- 0:12Dayna Roselli: UNL Vino is set to celebrate its 50th anniversary with a grand tasting.
- 0:17Sean McAllister: The American Music Awards are moving to Vegas this year.
- 0:21Dayna Roselli: And after months of talking about it, we finally attend WrestleMania for the first time.
- 0:26Sean McAllister: All this and more coming up on Vegas Revealed.
- 0:31Sean McAllister: Vegas Revealed, presented by Galindo Law, starts now.
- 0:36Dayna Roselli: Welcome to Vegas Revealed.
- 0:38Dayna Roselli: I'm Dana Roselli along with Sean McAllister, and we are recording on a Monday.
- 0:43Dayna Roselli: And last night we went to WrestleMania 41.
- 0:47Dayna Roselli: Finally, after all the talk, all the interviews, we saw this thing in person.
- 0:52Dayna Roselli: And wow, I have so many people messaging me today, Sean, and saying that looks insane.
- 0:58Sean McAllister: I got that message from my mom, who I wasn't even expecting to pay any attention to WrestleMania.
- 1:04Sean McAllister: She was like, oh my gosh, is it really as wild as the video clips that I've seen?
- 1:09Dayna Roselli: It's crazy, right?
- 1:11Sean McAllister: The fans that come out, it's absolutely incredible.
- 1:15Sean McAllister: On night one of WrestleMania, there were something like 62,000 fans inside of Allegiance Stadium.
- 1:22Sean McAllister: Night two, the night we went, it was almost 64,000 fans, total sellouts.
- 1:27Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 1:28Dayna Roselli: I mean, and when you we were in the press box, so when you look down on that crowd, you can see from left to right and up and down, and it was there wasn't a seat in the house.
- 1:36Dayna Roselli: It was incredible.
- 1:38Sean McAllister: Well, and what's uh really kind of fun and wild is uh people obviously fans who are going know the ins and outs of WrestleMania and the characters that they're cheering for.
- 1:50Sean McAllister: Um, and when people start chanting at the same time, like they know the chant to do at specific times.
- 1:57Sean McAllister: It's crazy to hear the entire arena just erupting in that chant.
- 2:04Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it really is.
- 2:05Dayna Roselli: Like the walkouts and stuff.
- 2:06Dayna Roselli: I'm like, they know everything about every person, persona, you know, that's out there.
- 2:11Dayna Roselli: The stage was incredible too.
- 2:13Dayna Roselli: I mean, you know, that walkout.
- 2:15Dayna Roselli: And then where we were sitting, you could see like even the ground, like the what do you call it where you walk out?
- 2:20Sean McAllister: Like the runway.
- 2:21Dayna Roselli: The runway, yeah.
- 2:22Dayna Roselli: You could it said WrestleMania across it, you know, for the overhead shots.
- 2:25Dayna Roselli: And um, the ring looks so small from where we were, but um, you know, that's what it's like.
- 2:30Dayna Roselli: I went to a boxing event at T-Mobile and it was the same thing.
- 2:33Dayna Roselli: But anyway, I mean, set was incredible, and I just thought the fans were great.
- 2:37Dayna Roselli: Everyone was like calm and into it and fun and just there for a good time.
- 2:41Sean McAllister: How many people do you think we saw walking around with a a wrestling belt?
- 2:46Dayna Roselli: Yeah, tons.
- 2:47Sean McAllister: A championship belt.
- 2:48Dayna Roselli: So I guess that's a thing, right?
- 2:50Sean McAllister: Oh, it's totally a thing, yeah.
- 2:51Dayna Roselli: So it's like a thing that you buy, I guess, and it's part of your costuming or whatever.
- 2:56Sean McAllister: Yeah, now I didn't uh didn't stop to ask anyone about their belt, but uh my guess is that whenever they go to one of these major, whether it's WrestleMania or Monday Night Raw or SmackDown, maybe there are special souvenir belts that they make for these specific high-profile matchups, and that's what people bring.
- 3:20Sean McAllister: Kind of like uh putting a championship patch on your golden knights jersey.
