- 0:09Speaker 2: It is time believe your warriors outside and laugh with
- 0:13Speaker 2: us inside the Treehouse. I'm Daniel Malley along with Trey
- 0:17Speaker 2: Trentholm and Raj Sharma. I hope you've had a good
- 0:22Speaker 2: start to your week, kind of like how excited I
- 0:27Speaker 2: was at the end of my week last week when
- 0:35Speaker 2: I saw one of the biggest headlines I have seen
- 0:37Speaker 2: coming out of the Olympics in recent years. Maybe not
- 0:42Speaker 2: necessarily as newsworthy as Michael Phelps winning tons of gold
- 0:46Speaker 2: medals or whatever else happening blah blah blah, but more
- 0:51Speaker 2: specifically the accusations that men's long jumpers, that men's ski
- 0:59Speaker 2: jumpers are pumping up their wieners with hyaluronic acid so
- 1:06Speaker 2: they can fly farther in Olympic ski jumping. And I
- 1:11Speaker 2: know what you're thinking, wouldn't a bigger wiener produce more
- 1:15Speaker 2: drag therefore not make you fly as far? But you
- 1:20Speaker 2: don't know physics.
- 1:23Speaker 3: Or the Olympic village.
- 1:28Speaker 2: It's just a group of just a group of athletes
- 1:30Speaker 2: waiting at the bottom of the hill and say, hey,
- 1:32Speaker 2: he's got to come down sometime.
- 1:38Speaker 3: The viscidity, the acidity in that will destroy your wiener.
- 1:45Speaker 2: You know, when when you're in the middle of something
- 1:47Speaker 2: like that, you're not necessarily thinking about long term effects,
- 1:51Speaker 2: you're thinking about short term success.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Well you have You're gonna have short term for the
- 1:56Speaker 3: rest of your life now.
- 1:59Speaker 2: So this is probably one of the best explainers that
- 2:04Speaker 2: I've found when it comes to the penis injecting ski
- 2:09Speaker 2: jumpers at the Olympics. This is from Reuters.
- 2:13Speaker 4: Doping officials are currently investigating whether male ski jumpers are
- 2:17Speaker 4: artificially enlarging their penises to cheat. Nope, I'm not kidding.
- 2:22Speaker 4: The German newspaper Build raised concerns about athletes manipulating the
- 2:25Speaker 4: three D body scanning measurements used to size competition suits.
- 2:29Speaker 4: Ski Jumpers wear skin tight suits that are carefully measured
- 2:32Speaker 4: to ensure there's no extra material that could provide more
- 2:35Speaker 4: left during flight. The crotch area can only extend to
- 2:38Speaker 4: the bottom of an athlete's genitals. According to the paper's report,
- 2:41Speaker 4: some athletes may be injecting hyaluronic acid to temporarily enlarge
- 2:45Speaker 4: the penis, which would also allow for a larger more
- 2:48Speaker 4: aerodynamic suit. The World Antidoping Agency is exploring whether this
- 2:51Speaker 4: alleged practice constitutes doping. Last year, Norway's Olympic medalists were
- 2:56Speaker 4: suspended for secretly adjusting the seams around the crotch area
- 2:59Speaker 4: of their s. It's at the twenty twenty five World
- 3:01Speaker 4: Ski Championships. Three coaches were also banned. Hetchoriters dot com
- 3:05Speaker 4: for updates.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Goddamn Swedes and they're cheating crutches.
- 3:14Speaker 5: This is the only time you whatever one of black
- 3:18Speaker 5: long jumper.
- 3:21Speaker 2: I've been thinking about this all weekend. Where now yeah,
- 3:29Speaker 2: I have. I can't help it, not for any weird
- 3:31Speaker 2: reasons that you're thinking, Trey.
- 3:35Speaker 3: You walked into that joke, brother, Sorry.
- 3:38Speaker 2: You did, I have I've been thinking about uh no,
- 3:55Speaker 2: but yes, so it makes you wonder that and if
- 4:00Speaker 2: like in like in the Sweetish Side, they had three
- 4:03Speaker 2: coaches that got banned or kicked out whatever they said,
- 4:06Speaker 2: it was because of their involvement in their own Norgians.
- 4:11Speaker 3: Yeah Norway.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Oh, I thought I thought you said Swedes. Okay, Norwegians. Sorry,
- 4:17Speaker 2: so you got the Norwegians Jimmy and their their squirrel
- 4:22Speaker 2: suits for the ski jumping and they all get you know,
- 4:25Speaker 2: suspended or kicked out of the sport for it. Uh.
