- 0:04Speaker 1: NFL Game Debut is a production of the NFL in
- 0:06Speaker 1: partnership with iHeartRadio.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Everybody Welcome to Game Debut. Patrick Claybohn Spoiled Rotten because
- 0:14Speaker 2: I get to sit here with these guys, Greg Rosell,
- 0:17Speaker 2: Cynthia Freeland talked football while you guys watching. We're halfway
- 0:20Speaker 2: through Greg, halfway through.
- 0:21Speaker 3: The I cannot wait for this show because actually it's
- 0:24Speaker 3: gonna be my alter ego this week nine that's doing
- 0:28Speaker 3: the show, and nine is actually in first place in
- 0:31Speaker 3: the picks.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Oh.
- 0:32Speaker 3: I have summoned all my rage like Mike JJ McCarthy,
- 0:36Speaker 3: and it's going to make me pick better the rest
- 0:38Speaker 3: of the season.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Combine that rage into a being that's conscious and aware,
- 0:44Speaker 2: much like Cynthia Freeland's model, which has once again supplanted
- 0:48Speaker 2: Dragon and I no more crowns for me. The crown
- 0:52Speaker 2: is solo on the head of Cynthia Freeland. Eighty five
- 0:55Speaker 2: and forty nine through Week nine, back where we all
- 0:58Speaker 2: expected Cynthia to be at the top.
- 1:01Speaker 4: I just can't get over this alter egos.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Fun It's right, it's gonna help me. I'm only four back,
- 1:07Speaker 3: it's gonna help me.
- 1:08Speaker 2: You're fine, You're the chips on shoulders. When you can,
- 1:11Speaker 2: when you can create a new person, let's teck the ball.
- 1:13Speaker 2: The Packers and Eagles met up in last year's wild
- 1:15Speaker 2: card round. Jalen Hurts through for two scores, including this
- 1:18Speaker 2: play where Dallas Goddard went full base mode on Carrington's
- 1:21Speaker 2: balance con on his way into the end zone. Jordan
- 1:23Speaker 2: Love threw three interceptions in the game. The Eagles won
- 1:26Speaker 2: it twenty two to ten and advance to the Divisional round.
- 1:29Speaker 2: If you're just joining us, they would ultimately go on
- 1:31Speaker 2: to win the Super Bowl. But now it's a revenge
- 1:35Speaker 2: fortunity on Monday Night and Lamba where the pat just
- 1:37Speaker 2: took a loss to the Panthers Eagles coming off the
- 1:40Speaker 2: bye who gets a win something?
- 1:42Speaker 5: Philadelphia gets the win, but just by one point twenty
- 1:45Speaker 5: four to two twenty three. Not only did Howie Roseman
- 1:48Speaker 5: do it again and like steal people at free agency,
- 1:51Speaker 5: trade deadline, all of those things.
- 1:53Speaker 4: But Saquon Barkley he's still there.
- 1:55Speaker 5: And if you break down one of the things that
- 1:57Speaker 5: Saquon does really where where he's rushing really well, you're
- 2:00Speaker 5: looking at an inside run here, but you can look
- 2:02Speaker 5: to the outside too, and you can find good matchups
- 2:05Speaker 5: against what the Packers aren't defending as well. You can
- 2:07Speaker 5: say overall Packers defense pretty darn good against the run
- 2:10Speaker 5: in terms of yards per game given up. They're a
- 2:12Speaker 5: top the league, fifth, sixth right around there. But ultimately,
- 2:15Speaker 5: when you're looking at specific runs that Barkley does really well, Yeah,
- 2:19Speaker 5: unfortunately for the pack that is something that is not
- 2:23Speaker 5: their strength.
- 2:24Speaker 4: So say juon Barkley, advantage for him.
- 2:27Speaker 2: You've got an advantage in the run game. I've got
- 2:28Speaker 2: a more comfortable win for the Philadelphia Eagles twenty five
- 2:32Speaker 2: to twenty. I think the Eagles passing game has a
- 2:34Speaker 2: lot to do with it. The Packer is one of
- 2:36Speaker 2: the best teams against slot receivers, allowing the third fewest
- 2:39Speaker 2: yards in the league data. Smith's getting sixty three percent
- 2:42Speaker 2: of the time in the slot. So why not have
- 2:44Speaker 2: Dallas Goddard playing in tight like he has a lot
- 2:47Speaker 2: this season? Maybe not a big highlight like the one
- 2:49Speaker 2: he had in the playoffs, but enough to keep change
- 2:52Speaker 2: moving and maybe get another touchdown Birds For.
- 2:56Speaker 3: Me, Greg, I gotta say it's an opportunity here when
- 3:00Speaker 3: in a game that I frankly don't know what to
- 3:02Speaker 3: do Let's take a home favorite.
- 3:03Speaker 6: Let's gets Greg.
- 3:05Speaker 3: Let's have the Packers win this game, because this team
- 3:08Speaker 3: is so hard to figure.
- 3:09Speaker 4: Is this nine picking or Greg picking?
- 3:11Speaker 3: This is actually my real alter ego is sixty percent G.
- 3:15Speaker 3: I think that's better. Nine is taken by JJ McCarthy.
- 3:18Speaker 3: And I want Jordan Love to bring an alter ego
- 3:21Speaker 3: this week. He almost leads the league and passes behind
- 3:27Speaker 3: the line of scrimmage.
- 3:28Speaker 6: So you're seeing a lot of these short passes by.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Jordan Love this season and it's a little frustrating. I
- 3:34Speaker 3: want him to start airing it out. Only Kyler Murray,
- 3:38Speaker 3: who haven't seen in a while, has a higher percentage
- 3:41Speaker 3: of throws.
- 3:41Speaker 6: Behind the line of scrimmage.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Let's go back to an alter ego of Jordan Love,
- 3:45Speaker 3: and it's like Jordan Love from a couple of years ago,
- 3:47Speaker 3: who has a little more daring do who throws the
- 3:50Speaker 3: ball down the field. And this is the most confounding
- 3:52Speaker 3: team in the NFL, and so I was struggling to
- 3:54Speaker 3: pick this game. I thought, what does the most confounding
- 3:56Speaker 3: team in the NFL do? They actually go out and
- 3:58Speaker 3: win this game when nobody expected it, at least not
- 4:01Speaker 3: on this set so I'm gonna get it right.
- 4:03Speaker 6: Yeah, you're wrong.
- 4:04Speaker 2: It's one out of three, so it can't be nobody.
- 4:06Speaker 5: I still can't get over if it's sixty percent g picking.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Or great sixty percent, sixty six percent got it?
- 4:14Speaker 2: It's top forget more with Geico Cynthia. Which Eagles receiver
- 4:18Speaker 2: is more likely to have over sixty yards in the game?
- 4:21Speaker 2: Is it aj or DeVonta?
- 4:22Speaker 5: Well, you talked about it when you were talking about
- 4:24Speaker 5: slot situations. They are much more stout against slot receiver.
- 4:28Speaker 5: So pick the guy who lines up out wide more often.
- 4:31Speaker 5: That's Aj Brown to have more than fifty five receiving years.
- 4:34Speaker 5: When I'm looking at the opportunity in this one, I
- 4:36Speaker 5: think he also see that busts and coverage. I know
- 4:38Speaker 5: we're watching Minnesota, but that's kind of the thing that
- 4:40Speaker 5: he does. Those deep passes will be an advantage, especially
- 4:43Speaker 5: with the team that likes to get a little a
- 4:44Speaker 5: little blitzy with it upfront.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Well, blitzy with it. Like the matchup, it's a great game.
- 4:49Speaker 2: That's why we're kind of split that close scores. Looking
- 4:52Speaker 2: forward to Eagles Packers. Another matchup I can't wait is
- 4:55Speaker 2: the Rams and Niners. These teams had an epic matchup
- 4:58Speaker 2: back over there at SOFI Stadium Week five. Here's a
- 5:01Speaker 2: quick recap on how that went down.
