- 0:08Speaker 2: Well, actually, let me rephrase.
- 0:10Speaker 1: The past weather we've had has been a good reminder
- 0:13Speaker 1: that I'm gonna wake up and I'm going to go
- 0:15Speaker 1: to work every single day and work my little booty
- 0:18Speaker 1: off so that there is something I never have to
- 0:20Speaker 1: go back to not having. Do you have I'm never
- 0:23Speaker 1: going back moment? Let us know about it. At seven
- 0:27Speaker 1: oh one two eight zero one eight seven. You know
- 0:29Speaker 1: what happens, Angie when it's like minus ten outside.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Or the worst day of my life when.
- 0:34Speaker 1: It snows and you have to clean off your car.
- 0:40Speaker 1: You have to either scrape off that frost that is
- 0:43Speaker 1: just a nightmare and never comes off, or you've got
- 0:46Speaker 1: to get all the snow off before you drive.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Because you don't want to kick it.
- 0:49Speaker 1: I hate that I have worked for thirty five years
- 0:53Speaker 1: out the womb. I started working for thirty five years
- 0:57Speaker 1: so that I could have a two car garage. Okay,
- 1:01Speaker 1: I am not an animal. At one point, Corey and
- 1:03Speaker 1: I did not have a two car garage. Do you
- 1:06Speaker 1: think I would make my poor sweet loving wife park
- 1:09Speaker 1: outside of No course I would not do that.
- 1:11Speaker 2: I'm not an animal.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Right, So when we got our first two car garage
- 1:17Speaker 1: in Iowa, I said, I'm never I mean, this is great.
- 1:20Speaker 1: I'm never going back. So when we got to Fargo,
- 1:24Speaker 1: we have a two car garage. That's one of those
- 1:26Speaker 1: must halves.
- 1:27Speaker 2: You know. Some people are like, oh, I have to
- 1:29Speaker 2: have two bathrooms.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll have none bathrooms before I have not a
- 1:33Speaker 1: two car garage. Okay, we got this two car garage.
- 1:36Speaker 1: That's insane. This two car garage that's insulated. I'm never
- 1:43Speaker 1: going back. It's not heated, but it is insulated, so
- 1:48Speaker 1: it really never get that cold in there. It's always
- 1:51Speaker 1: in like the thirties when I leave my house, no
- 1:53Speaker 1: matter what the temperature is.
- 1:54Speaker 3: So now you'll never go back.
- 1:55Speaker 2: I am never going back.
- 1:59Speaker 1: I will go out side to go to the bathroom
- 2:01Speaker 1: and embarrass myself in front of my neighbors before I
- 2:04Speaker 1: ever park outside in barga. I am never doing it.
- 2:07Speaker 1: I won't do it. So I will show up to
- 2:09Speaker 1: work here every single day to make sure I can
- 2:11Speaker 1: still afford that two car garage.
- 2:14Speaker 2: I just can't.
- 2:14Speaker 1: So funny, it's kind of like if you're a lady,
- 2:16Speaker 1: right and you date a dude who has his own car. Yeah,
- 2:19Speaker 1: you're never going You're never going back to like sadly
- 2:23Speaker 1: having to go out with some guy who has a scooter.
- 2:25Speaker 3: No, no, you want a car.
- 2:28Speaker 4: You know what though, for me, now that you mentioned it,
- 2:32Speaker 4: two bathrooms are busted. I cannot have a home with
- 2:37Speaker 4: only one bathroom.
- 2:38Speaker 3: It's me and three boys.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's true, you do need one.
- 2:44Speaker 3: I need my own.
- 2:45Speaker 2: I think that's fair.
- 2:46Speaker 1: And I did ask this question here and some of
- 2:49Speaker 1: these responses are great and very thoughtful and a little
- 2:52Speaker 1: less jokey than ours. Angieh. Having your own place. This
- 2:56Speaker 1: is from Melissa. She said having roommates can be a
- 2:59Speaker 1: nice way to save some money, but it's really hard
- 3:02Speaker 1: to go back once you've been able to afford your
- 3:05Speaker 1: own place. That is true when you can walk around
- 3:07Speaker 1: the house in your underwear, leave the dishes till the
- 3:10Speaker 1: next day, you know, you don't have to worry about
- 3:12Speaker 1: making your roommates mad if you're playing music at night
- 3:15Speaker 1: or whatever.
- 3:15Speaker 3: You know, I just realized I've never lived alone.
- 3:19Speaker 4: I went from my mom's house to being with my husband,
- 3:22Speaker 4: to then I had kids, and now Mike lives with me.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Wow. You're living a life Melissa that I don't know.
- 3:28Speaker 2: This is another fantastic one from Alex.
- 3:31Speaker 1: She said, keeping your house at a temperature that's comfortable,
- 3:35Speaker 1: so so cozy and warm in the winter and cool
- 3:38Speaker 1: in the summer. I feel like this is a dad
- 3:41Speaker 1: everyone has. Okay, you grew up in that house with
- 3:44Speaker 1: sixty six degrees in January, and you're asking dad, like
- 3:48Speaker 1: the little kid who wants some more porridge? Hey, can
- 3:50Speaker 1: I have samoa? But you're talking about heat in the house,
- 3:53Speaker 1: not cat. Gotta save some money, put on another jacket, son.
- 3:58Speaker 1: And then these are other great answers. Sit noise canceling
- 4:01Speaker 1: headphones for air travel business class on flights over eight hours.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Now, that is an answer.
- 4:07Speaker 4: I like, I've never been fancy enough to fly anywhere
- 4:10Speaker 4: that's eight hours.
- 4:11Speaker 2: I like that. All right, that's a great answer.
