- 0:00Dayna Roselli: It is episode 339 of Vegas Revealed.
- 0:03Dayna Roselli: The deals are on during the five-day Vegas sale.
- 0:06Sean McAllister: Another show is announced at Hara's Las Vegas.
- 0:09Sean McAllister: This one will put you in the holiday spirit for sure.
- 0:12Dayna Roselli: I hit up a Michelin recommended Korean steakhouse, and already I want to go back.
- 0:17Sean McAllister: There's a new family pass for a fun attraction on the strip.
- 0:22Dayna Roselli: And we mentioned Oktoberfest at the Hoffbra House.
- 0:25Dayna Roselli: And this episode, we're going to tell you more about the restaurant and entertainment hall that's a permanent fixture here in Las Vegas.
- 0:31Dayna Roselli: The food, the music, the beer, we cover it all.
- 0:35Sean McAllister: And one show extends and another announces final dates.
- 0:39Dayna Roselli: Let's get to it now on Vegas Revealed.
- 0:42Dayna Roselli: Welcome to Vegas Revealed, episode 339.
- 0:46Dayna Roselli: Dayna Roselli and Sean McAllister here, ready to talk Vegas deals.
- 0:50Dayna Roselli: Before we get to that, Sean, a sidebar conversation that you and I have had a lot over the last week.
- 0:57Dayna Roselli: And it's about how people are supposed to know that there are deals out there and things you can do as locals.
- 1:04Dayna Roselli: Because we've run into a couple things that made us think.
- 1:24Sean McAllister: And we've mentioned it to uh to some friends, and they're like, wait, that's a thing?
- 1:29Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 1:30Dayna Roselli: People don't know.
- 1:31Dayna Roselli: And it's weird, we get the releases, and even us, like because we see so many deals, like sometimes we forget, even like there's 20% off at uh Park MGM, the restaurants, like Sunday through Thursday or something.
- 1:41Dayna Roselli: I ate there recently.
- 1:42Dayna Roselli: I'm like, oh, I know I I forgot about that.
- 1:44Dayna Roselli: Because you know, you glance, but you hop around so much, and especially when you're here either on vacation or you are a local and you're going, you forget.
- 1:53Dayna Roselli: And yes, I had a friend yesterday also ask me as I was scanning my license to leave a parking garage on the strip.
- 2:00Dayna Roselli: Um, I stopped to slide the ticket in and then scan my license.
- 2:04Dayna Roselli: And she's like, What are you doing?
- 2:05Dayna Roselli: I'm like, Well, you know, the local parking.
- 2:07Dayna Roselli: And she goes, See, I would have had no idea that I had to scan my license.
- 2:10Dayna Roselli: And so I thought, yeah, I guess maybe a lot of people don't.
- 2:14Dayna Roselli: And especially because every parking garage is kind of different, too.
- 2:17Sean McAllister: It is.
- 2:18Dayna Roselli: So how do you know?
- 2:20Dayna Roselli: I mean, we spread the word, but not everyone is listening to a Vegas Revealed podcast.
- 2:24Dayna Roselli: Not everyone is reading the paper.
- 2:26Dayna Roselli: Maybe it but our point is before you come to Las Vegas or if you live here, take some time and go through the different properties that you visit a lot and look on their pages.
- 2:38Sean McAllister: And just simply ask, especially if you're a Las Vegas local.
- 2:42Sean McAllister: Um, just ask if there is a local's discount.
- 2:47Sean McAllister: Because admittedly, we don't uh talk about every single uh uh discount thing that comes through, because a lot of them do have very specific uh qualifying windows.
- 2:59Sean McAllister: So like Tuesday through Thursday from 5 p.m.
- 3:04Sean McAllister: to 7 p.m.
- 3:05Sean McAllister: And then again from nine to like if they're too much, it can get really convoluted.
- 3:10Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 3:10Sean McAllister: So bottom line, just ask.
- 3:12Sean McAllister: And especially if you're a senior, if you're military, if you're a first responder, if you're a teacher, those are also uh regular discounts that a lot of places do offer, even if you're not a Las Vegas local.
- 3:26Sean McAllister: So uh when you're going to an attraction, a restaurant, even hotels, um, just ask for those certain discounts.
- 3:34Dayna Roselli: Yeah, or go online before you go.
- 3:35Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 3:35Dayna Roselli: But yeah, ask.
- 3:36Dayna Roselli: Because some of them do say you have to book online for the that's another thing.
- 3:41Sean McAllister: Only available online.
