- 0:00What's going on, folks? What's going on, everybody?
- 0:03My name is David, and I'm your legendary host of this legendary podcast,
- 0:08the Deconstructing Topic Podcast, where we grab a topic, we deconstruct it, boom, boom, boom.
- 0:13We do whatever we gotta do so we can learn from each other, because you already
- 0:17know one of my philosophies and mottos in life is saving a life,
- 0:23it's saving a mind. Let's do it.
- 0:25Let's go and on. And once again.
- 0:29We got a good one. We always got a good one. But today, off the bat,
- 0:33I'm just going to let you guys know, my people out there, I just want to say
- 0:37I appreciate you for listening and taking your time.
- 0:40Once again, hit the like button for whatever the platform is.
- 0:44Do that favor, one of the biggest favor that your boy is going to do.
- 0:47And it's not just a favor. It's helping you get me to places where, hey, listen,
- 0:54we all want to sit here and we all want to hold each other's hand,
- 0:58hug each other and be there for each other so hit the like feel free to comment
- 1:03feel free to share you already know that good stuff but we got a little inspiration
- 1:08thing going on because it is,
- 1:102026 and i just came off you know dealing with the little
- 1:13virus you already know here in the united states and in
- 1:17parts of the world it's that how can i say it
- 1:19it is flu season it is kind of iris season what's
- 1:23going on out there so make sure you take care of yourself when you are sick
- 1:26make sure that you dehydrate yourself
- 1:29and then get all those fluids going on coconut water if
- 1:32you can water whatever it is
- 1:35get some a little hot soup hot broth all
- 1:38that good stuff i just came from a couple of days from you know dealing with
- 1:43the little little thing that's going on but we're here to tell that story but
- 1:48that's why i decided hey listen 2026 it's already here we're already here You're
- 1:54already here And I would just want to share this story.
- 1:58Because if there's one thing in life We're all human beings here If you know
- 2:03that somebody's out there Listen to another planet Another universe,
- 2:06another galaxy Hey, by all means, hit me up You could also hit the like,
- 2:11comment, and share Wow, imagine that I'll be the first person Where these extra
- 2:16life forms Are sharing throughout the whole galaxy Let's go Woo!
- 2:23But again, for the most part, we are human beings and we deal with so many ups and downs in life.
- 2:28And we always and many of us have been in the situation where we know we need to make changes.
- 2:34We just don't know how to start. We don't know how to finish.
- 2:37We don't know. You know, we don't know. Right.
- 2:39As you and I and I always said to myself, oh, we in the same boat here.
- 2:45I saw you listening to this podcast. Amen. And one of the things that I'm going
- 2:50to open up in the upcoming weeks, and especially this year, I have an interesting,
- 2:55interesting story to tell.
- 2:57It's been nine years in the making, and it's one of those things where I find myself,
- 3:02that I say to myself, and I feel it deep in my conscience, that it's not too
- 3:08late to open up about a certain aspect, certain situation in my life.
- 3:13Because I said, you know what?
- 3:15Life works in wonders and a lot of things happen for a reason and great things
- 3:19happen for those who believe in weight.
- 3:22And we always, for those out there listening, you know, that find themselves, we need to make changes.
- 3:29David, I don't know, you can feel reach out to me.
- 3:33But once again, what we're facing and we're looking at each other in the mirror,
- 3:37what we're facing with problems that once again we need to make changes,
- 3:41we kind of tend to ask that question. Is it too late?
- 3:46Is it too late to learn? Is it too late to change?
- 3:49Is it too late to do this? Is it too late to do that?
- 3:52And many of us, we know the answer.
- 3:55Whether it's a yes or no, we always want to be realistic on what exactly it
- 3:59is that one wants to do something that's asking yourself that.
- 4:04A couple of episodes ago, if you're a certain age and you want to be an astral, by all means.
