- 0:08Speaker 1: Terrible advice. He welcome to the Naughty but Night Shower.
- 0:16Speaker 1: I'm your host, Rob Shooter, and it is Friday, which
- 0:20Speaker 1: means a dear friend, Corey Andrew joins us, Hey, Corey
- 0:25Speaker 1: are you there? I am here with bells on Corey, Corey, Corey.
- 0:30Speaker 1: I love your bells every Friday. We've got so much
- 0:32Speaker 1: to get to today, let's jump right into the show.
- 0:36Speaker 1: What time is it, my friends? It is time. So
- 0:40Speaker 1: Ryan Seacrest is leaving Live and is going to be
- 0:43Speaker 1: replaced by Kelly Ripper's husband, Mark Consuelas. So this rumor
- 0:47Speaker 1: was bubbling up for a while, but yesterday he announced it.
- 0:51Speaker 1: He confirmed it. He said, it's it's a bitter sweet
- 0:54Speaker 1: moment for him. He signed on to be on the
- 0:56Speaker 1: show for three years. He ended up doing six. He's
- 1:00Speaker 1: had lovely, lovely things to say about Kelly. Ultimately, he
- 1:04Speaker 1: said he wants to return to the West Coast. Anybody
- 1:06Speaker 1: that knows Ryan knows he's a West Coast guy. He
- 1:10Speaker 1: never really moved here, so for six years he's been
- 1:13Speaker 1: flying back pretty much every weekend. And get this, his
- 1:16Speaker 1: dog still lives in l a. So when you don't
- 1:18Speaker 1: move your dog to New York. You don't live here,
- 1:21Speaker 1: I mean, you really don't, so he's sort of stopped by,
- 1:23Speaker 1: almost like a hotel. He did get an apartment here,
- 1:25Speaker 1: a really nice one, but he didn't really use it
- 1:28Speaker 1: as an apartment very much, and every chance he got
- 1:31Speaker 1: to go home to l A, he did. So he
- 1:33Speaker 1: doesn't want to do this anymore. He's going to go back.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Mark is going to replace him, and I'm tom Kelly
- 1:39Speaker 1: is actually thrilled by this. She loves the idea of
- 1:41Speaker 1: having her husband next to her. And let's be honest, now,
- 1:44Speaker 1: all that money is going to go into her family,
- 1:46Speaker 1: So that's a lot of money. It's a lot of money.
- 1:51Speaker 1: That show is the number one rated daytime talk show.
- 1:55Speaker 1: It beats Dr Phil, it beats the View. It is
- 1:57Speaker 1: a huge show. So there was no way ABC we're
- 2:00Speaker 1: going to let the show disappear. I'm told my sources
- 2:03Speaker 1: tell me that for a while there were some discussions
- 2:07Speaker 1: about moving the show to l A. The problem is
- 2:10Speaker 1: with that is that Kelly doesn't want to go to
- 2:12Speaker 1: l A. Kelly's a New Yorker and Ryan's l A guy,
- 2:16Speaker 1: so they sort of had to find a compromise. Well,
- 2:19Speaker 1: there really is no compromise, going to move the show
- 2:21Speaker 1: to the middle. But what are they going to do?
- 2:23Speaker 1: And Kelly really won this. It's her show. She's been
- 2:26Speaker 1: on there much longer than Ryan. I think they're great
- 2:29Speaker 1: as a pair. But if he asked me whose show
- 2:31Speaker 1: it really was, I'd say it was Kelly Ripper's show
- 2:35Speaker 1: names before him. She's been on their longer, so he's
- 2:38Speaker 1: stepping away. What has surprised people friends of Ryan's is
- 2:43Speaker 1: the fact that he never really leaves a job. Once
- 2:45Speaker 1: Ryan gets his hands into a job, look at his
- 2:49Speaker 1: days forever, so they're quite shocked. Today friends were like surprised.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Some friends were like, wow, I never thought he'd actually
- 2:56Speaker 1: do this. The money's triffic. It's an hour of number
- 3:00Speaker 1: one TV across the country. Ryan loves doing TV. My
- 3:04Speaker 1: Heart who were part of They built a studio in
- 3:07Speaker 1: the basement of ABC, so after Live he can get
- 3:10Speaker 1: straight to do his radio show. So it was all
- 3:12Speaker 1: set up to have this amazing life. However, he's just
- 3:16Speaker 1: not happy here. He doesn't like the winters. He doesn't
- 3:19Speaker 1: really love New York. I think he likes driving too.
