- 1 00:00:00,000 --> 00:00:02,580 It's still real to be a damnit! 2 00:00:02,580 --> 00:00:12,580 [Music] 3 00:00:12,580 --> 00:00:19,900 Welcome everybody! Welcome to this week's edition of this to a real show. 4 00:00:19,900 --> 00:00:25,980 Episode 838 from March 5th, 2026. This is your WWE elimination chamber. 5 00:00:25,980 --> 00:00:34,020 Recap and review edition of SRTU. I am one after the show. I am Jeff Peck. 6 00:00:34,020 --> 00:00:40,180 Joined every single week by coach, the one only Dr. Dre Franklin. Dr. Dre, we are. 7 00:00:40,180 --> 00:00:46,220 Nothing's in the way. We are straight ahead on the road to WrestleMania 42, my friend. 8 00:00:46,220 --> 00:00:53,700 We are indeed in this road. Had some curves and some bumps and maybe a couple of 9 00:00:53,700 --> 00:01:00,100 you turns in there. But yeah, we are on the road. There is finger pointing, sign pointing. 10 00:01:00,100 --> 00:01:06,620 Everybody is excited, so to speak. And thank God we are not in Saudi Arabia this year. 11 00:01:06,620 --> 00:01:11,220 That's very true and who knows if they will be in Saudi Arabia next year, quite honestly. 12 00:01:11,220 --> 00:01:15,180 Something to think about, something to ponder. And if you don't know what we are talking about, 13 00:01:15,180 --> 00:01:19,340 I guess just watch the news. Because not good times, not good times over there. 14 00:01:19,340 --> 00:01:23,340 But that is the type of show that we do here, folks. This is something that maybe we will talk about 15 00:01:23,340 --> 00:01:27,660 if it's still ongoing six to 12 months from now. But thankfully we don't have to worry about that 16 00:01:27,660 --> 00:01:32,300 at the present moment. But that is certainly something to really consider folks. 17 00:01:32,300 --> 00:01:38,980 I guess it would be WrestleMania is war. Would be the title for WrestleMania 43. 18 00:01:38,980 --> 00:01:44,060 With that being said, let's steer ourselves back this past Saturday to the United 19 00:01:44,060 --> 00:01:48,980 Center in Chicago, Illinois, for WWE elimination chamber, recap and review. 20 00:01:48,980 --> 00:01:55,540 Dr. Trey, the first match that we will be recapping here is the Women's elimination chamber match, 21 00:01:55,540 --> 00:02:00,020 which was won by Rhea Ripley. She defeated Tiffany Stratton, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, 22 00:02:00,020 --> 00:02:05,060 Kiana James, and Raquel Rodriguez. She has now earned a shot at WWE Women's Championship 23 00:02:05,060 --> 00:02:11,180 shot at WrestleMania 42 against Jade Cardgill, more on those two in just a little bit. 24 00:02:11,180 --> 00:02:15,380 But looking at the match itself, I had Rhea Ripley, Ua Tiffany Stratton, Dr. Trey. 25 00:02:15,380 --> 00:02:19,540 I thought this was a solid elimination chamber match. Kiana James has really been impressed 26 00:02:19,540 --> 00:02:23,340 at me lately and she held her own with several veterans in the match. Additionally, I'm starting 27 00:02:23,340 --> 00:02:26,980 to really believe the sky is the limit for Raquel Rodriguez, who has found a persona that 28 00:02:26,980 --> 00:02:31,060 can really help elevate her. Rhea getting the victory makes sense to me. As a match with 29 00:02:31,060 --> 00:02:35,300 Jade Cardgill has a WrestleMania feel to it. It feels like Cardgill Ripley could be in 30 00:02:35,300 --> 00:02:39,140 response to poor ticket sales as it has never felt like this was the long term WrestleMania 31 00:02:39,140 --> 00:02:43,460 plan for Jade. It always felt like either Bianca Belair, who's out with injury or 32 00:02:43,460 --> 00:02:48,220 a Charlotte Flair because they've been teasing those two having some interactions for about 33 00:02:48,220 --> 00:02:53,020 like six months now. And Rhea Ripley wasn't really on the radar. It was shaping up for Rhea 34 00:02:53,020 --> 00:02:57,260 to be in the backseat for the Women's Division at WrestleMania 42 this year to me. I felt 35 00:02:57,260 --> 00:03:01,420 like she was more inclined to be in a tag team. Women's tag team match, not in a world title 36 00:03:01,420 --> 00:03:06,220 match. It felt like other players are going to be in there. But here we are, Dr. Trey. 37 00:03:06,220 --> 00:03:11,820 When all else fails, you call up this top star in the Women's Division in women's wrestling 38 00:03:11,820 --> 00:03:16,700 and all in general to me is Rhea Ripley. And that is who's getting the call here. Rhea Ripley 39 00:03:16,700 --> 00:03:18,820 wins the elimination chamber match, Dr. Trey. 40 00:03:18,820 --> 00:03:25,380 Yeah, if we had recorded this show after Smackdown Friday night, I'd probably want to change 41 00:03:25,380 --> 00:03:31,620 my pick. Because once I saw the Women's Tag belts come off of, I hate saying Rhea, by the 42 00:03:31,620 --> 00:03:36,980 way, Rhea. I just, every time I think of that, I think of Rhea from AEW. But once I saw 43 00:03:36,980 --> 00:03:43,980 the belts come off Rhea in EO, I was like, oh, Jeff's right, they're going with Rhea Ripley 44 00:03:43,980 --> 00:03:50,540 here. But overall, I thought the chamber match was really well done. It was kind of bomb 45 00:03:50,540 --> 00:03:54,100 that Alexa wasn't around the match longer because she is still one of my favorites. But 46 00:03:54,100 --> 00:04:01,460 yeah, Keanu James looked great. Racheel Rodriguez, I mean, I know they are kind of doing the 47 00:04:01,460 --> 00:04:08,260 Kevin Nash diesel, big sexy gimmick. But it's working for her. That power slam through 48 00:04:08,260 --> 00:04:14,020 the chamber was awesome. Just overall top to bottom, just a really, really solid match. 49 00:04:14,020 --> 00:04:20,760 And Jade and Rhea, and now, here's the question. Does that mean Rhea is no longer on Raw if 50 00:04:20,760 --> 00:04:25,540 she wins the Women's World Championship? I don't know how that works out. When you have 51 00:04:25,540 --> 00:04:32,860 somebody from another brand, win the shot. Or do we just suspend brands right now through 52 00:04:32,860 --> 00:04:36,860 WrestleMania season? Well, there's never been the official thing there in regards to the 53 00:04:36,860 --> 00:04:41,780 brand stuff. There was a segment on Raw with Rhea and EO that basically kind of tied up 54 00:04:41,780 --> 00:04:46,900 for now, or maybe even permanently, the Rhea EO stuff. And basically, they just said, 55 00:04:46,900 --> 00:04:52,340 EO hold it down on Raw. I'm going to go over to Smackdown and take care of business. 56 00:04:52,340 --> 00:04:57,060 So I would imagine that if she loses, she goes back. But I'm with you. The brand stuff 57 00:04:57,060 --> 00:05:01,860 has always been very confusing. There's been most years they don't explain it well. And 58 00:05:01,860 --> 00:05:06,220 there has been that fraction of time where they do. It was like that period of time where 59 00:05:06,220 --> 00:05:10,820 basically the brands was out the window during WrestleMania season, which I thought was 60 00:05:10,820 --> 00:05:15,300 a really smart idea based on how they booked the matches. And then many, many, many, many 61 00:05:15,300 --> 00:05:19,780 years ago, it was a big deal when you had inter-promotional matches for Raw and Smackdown. So, which 62 00:05:19,780 --> 00:05:25,020 is the case here with Rhea and Jade. But yeah, Dr. Tray, it just never felt like that this 63 00:05:25,020 --> 00:05:31,420 was the direction for EO Ripley, an abrupt, strange ending for EO and her story in line 64 00:05:31,420 --> 00:05:36,380 to come to an end, the title drop. I thought the same thing that you did. I saw, once I saw 65 00:05:36,380 --> 00:05:44,020 the title change happening on Smackdown, I was like, oh, it's either, it's like, Rhea going 66 00:05:44,020 --> 00:05:47,300 to the chain, you know, winning the chamber now. There's a really good chance. And that 67 00:05:47,300 --> 00:05:52,780 was the direction that they went. This to me, I don't know. There's no reports out there 68 00:05:52,780 --> 00:05:58,580 right now. I feel like that WWE had other plans for Jade Cargill at WrestleMania. I would 69 00:05:58,580 --> 00:06:03,540 tend to think that the plan was once they originally put the title on her in the fall to pick 70 00:06:03,540 --> 00:06:07,580 it back up with her and Bianca once Bianca was clear, but she's not clear. I mean, she 71 00:06:07,580 --> 00:06:14,540 is having a gruesome and brutal return from a finger injury right now. And then the 72 00:06:14,540 --> 00:06:17,660 Charlotte Flair stuff, I mean, they've been teasing that for six, seven, eight months on 73 00:06:17,660 --> 00:06:23,180 Smackdown periodically, even pretty recently heading into her qualification match and they 74 00:06:23,180 --> 00:06:26,860 went with a different direction. I feel like if they probably went Charlotte and Jade 75 00:06:26,860 --> 00:06:30,980 they knew that the fans were going to revolt. So they went back to the well that makes a ton 76 00:06:30,980 --> 00:06:35,460 of sense and the well that is Rhea Ripley, Dr. Trey. And I think from a business standpoint 77 00:06:35,460 --> 00:06:42,620 of all the available women to face Jade Cargill, this to me screams WrestleMania match. 