER_02: Like could it even be a pot of disease going to be a good one?
- 31:28SPEAKER_02: Oh yeah, he probably would aye.
- 31:30SPEAKER_02: He probably would.
- 31:31SPEAKER_02: I think on performance as well.
- 31:32SPEAKER_02: Listen, you can do what you want, do you know what I mean?
- 31:34SPEAKER_02: He's his own man, he's he's built up his profile, he does what he does.
- 31:38SPEAKER_02: But if you're not performing on the pitch, and then it looks like you're you're kinda more interested in now how you are as a profile in social media, then that's where people come for you, innit?
- 31:50SPEAKER_02: Do you think Linny's story on Saturday night was a bite?
- 31:53SPEAKER_02: I didn't say it, what was it?
- 31:55SPEAKER_02: Uh he's out with his pals, a few bottles of wine.
- 31:59SPEAKER_02: Nothing like he wasn't didn't look like he was drinking them and that, but he knows, doesn't he?
- 32:03SPEAKER_02: He's not silly enough to go, he's chucked so he must have got a bit of grief and chucked it out there and just went, This is my life.
- 32:10SPEAKER_00: Like but again, you were saying about the negative side, he's probably personally got a load of yeah stuff about the penal miss, and then he that's his reaction to maybe.
- 32:20SPEAKER_02: I think the media training course is his reaction.
- 32:23SPEAKER_02: Like, I've I do think there's probably people taking pictures of him and it's got out there probably somehow.
- 32:27SPEAKER_02: Do you know what I mean?
- 32:29SPEAKER_02: I'll put it up, which which is fine, he's made plans, you know what I mean?
- 32:33SPEAKER_02: But I just I I just think when I was kind of coming through and managers I worked under, they they would either get two weeks fined for that.
- 32:40SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I think you've we've we've dropped points, yeah, you've you've missed a penalty in the last minute, which people do.
- 32:47SPEAKER_02: Why are you posting pictures on a night out?
- 32:50SPEAKER_02: My aspect.
- 32:51SPEAKER_02: Have your night out.
- 32:51SPEAKER_02: If people take pictures of you, that's fine.
- 32:53SPEAKER_02: But why are you posting pictures?
- 32:54SPEAKER_02: And then again, people at us can sit down and bring negative attention to it.
- 32:59SPEAKER_02: Don't let your manager have anything on you.
- 33:01SPEAKER_02: Like, that's what I mean.
- 33:02SPEAKER_02: So don't like when he goes in on Monday, you're probably thinking maybe I might get pulled in, yeah.
- 33:06SPEAKER_02: But don't we said three, four weeks ago, didn't we?
- 33:09SPEAKER_02: We're like, see for the next period of game, say six games or eight week block, lads, live your life play footballers, like come off social media, just concentrate what happens in that pitch.
- 33:19SPEAKER_02: And see when we get that right, we'll start enjoying things on social media and the fans are backies.
- 33:24SPEAKER_02: But then now we're just giving them and like we're giving them ammo just to come at us all the time.
- 33:28SPEAKER_02: Like, what's the point?
- 33:28SPEAKER_02: I think it's past that now, me.
- 33:30SPEAKER_01: I think it's just a part of the way of life now, the more I think about it.
- 33:34SPEAKER_01: Shouldn't be.
- 33:35SPEAKER_01: But I just think you see so many I've I've I've go through, I was on social media to say you get it so low down, it doesn't matter what league it is, but it's every day in the life and all every day there's a new there's a new somebody different is a new Instagram or technical.
- 33:46SPEAKER_02: You're not gonna stop it now.
- 33:47SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's I'm watching a lad day in the life players with a red line on a sending that would be well worth watching, wouldn't it?
- 33:54SPEAKER_00: Uh we've got but did we not say this in the last time?
- 33:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we did.
- 33:57SPEAKER_02: To be honest, you give us a little insight to the youngins are brought up with that now and they've got a post.
- 34:01SPEAKER_02: I just say what would you think, Muff, like if you had a couple of players who were that active on social media?
- 34:08SPEAKER_02: Or have you had them?
- 34:10SPEAKER_02: Would you would you leave it or would you be active on social media?
- 34:12SPEAKER_02: So if people are if people bringing it to your attention, being like if it was brought to my attention for the wrong reasons, but I do think when I'm when we mentioned about COVID, everything that people are sat at home, so then making uh yourself known online became the thing.
- 34:29SPEAKER_00: That is what it is these days to try and raise your profile.
- 34:33SPEAKER_00: As long as he's not doing anything, if he's out of Saturday night, they don't have a game till the next week.
- 34:39SPEAKER_00: A couple of glasses of wine or yeah, it wasn't even after it's just it wasn't Jaeger bombs in his eyeballs, and you know, it wasn't it stupid, but again, it just the perception of it doesn't look right for everybody's gotta have a life as well.
- 34:55SPEAKER_00: But maybe you don't need to advertise it as much.
- 34:58SPEAKER_02: That's like you're probably good examples where you've had a lot of now times where he's probably out on a Saturday, like most weeks, do you know what I mean?
- 35:06SPEAKER_02: But it wasn't publicized, you know what I mean?
- 35:09SPEAKER_02: He didn't post it as much, like there was no need to, like there's no need to go night out and put it on like it's as if the night out doesn't happen unless you post it.
- 35:17SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I have to do that.
- 35:18SPEAKER_00: Then we're talking about a night out, but then we're also talking about Aziz coming to a game beforehand and they're about getting slaughtered for each, so no matter what.
- 35:23SPEAKER_00: No, I don't think that's Aziz's fault.
- 35:25SPEAKER_00: Like, I think that's just social media, like that's the people that run it.
- 35:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I think it's social media, like he's just gone out and got a haircut, and he's but again, because of the results, great.
- 35:32SPEAKER_02: There's a backlash.
- 35:33SPEAKER_02: Backlash, yeah.
- 35:34SPEAKER_02: No matter what you do, there's a backlash.
- 35:35SPEAKER_02: But I seen one on a Friday being like, We've turned a corner, we've done this, we've done that.
- 35:40SPEAKER_02: Which you kind of need to try reinforce messages.
- 35:44SPEAKER_02: Do you know what I mean?
- 35:44SPEAKER_02: That he's at, but the proof's in the pudding, do you know what I mean?
- 35:48SPEAKER_02: Like you haven't turned a corner, like not yet, anyway.
- 35:51SPEAKER_02: Do you know what I mean?
- 35:51SPEAKER_02: You've no went five, six games on the bouse, and then it's like, all right, we're on a run now, it's like two games away from home, back to a home game.
- 35:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah, full slat again.