- 3:21Speaker 1: In l A. If you're an l A guy or girls,
- 3:25Speaker 1: you have a car. Yeah, you get a car. I'm
- 3:28Speaker 1: a New York boy, I am, and I sometimes think
- 3:30Speaker 1: it's such a boring conversation, like l A versus New York.
- 3:33Speaker 1: I don't think that's the way to frame is. But
- 3:35Speaker 1: I do think you do have a preference. Like I'm
- 3:37Speaker 1: an East Coast guy. I like Boston, I like Chicago.
- 3:41Speaker 1: I do like San Francisco, but that's more like an
- 3:43Speaker 1: East Coast city on the West Coast. I'm not really
- 3:46Speaker 1: I'm not really an l A guard. I don't know
- 3:48Speaker 1: how to drive a motor car. So maybe that's a
- 3:50Speaker 1: reason I don't drive. I tell you like New York
- 3:53Speaker 1: City from me, and are the years I've lived here,
- 3:55Speaker 1: I've had to take the public transportation. Now and I
- 3:58Speaker 1: get behind the wheel of a car, I'm terrified. It's
- 4:01Speaker 1: like a muscle that you don't use. I get behind
- 4:04Speaker 1: a car, I'm like white knuckles. At the entire time,
- 4:08Speaker 1: we should point out that Ryan has a driver here
- 4:10Speaker 1: in New York's great life. What a lovely life to
- 4:14Speaker 1: be able to have all that money and all that
- 4:16Speaker 1: power and to decide. I sort of admire him because
- 4:19Speaker 1: a lot of people would just plod along doing a job.
- 4:22Speaker 1: They didn't really want to do anymore. I think he
- 4:24Speaker 1: loves the job, but I just don't think he wants
- 4:26Speaker 1: to be in New York anymore. There's going to be rumors,
- 4:29Speaker 1: get ready for them not to ease, that him and
- 4:31Speaker 1: Kelly are at war. Yeah, yeah, she's difficult. Not the case.
- 4:35Speaker 1: I hear. They like each other, they're not best friends.
- 4:37Speaker 1: They never hung out outside work. But I'm told by
- 4:40Speaker 1: sources on the show that there was never fighting. There's
- 4:44Speaker 1: never attitude. It's a nice life. They get there at
- 4:46Speaker 1: seven in the morning, they're done, you know, in a
- 4:49Speaker 1: few hours. They do their hair and makeup, they go
- 4:52Speaker 1: over the scripts. They like each other. They are friends,
- 4:55Speaker 1: but they're not best is. They don't hang out after work.
- 4:58Speaker 1: I wonder too, if that little devil Andy Corian has
- 5:01Speaker 1: anything to do with this. Ryan's got some beef with
- 5:03Speaker 1: Andy after their New Year's of Eve shows. Remember Andy
- 5:07Speaker 1: had some horrible comments about Ryan and Kelly didn't really
- 5:11Speaker 1: defend him. That's going to be another storyline, but I'm
- 5:14Speaker 1: told no, this is not. If there's an Andy Cohen
- 5:17Speaker 1: story here, it's the Andy want with the job and
- 5:19Speaker 1: he was killed to sit next to Delly and she
- 5:21Speaker 1: hired her husband. I'm told that Kelly was literally given
- 5:26Speaker 1: free range. They said, to her, hire whoever you want.
