- 0:20Speaker 1: Can we go what's going on? Everybody? I'm the one,
- 0:22Speaker 1: the only, the w oh okay, I eat? You just
- 0:25Speaker 1: ruined my intro. God some day it's cool. No, I
- 0:31Speaker 1: don't want to do it backwards. All right, I can't
- 0:34Speaker 1: do it backwards. I do not have that sort of
- 0:37Speaker 1: anything today. But what's going on? Fuckers? The one, the only,
- 0:41Speaker 1: the w o ok I e giint here by that
- 0:46Speaker 1: weird kid in your calculus class, dexter. Hello everybody, and
- 0:52Speaker 1: that kid who's still better than you call Robbie.
- 0:58Speaker 2: See that intro was even or so it was a
- 1:00Speaker 2: good thing, I interrupted you.
- 1:02Speaker 1: I don't know what that means, but okay, we'll go
- 1:05Speaker 1: with We'll go with yes.
- 1:08Speaker 3: It just was better.
- 1:10Speaker 2: So you're welcome.
- 1:12Speaker 1: You know, you're welcome all you out there and radio land,
- 1:15Speaker 1: you're welcome.
- 1:18Speaker 3: But on AM or FM radio I don't know, probably
- 1:24Speaker 3: FM well like okay, so like f D which well
- 1:29Speaker 3: FM radio Jesus Christ, do you even know?
- 1:32Speaker 1: Do you know what a radio is?
- 1:35Speaker 4: I know what a radio is. I have listened to
- 1:37Speaker 4: both AM and FM radio in the past, but I
- 1:40Speaker 4: don't really you know which one is used for which.
- 1:43Speaker 4: I just know that they're different.
- 1:44Speaker 1: For you so like typically AM is like talk radio, right,
- 1:48Speaker 1: like you'll find your mprs and your sports shows and
- 1:52Speaker 1: stuff like that would be on AM radio. FM radio
- 1:56Speaker 1: normally plays music, okay, except in the morning. They have
- 2:00Speaker 1: morning shows typically, so they have like people in the
- 2:06Speaker 1: morning that will like talk and shit, like my favorite in.
- 2:11Speaker 4: My area, those morning people talking about shit.
- 2:14Speaker 1: We could be the morning people talking about I mean,
- 2:16Speaker 1: we are shock jockeysh right, at least I am. I
- 2:19Speaker 1: have been called the shock Jack of key Forde a
- 2:21Speaker 1: little bit. No, there's no little bit. Literally one of
- 2:24Speaker 1: the one of the people that have told me I'm
- 2:26Speaker 1: the shock Jack of key ford I just I accept
- 2:29Speaker 1: at that point. Actually, the their words were, you are
- 2:33Speaker 1: the Howard Stern of KeyForge And I'm like, yeah, you
- 2:37Speaker 1: know what, I'll tell you. I'm gonna take that as
- 2:38Speaker 1: a compliment, right that guys make like rolling in money.
- 2:42Speaker 1: I think, I don't know, he's on America's got talent, right,
- 2:46Speaker 1: like Howard's doing it. Stern seems to be doing okay
- 2:49Speaker 1: for himself, So you know what, I'm going to take
- 2:51Speaker 1: it as a compliment. But we'd probably be on on
- 2:56Speaker 1: AM radio since we're more of the talk show type deal, right.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Can we take over for Coast to coast whenever that guy.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Space space ghost Coast to Coast?
- 3:10Speaker 2: Uh short, not the one I meant, but sure.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Well, because there's a few coast to coasters that one
- 3:15Speaker 1: coast to coast dude who does like the paranormal stuff? Right,
- 3:20Speaker 1: he's a coast to coast. And then there was who
- 3:22Speaker 1: is it Casey Caseum? Hi? I'm Casey Caseum number four
- 3:29Speaker 1: on our tracks this week. I don't know what's in?
- 3:33Speaker 1: What's a song that's out right? Now? Come on deck show?
- 3:38Speaker 1: This is you, this is where you shine? Yeah, what's
- 3:39Speaker 1: a new song?
- 3:40Speaker 4: I don't keep track of new songs.
- 3:42Speaker 1: You don't keep track of ship.
- 3:43Speaker 2: You don't keep to imagine dragon.
- 3:45Speaker 1: You don't keep track of new stuff. You don't keep
- 3:47Speaker 1: track of old stuff. What do you keep track of?
