Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Now the Red Beret has returned to radio. Curtis lee
- 0:05Speaker 1: Wall guest host The Mark Simone Show on sevent ten.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Woo oh yeah, generic music upon my return. You know,
- 0:24Speaker 2: would a ben appropriate Dizzy Izzy if we to come
- 0:27Speaker 2: in with Donna Summer's classic on the radio?
- 0:31Speaker 3: Huh?
- 0:32Speaker 2: I mean, the diva of all divas when I was
- 0:36Speaker 2: the whirling dervish on the dance floor at a number
- 0:40Speaker 2: of clubs. But anyway, the fact is, you come in
- 0:43Speaker 2: with generic music. Ugh. And by the way, as the
- 0:48Speaker 2: President of the United States announced that today is Donald
- 0:51Speaker 2: Trump Day, yet I'm sure that's going to come up
- 0:53Speaker 2: within the course of his conversation, said, hey, why we
- 0:56Speaker 2: call it President's Day? Why don't we just call it
- 0:58Speaker 2: Donald Trump Day? And all of his sick fans todies
- 1:00Speaker 2: and like his brilliant idea, outstanding you the best, You're
- 1:06Speaker 2: better than George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.
- 1:08Speaker 3: Come on, yeah, keep feeding that humongous ego.
- 1:12Speaker 2: That needs a crane to get him in and out
- 1:14Speaker 2: of the Oval office. See, and I gonna hear that
- 1:17Speaker 2: on talk radio. It's like an echo chamber. I love Trump. Oh,
- 1:23Speaker 2: it's sort of like it's like the Barney song. Yeah,
- 1:26Speaker 2: I hated Barney. I had to watch Barney with my
- 1:30Speaker 2: sons growing up. And it's just I'll get to that momentarily. Yeah,
- 1:35Speaker 2: we're gonna talk about President Stay, We're gonna talk about Epstein.
- 1:40Speaker 2: One thing I do give for President Trump a lot
- 1:43Speaker 2: of credit for is opening up those files. Although Pam
- 1:48Speaker 2: Bondy was, eh, we do all on my desk.
- 1:51Speaker 3: No they weren't. We'll get to that. Oh yeah, and
- 1:55Speaker 3: oh wait.
- 1:55Speaker 2: A second, wait a second was starting to open up
- 1:58Speaker 2: the investigation of what was said.
- 2:01Speaker 3: To be the suicide.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Of one of the greatest guitar players of all time.
- 2:10Speaker 3: And I'm gonna let you think about that.
- 2:13Speaker 2: I'm just gonna say, twenty seven, twenty seven, twenty seven,
- 2:16Speaker 2: all right, maybe you can connect the dots.
- 2:18Speaker 3: We're gonna touch it all, Zoran man Dami.
- 2:23Speaker 2: The snow is still out there and it's turned yellow,
- 2:26Speaker 2: you know from what yellow snow and all the homeless
- 2:31Speaker 2: and emotionature.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Yeah, we're gonna cover it all.
- 2:35Speaker 2: But whenever I do talk radio and I come in
- 2:39Speaker 2: to studios like here at w AWAR, I think of
- 2:42Speaker 2: all those people who are paved the way for so
- 2:47Speaker 2: many of us to just read talking points and get paid,
- 2:51Speaker 2: because really that's what talk radio has become. I'm gonna
- 2:55Speaker 2: get into that momentarily. But uh, the one thing I
- 2:59Speaker 2: noticed out of the super that I watched with my
- 3:01Speaker 2: wife Nancy, the only thing I really liked. Although I
- 3:04Speaker 2: liked Bad Bunny, Yeah, I did like Bad Bunny saw
- 3:07Speaker 2: on first time when he did that duo with Drake
- 3:10Speaker 2: and Puerto Rico.
- 3:12Speaker 3: Good stuff.
- 3:13Speaker 2: The rest of you could have watched something else, you see,
- 3:16Speaker 2: that's the beauty of America. If you don't like what
- 3:19Speaker 2: you're watching or listening to, you have a variety of options.
- 3:23Speaker 3: You either turn it off or change the channel.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Huh, let's call variety. That's what America is. Free speech.
- 3:32Speaker 2: It's not one point of view, one way. This is
- 3:35Speaker 2: the only way you challenge authority. You question, you have curiosity,
- 3:42Speaker 2: don't just become a lemming. Unfortunately for many listen to
- 3:47Speaker 2: talk radio, that's what it's becoming. It's chased others away.
- 3:51Speaker 2: But I pay tribute first to Bernard McGirk. Every time
- 3:55Speaker 2: I did talk radio at WABC, the ecroonym stood for
- 3:58Speaker 2: Alwish Broadcasting Curtis thirty five years I would give a
- 4:03Speaker 2: tribute to Bernard McGirk because unfortunately he passed away in
- 4:06Speaker 2: twenty twenty two at sixty four, should never have died.
- 4:10Speaker 2: He didn't take a PSA test, the simple prick of
- 4:13Speaker 2: the finger. So if we're gonna achieve anything in these
- 4:15Speaker 2: two hours, maybe we can save some lives out there.
- 4:19Speaker 2: There was this one commercial as amazed, I saw Glankowski
- 4:24Speaker 2: tight end and so another guy think was George Kittle
- 4:28Speaker 2: is sitting there actual tight ends who played in the NFL.