78 00:06:42,620 --> 00:06:46,660 And this is also part of that conversation we had a couple of weeks ago when we were looking 79 00:06:46,660 --> 00:06:51,660 at the potential card and we were like, all right, well, if you have Liv and Stephanie on 80 00:06:51,660 --> 00:07:00,140 one show, like, unless you had Jade and Tiffany or Jade and somebody else that wasn't 81 00:07:00,140 --> 00:07:07,300 a Rhea or a Charlotte, it just kind of felt like they were going to be overshadowed. And 82 00:07:07,300 --> 00:07:11,900 especially when we talked about the potential of Becky A.J. Intercontinental title match, 83 00:07:11,900 --> 00:07:16,900 or the Intercontinental title, could overshadow both women's world championship matches 84 00:07:16,900 --> 00:07:22,460 if you didn't have Rhea in the mix. So I kind of feel like they might have listened 85 00:07:22,460 --> 00:07:26,260 to our show, they might have listened to something else and made that adjustment because, yeah, 86 00:07:26,260 --> 00:07:29,980 like Charlotte would have been a great match, but like once again, then you're jumping 87 00:07:29,980 --> 00:07:34,060 you're out of the Alexa stuff to go into something with Jade and then what do you do here? 88 00:07:34,060 --> 00:07:39,100 I kind of feel like, hey, ending Rhea and EO right now makes sense because you can still 89 00:07:39,100 --> 00:07:46,020 do Charlotte and Alexa, I guess Nia and Lash and maybe throw Laya Valkary and Bailey into 90 00:07:46,020 --> 00:07:51,420 the mix and have a triple threat tag match. It kind of makes sense on the moving parts. 91 00:07:51,420 --> 00:07:56,260 And, you know, Rhea and Jade is kind of like one of those like dream matches that we talked 92 00:07:56,260 --> 00:08:00,940 about years ago when Jade was, you know, coming into her own in AEW as well. 93 00:08:00,940 --> 00:08:05,740 Yeah, she's certainly come a long way. So we've got Jade and Rhea now in WrestleMania. 94 00:08:05,740 --> 00:08:08,900 We'll talk more about that. There's been a lot of stuff on social media this past week 95 00:08:08,900 --> 00:08:16,420 that is hyping up that match and it's blurring the lines of what is fact, what is fiction, 96 00:08:16,420 --> 00:08:21,540 what is real, what is storyline. And this to me screams like whatever they're on season 97 00:08:21,540 --> 00:08:26,220 three or four of Unreal, like that's what they're going to be covering. But we'll find that 98 00:08:26,220 --> 00:08:30,900 out in like six to 12 months around when that eventually airs on Netflix. Next match here, 99 00:08:30,900 --> 00:08:35,260 Dr. Tray is AJ Lee defeating Becky Lynch to win the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship 100 00:08:35,260 --> 00:08:39,460 you and I both at AJ Lee in this one. I thought this match was pretty flawless for AJ Lee's first 101 00:08:39,460 --> 00:08:44,660 singles match in nearly 10 plus years until the very end sequence as there seemed to be some sort 102 00:08:44,660 --> 00:08:49,820 of miscommunication about the Becky Lynch exposed turnbuckle spot that end up ending the match 103 00:08:49,820 --> 00:08:54,460 shortly thereafter. Other than that, I thought it was a really good storytelling from both wrestlers 104 00:08:54,460 --> 00:08:59,060 and an enjoyable match. This is an early favorite for few of the year in 2026 for May, 105 00:08:59,060 --> 00:09:07,660 Dr. Tray. AJ Lee is your new Women's Intercontinental Champion? Kind of surprising to say. Not that AJ 106 00:09:07,660 --> 00:09:13,940 is just, you know, AJ hasn't had a single match in 10 years. There were senior in 2026 and AJ Lee's 107 00:09:13,940 --> 00:09:18,620 Intercontinental Champion, which by all means, the purpose is like I was just saying. I almost 108 00:09:18,620 --> 00:09:23,140 like the Intercontinental titles more important than everything else because of who we have feuding 109 00:09:23,140 --> 00:09:31,140 over it. But yeah, it was, it was a really, I took it as a really solid match. I enjoyed it. You're right. 110 00:09:31,140 --> 00:09:37,660 The ending was kind of off a little bit, but overall, especially for somebody and it's not like 111 00:09:37,660 --> 00:09:42,860 Becky's working every single week. You know, it's two women that are, you know, for lack of a better 112 00:09:42,860 --> 00:09:48,100 term part time, three quarter time and they had a damn good match on the pay for view and that crowd 113 00:09:48,100 --> 00:09:57,100 ate it up too. So it was entertaining and enjoyable to say the least. I've not seen any stories about this. It just, 114 00:09:57,100 --> 00:10:02,900 it's, I don't know if it's out there or what have you. I'm just getting the vibe, Dr. Tray, that this is 115 00:10:02,900 --> 00:10:11,100 that Becky Lynch is like cut that this may be her one of her last final good runs with the company. And I don't 116 00:10:11,100 --> 00:10:15,740 know if she said that in interviews or if she's come out and said it just feels that way dating back to 117 00:10:15,740 --> 00:10:22,060 when she returned almost a year ago now at WrestleMania attacked with Lyra, how the great feed with Lyra, Lyra has had really good 118 00:10:22,060 --> 00:10:28,420 storylines her character has been really fun as of late. The stuff with AJ Lee has been really good. She's extremely 119 00:10:28,420 --> 00:10:34,420 entertaining, great in-ring worker is getting the best out of a lot of people. Again, I don't know if this is 120 00:10:34,420 --> 00:10:39,860 to be true and if I'm just reading the tea leaves a little bit too closely, Dr. Tray, but I'm getting the vibe that this 121 00:10:39,860 --> 00:10:49,220 could be the last good long full-time run for Becky because you have to figure her daughter based off of 2020 now is like 122 00:10:49,220 --> 00:10:55,380 kindergarten first grade age and she may want to be home more from a personal standpoint. Again, I know nothing about that, 123 00:10:55,380 --> 00:11:02,540 but it just feels like Becky is a lot more giving during this run and is is making a point of making that type of 124 00:11:02,540 --> 00:11:04,460 impact right now. If that is to be the case. 125 00:11:05,260 --> 00:11:11,900 I saw an interview with Seth Rolls recently where he said WWE's been really really great. Anytime they have a long tour, 126 00:11:11,900 --> 00:11:19,100 like a long-term tour coming up or a bunch of dates coming up, they're able to check in and kind of figure out 127 00:11:19,100 --> 00:11:29,660 the logistics of parenting. When it comes to it, hey, if I'm going out, can Becky stay home or Becky's going out, 128 00:11:29,660 --> 00:11:37,500 can I stay back? I think they've been doing a good job, but you and I can both of this as you become a parent, your priorities kind of change and 129 00:11:37,500 --> 00:11:45,300 switch up a little bit and you know, Becky's it's no longer her passion is, you know, her passion is still wrestling, but it's not her number one 130 00:11:45,300 --> 00:11:53,860 anymore like it was in years past. So I think she's in that mindset of like, hey, let's make sure wrestling's in a better position when I leave 131 00:11:53,860 --> 00:12:02,820 than when I got here and I think you can think we can all agree it is and a lot of it is because of Becky Lynch. So if that's the route she takes, that's fine. 132 00:12:02,820 --> 00:12:10,620 I would like to see if she's going to finish up, especially with her husband coming back his baby face, kind of want to see one more run as just the man 133 00:12:10,620 --> 00:12:12,860 through WWE. 134 00:12:12,860 --> 00:12:19,460 So I'm keeping an eye on there. She feels like she's a lot more given in this run and it's been really, really fun and enjoyable. 