- 5:29Speaker 1: They don't want to upset Kelly Ripper. I was surprised
- 5:32Speaker 1: they didn't do that rotating past again and test people out,
- 5:35Speaker 1: but they said, no, Kelly's tried it. She lost Michael Strayham.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Now she's lost Ryan. They said, you know, Kelly, you
- 5:42Speaker 1: pick who you want your the queen. We're not going
- 5:44Speaker 1: to upset you. So she picked her husband, although just
- 5:49Speaker 1: to start, or maybe not start. But I am hearing
- 5:52Speaker 1: a little bit of gossip that maybe Ryan might replace
- 5:57Speaker 1: t J. Holmes m A three. Yeah, Oh well, I
- 6:01Speaker 1: don't know. That's a that's a tough look to be said.
- 6:04Speaker 1: There are a lot of young black mailing who are
- 6:07Speaker 1: being lined up for their role and they think the
- 6:10Speaker 1: talented they are skilled. I don't think that's a good
- 6:13Speaker 1: look if anyone. It's starting to get the noise like
- 6:18Speaker 1: this is how gossip starts. It's a little bit of
- 6:20Speaker 1: a rumor, then it gets more more loud. And he's
- 6:23Speaker 1: getting a little bit loud today. And I've told g
- 6:25Speaker 1: M A three is a show. They could move to
- 6:27Speaker 1: l A. They could move that entire show to l
- 6:29Speaker 1: a for Ryan. So maybe I love all the gossip
- 6:33Speaker 1: on our show. Okay, this brings us to our pole
- 6:35Speaker 1: question of the day and Seecrest is leaving life has
- 6:39Speaker 1: been replaced by Kelly Ripper's husband Mark on Sweelers. Who
- 6:42Speaker 1: is I've got to say, one of the nicest guys
- 6:44Speaker 1: I've ever met. I've interviewed many times. I've had a
- 6:47Speaker 1: drink with him. He's a good good man. Is Mark
- 6:50Speaker 1: the right choice? Some people say, don't work with your spa?
- 6:53Speaker 1: Is Mark the right choice to replace Ryan? Govert on
- 6:56Speaker 1: our Twitter page and Naughty Nights rob at Facebook page,
- 6:59Speaker 1: Norty Gossip and be see back on Monday to hear
- 7:02Speaker 1: the results. Hey, Corey Love, what are you working on? Yes,
- 7:06Speaker 1: we'll changing gears a little bit here another car reference um.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Jackie Coachneider says ozempic runs rampant in the housewives world.
- 7:14Speaker 1: So yeah, Jackie is horrified by the latest celebrity weight
- 7:17Speaker 1: loss fad drug, Ozempic, especially because it seems to be
- 7:21Speaker 1: a hit among hers, among her friends. I should say
- 7:25Speaker 1: in the real housewives world. Now you should know that
- 7:27Speaker 1: I can talk about ozempic all day. It gets me
- 7:30Speaker 1: so fired up. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star
- 7:32Speaker 1: told Page six Goachneider, who has been vocal on Bravo
- 7:36Speaker 1: on the reality show UM about her eating disorder battle.
- 7:40Speaker 1: It continues, you know, she says, there's going to be
- 7:42Speaker 1: a lot of people with eating disorders. You start dropping
- 7:44Speaker 1: massive amounts of weight. That's addictating, and that's how I
- 7:47Speaker 1: spiraled into anorexia. Now today, the former attorney says, she's
- 7:51Speaker 1: in a great place. This is the first time in
- 7:53Speaker 1: my life that I've really learned to love myself and
- 7:56Speaker 1: really accept myself. She tells us I had to learn
- 7:59Speaker 1: that weight has nothing to do with happiness. Um. You know,
- 8:04Speaker 1: that's her personal journey. I think that health and wellness
- 8:07Speaker 1: and and a healthy weight body weight can be a
- 8:13Speaker 1: factor in how well you do in life emotionally and physically.
