- 0:01Speaker 1: Hey, welcome back to another Good to Know podcast.
- 0:18Speaker 2: This is week two, and this is actually a.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Really, really good one because we have one of my
- 0:23Speaker 1: favorite people in the world joining us today.
- 0:26Speaker 2: You guys, give a big round of applause for.
- 0:29Speaker 1: entrepreneur, accountant, everything you could think under the sun, Jenny Cannon-Fu.
- 0:39Speaker 3: Hey! You're making me blush over here.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Yes, yes.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Yeah, what'd you go? Oh, I forgot.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Also, too, we are also joined by our lovely producer
- 0:51Speaker 1: and engineer, Nicky.
- 0:59Speaker 3: She said, just when I thought I wasn't going to
- 1:01Speaker 3: be on camera.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Pretty much. That's so funny. Yeah, I know.
- 1:05Speaker 1: I want to give Nikki a shout out. She does
- 1:07Speaker 1: a great job and she's awesome. And she's really funny.
- 1:11Speaker 2: So, okay.
- 1:12Speaker 1: With that being said, you guys were actually talking about
- 1:15Speaker 1: something I kind of want to get into too because
- 1:17Speaker 1: there's been only, there's been three owners of Laughs Unlimited
- 1:22Speaker 1: out of the 44 Four years?
- 1:25Speaker 2: Five?
- 1:25Speaker 3: 45?
- 1:26Speaker 2: 45 years. Wow. Yeah. So, yeah, you're a third owner.
- 1:30Speaker 2: You're like the Pittsburgh Steelers coach. Okay.
- 1:33Speaker 3: I don't know. Did the Steelers have a good year?
- 1:38Speaker 3: Do I want to be compared to them? Yeah.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Well, they only had three coaches in their whole NFL, like, span.
- 1:44Speaker 1: It was like Chuck Knoll. I can't remember the other
- 1:46Speaker 1: guy's name. And the guy just fired a dude right now.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Mike Tomlinson. but no I was going to say they just.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Fired the third one and you compared me to.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Him great but he never had a losing season that's
- 2:00Speaker 1: why it's so amazing like why are they firing this
- 2:02Speaker 1: guy who never had a losing season you know what I.
- 2:05Speaker 3: Just watched was the last dance with yeah Michael Jordan
- 2:12Speaker 3: and how they were all like they fired Phil Jackson
- 2:15Speaker 3: and then they brought him back for that one season
- 2:18Speaker 3: like how do you have so many championship seasons and
- 2:20Speaker 3: then you get fired i don't get it same thing.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Right yeah yeah it's ridiculous it's nuts.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Uh are we are we um uh is is uh
- 2:29Speaker 1: the the wi-fi messed up huh who knew you're coming
- 2:33Speaker 1: in clear on my recording but okay okay okay play
- 2:36Speaker 1: back it looks a little blurry okay no worries then
- 2:39Speaker 1: it's okay cool i'll just cut that part out uh
- 2:41Speaker 1: i was wondering worried um uh uh Yeah, so you
- 2:45Speaker 1: were talking about how you became the final owner of
- 2:50Speaker 1: Laughs and how that little interesting story.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Well, I'm the.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Current owner of Laughs. I mean, who knows if I'm
- 2:56Speaker 3: going to be the final owner.
- 2:58Speaker 2: You are. You're always going to own Laughs. Don't ever.
- 3:04Speaker 3: Don't even play like that. Yeah. Well, there's no current
- 3:08Speaker 3: plans to not be the owner.
- 3:10Speaker 1: How about that?
- 3:12Speaker 2: It's like a really cool good guy story.
- 3:14Speaker 3: Yeah. Oh yeah, where I, I worked for a bookkeeper
- 3:19Speaker 3: and then I took over the club from her and. Well,
- 3:25Speaker 3: I think the funnier part of the story was the story.
- 3:27Speaker 3: The part that I hadn't told yet was Steve was
- 3:29Speaker 3: trying to buy somebody to find somebody to buy the business.
- 3:32Speaker 3: And it was 2009 and it was a recession and
- 3:35Speaker 3: people couldn't get funding and you know, whatever. And he
- 3:38Speaker 3: was like, Jenny, I'll just sell it to you for cheap,
- 3:41Speaker 3: which I mean, it wasn't exactly cheap, but I don't know,
- 3:44Speaker 3: really relatively. to what he was thinking. And, um, I
- 3:50Speaker 3: laughed at him and I was like, you're crazy. And then, uh, JC,
- 3:55Speaker 3: who actually is a bartender at laughs and my best
- 3:58Speaker 3: friend and the father of my daughter. Now he said,
- 4:03Speaker 3: why wouldn't you even consider it? And I was like,
- 4:05Speaker 3: I don't know anything about running a comedy club. And
- 4:08Speaker 3: he was like, you know, everything, you know, the numbers.
- 4:11Speaker 3: And so I had to reconsider it and be like, Oh, Well,
- 4:16Speaker 3: I guess that's true. So really, really everybody should give
- 4:19Speaker 3: a big thanks to JC because he's the one that
- 4:23Speaker 3: was like, don't be a dodo bird.
- 4:25Speaker 2: The unsung hero, JC.
- 4:27Speaker 3: The unsung hero. That's him.
- 4:30Speaker 2: That's so funny.
- 4:31Speaker 1: You know, and he's also the one that did a
- 4:33Speaker 1: lot of the work building the stage to where it's
- 4:35Speaker 1: at now.
- 4:37Speaker 3: Yeah, let's talk about the stage, Carlos. I tell everybody
- 4:40Speaker 3: about the stage. How Carlos bullied me into getting that stage.
- 4:44Speaker 2: He did.
- 4:45Speaker 3: He ganged up on me with other comics. Oh, this
- 4:51Speaker 3: is going in my burn book.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Perfect.
- 4:53Speaker 3: It sounds very dramatic, doesn't it?
- 4:56Speaker 1: So what happened was... That's not... I didn't bully her.
- 5:00Speaker 3: We'll let Carlos tell his story and then I'll tell
- 5:02Speaker 3: my version.
- 5:04Speaker 2: It was.
- 5:04Speaker 1: I was like, yo, I've been wanting this stage. Because
- 5:07Speaker 1: the stage used to be in the middle... I'm not
- 5:08Speaker 1: in the middle. In the corner of the showroom.
- 5:12Speaker 2: And it made it like.
- 5:12Speaker 1: It was like a baseball field when you did stand-up,
- 5:14Speaker 1: which was fine.
- 5:15Speaker 2: It's great because it's good.
- 5:16Speaker 1: It made the room very long instead of wide.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Yeah. And then when you're on stage.
- 5:24Speaker 1: uh, the kitchen door was to your stage left. And so, yes,
- 5:28Speaker 1: they would come out while you're on stage and people
- 5:30Speaker 1: would be, you know, bringing food. And I was like,
- 5:33Speaker 1: you know, I would like to shoot a special here,
- 5:34Speaker 1: but I was like, I'd like to, when I shoot
- 5:35Speaker 1: my special, I want to move the, the stage over here.
- 5:38Speaker 1: I'm just going to have people sit on the stage
- 5:40Speaker 1: that we usually perform at. And I'll just make shift
- 5:42Speaker 1: a stage over here.