- 4:33Speaker 2: And it said a PSA test will allow a man
- 4:37Speaker 2: to relax his tight end. And I said, man, this
- 4:41Speaker 2: is good because one in eight men will be diagnosed
- 4:44Speaker 2: with prostate cancer. And unfortunately, even though there are a
- 4:48Speaker 2: lot of remedies now that didn't exist when I had
- 4:51Speaker 2: stage four prostate cancer and unfortunately I had my prostate
- 4:55Speaker 2: out there were another remedies. I'm still paying the price today.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Bernard McGirk lost his life because he didn't get a
- 5:05Speaker 2: simple prick of the finger of blood test. Please, wherever
- 5:09Speaker 2: you are listening to this show today, there's nothing more
- 5:12Speaker 2: important than saving lives. We're going to talk about that
- 5:14Speaker 2: later on when we talk about Jeron Mondamini his inability
- 5:17Speaker 2: to save the lives of homeless and emotionally disturbed persons
- 5:20Speaker 2: that froze to death. I know I was personally out
- 5:23Speaker 2: there with the Guardian Angels. You can check all of
- 5:25Speaker 2: that out on my social networking. But we paid tribute
- 5:29Speaker 2: to him because I remember the day he died. WABC
- 5:33Speaker 2: was never the same, never the same dis he is
- 5:34Speaker 2: he You were there, You remember that guy Knew talk radio.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Unfortunately for the others who remain, it's like a repetition
- 5:44Speaker 2: over and over, the same.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Show, over and over and over.
- 5:49Speaker 2: The other one, naturally, I have to pay tribute to
- 5:51Speaker 2: is the king of all talk radio, Bob Grant.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Nobody was better.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Not only was he enlightening and toldless things we didn't know,
- 6:00Speaker 2: but most important, he was entertaining.
- 6:02Speaker 3: He would give you a good belly laugh.
- 6:04Speaker 2: When's the last time you had a really good belly
- 6:06Speaker 2: laugh listening to Talk Creative? I'll tell you I get migraines.
- 6:10Speaker 2: I got a flip to EDM electronic dance music with
- 6:14Speaker 2: my wife. Oh, host of DM song starting with Chainsmokers.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Don't let me down. A lot of you did in
- 6:21Speaker 2: the election. I don't want to hear that tizzy izzy
- 6:23Speaker 2: people come up to me. I vote a few. If
- 6:25Speaker 2: all the people came up to me voted for me,
- 6:27Speaker 2: I would have been mayor of the City of New
- 6:29Speaker 2: York and we would have been in better shape at
- 6:30Speaker 2: this point.
- 6:31Speaker 3: No, we'll get to that later on.
- 6:33Speaker 2: And then, of course this thing of ours, talk radio
- 6:38Speaker 2: was created by and when I say talk radio, I
- 6:42Speaker 2: mean taking calls from people you never heard before in
- 6:46Speaker 2: the radio.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Not the same old callers.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Oh myDNA, my do I gotta listen to that guy
- 6:53Speaker 2: a gala again. It's like since one of day a
- 6:56Speaker 2: part of the show. How about allowing new people will
- 7:00Speaker 2: call in? Do you know that less than one percent
- 7:03Speaker 2: of people listen to talk radio in their whole lives?
- 7:07Speaker 2: Less than one percent of called in. And it's the
- 7:09Speaker 2: same people over and over again. And dizzy Isy, when
- 7:12Speaker 2: we open up the phones today, you better not be
- 7:14Speaker 2: taking the same old callers. Or let me just say,
- 7:19Speaker 2: you will feel vibrations from me that will rock you
- 7:23Speaker 2: from your your toes to your nose.
- 7:27Speaker 3: Good talk radio. A lot of callers different who disagree
- 7:33Speaker 3: with you. Not just a love fast.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Remember how I said, Parney, you know listening to the
- 7:39Speaker 2: echo chambion.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Oh I love you, I love you.
- 7:42Speaker 2: I remember I used to look at that purple monster
- 7:45Speaker 2: up there. I love you, you love me. We're a
- 7:47Speaker 2: happy family with a great big hug. And it kissed
- 7:50Speaker 2: from me to you. Won't you say you love me too?
- 7:53Speaker 2: If I had a forty four magnum, I would have
- 7:55Speaker 2: shot him right there. And that RCA I think it
- 7:59Speaker 2: was an rc A TV. Remember Elvis did that. Yeah,
- 8:02Speaker 2: that's right, Elvis did that in Memphis. And then Talk
- 8:05Speaker 2: told Red, hey go out and get me a new TV.
- 8:08Speaker 2: He didn't like something on TV.
- 8:09Speaker 3: Took out. I think it was twenty two or thirty eight. Bam,
- 8:13Speaker 3: that's what I felt like. It's like an echo chamber.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Where's the different thoughts we are, the different people challenging
- 8:22Speaker 2: what you just said. That's that's what must change. And
- 8:28Speaker 2: you know where talk radio, real talk radio was created
- 8:31Speaker 2: right here?
- 8:32Speaker 3: Wor Did you know that this he is he?
- 8:36Speaker 2: Most people don't know that. They have no idea how
- 8:38Speaker 2: talk radio got started. Well, it was very gray right here, WI.