- 4:13Speaker 1: And then hiring movers, it does get to the point
- 4:16Speaker 1: where like, yeah, I'll get some pizza and beer, Like
- 4:18Speaker 1: isn't really gonna.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Be no, no, no, no no.
- 4:20Speaker 1: I'll help you move something, you know, I'll help you
- 4:23Speaker 1: with the couch or the or the stuff.
- 4:25Speaker 2: I don't know. I people really move stone.
- 4:27Speaker 4: Do you move your phone into your hands, so you
- 4:29Speaker 4: can call the movie.
- 4:30Speaker 2: That's right.
- 4:34Speaker 5: Celebrating life's little victories. Every morning we practice gratitude on
- 4:39Speaker 5: Big ninety eight point seven.
- 4:41Speaker 2: If I could, I.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Would keep this feeling in a basket job busted out
- 4:45Speaker 3: when it was someone's acting hard.
- 4:47Speaker 5: Sure your little victories with us at seven oh one
- 4:50Speaker 5: two eight oho one ninety eight seven.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Kids, I also needed to win that day, all right.
- 4:55Speaker 1: First and foremost, a big shout out this morning, Angie
- 4:57Speaker 1: to Bethany. Bethany for her, This is actually kind of
- 5:01Speaker 1: like a major victory, but we're gonna lump it.
- 5:03Speaker 3: We're gonna take all the victory.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Yeah, that's right. Any any victory is accepted.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Yes, she said, I scored an interview with a charitable
- 5:10Speaker 1: or organization that has been long near and dear to
- 5:15Speaker 1: me for a long time.
- 5:16Speaker 2: I'm so excited.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Oh this is great. Oh I hope she gets it.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Yeah, Bethany, text us back, what's the organization?
- 5:23Speaker 4: Yeah, give us a little give us the dates we
- 5:25Speaker 4: need the update when you land the job, because that's
- 5:27Speaker 4: what we're manifest that's right.
- 5:29Speaker 3: Then you text us back again, and your little victory
- 5:32Speaker 3: will be that you landed the job.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Heck, yeah, Angie, Do you have a little victory for
- 5:37Speaker 1: us today other than if you don't know this about
- 5:40Speaker 1: our near and deer Angie your internet famous. Oh my gosh, no,
- 5:44Speaker 1: ang is famous right now on the internet.
- 5:47Speaker 4: I posted a nostalgic reel on Instagram and it's kind
- 5:51Speaker 4: of like blown up a little bit, and I'm very surprised,
- 5:55Speaker 4: and so that's cool.
- 5:56Speaker 3: But that's not my little bit pretty sick, thank you, pretty.
- 6:00Speaker 3: I just feel weird like talking about that kind of stuff.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Wow, I'll do it for you.
- 6:04Speaker 4: But my real little victory is that I'm a bad
- 6:07Speaker 4: mom and I finally did something that I've been meaning
- 6:12Speaker 4: to do for a long time, and that's finding my
- 6:16Speaker 4: kids a pediatrician here in the FM area.
- 6:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I finally did. Yesterday. I took Aiden, the.
- 6:24Speaker 4: Older one, for his wellness check and everything is good
- 6:29Speaker 4: and he really likes his pediatrician, and so I check
- 6:34Speaker 4: that off the list of adult mom things I'm supposed
- 6:37Speaker 4: to do.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Well, there you go, a pediatrician. What do they do
- 6:42Speaker 1: at a wellness check? I need to learn?
- 6:44Speaker 4: Oh ah, they just well he's a teenager. He's fifteen,
- 6:48Speaker 4: so it's a little bit different than when you take
- 6:50Speaker 4: the baby for a check up.
- 6:51Speaker 2: No, I'm just talking kids in general.
- 6:53Speaker 3: Oh, they just do you know the steps?
- 6:57Speaker 4: And I asked them if anything is going on when
- 6:59Speaker 4: they're a teenager. There's this questionnaire that they have to
- 7:03Speaker 4: fill out that the kid fills out and then you
- 7:06Speaker 4: don't watch them fill it out because you don't want
- 7:07Speaker 4: to pressure them to have any you know, right, you
- 7:10Speaker 4: want him to answer truthful yes, exactly.
- 7:12Speaker 3: And so U how.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Nervous did that make you? I'm just kidding, do you
- 7:17Speaker 2: know why?
- 7:17Speaker 4: Aiden let me see the answers after And I was like,
- 7:20Speaker 4: I don't want to pressure you know whatever, And.
- 7:22Speaker 3: He's like, no, what do I care?
- 7:24Speaker 4: And so, you know, I saw the questionnaire and I'm like, oh,
- 7:27Speaker 4: you think you live a good life?
- 7:29Speaker 2: Okay, good, Yeah, there you go.
- 7:31Speaker 5: But we had a.
- 7:31Speaker 4: Blast actually, Like I feel like Aiden and I really
- 7:35Speaker 4: bonded during this pediatrician visit, Like we had such a
- 7:39Speaker 4: good time yesterday.
- 7:41Speaker 3: So I was very happy about that. What about you, Gabe,
- 7:44Speaker 3: what's your little victory?
- 7:45Speaker 2: That's very sweet.
- 7:46Speaker 1: So mother son bonding, We're out that here on big
- 7:48Speaker 1: ninety eight point seven.
- 7:50Speaker 2: My little victory last night?
- 7:52Speaker 1: I got myself, I tell you what, Right in the
- 7:55Speaker 1: mood for the Olympics. So okay, oh, I watched and
- 7:58Speaker 1: Netflix I think right now is kind of the crown
- 8:01Speaker 1: jewel for the most part when it comes to sports documentaries.