- 4:31Speaker 2: And some of these countries take the Olympics very very seriously,
- 4:34Speaker 2: like Russia, like they'll they'll see if you were going
- 4:37Speaker 2: to be sort of slated for a certain sport based
- 4:41Speaker 2: on you know, biology, you know, jeans, heredity type of stuff.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Now it's like, okay, well, if you have a big
- 4:51Speaker 2: enough schlonger, then maybe we want you to go into
- 4:53Speaker 2: ski jumping because you get more material for the suit. Conversely,
- 5:00Speaker 2: I keep thinking about that French pole vaulter from the
- 5:03Speaker 2: Summer Olympics a couple of years ago whose junk was
- 5:06Speaker 2: so big it knocked the pole off of you know
- 5:12Speaker 2: the thing. Yeah, well yeah, his pole knocked off the pole,
- 5:15Speaker 2: which made where his jump didn't count. So now what
- 5:18Speaker 2: they should do is, you're in their own sport. You
- 5:20Speaker 2: need tiny junk for that, so you don't want to
- 5:23Speaker 2: hitting the you know, the crossbars you go over. So
- 5:26Speaker 2: what they should do is just slide him over into
- 5:28Speaker 2: ski jumping and he might still be flying across the
- 5:31Speaker 2: athlete's village. I'm just saying that there's an opportunity here.
- 5:36Speaker 1: I mean, there's an opportunity for cool Runnings too.
- 5:41Speaker 2: I can't wait to see the team pick that up
- 5:43Speaker 2: and carry it across the finish line as John Candy
- 5:48Speaker 2: looks on with pride.
- 5:55Speaker 5: God, I'm just saying, it's uh aalarnic acid into your
- 6:01Speaker 5: junk like that's I think that's as white as it gets.
- 6:06Speaker 3: I don't know what what what else you guys can do?
- 6:09Speaker 2: Ah, Look, I'd love to fight you on that, but yeah,
- 6:16Speaker 2: it's I don't think there's many people of color.
- 6:21Speaker 3: At the Winter Olympics, correct in general, but especially the
- 6:24Speaker 3: ski jumping. Yeah.
- 6:28Speaker 5: If you see me flying down a mountain, uh, you
- 6:32Speaker 5: were old somebody money.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Shouldn't he be wearing skis?
- 6:40Speaker 2: Nope, we don't want him to just land.
- 6:46Speaker 3: We don't want him to land at all. He can testify.
- 6:54Speaker 2: Oh God, I like, I know it's childish and I
- 6:58Speaker 2: can't help it, but really mean that that headline was
- 7:01Speaker 2: right at my algorithm all weekend. It's like it's social
- 7:05Speaker 2: media new Oh this is the story Dan wants to see.
- 7:07Speaker 3: I can't believe how bad that would burn. Just to
- 7:12Speaker 3: do that, I mean, just to just to give you know,
- 7:14Speaker 3: just to game inches in a suit, But hyalouronic acid
- 7:19Speaker 3: will burn horribly.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Well, they use it in fillers now, so I'm gonna guess, well.
- 7:25Speaker 3: That's if they're using So if it's medical graded, yeah, yeah,
- 7:30Speaker 3: to be all right, but it'll still burn because you're
- 7:34Speaker 3: going straight into cartilage.
- 7:36Speaker 1: You're sticking a needle in your dick.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Yes, that's that's cartilage.
- 7:42Speaker 2: So yeah, but you're you're more focused on the fluid
- 7:46Speaker 2: inside the needle trays, more focused on the needle itself
- 7:50Speaker 2: like that, it's all gonna hurt. So and Ryers, I
- 7:54Speaker 2: get it. It's weird to think by adding a couple
- 7:57Speaker 2: of inches you'll add meters to your skin jump, when
- 8:01Speaker 2: in reality the equation is well smaller than that. Uh,
- 8:07Speaker 2: this is a really good graphic I found about it.
- 8:10Speaker 2: So you and you inject your Wiener with just the
- 8:12Speaker 2: right amount of filler, and even if you only increase
- 8:17Speaker 2: two centimeters for every two centimeter, for every two centimeter
- 8:22Speaker 2: increase in Wiener size, okay, or that gives you a
- 8:27Speaker 2: certain amount of excess material which increases your lift by
- 8:32Speaker 2: five percent, And that five percent is equivalent to an
- 8:36Speaker 2: extra five point eight meters in jump length.
- 8:39Speaker 3: That's impressive.
- 8:41Speaker 2: So I mean, if you add two inches you might
- 8:43Speaker 2: get like five miles on your ski jump.
- 8:46Speaker 3: These poor guys from Norway didn't even have a two
- 8:48Speaker 3: centimeter dick. I think they beat the smallest guy.
- 8:59Speaker 2: But this also opens my eyes to something else I
- 9:01Speaker 2: never even knew existed in the Olympics, is that the
- 9:05Speaker 2: ski jumpers have to be like basically like their suits
- 9:09Speaker 2: are basically laser cut to their bodies. It's for them
- 9:13Speaker 2: and them only, which means someone has to do that
- 9:15Speaker 2: on an official basis.
- 9:17Speaker 3: Well, that's why I was wondering why the coaches got fired,
- 9:20Speaker 3: because I'm sure they were the ones sowing the no.
