- 1:04Speaker 2: Sick. I'm all, I'm all twins geared out. Yeah you are,
- 1:08Speaker 2: Yeah you are.
- 1:09Speaker 3: It was fun. It was a fun, beautiful day. I
- 1:11Speaker 3: got to see a Twins win. We beat the best
- 1:15Speaker 3: team in baseball today and we won the series against
- 1:19Speaker 3: them against the Philadelphia Phillies.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Oh, I thought the Yankees were the best team.
- 1:24Speaker 3: They're the best in the ALTA Phillies are the best
- 1:29Speaker 3: overall cool's I got to see Bryce Harper, who's gonna
- 1:33Speaker 3: go probably in the Hall of Fame at.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Some point, so absolutely that this was.
- 1:37Speaker 3: His first time ever playing at target Field.
- 1:40Speaker 2: That's fun.
- 1:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I was really glad. I went and our good
- 1:45Speaker 3: friend Ben Haley as a Phillies fans, so I got
- 1:47Speaker 3: to send him text throughout fun and sucker we won't.
- 1:53Speaker 3: There were so many Phillies fans there and it was annoying.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I get that.
- 2:00Speaker 3: It's cool though. I mean it's cool that they travel,
- 2:04Speaker 3: you know.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Yeah, that is pretty neat. That's neat. I was like that,
- 2:08Speaker 2: especially if they're like cool. Yeah, which okay arguable. I
- 2:14Speaker 2: was glad we won. I got the walk off. It
- 2:17Speaker 2: was fun and we got to hang out a bunch
- 2:20Speaker 2: this last weekend, which we do.
- 2:22Speaker 3: We absolutely did a lot of stuff. We went and
- 2:24Speaker 3: saw a movie that I'm going to talk about right now.
- 2:28Speaker 2: I just get into it. Get into it, baby.
- 2:31Speaker 3: The movie that we saw was Twisters.
- 2:35Speaker 2: I should just talk about that too. Why am I not?
- 2:37Speaker 2: Just why wouldn't you talk about it? We sat together,
- 2:40Speaker 2: I'm gonna do that, do that. So, yeah, we started off.
- 2:45Speaker 3: A great ink and uh seeing Twisters opening night Thursday night.
- 2:51Speaker 3: Hell yeah, and we had so much fun. We got
- 2:56Speaker 3: some jump scares in there.
- 2:59Speaker 2: There was more.
- 3:00Speaker 3: One big jump scare really made Bugs freak out and
- 3:03Speaker 3: kicked the guy in front of him.
- 3:06Speaker 2: We have told this story to our patron's patroon dot
- 3:10Speaker 2: com slash the Abb endorsement if you ever want to
- 3:12Speaker 2: hear stuff early. But we got like a magnet thing
- 3:17Speaker 2: and it was in a very nice plastic wrap and
- 3:20Speaker 2: I placed it on the ground and then I was
- 3:23Speaker 2: like trying to get re situated once the movie had started,
- 3:26Speaker 2: and I planted my foot on the ground to support
- 3:30Speaker 2: my heft. And what happened was it slipped right on
- 3:34Speaker 2: that plastic and I kicked the out of the chair.
- 3:39Speaker 2: The guy in front of me like, I it so hard.
- 3:43Speaker 3: He kicked it so hard.
- 3:44Speaker 2: I was dying laughing. His Bugs is immediately like, I'm
- 3:48Speaker 2: so sorry, I'm so sorry, it's been laughing so hard.
- 3:51Speaker 2: But I was. I was like, I kicked it so hard.
- 3:55Speaker 2: I was scared he was going to be mad, like
- 3:57Speaker 2: and I wanted to make it just so clear that
- 4:00Speaker 2: I didn't mean to do that. Like this guy was terrified.
- 4:04Speaker 3: His arms went up in the air because I mean,
- 4:07Speaker 3: he kicked him in the back of his ears so hard.
- 4:10Speaker 2: I don't think I could have kicked it any harder
- 4:12Speaker 2: than I did, to be honest.
- 4:14Speaker 3: It was amazing.
- 4:15Speaker 2: And every day is leg day when you're a chubbyman,
- 4:18Speaker 2: and so like I pack a wallup, you know, like
- 4:23Speaker 2: these calves they could have destroyed that poor man's chair man.
- 4:27Speaker 3: It it made me laugh so hard.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Long and short guy was cool, super awesome about it.
- 4:33Speaker 2: We've been chatted afterward and it was it was fun.
- 4:36Speaker 2: He was cool, and it didn't ruin anything for Anyboddy
- 4:40Speaker 2: and we just were laughing.
- 4:43Speaker 3: Away, laughing, and then I would think about it later
- 4:46Speaker 3: on and like slow parts and I would laugh out
- 4:48Speaker 3: of nowhere and it was just we got a new
- 4:51Speaker 3: theater story.
- 4:52Speaker 2: It's fun. And both Rob and Dave because we went
- 4:55Speaker 2: with our buddy Dave, and they both, you know, they
- 4:57Speaker 2: don't know that I slipped. They just see me just
- 5:00Speaker 2: like full bore, kick the hell support. They're like, what happened? Yeah.
- 5:06Speaker 3: Dave afterwards was like, so is he like texting or.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Something or something else? Is that how you think I
- 5:12Speaker 2: would react to that? That's pretty great. I mean I
- 5:17Speaker 2: definitely say something I am that old man. Now you
- 5:20Speaker 2: put it away next, Let's thanks, babe. I can see
- 5:24Speaker 2: I get it an occasional glance. I understand. I don't
- 5:27Speaker 2: support that, but I get we got stuff.
- 5:29Speaker 3: I understand that stuff people.
- 5:30Speaker 2: But sometimes people will be like and when they don't
- 5:33Speaker 2: dim the screen, Rob the Karen really comes out in
- 5:36Speaker 2: me when they don't at least dim the screen, like
- 5:38Speaker 2: you got to dim the screen, like, for God's sakes,
- 5:42Speaker 2: live in a society, come.
- 5:43Speaker 3: On, come on, there are rules. But it was a
- 5:49Speaker 3: lovely Twisters experience. I liked it way more than I
- 5:52Speaker 3: thought I was going to, which was really fun. To
- 5:55Speaker 3: be fair, expectations real low going into this. I just
- 6:00Speaker 3: wanted to kind of hang out with some dudes and
- 6:02Speaker 3: go and see a goofy movie, and it was actually
- 6:04Speaker 3: pretty great.
- 6:05Speaker 2: I sort of thought we'd be like that was stupid,
- 6:07Speaker 2: but it was. It was fun, and it ended up
- 6:10Speaker 2: being like, oh that was that was okay, and it
- 6:13Speaker 2: was fun.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Daisy Edgar Jones was awesome. I'm a big fan of her.
- 6:18Speaker 3: Glenn Powell has been killing it as of late. He
- 6:22Speaker 3: was great in that role.
- 6:24Speaker 2: I liked him a lot.
- 6:25Speaker 3: Anthony Ramos Ramos was solid, and then there were just
- 6:30Speaker 3: a bunch of really great supporting characters. CGI was fun,
- 6:35Speaker 3: that was all about it.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Yeah. I kind of thought they were gonna make Anthony
- 6:38Speaker 2: Ramos like kind of boring, but he didn't end up
- 6:41Speaker 2: being that way. He was fun, engaging just by the
- 6:44Speaker 2: previews and stuff. And I remembered more Tyranny's name. That
- 6:48Speaker 2: was fun.
- 6:49Speaker 3: Yeah for me, yep, I looked so different. I think
- 6:55Speaker 3: maybe maybe just the black hair that was different, but.
- 6:59Speaker 2: I had darker hair really threw me for sure.
- 7:01Speaker 3: Yeah, but anyway, yeah here, Yeah it was pretty great though, right,
- 7:05Speaker 3: You felt the same way.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I felt absolutely the same way. I had a
- 7:09Speaker 2: fantastic time, you know, Shenanigan's Decide. It was great. The
- 7:13Speaker 2: vibe was really fun in the theater, like everyone was
- 7:16Speaker 2: having a good time and you know, was into it.
- 7:19Speaker 2: And like you said, you got kind of a like
- 7:22Speaker 2: like some jump scary stuff and some like intense action
- 7:26Speaker 2: and then some pretty great CGI threw out, and and
- 7:29Speaker 2: a pretty good story, like a better story than I
- 7:32Speaker 2: thought we were gonna get for sure. Yeah, and I
- 7:35Speaker 2: thought I just thought their chemistry was really great between
- 7:38Speaker 2: the two of them, actually all three of the leads
- 7:41Speaker 2: I thought were really really good like you said, and
- 7:45Speaker 2: had fun moments you know, with each other. Really that
- 7:50Speaker 2: whole triangle like had moments with each other at various
- 7:53Speaker 2: points and was really good. So yeah, I liked it
- 7:56Speaker 2: a lot. I think they that was a win for sure. Yeah, uh,
- 8:00Speaker 2: for sure? Cool. How about were you streaming anything?
- 8:05Speaker 3: I've been streaming things so I I've been watching Receiver
- 8:10Speaker 3: on Netflix.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Oh how is it? I haven't started yet yet.
- 8:15Speaker 3: So for people who don't know, they came out with
- 8:17Speaker 3: Quarterback last year that I loved h and thought. I
- 8:21Speaker 3: checked this one out and it's been pretty fun. We
- 8:25Speaker 3: have another Minnesota Viking involved. Last time it was with
- 8:29Speaker 3: Kirk Cousins. Now we got Justin Jefferson in there, so
- 8:33Speaker 3: that's been fun.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Thumbs down and you didn't even move your hands.
- 8:38Speaker 3: I didn't.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Was that for Kirk?
- 8:41Speaker 3: Maybe every time I mentioned his name I made it
- 8:46Speaker 3: be a thumbs down on my screen. But yeah, it's
- 8:51Speaker 3: been fun seeing Justin Jefferson get his love. Yes, there's
- 8:56Speaker 3: a lot of them this year. They have five different
- 8:59Speaker 3: ones they focused on, so that's.
- 9:01Speaker 2: What I heard.
- 9:02Speaker 3: Jefferson, DeVante Adams, Amana, Saint Brown, Deebo Samuel, Deebo Samuel
- 9:08Speaker 3: and then the tight end George Kittle.
- 9:11Speaker 2: That's right, Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 9:13Speaker 3: And it was kind of a bummer of a year
- 9:15Speaker 3: for Jefferson because he was hurt for so much of it.