- 5:08Speaker 7: Mitchell close MCA and it cut Joe Barney.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Knarro gives the Niners be Leenando Rams gets a football
- 5:22Speaker 2: coming one man had.
- 5:23Speaker 6: It on twenty times.
- 5:23Speaker 8: Tim Stumbling start the field.
- 5:29Speaker 2: A big Rams Niners rematch up there in Santa Clara.
- 5:32Speaker 2: The NFC West is up for grabs. Who gets their
- 5:35Speaker 2: seventh win of the season Sunday.
- 5:37Speaker 6: It will be the Los Angeles Rams.
- 5:39Speaker 3: I actually don't think it's gonna be that close this
- 5:41Speaker 3: week twenty nine to seventeen. You just saw Fred Warner's
- 5:45Speaker 3: image in that last game. He's no longer on the field.
- 5:48Speaker 3: Neither's Nick Bosa. The defense isn't the same. You know
- 5:51Speaker 3: who is the same. It's Matthew Stafford each and every week,
- 5:54Speaker 3: as long as you protect him. The numbers are just outrageous.
- 5:58Speaker 3: If you can get quick pressure on him, he's not
- 6:01Speaker 3: the same quarterback.
- 6:01Speaker 6: You know who's not getting any pressure.
- 6:03Speaker 3: The forty Niners defense among the lowest pressure rates in
- 6:06Speaker 3: the league, especially since Bosa went out, and ultimately these
- 6:10Speaker 3: are division rivals. Kyle san Dam has been a tough
- 6:13Speaker 3: matchup for Sean McVay over the years. But when you
- 6:16Speaker 3: have two teams that I think are really in balanced,
- 6:18Speaker 3: I think the Rams are way more talented right now,
- 6:21Speaker 3: and you already lost the first game, It's gonna even
- 6:23Speaker 3: out in the rematch.
- 6:24Speaker 5: I think the Rams get it well, can even out
- 6:26Speaker 5: in the rematch without being that big of a differential,
- 6:29Speaker 5: which is what I have twenty four to twenty two
- 6:31Speaker 5: in favor of the Rams in this matchup. Because there
- 6:33Speaker 5: is one guy who is still playing for the Niners.
- 6:36Speaker 5: It's Christian McCaffrey. This is someone who averages one hundred
- 6:39Speaker 5: and fifty eight scribbage yards in five matchups against this
- 6:42Speaker 5: is that's that's kind of a lot.
- 6:44Speaker 8: You know.
- 6:45Speaker 5: I think they'd be pretty happy with that type of
- 6:47Speaker 5: output in this and what you see here is this
- 6:49Speaker 5: game of chess.
- 6:50Speaker 4: I love the analogy. It's very dorky, but whatever.
- 6:53Speaker 5: When you see McCaffrey do something like, for example, in
- 6:55Speaker 5: the rest of the season, he's really used a lot
- 6:58Speaker 5: when he's in motion thirty five percent of the time.
- 7:00Speaker 4: Well, when they play each other, what happened last time?
- 7:02Speaker 4: They didn't they completely reversed that trend.
- 7:05Speaker 5: They target him on just two times of the fifteen
- 7:07Speaker 5: that he went in motion ahead of the snap. So
- 7:09Speaker 5: they're just coming out like Kyle sitting him like, ha,
- 7:12Speaker 5: I'm going to figure out what to do to get
- 7:15Speaker 5: Sean madd and Sean saying ha, I'm going to figure
- 7:18Speaker 5: out what to make good met So I just think
- 7:20Speaker 5: it ends up being a closer match up. It's more
- 7:21Speaker 5: fun for us to watch a closer matchup too.
- 7:23Speaker 2: I we just talked about this. I wish I could
- 7:26Speaker 2: change my score to completely split the difference between you guys.
- 7:29Speaker 2: I've also got a Rams win, but it's not twelve,
- 7:31Speaker 2: it's not two. It's a six point win because it's
- 7:33Speaker 2: gonna be I'm gonna get the ball to Christian McCaffrey.
- 7:36Speaker 2: But all the plays on the sheet are just Christian
- 7:39Speaker 2: McCaffrey and over on the other side. Last time they played,
- 7:42Speaker 2: every single play felt like it was Kendrick Bourne. Kendrick
- 7:45Speaker 2: Bourne was targeted on twenty four percent of his routes
- 7:49Speaker 2: run against the Rams in week five yards one hundred
- 7:51Speaker 2: and forty two yards. He was incredible. Late in the game,
- 7:54Speaker 2: you were thinking, well, this ball is obviously going to
- 7:57Speaker 2: Kendrick Bourne. It was, and the Rams still couldn't stop him.
- 7:59Speaker 2: They've made trades, they had changes in the secondary. Roger
- 8:02Speaker 2: McCree came over on October twenty seventh. I think considering
- 8:06Speaker 2: the volume of things that had to happen for the
- 8:08Speaker 2: forty nine ers to win that game, and so far,
- 8:11Speaker 2: it's likely uh to me that the Rams win. So yes,
- 8:13Speaker 2: Niners fans, your photo opportunity is right here. Send us
- 8:17Speaker 2: the name alert. We are across the board taking the Rams. Here,
- 8:20Speaker 2: let's head from Santa Clara to the other side of
- 8:23Speaker 2: the planet, all the way to Germany for the first
- 8:26Speaker 2: ever NFL game to be played in Berlin on the NFL.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Is it Berlin.
- 8:32Speaker 9: Kicking the week?
- 8:38Speaker 2: It is an unbelievable to grab it out on this
- 8:43Speaker 2: Dan Taylor for the great running.
- 8:46Speaker 6: Back, mister Robinson.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Oh my goodness, let's break down this matchup the Falcons
- 9:03Speaker 2: and Colts, both looking for bounce back games. Cynthia will
- 9:06Speaker 2: be in Berlin for this one where the das spielgwinnen,
- 9:09Speaker 2: which is a poorly enunciated way of saying who wins
- 9:11Speaker 2: the games?
- 9:13Speaker 5: Dos Colts Indianapolis. I have them winning twenty eight to
- 9:18Speaker 5: twenty one. I want to talk about the newly acquired
- 9:22Speaker 5: Sauce Gardner. Why because this is already a defense that
- 9:25Speaker 5: is very good when they rush just forward. In fact,
- 9:27Speaker 5: they have the second highest pressure rate when they do that,
- 9:29Speaker 5: when they don't blitz, when they drop more.
- 9:31Speaker 4: Guys in coverage.
- 9:32Speaker 5: One of the issues that lou and Rumo has had
- 9:34Speaker 5: so far this season is keeping his corners healthy.
- 9:36Speaker 4: Well.
- 9:37Speaker 5: Sauce comes over, hopefully he's able to play in this matchup,
- 9:40Speaker 5: and what does he do. He provides you that opportunity
- 9:42Speaker 5: to travel with number ones, something we've seen him doing
- 9:45Speaker 5: all season long so far, and to stay in tight coverage.
- 9:48Speaker 5: He has a lot of minutes played in tight coverage,
- 9:51Speaker 5: So giving just that one little extra wrinkle and fold
- 9:54Speaker 5: into that defense.
- 9:55Speaker 4: Is going to be good.
- 9:56Speaker 5: You're going to see a good statistic ken from him.
- 9:58Speaker 6: You know mathwork, I love.
- 10:01Speaker 3: I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but you're not sas guard
- 10:04Speaker 3: to the Colts. Just in time for an NFL Network
- 10:07Speaker 3: game and the Berlin crowd getting to see him versus
- 10:09Speaker 3: Drake London and I do want to talk more about
- 10:11Speaker 3: the Colts defense. We've given so much attention to the
- 10:14Speaker 3: offense over the year. How about Laatu Latu, the second
- 10:17Speaker 3: year pass rusher who is really breaking out this season.
- 10:21Speaker 3: He is in the top ten in the entire NFL
- 10:24Speaker 3: in pressures. He's coming off a big sack performance against
- 10:27Speaker 3: the Steelers. He's a defensive end with two interceptions this year.