- 9:24Speaker 2: I think it's part of the Olympic committee that does
- 9:26Speaker 2: like the scanning of the suits. Wow, and then they're
- 9:29Speaker 2: basically handed out like, okay, this is your suit because
- 9:33Speaker 2: we measured the with the body scan and everything. You're
- 9:37Speaker 2: this big, So I guess the injection your wiener is temporary,
- 9:42Speaker 2: so when it goes down it was big when you
- 9:45Speaker 2: got scanned for the suit, so you get the extra
- 9:48Speaker 2: material which adds the lift.
- 9:50Speaker 3: But wouldn't the scanner have been there four years ago,
- 9:54Speaker 3: like and just see like spin and be like, hey
- 9:58Speaker 3: you got thick.
- 10:00Speaker 2: You been working out. I know if they keep scans
- 10:07Speaker 2: on file and compare previous years.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Dan, did this make you question your your choice of vocation?
- 10:14Speaker 1: You wish you had gotten into suit making.
- 10:21Speaker 2: I'm gonna give you credit there because that was not
- 10:23Speaker 2: the direction I thought you were going to go in.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Save here.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Just me and my own sweatshop.
- 10:35Speaker 3: Well, you're you're floating for a different reasons. That's right.
- 10:45Speaker 6: You're listening to The Treehouse.

- 11:18Speaker 2: the show underway. We're helping homeowners with approachable ways to
- 11:22Speaker 2: make their homes safer, a little more manageable, and just
- 11:25Speaker 2: to know the home better. In addition to that is
- 11:29Speaker 2: storm related things. We've covered that on the show already.
- 11:32Speaker 2: How storms and severe weather can affect your home, Specifically, hail,
- 11:37Speaker 2: one of the worst culprits to damaging the homes. What's
- 11:41Speaker 2: one of the biggest chunks of hale you've seen in
- 11:43Speaker 2: your business?
- 11:43Speaker 7: Personally about a three inch helstorm. That was the largest
- 11:47Speaker 7: one I've seen. Now, granted we get out there. Sometimes
- 11:52Speaker 7: you're out right after the event. People will call us
- 11:54Speaker 7: because they have holes that coming in their windows, are
- 11:56Speaker 7: actually coming through their decking of their house, you know.
- 11:59Speaker 7: So those are usually when we find the largest ones.
- 12:02Speaker 7: And then the next morning, believe it or not, there'll
- 12:04Speaker 7: still be piles of hell around people's homes. Because when
- 12:07Speaker 7: you have a substantial hailstorm, you're talking about large quantities,
- 12:11Speaker 7: and so it doesn't melt usually overnight. It's usually setting
- 12:14Speaker 7: there the next morning in the little Covis's and your
- 12:17Speaker 7: yards are still covered. And when hell comes down in
- 12:20Speaker 7: those large storms, it knocks all the leaves off, almost
- 12:22Speaker 7: all the trees. You can even see concrete and grass
- 12:25Speaker 7: because there's tree debris over everything in the neighborhood. So,
- 12:29Speaker 7: I mean, if you ever drive through after a hell event,
- 12:32Speaker 7: it's astonishing. It looks like a war zone almost. I mean,
- 12:36Speaker 7: you got, like I said, there's landscaping debris everywhere. There's
- 12:40Speaker 7: all those people's personal effects, you know, things from their landscaping,
- 12:43Speaker 7: their backyard. I mean, you got bikes in the middle
- 12:46Speaker 7: of the street, skateboard, I mean, it's just it's crazy.
- 12:49Speaker 7: But yeah, three inch. But I do know that South
- 12:52Speaker 7: Texas gets a lot of the large large hill. Last year,
- 12:56Speaker 7: I want to say it was a six and a
- 12:58Speaker 7: half inch I think stone that came down. It was
- 13:01Speaker 7: one of the largest ones ever recorded, So it's substantially
- 13:06Speaker 7: what thing come out. And then even in Ralette, I
- 13:09Speaker 7: think that was like twenty sixteen, they had hell the
- 13:12Speaker 7: size of cantelopes coming through and it was so powerful
- 13:16Speaker 7: it was actually coming through the people's roofs all the
- 13:19Speaker 7: way through the decking into their home.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Oh god.
- 13:22Speaker 7: There were actually people that had claims on furniture, breaking
- 13:26Speaker 7: glass tables. I remember specifically there was a refrigerator that
- 13:30Speaker 7: got put on pictures in the network and it had
- 13:34Speaker 7: a dent in it from the hailstorm coming through the
- 13:36Speaker 7: decking and hitting the refrigerator. I don't know how many
- 13:38Speaker 7: people can say they actually had a refrigerator on the
- 13:40Speaker 7: Hell clane.

- 14:14Speaker 2: or the website cook dfw dot com. Are you guys
- 14:21Speaker 2: familiar with the phrase does a bear in the woods?
- 14:27Speaker 1: Now?
- 14:28Speaker 2: Let me just use that phrase in a new light. Okay,
- 14:33Speaker 2: if a bear in the woods, would you then break
- 14:37Speaker 2: it down into liquid form and turn it into a
- 14:39Speaker 2: beer and drink it?
- 14:44Speaker 1: No, if I'm any place where I there are wild bears,
- 14:47Speaker 1: I'm getting the fuck out of there.
