- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, everybody, this is Adam, host of this podcast. Don't
- 0:05Speaker 1: skip this. It's not an ad just dropping in to
- 0:07Speaker 1: let you know. This episode was originally recorded and released
- 0:11Speaker 1: way back in July of twenty eighteen. It's the second
- 0:15Speaker 1: part of our two part series about the various conspiracy
- 0:20Speaker 1: theories surrounding NBA legend Michael Jordan. Back when it first
- 0:24Speaker 1: came out, it was for subscribers only, but against all odds,
- 0:29Speaker 1: there's been lots of Michael Jordan news in the years
- 0:32Speaker 1: since this was released, to the point that it's more
- 0:35Speaker 1: relevant now than it was back then, especially if you,
- 0:39Speaker 1: like most of America, watched the critically beloved Chicago Bulls
- 0:44Speaker 1: documentary The Last Dance back in the early months of
- 0:48Speaker 1: the COVID lockdowns. If you haven't, I can't recommend it
- 0:51Speaker 1: highly enough. It brings up some of the things we
- 0:54Speaker 1: talked about on these two Jordan episodes, but we also
- 0:57Speaker 1: cover a few things that they do not. I mean,
- 1:00Speaker 1: it's not like The Last Dance was a conspiracy documentary
- 1:04Speaker 1: or anything, so that's not unusual. I guess if you're
- 1:08Speaker 1: a Patreon or Supercast subscriber, chances are you've already heard
- 1:12Speaker 1: this episode, so to make it worth your while. Again,
- 1:16Speaker 1: whenever you hear this sound, that means some last dance
- 1:22Speaker 1: related updates are headed your way. But no matter where
- 1:25Speaker 1: you're listening, we do thank you kindly for doing so.
- 1:28Speaker 1: We hope you enjoy this episode. Thanks, we love you.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Let's get to its Welcome to Conspiracy the Show with
- 1:45Speaker 1: your hosts Adam Todd Brown and Connor mispatn Hey everybody, Hey,
- 2:02Speaker 1: welcome to Conspiracy the Show. A Patreon only episode. This
- 2:08Speaker 1: is your Patreon dollars hard at work. I'm Adam Todd Brown.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Who are you. I'm Adam Ganser, Adam Ganzer. Back for
- 2:17Speaker 1: a second week. Thank you so much. We're rounding home
- 2:21Speaker 1: on our Michael Jordan Conspiracies. I mean, we really can
- 2:24Speaker 1: take this out for a couple of spins. I think, yeah,
- 2:28Speaker 1: this probably could be a could be a whole podcast. Yeah,
- 2:32Speaker 1: we're finishing up Michael Jordan Conspiracies and this is the
- 2:36Speaker 1: end of sports month on Conspiracy the Show. I think
- 2:39Speaker 1: Connor should be back next week. I don't know what
- 2:42Speaker 1: we'll be talking about though, sure, but I'll check in
- 2:45Speaker 1: and find out, Yeah, find out what that turned out
- 2:47Speaker 1: to be. So the Jordan Conspiracies this episode at least
- 2:52Speaker 1: don't involve murder. They don't involve killing a human being. Sure,
- 2:57Speaker 1: there's a murder of sorts, yeah, you know, the attempt
- 3:01Speaker 1: to murder other people's careers. Yeah, you know, there was
- 3:04Speaker 1: definitely that for sure. And murdering basically, he's like, murdering
- 3:08Speaker 1: teams is what he's doing. Now he's moving round to that. Yeah,
- 3:12Speaker 1: I should point people to I meant to do this
- 3:15Speaker 1: last episode. We've been talking about Mike Korzemba a whole
- 3:19Speaker 1: bunch and he is, like I said, YouTube's premier basketball
- 3:24Speaker 1: conspiracy theorist. And if you want to read more about
- 3:28Speaker 1: that guy, like in addition to going out to his
- 3:31Speaker 1: YouTube page, which you should do, there's some interesting videos
- 3:33Speaker 1: out there. Sure. There's also a profile of him in
- 3:36Speaker 1: The New Yorker called The Truth Is out There NBA
- 3:40Speaker 1: Conspiracy Theories on YouTube, written by Michael Aeger. Did you
- 3:44Speaker 1: read this article? I did read it. What'd you think
- 3:46Speaker 1: of the tone of it? I thought it was New
- 3:48Speaker 1: Yorker trying to be blogger? Yeah, you know what I mean.
- 3:51Speaker 1: I mean every time The New Yorker writes something that's
- 3:54Speaker 1: attempting to be zeitgeisty and not attempting to be high
- 3:58Speaker 1: art or high intellectual. It feels a little forced. This
- 4:01Speaker 1: feel forced to me, but not awful. This it wasn't awful,
- 4:06Speaker 1: but I felt like the writer feels this obligation to
- 4:10Speaker 1: kind of be mocking in his tone A little bit
- 4:12Speaker 1: sure toward this page just because it's a conspiracy thing.
- 4:16Speaker 1: But a lot of these conspiracies on this guy's page
- 4:20Speaker 1: are pretty plausible. The David Stern or the NBA rigging
- 4:25Speaker 1: the eighty five draft lottery. That's not this guy's conspiracy.
- 4:29Speaker 1: It's been around for a while, but his video about
- 4:31Speaker 1: it is probably the best representation of that theory. I
- 4:36Speaker 1: think it's weird for the New Yorker to sort of
- 4:40Speaker 1: try to be both things. They're trying to be above
- 4:43Speaker 1: the pop culture fray. The'se like sort of you know,
- 4:46Speaker 1: taking a survey from a from the high Ivory Tower
- 4:50Speaker 1: and then also want to be in the mix, right,
- 4:53Speaker 1: And it's like, well, you can't get into conspiracy video
- 4:56Speaker 1: stuff and not enjoy the topic. And you're the New
- 5:00Speaker 1: New York couldn't you have reached this guy for a
- 5:02Speaker 1: comment or an interview? Yeah? Why they just why are
- 5:05Speaker 1: they summarizing a YouTube page. Yeah, yeah, just like link it. Yeah,
- 5:10Speaker 1: you know, you know what I mean, like or I
- 5:11Speaker 1: don't know. I don't know what the New Yorker does
- 5:14Speaker 1: to cover YouTube. Yeah, that's kind of a mysterious thing
- 5:18Speaker 1: to me, Like like you may not know this, but
- 5:20Speaker 1: we did that series at Crack that got written up
- 5:22Speaker 1: by the New York Times, and I was surprised the
- 5:25Speaker 1: New York Times even covered the internet. This is like,
- 5:28Speaker 1: oh yeah fourteen because they don't know how to do
- 5:30Speaker 1: it well. It's like really clumsy, right, you know, And
- 5:33Speaker 1: I think this is another example of that. Yeah, I
- 5:35Speaker 1: would agree with that. Yeah, but it's I mean still
- 5:39Speaker 1: it's a profile of this guy. And uh, I think
- 5:42Speaker 1: he makes decent videos. We're going to talk about another
- 5:45Speaker 1: one at the end of this episode, which blows my
- 5:47Speaker 1: fucking mind. I think this guy is really good at
- 5:50Speaker 1: laying out facts and like making it fun. Yeah, he
- 5:55Speaker 1: looks like he's shooting. As you said, he looks like
- 5:58Speaker 1: he's shooting in his mother's basement. Every time. Yeah, it's
- 6:01Speaker 1: there's always different backdrop, but every time it just looks like, okay,
- 6:05Speaker 1: so you're home. We get that right recording into his
- 6:08Speaker 1: like you can might hang something behind you or anything right,
- 6:12Speaker 1: like yeah, tapestry or something or center up. He's like
- 6:16Speaker 1: all frame, You're like, what are you doing? Man? Get
- 6:19Speaker 1: your eyes in front of the Sometimes you see the microphone,
- 6:21Speaker 1: sometimes you don't. And he gets louder and more aggressive
- 6:26Speaker 1: as videos go on. This some really bad edits too. Yeah,
- 6:30Speaker 1: Like he'll be in the middle of a sentence and
- 6:32Speaker 1: just like then suddenly he's like in the middle of
- 6:34Speaker 1: another one and you're like yeah, or his tone of
- 6:36Speaker 1: voice will change from section to section. Yes, but still
- 6:41Speaker 1: he does a good job of laying out the infrat
- 6:44Speaker 1: and go out and read that profile of my core Zemba.
- 6:47Speaker 1: If you're that fucking board. Yeah, I don't think it's
- 6:51Speaker 1: gonna do. It isn't gonna kill you. I am a
- 6:53Speaker 1: little bit bummed to see that he's advancing in production value. Yeah,
- 6:58Speaker 1: I want it. I like that. It's this like sort
- 7:00Speaker 1: of cute boutique thing and he's got a store now
- 7:04Speaker 1: where he's sells I don't like that shirt. I've set
- 7:08Speaker 1: the video so when we started playing it, it would
- 7:10Speaker 1: play after the minute. In twenty seconds, he spends shilling
- 7:16Speaker 1: his new T shirts, which say something like fear is
- 7:19Speaker 1: the enemy or something. It's like, what can it? Can
- 7:24Speaker 1: it say Jordan was suspended? I would buy that shirt?
- 7:28Speaker 1: What the fuck? Yeah, they get me a drug kingpin
- 7:32Speaker 1: murdered James Jordan T shirt with a Jordan crying face meme.
- 7:36Speaker 1: That's what That's what it had to be. Come on,
- 7:40Speaker 1: that would be great you. I would wear that shirt
- 7:42Speaker 1: right now. I would mean absolutely anytime I can wear
- 7:47Speaker 1: that crying face meme. That is like one of the
- 7:49Speaker 1: great crying I don't even remember. I think it might
- 7:53Speaker 1: have been like Hall of Fame speech in for his
- 7:56Speaker 1: college or something. Yeah, it might have been, but it's
- 7:59Speaker 1: like it'll never get old. It's the best thing ever.
