- 0:10Speaker 1: Broadcasting coast to coast and border to border from Memphis, Tennessee.
- 0:15Speaker 2: That's us.
- 0:17Speaker 3: That's right.
- 0:19Speaker 4: Our love is American.
- 0:21Speaker 5: Right.
- 0:23Speaker 6: Todd Starr. Oh, yeah. Oh, well.
- 0:26Speaker 7: Hello, everybody. Welcome. This is the Todd Stearns Radio Show,
- 0:30Speaker 7: hour one of the program. Great to have you with
- 0:34Speaker 7: us as we begin our broadcast day. And we have
- 0:39Speaker 7: a fun show for you today, folks. No doubt about that.
- 0:41Speaker 7: We're going to be talking about politics. We have a
- 0:43Speaker 7: lot of ground to cover. Also, we're excited to have
- 0:48Speaker 7: Luke Smallbone joining us. He is part of the Grammy
- 0:52Speaker 7: award-winning pop duo King & Country. Is it for King & Country?
- 0:57Speaker 7: So Luke Smallbone is going to be with us in
- 1:00Speaker 7: just a little while. The topic, by the way, they've
- 1:03Speaker 7: got a brand new movie coming out called Drummer Boy. Also,
- 1:07Speaker 7: Aaron Burns is going to be here. He is the
- 1:09Speaker 7: director of the new movie about the life and times
- 1:12Speaker 7: of Jimmy Stewart. And so that movie called Jimmy Movie,
- 1:17Speaker 7: that's coming out as well. So a lot of fun.
- 1:20Speaker 7: And Chad Conley is going to be here and our
- 1:22Speaker 7: good friend Kyle Campbell taking a look at politics out
- 1:25Speaker 7: on the left coast. So a lot of ground to cover. And,
- 1:29Speaker 7: of course, we're going to be taking your calls, 901-260-5926.
- 1:31Speaker 7: That's 901-260-5926. Dylan, you know what I forgot to do yesterday?
- 1:41Speaker 4: What was that?
- 1:43Speaker 7: We forgot to tell people it was the big birthday.
- 1:46Speaker 4: Yeah, you did. Someone called in. One person called in.
- 1:49Speaker 7: I was so out of it. I had driven through
- 1:52Speaker 7: the night. Here's how bad it was. I should have
- 1:56Speaker 7: stopped midway from North Georgia to Memphis, but I said,
- 2:02Speaker 7: I'm going to persevere. I'm going to just persevere. Just
- 2:06Speaker 7: suck it up and get home. And I was about
- 2:09Speaker 7: 20 miles from home when I thought, I can't drive anymore.
- 2:14Speaker 7: I'm going to have to get a hotel 20 miles
- 2:16Speaker 7: from home.
- 2:18Speaker 4: Yeah, you do that, Todd.
- 2:20Speaker 3: And I don't know why.
- 2:21Speaker 4: You should ask us for help.
- 2:22Speaker 7: I know. Well, you never answer the text messages unless
- 2:26Speaker 7: it's like daylight hours.
- 2:27Speaker 4: It's a good point. But I also feel like it
- 2:30Speaker 4: was like 2 or 3 a.m. when you were here.
- 2:32Speaker 7: So I did. I got in about 2 o'clock in
- 2:34Speaker 7: the morning. And so yesterday was sort of a blur.
- 2:37Speaker 7: People said, how did you spend your birthday? I literally
- 2:40Speaker 7: went home and went to bed. That was it. And
- 2:43Speaker 7: it was the greatest birthday present I've gotten in decades.
- 2:48Speaker 7: Not to mention, you guys surprised me. It was nice.
- 2:51Speaker 7: My favorite pie is pecan pie. And you guys gave
- 2:55Speaker 7: me a pecan pie.
- 2:56Speaker 4: It's all yours because none of us like pecan pie here.
- 2:58Speaker 7: It was delicious.
- 2:59Speaker 4: Good. We also had Dr. Pepper, you know, loaded up
- 3:03Speaker 4: the fridge.
- 3:03Speaker 7: Had the Dr.
- 3:04Speaker 8: Pepper.
- 3:04Speaker 7: It was wonderful. So I've got to tell you. So
- 3:07Speaker 7: first of all, 59 years old. May I just say something?
- 3:11Speaker 7: And this is to anybody who is, you know, 59.
- 3:14Speaker 7: Because a lot of people, when you hear the numbers 59...
- 3:19Speaker 7: you think, wow, that's getting up there. But I got
- 3:24Speaker 7: to tell you, I don't feel like I'm 59. You know,
- 3:28Speaker 7: I feel like as, you know, now that I've gotten,
- 3:31Speaker 7: you know, 12 hours of sleep, I feel like, you know,
- 3:33Speaker 7: I'm in my 30s maybe or 20s. I just don't
- 3:37Speaker 7: feel like I'm supposed to feel, and I'm not really
- 3:39Speaker 7: sure if we're supposed to feel a certain age or not.
- 3:42Speaker 7: But I keep thinking back to grandparents. And did the grandparents,
- 3:46Speaker 7: when they were in their late 50s, early 60s, did
- 3:50Speaker 7: they feel the same way or did they feel like
- 3:52Speaker 7: they were grandparents?
- 3:55Speaker 4: That's a good point.
- 3:56Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 3:57Speaker 4: We should ask a grandparent.
- 4:00Speaker 7: Maybe we should. I'm asking our listeners because I'm not
- 4:04Speaker 7: sure if you're supposed to act or be a certain way,
- 4:07Speaker 7: but I still feel very young. I will say this.
- 4:10Speaker 7: I was offered a senior discount. at a restaurant in California.
- 4:16Speaker 7: And I took that discount. I was not offended at all.
- 4:20Speaker 7: They said, sir, because I went in early. It was
- 4:23Speaker 7: like the early bird special.
- 4:25Speaker 3: And I.
- 4:28Speaker 7: Was just driving, and I've been driving, and I thought,
- 4:30Speaker 7: you know what, I want to grab a quick bite.
- 4:32Speaker 7: And it just happened to be in that time when
- 4:34Speaker 7: all the senior citizens were lining up for their supper,
- 4:37Speaker 7: which is normally, what, 4.30. They eat early because they
- 4:40Speaker 7: go to bed early. And so they said, would you
- 4:45Speaker 7: like that? I said, absolutely. Give me that discount. But
- 4:50Speaker 7: I think you actually had to be like 65 in
- 4:53Speaker 7: real life to get the senior discount.
- 4:55Speaker 4: Oh, so you cheated the discount.
- 4:57Speaker 7: No, they asked if I would like it. I'm sure
- 5:00Speaker 7: I'd like it. Doesn't mean I'm qualified. But again, they
- 5:03Speaker 7: don't ask for any ID in California. So that's on them.
- 5:06Speaker 4: There you go. Well, good on you.
- 5:09Speaker 7: So now you have a lot of young people that
- 5:11Speaker 7: are cheating the system. As a matter of fact, that's
- 5:13Speaker 7: what I would do. If I was a young person,
- 5:15Speaker 7: I would ask for the discount. And how dare you
- 5:18Speaker 7: question me? You ageist person, you.
- 5:20Speaker 4: It's a great idea.
- 5:23Speaker 7: So anyway, had a great birthday celebration. And just want
- 5:26Speaker 7: to say thank you again to all of our friends
- 5:28Speaker 7: in Gainesville, Georgia. We had such a great time. And Dylan,
- 5:33Speaker 7: you had Miss Susie from Jefferson, Georgia. Miss Susie and
- 5:37Speaker 7: her friend, Miss Martha, they drove over. They made the
- 5:41Speaker 7: long drive over from Jefferson, Georgia. And they were one
- 5:44Speaker 7: of the first people in line. And they asked about you.
- 5:48Speaker 7: We had several people ask about you.
- 5:50Speaker 4: That's very kind.
- 5:51Speaker 7: Miss Susie, by the way, I'm just passing along this message.
- 5:54Speaker 7: You know what's coming. I'm passing on the message.
- 5:57Speaker 6: Ms.
- 5:57Speaker 7: Susie pointed out that you and Mrs. Producer have been
- 6:02Speaker 7: married long enough now that you should start having children.
- 6:06Speaker 4: Thank you, Ms.
- 6:06Speaker 9: Susie.
- 6:07Speaker 7: She's just looking out for you.
- 6:09Speaker 4: Yeah, I appreciate it. It's not the first person that
- 6:11Speaker 4: tells me that, but I appreciate you, Ms.
- 6:13Speaker 9: Susie.
- 6:14Speaker 7: So one of the other– and Gwen from Athens– no,
- 6:17Speaker 7: Gina from Athens came. A lot of these folks– Little
- 6:21Speaker 7: Big Mouth came by, and it was great to see everybody.
- 6:26Speaker 4: Did he introduce himself as Little Big Mouth?
- 6:27Speaker 3: No, no, no.
- 6:28Speaker 7: He did not come by. He left a package where
- 6:30Speaker 7: he had a little happy birthday gift thing with some
- 6:33Speaker 7: nice shirts, pro-Trump shirts.
- 6:35Speaker 10: Nice.
- 6:36Speaker 7: And people were just as kind as all get out.
- 6:39Speaker 7: But you know how I have a tendency to overshare?
- 6:43Speaker 7: on the program every now and again.
- 6:45Speaker 10: No.
- 6:46Speaker 4: Todd Starnes?
- 6:47Speaker 7: And you know how I've been telling people I'm trying
- 6:49Speaker 7: to eat healthy? What they miss is, and that's true,
- 6:52Speaker 7: I am trying to eat healthy, but there's a specific
- 6:56Speaker 7: word in there that is very important to this conversation.
- 6:59Speaker 7: It's the word trying, which means that not all the time.
- 7:04Speaker 7: So everything I'm about to share is really on me.
- 7:08Speaker 7: And we're going to get, bear with me, we're going
- 7:09Speaker 7: to get to politics in a minute, but I've got
- 7:10Speaker 7: to get this off my chest. So we went to
- 7:14Speaker 7: my favorite restaurant in Gainesville, Georgia, the Longstreet Cafe, and
- 7:18Speaker 7: they literally wanted to roll out the red carpet. And
- 7:21Speaker 7: we're like, no, no, no, no, we're not that pretentious.
- 7:23Speaker 7: You just point the way to the buffet because it
- 7:26Speaker 7: really is one of the best southern restaurants in the nation.
- 7:31Speaker 7: So I'm going through the line, and I'm looking at
- 7:34Speaker 7: all of the just piles of golden fried chicken and
- 7:39Speaker 7: piles of golden fried chicken tenders. And then there was
- 7:43Speaker 7: the incredible meatloaf. I mean, just as far as the
- 7:48Speaker 7: eye could see, there were things that would clog your arteries.
- 7:51Speaker 7: And again, I've been talking about on the radio show
- 7:53Speaker 7: about trying to eat healthy. And as I'm walking through,
- 7:56Speaker 7: just my mouth is watering, and I'm like, I'm about
- 7:59Speaker 7: to eat a great meal. And the owner of the
- 8:04Speaker 7: restaurant comes by and says, no, no, Todd, you come
- 8:07Speaker 7: with us. We have got a special thing prepared just
- 8:10Speaker 7: for you. And I thought, oh, my gosh, they have steaks,
- 8:14Speaker 7: the whole nine. I was so excited. They lead me
- 8:18Speaker 7: to the table, and then they come with the big plate.
- 8:22Speaker 7: And I could tell there was a lot of stuff
- 8:24Speaker 7: piled on that plate, Dylan. And then they put that
- 8:26Speaker 7: plate down in front of me. There was plain white rice.
- 8:31Speaker 7: And on top of the plain white rice was a
- 8:35Speaker 7: piece of poached salmon. And next to the salmon was
- 8:39Speaker 7: something called a green bean. And there must have been,
- 8:42Speaker 7: I don't know, two gallons of green beans on that plate.
- 8:47Speaker 7: And I'm thinking, am I being punked here? And then
- 8:50Speaker 7: I realized they think I'm eating healthy.
- 8:54Speaker 4: Yeah, you did that one to yourself.
- 8:55Speaker 7: They think I'm eating healthy.
- 8:57Speaker 4: Yeah, that's tough.
- 8:59Speaker 7: They wanted me to live. And you know, so I'm
- 9:02Speaker 7: trying to, man, I did it to myself.
- 9:05Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what happens when you tell people you're trying
- 9:08Speaker 4: to eat better.
- 9:09Speaker 7: And I was afraid to ask for some chicken because
- 9:11Speaker 7: I thought it might come out poached or something too.
- 9:13Speaker 7: I want that sucker deep fried.
- 9:15Speaker 6: I'm like, got any.
- 9:16Speaker 7: Gravy for the salmon? Just pour some gravy on top.
- 9:22Speaker 7: How about a biscuit sandwich?
- 9:24Speaker 4: Yeah. No, I mean, I would view your trip out
- 9:26Speaker 4: there to Gainesville, Georgia as a vacation. So it doesn't
- 9:30Speaker 4: count if you eat back. It doesn't count.
- 9:32Speaker 7: So I will say this as we were, as I was,
- 9:36Speaker 7: and again, by the way, it was great food. So
- 9:38Speaker 7: they do health food really well. I just didn't know
- 9:40Speaker 7: you could get that kind of a stuff at a country,
- 9:43Speaker 7: you know, eating establishment. So I had to stop by
- 9:48Speaker 7: Burger King on the way back home.
- 9:53Speaker 4: You didn't get the salmon from Burger King?
- 9:54Speaker 7: No, I didn't get the fish sandwich. I'm like, give
- 9:57Speaker 7: me a Whopper, please. Supersize that bad boy. All that
- 10:03Speaker 7: to say, thank you again to everyone in Gainesville. We
- 10:07Speaker 7: had such a wonderful time. And we're going to be
- 10:10Speaker 7: doing some of these events next year at our other
- 10:12Speaker 7: affiliates around the nation. But it has been a great
- 10:15Speaker 7: season of getting out and meeting all of you great
- 10:18Speaker 7: folks and And really having those conversations and sharing a
- 10:22Speaker 7: lot of laughs. And, you know, people are always surprised
- 10:25Speaker 7: because they said a lot of the national radio hosts,
- 10:27Speaker 7: they don't like to do this. You know, they don't
- 10:29Speaker 7: like to get to the smaller towns and communities. And
- 10:32Speaker 7: I love it. I absolutely love it. If we could
- 10:34Speaker 7: do the show on the road every day. I would
- 10:37Speaker 7: be out there doing that because there's just really something
- 10:40Speaker 7: about being able to shake the hands of the people
- 10:43Speaker 7: that listen to your show and got a lot of hugs, Dylan.
- 10:46Speaker 7: I'm just going to tell you, there was a lot
- 10:48Speaker 7: of hugging going on there at the Longstreet Cafe.
- 10:52Speaker 4: Well, you're like family, so?
- 10:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:54Speaker 4: It's like a family reunion.
- 10:55Speaker 6: It is.
- 10:56Speaker 10: It is. All right.
- 10:58Speaker 7: So our telephone number, by the way, 901-260-5926. If you're
- 11:02Speaker 7: at the event, we'd love to hear from you. 901-260-5926,
- 11:07Speaker 7: our telephone number. We're going to be playing some audio
- 11:12Speaker 7: here from Speaker Mike Johnson. Now, the speaker was on
- 11:17Speaker 7: Fox & Friends earlier today, and he is feeling really
- 11:22Speaker 7: bullish right now. about the chances of the Republicans. As
- 11:27Speaker 7: a matter of fact, he says that the majority in
- 11:30Speaker 7: the House is safe, and he believes that the polling
- 11:34Speaker 7: data out there is going to be historically wrong. Take
- 11:39Speaker 7: a listen.
- 11:40Speaker 8: But you're on the ground and you're trying to keep
- 11:42Speaker 8: hold of a slim majority in the House.
- 11:45Speaker 11: And I know you've been talking optimistically.
- 11:46Speaker 12: What specifically makes you optimistic that you're going to buck
- 11:50Speaker 12: all these.
- 11:51Speaker 8: Pollsters who say that the House is in Democratic hands already?
- 11:56Speaker 6: Look, Brian, I'm very excited.
- 11:57Speaker 13: I've been traveling nonstop campaigning just this month in more
- 12:00Speaker 13: than 40 districts across 22 states. I'll be campaigning in
- 12:03Speaker 13: five states today. I'm here in Cincinnati, Ohio, with Eric Conroy,
- 12:06Speaker 13: an Air Force veteran who's going to flip a blue
- 12:08Speaker 13: seat to red. They'll go to Minnesota, Wisconsin. I'll be
- 12:11Speaker 13: in Arizona, New Mexico all today. We're with extraordinary candidates,
- 12:15Speaker 13: superior candidates over the Democrats. We have a better record
- 12:17Speaker 13: to run on. And the American people know what is
- 12:20Speaker 13: happening here. Republicans have delivered on our promises in 2024.
- 12:23Speaker 13: We brought down costs. We cut their taxes in the
- 12:26Speaker 13: largest tax cut in U.S.
- 12:27Speaker 10: History.
- 12:28Speaker 13: We made their streets safer. We're returning to American dominance.
- 12:31Speaker 13: The Democrats voted against all of that. And people are
- 12:34Speaker 13: looking at record over rhetoric.
- 12:35Speaker 6: I am absolutely.
- 12:36Speaker 13: Convinced huge crowds all over the country from New York
- 12:39Speaker 13: to California, from Alaska with Nick Begich running for the
- 12:41Speaker 13: House up there all the way to South Florida. We
- 12:44Speaker 13: have gigantic crowds, big excitement. It feels just like 2024
- 12:47Speaker 13: to me. And I'm telling you, the polls are going
- 12:49Speaker 13: to be historically wrong in this midterm election.
- 12:52Speaker 7: Are you feeling that as well, ladies and gentlemen, or
- 12:55Speaker 7: do you believe that the speaker is off base here?
- 12:58Speaker 7: Because the polls have really been all over the place.
- 13:01Speaker 7: They circled back around over the past week or two
- 13:04Speaker 7: to be in favor of the Republicans. Now they're starting
- 13:07Speaker 7: to swing the other way. How do you feel about
- 13:10Speaker 7: all of this? 901-260-5926 is our telephone number. That's 901-260-5926.
- 13:18Speaker 7: We'll be right back. Remember back in 2020 when the
- 13:21Speaker 7: media narrative was absolute, when anybody suggesting early alternatives was
- 13:26Speaker 7: instantly silenced and deplatformed? The late Dr. Zev Zelenko was
- 13:30Speaker 7: right at the epicenter of it all when he created
- 13:33Speaker 7: Z-Stack and the Zelenko Protocol. He took immense heat for
- 13:37Speaker 7: sharing his protocol, specifically designed to boost your immune system.
- 13:43Speaker 7: Even President Trump himself cited him in a press briefing
- 13:46Speaker 7: regarding what would become known as the Zelenko Protocol, which
- 13:51Speaker 7: led to Trump himself adopting it. Now, I just saw
- 13:54Speaker 7: the video on X and saw it for myself. Amazing.