- 8:16Speaker 1: So that's, you know, not to be debated. What is
- 8:19Speaker 1: to be debated, though, is using ozempic as a weight
- 8:21Speaker 1: lost stroke, because that is not its intention and hast
- 8:25Speaker 1: side effects. So I don't know if that trend is
- 8:28Speaker 1: the best trend to follow terrible trend, but it's a
- 8:31Speaker 1: terrible trend of one. I know someone who's doing it
- 8:34Speaker 1: and has lost about he looks great, and that's the
- 8:38Speaker 1: terrible thing. Every time I see him, I want to
- 8:40Speaker 1: say how Grady looks, and that only reinforces the fact
- 8:43Speaker 1: that he should keep doing what he's doing. I don't
- 8:45Speaker 1: want him to, but yeah, he's using it and he
- 8:47Speaker 1: has lost the weight, and it's very expensive. So this
- 8:51Speaker 1: is another problem with this medication is it's only available
- 8:55Speaker 1: to a certain group of people, and so I don't
- 8:59Speaker 1: know about this one. It makes me so nervous about it.
- 9:03Speaker 1: But I think it's a bigger conversation of women on TV,
- 9:06Speaker 1: and they are encouraged to look fabulous, and often we
- 9:09Speaker 1: think fabulous is skinny. Jackie has been really vocal about this.
- 9:13Speaker 1: She had the most awful, awful eating disorder. She said
- 9:17Speaker 1: it's something that she still struggles with, and she's triggered
- 9:19Speaker 1: by Bethany Frankel and the Skinny Girl brand. She said,
- 9:22Speaker 1: it's just so wrong to have a brand out there
- 9:25Speaker 1: with skinny in the title. She has been really really
- 9:28Speaker 1: critical of her. I wonder which housewives are doing this.
- 9:32Speaker 1: We've seen a few, let's not speculate on their names,
- 9:35Speaker 1: but we have seen some lose a lot of weight.
- 9:37Speaker 1: They don't look like they did in season one. Let's
- 9:40Speaker 1: just put it like that. Hey, moving along, Selena Gomez.
- 9:44Speaker 1: He's saying that Disney forbid her, absolutely forbid her from
- 9:49Speaker 1: saying this common phrases. Gomez claims that Disney explicitly told
- 9:53Speaker 1: her not to say the phrase quote what the hell?
- 9:57Speaker 1: I love that phrase. She said that she wasn't a
- 10:01Speaker 1: wild child by any means, but when she was on Disney,
- 10:05Speaker 1: she had to be sure to never say what the
- 10:07Speaker 1: hell in front of anyone. She told us the Vanity Fair.
- 10:11Speaker 1: She explained to that she put extra pressure on herself
- 10:14Speaker 1: to be the best role model she could be. Now,
- 10:17Speaker 1: she argues that being the best role model is revealing
- 10:21Speaker 1: everything about yourself, including the ugly and the complicated parts
- 10:24Speaker 1: of yourself. Isn't that interesting? We often think assume that
- 10:28Speaker 1: role models have to be perfect and that's why they
- 10:30Speaker 1: are a role model. She's actually turned that on its
- 10:33Speaker 1: head and said the best role models are the ones
- 10:36Speaker 1: that are not perfect, because that is something we can
- 10:39Speaker 1: all relate to. I really think that's very very clever.
- 10:43Speaker 1: She's a very very smart person. I really like her.
- 10:45Speaker 1: What do you think, Well, you know, I think it's
- 10:47Speaker 1: a great idea. But when you have a children's brand,
- 10:50Speaker 1: a child's brand like Disney, um, you know what you're
- 10:53Speaker 1: signing up for. You can't run around saying what the
- 10:55Speaker 1: hell when you're, you know, making content for twelve year
- 10:58Speaker 1: old That works though as an adult. She's right. Adult
- 11:01Speaker 1: role models have words and all scars and all We
- 11:05Speaker 1: have to accept them, and I think that makes them
- 11:06Speaker 1: more endeared to us. But children, they have to control
- 11:10Speaker 1: that brand. You can't have kids running around swearing. I
- 11:12Speaker 1: guess it's right there. I stopped saying oh my god
- 11:17Speaker 1: because it was offending people. I said, my goodness, yea.