- 4:11Hey, by all means, but you know, sadly, there are criterias that you would need
- 4:14in order to become an astronaut, but it doesn't mean that you can't get closer
- 4:19to it. So the question is, is it too late?
- 4:22What does it take for one to get that dedication to be like,
- 4:27hey, listen, because I always have said a lot of times in life,
- 4:32it's not about motivation. It's about that discipline.
- 4:35And we're always going to face with these problems, with these things,
- 4:39whether it's somewhere in our professional life, in our personal life,
- 4:43and whatever that's in between.
- 4:45We're always going to be surrounded by so many circumstances that we get, in a way, stuck.
- 4:53We get complacent. And a lot of times we are just Addictive to be complacent Because for some reason,
- 5:02Our mind and body and soul And heart and all that good stuff We're just not
- 5:06in the same place Not in the same room.
- 5:09Everybody's having their little problems going on But hey, we are one,
- 5:14So we got to get those things together So that we can once and for all Put ourselves
- 5:20in that situation where we can ask, or at least we can show that it's not too late.
- 5:27And often than not, there are circumstances and things that need to happen in life.
- 5:31And a lot of times it comes down to control. A lot of times it comes down to that discipline.
- 5:37A lot of times you just got to get out of that comfort zone,
- 5:40out of that thing that's going on, out of that complacency that is dragging you.
- 5:46A long time ago, I once heard a conversation. I'm out of this little nice bar
- 5:51going on, you know, paid the little parties.
- 5:54But hey, listen, it was mature audience having mature conversations.
- 5:58And I've overheard this beautiful lady who seemed to have more experience than I did.
- 6:06And they were talking, hey, you know what?
- 6:09Complacency is the mother of all evil. And I'm like, that struck a chord.
- 6:14Because at that time, this was a long time ago. You know, I'm a young man.
- 6:17I'm still a young man. Hey, let's go.
- 6:20Wait, still got my point A. Let's go. But you get the gist.
- 6:24At that point in my life, there were new things that were happening.
- 6:31You know, and I just started working in this beautiful place that I'm working at the moment.
- 6:36It's not even work. I call it my life or part of.
- 6:41And I started to think, like, wait a minute.
- 6:44David, look where you are now. Look where you are at that point.
- 6:47Ask yourself, and as I'm asking myself, but ask yourself, for those who are
- 6:52listening, to what point in your life you said to yourself, I need to make a change.
- 6:58How many New Year's resolutions I have in life?
- 7:0130, 40, 50, 60, 100. Can I make 10,000 New Year's resolution or all that good stuff? By all means.
- 7:10Once again, I always say sometimes you don't have to hit the reset button when
- 7:15the New Year starts, when the new calendar starts, or whatever calendar that
- 7:18you follow, different cultures, different regions and so on.
- 7:23Sometimes you don't have to. But sometimes we are left where we hit the reset
- 7:28button when there's circumstances that takes off from the path and from that complacency.
- 7:35And then once again, it begs the question, is it too late?
- 7:39There's a song out there. I know it was a reason it just played in my mind. Baby is too late.
- 7:47It's an old school song or a classic song. I wasn't born in that time, but you already know.
- 7:54Classic music that is classic. It's not old. what
- 7:57do you think that they call classic music that are 300 years
- 8:01old is classic just because something is 40 50 is classic hey listen it's not
- 8:06always classic but you know it's too late but it's never too late because there
- 8:13are many things in life that yes we are gonna say well you know it's too late
- 8:17too late yeah absolutely.
- 8:20If the train tells you that it's going to be there at 8 and you there at 0, 0, 0, 1, yeah, bye-bye.
- 8:28You were too late. That's when, that's too late. But I'm talking about there's
- 8:32certain things in life about making changes surrounding, making changes in your
- 8:37surroundings. You're waking up.
- 8:39You're, you know, throughout the life, 24 hours. You're 24 hours a day.
- 8:44What you do in your sleep.
