- 0:01Well, today's off to a roaring start.

- 0:27From the gym to the screen, yeah,
- 0:29we cover it all.
- 0:30Midday motivation every time you press
- 0:32call.
- 0:32Lunch with the Clydesdale.
- 0:35Cowboy bring the heat.
- 0:37Crossfit, boobies, music on repeat.
- 0:40Half hour hustle, yeah,
- 0:41we building that brand.
- 0:43Grab a plate, tune in now,
- 0:45you part of the fam.
- 0:53It's lunchtime.
- 0:57Nailed it.
- 0:58Finally got the yabba-doo.
- 1:00Nailed it.
- 1:01Now I got the timing down.
- 1:03You know what that is?
- 1:05It's very nice.
- 1:09It's very nice.
- 1:13We actually look like a show that's
- 1:15prepared.
- 1:16Almost.
- 1:17I don't believe it.
- 1:19It's not actually a thing,
- 1:22but we look like it,
- 1:23which is the important part of that.
- 1:25Yeah.
- 1:26It's,
- 1:26it's all about the perception and the
- 1:28appearance.
- 1:30Cause yeah, whatever.
- 1:34Hey dude, I had a,
- 1:34when I was waiting tables forever ago,
- 1:38I had a,
- 1:38my floor manager stopped me and said,
- 1:41slow down.
- 1:42Cause I was running around like a crazy
- 1:44person.
- 1:44I was in the weeds.
- 1:45Perception is reality.
- 1:47Slow down.
- 1:48You're going to be fine.
- 1:50And I was like, okay, cool.
- 1:52Just want to tell you guys,
- 1:53before we even started the show,
- 1:55it's been happening like this all week.
- 1:57We get into story time before show time.
- 1:59Before the show starts.
- 2:01And one day it was Vicky.
- 2:02One day it was me.
- 2:04Today,
- 2:04Corey started a story at twelve fifteen.
- 2:08At twelve fifteen.
- 2:09And if you have watched the show at
- 2:12all,
- 2:12Corey starting a story means we were going
- 2:16to hit the air till about twelve twenty
- 2:18five.
- 2:18at least at least at least that's gonna
- 2:21be a minimum because yeah and it's about
- 2:23a movie so like a whole synopsis if
- 2:26you haven't seen um hell or high water
- 2:30it's a taylor sheridan movie which should
- 2:33tell you a lot you need you know
- 2:35all you need to know right there um
- 2:38fantastic film chris pine um what is the
- 2:43other guy's name uh ben foster
- 2:48Or brothers.
- 2:51The Indian chief from Yellowstone.
- 2:56Yep.
- 2:58He's a cop.
- 2:59And what's his name?
- 3:03The dude.
- 3:03The dude.
- 3:05Bridges, yeah.
- 3:06Yeah, Bridges is it.
- 3:08Or cops.
- 3:08The other two are brothers.
- 3:10They're robbing banks.
- 3:11They're trying to catch them and whatnot.
- 3:12And what I was trying to tell you
- 3:14about is the two cops go into this
- 3:17restaurant in the middle of Texas
- 3:19somewhere, right?
- 3:20Central Texas.
- 3:21And this old lady comes up to him
- 3:23who's waiting tables.
- 3:24And she says, what don't you want?
- 3:29And they kind of look at her and
- 3:33she said,
- 3:33we ain't never served nothing here but
- 3:36T-bone steaks.
- 3:37She said,
- 3:37I've been working here for forty years.
- 3:39We ain't never served nothing but T-bone
- 3:41steaks and baked potatoes.
- 3:43So you either don't want the green beans
- 3:46or you don't want the corn.
- 3:48So what don't you want?
- 3:52it's it's what is the best one of
- 3:54the best things in all of cinema that's
- 3:55why i'm concerned just because like the
- 3:59way she delivers it and the way that
- 4:00they they react to it and whatnot and
- 4:03uh like before that she had said she
- 4:05said i'm gonna work in here nobody ever
- 4:08ordered nothing but t-bone steak and
- 4:10mashed potatoes except that one came down
- 4:12from new york tried to order trout
- 4:15We don't serve trout.
- 4:22And when she finishes writing their stuff
- 4:25down and walks off,
- 4:26Bridges looks at old boy and says, well,
- 4:29I ain't got to worry about this place
- 4:30getting robbed.
- 4:31It's fantastic.
- 4:37And just like our show,
- 4:39that has no connection to anything else we
- 4:40were talking about.
- 4:42Not at all.
- 4:43Not at all.
- 4:43I don't even remember why I was telling
- 4:44you that right before we started.
- 4:46I was trying to make the connection as
- 4:48you were finishing up and I have not
- 4:50made one.
- 4:50Don't even remember.
- 4:52Anyway, Hello Hot Water.
- 4:54If you have it on one of your
- 4:55streaming services that you use,
- 4:58highly recommend watching that tonight.
- 5:00You'll enjoy it.
- 5:01So last night I tuned in to the
- 5:04Glinton Things podcast.
- 5:06Yep.
- 5:07And Megan was not wearing black.
- 5:14And in fact,
- 5:17she was wearing a Clydesdale media shirt.
- 5:19Oh, how about that?
- 5:21In the brightest blue.
- 5:22And she wasn't dressed as death.
- 5:24It's kind of weird.
- 5:26Clydesdale media shirt actually made her
- 5:28look alive.
- 5:31Are we sure it was her?
- 5:35I was caught off guard.
- 5:37I was caught off guard.
- 5:39But really,
- 5:40really appreciate seeing the Clydesdale
- 5:43Meteor shirt in the wild.
- 5:46I wore mine to work out one day
- 5:48last week.
- 5:50I don't know what day it was.
- 5:51And she's back to black today.
- 5:54She is now dressed as death again.
- 5:57Every time I go,
- 5:58if I go to a comp without my
- 5:59wife,
- 6:01I have one standing rule that she sends
- 6:03me off with.
- 6:03It's to not buy any more black t-shirts.
- 6:09You know,
- 6:09I make fun of her for that,
- 6:10but my wardrobe is probably ninety percent
- 6:14black.
- 6:15If you open my t-shirt drawer in my
- 6:18dresser,
- 6:19you're going to find a lot of black
- 6:21shirts.
- 6:23Sometimes I can't even help it.
- 6:24Like you sign up for a comp,
- 6:25they give you a shirt.
- 6:27A lot of times is black.
- 6:30The craziest thing I got out of this
- 6:32whole thing is I text her this morning.
- 6:33I'm like,
- 6:34I almost shed a tear when I saw
- 6:36our shirt on you.
- 6:37And she said, and I even showered.
- 6:43So it not only made her look alive,
- 6:47it inspired her to shower.
- 6:49To just clean up a little bit.
- 6:51How about that?
- 6:53You're welcome, Joseph.
- 6:58That's fantastic.
- 7:03Yeah.
- 7:04So yesterday, let's get into this.
- 7:06We ended the show yesterday with the
- 7:08clickbait that was Matt Frazier will be
- 7:11competing again.
- 7:13And then it started to roll into if
- 7:17he did, in fact, compete,
- 7:18which none of us are saying he is
- 7:20going to do the games again.
- 7:22Right.
- 7:22None of us.
- 7:24Um, no.
- 7:25How would he fare if he in fact
- 7:29actually did come back?
- 7:32Yeah.
- 7:34And I,
- 7:35I am of the belief that he would
- 7:39not be the Matt Frazier that we came
- 7:41to know.
- 7:43I,
- 7:45I don't think he has it in him
- 7:47to get to that point again in training
- 7:52after having a couple of kids.
- 7:55living a softer life and enjoying life
- 7:58again,
- 7:59I don't think it's in the realm to
- 8:02get back to that dark place.
- 8:03You need to be,
- 8:04to be a Matt Frazier.
- 8:06And I don't think,
- 8:08I think he would have a hard time
- 8:09making it to the games.
- 8:11Let it,
- 8:12if he did the people saying top tenor
- 8:15out of their minds,
- 8:16the people saying top ten after seven
- 8:20years gone.
- 8:22or seven seasons, let's say, right?
- 8:24Cause it's been twenty, twenty,
- 8:25twenty or out of their minds.
- 8:27I'm sorry.
- 8:30It's hard enough for people who train
- 8:33regularly to make the games,
- 8:35to continue to make the games.
- 8:37And the dude was an absolute killer in
- 8:40his time.
- 8:42Like the most dominant athlete to do it,
- 8:45not named Tia Claire to me,
- 8:47by a stretch of the imagination.
- 8:48If he was in the men's field,
- 8:50he wasn't just winning.
- 8:52He was winning by hundreds of points over
- 8:55everybody else.
- 8:55I mean, for Christ's sake,
- 8:56when it was just five of them,
- 8:58he had enough points to win first,
- 9:00second and third.
- 9:03But it ain't going to happen.
- 9:05And then the other factor I think that
- 9:08people aren't putting into this,
- 9:09look at the evolution of the programming
- 9:13from just from twenty twenty to today.
