Tragedy of the Bug Fire and Shari Floyd | Reno News
A tragic wildfire, known as the Bug Fire, took the life of beloved 78-year-old Shari Floyd after she suffered severe burns and smoke inhalation. Evacuated in a flash by sudden winds and thunderstorms, she and her husband Eddie were caught in the fire’s deadly path. First responders risked everything to save them — Eddie remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition. Shari, who lived with Parkinson’s, is remembered for her warmth toward people and animals. In lieu of flowers, her family asks for donations to the Michael J. Fox Foundation. A memorial service will be announced soon…