- 3:42Sean McAllister: Only available, some are only available in person.
- 3:45Sean McAllister: True.
- 3:45Sean McAllister: Some are only available at the box office.
- 3:47Sean McAllister: So we always say there are deals out there to be had.
- 3:52Sean McAllister: It can be time consuming to track them down, but if you're looking for a deal, then maybe the time to track it down is worth it.
- 4:01Sean McAllister: And they are out there.
- 4:02Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 4:03Dayna Roselli: Listen, Vegas Revealed is always free Monday through Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
- 4:11Dayna Roselli: Share with your friends.
- 4:13Dayna Roselli: We have no locals discount.
- 4:15Sean McAllister: And these are the kinds of conversations that Dana and I have when we're sitting here at our desks during the day.
- 4:20Sean McAllister: And we yell out Wait a second.
- 4:23Dayna Roselli: Wait.
- 4:24Dayna Roselli: I know we scream sometimes like if something affected us.
- 4:28Dayna Roselli: Oh man, we are an interesting office here too.
- 4:32Sean McAllister: We should just record a day in the life.
- 4:34Sean McAllister: Oh my.
- 4:34Sean McAllister: Although maybe we shouldn't be able to do that.
- 4:35Sean McAllister: I don't think we can.
- 4:36Sean McAllister: I don't think we can.
- 4:36Sean McAllister: No, maybe we shouldn't.
- 4:40Dayna Roselli: All right, well, let's talk sales.
- 4:41Dayna Roselli: We told you last week the five five-day sale was kicking off on September 22nd.
- 4:46Dayna Roselli: It is in full force.
- 4:47Dayna Roselli: Um, you can go over to the website and check out all the deals for yourself.
- 4:52Dayna Roselli: Uh, depends on when you're listening to this.
- 4:54Dayna Roselli: The deals could be over, they could still be going.
- 4:56Dayna Roselli: Um, but it started September 22nd, and it is a five-day sale and tons of stuff all across Vegas.
- 5:06Dayna Roselli: Um again, with different kinds of rules and different kinds of things going on, so you gotta sort through.
- 5:13Dayna Roselli: Um, but some amazing, amazing discounts.
- 5:16Sean McAllister: Yeah, you can get up to 60% off of uh hotel stays at uh MGM resorts or properties.
- 5:24Sean McAllister: Uh different properties have different percentages off.
- 5:27Sean McAllister: So again, you have to look at the deals um to see the specifics.
- 5:31Sean McAllister: But there's also deals on entertainment, there's deals on dining, there's deals on attractions.
- 5:37Sean McAllister: So this is a good time.
- 5:40Sean McAllister: If you're planning to come to Las Vegas, make sure that you take advantage of the uh five-day sale.
- 5:47Sean McAllister: Hopefully, you're listening before the 26th so that you can uh take advantage.
- 5:52Sean McAllister: Time is running out on this.
- 5:54Sean McAllister: Um, but this is a good time to lock in some savings as you plan your next visit.
- 6:01Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so it's visit losvegas.com backslash five days.
- 6:05Dayna Roselli: That's where you want to go.
- 6:07Dayna Roselli: Also, when I was glancing at one of the MGM uh deals, I did notice their specific travel window for bookings.
- 6:15Dayna Roselli: It goes through August 31st of 2027.
- 6:18Dayna Roselli: So I was glad to see that.
- 6:19Dayna Roselli: Pretty wide.
- 6:20Dayna Roselli: I saw they have uh discounts on um New Kids on the Block tickets, 25% off, select performances, Mary J.
- 6:26Dayna Roselli: Blige, and then O, which is a really rare offer, a Cirque du Soleil show over a Bellagio, up to 20% off that show during the five-day event.
- 6:35Dayna Roselli: So get on there, spread the word, tell your friends, all the good stuff.
- 6:38Dayna Roselli: Uh Sean and I did a big satellite media tour promoting it.
- 6:42Dayna Roselli: Um we did like 20, 20 plus stations across the country to let everyone know about the five-day sale.
- 6:48Dayna Roselli: It was always it's always fun to do those and talk with the different cities.
- 6:51Dayna Roselli: They get so excited to talk about Vegas.
- 6:53Sean McAllister: I mean, people do.
- 6:53Sean McAllister: People love uh Las Vegas, they love to see uh Las Vegas, especially live.
- 6:59Sean McAllister: Um so it is.
- 7:01Sean McAllister: And again, it's a great opportunity.
- 7:02Sean McAllister: Uh visit lasvegas.com slash five days.