- 9:15Yeah.
- 9:16How much more power output there is,
- 9:19how much more size matters.
- 9:23And I don't know if people remember Matt
- 9:25Frazier was not big.
- 9:26He's my size.
- 9:28Right.
- 9:29Like he's just a tick taller than Colton.
- 9:33He's Matt,
- 9:34Matt Fraser and I are almost the exact
- 9:36same size.
- 9:37He is a hell of a lot strong
- 9:38or was anyway.
- 9:39I have no idea what his strength numbers
- 9:40look like now.
- 9:41I'm assuming they're pretty good,
- 9:42but five foot six,
- 9:43one hundred ninety ish pounds,
- 9:44something like that.
- 9:45When he was competing,
- 9:46he was he walked around at one ninety
- 9:48five, not quite two hundred.
- 9:51And.
- 9:52Right.
- 9:54I don't want to say that these are
- 9:56the guys my size winning or over with,
- 9:59but right now, that's not the trend.
- 10:01Right now, you got the Dallin Peppers,
- 10:04the James Spriggs,
- 10:05the Jason Hoppers that are the big guys,
- 10:08man.
- 10:09They are big dudes,
- 10:09and they figured out how to move.
- 10:12Adler made the comment recently how hard
- 10:14it is to keep up with the younger
- 10:15athletes, and he's still competing.
- 10:18Yeah, exactly.
- 10:20And Jeff Adler, who won the games, FYI.
- 10:22Yeah.
- 10:24Is it?
- 10:29And Adler's a little bit bigger than
- 10:31Fraser.
- 10:33Plus the toll it takes on your body.
- 10:36Like all that competing,
- 10:38all that training.
- 10:39There's only one human being that I have
- 10:41not seen it take a toll on yet.
- 10:45And we're going to talk about her real
- 10:46quick.
- 10:46Right.
- 10:48I would also say this.
- 10:51When Matt was competing,
- 10:53when Matt was winning consecutive titles,
- 10:56beating the crap out of everybody,
- 10:57he only had to worry about himself.
- 11:01That's it.
- 11:03No kids.
- 11:04It was him and Sammy.
- 11:05That was it.
- 11:05She took care of him.
- 11:07They lived their life,
- 11:08did whatever they had to do until they
- 11:10didn't.
- 11:11And, I mean, Sammy,
- 11:13they had a kid within, what,
- 11:14a year of him being retired?
- 11:18maybe a year and a half,
- 11:19something like that.
- 11:20So that's a planned thing.
- 11:23I'm not saying you can't be competitive
- 11:26having a child, two children,
- 11:28whatever the case may be, right?
- 11:29Roman's got a baby.
- 11:31Roman's kid is, what, probably four now,
- 11:34something like that, three,
- 11:35somewhere up in that area.
- 11:37I'm not exactly sure.
- 11:38And he's still fairly competitive when
- 11:40he's not injured like he is apparently
- 11:42now.
- 11:43But it changes the dynamic a lot, right?
- 11:47If you are any sort of a father
- 11:49worth your salt, right?
- 11:51There's other things that matter, dude,
- 11:53and they come first.
- 11:55But it's even beyond that.
- 11:58Here's the deal.
- 11:59When Matt was great,
- 12:01he was his entire camp's priority.
- 12:06Yeah.
- 12:07He was Sammy's priority.
- 12:09He was O'Keefe's priority, right?
- 12:12And all the other coaches he had and
- 12:14nutritionists and all of that stuff,
- 12:16right?
- 12:17Yeah.
- 12:19He was all of their number one priority.
- 12:22Listen,
- 12:23I know a lot of mothers who love
- 12:25their kids.
- 12:27I am telling you,
- 12:27Matt is not the number one priority
- 12:29anymore.
- 12:29No.
- 12:32I lived that life.
- 12:34I went down on the priority list the
- 12:36minute my daughter was born.
- 12:39And that's something you just have to
- 12:41understand.
- 12:41Yeah.
- 12:44It's all right.
- 12:45It's just life.
- 12:47Right.
- 12:48And I see that like his mental game,
- 12:50like Frazier's mental game was top notch.
- 12:53But it was,
- 12:56he had to like walk away for a
- 12:58couple months just to get back to that.
- 13:01Like now that you've not done that for
- 13:03six years,
- 13:05it's not something you can just flip a
- 13:07switch and it comes back.
- 13:09Matt was also, when he prioritized,
- 13:11he prioritized.
- 13:12He missed things.
- 13:15Like major life events,
- 13:17people's weddings and stuff like that
- 13:19because he was training to win the games.
- 13:20He wasn't training to make the games.
- 13:22He was training to win the games.
- 13:23And so like nothing else mattered.
- 13:26And you don't just dive back into that
- 13:30with two kids.
- 13:32Like,
- 13:32you can't just turn that all off and
- 13:34go, well, that's all I care about anymore.
- 13:36So, you know, to hell with them kids.
- 13:39I'm not dealing with any of that.
- 13:41Now, you can still go do things, sure.
- 13:44But to be the Matt Fraser that we
- 13:45all knew, six years later, five, seven,
- 13:49whatever many years it's going to be at
- 13:51this point, no, dude, I don't see it.
- 13:54And what made him great is he was
- 13:57willing to hurt more than anybody else.
- 13:59Right.
- 14:01That was his superpower.
- 14:03Ain't nobody going to hurt like I hurt.
- 14:07Absolutely.
- 14:08And to convince yourself it's worth going
- 14:12to that place again is not as easy
- 14:17as some of the speculation that's being
- 14:19thrown about.
- 14:20Yeah.
- 14:22I just don't see it.
- 14:27uh in the chat i just can't see
- 14:29him going indie with his old mentality uh
- 14:32and how he talked about it exactly exactly
- 14:37tristan understands apparently we're
- 14:42making joseph high he's having lunch time
- 14:44at eighteen thousand feet it's a really
- 14:50specific number
- 14:55I think he's undercover on a plane with
- 14:57snakes.
- 15:00But he's tired of them.
- 15:03I bet he's tired of them.
- 15:05Oh, man.
- 15:06But anyway,
- 15:07I just wanted to get that out because
- 15:10I see like Dallin Pepper and Justin
- 15:13Medeiros all talking talk.
- 15:14Oh, they did a whole segment on him.
- 15:16Yeah.
- 15:17Right.
- 15:17But I see like there is reverence for
- 15:21him and how great he was.
- 15:23As there should be.
- 15:24He earned that.
- 15:26right and he deserves all of that respect
- 15:30absolutely every bit of it but to wrap
- 15:34that engine up again i think is a
- 15:35much bigger step than and they probably
- 15:40they just probably did it as a
- 15:41conversation piece and not a thought out
- 15:43piece
- 15:45because we do that a lot on this
- 15:46show.
- 15:47A lot of what we talk about is
- 15:48not thought out.
- 15:49It's just viewed from our, our,
- 15:52our mouths.
- 15:52And when you do a podcast,
- 15:55sometimes that's the best content,
- 15:56but yeah.
- 16:01Uh, Ramirez is going back to Cali, Cali,
- 16:05uh, for some California.
- 16:07No, probably not.
- 16:12Oh,
- 16:16And of course,
- 16:17the woman always has to jump in and
- 16:19correct the man.
- 16:21Because wouldn't you actually be at thirty
- 16:22two thousand feet?
- 16:24Are you flying the plane, Meg?
- 16:27Lead that man along.
- 16:35Corey,
- 16:36what you are saying is with respect.
- 16:40What Frazier was,
- 16:41how good would seventy five percent of
- 16:43what Frazier was be today?
- 16:45Nobody knows what percentage of Matt
- 16:47Frazier that he would have today.
- 16:49I'm just saying it would be an uphill
- 16:51climb to get back to what he was.
- 16:55Do I think he could do it?
- 16:57I think he could do it if the
- 17:01stars aligned and he was willing to do
- 17:03it and his camp was willing to go
- 17:05all in again.
- 17:08I just don't think any of that's going
- 17:09to happen.
- 17:11It's a big ass to go from,
- 17:14and not nothing.
- 17:15I know he's been working out, right?
- 17:17I mean, that's just mentality stuff,
- 17:19right?
- 17:19He just been sitting around for six years,
- 17:22sitting on his ass doing nothing.
- 17:24But there's a different level of,
- 17:26the reason Tia has been able to have
- 17:29a baby, come back, have a baby,
- 17:31and possibly come back again like she's
- 17:32doing is because she never stopped
- 17:33training during any of it.
- 17:35She trains like a psycho the entire time.
- 17:39When Matt walked away,
- 17:42he visibly got skinnier.
- 17:45Everybody saw it.
- 17:45I was like, damn,
- 17:46that dude doesn't even look the same
- 17:47anymore because he had to work to maintain
- 17:49what he had.
- 17:52You don't just pick that back up.
- 17:55Eating is a job.
- 17:57Yeah, man.