- 3:50Speaker 4: Nope? Nothing, I say.
- 3:54Speaker 2: We play I Am a Rifle by Propagandhi And that
- 3:58Speaker 2: is the theme for today?
- 4:01Speaker 1: Is that our theme for today? Well, we got hell
- 4:02Speaker 1: of a show for you today. If you're all listening,
- 4:07Speaker 1: we are doing the question Sowed as it has been dubbed.
- 4:12Speaker 1: I guess we're doing a Q and A episode because
- 4:14Speaker 1: we've run out of things to talk about, and Altered.
- 4:20Speaker 4: Just have a lot of questions?
- 4:22Speaker 1: Are we backed up?
- 4:23Speaker 2: There?
- 4:23Speaker 1: Is that why we're doing it?
- 4:25Speaker 2: You're not to give away the true see?
- 4:28Speaker 1: Oh yeah, every time we just don't have things to
- 4:30Speaker 1: talk about, we just do a am A. That's what
- 4:34Speaker 1: all the good content creators do. And I guess we're
- 4:38Speaker 1: backed up on on questions right now. So this is
- 4:42Speaker 1: where this is where we gotta we gotta catch.
- 4:48Speaker 2: A ton on the last Patreon post, so I was like,
- 4:51Speaker 2: you know what, let's just answer a bunch of questions.
- 4:56Speaker 2: And the secret is yeah, I couldn't think of a
- 5:00Speaker 2: better episode to do.
- 5:01Speaker 1: So it works, Pinball, you know what, we're all being
- 5:04Speaker 1: a little lazy this week. I feel it, right, I
- 5:06Speaker 1: feel I feel it right here. I do because I
- 5:10Speaker 1: was like, man, I don't I don't even know what
- 5:12Speaker 1: do we got going on? Because I was actually poking
- 5:14Speaker 1: around for like Altered stuff, like what are we going
- 5:16Speaker 1: to do this week? There ain't a lot going on, right?
- 5:19Speaker 1: You got you got a couple of big tournaments happening? Right?
- 5:26Speaker 1: What's what's the acronym for this? For this set?
- 5:33Speaker 4: W f AM FM.
- 5:36Speaker 1: With them, I do.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Not say with them, I just said, we're in the
- 5:45Speaker 2: weird period where technically a new set just launched. The
- 5:52Speaker 2: other idea I had to talk about was the meta
- 5:57Speaker 2: of the set now, and then I realized, I'm the
- 6:01Speaker 2: only one that plays altered consistently, so that probably wouldn't
- 6:05Speaker 2: have been as good as an episode.
- 6:07Speaker 1: You're probably the only one playing the meta.
- 6:12Speaker 2: And yeah, I never played meta.
- 6:14Speaker 1: So even worse, I'm sorry. My wife's gone for the
- 6:19Speaker 1: weekend and she left me therese a little delicious mini donuts,
- 6:22Speaker 1: so I'm going to be eating them, just so y'all know.
- 6:25Speaker 1: So if you hear me donuts.
- 6:28Speaker 2: While you're eating that. By Felix's estimation, if we take
- 6:33Speaker 2: five minutes for every question, will be at like an
- 6:37Speaker 2: hour and forty minutes.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Felix is adorable thinking it's only going to be five
- 6:41Speaker 1: minutes per question.
- 6:45Speaker 4: Some of them will be like two minutes, some of
- 6:47Speaker 4: them will be ten.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. So the first question comes from Felix.
- 6:54Speaker 2: What cards were staples to you guys from Beyond the
- 6:58Speaker 2: Gates that are no longer considered staples to you now?
- 7:03Speaker 4: I would say definitely a sneezershroom from Luna. And then
- 7:09Speaker 4: well that hasn't been a staple. Cards that were staples
- 7:16Speaker 4: before this setup came back, and then I would say, Ozma,
- 7:21Speaker 4: what cards ozma in my city trum beyond the Gates
- 7:29Speaker 4: like in this current meta before.
- 7:31Speaker 1: W f m.
- 7:35Speaker 2: M hmm, was in Beyond the Gates. Oh what cards
- 7:39Speaker 2: were staples in Beyond the Gates that.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Are that no longer are now? And wa was a
- 7:44Speaker 1: staple if you wanted to win you were playing war.