135 00:12:20,020 --> 00:12:26,820 Next match here is CM Punk defeating Finn Balor to win the World of H or excuse me retain the World of H Championship with both had CM Punk in this one. 136 00:12:26,820 --> 00:12:37,260 This was a great match. You could tell that there's a lot of respect for Finn Balor's. You got a lot of offense and they told the great story where felt like at multiple moments that Balor had a legit chance to defeat Punk and 137 00:12:37,260 --> 00:12:46,900 change the rest of any 42 main event. I found this to be a very fun match and I was happy to see Balor get Balor get the spot. I hope it continues your thoughts on punk defeating Balor. 138 00:12:48,020 --> 00:12:59,780 Yeah, once again, I mean, I know we just had this match, but a few between CM Punk and Finn Balor for wrestling purists is kind of on our bucket list, dream list scenario of things. 139 00:12:59,780 --> 00:13:15,220 Just an outstanding match. I know Balor had the weird slip in the corner, which was the same corner that we saw coming to play during the men's chamber match, which I'm sure we'll touch on, but overall just 140 00:13:15,820 --> 00:13:33,140 hell of a match and you know, it does kind of let it creep. So like, hey, this is the direction they're going that Balor starts to go baby face. We didn't see it on raw because we got judgment day altogether and you know, Dom got cursed, but you know, is that the route that we're going at some point is that Finn goes baby face and leaves the judgment day. 141 00:13:33,140 --> 00:13:43,900 More on that rest of any 42 card run up here in just a bit and speaking of being cursed, doctor, try the next in we'll talk about here is not the men's elimination, but it was the reveal of who was in the crate. 142 00:13:44,420 --> 00:14:04,420 And it was the one and only Dan housing and he is revealed and the crowd sadly goes absolutely mild. I felt terribly bad for Dan housing if you have watched an out of character interview with Dan housing, you will fall in love with the person behind the paint that is the Dan housing character, very 143 00:14:04,420 --> 00:14:34,380 like a person has come an extremely long way has had a lot of downs has worked his way up his found a character that is completely over. And while I know everybody was hoping that Chris Jericho or the likes was going to be in there Dan housing gets the reveal I was happy with it. I cringe when I heard the reaction. I hate that Meltzer and Brian Alvarez on Russ and reserve a radio were comparing it to the Gobly cooker and shook shockmaster. I think that's extremely wrong and just like a really petty thing to say from from two. 144 00:14:34,380 --> 00:14:44,820 Guys that have very strong voices in the wrestling game because that could really that could affect the crowd reactions for Dan housing and I found that to be very low. 145 00:14:44,820 --> 00:15:01,060 And one of the things that I I don't like and I have been very high in a W light lately. The last time that Dan housing was on television was in a W I believe it was 2023 and the last time after that was like final battle. 146 00:15:01,060 --> 00:15:19,500 2024 or 23 for Ring of Honor wrestling that December he was in a contract dispute with the company there was no creative forum and they basically held him on the sidelines for about two and a half to three years on that off of national television when he had so much buzz and granted he's collecting a paycheck whatever. 147 00:15:19,780 --> 00:15:49,740 But he's not able to take advantage of his career and I think that's really shitty and we've seen that a lot with AW wrestlers that are on their way out unless AW thinks that they have a legitimate chance like they did with powerhouse Hobbs who eventually left for the company that's like the only case we've seen that happen but we've seen a play out with Rusev on dry day a lead a low is another case that is someone to powerhouse Hobbs the Dan housing stuff where his buzz was completely destroyed and you I mean a lot of people probably more than 50% don't know who Dan housing is unfortunately. 148 00:15:49,740 --> 00:16:08,700 If this was 2020 2021 22 he would have got a massive reaction I know that there's a lot of discussion about how he fits in a WWE I think my concerns about how he fits in WWE were alleviated the next or two nights later on Monday Night Raw with the backstage segment. 149 00:16:08,700 --> 00:16:38,660 I just felt like overall I thought it was really shitty I thought it was shitty that he was on the sideline for multiple years I thought it was a shitty reaction from Chicago to do that I get you on a Jericho or someone else and I thought it was a shitty reaction by some of the wrestling pundits to compare him to some of the worst gimmicks of all time when Dan housing is nowhere near that I mean that was just absolutely horrific that they did that but nonetheless Dr. Try I was pretty pissed off because I've listened to these interviews I really appreciate somebody who's worked to the job I've been doing. 150 00:16:38,660 --> 00:17:01,620 I just tell off he's had some legit tough times in his life which I think a lot of us can relate to nobody has a sober spoon in their mouths especially on this show and yeah I just thought it was it was unfortunate overall what happened on on Saturday's elimination chamber that segment and I really hope Dan housing is able to turn into a positive and on the short term it does feel like he is doing that as we speak. 151 00:17:01,620 --> 00:17:30,740 Yeah I I love Dan housing like he's like you said like if you if you see his out of character you see his fantastic you watch his work he's funny and enjoyable and kind of that little goofy comedy break that wrestling needs and we've had over you know I love when people tell me that you know that funny doesn't draw money and I'm like well then why we always had it going back to the early days when I was watching wrestling and even through the attitude air the William regal to jeerie stuff you know 152 00:17:30,740 --> 00:18:00,700 Santino Marrala our truth like these are all people that you know for all the purpose maybe not you know they were they weren't really featured in many of them pushes but it was always fun to watch their character stuff on TV and Dan housing fills that void in a sense I will say I was not a fan of how they debuted him in the sense of it was a very long ramp again and for a crap for those dancers 153 00:18:00,700 --> 00:18:25,260 and him to have to make that really really long track down the ramp to then get the ring it felt awkward at times if it was maybe if they had debuted him on the raw after chamber and it's a shorter trip maybe the crowd gives a side of for them more but the way the stage is set up now when they do the reveal it's really hard to kind of see if you're back in the back somewhere you have to look at the time you know the overhead 154 00:18:25,260 --> 00:18:43,220 tron to kind of get a feel for so I just felt like maybe that the presentation wasn't as well done as maybe it could have been but I'm just happy to see him because like I'm with you like AEW like when he debuted it was lightning in a bottle and then they just 155 00:18:43,220 --> 00:18:54,420 through the bottle back in the ocean like I remember the last match but like before that's the last thing I remember seeing almost like it was a ring of honor TV title match or something with Shane Taylor or some like 156 00:18:54,420 --> 00:19:10,260 out of nowhere is like always back and then one match and then gone again I just really hate it hated how they use them and sometimes people like Dan housing companies don't really know how to use in the proper way because they're unlike anybody else we saw that 157 00:19:10,260 --> 00:19:23,020 you know years ago with the fiend like how do you book this guy we saw it you know in the early days of the undertaker like how do you book somebody who is kind of oddly super natural in a sense so 158 00:19:23,020 --> 00:19:40,740 you know even you know demon the demon of Finn Balor staying with the crew gimmick those characters are kind of hard to book because they're they're so out of the ordinary you want to make those uses memorable but the same time still fit into the realm of what professional wrestling is. 159 00:19:40,740 --> 00:20:10,700 I'm rooting for him I think this is a life changing situation for him and I hope a lot of wrestling fans do because about three four years ago I mean the same people that are probably booing him in Chicago or the ones that were losing their mind when he popped up in a W just bizarre how fickle wrestling fans can be but I am not Daniel Brian and I'm not going to point that out anymore with that said let's get to the main event match here Dr. Trey was the mental elimination chamber match as Randy Orton defeats LA night Cody Rhodes Chavon Evans trick Williams and Logan Paul to win the men's elimination match and earn an undisputed WWE championship match. 