- 8:03Speaker 1: I like when Jordan had a Hitler mustache for a while,
- 8:05Speaker 1: just come to Hanley on Ironic Just yeah, why, yeah,
- 8:10Speaker 1: this will be a good look on me. Like yeah,
- 8:12Speaker 1: in a Haynes commercial, No one at Haynes was like, hey, Champ,
- 8:16Speaker 1: how about you uh do away with the the Hitler
- 8:19Speaker 1: on your life. You know, there's like seventy people that
- 8:22Speaker 1: it saw that before it got out to the public.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Oh yeah, absolutely, all of whom had this conversation in
- 8:28Speaker 1: their mind, right, should we do something? And they're like, now,
- 8:31Speaker 1: someone's gonna say something at some point, right, and Charlie
- 8:35Speaker 1: you know or whoever. Yeah. So the first conspiracies we're
- 8:39Speaker 1: going to talk about, though, come from an article on
- 8:44Speaker 1: cheat sheet dot com which lays out a few I
- 8:48Speaker 1: hadn't actually seen anywhere else. And who the fuck wrote
- 8:53Speaker 1: this or Ryan Davis? Ryan Davis The five biggest conspiracy
- 8:57Speaker 1: theories surrounding Michael Jordan. I enjoyed this one a lot. Yeah,
- 9:01Speaker 1: he he goes through. The two big ones are on here,
- 9:04Speaker 1: but there's there's three that I want to discuss. Sure.
- 9:08Speaker 1: The first one Jordan kept free agents from signing with
- 9:12Speaker 1: the Bulls. Sure after he retired and during the and
- 9:16Speaker 1: during his time in the Bulls with the Bulls oh right, yeah,
- 9:19Speaker 1: like he kept them from trading away Pippen is like
- 9:22Speaker 1: one of the big rumors. Yeah, which he should like, Yeah,
- 9:26Speaker 1: he should keep them somebody other than Scottie Pippen. Yeah,
- 9:30Speaker 1: that one that would have been crazy, right, But I
- 9:34Speaker 1: feel like the idea that he would have and the
- 9:38Speaker 1: thinking behind this one is just that he was like
- 9:41Speaker 1: reaching out to people and saying, hey, don't sign with
- 9:43Speaker 1: the Bulls. Sure, And they don't really go into detail
- 9:46Speaker 1: as to whether he was like saying bad things about
- 9:50Speaker 1: the Bulls to keep people from signing, or if he
- 9:53Speaker 1: was just saying, hey, as a friend, do me a
- 9:56Speaker 1: favor and don't go help the Bulls keep winning. There
- 9:59Speaker 1: wasn't a lot of of like evidence for this other right,
- 10:02Speaker 1: It was like word round the campfire is yeah, and
- 10:06Speaker 1: just kind of circumstantial. Like in two thousand there were
- 10:09Speaker 1: It was Tracy McGrady, Tim duncan, and two like two
- 10:14Speaker 1: other really high HILLI yeah, Grant Hill, and I think
- 10:18Speaker 1: those are the three big ones that I remember. Yeah,
- 10:20Speaker 1: and oh and Eddie Jones and Eddie Jones Jones Sure
- 10:23Speaker 1: he actually signed to sign with the Bulls and then
- 10:26Speaker 1: rescinded and went to the Miami Heat. It's like only
- 10:30Speaker 1: only two of those guys really mattered, right, you know,
- 10:35Speaker 1: like Tim duncan that would have been a major, Yeah,
- 10:37Speaker 1: And Tracy mcgra and his career Hill. You know, Hill
- 10:43Speaker 1: had a broken ankle for eighty eight percent of his career.
- 10:46Speaker 1: It was insane. You know. He was able to shoot
- 10:49Speaker 1: those Sprite commercials, but otherwise I don't know. Yeah, and
- 10:52Speaker 1: he played a long time he did, which is to
- 10:55Speaker 1: think I guess that's just a testament to how good
- 10:57Speaker 1: of a player he was. His numbers are surprised. Good,
- 11:00Speaker 1: give me how much I thought of him as being
- 11:02Speaker 1: in a cast. Yeah, he just I remember every time
- 11:06Speaker 1: he would come back, it was just for a few months,
- 11:09Speaker 1: and then he was hurt again. Right, really likable guy though, yeah, yeah,
- 11:12Speaker 1: very charming. I wonder if he'll be in the Hall
- 11:14Speaker 1: of Fame, so definitely you think something he might already be. Wow,
- 11:18Speaker 1: his numbers are really good. Hmm. I know it's weird
- 11:21Speaker 1: because I don't think of him that way either. Yeah,
- 11:23Speaker 1: but it's but like, I mean, they put in the
- 11:25Speaker 1: what's the name of that guy on the Lakers. I
- 11:27Speaker 1: won't remember this, so we as well. I'm not gonna
- 11:29Speaker 1: spend the time on it. Lakers retired the jersey of
- 11:32Speaker 1: a guy who got in the Hall of Fame who
- 11:34Speaker 1: was like fine, oh yeh, Jim R. Wilke, Wilkes, Oh yeah, Wilkes.
- 11:39Speaker 1: I want to say something like that. His name escapes me.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Not as good as Grant Hill, is the point. So
- 11:44Speaker 1: you gotta let Grant Hill in, you know. Yeah. Anyway,
- 11:47Speaker 1: so yeah, there were there were these four free agents.
- 11:50Speaker 1: It was at a time when the Bulls were like
- 11:52Speaker 1: rebuilding because Jordan had left for the second time and
- 11:56Speaker 1: I think they had gotten a couple lottery picks. Yeah,
- 11:59Speaker 1: and so the idea in two thousand was, oh, well,
- 12:03Speaker 1: the Bulls are going to get one of these players, right,
- 12:06Speaker 1: and they'll be back to the bulls they were, and
- 12:09Speaker 1: they just didn't They didn't get I mean, they still
- 12:13Speaker 1: like managed to sign the players they had, and they
- 12:16Speaker 1: did sign some free agents, but no one. They just
- 12:20Speaker 1: always missed out on that big prize. This seems to
- 12:24Speaker 1: be like two lines of criticism here. One of them
- 12:27Speaker 1: is Jordan was secretly the GM right that kind of
- 12:32Speaker 1: conversation when he was there, And to me, that doesn't
- 12:36Speaker 1: feel like a conspiracy theory as much as it feels like, Okay,
- 12:39Speaker 1: so that's the beginning of the modern NBA, right, you know,
- 12:42Speaker 1: or like the beginning of our current state of affairs,
- 12:45Speaker 1: because right now, guys like Lebron or you know whoever. Yeah,
- 12:50Speaker 1: those guys to make a lot of personnel decisions. They
- 12:53Speaker 1: make those decisions like Lebron clearly orchestrated his entire team
- 12:57Speaker 1: in Cleveland, clearly. Yeah. So like the fact that Jordan
- 13:01Speaker 1: would have that kind of input, Why is that such
- 13:04Speaker 1: a surprising yeah, because that's one of the other conspiracies
- 13:08Speaker 1: they cover. I don't know if I even put it
- 13:09Speaker 1: on here, but uh yeah, these two kind of go
- 13:13Speaker 1: hand in hand. That he was after his career blocking
- 13:16Speaker 1: them from signing free agents and during his career making
- 13:21Speaker 1: the personnel decisions that kept the team from trading away
- 13:25Speaker 1: Pippen and all of these things that like, honestly they
- 13:29Speaker 1: shouldn't have traded away Pippins. So that why would you
- 13:31Speaker 1: trade away a guy who's, even when Jordan retired, was
- 13:35Speaker 1: still a top ten in the NBA, right, why would
- 13:38Speaker 1: you trade it for? What? For? Who? Yeah? Who's this
- 13:41Speaker 1: person they want to get? Is he Shack? Then he's
- 13:43Speaker 1: not worth it? Yeah, you know what I mean, Like,
- 13:45Speaker 1: Shack's the one that okay tradeing for Shack? Right Shack
- 13:49Speaker 1: at that time? Yeah, it is Jamal Wilkes, by the way,
- 13:52Speaker 1: that is the correct name of the player. But the
- 13:54Speaker 1: thing about this also, you got to remember Chicago minus
- 13:59Speaker 1: jo Ordon is a lot less appealing of a destination.
- 14:04Speaker 1: You guys have a great fan base though, we have
- 14:06Speaker 1: a great fan base. Love brutal fucking winter. So if
- 14:11Speaker 1: you're like that sucks, Tim Duncan he was already playing
- 14:16Speaker 1: for the Spurs. Sure by this point in San Antonio,
- 14:20Speaker 1: He's not. He'd already won a championship there, hadn't he. Yeah,
- 14:24Speaker 1: he does hard and he's from the fucking Virgin Islands.
- 14:27Speaker 1: He doesn't want to live in fucking Chicago winter is
- 14:32Speaker 1: he I don't know, but he has that weird stare.
- 14:35Speaker 1: Have you ever watched Tim Duncan play. Yeah, he's at that,
- 14:37Speaker 1: like he's at that serial killer stare. Yeah. I always
- 14:40Speaker 1: hated the Spurs because I just thought they were such
- 14:43Speaker 1: a boring, like New Fundamentals. I don't know why. I
- 14:48Speaker 1: always picture the Spurs preaching fundamentals in practice, but they
- 14:51Speaker 1: just have that Fundamentals team kind of air about them.