- 14:50Speaker 3: That's a whole different version of toilet wine.
- 14:58Speaker 2: From Columbia Sportswear and Oregon's Breakside Brewery comes Nature calls
- 15:09Speaker 2: beer made from bear poop.
- 15:14Speaker 3: Yeah, what are you guys doing?
- 15:17Speaker 2: This is not me, This is not Trey. We're disgusted
- 15:20Speaker 2: by this as well.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Hang on, there's white, and then there's the Pacific Northwest.
- 15:27Speaker 2: There's white. Then there's granola white. This is the Granola
- 15:32Speaker 2: White having too much free time with their craft bruise
- 15:36Speaker 2: or in this case, their craft bruise. Oh boy, Yeah,
- 15:41Speaker 2: it was a ridiculous idea. And for Columbia Sports, where
- 15:45Speaker 2: that was the point for a promotion built around Super
- 15:49Speaker 2: Bowl sixty. The Portland, Oregon headquartered outdoor apparel maker wanted
- 15:53Speaker 2: to poke fun at the traditional beer ads that run
- 15:57Speaker 2: during the biggest TV advertising event of the year. But
- 16:00Speaker 2: to do that, they needed a beer. According to Ben Edmonds,
- 16:05Speaker 2: brewmaster and co owner of Breakside Brewery, the Portland, Oregon
- 16:09Speaker 2: brewery that made the beer, he says this was spearheaded
- 16:13Speaker 2: by Columbia. I like how he likes to say, is
- 16:14Speaker 2: Columbia's idea, but they only lid like a small role
- 16:19Speaker 2: and it's like, no, man, you need to own your
- 16:21Speaker 2: part in this. As ridiculous as beer made from bear
- 16:26Speaker 2: scat might sound, breweries breweries have made beer with all
- 16:29Speaker 2: sorts of headline grabbing ingredients, including sheep dung, smoked malts,
- 16:35Speaker 2: and whale testicles. I like to point out, maybe go
- 16:41Speaker 2: out on a limb here that the the home brewing
- 16:44Speaker 2: stuff has got to stop. You're just going outside and
- 16:48Speaker 2: forging stuff you found and turning it into beer. Stop it.
- 16:52Speaker 3: Hey, if you can go outside and forge whale testicles,
- 16:56Speaker 3: you earn the beer. You know what?
- 16:59Speaker 2: You have to ferment everything you find sometimes just some
- 17:04Speaker 2: hops is fine.
- 17:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I just like a middle light good.
- 17:10Speaker 2: Golden wheat thumbs up for me. I'm good. I just
- 17:15Speaker 2: I just I just Nature Calls people actually taste tested this,
- 17:22Speaker 2: and yeah, it's from the people at the Oregonian. So
- 17:25Speaker 2: good on them. They said, what does it taste like?
- 17:30Speaker 2: They said they wanted it to taste good. Well, good job.
- 17:32Speaker 2: What they basically did was they went out found some
- 17:35Speaker 2: bear poop, took it back to the brewery and took
- 17:39Speaker 2: it like like downstream water from bear poop basically and
- 17:44Speaker 2: filtered it all out. But use that water in the
- 17:47Speaker 2: making of the Nature Calls beer. So it comes from
- 17:53Speaker 2: filtered bear poop.
- 17:56Speaker 3: Oh that makes it better. Sure, I mean you're filtering
- 18:02Speaker 3: out the paras science, you're filtering out the I guess.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Some salmon sperm in there though, you.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Know, Oh oh yeah, just for the right viscosity. I
- 18:19Speaker 2: don't I don't.
- 18:19Speaker 3: Do you add an orange to it? Do you put
- 18:21Speaker 3: an orange or a lime?
- 18:23Speaker 1: Oh?
- 18:24Speaker 2: I don't know if it's uh, I don't know if
- 18:25Speaker 2: it's recommended to come with any sort of a fruit accompaniment.
- 18:29Speaker 5: Oh okay, interesting, Yeah, that I'm not sure about. Maybe
- 18:34Speaker 5: a Marishina cherry. I mean that's dipped in bleach, so
- 18:39Speaker 5: that might as well.
- 18:40Speaker 2: It might be a nice compliment with any luck, it'll
- 18:44Speaker 2: kill me so before I have to taste the bear boop,
- 18:49Speaker 2: I just I don't.
- 18:51Speaker 3: Look.
- 18:52Speaker 2: I'm all for people promoting stuff and finding an angle
- 18:55Speaker 2: to promote their company, promote their products, like this is
- 18:58Speaker 2: gonna be good for the brewery. Perhaps I don't want
- 19:02Speaker 2: to take their tour ever now. No, and I like
- 19:07Speaker 2: Columbia sports Wear as a product line.
- 19:10Speaker 3: Thankfully.
- 19:10Speaker 2: The shirts I have of theirs, I don't, as far
- 19:12Speaker 2: as I know, don't have bear poop in them. As
- 19:15Speaker 2: far as you know, as far as I know, I
- 19:17Speaker 2: would think they'd have to disclaim that somewhere.
