Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're going to pick up
• 0:06
Speaker 1: where we left off with the BBC article about Nadia Marsenkova.
• 0:12
Speaker 1: The authors of this article are Tim we Will and
• 0:16
Speaker 1: Jacob Pohl. In two thousand and six, she wrote, what
• 0:20
Speaker 1: do you imagine is a fun sex thing? I'll do
• 0:23
Speaker 1: what I can, even though if this is simply about
• 0:26
Speaker 1: you having sex with someone else, I don't know how
• 0:28
Speaker 1: to make our relationship better. I'll try to find girls
• 0:31
Speaker 1: whenever we're in New York. Some messages suggests Nadia new
• 0:35
Speaker 1: Epstein preferred as women young, but we found no evidence
• 0:38
Speaker 1: in the files that she ever introduced them to girls
• 0:41
Speaker 1: that were underage. Nevertheless, even recruiting adults through deception for
• 0:46
Speaker 1: exploitative purposes can be defined as trafficking. Well, that's true. Look,
• 0:54
Speaker 1: the most heinous crime one can commit is against children.
• 0:57
Speaker 1: Everybody knows that. But just because you're of age, does
• 1:01
Speaker 1: it mean you can't be trafficked? Now? Does it mean
• 1:05
Speaker 1: you don't have responsibility for what you do while you're
• 1:08
Speaker 1: being trafficked? I don't believe that, but it certainly would
• 1:13
Speaker 1: mitigate some of the penalty if you got arrested and
• 1:17
Speaker 1: you were involved in something like this, you know, you
• 1:19
Speaker 1: start out as a victim, and then the genesis is
• 1:22
Speaker 1: you become an abuser yourself. I think that a jury
• 1:25
Speaker 1: and the court would be sympathetic to that. Now, does
• 1:28
Speaker 1: that mean you're gonna walk? No, it does not. But
• 1:31
Speaker 1: I truly believe that Nadia has one chance here. If
• 1:34
Speaker 1: she comes forward now and gets ahead of all of
• 1:37
Speaker 1: this and tells everybody what she knows, I think people
• 1:41
Speaker 1: are going to be very receptive to that. The problem is,
• 1:45
Speaker 1: I don't think Naughty is going to do it. And
• 1:47
Speaker 1: in the last episode we were talking about how Jeffrey
• 1:49
Speaker 1: Epstein wanted her to cook eggs. Here's the whole email.
• 1:53
Speaker 1: I want you to learn how to cook eggs, scrambled, poached,
• 1:55
Speaker 1: over easy, shrimp, broiled, baked, boiled, and sauces for it,
• 2:00
Speaker 1: fresh fruit drinks. I want you to learn how to
• 2:02
Speaker 1: set a table and present food. I want you to
• 2:05
Speaker 1: learn how to run a house. I want no arguments
• 2:08
Speaker 1: during the Monday to Friday week. Issues must wait for
• 2:11
Speaker 1: the weekend. No more bitching about redacted. I've had enough
• 2:15
Speaker 1: for a lifetime. I want you to read one of
• 2:17
Speaker 1: the one hundred great books every month there is a
• 2:20
Speaker 1: readily available list. I want you to exercise four times
• 2:23
Speaker 1: per week, every week. I want you to type at
• 2:26
Speaker 1: sixty words a minute. I want beautiful things only in
• 2:29
Speaker 1: my house. You can't put anything in without letting me
• 2:32
Speaker 1: see it first. Well, if that's the rule, this ugly
• 2:36
Speaker 1: motherfucker should have left the house asat. Has there ever
• 2:39
Speaker 1: been anybody as goofy looking as Jeffrey Epstein's bitch ass.
• 2:44
Speaker 1: That same year, two thousand and six, Epstein emailed a
• 2:46
Speaker 1: request to Brunel to put Marsankova on the payroll of
• 2:50
Speaker 1: Brunell's new modeling agency MC squared and payder fifty thousand
• 2:54
Speaker 1: dollars a year. It's not clear what the salary was for,
• 2:58
Speaker 1: as Marsenkova was no longer working as a model, but
• 3:02
Speaker 1: whatever she was expected to do, she was clearly uncomfortable
• 3:05
Speaker 1: about her dependency on Epstein. Putting her on the payroll
• 3:09
Speaker 1: was for the immigration fraud. She has to have a job, right,
• 3:12
Speaker 1: she has to have some kind of form of income.