- 13:58Speaker 7: Every key ingredient behind those protocols was meticulously chosen based
- 14:03Speaker 7: on rigorous research at the exact doses that matter. Now,
- 14:06Speaker 7: over five years later, history has completely vindicated him. Now
- 14:11Speaker 7: we all know how critical a strong immune system is.
- 14:14Speaker 7: And if you've ever felt helpless watching the headlines, hear this.
- 14:18Speaker 7: You are not powerless. There is something you can do
- 14:21Speaker 7: about it. ZStack gives your body the foundational immune support
- 14:25Speaker 7: it needs to help fight off whatever is circulating out there.
- 14:29Speaker 7: Don't wait for permission to take charge of your immune system.
- 14:33Speaker 7: And now they have the biggest discount they've ever offered.
- 14:36Speaker 7: Get started today for just $ 4. 95 plus shipping and handling.
- 14:40Speaker 7: Get the biggest discount in their history at ZStackLife.com. Again,
- 14:46Speaker 7: that's ZStackLife.com. All right, President Trump in South Carolina and
- 15:00Speaker 7: the Republicans here are in a world of hurt. There
- 15:04Speaker 7: is a lot of concern that Darlene Graham, who is
- 15:06Speaker 7: just simply not all that popular, could be facing a
- 15:10Speaker 7: full-scale rebellion. within the Republican ranks. And President Trump is
- 15:16Speaker 7: going to be holding a rally today in Rock Hill,
- 15:19Speaker 7: South Carolina. A lot of folks already boots on the
- 15:23Speaker 7: ground out there as they get ready to see President Trump.
- 15:28Speaker 7: Here's a young man who is a student at Winthrop
- 15:32Speaker 7: University on the golf. I think the entire golf team
- 15:34Speaker 7: turned out to support President Trump. Take a listen.
- 15:38Speaker 6: Why do you think this race is so close?
- 15:40Speaker 7: I think it's so close.
- 15:41Speaker 10: I think people are a little bit fed up with
- 15:42Speaker 10: the economy a little bit, but I think still at
- 15:44Speaker 10: the same point, like, Trump and his team are.
- 15:47Speaker 3: Doing the right things.
- 15:47Speaker 10: You get food in people's houses, and I think my
- 15:51Speaker 10: vote stands with them all the way.
- 15:53Speaker 14: If President Trump resumes this air war against Iran, would
- 15:55Speaker 14: you guys support that?
- 15:57Speaker 11: I support most everything he does.
- 15:58Speaker 10: We're GOP all the way, so that's my stance on it.
- 16:02Speaker 7: Yeah, I love that, and it's good to see young
- 16:04Speaker 7: people out there at these rallies. We need Gen Zers
- 16:07Speaker 7: to get out and vote on Election Day. By the way,
- 16:10Speaker 7: you folks in Tennessee, today, the last day of early voting,
- 16:14Speaker 7: so be sure to get out. The numbers are just
- 16:17Speaker 7: off the charts, well over a million people. Same thing
- 16:20Speaker 7: in Georgia, by the way. You guys are really getting
- 16:23Speaker 7: out the vote. This guy wants to deputize American citizens.
- 16:29Speaker 7: Cut 45. What brings you out here to support Trump today?
- 16:32Speaker 4: I love Trump.
- 16:33Speaker 7: I love the Republican Party.
- 16:34Speaker 3: I love America.
- 16:35Speaker 8: Alright.
- 16:36Speaker 7: Well, give a message to President Donald Trump. Keep up
- 16:39Speaker 7: the good work.
- 16:39Speaker 6: Drain the deep state government.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Bury the Democrat traitors to this country.
- 16:44Speaker 7: Deport all the illegal immigrants.
- 16:46Speaker 6: And if you need to, deputize the American citizens. We
- 16:49Speaker 6: will do it for the ICE agents.
- 16:52Speaker 3: There you go.
- 16:53Speaker 7: Oscar the Grouch, ready to go today.
- 16:54Speaker 3: Love it.
- 16:55Speaker 7: Love the attitude. We'll see you soon.
- 16:56Speaker 10: Love you, Trump.
- 16:57Speaker 7: God bless you, sir. Yeah, folks, I'm telling you, that
- 17:01Speaker 7: is a genuine, that is authenticity. These people are fired up.
- 17:07Speaker 7: and they love our president. My question is, is that
- 17:11Speaker 7: going to be enough to move the needle on Election Day?
- 17:13Speaker 7: And that really is the big question. CNN, for example,
- 17:18Speaker 7: I want to play this audio. CNN now admitting that
- 17:22Speaker 7: According to a New York Times poll, that the Democrat
- 17:25Speaker 7: Party has just gone too far to the left, cut 33.
- 17:28Speaker 8: Some data about how the Democratic Party is perceived. This
- 17:31Speaker 8: comes from the New York Times and CNN. Put that
- 17:33Speaker 8: on the screen. 49 percent, this is of overall voters,
- 17:37Speaker 8: 49 percent say the Democratic Party is too far left.
- 17:41Speaker 8: Half of Americans think the party is too far left.
- 17:43Speaker 8: Within the party, 63 percent say, you know, the porridge
- 17:47Speaker 8: is not too hot, not too cold.
- 17:48Speaker 6: It's just right.
- 17:49Speaker 8: 63 percent say we're not too far either way.
- 17:53Speaker 7: I'm telling you, I think Speaker Mike Johnson is on
- 17:56Speaker 7: to something here. 901-260-5926. Let's go to Nevada. Lucky listening
- 18:02Speaker 7: to us on the great radio affiliate KELY. Hi, Lucky.
- 18:07Speaker 7: What's on your mind today?
- 18:09Speaker 15: Well, I'm 75 years old, and I never read a
- 18:13Speaker 15: book that said that when you got 75 or when
- 18:17Speaker 15: you got 65, you had to do certain things. But
- 18:21Speaker 15: I had a grandmother who, when she turned 65, she
- 18:23Speaker 15: sat down and she started saying, go get me some water.
- 18:27Speaker 15: Go get me this and go get me that. And
- 18:29Speaker 15: we all got it for her. And she stopped using
- 18:33Speaker 15: her body. So she got old really fast.
- 18:38Speaker 7: What do you mean she stopped using her body?
- 18:41Speaker 15: Well, she didn't get up to get things.
- 18:43Speaker 7: She felt, I'm 65, so.
- 18:45Speaker 15: Go get this for me, and you should do this
- 18:47Speaker 15: for me. And she stopped doing things for herself. Well,
- 18:50Speaker 15: when I got 65, I didn't say I was 65,
- 18:54Speaker 15: go do this, go do that. I kept doing the
- 18:56Speaker 15: things I was doing. And I've had a hip replacement,
- 19:00Speaker 15: so I don't dance as well as I used to,
- 19:02Speaker 15: but I still like to dance. And I still like
- 19:05Speaker 15: everything in life that I liked before. And my body
- 19:09Speaker 15: will tell me when I can't do certain things. I
- 19:12Speaker 15: joined a senior center because I was over 65. And
- 19:17Speaker 15: at my senior center here in Eli, they're all youthful
- 19:23Speaker 15: people at our age. They like to play bingo, yeah,
- 19:27Speaker 15: but we get up and jump and say, yeah, I
- 19:29Speaker 15: got that bingo and move around. And we do exercise classes.
- 19:38Speaker 7: So you're young at heart, Lucky, is what you're saying.
- 19:40Speaker 7: Young at heart, young at mind. Lucky, good for you.
- 19:44Speaker 7: And I love to hear that. She's energized. She's out
- 19:47Speaker 7: there exercising. Be careful for the... twerking. You might throw
- 19:51Speaker 7: that hip out again. So you don't want to do that.
- 19:54Speaker 3: All right.
- 19:54Speaker 7: Hang tight, everybody. Got to take a quick break.
- 19:56Speaker 5: 901-260-5926.
- 19:56Speaker 7: This is the Todd Stern Show. All right, welcome back, everybody.
- 20:16Speaker 7: This is the Todd Stearns Radio Show. Great to have
- 20:19Speaker 7: you with us today. Our telephone number, 901-260-5926. Again, that's 901-260-5926.
- 20:27Speaker 7: Want to play some audio here. Again, folks are just
- 20:33Speaker 7: really frustrated around the nation about what is happening with
- 20:38Speaker 7: the Democrats in charge not only of their politics, of
- 20:41Speaker 7: their state politics, but also their local politics. This is
- 20:45Speaker 7: a California resident, and she is fired up over the
- 20:48Speaker 7: Compton City Council. Take a listen to Cut 44. Hell,
- 20:52Speaker 7: people are drowning in this city.
- 20:55Speaker 16: You have seniors who couldn't make, who are not going
- 20:58Speaker 16: to be able to move.
- 21:00Speaker 2: But you're not trying to take care of them because
- 21:02Speaker 2: you have no balls.
- 21:04Speaker 11: You're cowards.
- 21:05Speaker 2: You're punks.
- 21:06Speaker 6: You ain't sh * *.
- 21:08Speaker 4: This is ridiculous.
- 21:11Speaker 2: It's ridiculous.
- 21:13Speaker 15: We have to come up here and fight for stuff
- 21:14Speaker 15: that we have.
- 21:15Speaker 17: Vanessa.
- 21:17Speaker 11: No, don't say nothing to me.
- 21:18Speaker 6: Because as long as we are paying.
- 21:20Speaker 18: Taxes in the city, you better do our damn work
- 21:23Speaker 18: for us.
- 21:25Speaker 7: Yeah, look, a lot of people are really frustrated out there.
- 21:28Speaker 7: And we've been telling you this for quite some time.
- 21:32Speaker 7: For example, it's not just the regular things that are
- 21:35Speaker 7: happening out there, the day-to-day life, but also the illegal
- 21:40Speaker 7: aliens and the fact that Democrats in charge have simply
- 21:45Speaker 7: turned a blind eye So what's been happening out there
- 21:49Speaker 7: with the attacks on law-abiding American citizens? I want you
- 21:53Speaker 7: to listen to Alexis Nungary. She is the mother of Jocelyn,
- 21:58Speaker 7: who was murdered by an illegal alien. And President Trump
- 22:03Speaker 7: invited her to deliver a message at one of his rallies.
- 22:07Speaker 7: Cut 35. Hello, everybody, and good afternoon.
- 22:11Speaker 17: I would like to take this opportunity to thank President
- 22:14Speaker 17: Trump for keeping my daughter, Jocelyn Nungari's name alive, keeping
- 22:19Speaker 17: and sharing.
- 22:20Speaker 6: Her story and proving that her death was not just
- 22:25Speaker 6: a number.
- 22:26Speaker 17: She was important and she was special. Currently, I am
- 22:29Speaker 17: very limited as to what I can speak about until
- 22:33Speaker 17: justice is served while my daughter's case is still open.
- 22:36Speaker 17: I am forever grateful though. to everyone who has taken
- 22:39Speaker 17: the time to listen to my words throughout this journey
- 22:43Speaker 17: over these past two years. Those around the country have
- 22:49Speaker 17: heard my daughter's name. They've seen her beautiful face and
- 22:53Speaker 17: they've had their hearts broken alongside with mine and my family.
- 22:58Speaker 17: Everyone has seen their daughter, their sister, their granddaughter, their niece,
- 23:03Speaker 17: even their younger versions of themselves in Jocelyn. She was
- 23:07Speaker 17: a 12 year old girl who had her entire life
- 23:11Speaker 17: ahead of her with dreams beyond her wildest imaginations. But
- 23:15Speaker 17: it was cut devastatingly short because of the border policies
- 23:19Speaker 17: we had due to the last previous administration. That administration
- 23:24Speaker 17: failed Jocelyn. It is important for us to recognize how
- 23:29Speaker 17: dire it is for us to protect ourselves, our families,
- 23:33Speaker 17: and our children as much as I wish. As much
- 23:38Speaker 17: as I wish I can bring Jocelyn back, what I
- 23:42Speaker 17: can do is I can share her story. I can
- 23:45Speaker 17: speak up for the voices who were ripped away, like Jocelyn's.
- 23:51Speaker 9: And save future lives.
- 23:54Speaker 17: No parent should ever have to go through the grief
- 23:58Speaker 17: that I'm going through and learn how to live life
- 24:01Speaker 17: differently without your child. Everyone who has voted on behalf
- 24:08Speaker 17: of the tragedy my daughter has suffered. I thank y'all tremendously.
- 24:13Speaker 17: If you haven't voted yet, go out and vote. It's
- 24:17Speaker 17: extremely important, and it really does make a difference when
- 24:20Speaker 17: you go out and vote. And most importantly, above all,
- 24:23Speaker 17: I would like to thank our Lord Almighty, Jesus Christ,
- 24:27Speaker 17: for giving me the strength to stand up here and
- 24:30Speaker 17: speak to y'all, to share her story and share her name.
- 24:35Speaker 17: Long live Jocelyn LaSalle Nungere. She was a 12-year-old courageous girl,
- 24:41Speaker 17: my daughter. She's changing the world just a little bit
- 24:44Speaker 17: at a time. Thank you all so much.
- 24:50Speaker 7: Yeah, that's, I mean, this is the reality of it,
- 24:53Speaker 7: you know, and when you have the Democrats out there
- 24:57Speaker 7: and they're defending the illegals and just about every single
- 25:01Speaker 7: Democrat running for office wants to put the plight of
- 25:03Speaker 7: the illegal alien on the line, ahead of everybody else
- 25:06Speaker 7: in America, especially law-abiding Americans born on American soil. But
- 25:14Speaker 7: you don't hear the Democrats talking about the impact that
- 25:19Speaker 7: these illegals are having. We're talking about, we're talking about
- 25:25Speaker 7: Very dangerous people that have been removed from the country.
- 25:29Speaker 7: Very dangerous people who are out there committing crimes against
- 25:34Speaker 7: law-abiding American citizens. And the Democrats are saying, well, you
- 25:38Speaker 7: know what, that's not our problem. They have decided to
- 25:42Speaker 7: stand with the illegals. That is on the ballot, ladies
- 25:45Speaker 7: and gentlemen, on Tuesday when you go and cast your vote.
- 25:49Speaker 7: And my recommendation to you is to be very, very careful.
- 25:52Speaker 7: Many of you are wanting to make some sort of
- 25:54Speaker 7: a political statement against the Republican establishment, and I get that,
- 25:58Speaker 7: but this is not the election to do that. It
- 26:01Speaker 7: just simply is not. We have far too much writing
- 26:04Speaker 7: on what's going to happen on Tuesday. All right, 901-260-5926.
- 26:10Speaker 7: That's our telephone number. That's 901-260-5926. Remember back in 2020
- 26:18Speaker 7: when the media narrative was absolute, when anybody suggesting early
- 26:22Speaker 7: alternatives was silenced and deplatformed? Well, the late Dr. Zev
- 26:27Speaker 7: Zelenko was right at the epicenter of it all when
- 26:30Speaker 7: he created Z-Stack and the Zelenko Protocol. He took immense
- 26:34Speaker 7: heat for sharing his protocol specifically designed to boost your
- 26:38Speaker 7: immune system. Even President Trump cited him in a press
- 26:41Speaker 7: briefing regarding what would become known as the Zelenko Protocol.
- 26:46Speaker 7: led President Trump himself to adopting it. Now, I saw
- 26:49Speaker 7: the video on X and saw it for myself.
- 26:51Speaker 3: Amazing.
- 26:52Speaker 7: Every key ingredient behind those protocols was meticulously chosen based
- 26:57Speaker 7: on rigorous research at the exact doses that matter. Now,
- 27:02Speaker 7: five years later, history has completely vindicated Dr. Zelenko. Now
- 27:06Speaker 7: we all know how critical a strong immune system is.
- 27:10Speaker 7: And if you've ever felt helpless watching the headlines, hear this.
- 27:13Speaker 7: You are not powerless. there is something you can do
- 27:16Speaker 7: about it. Z-Stack gives your body the foundational immune support
- 27:19Speaker 7: it needs to help fight off whatever is circulating out there.
- 27:23Speaker 7: So don't wait for permission to take charge of your
- 27:26Speaker 7: immune system. And by the way, now they have the

- 27:36Speaker 7: their history at zstacklife.com slash stearns. Again, that's ZStackLife.com slash Darns. Well,
- 27:45Speaker 7: I want to go right away to the Patriot Mobile
- 27:47Speaker 7: Newsmaker line. We told you earlier about this incredible movie
- 27:52Speaker 7: about the life of Jimmy Stewart. The name of the
- 27:56Speaker 7: movie called Jimmy, the untold true story of America's beloved actor.
- 28:01Speaker 7: And we're just honored to have Aaron Burns joining us.
- 28:03Speaker 7: He is the director and producer of the film. Aaron,
- 28:06Speaker 7: welcome back to the show.
- 28:09Speaker 4: Thank you, Todd. Pleasure to be here.
- 28:11Speaker 7: So this has got to be exciting. I mean, we're
- 28:12Speaker 7: just really a few days away from the movie opening
- 28:15Speaker 7: in theaters nationwide. And I'm wondering what people, because I
- 28:21Speaker 7: think a lot of folks truly, they know Jimmy Stewart,
- 28:24Speaker 7: but you guys really do a deep dive into his life.
- 28:26Speaker 7: Is there one thing in particular that really stands out
- 28:30Speaker 7: in Jimmy Stewart's life?
- 28:33Speaker 12: Yeah, so if you've ever seen the movie It's a
- 28:35Speaker 12: Wonderful Life, then you remember the actor, Jimmy Stewart from it.
- 28:39Speaker 12: But what I had no idea is that Jimmy's real
- 28:43Speaker 12: life is much more interesting than any story he ever told.
- 28:46Speaker 12: And he won an Oscar as a young man in
- 28:48Speaker 12: Hollywood in 1941, and then immediately chose to leave that
- 28:54Speaker 12: behind and enlist in the US Army Air Corps. And
- 28:57Speaker 12: he spent the next three years flying combat missions above Germany.
- 29:01Speaker 12: It was a wonderful patriot and wonderful husband, wonderful father.
- 29:06Speaker 11: Came back home.
- 29:07Speaker 12: From his wartime service, broken by PTSD, and then made
- 29:12Speaker 12: the movie It's a Wonderful Life, which was the beginning
- 29:15Speaker 12: of healing from all of that.
- 29:16Speaker 11: So that's the story that.
- 29:17Speaker 12: This unfolds, and I had no idea, and I've been
- 29:20Speaker 12: very inspired by his courage and his service and his faithfulness.
- 29:24Speaker 7: You know, it goes back to a time in Hollywood
- 29:27Speaker 7: when there was a great sense of patriotism God and country,
- 29:32Speaker 7: and it was not unusual to see movie stars putting
- 29:36Speaker 7: down their starring roles in a movie to go and
- 29:40Speaker 7: join the war effort.
- 29:43Speaker 11: Yeah, it's fascinating. A number of other guys did.
- 29:46Speaker 12: Frank Capra, the director of It's a Wonderful Life, he
- 29:50Speaker 12: enlisted as well. He served in the media division, and
- 29:56Speaker 12: he made a series called Why We Fight. which documented
- 29:59Speaker 12: the war crimes of the Germans and inspired Americans to enlist.