- 9:18Speaker 3: So I feel like he kind of got the short
- 9:21Speaker 3: end of the stick a little bit, which.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Is maybe why they did that, because they had what
- 9:26Speaker 2: was his name that got hurt in the quarterback one, marioda, Yes, yeah,
- 9:32Speaker 2: and they just kind of couldn't do a lot, right,
- 9:35Speaker 2: So I wonder if that's part of the reason they
- 9:38Speaker 2: were like, let's get more people and then we're more
- 9:40Speaker 2: likely to get some storylines that are very interesting or whatever.
- 9:43Speaker 3: So yeah, So I've seen the first six episodes so far,
- 9:48Speaker 3: and so far the star of this like I felt
- 9:51Speaker 3: like Kirk was kind of the star of Quarterback sure
- 9:54Speaker 3: or it came out looking the best totally. I feel
- 9:58Speaker 3: like that for this one, it has been George Kittle.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Nice. Well, he's a weirdo, right, but.
- 10:06Speaker 3: He looks like the best teammate. He's really funny. A
- 10:13Speaker 3: lot of the other guys are dealing with stuff, you know,
- 10:16Speaker 3: there's there's injuries, sure, there's DeVante Adams has just done
- 10:20Speaker 3: a bad team. Uh yeah, where he is like the
- 10:27Speaker 3: love of the game and the being involved in this
- 10:31Speaker 3: team sport comes through and he he looks like a blast.
- 10:37Speaker 2: And feels like genuine and all that. That's awesome. Yeah.
- 10:41Speaker 3: So, yeah, he got a lot of good press on this.
- 10:45Speaker 3: But it's compelling stuff and it's fun to see the
- 10:47Speaker 3: behind the scenes stuff on a sport that I love.
- 10:50Speaker 3: It's kind of like the hard knocks things. I enjoy
- 10:53Speaker 3: that too, and I really like this. The thing that
- 10:56Speaker 3: I would say is worse about this than quarterback is
- 11:00Speaker 3: that there's too many of them to really dive into it.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I g and you don't get a lot of
- 11:07Speaker 3: the day to day like what they do to prepare
- 11:09Speaker 3: kind of stuff, which.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Has gotta be a lot I would think.
- 11:13Speaker 3: Yeah, but that was what was so cool about quarterback.
- 11:16Speaker 2: But interesting. Yeah that's cool.
- 11:18Speaker 3: But I'm into it.
- 11:18Speaker 2: If you like football, it's worth watching. Yeah. I like
- 11:21Speaker 2: that stuff, and we're almost there, so why not.
- 11:24Speaker 3: Yeah, they will get me pumped up for football. What
- 11:27Speaker 3: have you been streaming? Uh?
- 11:30Speaker 2: So, I streamed a movie that I'd never seen before
- 11:32Speaker 2: from twenty thirteen. I can't remember if you've seen it.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Or not. But out of the furnace. Did you ever
- 11:38Speaker 2: watch that movie? I did.
- 11:39Speaker 3: I thought it was kind of a bummer.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not. It's not nearly as good as it
- 11:44Speaker 2: should be to be honest with that cast. Yeah, the
- 11:47Speaker 2: cast is yeah, wildly good. So it's Christian Bale, Casey Affleck.
- 11:52Speaker 2: They're brothers working in some kind of like a small
- 11:55Speaker 2: town where there's like a steel mill and things like that.
- 11:59Speaker 2: They have a tough life. Woody Harrelson is like a
- 12:03Speaker 2: like a kind of a hick from the mountains, like
- 12:06Speaker 2: a mountain folk guy, and does like some drug dealing
- 12:11Speaker 2: and runs like fighting rings and things like that. And
- 12:15Speaker 2: then Zoe Saldama is in it, and she is with
- 12:20Speaker 2: Christian Bale for parts of it, and then things happen
- 12:26Speaker 2: and it's a they start off. It's a really interesting story.
- 12:30Speaker 2: You feel like you're learning some things, like Casey Affleck
- 12:33Speaker 2: is kind of a he's just kind of a screw
- 12:35Speaker 2: up and like doesn't really have his stuff together. It
- 12:40Speaker 2: just doesn't really go anywhere, honestly, it's like kind of
- 12:43Speaker 2: just and yeah, it just doesn't really go anywhere. Some
- 12:48Speaker 2: great acting in it, though, and I kept thinking we
- 12:51Speaker 2: were gonna get like this explosion of action and it
- 12:54Speaker 2: just doesn't. It never really happened. I don't know, so
- 12:57Speaker 2: I kind of get why I never saw it, but
- 12:59Speaker 2: it's kind of worth it just to see those cats act.
- 13:02Speaker 2: They're really good. I guess.
- 13:04Speaker 3: I gave it a six out of ten on IMDBA.
- 13:07Speaker 2: See. Yeah, yeah, that's actually exactly what I gave it to.
- 13:10Speaker 2: I rated it too after I watched it, and I
- 13:12Speaker 2: was just like, it's not bad, but it's not good either,
- 13:15Speaker 2: right like it kind of yeah, I don't know, it
- 13:19Speaker 2: just didn't go anywhere from me.
- 13:20Speaker 3: But I use that one a lot for Christian Bale
- 13:23Speaker 3: in the movie game. It's a great movie game game
- 13:26Speaker 3: because it's kind of a forgettable one.
- 13:28Speaker 2: One you can do Willem Dafoe because his part's not
- 13:31Speaker 2: very big in that, you know, and all that's not nice.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Well we get what we get, Rob, I don't know
- 13:37Speaker 2: what to tell you. And if anybody can cast that stone,
- 13:41Speaker 2: it's obviously me. But yeah, so check it out out
- 13:46Speaker 2: of the furnace if you want. But I think you're
- 13:48Speaker 2: okay kind of skipping that one too, to be honest. Yeah,
- 13:51Speaker 2: it's it's fine, but yeah, what do you think should
- 13:55Speaker 2: we do if you plug a Runes, Yes, I see.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Guys can visit us as always over on the Twitter
- 14:00Speaker 2: where we're at Avid Indorsman with a Z, or you

- 14:46Speaker 3: chill version. We usually do a top five draft that
- 14:49Speaker 3: pertains to the movie that we're discussing, and for this one,
- 14:54Speaker 3: we decided to come up with our top five movies
- 14:58Speaker 3: with a family family member in the title, which I've
- 15:03Speaker 3: definitely done in a lot of movie games that I've
- 15:06Speaker 3: done for you guys in the past as like a theme.
- 15:11Speaker 3: So I felt like I.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Kind of had a there's so many on these.
- 15:14Speaker 3: There's quite a bit.
- 15:15Speaker 2: I kind of gave up at one point. I was
- 15:17Speaker 2: just like, well, I have.
- 15:19Speaker 3: Like I don't know why to dig so deep, right,
- 15:24Speaker 3: but there's a there's some fun ones in there, so
- 15:27Speaker 3: stay tuned for that.
- 15:29Speaker 2: It will be one. But yeah, it's it's just you
- 15:34Speaker 2: and I today, Rob, A little a little intimate affair
- 15:38Speaker 2: between us. I'm excited for. Uh, So let's get into it.
- 15:42Speaker 2: We're here to talk about Big Zaddie today, big Daddy,
- 15:49Speaker 2: and I am his adopted son, nephew. I don't know
- 15:54Speaker 2: you're the funkal Oh, yeah I am. I If anything,
- 15:58Speaker 2: I am the delivery man the food. You are man
- 16:01Speaker 2: you are? But you read so well? Yes, yeah, I
- 16:06Speaker 2: love it. I really was born for that role. But
- 16:09Speaker 2: this came out in nineteen hundred and ninety nine, so
- 16:12Speaker 2: it is its twenty fifth anniversary, which is amazing and
- 16:17Speaker 2: without any further ado, Rob can get it started with
- 16:19Speaker 2: just a rough synopsis. Yes, I can okay.
- 16:23Speaker 3: Thirty two year old Sonny Cofax has spent his whole
- 16:27Speaker 3: life avoiding responsibility, but when his girlfriend dumps him for
- 16:31Speaker 3: an older man, he's got to find a way to
- 16:34Speaker 3: prove he's ready to grow up. In a desperate last
- 16:38Speaker 3: ditch effort, Sonny adopts five year old Julian to impress her.
- 16:43Speaker 3: She's not impressed, and he can't return the kid. Uh
- 16:47Speaker 3: oh for Sonny.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Oh, spagetmeos.
- 16:53Speaker 3: I love that ended it with u oh for Sonny,
- 16:56Speaker 3: Oh for Sonny.
- 16:58Speaker 2: I was into it. Wow, that's really fun. I like
- 17:00Speaker 2: that one a lot. That was fun one we don't
- 17:02Speaker 2: usually get that much. Like personality. No, yeah, that's really great.
- 17:08Speaker 2: Love it. Let's go to Rotten Tomatoes and hear what
- 17:10Speaker 2: they have to say this movie. Critics have it coming
- 17:12Speaker 2: in at a rock solid thirty nine percent. That is
- 17:17Speaker 2: not fresh, one of our lower ones. I think maybe, yeah,
- 17:22Speaker 2: I guess, I know it's in the lower tier.
- 17:25Speaker 3: It's in the lower tier for sure.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Audience members have it up quite a lot from there,
- 17:29Speaker 2: seventy four percent from audiences, and.
- 17:31Speaker 3: That's which kind of where I would expect.
- 17:33Speaker 2: It to be. Stiff feels a little low. Still but
- 17:36Speaker 2: also way better than critics. So I get it. Yeah,
- 17:39Speaker 2: I get it. But more important than all that is
- 17:42Speaker 2: what we think. And I think time for our hot take,
- 17:46Speaker 2: hot take out scuba, Steve help me. That's a hot take.
- 17:52Speaker 3: That's a hot take, cool water and stuff. That's okay,
- 17:55Speaker 3: you couldn't think of that, so good, good.
- 17:57Speaker 2: Helve, Good on you. I don't know why, and I
- 18:01Speaker 2: don't know if anyone believes me. Never for a second
- 18:04Speaker 2: think of those before we do. It's like I could though,
- 18:08Speaker 2: I could, just I could think about it for two minutes. Nope,
- 18:12Speaker 2: not going to do it. Same straight from the Chrome doome.
- 18:16Speaker 2: I will go first here. I like this movie a ton.