• 3:15
Speaker 1: So Jeffrey Epstein reaches out to the guy who facilitated
• 3:18
Speaker 1: not he's abuse in the first place. Jean Luc Brunel,
• 3:22
Speaker 1: and he ends up giving her the job at MST
• 3:24
Speaker 1: Squared and that fortifies her immigration position with is. In
• 3:30
Speaker 1: one email to him that year, she wrote, since I
• 3:32
Speaker 1: met you, my life revolves around you. There's nothing else
• 3:36
Speaker 1: I have and it makes me feel very uneasy. But
• 3:39
Speaker 1: in two thousand and nine, at the same time she
• 3:41
Speaker 1: was visiting Epstein in jail, she appears to have begun
• 3:44
Speaker 1: to lessen her financial dependency on them by taking to
• 3:48
Speaker 1: the air. Epstein paid tens of thousands of dollars for
• 3:51
Speaker 1: her to train as a pilot. Emails between them show
• 3:54
Speaker 1: which she apparently did with great enthusiasm, promoting herself on
• 3:58
Speaker 1: social media Global Girl. That was money making for her
• 4:02
Speaker 1: because she was invited to fly a lot of aeroplanes
• 4:05
Speaker 1: and do a lot of videos, says aviation journalist Christine Nagrani,
• 4:10
Speaker 1: who says she met Marsonkova in twenty thirteen. Nadia was delightful.
• 4:14
Speaker 1: She was charming company, and she worked very hard, attending
• 4:18
Speaker 1: flight schools to get her certificates one after another. These
• 4:21
Speaker 1: are not easy accomplishments. And look, it's not easy to
• 4:25
Speaker 1: become a pilot, no doubt about it. And I truly
• 4:30
Speaker 1: wish Nadia would just come forward, tell her a story,
• 4:33
Speaker 1: get it on wax, and get her life moving in
• 4:35
Speaker 1: a different direction. Maybe come out as some kind of
• 4:39
Speaker 1: you know, advocate something, because the longer she stays quiet,
• 4:44
Speaker 1: the longer she you know, sticks to the shadows, the
• 4:47
Speaker 1: harder it's going to be to convince people that she
• 4:49
Speaker 1: was somebody that was coerced and abused herself despite her
• 4:54
Speaker 1: new apparent independence. Marsenkova's relationship with Epstein continued after his
• 4:58
Speaker 1: release from prison in July two thousand and nine. Email
• 5:01
Speaker 1: show it seems to have even intensified by October that year.
• 5:05
Speaker 1: They were trying to have a baby together, the email suggest,
• 5:09
Speaker 1: and she maintained her role as a scout, the files reveal.
• 5:13
Speaker 1: In one email that year, she asks his opinion of
• 5:15
Speaker 1: a specific woman she says has offered to come over
• 5:19
Speaker 1: from Eastern Europe. But in twenty ten they finally split
• 5:22
Speaker 1: up after he had been particularly violent towards her. She
• 5:25
Speaker 1: told the investigators, and this is the kind of thing
• 5:28
Speaker 1: that Nadia should say. She should come out, you know,
• 5:31
Speaker 1: get on one of these twenty twenties or whatever and
• 5:34
Speaker 1: tell her story. Or hell, Nadia, you are more than
• 5:37
Speaker 1: welcome to come on this show at any time and
• 5:41
Speaker 1: explain yourself. And a lot of people want to talk
• 5:43
Speaker 1: about oh, Glenn Maxwell, this, Glenn Maxwell. That. Well, I
• 5:46
Speaker 1: think that Nadia, Sarah Kellen and the rest of the
• 5:49
Speaker 1: Corps four also have a lot of very very important
• 5:52
Speaker 1: information that we need. The following year, according to the
• 5:58
Speaker 1: account she gave him, she got a new work visa
• 6:01
Speaker 1: based on her own aviation job. So once she got
• 6:05
Speaker 1: out from under his grip and got the new visa,
• 6:07
Speaker 1: that would have been the perfect time to go to
• 6:09
Speaker 1: the authorities. But remember we're talking about twenty thirteen. Epstein
• 6:13
Speaker 1: was alive well and still hanging out with some of
• 6:16
Speaker 1: the most powerful people on this whole ass planet, So
• 6:21
Speaker 1: we have to take that into account as well. Was
• 6:23