- 7:06Sean McAllister: Um, and if you are catching this uh podcast episode beyond uh past September 26th, visit Las Vegas.com also has another deals page uh that where they update uh Las Vegas deals all the time.
- 7:23Sean McAllister: So if you miss the five day sale, there there is a deals page where where you can look for some other offers too.
- 7:31Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 7:31Dayna Roselli: All right, I went to uh Coat Vegas yesterday, C-O-T-E is how you spell it.
- 7:37Dayna Roselli: It's over at the Venetian, and boy, Sean, I walked into this restaurant I hadn't been before, and it was stunning.
- 7:44Sean McAllister: I'm having a little FOMO after hearing what you your experience over there.
- 7:49Dayna Roselli: Yes, I was like, wow.
- 7:51Dayna Roselli: Now this is a Michelin acclaimed Michelin-starred restaurant.
- 7:55Dayna Roselli: Uh they have in New York City, in the Flatiron District, I think it is.
- 7:58Dayna Roselli: Um, and they have one in Las Vegas now, and it's definitely Michelin recommended as well.
- 8:04Dayna Roselli: It's a Korean barbecue and American steakhouse, but boy, it is stunning inside.
- 8:09Dayna Roselli: I and it's big.
- 8:11Dayna Roselli: And it was full.
- 8:12Dayna Roselli: This was uh when did I go?
- 8:13Dayna Roselli: Thursday night.
- 8:14Dayna Roselli: It's absolutely stunning.
- 8:15Dayna Roselli: And we went there for an event.
- 8:17Dayna Roselli: Uh it was up in one of their sky boxes, uh and the food they were passing around was some of the best food I've ever had in my life.
- 8:23Dayna Roselli: The juiciest steak, chicken nuggets with truffle and caviar.
- 8:28Sean McAllister: Oh my gosh.
- 8:28Dayna Roselli: I had this fried chicken little slider salmon.
- 8:31Dayna Roselli: It was absolutely delicious.
- 8:33Dayna Roselli: The drinks were great, um, just beautiful.
- 8:36Dayna Roselli: Uh, I just highly recommend and the staff, so nice.
- 8:40Dayna Roselli: I know why it's recommended by Michelin now.
- 8:42Sean McAllister: Well, and I saw uh you showed me one of the pictures that you took uh from the skybox, and I love the setup of the restaurant.
- 8:49Sean McAllister: There's like a circular bar in the middle, and then dining all around.
- 8:54Sean McAllister: So it really makes kind of a focal point, and you get to see the rest of the restaurant while you're dining.
- 9:02Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 9:03Sean McAllister: It's not like you're looking at a wall.
- 9:04Dayna Roselli: No, no, it's stunning.
- 9:06Dayna Roselli: Everything, even from the stairs, like the lights up the stairs.
- 9:09Dayna Roselli: And I saw a lot of notable people using some of the rooms they have there too for for kind of meetings and food and cocktails.
- 9:16Dayna Roselli: I won't say who, but as I was leaving, I was like, oh, what's going on in there?
- 9:20Dayna Roselli: Um so it's definitely a little who's who.
- 9:22Sean McAllister: You saw some wheelings and dealings happening.
- 9:24Dayna Roselli: I saw some wheelings and dealings.
- 9:26Dayna Roselli: So anyway, Coat Vegas.
- 9:29Dayna Roselli: If you want a special night out, you want some incredible food.
- 9:32Dayna Roselli: I need to go back.
- 9:34Dayna Roselli: I know it's gonna be pricey, but sometime this year I need to go back to Co.
- 9:38Dayna Roselli: It's worth it.
- 9:39Sean McAllister: Well, and while you were over at Coat, I was in the arts district in downtown Las Vegas.
- 9:44Sean McAllister: I went over to the Doberman.
- 9:46Sean McAllister: Uh, the Nevada ballet was having a little bit of a mixer to announce their uh new ballet season.
- 9:55Sean McAllister: Um, and I had never been over to the Doberman before, and it is a great uh lounge, and the inside is like they have a lot of um taxidermy on the walls and really unique uh trinkets all around.
- 10:14Sean McAllister: This massive, really cool chandelier uh in one of the rooms, really great uh banquettes and booth areas, uh kind of dimly lit, like velvet uh wallpaper on the walls.
- 10:29Sean McAllister: Great spot, highly recommend going over there.
- 10:32Sean McAllister: Great uh mixology program.
- 10:34Sean McAllister: Um so check out the Doberman if you're looking for something uh downtown, and also uh if you're looking for something uh arts related, check out the Nevada Ballet Theaters uh new lineup of shows and programs.
