- 0:00Speaker 1: Now nine till noon weekdays the mark simone show on
- 0:05Speaker 1: 710 wor guest hosting for mark today here's ken rosato.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Had a very good thursday morning i'm so used to
- 0:14Speaker 2: saying friday morning because i usually fill in for mark
- 0:16Speaker 2: at a friday but uh he's taking an extra long
- 0:18Speaker 2: weekend and well deserved for labor day so hope you're
- 0:21Speaker 2: enjoying yourself mark ken rosato and thursday morning we go
- 0:24Speaker 2: to george on the phones george good morning to you
- 0:26Speaker 2: from long island.
- 0:27Speaker 3: Yeah hi hi how are you um Never underestimate the mayor.
- 0:32Speaker 3: He's very slick, and he's smart. When he talked about
- 0:35Speaker 3: Netanyahu arresting him, he knew from day one. I know
- 0:38Speaker 3: I'm not a lawyer, but I was a court clerk.
- 0:40Speaker 3: I know a little about it. He knew from day
- 0:43Speaker 3: one that could not happen. There's a corporation council, a
- 0:46Speaker 3: lot of smart lawyers, and told him that. But he
- 0:49Speaker 3: does that to gin up his base, and then he
- 0:51Speaker 3: pushed back on it when he said, no, I can't.
- 0:53Speaker 3: And he did the same thing about getting people to
- 0:57Speaker 3: go out and demonstrate, you know, telling his followers to
- 1:00Speaker 3: go out and demonstrate when he comes here, the Prime
- 1:03Speaker 3: Minister of Israel. But there's a thing called a law,
- 1:08Speaker 3: reckless endangerment. It's like yelling fire in a movie. If
- 1:12Speaker 3: you take an action when you know really should have known,
- 1:15Speaker 3: you can cause harm to people. Like if somebody, people
- 1:17Speaker 3: got hurt, if there was a riot or something, he'd
- 1:20Speaker 3: be held responsible. Now he's cut back on that. So
- 1:23Speaker 3: he's a pretty slick guy.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Now that he is with that fake smile and the
- 1:27Speaker 2: fake accent, you notice you go online, you'll hear Mamdani
- 1:31Speaker 2: speaking to various groups of people in their own accent.
- 1:35Speaker 2: And you have to wonder, it's almost like the Manchurian candidate.
- 1:39Speaker 2: You have to wonder if he was being prepped for
- 1:41Speaker 2: this for years. It kind of creeps me out. He
- 1:43Speaker 2: speaks to a group of Latinos and he has a perfect,
- 1:46Speaker 2: he could speak some words in Spanish very well, I
- 1:48Speaker 2: might say, because I have a master's in Spanish. I
- 1:50Speaker 2: speak it And then he'll speak to a group of
- 1:53Speaker 2: people who are from, say, India, and he has an
- 1:56Speaker 2: Indian accent. He puts on different accents. He's like a chameleon.
- 1:59Speaker 2: He blends in and wants to be whomever to whomever.
- 2:02Speaker 2: And you have to wonder what the ulterior motive is.
- 2:05Speaker 2: He's trying to make you comfortable enough with him that
- 2:09Speaker 2: you see through the communism that is in his heart,
- 2:12Speaker 2: and you see this nice, warm guy with a big
- 2:14Speaker 2: smile who's just like me, and he's a nice guy.
- 2:17Speaker 2: So you've got to be careful of people like that, George.
- 2:19Speaker 2: I appreciate it. We go to Ralph in Manhattan. Good morning, Ralph.
- 2:23Speaker 4: I'll tell you again, Mamdani is a good, he's a
- 2:25Speaker 4: pretty darn good actor. He's an amateur, but yet he's
- 2:28Speaker 4: a pretty darn good actor. He can convince a lot
- 2:31Speaker 4: of people. You know, Kathy Hochul was never, she was
- 2:35Speaker 4: always middle of the road. She was never this far left.
- 2:38Speaker 4: But she's fitting in with the party. And she's doing
- 2:43Speaker 4: things that are against the grain when it comes to her.
- 2:46Speaker 4: If you know anything about her career beforehand, when she
- 2:48Speaker 4: was a second fiddle player, To our friend Cuomo. She
- 2:53Speaker 4: was nothing. Ken, she was nothing like she is now.