160 00:20:10,700 --> 00:20:28,660 At WrestleMania 42 you and I both had Cody Rhodes in this one it felt like the entrances for this match were longer than the match itself the match itself is a lot of fun the finish with Orton getting the victory was a huge and I surprise I'm very intrigued to see where things go now that Cody is facing Drew on Smackdown for the title this Friday tomorrow. 161 00:20:28,660 --> 00:20:46,620 Rollins revealing himself as the mass man was great to see as it looks like he is full steam ahead for WrestleMania 42 who he faces in another story we'll talk about that a little bit I don't think we are done with seeing the atmosphere to WWE championship match at WrestleMania 42 potentially change or expand something else that we will touch upon here very very quickly. 162 00:20:46,620 --> 00:20:52,620 Dr. Trey keep it within the elimination chamber match itself your thoughts as Randy Orton shocks the world and wins the match. 163 00:20:52,620 --> 00:21:21,620 Yeah I thought it was an okay chamber match I think nothing I don't I don't that nothing stood out there's some things that stood out but you know I thought it was okay I guess I'm almost at the point now where I'm like I just want to see something cool and I mean having all these interferences and run ins or the chamber match is like it's I saw Sam Roberts say the same like he's like we need better referees to close the chamber doors when people get eliminated because you know we had said 164 00:21:21,620 --> 00:21:51,580 you know we had Seth do his thing we had Drew McIntyre get involved like the chamber match is supposed to be where people aren't getting involved in the match and we had two big ones so it is gracing Randy Orton get the win it's gracing Randy get a chance at the heavyweight title WrestleMania I am going to curious to see how Friday night Smackdown plays out with Drew and Cody because I don't know but I'm still in the inclination we're going to get a multi-man match at WrestleMania featuring a lot of the guys. 165 00:21:51,580 --> 00:22:08,580 We've talked about over the last few weeks so assuming you're seeing how it all plays out but overall thought was a good chamber match but yeah the only thing I'll probably remember is is the RKO at the end and maybe LA Knights slipping which you played up to which props to him. 166 00:22:08,580 --> 00:22:28,580 All right paperview prediction record for elimination where I'm with 31 Dr. I went to and to on five and three in the year Dr. Trey is four and four match of the night in event rating I gave a elimination for a solid 4.0 out of five and my match the night I absolutely loved it CM Punk versus Finn Balor Dr. Trey what say you. 167 00:22:28,580 --> 00:22:48,580 Yeah I was going to be a little bit lower I was a 3.8 out of LMS scale and I also had CM Punk and Finn Balor. So there you go feel free to chime in over at our Patreon page patreon.com/srtupodcast comment below on the download let us know your match the night and event rating from elimination chamber. 168 00:22:48,580 --> 00:23:16,580 All right Dr. Trey now it's time to get into this week's edition of the WrestleMania 42 card roundup we have two official matches that are now added we'll get to those two in just a second but let's talk about one of the matches that was already official it was punk and reigns for the other way championship again I thought they had a really strong promo back and forth to close out raw this past Monday I like how personal they're getting I like how much of the low blows they're going to. 169 00:23:16,580 --> 00:23:44,580 You would have to figure with CM Punk talking about Roman Ranges quote you know being very next to your dead father and quote that range is going to hit harder verbally the next time these two meet in the ring and I'm digging the verbal battles I hope they continue forward with this trend because I think if they continue if they just make it verbal the entire time for the build up towards WrestleMania 42 that it will mean more when those two actually fight one on one. 170 00:23:44,580 --> 00:23:53,580 In the ring I don't want anything physical right now keep it all verbal so my expectation is the next time reigns is on raw which I'm not sure if it's this Monday or the following what have you. 171 00:23:53,580 --> 00:24:01,580 That he barks back at CM Punk any thoughts or takeaways from the promo battle between punk and reigns this past Monday. 172 00:24:01,580 --> 00:24:21,580 It just reminds me I think I said if you would see like Cody Rhodes said with all the stuff with like WWE unreal and you know K-Fade kind of being dead sometimes you got to work the work and that's where I feel I feel like we're in a point in wrestling and mjf's. 173 00:24:21,580 --> 00:24:41,580 Great of this too is in Christian was as a heal as well like blurring that line saying the thing that you probably wouldn't say you know normally in everyday life and so blurring that line between do these guys really hate each other are we pushing that envelope a little too far like where is the line I think those you know you're. 174 00:24:41,580 --> 00:25:07,580 Talking about a wrestle mania main event that is an okay land of playing because we want that animal we want to feel like these guys do genuinely each other so we can suspend our disbelief about what the wrestling is really going on yeah and speaking that doctor trade is kind of transitions really well over to the jade car girl versus rear Ripley match for the W women's championship that is now official for WrestleMania 42. 175 00:25:07,580 --> 00:25:25,580 The recent social media back and forth between jade car girl and rear Ripley appears to have started as playful online banner banter but reportedly reflected some real opinions behind the scenes while some fans assume the exchange was a fully planned storyline it doesn't appear to have been something that was officially orchestrated by WWE. 176 00:25:25,580 --> 00:25:49,580 So our suggested the interaction may have begun as a bit of a work but it mirrored a sentiment that exists among some people in the locker room at some point the tone of the exchange reportedly shifted with some believe in jade's responses escalated things beyond the original playful nature the situation highlights how in modern wrestling social media interactions can blur the line between storyline and real life opinions making it difficult for fans to tell what's a work and what genuine. 177 00:25:49,580 --> 00:26:17,580 The line that is being the most pointed out here is a jade car girl saying that rear goes and talks to create a lot and then you had a bunch of women in the locker room that have come out and joined in on the conversation everything is pointed this is being orchestrated by by creative to do this that this is not like the women's division getting out of control and all hate on jade car girl while it does feel like that there are some undertones of real strong dislike the reports out there this week that they. 178 00:26:17,580 --> 00:26:46,580 There appears to not be a happy family behind the scenes in the women's division when it comes to jade car girl that there are some real opinions of her that are being showcased via social media doctor try this is again blurring the lines of what's real and what's not real which is good and it's bad because I think when fans think it's gone past the point of it being like a nice build up like what rains and it's not like that. 179 00:26:46,580 --> 00:26:59,580 It's not like what rains and punk has been. Then it gets a little too uncomfortable where you're like I don't know about this where do you stand on the whole jade car girl rear ripley social media back and forth that has taken place this past week. 180 00:26:59,580 --> 00:27:10,580 Yeah, I think it was kind of start off just like playing back and you know going back and forth is somebody kind of cross line it really kind of rising if you go back a year ago Jim Tiffany and Charlotte. 