- 17:58Not an easy one.
- 18:00Not an easy one.
- 18:01I'm with you, Joseph.
- 18:03I'd love to be just twenty five percent
- 18:05of what you used to be.
- 18:07Dude, I take five.
- 18:12I would like to be able to just
- 18:14add our size, his size and my size,
- 18:18be able to row a quarter of how
- 18:23good he could actually row for what the
- 18:25size was.
- 18:26It's ridiculous.
- 18:28Tristan's right.
- 18:29It's a lose-lose for him to do it.
- 18:31Absolutely.
- 18:32There's nothing to be gained by coming
- 18:34back.
- 18:35No.
- 18:38He's not going to compete in Masters.
- 18:40That's not going to happen.
- 18:41He's not going to do...
- 18:44If he does a Xenon or an Ethics
- 18:46or something like that,
- 18:47that makes way more sense.
- 18:49That's a one weekend thing.
- 18:51That's how you can get fit,
- 18:52get yourself really fit, get out there.
- 18:54Holy shit, Matt Fraser's doing a Xenon.
- 18:56How cool is that to see?
- 18:57And he could do it as a partner.
- 18:59Yeah, absolutely.
- 19:00Just for fun...
- 19:04I don't know.
- 19:05Avera says,
- 19:05I think I'd actually prefer to see Mal
- 19:06come back than Frazier.
- 19:08Mal is still young and unfulfilled.
- 19:10I don't think Mal's ever getting back to
- 19:12that headspace again.
- 19:13Once you leave that realm,
- 19:17like look at a boxer that's retired and
- 19:19they come back five years later,
- 19:21still fit, still can do all the movements.
- 19:24But once you leave that all-in mindset,
- 19:29it's hard to get back there.
- 19:32I'm not saying it's impossible by any
- 19:33stretch of the imagination,
- 19:34but it's not the norm.
- 19:40It's not, you know,
- 19:40it's a slow ramp up to that over
- 19:42your life to where Mal was in twenty
- 19:47twenty one, twenty twenty two.
- 19:49That was her all in.
- 19:51She had built up to that point.
- 19:53She had calloused her mind.
- 19:55She was all in and she did it.
- 19:57She went so hard at it that it
- 20:00snapped.
- 20:00It wiped her out.
- 20:01Walk away.
- 20:02Yeah.
- 20:03Yeah.
- 20:03So after you get to a point where
- 20:05you snap and walk away,
- 20:06how do you push yourself to that limit
- 20:08again?
- 20:13I would say the exceptions are guys like
- 20:16Mike Tyson.
- 20:16You hear Roy Jones?
- 20:19No.
- 20:19If you listen to Roy Jones talk about
- 20:21when he fought Mike.
- 20:22Oh, come on.
- 20:23Roy Jones was seventy two when they
- 20:25fought.
- 20:25OK.
- 20:26And Mike was fifty three.
- 20:28And he said, that dude is still stupid.
- 20:31And it's because Mike never loses that
- 20:33mentality.
- 20:33It never goes away.
- 20:35But he's the exception, not the rule.
- 20:36I'm not saying his body was still doing
- 20:38all the same things he could,
- 20:40but his mind is still like that.
- 20:42When he gets in the ring,
- 20:43he's in the ring.
- 20:43He doesn't give a shit about anything
- 20:45else.
- 20:46Exception, not the rule.
- 20:47I've watched every single Mike Tyson fight
- 20:49that has ever been.
- 20:51The dude changed.
- 20:54The dude changed.
- 20:55He got a lot of money,
- 20:56and things changed.
- 20:58He was not the fighter he was.
- 21:00He was not willing to do the training
- 21:02that he did before.
- 21:04I would argue that.
- 21:06Now,
- 21:07when he gets in those three minutes in
- 21:09a round,
- 21:11does he want to fight like he used
- 21:13to?
- 21:13Sure.
- 21:14But he didn't do the training for the
- 21:15six weeks before to get to a spot
- 21:18where his body would allow him.
- 21:20And that's where the change is made.
- 21:23I'm not arguing that.
- 21:24I'm arguing that when he gets in there,
- 21:27that killer is still in there.
- 21:30Because it never goes away.
- 21:31He doesn't know anything different.
- 21:34Right,
- 21:34but it's not about the killer in the
- 21:36ring.
- 21:36It's about the killer in the barn and
- 21:39the killer running the training montage.
- 21:43Right, all of that stuff.
- 21:45That's when the killer still has to be
- 21:47there.
- 21:47Can you do it every day of the
- 21:49week for the six months leading up to
- 21:52that?
- 21:53I don't doubt that Frazier could walk into
- 21:57Madison or Albany and turn it on for
- 22:03a game.
- 22:04Sure,
- 22:04but could he do it for the six
- 22:06months getting him ready for that?
- 22:08No, he's a different person now.
- 22:10That's the piece that's missing.
- 22:12All right.
- 22:12All right.
- 22:21he became the Rocky versus Clubber Lang in
- 22:23the first fight.
- 22:24Yeah,
- 22:25the Rocky that had the big house and
- 22:27had the big...
- 22:29And how did they have to fight Clubber?
- 22:31He had to go to the hood in
- 22:33LA and train with Apollo and get dirty
- 22:37in the crusty gym again and have the
- 22:42lash out of Adrian telling him that he's
- 22:45wasting away his opportunity.
- 22:48And why?
- 22:50It's money.
- 22:51It's money.
- 22:52It's just money.
- 23:00I wonder if a less invested,
- 23:02more balanced amount actually could be
- 23:03more effective than the version it broke
- 23:05down.
- 23:12I think in this day and age,
- 23:13if you're not coming at
- 23:18the field is getting too good to not
- 23:20come at peak.
- 23:21Yeah.
- 23:22I was going to say the same thing.
- 23:23Like I Haley, Haley's a perfect example.
- 23:29Yeah.
- 23:30Like she backed away.
- 23:33But let's be clear.
- 23:35Mal was better than the best.
- 23:38Mal was better than the best Haley.
- 23:40Yeah, absolutely.
- 23:41But what I'm saying is that Haley comes
- 23:42back and everybody has all these
- 23:44expectations, right?
- 23:45Oh, look at her.
- 23:45She's put on weight.
- 23:46She looks fantastic.
- 23:47She's clearly going to be stronger, blah,
- 23:48blah, whatever.
- 23:49And.
- 23:51taking that time off,
- 23:52taking that time away and whatnot,
- 23:54a little bit less invested.
- 23:55Now she comes back and instead of being
- 23:57somewhere hanging around the top five,
- 23:59top whatever, blah, blah, blah.
- 24:01Now she's coming down a little bit and
- 24:03like the expectations have fallen off of
- 24:05her.
- 24:05Is she having more fun?
- 24:06Absolutely.
- 24:07Is she a threat to get on the
- 24:08podium?
- 24:09Nobody thinks that anymore.
- 24:12In my forties,
- 24:13I would dunk a basketball every day just
- 24:15so I could.
- 24:16I quit for like six months and poof,
- 24:17it was gone.
- 24:18Six years is a long time.
- 24:20It's a great analogy, Larry.
- 24:22Yeah.
- 24:24If you don't lose it,
- 24:25you don't use it, you lose it, right?
- 24:27It's a perishable skill.
- 24:28Yep.
- 24:29It is a perishable skill.
- 24:30Even mindset.
- 24:32If you don't use the mindset for a
- 24:34long time, it's hard to get it back.
- 24:36Yeah.
- 24:41Yes, Leto.
- 24:42Let's just say it's hard to be at
- 24:44the very top and not be a little
- 24:45mentally ill.
- 24:46Right.
- 24:50All right.
- 24:53I was going to do this.
- 24:54I'm going to close this down.
- 24:55I want to share this that popped up
- 24:57on my feed today since we're talking about
- 25:00all this stuff.
- 25:03Might as well talk some more
- 25:04hypotheticals.
- 25:05And then final question.
- 25:07How excited are you at the thought,
- 25:11because I'm very excited about this,
- 25:14of Tia coming back next year and you
- 25:17two competing head-to-head at the CrossFit
- 25:20Games?
- 25:20Yeah, I mean,
- 25:21I did team with Tia for the Waterpalooza
- 25:24SoCal event and that was really fun.
- 25:27I got to know her quite well and
- 25:28she's, yeah, she's fun.
- 25:31So that would be
- 25:33one hell of a weekend.
- 25:35Yeah.
- 25:36Have you heard much?
- 25:37Is she coming back?
- 25:39I have not heard.
- 25:41I haven't asked her directly.
- 25:43I'm getting, I kind of,
- 25:44I kind of think she will.
- 25:46I believe she will.
- 25:47She's too much of a competitor and seeing
- 25:50your dominance and your, your rise.
- 25:53I think she'll want to take a stab
- 25:55at it.
- 25:57And then final.
- 25:59She'll want to take a stab at it.
- 26:02I love the, why?
- 26:04What have you heard?
- 26:06Yes.