- 10:31Speaker 3: You like, find your guy who can do a little
- 10:33Speaker 3: bit of everything. It really reminds me how well Chris
- 10:37Speaker 3: Ballard did in that draft a year ago, because Lastu Latsu,
- 10:40Speaker 3: the first defender taken, really coming on. And then they
- 10:43Speaker 3: drafted two offensive line starters in the interior in the
- 10:46Speaker 3: third and fourth round, in including Tanner Bordolini, who might
- 10:49Speaker 3: make an All Pro team. So it's not just about
- 10:51Speaker 3: the superstars. They've got a lot of good supplementary players.
- 10:54Speaker 5: It's almost like if you, you know, get a homegrown
- 10:56Speaker 5: great player and you keep them, good things happen.
- 10:58Speaker 4: I don't know, I'm just call me crazy.
- 11:01Speaker 2: You acquire the talent, you utilize that talent to trying
- 11:04Speaker 2: to win. And the conspiracy theorists out there taking the
- 11:07Speaker 2: breadcrumbs from Greg Now, the folks that are like, oh
- 11:10Speaker 2: this the color is in the border of the arts,
- 11:12Speaker 2: feel it's all gonna happen. Everything's I've got Colts, I've
- 11:17Speaker 2: got a similar score. I think they score in that
- 11:20Speaker 2: area there, twenty seven twenty three. Because you know what,
- 11:23Speaker 2: Dimes is not going to play as poorly as he
- 11:26Speaker 2: did last week against the Pittsburgh So that would have
- 11:29Speaker 2: been a bad Dimes game when he was with the Giants.
- 11:32Speaker 2: He was when he was pressured. He completed just thirteen
- 11:35Speaker 2: attempts for eighty eight yards and two interceptions. But in
- 11:38Speaker 2: a clean pocket, the performance was much better. And there
- 11:41Speaker 2: was a time where we would get safety Dimes on
- 11:44Speaker 2: the retreat trying to be extra safe. I think maybe
- 11:48Speaker 2: that was more play caller than player in that one,
- 11:51Speaker 2: and Shane Stychen is not gonna let his guy go
- 11:53Speaker 2: out like that. Across the board, we are taking the
- 11:55Speaker 2: Indianapolis Colts against the Falcons.
- 11:57Speaker 7: Colts, moving Crisp to the line of scrimmage under three
- 12:00Speaker 7: minutes remaining here in the fourth quarter, they get everybody
- 12:04Speaker 7: in place at the two fifty, Marcus Jones gets a
- 12:06Speaker 7: snap back to pass, looking pressure coming throws and his intercepted.
- 12:11Speaker 10: Joey Porter Junior first interception of the season at the
- 12:15Speaker 10: forty yard line of the Steelers.
- 12:17Speaker 7: As the Steelers now.
- 12:19Speaker 2: With another turnover. How many macs one for the other
- 12:22Speaker 2: thumb six on the day they were expecting that they
- 12:27Speaker 2: had the sixth thing plan Tom for sees the season
- 12:29Speaker 2: presented by Casars Sportsbook. The first touchdown score for the
- 12:33Speaker 2: game between the Steelers and the Chargers. It is the
- 12:35Speaker 2: all time leader in the history of running the football
- 12:38Speaker 2: in the single season at Troy University. Come on, he
- 12:40Speaker 2: Man Dell, Jalen Warren, Lad McConkie, DK Metcalf and Arondez
- 12:44Speaker 2: Gadsden the second there as it's a couple of running
- 12:48Speaker 2: backs at the top and then three guys have catched
- 12:50Speaker 2: them all Steelers Chargers Sunday night right over there. It's
- 12:52Speaker 2: so far Rodgers and Company shot the top seed to
- 12:55Speaker 2: Colts last week. Do they come into La and take
- 12:58Speaker 2: down herbosynth.
- 13:00Speaker 5: Yes, I have a two point win for the Steelers
- 13:03Speaker 5: twenty four two. I want to talk about the defense
- 13:06Speaker 5: why because you saw it with that interception.
- 13:09Speaker 4: It was really caused by a bunch of pressure up front.
- 13:12Speaker 5: And we're gonna play like a very sad song for
- 13:15Speaker 5: this Chargers ole line because Joe Walt being out is
- 13:17Speaker 5: a huge deal. He the difference when he's playing when
- 13:21Speaker 5: he's not. It's a ten percentage point increase, just about
- 13:24Speaker 5: a ten percentage point increase in the amount of pressure
- 13:27Speaker 5: that Justin Herbert is under. And these guys are now
- 13:30Speaker 5: figuring it out. They really like getting into a good guru.
- 13:34Speaker 5: They really got into it last week and caused just
- 13:36Speaker 5: a whole bunch of problems for Daniel Jones. Justin Herbert
- 13:39Speaker 5: has been under a ton of pressure. I think that continues,
- 13:42Speaker 5: thus leading to a two point in a two point
- 13:44Speaker 5: win for the Steelers.
- 13:45Speaker 3: Yeah, I hate to go against Herbo. I love Rudion
- 13:48Speaker 3: a Chargers. He's clearly the best quarterback in this game
- 13:51Speaker 3: by a lot. He's playing at an MVP level. And yeah,
- 13:53Speaker 3: I'm taking the Steelers because you just mentioned all the
- 13:56Speaker 3: reasons why the Chargers offense could struggle. How about this
- 13:58Speaker 3: Chargers defense one of the worst in the league against
- 14:01Speaker 3: the run and Jalen Warren and this pits for Steelers
- 14:04Speaker 3: ground game has been very consistent all season, fourth in
- 14:09Speaker 3: the league.
- 14:09Speaker 6: Jalen Warren in.
- 14:10Speaker 3: Mistackles forced per carry, and they love getting out there
- 14:14Speaker 3: with those jumbo packages. And the Chargers don't like matching personnel,
- 14:19Speaker 3: and so they're gonna stay in what they do, and
- 14:21Speaker 3: you get Darnell Washington. You got a sixth offensive lineman
- 14:23Speaker 3: out there. And Patrick Claybond will tell you again and
- 14:26Speaker 3: again with his anti Jalen Warren.
- 14:29Speaker 6: Propaganda that he's just a guy, but he's not a guy.
- 14:33Speaker 3: I'm the president of the Jalen Warren Committee to make
- 14:36Speaker 3: the Pro Bowl in twenty twenty five. No matter what
- 14:39Speaker 3: Patrick says, don't listen to him.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Listen to Greg taking a conversation from two years ago
- 14:44Speaker 2: completely out of context. I like Jalen Warren. I think
- 14:47Speaker 2: the Steelers may score some points. I don't think there
- 14:49Speaker 2: were score more points than the Los Angeles Chargers. I
- 14:52Speaker 2: love the Chargers win, and I will be all alone
- 14:55Speaker 2: and be comfortable with it because doing it all by
- 14:57Speaker 2: yourself is what Justin Herbert is gonna have to do,
- 15:00Speaker 2: and that's what he's kind of done for big parts
- 15:02Speaker 2: of the season. This is the regular standard version of
- 15:06Speaker 2: Justin Herbert. This is this is the dangerous version, the
- 15:09Speaker 2: most dangerous version. And yeah, relying on Trevor Penning to
- 15:12Speaker 2: come over and save your season at tackle is a
- 15:14Speaker 2: dangerous situation. But on the move, when he's extending plays
- 15:18Speaker 2: longer than four seconds and buying time. He's got more
- 15:21Speaker 2: touchdowns in that situation than anyone else in the league,
- 15:24Speaker 2: So I'm fine. I do think like you guys, the
- 15:26Speaker 2: Steelers will score around twenty points. I think the Chargers
- 15:30Speaker 2: get more points at home and get a win. Seize

- 16:10Speaker 9: touch down, Patrians to Ruckley Dicks to get outside of
- 16:14Speaker 9: the pieline.