181 00:27:10,580 --> 00:27:32,580 Why is your boyfriend hitting on me and that like all that stuff like it kind of is like well if I work last year probably work this year so I do think they tried to dip their toe in that water and somebody realize that it's our swimming instead and they just went a little too far and then create gets involved and like hey. 182 00:27:32,580 --> 00:27:44,580 James the heel re is the baby face so if any of the baby faces can jump in and kind of back real up it'll look still like a storyline so I do think it like I saw people saying like all these two H.I. 183 00:27:44,580 --> 00:27:52,580 Like they're they've never really been on the same show I don't think I don't know how many interactions they've really had over the three years J.I. 184 00:27:52,580 --> 00:28:07,580 been here now I don't buy into that I just do believe it's a little bit of like hyperbole where there are different camps in the women's locker room where some people are on pro jade some people proria I think there's always going to be that 185 00:28:07,580 --> 00:28:10,580 little bit of tension when you have a locker room like that. 186 00:28:10,580 --> 00:28:20,580 Yeah, it's it's a really odd and strange situation and now there's some stuff that's coming out where there was like a recent interview with Chelsea green and I think it was Denise. 187 00:28:20,580 --> 00:28:28,580 Salaco I don't I know she's big in the wrestling well I don't follow her work but when I do she does a great job. 188 00:28:28,580 --> 00:28:38,580 I guess they think they did word association with with Chelsea green and they and this was before all this stuff came out and they asked her like jade car girl she said bitch. 189 00:28:38,580 --> 00:28:49,580 And you can just tell that there was some there was some oomph behind that and then she correct herself it said that bitch so I don't know I don't know what's real I've never heard of I mean I guess we've heard of back stage issues with J.I. 190 00:28:49,580 --> 00:29:06,580 J is a star she knows it she's got an ego she's got an arrogance about her we've seen this play out of professional wrestling all the time and sometimes that's really really good for professional wrestling because not everything needs to be come by on sometimes it's really bad because then you get situations like this so. 191 00:29:06,580 --> 00:29:21,580 You brought the tiffety straten and charlatte flare stuff which is now played out on real from year ago it does feel the same way and that's kind of for me nowadays when these things happen it's it's not like oh man this is this is interesting it's like are they doing this shit for unreal. 192 00:29:21,580 --> 00:29:50,580 Because you just never really known again create I don't think it's a big I mean for them to mention creative I mean they're doing a show pulling the curtain back on creative like what's the big deal if she says in a tweet like you go talk to creative like we've we've removed everything now we're showing how how the everything is cooked in the kitchen so I don't find that to be a big deal but jade and rea on the early onset here right I think a week ago we told us if you told us this match was happening was like okay great seems like a wrap up. 193 00:29:50,580 --> 00:30:04,580 Seems like a wrap so many match but why here we are less than a week later and they haven't even had a pro model on on smackdown it's like oh man this is this could have some likes to it off after all so there's some up behind it as we head into. 194 00:30:04,580 --> 00:30:18,580 Smackdown on Friday night and speaking of Smackdown Friday night doctor try we have drew Macatar versus rain you weren't from the industry to do we championship wrestling forty two but before that drew defense the title tomorrow night to Cody Rhodes aka the coaster. 195 00:30:18,580 --> 00:30:40,580 Cody media Cody mania because body slam net is reporting that discussion began regarding Randy or versus Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 42 around the beginning of February to shake things up for the WrestleMania season and give a pay off to the teases over the last few years as someone we've talked about here several times on the show always felt like Randy or Cody Rhodes is going to be a WrestleMania match. 196 00:30:40,580 --> 00:31:02,580 Rhodes and Macatar did officially find out about the change until last week the current plan looks to be drew Macatar versus Jake Fattu WrestleMania Macatar is set to begin filming for Highlander immediately after WrestleMania Cody Rhodes was added reportedly to the rumble and elimination chamber matches to help with ticket sales and get interest in those matches that's why he dropped the title. 197 00:31:02,580 --> 00:31:23,580 I think there was a universal grown doctor try if this is the direction that we see on Friday night Smackdown I know that WWE isn't looking to shape Cody Rhodes as the next John Cena from like 2005 to 2010 when he had received similar reactions but this is this is screaming the coaster this is screaming Cody Cena. 198 00:31:23,580 --> 00:31:52,580 This is something we've seen play out in the playbook of WWE and I've never been a big fan of these changes like this the most recent change that we saw was when they took the title off of Drew in February 2021 and then put it on Miz and then Bobby Lashley faced Miz like two weeks later on raw one the title was Bobby Lashley and Drew I think that was one of the worst WrestleMania builds for a title match I've ever seen and sometime as well. 199 00:31:52,580 --> 00:32:21,580 Here we are doctor try so there's a potential there's a chance that you and I sit here next week Cody Rhodes is the new undisputed WWE champion he is facing Randy Orton and WrestleMania and Drew McIntyre's path to WrestleMania is against Jake Fattu we wondered how we would get to multi on man matches it felt like multi man matches we were thinking fatal four way maybe from fatal five ways with Sammy Jacob Drew Cody and Randy Orton now we may be getting just Cody and Randy Drew and Jacob and there's rumors out there of Sammy's ain't taking it. 200 00:32:21,580 --> 00:32:31,580 You're thoughts here on how this all may play out with the industry to WWE championship is we're just what six seven weeks away from WrestleMania 42. 201 00:32:31,580 --> 00:32:50,580 Yeah I mean I don't know I don't know like Cody and Randy one on one would be great with something you and I have talked about for about two years like that's kind of one of those dreams used but then it's like you know Jacob and Drew one on one and Sammy and trick one on one is kind of like that's three match. 202 00:32:50,580 --> 00:33:14,580 That's three matches we can really get the same thing he's just had one match if they're all six guys into the mix you know and then if trick came out on top and shocked the world it's a multi man match and that's kind of how we do those things like I don't know if I like the direction of three singles matches because then I just kind of like the cards overloaded a little more. 203 00:33:14,580 --> 00:33:43,580 I'm not a huge fan of this direction and even if because to me Jacob and Cody is still the more fun match to see because we really haven't seen it we keep getting interferences when they go that route and I kind of want to Jacob in the main event world title picture and not maybe a secondary match against a former champion I got to me if you're trying to build new stars and new challengers for 2026 post WrestleMania throw trick and Jacob in the match. 204 00:33:43,580 --> 00:33:47,580 What are you working Jacob in the match with the other guys and just has your faults. 