- 3:24Dayna Roselli: Right, right.
- 3:24Sean McAllister: That kind of a deal.
- 3:25Dayna Roselli: Shows who you're for or whatever.
- 3:27Dayna Roselli: Yeah, you like you really liked this match and blah, blah, blah.
- 3:30Dayna Roselli: So we got to see the women, uh, the men, and it was all of it was very entertaining.
- 3:37Dayna Roselli: Uh, the the three-person match with the women was entertaining.
- 3:40Dayna Roselli: I was like, wow, I have never seen this in person before.
- 3:44Dayna Roselli: Um anyway, Allegiant Stadium was host, you know, obviously for the first time.
- 3:49Dayna Roselli: And this event being held in Las Vegas was such a huge deal.
- 3:53Dayna Roselli: We talked about it, what it meant for the economy in Las Vegas.
- 3:57Dayna Roselli: First of all, you know, Easter weekend usually kind of slow.
- 4:00Dayna Roselli: So that was great.
- 4:01Dayna Roselli: And, you know, the two nights at Allegiant Stadium, that wasn't it.
- 4:04Dayna Roselli: I mean, there was events.
- 4:06Sean McAllister: Friday night SmackDown at T-Mobile Arena, and then Monday Night Raw also at T-Mobile Arena.
- 4:14Sean McAllister: But here's the thing Monday Night Raw at T-Mobile is sandwiched between two Golden Knights Stanley Cup playoff games.
- 4:24Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 4:24Sean McAllister: So they had to have the ice ready uh Sunday night, then change over the arena for Monday Night Raw, and then change it back to the ice for Tuesday night's Golden Knights game.
- 4:38Sean McAllister: That's a lot of work.
- 4:39Sean McAllister: That's a lot of work, and I think all of the crews who are making that switchover happen deserve a championship belt themselves.
- 4:46Dayna Roselli: Yeah, seriously, that is a lot.
- 4:47Dayna Roselli: I mean, even just that stage alone.
- 4:49Dayna Roselli: Like, and I'm sure the one at Monday Night Raw will be just as, you know, fabulous that the rest imagine putting that up in like one day.
- 4:56Dayna Roselli: Man, in a few hours and making sure everything's good.
- 4:59Dayna Roselli: Um, you and I had interviewed Cody Rhodes, the American Nightmare, a while back.
- 5:03Dayna Roselli: We've posted a lot of our interviews with him and kind of broke them down.
- 5:07Dayna Roselli: And they've had a lot of traction.
- 5:08Dayna Roselli: Obviously, he was the undisputed WWE champion.
- 5:12Dayna Roselli: He did not take home the belt last night.
- 5:15Dayna Roselli: John Cena did.
- 5:17Sean McAllister: He did.
- 5:18Sean McAllister: We were a little upset.
- 5:19Sean McAllister: Yeah, but we Cody didn't retain his title.
- 5:22Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 5:22Dayna Roselli: We figured it would go that way.
- 5:23Dayna Roselli: You could kind of tell by the story that was developing, right?
- 5:26Dayna Roselli: We're like, but I thought maybe it would be like a surprise.
- 5:29Sean McAllister: Or maybe they could be co-champions.
- 5:31Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 5:31Dayna Roselli: But a lot of people seem happy about John Cena winning.
- 5:34Sean McAllister: Yeah, people were happy.
- 5:35Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's like his what 2025 is like his final year in WWE, I think.
- 5:39Sean McAllister: Yes, this was his final WrestleMania.
- 5:42Sean McAllister: Um, and he'll show up at a at matches throughout the rest of the year, but 2025 is it.
- 5:48Sean McAllister: And we did, as we were walking back to uh the car after the the match, I did overhear a fan behind us saying, Hey, where was the rock?
- 5:57Sean McAllister: Why didn't the rock show up in all this?
- 5:59Sean McAllister: Because he was instrumental in the the storyline of John Cena turning bad, I guess.
- 6:06Sean McAllister: And people were like, Oh, where's the rock?