- 5:43Speaker 3: Just so I'm going to point out that we moved
- 5:44Speaker 3: that stage seven years ago and you still haven't shot
- 5:48Speaker 3: a special. Yeah.
- 5:50Speaker 1: And then, so I was going to, and then, and, um,
- 5:54Speaker 1: And then the pandemic hit and then I lost my
- 5:57Speaker 1: memory for a good four or five years and I'm
- 5:59Speaker 1: just barely getting back.
- 6:00Speaker 3: Excuses are like, what? Okay. Everybody's got one.
- 6:06Speaker 1: So, so I was like, yeah, so let's, I want
- 6:07Speaker 1: to move it there. And then, and then I was like,
- 6:09Speaker 1: you should just end up moving the whole stage there.
- 6:10Speaker 1: And she was like, no, I, I like my unique
- 6:13Speaker 1: room of, of standup, like the way it is, the set,
- 6:16Speaker 1: the setup.
- 6:16Speaker 2: And I was like, all right.
- 6:17Speaker 1: And then I still liked it because of that yeah
- 6:22Speaker 1: and then you were doing remodeling because we were doing
- 6:25Speaker 1: some remodeling and then there was a whole bunch of
- 6:26Speaker 1: comics there and I was.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Like what happened? I said this is where the bullying part.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Comes in yeah because I was like I go I
- 6:35Speaker 1: started standing where the mic would be at on center
- 6:38Speaker 1: stage as they cleared out the showroom and I'm like
- 6:40Speaker 1: right here I was like it would be dope and
- 6:42Speaker 1: then Ellis was there Ellis and Brad Bonner and they
- 6:45Speaker 1: were like what are you talking about and I was
- 6:46Speaker 1: like I'm trying to get Trying to get Jenny to
- 6:48Speaker 1: move the stage right here.
- 6:50Speaker 2: And then they all came and stood with me. They're like, oh.
- 6:53Speaker 3: And I'm in the room and they're all talking around me. No,
- 6:58Speaker 3: I can hear them. And just, just ganging up on me.
- 7:01Speaker 1: And they were like, oh yeah, this, oh, this is bad.
- 7:05Speaker 2: This would be perfect.
- 7:07Speaker 3: This is at the beginning of a three week renovation
- 7:09Speaker 3: where we're shutting the whole club down. And I mean,
- 7:12Speaker 3: like we basically did the work ourselves and, I'm, you know,
- 7:16Speaker 3: I was the general contractor and all of this. And
- 7:19Speaker 3: then Krause was like, yeah, we could just move a stage. Sure. Yeah.
- 7:23Speaker 1: And it was funny because, um, uh, Tristan was there too.
- 7:26Speaker 1: And Tristan was like, cause he was, we're all, everyone's
- 7:29Speaker 1: moving tables and chairs. Everyone's pitching in, you know, all
- 7:31Speaker 1: the comics. And it was funny. He was, he was
- 7:33Speaker 1: dismantling the, uh, the state of the, the other stage.
- 7:35Speaker 1: But like, um, well, he was not at that time, but, uh,
- 7:38Speaker 1: he was like, he was even too late. He was like,
- 7:40Speaker 1: oh shit, that, that will be nice.
- 7:42Speaker 2: That'd be dope.
- 7:43Speaker 1: You could see Jenny just, not liking the whole idea
- 7:46Speaker 1: that everyone's starting to agree and it's her club and
- 7:49Speaker 1: she's going to do what the fuck she wants to
- 7:50Speaker 1: do with it.
- 7:52Speaker 2: And then like, it's called science.
- 7:55Speaker 3: The more you, uh, the more you fight me, the
- 7:58Speaker 3: more I want to say no. So I'm digging my
- 8:00Speaker 3: heels in harder and harder about it.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Harder.
- 8:03Speaker 1: And it was like three or four days later, I
- 8:05Speaker 1: get a call and she goes, I thought about it.
- 8:09Speaker 2: And it was the next day.
- 8:11Speaker 3: We were going to, uh, we were going to Throckmorton
- 8:14Speaker 3: or no, Wait, that was the theater, right?
- 8:17Speaker 2: Stockport Theater over in Mill Valley?
- 8:19Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah. It was me, you, and Mike Paramore. We
- 8:22Speaker 3: were in the car.
- 8:23Speaker 2: That's right.
- 8:24Speaker 3: We went over to Stockport. That's right, Mike Paramore.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Yeah. And because he was even saying, too, he was like, hey,
- 8:30Speaker 1: it does make sense. You were like, shut up, because
- 8:34Speaker 1: that's going to make me not want to do it
- 8:35Speaker 1: even more. You're going to ruin this for them.
- 8:37Speaker 2: But that's right.
- 8:38Speaker 1: And you were like, and then you told me, you go,
- 8:41Speaker 1: the only way I'll do it you have to build
- 8:44Speaker 1: it and i was like i will i'll build it
- 8:46Speaker 1: i'm mexican i i've never stepped foot in a home
- 8:49Speaker 1: depot i don't know shit about hitting a nail and.
- 8:52Speaker 3: You'll see yeah you'll see a picture of him he's
- 8:54Speaker 3: holding a tool he was probably holding it upside down
- 8:56Speaker 3: by the sharp.
- 8:57Speaker 2: End and backwards.
- 9:00Speaker 1: And uh yeah no so uh we all we all
- 9:02Speaker 1: then we came back and we all pitched and we
- 9:04Speaker 1: dismantled the old stage and then we started working on
- 9:06Speaker 1: the uh i just listened to whatever jc told me
- 9:08Speaker 1: he's like hold this stay right there put right there
- 9:10Speaker 1: but he he basically designed it and all of it
- 9:13Speaker 1: and but we were just all pitching in and helped
- 9:16Speaker 1: building the stage but it was really it was really
- 9:18Speaker 1: a labor of love.
- 9:19Speaker 3: Some people he enjoyed he some people he appreciated pitching
- 9:23Speaker 3: in more than others.
- 9:27Speaker 1: I was good i didn't i listened i was i
- 9:29Speaker 1: was out of the way too i didn't because i
- 9:31Speaker 1: know what it's like to be frustrated and have someone
- 9:33Speaker 1: in the way like motherfucker move like doggy you keep
- 9:39Speaker 1: you keep standing there talking and it's like i get
- 9:41Speaker 1: it we're comics you're supposed to talk but fuck shut
- 9:43Speaker 1: up and get to get to work and um yeah
- 9:46Speaker 1: no it was it was interesting it was fun it
- 9:47Speaker 1: was fun and uh But, yeah, now the stage is
- 9:50Speaker 1: in the middle, and it's really nice, and we have
- 9:52Speaker 1: a long walkway, too, now.
- 9:54Speaker 2: It's dope. I like it. I enjoy it.
- 9:58Speaker 1: But, yeah, and then uh and you said 45 years
- 10:00Speaker 1: and it's what uh the what number the longest running
- 10:03Speaker 1: comedy club i think it's.
- 10:04Speaker 3: The ninth the ninth longest running comedy club in the nation.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Yeah i just was at um el paso at the
- 10:11Speaker 1: comic strip and um they're they're celebrating their 40th yeah
- 10:14Speaker 1: i was like oh interesting i was like yeah yeah
- 10:17Speaker 1: and they had a picture of laughs in there and
- 10:18Speaker 1: I was like, Oh, that's dope.