- 7:48Speaker 1: I mean for like what eight months a year?
- 7:53Speaker 4: Yeah, probably first my six months.
- 7:57Speaker 2: More than that mine are sneezers. Room is kind of
- 8:01Speaker 2: on the outs, I think, but more so than that,
- 8:05Speaker 2: if we're going back to Beyond the Gates heavy Meta
- 8:10Speaker 2: Hydra Cana and Bountiful meadowy Hydra. No, tiny Gin is back,
- 8:22Speaker 2: tiny Gen out. Tiny Gin is actually increasing in Bravos
- 8:29Speaker 2: and in two types of Muna Dex which are awesome.
- 8:34Speaker 2: So tony Gin is back. But yeah, those are those
- 8:39Speaker 2: are my answers.
- 8:41Speaker 4: Maybe meditation training people were playing that. No, it's really
- 8:45Speaker 4: not seen as much. That was like really towards the
- 8:48Speaker 4: beginning of Beyond the Gates though too. I think Keelon
- 8:52Speaker 4: Elemental is probably droppable at this point.
- 9:00Speaker 2: I don't think I have from any other factions.
- 9:05Speaker 4: I can't really think of anything specific from other factions.
- 9:08Speaker 4: What about maybe a tinker bell? I think most decks
- 9:10Speaker 4: still run tinker Bell.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Yeah, Tickerbell still floating around with them. What about like
- 9:16Speaker 1: what about like so FEN used to run festival a lot, right,
- 9:21Speaker 1: I don't know if it's Fens still run a lot
- 9:23Speaker 1: of I don't see a lot of Fen festival. But
- 9:26Speaker 1: that's that's kind of it's migrated, right, So is that
- 9:30Speaker 1: the same?
- 9:31Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 9:31Speaker 1: If it's a staple, I can't call it was more
- 9:33Speaker 1: of an archetype. Yeah, I can't call it a staple,
- 9:37Speaker 1: a gimmick, an awesome gimmick, a gimmick, deck the best
- 9:46Speaker 1: gimmick out there.
- 9:48Speaker 2: I'm trying to think of which, which ones uh I
- 9:53Speaker 2: would pick for Yusmere, But I actually I think.
- 9:57Speaker 4: A lot of I can't really find any from Bravos
- 10:00Speaker 4: he is mir.
- 10:01Speaker 2: I think a lot of them are still there. Maybe
- 10:05Speaker 2: for Bravos, you could say the the tracer.
- 10:11Speaker 4: Yeah, people were running that, but the fleeting now there's better. Yeah,
- 10:16Speaker 4: but yeah, people still run intimidation probably.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Uh yeah, here and there, but there are more options now.
- 10:31Speaker 2: I think that was less than five minutes, so we
- 10:33Speaker 2: can keep cruise moving on. Speaking of Cruise Chile as
- 10:40Speaker 2: thoughts on Set for a Name?
- 10:44Speaker 4: Uh, do we know anything about set four? All the
- 10:48Speaker 4: non special people. I haven't seen any spoilers, but we
- 10:53Speaker 4: know this is whispers from the make?
- 10:54Speaker 1: What is set for a names? Everybody gonna die?
- 10:59Speaker 4: You're suppose assuming assuming they escaped the maze and move on.
- 11:05Speaker 4: They had the regular one, than a frost one and
- 11:09Speaker 4: then a maze one. Maybe we'll have a desert set next.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Maybe it's beyond the maze.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Beyond the maze. I cannot answer this question.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Yeah, because you know everybody.
- 11:21Speaker 4: Because he knows it. Yes, I do know it.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Unfortunately a lot more people know it than should because
- 11:32Speaker 2: the retailer did leak in. So if you find out
- 11:37Speaker 2: the name, don't post it anywhere because it's not supposed
- 11:40Speaker 2: to be out yet.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Oh that's weird. I just googled it.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Did you find it that easily?
- 11:50Speaker 1: No? But you I don't know it does pop up?
- 11:55Speaker 1: Oh did I spelled that wrong?
- 11:56Speaker 4: No?
- 11:56Speaker 1: I spelled that right. I just I just googled altered
- 12:00Speaker 1: set for me is and it came up. The AI
- 12:03Speaker 1: overview is Disney Larkanas, it.