- 26:07Yes.
- 26:07That was my favorite part of the whole
- 26:09thing.
- 26:10Cause, cause she,
- 26:12cause Kregel talks the tough, like, Oh,
- 26:14that'd be a hell of a weekend.
- 26:16Yeah.
- 26:17Uh, but what have you heard?
- 26:18Yeah.
- 26:18So have you, have you heard,
- 26:21have you heard anything?
- 26:23Like what have you heard?
- 26:24Yeah.
- 26:25that's hilarious that is absolutely if
- 26:27you've heard something i i need to get
- 26:29to the gym right now so i would
- 26:30yeah like it's like a it's a moment
- 26:34of panic right like what have you heard
- 26:39i don't because like she's got all these
- 26:40other things going in her mind right like
- 26:43wfp finals and uh rogue and blah blah
- 26:46blah like all the stuff she's training for
- 26:48and all of a sudden dave brings up
- 26:49tia like
- 26:51relatively casually, you know, wanting,
- 26:54asking her the question.
- 26:55Everybody wants to know kudos today for
- 26:57that.
- 26:57And she just, Oh yeah, no,
- 27:00that would be fantastic.
- 27:01It'd be a great weekend.
- 27:01Wait, wait, what have you heard?
- 27:06I think, uh,
- 27:08it's it's like the when you're when you
- 27:10like dream about what might be or what
- 27:13could be coming and but it's all like
- 27:15hypothetical and it's out in the future so
- 27:17you don't really know and then all of
- 27:19a sudden someone slaps you with reality
- 27:21that yeah this is going to happen and
- 27:24i in that moment because the way dave
- 27:26was talking about it it was like he
- 27:28already knew something and she was like oh
- 27:32oh do we know is that a thing
- 27:34is that is that a thing that's going
- 27:35to happen
- 27:36Whoa, whoa.
- 27:38Okay.
- 27:39Because if that's a thing...
- 27:42I need to get off this boat.
- 27:43I need to go.
- 27:44I need...
- 27:44I got to go get on a bike
- 27:46or something.
- 27:46I got to... Oh, that's good.
- 27:51That is really good.
- 27:52That needs to be...
- 27:53Did you clip that or is that a
- 27:54clip that's already out?
- 27:56That's a clip that's out.
- 27:57Good.
- 27:59That's going to get a lot of traction.
- 28:03And so...
- 28:05When we talk about Tia,
- 28:06it's a completely different story than
- 28:08what we just talked about with Mike Tyson,
- 28:11Mal, and Matt.
- 28:13Because Tia has never stepped away from...
- 28:18Tia's never stepped away from this.
- 28:21That woman probably is competing with
- 28:25Shane in the house over sweeping the floor
- 28:29or running down to the mailbox or...
- 28:32I wouldn't want to play cards with her.
- 28:35Like just like, and not even like poker,
- 28:37like battle just where you just throw one
- 28:39down.
- 28:39Cause as soon as she gets a win,
- 28:40she's going to flip the table over.
- 28:41Like, and, and she posted a workout today.
- 28:44Yeah, of course she did.
- 28:47I was like getting back after the birth
- 28:48of the baby and doing all the like,
- 28:50and looks.
- 28:53Yeah.
- 28:54Like Tia, like she didn't have a baby.
- 28:58And so, like,
- 28:59she is the one exception that the years
- 29:03and years of doing all this stuff seems
- 29:05to have taken no effect on her ability
- 29:07to compete.
- 29:10There's been very little degradation to
- 29:14her ability in all of that time.
- 29:17She just seems to be getting better,
- 29:18which is frightening, really.
- 29:23or not even that she's getting better,
- 29:24it's that nobody seems to be able to
- 29:26catch her no matter what happens.
- 29:28She's on baby number two now, right?
- 29:31Like you said, just posted a thing,
- 29:33getting back into training, right?
- 29:35It's October sixteenth.
- 29:38I can guarantee you by December,
- 29:42she's going to be posting shit, you know,
- 29:44somebody's going to be posting stuff for
- 29:45her doing something ridiculous and
- 29:47nobody's going to bat an eye about it
- 29:48because it'll just seem like normal life.
- 29:52juggling the two kids while snatching a
- 29:55barbell like something that doesn't even
- 29:57make any kind of sense and so all
- 30:00the stuff we talked about getting back
- 30:02into that dark space and that mentality
- 30:04and tia never left no that's what i
- 30:07was getting at if you don't if you
- 30:08never leave you can't you don't have to
- 30:11come back it's easy to get back you
- 30:14don't worry about getting back if you
- 30:15never leave
- 30:18And like all of her content is always
- 30:20like, well, you never know.
- 30:21Well, you never,
- 30:22like she never committed to a retirement
- 30:24ever.
- 30:26The closest she came was leaving her shoes
- 30:28on the floor,
- 30:29and then basically she went back and got
- 30:31them afterwards.
- 30:36I thought the only thing was Shane telling
- 30:38Sean Woodland that she was going to
- 30:40retire,
- 30:42and Tia never said it publicly to anybody,
- 30:45and then made Sean look like an ass.
- 30:47Poor Sean.
- 30:48I felt bad for him for that one,
- 30:51dude.
- 30:51For the last time.
- 30:53Yeah.
- 30:55No, Sean, not for the last time.
- 30:59All right.
- 30:59The chat's talking about it.
- 31:01I was going to bring it up,
- 31:02but here we go.
- 31:06On the Australian boys, I think.
- 31:10Did you miss your flight?
- 31:15Just cancelling a couple of hours ago.
- 31:16Oh, no.
- 31:16Yeah, I'm just moving to Wisconsin,
- 31:17Madison.
- 31:17Oh, really?
- 31:19Yeah, yeah.
- 31:20Maybe, yeah, maybe.
- 31:20That's exciting.
- 31:22Maybe Saturday.
- 31:24Yeah, yeah, Saturday.
- 31:30The games isn't there anymore.
- 31:32I'm just making sure everything can, yeah.
- 31:35You've always loved Wisconsin, right?
- 31:38Or Madison?
- 31:40I think that's enough of that.
- 31:43He basically says he's moving from
- 31:45Cookeville to Madison and that he's doing
- 31:52it because of the education for his kid.
- 31:57That the education is better in Madison.
- 32:02I have weird thoughts in my head.
- 32:04Yes.
- 32:04I'm not sure I want to be a
- 32:06dense updates part two.
- 32:07So I'm going to leave those thoughts in
- 32:09my head.
- 32:10Yeah.
- 32:10We'll leave that alone.
- 32:12But the other thing is what the hell
- 32:14is happening at mayhem?
- 32:16Haley leaves.
- 32:18Austin is rumored to leave.
- 32:21Roman leaves.
- 32:22I mean, he's leaving Tennessee.
- 32:26Does that mean that he's leaving mayhem?
- 32:28I mean, does anybody know?
- 32:33don't know what to know aside from
- 32:36whatever he just said what the hell is
- 32:38in madison
- 32:41Well,
- 32:41Carolyn Prevost would tell you a really
- 32:42good college where she won a couple
- 32:46national championships.
- 32:48Great.
- 32:48You think that's where Roman's going?
- 32:51Well,
- 32:52that was his first home in the United
- 32:54States, just so everybody is clear.
- 32:56Right.
- 32:58The people who helped him get out of
- 33:01Russia to the United States were from
- 33:05Madison and
- 33:07That was his first home.
- 33:09That is where he first trained.
- 33:12And it wasn't until six months in that
- 33:16he tried out a couple gyms around the
- 33:18country and ended up deciding on Cookville
- 33:24and Mayhem.
- 33:30I mean,
- 33:30the man can move wherever he wants to
- 33:31go.
- 33:32It does seem like there's a mass exodus
- 33:34going on, but like,
- 33:35there's also a bunch of people that are
- 33:36still there.
- 33:36Quinn Robinson.
- 33:39Still there.
- 33:40Freaking, what's his name?
- 33:42Everybody's rumoring that he's leaving,
- 33:45the rabbit farmer,
- 33:46but he hasn't actually gone anywhere yet
- 33:47as far as I know anyway.
- 33:49Well,
- 33:50I guess some proven coaches have said it,
- 33:52but it's not officially confirmed by any
- 33:56social media post.
- 33:57And I guess in this day and age,
- 33:58if you don't see it on Instagram,
- 34:01it's not real.
- 34:01I can tell you I snatched one eighty
- 34:06five Thursday morning,
- 34:06but if you didn't actually see it on
- 34:08Instagram, did it happen?
- 34:10No one knows.
- 34:15Shanna says Noah Wilson is there.
- 34:17You have Quinn Robinson.
- 34:19I mean, there's some young talent there.
- 34:21I'm not saying that.
- 34:24But all of the synonymous names with
- 34:30mayhem are gone.
- 34:33Like coaches have left.
- 34:35Athletes have left.
- 34:39It's just weird.