- 11:20Speaker 1: And the note we got from when we when we
- 11:22Speaker 1: started early on doing this show it's been three years now,
- 11:25Speaker 1: is to not say I don't know, because the research
- 11:30Speaker 1: came back that people that listen to us, people that
- 11:32Speaker 1: are listening to the podcast, I don't want to listen
- 11:35Speaker 1: to somebody who doesn't know, So I don't say that expression.
- 11:40Speaker 1: I don't say that it is interesting is that in
- 11:43Speaker 1: certain words. I try not to use the word but too.
- 11:46Speaker 1: So if you tell me something and I'm like blah
- 11:48Speaker 1: blah blah blah blah, but that means everything you've just said,
- 11:51Speaker 1: it is rubbish, So I say, however, yes, however is
- 11:55Speaker 1: also to say and okay, and and oh that's a
- 12:01Speaker 1: good word to that. Just fascinating. Yeah, that's right, it
- 12:05Speaker 1: is right. Hey, what's coming on with that? Tom Brady?
- 12:09Speaker 1: You know he's getting dragged on social media, and perhaps
- 12:12Speaker 1: justly so so. Tom Brady says that Janet jackson Super
- 12:15Speaker 1: Bowl wardrobe malfunction was probably a good thing for the NFL.
- 12:19Speaker 1: Um not a good look. So Brady forty five shared
- 12:22Speaker 1: his thoughts on the two thousand four Super Bowl halftime
- 12:25Speaker 1: show that shocked the world when Janet Jackson suffered a
- 12:27Speaker 1: quote maud function of her wardrobe at the hands of
- 12:32Speaker 1: Justin Timberlake. We all remember that it was called Nipplegate
- 12:35Speaker 1: eventually that the former NFL star was competing in the
- 12:38Speaker 1: Big Game that year, and Brady said it took a
- 12:40Speaker 1: while for us to figure out exactly what had gone on.
- 12:44Speaker 1: The seven times Super Bowl Champ recalled that he didn't
- 12:47Speaker 1: even much notice the wardrobe ow function when it happened,
- 12:50Speaker 1: because he said, I'd much rather not see it when
- 12:52Speaker 1: I'm playing anyway, he added, but I think in the
- 12:54Speaker 1: end it was probably a good thing for the NFL
- 12:57Speaker 1: because everyone got to talk about it, and it was
- 13:00Speaker 1: more publicity and more publicity for halftime shows. Is any
- 13:03Speaker 1: publicity bad publicity? That's what they say, So who knows. Now.
- 13:07Speaker 1: The problem with that is justin timber Lake, when he
- 13:09Speaker 1: was announced as a halftime show performer, the public reacted very,
- 13:13Speaker 1: very adversely because they felt like he had been the
- 13:15Speaker 1: one who had been a part of that whole scandal,
- 13:18Speaker 1: but he was rewarded with a halftime show, while Janet
- 13:21Speaker 1: Jackson's career got completely derailed, and during an Oprah interview
- 13:26Speaker 1: in two thousand and six, she said that she felt
- 13:28Speaker 1: like all the emphasis was put on me following the
- 13:31Speaker 1: controversy as opposed to us. Now did also give an
- 13:35Speaker 1: apology later he said much later, he says, I understand
- 13:39Speaker 1: that I felt short in these moments and in many others,
- 13:42Speaker 1: and benefited from a system that condones misogyny and racism,
- 13:46Speaker 1: and as a privileged as a man in a privileged position,
- 13:50Speaker 1: a white man especially, I have to be vocal about this. Now.