- 30:03Speaker 12: But Jimmy actually refused to make the promotional films that
- 30:06Speaker 12: they wanted him to do. He said, I don't want
- 30:08Speaker 12: to be a pretend soldier. I've been an actor.
- 30:10Speaker 11: I don't want to be a pretend soldier. I want
- 30:12Speaker 11: to go serve for real.
- 30:14Speaker 12: And so he was actually on the front lines leading
- 30:17Speaker 12: thousands of troops and thousands of planes in combat over
- 30:20Speaker 12: the skies of Germany, which just fascinating and very inspiring
- 30:25Speaker 12: and heroic.
- 30:26Speaker 11: What he did.
- 30:27Speaker 7: You know, I thought I knew a lot about Jimmy Stewart,
- 30:30Speaker 7: but I had no idea that he was an actual
- 30:32Speaker 7: Air Force general. I mean, he was in there for
- 30:36Speaker 7: the long haul.
- 30:38Speaker 12: Yeah, so when he came home, he re-enlisted in the
- 30:42Speaker 12: Air Force Reserves and served for another 20-some years. He
- 30:45Speaker 12: retired as a general and flew his last combat mission
- 30:49Speaker 12: over Vietnam. So just an amazing example, I think, for
- 30:54Speaker 12: our country today. Today, he looked at the brokenness of
- 30:57Speaker 12: the world around him. The 40s is a time much
- 31:00Speaker 12: like ours where there's a lot of stress, a lot
- 31:03Speaker 12: of anxiety, a lot of wars, all.
- 31:04Speaker 11: Of these things.
- 31:06Speaker 12: And rather than complaining and finger pointing and fear mongering,
- 31:09Speaker 12: he said, put me in.
- 31:10Speaker 11: I want to serve and I want to make a difference.
- 31:12Speaker 7: The movie is called Jimmy. It's about the life of
- 31:16Speaker 7: the great actor Jimmy Stewart and really great American patriot
- 31:19Speaker 7: Jimmy Stewart. K.J. Apa stars as Jimmy Stewart. Those of
- 31:23Speaker 7: you who watch the Riverdale TV series will know that name.
- 31:27Speaker 7: I have to imagine, Aaron, it's going to be exciting
- 31:30Speaker 7: to introduce Jimmy Stewart to a much younger audience of Americans.
- 31:37Speaker 3: Yes.
- 31:38Speaker 12: And I, I love, I was talking to Kelly, Jimmy's
- 31:41Speaker 12: daughter is an executive producer on the film has been
- 31:44Speaker 12: on the whole journey with us, helping us find the
- 31:46Speaker 12: right actor to play Jimmy, helping write the, the giving
- 31:49Speaker 12: notes and feedback on the screenplay coming to set with us.
- 31:51Speaker 12: And an early conversation with Kelly, she asked us, you know,
- 31:55Speaker 12: does anybody remember who my dad is anymore? And I said, well, yes,
- 31:59Speaker 12: of course, millions and millions of Americans know and love
- 32:02Speaker 12: your dad. And of course, millions more love It's a
- 32:04Speaker 12: Wonderful Life. But for the new generation of the young
- 32:08Speaker 12: people who are growing up now, I've got five kids,
- 32:12Speaker 12: and I am so excited that this new generation gets
- 32:15Speaker 12: to engage with Jimmy. And I think as we see
- 32:19Speaker 12: a new generation of people growing up to love and
- 32:22Speaker 12: serve and live like Jimmy did, I think all Americans,
- 32:26Speaker 12: no matter what flavor or color or political background, anything,
- 32:31Speaker 12: America will.
- 32:32Speaker 11: Be a better country. if more of us live the
- 32:34Speaker 11: way that Jimmy did.
- 32:35Speaker 7: Aaron Burns joining us on our Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line today.
- 32:40Speaker 7: The movie coming out on November the 6th. Aaron, what
- 32:43Speaker 7: was it like for you personally working on this project?
- 32:48Speaker 12: Well, Jimmy's one of my heroes. And I'll say I'm
- 32:52Speaker 12: not a veteran. I didn't have the privilege of doing that.
- 32:55Speaker 12: But exploring what he did and what he went through
- 32:59Speaker 12: made me much more grateful for the veterans who served
- 33:03Speaker 12: our country. And there was one day of filming that
- 33:07Speaker 12: was particularly meaningful.
- 33:09Speaker 4: The U.S.
- 33:09Speaker 12: Army Air Force's band, the U.S. Air Force band, I
- 33:12Speaker 12: should say, came over to set and put our 1940s
- 33:16Speaker 12: uniforms on and played I'll Be Home for Christmas for us.
- 33:20Speaker 12: And we were filming a Christmas party like they would
- 33:22Speaker 12: have had on base in the 1940s.
- 33:25Speaker 11: And being there with those.
- 33:26Speaker 12: Active duty soldiers and hearing that song, I'll be home
- 33:30Speaker 12: for Christmas if only in my dreams, just reflecting on
- 33:32Speaker 12: the sacrifice and the beauty of what these men and
- 33:37Speaker 12: women have done and are doing for us was deeply
- 33:40Speaker 12: moving for me. And I hope any veterans who watch
- 33:44Speaker 12: this movie feel seen and feel a thank you. And
- 33:48Speaker 12: we actually had a pretty fun program. There's a group
- 33:50Speaker 12: called VetTix, VetTix.org. that we've received millions of dollars in
- 33:55Speaker 12: donations to vet ticks that any active duty or veterans
- 33:59Speaker 12: or first responders can go and get a free ticket
- 34:00Speaker 12: to see the movie. So I've personally grown in my patriotism,
- 34:04Speaker 12: my gratitude, my love for our country through telling Jimmy's stories.
- 34:08Speaker 11: And we hope that that'll inspire our generation as well.
- 34:11Speaker 7: All right. Well, we've got to leave it there. Aaron Burns,
- 34:14Speaker 7: director of the new movie about Jimmy Stewart. You can
- 34:16Speaker 7: get more information, jimmythemovie.com. That's jimmythemovie.com. Aaron, thank you.
- 34:23Speaker 11: Thank you, Todd.
- 34:24Speaker 7: And we'll be right back.
- 34:34Speaker 6: All right.
- 34:35Speaker 11: Wow.
- 34:35Speaker 4: You know what?
- 34:37Speaker 7: I think everybody is going to want to escape politics
- 34:40Speaker 7: after Tuesday, right? And what better way to do that
- 34:42Speaker 7: than going to see this incredible movie that tells the
- 34:47Speaker 7: story of Jimmy Stewart's life. Dylan, I know you, have
- 34:50Speaker 7: you seen It's a Wonderful Life, Dylan? You know, it
- 34:53Speaker 7: usually comes out at Christmas time.
- 34:55Speaker 4: Yes, I have seen that.
- 34:57Speaker 7: It's a wonderful movie. That was the very first movie
- 34:59Speaker 7: Jimmy Stewart did after coming back from the war. But
- 35:03Speaker 7: a lot of people may not realize this. He actually
- 35:06Speaker 7: was a cheerleader in college.
- 35:09Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 35:10Speaker 7: Not one of the cowboys.
- 35:12Speaker 4: Not today's cheerleaders.
- 35:13Speaker 7: Not today's cheerleaders, you know, with the gyrating hips. But
- 35:15Speaker 7: he was, you know, just.
- 35:16Speaker 4: The strong ones that lift up.
- 35:18Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 35:18Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 35:19Speaker 7: With the megaphones.
- 35:20Speaker 2: Nice.
- 35:21Speaker 7: No power froze, you know, just megaphone bullhorn. And he
- 35:25Speaker 7: also played the accordion.
- 35:27Speaker 4: That's a cool instrument to play. I'm sorry. That's just cool.
- 35:30Speaker 4: I don't know anyone that still plays the accordion.
- 35:31Speaker 7: Oh, yes, you do. And that is going to be
- 35:33Speaker 7: a trivia question. I'm going to give away a copy
- 35:36Speaker 7: of The Golden Age, How Trump Saved America, because there
- 35:39Speaker 7: is a regular guest on this radio program. And I'll
- 35:45Speaker 7: just tell you, this is the clue. He plays the accordion.
- 35:49Speaker 7: That's not the clue. The clue is he's the Todd
- 35:52Speaker 7: Stearns Radio Show's official, unofficial chaplain. And if you know
- 35:57Speaker 7: who that is, can you believe that person plays the accordion?
- 36:00Speaker 9: No, I can't.
- 36:00Speaker 4: That's fascinating.
- 36:02Speaker 7: I just have to see it in person.
- 36:04Speaker 4: Next time he comes on, he'll have to play it.
- 36:05Speaker 7: Oh, absolutely. Well, he's coming to promote a book. And
- 36:10Speaker 7: so we're going to get– but before we promote the book,
- 36:12Speaker 7: he's going to have to play something.
- 36:12Speaker 4: We'll have to throw it in the side. By the way,
- 36:14Speaker 4: we've been talking about this.
- 36:16Speaker 7: So if you know who that is, give us a call.
- 36:18Speaker 7: We've got– this is a huge deal because this is
- 36:20Speaker 7: a great book. It's selling like hotcakes, The Golden Age.
- 36:23Speaker 7: But if you can tell us– The Todd Stern Show guest,
- 36:27Speaker 7: the unofficial chaplain of the Todd Stern Radio Show, who
- 36:30Speaker 7: plays the accordion, give us a call, 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926.
- 36:38Speaker 7: We are monitoring President Trump's big speech in Rock Hill,
- 36:43Speaker 7: South Carolina today, one of two rallies the president is doing. Folks,
- 36:49Speaker 7: I don't see how the president can do this.
- 36:52Speaker 6: I mean, he is.
- 36:54Speaker 7: on the road around the clock. It is just really remarkable,
- 36:59Speaker 7: the president's stamina. But I did see an interesting story.
- 37:03Speaker 7: A lot of people are saying, oh, Trump, he's got dementia.
- 37:08Speaker 7: He's got major medical problems. The latest rumor is that
- 37:13Speaker 7: the president is going to resign after the midterm elections
- 37:18Speaker 7: and may, in fact, just turn everything over to J.D.
- 37:22Speaker 9: Vance.
- 37:24Speaker 7: I don't think that's going to happen. Our president is
- 37:26Speaker 7: not a quitter. He is somebody who actually fights a
- 37:29Speaker 7: good fight, and I think he's going to finish out
- 37:33Speaker 7: his term in office. I really do. And I think
- 37:36Speaker 7: he's going to go on and enjoy the rest of
- 37:38Speaker 7: his life playing golf at Mar-a-Lago and having a good
- 37:42Speaker 7: time with his family and his grandkids. 901-260-5926 is our
- 37:47Speaker 7: telephone number. That's 901. The phones are lighting up here.
- 37:51Speaker 7: Poor Helen is very busy right now. So we may
- 37:55Speaker 7: have to get to your calls right after. If you're
- 37:57Speaker 7: on hold, don't go anywhere. We're going to get to
- 37:59Speaker 7: you right after the top of the hour news. Again, 901-260-5926.
- 38:03Speaker 7: In the meantime, I would encourage you to get a
- 38:06Speaker 7: copy of The Golden Age. It makes an absolutely beautiful
- 38:10Speaker 7: Christmas present. And the cover is just really a work
- 38:13Speaker 7: of art in and of itself. But you can get
- 38:16Speaker 7: a copy at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, your favorite bookstore.
- 38:20Speaker 7: And I promise you, your loved one is going to
- 38:23Speaker 7: love it. All right, hang tight, everybody. Got to take
- 38:25Speaker 7: a quick break. This is the Todd Stearns Radio Show.
- 38:51Speaker 1: From Memphis, Tennessee, it's Common Sense Conservative Commentary from Todd Starnes.
- 38:57Speaker 15: That's us, that's right.
- 39:01Speaker 6: I love this American ride.
- 39:06Speaker 7: Well, hello everybody. Welcome to Hour 2 of the Big Show.
- 39:09Speaker 7: Great to have you with us. I am your host,
- 39:11Speaker 7: Todd Starnes. And we have a jam-packed hour coming up.
- 39:16Speaker 7: Chad Connolly... from Faith Wins, is going to join us.
- 39:20Speaker 7: Chad has been traveling all over the country, mobilizing churches
- 39:24Speaker 7: and pastors to get out the vote. By the way,
- 39:27Speaker 7: early voting is still underway across many states, so be
- 39:30Speaker 7: sure to engage in your right as an American citizen and,
- 39:34Speaker 7: quite frankly, as a Christian, a responsibility to vote. And
- 39:38Speaker 7: be sure to vote your values, ladies and gentlemen. Real quick,
- 39:43Speaker 7: before we go to our guest, we had a trivia
- 39:46Speaker 7: question on the table in the last hour. Let's go
- 39:49Speaker 7: to Paul in Georgia. Paul, hope you're doing well today.
- 39:57Speaker 7: All right. Paul is not there. Let's go to Wendell
- 40:00Speaker 7: in Georgia. Hi, Wendell.
- 40:02Speaker 3: How are you?
- 40:05Speaker 9: Good afternoon, Randall and Buford, Georgia.
- 40:09Speaker 14: WDUN.
- 40:10Speaker 2: Long time no talk there, Todd.
- 40:13Speaker 14: And happy belated birthday. My answer today is Dr.
- 40:18Speaker 3: Robert Jeffords.
- 40:20Speaker 7: Yeah, that's right. Congratulations. What am I even doing here?
- 40:25Speaker 7: I didn't even need to ask the question. Yes, Randall, congratulations.
- 40:29Speaker 7: You are correct. And the question was, like Jimmy Stewart,
- 40:33Speaker 7: and we're promoting the movie about Jimmy Stewart's life, Jimmy
- 40:37Speaker 7: Stewart was a cheerleader in college and actually played the accordion,
- 40:41Speaker 7: as did the official chaplain of the Todd Stearns radio show, Dr.
- 40:45Speaker 7: Robert Jeffress. So congratulations, Randall. And you are the winner
- 40:52Speaker 7: of a copy of my brand new book called The
- 40:53Speaker 7: Golden Age. And we'll get all your info and we'll
- 40:57Speaker 7: be sure to get that off to you. So well done.
- 41:00Speaker 7: Hang tight if you are on the phones. We're going
- 41:02Speaker 7: to get to all of you. I see Miss Foy
- 41:05Speaker 7: and Charles from North Carolina. Don't go anywhere, guys. There
- 41:08Speaker 7: is an exciting new film coming out called Drummer Boy.
- 41:12Speaker 7: from our friends at For King and Country. Luke Smallbone
- 41:16Speaker 7: joins us on our Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line, one half
- 41:20Speaker 7: of the four-time Grammy award-winning pop duo For King and Country. Luke,
- 41:25Speaker 7: first of all, great to see you. And I'm just wondering,
- 41:28Speaker 7: anybody in the Smallbone family play the accordion?
- 41:32Speaker 6: I don't know about the accordion, but in Fakir country,
- 41:35Speaker 6: there's an Indian drone instrument that is a harmonium that
- 41:39Speaker 6: takes the same kind of ideas, but you play it
- 41:41Speaker 6: a little bit like a keyboard or piano, but it
- 41:44Speaker 6: sounds a little bit like the accordion. So we can
- 41:46Speaker 6: play a little bit of that, but not the quintessential
- 41:49Speaker 6: accordion like you're talking about.
- 41:50Speaker 7: Well, the next time you guys are at First Baptist
- 41:52Speaker 7: Church in Dallas, Texas, you got to do something. Maybe
- 41:55Speaker 7: do like a, You know how they do for the Grammys?
- 41:58Speaker 7: They bring in, I don't know, some old-timer with a
- 42:01Speaker 7: young artist. You guys could do something like that. I
- 42:04Speaker 7: don't know, a mosh-up or something.
- 42:07Speaker 6: Maybe we will have to do that. But good to
- 42:09Speaker 6: see you, old friend. It's been too long there, Todd.
- 42:11Speaker 6: It's good to see you again, man.
- 42:12Speaker 7: Well, it's great to see you. I just turned 59 yesterday,
- 42:15Speaker 7: so let's avoid using the word old, Luke, if we can.
- 42:18Speaker 4: Hey, I.
- 42:20Speaker 6: Just turned 40. So you said yesterday, the 20th. My
- 42:23Speaker 6: birthday is on the 22nd, and I just turned 40.
- 42:26Speaker 6: So we're almost in the same decade, except you're about.
- 42:29Speaker 7: To leave one. We are getting old.
- 42:32Speaker 2: All right.
- 42:34Speaker 7: I want to talk about this movie. This is exciting.
- 42:37Speaker 7: And it's, of course, The Drummer Boy is a great
- 42:41Speaker 7: Christmas tradition, great beloved song. What was it that inspired
- 42:45Speaker 7: you to take this to the big screen?
- 42:47Speaker 6: Yeah, well, Drummer Boy is about two brothers that end
- 42:51Speaker 6: up on the opposite side of the Revolutionary War. It's
- 42:54Speaker 6: really merging the three things at King & Country that
- 42:56Speaker 6: we love. We love music, we love film, and we
- 42:59Speaker 6: love Christmas, all right? And so all of those are
- 43:01Speaker 6: wrapped up into one. It comes out... uh november the
- 43:05Speaker 6: 6th and if you were to rewind in 2020 when
- 43:07Speaker 6: my brother and i were in a band called for
- 43:09Speaker 6: key and country uh we were starting out and we
- 43:11Speaker 6: had booked the christmas tour because we were broke and
- 43:14Speaker 6: we had to figure out a way to eat all
- 43:16Speaker 6: right and so we booked a christmas tour we didn't
- 43:17Speaker 6: have a christmas album we had no right doing christmas
- 43:20Speaker 6: songs And we went into a little church and we
- 43:22Speaker 6: came up with this version of the Little Drummer Boy.
- 43:25Speaker 6: And fast forward about six years, it had become one
- 43:28Speaker 6: of the biggest songs of our career. And our brother Ben,
- 43:32Speaker 6: who you're familiar with, Todd, came to us and said, hey,
- 43:34Speaker 6: what if we would create... a story around this concept
- 43:39Speaker 6: of the Little Drummer Boy, because in the Revolutionary War,
- 43:42Speaker 6: it was drummer boys. They were actually quite young. They
- 43:44Speaker 6: were the ones that would march into battle with their drums,
- 43:47Speaker 6: sending tactics of charge, of retreat, all sorts of things.
- 43:52Speaker 6: That came through the Little Drummer Boy, and we just
- 43:54Speaker 6: thought that that was a fascinating concept. So here we are,
- 43:57Speaker 6: eight years later after the original concept, and it comes
- 44:00Speaker 6: out November 6th.
- 44:02Speaker 7: I'm wondering, as you guys were putting together the story,
- 44:06Speaker 7: how did the music and the live performances influence sort
- 44:11Speaker 7: of the look, I guess the vibe of the film?
- 44:15Speaker 6: Yeah, well, it's a musical, but, you know, it's not
- 44:17Speaker 6: one of those musicals where it's like the more recent
- 44:20Speaker 6: Les Mis where they sing the whole time.
- 44:22Speaker 13: All right.