- 8:05Speaker 2: They do such a wonderful job.
- 8:06Speaker 1: But there is a really, really awesome documentary about the
- 8:11Speaker 1: nineteen eighty Olympic hockey team who took down the Soviets,
- 8:17Speaker 1: who was the greatest hockey team in the world.
- 8:19Speaker 3: Is this about what the movie Miracles?
- 8:21Speaker 1: Exactly exactly what it is. I want to watch this, Yeah, okay,
- 8:25Speaker 1: it's very cool. There's a ton of Minnesota references. They
- 8:29Speaker 1: talk to a player who went to the University of
- 8:31Speaker 1: North Dakota, like it's just a Midwest person's dream, and
- 8:35Speaker 1: or I guess if you live in Massachusetts, because there
- 8:37Speaker 1: was a lot of Boston guys.
- 8:38Speaker 2: On the team as well.
- 8:39Speaker 1: And it was wonderful and I could not be more
- 8:43Speaker 1: ready for the USA hockey team to walk into these
- 8:46Speaker 1: Olympics and take Canada and take their gold medal from
- 8:51Speaker 1: them and bring it back to the US. I do
- 8:55Speaker 1: this with a lot of sports right before the season.
- 8:57Speaker 1: I'll watch like a movie just to kind of get
- 8:59Speaker 1: in the in the mood for you know, I watch
- 9:01Speaker 1: remember the Titans before football every year.
- 9:04Speaker 3: Gabe, I really like this. This is really cool.
- 9:07Speaker 4: Okay, well, then I'm gonna watch it too. I want
- 9:09Speaker 4: to hide myself for the Olympics. They kick off on Friday, right.
- 9:12Speaker 1: That's right, February fifth, and uh before hockey starts.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Corey and I so wait, that's tomorrow. Yeah, oh so
- 9:20Speaker 3: not Friday.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Yeah, well maybe the ceremony is tomorrow.
- 9:25Speaker 2: Oh okay, the actual event. I'll have to double check.
- 9:28Speaker 2: But I'm get away.
- 9:28Speaker 3: Okay, I gotta watch. What is the documentary called.
- 9:31Speaker 2: That's a great question.
- 9:32Speaker 1: I actually don't remember now that I think it was
- 9:35Speaker 1: just one of the it's the Top ten or whatever. Yeah,
- 9:38Speaker 1: and I now I'm gonna watch begrudgingly. Corey will watch
- 9:43Speaker 1: it as well, because she couldn't care less, but she's
- 9:45Speaker 1: gonna watch. We're gonna watch Miracle as well, the movie,
- 9:48Speaker 1: and it was just such a good documentary. Highly recommended
- 9:52Speaker 1: for any hockey fan or just any one who wants to,
- 9:55Speaker 1: I don't know, get psyched up for the Olympics.
- 9:56Speaker 4: If you're gonna make Corey watch Miracle, then she should
- 9:59Speaker 4: make you watch Heated Rivalry.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Oh is that on HBO? I don't. We don't have that.
- 10:04Speaker 2: I don't. Well, yeah we do. It's probably mixed in
- 10:06Speaker 2: with Hulu.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I want any kind of hockey. I'm down here, yes, Angie,
- 10:13Speaker 1: to celebrate such a wonderful day of hitting thirty degrees.
- 10:17Speaker 2: I wanna. I got just a little brain teaser. I
- 10:20Speaker 2: want to play with you here today.
- 10:21Speaker 3: Why are you doing this to me? Why are you
- 10:23Speaker 3: making me use my brain more than I normally?
- 10:28Speaker 2: Because it's good for you?
- 10:29Speaker 1: Angka, Okay, I want you to try to do this
- 10:32Speaker 1: as fast as possible.
- 10:34Speaker 2: That's the that's kind of the caveat here.
- 10:36Speaker 3: This is a think fast situation.
- 10:38Speaker 4: Think fast, tell you right now, I'm gonna fail, all right,
- 10:41Speaker 4: I'm right.
- 10:42Speaker 2: I think you're gonna do wonderful. Okay.
- 10:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Give me three words to describe winter weather that start
- 10:50Speaker 1: with the letter B, blesstery, and bananas. Why was burr one?
- 11:02Speaker 1: I couldn't think of it. It's the most obvious one.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Oh my god, that counts as a word. Excellent, Sure, okay, Angie.
- 11:10Speaker 1: Something you mix into ice cream that starts with the
- 11:13Speaker 1: letter C fast, fast fast caramel, that's exactly right.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Okay.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Something you would notice on a person that starts with
- 11:21Speaker 1: the letter T teeth. That's a great one.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Okay.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Something at the doctor's office that starts with the letter B.
- 11:30Speaker 3: Oh, no, I'm not thinking fast here. That starts with
- 11:33Speaker 3: the letter B. Yeah, at the doctor's office.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Yep, how about I'll give you. I'll give you one
- 11:37Speaker 1: to get your brain gone. How about like a band aid.
- 11:40Speaker 3: Oh, that's the only one, the only thing.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Blood.
- 11:45Speaker 3: Oh.
- 11:46Speaker 4: I literally was just at the doctor's office and my
- 11:50Speaker 4: kid had blood drawn and I didn't think and they
- 11:52Speaker 4: gave him a band aid.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Wow.
- 11:53Speaker 3: Okay, I failed that one.
- 11:55Speaker 1: Okay, I got two more for you. This one should
- 11:57Speaker 1: be pretty easy. A topping for pizza that starts with
- 12:01Speaker 1: the letter.