- 34:43I know Angelo is still there,
- 34:45but to see Angelo DiCicco on a whip
- 34:48team as opposed to a mayhem team was
- 34:51just bizarre.
- 34:55But again, they said they were done,
- 34:57and so they recruited four new people.
- 35:00I could not...
- 35:02put the two things together in my head
- 35:04to save my life.
- 35:06Like watching, because I watch the teams,
- 35:08because I know people that compete on
- 35:09teams fairly regularly.
- 35:10So I'm one of the few people who
- 35:11actually watches teams and cares about
- 35:13them.
- 35:14And I kept saying,
- 35:16Angelo DiCicco and not on the Mayhem team.
- 35:20And I was like,
- 35:21that does not compute in my head.
- 35:24But it was a thing.
- 35:25But I mean, clearly he's still there,
- 35:27right?
- 35:29So, yeah, I don't, I don't know.
- 35:31Something's going on over there.
- 35:32Like people don't leave for no reason.
- 35:36People don't move away from,
- 35:38for no reason.
- 35:39People don't, you know,
- 35:40and maybe it's just stages of life type
- 35:42stuff.
- 35:42And it's just the fact that you don't
- 35:44get to see it or you do get
- 35:46to see us to say more often now
- 35:48because of social media, right?
- 35:49Because everything is instant right at
- 35:51your fingertips.
- 35:51You find out the second things happen,
- 35:53right?
- 35:56uh that you get to see more of
- 35:57it and you realize that more of it
- 35:58that that's happening but it doesn't seem
- 36:00to be happening at brute it doesn't seem
- 36:03to be happening at proven it doesn't seem
- 36:07to be or if it does maybe i'm
- 36:09just not in those circles or maybe it's
- 36:11more publicized because it's mayhem and
- 36:14mayhem has been around forever and it's
- 36:15rich's place and i don't know
- 36:20Mayhem's that place that you looked at as
- 36:23it is the rock of the community.
- 36:26Like it will be here maybe longer than
- 36:29CrossFit.
- 36:30And as an affiliate,
- 36:31it's probably doing just fine.
- 36:34Oh, I'm sure.
- 36:37I'm sure their affiliate fees are covered
- 36:40by their memberships.
- 36:43Right, and their programming.
- 36:44Because I know tons of gyms that use
- 36:48their affiliate programming.
- 36:50I can think of three that are within
- 36:52an hour of me.
- 36:53I think they said at one time they
- 36:54had three thousand gyms using their
- 36:58affiliate programming.
- 36:58I can think of three right now that
- 37:01are all an hour from me, roughly.
- 37:04all that all follow i mean it's weird
- 37:08it's it's crazy yeah um brute too young
- 37:16and small mayhem so big easy to notice
- 37:18major athlete changes i actually think
- 37:22I hear what you're saying, Shanna,
- 37:24but I actually think if someone left
- 37:26Brute,
- 37:26it would be a way bigger deal because
- 37:30they're small.
- 37:31Well,
- 37:31and because of their recent successes,
- 37:34right?
- 37:35I mean,
- 37:36they're literally shuffling people onto
- 37:38the podium.
- 37:40Like,
- 37:40get up on there because that's what we're
- 37:42doing.
- 37:42So, yeah.
- 37:42I mean, think back to Underdogs.
- 37:45When Ricky left, when Danielle left,
- 37:48the news that that made was massive.
- 37:51Right.
- 37:54Because they were much smaller than like,
- 37:57I couldn't even really tell you the Mayhem
- 37:59roster anymore.
- 38:01Because one,
- 38:02it got so big that I couldn't even
- 38:05keep up with who the athletes were.
- 38:10I'm trying.
- 38:13So the initial two males that come to
- 38:15mind are Noah and Quinn, right?
- 38:19Right.
- 38:19And I'm not going to – because I
- 38:21know like Gi is probably still there,
- 38:23I think.
- 38:24Yeah.
- 38:24As far as I know,
- 38:25Gi is still there.
- 38:26But like as far as the – on
- 38:27the female –
- 38:30I know Caroline Klutz is a mayhem athlete,
- 38:33but you're not talking...
- 38:36And that's probably it.
- 38:37We are in this got-to-have-it-now world
- 38:41where patience is way less key to success
- 38:46in some people's minds.
- 38:49And that's why Brute is getting inundated
- 38:51with people.
- 38:52That's why Proven is getting inundated
- 38:53with people.
- 38:54Because of their recent successes,
- 38:58they are...
- 39:00People are looking for that quick fix.
- 39:03It's the Sarah Sigmundsdottir syndrome.
- 39:10Who's on her seventh comeback at this
- 39:12point?
- 39:16I stopped watching the videos and I love
- 39:18the girl to death.
- 39:20She seems like a fun human being to
- 39:24be around.
- 39:25All positive, all smiles, laughing,
- 39:27giggling, cutting up the entire time.
- 39:30Sweet baby.
- 39:30Either go get yourself in the master's
- 39:32division where you can compete because
- 39:34it's only five workouts at a time or
- 39:38like start whatever your, your, Hey,
- 39:41follow Sarah Sigma's daughter channel and,
- 39:44you know, grow your YouTube presence.
- 39:45I don't know.
- 39:47There you go.
- 39:50Apparently,
- 39:50she launched a fitness program,
- 39:52which is good.
- 39:53She ought to have enough coaching
- 39:54experience from her eighteen different
- 39:56coaches that she's had since twenty
- 39:58fourteen to be able to put enough stuff
- 40:00together to have a fitness program.
- 40:03You know what I feel like right now
- 40:04is that teacher where the kid called off
- 40:07sick,
- 40:08it wasn't going to be at school and
- 40:10see that state see them texting with the
- 40:13other students.
- 40:18Like, oh, right, right.
- 40:21I had a doctor's appointment.
- 40:23Yeah, that is fantastic.
- 40:30And then the Pancheck piece,
- 40:33if they wear the Mayhem shirt,
- 40:35it's a name only.
- 40:37They're all up in Cleveland.
- 40:39They're all working out at Mentality or in
- 40:42Scott's Garage or in Saxon's Garage.
- 40:47They are their own mini camp again.
- 40:48I was about to say,
- 40:49and they're writing their own stuff.
- 40:51They're not getting on the Mayhem app and
- 40:56doing what's Rich doing or whatever that
- 40:58program might be,
- 40:59whatever that ends up looking like.
- 41:00No, they are getting in there.
- 41:02They have enough knowledge between the
- 41:03three of them to write their own stuff
- 41:07on the board.
- 41:10It was telling that Mayhem didn't field a
- 41:12camp at SoCal.
- 41:16Battle of the camps did not include
- 41:19mayhem.
- 41:19Because I am betting you, I'm betting you,
- 41:24Dylan,
- 41:25when he thought up this idea and wrote
- 41:27down the list of camps,
- 41:29I am betting you, dogs to donuts,
- 41:33that TTT was not listed above mayhem.
- 41:37Oh, no.
- 41:42No.
- 41:42TTT brought three Masters athletes.
- 41:45I mean, come on.
- 41:47The male side.
- 41:49They actually were fun to watch.
- 41:51I'm glad it turned out that way.
- 41:53They're the three best friends that anyone
- 41:56could have.
- 41:57Of course they were fun to watch.
- 42:00They were absolutely fun to watch because
- 42:02if me, you, and, I don't know,
- 42:05pick a person, me, you,
- 42:06and Vicky were on a team,
- 42:07we'd be fun to watch because we'd be
- 42:09fucking cutting up the entire time, right?
- 42:12Doing stuff, cool, awesome.
- 42:14Doesn't mean we're going to be real good.
- 42:16It just means that we'd be fun to
- 42:17watch, right?
- 42:18Relative to whatever field that we were
- 42:19out there on.
- 42:21Same thing with them three guys.
- 42:22They are fun to watch because they've been
- 42:23knowing each other forever.
- 42:24They're really good friends and they're
- 42:26really fit.
- 42:27Yeah,
- 42:27of course they're going to be fun to
- 42:28watch.
- 42:29Hell yes, they are.
- 42:32Is TTT as a camp going to be
- 42:34listed above Mayhem?
- 42:36And I don't think it brings,
- 42:38their names don't bring people to the
- 42:40party like the Mayhem names used to.
- 42:42No.
- 42:44And that's nothing against them
- 42:47whatsoever.
- 42:47Like,
- 42:48them three dudes is legitimate monsters.
- 42:51But, I mean, come on.
- 42:53Now,
- 42:54there may be a day in the future
- 42:55that Lydia, Annika,
- 42:56and Hannah bring people to the table.
- 42:59Yeah.
- 42:59But even at that,
- 43:01they're not a Hayley Adams yet.
- 43:06I think Rich attracted a lot of athletes
- 43:08and he has less and less to do
- 43:09with competitive CrossFit now.
- 43:11I think you're onto the right point,
- 43:13Terry.
- 43:14But I think the biggest thing is Rich's
- 43:17life has gotten in the way.
- 43:19Yeah.