- 16:17Speaker 2: Drake May and the Patriots on a six game win streak.
- 16:19Speaker 2: They're heading to Tampa to take on Baker and the Bucks.
- 16:22Speaker 2: It was Greg Rosenthal who said a year ago, Drake
- 16:26Speaker 2: May is the only thing that Matt Well now the
- 16:28Speaker 2: team is mattering, Greg They're in the play for the
- 16:31Speaker 2: number one overall seed. Do they win in Tampa.
- 16:34Speaker 6: I don't think they do.
- 16:35Speaker 3: I think it's a reality check, and that's okay. They're
- 16:37Speaker 3: seven to two. This is the first really good team
- 16:39Speaker 3: they've played in a month. And part of the reason
- 16:41Speaker 3: I don't have faith is because of the offensive line
- 16:43Speaker 3: in front of Drake may So. It's twenty seven to
- 16:46Speaker 3: twenty four Bucks. I think it's a good game. But
- 16:48Speaker 3: he has taken sixteen sacks in the last three weeks alone.
- 16:54Speaker 3: He has taken the second most amount of sacks in
- 16:56Speaker 3: the entire NFL this season. Remember last year we said
- 17:00Speaker 3: that is one of the worst Patriots offensive lines I
- 17:02Speaker 3: have ever seen. He's actually taken as many sacks this
- 17:04Speaker 3: year already as he did in three more starts last
- 17:08Speaker 3: year as a rookie. And then you think about the matchup,
- 17:11Speaker 3: and I see communication problems up front with young players
- 17:14Speaker 3: rookies Will Campbell Wilson at guard, and you go against
- 17:17Speaker 3: Todd Bowles and this defense. I think it's just gonna
- 17:19Speaker 3: be a little bit of a reality check in that
- 17:21Speaker 3: they won't protect.
- 17:22Speaker 6: Him well enough.
- 17:23Speaker 2: I've got a Tampa Bay win as well by three
- 17:26Speaker 2: twenty six to twenty three, and Drake May takes those
- 17:28Speaker 2: sacks because Drake May tries to hit on runs. He's
- 17:31Speaker 2: a great deep passer, but they're going up against the
- 17:34Speaker 2: team that has a great player that teams are absolutely
- 17:37Speaker 2: avoiding right now, in Antoine Winfield Junior, in the middle
- 17:40Speaker 2: of the field, he's less than five percent of his
- 17:43Speaker 2: covered snaps he gets targeted. He's right there, sitting about
- 17:46Speaker 2: fifteen yards off the line of scrimmage in the middle
- 17:49Speaker 2: of the field, and teams are going elsewhere, and even
- 17:51Speaker 2: when they do, all right, he can get over there
- 17:53Speaker 2: to sideline and make plays. I think the defense does
- 17:55Speaker 2: enough to get another Baker Mayfield fourth quarter win.
- 17:59Speaker 4: Cynthia, well, go ahead and give me the prime number.
- 18:04Speaker 5: Twenty six to twenty five in this one, because kind
- 18:07Speaker 5: of everything that you.
- 18:08Speaker 4: Guys said is true.
- 18:09Speaker 5: Of course, the old line is giving up a bunch
- 18:11Speaker 5: of sacks, and of course Antoine Winfield is also very good.
- 18:14Speaker 4: But I don't know if Drake maybe like even cares
- 18:16Speaker 4: or knows.
- 18:17Speaker 5: About this, because in those games when he's taken a
- 18:19Speaker 5: bunch of sacks, he still has over two hundred passing
- 18:21Speaker 5: yards and an over one hundred passer rating.
- 18:23Speaker 4: In fact, he's kind of setting records.
- 18:25Speaker 5: He's tied for the second longest streak of such kind
- 18:27Speaker 5: of efficiency all time. So I'm not sure it's not
- 18:32Speaker 5: to say, like maybe he just doesn't he just doesn't
- 18:34Speaker 5: register at as a problem. And I'm looking at this
- 18:36Speaker 5: and I'm saying, what does this remind me of? You
- 18:38Speaker 5: guys talk about liking Matthew Stafford, Well, you know what,
- 18:41Speaker 5: Drake may is exceptionally good at like just like in
- 18:43Speaker 5: that Matthew Stafford roal met the play after being pressured,
- 18:47Speaker 5: completing a pass the play after being pressured, making it
- 18:50Speaker 5: so that his team earns a first down or touchdown.
- 18:52Speaker 6: He didn't care.
- 18:52Speaker 4: I mean, maybe he cares, but doesn't seem to matter.
- 18:55Speaker 4: He's he's feeling either way.
- 18:57Speaker 2: I think there's a small part of this like, oh no,
- 18:59Speaker 2: we lost twelve yards, so now I gotta throw deep.
- 19:01Speaker 6: Oh no, this is the first prime number. I'm rooting
- 19:05Speaker 6: for it. By the way, officially, for the of this one, it's.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Time for Who's Eating Good? Presented by Applebee's Cynthia. Let's
- 19:12Speaker 2: talk about the other quarterback, Well, Baker Mayfield pass for
- 19:14Speaker 2: more or less than two hundred and forty seven yards
- 19:17Speaker 2: on Sunday.
- 19:17Speaker 5: I think he passes for more than that. I think
- 19:19Speaker 5: it's going to be a close, higher scoring game, which
- 19:21Speaker 5: would mean lots more passing for everyone.
- 19:24Speaker 4: Though beware, he has had some interesting results.
- 19:26Speaker 5: He's targeted intermediate passes quite a bit, and that's an
- 19:30Speaker 5: area that the Patriots have actually been good at defending.
- 19:32Speaker 5: So you know, spread the love around a little bit more.
- 19:34Speaker 5: See who's actually playing. But I mean, I still like
- 19:36Speaker 5: a mechic Buka. Just score a touchdown in this one too.
- 19:41Speaker 8: Henry Alongasacfia, Jake Lawers throws in motion now re versus
- 19:44Speaker 8: close to the right, Lamar rolls out to the right,
- 19:46Speaker 8: rows quickly touchdown Mark Andrews watch it in the ten
- 19:52Speaker 8: pt Andrews in touchdown rivings. Two for two for Mark Andrews.
- 19:58Speaker 8: Lamar to throw lot to the MZO. It's a tree off,
- 20:02Speaker 8: tight end touchdown. Lamar SLINKs it to the end zone touchdownriving.
- 20:10Speaker 2: It's sid for the Reid presented by Microsoft co Pilot.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Microsoft co Pilot, your AI companion for NFL Game Day
- 20:16Speaker 2: and every day, we asked which matchup would decide the
- 20:19Speaker 2: Ravens Vikings game and co pilot highlighted the Minnesota receivers
- 20:22Speaker 2: against Baltimore's secondary, a unit that's given up a lot
- 20:25Speaker 2: of big pass plays this season, going up against Justin Jefferson,
- 20:28Speaker 2: among the league's best in that category. Let's Talphomore Ravens Vikings.
- 20:33Speaker 2: Both squads looked great and wins last week. Both are
- 20:36Speaker 2: trying to stay in the playoff hunt, and I will
- 20:38Speaker 2: lead off with what I believe is a narrow win
- 20:40Speaker 2: for the Ravens twenty seven to twenty six. The Ravens
- 20:43Speaker 2: relying on the offense and the thing that the offense
- 20:45Speaker 2: is best at, play action. Lamar Jackson is still completing
- 20:49Speaker 2: ninety percent of this passes. When Baltimore runs play action,
- 20:53Speaker 2: He's twenty nine to thirty two for four hundred and
- 20:55Speaker 2: seventy eight yards and seven touchdowns. The Vikings have given
- 20:58Speaker 2: up five scores and only one interception this season on
- 21:02Speaker 2: play action. Necessarily, think they're gonna lock down JJ McCarthy
- 21:07Speaker 2: a company, but enough Cynthia to get a win.
- 21:09Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, I think that JJ McCarthy could be good.