- 6:08Sean McAllister: And someone else was like, Well, he probably had a scheduling conflict.
- 6:12Sean McAllister: It's like, no, you don't have a scheduling conflict with WrestleMania.
- 6:16Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 6:16Dayna Roselli: There must have been a reason, right?
- 6:18Sean McAllister: There had to have been a reason.
- 6:20Dayna Roselli: Well, and it was interesting because like as a woman, I like the the Cody Rhodes theatrics and costuming.
- 6:26Dayna Roselli: Like it's a whole thing.
- 6:27Dayna Roselli: And John Cena, I was like, all right, the jean shorts, like what's is maybe that's his shtick.
- 6:32Dayna Roselli: But I was like, eh.
- 6:33Sean McAllister: Well, did you see there is a sign that someone was holding up that said, just say no to jorts?
- 6:38Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 6:38Dayna Roselli: I was like, I don't know what's going on here.
- 6:40Dayna Roselli: But that so that's like the female non-WrestleMania fan, haven't followed the story kind of take.
- 6:47Dayna Roselli: But you know, Cody was great.
- 6:49Dayna Roselli: You know, he's always got the best outfits, the music, the whole nine.
- 6:53Dayna Roselli: There were fireworks.
- 6:54Dayna Roselli: Um, so it was a lot of fun to watch this go down.
- 6:57Dayna Roselli: And what Travis Scott came out in the middle and like interrupted.
- 7:02Dayna Roselli: And then um earlier in the night, uh, what's his name?
- 7:05Dayna Roselli: Jake Paul decided he was gonna come out and do a match.
- 7:09Sean McAllister: Yeah, he had a matchup.
- 7:10Dayna Roselli: And I didn't realize he was part of WrestleMania, and you were kind of saying, well, it's like not really, but like you can take on a match.
- 7:16Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 7:16Sean McAllister: He's wrestled a couple times.
- 7:18Sean McAllister: Right.
- 7:18Sean McAllister: Um, this is what I I gathered through having conversation with with people who like follow, follow wrestling.
- 7:27Sean McAllister: Um, that he's only had a couple matches, but they say that he's super athletic and really good in the ring, which is what we saw.
- 7:34Sean McAllister: I mean, we saw him do like a a backflip off the off the ropes and then take the guy out as he landed.
- 7:42Sean McAllister: And I heard people say they were like, wow, he actually landed that perfectly.
- 7:46Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 7:47Dayna Roselli: Well, yeah, it was interesting.
- 7:50Dayna Roselli: We enjoyed it.
- 7:50Dayna Roselli: I thought, I mean, this is perfect for Vegas, right?
- 7:53Dayna Roselli: Oh, just everything about it.
- 7:55Sean McAllister: Yes, I get that they have to travel around with WrestleMania to, you know, give their fan base access in different parts of the country, but having uh Vegas, I don't know, every every year, every well not every year, but every other year or every five years or something, just having a regular rotation, clearly the fans showed up.
- 8:19Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that's true, it's true.
- 8:21Dayna Roselli: And and it's in a nice that it's an in you know an indoor stadium.
- 8:24Dayna Roselli: So you know, that's nice.
- 8:26Dayna Roselli: Because I think when we talked to Cody, he said that the Philadelphia one the year before wasn't.
- 8:30Sean McAllister: Uh I believe that was open or something.
- 8:33Sean McAllister: Yeah, I believe that was open air.
- 8:34Sean McAllister: Something like that.
- 8:35Dayna Roselli: Um so you know, you gotta deal with the elements, which could make it fun too.
- 8:39Sean McAllister: But uh Yeah, I did hear uh I was listening to the Golden Knights game on the radio on the way home, and even the announcers, it was the the Minnesota Wild announcers who were on the radio, and they were talking about they were like, man, I just cannot believe the amount of WrestleMania fans who are in Vegas this week.
- 9:00Sean McAllister: They're like, everywhere you go, it's WrestleMania.
- 9:02Sean McAllister: This you see people in costumes, in wigs, in the robes, their belts.