- 18:20Speaker 2: I've always thought it has like a ton of heart
- 18:22Speaker 2: to it. I think it's a really sweet movie and
- 18:26Speaker 2: also really funny. Like it it feels it feels like
- 18:30Speaker 2: such a nice part of Adadam Sandler's career where he
- 18:34Speaker 2: was like not necessarily trying to impress anyone, but also
- 18:38Speaker 2: not making Jack and Jill you know what I mean.
- 18:40Speaker 2: So it was like there was still some substance there,
- 18:44Speaker 2: there was still some heart there, which was really fun.
- 18:47Speaker 2: And I think he's got back to that at various
- 18:49Speaker 2: points of course, part of that's got to be this
- 18:53Speaker 2: was probably before his Netflix deal where he had to
- 18:55Speaker 2: make sure, you know, one every year or whatever the
- 18:58Speaker 2: hell it was, right, Netflix was not a thing. Yeah,
- 19:02Speaker 2: just came out. Yeah, when would that have been like
- 19:04Speaker 2: two thousand and one, maybe, I mean a bigger thing
- 19:08Speaker 2: two thousand and two.
- 19:09Speaker 3: First thing, oh I did not My first Netflix thing
- 19:14Speaker 3: was when I was It was after college. Wow?
- 19:19Speaker 2: Really was that late?
- 19:20Speaker 3: I mean, now I did the blockbuster thing before Netflix gotcha. Okay,
- 19:27Speaker 3: because I was a blockbuster remember, But yeah, my one
- 19:31Speaker 3: of my first things I ever got would have been
- 19:33Speaker 3: probably two thousand and eight.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Wow. I guess I never realized it was that late,
- 19:38Speaker 2: But that makes sense anyway.
- 19:40Speaker 3: Anyway, tangent doesn't matter very.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Much happened after this. But yeah, I just think this
- 19:48Speaker 2: movie has a ton of heart and it's kind of
- 19:50Speaker 2: like my favorite Adam Sandler kind of movie where it's like, oh,
- 19:54Speaker 2: this is sweet and also very funny and whatever. I
- 19:59Speaker 2: thought the having gay friends aged particularly well. I think
- 20:04Speaker 2: this movie is more progressive than I pronounce you Chuck
- 20:07Speaker 2: and Larry, which is very problematic to me. Like I
- 20:11Speaker 2: always was like, I feel like you're trying to be
- 20:13Speaker 2: cool and it's not cool, whereas this one, like the
- 20:17Speaker 2: overarching theme is just like, well, yeah, there's still the
- 20:20Speaker 2: dudes that we like, Like what are we talking about?
- 20:22Speaker 2: You know? And I just think that's such a fun
- 20:25Speaker 2: I don't know, I really liked that a lot. Liked
- 20:27Speaker 2: that well, you know, because we need some salty to
- 20:33Speaker 2: our suite. He also doesn't like Hooters at all, like
- 20:38Speaker 2: he thinks it is it makes super bad. So there's
- 20:42Speaker 2: some woman bashing stuff in there that's maybe not amazing.
- 20:46Speaker 2: But I also think character wise, he comes around on
- 20:49Speaker 2: the right, like that's part of the arc of that character.
- 20:54Speaker 2: But yeah, I think this movie is super super fun. Yeah.
- 20:59Speaker 2: I mean, and other than you know, Sonny being successful, wealthy,
- 21:03Speaker 2: smart and having a really great apartment in New York City,
- 21:05Speaker 2: I'm really close to being in a similar spot as him.
- 21:09Speaker 2: So that's cool. That's that's enjoyable. But my hottest take
- 21:14Speaker 2: is it is pretty wild to see the kids play
- 21:19Speaker 2: about the founding fathers and to hear about Hamilton, and
- 21:24Speaker 2: now that we know so much stuff about Hamilton after
- 21:28Speaker 2: like the craze and everything. I just found that really
- 21:30Speaker 2: fun because they were just like I was the first
- 21:33Speaker 2: Secretary of the Treasury and then I got shot and yeah,
- 21:38Speaker 2: and that's kind of it. And it's like, yeah, that's
- 21:40Speaker 2: what we all knew. It was like that and the
- 21:42Speaker 2: peanut butter commercial, and that's all we knew for the
- 21:45Speaker 2: God Milk.
- 21:46Speaker 3: Yeah, the God Milk commercial, right that he was eating
- 21:48Speaker 3: peanut butter. But I just thought that was that was specifically.
- 21:51Speaker 2: Really fun to see a lot. But yeah, I guess.
- 21:55Speaker 3: That's my hot, hot take, buddy, very hot. I watched
- 22:00Speaker 3: this one a bunch when it came out. Came out
- 22:03Speaker 3: when I was in high school, and at this point
- 22:06Speaker 3: when it came out, Adam Sandler hadn't really missed on
- 22:08Speaker 3: a comedy yet. This was probably Adam Sandler at his
- 22:13Speaker 3: peak for his goofy comedies. Love that Dennis Dugan directed,
- 22:19Speaker 3: who had previously directed Sandler and Happy Gilmore and would
- 22:23Speaker 3: go on to direct a bunch more for him in
- 22:26Speaker 3: The Happy Madison Crew, even made a cameo as the
- 22:30Speaker 3: guy who wasn't ready for trick or treaters on Halloween.
- 22:33Speaker 2: That's Dennis Dugan. He's in a lot.
- 22:37Speaker 3: He shows up in most of his movies. Adam Sandler
- 22:41Speaker 3: helped write the movie as well. With SNL writer Tim Hurley.
- 22:45Speaker 3: He and a guy named Steve Franks who this was
- 22:49Speaker 3: his first writing credit, and then he went on to
- 22:51Speaker 3: create the show Psych, which was recommended to us by
- 22:56Speaker 3: an Indorsey And it looks like a lot of fun.
- 23:00Speaker 3: I watched, like, the first episode is like an hour
- 23:04Speaker 3: plus and I watched half of it and was like, oh,
- 23:06Speaker 3: this is kind of fun.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Oh that's cool. I do want to check that out
- 23:10Speaker 2: at some point for sure.
- 23:11Speaker 3: Yeah, but I thought Big Daddy had a fun cast.
- 23:15Speaker 3: Went and got some twin actors to play the main kid,
- 23:19Speaker 3: who was really great, and they both of those actors,
- 23:23Speaker 3: both of those twins are both still working liarly today,
- 23:27Speaker 3: which is really fun.
- 23:28Speaker 2: It's so crazy. I can't believe that they're both into it.
- 23:33Speaker 3: Yeah, they both can do it, for sure.
- 23:36Speaker 2: Do you think a three on like what parts they're
- 23:38Speaker 2: going for right.
- 23:41Speaker 3: Or like, you know what, I'm not really I'm not
- 23:42Speaker 3: having a good time on this one.
- 23:44Speaker 2: We do just fill in for me? Come on? Yeah.
- 23:50Speaker 3: I think the plot in this one is pretty ridiculous
- 23:52Speaker 3: and not believable, but it made for some laughs and
- 23:56Speaker 3: for some touching moments. Especially the whole courtroom thing is
- 24:01Speaker 3: just so over the top.
- 24:04Speaker 2: It could never.
- 24:05Speaker 3: Ever happen the way that it happened in this, for sure,
- 24:09Speaker 3: and that kind of takes me out now where back
- 24:12Speaker 3: in nineteen ninety nine definitely did not. But yeah, I
- 24:16Speaker 3: guess my hottest take. This is one of those films
- 24:21Speaker 3: that I thought was so great at the time, and
- 24:25Speaker 3: I definitely have the nostalgia when I watch it, but
- 24:28Speaker 3: it's not one that I need to keep rewatching. I
- 24:32Speaker 3: get that because it's just a little on the dumb side.
- 24:36Speaker 2: Yeah, Like one positive thing it has going for it,
- 24:40Speaker 2: it is snappy, like, so you don't really get a
- 24:43Speaker 2: chance to be like, okay, I'm kind of over this
- 24:46Speaker 2: now a.
- 24:46Speaker 3: Little bit, you know what, Like then something funnill happen.
- 24:48Speaker 2: Yeah, at least not in a big way, I feel like.
- 24:51Speaker 2: So it has that, but yeah, I'm with you, Like
- 24:53Speaker 2: I liked rewatching it. It was fun. Yeah, they have
- 24:57Speaker 2: the same nostalgia, but yeah I don't. I'm not watching
- 25:00Speaker 2: this like every six months or anything, you know.
- 25:02Speaker 3: And I think I think the difference is is that
- 25:05Speaker 3: it's kind of trying to be like a real movie,
- 25:08Speaker 3: but it's we're like happy. Gilmour and Billy Madison are
- 25:12Speaker 3: just straight up there, just silly, goofy and I kind
- 25:16Speaker 3: of prefer that.
- 25:18Speaker 2: Sure, if I'm in that mood, I want to be
- 25:20Speaker 2: in that mood kind of thing.
- 25:22Speaker 3: Yeah, and trying to come off as like a real
- 25:27Speaker 3: dramedy and to you know what I mean, I don't
- 25:30Speaker 3: know by that. I feel like it needs to be
- 25:32Speaker 3: a little smarter if it's going to be that.
- 25:34Speaker 2: I like a you know, I like a rom com
- 25:36Speaker 2: slightly more than you, so it doesn't bother me. But
- 25:40Speaker 2: I get it, you know, or bothers not the right word.
- 25:43Speaker 2: I don't think it bothers you, but you know, like, no,
- 25:46Speaker 2: I'm willing to go there more, you know or whatever,
- 25:49Speaker 2: probably so, but I totally get that hot.
- 25:51Speaker 3: Take, pal, It's my hot take.
- 25:53Speaker 2: I love it. It's the spiciest of all takes. Well,
- 25:57Speaker 2: let's go in and it's time to name our favorite
- 25:59Speaker 2: acting performance. Shall we name the dude the dude? I'm
- 26:03Speaker 2: the dude, so that's what you call me, you know that,
- 26:07Speaker 2: or his dudeus or duder or you know, el dud reno.
- 26:13Speaker 2: If you're not into the whole brevity thing, I.
- 26:15Speaker 3: Think you sure, Okay, I'll go first. Adam Sandler, Adam
- 26:19Speaker 3: Sandler is sonnykofex. He's definitely the lead in this.
- 26:21Speaker 2: That seems fair.
- 26:22Speaker 3: He plays a great lazy guy who has no ambition.
- 26:28Speaker 2: Like he used to do this.