- 10:50Sean McAllister: And of course, around the holidays, uh they're doing George Balanchine's Nutcracker again this year as well.
- 10:56Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 10:56Dayna Roselli: Always good.
- 10:56Dayna Roselli: Uh they got a lot coming up at the Smith Center.
- 10:59Dayna Roselli: I was looking at some of the lineup that we were just talking about in the TV show.
- 11:03Dayna Roselli: I don't know the details in front of me, but that William Shakespeare um Romeo and Julia that they're bringing to life.
- 11:09Dayna Roselli: Yeah, Basler Mint.
- 11:10Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 11:11Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that looks good.
- 11:12Sean McAllister: It's like the movie soundtrack they'll be doing live on stage.
- 11:17Dayna Roselli: Sounds great.
- 11:17Dayna Roselli: I think it's in February, one day only.
- 11:19Dayna Roselli: So look it up at the Smith Center.
- 11:20Dayna Roselli: Hey, Clay Aiken is returning to the Harris Showroom uh for December, doing a show called Joyful Noise, a five-show holiday engagement marking um the recording artists and entertainers' first ever Las Vegas residency.
- 11:35Dayna Roselli: So I guess when they say returning, so he maybe did a one-off.
- 11:39Sean McAllister: Yeah, Clay has been in and out of town over the years for sure.
- 11:43Dayna Roselli: Okay, but he's doing five shows, so a five holiday engagement.
- 11:47Dayna Roselli: And I guess we're calling it a residency.
- 11:49Dayna Roselli: Um, but um, it follows his sorry, I'm not being sarcastic there, but we've been here a long time, and sometimes when there's short runs.
- 11:56Sean McAllister: Well, no, we and we just talked about this too.
- 11:58Sean McAllister: The the changing face of the entertainment scene and how residency, the word residency is being slapped on to limited engagements, it's being slapped on to whatever kind of run that you're having these days.
- 12:14Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
- 12:15Sean McAllister: It's not not like the old days.
- 12:17Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 12:17Dayna Roselli: Oh, I know, it's different.
- 12:19Dayna Roselli: So anyway, we giggle at that as old timers.
- 12:22Dayna Roselli: Anyway, uh Aiken did do okay, so he did do a July performance this summer, um, and it was Christmas in July.
- 12:29Dayna Roselli: So he's returning.
- 12:30Dayna Roselli: Uh, this will be great, December 18th to the 23rd.
- 12:32Dayna Roselli: I mean, listen, he's great, and I just think he will bring all the holiday fun.
- 12:36Dayna Roselli: He definitely has a good kind of, you know, persona, good entertainer, singer.
- 12:44Dayna Roselli: I loved Clay watching him on American Idol back in the day.
- 12:47Sean McAllister: Well, Enjoyful Noise is uh a good title for his for his show.
- 12:52Sean McAllister: So calling all of you claymates.
- 12:55Dayna Roselli: Is that what they callmates?
- 12:56Sean McAllister: That's what his fans are called, the claymates.
- 12:58Dayna Roselli: I love it.
- 12:59Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 13:00Sean McAllister: So get out here, make your holiday plans with Clay Aiken, December 18th through the 23rd over at Harris.
- 13:09Sean McAllister: All right.
- 13:10Dayna Roselli: We're gonna be talking to Donnie Osman over at Harris soon, too.
- 13:13Dayna Roselli: So we'll uh keep you posted on that.
- 13:15Dayna Roselli: If you've got questions for Donnie, text us.
- 13:17Dayna Roselli: We got a link in our show notes.
- 13:18Dayna Roselli: Um, listen, there's a family pass that they just announced over at Play Playground, and this is a fun spot at Luxor.
- 13:25Dayna Roselli: It's like all the old games that are larger than life, um, but there's also like a bar if you want to drink.
- 13:31Dayna Roselli: So it's got like something for everyone, but there's also times where it's you know also good for the kids.
- 13:36Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 13:37Dayna Roselli: Um, but they are doing a family pass, and this package includes four general admission play passes uh for $129.
- 13:45Dayna Roselli: So it's a little over $32 per person before taxes and fees.
- 13:50Dayna Roselli: And you know, they get to go through all the interactive experiences, um, and parents and kids you know, encouraged to move, laugh, lean into the movement, have a whole big day out.
- 14:00Dayna Roselli: So it sounds really fun, and it's available Saturday and Sundays from 11 a.m.
- 14:05Dayna Roselli: to 7 p.m.