- 19:20Speaker 3: It could have been on the tag that you didn't read.
- 19:24Speaker 2: Surprisingly enough, I read my tags.
- 19:27Speaker 3: Interesting. Okay.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I am weird that way because if I find
- 19:30Speaker 2: a shirt or pants or something, but especially shirts, if
- 19:33Speaker 2: I find a shirt that I really really like, I
- 19:36Speaker 2: want to find out the material breakdown. So if I
- 19:39Speaker 2: see similar shirts from other places, I like like, oh
- 19:43Speaker 2: I like this, I like this combination of cotton and
- 19:46Speaker 2: laste or whatever. So yeah, I'm weird like that.
- 19:48Speaker 3: Yeah. So if it was like cotton spandex bear poop,
- 19:58Speaker 3: you would stop, you wouldn't buy the shirt.
- 20:00Speaker 2: I don't know. It depends on how soft it is.
- 20:02Speaker 2: I'm not eating the shirt and this as long as
- 20:05Speaker 2: it doesn't smell like beer poop.
- 20:10Speaker 1: Whoever is in charge of Columbia's you know, advertising, they
- 20:15Speaker 1: should be fired.
- 20:16Speaker 2: That's all I think. You think this is going the
- 20:17Speaker 2: way of bud lights from a few years.
- 20:19Speaker 1: Well, let's let's let's let's look at the big picture here.
- 20:24Speaker 1: You've just had as far as you know, like mountain climbing,
- 20:28Speaker 1: you just had a guy scale a sky skyscraper. Mountain
- 20:32Speaker 1: climbing has been gotten more pr lately. You couldn't feed
- 20:37Speaker 1: off that.
- 20:38Speaker 2: You mean like an Alex Honold poop beer.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Or just an Alex Honold commercial. I mean, I I
- 20:45Speaker 1: can think of a lot of things, a lot of
- 20:47Speaker 1: documentaries where you could come up with really cool advertising
- 20:51Speaker 1: things for Columbia the outerwear brand. Why an outerwear brand
- 20:56Speaker 1: wants to poop?
- 20:59Speaker 3: And I mean, if you're looking at the angle, it
- 21:05Speaker 3: should be an underwear brand. Because when I watched it,
- 21:07Speaker 3: I shipped myself.
- 21:13Speaker 2: So just to clarify, hear the Columbia Sportswear Company and
- 21:17Speaker 2: the Oregon Brewery Breakside joined forces.
- 21:21Speaker 1: But if you read what the statement is, I feel
- 21:24Speaker 1: like the brewery is like saying they had a gun
- 21:27Speaker 1: to our head.
- 21:29Speaker 2: Well I think so, and I think the gun was
- 21:32Speaker 2: kind of like a bag of money and a gun
- 21:33Speaker 2: because they're like, look, we got this idea, we want
- 21:35Speaker 2: you guys to do it, and they're thinking, as a business, well,
- 21:38Speaker 2: we can't turn this down. But we don't want people
- 21:41Speaker 2: thinking it's our normal product, and we don't want people
- 21:44Speaker 2: thinking it was our idea.
- 21:46Speaker 1: I mean, if you're you're in the Pacific Northwest, I
- 21:48Speaker 1: think the only person, the other person that you can't
- 21:50Speaker 1: say no to is Phil Knight.
- 21:54Speaker 2: Yeah, m hm, Nike, Yes, so nature calls beer. The
- 22:03Speaker 2: bear poop is sourced from Montana, oh was infused into
- 22:09Speaker 2: water from the Bull Run River before being treated and
- 22:13Speaker 2: used to brew a light lagger with honey and huckleberry.
- 22:17Speaker 3: M I prefer my poop from Wyoming, you snow, I'm
- 22:33Speaker 3: a boozie bitch. I can't help.
- 22:35Speaker 6: Get that Montana here, Wyoming or nothing at all, preferably
- 22:48Speaker 6: from Cheyenne.
- 22:53Speaker 1: I mean, is this going to be the first of
- 22:58Speaker 1: many River beers.
- 23:01Speaker 3: I mean, oh, trust me, I went to school in
- 23:05Speaker 3: Sant Marca's there's a lot of river.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Beers of like a nice co ed I p A
- 23:14Speaker 2: made from the piss.
- 23:15Speaker 1: Of Texas Lake Austin beer.
- 23:22Speaker 3: This this tastes like a nice tri delt.
- 23:36Speaker 2: A word of warning, though, when when you decide to
- 23:38Speaker 2: pick up the I p A from Texas A and
- 23:40Speaker 2: M and the court.
- 23:48Speaker 3: This tastes like hate and violence.
- 23:53Speaker 2: From Texas A and M Breweries, gagam.