- 9:08Sean McAllister: It WrestleMania totally took over.
- 9:10Dayna Roselli: It did.
- 9:11Dayna Roselli: It was insane.
- 9:12Dayna Roselli: I live near the convention center and it was packed all weekend over there.
- 9:15Dayna Roselli: So everywhere you went, you know, and hey, we'll take it.
- 9:18Dayna Roselli: It's great.
- 9:19Dayna Roselli: And like I said, I felt like the WrestleMania fans were into it, but very fun and like I don't want to say calm, but you know, but not a rowdy bunch.
- 9:29Dayna Roselli: Not a rowdy bunch, because you know, you hear all the things that a lot of times like Raiders fans, you know, they can be a little cornery, but um, you know, it's different kind of thing.
- 9:37Dayna Roselli: It's football and all that.
- 9:38Dayna Roselli: But yeah, so I thought it was really, really cool.
- 9:41Dayna Roselli: We were laughing when the final match started and the music went on.
- 9:46Dayna Roselli: We were so high up we could see like the concessions lower lower than us, and everyone started running to their seats.
- 9:54Dayna Roselli: Like literally, I've never seen anything like it, like scattering and running in all different directions.
- 9:59Sean McAllister: Scurrying because they they were like, Oh my gosh, the main event's happening now.
- 10:02Sean McAllister: I have to get back to see it.
- 10:04Sean McAllister: It was it was funny seeing people right maneuvering to get back for all the action.
- 10:10Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh, so funny.
- 10:11Dayna Roselli: Hey, big shout out to the WrestleMania, or I should say WWE marketing and publicists, that whole crew, they through the last six months leading up to this have been so responsive and on it and helpful and just loved working with them.
- 10:27Sean McAllister: Yeah, they really have been been wonderful to work with, and I hope that it becomes a a regular thing.
- 10:34Sean McAllister: Yeah, that we see WrestleMania here.
- 10:36Sean McAllister: And who knows, maybe the the the blimp will come back too.
- 10:40Sean McAllister: Yeah, that we've seen that flying in our skies for the past several days, too.
- 10:44Dayna Roselli: The Good Year Blimp, a classic, right?
- 10:48Dayna Roselli: Hey, the American Music Awards are coming uh to Las Vegas, so this is our next big, big event on May 26th, and this is a first.
- 10:55Sean McAllister: It is.
- 10:56Sean McAllister: The American Music Awards, you know, celebrate all things music.
- 11:01Sean McAllister: Oh, we usually held over Memorial Day weekend.
- 11:04Sean McAllister: Uh this year, they're being held here in Las Vegas.
- 11:08Sean McAllister: The details are uh still emerging about uh everything involved, but we know that it's happening, and hosting uh the award ceremony this year is Jennifer Lopez, who had a Vegas residency here for years over at Planet Hollywood.
- 11:24Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and got married here.
- 11:25Sean McAllister: And got married here.
- 11:27Sean McAllister: That's right.
- 11:28Dayna Roselli: Remember that?
- 11:28Dayna Roselli: Yeah, the quickie.
- 11:30Dayna Roselli: Um yeah, so it's gonna be held on Memorial Day, May 26th this year, that Monday.
- 11:35Dayna Roselli: We were just looking it up, so it does run live, so it'll be on 5 p.m.
- 11:39Dayna Roselli: Pacific time.
- 11:40Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 11:40Dayna Roselli: Um, we don't know the location yet, but hopefully we'll find out any day now.
- 11:45Dayna Roselli: And look forward to covering it.
- 11:47Dayna Roselli: I'm excited to have all these people in town.
- 11:50Dayna Roselli: It's really gonna pile on the crowds for Memorial Day weekend, though, huh?
- 11:54Sean McAllister: Oh my gosh, yeah, which is usually which is historically a busy weekend anyway.
- 12:00Sean McAllister: And to have a major award show here is going to be it's gonna be great.