- 43:19He has three kids, all playing sports,
- 43:23all doing activities,
- 43:24and he's just not working out as much
- 43:26anymore.
- 43:27It used to be Rich would write a
- 43:29program,
- 43:30he would work out and invite everybody to
- 43:32come work out with him.
- 43:35And that just doesn't happen anymore.
- 43:37He's got to work out when he has
- 43:39time,
- 43:39which is probably early in the morning or
- 43:42late at night because he's running kids
- 43:44from here, there, and everywhere.
- 43:48And so his presence is probably not at
- 43:53Mayhem, the affiliate,
- 43:57or the barn like it used to be.
- 44:00he is probably called in when they need
- 44:02to when they need him for something kind
- 44:06of like last year or year before that
- 44:07whenever uh ben and blair had him helping
- 44:10with the programming for uh for ncc right
- 44:13hey man can you mind come take a
- 44:15look at these with us and whatnot yeah
- 44:16absolutely so i do i make time for
- 44:19that
- 44:19Yeah,
- 44:20I do think he's involved in competitive
- 44:21CrossFit in that way.
- 44:23I do think he consults.
- 44:24I do think he programs.
- 44:26I do think he reaches out and talks
- 44:29to people.
- 44:31But he's not doing the day-to-day stuff at
- 44:33his gym like he used to do where
- 44:36you could go hang with Rich for the
- 44:37day.
- 44:40Yeah.
- 44:40You show up and just, hey,
- 44:42let's go do stuff with Rich.
- 44:45Yeah.
- 44:49Thanks, Yvonne.
- 44:51Wherever Lydia goes,
- 44:52there will be fish heads.
- 44:54I was trying to explain that.
- 44:56So Jameson was watching,
- 44:57my eight-year-old.
- 44:59We were watching that,
- 45:00and they said her name, right?
- 45:02And Lydia Fish, whatever.
- 45:04And Jameson looked at me, she goes,
- 45:05her name is Fish?
- 45:07I said, yeah, baby.
- 45:09Her last name is Fish.
- 45:10I said...
- 45:11her fans call their self fish heads and
- 45:13she was mortified until i showed her a
- 45:16picture of the fish heads with the actual
- 45:18fish head on and she then she was
- 45:19fine with it yeah made your oldest
- 45:22standard jaw it's weird you people in
- 45:24louisiana take fish heads and make soup
- 45:26out of it it's a different type of
- 45:27relationship hundred percent uh shana says
- 45:32i wonder if mayhem is concentrating more
- 45:34on religious projects and base i don't i
- 45:37really honestly think
- 45:39that it is Rich is so busy in
- 45:41life that the CrossFit thing has fallen
- 45:47down the priority list.
- 45:48Just like when my wife had a daughter
- 45:50and I fell down the priority list,
- 45:52Rich has three kids and the mayhem empire
- 45:56has dropped down a notch on his priority
- 45:58list.
- 46:00Kids, wife, mayhem.
- 46:05And God's probably up there too.
- 46:07It's probably God, kids, wife, foot.
- 46:10Yeah.
- 46:13It's like the Marine order hierarchy.
- 46:18I will say this.
- 46:18So like at beach brawl a couple weeks
- 46:20ago, mayhem is one of the sponsors, right?
- 46:24They didn't have an actual tent,
- 46:26like a mayhem tent.
- 46:27Like, you know, people open it up,
- 46:29you know,
- 46:30They got a tent and they got all
- 46:31their logos and shit on it.
- 46:33They just had one year to go to
- 46:35Academy Sports and Outdoors.
- 46:36And they were selling their shirts out of
- 46:38it.
- 46:38And Luke Parker was there like hanging
- 46:40out, talking to people.
- 46:41That was it.
- 46:43That did not used to be the case.
- 46:45The last time I was there,
- 46:46which was twenty twenty four.
- 46:50Yeah.
- 46:51The last time I was there in twenty
- 46:51twenty four,
- 46:52they had like the mayhem tent,
- 46:55like capitalized mayhem tent.
- 46:57Right.
- 46:57With mayhem shit and written all over it.
- 47:00All kinds of stuff set up.
- 47:02Buffalo Brew was there like selling coffee
- 47:04and whatnot.
- 47:05It was a whole ass thing.
- 47:06I just found that weird.
- 47:08Like,
- 47:08here's one of the sponsors of this event.
- 47:11And they literally have some stuff I could
- 47:12have brought with me in the back of
- 47:15my Jeep if I drove it up there.
- 47:16I don't know.
- 47:17It was odd.
- 47:19i think they have so much going on
- 47:21now that some of their presence are going
- 47:25to be like they they are going nowhere
- 47:28right they are still going to be a
- 47:30big brand in the space it's just their
- 47:33focus on elite athletes is probably not as
- 47:35high as it used to be yeah i
- 47:37think that's what uh steve is saying right
- 47:39here like maybe to focus on what he's
- 47:41doing within the empire shifted rather
- 47:43than less of focus overall
- 47:45broadening the base rather than focusing
- 47:47on a few athletes at the top,
- 47:48at the tip of the spear,
- 47:50that would make a lot more sense, right?
- 47:52Putting more into the programming,
- 47:53putting more into the day-to-day mayhem
- 47:57athlete stuff, right?
- 47:59Entirely possible.
- 48:00We'll never know.
- 48:01Well,
- 48:01the guy's talking about getting a full
- 48:03knee replacement by the end of the year.
- 48:06Plus, he's hurt.
- 48:08So he's not working out like he normally
- 48:10did.
- 48:11No.
- 48:11Like, none of that stuff.
- 48:13Although he is doing an Ironman.
- 48:16Like in two weeks.
- 48:17That's because he's just a psycho.
- 48:22He is an absolute psycho.
- 48:24I remember it was Hobart saying,
- 48:28like back whenever basically Hobart was
- 48:31basically living there and whatnot,
- 48:33he said they would get done with whatever
- 48:35session for the day, eat dinner,
- 48:36and he said dinner would be like
- 48:37eight-thirty at night, nine o'clock,
- 48:39and Rich would be like,
- 48:39we got to go run ten miles.
- 48:42And they just...
- 48:44go out the door and they'd run ten
- 48:46miles and they'd come back and then they'd
- 48:47go to sleep like that's an insane people
- 48:53don't do that fyi that's just not a
- 48:56thing that just happens
- 49:00Um,
- 49:01the last thing I wanted to just bring
- 49:02up a little bit is I,
- 49:04I watched killer on Savan today.
- 49:06And it's funny because like at the
- 49:08beginning of the week,
- 49:09I was pretty upset at what happened to
- 49:10Hiller and everything that YouTube has
- 49:16done and pulled and I don't know,
- 49:20got me into a space when I see
- 49:23what he's done in a week.
- 49:26Not even a week.
- 49:27In five days.
- 49:28Yeah.
- 49:31I'm really excited about the prospects for
- 49:33the future of different things.
- 49:37But what I...
- 49:38There was a comment made that I just
- 49:43wanted to kind of talk out.
- 49:45And that is that...
- 49:48Andrew leaving YouTube and going to his
- 49:50own platform hurts the other content
- 49:54creators in the space because he's pulling
- 49:57his audience away from the algorithm that
- 50:00we all use.
- 50:03That's a bold statement.
- 50:04And my thought is, okay,
- 50:09it's his life and he shouldn't be
- 50:11concerned with any of us.
- 50:13Not at all.
- 50:15He had his whole life ripped away from
- 50:17him.
- 50:19And if he has a solution,
- 50:23go do it.
- 50:24Go be powerful.
- 50:25Go take on the world.
- 50:27I'm behind you.
- 50:28Because if you show success,
- 50:32away the monopoly of YouTube starts to
- 50:37deteriorate.
- 50:39Yeah.
- 50:40Well, and here's the thing, dude.
- 50:43If you are said creator who's, well,
- 50:45he's pulling views away,
- 50:47messing up the algorithm.
- 50:49If your success is based on his success,
- 50:52you need to work harder.
- 50:55Right.
- 50:56End of story.
- 50:57Like if you're,
- 50:57you think if Grant thinks that Grant's
- 51:01success is tied to the Hiller success,
- 51:03because God forbid Hiller says anything
- 51:05without Grant saying something about it.
- 51:07I love you, Grant.
- 51:08I'm just picking on you.
- 51:10He would never say that.
- 51:12Then you have a, that's a you problem.
- 51:14That's not a Hiller problem.
- 51:16And that's not him taking away anything
- 51:17from you.
- 51:18That's you not good enough to stand on
- 51:20your own.
- 51:22That that's,
- 51:23that's a mind blowing thing to me that
- 51:25somebody would say something like that.
- 51:26Well, he's just taking away stuff from us.
- 51:28No, he's not.
- 51:29He's saving himself,
- 51:31which is what everybody should be able to
- 51:33do at some point.
- 51:34If you can't save yourself,
- 51:35you can't save anybody else.
- 51:38Good night, dude.
- 51:39I'm sorry.