- 26:29Speaker 3: Yeah, he kills that role and that's pretty much all
- 26:32Speaker 3: he played up until this point. Yeah, he just succels
- 26:36Speaker 3: in that role. We know he can make things funny
- 26:39Speaker 3: with his delivery. But he was able to show off
- 26:42Speaker 3: a little bit of the dramatic chops, which he hadn't
- 26:44Speaker 3: really ever done before this. He actually was able to
- 26:48Speaker 3: get some tears while going while Julian was being taken
- 26:52Speaker 3: away by Child Protective Services, and it was like, all right,
- 26:55Speaker 3: good on you man, Like we're we're taking a step where.
- 26:59Speaker 2: I also like that they made him like smart in
- 27:01Speaker 2: it too, Like usually he's just a dummy to be
- 27:05Speaker 2: a dummy, but this way they were like, well, he's
- 27:07Speaker 2: just kind of a you know, redition, he's just kind
- 27:12Speaker 2: of like not into it right now or whatever. Right.
- 27:14Speaker 2: I think that's fun.
- 27:16Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it made a little more compelling, But I
- 27:19Speaker 3: think I think he's definitely the dude. What did you think?
- 27:22Speaker 2: Yeah, co sign on that. It's definitely Adam Sandler. He
- 27:26Speaker 2: carries the movie in so many ways. I think he's great.
- 27:30Speaker 2: He's also awesome at like being angry not at the kid,
- 27:34Speaker 2: but at the situation sometimes, but also being super silly
- 27:38Speaker 2: with the kiddo, And I think that's really fun.
- 27:41Speaker 3: I liked that that vibe a lot. It feels really real,
- 27:44Speaker 3: and he did a great job. So yeah, I think
- 27:47Speaker 3: it's him for sure.
- 27:48Speaker 2: I'm with you. Nice.
- 27:49Speaker 3: Well, let's talk about some of these supporting characters. Let's
- 27:51Speaker 3: pick the Tucci.
- 27:54Speaker 4: Chi.
- 27:55Speaker 3: Why don't you go first on this one?
- 27:56Speaker 2: Okay, I can go first. Well, the kids, I guess right,
- 28:02Speaker 2: probably should be first. They're so cute, Brouse, so so cute.
- 28:08Speaker 2: I like them a lot. Impossible to tell who's who
- 28:11Speaker 2: obviously on purpose, but just their their little tiny voice
- 28:16Speaker 2: when they say all the things and they're scared and
- 28:19Speaker 2: then they get excited later and all, you know, all
- 28:22Speaker 2: the stuff. I thought they were really really good.
- 28:24Speaker 3: They were good. And if we don't like the kid,
- 28:27Speaker 3: this movie does not work.
- 28:29Speaker 2: Agreed. Yeah, good point, good point.
- 28:32Speaker 3: That, Uh, that is definitely the Tucci for me as well.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Yeah, and they do like the yelling stuff is great,
- 28:40Speaker 2: you know, like when they're Yeah, yeah, I thought they
- 28:43Speaker 2: were they were awesome. Who did you have? For years?
- 28:46Speaker 2: That was who I had my runner up.
- 28:48Speaker 3: My runner up, I have to pick Rob Schneider as
- 28:52Speaker 3: he's just listed as delivery, which is hilarious. So just delivery.
- 28:57Speaker 2: I didn't even see that, even delivery guy.
- 28:59Speaker 3: But if he has the one quote in the film
- 29:03Speaker 3: that I say pretty regularly, I said it in the
- 29:07Speaker 3: last well, I guess it was two episodes now in
- 29:12Speaker 3: movie Game Night. But so I think just for that,
- 29:16Speaker 3: I'll give him the runner up. That he always would
- 29:20Speaker 3: play different kind of ethnicities and stuff in his movies,
- 29:26Speaker 3: and I don't know if that is cool or not
- 29:30Speaker 3: PC for this one, I'm not sure.
- 29:35Speaker 2: Fine, well, I agree, I didn't know either. Something. At
- 29:40Speaker 2: one point he says spiciba though, which means thank you
- 29:43Speaker 2: in Russian. So I'm okay. I guess he's some sort
- 29:47Speaker 2: of Eastern Bloc at least, or former Soviet Union guy.
- 29:53Speaker 2: And maybe I'm wrong, like maybe other places use that too,
- 29:56Speaker 2: I don't know, but yeah, that was what tipped me
- 29:58Speaker 2: off from from my long stint in Russia.
- 30:02Speaker 3: I always thought this was funny though this his role
- 30:05Speaker 3: in this was always really funny.
- 30:07Speaker 2: It's very silly. Yeah, like a lot that's a good one.
- 30:10Speaker 2: Did you have runners up at all? Un So? I
- 30:15Speaker 2: had Leslie Mann as my runner up. Wonderfully hate herble
- 30:20Speaker 2: in this, Like, she's so funny, she's so great. She
- 30:24Speaker 2: does not like him, and it like, especially now that
- 30:27Speaker 2: we are older, she's got a lot of points. He
- 30:32Speaker 2: is just lazy and not a great friend all the time,
- 30:35Speaker 2: you know, and like holding back her dude. And you know,
- 30:40Speaker 2: especially that like age of people, although they seem way
- 30:44Speaker 2: older than than that age, but that age, like people
- 30:49Speaker 2: are ready to move on to that kind of next
- 30:51Speaker 2: phase and not everyone is and that can you know,
- 30:54Speaker 2: cause some legitimate like strife between relationships and things. I
- 30:59Speaker 2: thought she was so great and she was great.
- 31:01Speaker 3: I loved their dynamic that they don't thank each other
- 31:05Speaker 3: and she gives it back to him, which was so
- 31:09Speaker 3: much fun.
- 31:10Speaker 2: That scene where that like she comes up on them
- 31:14Speaker 2: smooching and she's just like, yes, so funny, so good. Yeah,
- 31:19Speaker 2: it was. She's really tremendous. I like her a lot.
- 31:22Speaker 2: She's so funny.
- 31:23Speaker 3: Thing and she's stolen some movies from the big name folks.
- 31:27Speaker 2: She's she's great, Yeah, for sure, So I picked her.
- 31:31Speaker 2: I just thought she was pretty great in this for sure.
- 31:33Speaker 3: For sure, Joey Lauren Adams as Layla. But she was fine. Yeah,
- 31:39Speaker 3: she's pretty. She has such an interesting voice.
- 31:42Speaker 2: It's the it's the wildest thing. I don't know. It's
- 31:45Speaker 2: definitely heavily featured as well in mal Rats.
- 31:49Speaker 3: And Chasing and Chasing Amy got to watch that. Yeah, yeah,
- 31:55Speaker 3: but I didn't have a ton in this.
- 31:57Speaker 2: Yeah, and she just kind of like is on board
- 32:00Speaker 2: right away, which is not a bad thing. Again, it's
- 32:03Speaker 2: it's not a very long run time, so it's like
- 32:06Speaker 2: we gotta go, but she.
- 32:08Speaker 3: Did what she did well. And then don't really have
- 32:12Speaker 3: a lot to say about these other folks, but just
- 32:14Speaker 3: mentioning John Stewart. It was fun seeing John Stewart play
- 32:17Speaker 3: an actual Christy Swanson. That was one of my favorites
- 32:22Speaker 3: back in the day. I thought she was so beautiful.
- 32:25Speaker 3: It was fun to see her in this, and she
- 32:28Speaker 3: was actually pretty great. She was pretty great in this Buffy. Yeah, yeah,
- 32:32Speaker 3: I love her. Steve bumis in most of Sandler's movies
- 32:36Speaker 3: as a cameo. Pretty silly and covert, and Peter Dante
- 32:42Speaker 3: are in most of his movies. Have you heard about
- 32:45Speaker 3: that Peter Dante?
- 32:46Speaker 2: Dude? He is not.
- 32:50Speaker 3: They were the gay couple. He is the darker haired of.
- 32:55Speaker 2: The two guys. Is he not a nice guy or something?
- 32:58Speaker 3: He is not a nice guy, but they had a
- 33:01Speaker 3: pretty huge falling out.
- 33:02Speaker 2: I guess.
- 33:02Speaker 3: So he's not in any more of the movies.
- 33:04Speaker 2: Oh no, looking the gift horse in the mouth.
- 33:10Speaker 3: I know, dude, he got caught like saying very questionable
- 33:16Speaker 3: slurry type things and I think he kind of doubled
- 33:20Speaker 3: down on it and Sandler was like, yeah.
- 33:23Speaker 2: We're good. Yeah, I guess we can't.
- 33:26Speaker 3: He clearly has some sort of.
- 33:28Speaker 2: Sure dependency issues.
- 33:31Speaker 3: Yeah that's hard, so hopefully he gets that figured out.
- 33:35Speaker 2: But what a bummer.
- 33:36Speaker 3: Yeah, but he and Alan Kovert were pretty funny in this.
- 33:40Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, I liked them a lot. With you, I
- 33:43Speaker 2: don't think I have any Oh I like Josh most still.
- 33:47Speaker 2: Oh yeah.
- 33:48Speaker 3: The child saire mostly from Billy Madison, right, But he's
- 33:53Speaker 3: pretty funny in this.
- 33:54Speaker 2: I don't know, he does okay job. He's on screen
- 33:57Speaker 2: for like ten minutes or something. Yeah, if that and
- 34:00Speaker 2: maybe that edmund Lin deck guy, the old guy in
- 34:03Speaker 2: the bar. Uh, he's pretty funny. He has actually a
- 34:08Speaker 2: line that I say, maybe more than any other line
- 34:10Speaker 2: in this movie. Oh really, but we'll get to it later.
- 34:13Speaker 3: Okay, interesting, we think, yeah, talk about maybe some of
- 34:18Speaker 3: the scenes. Maybe it'll pop up in the scenes. I'm
- 34:20Speaker 3: not sure that it's our favorite. Let's pick the dingus.
- 34:27Speaker 3: So dinas is quite simple, really, dingus, dingus.
- 34:30Speaker 2: I could talk about my dingus all night long. You
- 34:33Speaker 2: go first on this one, but this is tough.
- 34:36Speaker 3: This is That's why I want you to go first,
- 34:39Speaker 3: because I like a lot of little, really little scenes
- 34:42Speaker 3: in this.
- 34:43Speaker 2: There's not like a one that stands out a lot
- 34:46Speaker 2: to me. Yeah, yeah, I'm with you.
- 34:48Speaker 3: I'm going to pick a sequence. I'm gonna pick a
- 34:52Speaker 3: sequence when Julian peas the bed Sonny takes care of
- 34:57Speaker 3: it by putting newspaper all over the bed, tries to
- 34:59Speaker 3: go back to but the crinkling yeah annoys him and
- 35:03Speaker 3: he can't fall back to sleep. That's hilarious.