- 2:57Speaker 4: But of course, to win in 2026 and to go forward,
- 3:01Speaker 4: and I think she will win, unfortunately. I hate to
- 3:04Speaker 4: be a naysayer, but I think she will win. To win,
- 3:06Speaker 4: you have to take up that mantle, the left-wing mantle,
- 3:10Speaker 4: and you have no choice. I mean, that's the way
- 3:11Speaker 4: the direction is going right now.
- 3:13Speaker 2: And you know, the thing is, years ago, Ralph, you
- 3:16Speaker 2: got north of, say, even into Westchester County. And then
- 3:20Speaker 2: you'd have more purple votes in Westchester. And you got
- 3:24Speaker 2: into Rockland County and above. And then you started getting
- 3:28Speaker 2: into a red part. Once you got out of, say,
- 3:31Speaker 2: Albany and Syracuse and, say, Buffalo, those areas always tended
- 3:36Speaker 2: to be Democrat. But the vast majority of New York
- 3:39Speaker 2: State tended to be hardcore Republicans. The problem is the
- 3:43Speaker 2: Republicans throughout much of the state are sort of wishy-washy, middle-of-the-road,
- 3:47Speaker 2: not hardcore, not convicted, older, don't get out and vote.
- 3:51Speaker 2: They're there, but they just are never motivated to vote.
- 3:56Speaker 2: And as a result, the Democrats just keep getting elected.
- 4:00Speaker 2: And here's what you get. Because they stay out of politics,
- 4:02Speaker 2: they don't want to be confrontational, you ask them questions. Hey,
- 4:05Speaker 2: he's a good guy. She's not so bad.
- 4:07Speaker 4: Really? Really?
- 4:08Speaker 2: Because they're not paying attention, so in their minds, everything
- 4:11Speaker 2: is just fine, just Jim Dandy, and this is the problem.
- 4:15Speaker 4: Yeah, and you're so right. The ICE agent, that's a
- 4:18Speaker 4: dirty business. I don't mean it in a derogatory way.
- 4:21Speaker 4: You're going to step on toes. You're going to intrude
- 4:25Speaker 4: on people. But I'll tell you something. We have to
- 4:28Speaker 4: be so stringent about it. If somebody is here illegally,
- 4:32Speaker 4: he or she should go back to where they came from.
- 4:36Speaker 4: And it sounds very harsh. But if you don't do
- 4:39Speaker 4: it that way, if you just say that guy's OK,
- 4:42Speaker 4: we'll let him be. But that guy we're going to
- 4:44Speaker 4: go after, that's not going to work. We have to
- 4:47Speaker 4: be across the board, very stringent on the matter. I
- 4:50Speaker 4: believe that.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Ralph, it's because of the last administration letting everybody in.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Now we don't know who's good and who's bad, so
- 4:57Speaker 2: you have to assume everybody's bad. That's the thing. But Ken,
- 5:01Speaker 2: you can't do that. Well, how else do you find
- 5:03Speaker 2: the bad people? This is the problem. Had they vetted
- 5:06Speaker 2: people properly, had they made them go through the proper
- 5:08Speaker 2: channels and come in like we're supposed to, we wouldn't
- 5:11Speaker 2: have this issue. But it's because the Biden administration quite
- 5:14Speaker 2: intentionally flooded the zone. This is the problem we have today.
- 5:19Speaker 2: And this is the problem. So don't get mad at
- 5:21Speaker 2: President Trump. Get mad at President Biden. Had this not happened,
- 5:25Speaker 2: had the floodgates not been open, we would have been
- 5:27Speaker 2: able to vet people properly, let them get through the process.
- 5:30Speaker 2: I was on Instagram before we came on the air,
- 5:33Speaker 2: and I was talking about the fact that We let
- 5:35Speaker 2: two to three million people into this country legally every year.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Do you know how many people the entire world lets
- 5:41Speaker 2: into their various borders every year? If you were to
- 5:45Speaker 2: add together every country's admission numbers on the planet outside
- 5:51Speaker 2: of the United States, we still let more people in
- 5:54Speaker 2: last year legally than they did. Think about that. Hundreds
- 5:58Speaker 2: of countries added together.
- 5:59Speaker 4: Right.
- 6:00Speaker 2: You know, if I hear people say our immigration system
- 6:03Speaker 2: is broken, one more time I'm going to scream. It's
- 6:05Speaker 2: not broken. You just don't want to adhere. You don't
- 6:08Speaker 2: like the laws the way they're written. It doesn't mean
- 6:09Speaker 2: it's broken. It means that you're a moron. I'm sorry,
- 6:12Speaker 2: but there it is.
