- 0:00SPEAKER_01: Is it is it is it uh is it eight o'clock?
- 0:04SPEAKER_01: Somewhere, somewhere it should be eight o'clock everywhere.
- 0:08SPEAKER_01: Because the time should not have to change according to where you're standing in the world.
- 0:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 0:14SPEAKER_01: Dark light, it should be the same time.
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: Right, but it's but right, I get, yeah.
- 0:19SPEAKER_01: But it but it but it might it's it's eight o'clock in California, from what I understand.
- 0:23SPEAKER_01: It is that's what they tell me.
- 0:25SPEAKER_01: I'm in Florida over here where it's practically lunchtime.
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: My stomach's growling.
- 0:28SPEAKER_01: Did you say good morning to people this morning?
- 0:30SPEAKER_01: Did you I didn't see anybody, I haven't seen anybody today, but I even when I thought about it yesterday, I realized yesterday I realized it doesn't have to be good morning, it could be good afternoon, right?
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: Well, yeah, but it's a it was a life hack to start your day.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: That's kind of it was a yeah, I yeah, okay, that's a good one.
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: But you're right home a lot.
- 0:50SPEAKER_01: I don't really get out a lot in the morning.
- 0:54SPEAKER_01: Sometimes I do.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: A lot of times I'm just working in the yard.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: I'm I right as I could say good morning to the birds.
- 1:01SPEAKER_01: You probably you could.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: I wonder if that would good morning.
- 1:04SPEAKER_01: Good morning.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: But you have to look the birds in the eye and mean it.
- 1:10SPEAKER_01: How many e's do you have in your name, Steve?
- 1:15SPEAKER_01: Have you ever thought about that?
- 1:17SPEAKER_01: I think you like got a full house at E's.
- 1:19SPEAKER_01: I mean, a full house, I mean, I don't know if that's the right word.
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: Five E's.
- 1:23SPEAKER_01: Straight flush.
- 1:23SPEAKER_01: You have five E's, right?
- 1:25SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 1:26SPEAKER_01: Did you did you did you try your middle name?
- 1:28SPEAKER_01: You got any E's in your middle name?
- 1:29SPEAKER_01: I don't.
- 1:31SPEAKER_01: Well, let's not think about your middle name then.
- 1:33SPEAKER_01: Let's just look at your first and last name and look at five E's.
- 1:36SPEAKER_01: No, that is really uncanny.
- 1:38SPEAKER_01: Unusual?
- 1:40SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: I don't know words.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: Unbelievable?
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: I don't know words.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: What I do know is that that um I'm I'm getting I'm getting um podcast advice from my my my kids.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: Oh so here's the newest one.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: The newest one is Sadie was saying that Egot was telling us that we don't we don't we're not talking about anything, right?
- 2:09SPEAKER_01: Um then you came up with a life hack.
- 2:11SPEAKER_01: Did Egot hear that one?
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: I don't think e got I don't think he did.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: Um Yeah, we need to stop worrying about Egot, but go ahead.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: But yeah, so she said she said, and and and remember how Egot said that I don't listen to you, I just I just talk and well he just made it with that he only listened to one episode.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: But still, still that so this is I'm just this the setup for what for what Okay, okay, okay.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: She was saying, you know, I understand you want to be inspirational.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: And Satchel was talking about being on a ladder, so you could have just continued the ladder conversation rather than just like left turn, you know, into some other topic, which is what I do.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: Like she said, you could have continued the e-got uh the um the ladder conversation and then found inspiration in talking about ladders.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: So I guess I'm supposed to like the the flow, the conversation has to flow more rather than left turned and then right turn.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: But we only have eight minutes.
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: I don't know that Sadie really understands what it's like to only have I don't know.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: I don't think she's ever yeah, she's never been on an eight-minute podcast in her life.
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: She's a ballet dancer, so you know, um ballet.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: Huh?
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: She does ballet.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: She does ballet, yeah.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: She does ballet.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: Ballet, yes.
- 3:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah, she does.
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: Do you ever see that movie?
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: Um, that ballet movie.
- 3:35SPEAKER_01: Um what's it called?
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 3:40SPEAKER_01: It's about a little boy who wants to do ballet.
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah, okay.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: Sadie's already answered it in her head.
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: It's Billy Elliott.
- 3:48SPEAKER_01: Billy Elliott, and it I don't I haven't seen it in probably 20 years, maybe when it came out.
- 3:55SPEAKER_01: But I remember liking that movie so much and getting the soundtrack even and having and because it was uh it was it was maybe um T-Rex.