- 44:22Speaker 6: So there's only films about two hours long. There's about
- 44:26Speaker 6: 30 minutes of songs. And so obviously it impacts everything,
- 44:30Speaker 6: you know, for us to have actors like Charles Esten
- 44:34Speaker 6: from Outer Banks or Ian Glenn from Game of Thrones
- 44:36Speaker 6: or Melora Harden from The Office who played Jan Levinson Gold.
- 44:41Speaker 6: The funny part was as an artist to write all
- 44:43Speaker 6: these songs and then kind of hand these songs over
- 44:45Speaker 6: to other actors and say, hey, go do a wonderful job,
- 44:49Speaker 6: you know, bringing these songs and making them authentic and
- 44:52Speaker 6: true to your characters. But that was also kind of
- 44:54Speaker 6: the fun part of it.
- 44:56Speaker 7: You know, we just had on the last hour, we
- 44:58Speaker 7: had on the director and producer of the film about
- 45:00Speaker 7: Jimmy Stewart. That's coming out to what I think November
- 45:03Speaker 7: the 6th. And you wonder, Jimmy Stewart and It's a
- 45:09Speaker 7: Wonderful Life becoming one of those iconic holiday traditions. And
- 45:13Speaker 7: I'm wondering if you guys are sensing that with Drummer Boy.
- 45:15Speaker 7: Do you think this could become one of those beloved
- 45:17Speaker 7: Christmastime traditions?
- 45:20Speaker 6: Well, that's always the hope, right? I think one of
- 45:23Speaker 6: the things that I've realized is that a few hundred
- 45:25Speaker 6: years ago, the art that moved culture was stained glass
- 45:29Speaker 6: windows and paintings. And today, the art that moves culture
- 45:34Speaker 6: is movies and music. And those are the things that
- 45:36Speaker 6: we as a country feel like we are meant to
- 45:39Speaker 6: be a part of. But when it comes to the
- 45:41Speaker 6: hope of it being a Christmas-type tradition, I mean, who's
- 45:43Speaker 6: ever going to answer that no, right? That's always the hope.
- 45:46Speaker 6: And we're doing something actually very, very special here, Todd.
- 45:49Speaker 6: And that is, if you actually go to angel.com forward
- 45:53Speaker 6: slash drummerboy.com, And you go get tickets for the 6th, 7th,
- 45:57Speaker 6: and 8th of November. We're going to do a BOGO.
- 46:00Speaker 6: You buy one and you get one for free. So
- 46:02Speaker 6: whether or not you're a family of four, you can
- 46:04Speaker 6: go see Drummer Boy at the cost of actually just
- 46:07Speaker 6: two tickets. Or if you want to go, we're calling
- 46:09Speaker 6: it the first Christmas gift of the year. You can
- 46:13Speaker 6: gift that ticket to a friend. So angel.com forward slash
- 46:17Speaker 6: drummer boy. And then in the promo code, Just use
- 46:20Speaker 6: the word gift, and you've got some free tickets coming
- 46:23Speaker 6: your way.
- 46:23Speaker 7: Oh, that's fantastic. I know a lot of us, and
- 46:25Speaker 7: myself included, are members of angel.com. Great, great website, and
- 46:30Speaker 7: they're doing great work. You know, I'm working on a
- 46:34Speaker 7: book project surrounding the Revolutionary War, and in my research,
- 46:37Speaker 7: I was really surprised. that most of our founding fathers,
- 46:41Speaker 7: even though they wore the powdered wigs, were pretty young folks.
- 46:44Speaker 7: I mean, most everybody was under the age of 30.
- 46:47Speaker 7: Anything that you guys learned that maybe you didn't know
- 46:50Speaker 7: as you guys were researching and preparing to do the film?
- 46:55Speaker 6: Yeah, I think one of the things that was what
- 46:57Speaker 6: we explored is, is obviously now, you know, that war
- 47:00Speaker 6: went for a lot longer than we remember, right, than
- 47:02Speaker 6: we actually really realized. And at the start of the war,
- 47:06Speaker 6: like the patriots had most of the country, but there
- 47:09Speaker 6: was a large demographic of people that were indifferent. And
- 47:12Speaker 6: then there actually were loyalists. And there were certain towns
- 47:14Speaker 6: that were loyal to the crown and the other ones
- 47:17Speaker 6: that loyal to the Patriots. And I think that was
- 47:19Speaker 6: obviously this is what this story explores. It explores two
- 47:22Speaker 6: brothers ending up on the opposite sides of the battlefields,
- 47:25Speaker 6: both believing that they're right. But one of the powerful
- 47:29Speaker 6: themes in this film is the theme of forgiveness. You know,
- 47:32Speaker 6: one of the things I've realized is it's impossible to
- 47:34Speaker 6: have freedom without forgiveness. It's not lost on me. I'm
- 47:38Speaker 6: not going to talk politics like, you know, Todd, but
- 47:41Speaker 6: America's allies, for the most part, we've all been at
- 47:44Speaker 6: war with. You know, the Japanese, the British, the Germans,
- 47:48Speaker 6: the French. We've literally fought all of them. But yet,
- 47:50Speaker 6: for the most part, within reason, go with me here,
- 47:53Speaker 6: those are the people that we call when we're in trouble, right?
- 47:56Speaker 6: Or when we call when we need, you know, help.
- 47:59Speaker 6: They're our allies. They're his people. So the power of forgiveness,
- 48:01Speaker 6: it's not lost on me also that this film comes
- 48:03Speaker 6: out just the weekend after the elections. And there's going
- 48:06Speaker 6: to be people in your family that voted one way
- 48:08Speaker 6: or another. But the power of forgiveness is extremely powerful,
- 48:12Speaker 6: especially coming into this Christmas season.
- 48:14Speaker 7: Yeah, that may be true. I'm still not a big
- 48:16Speaker 7: fan of the French, though. I don't know. They rubbed
- 48:18Speaker 7: me the wrong way.
- 48:20Speaker 11: We're just kidding.
- 48:21Speaker 7: We're just kidding a little bit. Luke Smallbone joining us.
- 48:26Speaker 7: And it's an incredible new film called Drummer Boy. And
- 48:31Speaker 7: it takes you back to the fight for American independence.
- 48:34Speaker 7: You know, not lost in all of this is the
- 48:36Speaker 7: fact that we are celebrating America's 250th anniversary, our big birthday. And,
- 48:42Speaker 7: you know, I'm wondering... You know, as someone who came here,
- 48:45Speaker 7: your family came here from Australia. What's that experience been
- 48:48Speaker 7: like for you living in America?
- 48:51Speaker 3: Yeah, man.
- 48:52Speaker 6: Well, so when I was growing up, my dad used
- 48:54Speaker 6: to always say, you know, America is the land of opportunity.
- 48:57Speaker 6: And so when you're young, you just run with it, right?
- 49:00Speaker 6: And it wasn't until I got into, and you'll be
- 49:02Speaker 6: familiar with this, it wasn't until I got into that
- 49:04Speaker 6: later high school years and college age when I had
- 49:06Speaker 6: all these friends that were like, you know, we need
- 49:09Speaker 6: to go to this country, fill in the blank, a
- 49:11Speaker 6: country in Europe, because they've got it right. And I
- 49:14Speaker 6: remember I was actually privileged enough to have traveled a
- 49:17Speaker 6: lot quite young. And I remember going over, having these
- 49:21Speaker 6: conversations with some of my friends. And I would say,
- 49:23Speaker 6: have you been there? And they'll be like, well, no,
- 49:25Speaker 6: I haven't been there, but I've read all about their ideals.
- 49:27Speaker 6: And I was like, guys, you got to understand what
- 49:28Speaker 6: America has is extremely special. If you live in the
- 49:32Speaker 6: confines of the rules that are for the most part
- 49:35Speaker 6: pretty fair, you can do whatever you want inside that box.
- 49:39Speaker 6: It doesn't work like that in other countries. And I've visited,
- 49:42Speaker 6: you know, many. So for me, being an immigrant, I
- 49:44Speaker 6: was naturalized, you know, however many years ago. I think
- 49:47Speaker 6: it was 2012. I just voted this morning, ironically enough.
- 49:50Speaker 6: It's a privilege to be able to say that I'm
- 49:53Speaker 6: an American. And part of the reason why we made
- 49:54Speaker 6: this film is because it's the 250th year anniversary of America.
- 49:59Speaker 6: This is one of the last films of the year
- 50:01Speaker 6: that will actually celebrate that very thing before, obviously, the
- 50:05Speaker 6: calendar year changes. And so we're hoping that everyone will
- 50:08Speaker 6: come out and celebrate America and also musical songs and
- 50:12Speaker 6: all the things that we love about going to a movie.
- 50:14Speaker 7: Yeah, and of course, the movie releasing also on November 6th,
- 50:17Speaker 7: so you can do a double feature.
- 50:19Speaker 3: That's right.
- 50:19Speaker 7: You can catch both films.
- 50:20Speaker 6: That's right, you can.
- 50:21Speaker 7: And have a great time at the movies. Luke, I'm
- 50:24Speaker 7: excited to watch the movie. Congratulations, and please tell your
- 50:28Speaker 7: family I said hello. It's been a while.
- 50:31Speaker 6: It's been a while. Appreciate you, man. Thank you for
- 50:34Speaker 6: taking the time to chat with me.
- 50:35Speaker 7: Luke Smallbone, everybody, and the film Drummer Boy. And if
- 50:38Speaker 7: you'd like to take advantage of that ticket opportunity, angel.com
- 50:42Speaker 7: slash drummer boy, and be sure to use the promo
- 50:45Speaker 7: code gift, and you'll be able to get those tickets.
- 50:49Speaker 7: That's going to be, you know what, Dylan, we ought
- 50:51Speaker 7: to do like a group event and go catch the movies.
- 50:55Speaker 4: I would love that. We got to go back to
- 50:57Speaker 4: the movies, Todd.
- 50:57Speaker 7: We got to do it.
- 50:58Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 50:59Speaker 7: I'll go with you guys this time.
- 51:01Speaker 4: Yes. Todd's going outside. I'm just kidding. You go outside
- 51:06Speaker 4: a lot.
- 51:06Speaker 7: Not that much, actually. Real quick here, let's go to
- 51:09Speaker 7: the phone lines and say hello to our dear friend
- 51:12Speaker 7: Foy in Georgia, listening to us on WDUN.
- 51:16Speaker 6: Hi, Foy.
- 51:17Speaker 7: What's going on?
- 51:18Speaker 6: Hi, Todd.
- 51:20Speaker 2: I have had a cold or whatever. I've been to
- 51:22Speaker 2: the doctor now yesterday for three hours, but I'm getting
- 51:25Speaker 2: better today. Speaking to you makes me feel better. I
- 51:28Speaker 2: had a red-letter day marked for you on the 27th
- 51:33Speaker 2: to see you at Longstreet Cafe, and I didn't want
- 51:36Speaker 2: to bring whatever this was to you, so I didn't
- 51:39Speaker 2: get to come. But I hope you had a great
- 51:42Speaker 2: day in Gainesville, Georgia on the 27th, did you?
- 51:46Speaker 7: Foy, I was waiting outside and looking. I was forlorn
- 51:50Speaker 7: because I'm wondering, where's Ms.
- 51:51Speaker 6: Foy?
- 51:52Speaker 3: Really?
- 51:52Speaker 5: No.
- 51:54Speaker 14: You know what?
- 51:55Speaker 7: We missed you, though. I asked somebody, I said, is Ms.
- 51:58Speaker 7: Foy here? And no, we didn't see you. And I
- 52:02Speaker 7: knew something big must have happened. Either that or, you know,
- 52:06Speaker 7: there was, I don't know, the Price is Right was
- 52:08Speaker 7: on or something. I don't know what was going on.
- 52:09Speaker 2: I've been sick eight to ten days, but I'm not
- 52:12Speaker 2: feeling better today. And I'll call. I really probably should
- 52:16Speaker 2: have waited to call you on good open line Friday
- 52:19Speaker 2: because I did know that Dr. Robert Jeffress said, In fact,
- 52:23Speaker 2: after he spoke in Marietta one day, I followed him
- 52:27Speaker 2: out of the church, not out of the church, into
- 52:29Speaker 2: another room of the church, because my aunt had worked
- 52:33Speaker 2: at that church, First Baptist Dallas, for 40 years. And
- 52:38Speaker 2: I haven't lost you, have I, Todd?
- 52:39Speaker 7: No, I am listening intently. Absolutely.
- 52:43Speaker 2: This phone has been acting up. That's why I asked
- 52:45Speaker 2: you that. Anyway, I followed him, and he was talking
- 52:49Speaker 2: on the phone. The door was open in the room
- 52:51Speaker 2: he was in. And I waited until he hung up
- 52:53Speaker 2: the phone. And I stepped in the door and I said, Dr. Jeffries,
- 52:57Speaker 2: my aunt is Millie Kahn. Oh, he just had a
- 53:01Speaker 2: fit over that. He said, oh, my, come right in.
- 53:03Speaker 2: And she was wonderful. Said I was in her 12-year-old group.
- 53:08Speaker 2: She was the junior director out there for about 40 years.
- 53:12Speaker 2: And he said I was in her 12-year-old group. And
- 53:15Speaker 2: he said she brought me to Jesus. Said every summer
- 53:19Speaker 2: we would go out to camp out from Dallas. and
- 53:22Speaker 2: said she would always give us the rebel yell. She
- 53:25Speaker 2: was from South Carolina. And so they enjoyed that, and
- 53:31Speaker 2: I certainly enjoyed getting to meet Dr. Jefferson. I do
- 53:34Speaker 2: listen to him on the TV ever so often, and
- 53:39Speaker 2: as I said, I should have called you maybe tomorrow,
- 53:41Speaker 2: but I enjoyed hearing about Jimmy Stewart movie. That's been
- 53:46Speaker 2: one of my favorites for years. I never got to
- 53:49Speaker 2: go to the movie because we were little orphans, so
- 53:52Speaker 2: to speak. My father had died when I was a
- 53:54Speaker 2: year and a half, and so Mother said, we can
- 53:56Speaker 2: save money by not going to movies. So I didn't
- 53:58Speaker 2: go to the movie until I was probably about 15
- 54:01Speaker 2: or 16. You'd never guess what movie I went to first.
- 54:04Speaker 2: It wasn't Jimmy Stewart, though.
- 54:05Speaker 7: Do you want me to take a guess?
- 54:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 54:08Speaker 7: I was going to say Animal House, but that doesn't
- 54:11Speaker 7: sound like you. I'm going to say Gone with the Wind.
- 54:14Speaker 2: No, no, Elvis.
- 54:16Speaker 15: Elvis.
- 54:17Speaker 7: Is that right?
- 54:18Speaker 2: Yeah, the one, you know, Love Me Tender.
- 54:20Speaker 7: Oh, yes.
- 54:22Speaker 2: I sat there in that dark movie theater the first
- 54:24Speaker 2: time I'd ever been to one. I just cried through
- 54:27Speaker 2: that movie so much.
- 54:28Speaker 7: Oh, my goodness.
- 54:30Speaker 2: And anyway, I love the Jimmy Stewart movie, though. That's
- 54:34Speaker 2: one of my favorites, particularly, like you said, around Christmastime.
- 54:38Speaker 2: And I'll put this drummer boy on my list to
- 54:40Speaker 2: look that up, too. I do go to the movie
- 54:42Speaker 2: occasionally now. When there's a good one out, I like
- 54:46Speaker 2: to go and see those.
- 54:47Speaker 11: Then, you know?
- 54:48Speaker 7: Yes, ma'am, I do. Well, you were missed.
- 54:51Speaker 3: And Ms.
- 54:51Speaker 7: Floyd, do you have a copy of the book yet,
- 54:53Speaker 7: The Golden Age?
- 54:54Speaker 2: Not yet, but I want to get it. The golden
- 54:56Speaker 2: age is on my list to get.
- 54:58Speaker 7: Well, don't you worry about it. We're going to send
- 55:01Speaker 7: you a signed copy, and we'll make sure to get
- 55:05Speaker 7: your address and everything. I know you would have been there,
- 55:08Speaker 7: but you were right to look after your health. By
- 55:11Speaker 7: the way, somebody said there's a great Greek restaurant in Gainesville, Georgia,
- 55:15Speaker 7: and you should order the lemon soup if you're under
- 55:17Speaker 7: the weather. I actually picked up that advice during the
- 55:21Speaker 7: book signing the other day, so you might want to
- 55:23Speaker 7: check that out, Ms.
- 55:24Speaker 15: Foy.
- 55:24Speaker 2: I may check that out. I saw it's brand new
- 55:26Speaker 2: up close to the hospital, and it's called the Greek Tavern.
- 55:30Speaker 7: The Greek Tavern, yes.
- 55:31Speaker 2: What they would have, you know, other than I don't
- 55:34Speaker 2: imbibe in those other things, you know, but I would
- 55:38Speaker 2: certainly like a good soup.
- 55:39Speaker 7: So no tzatziki sauce. Yeah, you don't want the gyro
- 55:42Speaker 7: or the tzatziki. No, but let me tell you something.
- 55:43Speaker 7: They say it might even cure cancer. I don't know.
- 55:46Speaker 7: I'm just kidding. But it'll fix whatever's ailing you.
- 55:49Speaker 10: Ms.
- 55:50Speaker 7: Foy, look, next time we're going to have to have
- 55:53Speaker 7: coffee together.
- 55:54Speaker 2: I'd love to, and I do hope you have a
- 55:56Speaker 2: good 59 year. It was a good one for me.
- 55:58Speaker 2: I'm 86 now.
- 56:00Speaker 7: You're just a spring chicken.
- 56:01Speaker 2: And 59 was a good year, just turning into the
- 56:04Speaker 2: six decades before long, and you enjoy every day of it, Todd.
- 56:08Speaker 14: I love you.
- 56:09Speaker 3: All right.
- 56:09Speaker 7: Take care, Ms.
- 56:09Speaker 6: Foyt.
- 56:10Speaker 7: We'll be right back. All right, welcome back, everybody. This
- 56:26Speaker 7: is the Todd Stearns Radio Show. It's just, you know, again,
- 56:29Speaker 7: our radio program, we're just like a big front porch,
- 56:33Speaker 7: and we invite folks from all over the country to
- 56:35Speaker 7: come and sit down and have a great little conversation.
- 56:39Speaker 7: We're going to take a quick break here. We've got
- 56:41Speaker 7: Charles in North Carolina. Also, we're going to be talking
- 56:44Speaker 7: to Chan Conley from Faith Wins. He'll be here in
- 56:47Speaker 7: just a moment. And we want to hear from you
- 56:48Speaker 7: as well. How are things going in your neighbors and
- 56:52Speaker 7: your neighborhoods, your communities? Voting turnout. What's your gut telling you,
- 56:57Speaker 7: ladies and gentlemen?
- 56:58Speaker 12: 901-260-5926.
- 56:58Speaker 3: That's 901-260-5926.
- 56:58Speaker 7: This is the Todd Stern Show. All right, welcome back.