Speaker 1: Nadia scared? And I think that only Nadia can answer
• 6:27
Speaker 1: those questions. She and Epstein clearly remain friends, though she
• 6:31
Speaker 1: co piloted his private jet on some flights to his
• 6:34
Speaker 1: island from twenty twelve. In twenty thirteen, he arranged for
• 6:38
Speaker 1: her to get a job as a flying instructor for
• 6:40
Speaker 1: the company of entrepreneur Dean Kamen, inventor of segue messages
• 6:46
Speaker 1: between Marsenko. Marsenkova and Epstein in twenty fifteen confirm what
• 6:50
Speaker 1: she told investigators that he agreed that you're to double
• 6:54
Speaker 1: whatever income she earned from other sources. We asked Cayman's
• 6:59
Speaker 1: company Decca for a im about his association with marsan Kova,
• 7:02
Speaker 1: but it did not reply. A spokesman for Kayman has
• 7:07
Speaker 1: previously said that the inventor deeply regrets having any interaction
• 7:11
Speaker 1: with Epstein and had no involvement in or knowledge of
• 7:14
Speaker 1: his crimes. But though Marsankova appears to have been loyal
• 7:18
Speaker 1: to Epstein for years, in twenty eighteen, she finally switched sides,
• 7:23
Speaker 1: and that is what I'm talking about. She came forward,
• 7:26
Speaker 1: she stepped up, and I think that's a feather in
• 7:29
Speaker 1: her cab. I think it's important to note that she cooperated,
• 7:33
Speaker 1: and anybody who knows anything about a RICO case knows
• 7:36
Speaker 1: you have to have people like Marsankova cooperating if you
• 7:39
Speaker 1: want to take the operation down. The following year, Epstein
• 7:43
Speaker 1: was geled again while he awaited sex trafficking charges in return.
• 7:47
Speaker 1: Four years later, the FBI supported marsan Kova's application to
• 7:50
Speaker 1: stay in the US after her visa ran out in
• 7:53
Speaker 1: twenty twenty two. The agency said that she had been recruited, harbored,
• 7:58
Speaker 1: and obtained by Epstein and others for purposes of coercive
• 8:03
Speaker 1: sexual relationship. Like I said, Nadia Marsenkova is not like
• 8:08
Speaker 1: the other Core four, and I think her story has
• 8:11
Speaker 1: to be looked at through that other lens. Since then,
• 8:15
Speaker 1: Marsankova has disappeared from public view. Social media posts suggests
• 8:19
Speaker 1: that she'd been, at least up until last year, an
• 8:22
Speaker 1: active member of the Zen Buddhist Center in New York. Previously,
• 8:26
Speaker 1: her lawyer has said that she wants to eventually speak
• 8:28
Speaker 1: out about her victimization and help other survivors, but is
• 8:33
Speaker 1: currently working on her healing. Look, I'm going to reach
• 8:36
Speaker 1: out to Nadia and throw a hell Mary. Maybe she
• 8:39
Speaker 1: wants to talk, and maybe she wants to explain herself
• 8:42
Speaker 1: and explain what went down. But the immunity given to
• 8:46
Speaker 1: Marsenko and the other three women in the two thousand
• 8:48
Speaker 1: and eight plea deal is now being questioned. US Congresswoman
• 8:52
Speaker 1: Anna Paulina Luna, Oh, our favorite person. Isn't she just
• 8:56
Speaker 1: so fantastic? I mean, when she's not making a fool
• 8:59
Speaker 1: of herself talking about Epstein. She's making a fool of
• 9:03
Speaker 1: herself talking about interdimensional beings and whatever other nonsense that
• 9:07
Speaker 1: this lady's cooking up. US Congresswoman Anna Pauline A Luna,
• 9:13
Speaker 1: a Republican member of the House Oversight Committee, said in February,
• 9:17
Speaker 1: apparently after seeing unredacted Epstein documents, all of these women
• 9:22
Speaker 1: engaged in the trafficking of minors as adults. They were
• 9:25
Speaker 1: working and complicit with Jeffrey Epstein's operation. She didn't mention
• 9:29
Speaker 1: anyone by name, and all of her little buddies on Twitter,
• 9:33
Speaker 1: which is an absolute dump these days, ran with it. Oh,
• 9:37
Speaker 1: these girls are all traffickers, They're all part of it.