- 21:12Speaker 5: I have him scoring twenty one points, but I have
- 21:14Speaker 5: the Ravens scoring twenty six points.
- 21:16Speaker 4: Which is five more points than them.
- 21:18Speaker 5: I'm looking at Derrick Henry in this matchup, and here's
- 21:21Speaker 5: the difference between what you saw from the Lions and
- 21:24Speaker 5: what you'll see from the Ravens. Number One, you have
- 21:27Speaker 5: eight quarterbacks that is a rushing threat on every single down,
- 21:29Speaker 5: which is not something you had with the Lions. So
- 21:31Speaker 5: now you have to figure out, Okay, are we gonna
- 21:33Speaker 5: try to stop Derrick Henry, We're going to try to
- 21:35Speaker 5: stop Lamar Jackson.
- 21:36Speaker 4: What are we gonna do? What are we gonna do?
- 21:37Speaker 5: And I think that Derrick Henry just rolls in those situations.
- 21:41Speaker 5: So for me, this is a big Derrick Henry game.
- 21:43Speaker 5: The matchup is something where they're gonna they're gonna have
- 21:45Speaker 5: to pick their poison. Good luck trying to figure out
- 21:48Speaker 5: how to stop both of them. I think that this
- 21:49Speaker 5: dual threat situation is too much for the Minnesota defense.
- 21:53Speaker 4: Derrick Henry rolls.
- 21:54Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 21:54Speaker 3: Initially I thought the Vikings would keep it rolling, and
- 21:57Speaker 3: then I saw the JJ McCarthy alter ego thing, and
- 22:00Speaker 3: I thought, oh, Ravens are winning this ball game, and
- 22:03Speaker 3: it's partly because of the deep Kyle Hamilton.
- 22:05Speaker 6: He's mister fix it.
- 22:06Speaker 3: When you have an issue on your defense, you just hey, Kyle,
- 22:10Speaker 3: can you go fix everything for us? Last year it
- 22:13Speaker 3: was backing them up having him played deeper. Suddenly the
- 22:16Speaker 3: pass defense is better this year. It's putting them closer
- 22:19Speaker 3: to the line of scrimmage. In the first five weeks
- 22:21Speaker 3: of the season, the Ravens were dead last in terms
- 22:25Speaker 3: of EPA for play allowed on the ground, like the
- 22:28Speaker 3: worst run defense in the league. Since they moved them
- 22:30Speaker 3: up the last three games, they're third. I mean, it's
- 22:34Speaker 3: it can't be all that simple. Rokwan Smith getting healthy
- 22:37Speaker 3: and playing really well is a huge part of it too.
- 22:39Speaker 3: But man, Kyle Hamilton is so valuable for this team,
- 22:43Speaker 3: and I think he'll make the Vikings one dimensional and
- 22:45Speaker 3: more valuable.
- 22:46Speaker 2: Again. We're having fun with the JJ McCarthy alter ego
- 22:49Speaker 2: thing because it's fun.
- 22:50Speaker 6: Nine yes, nine nice.
- 22:54Speaker 2: Summoning the evil energy from his time out being injured.
- 22:58Speaker 2: The Ravens and Vikings projected to be one of the
- 23:01Speaker 2: highest scoring games of the week, according to our friends
- 23:03Speaker 2: at season. Let's take a look at the highest scoring
- 23:06Speaker 2: ones the Bengals want to buy some of the first
- 23:08Speaker 2: time they're not on this graphic. The Bills, Dolphins, Lions, Commanders, Rams, Niners, Ravens,
- 23:14Speaker 2: Vikings right there at forty nine points, Falcots, Colts and
- 23:16Speaker 2: Patriots Buccaneers rounding out the highest totals of the week.
- 23:20Speaker 2: It's time for two minute drill presented by vat Wells
- 23:23Speaker 2: Fargo Active Cash credit card allow us to make some
- 23:26Speaker 2: quick picks for you. The Lions of commanders Marcus mare
- 23:29Speaker 2: starting for the injury j and Daniel Cynthia. The Lions
- 23:31Speaker 2: have lost two of their last three. What do they
- 23:33Speaker 2: do here?
- 23:34Speaker 4: A touchdown win twenty eight to twenty one.
- 23:37Speaker 5: Let's talk about Aman Rossing Brown in this matchup, Well,
- 23:40Speaker 5: the Commander's defense, let's just say they're giving up like
- 23:43Speaker 5: all of the yards per carry, it's so over eight
- 23:45Speaker 5: and a half excuse me, yards per reception.
- 23:47Speaker 4: And I'm looking at Amon Rossing Brown.
- 23:49Speaker 5: I'm thinking, okay, Johnny Morton took taking a little heat
- 23:52Speaker 5: from not being able to get it going last week.
- 23:54Speaker 4: And you know what happens when they bounce back. Just
- 23:56Speaker 4: go to your best receiver.
- 23:58Speaker 5: Let fourteen do the work, and I think that's what
- 24:00Speaker 5: will happen in this matchup is such a great one
- 24:03Speaker 5: from the standpoint of who gonna catch the passes.
- 24:05Speaker 4: I think you could have a lot.
- 24:06Speaker 5: Of fun with maybe even another Jamis and William touchdowns
- 24:08Speaker 5: as well. But I'm on ras Saint Brown, big difference
- 24:11Speaker 5: maker in this one.
- 24:12Speaker 2: There, We're all with you with the Lions. Let's go
- 24:14Speaker 2: to the Cardinals and the Seahawks. Seattle has one three straight.
- 24:17Speaker 2: Do they make it four? Correct?
- 24:18Speaker 6: They absolutely do. I think it'll be tougher than that.
- 24:21Speaker 3: Six and a half points maybe indicates Cardinals keep it close,
- 24:24Speaker 3: but ultimately they win in part because of their new
- 24:27Speaker 3: addition Rashid Shahed. Love what he has done as a
- 24:31Speaker 3: New Orleans Saints and love that he's adding to a
- 24:34Speaker 3: team that already led the league in air yards per attempt.
- 24:38Speaker 3: Here's an outrageous stat for you. Rashid Shahed is the
- 24:42Speaker 3: leader in all of NFL history in terms of average
- 24:46Speaker 3: yards of scrimmage touchdowns. You know, as long as you
- 24:49Speaker 3: got ten, his average touchdown is over forty seven yards.
- 24:54Speaker 3: That is just outrageous explosion. And I don't think the
- 24:57Speaker 3: quarterbacks in New Orleans have really fully taken advantage of it.
- 25:01Speaker 3: I think Sam Darnold will, so I just don't want
- 25:03Speaker 3: them score any short touchdowns and ruining that number. Only
- 25:07Speaker 3: fifty plus yard touchdowns for ashg.
- 25:10Speaker 2: Gotnathan mel Gray in that category and his numbers if
- 25:13Speaker 2: you go look him up, we're absolutely bananas. I'll take
- 25:15Speaker 2: the Jags and the Texans. CD Shroud unfortunately out for
- 25:18Speaker 2: this one, so Davis Mills will start, and that's a
- 25:21Speaker 2: big factor in why I'm taking the Jacksonville Jaguars fourteen
- 25:24Speaker 2: to twelve. I would like to discuss Travis et In
- 25:28Speaker 2: with you. You may look at the stat sheet from
- 25:31Speaker 2: his game against the Raiders and think twenty two carries
- 25:33Speaker 2: for eighty four yards was okay. He broke nine tackles
- 25:36Speaker 2: to get eighty four yards. Forty three of his eighty
- 25:39Speaker 2: four yards were after breaking tackles in a game the
- 25:42Speaker 2: Jags barely won. I think he will also contribute in
- 25:45Speaker 2: a narrow win in the division, as I'm all alone
- 25:49Speaker 2: taking the Jacksonville Jaguars. Snooze off game on the NFL
- 25:54Speaker 2: takes the field in Berlin for the first time as
- 25:57Speaker 2: the Falcons square off against the Colts in a historic
- 25:59Speaker 2: early morning showdown. Get ready to wake up and watch,
- 26:02Speaker 2: because here our stars come out out in the morning.