- 8:45What you sleep on. Whatever it is, what you think on.
- 8:48What's the first thing? And once again, I always tell people,
- 8:51when you start your day, now I'm going to say it's this, a lot of people,
- 8:56they work in different jobs where for them the morning is the night,
- 9:00the afternoon is the evening.
- 9:02You get the just, but whenever you is in a situation, especially if you wake
- 9:07up in the morning, that first step, that first thought, that is going to take you somewhere.
- 9:12And I always say the way you wake up in the morning, a lot of times they take
- 9:16how your day is going to be.
- 9:18And a lot of times we have bad days but guess what we remember how we woke up
- 9:23that morning how did we get to the bad days hey listen we don't have control sometimes in life.
- 9:29But what we learn from that bad day we take it and that's when we turn a bad day into a great week,
- 9:36when we turn a great week then hey listen we have a whole great month and we
- 9:40have a great month we You have a legendary goddamn year. Woof, let's get it.
- 9:45I don't want anybody to feel discouraged that because of certain circumstances,
- 9:50don't think that it's too late.
- 9:52And I want people, again, just, you know, my stories that I'm going to be sharing,
- 9:56stories that you say to yourself, wow, David, really?
- 9:59I was like, yeah, really. One of the things that I always, that I believe in myself.
- 10:06Is there days that it's a little bit harder than others? Yes,
- 10:09absolutely. I'll be straight up.
- 10:13You want to do this? You want to do that? It's the needs and the wants and all that good stuff.
- 10:18And then all those things that is going and racing in your mind,
- 10:22your mind is racing at 100, 110 miles per hour. But guess what?
- 10:27Your body ain't. You're stuck in a broad or you're stuck complacent.
- 10:33You know, I always have this conversation with people who feel,
- 10:37yeah, I've been procrastinating.
- 10:39You know, procrastinating. Once again, it has been proven by the scholars of
- 10:46psychology and how the mind works is that, you know, a lot of times, sadly,
- 10:53procrastination is a form of depression.
- 10:55There's some things that trigger for want to do. Sometimes we get busy,
- 10:58but there's things that trigger for us not to do anything. And we just want
- 11:03to either this or that because, hey, sometimes I had a conversation with a young brother.
- 11:10You just became a father and, you know, he has not been resting.
- 11:14And because of that, you know, he also had been doing some content, took a big break.
- 11:18But from the little, you know, from what he was explaining to me,
- 11:21it started, you know, one week, one week, led to two, two, three, four, then months.
- 11:27And then he was like, well, you know, I think it's been a couple of months.
- 11:30It's been a few months that I did a podcast. I did it with all the content.
- 11:34And then, but he said, you know, I've been procrastinating. You know,
- 11:36he explains it. Hey, rightfully so, I get it.
- 11:40But then he kind of, in a sense, started to realize, wait a minute.
- 11:44There are times that I do have time, and I like just to lay down and relax and do nothing.
- 11:50He could have been doing some constant. You understand that?
- 11:52That's where the procrastination, because sometimes circumstances,
- 11:56when we lay out circumstances, sadly, guess what? They'll be knocking on our door.
- 12:03They'll be part of our life. And then you're going to start feeling like motionless, motionless.
- 12:09And you're going to start to feel like it's nothing that we could do and you
- 12:13know i'm this and i'm dealing with that and i'm in this situation and this and that it's always those,
- 12:19can you do this can you do it that it's always those things and then we tend
- 12:24to forget what is the most important thing about making a change and getting
- 12:29to that next level is us they ain't going to question,
- 12:34is it too late anymore?
- 12:36Because life and life, and I could tell you in life with many stories,
- 12:41tomorrow is never guaranteed.
- 12:45And when tomorrow is never guaranteed, then the question doesn't become, is it too late?
- 12:51It becomes a statement and becomes a mission that it's not too late to make a change.
- 12:57All right, my folks, you already know, got love for you all.