- 10:19Speaker 2: That's dope. It was like, I was like, that's cool.
- 10:21Speaker 3: Cool.
- 10:21Speaker 2: I love that. I love that. I was like, I'm
- 10:23Speaker 2: rocking with you then. Cause I fucks with it. Yeah.
- 10:26Speaker 3: Comedy cats just celebrated their 40th this year. This last
- 10:29Speaker 3: year too.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Oh, I didn't know that. I didn't know comedy cats
- 10:32Speaker 2: was that old. Oh, okay. Boom.
- 10:34Speaker 3: Yeah. And Danielle and her parents, it's been in the
- 10:37Speaker 3: family since like year two, like they've been running it
- 10:41Speaker 3: the entire time.
- 10:43Speaker 2: That's crazy. Yeah.
- 10:44Speaker 1: And, It's so funny because Laffs is the second.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Location, right? Because at first it was in the alley over.
- 10:55Speaker 3: It was over on K Street. It was 108 K Street.
- 10:58Speaker 3: I know that from the Bob Saget commercials that we have.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, that's right.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Bob Saget was doing commercials for Laffs Unlimited way, way
- 11:07Speaker 1: back in the day.
- 11:08Speaker 3: Yeah, you could hear R.I.P. You can hear Scott's voiceover
- 11:14Speaker 3: that laughs unlimited at 108 K Street. And the phone
- 11:18Speaker 3: number is still the same. 916-446-5905. It's still the same number.
- 11:24Speaker 3: We still have the same number.
- 11:26Speaker 2: That's great. That's funny.
- 11:27Speaker 3: That's interesting.
- 11:28Speaker 2: I didn't know that. And what do you have?
- 11:32Speaker 1: Do you have any like crazy stories of like nights
- 11:36Speaker 1: at laughs?
- 11:38Speaker 3: You know that that is... Loaded question.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Very loaded question.
- 11:42Speaker 3: I mean, like, every night is a crazy night. It
- 11:47Speaker 3: just depends, good crazy or bad crazy. I mean, I've
- 11:54Speaker 3: had customers be crazy. I had a customer try to
- 11:59Speaker 3: act like he was giving a comic a drink, like
- 12:02Speaker 3: he put it on the table in front of him,
- 12:04Speaker 3: but I had watched him drink out of it. And
- 12:09Speaker 3: he was already, he was already chatting. I was already over,
- 12:12Speaker 3: over next to him to tell him to be quiet anyway.
- 12:15Speaker 3: So I just, I just walked by and I was like, Hey,
- 12:17Speaker 3: I need you to stop talking to the comic, you know?
- 12:19Speaker 3: And you know how I do. I just say it
- 12:20Speaker 3: and walk away. Just give them a chance to correct
- 12:22Speaker 3: their own behavior and not make a big deal out
- 12:24Speaker 3: of it. And when I walked by the table, I
- 12:27Speaker 3: grabbed that glass. Cause I was like, no, I'm not
- 12:30Speaker 3: going to let the comic drink off this. And he
- 12:33Speaker 3: was like, and he told the comic, he's the, he's like, Hey,
- 12:36Speaker 3: she stole your drink. And the comic was smooth. He
- 12:38Speaker 3: was like, no, it was Joe Hill. He goes, no, she,
- 12:42Speaker 3: she's just taken out to the bar to bar for me.
- 12:44Speaker 3: She knows that I'm not going to drink it on stage.
- 12:45Speaker 3: So she's going to take it to the bar for me.
- 12:47Speaker 3: It's cool. You know, she's, he's trying to play it off.
- 12:50Speaker 3: And the customer goes that bitch. So I set the
- 12:55Speaker 3: drink on a table and walked back around and right
- 12:58Speaker 3: back to where I was. And I was like, and
- 12:59Speaker 3: now you can leave, get up, go. He's like, what
- 13:02Speaker 3: do I do? And I was like, you're obnoxious. Other
- 13:05Speaker 3: than that, you called me a bitch. What else does
- 13:07Speaker 3: it take? Just get out.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:09Speaker 3: And Joe was pissed. He got off stage afterwards and
- 13:15Speaker 3: he was like, I've never wanted to fight a customer
- 13:17Speaker 3: more than that for calling you a bitch. I was like, oh,
- 13:21Speaker 3: it wasn't even that serious. I wasn't even mad about it.
- 13:23Speaker 3: I was just like, get out.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Yeah, that's all I have to do, just get the
- 13:27Speaker 1: doors that way. So I got two from my experience. One,
- 13:33Speaker 1: I wasn't there, but I always hear about it, which
- 13:35Speaker 1: I wish I was there, because I'm usually always there
- 13:38Speaker 1: for a good story. Nikki, you're looking at maybe one
- 13:43Speaker 1: of the four people in the whole world that ever
- 13:45Speaker 1: stood up to Suge Knight.
- 13:47Speaker 2: And Cat Williams at.
- 13:48Speaker 3: The same time. Oh, shut the fuck up. I didn't
- 13:51Speaker 3: even stand up to shit tonight. Why do you even
- 13:53Speaker 3: say it like that? Oh, Lord.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Nah, you just weren't impressed. You're like, I'm not even.
- 13:59Speaker 3: Yeah, I was not impressed. That's different than, like, I
- 14:02Speaker 3: didn't try to fight the dude. I need your autograph.
- 14:07Speaker 2: Yeah. Because Cat Williams popped in.
- 14:09Speaker 3: Are you going to tell a story, or do I
- 14:10Speaker 3: have to tell it?
- 14:11Speaker 2: No, you tell it, because I wasn't there, so it's like,
- 14:13Speaker 2: I'd like to hear it.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Okay, Cavaliers popped in. That's when he was going on
- 14:19Speaker 3: his spree around Sacramento. He slapped a Target employee. Remember
- 14:27Speaker 3: they were riding scooters on the grounds of the Capitol
- 14:29Speaker 3: or something. He was just wilding out. Something happened when
- 14:35Speaker 3: he was in Oakland during his show. They stopped the
- 14:40Speaker 3: show early. I don't know. He was wilding out. He
- 14:43Speaker 3: was having a whatever. So he was at laughs with
- 14:47Speaker 3: an entourage and my stepdad was there for deliveries. And
- 14:51Speaker 3: my stepdad's an older white guy, I guess all older
- 14:54Speaker 3: white guys look alike. Right. And he was talking to skip,
- 14:59Speaker 3: like skip gave him his start at laughs, which he
- 15:03Speaker 3: wasn't even there at the time, but it was whatever.
- 15:06Speaker 3: So I show up and he's talking and he's walking
- 15:09Speaker 3: around and he's like, um, uh, it's the wood that
- 15:12Speaker 3: makes you funny and you know, And I was just
- 15:16Speaker 3: unimpressed because I was just like, Oh Lord. Um, and he, uh, Larry,
- 15:24Speaker 3: who was a bartender at the time and part-time manager,
- 15:27Speaker 3: he was like, where's Suge Knight at? Because he's, uh,
- 15:31Speaker 3: you know, he's like always around wherever, uh, wherever Kat is.