- 35:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 36:00SPEAKER_02: Ah, it was poor, it was poor.
- 36:02SPEAKER_02: Just got this in from Jonathan from Gillsland.
- 36:05SPEAKER_02: After the kid have missed the game, we looked a bit off it.
- 36:08SPEAKER_02: Fingers will be pointed at Regan Linny for his missed pen, amongst others.
- 36:11SPEAKER_02: Last season he did so well under Hughes, looked more ruthless in front of goal.
- 36:15SPEAKER_02: Is it because Hughes understood Linny better as he was also a goal scorer, or that Frankie McIlvoy, it's McAlvoy, isn't it?
- 36:22SPEAKER_02: McAlvoy, yeah, was always putting his arm round in or patting on the back and just being that older generation that every player would listen to and respect and know they would always be looking out for you.
- 36:31SPEAKER_02: We have a relatively young coaching staff at the moment with Elliott and Story at the helm.
- 36:36SPEAKER_02: We seem more successful than older head floating around, like Frankie McIlvoy or Dennis Booth type.
- 36:41SPEAKER_02: Would Simmo be an asset to players and also the young coaches when needed?
- 36:45SPEAKER_02: That's sometimes we look a little bit too lost and a little bit too soft.
- 36:48SPEAKER_02: P.S.
- 36:49SPEAKER_02: Lummy, you've been in more pubs than John Smith's.
- 36:53SPEAKER_00: That was usual.
- 36:54SPEAKER_02: Um I like the old school, older person round.
- 36:59SPEAKER_02: I'm not saying that we get anything well.
- 37:00SPEAKER_02: Linny, I think Linny's been played out of position a few times.
- 37:03SPEAKER_02: I think he's better on the left.
- 37:04SPEAKER_02: Um, he just used to hit things well thinking last year, and we've all had them purple patches, whether it's defender or in midfield when you're hitting or paddle, when you're in that little 30-second uh I didn't find that on uh Sunday.
- 37:17SPEAKER_02: But you know, when you have that little spell in a game where you just everything you hit, yeah.
- 37:21SPEAKER_02: So Liddy's not having that at the minute, but also I do understand the older coach who's been there and done it, who can just say to Rob Elliott, we said it a couple of weeks ago, we go, you know what, Rob, have three you don't come in today.
- 37:33SPEAKER_02: Like, I'll take today.
- 37:34SPEAKER_02: You just go and have a little rest, refresh your mind, come back in what Tuesday, a bit more ready for it.
- 37:40SPEAKER_02: He sat next to us, wasn't he?
- 37:41SPEAKER_02: And he looked next to us up that's it's hard, isn't it?
- 37:43SPEAKER_02: When you look at the person next to you, he was 10 yards to the right of us, and when the pen didn't go in, he just slumped in his seat.
- 37:48SPEAKER_02: There was a lot of things.
- 37:49SPEAKER_02: I think Book had a chance, didn't he?
- 37:51SPEAKER_02: One of the better chances, Jenks as well, had a chance, and I looked at him and it was like, if you score that, like it just makes things easier.
- 38:01SPEAKER_00: The only thing there when it says Linny has we said the last time, yeah.
- 38:04SPEAKER_00: Linny was more successful on the left, so even uh Rob Elliott changed it near the end to go 4-3-3, put a Bierro top, and then Linny wide and add your boy, but then anytime the fullback's got or it was uh Nicholson, he'd drive forward with it, but then Linny ran inside rather than keeping with, and you go, that's where he wants it.
- 38:24SPEAKER_00: Just or just get Nicholson to run away and just create the space for Linny so as he can get on it, but they just seem to run inside and they're just running into the bodies of Kiddeminster, and he goes, That just needed to be just stay wide, just stay wide and try and create that space there.
- 38:36SPEAKER_02: Speaking of all the heads, David Davis in midfield 35 now, isn't he?
- 38:40SPEAKER_02: Ex-Wolves, Birmingham, he was just he was just not yes, he's still athletic, but he just knew where the ball was going.
- 38:47SPEAKER_02: He was just telling I bought the Hadley and Kingdoms that had a lot of vocal players there, and they were just like knew the game plan, stay in the game as long as they could.
- 38:54SPEAKER_02: And I was impressed with him because sometimes when you work that hard, you tire, don't you?
- 38:58SPEAKER_02: Probably the penalty was the tiring bit, just finally got there.
- 39:01SPEAKER_02: Big Tom Anderson, big in him.
- 39:03SPEAKER_02: I play him, yeah.
- 39:06SPEAKER_02: From John Tyson, all right, lads.
- 39:08SPEAKER_02: The podcast just get better and better.
- 39:09SPEAKER_02: The less said about Saturday's game, the better.
- 39:12SPEAKER_02: A double question Do you think playing towards your own fans in the second half makes a difference?
- 39:17SPEAKER_02: And do you think the manager not being on the pitch side makes a difference?
- 39:21SPEAKER_02: One thing you can't see is that Elliot is passionate.
- 39:24SPEAKER_02: Um, I like hitting towards your own fans second half.
- 39:28SPEAKER_02: I think everyone does, doesn't they?
- 39:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah, of course they do, yeah.
- 39:30SPEAKER_00: But again, with them in the world end wouldn't would make a difference.
- 39:33SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I think it makes a difference to the players as well.
- 39:35SPEAKER_02: That spur of energy and stuff, and the manager on the sideline, yeah.
- 39:40SPEAKER_02: Sometimes you do look over and you want that either the nod or you want the yeah, he's barking orders and stuff, and he and even kids were wanting selfies and that, weren't they?
- 39:49SPEAKER_01: And I felt for him, he's like, he's trying to watch the game, kids are wanting selfies and that.
- 39:52SPEAKER_01: And you know what?
- 39:54SPEAKER_01: He was trying to like not be looking at him, he's ignoring the kids, but like the games on, do you know what I mean?
- 40:01SPEAKER_02: Where they do the Radio Cumbria now with the animals.
- 40:04SPEAKER_02: I thought he might have sat there, but fair play to him, he was there.
- 40:08SPEAKER_02: Aye, yeah, I think obviously you want your manager on the side, don't like organising a bit and even speaking to staff, getting at me, speak to defenders or whatever it is.
- 40:17SPEAKER_02: Do you know?
- 40:19SPEAKER_02: He's ahead.
- 40:20SPEAKER_02: And if he's not there, then it's trying to communicate upstairs and stuff, it's difficult.
- 40:25SPEAKER_02: Right, Matt Elliott.
- 40:27SPEAKER_02: Lack of quality, lack of intensity, and more concerning certain players shirking challenges.
- 40:32SPEAKER_02: There's a reason Hughes didn't play the likes of Wern and Wheeling, yet they are back in the squad.