- 25:13Speaker 2: was racking my brain in the break talking about the
- 25:15Speaker 2: when nature calls beer that's made out of bear poop
- 25:20Speaker 2: from the Columbia Sportswear Company and the Brakeside, Oregon or
- 25:24Speaker 2: the Brakside Brewery out of Oregon, which missed opportunity to
- 25:27Speaker 2: call it backside for this promotion, and I was like,
- 25:31Speaker 2: I know, this sounds familiar, using wild animal stuff for beer, right,
- 25:38Speaker 2: And I was like, God, this sounds similar. I feel
- 25:39Speaker 2: like we've done a story similar to this before, and
- 25:41Speaker 2: I think we did. Beaver butts, or more specifically, beaver
- 25:51Speaker 2: sack excretions have flavored more foods and beverages than we realize,
- 26:00Speaker 2: which is a substance from beaver anal glands has been
- 26:03Speaker 2: historically used as a natural flavoring in foods and beverages,
- 26:07Speaker 2: including craft beers or spirits. Although rarely. They said, it
- 26:13Speaker 2: adds vanilla, raspberry, or woody notes, but of course it
- 26:19Speaker 2: is FDA approved, but it's rarely used today due to
- 26:23Speaker 2: cost and scarcity. Probably also the consent of the beavers
- 26:27Speaker 2: might play a role. They say that while it's often
- 26:32Speaker 2: cited in general, it's primarily used in specialty or niche
- 26:36Speaker 2: products like ooh d'a musk, which is a bourbon or
- 26:40Speaker 2: a Scandinavian.
- 26:42Speaker 3: Schnaps, or Buckie's beaver nuggets.
- 26:51Speaker 2: I mean, maybe not specifically in there, but maybe inspired
- 26:53Speaker 2: by because there are some vanilla notes in the beaver nuggets. Okay, yeah,
- 27:03Speaker 2: I saw it. It rained familiar and I wanted to
- 27:06Speaker 2: share it with you. So there you have it. Bear
- 27:08Speaker 2: poop and beaver sacks, beaver anal gland excretions are FDA approved,
- 27:19Speaker 2: and I just I just don't understand. Well, I mean,
- 27:25Speaker 2: it's organic, all natural, so is mine.
- 27:29Speaker 3: Are you gonna drink my beer? Yeah?
- 27:33Speaker 2: I'm never gonna trust anyone that's home brewing, Never gonna
- 27:36Speaker 2: trust him ever again, Like, what's in this?
- 27:40Speaker 3: You're gonna drink it?
- 27:43Speaker 2: Do you mind doing that? Downstream? Please?
- 27:47Speaker 3: Did you learn nothing?
- 27:49Speaker 2: Did you learn nothing watching all those bear girls shows
- 27:52Speaker 2: where he's drinking water out of elephant poo and stuff.
- 27:56Speaker 3: And then goes to the four Seasons. Yeah, behind him
- 28:00Speaker 3: so cold? All right, cut, bring on the road back
- 28:05Speaker 3: to the five Star on the other side of these trees.
- 28:09Speaker 3: Did you ever see the catering list from that show? Yeah?
- 28:13Speaker 2: It was really good. It sounded yummy. I mean it
- 28:15Speaker 2: sounded like a really good all inclusive resort.
- 28:18Speaker 3: No, no, no, these just just the catering that was on set.
- 28:24Speaker 3: It was like lobster and cakes and muffins and fruit
- 28:29Speaker 3: and this was just right off camera and he's like,
- 28:32Speaker 3: I'm about to eat this, and it's like cut and
- 28:34Speaker 3: then the he walks over and has a lobster.
- 28:37Speaker 2: Imagine the lobster is probably a good palate cleanser after
- 28:40Speaker 2: you just drink elephant shit water.
- 28:46Speaker 3: That's an I p a.
- 28:46Speaker 8: Dan.
- 28:48Speaker 2: There was one episode of that Bear Girls show that
- 28:49Speaker 2: I stood. I mean there's a number that I that
- 28:52Speaker 2: I remember, but there was one of like he.
- 28:56Speaker 3: Got it.
- 28:57Speaker 1: I got India poo ale yes.
- 29:03Speaker 2: All right, I didn't get it that far, but I got.
- 29:07Speaker 3: When I saw his face, I was like, somebody get
- 29:10Speaker 3: this joke.
- 29:13Speaker 2: There was one scene in one of his episodes where
- 29:16Speaker 2: he pulls this huge worm out of this fallen log
- 29:19Speaker 2: kind of a thing, and you just you know he's
- 29:22Speaker 2: going to eat it. You know, you know it's coming,
- 29:23Speaker 2: and but what you were not prepared for is when
- 29:26Speaker 2: he bites into it, the juices of it shoot out
- 29:29Speaker 2: and into the lens of the camera. So when it
- 29:34Speaker 2: came out that they had all sorts of really fancy
- 29:37Speaker 2: catering and he wasn't actually staying the night in rainy
- 29:40Speaker 2: jungles next to pythons and scorpions and things, A, I
- 29:43Speaker 2: was not surprised. B I feel like he earned it
- 29:47Speaker 2: because the man did some really nasty, nasty stuff on
- 29:51Speaker 2: that show, regardless of what it was like to shoot
- 29:58Speaker 2: it behind the scenes. If he eats a Caribbean lobster
- 30:02Speaker 2: grilled to perfection after he drinks water out of camel,
- 30:09Speaker 2: who fine, by me, he's earned it.