- 15:35Speaker 3: And sure enough, here comes the SUV across the street,
- 15:38Speaker 3: pulls up double parks, comes inside there's Suge Knight. I said, well,
- 15:43Speaker 3: you spoke too soon. So JC was trying to get
- 15:47Speaker 3: a picture of me with Kat Williams, which I was like,
- 15:52Speaker 3: I don't like to be, I don't like to have
- 15:56Speaker 3: attention to them. Yeah. I don't like to spotlight. I
- 15:59Speaker 3: don't like any of it. I'd like to sit in
- 16:01Speaker 3: the back and run the numbers. And so I walked over,
- 16:05Speaker 3: I was standing by the front door and I was
- 16:07Speaker 3: standing shoulder to shoulder with Suge Knight. And I, Cat
- 16:11Speaker 3: Williams comes around and he's fixing to leave and he's like,
- 16:14Speaker 3: I was doing comedy here back when Tupac was alive.
- 16:19Speaker 3: And I said, isn't Tupac still alive? And he said,
- 16:23Speaker 3: how disrespectful to say in front of Suge Knight. And
- 16:27Speaker 3: I just went like this and tapped his shoulder and said,
- 16:30Speaker 3: my bad. And then they left. And that was the end.
- 16:34Speaker 2: I mean, it's so funny because you're what, 6'4?
- 16:39Speaker 3: I'm 6'2.
- 16:40Speaker 2: You're 6'2. Okay, 6'2. So it's like, you're not, I mean,
- 16:43Speaker 2: I think he's, I think he has almost the same height.
- 16:44Speaker 2: I was like, oh.
- 16:46Speaker 3: Yeah, we're the same height. We were standing shoulder to shoulder.
- 16:48Speaker 3: It was, I mean, I was not physically intimidated by
- 16:51Speaker 3: his size.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Hilarious.
- 16:52Speaker 3: Plus, we're also in Old Sacramento. I'm not a threat
- 16:56Speaker 3: to him. What's he, what's he going to do?
- 16:59Speaker 2: And that's the day, from then on, she was known
- 17:02Speaker 2: as Suge White.
- 17:04Speaker 3: Well, I got Suge White was later. Ellis started calling
- 17:09Speaker 3: me Suge White and that just stuck. I think that's
- 17:14Speaker 3: less because I met Suge Knight and more because everybody's
- 17:17Speaker 3: so intimidated by me. I mean, I only hung a
- 17:20Speaker 3: guy off that balcony one time.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Yeah, right.
- 17:27Speaker 1: But the other story that I have, I was there
- 17:29Speaker 1: because I was on stage and I was doing the
- 17:33Speaker 1: set and it was going well and having a great time,
- 17:36Speaker 1: and there was one table that was in the front.
- 17:40Speaker 1: It was so funny because it was just one table
- 17:41Speaker 1: that was empty in the front. It had been empty
- 17:44Speaker 1: for the whole show, and I want to say I'm
- 17:46Speaker 1: probably like 20 to 30 minutes in, and this guy
- 17:52Speaker 1: and this girl and another guy make their way and
- 17:55Speaker 1: sit at the table, and then they proceed to talk
- 17:58Speaker 1: so loud that I can't, I'm trying to ignore them
- 18:02Speaker 1: to let them situate themselves because I don't want to
- 18:07Speaker 1: be all in people's shit. I was like, I'm just
- 18:08Speaker 1: going to hit, bop, bop, bop. And at one point,
- 18:12Speaker 1: the lady keeps talking over me as I'm on the mic.
- 18:16Speaker 1: And I go, hey, I'm... I was like, are you okay?
- 18:19Speaker 1: I was like, you're being really loud. I was like,
- 18:21Speaker 1: I have a microphone and I can hear you. The
- 18:22Speaker 1: whole room can hear you. So what is it that
- 18:24Speaker 1: you need? And then she looked at me and she
- 18:25Speaker 1: was like, don't. Don't you even start.
- 18:28Speaker 3: No.
- 18:28Speaker 2: She just went.
- 18:30Speaker 1: She was fucking telling me to, like, you know, don't
- 18:33Speaker 1: even fuck with her. But I'm like, I'm not fucking
- 18:35Speaker 1: with you.
- 18:35Speaker 2: You're the one fucking being loud.
- 18:37Speaker 1: And then I can see Jenny slowly getting out of
- 18:40Speaker 1: the sound booth and making her way towards her to
- 18:42Speaker 1: go tell them to stop her to knock it off.
- 18:45Speaker 2: And out.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Of nowhere, the boyfriend or whatever, her date, grabs her
- 18:52Speaker 1: by the throat and picks her up out of her
- 18:55Speaker 1: chair and then proceeds to take her out.
- 18:58Speaker 2: And the guy.
- 18:59Speaker 1: That was there with her, he was like, I'm sorry.
- 19:01Speaker 1: But I was like, holy shit. I want her to
- 19:03Speaker 1: shut up. I just– I don't want to get her
- 19:05Speaker 1: fucked up. And Jenny kind of looked and kind of
- 19:08Speaker 1: like was like, well, I was going to do that.
- 19:12Speaker 2: I wasn't going to do that, but I was going
- 19:13Speaker 2: to do something similar. All right. I'm just going to
- 19:14Speaker 2: go back to my– but that was so.
- 19:20Speaker 3: Wild sometimes they take themselves.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Out yeah and then later on you told me uh
- 19:25Speaker 1: what i don't know if it was you or one
- 19:26Speaker 1: of the people told me they go yeah they um
- 19:28Speaker 1: they snuck in they didn't even pay i was like
- 19:31Speaker 1: so you're gonna sneak in uh 30 minutes while the
- 19:35Speaker 1: headliner's on that means you're super fucking late and not
- 19:38Speaker 1: only that you're not gonna sneak in and sit in
- 19:39Speaker 1: the back you're gonna go to the front row and make.
- 19:43Speaker 3: A scene and be just Yeah.
- 19:45Speaker 1: And then and then beat your brought up right in
- 19:47Speaker 1: front of the whole fucking community i was like oh
- 19:50Speaker 1: man it's wild i love it i love laughs there's.
- 19:53Speaker 3: A there's another crazy uh customer story uh i don't
- 19:58Speaker 3: i i don't know if you know this one maybe
- 20:00Speaker 3: um so i mean we had a packed house full
- 20:02Speaker 3: room you know everything and um there was this, this
- 20:07Speaker 3: guy and girl, they were kind of interacting during the show,
- 20:09Speaker 3: but it was totally manageable. They were fine. And then
- 20:13Speaker 3: they get up to leave and they're in the back
- 20:15Speaker 3: of the showroom and the comic gets off stage, you know, big,
- 20:21Speaker 3: big finale. Everybody's clapping. Yay. And she, he walks out
- 20:26Speaker 3: and she walks like she's, I thought she was going
- 20:29Speaker 3: to the bathroom, but she, you know, we have that
- 20:31Speaker 3: cocktail station right there. She walks into the cocktail station.
- 20:35Speaker 3: which is just a curtain. And it's like a five
- 20:39Speaker 3: foot by three, four foot room with all of our supplies.
- 20:44Speaker 3: So I was like, oh, that's not the bathroom. So
- 20:46Speaker 3: I walk over there and then I hit the light
- 20:49Speaker 3: because it's dark. I hit the light and I turn
- 20:51Speaker 3: it on and I go, hey, are you all right?
- 20:53Speaker 3: And she has her hand over her nose like this.