- 8:42Speaker 2: This was the DJ at night. All of a sudden,
- 8:45Speaker 2: Woody Herman called in after he played a Woody Herman
- 8:47Speaker 2: song and the suits were listening and say, hey, that's
- 8:51Speaker 2: pretty good.
- 8:53Speaker 3: And then he started letting callers, normal, average everyday people call.
- 8:57Speaker 3: Oh that's even better.
- 9:01Speaker 2: That's how talk radio started. If you're not taking calls,
- 9:05Speaker 2: then it's a mini podcast. Guests oo far with these guests,
- 9:11Speaker 2: you hear them, you know, I sample talk radio at night.
- 9:14Speaker 2: You can get in on the podcast when I finish
- 9:16Speaker 2: a long workday.
- 9:18Speaker 3: My wife says to me, are you a massochist?
- 9:20Speaker 2: I mean you really You must loathe yourself to have
- 9:24Speaker 2: to listen to the same discussions with the same guests
- 9:29Speaker 2: on four or five different formats. You see him on
- 9:32Speaker 2: Fox News and see it, and then you hear them
- 9:35Speaker 2: on the radio.
- 9:35Speaker 3: It's the same. They never break stride.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Guess so far, any guests, we got callers and obviously
- 9:44Speaker 2: the the hostess gotta do preparation show prep. Yeah, two
- 9:48Speaker 2: hours of prep for one every one hour on the air.
- 9:52Speaker 3: That means I have.
- 9:53Speaker 2: To relate to you, the listeners, things that maybe you
- 9:56Speaker 2: didn't know. So even if you don't like my opinion,
- 9:58Speaker 2: you know, likewise.
- 9:59Speaker 3: Maybe you learn something.
- 10:02Speaker 2: We just did that announcement, the PSA test is gonna
- 10:05Speaker 2: save people's lives.
- 10:07Speaker 3: And you didn't have to hear it at PSA format.
- 10:09Speaker 2: You heard it from your truly critics who had stage
- 10:12Speaker 2: four prostate cancer.
- 10:14Speaker 3: So a lot of people who have said to me, well,
- 10:16Speaker 3: what are you gonna do? What are you gonna do? Now?
- 10:19Speaker 2: It's three months after the election, November fourth, little more
- 10:23Speaker 2: than three months, and I gotta tell you a lot
- 10:26Speaker 2: of people would tell me, forget, don't go back to
- 10:28Speaker 2: talk radio.
- 10:29Speaker 3: You've done it thirty five years.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Nobody did it better in New York City other than
- 10:32Speaker 2: the king of talk radio, Bob Grant. Come on, I
- 10:35Speaker 2: don't even come close. But it turns a longevity and
- 10:40Speaker 2: of course a great March simone, no doubt about it.
- 10:42Speaker 3: Man.
- 10:42Speaker 2: That guy's a smooth operator. Every time I hear Mark
- 10:45Speaker 2: on the air, I think of that Shadday song classic.
- 10:47Speaker 2: I first heard it in the eighties and London outside
- 10:50Speaker 2: of Array when I was patrolling with the Cardian Angels
- 10:53Speaker 2: say smooth operator by Shade Man.
- 10:55Speaker 3: He is the smoothest.
- 10:59Speaker 2: But I have determined, after consulting with the best thing
- 11:03Speaker 2: that ever happened in my life, and I have restated
- 11:06Speaker 2: that a number of times. On Valentine's Day, you may
- 11:09Speaker 2: have seen my post and Nancy's post. We did it
- 11:13Speaker 2: with Tiny who was a cat and Nancy rescued from
- 11:17Speaker 2: a hoarding situation who would not socialize.
- 11:21Speaker 3: We took pictures.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Boy Tiny has assimilated with so many other cats that
- 11:26Speaker 2: my wife and others out there have rescued over the
- 11:28Speaker 2: years and then either forced them out or adopted them out.
- 11:33Speaker 2: The best thing that ever happened in my life. Hey,
- 11:36Speaker 2: you know, people have wanted me to do videos podcasting,
- 11:38Speaker 2: a lot of gen z's and millennials now following me.
- 11:42Speaker 2: They invited me to Yale University right for debate seven
- 11:45Speaker 2: different groups. They went from conservatives to progressives to DSSA.
- 11:51Speaker 2: And I came out of there after two and a
- 11:53Speaker 2: half hours and they were saying, well, you're the uniter,
- 11:55Speaker 2: and now who's lining up? We got Harvard, we got
- 11:58Speaker 2: Princeton lining up, we got corn know, we got Queen's College,
- 12:01Speaker 2: we got Hopshire, we got others. And so the millennials
- 12:06Speaker 2: in gend esze is I say, yeah, well where can
- 12:08Speaker 2: we find you wick it? They don't listen to talk radio.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Come on, let's be honest, right, come on, dizzy is he?
- 12:12Speaker 2: They don't listen to talk if it's people fifty five plus,
- 12:17Speaker 2: And some people say, well, do the podcast for the
- 12:20Speaker 2: millennials in gen ze Is. They have an insatiable appetite
- 12:23Speaker 2: to find out more about what you do, Curtis and
- 12:27Speaker 2: all the things you've been through, which y'all a lot.
- 12:32Speaker 3: I said, yeah, yeah, I can't do that.