- 35:05Speaker 2: Then still.
- 35:08Speaker 3: All right, I'm up, and then gets up makes him
- 35:11Speaker 3: some cereal. He immediately spills the milk. We get to
- 35:14Speaker 3: see the newspaper bit again.
- 35:17Speaker 2: So much newspaper, yeah, which.
- 35:19Speaker 3: Was very funny, just like what would the laziest guy do?
- 35:22Speaker 2: And yeah, that's what he's going to do.
- 35:25Speaker 3: But then it leads to the McDonald's breakfast incident, which
- 35:30Speaker 3: kind of that one stuck with me for a long time. Yeah,
- 35:32Speaker 3: me too, because I think at the time I was like, oh,
- 35:36Speaker 3: it's at ten thirty, like I thought it was eleven two.
- 35:39Speaker 3: We all did, I think, you know, then we have McDonald's.
- 35:42Speaker 3: But yes, agree, yeah, well you definitely don't know. I've
- 35:47Speaker 3: been there a few times. But yeah, I thought that
- 35:52Speaker 3: that sequence, pretty sequenced, was pretty fun, and in that
- 35:55Speaker 3: you get the magic sunglasses.
- 35:59Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, that's fun.
- 36:00Speaker 3: So you know, that's like a twenty minute bit of
- 36:03Speaker 3: the movie.
- 36:04Speaker 2: But yeah, I could.
- 36:05Speaker 3: I could not just pick one.
- 36:06Speaker 2: It was tough. Yeah, I like that. I like that. God, yeah,
- 36:14Speaker 2: it is hard. It is hard to do. I actually
- 36:16Speaker 2: might pick the when Krene comes up on them when
- 36:20Speaker 2: they're having their first kiss, because that scene is pretty great.
- 36:23Speaker 2: It is funny. It's really funny. She's just like watch
- 36:26Speaker 2: your mathat mouth out he's dirty and he's poor, so funny.
- 36:33Speaker 2: I love that. The whole thing is really great, and
- 36:36Speaker 2: she's like embarrassed to leave. I don't know, it just
- 36:38Speaker 2: felt like a very like a very realistic sibling thing,
- 36:42Speaker 2: and you know, like I don't know. It felt kind
- 36:45Speaker 2: of high schooly, but in like a silly way, you know.
- 36:48Speaker 2: I don't know, it was fun. I liked it a lot.
- 36:52Speaker 2: I'm with you on the McDonald's thing. I thought that
- 36:54Speaker 2: was really funny. I liked that a lot for sure too.
- 36:57Speaker 2: And then another small scene that I kind of forgot
- 37:00Speaker 2: when he's like interrogating the kids on the playground and
- 37:04Speaker 2: so funny, dude, just like stay off dope and that stuff.
- 37:08Speaker 2: It's really good, like some very.
- 37:11Speaker 3: Serious in that moment and it's good, dude, But I kind.
- 37:16Speaker 2: Of forgot about that part honestly, like you're still off
- 37:19Speaker 2: the booze or whatever, like for you, good for you
- 37:23Speaker 2: and the kids, just like what are you talking about? Yeah,
- 37:27Speaker 2: that was fun, really fun. I like that a lot.
- 37:31Speaker 3: My runner up is the montage of them trying to
- 37:34Speaker 3: better Julian with helping him study and bathe regularly and
- 37:37Speaker 3: wear appropriate clothes montage, but especially when they're going over
- 37:41Speaker 3: the big words, because that is my favorite quote of
- 37:44Speaker 3: the movie by far.
- 37:46Speaker 2: Good call. That's a great one, but I love that.
- 37:51Speaker 3: I think in that we get scuba stive too, possibly, which.
- 37:54Speaker 2: Yes that that Yeah, I like that too.
- 37:59Speaker 3: Want to me part of those Sculo squad, just how
- 38:02Speaker 3: he said I loved I'm school with Sham Yeah Scoob
- 38:06Speaker 3: of Steve's father.
- 38:08Speaker 2: Yeah, really fun I enjoyed that.
- 38:11Speaker 3: And one other one that I mentioned was when Sonny
- 38:14Speaker 3: finds out Vanessa's cheating on him with a much older man,
- 38:18Speaker 3: and just because of all the the little one liners,
- 38:22Speaker 3: his lines are so funny and that, Yeah, I do
- 38:25Speaker 3: like that one a lot. Also, just when he's scamming
- 38:29Speaker 3: the gals and comes across Krin's sister with the help me.
- 38:37Speaker 2: I'm so funny. God, it's so good. It is good,
- 38:41Speaker 2: so so good. I love that. That comes up a
- 38:44Speaker 2: couple of times too, because he does it. Took her
- 38:45Speaker 2: in once too, and he's like, you don't have to
- 38:47Speaker 2: do that, right right? Yeah, no, no, no, we're good.
- 38:51Speaker 2: He's like, oh, okay, cool, that's all right, it's not
- 38:53Speaker 2: that's the word. Yeah. Uh but yeah, I would pick
- 39:00Speaker 2: the one you said, though I think, why am I blank? Sequence?
- 39:05Speaker 3: Well, I mean it let it ended with the McDonald's incident.
- 39:08Speaker 2: Yes, yes, I was pretty good. Yes, okay, it's a
- 39:12Speaker 2: fairly big swath of the movie, but whatever, it's who
- 39:16Speaker 2: cares who? I love it.
- 39:18Speaker 3: Well, let's let's go and talk about some of the quotes.
- 39:22Speaker 3: Show me the.
- 39:22Speaker 2: Money, Show me the money, show me.
- 39:33Speaker 3: Can I say my one that I say all the time.
- 39:37Speaker 3: I want to hear you say your one?
- 39:38Speaker 2: But okay, great.
- 39:40Speaker 3: They have the big Q cards that have the words,
- 39:45Speaker 3: pretty big words. So Julian gets Electricity Constitution Philadelphia. He
- 39:52Speaker 3: just nails him. Then for Rob Schneider's role, he gets
- 39:58Speaker 3: fish fish pon hip hip hop hip hop anonymous. Damn
- 40:05Speaker 3: you you give him, You gave him the easy one.
- 40:07Speaker 2: Give him all these ones?
- 40:09Speaker 3: Yeah, oh dude, so funny. That is the one I
- 40:14Speaker 3: say quite a bit. Hip hip hop anonymous.
- 40:17Speaker 2: Yeah, the hip hop anonymous is You're right?
- 40:19Speaker 3: That is the most I love it so much.
- 40:23Speaker 2: So funnymous?
- 40:26Speaker 3: What is what is the quote that you say all
- 40:29Speaker 3: the time?
- 40:30Speaker 2: Well, so this is kind of a non sequitor one,
- 40:32Speaker 2: which is why I say it so much. But it's
- 40:34Speaker 2: just when he's like, and what did you do after that? Is?
- 40:38Speaker 2: I think it's as when his father is interrogating him
- 40:40Speaker 2: and he's like, I went to Jones Beach and I
- 40:43Speaker 2: got drunk and fell asleep, and then the old man
- 40:45Speaker 2: just goes, who yes, and we will say that. Specifically,
- 40:52Speaker 2: me and a heat Box will say that to each
- 40:54Speaker 2: other when we're playing games, and we'll just be like,
- 40:57Speaker 2: I can see his face every time we say that,
- 41:00Speaker 2: like exactly who he's talking about. I know exactly what
- 41:05Speaker 2: you know. The line is so good, So yeah, I
- 41:09Speaker 2: like that one a lot. That is funny. I think
- 41:11Speaker 2: he says it one other time too, but just the.
- 41:17Speaker 3: Yeah when when they're in the bar and he's talking
- 41:20Speaker 3: to it, Yes, he said, you know, fight like a
- 41:24Speaker 3: woman or something.
- 41:26Speaker 2: I'm gonna push you through the wall again, like I
- 41:28Speaker 2: did really good?
- 41:31Speaker 3: Are you hit like a I don't know what he said.
- 41:33Speaker 2: I'm going to find that Hell yes and put it
- 41:35Speaker 2: in there because I think my I think my impression
- 41:37Speaker 2: is pretty close. Okay, I'm gonna put it right after
- 41:40Speaker 2: right on.
- 41:42Speaker 3: Uh.
- 41:43Speaker 2: But some other fun ones. Uh. I just love the
- 41:49Speaker 2: when the Julian starts crying and he's just like, well,
- 41:52Speaker 2: somebody get this kid a happy meal. Yeah, it's such
- 41:55Speaker 2: a good line. He's so good at yelling, like when
- 41:59Speaker 2: he's like going from regular talking to yelling, because later
- 42:02Speaker 2: when he's like, what do you need a father figure?
- 42:04Speaker 2: Stop on your sister's hair? Yeah, super fun like that,
- 42:11Speaker 2: let's see. Uh. I also like later he's like, you know,
- 42:18Speaker 2: you mean big boobs McGee over there again, not being
- 42:21Speaker 2: very nice to Corn. And then yeah, John Stewart's like, Sonny,
- 42:25Speaker 2: that was five years ago. She's a doctor now, so
- 42:28Speaker 2: from now on I have to insist doctor big moves
- 42:31Speaker 2: McGee big. Yeah. I like that a lot. It was
- 42:35Speaker 2: really fun. Oh and then another classic, I wipe my
- 42:41Speaker 2: own ass me too? Is good? Me too? Yeah? And
- 42:46Speaker 2: then when he says it like pleadingly, yeah, pretty good,
- 42:54Speaker 2: pretty good. I don't need to take them all though,
- 42:56Speaker 2: Well did you say so?
- 42:58Speaker 3: For sure?
- 42:59Speaker 2: I love uh.
- 43:01Speaker 3: When he's talking to Vanessa, he's like he has a
- 43:03Speaker 3: five year plan.
- 43:04Speaker 2: It's like, what is it? Don't die?
- 43:06Speaker 3: Don't die?
- 43:08Speaker 2: Talking about his old boyfriend, uh.
- 43:12Speaker 3: He also says, hey, you just made the biggest mistake
- 43:14Speaker 3: of your life.
- 43:15Speaker 2: Baby.
- 43:15Speaker 3: I know you're going to be missing me when you
- 43:17Speaker 3: have that big white, wrinkly body on you with his
- 43:20Speaker 3: loose skin and old balls gross balls gross.
- 43:28Speaker 2: It would have been a good one.
- 43:29Speaker 3: That'd have been a good one for the game. I
- 43:31Speaker 3: came up with, Oh, that would have been a good one.