- 40:37SPEAKER_02: Then you've got the summer sign-ins, the majority who have been below par.
- 40:40SPEAKER_02: It's a concern when you'd be more confident with Dubois on that penalty than you would be Linny.
- 40:45SPEAKER_02: Kiddermint's had their game plan, but we allowed it to execute it from Matt Elliott.
- 40:49SPEAKER_02: You said, didn't you?
- 40:50SPEAKER_02: Let the keeper take it, the pen.
- 40:52SPEAKER_02: He's got some strike on him, hasn't he?
- 40:54SPEAKER_02: You just uh well I just thought I thought Linny would have just gone up and I thought he's gotta just last it last time.
- 41:01SPEAKER_02: He opened right up, didn't he?
- 41:02SPEAKER_02: It looks I know obviously when you watch it back, it looked very obvious that he was just going to over the way, didn't he?
- 41:07SPEAKER_02: Didn't it?
- 41:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 41:09SPEAKER_00: Did you see the clip of the penner afterwards?
- 41:11SPEAKER_00: Have you seen it?
- 41:12unknown: Yeah.
- 41:12SPEAKER_00: The foul?
- 41:13SPEAKER_00: No, that when Linny's gonna take the pennel.
- 41:16SPEAKER_00: So we have one player on the left side, yeah, and you have the rest of the players on the right side.
- 41:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah, gives a keeper a clue, you mean?
- 41:24SPEAKER_01: Does it give a clue?
- 41:24SPEAKER_01: Does it give a keeper?
- 41:25SPEAKER_01: Well, now you say that's going now, yeah.
- 41:26SPEAKER_00: I never dives that way because they're all expect they know he goes down, they know where he goes out.
- 41:30SPEAKER_01: It's a good point, yeah.
- 41:30SPEAKER_02: If if I was wasn't taking a pen, I wouldn't know where he was going.
- 41:35SPEAKER_02: So I would line up either way and not on that.
- 41:38SPEAKER_02: But as you're right, the the keepers might have looked and went, there's four lads there and one there.
- 41:42SPEAKER_02: I'll go there.
- 41:43SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 41:43SPEAKER_02: The keeper was on loan from Man City, and for a skinny lad, he'd not have came for crosses and punched and reckon he saved three pens this season.
- 41:51SPEAKER_01: Has he?
- 41:51SPEAKER_01: Aye, I don't know.
- 41:53SPEAKER_02: Was bitten Linny's pen bad?
- 41:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because he missed.
- 41:56SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but was it it's no bad pen.
- 41:59SPEAKER_02: I think it's just keep us guess right, and he went a key.
- 42:02SPEAKER_02: Maybe lowest or whatever, but it was like he hadn't taken it.
- 42:05SPEAKER_01: He ran up and we went.
- 42:06SPEAKER_01: We were sat there though, weren't we?
- 42:08SPEAKER_01: We were like, we're not we weren't like overly confident he was gonna score.
- 42:10SPEAKER_01: We were like, oh, it's just the way the game's gone and that, and then he missed you, like that's a margin zone, yeah, exactly.
- 42:15SPEAKER_00: Again, 90 90th minute puts that pin out away, everybody goes away happy, even though the performance wasn't.
- 42:21SPEAKER_02: Everyone will be buzzing when they're walking off the pitch and that's the difference.
- 42:24SPEAKER_02: I think last year, Mark Hughes, they were they were dropping for him.

- 48:33SPEAKER_02: Example would be David James.
- 48:35SPEAKER_02: Collins John, John Collins.
- 48:37SPEAKER_02: Correct, Skiff, but you could have given the punters a little bit of time.
- 48:40SPEAKER_02: Let him get the equation.
- 48:42SPEAKER_02: You know what?
- 48:43SPEAKER_02: I went, I'll leave it.
- 48:44SPEAKER_02: I'll leave it because I don't know it.
- 48:46SPEAKER_02: And then it quite Collins John centre forward.
- 48:48SPEAKER_02: John Collins centre mid, bicep king, first half, right arm.
- 48:55SPEAKER_02: Love that.
- 48:56SPEAKER_02: Which player was known as Il Divine Cadinho, the divine ponytail.
- 49:04SPEAKER_02: Which player was known as the Divine Ponytail?
- 49:07unknown: Ponytail.
- 49:08SPEAKER_01: Bajur.
- 49:09SPEAKER_02: Correct.

- 49:36SPEAKER_02: Sponsor?
- 49:38SPEAKER_02: Carlsburg, no?
- 49:40unknown: Yeah.
- 49:41SPEAKER_02: Carlsburg?
- 49:41SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 49:42SPEAKER_02: Is it?
- 49:42SPEAKER_02: Hibbs 96 to 2004.
- 49:44SPEAKER_02: Liverpool 92 to 2010?

- 49:52SPEAKER_02: You're gonna come on to what we've done the last well, I haven't done it yet.
- 49:55SPEAKER_02: Used to it.
- 49:55SPEAKER_01: Is that what's on the is that what's on the notepad?

- 50:02SPEAKER_02: No five pages and do you know it?
- 50:06SPEAKER_02: I'll refer to it.
- 50:07SPEAKER_02: Refer to it.
- 50:08SPEAKER_02: Come on, then.
- 50:08SPEAKER_02: Well be good.
- 50:09SPEAKER_02: This go me on this.
- 50:11SPEAKER_02: Go keep it.
- 50:16SPEAKER_02: Snap.
- 50:17SPEAKER_02: Why?
- 50:19SPEAKER_02: Because he saved two of my pens.
- 50:21SPEAKER_02: Who was he playing for at the time?
- 50:23SPEAKER_01: Shrewsbury, Shrewsbury.
- 50:25SPEAKER_01: Was he a young lad then?
- 50:27SPEAKER_02: I said Carl Hawley took a shot down there, and where usually a keeper would parry it, he collected it.
- 50:34SPEAKER_00: Just pulled out saves.
- 50:36SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 50:37SPEAKER_00: Like you're not scoring.
- 50:39SPEAKER_00: Was he loud?
- 50:40SPEAKER_00: I can't remember.
- 50:41SPEAKER_00: I can't remember then.
- 50:42SPEAKER_00: Because he was only young, you wouldn't expect it, but he commanded his goal.
- 50:46SPEAKER_00: He was and what he's turned out to be.
- 50:50SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 50:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he was thinner, but he was just the career he's had.
- 50:55SPEAKER_00: So the few of mine will be because of what they were and the career they've had rather than just how they played.
- 51:02SPEAKER_02: What's your formation?
- 51:04SPEAKER_02: 3-4-3.
- 51:06SPEAKER_02: Good star though.