- 12:36Speaker 2: But the other day my wife said, Valentine, say, he
- 12:38Speaker 2: said you got a mission. You know, everywhere we go,
- 12:42Speaker 2: people who are your age, Curtis, because she's millennial, your age,
- 12:46Speaker 2: say hey, would you come back and save talk radio?
- 12:50Speaker 2: That's what they say, does he is he? Because I
- 12:53Speaker 2: gotta tell you, especially those who used to listen to WABC,
- 12:57Speaker 2: they'll tell me, hey, I missed listening to you on
- 13:00Speaker 2: seventy seven WABC. You will never hear my voice on
- 13:03Speaker 2: there again, because they're always backstabbing me, blaming me for
- 13:07Speaker 2: Mondami's win, bashing me. I listen less and less to
- 13:13Speaker 2: WABC and turn into other stations. But I listened less
- 13:16Speaker 2: and less to talk radio in general, and I understand it.
- 13:21Speaker 2: And speaking of WABC, they seem to have gone out
- 13:24Speaker 2: of their way to find anybody who loves to bash
- 13:28Speaker 2: or blame Curtis to bring on the radio. Andrew evilized
- 13:31Speaker 2: Cuomo Wright.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Hey, Andrew, I.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Said to them, he too su Proviano Spatci man, you
- 13:36Speaker 2: are boring radio, but he loves to bash me. Now
- 13:40Speaker 2: they're bringing on Frnando Martel, who I beat in the
- 13:44Speaker 2: Republican primary for mayor in twenty twenty one. Yeah, disey
- 13:47Speaker 2: is because he's promised for two hours he's gonna do
- 13:50Speaker 2: nothing but bash Curtis and blame Curtis for zorn Mondamis.
- 13:53Speaker 2: And no doubt soon they'll bring the crypto criminal himself,
- 14:00Speaker 2: the blockchain man best known for crime coin aka Bitcoin,
- 14:04Speaker 2: Eric Adams Swaggerman with no plan.
- 14:06Speaker 3: By the way, where did that million dollars go? Eric? First?
- 14:10Speaker 2: Out of the box? You know, the token token New
- 14:12Speaker 2: York City, That nonsense. A million dollars disappeared. But they'll
- 14:16Speaker 2: probably give me a job too, and it will be
- 14:18Speaker 2: one big echo chamber. So stay tuned, ladies and gentlemen.
- 14:25Speaker 2: It's time for me to get back into the mix
- 14:28Speaker 2: of talk radio in addition to all the other things
- 14:32Speaker 2: that I'm doing. Because it's twenty hours out of a
- 14:35Speaker 2: twenty four hour day, I don't stop. I'm in the
- 14:39Speaker 2: subways and I'm in the streets, and none of the
- 14:41Speaker 2: rest of them are. So Now, as a tribute to
- 14:46Speaker 2: real talk radio, you have a chance to be heard.
- 14:50Speaker 2: I don't want to hear the same old voices, the
- 14:52Speaker 2: same old names for some of you.
- 14:55Speaker 3: I've seen you out there. I can put a face
- 14:57Speaker 3: to the name.
- 14:57Speaker 2: Don't want to hear that new New Noon because I
- 15:00Speaker 2: know you're out there. One eight hundred three two one
- 15:04Speaker 2: zero seven ten acts one eight hundred three two one
- 15:08Speaker 2: zero seven ten.
- 15:10Speaker 3: And please don't thank me for taking your call. I'm
- 15:13Speaker 3: giving you numbers out hey, er, could he thank you
- 15:16Speaker 3: for taking my call? You think I even know who
- 15:18Speaker 3: you are? Oh?
- 15:20Speaker 2: Yeah, it is Joe. I know Joe. Come on your call.
- 15:24Speaker 2: You're in a queue. We take you by the queue.
- 15:27Speaker 2: There's no favoritism. It's not like other talk shows.
- 15:30Speaker 3: You know.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Oh I know this guy. Yeah, he gave me a
- 15:33Speaker 2: free meal. I better put him on. Oh yeah, there
- 15:35Speaker 2: Schnorer is in this business. They shnore everything anything you
- 15:38Speaker 2: put in front of them. They snore one eight hundred
- 15:41Speaker 2: three two one zero seven ten.
- 15:43Speaker 4: Up.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Next, did they call it Donald Trump Day yet? Is
- 15:47Speaker 2: he demanding that in the Oval office? And we'll talk
- 15:51Speaker 2: about President Stay should have stayed George Washington and then
- 15:56Speaker 2: Abraham Lincoln Day and eliminate the other.
- 16:00Speaker 3: Talk radio with street crag.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Literally Curtis Sleaywad joined sevent ten w R to guess,
- 16:08Speaker 1: ohse for Mark Zamo.
- 16:13Speaker 2: Oh generic music, and I would have come in with
- 16:17Speaker 2: Living Color, a cult of personality? Yeah, what have for
- 16:21Speaker 2: this segment about President's Day, which I'm sure at some
- 16:25Speaker 2: point today the President Donald Trump will announced from the
- 16:29Speaker 2: Oval Office that it should be renamed Donald Trump Day
- 16:31Speaker 2: and everybody in the Oval Office, yeah, yeah, of course,
- 16:35Speaker 2: of course. Oh god, you know how you have Trump
- 16:40Speaker 2: derangement syndrome. I think a lot of people are getting
- 16:43Speaker 2: Trump fatigue. Look, I've known Donald Trump for probably close
- 16:48Speaker 2: to forty years, a love hate relationship.