- 14:55Speaker 1: The Spurs are like every single team that plays against
- 14:59Speaker 1: the Mighty Ducks and that movie franchise, just all those teams. Yeah,
- 15:04Speaker 1: and so this this conspiracy, who knows. I think there's
- 15:09Speaker 1: probably it's one of those where it's probably part truth,
- 15:12Speaker 1: part fiction, probably part coincidence. My question is what does
- 15:17Speaker 1: Jordan have to gain from stopping people from signing with
- 15:20Speaker 1: the Bulls after he leaves. Well we'll get into that
- 15:25Speaker 1: partially in the last conspiracy theory but I think it
- 15:29Speaker 1: ties into his competitiveness. He didn't want the Bulls to
- 15:32Speaker 1: be any good because he wants them to crater after
- 15:35Speaker 1: he's gone, right, because he hated the ownership that's of
- 15:40Speaker 1: the Bulls Kraus right and didn't. I could see him
- 15:44Speaker 1: wanting to be like, all right, now that I'm gone,
- 15:47Speaker 1: I don't want the Bulls to win any more championships
- 15:49Speaker 1: because I want it to be clear they needed me
- 15:52Speaker 1: more than I needed them, which isn't completely true because
- 15:58Speaker 1: they did a lot to build that team around George, Like,
- 16:04Speaker 1: he didn't start winning championships until they drafted Scottie Pippen.
- 16:08Speaker 1: I mean, he had good role players. Dennis Rodman was
- 16:11Speaker 1: on that team and he still could play basketball at
- 16:13Speaker 1: that point. Also, I met Dennis Rodman, and you're gonna
- 16:16Speaker 1: enjoy how I met him. I met him at his
- 16:18Speaker 1: eighth divorce proceeding. I worked in a divorce court, and
- 16:24Speaker 1: this is a matter of public record, so I'm not
- 16:26Speaker 1: just available for you all to search out downloaded on iTunes.
- 16:31Speaker 1: It was like my first day in divorce court. He
- 16:34Speaker 1: was finally a divorce and there was the details of
- 16:37Speaker 1: it were crazy. Go look it up if you want,
- 16:40Speaker 1: and it happened to just he happened to be the
- 16:42Speaker 1: guy at the window, and it was like, what the
- 16:43Speaker 1: fuck Dennis Rodman. Wow, it wasn't a pleasant interaction. Imagine's
- 16:48Speaker 1: nice enough, but you know, yeah, my favorite Dennis Rodman
- 16:52Speaker 1: memory there was It was years and years ago, probably
- 16:57Speaker 1: before the two thousands even, but there was this like
- 17:00Speaker 1: Battle of the Network Stars kind of thing where but
- 17:04Speaker 1: it was like athletes performing in athletic competitions that weren't
- 17:09Speaker 1: their own. Dennis Rodman was doing some kind of like
- 17:14Speaker 1: mountain climbing thing. He's done everything there is to do
- 17:17Speaker 1: in that world, and he ends up like finishing and
- 17:21Speaker 1: doing really well, and he's hanging from this rope and
- 17:24Speaker 1: just starts like wildly celebrating and starts swinging back and
- 17:29Speaker 1: forth on the rope and just smash his face first
- 17:34Speaker 1: into the side of this cliff and gets knocked unconscious
- 17:38Speaker 1: on live television. And it was I don't know if
- 17:42Speaker 1: that clip is out there on YouTube anywhere, but if
- 17:44Speaker 1: you can find it, it's a treat. It is a
- 17:48Speaker 1: real treat. And I love Dennis Rodman. Likes fan. He
- 17:51Speaker 1: was on the Lakers teams at least one of them
- 17:53Speaker 1: that won, I want to say, and he was just
- 17:55Speaker 1: a he was a fantastic player. Oh he was the best,
- 17:58Speaker 1: maybe the best defenderable time. Yeah, and he's fun. He's
- 18:02Speaker 1: fun for the league. And he's a crazy story too,
- 18:06Speaker 1: because he didn't he didn't even play basketball in high school.
- 18:10Speaker 1: And then after high school he grew seven inches in
- 18:13Speaker 1: one year, right, and then immediately was great at basketball.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Well again, when I met him, I mean, he is stunning.
- 18:21Speaker 1: He's a stunning person. Yeah, my god, you are tall
- 18:25Speaker 1: and exaggerated in every way, right, you know, like all
- 18:28Speaker 1: the piercings and everything. Was just like, yeah, he's just
- 18:31Speaker 1: he's a striking figure. Yeah. Remember that time he married himself?
- 18:34Speaker 1: That was pretty great, right, like we all made fun
- 18:37Speaker 1: of at the time. Now looking back, it's like, what
- 18:39Speaker 1: a great move. Yeah, like what a hero's journey, because
- 18:42Speaker 1: who would you rather be married to? Of course yourself,
- 18:45Speaker 1: that's amazing. I mean, looking at his marital record, it
- 18:47Speaker 1: seems like that was the most successful one. Yeah. Did
- 18:50Speaker 1: he marry Carmen elector where they just believe he did dating.
- 18:53Speaker 1: I think he married. I think he married Madonna. Jesus.
- 18:57Speaker 1: You know, that's a lot. He was too very interesting.
- 19:00Speaker 1: The dude has lived a life. He really has a
- 19:03Speaker 1: couple of them. He's a North Korean ambassador. Yeah, Trump supporter,
- 19:08Speaker 1: Now is he really? Oh yeah, oh that's strange. Yeah,
- 19:11Speaker 1: he don't understand that. He was interviewed on CNN when
- 19:16Speaker 1: Trump went to North Korea because Dennis Rodman helped facilitate
- 19:19Speaker 1: that shit, sure, and he was wearing to make America
- 19:22Speaker 1: great again hat and like crying about how great the
- 19:26Speaker 1: people of North Korea are. Well, he might actually Dennis
- 19:29Speaker 1: Rodman might actually care about that, Like he might actually
- 19:32Speaker 1: care about North Korea in like a compassionate way. Well,
- 19:36Speaker 1: he said they were the one country he visited that
- 19:41Speaker 1: didn't like treat him like a freak show. So I
- 19:43Speaker 1: imagine it was nice gawking like like they were just
- 19:47Speaker 1: looking at him in a way he appreciated it. I mean,
- 19:49Speaker 1: I feel like Dennis Robin's the kind of person who
- 19:51Speaker 1: like got more than he wanted of what he wanted.
- 19:55Speaker 1: He wanted to be seen in like famous, and now
- 19:59Speaker 1: he can't go anywhere out being a freak. And I
- 20:01Speaker 1: imagine that somehow he got some version of that that
- 20:03Speaker 1: he likes. And I don't know, I'm just imagining it,
- 20:06Speaker 1: I kind of had my heart goes out to Dennis
- 20:07Speaker 1: Robin a little bit, you know what I mean. I
- 20:09Speaker 1: just feel like, yeah, he always got treated like he
- 20:12Speaker 1: was a maniac, and like, yeah, and he might be
- 20:14Speaker 1: a maniac, but he had a rough upbringing. Like yeah,
- 20:17Speaker 1: I think it's like at least one of his parents
- 20:20Speaker 1: died or wasn't around. He was raised by his grandmother.
- 20:23Speaker 1: But we were mean to him when he was on
- 20:25Speaker 1: the bulls and stuff because like the dying, the hair
- 20:27Speaker 1: like and like that shit. And yeah, looking back, it's like,
- 20:30Speaker 1: who gives a fuck? Yeah, And because he listened to
- 20:32Speaker 1: Pearl Jam, It's like, now I would just make fun
- 20:36Speaker 1: of him for that because Eddie Vedder sucks. Yeah, but
- 20:39Speaker 1: as they only had one good record back then, it
- 20:41Speaker 1: was like how crazy that a black guy's listening to
- 20:44Speaker 1: Pearl Exactly. It's like it's not that weird, right, I'm
- 20:48Speaker 1: sure they had plenty of black fan He just never
- 20:50Speaker 1: fit in any boxes. Yeah, he kind of still doesn't,
- 20:52Speaker 1: you know. Yeah, he's just one of those guys. Uh, Yeah,
- 20:55Speaker 1: I don't. So that's all to say. I don't know
- 20:59Speaker 1: how Jordan would be against free agents coming there. They
- 21:02Speaker 1: had right, Like Robin was a key competitor for Jordan
- 21:06Speaker 1: in his early career. Yeah, with the Piston he was
- 21:08Speaker 1: the Jordan killer quote unquote, Yeah, because that the Pistons
- 21:12Speaker 1: were what captain Jordan from winning championships. Yes, pre Scottie Pippens.
- 21:17Speaker 1: They had the Jordan rules. Yeah, very famously. Yeah, and
- 21:21Speaker 1: then wouldn't shake his hand when they lost in the
- 21:23Speaker 1: Eastern Conference finals. Love that shit, Yeah, yeah, I love it.
- 21:27Speaker 1: I loved that Pistons team. Oh they're such assholes. Yeah,
- 21:31Speaker 1: they're great though. I saw an interview with Bill Lambier
- 21:34Speaker 1: were like you can and it like he finally made
- 21:37Speaker 1: sense to me as an older man. It was like, oh,
- 21:38Speaker 1: now I understand why you were such a piece of shit.
- 21:41Speaker 1: He's like a good soldier. Like that's who Lambier is.
- 21:44Speaker 1: He's the right soldier and I kind of love him
- 21:46Speaker 1: for that. Yeah. So let's talk about this next sh
- 21:49Speaker 1: conspiracy theory. I love this one because this is such
- 21:52Speaker 1: a memory of mine from my youth. All of us
- 21:56Speaker 1: we all remember this and my youth. I was like
- 21:58Speaker 1: twenty at the time, but that's young. Yeah. The flu game. Yeah,
- 22:02Speaker 1: this theory states that, well, I should tell people who
- 22:07Speaker 1: aren't familiar with sports or the Bull's history or Jordan's history,
- 22:11Speaker 1: which is almost everyone listening to this podcast probably somehow.