- 12:01Speaker 4: P pineapple, and I don't want any pineapple hate. Okay,
- 12:06Speaker 4: pineapple belongs on pizza. So fun, I'll die on the hill.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Okay.
- 12:10Speaker 1: My last one for you. An animal at the zoo
- 12:13Speaker 1: that starts with the letter B.
- 12:15Speaker 5: Bird.
- 12:17Speaker 3: There's birds at the zoo.
- 12:19Speaker 1: Tons of birds. There's birds at the zoo that aren't
- 12:21Speaker 1: even zoo animals. Yeah, there eating all the popcorn that's
- 12:24Speaker 1: hanging out on the ground. Today's Variety Big ninety eight
- 12:30Speaker 1: point seven. It's Gabe and Angie Cloudy today and eventually
- 12:33Speaker 1: we get up to thirty degrees. Tonight that was Olivia
- 12:37Speaker 1: Dean Best New Artist in Well Deserving. So that's by far.
- 12:40Speaker 1: I think my favorite song every time it comes on,
- 12:43Speaker 1: I turn it every single time. And speaking of the Grammys,
- 12:50Speaker 1: Cher had a moment that, of course only Share could have,
- 12:54Speaker 1: even though things happen like this in award shows all
- 12:56Speaker 1: the time.
- 12:57Speaker 2: By now, I'm sure you've heard.
- 12:58Speaker 1: You know, she had an issue with announcing record of.
- 13:03Speaker 2: The Record of the Year, Thank you.
- 13:05Speaker 4: She said it was Luther Vandross, which it was not.
- 13:09Speaker 4: He been dead for a long time.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Kendrick Lamar.
- 13:12Speaker 3: Yes, but the song was Luther, So she's like one.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Of three years.
- 13:16Speaker 4: Yeah, but she actually wasn't embarrassed by it.
- 13:22Speaker 3: Of course she's not. She's Share.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Yeah, would she care?
- 13:24Speaker 3: Why would she care?
- 13:25Speaker 4: If that happened to a regular folk like you or
- 13:28Speaker 4: me or you listening, you'd probably be a bit embarrassed. Not.
- 13:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think it's that bad. I mean, when
- 13:35Speaker 1: you have a like a banger, you don't get embarrassed
- 13:41Speaker 1: when something goes wrong at the Granny.
- 13:43Speaker 4: I don't have a hit song, so I get embarrassed.
- 13:48Speaker 4: He's not easily, but yeah, do.
- 13:51Speaker 2: You is there something that has happened like that?
- 13:54Speaker 1: Have you?
- 13:54Speaker 2: Have you been publicly embarrassed like that?
- 13:56Speaker 4: Angie bruh, Yes, and let me tell you, yes, And
- 13:59Speaker 4: let me tell you what is today?
- 14:01Speaker 3: The fourth?
- 14:02Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 14:02Speaker 3: In twelve days?
- 14:04Speaker 4: No, I don't know how to math when is Valentine's Day?
- 14:08Speaker 3: Ten days?
- 14:09Speaker 2: In ten days, I was speaking of public embarrassed. That's
- 14:14Speaker 2: one of the easy numbers. And that was just ten.
- 14:18Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, I'm a disaster.
- 14:20Speaker 4: In ten days, it'll be the sixteenth anniversary of when
- 14:27Speaker 4: this public embarrassment happened. And I think sixteen years it's
- 14:31Speaker 4: a long time ago. Why are you still thinking about it?
- 14:33Speaker 1: We want to hear about your public embarrassment. By the way,
- 14:36Speaker 1: seven oh one two, eight zero one, nine eighty seven.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Don't you dare leave Angie on this island alone?
- 14:40Speaker 3: Oh my gosh.
- 14:41Speaker 4: Yes, Misery loves embarrassment loves company, That's right. So I
- 14:46Speaker 4: had gotten dressed to go out for Valentine's Day with
- 14:49Speaker 4: my then husband, and I was feeling a little insecure
- 14:54Speaker 4: when I got dressed because I had gained a few
- 14:57Speaker 4: happy pounds in the recent months.
- 15:01Speaker 2: It's called love weight.
- 15:02Speaker 3: Yeah, love weight.
- 15:03Speaker 2: You were just in love.
- 15:04Speaker 3: Yeah, love weight. So I had love handles, okay, And
- 15:08Speaker 3: I got dressed for.
- 15:09Speaker 4: This Valentine's Day and I wasn't feeling my best, but
- 15:11Speaker 4: you know, I was happy to be going out with
- 15:13Speaker 4: my man.
- 15:14Speaker 3: Yeah, And so we went out.
- 15:15Speaker 4: We went to get drinks at the casino and you know,
- 15:19Speaker 4: play some slots and whatever.
- 15:21Speaker 3: And as we're walking through holding hands.
- 15:25Speaker 4: I see a woman walking in the opposite direction and
- 15:28Speaker 4: we kind of make eye contact because I could tell
- 15:30Speaker 4: that she was like looking at me. And then we
- 15:33Speaker 4: passed each other. And so I'm walking a few more
- 15:36Speaker 4: steps with my guy, and all of a sudden, I
- 15:39Speaker 4: hear like a shuffling, like someone hurrying back to where
- 15:43Speaker 4: I was.
- 15:45Speaker 3: And she taps me on the shoulder.
- 15:46Speaker 4: I turn around and it's the lady who was looking
- 15:49Speaker 4: at me and made eye contact with me, and she
- 15:51Speaker 4: looked very concerned and with a sense of urgency. She
- 15:56Speaker 4: pulls my hand and she puts a card in it
- 16:00Speaker 4: and then kind of gives me this concerned nod and
- 16:03Speaker 4: walks away.
- 16:03Speaker 3: And I thought, what is this?