- 14:06Dayna Roselli: And then Monday through Friday from noon to 7 p.m.
- 14:09Dayna Roselli: So it sounds like after 7 p.m.
- 14:11Dayna Roselli: it'll be more of the adults only adults only, yeah.
- 14:13Dayna Roselli: Because that's how they started out there, right?
- 14:15Dayna Roselli: Wasn't it adults only?
- 14:16Sean McAllister: Yeah, it started out being strictly adults only because they had the bar open and all that.
- 14:22Sean McAllister: Um, but it is a great, it's a great place and so nostalgic.
- 14:27Sean McAllister: Like when you go in there, they have a a life size, a larger than life version of operation, like where you try and pick the little pieces out of the little uh patient without hitting the sides and buzzing out.
- 14:41Sean McAllister: Um so they've got things like that, they've got like bounce house things, there's a lot of team uh activities, partner activities to try and accomplish a task.
- 14:52Sean McAllister: It's a it's a really cool uh attraction over there.
- 14:56Sean McAllister: And for families, it it is it would be a good time.
- 15:00Dayna Roselli: It would be.
- 15:00Dayna Roselli: And it's uh over at the atrium level at Luxor Hotel and Casino, FYI.
- 15:06Sean McAllister: Hey, we just got uh an alert that uh a show that we've gone over uh to see over at the Rio is extending uh for quite some time.
- 15:16Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 15:17Sean McAllister: Uh the Empire Strips Back Burlesque Parody is going to be playing over at the Rio Hotel and Casino through May 4th, 2029.
- 15:28unknown: Wow.
- 15:28Sean McAllister: Now, and May 4th, of course, May the Fourth be with you is like the international Star Wars Day of Celebration.
- 15:37Sean McAllister: So the burlesque parody show has kind of adopted that as a uh a day to call all Star Wars fans in.
- 15:45Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 15:45Sean McAllister: And it really is a creative uh show, the way that they uh incorporate uh you know everything from the movie franchise into this stage performance and mix it with modern music too.
- 15:59Dayna Roselli: I love the music, it makes it fun.
- 16:01Dayna Roselli: The crowd goes wild, you know.
- 16:02Sean McAllister: The soundtrack is great.
- 16:03Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's a good and then you know, them doing the things.
- 16:06Sean McAllister: Yeah, all the th all the things.
- 16:07Dayna Roselli: If you want to see, I think it's on our YouTube uh for sure.
- 16:10Dayna Roselli: We've got that story up on there.
- 16:11Dayna Roselli: If you want to watch and kind of our recap, and we did some interviews on Empire Strips back, but yeah, it's there till May 4th, 2029.
- 16:18Dayna Roselli: Good for them.
- 16:19Dayna Roselli: It's nice to hear uh, you know, shows extending, and I would call that a medium-sized show, and we talked about that.
- 16:24Dayna Roselli: Absolutely recently, how though a lot of those medium-sized shows are going away.
- 16:28Dayna Roselli: So good to hear, and they had to they had to go seven days a week and like two shows a night or something, they're doing so well.
- 16:34Sean McAllister: Yeah, there was a lot of demand for that.
- 16:36Sean McAllister: So we love to see that.
- 16:38Sean McAllister: Uh, one other thing that uh just popped into our inbox too.
- 16:43Sean McAllister: Uh this is over at Treasure Island.
- 16:45Sean McAllister: The Jets are doing a weekly residency performance over at the Treasure Island Ballroom.
- 16:52Sean McAllister: Tickets starting at just around 40 bucks, so that's a reasonable uh ticket price.
- 16:57Sean McAllister: This is uh an 80s and 90s tribute band.
- 17:02Dayna Roselli: I like a good tribute.
- 17:04Dayna Roselli: We say this every every time we hear it.
- 17:06Sean McAllister: Because you know you're gonna get all the hits.
- 17:07Dayna Roselli: You're gonna know all the songs.
- 17:09Sean McAllister: So, and it looks like a really fun show.
- 17:13Sean McAllister: Right.
- 17:13Sean McAllister: I I have not gone to see them yet, but this is on Saturdays.
- 17:18Sean McAllister: Every Saturday, really, their calendar has them on through uh January 9th.
- 17:24Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 17:24Sean McAllister: Right now.
- 17:25Sean McAllister: Uh presumably they'll be they'll be going beyond that.
- 17:29Sean McAllister: But the shows start at 6 30, so it's kind of an early show, too.
- 17:32Dayna Roselli: It's a fun night out.