- 13:53Speaker 1: He did that right before his halftime show because he
- 13:55Speaker 1: was trying to save face, I believe. But it's a
- 13:58Speaker 1: very controversial thing. Robberat because you know that Janet's career
- 14:02Speaker 1: for about almost ten years years she got completely blacklist.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Absolutely yea, our team Janet here an apology, even though
- 14:10Speaker 1: it came latest an apology. So I'm glad that Justin
- 14:12Speaker 1: did finally say that, but he wasn't around all those
- 14:15Speaker 1: years that Janet needed somebody out there helping her. I'm
- 14:18Speaker 1: really angry about this one now where Tom Brady is
- 14:22Speaker 1: so tone deaf here? Is that what he said? It
- 14:25Speaker 1: is just not a good scab to pick. The only
- 14:29Speaker 1: conversation we should be having about Janet and the Super
- 14:31Speaker 1: Bowl is how they did her wrong. Period, That's the
- 14:34Speaker 1: only conversation. Is he right that the publicity probably helped
- 14:37Speaker 1: Maybe it helped the NFL, but it didn't help Janet
- 14:39Speaker 1: Jackson and so Janet, I feel like it's the victim here,
- 14:43Speaker 1: and to ignore the victim because of something else is
- 14:46Speaker 1: just not a good look. Tom. I'm so surprised he
- 14:49Speaker 1: brought this up. Maybe somebody asked him about it, and
- 14:52Speaker 1: I don't know. Yeah, if anybody asked me about Janet
- 14:54Speaker 1: Jackson and the Super Bowl, my first thing is not
- 14:57Speaker 1: what is good for the NFL, what is good for Janet.
- 15:00Speaker 1: This certainly was not Hey We're going to take a
- 15:03Speaker 1: quick break and we will be right back. Welcome back
- 15:07Speaker 1: to their naughty but nic shamand dear friend Corey Andrew. Hey, Corey,
- 15:11Speaker 1: let's get to the polls. Thank you. I love when
- 15:14Speaker 1: you sing out loud. Okay. Last year we talked about
- 15:18Speaker 1: Prince Harry and Megan and a royal standoff ahead of
- 15:22Speaker 1: the Caron nation. They don't want to go unless they
- 15:24Speaker 1: get an official apology. That ain't going to happen. So
- 15:27Speaker 1: what is going to occur here? Should they go? Should
- 15:30Speaker 1: they not go? What do you think? Should they attend?
- 15:32Speaker 1: Let's have a look. Said, yes, they should attend. I'm
- 15:35Speaker 1: with them here. This is a big day. This is
- 15:38Speaker 1: a big, big day in family. If you don't show up,
- 15:41Speaker 1: I think you will regret it. I do. I think
- 15:43Speaker 1: you will regret it now for me, because we're not
- 15:45Speaker 1: going to have a parent or a family member become
- 15:49Speaker 1: the king or Queen of England. A Carron nation is
- 15:52Speaker 1: not going to happen for us. Trying to think like
- 15:54Speaker 1: one of those are the big family moments. Birthdays are
- 15:57Speaker 1: not big enough. This is really like a death of somebody,
- 16:00Speaker 1: like your father died and you didn't turn up and
- 16:03Speaker 1: I don't know. You know, I have beef with some
- 16:04Speaker 1: of my brothers and sisters, sister Betty helloalllalla. But if
- 16:08Speaker 1: anything massive happened to my mom and my dad, I'd
- 16:12Speaker 1: make sure us there. Yeah. Yeah, It's tricky because I
- 16:15Speaker 1: think that if you really have they're really rejecting that
- 16:17Speaker 1: whole construct of the royal family, which it seems like
- 16:21Speaker 1: they are in a way. It may not be important.
- 16:24Speaker 1: That could be it. They may they may not care.
- 16:27Speaker 1: It might not care that. You can't make people care either,
- 16:30Speaker 1: whatever I think, whatever they choose to do, this is
- 16:33Speaker 1: a moment. This is a moment when we will know
- 16:35Speaker 1: is there any hope of them all getting back together?
- 16:37Speaker 1: Or no? Is it is? It? Is it over? It
- 16:40Speaker 1: makes me sad. Don't forget to vote on today's pole.