- 51:49I, at the end of the day,
- 51:50you have to look out for number one.
- 51:52Yeah.
- 51:53Right.
- 51:54I love everybody in our chat.
- 51:56I love my friends.
- 51:58We talked yesterday about our little
- 51:59circle of trust, you know,
- 52:02that I love my people.
- 52:05But at the end of the day,
- 52:06if if I'm needed elsewhere to be able
- 52:09to provide for my family,
- 52:11that's what I got to do.
- 52:12Yeah.
- 52:14Right.
- 52:15And so.
- 52:18Anyway,
- 52:18the other comment was it's hurting
- 52:20CrossFit by him moving away from YouTube.
- 52:24And this one got me fired up because
- 52:28when CrossFit stops hurting themselves,
- 52:31then I'll worry about where Andrew Hiller
- 52:33is and how that affects CrossFit.
- 52:37Because we have mentioned CrossFit media
- 52:45and the lack of effort and the lack
- 52:48of connection to different things in the
- 52:50space is ridiculous.
- 52:55It's comical.
- 52:56It really, really is.
- 52:57When you look at this...
- 52:59We've had a discussion.
- 52:59We don't need to rehash it again, but...
- 53:02Their disconnect is actually comical.
- 53:05It does not make it.
- 53:06It's just silly.
- 53:07And with everything, right?
- 53:09We talked about it yesterday.
- 53:10The stuff that we're supposed to care
- 53:12about,
- 53:13that you have absolutely no connection to
- 53:15what's going on because why are you
- 53:16telling me what to care about?
- 53:19Mind-blowing.
- 53:20But to think that it's going to hurt
- 53:22CrossFit for Hiller to just shift from
- 53:26here to here so that he can continue
- 53:29doing what he was doing.
- 53:31And to act like he did it,
- 53:33that's implying that he did it himself.
- 53:36For all intents and purposes,
- 53:37YouTube fired him Monday morning.
- 53:41He did not want this.
- 53:42He did not ask for that.
- 53:43If you listen to him this morning,
- 53:45when he was getting this information from
- 53:47other people that this might be a thing,
- 53:50he went and scrubbed all of the videos
- 53:53where he talked about it and had a
- 53:55link to it, pulled them off.
- 53:57He missed one, and the bots got him.
- 54:01he said this morning so ain't like he
- 54:03left because he wanted to i like the
- 54:06convenience of everything being on youtube
- 54:08we'll just have to change my habits go
- 54:10to two sites it's not even that hard
- 54:14it's so not even that hard
- 54:17It's really not.
- 54:19But I do understand that concept, right?
- 54:24Sure.
- 54:24On YouTube,
- 54:25you just go video to video to video.
- 54:27It tells you what you want to see,
- 54:29so you don't even have to really search
- 54:31anymore.
- 54:32But maybe that's not a good thing.
- 54:35Yeah.
- 54:36It falls along the same lines of CrossFit
- 54:38telling us what we should care about.
- 54:40Right.
- 54:43As opposed to me going,
- 54:44I think I want to look at this
- 54:46instead.
- 54:48Hiller needs CrossFit more than not the
- 54:51other way around.
- 54:52See, that's where I completely disagree.
- 54:55One, if you listen to Andrew,
- 54:57I don't think this is going to be
- 54:58a CrossFit-only channel.
- 54:59No.
- 55:00This is going to be a fitness hub.
- 55:02Yep.
- 55:03It is going to be a social media
- 55:04fitness hub.
- 55:06And the things that CrossFit refused to do
- 55:10by partnering with, say,
- 55:12High Rocks or Tough Mudders or whatever.
- 55:16Whoever.
- 55:16Whoever.
- 55:20Andrew's going to do.
- 55:23You're going to have bodybuilding.
- 55:25You're going to have power lifting.
- 55:27You're going to have high rocks channels
- 55:30all on this.
- 55:30No rep TV.
- 55:32Maybe that becomes the hub for your
- 55:35fitness stuff.
- 55:38Yeah.
- 55:39Cause he is down for tape.
- 55:41Yeah.
- 55:41Cause he's down for all of it.
- 55:43If you talk, listen to him at all.
- 55:45He looks at all of that stuff.
- 55:48the bodybuilding content,
- 55:50the figure championships, the whatever,
- 55:52like he is into all that stuff.
- 55:54So you can apply to be a creator
- 55:55on his channel.
- 55:56You don't have to be a CrossFit creator.
- 55:59He's not limiting himself to that because
- 56:01that would be silly.
- 56:03He knows that.
- 56:04The dude is not stupid by any stretch
- 56:06of the imagination.
- 56:07So, hey,
- 56:08if you can provide something of value to
- 56:10his channel by being a creator on it,
- 56:12boom, he's going to put you on there.
- 56:14Why wouldn't he?
- 56:14That would be stupid for him not to.
- 56:17We still have other social media platforms
- 56:20that everyone uses, like Instagram.
- 56:22I often learn about new videos from the
- 56:24IG platform.
- 56:25Same, same, same, same.
- 56:28Usually, I don't – because I get –
- 56:30I always say I don't get notifications on
- 56:32my phone.
- 56:33YouTube does send me notifications.
- 56:34Most of the time, I don't read them.
- 56:36So I will get some from that.
- 56:38But nine times out of ten,
- 56:41I know that there's a new Hiller video
- 56:43or knew that there was a new Hiller
- 56:44video on YouTube because he made a post
- 56:46about it on Instagram.
- 56:48So now I just got to go somewhere
- 56:50different.
- 56:51It's really not that hard to do.
- 56:55It's just not...
- 56:58Thanks, Yvonne.
- 56:59What's up?
- 56:59Clydesdale's joining No Rep TV.
- 57:02Listen, to me,
- 57:04everything's on the table at all times.
- 57:07I have no allegiance to YouTube,
- 57:09but I'm not doing this to make a
- 57:11ton of money.
- 57:12I am close to retirement on my job.
- 57:15I'm just trying to have fun with it
- 57:17until I get there.
- 57:20I don't know if I'm right for what
- 57:21No Rep TV is going to be.
- 57:22I don't know what the vision for No
- 57:24Rep TV is going to be.
- 57:26I don't think this show would be on
- 57:28No Rep TV by any stretch of the
- 57:30imagination.
- 57:31Yeah,
- 57:32I don't think this show in its current
- 57:33format, which is lack of format.
- 57:36Which is no format.
- 57:37Would fit with what they're trying to
- 57:39accomplish over there.
- 57:41Does that make us the Seinfeld of lunch
- 57:43shows?
- 57:43Because it's a show about nothing?
- 57:46Yeah.
- 57:47Now, the Sunday show, I think,
- 57:49aligns with... The Sunday show, for sure.
- 57:53With what he's doing.
- 57:54And it has way more following,
- 57:58way better numbers than this show,
- 58:00and is probably better equipped to move
- 58:03over to No Rep TV.
- 58:05If we...
- 58:07But I would not make that decision
- 58:08exclusively even though I own all of this.
- 58:12I would talk to my people and see
- 58:16if that's something that we were all
- 58:18willing to do.
- 58:19Right.
- 58:21It's a whole different relationship at
- 58:22that point.
- 58:25But it's wild to me that people have
- 58:29those thoughts because you're basically
- 58:32rooting for him to fail in my estimation
- 58:35by saying, whoa.
- 58:38CrossFit needs Hiller.
- 58:39No, they don't.
- 58:41They need to get out of their own
- 58:42way.
- 58:44Basically,
- 58:44they need to quit shooting themselves in
- 58:45the foot.
- 58:46Or Hiller's going to take views away from
- 58:48everybody else.
- 58:50No, he's not.
- 58:51Be better at your job if that's what
- 58:54you consider your job to be.
- 58:57It's stupid to think that just because
- 58:58he's going to go on his own platform,
- 58:59are you going to just stop watching with
- 59:02the stuff you were watching and just be
- 59:03on his?
- 59:03There's nine videos on there right now.
- 59:06Or eleven, whatever it was.
- 59:08It's not a whole lot.
- 59:09You're just going to spend your time.
- 59:11It would take three hours to watch
- 59:13everything that's on TV right now.
- 59:16And he's going to put some more stuff
- 59:17back on and he's got all his raw
- 59:19footage and maybe he'll do it again.
- 59:20Maybe he won't.
- 59:21Maybe he'll just continue making new ones
- 59:23from there.
- 59:23But that is such a stupid way to
- 59:26look at stuff that he's just going to
- 59:28take stuff away from other people.
- 59:30No, he's not.
- 59:33I mean,
- 59:34there's a lot of cool things about what
- 59:35he's doing.
- 59:36There is no algorithm.
- 59:39You just go look at what you want
- 59:41instead of being told this is what you
- 59:42should watch.
- 59:45It has a dislike button so you can
- 59:47give feedback on the videos.
- 59:49It's got a report button that reports
- 59:50directly to Andrew.
- 59:53That's my favorite thing he says.