- 16:06Speaker 4: And I looked down at the card she placed in
- 16:08Speaker 4: my hand, and it was an ad for shapewear.
- 16:13Speaker 3: Oh, she saw me and thought this lumpy frumpy.
- 16:18Speaker 4: That she couldn't let it go. She watched past me
- 16:22Speaker 4: and thought, no, no.
- 16:26Speaker 6: She hands me and I'm looking at this card and
- 16:30Speaker 6: I don't care that he is my man, like that's embarrassing,
- 16:33Speaker 6: and I'm looking at it and he's like, what's that?
- 16:35Speaker 4: And I don't want to tell him, like, oh, this
- 16:36Speaker 4: woman saw me and thought, wow, she looks real bad.
- 16:39Speaker 4: You need shapewear. But I felt awful and I cried
- 16:45Speaker 4: like it was not yep, I'm sorry that happened to you, Angie.
- 16:49Speaker 3: I mean, she wasn't wrong, but like, girl, mind.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Your business, Garlett, can you help out? Angie?
- 16:55Speaker 1: Here?
- 16:55Speaker 2: What happened to you? Walking onto a stage trying to
- 16:58Speaker 2: play it cool?
- 16:59Speaker 3: And then I tripped again on the way to my seat.
- 17:02Speaker 3: The applause felt not supported.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Nothing more embarrassing than trying to get up in front
- 17:07Speaker 1: of people and falling over. You know who knows a
- 17:09Speaker 1: lot about that, Jennifer Lawrence. Oh, she falls all the time,
- 17:14Speaker 1: so scart.
- 17:15Speaker 4: Always when she's accepting an oscar, so like it's fine.
- 17:18Speaker 2: They cancel each other out.
- 17:20Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Now I have a lot of nieces. Well, actually I
- 17:29Speaker 1: mostly have just nephews. I only have a couple of
- 17:32Speaker 1: nieces a lot of boys in the Corey and Gabe
- 17:35Speaker 1: family here, and one of my nephews, whom I love
- 17:38Speaker 1: with my entire heart, is very sweet, sweet young man.
- 17:41Speaker 1: He sadly had a report card recently that had his
- 17:45Speaker 1: mother my sister in law, in a tizzy. All right,
- 17:49Speaker 1: a report card was fair for the most part, solid,
- 17:51Speaker 1: you know, very good, okay, but there's a little comment
- 17:54Speaker 1: in there that felt all too close to home for me,
- 17:58Speaker 1: as my nephew sometimes is a little talkative and disruptive
- 18:03Speaker 1: in class.
- 18:04Speaker 3: So talkative and disrupt.
- 18:06Speaker 1: Was something I saw, I am not kidding you on
- 18:10Speaker 1: every report card from kindergarten to eighth grade, obviously, And
- 18:16Speaker 1: so I'm sitting there talking to my sister on the line,
- 18:19Speaker 1: Well he'll be fine, Licole, I turned out, Oh god, no,
- 18:24Speaker 1: that was not the right thing to say at all.
- 18:27Speaker 1: And I wanted to know so I can pass this
- 18:30Speaker 1: news on to my sister in law. If you had
- 18:32Speaker 1: an elementary report card that said talk too much in class?
- 18:38Speaker 1: What do you do for a living? Is my nephew
- 18:41Speaker 1: still destined for greatness? I need something to pass along
- 18:46Speaker 1: to her, Okay? I asked this on Facebook. And there
- 18:49Speaker 1: are a lot of people who are talking a little
- 18:52Speaker 1: too much in class. And you know what's so strange
- 18:54Speaker 1: about it, so many of them have gone on to
- 18:58Speaker 1: be teachers. Emily ironically a teacher, Jessica a teacher. We
- 19:04Speaker 1: also had Robin a teacher, Kendra teacher. This person works
- 19:08Speaker 1: in elementary special education.
- 19:10Speaker 4: Okay, this is talking is important communications, that's what it is.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Yeah, Laura also a teacher and a counselor. There are
- 19:21Speaker 1: a lot of teachers who are a little disruptive in
- 19:23Speaker 1: elementary school class.
- 19:25Speaker 2: It sounds like when they were growing up.
- 19:26Speaker 3: I love this.
- 19:27Speaker 4: I feel like this is excellent news to deliver to
- 19:29Speaker 4: your sister in law.
- 19:31Speaker 3: By the way, I also had talks too much on
- 19:34Speaker 3: a few report cards.
- 19:35Speaker 2: I would assume that would be a safe bet. Yeh.
- 19:37Speaker 3: Yeah, and I have the same profession as you.
- 19:39Speaker 4: I don't like that your sister in laws discounting radio personnelity.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, you could go on to change the world.
- 19:48Speaker 1: Seventh point one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 19:51Speaker 1: If you ever had talks too much on a report card,
- 19:55Speaker 1: what do you do for a living?
- 19:56Speaker 2: Now?
- 19:56Speaker 1: There are some people who are not teachers of go
- 20:00Speaker 1: in the comments. What an overwhelming amount of people go
- 20:03Speaker 1: and you know, talk or communicate for a living, which
- 20:07Speaker 1: is kind of funny.
- 20:08Speaker 4: My high school boyfriend Riley Berry would net. I mean,
- 20:12Speaker 4: this man would never shut up and it was always
- 20:16Speaker 4: some Well, let me be devil's advocate.
- 20:19Speaker 3: Nobody cares except for now. He's a lawyer.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Really yeah, it's quite literally his job to be an advocate.
- 20:28Speaker 2: Yeah, and the devil this is am I the problem?
- 20:37Speaker 2: It's the problem?
- 20:41Speaker 3: It's me.
