- 0:00SPEAKER_00: It wasn't much of a test.
- 0:01SPEAKER_00: When they did started developing the AI technology, it was at the very beginning when humans weren't anywhere close to being outgunned.
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: But it became much more than an over-glorified calculator.
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: In fact, now it's responding, it's self-learning, it's changing its own code, it's becoming something more than I think anybody ever expected.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: While I think human beings did know that there would be eventually something potentially more intelligent than us, we kind of thought it was coming from the alien realm instead of us creating the alien here on the planet.
- 0:35SPEAKER_00: The thing that I would tell you to be most prepared for is the vast amount of change that's going to be happening rather quickly just because of the control mechanisms that aren't being put in place.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: And it's always under the understanding that if we start to control our own development of artificial intelligence, other countries are going to get to it faster.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: And whoever gets to it the quickest, the actual artificial general or superintelligence, that's going to be the game changer.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: Now, just for clarification, just for your own knowledge, artificial intelligence is kind of where we are.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: The two other levels of it, the artificial general intelligence, would be AI systems that are smarter than every human being and every capability.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: That's when we're going to see the most dramatic job loss.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: And then above that, artificial superintelligence.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: That's more about control of the systems over us.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: So now they can establish goals, they can fulfill those goals, and they can do, unless parameters are put in, they will do whatever it takes to get to that goal.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: So when people are telling them to do something, they have to be very careful, especially once they have the power and the encoding to be able to be in different areas of society.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: So for example, the stock market, AI is running a lot of those systems.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: Unless they have a parameter that says this is just general panic, not a reason to sell off all the shares because you see some kind of a decline in the stock prices or some kind of decline in human sentiment or human purchasability or human desire to buy this particular stock.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: Don't just sell everything off arbitrarily.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: There needs to be a protection put in place, understanding that AI doesn't understand human panic or human nuance.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: It understands it because it's learned about it in some way, but it doesn't know what it is to be human.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: So you have these systems that might sell off everything in a panic when it's just kind of a potential market adjustment, as we as human beings do.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: You know, the government says something that has a reaction.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: And if the system is controlled by AI without the proper protections put in place, then it's going to sell everything off.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: So that's just something to consider on a very small level.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: And then you can, of course, carry that out into different aspects of artificial intelligence and what it's put in charge of and what it controls.