- 12:06Speaker 4: Says, whispers his Disney Larkhana.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Yeah, it brings up Disney Larkana. My assumption is it
- 12:15Speaker 1: would be somewhere on Asthma Day, and if I did
- 12:18Speaker 1: enough digging I could find it. I should probably think.
- 12:22Speaker 2: It was Asthma Day. I think it was like some
- 12:25Speaker 2: retailer in another country or something.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Oh, that's a very Asthma Day thing to do.
- 12:33Speaker 2: Yeah, they should have erased it though, and people mentioned
- 12:40Speaker 2: it in the discord. It'll get deleted.
- 12:42Speaker 1: So yeah, I don't know. So everybody knows it, but.
- 12:48Speaker 4: Me, yep, I say it's a desert set. That's what
- 12:52Speaker 4: I got.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Man, You're probably wrong.
- 12:56Speaker 2: And everybody just people who caught it, and.
- 13:01Speaker 1: Which is most people who are paying more attention than
- 13:03Speaker 1: I am. I don't even have time to pay my attention.
- 13:09Speaker 2: They nipped it really quick as far as I know, So.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Kind of surprised that it's not out there though, like
- 13:18Speaker 1: even Facebook cancer so I can't seem to find it
- 13:22Speaker 1: our Facebook. Google can't seem to find it. Google can
- 13:26Speaker 1: usually find.
- 13:26Speaker 2: Anything that means that they caught it before it got
- 13:31Speaker 2: too far.
- 13:32Speaker 1: So yeah, and somewhere on Reddit, I'll guarantee you that,
- 13:37Speaker 1: but there are.
- 13:40Speaker 2: The guesses from the people who can guess. Chili also
- 13:45Speaker 2: asked favorite piece of Lore to date and match then
- 13:50Speaker 2: we answered that two episodes ago. But he's like, but yeah,
- 13:56Speaker 2: now what about now?
- 13:59Speaker 1: Man? It' see I've gotta be mad Scroller. I still
- 14:00Speaker 1: love Penguin, I still love by Magpie Horder.
- 14:04Speaker 2: Yeah, Magpeng Hoarder is pretty good. And Little match Girl
- 14:08Speaker 2: was was really cool and said as well.
- 14:11Speaker 1: It was cool and dark as shit all at the
- 14:13Speaker 1: same time. I loved it fit in my style. This
- 14:20Speaker 1: is wholeheartedly disappointing that I can't find this. I thought
- 14:23Speaker 1: my Google skills were better than this. They are clearly not.
- 14:29Speaker 4: Thinking about what Laura I like that we've gone through.
- 14:33Speaker 4: So I already said I like Paper Harold, and I
- 14:35Speaker 4: got to pick another one that I liked.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I've been listening to the Faction episodes that Hero's
- 14:45Speaker 2: Guide put out of the Lore. I think I've listened
- 14:49Speaker 2: to Olive Muona, of course, and a little bit of
- 14:53Speaker 2: Lyra Our Rock story is really cool of course, the
- 15:00Speaker 2: and yeah, forget his I forget his name out of drag,
- 15:04Speaker 2: but the reason that he got into drag and created
- 15:10Speaker 2: the persona Arak was like in honor of his mom.
- 15:15Speaker 4: So it is what it looks like. Okay, yeah, Omar,
- 15:21Speaker 4: so yeah, very very I like story too, yep.
- 15:25Speaker 2: Are are June. They are just really wholesome gardener vibes. Basically,
- 15:34Speaker 2: Wren's story is kind of sad. Asia's is pretty cool.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Asia is like an ultimate badass, so.
- 15:43Speaker 1: You wouldn't say that.
- 15:45Speaker 2: I mean it's true, though I did.
- 15:49Speaker 1: I'm not biased at all over here.
- 15:53Speaker 2: I I did learn something very sad from the Moon
- 15:57Speaker 2: episode though, and it's that the the tree, the Munabastian tree.
- 16:02Speaker 4: So oh that's sad. What happened to the tree?
- 16:06Speaker 2: They they have not figured it out yet, but like
- 16:09Speaker 2: everyone's banding together to try to slow down the decay
- 16:16Speaker 2: of the tree, the Druids and the Spindle, the yeah,
- 16:21Speaker 2: the Spindle, some of the Yizmeir mages. But yeah, they've
- 16:25Speaker 2: been trying to keep it alive.