- 4:03SPEAKER_01: Oh, was it was part of the soundtrack, and I don't remember who else, but I remember liking the soundtrack.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: I remember liking the movie, and then it was like a little boy who wanted to do ballet dancing belly, you want to do belly, and so I really want to see it again.
- 4:17SPEAKER_01: I really need to re-watch it.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: You should keep your eye out because they made a Broadway musical out of it.
- 4:22SPEAKER_01: Oh, I'd love to see that.
- 4:23SPEAKER_01: I love musicals.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, oh I'm I'm so glad to hear you say that that you love musicals.
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: I love musicals.
- 4:30SPEAKER_01: I told you this when I was out there.
- 4:31SPEAKER_01: I love that one.
- 4:32SPEAKER_01: Uh well, burlesque was great.
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: No, you love movie musicals, that doesn't count.
- 4:38SPEAKER_01: That's different.
- 4:38SPEAKER_01: Well, I'm in Gainesville.
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: We don't have like we're not in LA.
- 4:42SPEAKER_01: We don't have like we can't just go see a musical down the street here.
- 4:46SPEAKER_01: Well, you can I did see, yeah, not in Gainesville.
- 4:50SPEAKER_00: Well, but you can you can you can watch them on TV?
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: You can.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: I mean, that doesn't really count either, but it's better than saying that movie musicals are musicals.
- 5:01SPEAKER_01: I mean, I guess they kind of are, but well, the greatest showman.
- 5:04SPEAKER_01: That was really good.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: Also not a musical.
- 5:06SPEAKER_00: I mean, I know it's a musical.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: It is it's a musical.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: I know it's a musical, but you are such a snob.
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: It's I I'm a well, I'm a theater snob, and that's different.
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: You're exactly you're you're you you know, you can say, Oh, I'm a bumpkin.
- 5:21SPEAKER_01: I'm just kind of hillbilly.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: But you can't say that because you love m movies, and then you love musicals, you love the musical version of movies that you love musicals because if I oh no no no no, well, I can't say that because look at this.
- 5:36SPEAKER_01: If I love a movie that is a musical, I love every movie musical, I'm bound to also love theater, musicals.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: Well, it's not a hundred percent because some people don't can't like you know, the concept of what's the percentage?
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: 98?
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 5:53SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 5:53SPEAKER_00: I'm just saying that you can't say you love musicals just right off the bat.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: You have to say I love movie musicals.
- 6:01SPEAKER_01: I would like to a movie musical.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: I would like to experience a real musical in the theater.
- 6:08SPEAKER_01: But yeah, you know.
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: Oh, here's here's yeah, here's here's a funny story.
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: Egot, um, which reminder to our millions of fans means Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony, and he's won two of them, but he's gonna win all four of them, which is why I call him Egot.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: Um why do you call him Egot?
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: Because he's gonna win an E-got, and he'll be the only person I know that has an Egot.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: But what's an E-got?
- 6:35SPEAKER_00: I just I just told you.
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: I did.
- 6:37SPEAKER_01: I was thinking you were talking about him.
- 6:40SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 6:41SPEAKER_01: If you win an Oscar and a Grammy and a Tony and a what else?
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: And a uh Emmy, Oscar, well, E got.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: Emmy, G, Grammy, O, Oscar, T, Tony.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: If you win all four awards, you have an E got.
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: And there's very few people who've done it.
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: Um and he'll probably do it too.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: So he's got two of them, he's got to get two more.
- 7:06SPEAKER_00: He's got to get a Grammy and a Tony.
- 7:08SPEAKER_00: But the funny part is Tony is theater, and he doesn't like the theater, really.
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: In fact, he tells me the story that when he went to Les Miz, which is one of the biggest, bestest, coolest musicals, he fell asleep and he felt bad.
- 7:24SPEAKER_01: Maybe he was just tired.
- 7:25SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be tough for him to get the tea.
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: That that's the thing.
- 7:27SPEAKER_01: It's gonna be hard to get the tea, right?
- 7:29SPEAKER_00: I have to get him, I have to work on maybe there's another one.
- 7:32SPEAKER_01: Didn't you say you had a telly?
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: Uh yeah, that, but that doesn't count.
- 7:35SPEAKER_01: That's maybe you could give him your telly and we could call that one the tea.
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: That's a great idea.
- 7:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I like that idea.
- 7:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's good that we have these talks.
- 7:46SPEAKER_00: It it is, it is.
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: We didn't say anything this time for sure.
- 7:49SPEAKER_00: No inspiration, and now we gotta wrap it up.
- 7:52SPEAKER_01: We gotta wrap it up already, wrap it up.
- 7:55SPEAKER_01: Wrap it up.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: I'm I'm uh putting a spigot in the yard.
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: I just tested it and.