- 22:16Speaker 1: There was a game. It was was it the finals? Yeah, yeah,
- 22:22Speaker 1: because they're playing in Utah. It was against the Jazz, right,
- 22:25Speaker 1: was his last two And this game they call it
- 22:29Speaker 1: the Flu game because Jordan, according to legend or according
- 22:34Speaker 1: to the accepted version of events, had the flu, and
- 22:38Speaker 1: it looked like he had the flu. There were awful
- 22:41Speaker 1: There were a lot of shots of him playing very
- 22:44Speaker 1: capably and then being almost carried off the court by
- 22:47Speaker 1: Scottie Pippen every time there was a time out. His
- 22:50Speaker 1: eyes were swollen and puffy. He looked like shit. He
- 22:53Speaker 1: was a fucking mess. But he also played forty four minutes,
- 22:58Speaker 1: scored thirty eight points, had seven rebounds, five assists in
- 23:02Speaker 1: three steals. That's like a world class game for anyone. Yeah,
- 23:07Speaker 1: that's even if you're healthy, If you have that game,
- 23:10Speaker 1: you had a really really good game. That's like close
- 23:14Speaker 1: to Lebron's best game last year, right, you know, like
- 23:17Speaker 1: it's a great game. And I remember afterwards there was
- 23:23Speaker 1: a shot of him just laying on the floor crying
- 23:27Speaker 1: in the locker room because he was so exhausted. So
- 23:31Speaker 1: it was this really inspiring moment in Michael Jordan's history
- 23:36Speaker 1: that now people are wondering, Yeah, was he just hungover? Yeah?
- 23:41Speaker 1: Which the only thing that makes me suspicious of that
- 23:46Speaker 1: is I've never heard of Jordan being much of a drinker.
- 23:49Speaker 1: I mean, I think that there was a lot of
- 23:52Speaker 1: evidence in this Kozemba or whatever is Krzemba, whatever his
- 23:55Speaker 1: name is, that he was a partier though, right, Like,
- 23:59Speaker 1: there's like four different places he supposedly was the night before.
- 24:03Speaker 1: One of them, my favorite of them was Robert Redford's
- 24:07Speaker 1: Shalette because why not, right, just drinking till four am
- 24:14Speaker 1: with Robert Redford was the one of the places. But
- 24:18Speaker 1: it was like, yeah, he's everywhere in the world that night,
- 24:21Speaker 1: supposedly partying, and like maybe it was a party animal.
- 24:24Speaker 1: Maybe that's true. Yeah, And Jalen Rose at one point
- 24:29Speaker 1: told a group of people at a party that Jordan
- 24:32Speaker 1: was just hung over that night and then set it
- 24:35Speaker 1: again on a podcast Rle Simmons. So there's that, Like,
- 24:38Speaker 1: I don't know how trustworthy Jalen Rose is in that
- 24:43Speaker 1: theirs Yeah, uh, it's I mean Jalen often presents himself
- 24:49Speaker 1: as being the insider, like the guy who knows the
- 24:52Speaker 1: real story about how it is, and sometimes you feel
- 24:56Speaker 1: that that's authentic. But Jordan's stuff is very apocryphal, everybody,
- 25:01Speaker 1: it's all apocryphals because the NBA kept him so protective
- 25:05Speaker 1: and because he's such a dick that nobody was there, right,
- 25:09Speaker 1: you know what I mean, who was there for that? Yeah?
- 25:12Speaker 1: Because according to a different person who was supposedly with
- 25:15Speaker 1: him all night, he just was locked up in his
- 25:17Speaker 1: hotel room getting pizza delivered, you know. And that guy
- 25:23Speaker 1: thinks that his trainer his trainer, Yeah, uh, what's his name,
- 25:28Speaker 1: Tim Grover? This is a weird story. What he thinks
- 25:32Speaker 1: happened is that Jordan was got food poisoning and that
- 25:36Speaker 1: it was intentional. He he talks about, I guess Jordan
- 25:42Speaker 1: ordered a pizza. He's the only thing there was in town, right,
- 25:46Speaker 1: And Tim Grover said, five dudes showed up to deliver
- 25:49Speaker 1: the sheizza, which on the one hand is suspicious, but
- 25:53Speaker 1: also it's like, holy shit, you're delivering a pizza. Mic
- 25:56Speaker 1: I want to go, of course, that's the first thing
- 25:59Speaker 1: I would. Yeah, I'm surprised it wasn't more people. Yeah,
- 26:02Speaker 1: but five, like five people doesn't add to the poisoned
- 26:07Speaker 1: like calm right at all. It's just shitty employees who
- 26:12Speaker 1: should probably out be out delivering other pizzas. It's just
- 26:15Speaker 1: nobody else got pizza that night. These people love Michael Jordan, Like, okay,
- 26:19Speaker 1: either that or they poisoned his pizza. I guess. But like,
- 26:23Speaker 1: if you're going to poison a guy, you don't show
- 26:25Speaker 1: up to deliver the poison right as far from that
- 26:29Speaker 1: as you can. And what did they have just laying
- 26:31Speaker 1: around a pizza joint? When did they shit on it? Like?
- 26:39Speaker 1: What the fuck would you do to poison this pizza?
- 26:42Speaker 1: I mean I poison is the most cowardly of the
- 26:46Speaker 1: of the uh attempts to harm another person. You cannot
- 26:50Speaker 1: be more cowardly than poison, in my opinion. So people
- 26:54Speaker 1: showing up with it, yeah, I'm not gonna know. I'm
- 26:57Speaker 1: not on board with that. Didn't Kobe claim that happened.
- 27:01Speaker 1: This is in Sacramento. This is during that series where
- 27:06Speaker 1: or hit the three that you know put carried him
- 27:08Speaker 1: over in that game? Oh you remember the one I'm
- 27:11Speaker 1: talking Yeah, yeah, yeah, everybody remembers that one. Uh it
- 27:14Speaker 1: was during that series. I believe they were at some
- 27:16Speaker 1: hotel in Sacramento and Kobe got sick supposedly from you know,
- 27:21Speaker 1: fans or from a restaurant or whatever. Yeah, you know,
- 27:23Speaker 1: poisoning him. It's all apocryphal stuff, you know. Yeah, I
- 27:27Speaker 1: mean it's an interesting strategy, Like you would go to
- 27:30Speaker 1: jail for a long time if someone ever found out
- 27:33Speaker 1: you actually did it. This would be when we actually
- 27:35Speaker 1: find out the real power of investigation that the NBA has.
- 27:39Speaker 1: Like it's not to find out whether Jordan was investigating,
- 27:41Speaker 1: it's like, who the fuck poisoned Kobe? That person We're
- 27:44Speaker 1: gonna we're selling their body parts for like chump change,
- 27:48Speaker 1: you know. Yeah, so that the it seems like the
- 27:52Speaker 1: thing we still call it the flu game, but it
- 27:54Speaker 1: seems like people lean more toward it probably being food poisoning.
- 27:58Speaker 1: That adds up to me. But whatever the case, he
- 28:02Speaker 1: was in bad I have heard some people claim he
- 28:04Speaker 1: faked it, which that why, like, if you're already playing that, well,
- 28:09Speaker 1: what's with the dramatics of being carried off court? Yeah,
- 28:12Speaker 1: I don't think he gains from that. Yeah, So how
- 28:16Speaker 1: much do you think it was a hangover? What percent
- 28:18Speaker 1: of you thinks that I don't I believe the pizza thing.
- 28:23Speaker 1: I don't know that it was necessarily intentionally poison but
- 28:27Speaker 1: the trainer did say when he got the pizza he
- 28:30Speaker 1: had a bad feeling about it and that he didn't
- 28:33Speaker 1: want anyone to eat it. I mean, it could be
- 28:37Speaker 1: the hangover because the in between this pizza getting delivered. See,
- 28:42Speaker 1: this could be Jordan's trainer covering for him, because in
- 28:45Speaker 1: between this pizza getting delivered, the trainer doesn't see Jordan
- 28:49Speaker 1: again until two in the morning, and that's the point
- 28:52Speaker 1: where he's like curled up in a fetal position on
- 28:56Speaker 1: his floor and like throwing up. So he could have
- 28:59Speaker 1: been and just getting really hammered too. And the trainer
- 29:03Speaker 1: was like, we need a better story than that. This
- 29:05Speaker 1: is Michael Jordan, so let's let's say he got poisoned. Well,
- 29:09Speaker 1: Jalen Rose claimed it was both. That's what he said
- 29:12Speaker 1: on Bill Simmons Realist. Yeah, he was like, call him
- 29:15Speaker 1: a Colin beat remember I had that made that vague?
- 29:17Speaker 1: Answer was like, what the hell does that mean? Jalen?
- 29:19Speaker 1: The answer was essentially, was it a hangover? Well, he
- 29:24Speaker 1: was eating some stuff and made him sick, but also
- 29:26Speaker 1: he probably was drinking that night, a little bit of both,
- 29:30Speaker 1: is his answer, which to me just speaks to how
- 29:33Speaker 1: great of a competitor Jordan was. Of course, just get
- 29:36Speaker 1: hammered and get food poisoning in the same night and
- 29:38Speaker 1: still put up thirty eight points in forty four minutes.
