- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Welcome back, friends, to more fun on the Aligned Actor pod tube stack.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: That's right.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: It's a podcast.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: It's a YouTube video.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: It lives on my sub stack.
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: I made up a word about it, and I think it's awesome.
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: Who am I?
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: I'm Amy Schlerb.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: I'm a professional actress and a mindfulness and mindset coach.
- 0:23And my goal with everything that I do is to help actors and
- 0:27creatives ride the
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: roller coaster of a creative profession.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: All the ups and downs, all the twists and turns.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: If you know, you know.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: I want to help us all ride that ride without throwing up.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: Because it's a lot to be an actor or a creative professional.
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: There's a lot of ups and downs.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: There's a lot of twists and turns.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: It's not well understood unless you're actually in it.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: And it's a tricky thing to navigate.
- 0:56I want to help us all smooth that ride out so that we can all
- 1:00stay in our creative careers.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: We can continue being actors for the long haul, the whole marathon.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: and not burn out.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: That's what I'm here to do.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: And today,
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: once again,
- 1:15we are exploring a letter that I wrote a few years ago to young
- 1:19actor Amy,
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: the actor Amy who had just arrived in Los Angeles and was full of
- 1:26vim and vigor I don't know she was just real gung-ho and ready
- 1:30to get going and I
- 1:32took the time a few years ago to write her a letter to kind of
- 1:36help her get going
- 1:38it had thoughts on my reflection of where I was and what would
- 1:41have been really
- 1:42valuable to know as a newbie in Los Angeles back then so this
- 1:47is letter to a young
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: actor Amy no letter to young actor Amy I can read part four
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: And our topic today is create because no one cares.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: Technically,
- 2:01SPEAKER_00: we're combining two topics from my letter,
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: but they go hand in hand because I added that little because in there.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: So this is perfect.
- 2:09So let's read what I wrote to myself back then and let's see
- 2:12how this all holds up today.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: So the first piece of advice was create.
- 2:18Don't wait for permission or perfection to create stuff and put
- 2:22it out into the world.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: Just do it.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: Lean into your inspirations and follow them full out.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: Play, explore, throw stuff up online, and again, rinse and repeat.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: Some of it might be crap.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: Or maybe only a handful of people will ever see it.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: But what you will learn in the process will be invaluable.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: Oh, and fun.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: Tons of fun.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: Let's roll right into our second bit of advice.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: No one cares.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: If you think someone is judging you,
- 2:56chances are good you're really just projecting your own
- 2:59self-judgment onto them.
- 3:01Abandon judgment altogether and remember that while you're busy
- 3:05worrying about what
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: they think,
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: they are probably just as worried about what you think.
- 3:12and you're both so caught up in this stupid game of
- 3:14self-obsession that no one has
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: stopped to realize,
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: ta-da,
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: no one cares what anyone else is doing.
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: Or maybe we all care,
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: but only in the,
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: oh,
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: that's cool sense,
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: rather than the,
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: why would you do that sense?
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: Does that make sense?
- 3:30I hope it does,
- 3:31because reminding myself of this fact on a regular basis is
- 3:35freeing.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: So surprise,
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: surprise,
- 3:39I still love both of these pieces of advice that I wrote to
- 3:41myself back in the day,
- 3:43and I have some updated reflections to share on each of these
- 3:47points and how they
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: fit together oh so very nicely.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: So let's start with create.
- 3:54The reason that I encourage myself and all actors and all
- 3:59creative professionals,
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: creative people in general,
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: I want you to create
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: Content,
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: funny reels,
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: substack posts,
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: visual arts,
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: do some crafts,
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: join a choir,
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: start an improv team,
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: something creative.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: Be doing something creative.
- 4:20The reason that's really important is that we all need to be
- 4:23feeding our creative souls.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: There's a part that lives inside us that as creatives,
- 4:30it starts to wither and we start to feel really uncomfortable
- 4:34or really upset when
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: we're not getting to use it,
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: we're not getting to create.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: And I've found in my life when I've
- 4:42tuned into and noticed that like,
- 4:44oh,
- 4:45my creative soul is very sad right now.
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: Like it really needs to do something fun.
- 4:50That then giving it that opportunity is so valuable and so
- 4:56helpful for my overall wellbeing.
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: For many years, I created a comedy web series called Schlerbits.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: Maybe you've heard of it.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: Maybe you haven't.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: And this is your opportunity to now discover it for yourself.
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: It was the ultimate DIY one-woman show.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: I literally did everything myself, and I mean everything.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: So I did the writing, I did the filming, I did the acting, of course.