- 17:33Sean McAllister: It'll get you jazzed up to be spit back out into Las Vegas around eight o'clock and then really ramp things up.
- 17:42Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I mean, it sounds great.
- 17:43Dayna Roselli: I mean, depending on, you know, age groups, maybe you want to have dinner before, go to this, and that's the end of your night, or maybe you wanna go to this, have dinner after, gamble after, have more drinks, whatever you want to do.
- 17:54Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 17:55Dayna Roselli: So it sounds fun.
- 17:56Dayna Roselli: Um, hey, listen, we talked about um Oktoberfest here on the audio podcast and in the TV show.
- 18:02Dayna Roselli: Uh, it's a huge thing over at the Hofburg House Las Vegas.
- 18:05Dayna Roselli: Now, a lot of people wrote to us and said, Oh, we didn't even know this place was there, even though it's been there so long.
- 18:10Dayna Roselli: Um, but it's the exact replica of the one in Munich, Germany, and it is massive.
- 18:16Dayna Roselli: So we actually went in and we want to share this piece with you because we went through all the things.
- 18:23Dayna Roselli: We we talked about everything that they offer, all the different uh foods and what makes it fun, and how there's a party every day and all the things.
- 18:32Dayna Roselli: And we did a story for the TV show.
- 18:35Sean McAllister: And we even tried the reason bleed in it.
- 18:37Dayna Roselli: Well, see, I don't even know how you remember these words.
- 18:40Dayna Roselli: Well, you're gonna hear in this story that we're gonna share right now that um I had a little trouble with it.
- 18:46Dayna Roselli: Enjoy.
- 18:50Speaker: When you come in and you see the high ceilings, and especially at night when the band is playing, you're like, I just wanted to go out for dinner.
- 18:59Speaker: Wow, now I'm in the middle of this experience.
- 19:02Speaker: It transports you back to Munich, to Bavaria, and you don't have a feeling that you're in Las Vegas.
- 19:08Speaker: Now you think you're in Germany.
- 19:10Speaker: It's kind of an attraction.
- 19:11Speaker: Yes, that's what we always love to say.
- 19:13Speaker: It's not only a restaurant, it's an attraction.
- 19:15Speaker: You're right.
- 19:15Speaker: So we fall into two categories.
- 19:18Speaker: Maybe three of you come on the bar.
- 19:19Speaker: The Munich Plummer is the uh most popular thing on the daily special menu because uh you can share with two, but a lot of men like to eat it by themselves.
- 19:32Speaker: The chefs in our kitchen are trained in Germany and they work here now.
- 19:37Speaker: We have German Bavarian authentic food, sausages, mitsel, pretzels, we import the sauerkraut from Germany, as well as the beer.
- 19:45Speaker: So the beer is coming from the Hofbury Brewery in Munich, Germany, and then we tap it here and serve it fresh for the guests.
- 19:52Speaker: Ice cold.
- 19:53Dayna Roselli: So listen, a reason beat.
- 19:55Dayna Roselli: Am I sending it right?
- 19:56Dayna Roselli: Am I sending it right?
- 19:58Dayna Roselli: Riesenbreak.
- 19:59Dayna Roselli: A reason beat.
- 20:02Dayna Roselli: It's my dam.
- 20:05Dayna Roselli: This looks delicious.
- 20:06Sean McAllister: Whether you come on a dad or you come on a pretzel, it's still good.
- 20:10Sean McAllister: You ready to dig into this?
- 20:11Dayna Roselli: I'm ready to dig in.
- 20:12Dayna Roselli: Let's do it.
- 20:20Speaker: The beetle garden in the back is endorsing temperature controls.
- 20:24Speaker: And Munich Germany would find that to be outdoors.
- 20:27Speaker: Um, too hot in Las Vegas, so they build it indoors, and it has um trees in there, and chestnut trees actually with sleeves on them that we haven't made them put on.
- 20:39Speaker: It's really incredible.
- 20:40Speaker: It's it's another 400 people, so even if you're not in the main hall with all the extras and the lifeboat, it's still fun in there, especially for daytime, or to not be in all the loud and craziness, but still be part of the experience.
- 20:54Speaker: And then for the cactippers, we actually switched to TV so you can still see what's happening in the main hall.
- 21:00Speaker: Starting in 2004, uh, we had celebrity cactippers, and they were coming ever since.
- 21:08Speaker: And uh it all started with Sigrid and Roy, but there were also guests like uh the tippiness that come every year, the Fantasy Girls who response talk.
