A volunteer at the UK’s National Archives uncovered a rare 1776 “Exeter Declaration” — one of just eleven known copies, and the only one outside the U.S. Printed in New Hampshire to spread news of the Declaration’s signing, it was seized by the British Royal Navy in 1776 from the American ship Dalton, then forgotten for 250 years.