- 16:50Speaker 3: Everybody knows that.
- 16:52Speaker 2: And originally when he was citizen Trump, you know, he
- 16:55Speaker 2: was always an eye and me guy. You could say
- 16:57Speaker 2: that about myself a lot of other people Alslim Shady, Sharpton,
- 17:01Speaker 2: Chuck E Cheese, Shuman. During the eighties, right, we were
- 17:04Speaker 2: like Lenslice, Right?
- 17:06Speaker 3: Right? Does he is?
- 17:06Speaker 4: He?
- 17:06Speaker 2: We like Lenzeist? Turn on the TV, you'd see one
- 17:09Speaker 2: of the four of us. If that was a crime
- 17:11Speaker 2: getting publicity, all four of us would have been in
- 17:14Speaker 2: the same jail cell. Would have been Donald Trump, would
- 17:17Speaker 2: have been Alslim shady sharped in, it would have been
- 17:20Speaker 2: Chucky che Schumer, the Schmucker Putts, and of course it
- 17:23Speaker 2: would have been Curtis Lee. But when he was an
- 17:27Speaker 2: iron me guy, and he put his name on hotels
- 17:29Speaker 2: and casinos and buildings and airplanes and steaks and neckties
- 17:34Speaker 2: and bottled water. Okay, Narcissistic personality disorder. A lot of
- 17:39Speaker 2: people have that. You listen to the mornings over at WABC,
- 17:43Speaker 2: that's Sid Rosenberg. Narcissistic personality disorder. A lot of people
- 17:49Speaker 2: have that, and it was sort of entertaining at the time,
- 17:52Speaker 2: but now I don't know mine. He wants to be
- 17:57Speaker 2: on the one dollar coin. He's got his name, It's
- 18:00Speaker 2: on the JFK Center. He wants Penn Station named after him,
- 18:04Speaker 2: the Washington Commander's new stadium named after him. He wants
- 18:09Speaker 2: Washington Dulles International Airport named after him. And there's a
- 18:14Speaker 2: move to say he should be up there on Mount Rushmore.
- 18:18Speaker 3: That's right.
- 18:18Speaker 2: You know, the sixty foot monuments to our previous president,
- 18:23Speaker 2: starting with George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Teddy Roosevelt, and of
- 18:30Speaker 2: course Abraham Lincoln. Teddy Roosevelt. He had a umongous ego.
- 18:35Speaker 2: Teddy was all about himself, no doubt about it. And
- 18:38Speaker 2: other presidents have been that way. I mean, Calvin Coolidge
- 18:41Speaker 2: had a coin made for him his face. Calvin Coolidge
- 18:48Speaker 2: one of the worst presidents of all time, right, a
- 18:51Speaker 2: person of those consequence while he was still alive and
- 18:54Speaker 2: in office. And then Hoover, you were responsible for the depression.
- 18:58Speaker 2: You have the Hoover dam the damn named after him.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Then FDR said no, and then Truman reinstalled it. So
- 19:05Speaker 2: I get it, these cults of personality, I get it.
- 19:09Speaker 2: But wow, this is extreme, and so many of you
- 19:15Speaker 2: out there all right, listen.
- 19:18Speaker 3: Oh he's infallible. Guess what.
- 19:20Speaker 2: The Pope was never infallible. Donald Trump is not infallible.
- 19:26Speaker 2: He's uniquely qualified. He's divinely delivered. Oh God, enough of this.
- 19:33Speaker 2: But we've had a lot of bullshnizzle before the Age
- 19:38Speaker 2: of Camelot. I mean, with JFK and RFK and Teddy Kennedy. Boy,
- 19:43Speaker 2: they would have been on those Epstein lists. You know
- 19:46Speaker 2: that if they were alive with jeffy Epstein, you know,
- 19:50Speaker 2: you know, they'd have been on pedophile Island. Oh my god,
- 19:54Speaker 2: they would have had frequent flyer miles on the Lolita
- 19:57Speaker 2: Express from a teen a cairport out there off the
- 20:02Speaker 2: Virgin Islands, no doubt about it.
- 20:06Speaker 3: Yeah, we're gonna talk about Jeffrey Epstein, you know, out
- 20:10Speaker 3: of all finally, you know, we get to Epstein files.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Tribute to Donald Trump for releasing him, because the Democrats
- 20:16Speaker 2: never did. But you know what we find out the
- 20:21Speaker 2: Jeffrey Epstein's obsession not only being a high end pimp
- 20:29Speaker 2: for those who had the same predilections as him. Remember,
- 20:32Speaker 2: if you were looking for adult women exotic, you went
- 20:35Speaker 2: to Jeffrey Epstein. If you were looking for kids, you
- 20:38Speaker 2: went to Jeffrey Epstein. But apparently his predilection that topped
- 20:45Speaker 2: all of the of the sicola predilections that he and
- 20:49Speaker 2: his followers had was he only ate beef jerkey and
- 20:56Speaker 2: it had to be the inner Mongolian style. So out
- 21:01Speaker 2: of the millions and millions of patpers worth of files
- 21:05Speaker 2: that have been dropped, finally by Pam Bondi, who said, oh,
- 21:08Speaker 2: they're all on my desk, but she lied. Susie Wiles,
- 21:12Speaker 2: the chief of staff, said, hey, she lied about that.