- 57:18Speaker 7: Let's go right to the phone lines. Charles in North
- 57:21Speaker 7: Carolina has been holding on for a while. Another great
- 57:24Speaker 7: radio affiliate of ours, WSIC. Charles, what's on your mind today?
- 57:30Speaker 14: Well, first, Todd, belated happy birthday to you.
- 57:33Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 57:35Speaker 14: But, Todd, I got to tell you, you know, I've
- 57:37Speaker 14: been following politics a long time. And I'll have to
- 57:43Speaker 14: say this is one election cycle. that I can't really
- 57:48Speaker 14: get a read on how.
- 57:49Speaker 3: It's going to go.
- 57:50Speaker 14: You know, I just know that Wednesday morning, one side
- 57:54Speaker 14: is going to wake up and they're going to be
- 57:55Speaker 14: really happy, and the other side is going to be
- 57:58Speaker 14: really angry. And I don't know which side that's going
- 58:00Speaker 14: to be. And the reason I can't get a read,
- 58:03Speaker 14: I just, I can't believe that President Trump is having
- 58:07Speaker 14: to come to Rock Hill, South Carolina, a reliably red
- 58:11Speaker 14: state where Darlene Graham, you know, is in, neck and
- 58:15Speaker 14: neck with her opponent or, you know, he's going to
- 58:17Speaker 14: Mississippi or he's going to Kansas. Uh, he's going to
- 58:21Speaker 14: areas where we should be mopping, uh, you know, mopping
- 58:25Speaker 14: the floor. And then you got states like Minnesota and
- 58:30Speaker 14: Michigan where that else I had, you know, running against
- 58:32Speaker 14: Mike Rogers. And I think there's opportunities for pickups there. Uh,
- 58:37Speaker 14: and I'm not sure about the house, but, I just
- 58:40Speaker 14: think what it's going to come down to are, I
- 58:42Speaker 14: know the Democrats are enthused, you know, to go out
- 58:45Speaker 14: and vote. But I just hope that Republicans love their
- 58:51Speaker 14: country as much as the Democrats hate it, you know,
- 58:55Speaker 14: and turn out to vote. But there's a lot of
- 58:58Speaker 14: issues that are weighing Republican voters down because I hear
- 59:01Speaker 14: my friends talking about it every day. And I just,
- 59:06Speaker 14: I'm not sure if it's going to be enough to
- 59:08Speaker 14: get them out to vote because I've already talked to
- 59:10Speaker 14: several people. They just, you know, they're not going to vote.
- 59:13Speaker 3: They're going to sit it out.
- 59:14Speaker 14: They're just so pissed off about the Iran war. They're
- 59:17Speaker 14: pissed off about the lack of accountability with the deep state.
- 59:21Speaker 14: You know, the lack of mass deportation is just a
- 59:26Speaker 14: lot of things. So I don't know. What's your opinion?
- 59:29Speaker 7: Well, look, I'm still fairly optimistic about all of this,
- 59:33Speaker 7: and I agree with Speaker Johnson. I think the polling
- 59:36Speaker 7: data is going to be historically inaccurate, as they have
- 59:40Speaker 7: been in the past. But I also, I just can't imagine,
- 59:44Speaker 7: and you're right, we're watching huge numbers of people turning
- 59:47Speaker 7: out to vote. I can't imagine those folks are turning
- 59:50Speaker 7: out to vote for communism. And typically, when you look
- 59:54Speaker 7: at an election cycle, people are not going to cast
- 59:57Speaker 7: a vote against communism. They're going to cast a vote
- 1:00:00Speaker 7: for somebody. And that's why I think the Republicans, and again,
- 1:00:05Speaker 7: I may be completely off base here, because there are no,
- 1:00:08Speaker 7: in a lot of these states, there's no polling data.
- 1:00:11Speaker 7: There's no way to really track if it's Republicans or
- 1:00:14Speaker 7: Democrats coming out. But I will say this, in Tennessee,
- 1:00:18Speaker 7: for example, the highest voter turnout of the entire state
- 1:00:23Speaker 7: has actually been in Memphis, which is historically an overwhelmingly
- 1:00:28Speaker 7: Democrat state. So, you know, take that for what it's worth.
- 1:00:34Speaker 7: But again, I just have a hard time believing that
- 1:00:37Speaker 7: people are going to really punish President Trump for the
- 1:00:41Speaker 7: war in Iran. I don't think they're going to do that.
- 1:00:46Speaker 14: Yeah, and I mean, I hope they don't. You know,
- 1:00:50Speaker 14: and the Democrats, I mean, you know, what you're running on,
- 1:00:54Speaker 14: this platform of socialism and getting rid of free enterprise,
- 1:00:58Speaker 14: The radical Islam, you know, that they're not running away from.
- 1:01:05Speaker 14: You know, the men and women's sports, just, you know,
- 1:01:08Speaker 14: the tranny thing. I mean, it's crazy. It doesn't make
- 1:01:13Speaker 14: any sense. And in any normal election cycle, people would
- 1:01:17Speaker 14: just look at that and just laugh. But, you know,
- 1:01:21Speaker 14: people are also hurting financially, unless you've got a 401k
- 1:01:24Speaker 14: or something like that. But, you know, people go to
- 1:01:26Speaker 14: the grocery store, they're seeing these gas prices and everything,
- 1:01:30Speaker 14: which is the result, you know, in a large part
- 1:01:32Speaker 14: of the war in Iran, yeah. But, I don't know,
- 1:01:35Speaker 14: I mean, like me, I mean, Todd, everybody I've talked to,
- 1:01:38Speaker 14: I'm trying to get them to get to the polls,
- 1:01:40Speaker 14: to take somebody with them, you know, to take out
- 1:01:43Speaker 14: their telephone, text their friends, text their neighbors. Because if,
- 1:01:48Speaker 14: you've heard the old expression, Todd, People that vote their
- 1:01:51Speaker 14: way into socialism eventually have to shoot their way out
- 1:01:53Speaker 14: of it, because if these Democrats gain power, you and
- 1:01:57Speaker 14: I both know that they are never, ever going to
- 1:01:59Speaker 14: give it up.
- 1:02:00Speaker 7: Charles, yeah, and we're going to have to leave it there,
- 1:02:02Speaker 7: my friend, but I think you're right about that. And again,
- 1:02:05Speaker 7: that's another reason that I think the Republicans are going
- 1:02:09Speaker 7: to do well. But again, maybe off base here. I
- 1:02:11Speaker 7: want to go to the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line, say
- 1:02:13Speaker 7: hello to our good friend Chad Connolly, who is the
- 1:02:16Speaker 7: founder of Faith Wins. Chad, you heard Charles from North Carolina,
- 1:02:21Speaker 7: and he seemed to be flabbergasted that Trump was having
- 1:02:23Speaker 7: a campaign in Rock Hill, South Carolina today. What do
- 1:02:28Speaker 7: you make of that? And there does seem to be
- 1:02:31Speaker 7: a lot of concern that the Republicans could be in
- 1:02:34Speaker 7: trouble there.
- 1:02:37Speaker 11: Hey, Todd, great to be with you again.
- 1:02:38Speaker 18: I'm actually in Pennsylvania today.
- 1:02:41Speaker 10: Okay.
- 1:02:42Speaker 7: All right, guys, we're going to hold. Chad, hold tight.
- 1:02:45Speaker 7: We're popping and pinging all over the place, so let's
- 1:02:47Speaker 7: get Chad figured out again, guys, and let's just test
- 1:02:51Speaker 7: that audio signal, and we'll try to get Chad back
- 1:02:53Speaker 7: with us. But to the point that Charles was making
- 1:02:58Speaker 7: here is that the president is campaigning in areas that
- 1:03:02Speaker 7: you would think he would not need to campaign in,
- 1:03:05Speaker 7: chief among them being South Carolina. Tomorrow, he's going to
- 1:03:09Speaker 7: be in Daytona Beach, Florida, and then Saturday, he's going
- 1:03:13Speaker 7: to be in Kansas. and on Sunday in Dubuque, Iowa.
- 1:03:17Speaker 7: So that's what we're looking at right now as far
- 1:03:21Speaker 7: as the president's rallies. So what does that tell us? Well,
- 1:03:27Speaker 7: I think the president is basically trying to, and we'll
- 1:03:30Speaker 7: try to get Chad by telephone if we can't work
- 1:03:32Speaker 7: out the video connection. I think the president is trying
- 1:03:36Speaker 7: to gin up the base. That's ultimately what I think
- 1:03:41Speaker 7: is going on here. All right, 901-260-5926. We're going to
- 1:03:46Speaker 7: take a quick break. We'll be right back. All right,
- 1:03:57Speaker 7: I think we've been able to reestablish contact with Chad Conley.
- 1:04:00Speaker 7: And Chad, going back to South Carolina, we had a caller, Charles,
- 1:04:05Speaker 7: from North Carolina. saying that he's just really flabbergasted that
- 1:04:09Speaker 7: Trump would have to come to South Carolina to campaign.
- 1:04:14Speaker 7: How bad are things looking right now for the Republicans
- 1:04:16Speaker 7: here in the Palmetto State?
- 1:04:19Speaker 18: Well, I think it's a lot of overblown. I think
- 1:04:22Speaker 18: Darlene's going to be okay because we got a plus
- 1:04:24Speaker 18: 17R vote. But look, I don't disagree with Charles. It
- 1:04:27Speaker 18: looks kind of tough, right? But Trump's been everywhere. In fairness,
- 1:04:30Speaker 18: I've been in all those states. He's been everywhere. Blue states,
- 1:04:33Speaker 18: Red State, I wish you'd have to spend time in
- 1:04:36Speaker 18: South Carolina, but losing Lindsey's a tough draw, and just
- 1:04:40Speaker 18: shoring that up's not a bad thing. But our governor
- 1:04:43Speaker 18: candidate's going to win big. We'll pull that one over.
- 1:04:46Speaker 18: But he's been all over the place. Trump's a machine,
- 1:04:48Speaker 18: and he turns out people like never before. But I
- 1:04:51Speaker 18: get it. But, hey, look, the Democrats are sending Obama
- 1:04:53Speaker 18: to Atlanta and Detroit, so they're not very confident either.
- 1:04:58Speaker 7: Chad, you've been traveling all over the country, and I'm wondering,
- 1:05:00Speaker 7: what are you sensing right now? What are you hearing?
- 1:05:04Speaker 7: And does it look like the Republicans, as the speaker
- 1:05:07Speaker 7: said earlier today, speakers predicting a big win on Election Day?
- 1:05:11Speaker 7: What say you?
- 1:05:13Speaker 18: Well, I was on a faith leader's call with him yesterday, Todd,
- 1:05:15Speaker 18: and he talked about under sampling of Republicans. What is
- 1:05:18Speaker 18: it now? Two prominent polls have been proven fraudulent, but
- 1:05:22Speaker 18: 15 in total. So I think there's some validity to that. Look,
- 1:05:25Speaker 18: I sense an undercurrent. I've been in five states this week.
- 1:05:28Speaker 18: I was in five states last week, 22 states with pastors.
- 1:05:31Speaker 18: We've actually had three congressional candidates who showed up. Mike
- 1:05:35Speaker 18: Kelly in Butler, Pennsylvania yesterday. Scott Perry down near Harrisburg,
- 1:05:41Speaker 18: Pennsylvania this morning with about 50 pastors. And just now
- 1:05:44Speaker 18: we're in Allentown, Pennsylvania with Ryan McKenzie. So we've had
- 1:05:48Speaker 18: congressmen come out wanting to talk to our pastors. And,
- 1:05:50Speaker 18: of course, we invite both sides. I believe there's an
- 1:05:53Speaker 18: undercurrent of awareness, the socialism, the communism, the Islamist stuff
- 1:05:58Speaker 18: up in Michigan, Todd. Those things are playing into people's minds.
- 1:06:01Speaker 18: And I think people understand this is not an election
- 1:06:04Speaker 18: between Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi where the choice is
- 1:06:06Speaker 18: just a preference. This is an election between Diet Coke
- 1:06:09Speaker 18: and Drano. You may not like Diet Coke perfectly, but
- 1:06:12Speaker 18: Drano will kill you.
- 1:06:14Speaker 7: Well, no doubt about that. That's never a good thing
- 1:06:18Speaker 7: to quench your thirst with. Chad, when we're looking at Texas,
- 1:06:24Speaker 7: how do you think things are playing in Texas? Talafrico,
- 1:06:27Speaker 7: Ken Paxton, who comes out the winner there?
- 1:06:31Speaker 18: Paxton's going to win that one. It may not be
- 1:06:33Speaker 18: as big as we'd like it to be, but he's
- 1:06:35Speaker 18: going to win that one. We'll hold Texas. We'll hold
- 1:06:38Speaker 18: South Carolina. I think people need to keep an eye
- 1:06:41Speaker 18: on Michigan. I believe that's going to be a flip
- 1:06:43Speaker 18: for us. I think most folks on our side have
- 1:06:45Speaker 18: written off North Carolina. Keep an eye on New Hampshire.
- 1:06:49Speaker 18: I was with John Sununu with pastors. He is working
- 1:06:53Speaker 18: all over the state. He's done multiple pastor meetings. Also,
- 1:06:57Speaker 18: watch Tafoya in Minnesota. I don't think that one's outside
- 1:07:01Speaker 18: the realm of possibility. Iowa and Ohio are also the
- 1:07:04Speaker 18: ones to keep an eye on. Ohio, every race has
- 1:07:08Speaker 18: its dynamics, but we know what's going on there. That
- 1:07:10Speaker 18: may be a drag on the ticket, but watch Ohio
- 1:07:14Speaker 18: and Iowa for early returns. Republicans hold on to those,
- 1:07:17Speaker 18: meaning that we could end up as many as 54.
- 1:07:20Speaker 7: It's just a weird election cycle, Chad. I mean, again,
- 1:07:24Speaker 7: most of the midterm races are always localized anyway, but
- 1:07:29Speaker 7: it's just really hard to get a peg on what
- 1:07:31Speaker 7: people are thinking and feeling.
- 1:07:33Speaker 18: Well, we used to be able to rely on the polls, Todd.
- 1:07:36Speaker 18: You're exactly right. It is a weird, weird cycle. Charles
- 1:07:39Speaker 18: made a mention of it. We never thought we'd be
- 1:07:42Speaker 18: fighting people who will openly campaign as socialists, even talking
- 1:07:46Speaker 18: about the great things of communism, my goodness sakes. We
- 1:07:49Speaker 18: didn't think that people would be that dumbed down. But
- 1:07:52Speaker 18: here we are. This is why I travel with David Barton,
- 1:07:54Speaker 18: is teaching the truth about American history, because our folks
- 1:07:57Speaker 18: don't know it. I do think that there comes a
- 1:07:59Speaker 18: time in every history, and maybe 250 years is appropriate,
- 1:08:03Speaker 18: where people have to stand up and take a stand
- 1:08:06Speaker 18: and fight for the truth. And we've got to go
- 1:08:08Speaker 18: back and educate people because this shouldn't be a close election.
- 1:08:11Speaker 18: The Democrats have embraced things that I've never, man, frankly,
- 1:08:14Speaker 18: I never thought we'd have a discussion about who's in
- 1:08:16Speaker 18: what bathroom, or let's bring back socialism, which has just
- 1:08:19Speaker 18: warmed up communism. No, I never thought we'd have this.
- 1:08:22Speaker 18: It is localized. It is a very special, weird cycle.
- 1:08:27Speaker 18: But I believe this is an awakening. I see people everywhere.
- 1:08:31Speaker 18: We were in Atlanta earlier this week and had 40 pastors.
- 1:08:35Speaker 18: 37 had never been in my meeting or had heard
- 1:08:37Speaker 18: of David Barton. And I challenged them. There were probably
- 1:08:40Speaker 18: 8,000 or 10,000 votes in that room. I said, you
- 1:08:42Speaker 18: cannot sit this out. You cannot let your church sit
- 1:08:45Speaker 18: this out. You tell your people Diet Coke, Drano. You
- 1:08:49Speaker 18: tell that story. Make the comparison. I know that your
- 1:08:52Speaker 18: side may not be perfect. Our side may not be perfect.
- 1:08:54Speaker 18: But the other side's out to kill the country, man.
- 1:08:56Speaker 7: Well, it's true. And I'm just curious, how are those...
- 1:09:00Speaker 7: pastors responding? Do you see any movement there? Because so
- 1:09:04Speaker 7: many pastors are just afraid to talk about anything when
- 1:09:07Speaker 7: it comes to politics or going out and voting.
- 1:09:11Speaker 18: You know, this is why, and I know I appreciate
- 1:09:13Speaker 18: your appreciation for our pattern. This is why I challenge
- 1:09:16Speaker 18: pastors that we spent years winning over. Bring pastors who've
- 1:09:20Speaker 18: never met me, who've never heard this approach. Because I
- 1:09:23Speaker 18: tell them it's not about a party or a person.
- 1:09:25Speaker 18: It's about policies and principles that line up with the
- 1:09:27Speaker 18: biblical worldview. There were 37 in that meeting. I don't
- 1:09:30Speaker 18: know how many were there yesterday. We've had hundreds of
- 1:09:33Speaker 18: pastors in these meetings. I think since August in the
- 1:09:36Speaker 18: hundred and something meetings, we've had 4,000 new pastors in
- 1:09:39Speaker 18: our meetings. So when a pastor buddy brings a pastor,
- 1:09:42Speaker 18: it empowers them. It doesn't make them feel alone. And
- 1:09:46Speaker 18: they say, okay, there are other pastors doing this. I
- 1:09:48Speaker 18: can do this. Then when I expose them to David
- 1:09:50Speaker 18: Barton and his teaching on God's role in American history,
- 1:09:53Speaker 18: that's a winning combination. We see the needle moving. Win
- 1:09:58Speaker 18: or lose, we're doing the right approach to preserve us
- 1:10:00Speaker 18: a nation. We just got to realize we're in a fight, brother.
- 1:10:03Speaker 18: We are in a fight. We cannot sit it out.
- 1:10:06Speaker 7: No doubt about it. We've got Chad Conley on our
- 1:10:09Speaker 7: Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line. Chad, founder and president of Faith Wins,
- 1:10:14Speaker 7: a really terrific organization that I think is moving the needle.
- 1:10:19Speaker 7: You know, again, we look at this record turnout, and
- 1:10:22Speaker 7: I'm very excited to see that. But I am concerned
- 1:10:27Speaker 7: that the Republicans, and I think that, Chad, I think
- 1:10:31Speaker 7: people are right to be angry at the Republican Party.
- 1:10:35Speaker 7: But this is not the election cycle to punish the Republicans.
- 1:10:39Speaker 18: You know, Todd, I did Steve Bannon's war room the
- 1:10:42Speaker 18: other day, and I said this. Look, I left the
- 1:10:45Speaker 18: party as a chairman and working for RNC to start
- 1:10:48Speaker 18: Faith Wins because I was frustrated that I didn't see
- 1:10:51Speaker 18: a lot of authentic pro-family Christian outreach going on. And
- 1:10:55Speaker 18: I'd rather do it from a C3 standpoint to educate people.