- 21:17Speaker: Pamela Anderson has been here.
- 21:19Speaker: Um, and we collect them all on our wall.
- 21:22Speaker: So when you're here, you want to make sure you go through the main hall, make it right towards the restrooms, and take a quick look at the Wall of Fame.
- 21:29Speaker: We would love for everybody to come down and experience it at least once in your life.
- 21:40Sean McAllister: So you didn't remember the reason Britton?
- 21:43Dayna Roselli: No, I didn't.
- 21:44Sean McAllister: I mean I'm I'm I know that I'm even butchering it.
- 21:46Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I it was so good though.
- 21:48Dayna Roselli: That big pretzel, that beer cheese.
- 21:50Sean McAllister: We definitely did butcher that pretzel.
- 21:52Dayna Roselli: We did.
- 21:52Dayna Roselli: It was great.
- 21:53Sean McAllister: That cheese, though, there was uh like a brie.
- 21:56Sean McAllister: There was one, there's the beer cheese, but then there was like a brie.
- 21:59Sean McAllister: Cheese too that was delicious.
- 22:03Sean McAllister: Oh my gosh.
- 22:04Dayna Roselli: I had been in there a long time ago, but when we actually went in, you know, at a time that uh because we went in the morning when it wasn't super busy so we could see all the stuff and talk with the staff.
- 22:12Dayna Roselli: Um I was impressed.
- 22:14Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 22:14Dayna Roselli: It's really nice.
- 22:15Dayna Roselli: That beer garden is nice.
- 22:17Sean McAllister: It is.
- 22:18Dayna Roselli: And the parties they have there.
- 22:20Dayna Roselli: So here's the deal Oktoberfest goes to October 31st.
- 22:23Dayna Roselli: But it's kind of Oktoberfest all year round there.
- 22:26Dayna Roselli: But, you know, the actual keg tappings and the they have extra live music and that kind of thing.
- 22:32Dayna Roselli: Um, but they have f uh always have a free parking lot there and it's big.
- 22:35Dayna Roselli: So FYI, you can pull right in.
- 22:37Dayna Roselli: It's uh Harmon in Paradise, right across from Virgin Hotels, Las Vegas.
- 22:42Dayna Roselli: Um, and she did mention that during Oktoberfest they have free valet because they know it gets busy.
- 22:47Sean McAllister: I'm excited that um my sister is coming into town in October, and this is going to be the perfect place to take her.
- 22:56Sean McAllister: She's gonna have so much fun over there.
- 22:58Sean McAllister: Well, we all are.
- 22:59Sean McAllister: We're gonna have a blast.
- 23:00Sean McAllister: I think that's gonna be a a great time.
- 23:02Sean McAllister: So if you do live here and you have family coming into town, this is one of those places where you can go, you can have a meal and a party and a show kind of all mixed into one.
- 23:14Dayna Roselli: Mm-hmm.
- 23:14Dayna Roselli: Definitely.
- 23:15Dayna Roselli: It's a good time.
- 23:16Sean McAllister: It is.
- 23:16Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 23:17Dayna Roselli: And it's a great place, like you're said, to take people that are in town.
- 23:20Dayna Roselli: They don't have that anywhere else.
- 23:23Dayna Roselli: No, I mean they might-ish.
- 23:25Sean McAllister: Well, there might be some kind of a uh Bavarian-themed something, yeah, but you don't have the world's only exact replica of the Hofburg house outside of Munich, Germany.
- 23:36Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 23:37Sean McAllister: You don't have it because we do.
- 23:38Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 23:39Dayna Roselli: There you have it.
- 23:41Dayna Roselli: Well, we already told you there was a whole lineup of celebrity keg tappers, which makes me think we should do celebrity news with a Vegas twist.
- 23:49Dayna Roselli: Well, listen, we went to see Mary J.
- 23:53Dayna Roselli: Blige at Park MGM and we loved it.
- 23:56Dayna Roselli: Both of us were impressed.
- 23:57Dayna Roselli: And uh she's a celebrity in our eyes because she's been around since Sean and I were younger.
- 24:02Dayna Roselli: Uh oh.
- 24:02Dayna Roselli: We've been listening to her music forever.
- 24:04Sean McAllister: Part of our formative years.
- 24:05Dayna Roselli: Yes, and she is a celebrity, not only in our eyes.
- 24:08Dayna Roselli: But uh, but anyway, uh, we were kind of bummed to hear that she is uh has announced the final 10 dates of her residency over at Park MGM.
- 24:17Dayna Roselli: So she'll be wrapping up in February of 2027.