- 20:41Speaker 2: We'll hear one side of the story and with your help,
- 20:44Speaker 2: am I the problem with?
- 20:45Speaker 5: You? Decide if it's right or if maybe you're the problem.
- 20:49Speaker 1: I'm hardly the problem.
- 20:50Speaker 5: On Big ninety eight point seven.
- 20:53Speaker 4: Matt wrote into us and he gets straight to the point.
- 20:56Speaker 3: Hi, Gabe and Angie, here's the situation.
- 21:00Speaker 4: I went on a third date with someone I'm really
- 21:02Speaker 4: into and she mentioned that she's in therapy and has
- 21:05Speaker 4: been for seven years. She said she started after college
- 21:08Speaker 4: because she felt overwhelmed after graduation.
- 21:11Speaker 3: I didn't say anything to her on the date, but I.
- 21:14Speaker 4: Was thinking about it after and that doesn't and doesn't
- 21:18Speaker 4: that seem like a little much that she's still in therapy. No, offense,
- 21:22Speaker 4: but it makes me worry. She's crazy, my sister. My
- 21:26Speaker 4: sister says it's a green flag that she is constantly
- 21:30Speaker 4: working on bettering herself.
- 21:32Speaker 3: I guess I can see that. But after seven years, haven't.
- 21:34Speaker 4: You learned everything you could learn unless you really got problems?
- 21:39Speaker 3: What do you guys think, Matt?
- 21:44Speaker 2: What do you think?
- 21:45Speaker 4: Seven on one, two, eight on one, nine eight seven.
- 21:47Speaker 4: Give us a call, give us a text. We also
- 21:49Speaker 4: have this up on the Big ninety eight point seven
- 21:50Speaker 4: Facebook page. I think Matt doesn't know anything about therapy
- 21:56Speaker 4: at all, other than like therapy is a thing. I
- 22:00Speaker 4: think that's where the issue lies. I don't think it's
- 22:05Speaker 4: a red flag.
- 22:06Speaker 3: That she is in therapy, even if it's.
- 22:08Speaker 4: Been for seven years. I think, like his sister said,
- 22:11Speaker 4: I think that's a green flag, right I what are
- 22:15Speaker 4: your thoughts on that? I want the guys perspective, actually,
- 22:18Speaker 4: because I feel like generally I feel like the girlies
- 22:22Speaker 4: are more open and into therapy than men.
- 22:26Speaker 1: Dude sit in a garage and singing Creed songs while
- 22:28Speaker 1: chugging bush lights.
- 22:29Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 22:30Speaker 3: That's worse.
- 22:31Speaker 1: That's our therapy right there, I will I will say
- 22:35Speaker 1: seven years Matt might be onto something. Maybe she's learned
- 22:38Speaker 1: a lot of skills and tools that can help her,
- 22:41Speaker 1: you know, navigate through life, which is very hard for
- 22:44Speaker 1: a lot of people.
- 22:46Speaker 2: With seven years.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Maybe at this point she just really likes having someone
- 22:49Speaker 1: to talk to, all right. Maybe she doesn't necessarily even
- 22:52Speaker 1: go there to learn things. Maybe she just wants to
- 22:54Speaker 1: go at this point to vent or get things off
- 22:56Speaker 1: her chest, or talk to someone she can trust that
- 22:59Speaker 1: isn't a family member that's gonna give her real advice,
- 23:02Speaker 1: who knows going to therapy for that, Not that there's
- 23:05Speaker 1: any amount of time to go to therapy right right,
- 23:07Speaker 1: but going for that long, maybe it just really helps
- 23:09Speaker 1: her navigate problems in a more in a way that
- 23:14Speaker 1: she can handle it better, you know what I mean.
- 23:16Speaker 1: It doesn't have to be I'm trying to I'm trying
- 23:18Speaker 1: to better myself or fix myself. Maybe it's, hey, I
- 23:21Speaker 1: treat this as almost like going to the gym.
- 23:23Speaker 2: You know, you got to go.
- 23:24Speaker 1: To the gym, Yeah, for the gym to keep your
- 23:26Speaker 1: keep your you know, your fitness up.
- 23:28Speaker 2: Maybe she goes.
- 23:28Speaker 1: There to keep her mental That is something she's willing
- 23:32Speaker 1: to obviously pay for, and it just helps her navigate life.
- 23:36Speaker 2: I don't see anything wrong with that. You do what
- 23:39Speaker 2: you gotta do.
- 23:39Speaker 1: My wife is a social worker who deals with people
- 23:41Speaker 1: who uh, you know, could use, do use, or need
- 23:46Speaker 1: to use therapy. So there's never gonna be anything negative
- 23:49Speaker 1: about that coming from me.
- 23:50Speaker 3: Oh, I love that you're on the therapy train.
- 23:53Speaker 4: You know what. Also, I'm not gonna lie to you, Matt.
- 23:57Speaker 4: If she can afford therapy for the last seven and yees,
- 24:00Speaker 4: she got money, Honey, you better hang on.
- 24:03Speaker 1: Yeah, she can afford therapy. That means you guys are
- 24:06Speaker 1: getting appetizers when you go out to eat two eight
- 24:10Speaker 1: zero one nine eight seven. If you had any advice
- 24:13Speaker 1: for Matt, what would it be this morning?
- 24:21Speaker 4: On the problem is Matt is stating a girl that
- 24:25Speaker 4: he really likes, but she's been in therapy for seven years,
- 24:29Speaker 4: and he considers.
- 24:31Speaker 3: That a red flag.
