- 0:06[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville Jaguar's fans, welcome in to DoVolte Daily Business by GenJag.com.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Jordan Aluga.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks so much for being here Saturday.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_00]: November 8th, one sleep away from your Jaguars.
- 0:15[SPEAKER_00]: Taking on the Houston Texans, a week 10 divisional matchup.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_00]: Again, between the Jags and Texans, Jags looking to sweep the Texans for the first time, since 2017,
- 0:28[SPEAKER_00]: Jags, they won't only play the Texans in the division, right?
- 0:31[SPEAKER_00]: They're gonna play the Texans twice before they play the Colts or the Titans once, which is such a weird scheduling kind of situation.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_00]: But it is what it is.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_00]: And the Jags have the Texans without CJ Stroud without a number of important players.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_00]: You can look at this one.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_00]: Both teams are absolutely getting crushed.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_00]: by the injury bug right now.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it is crazy.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_00]: When you look at this injury and game status report, and we're gonna get into bold predictions.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_00]: I'm really excited to do these bold predictions here today, but the Jaguars will be without starting left guard Ezra Cleveland, so it seems like Colve and Lannon.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe Tuma, you're going to have some different guys up to potentially fill in that role.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: Jordan Lewis will not play Jaguar starting nickel, so you're going to have Jarian Jones out there.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_00]: You can feel pretty good about that depth there, Hunter Long out.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaggs, I mean, you know, Britain's strange is already out for at least this week.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_00]: You know, he's been on IR for a little while, Hunter Long out.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_00]: So Johnny Month, Quentin Morris, probably what you're looking at there.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe some Jordan aches, we'll see Brian Thomas, Jr. out with the ankle injury.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_00]: Now the good news is, obviously Brown and Jacobi Myers, Parker Washington.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_00]: Tim Patrick is healthy.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_00]: So he was not unavailable last week.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: Diamy Brown is healthy for this one.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_00]: Does not have a game status report.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_00]: So at these positions where you've got injuries, you've got some level of confidence.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: And then with the Texans,
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: big and injury news on the right side of the offensive line.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_00]: Titus Howard, not going to be in this one, adding, from not going to be in this one.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_00]: They do have Blake Fisher at Wright Tackle.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_00]: So I mean, I don't think that that's a major downgrade, but you also have obviously CJ Strowd out.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_00]: Jalen Petri out is a big deal in my opinion.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 2:43[SPEAKER_00]: They've got a lot of guys that they're not going to be able to go and Christian hair is not going to be able to go their kicker fair bearing not going to be able to go So you've got Matthew Wright who is obviously a former Jaguar's legend Okay for them.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: So that's just a recap of where we're at injury Roy.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_00]: Why is going into this game?
- 3:04[SPEAKER_00]: You do have Devon Lloyd coming back for the jags which is big and we're going to talk about that.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to start out
- 3:09[SPEAKER_00]: Texan's offense vs. Jack's defense, the bold predictions are there.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: Then we're going to do Jack's offense vs. Texan's defense, and final score prediction.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_00]: Excited to get into it, obviously predicting all the things I'm going to predict is a bit of folly you never know how game...
- 3:24[SPEAKER_00]: Games are gonna go with wacky plays, weird plays, poor officiating, whatever it may be.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_00]: But this is kind of my best guess at how this game will potentially go.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all being here.

- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: Look good while doing it.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_00]: Get a free sticker with every order.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely love those little guys.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, jingak.com.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_00]: So, Texan's offense versus Jags Diefen.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_00]: with some not so great.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_00]: I think Nico Collins and Dalton Schultz combined for 175 yards and two touchdowns.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_00]: Not pretty, right?
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: Nico Collins has had his way with the Jack Wars a lot of his career.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_00]: He plays primarily on the outside, a receiver who is physically dominant, a really just impressive player.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_00]: One of the most, I still think one of the most underrated receivers in the league this year and just over the last.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_00]: three, four years.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_00]: Nico Collins is a top 10 receiver in my opinion pretty clearly, but he doesn't always get talked about that way.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: He will align the vast majority of his snaps outside, so you're talking about seeing Greg Newsom, talking about seeing Buster Brown.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_00]: I think both of those guys are playing well right now.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: I really do.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_00]: but I still think Nico Collins is a better overall player and he has a rapport with Davis Mills and Davis Mills is a pretty accurate thrower for the most part.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that Nico Collins versus Greg Newsman Buster Brown on the outside is gonna be fascinating to the Jack Wars, get into some zone match.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_00]: Today, Ron Mann coverage that usually hasn't gone very well for them this year so far.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_00]: And I do think Greg Newsman has the physical ability
- 5:23[SPEAKER_00]: Buster Brown, he's his own corner, bottom line.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_00]: So I think Nico Collins eats a little bit.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that's just what he does against the jacks.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_00]: And then you look at the jacks against tight ends.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_00]: They've averaged 100 yards per game allowed to tight ends over the last four weeks, 100.25 something like that.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_00]: Over the last four games, when you look at the chiefs,
- 5:52[SPEAKER_00]: So, tight ends have eaten.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_00]: They've been scoring touchdowns.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_00]: So, for me, it's like Anthony Camponele and this defense, they've got to prove to me they can shut down and opposing legitimate wide receiver one.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_00]: They've got to prove to me they can shut down a good tight end and Dalton Schultz is he on the same level of a Brock Bowers?