205 00:33:47,580 --> 00:33:56,580 Yeah I would love to see a fail five y at this point I'd love to see Cody Randy Drew. 206 00:33:56,580 --> 00:34:02,580 Sammy and Jacob in the match I don't want to see single matches I don't want to see like each having singles match. 207 00:34:02,580 --> 00:34:15,580 And WrestleMania that felt like there was a direction that people could get behind and now it may be entirely different thing it's it's odd that they want to take the title off of Drew because he's filming a movie after WrestleMania. 208 00:34:15,580 --> 00:34:31,580 So why not do Drew Cody Randy triple threat match or even have just drew drop the title to Randy and then have Randy Cody at backlash to me it's feeling like if I'm doing long term booking I feel like a backlash match. 209 00:34:31,580 --> 00:35:00,580 With Cody Rhodes taking on like Randy or Jacob but to in Sami Zayn is on the table or even Cody Rhodes taking on Sammy Cody Rhodes taking on Jacob the honest view to WWE championship title picture since early January for WrestleMania 42 Dr. Trey has been very cloudy and sometimes that's a really good thing but as we're starting to peak through the clouds I think there's a ton of confusion and maybe some like grown a little bit I mean this is a completely different direction than we did not predict which is great for professional wrestling. 210 00:35:00,580 --> 00:35:24,580 But I don't know if it's something that I want to see as a viewer if this was the direction they were going to do then just keep the title on Cody and have Randy or versus Cody be the bill towards WrestleMania the way that they've gone about it it was like just to get Cody in those matches we did this like we didn't need this like there's plenty of other star power but but but here we are Dr. Trey. 211 00:35:24,580 --> 00:35:44,580 Yeah it just it does feel like they kind of went all the way around to get to this and it's like well why did you do that like it to me it kind of devalues Jacob interviewing in three stages of hell I kind of devalues drew taking out Cody the rumble you know and then again in the chamber kind of values all this kind of values 212 00:35:44,580 --> 00:36:01,580 who took out Jacob months ago we haven't got that reveal yet like it kind of devalues on the surface if we do three singles matches it kind of devalues all the storyline intricacies they've been setting up for months so I still like I'm not 100% 213 00:36:01,580 --> 00:36:08,580 so we're getting three singles matches I still think this will end up being some kind of multi-layer multi-man match at WrestleMania. 214 00:36:08,580 --> 00:36:23,580 Yeah that would be a direction that would be fine with at this point I felt like that's what they were leading towards was a multi-man match so we'll see how everything plays out on Fridays addition of Smackdown and if we have a new WWE champion by the time Dr. Trey and I meet for next week's edition of the show. 215 00:36:23,580 --> 00:36:32,580 Some rumored what we are thinking I'll add the irresistible forces the new women's tag team champions Nia Jax and Lash Legend. 216 00:36:32,580 --> 00:37:01,580 Taking on the BellatWinds Lash pins Rhea on Smackdown to win the tag gold the night before re-insubwending elimination chamber it feels like Braun Breaker or Logan Paul versus Seth Rollins is on the docket I'm feeling more optimistic that Braun Breaker versus Seth will happen based on some of the stuff with Logan Paul because it seems like the Usos versus Logan Paul in Austin theory for the World Tag Team Championship could be taking place at WrestleMania 42 as well as we figure out who took out J. Usos on Smackdown last four matches. 217 00:37:01,580 --> 00:37:20,580 AJ Lee versus Becky Lynch for the Nekonel Championship I'll put back up there. Penta our new men's Nekonel Champion taking on Dom Mysterio and Finn Balor in a triple threat match I'm going to add and then there's some rumors out there Dr. Trey that I just pointed to before outside of Jacob Fleto and Drew McAttire should Drew McAttire drop the title. 218 00:37:20,580 --> 00:37:30,580 There's also discussions about trick Williams taking on Sam Mizzane any thoughts on some of the matches of the rumored what we are thinking and any you'd like to add as well. 219 00:37:30,580 --> 00:37:39,580 I'm in the tag match Usos LA night I'm just going to tag match between Usos Logan Paul's and there you make sense. 220 00:37:39,580 --> 00:37:47,580 The Brock Lesnar open challenge with what happened with Paul Hamon on Monday night because the possibility actually be Seth and Brock. 221 00:37:47,580 --> 00:37:50,580 Oh, Braun Breaker is not going to be ready. 222 00:37:50,580 --> 00:37:53,580 I'm getting flashbacks to WrestleMania 35 down to Trey. 223 00:37:53,580 --> 00:37:59,580 I mean just throwing it out there I mean because I hear you I do hear you. 224 00:37:59,580 --> 00:38:07,580 Because otherwise I mean LA night Brock Lesnar is that really I mean I don't know which one in my head sounds like. 225 00:38:07,580 --> 00:38:09,580 Oh, yeah. 226 00:38:09,580 --> 00:38:15,580 Oh, we still have to here's something we still got to figure out what they're going to do the Gunther you cannot have Gunther on the show. 227 00:38:15,580 --> 00:38:23,580 We're doing Gunther and Ray like this Ray come to Dragon Lee's aid because they keep bringing up that Ray Mysterio always said, 228 00:38:23,580 --> 00:38:32,580 you'd be the next big luchistar and then we have Gunther retiree Ray at WrestleMania like I just still trying to figure all that stuff out. 229 00:38:32,580 --> 00:38:39,580 And then you know even with the women's tag belts, you know like I mentioned earlier you can still throw Charlotte and Alexa the mix. 230 00:38:39,580 --> 00:38:42,580 You still got the storyline with the Kabuki warriors. 231 00:38:42,580 --> 00:38:49,580 You know where does Bailey and Lyra fall into the mix and I got from it. 232 00:38:49,580 --> 00:38:53,580 I really hope we don't do Natty and Maxine at WrestleMania. 233 00:38:53,580 --> 00:38:57,580 I love the new Natty character and I do know I love the new Natty character. 234 00:38:57,580 --> 00:39:00,580 I just don't want to see that match at rest. 235 00:39:00,580 --> 00:39:04,580 Maybe SmackDown or Monday Night Raw before maybe but just not at Natty. 236 00:39:04,580 --> 00:39:08,580 And I got him and I've been very happy with Maxine to pre and see her come around there. 237 00:39:08,580 --> 00:39:11,580 But I can understand why people would would potentially grown about that one. 238 00:39:11,580 --> 00:39:12,580 I like the additions there. 239 00:39:12,580 --> 00:39:16,580 If some of the matches you made Ray versus Gunther is one that I did on the radar. 240 00:39:16,580 --> 00:39:23,580 That looks pretty interesting. I do think that there's a chance for a multi woman match for the women's tag team championship as well. 241 00:39:23,580 --> 00:39:27,580 So feel free to chime in. That is our WrestleMania 42 card roundup. 242 00:39:27,580 --> 00:39:30,580 And we've talked about Stephanie McMahon. 243 00:39:30,580 --> 00:39:34,580 We've talked about AJ Styles joining the class of 2026 WWE Hall of Fame, Dr. Trey. 244 00:39:34,580 --> 00:39:40,580 And now we have a tag team that has is long overdue for WWE Hall of Fame induction. 245 00:39:40,580 --> 00:39:46,580 And that is Demolition, Axe and Smash. They were a little bit before my time, Dr. Trey. 246 00:39:46,580 --> 00:39:50,580 I had to watch them after the fact enjoyed their work. 247 00:39:50,580 --> 00:39:53,580 They were the longest reigning tag team championships until the New Day surpass that. 248 00:39:53,580 --> 00:39:57,580 And then I think the Usos surpass that. Even more. 249 00:39:57,580 --> 00:40:00,580 Dr. Trey, your thoughts as Axe and Smash. 250 00:40:00,580 --> 00:40:05,580 Barry Darsow, Bill Eady are now making their way into the WWE Hall of Fame. 251 00:40:05,580 --> 00:40:15,580 I'm just glad to see WWE in Demolition made a man because they've been kind of for lack of return blacklisted for years in WWE. 252 00:40:15,580 --> 00:40:21,580 Like we don't they don't talk about them in the same regard. They talk about other great tag teams. 253 00:40:21,580 --> 00:40:25,580 Like they still talk about the Bulldogs. They talk about the heart foundation. 