- 43:33Speaker 3: Would have been a better one, old balls gross uh.
- 43:37Speaker 3: And then later we get the callback with Sonny. Is
- 43:40Speaker 3: that the man with the old balls from Julian?
- 43:43Speaker 2: Yes, he's pretty great. Yeah, so good, so good.
- 43:47Speaker 3: One that I'll say randomly if I stub my toe
- 43:50Speaker 3: or something. Oh, Scoob of Steve, damn you, scoob with Steve,
- 43:55Speaker 3: damn you.
- 43:57Speaker 2: I do love that. It's a good one.
- 43:59Speaker 3: That's we wasted the good surprise on you. I always
- 44:04Speaker 3: thought was funny.
- 44:05Speaker 2: Classic. Yep, love that. Oh.
- 44:12Speaker 3: Another one that you were talking about, Like he when
- 44:15Speaker 3: he goes up when the kid goes up to Joey
- 44:17Speaker 3: Lauren Adams, he's like, after they've talked for a little bit,
- 44:22Speaker 3: he's like, if you don't come over to Sunny's tonight,
- 44:25Speaker 3: there's a good chance I'll develop a stutter. Please don't
- 44:30Speaker 3: do that to me.
- 44:31Speaker 2: So good. I love that so much, Please don't do
- 44:37Speaker 2: that to me. It was good.
- 44:41Speaker 3: And as far as the Hooters thing, my favorite one
- 44:44Speaker 3: was just when she's being cross examined, he's like, how
- 44:48Speaker 3: long have you disliked mister Kofax since the day I
- 44:51Speaker 3: met him? And for the record, where did you work
- 44:54Speaker 3: while attending medical school?
- 44:56Speaker 2: Hooters? So funny and so dumb.
- 45:05Speaker 3: You have some more bud.
- 45:06Speaker 2: Yeah, but after my nap I always watched the Kangaroo song. Well,
- 45:11Speaker 2: it's overtime right now and there's a penalty shot that's
- 45:14Speaker 2: about to take place. This happens like once every ten
- 45:17Speaker 2: years or so.
- 45:18Speaker 3: Kanga Woo song, Kanga Woo song, go woo song.
- 45:22Speaker 2: You just discreez, just like alright, alright, yeah. I love
- 45:28Speaker 2: that whole scene. It's just so I mean a as
- 45:32Speaker 2: a childless person that is having children to me, just
- 45:38Speaker 2: like no, no, but seriously, if we can just okay.
- 45:42Speaker 3: Yeah, That's the only time I get the television is
- 45:44Speaker 3: when it's sports stuff totally. Otherwise it's always whatever they want.
- 45:49Speaker 2: But the Kangaroo song, it just cracks me up. I
- 45:52Speaker 2: love that. I also love when he's like the old
- 45:56Speaker 2: people are watching or the people at the restaurant are
- 45:58Speaker 2: watching while he's peeing on the side of the building
- 46:01Speaker 2: looking kind of upset, right or whatever. He's like, Hi,
- 46:04Speaker 2: what's your name? It right it on the wall?
- 46:06Speaker 3: Mind your business, Mind your business.
- 46:09Speaker 2: So good. Oh that was really funny. But just the
- 46:16Speaker 2: the whole stick thing and the rollerblades is just always
- 46:19Speaker 2: so so ridiculous. I love it. I love it. Someone
- 46:24Speaker 2: should move someone should priably move it. He's just the
- 46:28Speaker 2: biggest dick around. Yes, that smelly kids before, but your
- 46:35Speaker 2: son is by father smelliest.
- 46:37Speaker 3: Yeah that's good.
- 46:40Speaker 2: And then when he's what is he he's talking about,
- 46:42Speaker 2: like his grandma or something. I think he's like when
- 46:45Speaker 2: they're taking the bath and he's like, oh yeah, he's
- 46:49Speaker 2: like when I wish a child frankfurt Is were a nickel. Yeah.
- 46:55Speaker 2: I also have always loved the line before that when
- 46:58Speaker 2: he's like, why do I have to wear swim Tu's like,
- 47:00Speaker 2: I don't know the rules between adults and kids and
- 47:03Speaker 2: being naked. Just sit down. Yeah, yeah, so good. I
- 47:08Speaker 2: love that frankfurt Is wore a nickel. Yeah.
- 47:12Speaker 3: The way he said it was so funny, so great.
- 47:15Speaker 2: Ummm yeah, I don't know. We might have said most
- 47:22Speaker 2: of mine. There A lot of them are like quick
- 47:25Speaker 2: ones that were hard to catch, you know, Like.
- 47:29Speaker 3: I saw he said, bring it on, woman, the old
- 47:33Speaker 3: man did, yeah.
- 47:34Speaker 2: Bring it on.
- 47:36Speaker 3: And then he then he's like and he's like that
- 47:39Speaker 3: guy drinks a lot of Sodus.
- 47:41Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, that is so so good. He drinks a lot. Yeah.
- 47:50Speaker 2: I think that was all the ones I had.
- 47:52Speaker 3: Well, let's go to the crying game. Wow, strong men also.
- 47:57Speaker 2: Cry strong men, also cry strong man.
- 48:03Speaker 3: Also I picked three. Surprisingly, I love it.
- 48:08Speaker 2: I love it.
- 48:10Speaker 3: There was one early on when Julian says, Sonny, are
- 48:14Speaker 3: you my dad?
- 48:16Speaker 2: My god? Yes, that little voice really got me. Those kids,
- 48:19Speaker 2: little boys, Oh so good.
- 48:22Speaker 3: It sounded a lot like chants in our movie Game Night.
- 48:27Speaker 3: If you guys want to see what I'm talking about,
- 48:31Speaker 3: You're right, You're right.
- 48:31Speaker 2: It's pretty great.
- 48:34Speaker 3: The second time, I will say, when Julian is being
- 48:36Speaker 3: taken away, even though he does have the funny line,
- 48:39Speaker 3: but I wipe my own ass.
- 48:41Speaker 2: It's so sad though.
- 48:42Speaker 3: Yeah, Samdler got some, he got some actual tears.
- 48:45Speaker 2: He good man. It was impressive.
- 48:48Speaker 3: And then even though this didn't do a lot for me,
- 48:54Speaker 3: I think it did for you. And I'm going to
- 48:55Speaker 3: say his heart to heart with his dad on the
- 48:57Speaker 3: witness stand.
- 48:59Speaker 2: Yeah that on me. Yeah it was super cheesy, but yes,
- 49:04Speaker 2: yeah yeah.
- 49:06Speaker 3: And I felt like there might have been a couple
- 49:07Speaker 3: other spots in that same courtroom scene, but I kind
- 49:11Speaker 3: of counted all as one. Yeah I would too, Yeah,
- 49:14Speaker 3: but that was all I had. Nice you, there was
- 49:18Speaker 3: just one more, okay, and it.
- 49:20Speaker 2: Was just after that, and it's when and maybe it's
- 49:26Speaker 2: is it in the courtroom? It might even be I
- 49:29Speaker 2: guess I don't remember, but when it's like I'll always
- 49:31Speaker 2: be your friend, I'll always be your family. After he's like,
- 49:34Speaker 2: but I want you to do dad, it was in
- 49:36Speaker 2: the courtroom, So yeah, I count that. Yeah, so you
- 49:41Speaker 2: nailed that. I got it. Then, Yeah, good work, good work.
- 49:44Speaker 2: I was thinking that happened later, but you're right.
- 49:46Speaker 3: It was right after John Stewart is like, and I
- 49:50Speaker 3: refuse to press charges and then she's like, yeah, I
- 49:54Speaker 3: give you custods or whatever. We'll ignore the kidnapping. Then
- 49:58Speaker 3: no worse right, not a problem. Yeah, like this is that?
- 50:03Speaker 3: That's problematic? But yeah, nice.
- 50:07Speaker 2: So you know, buddy, wi, let's go do a little
- 50:11Speaker 2: movie a trivia hear so Jackie Sandler plays the waitress
- 50:17Speaker 2: in the bar beer and that is Adam Sandler's wife.
- 50:23Speaker 2: Apparently this is where they met. They met on the
- 50:26Speaker 2: set of this movie and they went on to get
- 50:29Speaker 2: married in two thousand and three and have two kiddos together. Yeah.
- 50:33Speaker 2: Well that's pretty wild. And she was cute in that
- 50:36Speaker 2: scene too, Like it was fun. That was a cute scene.
- 50:38Speaker 2: I liked it. Let's see. While they were filming this movie,
- 50:42Speaker 2: the water Boy came out and was a huge success.
- 50:46Speaker 2: Noticing the box office, Sony sent a memo to the set,
- 50:49Speaker 2: letting the production team and Adam Sandler know that they
- 50:52Speaker 2: had extra money to film or expand scenes they felt
- 50:55Speaker 2: were lacking. This allowed smaller characters played by Rob Schneider
- 50:58Speaker 2: and Steve Buscemi to have greater roles, which I think
- 51:02Speaker 2: made it better. I liked it, so that's cool. Making
- 51:07Speaker 2: over one hundred and sixty three million dollars domestically, this
- 51:10Speaker 2: was Adam Sandler's most successful movie until the animated Hotel
- 51:15Speaker 2: Transylvania two in twenty fifteen, which made one hundred and
- 51:18Speaker 2: sixty nine in twenty fifteen.
- 51:20Speaker 3: And it's still a lot of money.
- 51:22Speaker 2: It's still apparently his most successful live action movie, at
- 51:25Speaker 2: least when that Triba was written. And I couldn't verify
- 51:29Speaker 2: when that was.
- 51:29Speaker 3: But that is a shocking amount of money for a
- 51:34Speaker 3: agreed lay comedy.
- 51:35Speaker 2: Agreed now. I wonder people wanted to him keep making
- 51:40Speaker 2: them right, because like, not that expensive and you make
- 51:43Speaker 2: quite a bit. People love them. It's cool. Let's see
- 51:48Speaker 2: the scuba Steve action figure in this movie is a
- 51:51Speaker 2: fictional doll made up by Adam Sandler Scuba Steve, though
- 51:54Speaker 2: is based on a doll that Sandler owned when he
- 51:57Speaker 2: was a little kid called Diver Dan. Diver Dan can
- 52:00Speaker 2: be briefly seen in the intro scenes of another Dennis
- 52:05Speaker 2: dug In movie, Dugan Dugan. Okay, that's what I thought,
- 52:10Speaker 2: but I couldn't remember. But it's in Problem Child they mentioned,
- 52:15Speaker 2: which is fun. I like that.