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely not.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not predicting he gets 130 yards and three touchdowns, but I am predicting him have a pretty good days.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_00]: He's, I think he has the most catches for the Texans this year.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_00]: He's gonna be heavily involved.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_00]: So show me that you can kind of slow these guys down and I do think Devin Lloyd returning makes a big difference.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_00]: And we can talk about that right now.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: Devin Lloyd, I've gotten with an interception but I think he's gonna get his hands on the ball.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's going to have a turnover.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's big.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: Devin Lloyd, not being available, has been a major problem for the Jaguars because he was playing in my opinion at an MVP level.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_00]: Defends a player of the year level.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_00]: I always say MVP.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_00]: Defends a player of the year level.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_00]: And I know some people will disagree with that.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_00]: Some people will say he wasn't as consistent, but when you have a lineback or off-ball linebacker, who is consistently making an impact as a Russia, as a run defender, and in coverage, and forcing turnovers the way he was forcing them, he is changing games, he is changing outcomes of games.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's gonna do it again this week.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's gonna have a good one.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_00]: And the good news about Devon Lollidzendry, he could have played last week.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: But they didn't want to force him back.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_00]: They didn't want to have a higher risk of re-entry.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: So he really is good to go.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_00]: Right now.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: He absolutely is.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: Excited to see him out there.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_00]: Jags defense against the run.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_00]: That's been the most consistent part of the Jag war's team.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: This entire year stopping the run.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_00]: The Texans have Woody Marx.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: They don't have a great run game.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: They've had some big days against porous run defenses.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_00]: The Jag war's again, are not a porous run defense.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_00]: They've got everybody good to go in their front seven.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_00]: You've got everybody.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: Trayvon, he's not suspended or anything like that, he's good to go, Josh Hines Allen.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_00]: That might be your best run defense, edge duo in the league.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_00]: Eric Gromstead, Devon Hamilton, all those guys in the middle, they're good at stopping the run, and then your linebackers are great against the run, everybody in your secondary is willing to hit.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Texans, they average about 2.5 yards, 2.7, under 3 yards per carry on the ground in this one.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: What he marks is a good young player, but I don't think he's going to have anywhere to go.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_00]: I think the jacks are going to be flying downhill and it'd be very aggressive in stopping the run.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's going to help them overall, but again, it's one of those things where the top guys for the opposing offense, I still have them eating.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_00]: I do have Josh Heinz Allen getting after it, smashing that sack record for the jag wars with multiple sacks in this game.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_00]: He's got a juicy matchup against area on Tay Erserie.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_00]: He did really well last time these two played.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_00]: He's been playing at an extremely high level.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_00]: Teams have been chipping him.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_00]: They've been running away from him.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_00]: They have been getting the ball out extremely quickly the last two weeks.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_00]: He's still making an impact.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: Josh Hines Allen, I think that he's going to have a game, a big game against the Texans.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_00]: I also think Trayvom Walker and Eric are going to be impactful.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_00]: Trayvom Walker,
- 9:19[SPEAKER_00]: really has not had a major positive impact on a game in a while, you know, mostly due to the wrist injury.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_00]: That's absolutely fair.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_00]: That's absolutely true.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_00]: But it's something you really need.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_00]: You need Trayvon.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: You're first overall picked up to really bring it.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_00]: And last time he played the Texans, he got a sack.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_00]: The two games before he had the wrist injury, he was really playing
- 9:49[SPEAKER_00]: game-changing level for the Jaguar's defense in my opinion, and I think he can return to that this week.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_00]: After disappointing ejection last week against the Raiders, a bad decision, I think Trayvon Walker goes out there and has something to prove.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think this defense of front has a big day.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_00]: But as I mentioned, I think the Texans do score two touchdowns.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: I've got him going for 140 yards on 35 carries, 140 plus yards.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_00]: Not like a banner day on the ground, but a workman, a steady and a heavy dose of running.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_00]: You don't get away from running the way you did in the first half against the Texans last time.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_00]: If they have something up there, sleeve which they did last time with the big bear front, you felt like you couldn't run your stuff, you got to stick with it.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_00]: You just got to stick with the run, regardless of the script, regardless of anything.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_00]: keep your run game alive, keep it going, and I think they will.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: I think Travis ETN is going to have over 100 total yards.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to have a pretty good day on the ground, and then also contribute through the air for 100 total yards, 100 plus total yards, having a big impact against the Texans, which he has done a lot throughout his career.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_00]: Jacobie Myers, the new guy on the block, new kid on the block.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_00]: It's funny hearing all the guys talking about how