- 29:41Speaker 1: I'm gonna put it to you this way. If Michael
- 29:43Speaker 1: Jordan was hangover, like it was a hangover for the
- 29:46Speaker 1: flu game. If that's true, then it would not be
- 29:50Speaker 1: the first time that he should have drunk to a game, Right,
- 29:53Speaker 1: there's no way that's the first time that happens. Yeah,
- 29:56Speaker 1: why is it the only one? Yeah, that's a problem
- 30:00Speaker 1: logically for me. Yeah, yeah, that makes sense. I mean
- 30:04Speaker 1: maybe he just went extra hard because it's the finals
- 30:06Speaker 1: or something. It's possible. Yeah, but would that be the
- 30:10Speaker 1: time to start drinking really hard? It doesn't feel like
- 30:13Speaker 1: it fits everything else about the man. Yeah, but it
- 30:17Speaker 1: seems like you would hold off. But I'm willing to
- 30:20Speaker 1: accept the idea that he didn't really have the flu, yeah,
- 30:23Speaker 1: because it was not like I saw we saw him
- 30:25Speaker 1: thrown up on the sidelines or like, and why would
- 30:28Speaker 1: he why would they let him touch everybody? And like
- 30:30Speaker 1: that was a legit. And the point the flu is
- 30:33Speaker 1: people miss label the flu all the time, Right, the
- 30:37Speaker 1: flu is more like a cold and chest kind of thing,
- 30:39Speaker 1: whereas if your stomach, if you're throwing up, that's probably
- 30:43Speaker 1: more neurovirus or something. It can though, right, can't it.
- 30:47Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't know. I mean, I'm sure
- 30:50Speaker 1: there's a version of the flu that makes you throw up,
- 30:52Speaker 1: but that, Yeah, that's the other thing. If he had
- 30:55Speaker 1: the actual flu that's very contagious, you wouldn't put him
- 30:58Speaker 1: out in the court, and he woul wouldn't infected everyone else.
- 31:02Speaker 1: You don't have basketball when that happens. Yeah, the next
- 31:05Speaker 1: night it's all flu game and it's from five days
- 31:08Speaker 1: minimum like that, Like that shit wipes your team out. Yeah,
- 31:12Speaker 1: And it wasn't Game seven of the finals, game like
- 31:15Speaker 1: five on us. Yeah, and so he came back like
- 31:18Speaker 1: a couple of days later and was fine. Uh So,
- 31:22Speaker 1: who knows. It was obviously something and it's whatever it was.
- 31:26Speaker 1: It doesn't take away from that performance, which was need
- 31:30Speaker 1: of no. Yeah, yeah, even if he was a drunken mess,
- 31:33Speaker 1: if this was the one and only time he was
- 31:35Speaker 1: just really hungover, Yeah, then look how good at basketball
- 31:39Speaker 1: he is. Yeah, what else is there to take away
- 31:42Speaker 1: from that? So the last theory, this is such a gem.
- 31:49Speaker 1: I love this and this one. I would encourage people
- 31:51Speaker 1: to just go out and watch the entire Mi Corzemba video. Yeah,
- 31:55Speaker 1: it's very loud, he's very aggressive. This is the This
- 31:58Speaker 1: is where I feel like maybe the money go to him.
- 32:00Speaker 1: Finally this video, Yeah, because there's a minute and twenty
- 32:04Speaker 1: seconds ahead of time where he's pushing his T shirt
- 32:06Speaker 1: store and then he launches into this video. And this
- 32:13Speaker 1: is one of the craziest theories I've ever heard. The
- 32:17Speaker 1: video starts with a bunch a lot more Michael Jordan
- 32:20Speaker 1: as a competitor stories. One of my favorite. These are
- 32:26Speaker 1: all of all my favorite story. Yeah, every single one
- 32:29Speaker 1: of these is great. Yeah. The first one they cover
- 32:31Speaker 1: is when Jordan was on the Olympic team. Apparently he
- 32:35Speaker 1: and Christian Laytner played ping pong so good and Christian
- 32:38Speaker 1: Layner beat him and Jordan one got irate, two disappeared
- 32:45Speaker 1: and wouldn't talk to anyone for three days through his paddle.
- 32:48Speaker 1: Through his paddle, you know, when he turns back up
- 32:51Speaker 1: after three days, we find out it's because he bought
- 32:55Speaker 1: a ping pong table, had it sent to his room
- 32:58Speaker 1: and was just proacticing ping pong vigorously for three days
- 33:04Speaker 1: and then finally comes back to Christian Laytoner like, what now,
- 33:07Speaker 1: pop because it's Christian fucking Latner. Well, yeah, everyone hates
- 33:12Speaker 1: Christian Latens so perfect. It's like Michael Jordan is gonna
- 33:15Speaker 1: eat this duke kid for lunch, you know what I mean?
- 33:18Speaker 1: I love it, and he loved this crap did but
- 33:20Speaker 1: he did. He comes back after three days of practice
- 33:24Speaker 1: and just annihilates Christian Laytner and it's like, Okay, do
- 33:27Speaker 1: you feel better now? Right? No, that's the thing. He'll
- 33:30Speaker 1: never feel better. He'll never like that's what's so funny
- 33:33Speaker 1: about this, Like Christian Layner is happy to be mentioned
- 33:36Speaker 1: in a sentence with Michael Jordan, right, Like he's definitely
- 33:39Speaker 1: fine losing this ping pong game. Yeah, but Michael Jordan's
- 33:42Speaker 1: not happy until Christian Layner's well being as annihilated. So
- 33:48Speaker 1: they cover that as as the first example of how
- 33:51Speaker 1: competitive Jordan is. And they also bring up like from
- 33:54Speaker 1: last episode we mentioned the airport carousel story, which is
- 33:58Speaker 1: bananas yep, And there's another story about one of his
- 34:02Speaker 1: former coaches at North Carolina. Guy named Buzz Peterson invited
- 34:06Speaker 1: Jordan over to play cards. Strange outing already. Yeah that
- 34:10Speaker 1: that alone. It's like, didn't Jordan have shift to do? Michael, Jordan,
- 34:13Speaker 1: come over and play cards with me, your former coach,
- 34:16Speaker 1: and my mother and my mother. Right, And at one
- 34:20Speaker 1: point Peterson's mom, who is presumably very old, because this
- 34:24Speaker 1: is Jordan's coaches mom. Yeah, minimum sixty five, right, Yeah,
- 34:28Speaker 1: so a little old lady in North Carolina. They're playing cards.
- 34:32Speaker 1: At one point she gets up to go to the
- 34:34Speaker 1: bathroom and Buzz Peterson catches Jordan trying to cheat. This
- 34:39Speaker 1: is even for money, by the way, this is just
- 34:41Speaker 1: a friendly game, even for money, and Jordan needs to
- 34:44Speaker 1: win that badly that he's looking at an old lady's
- 34:48Speaker 1: cards when she goes to the bathroom. I love it.
- 34:51Speaker 1: I really like it. I hope he lost and just
- 34:55Speaker 1: like crashed the living room fucking in the house. Next semester,
- 35:00Speaker 1: he's taken a course in card dealing. Yeah, I hope
- 35:04Speaker 1: he bought the house and like destroyed it before their eyes,
- 35:07Speaker 1: like just strapped into the chair. He took a sledgehammer
- 35:11Speaker 1: piece took that house apart and then there's holy shit,
- 35:16Speaker 1: the Charles Barkley Store. It's insane, it's totally bananas. So
- 35:20Speaker 1: in ninety eight, the Suns improbably had the best record
- 35:24Speaker 1: in the NBA. It was ninety three, right, Oh was
- 35:27Speaker 1: it ninety three? I think so, yeah, yeah, it was
- 35:29Speaker 1: the Jazz Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. So the Sons have
- 35:33Speaker 1: the best record in the NBA, and a lot of
- 35:36Speaker 1: people assumed this was the year the Bulls were going
- 35:39Speaker 1: to lose in the finals. So Jordan runs one of
- 35:43Speaker 1: the most fascinating long cons of all time, and like
- 35:47Speaker 1: halfway through the season just befriends Charles Barkley and they
- 35:51Speaker 1: become friends and they start hanging out. And then the
- 35:55Speaker 1: night or the day of one of the NBA Finals games,
- 35:59Speaker 1: I think it was Game four, yeah, and they end
- 36:03Speaker 1: up winning the series in six games. Before Game four,
- 36:06Speaker 1: Jordan takes Charles Barkley golfing for the most golfing I've
- 36:11Speaker 1: ever heard of. Forty eight goddamn holes. That is so
- 36:15Speaker 1: much fucking golfing. That's insane. It's so much, but also
- 36:19Speaker 1: not an even number because it's either nine or eighteen, right,
- 36:23Speaker 1: It's not a multiple of either of those. So they
- 36:25Speaker 1: just stopped at one point, and enough. Maybe the point
- 36:28Speaker 1: they stopped was the point where Jordan gifted Charles Barkley
- 36:32Speaker 1: a pair of twenty thousand dollars ear rings. And this
- 36:36Speaker 1: is before game four of the NBA Finals, A finals
- 36:39Speaker 1: they're competing in. And eventually someone like this story got
- 36:44Speaker 1: out and Jordan was asked why he befriended Charles Barkley
- 36:48Speaker 1: and gave him these ear rings, and this was his answer.
- 36:51Speaker 1: Now he won't get in my way the rest of
- 36:53Speaker 1: the series. What's twenty thousand dollars to me? Charles thinks
- 36:57Speaker 1: we're good friends? Now I hate that fat fuck it
- 37:00Speaker 1: so dark, it's so crazy dark. It's like, how might
- 37:04Speaker 1: beat him? Anyway? How would that have played? Now? With
- 37:07Speaker 1: Twitter and Facebook? It would have been a joke. There's
- 37:11Speaker 1: no way he would have said that. Now, it wouldn't happen. Yeah,
- 37:15Speaker 1: it just straight up wouldn't happen. But the fact that
- 37:18Speaker 1: he said it then even completely bat baffling, blows my mind.