- 20:56Speaker 3: She takes her hands away like this. She goes, he
- 20:59Speaker 3: bit me. He bit her nose. Like, hard enough to
- 21:05Speaker 3: make her bleed. And I'm like, what? Like, I didn't know. One,
- 21:13Speaker 3: I can't comprehend that an adult person just bit you.
- 21:16Speaker 3: And that it happened in a full showroom. I mean, like,
- 21:18Speaker 3: it was just timed right to where everybody was clapping. And, like,
- 21:21Speaker 3: there was, it just, like, was this thing. And, yeah,
- 21:26Speaker 3: called the cops. And, yeah, it was crazy.
- 21:29Speaker 2: That dude's nuts.
- 21:31Speaker 3: Corey and Chad were there. It was a Corey and
- 21:32Speaker 3: Chad weekend. Oh, yeah.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Oh, those guys are great. Yeah, it sounds like they're crowd....
- 21:39Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. She was like, he's... I don't remember which affiliation,
- 21:44Speaker 3: but she was like, he's a... I don't know. Whatever
- 21:47Speaker 3: gang it was. And I was like, that sounds like
- 21:50Speaker 3: bad news. I was like, well, hopefully he's not coming
- 21:53Speaker 3: back for you. That's all I want.
- 21:56Speaker 2: That's nuts. That's crazy.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Just bitter nose.
- 22:00Speaker 2: Like a Hannibal Lecter.
- 22:01Speaker 3: Yeah, like... I mean, how do you go back to
- 22:05Speaker 3: your gang hideout and say, you know, I just.
- 22:10Speaker 2: What do you say, like, the Batman villain?
- 22:12Speaker 3: I'd better ask. I mean, listen, Carlos, I don't know
- 22:16Speaker 3: if you... I might be called Suge White, but I
- 22:18Speaker 3: don't know if you look at me. I really don't
- 22:21Speaker 3: have the gang look.
- 22:23Speaker 2: She said their gang hideout. You think? Yeah, after I
- 22:26Speaker 2: bit the girl in the nose, I took off to
- 22:27Speaker 2: my hideout.
- 22:28Speaker 3: Uh-huh, my gang hideout. I don't know wherever the gang
- 22:34Speaker 3: people hang out, wherever that is.
- 22:37Speaker 2: What's up, fellow gangsters? Yeah, we had a dry out
- 22:41Speaker 2: for a couple weeks.
- 22:43Speaker 3: Let me tell you what I just did. I bit her.
- 22:46Speaker 3: She was talking back, so I bit her.
- 22:48Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 22:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:50Speaker 2: Well, with that great and lighthearted story, we're going to
- 22:52Speaker 2: roll on to our next segment. Great segment.
- 23:00Speaker 3: Let's see the most famous bite that would be Mike
- 23:02Speaker 3: Tyson okay next.
- 23:03Speaker 1: I know right okay so we do trivia and just
- 23:08Speaker 1: to spark conversation and silliness so let's see some people
- 23:13Speaker 1: are good some people aren't good who cares whatever just I'll.
- 23:16Speaker 3: Be terrible I am not a good trivia person at
- 23:19Speaker 3: all really I.
- 23:20Speaker 2: Thought you would be okay.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Okay okay all right so cool then all right here
- 23:25Speaker 1: we go so this is question one How many Oscars
- 23:31Speaker 1: has Martin Scorsese won?
- 23:35Speaker 3: Twelve.
- 23:37Speaker 2: No, I'm sorry. Would you like to try again?
- 23:40Speaker 3: Of course not. I just made it up.
- 23:44Speaker 2: Martin Scorsese has only won one Oscar in his whole career.
- 23:48Speaker 3: I wanted to say it with confidence, though.
- 23:51Speaker 2: I know. It did sound confident. I was like, damn.
- 23:52Speaker 2: Was I close?
- 23:52Speaker 3: I was going to give it to you.
- 23:55Speaker 1: I told Nikki before this.
- 23:58Speaker 3: I know. I told Nikki before this that I edited
- 24:02Speaker 3: all these questions. And it's not going to help me
- 24:06Speaker 3: at all.
- 24:07Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 24:08Speaker 3: Like I was only looking for spelling. I wasn't paying
- 24:11Speaker 3: attention to the answers. I was just making sure that
- 24:14Speaker 3: all of the words were capitalized and that there was punctuation.
- 24:18Speaker 3: I have no idea what any of these questions are
- 24:21Speaker 3: going to be. I was like, I should have cheated.
- 24:23Speaker 2: Do them. You know what's funny? Did I even say
- 24:27Speaker 2: that you own laughs? Oh, no, I did. I said
- 24:29Speaker 2: final owner. That's right. For a minute, I was like,
- 24:30Speaker 2: I was such an entrepreneur.
- 24:31Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah. We did a whole thing about it.
- 24:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:35Speaker 3: Brought to you by ADHD. I know.
- 24:39Speaker 2: Oh, my God. You are not lying.
- 24:41Speaker 3: This is how all of Carlos and my conversations go.
- 24:45Speaker 3: It's like seven different conversations at once, and then you
- 24:48Speaker 3: just got to pull the threads back to figure out
- 24:50Speaker 3: where you were one time.
- 24:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:53Speaker 1: We're on the phone for at least an hour and
- 24:54Speaker 1: a half and we're like finishing up seven stories that
- 24:56Speaker 1: started in the first five minutes.
- 24:58Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly.
- 24:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:00Speaker 3: That's how it goes. It's like, it's like a quick summary,
- 25:03Speaker 3: a summary of things. And then we get into the
- 25:05Speaker 3: detail and it takes us into other directions. And then,
- 25:08Speaker 3: you know, we sum it up. It's fine.
- 25:09Speaker 2: We know. Yeah. And it's so cool.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Cause when we do have conversations too, we're like, Oh,
- 25:14Speaker 1: you know what? That reminds me of fucking. And then
- 25:17Speaker 1: I was over in this town and before you know it,
- 25:20Speaker 1: it's like, and then we're, Yeah, we definitely take little
- 25:23Speaker 1: road trips, little side trips and things. Oh, Nikki, Jenny
- 25:27Speaker 1: is also the one that helped me come up with
- 25:29Speaker 1: the idea for the shirt that I.
- 25:30Speaker 2: Sell on the road.
- 25:32Speaker 3: I'm not kidding.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Yeah, she corrected my diction, I guess you could say.
- 25:38Speaker 1: She does that.
- 25:41Speaker 3: I mean, we did just say I corrected all of
- 25:43Speaker 3: your spelling typos and on your quiz questions too, so
- 25:49Speaker 3: that makes sense.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Because when I first came up with the shirt, the
- 25:52Speaker 1: shirt says, relax, you can't die from being offended. But
- 25:54Speaker 1: when I first came up with it, I was like, relax,
- 25:57Speaker 1: being offended isn't terminal. And then she was like, that's funny,
- 26:01Speaker 1: but it just needs to be worded different. And so
- 26:03Speaker 1: we were just sitting there in the car driving to,
- 26:05Speaker 1: was it the NoHo Fest?
- 26:07Speaker 3: I think so. And it was, yeah, you won't die
- 26:09Speaker 3: from being offended, unfortunately.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. Unfortunately.
- 26:13Speaker 1: And then I couldn't land on, I was like, should we,
- 26:16Speaker 1: you won't die from being there or you can't die
- 26:18Speaker 1: for me.