- 26:05Speaker 2: It's Sunday Morning Football. Sunday nine thirty am Eastern only
- 26:09Speaker 2: on NFL Network and streaming on NFL Plus. Subscription required
- 26:12Speaker 2: for NFL Plus visit plus dot NFL dot com for
- 26:17Speaker 2: hern It is time for more or less. We have
- 26:21Speaker 2: acquired our foam fingers here on stage five, so we
- 26:24Speaker 2: will discuss some player props for the Falcons Colts game
- 26:26Speaker 2: in Berlin. First up is Cynthia Freeland. John Robinson limited
- 26:30Speaker 2: to just forty six yards last week on the ground.
- 26:33Speaker 2: Does he go over sixty seven?
- 26:35Speaker 5: Well, he's got some weird splits, but I do think
- 26:37Speaker 5: he goes over that number in this matchup. I'm looking
- 26:41Speaker 5: at the opportunity against the Colt Snow and I'm watching
- 26:44Speaker 5: what Michael Pennix has done. And on third down he's
- 26:47Speaker 5: averaged six point four yards to go when he's throwing
- 26:50Speaker 5: behind the line of behind the sticks. It's just making
- 26:52Speaker 5: no sense. So run the football more use your guy.
- 26:55Speaker 5: I think it's more than sixty eight rushing yards. Again,
- 26:58Speaker 5: the splitz are weird. I feel better at scrimmageyards, but
- 27:00Speaker 5: we'll go thrush.
- 27:01Speaker 2: All right, Let's go to Greg Rosenthal. More or less
- 27:03Speaker 2: than nine three rushing yards for Jonathan Taylor.
- 27:06Speaker 3: You know the Steelers had a great plan to stop him.
- 27:08Speaker 3: I do not think the Falcons will be able to
- 27:10Speaker 3: have that same plan. So I am going more than
- 27:13Speaker 3: ninety three and a half rushing yards. The thing with
- 27:16Speaker 3: Jonathan Taylor, he only needs to have one or two
- 27:20Speaker 3: big runs to get over this number.
- 27:22Speaker 6: That's the type of explosion that he has.
- 27:24Speaker 3: The second level blocking by the by the Colts has
- 27:26Speaker 3: been great, not great on defense stopping the run for
- 27:29Speaker 3: the Falcons all year.
- 27:30Speaker 6: So yes, in Berlin, where my dad was born, who
- 27:35Speaker 6: wasn't there long?
- 27:36Speaker 3: A little longer than Cynthia'll be there this weekend. But yes,
- 27:39Speaker 3: Jonathan Taylor over all.
- 27:41Speaker 2: Right, let's go to the Falcons again. Drake London put
- 27:43Speaker 2: on a clinic last week against the Patriots. The number
- 27:46Speaker 2: here is seventy receiving yards, and I will go more.
- 27:49Speaker 2: I think that the Falcons will need to throw. I
- 27:52Speaker 2: don't think that Sauce Gardner is necessarily going to be
- 27:55Speaker 2: any concern because the Falcons do two things. Be befuddling
- 27:58Speaker 2: and throw the ball to the outside to Drake London,
- 28:01Speaker 2: where that's just where it's going. Sometimes it feels like
- 28:04Speaker 2: you could cut out large portions of the field and
- 28:06Speaker 2: the Falcons would still look the exact same. So yeah,
- 28:09Speaker 2: I think more than seventy for Drake London. And a
- 28:13Speaker 2: reminder to everybody to get up early Sunday morning and
- 28:16Speaker 2: also set your lineups to watch Falcons and Colt live
- 28:19Speaker 2: from Berlin kickoff at nine thirty am Eastern. Then next
- 28:22Speaker 2: week catch the Commanders and the Dolphins from Madrid. You
- 28:25Speaker 2: can watch both games on NFL Network as well as
- 28:28Speaker 2: NFL Plus.
- 28:31Speaker 8: William slings it, Loveland bows off his man, He's gonna
- 28:35Speaker 8: score home, Colston Lovelan.
- 28:40Speaker 10: In ain't sean trapper fifty eight yards on the catch
- 28:45Speaker 10: and run from the rookie and another meltdown by the
- 28:50Speaker 10: Cincinnati defense. This is one of the craziest games we
- 28:54Speaker 10: have seen in the NFL in recent memory.
- 28:58Speaker 2: Son for Once Ahead, presented by a Credit One Bank
- 29:01Speaker 2: Giants Bears, that Soldier Field Chicago. Coming of that wild
- 29:05Speaker 2: game with the Bengals, Jackson Dart as must see TV.
- 29:07Speaker 2: But did you see the Bears last week? I believe
- 29:10Speaker 2: it's another score fist. I've got thirty one to twenty
- 29:13Speaker 2: nine because a lot like the Bengals defense. And shout
- 29:17Speaker 2: out to the fan that said that they won't misstackles
- 29:21Speaker 2: defense will the Bears are non standard as well. They
- 29:23Speaker 2: do fun stuff. Caleb Williams is at his best when
- 29:26Speaker 2: the play is breaking down, and against a defense that's
- 29:29Speaker 2: pretty inconsistent in New York. They're rough against the run.
- 29:32Speaker 2: They're really bad against deep passing, have been for a
- 29:34Speaker 2: couple of years now. I feel great about this. Even
- 29:37Speaker 2: though my scores raizor close the Bears narrowly winning thirty
- 29:42Speaker 2: one to twenty nine.
- 29:42Speaker 5: I have a little bit more of a comfortable win there.
- 29:44Speaker 5: I have the Bears winning twenty seven to twenty two,
- 29:47Speaker 5: and I've made a promise. I'm going to keep talking
- 29:49Speaker 5: about running outside on this Giants defense until they improve it.
- 29:54Speaker 4: So let's just do that again.
- 29:55Speaker 5: Because Kyle Manungui showed us that if it's him getting
- 29:58Speaker 5: to start or no matter who's playing running back for
- 30:01Speaker 5: their maybe I think if Greg were playing running back
- 30:03Speaker 5: for the Bears, well, Gregs, he's getting you know where
- 30:05Speaker 5: he'd run to the outside. You know why he'd run
- 30:08Speaker 5: to the outside, because the Giants are giving up.
- 30:11Speaker 4: Like historic numbers to the outside.
- 30:13Speaker 5: If you're looking at every metric that matters, all the
- 30:15Speaker 5: explosive plays, all of the yards after contact, all the
- 30:18Speaker 5: yards before contact, all of the rushing yards over expected,
- 30:21Speaker 5: just anything that you can imagine, the number of last
- 30:24Speaker 5: or the one where the Giants are the most generous.
- 30:27Speaker 4: Here's a gift. Just run to the outside against is
- 30:29Speaker 4: We're we're actually not going to try to stop you.
- 30:31Speaker 5: So until they do that, I promise you, I'm gonna
- 30:34Speaker 5: keep talking about that.
- 30:34Speaker 2: And whoever the.
- 30:35Speaker 4: Giants play, this is this is my week.
- 30:37Speaker 3: This is my week to I know DeAndre Swift is
- 30:39Speaker 3: coming back from injury, but Ben Johnson put me in,
- 30:43Speaker 3: put me in the backfield. Anyone that runs behind Darnell
- 30:45Speaker 3: Right at right tackle, and this improving offensive line is
- 30:49Speaker 3: going to be absolutely fantastic. This right tackle is turning
- 30:53Speaker 3: into one of the biggest playmakers on the team. It's
- 30:56Speaker 3: not often we're talking about the big guy upfront, but
- 30:59Speaker 3: he is just putting people into the dirt and sometimes
- 31:03Speaker 3: like these.
- 31:04Speaker 6: People have families, Darnell, I mean, be easy on the guy.