- 37:22Speaker 1: But for the record, he scored fifty five points in
- 37:25Speaker 1: that game. Well, it's not because Charles Barkley was so
- 37:28Speaker 1: obsessed with those diamond earrings that he's like, let him
- 37:31Speaker 1: have his points. Yeah, come on, we're way past that
- 37:35Speaker 1: with these guys. Like that level of competitiveness is so
- 37:37Speaker 1: far in the rear view, right, Like it's just strange
- 37:40Speaker 1: to me that that Jordan feels like he needs to
- 37:42Speaker 1: do this. Yeah, right, But I also wonder if it
- 37:46Speaker 1: kind of worked, Like it's like that kind of head game. Yeah,
- 37:50Speaker 1: maybe we just want it to work because Jordan. I
- 37:53Speaker 1: wish Jordan wore a microphone every game. No you don't,
- 37:56Speaker 1: because you'd be horrifying. Yeah, he was one of the
- 37:59Speaker 1: legendary trash Talk him and Larry Yeah I used to.
- 38:05Speaker 1: I can't remember the story now, but there are so
- 38:08Speaker 1: many great stories of the insane things he would say
- 38:12Speaker 1: to people, Like he would even like get in Reggie
- 38:15Speaker 1: Miller's head, and Reggie Miller was the king yep at
- 38:19Speaker 1: trash Talk, loved it like he was a phenomenon. But
- 38:23Speaker 1: every time the Pacers played the Bulls, no dice, just
- 38:27Speaker 1: because Jordan was a mind fucker. Right, Yeah, it's interesting.
- 38:30Speaker 1: Yeah maybe that worked. Maybe maybe this did work. It's
- 38:33Speaker 1: just such a long like for for what for three
- 38:36Speaker 1: games so you can beat him in three games? You
- 38:38Speaker 1: put this pin of time into that. Yeah, And apparently
- 38:41Speaker 1: it started like mid season, like when they started like
- 38:44Speaker 1: being friends hanging out. This is why this story is
- 38:49Speaker 1: why I don't believe in the hangover game. Oh yeah,
- 38:52Speaker 1: those two things are odds to me. Yeah, you know,
- 38:55Speaker 1: like this is the story of a man who's so
- 38:57Speaker 1: obsessed that he'll put in hours and hours and hours
- 39:01Speaker 1: to get a slight advantage in the NBA Finals game. Maybe.
- 39:05Speaker 1: And then the other person is a person who got
- 39:07Speaker 1: so drunk that he potentially risked his health and and
- 39:10Speaker 1: his and his finals career right because of a party. Yeah,
- 39:14Speaker 1: those things don't add up to me. Yeah, And I've
- 39:16Speaker 1: just I've heard of him being a partier, but I've
- 39:19Speaker 1: never heard of him being an alcoholic, which not yet.
- 39:22Speaker 1: If you're getting throw up drunk basically the day of
- 39:25Speaker 1: an NBA Finals game, you're kind of an alcoholic, right.
- 39:29Speaker 1: That's like three hours before he stopped drinking at the
- 39:33Speaker 1: like or more recent to the game than that, right, Like,
- 39:36Speaker 1: you don't get that sick a day later, right right now? Yeah? Anyway,
- 39:41Speaker 1: that's a crazy story. That's fucking crazy. So the the
- 39:44Speaker 1: point of going through all these competitiveness stories in this
- 39:48Speaker 1: video is to set up this final Michael Jordan conspiracy
- 39:53Speaker 1: that we're going to cover, which apparently was first pushed
- 39:56Speaker 1: by a journalist named Shay Serrano. And what Shae Sarano
- 40:00Speaker 1: claims is that Jordan, during his time in the front
- 40:03Speaker 1: office for the Washington Wizards and the Charlotte Bobcats, would
- 40:08Speaker 1: sometimes sabotage his own team if it meant he could
- 40:12Speaker 1: keep Kobe or Lebron from winning another championship. I love
- 40:17Speaker 1: the possibility of this. I love the possibility, and I
- 40:20Speaker 1: love that every trade in question was very lopsided and
- 40:24Speaker 1: did not benefit the Bobcats or the Wizards whatsoever. Yeah,
- 40:28Speaker 1: I mean, okay, I want to You should get it
- 40:30Speaker 1: all out before I say anything. Yeah. The first trade
- 40:33Speaker 1: they bring up is in two thousand and two, Rip
- 40:36Speaker 1: Hamilton is playing for the Wizards. It's his third season
- 40:40Speaker 1: and he's fucking dominating. Yeah, twenty points a game or something, right, Yeah, yeah,
- 40:43Speaker 1: lot and Jordan just up in trades Rip Hamilton to
- 40:48Speaker 1: the Detroit Pistons for Jerry Stackhouse. And Jerry's a good
- 40:53Speaker 1: player at that time, he was a good player, but
- 40:55Speaker 1: by that point in his career, like he'd been at
- 40:58Speaker 1: it for a while. And it's a weird pick. For
- 41:02Speaker 1: Jordan from a competitive standpoint, Well, maybe that that was
- 41:06Speaker 1: part of it too, because there's a really famous story
- 41:10Speaker 1: where Jerry Stackhouse when he first got in the league,
- 41:13Speaker 1: he'd been in the league a couple of years, and
- 41:15Speaker 1: he just kind of offhanded said in an interview that
- 41:19Speaker 1: no one in the league can hold him on defense,
- 41:23Speaker 1: and like basically just hinting that he is the best
- 41:27Speaker 1: player in basketball right now. And a couple days later,
- 41:31Speaker 1: they play the Bulls and all of a sudden, Jordan
- 41:34Speaker 1: is guarding Jerry Stackhouse now, and of course he gets
- 41:37Speaker 1: fucked and Stackhouse scored like twelve points and Jordan put
- 41:41Speaker 1: like forty points up on him, because that was Jordan,
- 41:45Speaker 1: That's Jordan, And the shrug game was exactly the same thing.
- 41:49Speaker 1: Like somebody wrote an article about maybe Clyde is better
- 41:51Speaker 1: than Jordan, right because he can shoot threes, and Jordan
- 41:55Speaker 1: put up thirty five points and he first six threes.
- 41:58Speaker 1: Yeah in the first half. Okay, got it. Fucking love Jordan.
- 42:03Speaker 1: How can you not love it? It's so good. And
- 42:06Speaker 1: so he could have also been like, well, I don't
- 42:08Speaker 1: want Stackhouse to win a fucking championship, So if I'm
- 42:10Speaker 1: gonna trade Rip Hamilton. For anyone, it's gonna be him,
- 42:14Speaker 1: and he sends Rip Hamilton to the Pistons, and sure enough,
- 42:19Speaker 1: the Pistons go on to beat the Lakers in the finals,
- 42:23Speaker 1: keeping Kobe from winning that sixth ring. I'm gonna come
- 42:27Speaker 1: back to this, but that's the first part of this theory, right.
- 42:31Speaker 1: The second questionable trade happens in twenty ten when Jordan
- 42:37Speaker 1: is I think at this point he was with the Bobcats. Yeah,
- 42:41Speaker 1: I think at this point he owns the Bobcats and
- 42:44Speaker 1: just a GM. He traded Tyson Chandler to the Dallas Mavericks.
- 42:50Speaker 1: And the Mavericks at the time were good, but they
- 42:52Speaker 1: really really really needed a center. Who'd they get back
- 42:56Speaker 1: the Bobcats. Yeah, a bunch of fucking scrubs. There were
- 43:00Speaker 1: no big name players where any of them blue chip
- 43:03Speaker 1: players or had potential or anything, I don't think. So
- 43:08Speaker 1: I'm gonna look, I'm gonna look this up. Well, you
- 43:09Speaker 1: keep talking about it just to just because that was
- 43:12Speaker 1: that was the thing. It was like, I want to
- 43:13Speaker 1: know more of the details of this trade, right, So
- 43:16Speaker 1: I'm gonna look it up. And so they He trades
- 43:19Speaker 1: Tyson Chandler to the Mavericks, and they go on to
- 43:23Speaker 1: beat Lebron in the NBA Finals, thus keeping Lebron from
- 43:28Speaker 1: winning another ring. That was the greatest finals that I
- 43:31Speaker 1: ever watched. That was not a Lakers Finals for me. Yeah,
- 43:35Speaker 1: like because I hated that Heat team so much. I
- 43:38Speaker 1: wanted that Heat team to lose so much. Yeah, I
- 43:40Speaker 1: didn't hate on that because of the way Cleveland reacted.
- 43:45Speaker 1: That made me hate that Heat team less the way
- 43:47Speaker 1: Cleveland Lebron leaving, Well, their owner is the worst. Dan Gilbert,
- 43:51Speaker 1: He's yeah, don't post your open letters in comic sans
- 43:55Speaker 1: he fuck face. He's just He's just a child. Yeah, big,
- 43:58Speaker 1: big baby. Let's see. He canceled a trade this in
- 44:03Speaker 1: twenty ten, Michael Jordan cancels Jose Calderon for Boris Dio
- 44:06Speaker 1: and Tyson Chandler trade between Bobcats and Raptors. That is
- 44:10Speaker 1: not what we want to talk about. Keep going well.
- 44:13Speaker 1: Boris diaw is actually the third example of Jordan doing
- 44:18Speaker 1: something that doesn't necessarily benefit his team in an effort
- 44:24Speaker 1: to keep Lebron or Kobe from winning a title. In
- 44:28Speaker 1: twenty eleven, he just cut Boris Diaw right. He didn't
- 44:32Speaker 1: trade him he just fucking cut Boris Diaw, who was
- 44:38Speaker 1: a big part of that Spurs team that went on
- 44:41Speaker 1: to coming off the bench to beat the Calves. Yeah, yeah,
- 44:44Speaker 1: he was coming off the bench. But like a seventh man.