- 59:56Who does the report thing go to?
- 59:58Me.
- 59:59The thing that got me was...
- 1:00:02intrigued is having creator contests with
- 1:00:07a leaderboard and the top performing
- 1:00:12creators could apply to be a paid creator
- 1:00:18on the channel absolutely like that is a
- 1:00:24that is a concept that I think is
- 1:00:28pretty cool absolutely
- 1:00:33Because the more diverse creators we get
- 1:00:38out in there with some spotlight,
- 1:00:41the better it is for the fitness industry
- 1:00:44as a whole.
- 1:00:45Sure.
- 1:00:51um jacqueline's talking about censorship i
- 1:00:54think that's what i think that's what
- 1:00:56hillary's trying to avoid by creating his
- 1:00:59own thing yeah it really reduces the
- 1:01:03ability for people to censor him well if
- 1:01:05it's your own platform you can say
- 1:01:06whatever the hell you want now you're
- 1:01:11talking legal things right now
- 1:01:14that's the only thing he would be
- 1:01:16restricted by right i mean within the
- 1:01:18balance of free speech you can say
- 1:01:20whatever the heck you want it's on your
- 1:01:22platform you can do literally like this is
- 1:01:25not your this is your platform but it's
- 1:01:27not your platform right we still have to
- 1:01:30go within the in the in the the
- 1:01:32broad guidelines that is youtube right
- 1:01:36like this is not my platform this is
- 1:01:39stream yards platform this is youtube's
- 1:01:41platform right
- 1:01:43This is our show.
- 1:01:45Unless they take it hostage too, which...
- 1:01:49Unless CBS comes back by.
- 1:01:50I'm not going to let that go.
- 1:01:58Just not.
- 1:01:58Yeah,
- 1:01:59CBS giving me a copyright strike was wild.
- 1:02:04It wasn't even a strike.
- 1:02:05They just said like, we can use it.
- 1:02:08We just can't monetize it.
- 1:02:11This is not going to monetize it,
- 1:02:12which is...
- 1:02:14on it.
- 1:02:15There goes that three dollars out the
- 1:02:17window.
- 1:02:19You know,
- 1:02:20every time I do yay sports with the
- 1:02:22Glintons,
- 1:02:23I just know the next day we're getting
- 1:02:25a copyright strike.
- 1:02:25Oh, God, yeah.
- 1:02:28I shouldn't call it a strike.
- 1:02:30We get a copyright notice.
- 1:02:32You cannot monetize this episode.
- 1:02:34Right, because you did XYZ.
- 1:02:36Yeah.
- 1:02:37You talked about sports,
- 1:02:39you son of a bitch.
- 1:02:41It's not what we talk about.
- 1:02:42It's what
- 1:02:44what we show it's whatever clip yeah
- 1:02:46whatever clip you pull up geez it's just
- 1:02:50wild but um you know what the main
- 1:02:52thing is though is that you get knocked
- 1:02:54down you do that again man i'm gonna
- 1:02:57drive down to freaking louisiana every
- 1:03:00time i get that song out of my
- 1:03:03head you send me a clip with it
- 1:03:05on the soundtrack i am literally dude i
- 1:03:08am much bigger than you
- 1:03:12And when we see and meet you in
- 1:03:14person again,
- 1:03:14I may kick the shit out of you.
- 1:03:19Look, the one I sent this morning,
- 1:03:22the series of various memes or whatever,
- 1:03:25That was completely unprompted.
- 1:03:27That just showed up.
- 1:03:28And I was like, holy.
- 1:03:30It shows up because you keep saving them
- 1:03:33and sending them to me.
- 1:03:34I didn't save that one.
- 1:03:35That was a brand new post.
- 1:03:38Oh, my word.
- 1:03:39God, that was good.
- 1:03:40Hold up, man.
- 1:03:41The IG algorithm is going, man,
- 1:03:43this dude must love Chumbawamba.
- 1:03:46Clearly, he loves Chumbawamba.
- 1:03:47And so they're just sending you more and
- 1:03:49more Chumbawamba shit.
- 1:03:52Hold up for a second.
- 1:03:55Meg,
- 1:03:57what exactly is going on that you're going
- 1:03:59to have to show to yourself tomorrow?
- 1:04:03What is so important that Meg needs to
- 1:04:05get on and fly solo?
- 1:04:08I am legitimately confused.
- 1:04:09There actually is something important.
- 1:04:11Tomorrow is fight for the fittest.
- 1:04:13Oh, little G is competing tomorrow.
- 1:04:16Yes.
- 1:04:17Come on, man.
- 1:04:18You're like,
- 1:04:20I'm not even in the group chat.
- 1:04:21And I know I am in a group
- 1:04:22chat.
- 1:04:23Um, I sent little G some money, um,
- 1:04:26uh, for support.
- 1:04:27Yeah, dude, I forgot about that.
- 1:04:30Shows who's the bigger friend.
- 1:04:32It does.
- 1:04:32I'm terrible at shit like that.
- 1:04:34If it's not written down, dude, somewhere,
- 1:04:36I will one hundred percent forget about
- 1:04:37it.
- 1:04:38Meg, what time?
- 1:04:39Actually, I'll text y'all.
- 1:04:41Well, no,
- 1:04:41say what time so people can go watch
- 1:04:43it.
- 1:04:45Yeah,
- 1:04:45tomorrow on the Glinton Things podcast
- 1:04:47channel.
- 1:04:48At some point.
- 1:04:50Little G is competing at Fight for the
- 1:04:52Fittest.
- 1:04:53Yes.
- 1:04:54He was raising money for
- 1:04:58Breast cancer awareness, maybe?
- 1:05:00Let's go with that.
- 1:05:04And so he is doing the workout.
- 1:05:06Colleen will be his judge.
- 1:05:09And they are filming it.
- 1:05:10And it will be live on their channel.
- 1:05:12Yeah,
- 1:05:13they said he's been wearing himself out
- 1:05:16practicing and just training and getting
- 1:05:18ready for it.
- 1:05:19It's going to be awesome.
- 1:05:20Yeah, it was for breast cancer.
- 1:05:22And he's raised seven hundred dollars
- 1:05:24already.
- 1:05:25Or as Meg says, the tatas.
- 1:05:28Yeah.
- 1:05:29She's a woman of culture.
- 1:05:30She probably got a black shirt on today.
- 1:05:33She may or may not have showered.
- 1:05:34We're not real sure.
- 1:05:37Yeah.
- 1:05:37You know how the red shirts bring life
- 1:05:39to you,
- 1:05:40teaching you CrossFit and all the
- 1:05:41methodology?
- 1:05:43Meg is starting the black shirts to steal
- 1:05:45all that away.
- 1:05:47It's funny you mention that, dude.
- 1:05:48I'm in my...
- 1:05:49she's like the dementors from harry potter
- 1:05:53i am i am doing the online portion
- 1:05:55of my hybrid l-two right now so like
- 1:05:58it's been me and chuck carswell and
- 1:06:01everybody in the video's got a red shirt
- 1:06:03on it's wild to watch it's actually it's
- 1:06:07actually pretty pretty impressive it's
- 1:06:08it's uh it's fun stuff yeah retired save
- 1:06:13second base absolutely
- 1:06:17When I was a teenager,
- 1:06:18the bases confused me a lot, man.
- 1:06:21I didn't really care about the bases.
- 1:06:23One friend thought third base was this,
- 1:06:24but it should be the first base,
- 1:06:26and I got so confused.
- 1:06:28It was like, who's on Abbott and Costello?
- 1:06:30Abbott all day long.
- 1:06:31Who's on first?
- 1:06:32High school boy scoring.
- 1:06:35Honestly,
- 1:06:35I still don't really understand it.
- 1:06:41I was just happy to see a girl.
- 1:06:42The bases have rotted and are all mildewy,
- 1:06:45and they're in the shed in the back.
- 1:06:48They've been stepped on and beat up.
- 1:06:52Ricky Henderson stole most of them.
- 1:06:54It's fine, dude.
- 1:06:54No big deal.
- 1:06:56And Ricky would tell you that Ricky stole
- 1:06:58them all.
- 1:06:59Ricky would just like that.
- 1:07:00Yep.
- 1:07:05Anytime I'm scrolling through reels or
- 1:07:08shorts on Instagram, on,
- 1:07:10on YouTube or whatever.
- 1:07:11And so I've passed by somebody like some
- 1:07:15you know retired baseball great and they
- 1:07:16say that he's telling a ricky henderson
- 1:07:18story i stop immediately and check it out
- 1:07:22because it's some of the funniest you've
- 1:07:23ever heard in your entire life well after
- 1:07:26watch am i on mute nope okay after
- 1:07:29watching uh the glintons last night i
- 1:07:32really wanted to talk about this shane

- 1:07:39room to jazz me up i'm already jazzy
- 1:07:53Lunch with the Clydesdale Cowboy in the
- 1:07:54saddle.

- 1:08:03we cover it all.