- 30:13Speaker 1: I mean he's earned it for the fact that he
- 30:16Speaker 1: got there because his parachute didn't open any plummeting into
- 30:20Speaker 1: the earth and survived.
- 30:22Speaker 2: Was that his origin story?
- 30:25Speaker 3: Yeah, so I know he was.
- 30:27Speaker 2: He was like British Special Forces, right, and then so
- 30:33Speaker 2: during his time during Special Forces, his parachute didn't open
- 30:36Speaker 2: and he had to survive and that's how he became famous.
- 30:38Speaker 2: Or he was already out of the earth.
- 30:39Speaker 1: He survived plummeting to the earth like it. Oh, I
- 30:43Speaker 1: forgot how many bones? And then he was in the
- 30:45Speaker 1: hospital forever and then came out. And I'm guessing that
- 30:49Speaker 1: you know that life experience just gives you. I don't
- 30:51Speaker 1: give up f attitude.
- 30:52Speaker 2: And you know what I mean. Yeah, if you eat
- 30:55Speaker 2: enough hospital food, you'll be willing to eat some juicy
- 30:59Speaker 2: worms out of tree logs.
- 31:03Speaker 3: Brown people, we just die. That's just that's that's just
- 31:06Speaker 3: what we do.
- 31:09Speaker 2: Like if you survive the initial fall, you look over
- 31:11Speaker 2: at the cliff that you didn't fall over and you're like,
- 31:13Speaker 2: just screw it, just fling.
- 31:15Speaker 5: You have to eat that worm or jump off this cliff.
- 31:19Speaker 5: We're jumping, buddy, that's what we're gonna do.
- 31:23Speaker 2: I would be the guy who's thinking, I'm just gonna
- 31:25Speaker 2: try to walk off, like and then maybe I'll get
- 31:28Speaker 2: lucky and find a seven eleven or something.
- 31:31Speaker 3: And you're sending the brown guy to the seven eleven. No, no,
- 31:35Speaker 3: nice for me, oh.
- 31:36Speaker 2: For you, Okay, yeah, No, I'm not going to tell
- 31:38Speaker 2: you to do that that would be racist.
- 31:42Speaker 3: I'll greet you when you walk it, you do what
- 31:44Speaker 3: you want.
- 31:45Speaker 2: All I'm saying is I'm not flinging if I survive
- 31:48Speaker 2: the fall, I'm not flinging myself off another cliff just
- 31:51Speaker 2: to finish the job. Uh. And I'm really going to
- 31:54Speaker 2: try to avoid eating that juicy worm. I'm just gonna
- 31:57Speaker 2: walk until maybe I get lucky and there's somebody's campsite
- 32:03Speaker 2: that I get to rummage through.
- 32:06Speaker 3: Worm or a big bite? Which one do you want?
- 32:12Speaker 3: Which one do you think it's healthier?
- 32:15Speaker 2: Healthier?
- 32:15Speaker 3: Oh?
- 32:15Speaker 2: Okay, that's easy. Which one I'd rather eat?
- 32:19Speaker 3: Now you go in big bite.
- 32:22Speaker 2: I'd rather eat the big bite, but I know that
- 32:24Speaker 2: worm is healthier. Yeah, and certainly more natural.
- 32:28Speaker 3: Well, there's nothing natural about a big bite or they're
- 32:31Speaker 3: chili or their cheese. I know this because I had
- 32:36Speaker 3: one two nights ago.
- 32:37Speaker 2: So look, just because something isn't quote unquote natural doesn't
- 32:44Speaker 2: mean it's not delicious. In fact, the entire food industry,
- 32:47Speaker 2: or portions of it, are built around that that some
- 32:51Speaker 2: of the most delicious things that we eat are in
- 32:53Speaker 2: no way natural kind of like uh, like a can
- 32:56Speaker 2: of pringles that's not potatoes, Like they're not even a
- 32:59Speaker 2: like if you read the can, it says potato crisps.
- 33:03Speaker 2: It doesn't even say like it's not actual potato in there.
- 33:06Speaker 2: There's like there's like some potato flake in there, but
- 33:09Speaker 2: that's not a potato chip you're eating, cause you know,
- 33:12Speaker 2: potatoes don't come in that perfectly formed scoop.
- 33:16Speaker 5: That was my favorite, one of my favorite Mitch headbreak
- 33:19Speaker 5: jokes where they started off making tennis balls, but the
- 33:26Speaker 5: balls didn't show up, but the cans did.
- 33:32Speaker 3: Basically, he's like, he's like, you know what, what can
- 33:35Speaker 3: we put in these? And they're like, we got a
- 33:37Speaker 3: bunch of potatoes and the tennis balls didn't show up,
- 33:40Speaker 3: but the potatoes did.
- 33:42Speaker 5: And that's what they started putting them in. Looks like
- 33:44Speaker 5: tennis ball cans. That's exactly what it does, all right.