- 12:05Sean McAllister: And I wonder if they're capitalizing on the fact that we probably do have so many artists in town for shows on Memorial Day weekend, anyhow, yeah, that it would be easy for them just to bop over to the American Music Awards and make appearances there, too.
- 12:21Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 12:21Dayna Roselli: True.
- 12:22Dayna Roselli: And they get to utilize this outside of the sphere, I feel like.
- 12:25Dayna Roselli: I don't know if that's happening, but I feel like everyone likes the look of the sphere.
- 12:29Sean McAllister: Well, you got to.
- 12:30Sean McAllister: If you have that aerial shot, yeah, I mean the sphere better be winking at you or throwing its logo at you or something.
- 12:38Dayna Roselli: Yeah, something like that.
- 12:39Dayna Roselli: Too funny.
- 12:40Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so we'll be covering that.
- 12:41Dayna Roselli: We look forward to it.
- 12:42Dayna Roselli: Again, it's uh May 26th here in Las Vegas.
- 12:45Dayna Roselli: We'll let you know where it's gonna be if you want to spot some stars or I don't know if they let crowds gather around the red carpet.
- 12:51Dayna Roselli: Um, because I've only done well, I because they've never had it here.
- 12:53Dayna Roselli: I guess I'm just used to the Billboard Music Awards.
- 12:55Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 12:56Dayna Roselli: It's usually kind of in the back of MGM grand whenever they do it.
- 12:59Dayna Roselli: A little hard to access or find, not out there on the strip or anything.
- 13:03Sean McAllister: Yeah, uh sometimes they have a small area where fans can gather kind of at the end of the red carpet, but it's definitely not room for a lot of people by any means.
- 13:15Sean McAllister: So I don't think that they really encourage people to come out and try and see their favorite stars.
- 13:22Dayna Roselli: Well, we have like so many, you know, singers now that own restaurants here too.
- 13:25Dayna Roselli: So Jason Aldean and Blake Shelton, and so it'll be interesting to see.
- 13:30Dayna Roselli: And they're all gonna have probably great parties and it's business for them.
- 13:33Dayna Roselli: So should be fun.
- 13:34Dayna Roselli: We'll keep you posted on that.
- 13:36Dayna Roselli: And hey, uh shout out to Galindo Law, our presenting sponsor.
- 13:40Dayna Roselli: If your Texas home has been damaged by hail or hurricane in the past, two years, Galindo Law may be able to help you get more insurance compensation, and you can call them at 800-251-1533, or you can go to Galindolaw.com.
- 13:55Sean McAllister: Yeah, don't risk losing money that you may be owed.
- 13:58Sean McAllister: Contact Galindo Law for a free insurance claim review to see if you may be owed more compensation.
- 14:06Sean McAllister: Again, the number is 800-251-1533, or you can find them online at galindolaw.com.
- 14:15Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so spread the word if you live in Texas.
- 14:18Dayna Roselli: We know we have a lot of listeners there.
- 14:20Dayna Roselli: If you know anyone, if you have family there, who doesn't want more compensation?
- 14:23Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
- 14:24Dayna Roselli: Whatever you deserve.
- 14:26Sean McAllister: Let's move on to food news now, Dana.
- 14:29Sean McAllister: For the first time, uh Palms is hosting a culinary weekend.
- 14:34Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 14:35Dayna Roselli: We talked about Unstripped being moved there, and that is, you know, a lot of chefs coming together for a really fun food festival, but now they've made a whole weekend out of it.
- 14:44Dayna Roselli: And it's coming up when our podcast drops uh on a Thursday.
- 14:47Dayna Roselli: It's this upcoming weekend, so keep that in mind.
- 14:50Sean McAllister: Uh Sunday, April 27th, is the Vegas Unstripped after party.
- 14:57Sean McAllister: They're having that up at Ghost Bar.
- 14:59Sean McAllister: Right.
- 15:00Sean McAllister: So they're fully kind of doing a food takeover of Palms.
- 15:03Sean McAllister: Unstripped is happening.
- 15:05Sean McAllister: Plus, Palms is utilizing its own chefs who have restaurants on property to do their own activations.
