- Cory Barnes: Well hello, happy June thirtieth. We are in Titus chapter two today. And I want to share with you a few scriptures from the second half of Titus chapter two. It's only fifteen verses, but I'm gonna share with you from verses ⁓ eleven through fifteen, starting with verse eleven that says, For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared. So it's really important that we start with that. We're leaning on and talking about from the foundation today of the grace of God. and that grace that brings salvation, it's appeared to all men. It's been made available to all men. Now, whether or not ⁓ every man takes up on that and accepts that salvation, well, that's gonna be that's where free will comes in. That's up to every individual. and we of course know not every person chooses that, but it has appeared to all men. I do want to make a distinction because what I just read was out of the New King James. The ESV says, For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people. and when I read it in the ESV, I thought, mm-mm, wonder if that's where some people get a little confused. I normally really love the ESV translation, but ⁓ I know there are some who teach a doctrine ⁓ that is a false teaching, that there is going to be that all men are saved, that God has that Jesus has come and all men are saved. And we just know that is not the case. And so I wondered if perhaps this is a scripture that they pull from for that. I haven't ducked deep into that doctrine. ⁓ but So we have, I'm gonna then segue now into verse twelve, which says, so again we're starting by the grace of God.