- 31:08Speaker 3: It is really impressive to see a plan come together
- 31:12Speaker 3: and a coaching staff really improve on the talent that
- 31:15Speaker 3: was already there. And that's what I think that's happened
- 31:17Speaker 3: for Darnell Right especially, and I hope this is the
- 31:20Speaker 3: one that I'm looking at a watch out.
- 31:24Speaker 6: By the way, Caleb on that.
- 31:25Speaker 3: Game winner, that's an absolutely ridiculous yes throw for a
- 31:28Speaker 3: guy who doesn't always hit it right on his back foot.
- 31:31Speaker 6: I mean, not many quarterbacks canna make that throw. So
- 31:33Speaker 6: way to go.
- 31:34Speaker 2: Caleb, and way to go Greg and getting the spot
- 31:36Speaker 2: shadow highlights on a tackle. Not in draft season like
- 31:40Speaker 2: it's like, I'm like Poplop. It's making me think about
- 31:43Speaker 2: draft boards. Getting everybody ready. That's why you take somebody
- 31:46Speaker 2: like Darnel right, a big part of that Bears game
- 31:49Speaker 2: coming up. We're not just monsters of the midway. We're
- 31:51Speaker 2: at the midway point up the season, so it's time
- 31:54Speaker 2: to reassess. We've learned a lot these past nine weeks,
- 31:57Speaker 2: so we're giving you our updated pitch for who's gonna
- 32:00Speaker 2: win MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, and more, and
- 32:04Speaker 2: we will give those to you when we'd come back.
- 32:07Speaker 2: You're watching game debut. We are officially at the halfway
- 32:18Speaker 2: mark of the season, so it's time to forecast who
- 32:20Speaker 2: we think is going to walk away with some hardware
- 32:23Speaker 2: at the end of the year. Let's start with MVP
- 32:25Speaker 2: Cynthia as well as I would like to side with
- 32:29Speaker 2: Matthew Stafford. Only, wow, Greg, you're going with one Patrick Mahomes.
- 32:33Speaker 3: I am because this is a predictive thing we're doing,
- 32:36Speaker 3: we're not saying so far. And I think Patrick Mahomes
- 32:39Speaker 3: is the best player I've ever seen come into the league.
- 32:42Speaker 3: And I'm a loyal guy, and I've been married seventeen years,
- 32:46Speaker 3: I've been in an NFL network thirteen years, and I
- 32:50Speaker 3: picked Patrick Mahomes before the season. Nothing that he's done
- 32:54Speaker 3: so far would make me move off of that pick.
- 32:57Speaker 3: In fact, the offensive line, the weapons around him. In fact,
- 33:00Speaker 3: Josh Simmons, by the way, is back with the team,
- 33:02Speaker 3: so that's good news for the offense line. All makes
- 33:05Speaker 3: me think that by the end of the year, he's
- 33:08Speaker 3: gonna have numbers that are just undeniable and they're gonna
- 33:11Speaker 3: win a lot of games in the end. So you
- 33:14Speaker 3: just got to go with the younger guys. You know,
- 33:16Speaker 3: he's the younger, better version of Stafford. Sorry, why are
- 33:19Speaker 3: you sorry?
- 33:20Speaker 2: So to clarify, this is not a should, this is
- 33:24Speaker 2: a will.
- 33:24Speaker 6: This is a will. This is a will will win
- 33:26Speaker 6: MVP and just got put it down as.
- 33:30Speaker 4: Also answered it as who will.
- 33:31Speaker 2: Okay, so all wills, no shoulds here. Let's move to
- 33:35Speaker 2: the defensive Player of the Year. We've got different picks.
- 33:38Speaker 2: You like Greg's good friend Nick Benito.
- 33:40Speaker 5: Well number one, anyone who makes fun of Greg, we're
- 33:43Speaker 5: pals on this one. But Nick Benito is making a
- 33:46Speaker 5: very strong case for the award with his pressure rate
- 33:49Speaker 5: up there, with the sacks up there, with his ability
- 33:53Speaker 5: to just absolutely crush the hopes of quarterbacks and Greg.
- 33:57Speaker 5: You know that does help a little bit, Like you
- 33:59Speaker 5: tweet at Greg, Greg, we're gonna put you on the
- 34:01Speaker 5: show and we're gonna love you a ton. But I
- 34:03Speaker 5: also like his grill, which is really fun. And look,
- 34:06Speaker 5: I'm kind of being silly here. It's his play on
- 34:09Speaker 5: the field that I think has really stood out. This
- 34:11Speaker 5: is obviously a very good defense. They might go, you know,
- 34:14Speaker 5: wire to wire pretty much being a top three defense
- 34:17Speaker 5: in pressure rate and in large part because Benito with
- 34:21Speaker 5: Zach Allen, with all these things working together. But he's
- 34:24Speaker 5: kind of the straw that's storing the drink. So and
- 34:26Speaker 5: it makes ton of gregs so we like that too.
- 34:27Speaker 2: Yes, always a hit on this particular stage. I'll take
- 34:31Speaker 2: the last one. Offensive rookie of the year. Greg's going
- 34:34Speaker 2: with t Max. Cynthia and I are going with a
- 34:35Speaker 2: Mecca Buka because what a pairing he has been with
- 34:38Speaker 2: an aggressive quarterback like Baker Mayfield. And I know you
- 34:41Speaker 2: may be saying, Patrick, this is will, this is not
- 34:44Speaker 2: should and Jackson Dark plays quarterback. Yes, I understand all
- 34:48Speaker 2: of that, but I do think we go back to
- 34:51Speaker 2: the remember the CJ. Stroud Puka Nakua discussion and all
- 34:55Speaker 2: the things that Puka would ultimately have to do. I
- 34:58Speaker 2: think going back and looking at this and the way
- 35:01Speaker 2: that they're playing, he's not just catching getting tight window targets,
- 35:05Speaker 2: he's actually catching them as well. I've got a Mecca
- 35:07Speaker 2: Buka to win this.
- 35:08Speaker 5: It also really helps if you make the playoffs right,
- 35:10Speaker 5: because when you vote on it is the end of
- 35:11Speaker 5: the regular season typically, So that's why to me and
- 35:14Speaker 5: Mecca Luka is the one.
- 35:15Speaker 6: You know what else would help?
- 35:17Speaker 3: Knowing like I do that t Mac is going to
- 35:19Speaker 3: have about eight hundred more yards this season and finish
- 35:22Speaker 3: up with thirteen hundred and take this award in the end.
- 35:24Speaker 2: He knows what he's doing. He knows what he's doing.
- 35:26Speaker 2: Now here's the look at the current favorites for a
- 35:29Speaker 2: majority of the season long awards.
- 35:32Speaker 6: Oh, Josh, any of them?
- 35:34Speaker 2: Seventy five, Michah Parsons. There is Jackson Dart right along
- 35:38Speaker 2: with his teammate Abdula Carter. That's terrible, Shane Stuck.
- 35:42Speaker 3: No, so the heater you're out there voters like Dart
- 35:44Speaker 3: should not be the favorite.
- 35:46Speaker 6: He shouldn't win. I don't think Carter should be the
- 35:48Speaker 6: favorite either.
- 35:49Speaker 2: But that's the thing. Yeah, it's he plays quarterback, and
- 35:52Speaker 2: that's that's what all these awards are for, apparently quarterback.
- 35:56Speaker 2: It's time for quick picks as we make some more
- 35:58Speaker 2: quick picks here on game debut. The Browns and Jets
- 36:01Speaker 2: are at MetLife. Gang Green went a little while at
- 36:03Speaker 2: the trade deadline.
- 36:04Speaker 5: What takes place in Well, the Browns they are going
- 36:07Speaker 5: to win the football game twenty one to fourteen. I
- 36:09Speaker 5: have a not just a prime number here, but a
- 36:12Speaker 5: pretty significant.
- 36:13Speaker 6: I'm number A touchdown a touchdown. You know what.
- 36:16Speaker 4: Things are a little messy out there in New York.