- 1:10:58Speaker 14: Yes, you're right.
- 1:10:59Speaker 18: People have the right to be upset. I don't see
- 1:11:02Speaker 18: a lot of effort. Steve Bannon said, do we spend time,
- 1:11:05Speaker 18: money by the committees or the campaigns or the RNC
- 1:11:08Speaker 18: to do an authentic faith outreach and evangelical outreach? They
- 1:11:11Speaker 18: know this is the base. And frankly, I don't see it.
- 1:11:13Speaker 18: But no, you're exactly right. Don't punish the party. This
- 1:11:16Speaker 18: isn't about the party. This is about the country. The
- 1:11:19Speaker 18: party's as imperfect as you and I are. The party's
- 1:11:23Speaker 18: always going.
- 1:11:23Speaker 3: To be imperfect.
- 1:11:24Speaker 18: But keep in mind, it's only doing what the people
- 1:11:27Speaker 18: who are part of it say to do. We've got
- 1:11:29Speaker 18: to go put more Christian voices in those places. That's
- 1:11:31Speaker 18: what we spend all our time doing. It's not about votes.
- 1:11:34Speaker 18: It's not about just being involved now. This is an
- 1:11:37Speaker 18: ongoing effort to put the voices of God's people, the
- 1:11:41Speaker 18: foundational aspects of America and biblical principles back into those
- 1:11:45Speaker 18: places that they're sorely missing from. But don't punish the party.
- 1:11:49Speaker 18: Go vote for the people that most line up with
- 1:11:50Speaker 18: the biblical worldview, and then we'll take care of the
- 1:11:53Speaker 18: rest of it later.
- 1:11:54Speaker 7: These rallies, are they moving the needle at all?
- 1:11:58Speaker 18: You know, I've been to a bunch of Trump rallies.
- 1:12:01Speaker 18: He brings out a voter, Todd, that frankly nobody ever has.
- 1:12:06Speaker 18: I remember going to the early ones and looking around
- 1:12:09Speaker 18: in the South Carolina rallies in 2015 going, these aren't
- 1:12:13Speaker 18: the typical Republican voters. He's bringing out a person who
- 1:12:17Speaker 18: has not been voting. They're zero out of fours. They're
- 1:12:20Speaker 18: not three out of fours or four out of four
- 1:12:22Speaker 18: voting time. And they don't happen in a vacuum. There
- 1:12:25Speaker 18: are thousands of people coming out to these rallies. We're
- 1:12:28Speaker 18: going to find out because, let's face it, my frustration
- 1:12:32Speaker 18: with the party is it looks like they have relied
- 1:12:35Speaker 18: an awful lot on President Trump's ability to bring these
- 1:12:38Speaker 18: people out. I don't see a lot of foundational door knocking.
- 1:12:43Speaker 18: I see groups like 501C3s and C4s door knocking for
- 1:12:47Speaker 18: specific people. I don't see a lot of the party stuff.
- 1:12:50Speaker 18: I know in South Carolina our party's doing it, but
- 1:12:52Speaker 18: a lot of the state parties, I don't see a
- 1:12:54Speaker 18: lot of that happening. So they're relying an awful lot
- 1:12:57Speaker 18: on President Trump's ability to go out and sell his message. Clearly,
- 1:13:01Speaker 18: he's very good at it. He brings a bunch of
- 1:13:02Speaker 18: people out. The question is, is it going to be
- 1:13:05Speaker 18: enough to drive people out? I respect the guy for
- 1:13:09Speaker 18: owning the midterms, Todd. He's out there saying, I may
- 1:13:11Speaker 18: not be on the ballot, but I'm on the ballot
- 1:13:13Speaker 18: because my policies were on the ballot. I can't name
- 1:13:15Speaker 18: another president who's ever done that. And Newt Gingrich said,
- 1:13:19Speaker 18: if he pulls this off and defies what a 90-year
- 1:13:21Speaker 18: history is, he'll be right up there passed with Washington
- 1:13:25Speaker 18: and Lincoln and Trump as three of the greatest presidents ever.
- 1:13:28Speaker 7: I have no doubt about that, Chad, no doubt at all.
- 1:13:31Speaker 7: I'm still getting over the shock of you cheating on
- 1:13:33Speaker 7: me with Steve Bannon, but that aside, look, I'm optimistic.
- 1:13:40Speaker 7: And look, I'm also a realist, and my optimism, I
- 1:13:45Speaker 7: just can't believe the American people are going to choose
- 1:13:47Speaker 7: communism over freedom. My brain can't go that far.
- 1:13:52Speaker 6: I agree.
- 1:13:53Speaker 7: I may be way off base, but I'd rather go
- 1:13:56Speaker 7: into the elections getting people fired up as opposed to
- 1:13:59Speaker 7: demoralizing the voters, like many in the talk radio world
- 1:14:02Speaker 7: are doing. And I've got 60 seconds for you to
- 1:14:04Speaker 7: give me a reply there and final thoughts.
- 1:14:07Speaker 18: Well, you and I have talked about so much of
- 1:14:09Speaker 18: this privately that now it's time to talk about, listen,
- 1:14:12Speaker 18: I don't think people are going to sell out to communism, socialism.
- 1:14:15Speaker 18: And people operate out of fear of faith, right? They're
- 1:14:17Speaker 18: operating out of the stick or the carrot. And I'm
- 1:14:20Speaker 18: like you. I'd rather do the optimistic, sunny side. I
- 1:14:23Speaker 18: believe there's an undercurrent. I'm looking in these pastors' eyes.
- 1:14:26Speaker 18: I am challenging them. I'm watching their pastor buddies challenge them.
- 1:14:30Speaker 18: I'm like you. I believe the American people are going
- 1:14:32Speaker 18: to respond to this. And I believe that every time
- 1:14:34Speaker 18: we're faced with something like this, and it's appropriate in
- 1:14:36Speaker 18: the 250th year, I believe they're going to respond and
- 1:14:39Speaker 18: we're going to preserve this nation. The country's really at stake.
- 1:14:42Speaker 18: And so sometimes it takes a little bit of the
- 1:14:44Speaker 18: stick and the carrot to get people out there to say,
- 1:14:47Speaker 18: we've got to do something about this. We cannot sit
- 1:14:49Speaker 18: this out and treat it like a typical midterm election
- 1:14:51Speaker 18: just because it's historically against whoever's in the White House.
- 1:14:55Speaker 18: This is a time to go express your feelings and
- 1:14:57Speaker 18: express it by your vote and talk to everybody you know, brother.
- 1:15:00Speaker 7: All right, Chad Conley, Faith Wins. Chad, we're going to
- 1:15:03Speaker 7: check in with you between now and Election Day on Tuesday.
- 1:15:05Speaker 7: Appreciate it.
- 1:15:06Speaker 4: Yes, sir.
- 1:15:07Speaker 6: Love you, brother.
- 1:15:07Speaker 14: All right.
- 1:15:08Speaker 7: There you go, ladies and gentlemen. And by the way,
- 1:15:10Speaker 7: this segment brought to you by Newsmax. People are switching
- 1:15:14Speaker 7: by the millions. Going to Newsmax on cable, our streaming
- 1:15:17Speaker 7: channel Newsmax 2, and downloading our free Newsmax app. On
- 1:15:21Speaker 7: smartphones and TVs, Reuters says Newsmax is one of the
- 1:15:24Speaker 7: top news brands in the nation. So find out why
- 1:15:28Speaker 7: Newsmax is the fastest-growing news channel in America. Make the
- 1:15:32Speaker 7: switch today and join our news revolution. All right, hang tight, everybody.
- 1:15:37Speaker 7: Hour 3 of The Big Show coming up next.
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: From Memphis, Tennessee. On the banks of the mighty Mississippi.
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: It's America's conservative blowtorch.
- 1:16:06Speaker 7: That's us, that's right. I love this American ride.
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: Todd Starnes.
- 1:16:15Speaker 7: Alright, hello everybody. Welcome. You know, I've been thinking about this, Dylan.
- 1:16:21Speaker 7: I think we need to deputize the entire radio show
- 1:16:26Speaker 7: listening audience. In advance of the midterm election. So they
- 1:16:30Speaker 7: can be our official poll watchers, and they can provide
- 1:16:34Speaker 7: us with reports across the fruited plain as to what
- 1:16:38Speaker 7: is happening in the country. So maybe we need to
- 1:16:42Speaker 7: come up with some sort of an oath that I
- 1:16:45Speaker 7: do solemnly swear that I will faithfully uphold the values
- 1:16:52Speaker 7: of the integrity of the Todd Stern's radio show audience.
- 1:16:56Speaker 7: As we report the news in our communities.
- 1:16:59Speaker 4: That's pretty good. That also is incentivizing them to also vote, too.
- 1:17:03Speaker 7: It's true. You know, if we would have thought about this,
- 1:17:06Speaker 7: I don't know, ahead of the commercial break, we could
- 1:17:09Speaker 7: have had some sort of an official badge made.
- 1:17:12Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:17:13Speaker 4: Too bad we just came up with it just now. Yeah,
- 1:17:15Speaker 4: it's too bad.
- 1:17:16Speaker 7: We are going to be a libtard free zone.
- 1:17:18Speaker 3: Yes, of course.
- 1:17:19Speaker 7: That's what we're going to be. By the way, I
- 1:17:22Speaker 7: get so much hate mail. The liberals hate that. How
- 1:17:25Speaker 7: dare you call me a libtard? I'm going to lose
- 1:17:28Speaker 7: my mind. Oh, sorry about that, libtard.
- 1:17:35Speaker 4: You're pretty good at triggering them.
- 1:17:36Speaker 9: I know.
- 1:17:37Speaker 6: I know.
- 1:17:38Speaker 7: Yes, exactly. So the guy, when we were in Houston
- 1:17:42Speaker 7: at our big book signing a couple of weeks ago,
- 1:17:44Speaker 7: We actually had a guy show up, and he brought
- 1:17:47Speaker 7: his daughter, who was a liberal, and he didn't tell
- 1:17:50Speaker 7: her where she was going, right? So I guess she
- 1:17:52Speaker 7: drives him around to various and sundry places. And she
- 1:17:57Speaker 7: showed up, and she was right smack in the middle
- 1:18:00Speaker 7: of the largest gun store in America and surrounded by conservatives.
- 1:18:06Speaker 3: Wow.
- 1:18:07Speaker 4: I wonder what happened. Did she convert?
- 1:18:09Speaker 7: Yeah, I think she may have been triggered. I mean,
- 1:18:12Speaker 7: that was information overload.
- 1:18:13Speaker 4: It had to be.
- 1:18:15Speaker 7: No doubt about it. No doubt about it. So anyway,
- 1:18:18Speaker 7: we do want to hear from you, though, and you
- 1:18:21Speaker 7: are the eyes and the ears of the show. So
- 1:18:24Speaker 7: you're out there. You're giving us reports on what's happening
- 1:18:27Speaker 7: in your communities. How's early voting going? What are you sensing?
- 1:18:33Speaker 7: And that is why Tom is on the phone. He's
- 1:18:36Speaker 7: calling in from Houston, Patriot Talk 920, our great affiliate there. Tom,
- 1:18:40Speaker 7: I understand you've been out and about. Tell us what's
- 1:18:44Speaker 7: going on.
- 1:18:45Speaker 3: Yes, sir, Todd. I just voted and you voted with me.
- 1:18:50Speaker 3: I took my phone in, had my earpiece in, because
- 1:18:54Speaker 3: here in Harris County, we have 106 selections on our ballot.
- 1:19:00Speaker 7: Wait, how many?
- 1:19:00Speaker 11: 106.
- 1:19:03Speaker 7: Good Lord.
- 1:19:05Speaker 3: And I understand it's the longest ballot in the country.
- 1:19:08Speaker 3: But I sat there and I did my due diligence.
- 1:19:11Speaker 3: There was only three people I didn't vote for because
- 1:19:14Speaker 3: there was no Republican opponent. And it was in and out,
- 1:19:20Speaker 3: very easy. I understand there's a whole... And my regular
- 1:19:26Speaker 3: location that I went to, they changed it. So that's
- 1:19:29Speaker 3: a good reason to early vote because, you know, you're
- 1:19:34Speaker 3: used to going or grandma's used to going to you know, the, the, uh,
- 1:19:37Speaker 3: Methodist church annex building and, uh, boom, they change it
- 1:19:41Speaker 3: and nobody can find the new spot on election day. But, uh,
- 1:19:45Speaker 3: it was a, it was a good experience and I'm
- 1:19:47Speaker 3: glad I carried y'all with me for support, but you,
- 1:19:51Speaker 3: you made a big mistake right there. Just a second ago,
- 1:19:54Speaker 3: you said a libtard that was educated. That's an oxymoron,
- 1:20:00Speaker 3: isn't it?
- 1:20:01Speaker 7: Tom, you see, this is why this radio show is
- 1:20:04Speaker 7: so successful, because of the brilliant minds of our listeners. Yes,
- 1:20:09Speaker 7: that was, in fact, an oxymoron, Tom. Yes, sir.
- 1:20:12Speaker 3: Well, I think that you need to go to grammar
- 1:20:16Speaker 3: jail for a period of three and a half weeks
- 1:20:21Speaker 3: with nothing but pressed bologna sandwiches.
- 1:20:24Speaker 7: Well, you know, look, I'm from Memphis, Tennessee. We barbecue
- 1:20:27Speaker 7: our bologna here, Tom, so that's actually not a punishment, but.
- 1:20:31Speaker 3: They're cold with mayonnaise. That's how it comes.
- 1:20:33Speaker 7: Okay, that's a punishment.
- 1:20:34Speaker 3: Yeah, that's... Wrapped in saran wrap. They made them three
- 1:20:38Speaker 3: days ago.
- 1:20:39Speaker 6: Wow. Wow.
- 1:20:40Speaker 7: Tom, you really thought through all of this.
- 1:20:43Speaker 3: No, I've just been in jail before.
- 1:20:46Speaker 7: Oh, well, there you go.
- 1:20:48Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:20:49Speaker 7: All right, Tom. God bless you, my friend. And thank
- 1:20:54Speaker 7: you for the intel. Tom from Texas.
- 1:20:59Speaker 4: So that's what they eat in jail.
- 1:21:00Speaker 7: Apparently so.
- 1:21:01Speaker 4: Cold bologna sandwiches with mayonnaise.
- 1:21:03Speaker 7: That's not too bad.
- 1:21:04Speaker 8: I mean.
- 1:21:04Speaker 4: It could be worse.
- 1:21:05Speaker 7: What color is the bologna? I mean, if it's green
- 1:21:07Speaker 7: or something.
- 1:21:08Speaker 4: You know. The three-day thing kind of caught me off guard.
- 1:21:10Speaker 7: What's the one? There's one Italian deli meat that's got
- 1:21:13Speaker 7: green stuff in it. You know what I'm talking about?
- 1:21:15Speaker 4: I don't think I've had it.
- 1:21:16Speaker 7: I don't know. I'd be afraid to eat that.
- 1:21:19Speaker 10: Me too.
- 1:21:20Speaker 4: Anything green that's not like a vegetable is kind of
- 1:21:23Speaker 4: freaking me out.
- 1:21:24Speaker 7: By the way, early voting is wrapping up, everybody, and
- 1:21:28Speaker 7: today's the last day in Tennessee. But Kentucky, October 31st,
- 1:21:34Speaker 7: that's when you guys wrap up as well. So be
- 1:21:38Speaker 7: sure to make sure you get out and vote early. Otherwise,
- 1:21:41Speaker 7: I predict you're going to be in some long lines
- 1:21:43Speaker 7: on Election Day. That's what I think is going to happen.
- 1:21:47Speaker 7: I want to play some audio here. I want to
- 1:21:50Speaker 7: set this story up. I think there is, and I
- 1:21:55Speaker 7: think this may be one of the reasons why there's
- 1:21:57Speaker 7: a lot of just mystery about the midterm elections, and
- 1:22:01Speaker 7: just there's a weird mood and vibe in the country
- 1:22:05Speaker 7: right now. And I remember years ago, and many of
- 1:22:09Speaker 7: our old-timers might remember this story, there was a movie,
- 1:22:15Speaker 7: and it was about a broadcaster, and there was a
- 1:22:20Speaker 7: line in the movie It's called Network, and it came
- 1:22:25Speaker 7: out in 1976. And it was really a dark comedy
- 1:22:30Speaker 7: about broadcast TV and the power of broadcasting to sway
- 1:22:34Speaker 7: people and ultimately the impact that TV and news can
- 1:22:40Speaker 7: have on the culture at large. And there was a
- 1:22:44Speaker 7: moment in the film when the news anchor, who's lost
- 1:22:49Speaker 7: his mind, He gets in front of the camera, and
- 1:22:52Speaker 7: he's sweating profusely. I think it was like a rainstorm
- 1:22:54Speaker 7: or something. He comes in, and he's drenched, and he
- 1:22:57Speaker 7: tells the audience, I want you to open up your
- 1:22:59Speaker 7: windows wherever you are, and this was happening in New
- 1:23:02Speaker 7: York City, and I want you to scream as loud
- 1:23:06Speaker 7: as you can, I'm mad as hell, and I'm not
- 1:23:08Speaker 7: going to take it anymore. And he went on and
- 1:23:11Speaker 7: on and on, and then soon people all over New
- 1:23:14Speaker 7: York City started opening up their windows and their doors,
- 1:23:18Speaker 7: and they just started shouting, I'm mad as hell, and
- 1:23:20Speaker 7: I'm not going to take it anymore. And I think
- 1:23:26Speaker 7: that's where we are as a country right now, and
- 1:23:31Speaker 7: especially men of a certain age, and I would say
- 1:23:35Speaker 7: men who are in their late 20s into their 40s.
- 1:23:38Speaker 7: who have really suffered as a result of the Barack
- 1:23:41Speaker 7: Hussein Obama administration and the policies of the administration, the
- 1:23:46Speaker 7: idea that many of them got saddled with all sorts
- 1:23:50Speaker 7: of insane, ridiculous debt because they went to college, because
- 1:23:54Speaker 7: Obama told them, if you don't go to college, you're
- 1:23:56Speaker 7: not going to be successful. You can't get your American dream.
- 1:24:00Speaker 7: And so a lot of these guys went to college,
- 1:24:02Speaker 7: and now they're broke. Many of them are living at
- 1:24:04Speaker 7: home still. Many of them are having to work extra
- 1:24:09Speaker 7: jobs just to make ends meet. And then along comes
- 1:24:13Speaker 7: the Republican presidents, and I got to tell you, you know,
- 1:24:16Speaker 7: Trump has really not done a lot to stop the
- 1:24:20Speaker 7: influx of H-1B visa holders. So now you have a
- 1:24:23Speaker 7: bunch of people from other countries, and predominantly India, that
- 1:24:27Speaker 7: are being brought in, and these predominantly white guys are
- 1:24:31Speaker 7: losing their jobs. They're being pushed aside for cheap foreign labor.