- 51:07SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 51:07SPEAKER_02: He was good at Celtics, Joe Hart as well, a couple years back.
- 51:10SPEAKER_02: Long neck.
- 51:10SPEAKER_02: It's amazing, isn't it?
- 51:11SPEAKER_02: 10-year, hasn't he?
- 51:13SPEAKER_02: Amazing ten year ago, this all would have been 4-4-2, wouldn't he?
- 51:18SPEAKER_02: So Joe Hart, nice one there.
- 51:20SPEAKER_02: Right sided centre half then.
- 51:22SPEAKER_00: Harry Maguire.
- 51:25SPEAKER_00: Harry Maguire.
- 51:26SPEAKER_00: I remember when he was four.
- 51:28SPEAKER_00: Hull Hull was it?
- 51:29SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 51:29SPEAKER_00: And he was only young then.
- 51:32SPEAKER_00: And he was just like a man mountain then.
- 51:35SPEAKER_00: And he's obviously developed now.
- 51:37SPEAKER_00: He's huge.
- 51:38SPEAKER_00: The career he's had.
- 51:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 51:39SPEAKER_02: Can you remember him being decent on the ball, or back then was it kind of just you remember him for no, he was decent on the ball then, but they were like just dominated the league at that point.
- 51:50SPEAKER_00: But he just I remember just looking at him when I was a man looking at him going, oh my god.
- 51:55SPEAKER_02: But that big when he was next to you.
- 51:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's a like you know, when you say somebody's just an animal huge, just the way they're built.
- 52:05SPEAKER_02: Could you see it or not?
- 52:07SPEAKER_02: Going, could you see it that you went, uh what will he be then?
- 52:10SPEAKER_02: Because it was so easy.
- 52:11SPEAKER_02: Oh, young, like is in a teenager young or yeah, I said about I would have said about 18.
- 52:15SPEAKER_02: What was it like kind of agility-wise?
- 52:18SPEAKER_02: Like, was he mobile?
- 52:19SPEAKER_02: Was he he was good in the ball and attacked the ball?
- 52:22SPEAKER_00: But that was a game where like when you'd see him, he was they just dominated.
- 52:27SPEAKER_00: So and then any ball that would come up, he could hold anybody, but just and then he was comfortable, so you were like it's not worse, is that it's strong and comfortable.
- 52:36SPEAKER_00: So you can't say half it's confident, strong and good in the ball.
- 52:39SPEAKER_00: And then you see where far he's gone.
- 52:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because he gets he gets stick now, but he's England captain, Man United captain.
- 52:47SPEAKER_00: You mean your legs are gonna go?
- 52:48SPEAKER_02: He was slow, wasn't he?
- 52:49SPEAKER_00: At the weekend, scored the best penalty I've ever seen.
- 52:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah, hit you know, his off Kevin Pressman's.
- 52:56SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's what I was expecting to buy.
- 52:58SPEAKER_02: Uh we'll go left sided centre half, birth.
- 53:01SPEAKER_00: I went well just because of who they are, Richard Dunn.
- 53:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you're in the Man Mountain, yeah.
- 53:08SPEAKER_00: So Richard Dunn, do you remember him?
- 53:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I do, yeah.
- 53:10SPEAKER_00: He was he used to play back in Ireland when I when I was a kid.
- 53:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah, was he a centre half?
- 53:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, right, yeah.
- 53:18SPEAKER_02: He seems like played centre mid.
- 53:21SPEAKER_02: Huge played centre mid against me in the reserves, didn't he?
- 53:25SPEAKER_00: Good like for Man City, just from well, from a young age, he was always in the like the good team around Dublin.
- 53:31SPEAKER_00: You know, you could see he was gonna be something came across to England, got into the first team straight away.
- 53:38SPEAKER_00: He did aye because that then Man City, yeah, you know, absolutely excellent, quick, so quick.
- 53:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you wouldn't think that, wouldn't you?
- 53:46SPEAKER_02: Not when you think yeah, it could done.
- 53:47SPEAKER_02: You wouldn't.
- 53:47SPEAKER_02: I bet yeah, I bet he's up at 500 appearances.
- 53:50SPEAKER_02: I was gonna say that he must be in the top league a lot, yeah.
- 53:52SPEAKER_02: Because QPR as well.
- 53:53SPEAKER_02: I think he went QPR.
- 53:54SPEAKER_02: He must have played until he was a good day, he's no, he looked, or maybe he just looked like me and looked older.
- 53:58SPEAKER_02: He always looked a bit like Gary Pallister breathing out his horse, didn't he?
- 54:02SPEAKER_02: But he was like I was bang on.
- 54:07SPEAKER_00: Howard Kendall put him in.
- 54:10SPEAKER_02: Is he a sweeper or no?
- 54:12SPEAKER_00: He's just another animal.
- 54:13SPEAKER_00: Who?
- 54:13SPEAKER_00: Colin Henry.
- 54:14SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 54:16SPEAKER_02: So you were at Blackburn as a boot boy, yeah.
- 54:19SPEAKER_02: But like well, quite yes.
- 54:24SPEAKER_00: I wanted to put Kev Gray in, but I because you said he had to play against that's the type that I would look at and just go like they're unbelievable.
- 54:32SPEAKER_02: You got two ball playing around him.
- 54:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but was he good with you?
- 54:36SPEAKER_00: He wasn't even the biggest.
- 54:37SPEAKER_02: Was he good with years though at Blackburn with the kids?
- 54:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he was he was excellent, but just I'm more like as a captain, a leader, for what he gave on the pitch.
- 54:49SPEAKER_00: You'd like you'd see his slightkles all the time.
- 54:51SPEAKER_00: He was a little straight.
- 54:52SPEAKER_00: Big Mizuno boots, wasn't it?
- 54:53SPEAKER_00: It looked like he enjoyed the rugby rugby studs, like he enjoyed it.
- 54:57SPEAKER_00: He did, but he was the type of like even if there was a big centre forward, like a Van Hydunk or whatever, he would run and jump off their calf.
- 55:03SPEAKER_01: Ah just that's how you take off.
- 55:06SPEAKER_00: That's how he like just do that.
- 55:10SPEAKER_00: Nasty from a young age of looking at that and going, Oh my god, yeah, you don't have to be six foot five.
- 55:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's just you're just gonna lift up off of the cards, I'm sure.
- 55:18SPEAKER_02: Right now we've got the last picks out of the way.
- 55:21SPEAKER_02: Midfield's defenders today.
- 55:24SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna go so if you're playing four, right wing, am I saying?
- 55:27SPEAKER_00: Right wing back, what we're calling it, what we're calling it, right wing back, you'll see where the way this develops.
