- Lucas: Hey, welcome back to Learn Telugu with Fexingo! I'm Lucas. Luna: And I'm Luna. Ready for another bite-sized Telugu lesson? Lucas: For sure. Today we're learning something that'll help you talk about time on a bigger scale. Luna: Let me guess — months of the year? Lucas: Exactly! The months in Telugu. We'll start with the first three. Luna: Cool. I already know days of the week from earlier, so months make sense. Lucas: Yeah, building on what you know. So, the first month: January. Luna: January. That's my birthday month! Lucas: Oh, nice! In Telugu, January is జనవరి. Say it with me: జనవరి. Luna: జనవరి. That's pretty similar to English. Lucas: It is! Many month names are borrowed. Now February. February is ఫిబ్రవరి. Luna: ఫిబ్రవరి. That's a bit of a mouthful. Lucas: Take it slow: ఫి-బ్ర-వ-రి. Good. And March — మార్చి. Luna: మార్చి. That one's easy. Lucas: Yeah. Let's hear all three from you: January, February, March. How was that? Lucas: Perfect. You've got them. Luna: So how do I say 'my birthday is in January'? Lucas: Great question. But we'll focus just on the months today. Luna: Okay, I'll stick with the words for now. Lucas: Let's do a quick scene. Suppose someone asks you when your birthday is. You can just say the month. So if your birthday is in January, you say 'జనవరి'. Luna: Right. So if someone asks 'నీ పుట్టినరోజు ఎప్పుడు?' I can say 'జనవరి'. Lucas: Exactly. Now let's practice a mini dialogue. You answer with the month. Luna: Okay, go ahead. Lucas: Nice. Now you ask me. Luna: Oh, you're a March baby! That's cool. Lucas: Yeah. So let's review what we've learned today: జనవరి, ఫిబ్రవరి, మార్చి. Luna: జనవరి, ఫిబ్రవరి, మార్చి. Got it. Lucas: Before we wrap, let me say each one one more time, and you repeat after me: జనవరి. Luna: జనవరి. Lucas: ఫిబ్రవరి. Luna: ఫిబ్రవరి. Lucas: మార్చి. Luna: మార్చి. Lucas: You did great, Luna. Luna: Thanks, Lucas. This was fun. Lucas: Remember, you can practice these by thinking about your own birthday or the current month. For example, right now it's — well, depending on when you listen, but say it with me anyway: జనవరి, ఫిబ్రవరి, మార్చి. Luna: I'll practice those on my way to work. Lucas: That's the spirit. Thanks for joining us on Learn Telugu with Fexingo. Keep practicing, and see you next time! Luna: Bye! And don't forget to subscribe!