- 52:18Speaker 4: Ah.
- 52:20Speaker 2: It was apparently Adam Zandler that provided the voice of
- 52:22Speaker 2: the rollerblader who fell over the stick. Goddamn stick.
- 52:27Speaker 3: Yeah, it sounds like him right once, you know, really funny.
- 52:33Speaker 2: I thought this was great. Cole and Dylan Sprouse lost
- 52:37Speaker 2: some teeth during production and had to be fitted with
- 52:39Speaker 2: temporary replacements. I just kind of never thought about that part.
- 52:44Speaker 2: Dylan's fell out in the middle of a take, and
- 52:48Speaker 2: near the end of the movie, just after entering Hooters
- 52:51Speaker 2: for his birthday, Sonny makes a reference to Julian about
- 52:54Speaker 2: dealing with the missing tooth while holding him, saying, hey,
- 52:57Speaker 2: are you still missing that tooth? And so that was
- 52:59Speaker 2: just kind of the homage to it. So that was fun.
- 53:04Speaker 2: See this is the last Sandler comedy before he founded
- 53:10Speaker 2: Happy Madison Productions as the founder and CEO. And it's
- 53:14Speaker 2: the first movie for Sony Pictures, which is where Happy
- 53:17Speaker 2: Madison is located.
- 53:19Speaker 3: I guess it was right on the Sony lot when
- 53:22Speaker 3: I was doing h what's it called?
- 53:26Speaker 2: Yeah, that's why I saw it and was like, oh, cool,
- 53:29Speaker 2: that's it. Yeah cool. I love that. Near the beginning
- 53:34Speaker 2: of the movie, when Sonny is arguing with his girlfriend,
- 53:38Speaker 2: she makes the comment that the delivery guys like your
- 53:41Speaker 2: best friend. Rob Schneider, who plays him, is actually Adam
- 53:45Speaker 2: Sandler's real life best friend. And I don't know that
- 53:47Speaker 2: I knew that, but that doesn't make sense.
- 53:50Speaker 3: I mean, he's I knew he was one of them.
- 53:52Speaker 2: They must have been close, I figured, but I guess
- 53:54Speaker 2: I didn't know.
- 53:54Speaker 3: Like figure m David Spade, Nick writzen, we're all pretty close.
- 53:58Speaker 2: Yeah, so that's pretty sod uh. But there was no
- 54:04Speaker 2: urination that happened on buildings in real life or plants.
- 54:07Speaker 2: It was faked with pocket sized pumps. So cool on
- 54:14Speaker 2: Just like you said, that really hit those piece, so
- 54:20Speaker 2: did they? They hit all the pea. Adam Sandler was
- 54:23Speaker 2: actually in tears during the scene where Julian gets taken.
- 54:26Speaker 3: Away looked like it.
- 54:30Speaker 2: Yeah, they were legit, and to be honest, that's all
- 54:34Speaker 2: the ones I had the.
- 54:36Speaker 3: Yeah, I did see some folks that were considered. Chris
- 54:41Speaker 3: Harley was originally attached to star, but he passed away
- 54:45Speaker 3: before production began.
- 54:46Speaker 2: So who was he going to be?
- 54:47Speaker 3: You think he could have been anybody?
- 54:50Speaker 2: That's true, you know, could have just been in his crew.
- 54:54Speaker 3: I mean, hell, it could have been his kid, honestly,
- 54:56Speaker 3: and that wouldn't have been that weird ye I saw
- 55:02Speaker 3: considered for Sonny was Ben Stiller, which makes a lot
- 55:06Speaker 3: of sense, especially at this time. For Lenny Kofax, some
- 55:13Speaker 3: really big names were thrown out, Bill Murray, Jack Nicholson,
- 55:17Speaker 3: Steve Martin, and Christopher Lloyd. Wow for a pretty small role.
- 55:26Speaker 3: And it looks like he personally asked Jack Nicholson to
- 55:30Speaker 3: play him, and it looks like Nicholson was flattered, but
- 55:37Speaker 3: he declined. He was in the middle of taking a
- 55:40Speaker 3: four year hiatus after As Good as It Gets where
- 55:43Speaker 3: he won the Oscar, but he did later on go
- 55:49Speaker 3: and star an Anger.
- 55:49Speaker 2: Management with him, so a much bigger part.
- 55:53Speaker 3: Yeah, and he was pretty great.
- 55:55Speaker 2: Yeah, he wasn't. I actually liked that movie. It's pretty good.
- 55:57Speaker 3: That might be like my last like silly goofy Sandler
- 56:02Speaker 3: comedy that I really enjoyed.
- 56:04Speaker 2: Nice. Yeah, that's a fun one.
- 56:07Speaker 3: Yeah, like I enjoyed it, but that was all I had.
- 56:10Speaker 2: Yeah, not a ton of trivia, so I'm with you.
- 56:13Speaker 3: Nice Yeah, a sequel, No, but they definitely could. Everyone
- 56:20Speaker 3: is still doing stuff, even those twins.
- 56:22Speaker 2: Dude, the twins have kids or the kid has kids
- 56:28Speaker 2: or something. Right, that'd be fun. Let's check it out.
- 56:32Speaker 3: Yeah, because what twenty five years later, Yeah, the gonna
- 56:35Speaker 3: be three something.
- 56:37Speaker 2: Probably it's Adam Sandler. We could find out that the
- 56:40Speaker 2: you know, the kid really did have a twin and
- 56:43Speaker 2: no one ever knew and he was raised somewhere else,
- 56:45Speaker 2: you know, like there you go. Yeah, the Sprouse Boys.
- 56:48Speaker 3: Back, right, but big Granddaddy.
- 56:53Speaker 2: Oh granddaddy. I love it. I love it. It rights
- 56:57Speaker 2: itself truly.
- 56:59Speaker 3: Surely some one has pitched this at least. Yeah, And
- 57:04Speaker 3: I mean he's made some yeah, questionable ones. He's made
- 57:08Speaker 3: some really good ones, but he's madeable ones.
- 57:10Speaker 2: Yeah, some of them are bad. Some of them are bad.
- 57:13Speaker 3: Although John Stewart hasn't really been doing a lot movie wise,
- 57:19Speaker 3: But I think all those other people are still going going.
- 57:22Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a good call. Nice, love it cool?
- 57:26Speaker 3: Well, do you want to play a game?
- 57:28Speaker 2: Yeah, let's play Yum.
- 57:30Speaker 3: I decided to send out a tweet a tweet and
- 57:35Speaker 3: figured we could do a last Man Stanton.
- 57:38Speaker 2: I love it tough, but I love it.
- 57:42Speaker 3: I love it, and it's going to be tougher because
- 57:44Speaker 3: I did not get a lot of responses.
- 57:47Speaker 2: Oh no, we sent it too late.
- 57:49Speaker 3: I sent it maybe a little too late.
- 57:52Speaker 2: That's okay, we'll figure it out.
- 57:54Speaker 3: So I'm going to list off some of these and
- 57:56Speaker 3: you can tell me who you think we should pick.
- 58:00Speaker 3: Our good friend j Michael Trautman, J Mack, who's been
- 58:04Speaker 3: on the show. He threw out Gary Oldman, which he's
- 58:08Speaker 3: a fantastic actor. We got Denzel, we got Ryan Reynolds,
- 58:16Speaker 3: George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Hugh Jackman, Anthony Hopkins, and Sean Connery.
- 58:26Speaker 2: Jake Gillian Hall.
- 58:30Speaker 3: I got a Doris Day, which I'm sorry, are you at?
- 58:34Speaker 2: Are you bowling?
- 58:37Speaker 3: We're not good with the old movie. And then I
- 58:42Speaker 3: have Keanu Reeves, Nicholas Cage, and Robin Williams. I'm pretty
- 58:46Speaker 3: sure we've done Nicholas Cage and Robin Williams.
- 58:49Speaker 2: I think we've done Keanu too.
- 58:51Speaker 3: Okay, so any of those bringing to doing one you wanted?
- 59:00Speaker 2: You can I throw a curveball at you. Sure we
- 59:05Speaker 2: could pick like five of these and play the Box
- 59:08Speaker 2: Office game, the Great Game. We could just come up
- 59:14Speaker 2: with our guesses and see what happens. I mean, I
- 59:16Speaker 2: don't know if that's better or not. Just an idea.
- 59:20Speaker 2: It's an idea. Otherwise, I'm happy to do. I'm happy
- 59:25Speaker 2: to do a lot of these. Actually, So which I guess,
- 59:27Speaker 2: which game do you prefer? I don't have a hard thing.
- 59:31Speaker 2: It just popped into my brain that we could do that.
- 59:34Speaker 3: I'll do whatever you want to do. You throw it
- 59:36Speaker 3: at you, you make I'm putting it on you. No,
- 59:43Speaker 3: you're the one.
- 59:45Speaker 2: You're the one. You're the one.
- 59:50Speaker 3: Okay, too long, let's do your box office thing. And
- 59:53Speaker 3: there is one person that gave me five actors' names,
- 59:57Speaker 3: and I think we're just going to do that it
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: thank you at E equals m C M two. They
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: gave us George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Hugh Jackman, Anthony Hopkins,
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: and Sean Connery.
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: Huge Ackman, Anthony Pitt.
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: Jackman, Hopkins, Connery.
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: Connery, thank you.
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: Should we go through and name them first, and then
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: we'll look at them all together? What's the best way.
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: Let's just go by.
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: Let's start with Clooney, Clooney, George Clooney. What's a bad
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: Clooney one?
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: I've got mine?
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: Okay, I have mine.
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: I'm gonna say the descendants, Okay, just because I don't.
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: I don't think I made a lot of money, but
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: maybe I probably didn't. I don't know.
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: I mean it was up for awards, so that's but
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: you picked it. I am gonna pick a movie called Selaris.
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: Wow S O L A R I S. Why did
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: I pick this game? This was dumb on my part.
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: You're so good at it. Okay, let's go.
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: Let's look at it office.
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: Where do I do it? So?
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: Where do you find it for the actors? Or do
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: you just go to the movies that we picked?
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: I know I can do it by actor, worldwide block office. Yep, Okay,
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: there we go.
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: Well, cut some of this out.
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: Yeah, what do you say? I'm gonna cut a lot
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: of it out. I'm sorry. Okay, good Man shouldn't have
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: come up with this dumb idea. It's my fault. The Descendants.