254 00:40:25,580 --> 00:40:34,580 You know, I am a little disappointed. I know about it. I know it's a little bit more time. I do kind of wish they were throwing crush into the mix as well. Brian Amps passed away. 255 00:40:34,580 --> 00:40:38,580 Got 18 years ago. Now I think he passed on. 256 00:40:38,580 --> 00:40:44,580 Yeah. Because that was always the thing. It was always Axe, Smash. Then it became Axe, Smash, Crush. 257 00:40:44,580 --> 00:40:50,580 I remember when they first debuted. Almost all my friends were like, oh, they're road-wired knockoffs. 258 00:40:50,580 --> 00:41:00,580 It kind of took a while for people to kind of like put them off on their own and treat them as a separate entity from the road-wires. 259 00:41:00,580 --> 00:41:05,580 And then also they're on time. You also have the powers of pain, you know, Warlord and Barbarian. 260 00:41:05,580 --> 00:41:12,580 But they were one of the quintessential tag teams of the late 80s into the 90s. 261 00:41:12,580 --> 00:41:20,580 And I remember playing WrestleFest on the arcade. And that was the goal was to get that tag team title match against the road-wires. 262 00:41:20,580 --> 00:41:24,580 But demolition was, you know, a big part of that game as well. 263 00:41:24,580 --> 00:41:33,580 And I remember we finally got LOD and demolition in a match. People were kind of losing their minds that it actually came to fruition. 264 00:41:33,580 --> 00:41:46,580 It's long overdue. They're one of the better tag teams that, you know, in my lifetime I've seen. And to overcome the tight cast of being an LOD knockoff to achieve the success they did. 265 00:41:46,580 --> 00:41:56,580 Let me ask you a question to Jeff, because you are a longtime WWE fan. Are you more surprised Barry Darsow gets in first for demolition before repo man? 266 00:41:56,580 --> 00:42:08,580 Yeah, you know, repo man was he was still around. He did the rest of any 17 gimmick battle royale. I was also surprised. What was the golf character he played in WCW? 267 00:42:08,580 --> 00:42:14,580 Was it like road sign or something like that as well in WCW? 268 00:42:14,580 --> 00:42:25,580 So Darsow was the king of like just weird crazy gimmicks. Like it didn't matter. Like I don't know if I don't I think he only got to wrestle as Barry Darsow. 269 00:42:25,580 --> 00:42:31,580 Like at the end of his career in WCW. Like during the Monday night wars we was closing stuff out. 270 00:42:31,580 --> 00:42:40,580 Everything else was some kind of character or gimmick or just the weirdest job a wrestler could have. 271 00:42:40,580 --> 00:42:48,580 But yeah, like it is in you know the relationship between Darso and WWE was always good. You know even closer to time and this is just. 272 00:42:48,580 --> 00:42:58,580 Bill Edy in WWE had a falling out and that's why demolition never got in as a tandem until now until those roads were mended. 273 00:42:58,580 --> 00:43:08,580 Darsow was the black top believe WCW Mr. hole in one Barry Darso repo man smash yeah there's a bunch of them. 274 00:43:08,580 --> 00:43:14,580 Bill Edy the famous story about him is his last night in WWE. He didn't like slick his hair back. He would basically look like FU. 275 00:43:14,580 --> 00:43:23,580 So there's a match out there of demolition for last time he appeared on WWE television where his hair is completely out of whack and he just didn't care. 276 00:43:23,580 --> 00:43:34,580 That's that's why they brought crush in right. Yeah and that's and that's why I got and can I forget which one was actually which was smashed acts was. 277 00:43:34,580 --> 00:43:40,580 Was he was also yep. Yeah smash. So then it was smashing crush. 278 00:43:40,580 --> 00:43:44,580 You know after ED left the company and they never. 279 00:43:44,580 --> 00:43:52,580 Crush came in there were all three of them for a while but then when ED left they just went smash and crush it and never just kind of recaptured. 280 00:43:52,580 --> 00:43:57,580 You know what every with everything else so it is kind of like. 281 00:43:57,580 --> 00:44:00,580 Disappointing to not get all of them in there. 282 00:44:00,580 --> 00:44:14,580 But you know that's how WWE rolls so I just thought it was a big day for dominatrix overall to finally make make their way into the WWE Hall of Fame so congratulations to demolition all jokes aside way long over doing I cannot wait to hear their thing music play. 283 00:44:14,580 --> 00:44:28,580 So by the way every every time you say now you said that every time I when I first saw the movie dodgeball if you remember that there's that scene in dodgeball where they got the wrong jersey ship to them and they all came out wearing like dominatrix gear. 284 00:44:28,580 --> 00:44:34,580 It's just like because I remember the first time I might my dad saw me watching WWE in demolition came out he's like. 285 00:44:34,580 --> 00:44:41,580 What the hell are those guys wearing like he was just he thought I was watching the wrong VHS thing. 286 00:44:41,580 --> 00:45:00,580 Yeah I mean that's fair I mean that's one of those gimmicks that if someone who doesn't know about professional wrestling walks in and sees what you're watching they can completely change in who they think you are in real life so nonetheless all jokes aside way long overdue congrats to demolition access match joining the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2026. 287 00:45:00,580 --> 00:45:28,580 Karen things over to AEW Dr. Trey AW main land on Paramount plus CMBC reported that Paramount CEO David Elson said that Paramount plus an HBO Max will be combined into one streaming service if regulators approve Paramount Sky Dance acquisition more to the brothers discovery we didn't cover it on the show but Netflix recently pulled out so there won't be any WWE AW marriage there Paramount plus HBO Max may merge hey I'm down with it I paramount plus I'm fine with that. 288 00:45:28,580 --> 00:45:57,580 So there is still kind of a weird marriage because Paramount plus got the UFC which is TKO all this so there is still kind of a weird in law marriage in lots I think I guess but like I it's it's good for AEW because we're kind of staying in house in brand Paramount always had kind of a partnership with Warner Brothers in a lot of way so for Paramount the kind of step in take over everything they're already doing UFC. 289 00:45:57,580 --> 00:46:20,580 Broadcasting so adding in taking over the HBO Max brand and adding in AEW to it is good and I think you'll get more views on the AEW because Paramount plus is also the home to like Tulsa King and a few others and what's the other what's the other yellow stone that's the other show that all those shows that like my parents love. 290 00:46:20,580 --> 00:46:28,580 Yes all those shows are on Paramount plus a lot of the older generation has Paramount plus now so it means more eyes in the product yeah. 291 00:46:28,580 --> 00:46:42,580 Other news David Finley land in a W. H. debut last night on dynamite a fight full select report that David Finley's AW deal came together last week body slam net reported David Finley was offered a deal to begin an NXT and they wanted 292 00:46:42,580 --> 00:46:54,580 to be on their offer as a result Finley ended up picking a W. If you remember the reports that Dr. Trey and I talked about last month that it looked like David Finley was going to be going to WWE which was a great get for them now he's in a W. 293 00:46:54,580 --> 00:47:03,580 The dogs Gabe kid car car cloners and David Finley are officially all elite another new Japan group just completely in up by a W. 294 00:47:03,580 --> 00:47:16,580 Dr. Trey thought on David Finley landing in all the wrestling. 295 00:47:16,580 --> 00:47:26,580 He's been working with Clark Conner's and Gabe kid for a while in New Japan so it makes sense on that level he'll probably be featured pretty strongly for a little bit. 296 00:47:26,580 --> 00:47:38,580 The question with AW has always been what do they do with people after that shine wears off like that six month mark in the shiny new toy syndrome kind of falls away. 297 00:47:38,580 --> 00:48:07,580 Will we actually see him actually be in ring after a while so I think it's good for him continuity wise because he knows the guys he's working with just not sure about the long term payoff for him going to a W because he obviously is much of a great prospect as he is he's just not a name yet so it's kind of he's going to shock the system so to speak to kind of get that notoriety up there to where you can get into upper main event level type stuff. 