- 26:18Speaker 2: And we were going back and forth. You're like, uh,
- 26:20Speaker 2: I think you should go with can't. Um, and I
- 26:22Speaker 2: was like, okay. And then, but yeah, no, it was good.
- 26:24Speaker 2: It was funny.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Cause like I, I, I had that idea. I was gonna,
- 26:28Speaker 1: I made, I was like, okay, gonna make shirts. And
- 26:31Speaker 1: I sat on it for like two years. I want
- 26:32Speaker 1: to say until one day Jenny was like, that shirt
- 26:35Speaker 1: is so awesome. I like it so much that if
- 26:37Speaker 1: you don't do it, I'm going to start making it
- 26:40Speaker 1: and selling it at the club.
- 26:41Speaker 2: I was like, okay, I'll make it.
- 26:43Speaker 3: Get it together. And not only that, I want one
- 26:45Speaker 3: in every color. Yeah.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Do you have a hoodie?
- 26:48Speaker 3: I have a hoodie. Yeah, do you have a hoodie?
- 26:51Speaker 3: Because his printing person knows and likes me. And so
- 26:55Speaker 3: I have them in like three different colors. I have
- 26:57Speaker 3: a red one. I have a blue one. And I
- 26:58Speaker 3: have a hoodie.
- 27:01Speaker 2: Yeah. I have a new style.
- 27:03Speaker 1: I got to get it to you next time when
- 27:04Speaker 1: I'm over there, which is next week.
- 27:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll be over there next week.
- 27:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 27:08Speaker 2: All right. So number two, question number two.
- 27:11Speaker 1: See, we took 17 minutes to answer one question to
- 27:14Speaker 1: two questions.
- 27:15Speaker 2: Number two.
- 27:15Speaker 3: Sounds right.
- 27:18Speaker 2: It says, name one of the three defenses in the
- 27:21Speaker 2: immune system.
- 27:23Speaker 3: What?
- 27:24Speaker 2: Name one of the three defenses.
- 27:26Speaker 3: In the immune system?
- 27:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:30Speaker 3: Like what? Like white blood cells?
- 27:33Speaker 2: Boom, there you go. That's a good one.
- 27:34Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah. Awesome. It only said I had to name one.
- 27:39Speaker 2: Yeah, so they only had to name one. That's why
- 27:40Speaker 2: I was like, yeah.
- 27:41Speaker 1: So skin is one, white blood cells, and then antibodies
- 27:45Speaker 1: is the third.
- 27:46Speaker 3: Okay, all right.
- 27:47Speaker 2: Yeah. Okay, so.
- 27:49Speaker 3: Yes. All I needed was one point. I feel validated.
- 27:52Speaker 3: You're on the board, Jenny.
- 27:54Speaker 2: You're on the board.
- 27:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 27:56Speaker 1: All right, so number three, question three. It's a geography question.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Where is Machu Picchu located?
- 28:02Speaker 3: Peru. Peru.
- 28:06Speaker 2: Oh, got it. Nice. Fucking noise.
- 28:12Speaker 3: Man, I'm feeling good now.
- 28:14Speaker 1: This one is, I don't know, this one's kind of
- 28:16Speaker 1: a tough one. But for some. Who plays the piano
- 28:22Speaker 1: in The Muppets?
- 28:27Speaker 3: Animal.
- 28:28Speaker 2: No, Animal plays the drums.
- 28:29Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 28:32Speaker 2: It's the dog, Ralph.
- 28:34Speaker 3: Ralph.
- 28:37Speaker 1: The dog he's awesome that dog is awesome um yeah uh.
- 28:42Speaker 2: What degree okay oh yeah what degree does water freeze.
- 28:45Speaker 1: At oh 32 boom look at you that's good that's
- 28:50Speaker 1: good uh that's how cold it is in my house
- 28:53Speaker 1: because my wife doesn't let me touch the thermostat same
- 28:55Speaker 1: um dude it's so cold in my house it's pissing
- 28:59Speaker 1: me off that's like that's.
- 29:00Speaker 3: Why we have jackets and blankets just.
- 29:02Speaker 1: Cuddle up you'll be all right I know, but it's
- 29:05Speaker 1: so cold that my.
- 29:06Speaker 2: Socks are cold.
- 29:06Speaker 3: He says, it's so cold in my house. You live
- 29:08Speaker 3: in Vegas. It's cold. You know that they just had
- 29:11Speaker 3: freezing sleet and rain in Texas or something?
- 29:15Speaker 1: I was in New Mexico this weekend, and that was
- 29:16Speaker 1: the first time I've ever.
- 29:20Speaker 2: I've driven in snow, but fuck, bro.
- 29:22Speaker 1: When it's fresh snow, it's scary as fuck.
- 29:25Speaker 2: I'm on the freeway. I don't see any lines. How
- 29:27Speaker 2: do people live like this?
- 29:29Speaker 3: Yes. Hopes and prayers. That's how you live on hopes
- 29:31Speaker 3: and prayers. You follow the car in front of you.
- 29:33Speaker 2: Yeah. But there was no car in front of me.
- 29:35Speaker 2: So I was like, where the fuck am I going?
- 29:37Speaker 1: And I had to like rely on the google maps
- 29:40Speaker 1: to show me that i was in the lane.
- 29:44Speaker 3: I don't think that's what it was made for it.
- 29:49Speaker 1: Was ridiculous and then i um i was like uh
- 29:53Speaker 1: i was gonna get off on my exit and so
- 29:54Speaker 1: i had to turn and i didn't know that you
- 29:56Speaker 1: can't you when you turn you can't like it's even
- 29:59Speaker 1: more gradual yeah because i started sliding and i was
- 30:03Speaker 1: like oh shit like fucking driver's ed kicked in and
- 30:06Speaker 1: i let go of the wheel and i let go
- 30:07Speaker 1: of the brake.
- 30:09Speaker 3: No i don't think they taught you to let go
- 30:11Speaker 3: of the wheel in terms of that's right not the
- 30:13Speaker 3: wheel the brake jesus jesus took the wheel right he
- 30:17Speaker 3: said jesus take the wheel i can't do.
- 30:19Speaker 1: This hilarious uh All right, so we're halfway there.
- 30:24Speaker 2: So number six, this is a movie.
- 30:26Speaker 3: But I'm already winning. I think we should stop at five. Okay,
- 30:30Speaker 3: all right, I'm ready.
- 30:33Speaker 1: You're like, I'll retire right now after a win. Okay,
- 30:37Speaker 1: so this is a movie question because I know you're
- 30:39Speaker 1: a big movie person.
- 30:40Speaker 2: Not like you. What is Edward Norton's character's name in
- 30:43Speaker 2: Fight Club?
- 30:55Speaker 3: It's himself. I don't know. Does he have a name?
- 30:58Speaker 2: It's close. And that's great. Okay. So you have, okay.
- 31:01Speaker 1: He doesn't have a name and they, and they title
- 31:03Speaker 1: him as narrator because he doesn't have a name. Boom.
- 31:06Speaker 3: I was like, it's yeah. Cause they don't. Yeah.
- 31:09Speaker 4: Okay.
- 31:10Speaker 2: Everyone always says Tyler Durden, but that's Brad Pitt. That's
- 31:13Speaker 2: his alter.
- 31:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 31:14Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. Oh, you're definitely going to get this one.