- 33:49Speaker 2: Last thing, speaking of unnatural things, you guys big in
- 33:53Speaker 2: a door dash.
- 33:56Speaker 3: I'm more of an uber eats.
- 33:57Speaker 2: Okay, Tray, you're shaking your head. No, I think like
- 34:00Speaker 2: to cook a lot more. You try to stay away
- 34:01Speaker 2: from the food deliveries.
- 34:03Speaker 1: I yeah, I if I want something bad, I mean
- 34:07Speaker 1: occasionally I'll have something delivered, but generally if I want
- 34:09Speaker 1: something I can get off my ass and go get.
- 34:10Speaker 2: It fair enough, Well, you may this may cement your strategy.
- 34:19Speaker 2: A door Dash driver was recently fired after being caught
- 34:22Speaker 2: touching herself then handling customer's food. Yeah, an Ohio customer
- 34:34Speaker 2: caught her door Dash driver on video placing her hands
- 34:40Speaker 2: down her pants while delivering her delivery food. The incident
- 34:48Speaker 2: reportedly happened in real time, prompting her to throw the
- 34:51Speaker 2: food away and contact door Dash immediately. Door Dash confirmed
- 34:57Speaker 2: that they fired the driver, but the driver is arguing
- 34:59Speaker 2: that the the video doesn't tell the whole story.
- 35:04Speaker 3: I think that's kid from kidd and Play.
- 35:09Speaker 2: This is a good time to remind you that if
- 35:11Speaker 2: you would like to subscribe to Treehouse Pleasant see the
- 35:14Speaker 2: video of this, you can. But I mean it's a
- 35:17Speaker 2: ring camera. It's and an apartment complex. The lady's walking
- 35:19Speaker 2: up with the food delivery. The food delivery is in
- 35:23Speaker 2: her left hand, but she reaches down her first of all,
- 35:27Speaker 2: she looks around, so she's, you know, she's thinking there's
- 35:30Speaker 2: some privacy here. She takes her free hand and goes
- 35:33Speaker 2: straight down the front of her pants and just goes
- 35:39Speaker 2: to town like she's got an itch that really really needed
- 35:42Speaker 2: to be scratched, and that's what she did.
- 35:45Speaker 3: And then she.
- 35:46Speaker 2: Grabs the food and then she places it on the mat,
- 35:49Speaker 2: takes the photo. Now, the scratching hand barely touches the food.
- 35:55Speaker 2: It doesn't actually even touch the food. It touches the
- 35:57Speaker 2: plastic bag around it. But then she goes and uses
- 35:59Speaker 2: the same hand to touch her own phone. She touches
- 36:04Speaker 2: her own phone with her itching hand more than she
- 36:06Speaker 2: touched the food. I'm not saying that she that she
- 36:10Speaker 2: shouldn't be fired or anything, and that this isn't disgusting,
- 36:12Speaker 2: because it is. It's just, you know, I mean, it's
- 36:14Speaker 2: not that bad. It's bad, it's just not as bad
- 36:17Speaker 2: when you see it in context.
- 36:21Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, okay, I mean I see this and
- 36:24Speaker 3: then she's like, hey, something itches right here, I gotta
- 36:28Speaker 3: grab that real quick, and here's your pizza. And the
- 36:36Speaker 3: phone thing is gross because I think it gets to
- 36:38Speaker 3: her head, right, does she or is she just texting?
- 36:42Speaker 2: I think what she's about to take the photo of
- 36:44Speaker 2: the confirmation to send.
- 36:46Speaker 5: YEA, yeah, I mean sometimes you gotta sometimes you gotta scratch.
- 36:53Speaker 1: I mean she should have waited till she got back
- 36:54Speaker 1: to her super r.
- 36:58Speaker 3: Her husky would have done it for her. Uh.
- 37:04Speaker 2: All I'm saying is the next time you order from
- 37:06Speaker 2: a scratch kitchen on door dash, you might be getting
- 37:11Speaker 2: more than you bargained for.
- 37:13Speaker 3: This is so why I do fast food.
- 37:17Speaker 2: I will never look at when someone says scratch cooking.
- 37:21Speaker 2: I will never look at it the same.
- 37:24Speaker 5: Yeah she uh, and and it was it if it
- 37:28Speaker 5: was itching that bad? There, there's something happening with that girl.
- 37:32Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 37:32Speaker 2: I would also like to point out that if this
- 37:35Speaker 2: offends you, don't ever eat barbecue again, because I have
- 37:40Speaker 2: seen many of men smoke meats, and while they're smoking meats,
- 37:45Speaker 2: their hands go down their pants numerous times for various
- 37:48Speaker 2: itchings and scratchings. So just keep that in mind.
- 37:52Speaker 1: Well, Dan, what happens at your backyard parties and what
- 37:54Speaker 1: happens at barbecue restaurants are two different things.
- 37:56Speaker 3: Okay, talk about smoked sausage.
- 38:08Speaker 2: Is that why you didn't come to my last barbecue?
- 38:11Speaker 3: I'm sure enough people came at your Barbietree.