- 36:20Speaker 5: Yeah, you don't think so, okay, but Quinn Shawn Jenkins
- 36:22Speaker 5: has been pretty great.
- 36:23Speaker 4: If you're looking at the opportunity to get yards after.
- 36:26Speaker 5: Contact, let me introduce you to a guy who's gotten
- 36:28Speaker 5: ninety six percent of his yards after contact, second most
- 36:31Speaker 5: of the league.
- 36:31Speaker 4: He has four rushes of thirty plus yards. That's tied
- 36:34Speaker 4: for most in the league.
- 36:35Speaker 5: The Jets Quinna Williams isn't there to stop him. Do
- 36:37Speaker 5: you guys know that when player gets traded away, they
- 36:40Speaker 5: don't actually still play that week?
- 36:41Speaker 6: That's fair.
- 36:42Speaker 3: But Patrick made a very inspiring speech on NFL Daily
- 36:45Speaker 3: that the Jets were going to be like the Cleveland
- 36:48Speaker 3: baseball team in Major League And that's honestly, you know what.
- 36:52Speaker 5: I don't know if anyone on those teams have seen
- 36:54Speaker 5: that movie, because it might be a little before their time.
- 36:56Speaker 4: But they don't get to play the player that they took.
- 37:00Speaker 2: They tried. That's that's why Justin Fields is going to
- 37:03Speaker 2: go up.
- 37:04Speaker 4: Oh Miles Garrett still there right, yeh is?
- 37:06Speaker 2: And there's only one thing left to do, well, win
- 37:09Speaker 2: the whole thing. I'll take this. Saints and the Panthers
- 37:14Speaker 2: all the chanther shock in the world last week in Lambeau.
- 37:18Speaker 2: Do they keep it going here? Greg?
- 37:20Speaker 6: They do?
- 37:21Speaker 3: But I was interested to see that the Panthers are
- 37:23Speaker 3: favored for the first time all season and it's by
- 37:25Speaker 3: five and a half points, so I do think the
- 37:27Speaker 3: Saints keep it closer. But let's give some love to
- 37:30Speaker 3: the Panthers. First of all, have they had a video
- 37:32Speaker 3: clip on this show all season?
- 37:33Speaker 6: I don't even know. Their defense certainly hasn't.
- 37:36Speaker 3: And you know what, they're mixing up their coverages better
- 37:39Speaker 3: each and up every week.
- 37:40Speaker 6: I think they're building.
- 37:42Speaker 3: They've had some good continuity in terms of Giro Everro
- 37:45Speaker 3: being there as their coordinator, and they have two good players.
- 37:47Speaker 6: So what you're seeing here is j. C.
- 37:48Speaker 3: Horn, who is turning into an all Pro type of cornerback,
- 37:52Speaker 3: and then Tron Morrig who's been a really good free
- 37:54Speaker 3: agent pickup, making a lot of plays in coverage and
- 37:58Speaker 3: near the line of scrimmage, kind of.
- 37:59Speaker 6: Like the nfc S Kyle Hamilton.
- 38:01Speaker 3: He's not that guy, but he's that style of play
- 38:04Speaker 3: and it's one of the reasons why they are over
- 38:06Speaker 3: five hundred now.
- 38:07Speaker 6: So let's go Panthers.
- 38:08Speaker 2: Yeah, a nice season for the folks in Carolina. Let's
- 38:12Speaker 2: go to the Bills and the Dolphins. Buffalo coming off
- 38:13Speaker 2: with a big win over the Chiefs. I think they
- 38:16Speaker 2: eked this one out, actually, twenty seven to twenty five
- 38:18Speaker 2: off a closer score, because I would like to discuss
- 38:20Speaker 2: Jalen Waddle and the opportunity against this Buffalo Bills secondary
- 38:24Speaker 2: that looked incredible. Maxwell Harrison has come over and fixed
- 38:28Speaker 2: everything against Kansas City, where maybe the abilities of the
- 38:35Speaker 2: Kansas City receivers making moves getting open doesn't necessarily measure
- 38:40Speaker 2: up to the teams that have been able to cause
- 38:41Speaker 2: problems for Buffalo. I think Jalen Waddle and maybe one
- 38:44Speaker 2: of the last games with Tua that's starring quarterback perhaps
- 38:49Speaker 2: has a good opportunity here. But we're all on the Bills.
- 38:51Speaker 2: When we come back, it's our favorite time of the week,
- 38:54Speaker 2: it's time for write this down. We're dishing out our
- 38:56Speaker 2: favorite player props for week ten. Greg and I have
- 38:59Speaker 2: been hot and on fire the one place where recently
- 39:03Speaker 2: we've been beating Cynthia nowhere else. We'll see what we
- 39:07Speaker 2: all picked when we come back on game debut. Get
- 39:16Speaker 2: a pennon paper. It's time for write this down as
- 39:18Speaker 2: we have for you some prop predictions for week ten
- 39:21Speaker 2: and starting.
- 39:22Speaker 6: Us all, I've hit three in a row.
- 39:24Speaker 3: I'm gonna make it four with Davis Mills and that
- 39:28Speaker 3: that inspired laughter in our production meeting. I believe in
- 39:31Speaker 3: Davis Mills. He started a lot of games early in
- 39:33Speaker 3: his career, and I believe in the matchup against the
- 39:35Speaker 3: Jacksonville Jaguars, I think getting ready to start. He hasn't
- 39:39Speaker 3: started in about three seasons. But they trusted him enough
- 39:43Speaker 3: that they gave him a long term extension because they.
- 39:46Speaker 6: Like him, because he helped them win.
- 39:47Speaker 3: A game that actually they didn't want to win, at
- 39:50Speaker 3: least the ownership didn't, and that wound up getting him.
- 39:52Speaker 9: C J.
- 39:53Speaker 3: Stroud and you know what, we had a big conversation
- 39:55Speaker 3: about next last week and I just got to say,
- 39:58Speaker 3: I'm sticking my neck out for this game. And I
- 40:01Speaker 3: don't think Davis Mills can be overlooked in any conversation,
- 40:04Speaker 3: including about neck.
- 40:06Speaker 4: He has an epic neck, that's for sure. All right.
- 40:08Speaker 5: I need to get back on the right side of
- 40:10Speaker 5: good here, and that is with Saquon Barkley to have
- 40:12Speaker 5: more than two receptions, so at least three.
- 40:18Speaker 4: What I'm sorry the next step?
- 40:20Speaker 2: No, Greg? Greg? Greg had a one liner there.
- 40:23Speaker 4: It was good sayings stuck my neck out, he stuck here. Okay,
- 40:26Speaker 4: it was great, a good dad joke.
- 40:27Speaker 5: We love it all right sake one Barkley more than
- 40:29Speaker 5: two and a half for receptions. Who's going to catch
- 40:30Speaker 5: at least three balls in this matchup? SA one has
- 40:33Speaker 5: a good neck too. He doesn't want to be left
- 40:35Speaker 5: out of this neck conversation. Maybe not an epic neck,
- 40:37Speaker 5: but a very good one.
- 40:38Speaker 2: Yeah, you know it helps you have good form on
- 40:40Speaker 2: all your exercises. And a guy who got a lot
- 40:42Speaker 2: of exercise over on our show, NFL Fantasy Live, which
- 40:45Speaker 2: you can see week nights at six o'clock.
- 40:47Speaker 4: Oh, there you go.
- 40:47Speaker 2: I'm on an NFL network. We have a stat for
- 40:49Speaker 2: the cardio king. We crown them an incredible number. For
- 40:53Speaker 2: Romo Dunday last week he ran two thousand and nine
- 40:55Speaker 2: yards and zero catches. I think he will have fifty
- 40:58Speaker 2: three more than fifty three yards against the Giants. For
- 41:02Speaker 2: Cynthia Freeland and Greg rose Ball, I'm Patrick Clabo. Thanks
- 41:04Speaker 2: for watching Gain in Ofview, See you next week.