- 5:25I did hire a couple of other actors occasionally when I needed
- 5:29to fill out a...
- 5:33like a bit that I wanted to do or it like really just called
- 5:36for somebody else to do it.
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: I did hire a couple of other actors, but I did all the editing.
- 5:41SPEAKER_00: I did all the distribution.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: I did everything.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: And it did not get many views, and that was okay.
- 5:49SPEAKER_00: It did win some awards at festivals, which I was really proud of.
- 5:53It got me a few acting drops,
- 5:55which was really cool,
- 5:57and leans into the idea of quality views.
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: Like, oh, the right people saw it over quantity views.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: It didn't go viral, but nobody really cared to do anything with it.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: Like,
- 6:09it got into the hands of the right people that then were able
- 6:12to give me drops,
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: which was awesome.
- 6:15SPEAKER_00: And I learned a ton.
- 6:17I mean,
- 6:18a freaking ton about the creative process and about production
- 6:22process.
- 6:23And it really helped my overall mindset as an actor because I
- 6:26would go into
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: auditions and I'd be like,
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: oh,
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: I know what you want out of this probably in the end.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: So it helped me tailor my performance.
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: Not that I was necessarily like just concentrated on the result,
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: but I understood,
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: oh,
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: I see how they might edit this.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: I see what this might be in the end.
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: And it just kind of helped my mindset as an actor.
- 6:50SPEAKER_00: It made it less about the,
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: me and like,
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: oh,
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: if I'm good enough,
- 6:55SPEAKER_00: then I will get this role.
- 6:56It was like,
- 6:57no,
- 6:57sometimes it's just,
- 6:59we need somebody to do something because that's how they,
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: show up in the world and that,
- 7:06SPEAKER_00: yeah,
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: it has nothing to do necessarily all the time with talent.
- 7:10SPEAKER_00: Sometimes it's a look, sometimes it's, you know, you fit the costume.
- 7:14SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 7:15SPEAKER_00: But it really,
- 7:16doing schlurbits really helped my mindset around all of that
- 7:20because I calmed down
- 7:21SPEAKER_00: about it.
- 7:21SPEAKER_00: I got this peek behind the curtain that I gave myself.
- 7:25SPEAKER_00: where I could see, oh, it's not just about the acting.
- 7:28It's about all of this stuff,
- 7:31this whole giant puzzle,
- 7:32and how do all these pieces fit together.
- 7:35But the absolute best part of Schlerwitz was that it fed my
- 7:41creative soul.
- 7:43SPEAKER_00: So instead of sitting around waiting for somebody to cast me,
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: waiting to get an audition,
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: waiting to be invited into the entertainment industry,
- 7:51SPEAKER_00: I just did it myself.
- 7:53I cast myself in funny roles and interesting scenarios that I
- 7:59wanted to explore.
- 8:01SPEAKER_00: I got to express my creativity through writing,
- 8:06SPEAKER_00: through filming,
- 8:06SPEAKER_00: through acting,
- 8:07SPEAKER_00: and even through editing,
- 8:08SPEAKER_00: which I had no freaking clue how to edit anything.
- 8:13But once I sort of got over the learning curve and was like,
- 8:18okay,
- 8:18like I can figure this out.
- 8:20SPEAKER_00: Everything can be figured out.
- 8:23It was a creative challenge that I really enjoyed and it was a
- 8:26new way to be creative.
- 8:28SPEAKER_00: So I'd be like, oh, I want to cut from that to that.
- 8:31SPEAKER_00: And then do I want to cut, do I like this take or do I like this take?
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: How does this take match up with this take?
- 8:36SPEAKER_00: If I cut here and I do this and I,
- 8:38SPEAKER_00: ooh,
- 8:39SPEAKER_00: what about adding fun graphics or adding fun sound effects or whatever?
- 8:43Like it was just,
- 8:44it was a really fun creative process,
- 8:46a part of that whole creative process.
- 8:50SPEAKER_00: So I've lost my place in my notes.
- 8:53SPEAKER_00: Hold for a second, my dear friends.
- 8:57SPEAKER_00: So yeah.
- 8:58Looking back on the series,
- 9:00on Schlerbitz as a whole,
- 9:01I am still really proud of that work.
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: I'm proud of everything that I learned doing that comedy web series.
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: And I'm proud of myself as an actress.
- 9:11SPEAKER_00: I'm proud of myself as a DIY filmmaker.
- 9:14SPEAKER_00: It was just a really great experience overall.