- 24:33Speaker 4: But he wants to know if he's the problem for
- 24:35Speaker 4: thinking that it's a red flag.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Yeah, I do want to try to maybe defend and
- 24:38Speaker 1: save my boy Matt a little bit.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Right.
- 24:41Speaker 1: Maybe what he did not convey in this email very
- 24:46Speaker 1: well is maybe he's thinking, like, oh, she has a
- 24:49Speaker 1: lot on her plate right now. Maybe a relationship isn't
- 24:52Speaker 1: the best thing to pursue at this moment.
- 24:55Speaker 2: Maybe hopefully that kind of what you mean.
- 24:57Speaker 4: Well, I we only have the words he wrote into us. Okay,
- 25:01Speaker 4: We're so sorry.
- 25:02Speaker 3: It's matter.
- 25:04Speaker 4: We posted this on the Big ninety eight point seven
- 25:06Speaker 4: facebook page. Also, if you want to chime in, you
- 25:09Speaker 4: can text us or call us seven on one two
- 25:11Speaker 4: eight on one nine eight seven.
- 25:12Speaker 3: What are the people saying about.
- 25:14Speaker 1: Matt Amanda said, this is a green flag that she
- 25:17Speaker 1: can recognize she needs and seeks help.
- 25:20Speaker 2: She's not crazy, she's evolving.
- 25:22Speaker 3: I like that. That makes sense to me.
- 25:25Speaker 1: Now we do have someone on the other side of this, Angie.
- 25:27Speaker 1: This would be Larissa. She said, therapy isn't mental ass forever.
- 25:31Speaker 1: It's supposed to be temporary. I feel that's a bit
- 25:33Speaker 1: too long as well. So this isn't quite clear cut
- 25:38Speaker 1: and dry as it might say.
- 25:39Speaker 4: I really thought all the ladies were gonna be on
- 25:41Speaker 4: the side of yes, therapy. Interesting Larissa, Well, I did
- 25:45Speaker 4: like this take. Daniellea said that she thinks that people's
- 25:50Speaker 4: jobs think first responders, doctors, nurses, et cetera, can create
- 25:54Speaker 4: different traumatic events that need to be processed and talked
- 25:58Speaker 4: about in a productive way so that they don't manifest
- 26:02Speaker 4: into something like PTSD. Think of it like being proactive. Yeah, okay, met, Matt,
- 26:08Speaker 4: do you even know what this girl does for a living.
- 26:11Speaker 4: If she's like a nurse or a doctor first responded,
- 26:15Speaker 4: Those jobs I think have a higher, you know, risk
- 26:18Speaker 4: for trauma to occur.
- 26:21Speaker 3: And I think it makes sense to be in therapy.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Yeah, and going for seven years? Like, what does that
- 26:26Speaker 1: necessarily mean? Does that like if she's going every single
- 26:31Speaker 1: day for seven years, or maybe it's like, you know,
- 26:33Speaker 1: once a month, or she takes a couple of months off.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Maybe it's like an often on situation. You know, it
- 26:38Speaker 1: could be a fluid moving thing. It doesn't mean yep
- 26:42Speaker 1: at three every single day, I have this appointment blob,
- 26:45Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Matt.
- 26:46Speaker 4: I think I would encourage you to inquire more about
- 26:51Speaker 4: what her therapy looks like. She might even ask you
- 26:54Speaker 4: to go to couple's therapy.
- 26:55Speaker 3: Because maybe you're being a little too.
- 26:59Speaker 2: Much, sir. I haven't been able to say that in
- 27:03Speaker 2: quite some time.
- 27:04Speaker 1: Tomorrow might be one of those days you want to
- 27:06Speaker 1: live over and over and over. When we hit forty
- 27:10Speaker 1: in February, yes, the Groundhog's Day was this past week.
- 27:14Speaker 1: Obviously you know that by now you know that punk
- 27:16Speaker 1: Satani Phil saw the shadow we get a long winter.
- 27:20Speaker 1: But he's wrong a lot. All right, we're gonna call
- 27:23Speaker 1: it the Spain of Spade Angie. The movie Groundhogs Day
- 27:27Speaker 1: boosted popularity of said holiday with good old punk Satani Phil.
- 27:32Speaker 1: And if you're unaware of the movie, you know, and
- 27:34Speaker 1: you know horrible explanations basically about just reliving the same
- 27:37Speaker 1: day over and over. Essentially, Yeah, what day in your
- 27:41Speaker 1: life would you choose to relive over and over and
- 27:45Speaker 1: over if you could?
- 27:47Speaker 3: Okay?
- 27:48Speaker 1: I And also you can answer this for us, by
- 27:51Speaker 1: the way, seven one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 27:53Speaker 3: I was thinking about it.
- 27:54Speaker 4: There were two days that came to mind, and I
- 27:57Speaker 4: think I'm gonna go with because we're close to Valentine's Day,
- 28:03Speaker 4: I think I'm gonna go with the day that I
- 28:07Speaker 4: met my now boyfriend Mikey, because I didn't meet him.
- 28:13Speaker 4: The day that we met wasn't the day that we like,
- 28:16Speaker 4: you know, became an item.
- 28:18Speaker 3: It wasn't a date.
- 28:19Speaker 4: We just met that day he was my should I
- 28:23Speaker 4: just okay, I'll make this the abridged version. He was
- 28:26Speaker 4: my teacher when I was in third grade, and then
- 28:28Speaker 4: I never saw him again for twenty six years. But
- 28:31Speaker 4: then I wanted to find him via.
- 28:33Speaker 2: Social media, yeah, a.
- 28:35Speaker 4: Social media to bank him for being my favorite teacher
- 28:38Speaker 4: in the land.
- 28:39Speaker 3: So we had.