- 44:47Speaker 1: Sometimes you're like if you have a really like the
- 44:50Speaker 1: NBA has a sixth man award for that very reason.
- 44:53Speaker 1: They definitely do, and Boris Diaw was kind of that
- 44:55Speaker 1: sixth man. Boris dl played so well in that fun
- 45:00Speaker 1: it was like, yeah, it was like that again. It
- 45:02Speaker 1: was like that Mavericks year that you're talking about, which
- 45:04Speaker 1: is twenty eleven. I want to say it is when
- 45:06Speaker 1: JJ Berea suddenly was a fucking All Star. Right, It's like,
- 45:09Speaker 1: who the hell's this guy? Never even heard of him before?
- 45:11Speaker 1: Suddenly he's you know, able to stop fucking Dwayne Wade.
- 45:15Speaker 1: How's that happening? Yeah? And that in twenty eleven, that's
- 45:19Speaker 1: when Boris Diau goes to the Spurs and the Spurs
- 45:23Speaker 1: end up beating Lebron in the finals. And that's that's
- 45:27Speaker 1: kind of the crux of this conspiracy that this Shay
- 45:30Speaker 1: Serrano writer put out is that Jordan really values his
- 45:36Speaker 1: legacy and does not want Kobe or Lebron to catch him,
- 45:40Speaker 1: especially in terms of NBA championships, and so has from
- 45:45Speaker 1: time to time, in his role as general manager, made
- 45:48Speaker 1: trade specifically to keep Lebron and Kobe from winning. All right,
- 45:53Speaker 1: So I strongly disagree with this one strongly, all right,
- 45:57Speaker 1: but this, to me is the first conspiracy theory that
- 46:02Speaker 1: is born entirely out of his Hall of Fame speech.
- 46:06Speaker 1: This is this is fallout. This conspiracy theory is fallout
- 46:10Speaker 1: from him finally revealing to the world publicly I'm a
- 46:12Speaker 1: piece of shit. Yeah, this would not exist at all.
- 46:16Speaker 1: It'd be like Jordan is a bad GM, is what
- 46:20Speaker 1: the narrative would be. Yeah, because he has a bad GM,
- 46:23Speaker 1: I can agree on that. You know, Like he's the
- 46:25Speaker 1: guy who brought in Dwight Howard last year. It's like,
- 46:27Speaker 1: how many fucking people need to tell you don't bring
- 46:29Speaker 1: in Dwight Howard he's a cancer. Well he didn't learn
- 46:32Speaker 1: that lesson. Yeah, Jordan sucks at GMing. That's what this is.
- 46:36Speaker 1: Jordan's bad at it, you know, like most of these
- 46:38Speaker 1: guys are bad at it. But what if he got
- 46:42Speaker 1: into GMing just for that reason? You know, what if
- 46:45Speaker 1: he did I'm gonna go with this theory. I'm gonna
- 46:47Speaker 1: go with it. If he did, then that that suggests
- 46:51Speaker 1: that he was able to see that Rip Hamilton would
- 46:55Speaker 1: be in two thousand and two was the key ingredient
- 46:58Speaker 1: to be a Laker team that was about to four
- 47:01Speaker 1: pete with Shaq, Kobe, Carl fucking Malone who can still
- 47:06Speaker 1: be yeah, Gary Payton who could still play, Derek Fisher,
- 47:11Speaker 1: who was at the top of his game, Rick fucking Fox,
- 47:14Speaker 1: like that, Rip Hamilton is the guy that takes that
- 47:16Speaker 1: team down. No, that's that's insane because you're not worried
- 47:20Speaker 1: about Kobe in two thousand and two. You're worried about Shack.
- 47:23Speaker 1: Shack's who you're worried about in two thousand and two.
- 47:25Speaker 1: Kobe's like, I'll deal with him later, you know, Like
- 47:28Speaker 1: he's not. That's my opinion. Yeah, And I mean it's
- 47:32Speaker 1: not It's not a thing we'd ever be able to prove. No,
- 47:36Speaker 1: I love it. I love the idea of Jordan fucking
- 47:39Speaker 1: deep Seed thinking this through and like dropping a time
- 47:41Speaker 1: bomb and on the Pistons. I fucking love that. I
- 47:45Speaker 1: hope it happened. Yeah, that would be. It would be
- 47:47Speaker 1: so amazing if this was true, Oh my god, like
- 47:50Speaker 1: I want it to be. But just to stop Kobe. Yeah,
- 47:53Speaker 1: I love that. Yeah, I especially the part where it worked. Yeah,
- 47:57Speaker 1: because well that'll be only won five championships, right, and
- 48:00Speaker 1: how many Lebron's won. Lebron's won three three. Yeah, he's
- 48:05Speaker 1: won two with the Heat and one with the Cavs. Yeah,
- 48:07Speaker 1: he's been to the finals eight fucking times, like a row,
- 48:09Speaker 1: I think, Yeah, I think it might be more, might
- 48:12Speaker 1: be nine. It's a lot. He's been eight in a row,
- 48:14Speaker 1: but I think he's been to nine or ten total.
- 48:17Speaker 1: You can't even imagine that. That's a whole lot. That's
- 48:19Speaker 1: fucking crazy. But he's never gonna catch Jordan, if Jordan
- 48:22Speaker 1: has anything to do with it. No, I mean how
- 48:25Speaker 1: long how long do you think Lebron has left? Five years? Five? Five,
- 48:29Speaker 1: six years? I don't think he's gonna win a championship
- 48:31Speaker 1: with the Lakers next year. No, not next year. No,
- 48:33Speaker 1: I mean, unless they can get Kawhi Leonard, that's gonna happen.
- 48:36Speaker 1: But I don't know that. I don't think even that
- 48:39Speaker 1: team's good enough to beat the Warriors. Yeah, that war
- 48:42Speaker 1: team has to start tailing off. Which it will because
- 48:44Speaker 1: that's just what happens. Well, a bunch of them are
- 48:46Speaker 1: free agents after next year, too, I believe. Yeah. I
- 48:49Speaker 1: mean a team, a team basically has like four or
- 48:51Speaker 1: five years, Like that's the window when you get the
- 48:53Speaker 1: big contender together. And that's what happened in two thousand
- 48:56Speaker 1: and two is that Lakers team had won three times. Yeah,
- 48:59Speaker 1: and Shack and Kobe Wane getting along anymore, and you know,
- 49:01Speaker 1: people were there to ride rings and they got arrogant. Yeah,
- 49:06Speaker 1: and they lost to a team that was hungry. Yeah.
- 49:08Speaker 1: I wish the NBA would embrace smaller market teams a
- 49:13Speaker 1: little more because that's one of my favorite things about
- 49:16Speaker 1: football is you never know who's gonna win the Super Bowl.
- 49:20Speaker 1: That every year three teams that are bad or two
- 49:24Speaker 1: or three teams that are bad are contenders. Yeah, Like
- 49:27Speaker 1: just like that, they just jump. Yeah. That happens in
- 49:30Speaker 1: the NFL every year, and it's always a great story.
- 49:32Speaker 1: It really. I'm always happy when an underdog wins in
- 49:37Speaker 1: the NFL. But there's something about the NBA. I think
- 49:41Speaker 1: they they kind of low key put it out there
- 49:45Speaker 1: themselves where it's like, man if the finals was like
- 49:49Speaker 1: Sacramento and Charlotte. I'd be like, oh, do we have
- 49:52Speaker 1: to watch this now? Even though I would hate that?
- 49:55Speaker 1: Yeah you want that? No, I wouldn't. I mean, but
- 49:58Speaker 1: I also stars they have because best ball is so
- 50:00Speaker 1: much more star driven, yeah than uniform driven in my opinion. Yeah,
- 50:04Speaker 1: like everyone's Lebron probably didn't lose a lot of fans
- 50:08Speaker 1: going to La No, even though he totally should. That
- 50:12Speaker 1: should be like a devastating thing for his career as
- 50:17Speaker 1: a player. Everyone be like, fuck you, yeah, you know
- 50:19Speaker 1: he went to the Lakers, the fucking Yankees. You go
- 50:22Speaker 1: fuck yourself, you know, But it doesn't matter because it's Lebron. Yeah,
- 50:26Speaker 1: you know. I think the NBA just has that advantage,
- 50:28Speaker 1: and that's why Sacramento and Charlotte is a boring series. Yeah,
- 50:32Speaker 1: that's a problem for the NBA, though. They got to
- 50:34Speaker 1: figure that out because that's I think that's where a
- 50:36Speaker 1: lot of the allegations that they rig games come from. Yes,
- 50:40Speaker 1: because there was a game in the Western Conference Finals
- 50:44Speaker 1: this year. I think it was Game six, where it
- 50:47Speaker 1: was really looking like the Warriors were gonna lose, and
- 50:50Speaker 1: then they come out in the third quarter and all
- 50:52Speaker 1: of a sudden, they lighted up. Houston is getting called
- 50:56Speaker 1: for the craziest bullshit fouls and Steph Curry is just
- 51:00Speaker 1: punching motherfuckers on the way to the rim and not
- 51:03Speaker 1: getting called for anything, and people are like, what the fuck?
- 51:07Speaker 1: This is so blatant, But it's like, what can you do?