- 21:15Speaker 2: We finally got most of it and we find out
- 21:19Speaker 2: that he would fly a chef in from Long Island
- 21:22Speaker 2: because all you would eat was beef jerky. So with
- 21:26Speaker 2: all these dinners that he hosted or he attended, am
- 21:30Speaker 2: I to believe that on his plate was beef jerky?
- 21:33Speaker 2: Really And people didn't look at that and say, man,
- 21:36Speaker 2: this guy is freaky, deeky. He's a sicola.
- 21:40Speaker 3: Just from that.
- 21:42Speaker 2: So much more. And I got to say, for all
- 21:47Speaker 2: of these people, they reminded me of Sogeant Schultz. You
- 21:51Speaker 2: remember Hogan's heroes Stalog thirteen. I see nothing, I hear nothing,
- 21:57Speaker 2: I know nothing, this even after two thousand and eight
- 22:01Speaker 2: for pedophilia. And I gotta give credit to Donald Trump
- 22:07Speaker 2: on this. Donald Trump, apparently, in a phone call to
- 22:11Speaker 2: the Palm Beach police chief at the time, said everyone
- 22:16Speaker 2: knows about Jeffrey Epstein's aberink behavior. I threw him out
- 22:20Speaker 2: of the club marl Largo. People in New York knew
- 22:23Speaker 2: he was disgusting. Yeah they did, and yet they still
- 22:29Speaker 2: did business with him, especially Steve Tish, co owner of
- 22:34Speaker 2: the Giants, who loved those babies got back. Oh my god,
- 22:41Speaker 2: you see you should have the sir mix a lot song.
- 22:45Speaker 2: Baby got back. I like big butts and I cannot lie.
- 22:49Speaker 2: And that's why Steve Tish would go to Jeffrey Epstein hook.
- 22:52Speaker 3: Me up with Baby got back.
- 22:54Speaker 2: But I didn't do nothing wrong trying to light up
- 22:58Speaker 2: those phones to be heard here on your newfound station.
- 23:03Speaker 2: WOOR one eight hundred three two one zero. That's one
- 23:07Speaker 2: eight hundred three to two one. Seven ten.
- 23:09Speaker 3: The Beret is back.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Curtis leewa guest host the Mark Simone Show on seven
- 23:15Speaker 1: ten WOO.
- 23:20Speaker 3: Back to save talk radio.
- 23:22Speaker 2: That's the mission I've been given so many people telling me, Oh,
- 23:26Speaker 2: you gotta come back, you gotta come back.
- 23:27Speaker 3: On the air. This stuff is killing me out there.
- 23:31Speaker 3: You know, like a guy like Greg Kelly over at WABC,
- 23:34Speaker 3: what's he gonna do?
- 23:34Speaker 2: Mark Simones away today, will be back tomorrow. And that's
- 23:38Speaker 2: Greg Kelly show prep. Without Mark Simone, He's got nothing
- 23:42Speaker 2: to talk about. He basically repeats everything that Mark said
- 23:45Speaker 2: on his show. Oh enough enough, we gotta go to
- 23:50Speaker 2: the phones. I promised you that. Let's go to Jane,
- 23:53Speaker 2: who's calling from Connecticut. Your turn to be heard? He
- 23:56Speaker 2: on the voice in New York WR seventh and Jane, Hi.
- 24:01Speaker 4: Good morning, Curtis.
- 24:03Speaker 2: How are you Okay, yeah, I hear you. Fine, I'm
- 24:06Speaker 2: fired up back here where I need to be on
- 24:09Speaker 2: talk radio.
- 24:10Speaker 3: I got the orders from Hey Arters my wife.
- 24:13Speaker 4: That is great. Thank you so much, Curtis. Curtis, I
- 24:17Speaker 4: just wanted to tell you I'm a Connecticut resident. As
- 24:21Speaker 4: you had stated, I would have voted for you had
- 24:24Speaker 4: I been in New York. I admire you. I've admired
- 24:27Speaker 4: you for a long time. I love what you were doing,
- 24:31Speaker 4: what you have continued to do, you and your lovely life, Nancy.
- 24:36Speaker 4: You know your support for everything, the things that New
- 24:39Speaker 4: York City needs. And because I do work in New York,
- 24:43Speaker 4: I'm very close to the issues that affect to New York.
- 24:48Speaker 4: So I've just got to tell you I admire you.
- 24:51Speaker 4: So I just wanted to call and tell you that today.
- 24:54Speaker 2: Well, thank you, Thank you very much, Jane. Although enough
- 24:57Speaker 2: of this, I would have voted for you, Dizzy, Izzy.
- 25:01Speaker 2: If everybody who's come up to me in the subways
- 25:03Speaker 2: and streets because I'm there every day.
- 25:06Speaker 3: Uh oh, I've voted for you.
- 25:08Speaker 2: If they had voted for me, I would have been
- 25:09Speaker 2: the mayor of the City of New York and we
- 25:11Speaker 2: would have been in a much better shape, right, but
- 25:13Speaker 2: please don't glaze me. Wait a second, that's that's for
- 25:19Speaker 2: the millennials and Gen zee Is people who are my generation, right,
- 25:23Speaker 2: you baby boomers out there, you probably think I'm talking
- 25:25Speaker 2: about glazed doughnuts. No, no, no, that's the term that
- 25:29Speaker 2: has made me uber popular with the millennials in gen
- 25:33Speaker 2: z Is. I say, don't be glazing me, because a
- 25:36Speaker 2: lot of people do, and on this format here, Worr,
- 25:39Speaker 2: don't be glazing me.