• 9:40
Speaker 1: Completely absurd, but that was the goal. Confusion and so chaos.
• 9:47
Speaker 1: Anything to help Donnie Diddles. Though Kelen and Groff are
• 9:52
Speaker 1: about to give testimony, it appears that the committee has
• 9:54
Speaker 1: yet to decide whether to call Ross or marson Kova.
• 9:58
Speaker 1: The judgment as to how far a victim can also
• 10:02
Speaker 1: be termed an accomplice is nuanced, says Bridget Carr, professor
• 10:06
Speaker 1: of clinical law at Michigan University, who has worked extensively
• 10:09
Speaker 1: with victims of human trafficking. She tries to discern whether
• 10:14
Speaker 1: the victim has continued to commit crimes after escaping the
• 10:17
Speaker 1: control of a perpetrator, bearing in mind the control may
• 10:20
Speaker 1: continue even if the perpetrator is not physically present in
• 10:24
Speaker 1: the victim's life. The line that I draw is whether
• 10:28
Speaker 1: the victim has ever been away from the power and
• 10:30
Speaker 1: control of the perpetrator. The question is whether it's reasonable
• 10:34
Speaker 1: that the victim would believe that the perpetrator still has
• 10:37
Speaker 1: power over them. And I think that is a fairer assessment. Well,
• 10:41
Speaker 1: we're talking about some really deep issues here, and I
• 10:44
Speaker 1: think that those are issues that trained professionals should be
• 10:47
Speaker 1: breaking down, not me. Fuck, I'm barely functioning. I'm half
• 10:52
Speaker 1: a moron over here. I certainly don't know anything about
• 10:54
Speaker 1: the human mind or the human condition. What I do
• 10:57
Speaker 1: know is this, though this is not black and there's
• 11:01
Speaker 1: a lot of nuance, what choices Nadia Marcinko had, if any,
• 11:06
Speaker 1: in the course of her long association with Jeffrey Epstein.
• 11:10
Speaker 1: It's impossible for an outsider to know. Documents in the
• 11:13
Speaker 1: files provide only glimpses of her life, but one email
• 11:17
Speaker 1: from twenty twelve is perhaps more revealing than most. I
• 11:23
Speaker 1: don't want to be with you, but it upsets me
• 11:24
Speaker 1: to see you use the same exact patterns to seduce, manipulate,
• 11:28
Speaker 1: and ultimately control and hurt other girls. I don't even
• 11:32
Speaker 1: like them, and I actually feel guilty about knowing how
• 11:35
Speaker 1: they'll end up. She wrote, I know what you're capable of,
• 11:38
Speaker 1: and I will always be protective of you out of
• 11:41
Speaker 1: pure loyalty and stubbornness, But my conscience is far from clear. Look,
• 11:46
Speaker 1: there's no doubt that Nadia Marsenkova lays in bed at
• 11:50
Speaker 1: night and thinks about what happened. At least I would
• 11:54
Speaker 1: hope so. Right, If you have a conscience, you have
• 11:56
Speaker 1: a moral compass, you would think that she feels a
• 11:59
Speaker 1: lot of shame, and she feels a lot of disgust
• 12:04
Speaker 1: about what went down. And I think it would serve
• 12:06
Speaker 1: her well and everybody else involved if she would come
• 12:10
Speaker 1: forward and speak, whether that's with Congress, whether that's with
• 12:14
Speaker 1: the media, whoever, Because if anybody has an Epstein story
• 12:18
Speaker 1: to tell, it's certainly not Io marsen Kova. All right, folks,
• 12:23
Speaker 1: that's gonna do it for this one. All the information
• 12:26
Speaker 1: that goes with this episode can be found in the
• 12:28
  Speaker 1: description box,