- 31:18Speaker 3: Oh yes. Is it a math question? I like the
- 31:20Speaker 3: math questions. No, we don't have those.
- 31:23Speaker 1: It's a geography question. I couldn't do math questions because
- 31:25Speaker 1: I didn't know the answers, even if.
- 31:26Speaker 3: I looked it up. That's how bad I am at math. Okay,
- 31:31Speaker 3: I'm ready.
- 31:32Speaker 1: What is the capital of California?
- 31:35Speaker 3: Sacramento.
- 31:36Speaker 4: Hey, Sacramento.
- 31:38Speaker 3: Suck down. There you go.
- 31:43Speaker 2: Okay, we're on to question eight.
- 31:45Speaker 3: Sacramento, where you can see Laugh's Unlimited, right by the capital,
- 31:49Speaker 3: just down the street.
- 31:50Speaker 1: Okay.
- 31:52Speaker 2: Yeah, right down an old sack.
- 31:55Speaker 1: And you'll recognize it because my face is plastered on
- 31:58Speaker 1: one of those.
- 32:00Speaker 3: It is.
- 32:01Speaker 1: That's another reason, too. Like, Jenny really pushes me to always, like,
- 32:04Speaker 1: to do comedy things.
- 32:08Speaker 3: Yeah, because.
- 32:09Speaker 2: I don't like taking pictures.
- 32:11Speaker 3: Now that you're talking about this, I do think that
- 32:14Speaker 3: I should start getting a cut of all of your proceeds.
- 32:18Speaker 2: I know, right?
- 32:19Speaker 1: Because I don't like doing pictures. I only do pictures
- 32:23Speaker 1: for people at the end of the shows, but I
- 32:24Speaker 1: hate taking pictures. And I hate taking headshots. And she's like,
- 32:28Speaker 1: you need headshots. You need some new headshots. I was like, yeah,
- 32:31Speaker 1: I'm just good with this one.
- 32:32Speaker 2: That's okay. I'm not doing anything.
- 32:34Speaker 3: It was like, hint, hint, you need a headshot.
- 32:37Speaker 2: Yeah. And I was like, nah.
- 32:39Speaker 1: And then she goes, listen, asshole, the reason why I
- 32:44Speaker 1: want you to get a headshot so bad or a
- 32:46Speaker 1: new headshot is because I'm going to put you as
- 32:49Speaker 1: one of the giant, uh, windows at laughs unlimited.
- 32:53Speaker 2: And I was like, shut the fuck up. I go, okay,
- 32:55Speaker 2: I'll go get headshots.
- 32:56Speaker 3: And then she's like, well, it's not even two foot.
- 32:59Speaker 3: It's even bigger than that. I don't know. Five foot
- 33:00Speaker 3: by four foot window. I need to blow a picture up.
- 33:03Speaker 3: So I need a high resolution headshot. Go get them done.
- 33:06Speaker 2: Yeah. High resolution.
- 33:08Speaker 1: And then she was like, and then I was like, okay,
- 33:09Speaker 1: I will. But she goes, don't even worry. I know
- 33:11Speaker 1: you wouldn't.
- 33:12Speaker 2: So I got Chris Smith coming in about an hour.
- 33:15Speaker 2: And I was like, okay.
- 33:16Speaker 3: So get your ass down here.
- 33:18Speaker 2: Yeah. So come down here.
- 33:19Speaker 1: So I went down there and I took photos right
- 33:21Speaker 1: around the corner.
- 33:23Speaker 2: But yeah, yeah. So, and it's funny. It's nice. It's dope.
- 33:25Speaker 2: Cause I'm like right next to Jerry Seinfeld. It's dope.
- 33:29Speaker 1: But yeah, thank you for that. If I never, if
- 33:31Speaker 1: I never said it before, I'm saying it now.
- 33:34Speaker 3: That's legit.
- 33:35Speaker 2: So here we go. All right. So that's number seven.
- 33:38Speaker 2: Question number eight. What was Outkast's first album's name?
- 33:51Speaker 3: All I can think is Andre 3000, but that's the
- 33:53Speaker 3: dude's name. I don't know. Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. It's a weird word,
- 34:00Speaker 3: isn't it?
- 34:01Speaker 1: Yeah damn you're really close yeah no it's not super
- 34:04Speaker 1: catch-up but it's got it's got like i'd like that
- 34:06Speaker 1: everything's together.
- 34:07Speaker 3: In it yeah yeah yeah it's it's like something long
- 34:09Speaker 3: and boom bostic or i don't know go ahead.
- 34:11Speaker 2: Jenny look at jenny with the hip.
- 34:13Speaker 4: Yeah you don't mess with suge white she out here
- 34:18Speaker 4: produced it she's like i should know what i produced
- 34:21Speaker 4: um it's southern playlist to cadillac music.
- 34:24Speaker 3: Oh see i knew it was yeah i knew it
- 34:26Speaker 3: was like it's because it's all one word.
- 34:28Speaker 1: Right Yeah, it's all one word. Yeah, I'll give that
- 34:31Speaker 1: to you because you did. Yeah, yeah, you can have that.
- 34:33Speaker 1: That's a good one. You were like, I know it's
- 34:35Speaker 1: it's all together. And that's that's a pool.
- 34:38Speaker 3: It's almost like supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
- 34:41Speaker 1: Oh, this is another we just got in talking about this.
- 34:43Speaker 1: So and question nine is how many championships does Michael
- 34:48Speaker 1: Jordan have? If you remember from Oh, I think it's six.
- 34:52Speaker 2: Boom.
- 34:52Speaker 3: Look at it. I just watched that. Yes.
- 34:55Speaker 2: I'm going to.
- 34:56Speaker 3: Have to thank my niece because she was the one
- 34:59Speaker 3: that put me on that. She was like, you got
- 35:00Speaker 3: to watch it. I totally did.
- 35:02Speaker 2: It's pretty good.
- 35:03Speaker 1: And I wasn't a big Jordan fan or Bulls fan
- 35:04Speaker 1: either until.
- 35:06Speaker 3: No, I mean, I'm not a basketball fan at all,
- 35:08Speaker 3: but it's weird because I do like sports documentaries. Like
- 35:11Speaker 3: I watched Malice at the Palace. Did you watch that one?
- 35:13Speaker 2: Yes.
- 35:14Speaker 3: Yeah. That was so good. And the one where the
- 35:17Speaker 3: Minnetoteo got catfished.
- 35:20Speaker 2: Yeah. Oh yeah. That's crazy.
- 35:24Speaker 3: That whole series. Cause there's one about the America's cup too.
- 35:27Speaker 3: I don't watch sailing, but it was, that one was
- 35:29Speaker 3: pretty interesting too.
- 35:30Speaker 2: What is it? It's on Netflix, right? It's a sport.
- 35:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:32Speaker 3: It's a series that I can't. Oh, it's untold.
- 35:35Speaker 2: Untold. Yeah.
- 35:36Speaker 3: The untold series. Yeah.
- 35:37Speaker 2: They had the, uh, the boxer chick. They had that
- 35:40Speaker 2: one was good.
- 35:41Speaker 3: Her husband was the manager or whatever. Yeah.
- 35:44Speaker 2: There was, what was the other one too? There was
- 35:46Speaker 2: one about like the.
- 35:47Speaker 3: There's a Caitlyn Jenner one.