- 25:40Speaker 3: Huh.
- 25:42Speaker 2: Don't be pulling my chain and chewing my shorts. That's
- 25:45Speaker 2: the way we would have said it in the old neighborhood.
- 25:47Speaker 2: By the way, curling, you know, Olympic sport, Winter Olympic
- 25:51Speaker 2: sport couldn't be any more boring, like some of talk
- 25:55Speaker 2: radio I've listened to lately, And so my wife was
- 25:58Speaker 2: asking me about I say, it's like Bacchi. You know,
- 26:01Speaker 2: my grandfather if he Dela Bianchino played Bacci with the
- 26:03Speaker 2: other gumbas in Keanarsi, you know, they'd be smoking a
- 26:06Speaker 2: crooked Italian cigars at Deanobla. They'd be speaking their dialect,
- 26:10Speaker 2: cursing one another. It was boring with Bacci. It's boring
- 26:15Speaker 2: with curling. Oh, we got to under this boring repetition
- 26:20Speaker 2: of talk radio. It's like, God, be curious, challenge your Dougherty,
- 26:28Speaker 2: ask questions. Don't be sickle fans, Tody's and lackeys and
- 26:33Speaker 2: allow for other points of you to be hurt. That's
- 26:37Speaker 2: the American way. Let's go to Chris, who's calling from
- 26:40Speaker 2: Beth Page. Your turn to be heard here? Seven to
- 26:43Speaker 2: ten w or R Chris.
- 26:46Speaker 5: Hey, Curtis, I got even money back with a friend
- 26:48Speaker 5: that somehow Steve from Manhattan sneaks onto the air in
- 26:51Speaker 5: some way today anyhow. But I know you're good at
- 26:54Speaker 5: rooting him out anyhow, Curtis. The reason I called was
- 26:58Speaker 5: I vote it for Trump. Trump, and I disagree with
- 27:02Speaker 5: you most of us, I'd say, like ninety of us.
- 27:05Speaker 5: Aren't these lackeys that everything he says, we think he's
- 27:08Speaker 5: stupid a lot of stuff. We voted for his policies.
- 27:11Speaker 5: He's got great economic policies. He closed the border. Gas
- 27:15Speaker 5: is cheaper. You know, you can go on and on
- 27:17Speaker 5: with his great policies. He's a great president, I think,
- 27:22Speaker 5: but he's not a good human being. I'm sorry. I
- 27:24Speaker 5: would never hang out with the guy. He sounds like
- 27:26Speaker 5: a morn half the time. But I like his policies
- 27:28Speaker 5: and that's what we voth right.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Well, no, no, that's that's extraordinarily fair Chris like wanting to
- 27:35Speaker 2: take over Canada, wanting to take over Greenland. Like, really,
- 27:40Speaker 2: do you think if he had said that, let's say,
- 27:42Speaker 2: in the campaign against first Biden and then Harris the
- 27:45Speaker 2: bifer kated campaign. Do you think if he had said, oh,
- 27:49Speaker 2: when I become president, we're going to take over Canada,
- 27:51Speaker 2: We're going to take over Greenland, do you think he
- 27:53Speaker 2: would have won that an election?
- 27:55Speaker 5: Not at all? Okill no, But that's but that's him,
- 27:58Speaker 5: you know, him art of the deal hung out with
- 28:00Speaker 5: me know his deal. He does what he can to
- 28:03Speaker 5: get what he wants and then he goes bat so
- 28:05Speaker 5: and that's you know, I do that, I know.
- 28:07Speaker 2: But you see the problem is now, if you believe
- 28:11Speaker 2: that we have to have balance in government and Republicans
- 28:16Speaker 2: and I am a Republican, we need to win the
- 28:18Speaker 2: midterm elections, those kinds of attitudes are gonna be hurtful
- 28:25Speaker 2: to the ability to maintain the majority. And you know,
- 28:29Speaker 2: if the Democrats Hakeem Jeffries becomes a speaker, he loves
- 28:33Speaker 2: for that you imagine the schmuck to putch CHUCKI Chi
- 28:37Speaker 2: Schumer returning his majority leader of the Senate. Oh my god,
- 28:41Speaker 2: that guy is an advertisement for term limits. And it's
- 28:44Speaker 2: not just him. They're Republicans senators there. What are they
- 28:48Speaker 2: going to be one hundred years old until death? Do
- 28:51Speaker 2: us part term limits for everyone? Let's go if we
- 28:58Speaker 2: can to at this point, I believe it is Sophie
- 29:02Speaker 2: who was calling from Connecticut, your turn to be heard
- 29:06Speaker 2: here on seven ten wo.
- 29:08Speaker 6: Sophie, good morning, Courtis we spoke years and years ago.
- 29:16Speaker 6: I am also Polish that you have Polish in Connecticut,
- 29:20Speaker 6: as you know. The reason I'm calling I listening to
- 29:26Speaker 6: what was happening the election and how wrong it was.