- 1:24:37Speaker 7: And it is happening everywhere in America. It's happening here
- 1:24:40Speaker 7: in the Memphis area with FedEx. FedEx used to be
- 1:24:44Speaker 7: the good guys. But let me tell you something. They're
- 1:24:47Speaker 7: not the good guys anymore. They're getting rid of a
- 1:24:51Speaker 7: lot of very good and decent Americans, and they're being
- 1:24:54Speaker 7: replaced by Indians. And it's not right. And a lot
- 1:24:59Speaker 7: of people are angry about it. A lot of people
- 1:25:02Speaker 7: are really angry at how men especially have been put upon.
- 1:25:07Speaker 7: And then you've got this younger generation coming out here and,
- 1:25:10Speaker 7: you know, with the social media and the TikTok and
- 1:25:14Speaker 7: all that kind of stuff and the Instagram and the videos.
- 1:25:17Speaker 7: And they're wanting to, you know, there's no such thing
- 1:25:20Speaker 7: as privacy anymore. There's no such thing as common sense.
- 1:25:24Speaker 7: And people are sick of it. They're just sick of it.
- 1:25:29Speaker 7: So there was a guy, and he was filmed. I
- 1:25:34Speaker 7: think it was at a Walmart. And Dylan, you've seen
- 1:25:36Speaker 7: this video that we're about to talk about. And the
- 1:25:41Speaker 7: guy works for Red Baron Pizza. I guess he's a
- 1:25:44Speaker 7: delivery guy. So he delivers the pizzas to the grocery
- 1:25:47Speaker 7: stores and the supermarkets and the whatnot. And that is
- 1:25:50Speaker 7: a hard job. I mean, in a lot of those cases,
- 1:25:52Speaker 7: my understanding is those guys who drive the trucks, it's
- 1:25:57Speaker 7: usually 5 a.m. till 8 or 9 o'clock at night.
- 1:26:00Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:26:02Speaker 7: And you've got to work until you get everything delivered,
- 1:26:04Speaker 7: and those shelves are stocked. I mean, you worked at
- 1:26:08Speaker 7: a grocery store and went to high school and college.
- 1:26:12Speaker 7: It's a tough, tough job.
- 1:26:13Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, we saw those guys come in all
- 1:26:15Speaker 4: the time. I mean, they would be there first, and
- 1:26:18Speaker 4: they would be there last because they have several stores
- 1:26:20Speaker 4: that they have to visit. I mean, you have all day.
- 1:26:23Speaker 4: You have to go through store, store. It's a busy job.
- 1:26:26Speaker 7: It's a busy job, and sometimes it's a thankless job,
- 1:26:29Speaker 7: but it's a good job. And the reality is these
- 1:26:33Speaker 7: guys are not being recognized nationally. I don't think anybody,
- 1:26:36Speaker 7: you know, people probably aren't going to know their names,
- 1:26:38Speaker 7: not know what they do. And you can have that
- 1:26:43Speaker 7: conversation or that debate. They're regular Joes, you know, regular guys,
- 1:26:46Speaker 7: and they make America work. Thanks to those guys, you
- 1:26:50Speaker 7: can go in and you can get a Red Baron pizza.
- 1:26:53Speaker 7: I mean, it's a very practical thing. So anyway, there
- 1:26:57Speaker 7: was a Red Baron guy, and he was trying to
- 1:27:00Speaker 7: do his job. That's all he was trying to do
- 1:27:02Speaker 7: was stock the shelves there in the frozen food section.
- 1:27:08Speaker 7: And some punk, some young punk, these pranksters, you know,
- 1:27:12Speaker 7: the ones with the YouTube channels and Instagram and TikTok,
- 1:27:15Speaker 7: these little sons of– I'm sorry. You just– you know,
- 1:27:20Speaker 7: I'll explain their problem in a minute and why they
- 1:27:24Speaker 7: do this. But they decided that they're going to prank
- 1:27:27Speaker 7: this guy and they're going to film him and really
- 1:27:29Speaker 7: harass this guy. And the way they did it– and
- 1:27:32Speaker 7: I just need to set this up so you understand
- 1:27:33Speaker 7: what's going on. I don't know if they pretended to
- 1:27:37Speaker 7: steal his money, but they basically, you know, that deal
- 1:27:40Speaker 7: where you can put your phone and, you know, it'll
- 1:27:45Speaker 7: put money in your account. You got to be careful
- 1:27:47Speaker 7: about all those apps and everything on your phones. So
- 1:27:52Speaker 7: that's what they did. And the guy finally, he snapped.
- 1:27:57Speaker 7: And I don't even think it snapped. I think he's
- 1:27:59Speaker 7: just like, I think this guy is speaking for a
- 1:28:02Speaker 7: lot of people in America right now. We're just fed
- 1:28:06Speaker 7: up with all the bullshit. Well, I can't say that word.
- 1:28:09Speaker 7: They're fed up. People are just fed up. I want
- 1:28:13Speaker 7: you to take a listen to this.
- 1:28:15Speaker 6: Five in the morning and do ten more stores.
- 1:28:18Speaker 3: So this is not a joke to me.
- 1:28:20Speaker 7: Hey, excuse me.
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: You know what time it is, boss?
- 1:28:23Speaker 4: 11.35.
- 1:28:25Speaker 3: What are you doing?
- 1:28:29Speaker 6: Dude, thank you, bro.
- 1:28:31Speaker 7: I just took.
- 1:28:33Speaker 3: $ 10 out of it.
- 1:28:34Speaker 5: Huh?
- 1:28:34Speaker 2: But I need it.
- 1:28:35Speaker 6: But I need it real quick.
- 1:28:37Speaker 10: Listen, dude.
- 1:28:38Speaker 3: I am not aiming for this crap right now.
- 1:28:40Speaker 8: Apple Play?
- 1:28:41Speaker 16: Dude, did you hear me?
- 1:28:42Speaker 7: I just need to buy something real quick, though.
- 1:28:44Speaker 3: You think this is funny, don't you?
- 1:28:45Speaker 6: Are you recording me right now?
- 1:28:47Speaker 3: You should record me right now?
- 1:28:48Speaker 9: No, no, no.
- 1:28:49Speaker 4: I'm going to go report you.
- 1:28:50Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:28:52Speaker 14: Bye, boss.
- 1:28:54Speaker 4: Thank you for the $ 20, man.
- 1:28:54Speaker 7: I appreciate it. Are you for real, bro? It is
- 1:28:57Speaker 7: not that deep. It is not that.
- 1:28:59Speaker 6: I mean, if you really want to go outside.
- 1:29:01Speaker 7: It's not that deep, man.
- 1:29:02Speaker 3: It was just a joke.
- 1:29:02Speaker 9: It was just a joke.
- 1:29:03Speaker 3: It was just a joke.
- 1:29:12Speaker 16: No, it's not a joke to me, okay? I don't
- 1:29:14Speaker 16: have time for this crap in my life. My life
- 1:29:15Speaker 16: is hard enough as it is. Okay, I don't need
- 1:29:17Speaker 16: this crap. I got kids at home. They had one
- 1:29:19Speaker 16: today without me right now. And I was supposed to
- 1:29:21Speaker 16: be at home an hour ago. And I'm still out
- 1:29:24Speaker 16: here working. And I got to get up at 5
- 1:29:26Speaker 16: in the morning and do.
- 1:29:27Speaker 7: 10 more stores. So this is not a.
- 1:29:30Speaker 4: Joke to me.
- 1:29:31Speaker 6: Okay. And now I'm probably going to get kicked out
- 1:29:33Speaker 6: of the store because of you.
- 1:29:36Speaker 7: Not funny!
- 1:29:37Speaker 6: Okay, I'm sorry, man.
- 1:29:39Speaker 3: No, you're not sorry.
- 1:29:40Speaker 7: You got a smug look on your face.
- 1:29:42Speaker 4: I'm sorry, bro.
- 1:29:43Speaker 3: I'm sorry. I don't need this in my life!
- 1:29:45Speaker 6: No, I get you.
- 1:29:46Speaker 4: No, you don't!
- 1:29:48Speaker 7: You're probably making money off this.
- 1:29:49Speaker 6: I can't even pay my f.
- 1:29:51Speaker 14: * * * ing mortgage!
- 1:29:52Speaker 6: And I got four.
- 1:29:53Speaker 9: Kids at home!
- 1:29:54Speaker 7: So not funny!
- 1:29:57Speaker 6: I got you. I'm gonna leave.
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: I'm gonna leave.
- 1:29:59Speaker 6: You better not be out there when I do leave. Leave.
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: Go.
- 1:30:04Speaker 5: Now.
- 1:30:06Speaker 6: All right, you have a good night.
- 1:30:12Speaker 7: I watched this video, and then I watched it again,
- 1:30:15Speaker 7: and I watched it a third time, and I found
- 1:30:18Speaker 7: myself becoming more and more enraged as I'm watching this
- 1:30:23Speaker 7: because I realized that you could hear the emotion in
- 1:30:27Speaker 7: this guy's voice. He's doing everything humanly possible as a
- 1:30:33Speaker 7: father and as a dad to to take care of
- 1:30:35Speaker 7: his kids. He's working a job. He's exhausted. And you've
- 1:30:41Speaker 7: got these punk-ass kids. And you know what? I think
- 1:30:46Speaker 7: a lot of people resonate with what this guy was
- 1:30:49Speaker 7: going through. I don't think he really snapped. I think
- 1:30:52Speaker 7: he just had enough. He's done. And we see this
- 1:30:57Speaker 7: all over the country where these teenagers are going out
- 1:31:03Speaker 7: there with their bazillion-dollar smartphones, and they're trying to get
- 1:31:06Speaker 7: all this content for their social media websites and whatever,
- 1:31:11Speaker 7: and they don't care, sticking cameras in front of people's faces.
- 1:31:16Speaker 7: And I'm just going to tell you what the problem is.
- 1:31:18Speaker 7: And I'm not advocating for violence, but somebody needs to
- 1:31:22Speaker 7: beat the— honest to goodness, those kids needed a beatdown. Somebody
- 1:31:27Speaker 7: should have shoved that smartphone right up that kid's behind
- 1:31:31Speaker 7: and then put him on the toilet so he could
- 1:31:33Speaker 7: poop it out. That's exactly what should have happened. But
- 1:31:37Speaker 7: then the guy would have gone to jail. But we've
- 1:31:41Speaker 7: got a lack of parenting in this country, and these
- 1:31:45Speaker 7: kids are out there. And by the way, this is
- 1:31:48Speaker 7: a white kid, predominantly white kid problem. I don't know
- 1:31:50Speaker 7: if you've seen the videos, these pranksters out there.
- 1:31:53Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, they're the worst people ever.
- 1:31:57Speaker 7: Yeah, their parents should be ashamed. But these people, but
- 1:32:03Speaker 7: they're predominantly white kids.
- 1:32:05Speaker 4: It's one thing to have like a funny prank, but
- 1:32:07Speaker 4: like this is just dumb. Like you're just pissing off
- 1:32:10Speaker 4: people that are going through hard times at that point.
- 1:32:12Speaker 7: And it's not even a hard time. That's his life.
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:32:15Speaker 7: You know, people, and look, here's the deal. And this is,
- 1:32:18Speaker 7: so when you've got folks like that that are, you know,
- 1:32:20Speaker 7: they're not getting ginormous pay raises. And you got the
- 1:32:23Speaker 7: president of the United States, and no offense, President Trump,
- 1:32:26Speaker 7: But you're out there boasting about, oh, well, you people
- 1:32:29Speaker 7: can't afford the $ 5, 000 hamburger at Mar-a-Lago. Yeah, that's not
- 1:32:32Speaker 7: helping move the needle, Mr.
- 1:32:33Speaker 3: President.
- 1:32:34Speaker 7: We get what you're saying. But most people can't afford
- 1:32:37Speaker 7: a hamburger down at McDonald's right now because of the
- 1:32:41Speaker 7: insane prices. And a lot of people are frustrated. They
- 1:32:45Speaker 7: don't know how they're going to pay their bills. And
- 1:32:48Speaker 7: they're busting their asses out there working jobs like this.
- 1:32:51Speaker 7: And they're not asking for a handout. They're just trying
- 1:32:54Speaker 7: to live their lives. And I'm telling you, I think
- 1:32:59Speaker 7: this is one of the reasons why nobody can really
- 1:33:02Speaker 7: figure out what's going to happen on Election Day.
- 1:33:04Speaker 12: 901-260-5926.
- 1:33:04Speaker 7: That's 901-260-5926. Do you relate to this guy? We'll be
- 1:33:06Speaker 7: right back. All right, welcome back, everybody. This is the
- 1:33:25Speaker 7: Todd Stearns Radio Show. I love this kid from Texas,
- 1:33:28Speaker 7: 19 years old, talking about Ken Paxton and James Talafrico.
- 1:33:35Speaker 7: Cut number 41, please.
- 1:33:37Speaker 11: What's your name?
- 1:33:38Speaker 6: My name's Elijah.
- 1:33:39Speaker 11: Okay, and Elijah, what's your big issue? My big issue
- 1:33:42Speaker 11: is school choice.
- 1:33:43Speaker 5: I want to have the ability as a future father
- 1:33:46Speaker 5: to know what my kids are learning in school, know
- 1:33:48Speaker 5: what values are being instilled into them, see if they're
- 1:33:51Speaker 5: being indoctrinated or not. And if they are, I want
- 1:33:54Speaker 5: to have the freedom to put them in a place.
- 1:33:55Speaker 6: Where they're truly prospering.
- 1:34:01Speaker 9: Elijah, how old are you?
- 1:34:03Speaker 11: I'm 19.
- 1:34:04Speaker 7: Okay, future father, but you know what? He's a planner. Yeah,
- 1:34:11Speaker 7: good for him. Good for him. All right, we're getting
- 1:34:15Speaker 7: into the Alaska controversy, the big Senate race there, and man,
- 1:34:19Speaker 7: the Democrats are playing dirty. All right, this story out
- 1:34:31Speaker 7: of the New York Times is just, it's hilarious. This
- 1:34:36Speaker 7: has got to be a movie. This is the plot
- 1:34:38Speaker 7: for a movie. First, I want to bring into the
- 1:34:41Speaker 7: conversation our good friend and the Todd Stern Show chief
- 1:34:45Speaker 7: political strategist, Josh Jones, back with us. Josh, we're going
- 1:34:50Speaker 7: to be coming your way multiple times over the next
- 1:34:52Speaker 7: few days as we come to the election. So First,
- 1:34:55Speaker 7: I hope you're doing well, and I hope you put
- 1:34:57Speaker 7: some Red Bull on your Froot Loops today.
- 1:34:58Speaker 9: I'm doing good. I'm happy to jump on over the
- 1:35:03Speaker 9: next couple of days as we lead up to the election.
- 1:35:05Speaker 9: We're definitely in that final sprint at the moment.
- 1:35:09Speaker 7: So the story out of Alaska, and the New York
- 1:35:11Speaker 7: Times has the expose. is that the Democrat nominee for
- 1:35:16Speaker 7: the Senate, Mary Peltola, spent months recruiting candidates that had
- 1:35:22Speaker 7: the exact same name as the current senator, Dan Sullivan,
- 1:35:26Speaker 7: who is the Republican. Of course, they do ranked choice
- 1:35:28Speaker 7: voting there. So all of this coming from a disgruntled
- 1:35:33Speaker 7: staffer who was fired and now was spilling the beans.
- 1:35:38Speaker 7: So they found somebody who happens to be a Democrat
- 1:35:42Speaker 7: named Dan D. Sullivan, and they put him on the ballot,
- 1:35:46Speaker 7: so they got him to run against Dan S. Sullivan,
- 1:35:50Speaker 7: and now there is just pure chaos in Alaska. Have
- 1:35:56Speaker 7: you ever seen or heard of any shenanigans quite like this, Josh?
- 1:36:01Speaker 6: I haven't.
- 1:36:01Speaker 9: I mean, this is a first for me. Granted, I
- 1:36:03Speaker 9: guess in the grand scheme of things, I'm relatively new
- 1:36:06Speaker 9: to the political sphere, at least professionally. But no, I mean,
- 1:36:10Speaker 9: I haven't heard of something like this before. And frankly,
- 1:36:12Speaker 9: I think it speaks to Patola's ideology and her ideas.
- 1:36:17Speaker 9: She knows she can't win on the merit of her
- 1:36:19Speaker 9: ideas and her resume. So she's pulling out these crazy,
- 1:36:23Speaker 9: dirty tricks to try and fool voters in Alaska into
- 1:36:26Speaker 9: not voting for her opponents.
- 1:36:29Speaker 7: I know the governor there in Alaska, Dean Dunleavy, has
- 1:36:33Speaker 7: already launched an investigation. The Justice Department filing a lawsuit
- 1:36:37Speaker 7: in federal court hoping to block certification of the election
- 1:36:40Speaker 7: results if the votes for the other Mr. Sullivan cost
- 1:36:44Speaker 7: Senator Sullivan the win. I don't know the legalities of that.
- 1:36:48Speaker 7: I'm not sure that's actually if they've got firm legal standing.
- 1:36:52Speaker 7: But it certainly appears like the Democrats here are engaged
- 1:36:56Speaker 7: in some bit of voter fraud.
- 1:37:00Speaker 11: You're right.
- 1:37:00Speaker 9: I mean, this is an intentional diversion of our system
- 1:37:04Speaker 9: or perversion of our system to try and fool voters
- 1:37:06Speaker 9: into voting a way that they don't even intend to vote. So, look,
- 1:37:10Speaker 9: I think I'm no attorney either. I'll leave it to
- 1:37:13Speaker 9: the election attorneys to determine if anything illegal happened here.
- 1:37:16Speaker 9: But I think it's good for the governor and the
- 1:37:18Speaker 9: DOJ to at least look into this sort of thing,
- 1:37:20Speaker 9: because this isn't normal. I mean, the Democrats, and particularly
- 1:37:22Speaker 9: Mayor Patola, may try and paint it as, oh, we
- 1:37:26Speaker 9: had nothing to do with it, this is politics as usual,
- 1:37:28Speaker 9: but that's just not the case here.
- 1:37:29Speaker 7: Josh, as we're coming into the homestretch, what are you
- 1:37:33Speaker 7: hearing out there? I know the Speaker, Johnson, seems to
- 1:37:36Speaker 7: be pretty bullish about Republican chances, but what say you?
- 1:37:41Speaker 9: Yeah, look, the president, the speaker, the vice president, obviously
- 1:37:45Speaker 9: all of our Republican candidates, right, for Congress, are on
- 1:37:47Speaker 9: the campaign trail right now. And you just have to run, like,
- 1:37:51Speaker 9: you are 10 points behind, or if you are 10
- 1:37:52Speaker 9: points behind, you better be running like you're 20 behind.
- 1:37:56Speaker 9: Now through Election Day. So we're in that final stretch where, like,
- 1:38:00Speaker 9: everybody has these predictions going out on Twitter because, you know,
- 1:38:03Speaker 9: a week out from the election, everybody becomes an expert
- 1:38:05Speaker 9: on Twitter about how the election's going to go. I'm
- 1:38:09Speaker 9: not putting out any official predictions or things of that nature.
- 1:38:13Speaker 9: I will say I'm not set up for a while.
