- Lucas: Hey Luna, welcome back to another episode of Learn Spanish with Fexingo. Luna: Hey Lucas, I'm ready for today's little adventure. Lucas: Great. So we've talked about a lot of park stuff before, but today we're focusing on something very specific. Luna: Ooh, what is it? Lucas: The playground ladder. You know, those ladders you climb up to get to the slide. Luna: Oh, I love those. Kids go up and down all day. Lucas: Exactly. So our first word is 'la escalera' — the ladder. Luna: La escalera. The ladder. Got it. Lucas: Let's say it together: la escalera. Luna: La escalera. Lucas: Perfect. Now, what do you do on a ladder? You climb it. In Spanish, that's 'subir la escalera'. Luna: Subir la escalera. To climb the ladder. Lucas: Yes. So if you're at the park, you might say 'Voy a subir la escalera' — I'm going to climb the ladder. Luna: Voy a subir la escalera. That sounds good. Lucas: And then, of course, you have to come down. That's 'bajar la escalera'. Luna: Bajar la escalera. To go down the ladder. Lucas: Right. And you want to be careful. So you might tell a child, 'Ten cuidado' — be careful. Luna: Ten cuidado. Be careful. That's really useful. Lucas: And maybe you ask, '¿Estás listo?' — Are you ready? Luna: ¿Estás listo? Are you ready? I like that one. Lucas: Let's practice all five phrases. First, la escalera. Luna: La escalera. Lucas: Subir la escalera. Luna: Subir la escalera. Lucas: Bajar la escalera. Luna: Bajar la escalera. Lucas: Tener cuidado. Luna: Tener cuidado. Lucas: And ¿Estás listo? Luna: ¿Estás listo? Lucas: Excellent. Now let's put them in a tiny scene. Imagine you're at the park with a little one. Luna: Okay, I'm there. Lucas: You point to the ladder and say, 'Mira, la escalera.' Luna: Mira, la escalera. Look, the ladder. Lucas: Then you say, '¿Estás listo para subir la escalera?' Luna: ¿Estás listo para subir la escalera? Are you ready to climb the ladder? Lucas: And you add, 'Ten cuidado.' Luna: Ten cuidado. Be careful. Lucas: Perfect. Now, let's talk about the other side — coming down. 'Ahora vamos a bajar la escalera.' Luna: Ahora vamos a bajar la escalera. Now we're going to go down the ladder. Lucas: That's right. You're getting the hang of it. Luna: Thanks, Lucas. This feels so practical. I can actually use this at the playground. Lucas: Absolutely. And that's what we love at Fexingo — helping you use Spanish in real life. Luna: Yeah, we keep it small and useful, so it sticks. Lucas: And speaking of keeping it going, we're a small show. Luna: Bajar. Lucas: Ten cuidado. Luna: Ten cuidado. Lucas: ¿Estás listo? Luna: ¿Estás listo? Lucas: Now, a little challenge for you. How would you say, 'I'm going to climb the ladder'? Luna: Voy a subir la escalera. Lucas: Perfect. And 'Be careful'? Luna: Ten cuidado. Lucas: And 'Are you ready?' Luna: ¿Estás listo? Lucas: You nailed it. Great job today. Luna: This was fun. I feel like I can actually have a little chat at the playground now. Lucas: That's the goal. Keep practicing these phrases, and they'll become second nature. Luna: See you next time, everyone. Lucas: Bye for now.