- 51:10Speaker 1: I mean the NBA also has had more than one
- 51:13Speaker 1: scandal where a referee yah was in fact changing calls
- 51:18Speaker 1: and stuff. Yeah, Tim donaghe went to prison for fifteen months,
- 51:21Speaker 1: So they're always going to have that, Yeah, in the
- 51:23Speaker 1: same way that baseball is sensitive about cheating after the
- 51:27Speaker 1: Black Sox, right, and they're always going to be because
- 51:29Speaker 1: it's like, well it happened here once. Yeah, it's kind
- 51:32Speaker 1: of harder to cheat in the NFL. Yeah, there's so
- 51:35Speaker 1: much camera stuff, like everything's reviewed, right, you know, it's
- 51:39Speaker 1: harder to cheat. I just want to go through the
- 51:41Speaker 1: rest of these just so that's my opinion on the
- 51:43Speaker 1: two thousand and two one. This Tyson Chandler one is
- 51:46Speaker 1: to me the most intriguing of all of them, cause
- 51:48Speaker 1: I yet because like Tyson Chandler in twenty ten was
- 51:52Speaker 1: a very good player, right, I understand that if maybe
- 51:58Speaker 1: you can't build around him, he's not a top player, right,
- 52:02Speaker 1: so I but like sending him to the Mavericks when
- 52:05Speaker 1: Dirk's in his prime is insane. Why would you send
- 52:09Speaker 1: I mean, it's not in your conference, but like, yeah,
- 52:12Speaker 1: it was. It gave him to a good team. A
- 52:14Speaker 1: weird trade that they didn't get that much. That's the
- 52:17Speaker 1: thing with all of these trades, they don't get that
- 52:20Speaker 1: much in return. Like Jerry Stackhouse for Rip Hamilton, that's
- 52:25Speaker 1: not a good deal at that point. No, in Jerry
- 52:27Speaker 1: Stackhouse's career, like bits and Pieces for Tyson Chandler in
- 52:31Speaker 1: twenty ten is like, I mean, yeah, Tyson Chandler's not
- 52:35Speaker 1: a world beater, but like he's a solid NBA player, right,
- 52:38Speaker 1: And he was like what the number two or three
- 52:40Speaker 1: player on that Mavericks team. Yeah, and he was, you know,
- 52:43Speaker 1: one of the reasons they ended up winning at he
- 52:45Speaker 1: was defending the rim. You know, you couldn't get in there,
- 52:48Speaker 1: and like, yeah, he stopped the Heat from playing their game.
- 52:50Speaker 1: That one feels more like I can see Jordan being like,
- 52:53Speaker 1: I gotta stop Lebron because he just formed that super
- 52:56Speaker 1: team and like Lebron's a legitimate threat. Yeah, you know,
- 53:00Speaker 1: that makes more sense what about cutting Boris d how
- 53:04Speaker 1: I think that's crazy. There's no fucking way anyone could
- 53:08Speaker 1: ever do the math mentally that it takes to convince
- 53:11Speaker 1: me that Boris d L two years later was going
- 53:15Speaker 1: to be a key ingredient for the Spurs beating the
- 53:18Speaker 1: Lebron's heat. That's possible to me. That's like, that's like
- 53:22Speaker 1: Trump's tariffs somehow end up benefiting us and that makes
- 53:26Speaker 1: him a genius. No, no, no, no, it was. I don't
- 53:30Speaker 1: care if it works out. Nope, he's a crazy person. Yeah,
- 53:34Speaker 1: the the cutting Boris Diaw was weird. I mean it's
- 53:37Speaker 1: weird either way. I think he's a bad GM. Yeah,
- 53:40Speaker 1: you know, yeah, we had a bad GM over here.
- 53:43Speaker 1: Because here's the other thing. He's so competitive, Like, why
- 53:48Speaker 1: wouldn't that extend to him wanting to make his Like
- 53:51Speaker 1: you'd think he would be competitive as a GM and
- 53:54Speaker 1: want to win championships in that capacity as opposed to
- 54:00Speaker 1: trying to stop Lebron and Kobe from winning as many
- 54:03Speaker 1: as he did. They're not gonna it's in this NBA.
- 54:07Speaker 1: Lebron has done incredible things and he's not even closed.
- 54:11Speaker 1: He's halfway. Yeah, to Jordan's legacy in terms of championships,
- 54:15Speaker 1: and it will matter in the end of the day.
- 54:17Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you know, because like Lebron lost so many times,
- 54:20Speaker 1: Jordan never fucking lost, right, Jordan never lost in the finals.
- 54:25Speaker 1: It's like, well even once you know, that's that that
- 54:28Speaker 1: has to count. I would say Jordan's competitiveness is why
- 54:33Speaker 1: he's a bad GM, because he can't he's not patient enough,
- 54:38Speaker 1: and he's not he doesn't he's not good at relating
- 54:40Speaker 1: to other people, which is kind of what a GM does. R.
- 54:43Speaker 1: A GM's kind of like a call guy on the phone. Hey, Sam,
- 54:46Speaker 1: I want to trade you this guy for that. He's
- 54:47Speaker 1: like one of those guys, you know. Can you imagine
- 54:50Speaker 1: Jordan doing that? No? Yeah, probably not. That's why he's
- 54:53Speaker 1: bad GM. Yeah, you know, it's like I don't know
- 54:56Speaker 1: exactly why Jerry West is so good, because because Jerry
- 54:59Speaker 1: West is a great and he's supposedly every bit as competitive.
- 55:02Speaker 1: I don't know how he's the exception of the rule,
- 55:05Speaker 1: but I know he is the exception. Yeah, that's interesting.
- 55:08Speaker 1: Players make bad GMS, like historically for sure. Yeah, that's
- 55:11Speaker 1: what you hear all the time. Yeah, like John Elway
- 55:13Speaker 1: and Denver, Right, now I don't think he's doing he
- 55:16Speaker 1: was that that Peyton Manning decision paid off though, right yeah,
- 55:19Speaker 1: And he had to get the hell away from that
- 55:21Speaker 1: Tebow thing, right too. Like I love Tebow. That was
- 55:25Speaker 1: the greatest year of sports ever. Oh, come on, how
- 55:28Speaker 1: could you hate it? It was like people hated it.
- 55:30Speaker 1: People were very mad at but he kept miracling wins.
- 55:32Speaker 1: It was so good. Yeah, and it was so funny
- 55:35Speaker 1: and like, and I was a Steelers fan and I
- 55:37Speaker 1: got hosed by that at the end of the year.
- 55:38Speaker 1: It was really bad, but I loved it. But if
- 55:40Speaker 1: you're fucking John Elway, You're like, I gotta get away
- 55:43Speaker 1: from this Tebow thing. I have to because I'll never
- 55:45Speaker 1: know if I'm gonna win a football game. Yeah, And
- 55:47Speaker 1: even getting rid of Jay Cutler was probably was Elway
- 55:52Speaker 1: was still there GM. I think he inherited the Tebow situation. Oh,
- 55:59Speaker 1: like yeah, around, Like he was the one that had
- 56:01Speaker 1: ended up having to play Cutler because at that time
- 56:04Speaker 1: they had or he ended up having to play TV
- 56:07Speaker 1: because they had Kyle Orton. I want to say it
- 56:10Speaker 1: was their quarterback. I mean he's still alive, but not really. Uh,
- 56:16Speaker 1: he wasn't good enough and they basically had to play
- 56:18Speaker 1: t bow. Yeah, because they had to find out what
- 56:20Speaker 1: they had. And then he was good enough that they
- 56:22Speaker 1: couldn't cut him unless they signed Peyton Manning. Yeah, genius. Yeah,
- 56:26Speaker 1: so I guess I take it back, sorry, John Lway
- 56:28Speaker 1: or he's been bad since then. Yeah, and he's probably
- 56:31Speaker 1: kind of an asshole. Oh how could he be a guy?
- 56:33Speaker 1: How could he be a good guy? Yeah? How could
- 56:35Speaker 1: that happen? Yeah, no way, no chance. So that's that's
- 56:39Speaker 1: the episode. Yeah. I don't think this theory is as
- 56:41Speaker 1: compelling as say, the retirement thing. That was definitely true. Yeah,
- 56:46Speaker 1: the retirement thing, I buy the flu game not being
- 56:50Speaker 1: the flu. I buy that it wasn't the flu. I
- 56:51Speaker 1: don't know what the fuck it was. And him keeping
- 56:55Speaker 1: free agents away, I believe that. Yeah. I think that's
- 56:58Speaker 1: like half half in half. It's we know he hated
- 57:01Speaker 1: his owner, we know, like he said that at the
- 57:04Speaker 1: Hall of Fame speech again, like that's the Rosetta stone
- 57:07Speaker 1: for Jordan, Like that fucking Hall of Fame speech that
- 57:09Speaker 1: goes on and on is like, oh this is I'll
- 57:13Speaker 1: never see you a different way again after that? Right, Yeah,
- 57:15Speaker 1: So if you want your Jordan Vision ruin forever. Go
- 57:18Speaker 1: watch that. Go watch that Hall of Fame. You will
- 57:20Speaker 1: never forget it. You're like, oh, you're awful, You're really awful.
- 57:24Speaker 1: My god. So that's uh, that's the episode. Yeah, everyone, Uh,
- 57:30Speaker 1: go out and check out those Mike Corzamba videos. I
- 57:32Speaker 1: think you find him a click, find him entertain and
- 57:35Speaker 1: give him. Give him some traff that's short for traffic,
- 57:38Speaker 1: what we call it in the industry. He needs to
- 57:41Speaker 1: tell he buys his way out of that gray scale
- 57:43Speaker 1: basement he's working. Yeah, get Mike Krzamba an apartment of
- 57:46Speaker 1: his own, get him a microphone to speak into all
- 57:50Speaker 1: of those things, an editor, give him all the things. Yeah. Uh,
- 57:55Speaker 1: this is a Patreon on the episode, So you don't
- 57:57Speaker 1: have to subscribe to anything you already do, baby. Uh.