- 55:32SPEAKER_00: It wasn't really a team I was putting together to play a game.
- 55:36SPEAKER_02: Right, okay.
- 55:37SPEAKER_02: Who's there?
- 55:38SPEAKER_02: Just names.
- 55:38SPEAKER_02: Who's there?
- 55:39SPEAKER_02: Kyle Walker.
- 55:40SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
- 55:41SPEAKER_02: He's always nice.
- 55:43SPEAKER_02: Chef United.
- 55:44SPEAKER_02: Rapid.
- 55:44SPEAKER_02: No, he was was he at Spurs then?
- 55:46SPEAKER_02: Oh, yes, he played against Spurs in the cup, didn't you?
- 55:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 55:49SPEAKER_02: Oh, I remember I was commentating and he sprinted.
- 55:52SPEAKER_02: I went, oh my god.
- 55:53SPEAKER_02: I'd seen Lennon about a month.
- 55:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and and then doesn't it?
- 55:58SPEAKER_01: I think him and Gareth Bale and all that in the same team.
- 56:00SPEAKER_01: Pace everywhere.
- 56:01SPEAKER_02: There was summit yesterday.
- 56:03SPEAKER_02: Modric Bale Walker, and they said, How did Tottenham not win anything?
- 56:06SPEAKER_02: And you had Huddleston and then who was it?
- 56:08SPEAKER_02: Gina Janice.
- 56:09SPEAKER_02: Do you mean Janice and stuff?
- 56:11SPEAKER_02: So Kyle Walker just out and out pace.
- 56:13SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 56:14SPEAKER_02: Both ways, up and down.
- 56:15SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 56:15SPEAKER_02: Strong.
- 56:16SPEAKER_02: Energy strong.
- 56:21SPEAKER_00: Who you just picked?
- 56:22SPEAKER_00: Huddleston.
- 56:23SPEAKER_00: He was one player.
- 56:25SPEAKER_00: Where he was just a Rolls Royce, six foot three.
- 56:28SPEAKER_02: You had obviously left by the time you played for Manu.
- 56:31SPEAKER_02: The reserves essentially.
- 56:32SPEAKER_02: You played for Manu in the 21s as a the mentor.
- 56:36SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 56:38SPEAKER_02: What a job, man.
- 56:39SPEAKER_02: He looked like he had one because of his size.
- 56:41SPEAKER_02: I was like, it's just when he when he hits it makes a different noise, like Gerard.
- 56:47SPEAKER_00: But it was both feet.
- 56:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it was.
- 56:49SPEAKER_00: As well.
- 56:49SPEAKER_00: Just so easy for him.
- 56:51SPEAKER_00: And he was huge.
- 56:52SPEAKER_00: Aye, you wouldn't get the ball for him.
- 56:54SPEAKER_00: What did he just run the game against you?
- 56:57SPEAKER_00: And you watch him week in, week out, just the size of him.
- 57:00SPEAKER_00: Get on the ball.
- 57:01SPEAKER_00: You couldn't get near him because he saw and then spray the ball left, right, and centre with both feet.
- 57:06SPEAKER_00: Just like a joy to watch.
- 57:08SPEAKER_02: Next to him with a joy to watch from sending off.
- 57:10SPEAKER_02: Oh well lads, get near him.
- 57:14SPEAKER_02: Drop drop.
- 57:16SPEAKER_02: Drop Barkey.
- 57:21SPEAKER_00: Ross Barkey.
- 57:22SPEAKER_02: Yes, in the Fickup game.
- 57:23SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 57:23SPEAKER_02: Size of him as well.
- 57:24SPEAKER_02: And he was only 18.
- 57:26SPEAKER_02: He did, he was massive that day.
- 57:27SPEAKER_02: I don't know if I've said this, but he was that size when we were like 16.
- 57:30SPEAKER_02: Was he?
- 57:30SPEAKER_02: He played against him when like Scotland England, like the victory shields, all that kind of coming through.
- 57:35SPEAKER_02: And he was that size when he was like 15, 16 year old.
- 57:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 57:38SPEAKER_00: Absolute monster.
- 57:39SPEAKER_00: So yeah, when he came and played at Brunt of Barga, he absolutely bossed the whole game, and just the sheer size of him, and he was gone, that's just the level of Premier League.
- 57:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 57:49SPEAKER_02: That's the difference.
- 57:50SPEAKER_01: The size of people when he played at Brunt Park, was that when he was getting touted for a move?
- 57:53SPEAKER_01: Or not if you have all round all the time.
- 57:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it was like Chelsea were in.
- 57:57SPEAKER_02: I was everyone was in for him.
- 57:58SPEAKER_02: But I was the same as Murph.
- 58:00SPEAKER_02: I was only commentating and I was like, look at the size of that large.
- 58:03SPEAKER_02: Because on the the telly, you can see who's big or not.
- 58:05SPEAKER_02: You didn't really think that.
- 58:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 58:07SPEAKER_02: But then he was some.
- 58:08SPEAKER_02: It's like we were saying about Gerard when you're next to him.
- 58:11SPEAKER_02: It's much bigger than the biggest.
- 58:13SPEAKER_02: They're just like strong.
- 58:14SPEAKER_02: You can't knock them off the ball.
- 58:16SPEAKER_02: If you get close to them, just get the arm out, the arse out, they put it quicker, like quicker than you think.
- 58:20SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 58:21SPEAKER_02: It's powerful.
- 58:22SPEAKER_02: Tell you, remember Alan Smith played up front for Leeds and that.
- 58:25SPEAKER_02: I ran into him and he's not like the blonde boy.
- 58:29SPEAKER_02: I kill it.
- 58:30SPEAKER_02: Snacked.
- 58:31SPEAKER_02: It's like, ah, just that's horrible.
- 58:36SPEAKER_02: Like he's not the weights, he's not that weird machine or now, it's just like fuck off.
- 58:41SPEAKER_02: Like you're bruised after it.
- 58:43SPEAKER_02: Aye.
- 58:45SPEAKER_02: So on the left?
- 58:47SPEAKER_00: On the left with Lalana.
- 58:49SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
- 58:50SPEAKER_00: In the final Southampton, yeah.
- 58:52SPEAKER_00: Well, that season he's played against them.
- 58:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that season he was absolutely frightened, and he went on to play for Liverpool and England, but just really dynamic, and the way he turned with the ball was just so quick.
- 59:03SPEAKER_00: Great air.
- 59:05SPEAKER_02: So imagine him in training, though, like some of the fiver sides in that.
- 59:08SPEAKER_02: It looked like he played like street football, didn't he?
- 59:10SPEAKER_02: Like just so good in the ball, drifting by people.