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: You said, the Descendants, Decendants holy in a lot of money. Okay,
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: one hundred and seventy five million.
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: That is more than I thought, not thinking it was
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: gonna be fe.
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: No, I will not.
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: I would guess one hundred million less than that. That
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: is very surprising.
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: Wild That movie sucked. It didn't suck, but I did
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: that sucked. But it was just kind of slow.
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: And you said Solaris Slaris.
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: I mean it's gotta be less than that. Fourteen million.
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: Yeah, okay to rob the winning get that for me.
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: That's good. Okay.
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: Now we have mister Bradley.
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: Bradley Pitt his smallest earning movie.
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: Mm hmmm. He's in a lot of bangers. He's in
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: a lot of bangers. He's done some weird ones.
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: Has he? M hmm. I'm not good at this game.
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: Why did I pick this game? Dumb?
- 1:03:17Speaker 3: It's fun, though, it is fun.
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: I have one.
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: Do you want me to go first?
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: I keep thinking of his smallest roles, but they're in
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: movies that made something are really big. Yeah. Right, So
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: it's like, no, don't do that. I will do Yeah,
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: I've got mine. Okay, I'm gonna do killing them softly?
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: I was thinking of that one.
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:03:43Speaker 3: I was kind of davous that that one was straight
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: to like whatever, Oh that's true. I'm not sure.
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: I think I saw it in a theater though.
- 1:03:52Speaker 3: Okay, that's a good one. I think that's a really
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: good one.
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: What did you have.
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: I'm gonna take California.
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: With a K. Well, I don't even know what that is.
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: It was him and Juliette Lewis, and it was like
- 1:04:06Speaker 3: really violent and just for like the R factor alone.
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: Huh.
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: I feel like I can might be okay for but
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: it's when a lot of people are going to the movies.
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: So I get you. I'm not sure, Bradley Pitt.
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: I feel like you might have won this one navigating.
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: So I said, killing them.
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: Softly, killing them softly? Thirty nine million seems pretty good.
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: That does seem good.
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: I think beatable, but seems good. And you said California
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: with a K, which made two point three million dollars. Damn.
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: I did better on that one too. There was three.
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: Movies that were better than the one you guessed. He
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: was in, something called The Voyage of Time. Didn't see that.
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: Hitting the ape Pecks.
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: I hadn't heard of the head either. He was just
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: a narrator in that, so I don't know if that counts.
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: Okay. And then nineteen hundred and ninety one something called
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: Johnny Swade.
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: Okay, so you did pretty great, cool and so good
- 1:05:16Speaker 3: about that.
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: I'm upset. I'm upset about it. I felt good.
- 1:05:22Speaker 3: Now we have our good man, Hugh Jackman.
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: Huge Ackman. Also tough for him. He's not in a
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: lot of like, uh, bummer movies I have, I have
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: no one. Okay, Oh, I'm scared. I have the title wrong.
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: I believe it's called movie twenty three.
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: Oh, it's movie forty three.
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: Forty three, sorry, forty three.
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: And that is gonna win. I did not think of that.
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: Oh yeah, he's definitely in it. I believe he has
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: a peepie on his schnaz.
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: No, he has a snaz.
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: Oh no, he's got balls on his GM. It's absurd,
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: of it's subsort of. I had to tell you joke.
- 1:06:07Speaker 3: I didn't see all of the things because some of
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: them were so bad, but that was by far the
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: funniest one.
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: Well, movie forty three, right, you said.
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: Yeah, movie forty three, that's gonna win for sure.
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: The only thing.
- 1:06:22Speaker 3: The only thing I can think of is Real Steel was.
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: Not great cool. I didn't hate that, but I would
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: take Movie forty three over that. Yeah, I hate that movie.
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: Uh it's it's a little slow, so we're navigating, we're
- 1:06:38Speaker 3: getting there.
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: It's all be cool.
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: I think you got this one.
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: Brah.
- 1:06:43Speaker 3: What's so I said, movie movie forty.
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: Three, forty three three, Movie forty three, Mate thirty two million.
- 1:06:57Speaker 3: Actually, that is so much more than I thought it
- 1:07:01Speaker 3: would be.
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: I'm surprised by that, me too, dude. Although there was
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: a lot of famous people out I guess. Yeah, but
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: Real Steal made just a hair under three hundred million
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: dollars worldwide. Apparently. I can't believe what I know, but
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: it's apparently true.
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: That is honestly shocking to me.
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: I mean, that is shocking. It's like a robot movie,
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: so maybe people know it.
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: That is shocking. I cannot even believe that.
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: That is un I swear, I'm wing to you. That
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: is what this says.
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: The other one that I thought, but I thought just
- 1:07:52Speaker 3: because of the rom com crowd and so many people
- 1:07:55Speaker 3: could go to it was someone like you. It was
- 1:07:58Speaker 3: him and Ashley Judd. It was the other one that
- 1:08:01Speaker 3: I thought of that.
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: Made just slightly more of than movie thirty three by okay,
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: three million.
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: It looks okay, okay, nice, it.
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: Looks it finally loaded. Oh he was in Butter, that
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: twenty twelve movie that only never saw a thousand dollars.
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: Oh wow. Oh he was in that bad.
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: Education movie that was an HBO Max movie, but that
- 1:08:25Speaker 3: made it must have been released.
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: In like two theaters because it made a little bit.
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I did think of that one. I was like, well,
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: that was a streaming movie.
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: Oh you saw Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, right,
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: I did. He was in that that that only made
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: nine million. Okay you okay, I'm not gonna look at that,
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: but I'm gonna let the computer.
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: Start looking for Anthony Hopkins. Anthony Hopkins. I have a
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: good one for Anthony Hopkins.
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: Oh damn it.
- 1:08:56Speaker 3: I don't whenever he's come up before in the movie,
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: Grid used this one and it it works.
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: We don't remember this movie. Yeah, all right, I'll just
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: go with the Father. Okay. I don't think it made
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: a lot, but I'm sure it made so. Yeah.
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: The one that I thought of was The Road to Wellville.
- 1:09:19Speaker 3: Which Oh wow, that one got panned hard.
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: I've heard of it.
- 1:09:27Speaker 3: I remember being because I was excited for it because
- 1:09:29Speaker 3: Dana Carvey was in it, and that was like Kim
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: at his peak snlka, and then it just yeah, I
- 1:09:36Speaker 3: got every movie he made man aside from Wayne's.
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: Room was just a bomber. That's true. Okay, let's see
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: here the Road to Wellville. So the Father thirty six million, respectable,
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: that is, yeah, but the Road to Wellville six point
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: four mil.
- 1:10:01Speaker 3: Nicely done, dude, thank you, sir.
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: Close to his bottom. Although he's got quite a few here,
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: I don't really know any of them. Oh, Freud's last
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: session only made two point four million. I never saw that.
- 1:10:14Speaker 3: That's a reason I think that's really recent, right, yeah
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: twenty three Yeah, I didn't didn't see it.
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: You know, eive all two popes would have been a
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: good one. Again streaming, streaming, but showed overseas those are tricky. Oh,
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: I should come up with a better way to do that.
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: M anyway, that's fun.
- 1:10:39Speaker 3: Uh.
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: And Connery's our last one.
- 1:10:41Speaker 3: Connery is the last one.
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: Boy. I don't have a lot of deep pulls for
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: Sean Kolnover.
- 1:10:51Speaker 3: I have one, but it might have done well. I
- 1:10:56Speaker 3: I have a bad movie. Yeah, it's both.
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: I'm just gonna say Finding Forrester, even though I don't
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: think it's.
- 1:11:08Speaker 3: Right that probably I think that one did okay, eighty
- 1:11:12Speaker 3: or ninety million or something.
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: I just feel like.
- 1:11:15Speaker 3: The money they put behind it, because it was I
- 1:11:17Speaker 3: felt like the trailers were ever when it came out. Yeah,
- 1:11:22Speaker 3: I'm nervous. I'm nervous because the one that I'm thinking
- 1:11:25Speaker 3: of was a Michael Creyton novel had Wesley Snipes in it,
- 1:11:30Speaker 3: but I don't think it did very well. And it
- 1:11:33Speaker 3: was a movie called Rising Sun.
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I've heard of Yah. I don't think I
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: ever saw that though.
- 1:11:40Speaker 3: I was reading that book in like fifth grade, and
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: I think my teacher had read it and was like,
- 1:11:49Speaker 3: talking to my parents, are like, there's some very adult
- 1:11:51Speaker 3: things in this.
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: Book, and.
- 1:11:56Speaker 3: He's he seems to be fine with that stuff. Okay,
- 1:12:01Speaker 3: But yeah, Finding You're still now dog eighty million right
- 1:12:09Speaker 3: in the.
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: Area we were talking, So that's good, that's not great.
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: And you said Rising Sun, Wow, this was closer than
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: I thought. Rising Sun made sixty three million dollars. I mean,
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: you were right to be a little question those were
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: big names too, yeah, really big names. And I think
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: it might have been like right after Jurassic Park two,
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: so like Michael, everybody was thinking about Michael Creighton and
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: in fact, dude, you're only two movies below me. That's
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: pretty crazy. Yeah. Crazy.
- 1:12:44Speaker 3: I was thinking of a random one called Medicine Man
- 1:12:47Speaker 3: that I never saw, but I can picture. I can
- 1:12:52Speaker 3: picture the the cover of the VHS. It was like, nice,
- 1:12:57Speaker 3: am I going to get this one this week? And
- 1:13:00Speaker 3: I just never did forty five million? That would have
- 1:13:03Speaker 3: been better.
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: It was better. That was better trying to look at
- 1:13:06Speaker 2: what I don't know a lot of these.
- 1:13:11Speaker 3: They're like older ones, right, yeah, yeah, but I can
- 1:13:14Speaker 3: just picture that at Main Street videos. So funny, isn't
- 1:13:19Speaker 3: that funny how some of those memories really stick around? Well,
- 1:13:23Speaker 3: you shall act me, buddy, you won four to one.
- 1:13:26Speaker 3: At least I got one you did. I got movie
- 1:13:30Speaker 3: Movie forty three was a deep bowl that I would
- 1:13:33Speaker 3: never have thought of like that, like that, I'm gonna
- 1:13:35Speaker 3: have to remember that for the movie grade.
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: Yeah. I never forget a ball on the gin, never,
- 1:13:44Speaker 2: even though I didn't remember it was a ball in
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: the gin.
- 1:13:46Speaker 3: Said just a quote, just a standalone quote. Never forget
- 1:13:54Speaker 3: a ball at it.
