Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: To the United States of America. We go in Austin
- 0:02Speaker 1: and Texas. It's Tony would have been Hella Toney.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Good morning.
- 0:06Speaker 1: So the GOP one to prosecute a Republican who investigated
- 0:12Speaker 1: Trump in the January sixth Capital riots. So this is
- 0:15Speaker 1: a growing list of enemies that Trump might go after.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Yeah, it certainly is. So this has to do with
- 0:20Speaker 2: Liz Cheney. She was the vice chair of that committee
- 0:24Speaker 2: that investigated Trump's role in the January sixth attack on
- 0:27Speaker 2: the US Capitol, and her fellow Republicans have been investigating
- 0:31Speaker 2: that committee for months now, and there was this interim
- 0:34Speaker 2: report that was released on Tuesday, and they claim that
- 0:38Speaker 2: she likely broke a number of federal laws, including allegations
- 0:42Speaker 2: of witness tampering and essentially convincing a witness to lie.
- 0:47Speaker 2: And they now are calling on the FBI to investigate her.
- 0:51Speaker 2: The thing is is that Trump has nominated loyalists to
- 0:55Speaker 2: run not only the FBI, but also the Justice Department.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Of course, the incoming president has repeatedly and strongly hinted
- 1:03Speaker 2: that he wants to go after his political enemies. Liz Cheney,
- 1:07Speaker 2: who was the daughter of a former Vice president of
- 1:10Speaker 2: the United states Dick Cheney. She has come out and
- 1:12Speaker 2: blasted this report saying that it is full of lies
- 1:16Speaker 2: and just completely ignores Trump's role in the riots.
- 1:20Speaker 1: So he wants to do what he's accusing them of
- 1:23Speaker 1: doing to him, So they would go, there's a pot
- 1:25Speaker 1: calling the kittle black. Hey, so merry Christmas. Amazon Zon strike.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Yeah. So these are some strikes that have been authorized
- 1:33Speaker 2: at a number of Amazon facilities in New York, Illinois,
- 1:37Speaker 2: and in southern California. And some of these are actually
- 1:40Speaker 2: quite crucial hubs. So, for example, the San Bernardino location
- 1:44Speaker 2: in southern California is Amazon's largest air hub in the
- 1:48Speaker 2: Western US, with more than a thousand workers. So if
- 1:51Speaker 2: these strikes actually happen in the next week, it could
- 1:55Speaker 2: have just a major impact on the movement of packages
- 1:58Speaker 2: across the entire country, just a week for Christmas and Honokoh,
- 2:01Speaker 2: which is the biggest gift giving holidays in the US.
- 2:05Speaker 2: So these workers are calling for better wages, benefits, and
- 2:08Speaker 2: working conditions. The problem is is that Amazon is refusing
- 2:12Speaker 2: to recognize the union that is representing these workers. So
- 2:17Speaker 2: things are at a bit of a stalemate. So at
- 2:19Speaker 2: the end of the day, you know, it's perhaps going
- 2:21Speaker 2: to be Santa that's going to have to do a
- 2:23Speaker 2: bit more of the heavy lifting this Christmas.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Great Stefan, I thank you. That is Teddy would have
- 2:26Speaker 1: been out of the United States of America.