- 9:17SPEAKER_00: And it certainly fed my creative soul.
- 9:20SPEAKER_00: Because my one rule for myself was make myself laugh.
- 9:27I found that if I found an idea funny,
- 9:31hopefully the audience would find it funny too.
- 9:34SPEAKER_00: And if they didn't, then at least I had fun.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: And I was brave enough to put my work out into the world anyway.
- 9:43SPEAKER_00: And it was a really great process.
- 9:46SPEAKER_00: And the idea of putting your work out into the world,
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: it's a really great segue into the second half of our advice today.
- 9:55SPEAKER_00: No one cares.
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: So sharing your creative endeavors with the world can be very scary.
- 10:04SPEAKER_00: It can feel very vulnerable.
- 10:06And there were plenty of times on Schlerbits where I worried
- 10:10that people would be
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: really critical of my work or think like,
- 10:14SPEAKER_00: oh,
- 10:14SPEAKER_00: there's Amy in her bits again.
- 10:16SPEAKER_00: Does she really think she's funny?
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: These are just embarrassing.
- 10:19SPEAKER_00: I don't know why they all talk like that,
- 10:21SPEAKER_00: but that's how they were in my,
- 10:23SPEAKER_00: in my,
- 10:24SPEAKER_00: those were the voices in my head.
- 10:25SPEAKER_00: I was worried what other people would think.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: And then when my comments weren't flooded with haters and trolls,
- 10:34I started to lean into this idea that people just really didn't
- 10:38care one way or the
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: other what I was doing.
- 10:41SPEAKER_00: And certainly not enough to take the time to throw shade my way.
- 10:47In fact,
- 10:47despite all of my fears and worries,
- 10:49you know,
- 10:50like,
- 10:50oh my God,
- 10:50what will they think?
- 10:53What if this is a really stupid idea and I look like an idiot
- 10:56and all this kind of stuff?
- 10:57Most comments were actually incredibly supportive or they just
- 11:01didn't happen.
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: So it wasn't as scary as I thought it was going to be.
- 11:09SPEAKER_00: Additionally,
- 11:10I think another thing that's really important to keep in mind
- 11:13with this type of
- 11:14SPEAKER_00: advice about no one cares is that whenever I've caught myself thinking,
- 11:19SPEAKER_00: who do they think they are?
- 11:21They're all proud of their short film or their web series or
- 11:25their funny viral video.
- 11:28SPEAKER_00: Most of the time, that's my own jealousy speaking.
- 11:34SPEAKER_00: I want to be doing whatever it is that they're doing.
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: But that, those feelings are my problem.
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: That's up to me.
- 11:46SPEAKER_00: It's not up to them.
- 11:48SPEAKER_00: It's up to me to recognize, oh, I'm feeling some feelings about this.
- 11:55I'm kind of jealous of the fact that this person is out there
- 11:58doing their thing and
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: I want to be doing that too.
- 12:03SPEAKER_00: So recognizing that
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: I then need to adjust my actions.
- 12:07SPEAKER_00: It's not on the person putting their stuff out into the world.
- 12:13It's on the receiver if they're going to throw shade on it
- 12:17because they're jealous about it.
- 12:19SPEAKER_00: So if someone slides into your DMs,
- 12:21SPEAKER_00: which I don't even know if we're still saying that,
- 12:23but if somebody leaves a nasty comment or says something mean
- 12:28about something that
- 12:29SPEAKER_00: you've put out into the world,
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: likely that's a them issue.
- 12:35SPEAKER_00: So if you're witness,
- 12:36SPEAKER_00: if you know,
- 12:37SPEAKER_00: cause if witnessing your creativity triggers something within them,
- 12:43SPEAKER_00: that's not your fault.
- 12:45SPEAKER_00: That's not your problem.
- 12:48Let it go as best you can and just keep creating because maybe
- 12:55witnessing your creativity
- 12:58spread out in the world witnessing you share your creativity
- 13:02witnessing you share
- 13:03your ideas witnessing you share the things that make you laugh
- 13:07witnessing you share
- 13:09your art with the world eventually maybe they'll go oh I'm
- 13:16jealous I or you know
- 13:18just oh I I want to do that too that's why it bothers me is
- 13:23because I want to do it
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: too and I somehow think I can't
- 13:27So maybe witnessing your creativity sprinkled around in the
- 13:31world will inspire them
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: to do their own creative thing,
- 13:36SPEAKER_00: put their own work out into the world.