- 11:13[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, and he, Jacobi talked about it too.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_00]: They were talking some serious trash last week, and then he gets traded to the Jaguars right after.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_00]: So that's fun.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_00]: But I like a guy who talks trash.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_00]: I'm here for that.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_00]: Jacobi Myers.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have him going crazy, but I have him making an impact and being able to pick up.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_00]: Three, first downs on third down for the jag wars.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_00]: That's a pretty big deal right there and in total of five catches for 60 yards.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_00]: Nothing crazy, but you're not asking for anything crazy from Jacobi Myers.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: He does need to be more than he normally is because you don't have Travis Hunter because you don't have, or not more than he normally is.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_00]: More than he normally will ask to be in this offense with this team when you have Travis Hunter and Brian Thomas Jr. healthy.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_00]: It's his first week.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think you go crazy.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_00]: Five catches, 60 yards, very good day, helps the Jaguars in this game, helps the Jaguars keep the ball moving and keep the chains moving and just stay on the field offensively.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_00]: Also think Parker Washington is going to be their leading target getter, which is not really that bold of a prediction, considering how heavily he's been targeted in the last couple games, considering the rapport he has with Trevor Lawrence,
- 12:29[SPEAKER_00]: Parker's entire career three years.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_00]: So I think Parker has like seven catches, 85 yards, and a touchdown for the Jag wars in this game.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_00]: He has the best matchup of any of the Jag wars receivers.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to be the slot receiver.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_00]: The Texans are without J.L.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_00]: and Petrie.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_00]: They do have MJ Stewart.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_00]: MJ Stewart's a good player.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_00]: But Parker Washington vs. MJ Stewart, or Jacobi vs. Stingley or Lastider, or Tim Patrick or Stingley or Lastider, I'm going with Parker Washington, meaning the Jaguar's leading target getter in this game.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_00]: I think that Travis ETN could potentially have a really big receiving game, but Parker Washington, I'm going to have him score in a touchdown leading the Jaguars in receiving in this game and helping the Jags put points on the board with a touchdown.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_00]: That leads us to Trevor Lawrence, yes, you're quarterback for a lot of fans around here still want to run out of the building for whatever reason.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence, I have him with two touchdowns, a passing touchdown to Parker Washington, and a rushing touchdown.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_00]: He has been the rushing touchdown king of lightly, not only for the Jag wars, but in general.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I don't think any quarterback is scoring as many rushing touchdowns over the last month as Trevor Lawrence, and that's been a big part of the offense to success, keeping the chains moving, staying on the field, scoring points.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_00]: So whether it's like a scramble, a quarterback draw,
- 14:03[SPEAKER_00]: up and over, touch push, whatever it is, sneak, I think Trevor Lawrence is going to find the enzyme with his legs again in this game, so I've got him scoring two touchdowns.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_00]: Probably throw him one in reception, yeah, Texan's defense is tough, I mean, you got to give them a lot of credit, Cam Little.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_00]: Special teams, two of three on field goals, one that seals the game at the end.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_00]: Logan Cook is going to help the Jaguars in the punning department this game.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: This game should have a little more distance than I'm expecting it to, but the Jaguars inability to stop the opponent's top offensive weapons, Nico Collins, Dalton Schultz, we've seen this story before, until Anthony Campanila and that defense gets that cleaned up, how can I predict anything else?
- 14:54[SPEAKER_00]: and their inability to get out of their own way at times on offense with the pre-snap penalties, combined with the Texans having a really talented defense.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_00]: It's a close game, it's a divisional game.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_00]: Jaguars, 20, Texans, 17, clean sweep, 2-in-0 in the vision, 2-in-0 against the Texans, 6-in-3 moving on and getting that much closer to really competing for this division, and that much close to potentially getting Britain's strange back, some other important players for the Jaguars like Brian Thomas Jr., Jordan Lewis,
- 15:29[SPEAKER_00]: a number of other guys.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_00]: So that's where we're at.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_00]: Jaguars win 2017.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_00]: Hope y'all enjoyed the bold predictions today.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_00]: I always enjoy this show.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_00]: So let me know what you think in the comment section below.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully y'all have a fun college football Saturday.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_00]: Enjoy your Saturday.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_00]: Get some sleep.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_00]: Get ready.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_00]: Long day of football tomorrow.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_00]: We have London football and are not London.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_00]: Is it Berlin?
- 15:52[SPEAKER_00]: Germany?
- 15:54[SPEAKER_00]: Where is it?
- 15:57[SPEAKER_00]: I like this up now.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_00]: I know this is a great podcasting.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see here.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_00]: Where is this game?
- 16:11[SPEAKER_00]: The reason it's such a big deal is because it's Colts and Falcons.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's in Berlin.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_00]: Colts and Falcons, 9.30 AM, so that's fun.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_00]: And then obviously Jaguar's kickoff at one and then you have your afternoon slate, Sunday Night Football, that good stuff.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_00]: It should be a fun day of Sunday Football, got some beautiful weather here in Jacksonville, but you're really pulling for the Atlanta Falcons who have been one of the more inconsistent teams in football this year to be able to take down the Indianapolis Colts.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_00]: If the Jaguar's beat the Texans and the Colts lose, the Colts are seven and three, the Jaggs are six and three, Colts have played one more game.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_00]: Jag wars right on their heels and they have the opportunity to take them down twice.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_00]: So that's exciting stuff.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_00]: Again, really appreciate y'all be in here.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_00]: Have a good one.