- 15:13Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 15:13Dayna Roselli: They've got a great schedule of things happening.
- 15:16Dayna Roselli: Um, it starts April 25th, then 26th, 27th, there'll be, you know, showcase experiences, chefs, creative, elevated offerings, a lot of different activations.
- 15:27Dayna Roselli: So it sounds like it'll be really fun.
- 15:29Dayna Roselli: You can go to the Palms website for more information.
- 15:31Dayna Roselli: And then Vegas Unstripped, like Sean said, is Sunday the 27th.
- 15:36Dayna Roselli: That's all day, then the after party at Ghost Bar.
- 15:38Dayna Roselli: Also um at Ghost Bar on Sunday the 27th.
- 15:42Dayna Roselli: I thought this was fun.
- 15:43Dayna Roselli: They're doing a Mai Thai competition.
- 15:45Dayna Roselli: Local bartenders will face off for the title of Best Mai Thai in a lively competition featuring tastings, judging, and tropical vibes.
- 15:54Dayna Roselli: So that sounds like a lot of fun too.
- 15:55Dayna Roselli: I mean, I hear about cocktail competitions, but like not specifically Mai Thai.
- 15:59Sean McAllister: Specifically the Mai Thai.
- 16:00Sean McAllister: I love a good Mai Thai.
- 16:01Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 16:02Sean McAllister: Especially when my feet are in the sand and the and the ocean surf is bubbling up.
- 16:10Dayna Roselli: Well, you know, might not be exactly that, but not exactly that.
- 16:13Dayna Roselli: You could take the recipe and make it there once you get to the sand.
- 16:16Sean McAllister: But you can take a sip and you can mentally go there.
- 16:19Dayna Roselli: Right, right.
- 16:20Dayna Roselli: Um, yeah, Vegas Unstripped is great.
- 16:22Dayna Roselli: A lot of, you know, it features a lot of off-the-strip chefs, which we have so many fabulous restaurants off the strip.
- 16:28Dayna Roselli: I don't even know if people realize, but some of the best.
- 16:31Dayna Roselli: So you'll want to go to this and be able to try stuff.
- 16:34Dayna Roselli: Um, bartenders, chefs, all of it.
- 16:37Dayna Roselli: Sounds like a great time out there by the Palms Pool, which is a nice area as well.
- 16:41Dayna Roselli: So if you get a chance, head over maybe for some of the activities or at least Vegas Unstripped.
- 16:47Sean McAllister: Hey, how about we do some tips?
- 16:49Dayna Roselli: Let's do it.
- 16:52Sean McAllister: You know, we talk a lot about all of these events that happen on the strip.
- 16:57Sean McAllister: Obviously, we cover off strip happenings as well.
- 17:00Sean McAllister: But um, one thing that happens every single year and has for the past 50 years is an event that really uh gives culinary students at UNLV hands-on experience with not only planning, but actually uh executing and working at a major culinary event here in Las Vegas.
- 17:25Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and so you're supporting them and going to what they're they've organized and put together, but you're also able to just have a great time and have tastings.
- 17:34Dayna Roselli: It's a wine and food event, and it's it is grand when they call it the grand tasting.
- 17:38Dayna Roselli: There's a lot of people there, it's a great event.
- 17:40Sean McAllister: Yeah, it's called UNL Vino.
- 17:42Sean McAllister: Um, like we said, it's an annual event.
- 17:45Sean McAllister: It's coming up.
- 17:46Sean McAllister: The Grand Tasting is coming up on Friday, May 2nd.
- 17:50Sean McAllister: This happens over at the Thomas and Mac Center.
- 17:52Sean McAllister: That's the big arena over on the UNLV campus.
- 17:55Sean McAllister: Um, and it really is just such uh it's an amazing event.
- 18:00Sean McAllister: And seeing the students who have worked so hard to put it all together and to make sure that the next generation of hospitality workers here in Las Vegas are just gonna be top-notch.
- 18:15Sean McAllister: Yeah, that's the point of all of this.