- 59:13SPEAKER_02: Ah, he was yeah, he was ahead of his time.
- 59:15SPEAKER_02: Imagine him now, like say we were just starting now.
- 59:18SPEAKER_02: It would be like Do you know that he plays for Fild?
- 59:21SPEAKER_02: Uh Danny Mayor, no.
- 59:23SPEAKER_01: He's like a like he's that sort of for the way he turns with the ball, like both ways and stuff.
- 59:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you can't get near him.
- 59:28SPEAKER_02: See that Makatee for um it's City, but he's at Nottingham Forest now.
- 59:31SPEAKER_02: And then the man had can't get him in at number 10.
- 59:33SPEAKER_02: He's put him as the Elliot Arnison watching on Sunday, weren't we?
- 59:37SPEAKER_02: And just to like get him on the ball because he's class in tight spaces, apparently.
- 59:42SPEAKER_00: Lalana, he was a good player.
- 59:43SPEAKER_00: Class.
- 59:43SPEAKER_00: Well, that's why he was so good at finding pockets, but then turning so quick by knowing it, no one was around him, creating at Wembley as well.
- 59:51SPEAKER_02: Oh, get near him, sir.
- 59:55SPEAKER_00: You're not getting near anyone.
- 59:58SPEAKER_00: So he's looking shown back, shown back.
- 1:00:04SPEAKER_02: So the forward line something that's the forward line is very good.
- 1:00:08SPEAKER_02: Lambert, I'll put him in the middle.
- 1:00:10SPEAKER_02: Oh yeah.
- 1:00:13SPEAKER_02: Oh see.
- 1:00:14SPEAKER_00: Ricky Lambert.
- 1:00:15SPEAKER_00: So Ricky Lambert, just for what he did, like how far he went.
- 1:00:19SPEAKER_02: He's in that Halty Glenn Murray role, isn't he?
- 1:00:23SPEAKER_00: He's one of the other ones.
- 1:00:24SPEAKER_00: Which I know.
- 1:00:26SPEAKER_00: Uh but yeah, just the sheer size of him.
- 1:00:28SPEAKER_00: Again, he was like I I marked him.
- 1:00:30SPEAKER_00: I can remember at Bristol Rovers because he'd been in a few clubs and had marked him before.
- 1:00:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:00:33SPEAKER_00: And then at Bristol Rovers, I just couldn't get near him.
- 1:00:36SPEAKER_00: He was huge, couldn't win anything in the air.
- 1:00:37SPEAKER_00: I was trying to call in Hendry, didn't he?
- 1:00:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:00:40SPEAKER_00: Couldn't even get up on the f on the floor, he balled him into him.
- 1:00:43SPEAKER_00: He'd wrapped the first time, like switch play, and then you just go, Oh my god.
- 1:00:46SPEAKER_02: So you wouldn't have been centre half when we played against him for Rochdale, but you would have been centre half the year after the no John Ward, yeah, League One, wouldn't you?
- 1:00:55SPEAKER_02: You were aye Bristol Rovers.
- 1:00:57SPEAKER_02: So that's when he was starting to crack right on, wasn't he?
- 1:00:59SPEAKER_02: When he was taking free kicks from like 40 yards, he couldn't have to take a free kick as well, couldn't he?
- 1:01:03SPEAKER_02: He got an England Corp as well, didn't he?
- 1:01:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:01:05SPEAKER_02: Southampton bought him like a million, I think.
- 1:01:07SPEAKER_02: Did he?
- 1:01:08SPEAKER_02: Don't remember Southampton bought him for Bristol Rovers, and Southampton fans were going, what we're doing.
- 1:01:12SPEAKER_02: Manager went, We're in League One, watch what happens, and he just went, Yeah.
- 1:01:16SPEAKER_02: On the left or right, Merv?
- 1:01:18SPEAKER_00: Well, I'll just next to him.
- 1:01:20SPEAKER_00: I have Glenn.
- 1:01:21SPEAKER_00: Glenn Murray Murray.
- 1:01:23SPEAKER_00: Only because do you remember Glenn when he was younger?
- 1:01:27SPEAKER_02: You can't do 50 keep-ups still.
- 1:01:29SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 1:01:30SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 1:01:31SPEAKER_00: And that's being generous.
- 1:01:33SPEAKER_00: Well, at the start, Glenn, like he was, I think he was at Workington and all that, like on trial there, and he came on trial to us, and he was so raw.
- 1:01:42SPEAKER_00: So raw that like so what did they see in him then?
- 1:01:44SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 1:01:45SPEAKER_00: We get to that.
- 1:01:46SPEAKER_00: So his touch, you could just stand and just watch his touch and take it off him because you knew you would get it.
- 1:01:52SPEAKER_00: Because his touch was so bad.
- 1:01:53SPEAKER_00: But the second he got a sight on goal, he used to call his two feet Pinky and Perky.
- 1:02:01SPEAKER_00: Pinky and Perky, just bang, bottom corner.
- 1:02:03SPEAKER_00: Oh, there's another one for Pinky.
- 1:02:05SPEAKER_00: Perk, honestly.
- 1:02:07SPEAKER_00: And uh he was so raw that you would you would never see him playing there, like getting to the level he did, and then played against him a few years later at the Whitdean for Brighton, and Brighton were flying, and I just thought Glenn, take the ball off you, and then it was bang in, gone.
- 1:02:23SPEAKER_00: He's turned and gone.
- 1:02:24SPEAKER_00: I'm like, oh where's this coming from first minute?
- 1:02:28SPEAKER_02: I went, eh.
- 1:02:30SPEAKER_00: Totally, like just got better.
- 1:02:31SPEAKER_00: Is that just the environment?
- 1:02:32SPEAKER_01: Yeah, is he the most you've any you've seen anyone improve in in some in a player from what he was to what he got to?
- 1:02:38SPEAKER_02: Ross Daley found his goal scoring form, yeah.
- 1:02:41SPEAKER_02: But at Brighton, I reckon you caught the coach him and coached him and coached them.
- 1:02:45SPEAKER_00: But because he was that natural finisher, yeah.
- 1:02:47SPEAKER_00: You you coach him and develop in that way.
- 1:02:48SPEAKER_00: You don't have to teach him how to finish.
- 1:02:50SPEAKER_00: No, nothing.
- 1:02:50SPEAKER_00: He um signed that's the hardest thing to do, honestly.
- 1:02:54SPEAKER_02: Simo signed him because he said he's like we've got nothing else, like he's not like nothing that we've got.
- 1:02:58SPEAKER_02: He he says, I can put him on last 30, or I can start him and he'll run them ragged.
- 1:03:03SPEAKER_02: Don't even score, he'll run them ragged.