298 00:48:07,580 --> 00:48:14,580 Highly talented David Finley as he is now part of all elite wrestling and the dogs are all in a W. 299 00:48:14,580 --> 00:48:32,580 Now as well and then lastly Dr. Trey last night we had a big title change as the Don Cales family because it's go caught a Mark Davis and Kyle Fletcher reuniting both Aussie open and Proto caught a together they are the new AW trios champions defeating jet set rodeo once the match was an out of Dr. 300 00:48:32,580 --> 00:48:47,580 Trey just felt like there was going to be a title change while jets at rodeo seemed to be fun it never really took off as well as I thought it could we have new trios champions and it makes a ton of sense for the Don Cales family to be holding them. 301 00:48:47,580 --> 00:49:01,580 Yeah fantastic match to I really enjoyed the match I love MJF getting involved because once again it highlights that big title match coming up during him and hangman it makes sense like as you were talking all I could think was like what do you call the three 302 00:49:01,580 --> 00:49:06,580 of them like is it Aussie caught a Proto caught open. 303 00:49:06,580 --> 00:49:10,580 Proto Aussie Proto caught a. 304 00:49:10,580 --> 00:49:20,580 Yes it's a lot of words it sounds like it's a hair product now so I try to put on I was like I was happy to see Fletcher and Davis back together but I was hoping it would be to 305 00:49:20,580 --> 00:49:42,580 to Keshda getting the third spot just because the the weird love triangle between Okata Fletcher and to Keshda I was kind of open for that because now you got double champs in Okata and Fletcher and then at some point like who do you move in to take the belts off of them at some point isn't it being 306 00:49:42,580 --> 00:50:11,580 you know the death riders do we need to get that death writers cows you know the trios titles so it's going to be interesting to see where they go with it absolutely so new trios champions in a w and then on next week show we will love preview and predict a w revolution that we take place that Saturday is it Saturday or two weeks I think it's two weeks I don't know all my dates are next up I actually think it's next Saturday if I quickly look at my calendar here with that being said talking 307 00:50:11,580 --> 00:50:24,580 about PLE's that are taking place next week doctor Trey or this weekend is a w vengeance day you wouldn't know it by the way that they're booking it but we do have NXT vengeance day taking place from the 308 00:50:24,580 --> 00:50:37,580 performance center in Orlando Florida there are five matches on the card it looks to be like a regular addition of NXT honestly and by the way yes next weekend is a w revolution 309 00:50:37,580 --> 00:50:47,580 from Los Angeles California so looking to that preview revolution on next week show the card is Joe Henry defending the NXT championship against Ricky Saints is he 310 00:50:47,580 --> 00:51:02,580 named defending the NXT women's North American championship against Tate and Paxley low levyce taking on Colony Jordan in an NXT underground match Blakeman Roe versus Jada Parker in a street fight in Tony D'Angelo versus Dion Lennox this is just like a glorified 311 00:51:02,580 --> 00:51:14,580 episode of NXT Dr. Trey as we have a PLE this weekend for NXT Dr. Trey yeah I mean outside of Henry and starts like everything else I feel like you can see on a regular 312 00:51:14,580 --> 00:51:23,580 episode of NXT I mean they're all good matchups oh great yeah I'm gonna be soft like I would want to but like a the hype's not there for it like really the 313 00:51:23,580 --> 00:51:38,580 thing really has been somewhat hyped is Henry and starts I feel like even that's kind of been a let down considering the promo ability of both these guys but yeah just on paper I'm like this just feels like they took the 314 00:51:38,580 --> 00:51:48,580 next for main events of NXT and put it on one card that's that's just kind of how I feel with yeah so well we'll give a little recap of the show this Saturday on 315 00:51:48,580 --> 00:51:59,580 Peecock NXT Vengeance say which just feels like it's a very special edition of NXT television all the matches are they look fine the build has been very good but again it just doesn't seem like 316 00:51:59,580 --> 00:52:08,580 there's a lot of hype just feels like at least with this special show that there's there's a little something's like off with it and other than I find NXT be to be very 317 00:52:08,580 --> 00:52:15,580 enjoyable just just feels very off like the build for this kind of came together essentially for the most part on this 318 00:52:15,580 --> 00:52:25,580 last week's edition of NXT Dr. Trey as I was sitting here and as we get ready to wrap up the show there's some a little bit of breaking news here from 319 00:52:25,580 --> 00:52:33,580 body slam net and wrestle votes radio on fight full select so starting with wrestle votes they were reporting there's an 320 00:52:33,580 --> 00:52:41,580 idea within WWE creative that could see at least six women's matches across the two nights of WrestleMania at least five of those being pretty firmly planned 321 00:52:41,580 --> 00:52:48,580 and then body slam net is reporting sources indicated that WrestleMania 42 will feature at least 14 matches over the two nights 322 00:52:48,580 --> 00:52:56,580 another source indicated that the card could have a solid 16 matches this year with the earlier star time that was announced recently so you got to figure 323 00:52:56,580 --> 00:53:04,580 up probably seven and seven or eight and eight any thoughts are on those fairly breaking during our show news stories that are out there right now 324 00:53:04,580 --> 00:53:11,580 well I mean if you look at go okay so two women's title matches inner kind of title match and attacking time match that's four right there 325 00:53:11,580 --> 00:53:19,580 so that's that's not too surprising it just kind of feels like whether you fit the other ones into we get a you you know the women's 326 00:53:19,580 --> 00:53:26,580 US title beyond the car because that would be five and then if you do Matty or Natty and Maxine that be six right there 327 00:53:26,580 --> 00:53:37,580 so it's not out of the realm of possibility I do feel like maybe someone's gotten into which is heading to the hey sometimes four matches isn't enough for a pay 328 00:53:37,580 --> 00:53:42,580 review for people to buy in people do like we love wrestling but we also want value like give me a little bit more 329 00:53:42,580 --> 00:53:50,580 sometimes for what we're paying you what we're doing but yeah six women's matches and really if you look at the 330 00:53:50,580 --> 00:53:57,580 depth of the roster almost everybody University says the women's divisions better than the men's and attack division right now so it's not a 331 00:53:57,580 --> 00:54:08,580 crazy number to really throw out there no no not at all so rest of many was announced started six PM east both Saturday and Sunday 332 00:54:08,580 --> 00:54:15,580 for that we can not train the first hour will be airing both nights I think on the first on Saturday will air on ESPN 333 00:54:15,580 --> 00:54:25,580 to and then on Sunday the first hour airs on ESPN so that's pretty big but a live portion of WrestleMania is going to be airing on ESPN 334 00:54:25,580 --> 00:54:34,580 both the ESPN and ESPN to this year so we are full steam ahead here doctor I think there's about six or seven weeks to go now heading into 335 00:54:34,580 --> 00:54:41,580 WrestleMania six and seven weeks that's not that stupid thing that the kids were talking about six seven earlier late last 336 00:54:41,580 --> 00:54:50,580 year of the doctor and I don't understand but yeah it is closer and closer and we have nothing in the way now on the WWE 337 00:54:50,580 --> 00:54:58,580 main roster side when it comes to the bill for WrestleMania 42 so we will see what changes take place we will get you ready for 338 00:54:58,580 --> 00:55:05,580 a WRVLUTION will recap NXT Ventures Day on next week's edition of the show but until then doctor trailer to get a 339 00:55:05,580 --> 00:55:13,580