- 13:38And that'd be a really cool thing because I think the world
- 13:40needs more creativity,
- 13:43SPEAKER_00: more art,
- 13:44SPEAKER_00: more people just doing what they want to be doing,
- 13:49putting their ideas and their thoughts and their creations and
- 13:53their art out into
- 13:54SPEAKER_00: the world and
- 13:57lighting up because of that so just create things have fun be
- 14:04yourself live your
- 14:05life and don't worry about what the others will think and just
- 14:09let everybody do the
- 14:10same and a couple of quick reminders to wrap us up today if you
- 14:19become a paid
- 14:19SPEAKER_00: subscriber on mySubstack
- 14:22SPEAKER_00: You can now access Zoom office hours.
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: That's the fun way I'm calling it.
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: You can access Zoom office hours with me.
- 14:31SPEAKER_00: It's like, yeah, it's a Zoom.
- 14:33SPEAKER_00: It's community Zoom.
- 14:35It's $7 a month or $70 for the year to subscribe as a paid
- 14:39subscriber on my sub stack.
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: And you can come practice mindfulness live with me.
- 14:44talk about your mindset in a supportive group environment if
- 14:48there is a group
- 14:49depending on the time and the day you know just like with
- 14:53college professors when
- 14:54they held office hours you know you you might be the only one
- 14:57there and then you'd
- 14:58get me all to yourself which that could be fun and you'd we'd
- 15:01get to work on
- 15:02whatever it was that you wanted to work on during office hours
- 15:05could be a lot of
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: fun and if you really want to make sure that you get me all to yourself
- 15:09SPEAKER_00: you can come experience a free session with me.
- 15:12SPEAKER_00: That we schedule,
- 15:13SPEAKER_00: we find a time that works exactly right for you,
- 15:15and you can experience what it's like to have me as your
- 15:20mindfulness and mindset
- 15:21SPEAKER_00: coach.
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: It's a chance for us to connect,
- 15:24SPEAKER_00: to see where your mindset currently is with regard to your acting career,
- 15:29SPEAKER_00: your creative profession.
- 15:31And you'll walk away with some ideas that you can put into
- 15:34practice immediately to
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: start seeing results.
- 15:38SPEAKER_00: Maybe with quieting your inner critic,
- 15:41SPEAKER_00: smoothing out the roller coaster of being an actor or a creative.
- 15:46so that all the ups and downs and the twists and turns stop
- 15:49making you feel sick to
- 15:50SPEAKER_00: your stomach.
- 15:51And you can sit with them and go,
- 15:53oh,
- 15:53okay,
- 15:55I'm living the life of an actor.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: Right now it's really hard, but in a bit it might be really great.
- 16:02SPEAKER_00: I'm on this ride and I might as well enjoy it.
- 16:05SPEAKER_00: So you can come and experience a complimentary session with me.
- 16:09SPEAKER_00: You can go to my website,
- 16:10SPEAKER_00: thealignedactor.com to get set up with that and we'll have a lot of fun.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: And speaking of roller coasters, auditions.
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: Auditions can really be a roller coaster, right?
- 16:23SPEAKER_00: Because you're like, yeah, I got an audition.
- 16:26SPEAKER_00: Oh, no, I have to figure out how to do it.
- 16:28SPEAKER_00: And can I do it?
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: And when am I going to do it?
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: And there's just all these ups and downs of the audition process.
- 16:39SPEAKER_00: And I've created a meditation,
- 16:41SPEAKER_00: a guided meditation,
- 16:42to help you get out of your head and calm down and come back to
- 16:47focusing on
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: whatever it is that your character wants in the scene.
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: So that you're really focused on your work before you hit record.
- 16:56SPEAKER_00: So that then you can present your best work to casting.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: It is available on my website, thealignedactor.com.
- 17:04You can go there and you can find,
- 17:07there's a link somewhere on my website.
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: Pretty sure it's very obvious.
- 17:12SPEAKER_00: It should be.
- 17:13SPEAKER_00: I'll go check.
- 17:14SPEAKER_00: If it's not real obvious,
- 17:15I'll make it real obvious that you can get my pre-audition
- 17:18focusing meditation.
- 17:19SPEAKER_00: And it's completely free.
- 17:20SPEAKER_00: It's just like a little gift for you.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: But what is not free is my e-book, Accessing Calm.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: Accessing Calm is my $7, so it's almost free.
- 17:32SPEAKER_00: It's like the price of a latte these days, right?
- 17:37It's an ebook full of mindfulness-based tools that can help you
- 17:40calm down quickly
- 17:42SPEAKER_00: when you're stressed.