- 1:38:15Speaker 9: I think the polls are underestimating Republicans. We'll see if.
- 1:38:19Speaker 18: That's true or not, but that's my very 30,000-foot view
- 1:38:23Speaker 18: of things.
- 1:38:24Speaker 7: What about there in Virginia? Any interesting races on the
- 1:38:27Speaker 7: congressional side that you're looking at?
- 1:38:31Speaker 9: Yeah, in Virginia, you kind of have a great bellwether
- 1:38:33Speaker 9: of the night's going to go, most likely, because Virginia
- 1:38:37Speaker 9: is obviously beyond the East Coast. We'll have our polls
- 1:38:39Speaker 9: closed first.
- 1:38:40Speaker 14: Out of anybody.
- 1:38:40Speaker 9: And you can get congressional districts in Virginia to watch.
- 1:38:45Speaker 9: The most swinging district in Virginia is Virginia's second district,
- 1:38:48Speaker 9: which is the coastal Virginia, which has historically fled back
- 1:38:53Speaker 9: and forth, you know, a true toss-up district. And then
- 1:38:56Speaker 9: you have the first district in Virginia, which is more
- 1:39:00Speaker 9: of a Republican-leaning district historically, but still competitive. And then
- 1:39:03Speaker 9: you have the fifth district, which is a solidly Republican
- 1:39:06Speaker 9: district that Democrats are trying to flip. So I think
- 1:39:09Speaker 9: watching those three districts will kind of tell you If
- 1:39:12Speaker 9: there's an air quotes Democrat wave or blue wave on
- 1:39:16Speaker 9: Tuesday night.
- 1:39:17Speaker 7: I know the president this weekend is going to be
- 1:39:20Speaker 7: in Kansas, where Roger Marshall is fighting for his life.
- 1:39:25Speaker 7: Adam Hamilton, a liberal Methodist minister, is the Democrat nominee.
- 1:39:29Speaker 7: He pastors a big megachurch there in the Kansas City area.
- 1:39:34Speaker 7: And then on Sunday, he's going to be in Iowa.
- 1:39:38Speaker 7: I'm curious, and I asked this of Chad Conley earlier
- 1:39:41Speaker 7: in the show, these Trump rallies, what do you think
- 1:39:44Speaker 7: they're meant to accomplish, and have they been successful?
- 1:39:49Speaker 9: Look, I think the goal here from a political, you know,
- 1:39:52Speaker 9: strategic lens from the president's team, the president himself, is
- 1:39:56Speaker 9: Republican voters or, you know, those MAGA voters typically only
- 1:40:00Speaker 9: show up. whenever the president's on the ballot, all of
- 1:40:03Speaker 9: a sudden he's not on the ballot this cycle. So
- 1:40:05Speaker 9: he's going out there on the campaign trail for these
- 1:40:07Speaker 9: Republican candidates to get his voters that typically just vote
- 1:40:11Speaker 9: for him to vote a Republican ticket. And I think
- 1:40:14Speaker 9: that's the strategy here. If you look at some of
- 1:40:15Speaker 9: the cities in the district he's going to, they're strategically
- 1:40:19Speaker 9: going to the cities in districts where there is a
- 1:40:22Speaker 9: strong Bagger base, a Republican base, and they're just trying
- 1:40:25Speaker 9: to drive up that turnout. I think that's their strategy
- 1:40:28Speaker 9: heading into Election Day. Does it work? We'll find out
- 1:40:30Speaker 9: on Tuesday. There's no way to tell us right now,
- 1:40:33Speaker 9: but it's a good, in theory, strategy from the president's team.
- 1:40:39Speaker 7: Josh Jones joining us on our Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line today. Josh,
- 1:40:44Speaker 7: I even hate to ask this question, but looking ahead,
- 1:40:47Speaker 7: because you know... that as soon as the last ballot
- 1:40:52Speaker 7: is cast, we start talking about 2028, that is going
- 1:40:57Speaker 7: to be huge because you will not have a sitting
- 1:41:00Speaker 7: president on the ballot. How do you see, I mean,
- 1:41:03Speaker 7: we've already seen, people are already talking. What are you
- 1:41:07Speaker 7: hearing in D.C.? Yeah, I.
- 1:41:09Speaker 9: Mean, look, we're a long way down from the presidential election,
- 1:41:12Speaker 9: so who knows, frankly, but I think, you know, just
- 1:41:17Speaker 9: talking through the optics of things. The natural heir apparent
- 1:41:22Speaker 9: to Trump is obviously the vice president, who would be J.D.
- 1:41:25Speaker 9: Vance if he decides to run. Another strong contender from
- 1:41:29Speaker 9: the cabinet is obviously Secretary Rubio, who would make a
- 1:41:32Speaker 9: great candidate. So I think those are your probably top
- 1:41:34Speaker 9: two from the administration. Outside of that, I'm sure you'll
- 1:41:37Speaker 9: have a handful of governors and congresspeople run across the country. So, like,
- 1:41:42Speaker 9: it's really hard to tell, and we have a political
- 1:41:45Speaker 9: eternity from now until then. So we'll see what happens.
- 1:41:49Speaker 9: It also depends on what state the country is in
- 1:41:51Speaker 9: in 2028 economically. People are looking for a change candidate
- 1:41:55Speaker 9: versus a steady-the-ship candidate. So, look, we'll see no insider
- 1:42:01Speaker 9: information as of yet, but I'm sure after November, once
- 1:42:05Speaker 9: the new Congress gets born and D.C. gets going again,
- 1:42:08Speaker 9: you'll start to see the rumor mill spin up on
- 1:42:11Speaker 9: who's going to run in 2028.
- 1:42:12Speaker 7: So what happens after the elections? you guys in the
- 1:42:17Speaker 7: political world, do you, like, escape for, like, a couple
- 1:42:19Speaker 7: of months? You hit the beach somewhere and leave the
- 1:42:22Speaker 7: cell phones at home?
- 1:42:25Speaker 9: We try to. At least I try to. You know,
- 1:42:28Speaker 9: we'll have an election day next week, and then, thankfully,
- 1:42:32Speaker 9: everybody kind of tunes out of politics for like a
- 1:42:34Speaker 9: month or two afterwards, November, December, of all the holidays, families, etc.
- 1:42:38Speaker 14: so.
- 1:42:39Speaker 9: I think D.C. and everybody in the political sphere will
- 1:42:42Speaker 9: kind of take a breather afterwards, and then come January
- 1:42:45Speaker 9: when we get the new Congress, we're straight back into it.
- 1:42:48Speaker 7: All right. Josh, your analysis has been pretty incredible this
- 1:42:53Speaker 7: election cycle, and we'll be touching base with you between
- 1:42:56Speaker 7: now and Election Day. So I hope you get some rest,
- 1:42:59Speaker 7: and it's going to be a wild Tuesday.
- 1:43:02Speaker 9: Yeah, it's going to be a fun one.
- 1:43:04Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:43:05Speaker 7: Josh Jones, everybody, on our Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line.
- 1:43:09Speaker 17: Wow.
- 1:43:10Speaker 7: Yeah, we're going to have to at least take a
- 1:43:13Speaker 7: one-day break from politics before we jump back into it
- 1:43:16Speaker 7: after the election. All right, we've got to take a
- 1:43:20Speaker 7: quick break here. 901-260-5926, our telephone number. That's 901-260-5926. We'll
- 1:43:22Speaker 7: be right back.
- 1:43:37Speaker 4: All right.
- 1:43:38Speaker 7: Dylan, remember, was it a couple of weeks ago, we
- 1:43:40Speaker 7: had the folks from Sweden, right? Swedish TV?
- 1:43:45Speaker 15: Oh, yes.
- 1:43:45Speaker 4: I do remember them. I don't know if that was
- 1:43:50Speaker 4: a good impression or spot on.
- 1:43:51Speaker 18: I don't know.
- 1:43:52Speaker 7: It's like the Swedish chef from The Muppet Show. That's
- 1:43:54Speaker 7: my only knowledge of a Swedish accent.
- 1:43:57Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:44:00Speaker 7: Anyway. They broadcast the show. So we should back up
- 1:44:05Speaker 7: a little bit. So after we allowed them access to
- 1:44:09Speaker 7: our studios and they interviewed us and all of that, right,
- 1:44:13Speaker 7: got a message from one of our team members saying, Starnes,
- 1:44:16Speaker 7: are you sure these people were from Swedish TV? Or
- 1:44:21Speaker 7: is it Swiss TV?
- 1:44:23Speaker 4: Swiss TV.
- 1:44:23Speaker 6: Oh, shoot.
- 1:44:24Speaker 7: I got the wrong, you know.
- 1:44:26Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, the entire nation.
- 1:44:26Speaker 7: I got the whole nation.
- 1:44:27Speaker 4: Sweden, Switzerland. Yeah, that happens sometimes.
- 1:44:30Speaker 6: Okay.
- 1:44:32Speaker 7: Oopsie doopsie.
- 1:44:33Speaker 4: He's offended everyone in Switzerland.
- 1:44:35Speaker 7: Maybe.
- 1:44:36Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:44:36Speaker 7: I don't think that was very Swedish.
- 1:44:38Speaker 3: No.
- 1:44:38Speaker 7: So anyway, and they were French. That was the thing. So,
- 1:44:42Speaker 7: all right. My bad. I am so sorry. I've just
- 1:44:44Speaker 7: offended two nations.
- 1:44:45Speaker 4: It's already out. What's the worst that can happen?
- 1:44:48Speaker 7: Well, you never know. So we thought we were being pranked.
- 1:44:52Speaker 7: So they said, are you sure this may be like
- 1:44:55Speaker 7: Borat or somebody, Sacha Baron Cohen, who makes a whole
- 1:44:59Speaker 7: career of doing this.
- 1:45:00Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:45:01Speaker 7: And I thought, my gosh. So I've been a little
- 1:45:04Speaker 7: on edge.
- 1:45:06Speaker 18: Sure.
- 1:45:06Speaker 7: Waiting for this thing to come out because I had
- 1:45:08Speaker 7: no idea. So it turns out they're authentic.
- 1:45:11Speaker 4: They're real. Swiss TV is a real thing.
- 1:45:13Speaker 7: And we've got the video. We're not going to play
- 1:45:15Speaker 7: it because it's all in French. Including me. You're dubbed over.
- 1:45:21Speaker 7: I'm dubbed over.
- 1:45:22Speaker 4: French Todd. It didn't sound as good.
- 1:45:26Speaker 7: Oui, oui, Chris Hall.
- 1:45:28Speaker 4: Oui, oui, geez-a-loo.
- 1:45:30Speaker 7: So it's a geez-a-loo. Yeah. So I couldn't understand a
- 1:45:36Speaker 7: lick of it until they got the me-fees. And I'm like, oh,
- 1:45:40Speaker 7: that's us.
- 1:45:41Speaker 4: That was the one part that I understood. And then
- 1:45:43Speaker 4: I knew it was your turn to be on the screen.
- 1:45:46Speaker 7: So Memphis, and then Tud, Tud Starnes. That's how they
- 1:45:52Speaker 7: called me.
- 1:45:52Speaker 4: It looks pretty good, Todd, actually. The whole package. It
- 1:45:55Speaker 4: was like a news report. It was pretty good.
- 1:45:57Speaker 7: I thought they did a great job. I have no
- 1:45:59Speaker 7: idea what they were saying about us. They could be
- 1:46:02Speaker 7: saying that we're just a bunch of redneck hicks who
- 1:46:05Speaker 7: smoke pork butt and play banjos.
- 1:46:08Speaker 4: Yeah, which would be too far off, actually.
- 1:46:11Speaker 7: That's true, but at least it sounded good. I mean,
- 1:46:15Speaker 7: if they're going to insult you, you want somebody with
- 1:46:17Speaker 7: that accent insulting you.
- 1:46:19Speaker 4: Very true.
- 1:46:19Speaker 7: Oui, oui. Mais non. I have no idea what that means.
- 1:46:28Speaker 7: So all that to say it was nice. It is
- 1:46:31Speaker 7: what it is. Hey, are you doing Halloween decorations this year, Dylan?
- 1:46:36Speaker 4: No, I never do them.
- 1:46:38Speaker 7: So there's this crazy Karen chick, and she basically looks
- 1:46:41Speaker 7: like a Halloween costume in real life. And I don't
- 1:46:45Speaker 7: mean that in a bad way. Well, I do mean
- 1:46:46Speaker 7: it in a bad way. There's really not a good way.
- 1:46:49Speaker 7: But she's got the big glasses. You know, with the
- 1:46:53Speaker 7: female libtards, the libtards of the female persuasion, you know,
- 1:46:57Speaker 7: that's the giveaway. They either got the magenta hair. They
- 1:47:00Speaker 7: got the nose ring. They've got the giant, ginormous glasses.
- 1:47:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:47:06Speaker 7: And they drive Subarus. This one has the ginormous glasses.
- 1:47:10Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:47:10Speaker 7: And she's very upset. She is a social worker in Knoxville, Tennessee.
- 1:47:15Speaker 7: And she is very upset at the city council because
- 1:47:20Speaker 7: they have decorated downtown for Halloween. And at first I thought, oh,
- 1:47:24Speaker 7: this is like a church lady. But there's no church lady.
- 1:47:27Speaker 7: She's a far leftist. So she's very upset. And because
- 1:47:31Speaker 7: what they did was they set up ghosts. So they
- 1:47:34Speaker 7: basically took sheets. white sheets, and they made them look
- 1:47:39Speaker 7: like ghosts. And then they strung them up. You know
- 1:47:44Speaker 7: where this is all going, don't you? They strung up
- 1:47:48Speaker 7: those ghosts on invisible wire, so it looks like they're
- 1:47:53Speaker 7: hovering over the town. That was my Halloween voice.
- 1:48:05Speaker 4: Yeah, and I'm scared, so.
- 1:48:10Speaker 7: So anyway, and it is kind of like weird because
- 1:48:13Speaker 7: it looks like there are these ghosts like hovering in
- 1:48:16Speaker 7: between the trees in Knoxville or Knoxville. Vegas, as we
- 1:48:20Speaker 7: call it. And so anyway, this woman, her name is
- 1:48:23Speaker 7: Elizabeth Spencer Pitts. She says, maybe I'm sensitive. Oh, she's
- 1:48:28Speaker 7: also white. This is an important thing, an important part
- 1:48:32Speaker 7: of the story. She's white. She says, maybe I'm sensitive
- 1:48:36Speaker 7: and possessed of a very flighty and prolific imagination, but
- 1:48:41Speaker 7: this blank ain't copacetic in my humble opinion. The governance
- 1:48:46Speaker 7: and daily operations of and by the Knoxville City Government are,
- 1:48:50Speaker 7: by the most charitable estimations, simply tone-deaf and incompetent, and
- 1:48:56Speaker 7: in many cases just absolutely brutal in purpose and mechanism.
- 1:49:02Speaker 7: But I feel like this Halloween aesthetic is exceptionally off
- 1:49:06Speaker 7: the mark even for them. Jesus FC, can we not
- 1:49:11Speaker 7: just hang anthropomorphic figures and trees in a downtown southern
- 1:49:16Speaker 7: city right now? Oh my word.
- 1:49:22Speaker 4: Sounds like she had a cold bologna sandwich.
- 1:49:27Speaker 7: So, she's upset. And she's upset because she says that
- 1:49:33Speaker 7: the ghost decorations look like a white supremacist KKK lynching. Now,
- 1:49:42Speaker 7: I've never been to a lynching, but I'm pretty certain
- 1:49:46Speaker 7: that to lynch requires a rope hanging from a tree branch.
- 1:49:52Speaker 7: And normally there's, again, For a lynching, and I don't
- 1:49:55Speaker 7: mean any disrespect to anybody, but there's normally a body
- 1:49:59Speaker 7: dangling from the end of the rope, right? The noose.
- 1:50:04Speaker 7: Bubba Wallace. In his case, it wasn't a noose. It
- 1:50:08Speaker 7: was a garage door handle because the other one had
- 1:50:11Speaker 7: been broken. But in this case, I don't see this here. Dylan,
- 1:50:16Speaker 7: I'm looking at the ghost figures, and they basically look
- 1:50:22Speaker 7: like ghosts.
- 1:50:24Speaker 4: That's probably what most people think, too.
- 1:50:27Speaker 7: And I just, I mean, what kind of, where is
- 1:50:29Speaker 7: your brain at that you're walking through Knoxville, Tennessee and
- 1:50:33Speaker 7: you're like, oh my word, they're lynching black people. If anything,
- 1:50:39Speaker 7: it looks like members of the KKK, like a whole
- 1:50:42Speaker 7: KKK brigade got lynched because they're all wearing bed sheets.
- 1:50:48Speaker 4: She just needs to change her perspective just a little bit.
- 1:50:51Speaker 7: I think one of them is a floral print. That
- 1:50:53Speaker 7: must be a Gay Klansman. I may be mistaken. I
- 1:50:58Speaker 7: don't know. Did I just say that? I said that.
- 1:51:03Speaker 7: I shouldn't have said that. You know, I'm going to
- 1:51:05Speaker 7: get a visit now.
- 1:51:06Speaker 4: I know what I'm dressing up for.
- 1:51:11Speaker 7: There'll be a little miniature cross burning in my potted plant.
- 1:51:15Speaker 4: Oh, yes. You know it.
- 1:51:17Speaker 2: On the porch.
- 1:51:17Speaker 4: It's terrible.
- 1:51:19Speaker 7: It's terrible. So anyway, people are all in a tizzy
- 1:51:24Speaker 7: right now. And folks, just take a deep breath, a long,
- 1:51:28Speaker 7: deep breath. It has been almost 100 years since anybody
- 1:51:34Speaker 7: has been lynched in the South. So I don't think
- 1:51:37Speaker 7: that's a big problem. I mean, it's a terrible thing.
- 1:51:40Speaker 7: Don't get me wrong. I mean, it's awful. But, yeah,
- 1:51:44Speaker 7: people aren't getting lynched every day down here in Dixie.
- 1:51:47Speaker 7: I don't know who needs to hear that, but... You know,
- 1:51:50Speaker 7: when I was in Memphis or in Atlanta, people were
- 1:51:52Speaker 7: asking me, Todd, is it safe to go to Memphis?
- 1:51:55Speaker 7: I said, well, is it safe to go to Atlanta?
- 1:51:58Speaker 7: Are you kidding me? But it's a fair question. It's
- 1:52:02Speaker 7: a fair question. So there you have it, ladies and gentlemen.
- 1:52:07Speaker 7: Racist ghost in Knoxville, Tennessee. All right. Toddsterns.com, everybody. Go

- 1:52:17Speaker 7: a developing story out of Richmond, Virginia, where somebody got
- 1:52:21Speaker 7: shot outside of the Republican Party headquarters in Richmond. No
- 1:52:25Speaker 7: indication of this coming from party officials. No indication that
- 1:52:29Speaker 7: this had anything to do with the party itself. But
- 1:52:31Speaker 7: we'll keep you updated on that story as well at ToddStearns.com.
- 1:52:35Speaker 7: All right, folks, been a lot of fun today. Thank