- 29:31Speaker 6: And I'm very concerned about the power of WABC owner
- 29:39Speaker 6: into this whole election and political issues. Even this morning.
- 29:47Speaker 2: I know, Sophie, they bashed me all the time. It's
- 29:50Speaker 2: over three months. Dominic Carter wouldn't have a show unless
- 29:54Speaker 2: he spent half of it bashing me and blaming me
- 29:56Speaker 2: for Johann Mandami. And they had no impact. First they
- 30:01Speaker 2: supported Eric Adams right the Swagerman with no plan to cook.
- 30:06Speaker 2: Then they supported Andrew evilized Coomo Facha Brutta and he
- 30:11Speaker 2: lost too.
- 30:12Speaker 3: So don't think they're all that powerful.
- 30:15Speaker 2: I gotta tell you just based on the people who
- 30:18Speaker 2: come up to me who identify themselves as WABC listeners,
- 30:22Speaker 2: they say, I missed you on WABC. Okay, I get that,
- 30:27Speaker 2: And since the mayor's race has ended, I listen less
- 30:30Speaker 2: and less to WABC and tune into other stations. And
- 30:33Speaker 2: that's true. You look at the ratings they have plummeted
- 30:36Speaker 2: at WABC. Time spent listening is down noticeably. They run
- 30:43Speaker 2: around pat each other on the back so hard they'll
- 30:45Speaker 2: have to go for a chiropractic adjustment. But it's not
- 30:48Speaker 2: good talk radio, it really is. That's why my wife
- 30:54Speaker 2: has finally said to me, your job is to get
- 30:57Speaker 2: back into action in that thing that you've done for
- 31:01Speaker 2: thirty five years, talk radio with everything else that I'll
- 31:03Speaker 2: be doing, because I have a mission to save talk
- 31:07Speaker 2: radio and make it compelling and interesting and non predictable.
- 31:13Speaker 2: Why should I listen to a show today? What I
- 31:17Speaker 2: know they're gonna say the same thing today that they
- 31:20Speaker 2: said last week that they're gonna say next week, which.
- 31:23Speaker 4: Is ball.
- 31:27Speaker 3: The Balls of.
- 31:28Speaker 1: New York on the voice of New York's Curtis Sleewald,
- 31:33Speaker 1: guest host for Marximon on sevent ten DOUBLEO.
- 31:39Speaker 7: You know, for thirty five years, I was the voice
- 31:42Speaker 7: of New York over at WABC. It was always broadcasting Curtis,
- 31:46Speaker 7: and then it's turned into nothing more but always bashing Curtis,
- 31:50Speaker 7: always blaming Curtis for zarn Mondamie winning the mayoral election.
- 31:55Speaker 7: We'll deal with Zaron up next. But I was also
- 31:58Speaker 7: like the Quay's Eye program. I'm director there for many years.
- 32:01Speaker 2: Because I would listen, I would get constructive criticism. I had,
- 32:05Speaker 2: you know, Dizzy is He. The Curtics Slee were boot
- 32:07Speaker 2: camp for talk radio show hosts had to because when
- 32:11Speaker 2: you're starting TV, because there's some people in talk creadio.
- 32:15Speaker 2: They have no business being in talk creator they're starting
- 32:17Speaker 2: on TV. Then they go to radio, it just doesn't work.
- 32:21Speaker 2: You're used to highly produced segments, teleprompters, no improv it's dull.
- 32:26Speaker 2: Greg Kelly is an example of that. He's lost without
- 32:29Speaker 2: a teleprompter. Dominic carter Man, he was like special ed
- 32:33Speaker 2: when it came to this, Well, I'm a journalist, I'm
- 32:35Speaker 2: a journalists and I say you ain't no journalists no more.
- 32:38Speaker 2: You're a talk radio show host. You got to have
- 32:39Speaker 2: an opinion. You remember that Dizzy is he the guy
- 32:42Speaker 2: couldn't have an opinion. He wouldn't be on WABC.
- 32:44Speaker 3: If not for me.
- 32:46Speaker 2: But as part of that critics Slie boot camp for
- 32:49Speaker 2: talk radio show hosts at Dominic Carter, he was my
- 32:53Speaker 2: primary focus. And I had to get Frank moronalds Now
- 32:56Speaker 2: the counselor and from South Beach, Staten Island, doing a
- 32:58Speaker 2: great job by my dad. Had to get him back
- 33:01Speaker 2: on the beam. He needed a little help there, a
- 33:05Speaker 2: little remedial help. And then we had Richie Valdez, the
- 33:09Speaker 2: liberty loving Latino, great talk show hosts.
- 33:13Speaker 3: I was mentoring him, and then they got rid.
- 33:15Speaker 2: Of him there at WABC, And I said to myself,
- 33:17Speaker 2: are you kidding? How many Latino voices and Latino voices
- 33:22Speaker 2: are there in what we call Anglo talk radio?
- 33:26Speaker 3: Right? Almost? Note what guy's gone on.
- 33:30Speaker 2: I have syndicated talk radio programs across the nation, now
- 33:34Speaker 2: across the world.
- 33:36Speaker 3: Well, I did my job as a.
- 33:39Speaker 2: Program director, but now I'm a talk show host who
- 33:43Speaker 2: is
- 33:44Speaker 3: So help bent on saving this thing of ours, talk
- 33:48Speaker 3: radio