- 1:03:05SPEAKER_02: Probably got mad of the match in the playoff final.
- 1:03:07SPEAKER_02: Really, he was like wore everyone down constantly, but he had a good got a couple of goals for us, though.
- 1:03:12SPEAKER_00: But yeah, he's he ended up being like because he was a pest, he'd run like everywhere, fit as anything, but then so good in the air again because he's he's a big lad as well.
- 1:03:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and then he went and played on the Premier League, scored goals.
- 1:03:25SPEAKER_00: So, you know, from from where he was to where he got to, brilliant.
- 1:03:29SPEAKER_02: Fair player, fair player again, and it's because I looked after him in Magalov.
- 1:03:34SPEAKER_02: Me, him and Bones in a room.
- 1:03:37SPEAKER_02: Some bad club, fake London jeans, right?
- 1:03:40SPEAKER_02: It's 38 degrees.
- 1:03:42SPEAKER_02: Middle of the day.
- 1:03:43SPEAKER_02: Alright, Bones doing his hair.
- 1:03:46SPEAKER_00: That's a club.
- 1:03:47SPEAKER_02: Right, last one.
- 1:03:49SPEAKER_00: Last one was the just the Enigma for a few years that we played against Shaw Bolton every week.
- 1:03:55SPEAKER_00: Trundle, yours is quite near mine, yeah.
- 1:03:59SPEAKER_00: I'll change mine now because a joy to even play against the watch.
- 1:04:03SPEAKER_00: Just go, wow.
- 1:04:04SPEAKER_02: It wasn't in that final at the end, but we couldn't get the ball on him for four minutes.
- 1:04:08SPEAKER_02: He was just doing these tricks.
- 1:04:09SPEAKER_02: I went, someone do them.
- 1:04:10SPEAKER_02: So I ran in.
- 1:04:11SPEAKER_02: I think he's Meg Me.
- 1:04:16SPEAKER_00: He used to do his like thing, he'd just catch it on his chest, and he'd roll it all over the shoulders and go again.
- 1:04:21SPEAKER_00: He'd have the one with drawing, he'd roll his foot over the ball and go do it away.
- 1:04:24SPEAKER_00: Who do we tell Danny?
- 1:04:25SPEAKER_00: It was Danny Livesy.
- 1:04:27SPEAKER_00: He always does this, rolls it over and goes it away.
- 1:04:29SPEAKER_00: No problem, I've got it.
- 1:04:30SPEAKER_00: No, honestly, he does it in the first minute.
- 1:04:31SPEAKER_00: He rolls it over, Danny's gone that way.
- 1:04:36SPEAKER_03: So good.
- 1:04:37SPEAKER_03: So good.
- 1:04:37SPEAKER_01: Did he not do the sock of the M thing?
- 1:04:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, he's got clips on him on that when he'd like on the chest.
- 1:04:42SPEAKER_01: Oh, isn't that thing?
- 1:04:43SPEAKER_01: Every week he was off.
- 1:04:44SPEAKER_02: But he was a good player.
- 1:04:46SPEAKER_02: Chunk it good, good sword player.
- 1:04:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah, good.
- 1:04:48SPEAKER_02: Seeing the shape he's in now.
- 1:04:50SPEAKER_02: Aye for the boxing.
- 1:04:51SPEAKER_02: Was he?
- 1:04:51SPEAKER_02: Is he?
- 1:04:53SPEAKER_02: It's a good team.
- 1:04:54SPEAKER_01: That is very, very good.
- 1:04:57SPEAKER_01: That's got a bit of it in there, isn't it?
- 1:04:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:04:58SPEAKER_02: He was good.
- 1:04:59SPEAKER_02: Your Lambat and your Glen would get you out of divisions, wouldn't it?
- 1:05:03SPEAKER_01: What it's easy to get a corner, though you'll be so I'm I'm I'll stay up with it.
- 1:05:07SPEAKER_01: I'll go with the edge of the box.
- 1:05:08SPEAKER_01: I'll come with you.
- 1:05:09SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 1:05:10SPEAKER_02: What's the crack?
- 1:05:11SPEAKER_02: Hi, lads.
- 1:05:12SPEAKER_02: This is from Sean Houghton.
- 1:05:14SPEAKER_02: Hi, lads.
- 1:05:14SPEAKER_02: Been playing and watching football all my life.
- 1:05:16SPEAKER_02: Half decent standard.
- 1:05:18SPEAKER_02: What is driving me mad at the minute, and as it would happen, and as it would happen, it's driving me mad, was brought up by Ali McCoist and Sean Dysh on Talk Sport earlier.
- 1:05:29SPEAKER_02: The tempo of play.
- 1:05:30SPEAKER_02: They were discussing Man United and how their tempo was so slow.
- 1:05:34SPEAKER_02: And it's the same with Carlisle.
- 1:05:35SPEAKER_02: Nicholas Ellis, Bunker Feeney Dubois, stop the ball dead and put their foot on it and roll it.
- 1:05:43SPEAKER_02: I know they were trying to drag someone out, but the opposition are not biting.
- 1:05:47SPEAKER_02: Then when they pass it, it's rolled so slowly along the back line and into midfield and back again.
- 1:05:52SPEAKER_02: Rob Lee said on a recent podcast under the cushion that Peter Biazi would give four out of five balls away in a game.
- 1:05:58SPEAKER_02: Rob Lee would say, Come on, Pedro.
- 1:06:00SPEAKER_02: And Biazzi would say, if I get one of them right, we win one nil.
- 1:06:04SPEAKER_02: So I I noticed this on Saturday.
- 1:06:05SPEAKER_02: It's de bois.
- 1:06:07SPEAKER_02: Not so much feeling.
- 1:06:08SPEAKER_02: Ellis does it a lot, but Ellis quite a bit of a better pass.
- 1:06:11SPEAKER_02: The rest, there's nothing on it.
- 1:06:13SPEAKER_02: Foot on the ball, foot on the ball, foot on the ball, foot on the ball.
- 1:06:15SPEAKER_02: And it's like, just drum come a bit forward with it.
- 1:06:18SPEAKER_02: And then as I say, the passes along the back are really slow.
- 1:06:22SPEAKER_02: Like fair to Kidaminster, they were like, when they got out, they were driving it, but where where Oz was a little bit people like the seas.
- 1:06:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think the recognizes and runs forward, but then that would be where you would like to think of a team comes and plays the way they did, because that no team's done that for 90 minutes.
- 1:06:42SPEAKER_00: So maybe Carlo haven't played against that before to break it down.
- 1:06:45SPEAKER_00: So they think you know we we're alright in possession, but Kidaminster are comfortable out of possession.
