- 0:31Eurasia Region. Together with their son Gael,
- 0:34they live in the United Kingdom, where they also serve by
- 0:37supporting the Diaspora Ministry in Barnsley, England.
- 0:41Esteban is deeply passionate about walking alongside those
- 0:45who feel called 2 Missions. He enjoys serving the church
- 0:48through discovering, developing and deploying nursery
- 0:51missionaries, helping to mobilize and equip new workers
- 0:55for the mission field. Today he will speak about
- 0:58discovering, developing and deploying missionaries in.
- 1:01Today's episode we are going to talk about something very
- 1:05personal and powerful and that's the calling of God in our lives
- 1:10and how He continues to discover, develop and deploy
- 1:13Nasri missionaries around the world.
- 1:16Our main scripture is founded in Isaiah chapter 6 verse 8 when it
- 1:21says then I hear the voice of the Lord saying, whom shall I
- 1:27send and who will go for us? And I said, here I am, send me.
- 1:34What an incredible moment. Can you imagine?
- 1:37And honestly, one of the things that I love the mosque from this
- 1:41passage is that Gods call ordinary people.
- 1:44Sometimes we imagine missionaries, pastor or ministry
- 1:48leader as person who always had everything together.
- 1:52But when we look at the scripture, we see that God often
- 1:55calls people who feel unqualified, I'm sure, or even
- 2:00broken. And that's the true for Isaiah.
- 2:03Before Isaiah was sent, he first has an encounter with God.
- 2:08When he saw the holiness in the glory of the Lord, his first
- 2:13reaction was not confidence, but it was humility.
- 2:17He said who is me for I am a man with unclean lips.
- 2:23Isaiah recognized his weakness and maybe that's what some of us
- 2:27are today. Maybe you feel an earthquake, or
- 2:31you feel that you are not prepared enough and that someone
- 2:33can do a better job than you. But the beautiful things about
- 2:38God's calling is that He does not wait people to become
- 2:43perfect before using them. He transformed us along the way
- 2:50before Isaiah spoke to his people.
- 2:53God's first work with Isaiah on his heart.
- 2:57And that's just what happens today.
- 2:58God still continue restoring people.
- 3:02He continue healing our hearts, and he continue calling ordinary
- 3:06people like us. And that's such as an important
- 3:09reminder for the church today, because mission is not about
- 3:13building celebrities, it's about people saying yes to God.
- 3:19And that connects deeply with what we do in missions
- 3:22mobilization. We discover, develo and deploy.
- 3:26But first, when we think about discover part of missions
- 3:30mobilization is helping people recognize the calling of God in
- 3:35their lives. Sometimes a young people simply
- 3:37need someone to encourage them. Sometimes future missionary are
- 3:41already sitting in our churches serving quietly loving people
- 3:46and growing faithfully. But they have never been told
- 3:51that God can use their life for an incredible ways.
- 3:55God is still calling people today and he's still asking whom
- 4:00shall I send? And maybe someone listening this
- 4:03episode today is hearing that question personally.
- 4:07Let me tell you that God is still waiting for you.
- 4:11And then comes develop because God does not only call people,
- 4:15He transformed them. Jesus did the same things with
- 4:19his disciple. He walked with them, He taught
- 4:22them, He corrected and prepared them leader by leader.
- 4:26The disciple did not become mature overnight because growth
- 4:30take time and honestly God should encourage us.
- 4:34Sometimes we want immediate result in our life, but God
- 4:38often works through process. And across Eurasia region we
- 4:43have leaders that begin serving in simple way.
- 4:46So I'm starting by discipling a small group in a church.
- 4:50All they're serving with children, but let me tell you
- 4:54that that's a process of transformation that God is
- 4:58taking you through and God is shaping your character.
- 5:03The healthy mobilization of the church is not only about
- 5:07inspiring people emotionally. It's also about helping people
- 5:10to grow with spiritually. We want churches willing to
- 5:14disciple leaders willing to invest their time in others
- 5:18community willing to walk alongside others in their
- 5:22calling. Many times the future missionary
- 5:25of a nation simply needs someone who come and believe and then
- 5:30and finally we have to deploy at some point, Isaiah responded.
- 5:35Here I am, send me. There's come a moment when the
- 5:39church sends people into God mission.
- 5:42Some will go to the nations, others may stay in their own
- 5:47cities, and some will stay serving in their local church,
- 5:50teaching, disciple and supporting.
- 5:53But let me tell you that we need to understand is that all of us
- 5:57are invited to participate. Jesus said in Luke chapter 4.
- 6:02The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because He has anointed me to
- 6:07proclaim good news to the poor. That mission continues today.
- 6:11People are still searching for hope, family and they still need
- 6:16restoration and God is still in college history and his people
- 6:20to participate. Maybe not everyone listening
- 6:23this episode today may become a cross cultural missionaries, but
- 6:29everyone, every believer is called to live a life in God's
- 6:34mission. So today I wanted to leave you
- 6:36with a simple question. What would happen if you
- 6:40responded like Isaiah, here I am Lore, maybe God want to use your
- 6:46your story, your gift, your willingness.
- 6:50Do not wait until you feel perfect to begat.
- 6:53He's still discovering and he's waiting to develop you and then
- 6:58deploy you to participate in his mission.
- 7:01Let's pray Lore. Thank you because you still
- 7:05calling people for your mission. Thank you for using us as
- 7:09ordinary people to bring hope, salvation and restoration to the
- 7:13world. Help us to recognize your voice
- 7:16when you call us. Give us women hearts like Isaiah
- 7:21to say, here I am Lord, send me teachers to faithfully disciples
- 7:26and develop others with love, humility and patience.
- 7:30Rise up, new missionaries from our churches, our communities,
- 7:35and our generation, and may we always be willing to go wherever
- 7:40you want to lead us. In the name of Jesus I pray.
- 7:43Amen. Thank you for listening to the