- 28:40Speaker 4: Decided to meet up at a coffee.
- 28:43Speaker 3: Shop, and so we did.
- 28:44Speaker 4: And so that day when we met at the coffee shop,
- 28:48Speaker 4: we just had such a nice, wholesome reunion and it
- 28:51Speaker 4: was such a delight. And then from there I went
- 28:54Speaker 4: and met up with my sister and my girlfriends and
- 28:57Speaker 4: we had brunch. And then from there I went to
- 28:59Speaker 4: my mom's house and I spent just the rest of
- 29:02Speaker 4: the evening with her and she made me a home
- 29:04Speaker 4: cooked meal.
- 29:05Speaker 3: I was on vacation from work, and it was great.
- 29:08Speaker 4: And then I woke up the next day and got
- 29:10Speaker 4: on a plane and went back to where I lived.
- 29:13Speaker 4: So if I just woke up and didn't have to
- 29:16Speaker 4: get on a plane and go back to where I lived,
- 29:18Speaker 4: I would wake up, meet Mikey again, have brunch with
- 29:22Speaker 4: my sister, hang out with my mom. If I could
- 29:24Speaker 4: relive that day over and over, that would be magical.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Yeah, that'd be wonderful. Yeah, that's a great choice. Mine
- 29:32Speaker 1: is hands down. September thirtieth of twenty twenty three. That
- 29:37Speaker 1: was the day that your boy got married as forever
- 29:42Speaker 1: one of the most fun, loving, exciting days of all time.
- 29:49Speaker 1: It was so cool and the day went off without
- 29:52Speaker 1: a hitch as far as I'm aware. There were no
- 29:54Speaker 1: problems at our wedding, or if there was, thank god,
- 29:58Speaker 1: our guest did a great job and not let me
- 30:00Speaker 1: know about it or Corey know about it. And it
- 30:03Speaker 1: was just so fun and one of on that day.
- 30:07Speaker 1: I did not really drink a ton at my wedding.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Obviously I had some beers with the boys or whatever,
- 30:11Speaker 1: but yeah, I did not, you know, really go all
- 30:14Speaker 1: out on the drinking because I wanted to remember the
- 30:17Speaker 1: day and I stuck to that, and I did pretty
- 30:20Speaker 1: well because I was kind of scarred growing up, you know,
- 30:22Speaker 1: I saw cousins or as I got older friends who
- 30:25Speaker 1: had got married, and it definitely hit the sauce a
- 30:28Speaker 1: little bit hard, and I'm like, oh man, this fun,
- 30:30Speaker 1: exciting day was kind of ruined by you puken in
- 30:32Speaker 1: the bathroom before you get up to the And I said,
- 30:35Speaker 1: I don't want to, I don't want my wedding day
- 30:37Speaker 1: to be like that, and to this day it was
- 30:39Speaker 1: still by far the most fun thing of all time.
- 30:43Speaker 1: If the Vikes go on next year to win the
- 30:45Speaker 1: Super Bowl, wow, I'll still have the same answer for
- 30:48Speaker 1: you this year that wedding day was.
- 30:50Speaker 2: It was so much fun.
- 30:52Speaker 1: I would do that over and over and over. A
- 30:55Speaker 1: close second would be just kind of my bachelor party
- 30:58Speaker 1: all group did to one because yeah, one there was
- 31:00Speaker 1: a lot of debauchery.
- 31:01Speaker 2: Okay, and there are chunks of that I probably don't remember. Well.
- 31:04Speaker 4: You know what I love, Gabe. I love this version
- 31:07Speaker 4: of you, Gabe, the loving, sweet guy who just loves
- 31:12Speaker 4: his wedding and wanted to make sure that he remembered
- 31:15Speaker 4: everything from his wedding day.
- 31:17Speaker 3: I like this.
- 31:18Speaker 2: This is the version I give you every day, Angie.
- 31:20Speaker 3: Sorry you do.
- 31:28Speaker 5: Starting off the day with something good.
- 31:30Speaker 2: This is Gabe's good News.
- 31:32Speaker 5: On Big ninety eight point seven.
- 31:36Speaker 1: A ninety six year old grandmother is helping cook up
- 31:39Speaker 1: tradition at Sliced Bakeshop and Luncheonette in South Fargo. Every Tuesday,
- 31:45Speaker 1: Mary Anne visits her granddaughter's bakery to make Nephla soup
- 31:51Speaker 1: using simple garden grown ingredients that she learned from her mother.
- 31:56Speaker 3: We're gonna have nephlas soup today.
- 31:58Speaker 6: My mother never never having learned to read or write
- 32:04Speaker 6: any language, but she could cook.
- 32:06Speaker 2: I'm ninety six. I don't remember, and I have to
- 32:11Speaker 2: look the recipe in order to make sure I don't
- 32:14Speaker 2: miss anything.
- 32:15Speaker 1: She still lives independently, mary Anne, and she gardens. She
- 32:19Speaker 1: comes from a hard working immigrant family that spent decade
- 32:22Speaker 1: and she spent excuse me decades as a foster parent,
- 32:25Speaker 1: caring for more than three hundred children. She said she
- 32:28Speaker 1: enjoys being around people and sharing her love of cooking.
- 32:32Speaker 2: Ninety six and still getting after it.
- 32:34Speaker 1: She does keep that recipe close though, And you know what,
- 32:36Speaker 1: I would too, because my memory stinks.
- 32:38Speaker 3: Yeah. Shea battie. I love her. This is amazing.
- 32:42Speaker 1: And you know the old saying the world is full
- 32:44Speaker 1: of nice people. If you can't find one, you gotta
- 32:47Speaker 1: be one.