- 24:21Dayna Roselli: But, you know, she's done a lot of shows and she's got two more runs going until February.
- 24:25Dayna Roselli: So I mean, she may just be like, I did my thing, I'm good.
- 24:28Sean McAllister: Yeah, and it was a great residency.
- 24:31Sean McAllister: One of the things that that we loved about it is that there's videos that play during the show as well that kind of give you a a glimpse into Mary's personality and her mentality.
- 24:45Sean McAllister: And one of the videos, she was like, At this stage of my life and career, I am gonna do whatever the heck I want.
- 24:56Sean McAllister: She didn't say heck.
- 24:57Sean McAllister: No, she didn't say heck, but she said she's gonna do whatever she wants, she's gonna do what she wants, how she wants to do it.
- 25:03Sean McAllister: I said, go marry.
- 25:06Dayna Roselli: Go marry.
- 25:06Dayna Roselli: And guess what?
- 25:07Dayna Roselli: Mary decided she's doing 10 more dates and she's out.
- 25:10Sean McAllister: That's right.
- 25:10Dayna Roselli: I love you.
- 25:11Sean McAllister: You do you, Mary.
- 25:12Sean McAllister: I know.
- 25:13Sean McAllister: Go marry, go marry.
- 25:15Dayna Roselli: What a fun show.
- 25:16Dayna Roselli: I'm so glad we got to see that show.
- 25:18Dayna Roselli: Um, you know, and she might be back another time.
- 25:20Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 25:20Dayna Roselli: This is this run.
- 25:21Dayna Roselli: Maybe she'll call it something else.
- 25:23Dayna Roselli: Um, okay, you wanted to mention this because we got an alert about a live podcast taping that people might want to attend.
- 25:29Sean McAllister: Yeah, this is happening during uh a four-day cocktail festival that's coming up.
- 25:35Sean McAllister: Uh, it's being put on by MGM Resorts.
- 25:37Sean McAllister: The the festival is called Drink Las Vegas.
- 25:40Sean McAllister: As part of that, John Taffer, who you know has Bar Rescue, he has that show that's been going on for years and years and years where he goes into bars and kind of rehabs them, fixes what's wrong, and then they do a big relaunch and makes them successful.
- 25:56Sean McAllister: John has you know has his own brands of spirits and his own taverns across the country.
- 26:03Sean McAllister: Well, he also has a a podcast, the John Taffer Podcast.
- 26:07Sean McAllister: Um, there's going to be a live taping of that at the barber shop, which is inside the cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
- 26:15Sean McAllister: Uh, the live taping is happening Saturday, September 26th from noon to 1.30 in the afternoon.
- 26:22Sean McAllister: You can uh get tickets to that.
- 26:24Sean McAllister: They're 95 bucks to go and be in the audience.
- 26:27Sean McAllister: Um, I'm sure you'll be able to interact and ask questions.
- 26:31Sean McAllister: Uh, there's gonna be some great guests that John has on.
- 26:35Sean McAllister: So we wanted to mention that.
- 26:37Sean McAllister: That's just one thing that's happening during this four-day uh culinarian drink festival.
- 26:43Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and and speaking of drink and celebrities, you're gonna see a lot of celebrity chefs in town over that that next week.
- 26:49Dayna Roselli: Well, this weekend-ish.
- 26:50Dayna Roselli: Yeah, because they're all here for this event.
- 26:53Dayna Roselli: And uh, I think Wolfgang's there.
- 26:56Dayna Roselli: Oh, it's Michael Mina.
- 26:58Sean McAllister: I mean, there's a lot of yeah, I think I've heard Shaq is even making an appearance somewhere.
- 27:02Dayna Roselli: He's doing it like an activation or something like that.
- 27:04Dayna Roselli: Yeah, there'll be a lot of celebrities in town for that.
- 27:06Dayna Roselli: So that'll be good.
- 27:07Sean McAllister: Yeah, it will.
- 27:08Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 27:09Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 27:09Dayna Roselli: Well, you guess what?
- 27:10Dayna Roselli: That's it for us, guys.
- 27:11Dayna Roselli: Um, we've had a heavy week here pushing the five-day sale, um, doing a job there with the LVCVA with our satellite media tour.
- 27:18Dayna Roselli: So we're tired.
- 27:19Sean McAllister: It's uh sleepy time.
- 27:21Dayna Roselli: It's sleepy time.
- 27:22Dayna Roselli: We'll be back.
- 27:25Dayna Roselli: Always uh send us a note.