- 17:44SPEAKER_00: There are breathing exercises.
- 17:45SPEAKER_00: There are focusing exercises.
- 17:48SPEAKER_00: There's just some really fun on-the-go tools that you can use to access
- 17:53SPEAKER_00: mindfulness,
- 17:54SPEAKER_00: access the present moment,
- 17:55SPEAKER_00: and de-stress.
- 17:57SPEAKER_00: These are the tools that I use to manage stress.
- 18:00SPEAKER_00: It's a fun, quick read and there are video demonstrations.
- 18:04So you get to follow along and watch me do the technique and
- 18:07then you can do it too.
- 18:08SPEAKER_00: And it's fun.
- 18:09It's kind of interactive in that way,
- 18:11except not completely because I don't react with you.
- 18:16SPEAKER_00: You just react to me and you get it.
- 18:18SPEAKER_00: It's video demonstrations.
- 18:19SPEAKER_00: I think you understand.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: You can also get the ebook on my website.
- 18:24I'm just going to reference my website throughout this whole
- 18:26thing because I think
- 18:26SPEAKER_00: that's easier.
- 18:28SPEAKER_00: Thealignedactor.com.
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: That is where everything me lives.
- 18:33SPEAKER_00: Thealignedactor.com.
- 18:35SPEAKER_00: And then finally, I have an upcoming workshop on mindfulness.
- 18:39SPEAKER_00: at the SAG-AFTRA Los Angeles Conservatory.
- 18:44SPEAKER_00: So you have to be a member of SAG-AFTRA,
- 18:47SPEAKER_00: the Actors Union,
- 18:48SPEAKER_00: and then you also have to join the SAG-AFTRA Los Angeles Conservatory.
- 18:53SPEAKER_00: There's a New York Conservatory.
- 18:55SPEAKER_00: There might be other market conservatories as well,
- 18:58SPEAKER_00: but I teach at the SAG-AFTRA Los Angeles Conservatory.
- 19:03SPEAKER_00: Membership in that conservatory is $45 for the year,
- 19:07and that gives you access to a ton of classes and workshops and
- 19:14continuing
- 19:14SPEAKER_00: education and all this kind of stuff.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: You can take
- 19:17SPEAKER_00: stuff online.
- 19:18SPEAKER_00: My stuff is online currently.
- 19:20You can also go down to the beautiful SAG building and take
- 19:23classes there.
- 19:24SPEAKER_00: It's gorgeous.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: I was there for the weekend intensive and it was nice.
- 19:29I'm thinking about putting in some in-person classes because
- 19:35it's such a nice building.
- 19:36SPEAKER_00: That's how nice the building is.
- 19:38I might actually go there even though I don't particularly like
- 19:42leaving my house.
- 19:43SPEAKER_00: My house is comfortable.
- 19:44SPEAKER_00: Can you blame me?
- 19:46So yeah,
- 19:48so these workshops,
- 19:50this workshop on mindfulness is coming up in November.
- 19:53It's mindfulness 101,
- 19:55empower your craft and your career with your presence.
- 19:58And you can come in and experience a guided mindfulness session
- 20:01with me and get,
- 20:04SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 20:05SPEAKER_00: all the benefits of mindfulness,
- 20:06SPEAKER_00: understand about those,
- 20:07pick up some little helpful tools that you can use in auditions
- 20:12and on set.
- 20:14SPEAKER_00: to help you resettle kind of quickly on the go.
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: And it's a really good time.
- 20:20SPEAKER_00: So I would invite you to come join us there.
- 20:22For that,
- 20:24you have to go to the SAG-AFTRA Los Angeles Conservatory
- 20:28website.
- 20:29SPEAKER_00: I have a link in my substack for that.
- 20:32SPEAKER_00: And I don't have one on my website.
- 20:35SPEAKER_00: I should put one on my website.
- 20:37SPEAKER_00: My dog is freaking out because somebody came to our door.
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: I don't know who it is, though, so I'm not going to answer it.
- 20:43SPEAKER_00: Because why?
- 20:45SPEAKER_00: It's probably someone trying to sell me something.
- 20:48Anyway,
- 20:49it's fun that this happened at the very end of our whole
- 20:54discussion here.
- 20:55SPEAKER_00: And yeah, did I tell you, I told you about the links.
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah,
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: that you can go to the,
- 21:00SPEAKER_00: okay,

- 21:15SPEAKER_00: There are links in the show notes.

- 21:23SPEAKER_00: I'm going to go see what's going on out there.
- 21:27SPEAKER_00: My dog.