- 35:49Speaker 2: Oh yeah.
- 35:50Speaker 3: Um manatee teo uh malice at the palace the america's
- 35:54Speaker 3: cup uh i can't remember oh uh hope uh the
- 36:00Speaker 3: soccer player oh yeah yep hope solo talking about how
- 36:07Speaker 3: she was trying to get more money for women's um
- 36:11Speaker 3: sponsorships and stuff and like she kind of got She
- 36:16Speaker 3: made it happen, but also got screwed at the same
- 36:19Speaker 3: time because they were like, she's difficult to work with.
- 36:22Speaker 3: But it's another interesting one.
- 36:27Speaker 1: I wonder if it was this series where there was
- 36:32Speaker 1: some New Jersey guys, the mobster bought his son a
- 36:36Speaker 1: hockey team.
- 36:36Speaker 3: Uh-huh. Yes. Yes.
- 36:38Speaker 2: They're called the Trashers or some shit like that.
- 36:40Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 36:41Speaker 2: It was great.
- 36:42Speaker 3: And there was one about And One, too. Oh, yeah.
- 36:46Speaker 2: Yeah. Roberto is from Sacramento. He was on there, too.
- 36:49Speaker 1: Him and the professor used to get along hella well
- 36:52Speaker 1: and play and ball out.
- 36:53Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. I remember that. That one was dope.
- 36:55Speaker 3: Yeah. I watched all those. Yeah.
- 36:58Speaker 2: They're great.
- 36:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 37:00Speaker 2: Now I know what to get you.
- 37:01Speaker 1: I'll get you a 30 for 30 and then I'll
- 37:03Speaker 1: get you that.
- 37:04Speaker 3: Because.
- 37:06Speaker 1: We were talking, like, me and my wife were going
- 37:08Speaker 1: back over it. I'm about, like, I go, yeah, I go,
- 37:11Speaker 1: you know, Jenny doesn't, I don't know what to give
- 37:14Speaker 1: Jenny ever, like a gift or anything like that. Because,
- 37:16Speaker 1: you know, she's like me. It's like, if we need something,
- 37:18Speaker 1: we'll get it right then and there. We don't need
- 37:19Speaker 1: to wait or anything or yada, yada, yads. And she
- 37:22Speaker 1: was like, I go, yeah, Jenny just, her thing, though,
- 37:24Speaker 1: is like.
- 37:24Speaker 2: Hey, just hang out. Just be cool and just hang out.
- 37:27Speaker 2: And that's all. And I was like, okay.
- 37:28Speaker 3: That's because my love language is quality time.
- 37:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 37:33Speaker 3: Yeah. Yips is very low on my love language.
- 37:36Speaker 2: Yeah, but now I know that I can get you
- 37:38Speaker 2: a sports documentary. Okay, I'll watch that.
- 37:41Speaker 3: Yeah, because then we'll chop it up and talk about
- 37:43Speaker 3: it later.
- 37:44Speaker 2: Yeah. Okay, so here's the final Jeopardy question. Okay. You
- 37:48Speaker 2: can wager points if you want. Oh, shoot. Or you
- 37:51Speaker 2: don't have to, but you have seven. And, okay, so
- 37:57Speaker 2: do what.
- 37:57Speaker 3: You like to wager. I'm not going to wager any points.
- 38:01Speaker 3: I'm going to keep no points. I'll wager one point.
- 38:03Speaker 2: Spoken like a true accountant.
- 38:05Speaker 3: Yeah, because I'm already winning. I don't want to lose
- 38:07Speaker 3: just because off of this.
- 38:09Speaker 2: Yeah, off of this one.
- 38:11Speaker 1: Okay, so in Back to the Future, what year did
- 38:15Speaker 1: Marty McFly go to?
- 38:18Speaker 3: When he went backwards?
- 38:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 38:22Speaker 3: Oh, it was like 19.
- 38:26Speaker 2: You're getting really good at.
- 38:27Speaker 3: 56? Close.
- 38:28Speaker 2: Yeah. 55. It was 55. Yeah. Boom. But you got seven.
- 38:37Speaker 3: My mom was born in 1956. That's why I guessed
- 38:41Speaker 3: that too.
- 38:42Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 38:43Speaker 3: I was going to say either 55 or 56, but
- 38:45Speaker 3: I was like, I should have gone with 55 because
- 38:47Speaker 3: I knew it wasn't the year of her birth.
- 38:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 38:51Speaker 1: Because he was in 1985 and he jumps back 30
- 38:53Speaker 1: years to 55.
- 38:53Speaker 2: 30 years.
- 38:53Speaker 3: Okay, okay.
- 38:55Speaker 1: And it fucking, people and kids are online talking about, hey,
- 38:58Speaker 1: if Back to the Future happened now, If we're in 2026,
- 39:02Speaker 1: it would be 1996.
- 39:03Speaker 3: Hey, that would be a cool-ass time to go back to, though.
- 39:07Speaker 2: Dude, it would. I mean, hip-hop would be at its finest. Right.
- 39:11Speaker 1: Style wasn't that bad. Everyone's wearing the style now that
- 39:13Speaker 1: people were doing in 1996.
- 39:14Speaker 3: Yeah, same thing.
- 39:16Speaker 2: Yeah, pretty much all of a sudden everything's the same,
- 39:18Speaker 2: but there's no.
- 39:20Speaker 3: Personally, though, I wasn't having a good time in 1996.
- 39:23Speaker 3: I was a junior in high school. I just moved
- 39:25Speaker 3: between my sophomore and junior year, came back to California.
- 39:30Speaker 3: from Alaska. I was not happy. That was not a
- 39:34Speaker 3: good time for me. Let's not go back to 96. Yeah,
- 39:37Speaker 3: me too.
- 39:38Speaker 2: Pac died, and I just couldn't get over Pac dying.
- 39:40Speaker 1: I was like, man, this is about to be.
- 39:43Speaker 3: That was rough.
- 39:44Speaker 2: I was a freshman in high school. Yeah, yeah.
- 39:47Speaker 3: I was in detention, so. When Tupac died? She's treating
- 39:56Speaker 3: it like 9-11 or when Kennedy got shot. She's like,
- 39:58Speaker 3: I know exactly where I was when Tupac died.
- 40:01Speaker 1: I had to pour something out for him, but it
- 40:03Speaker 1: was Gatorade.
- 40:05Speaker 3: What else was in the Gatorade though, Nikki?
- 40:09Speaker 2: I know.
- 40:10Speaker 1: Kicking it.
- 40:13Speaker 2: You were on Chicago, right? Illinois? Yeah, I was in
- 40:16Speaker 2: Chicagoland at the time.
- 40:18Speaker 1: Ooh shit out there talk about snow and winter shit
- 40:21Speaker 1: I used to have this joke about Chicago because I
- 40:26Speaker 1: would go do stand up there and I was like
- 40:27Speaker 1: yeah there's a lot of things you can do in
- 40:29Speaker 1: California you can't do in Chicago and I was like
- 40:31Speaker 1: like in California you can get drunk and fall asleep
- 40:33Speaker 1: on your porch like you can't do that like in
- 40:36Speaker 1: January you can't do that I was like you fucking
- 40:40Speaker 1: end up dead they don't find your ass until the
- 40:41Speaker 1: spring they're like as soon as it thaws out they're