- 18:17Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 18:17Dayna Roselli: And it helps provide millions in scholarships to the UNLV Hera College of Hospitality.
- 18:22Dayna Roselli: It's a really fun event.
- 18:24Dayna Roselli: So if you get a chance and you are in town Friday, May 2nd, the Grand Tasting is celebrating its 50th anniversary at the Thomas and Mac.
- 18:32Dayna Roselli: Get your tickets at unlveno.com.
- 18:36Sean McAllister: And that is a great event.
- 18:38Sean McAllister: I've been before, and it's absolutely worth going.
- 18:41Sean McAllister: Uh, someplace else is going to be definitely worth going to is the water park, especially as our temperatures continue to rise as we creep toward the summer months here in Las Vegas.
- 18:52Sean McAllister: And we've got a couple great water parks.
- 18:54Dayna Roselli: We do, not just one, right?
- 18:55Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 18:56Dayna Roselli: And people always ask us, talk about more family events on the podcast.
- 18:59Dayna Roselli: So here's one, or family events, family attractions, I guess I should say.
- 19:02Dayna Roselli: Uh Cowabunga Bay in Henderson, and then Cowabunga Bay in Summerlin.
- 19:06Dayna Roselli: We have two water parks and they are opening for the season.
- 19:10Dayna Roselli: The Henderson one specifically is opening, I think, first.
- 19:14Dayna Roselli: And just the weekends for now, because even though the weather does feel very water parky, it's not quite summer yet.
- 19:21Dayna Roselli: So the weekends, then a little bit later in May, they're going to open for their daily schedule.
- 19:25Dayna Roselli: Operations will start.
- 19:26Dayna Roselli: I think it's May 23rd.
- 19:27Dayna Roselli: But yeah, these water parks are great.
- 19:29Dayna Roselli: Actually, rated the number three best outdoor water park by USA Today.
- 19:33Dayna Roselli: So if you love your water slides and your lazy rivers.
- 19:36Sean McAllister: Well, in there, I've driven, I have I have not been to the Henderson uh water park before, but I have driven by it, and they have this big slide that looks like a funnel.
- 19:51Sean McAllister: And I think you get spit out, I think you ride in a tube in it, and you get spit out into this big funnel, and you get, you know, all agitated around in there before you get dumped out into the pool down below.
- 20:05Sean McAllister: But they do have some really inventive, creative attractions.
- 20:10Sean McAllister: They do.
- 20:11Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 20:11Dayna Roselli: And I mean, I used to love water parks as a kid.
- 20:14Dayna Roselli: Loved, loved, loved.
- 20:14Dayna Roselli: Used to go to one at Darien Lake.
- 20:16Dayna Roselli: Darian Lake.
- 20:16Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it was great.
- 20:17Sean McAllister: Back in New York.
- 20:18Dayna Roselli: Well, this Henderson one has 25 water attractions, more than 25, including Towering Slides, a giant wave pool, and the Kawabunga Lazy River.
- 20:28Dayna Roselli: So perfect way to enjoy.
- 20:30Dayna Roselli: Uh, you know, uh, parents can go, brother, sister, everyone can go.
- 20:34Dayna Roselli: It's a whole family thing.
- 20:35Dayna Roselli: And I think um, I think we would mention it on the TV show and so that they're now serving up uh Pink's hot dogs over there, too.
- 20:41Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 20:42Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 20:42Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 20:42Sean McAllister: Famous in Hollywood.
- 20:44Sean McAllister: Right.
- 20:44Sean McAllister: And uh now here at Cowabunga Bay.
- 20:48Dayna Roselli: So um, as I mentioned, don't know the specifics of the Summerland one, but it's opening soon too on the weekend.
- 20:54Dayna Roselli: So just go to you can get information on both at kawabungavegas.com.
- 20:59Dayna Roselli: You can click on either location and it gives you all the dates and that kind of thing.
- 21:03Dayna Roselli: But look forward to having them back.
- 21:04Dayna Roselli: And yes, we do have things in Las Vegas for families and ways to cool off other than just the strip hotel pools.