- 6:13Speaker 4: You cannot have a sovereign nation. Unless no nation could
- 6:19Speaker 4: ever allow anyone and everyone in willy nilly and call
- 6:22Speaker 4: themselves a sovereign nation. So I think I think the
- 6:26Speaker 4: cat's out of the bag, meaning that the door of
- 6:29Speaker 4: this was a jar too long. I don't think we
- 6:31Speaker 4: could go back, but maybe we can rectify some of
- 6:34Speaker 4: this at least. And I hope so anyway.
- 6:37Speaker 2: I hope so too. We got 3 million people who've
- 6:39Speaker 2: either self-deported or been deported so far.
- 6:41Speaker 4: Yes.
- 6:42Speaker 2: Sadly, a lot of good people were also deported and
- 6:44Speaker 2: hopefully they apply to come back. I would love to
- 6:46Speaker 2: see them come back legally and be my fellow American citizen.
- 6:49Speaker 2: I would be there at their swearing in ceremony and
- 6:51Speaker 2: hug them. I'm not against immigration. I'm sure you're not
- 6:54Speaker 2: against immigration. I'm against breaking into my house illegally. I
- 6:58Speaker 2: have a problem with that. Ralph, you're a great caller.
- 7:00Speaker 2: I appreciate you, man. Joe in Staten Island. Good morning.
- 7:06Speaker 5: Um, Good morning. I want you to talk about the
- 7:10Speaker 5: Clancy case. I'm just curious. She said she heard voices
- 7:16Speaker 5: telling her what to do. After she did what she did,
- 7:22Speaker 5: she no longer heard the voices. She no longer, she didn't.
- 7:29Speaker 5: That was it. It cured her. After she murdered her children.
- 7:34Speaker 5: And let me tell you something, Ken. I have four kids.
- 7:38Speaker 5: So I didn't ever think of killing any of my children.
- 7:44Speaker 5: And maybe you go through a depression. You feel tied down.
- 7:51Speaker 5: You feel tired. But murder doesn't enter into your mind
- 7:57Speaker 5: at all. I don't understand at all people feeling a
- 8:03Speaker 5: sympathy for her and not the three sweet children that
- 8:10Speaker 5: she had.
- 8:11Speaker 2: I don't disagree with you. But again, I don't have
- 8:14Speaker 2: kids and I'm not a woman. So I've never been
- 8:17Speaker 2: through the feeling of postpartum depression. And this is not.
- 8:21Speaker 2: depression this is i forget what is the condition called
- 8:24Speaker 2: it's postpartum psychosis thank you so much.
- 8:27Speaker 5: I appreciate it right now she's.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Good yeah that is look this is this is something
- 8:34Speaker 2: that uh i just killing people whether they're your own
- 8:38Speaker 2: kids or not is never justifiable unless your life is
- 8:41Speaker 2: in danger sorry and i understand people can be psychotic
- 8:45Speaker 2: they can be mentally unstable But I'm sure there are
- 8:49Speaker 2: a lot of women through history who had postpartum depression
- 8:53Speaker 2: or psychosis who didn't kill anyone.
- 8:56Speaker 5: I think it's the trick of the lawyer. He's a
- 9:01Speaker 5: very sharp lawyer. And they're using this as the tool.
- 9:08Speaker 2: You're not wrong.
- 9:10Speaker 5: And the only time she sobs... It's when they show
- 9:14Speaker 5: her her children and what she did. I just don't
- 9:19Speaker 5: buy it. I just don't buy it.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Do you like the way, if I may just step in,
- 9:26Speaker 2: only because we're running out of time here, we have
- 9:27Speaker 2: commercials coming up, but do you notice that the lawyer
- 9:30Speaker 2: made the comment that she's like the greatest mother ever
- 9:32Speaker 2: and she loved her kids? Okay, the greatest mother ever,
- 9:36Speaker 2: I think that's pushing it a little too far. You know,
- 9:38Speaker 2: maybe she was a good mother when the kids were alive,
- 9:40Speaker 2: but she did admit that she killed them. So that's
- 9:42Speaker 2: something we can't forget. I appreciate the phone call. You're
- 9:45Speaker 2: very kind to do so. And we invite more calls.
- 9:47Speaker 2: We're going to come back right after this break with
- 9:49Speaker 2: more calls at 800-321-0710.
- 9:52Speaker 3: 800-321-0710.
- 9:52Speaker 2: It is Ken Rosado for the great Mark Simone at 710WOR.