- 1:06:53SPEAKER_00: So yes, two or three balls just to turn around.
- 1:06:56SPEAKER_00: I read Carlo Angelotti's book.
- 1:06:58SPEAKER_00: And it was again, he's one of the best coaches in the world when everything you said, like if a team tries to press you man for man and you can't get out playing, go over them, you know, the team sits off you rather than keeping a deep, just go over them.
- 1:07:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you know that's the top coach saying you've got to mix it up, mix your player but said it about Dubar.
- 1:07:17SPEAKER_00: I felt they only had one centre forward on Saturday, Walker, yeah, and everybody else sat off, but then Dubar went long more than I I think we should.
- 1:07:28SPEAKER_00: A lot, but they're gone long up to Linny and Aja Boyd, two big centre backs.
- 1:07:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they win the first one, the midfielders maybe they got the second one when they could have played it out.
- 1:07:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but also when a team's not as confident, and I think Story said it himself that the they're probably not as confident as they are, you take an extra touch.
- 1:07:45SPEAKER_00: You probably more carefully.
- 1:07:49SPEAKER_00: So it's a bit maybe it's softer rather than wrapping it in.
- 1:07:51SPEAKER_00: We're confident somebody just goes bang, bang, bang.
- 1:07:54SPEAKER_01: You know, you don't think about it, do you just do it, yeah.
- 1:07:56SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but that's where I've got to like ah, this is what that annoys me, I think, because even if you're having a stinker, the likes of Jamie Devitt and that they would like we're talking about Peter Viazia, you'd still do it.
- 1:08:08SPEAKER_02: Whereas I think now there's too many safety and come off and go, I'm not seeing the collar lads do, but we've seen oh my pass percentage is up, my passive percentage is this, my stats have triggered this, my stats have triggered that.
- 1:08:19SPEAKER_02: But if they go and watch the game, you're like, you've you've you've not created anything, you've not been in that zone, you've been right in front of the back four.
- 1:08:26SPEAKER_00: I'd love for Aziz to get on the ball and just ping, you know, two or three into the challenge, as long as lads knew to make their ones in behind, because then the defence starts to go, oh Joe Garner was great for that.
- 1:08:36SPEAKER_02: I've called where you can just pop it in and they're after it.
- 1:08:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but that's the partnerships between players known.
- 1:08:42SPEAKER_02: And Linny and Azure Boy aren't centre forwards, are they?
- 1:08:45SPEAKER_02: So that's kind of they're kind of you can see with their body language, do I come, do I not?
- 1:08:49SPEAKER_02: What Skip was saying before, if one of them comes as he's you go in behind, or or bunker, because he's got it in his locker.
- 1:08:55SPEAKER_02: McArn will do that when he comes back, he'll go in behind.
- 1:08:58SPEAKER_02: They're all ball carriers, aren't they?
- 1:08:59SPEAKER_02: As we said earlier, like they'll come to feet and pop it and we'll try to break them down.
- 1:09:04SPEAKER_02: But sometimes, as we said, you need that third runner behind just to stretch the game.
- 1:09:08SPEAKER_02: And even if even if you put one in behind and they're sitting a half like heads it down and gets it, yeah.
- 1:09:12SPEAKER_02: At least you're in the final third, and then it breaks up the rhythm of what they're doing.
- 1:09:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:09:16SPEAKER_02: Do you mean if they're just sliding, you don't you could do it in training all night and you want to get through?
- 1:09:20SPEAKER_02: Do you know what I mean?
- 1:09:20SPEAKER_02: But it you do something a bit different, it it creates a bit of chaos.
- 1:09:23SPEAKER_02: Yeah, greater question that.
- 1:09:27SPEAKER_02: This is who's this from Michael.
- 1:09:29SPEAKER_02: Hi guys, great work on the pod.
- 1:09:31SPEAKER_02: Keep up the good work.
- 1:09:32SPEAKER_02: Your chat about chocolate last week reminded me of an argument I have with the missus.
- 1:09:36SPEAKER_02: So wonder if you could help me settle this.
- 1:09:39SPEAKER_02: Is a chocolate biscuit a biscuit or a chocolate?
- 1:09:42SPEAKER_02: I'm very much in the biscuit camp, whereas my missus is in the chocolate camp.
- 1:09:46SPEAKER_02: To be fair, she agrees a chocolate digestive is actually a biscuit, and that the biscuit has to be fully covered for it to be chocolate.
- 1:09:54SPEAKER_02: So she's not a complete lost cause.
- 1:09:56SPEAKER_02: But how would you feel if you asked someone to grab you chocolate from the cupboard and they think you would have you think it would be acceptable to come back with a gold bar or a penguin rather than a ripple?
- 1:10:07SPEAKER_02: Appreciate your input on this very important topic.
- 1:10:10SPEAKER_02: That's good.
- 1:10:11SPEAKER_02: Who's that, Michael?

- 1:10:17SPEAKER_02: From Michael Burgess.
- 1:10:19SPEAKER_02: He's having a debate with his missus, but then she's another lost cause because she says, like, if it's covered in chocolate, it can't be chocolate.
- 1:10:25SPEAKER_02: But when he said, Go and get me a bar of chocolate and he's expected a ripple, she's bringing back a penguin bar.
- 1:10:30SPEAKER_01: My missus said, I'll get you a bar of chocolate and she brought like a I don't know, a hobnob.
- 1:10:34SPEAKER_01: I'm like, what's that?
- 1:10:36SPEAKER_02: I'm not there.
- 1:10:37SPEAKER_01: Then she'd go.
- 1:10:39SPEAKER_02: Then she'd then she'd say you'd have it and you're having it, and you go, okay.
- 1:10:42SPEAKER_01: And I'll go and get someone else.
- 1:10:43SPEAKER_01: Don't hit me.
- 1:10:45SPEAKER_01: Maybe Michael needs to finish it.
- 1:10:48SPEAKER_01: They couldn't be married from have we cost someone the first marriage?
- 1:10:53SPEAKER_02: First of all.

- 1:10:57SPEAKER_02: Coach, you've got to have a right.
- 1:10:59SPEAKER_02: No, a chocolate digester is a biscuit.
- 1:11:02SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:11:03SPEAKER_02: Um, a penguin, though, is kind of biscuit.
- 1:11:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:11:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah, they don't they don't.
- 1:11:08SPEAKER_02: But that biscuits has to be fully covered in chocolate.

- 1:11:11SPEAKER_02: It's on the wrapper.
- 1:11:12SPEAKER_02: I think they're confusing each other.
- 1:11:14SPEAKER_02: We'll call it a draw.
- 1:11:16SPEAKER_02: I like how you appreciate your input on this very important topic.