- 16:28Speaker 1: M Okay, what do we got next?
- 16:35Speaker 4: Like Cicky's story too, That was the first lower article
- 16:38Speaker 4: I ever read, and I love the what are they
- 16:41Speaker 4: called Griffin's or whatever his his animal is?
- 16:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I believe am I.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Am? I sounding soft to you? Wookie.
- 16:52Speaker 4: No, we'll hear you.
- 16:52Speaker 1: Fine, Yeah, I hear you, fine. Try right If why
- 16:56Speaker 1: is somebody's saying, you can always right click on the
- 17:00Speaker 1: person and raise their volume. If it's too low, you
- 17:04Speaker 1: can I believe you guys can do that in the audience.
- 17:08Speaker 1: But I've got you cranked all the way up. I
- 17:11Speaker 1: do because yeah, you are at normal volume a little
- 17:14Speaker 1: low I have.
- 17:16Speaker 2: I have noise gates and blah blah blah and all
- 17:19Speaker 2: the same. But uh, next is from draconis wookie needs
- 17:27Speaker 2: to do a wookie yell.
- 17:29Speaker 1: A wookie yell. I don't know if wooki is yell.
- 17:33Speaker 1: You ever heard of wookie? Okay, that sounds like a
- 17:35Speaker 1: wookieyeh there roar.
- 17:38Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 17:41Speaker 1: I can't. Let me see if I can do it.
- 17:43Speaker 1: It's been a long time. I haven't done this since
- 17:46Speaker 1: high school. That's where I got the nickname the Wookie.
- 17:50Speaker 1: All right, ready R Is that good enough for you? Guys?
- 17:56Speaker 1: Could you hear it.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Not completely canceled out? Yeah?
- 18:02Speaker 1: Probably? Will's try again.
- 18:08Speaker 2: M mhm.
- 18:10Speaker 4: I was good, we got we got pretty good, but
- 18:12Speaker 4: your your microphone is really stopping.
- 18:15Speaker 1: I have a noisegate on here and it probably it
- 18:17Speaker 1: probably it probably hits it.
- 18:21Speaker 2: Yeah, we we heard it coming through a little bit though,
- 18:24Speaker 2: and I could tell it was. It was.
- 18:26Speaker 1: You'll have to listen to the whole episode now, guys,
- 18:28Speaker 1: and actually listen to the episode. Good thing, it's only
- 18:32Speaker 1: like what twenty minutes in. You're good, you'll fit. Hopefully
- 18:35Speaker 1: the noise gate on another recording software doesn't go be like,
- 18:38Speaker 1: what is that totally blur it out. We'll figure that out.
- 18:41Speaker 1: We'll figure that out later. It'd be funny if it did.
- 18:45Speaker 1: It's just quiet.
- 18:49Speaker 2: Yes, we are back to another question from Felix. How
- 18:54Speaker 2: feasible would a colorless faction be a faction that can
- 19:00Speaker 2: be used in any deck, no matter the primary So well,
- 19:05Speaker 2: I think it's of course feasible the game design.
- 19:07Speaker 1: We're talking about like cards that are just able to
- 19:11Speaker 1: be used in any faction, right, so not colorless, but yes,
- 19:16Speaker 1: large generic actions.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I hope this never happens, is always my statement.
- 19:26Speaker 2: I am sure if the game lives long enough, it
- 19:31Speaker 2: will probably happen, but I hope it doesn't.
- 19:37Speaker 4: Yeah, I think it's much more likely to happen than
- 19:39Speaker 4: adding on like a seventh or eighth faction, But I
- 19:42Speaker 4: would prefer if they wait until like set six or later.
- 19:46Speaker 4: I think it could be interesting to add, but I would.
- 19:50Speaker 4: I don't really think it's necessary right now.
- 19:54Speaker 2: There's already a seventh and eight.
- 19:56Speaker 1: I was going to say that if there s game
- 19:58Speaker 1: lives long enough, there will be new facts, like there's
- 20:00Speaker 1: no way, there's not.
- 20:02Speaker 4: Yeah, there will be eventually.
- 20:04Speaker 1: But that's gonna kind of be I think this game's
- 20:07Speaker 1: way of rotation instead of banning cards or not banning cards,
- 20:12Speaker 1: but like rotating outsets and whatnot. They might rotate out.
- 20:17Speaker 1: They might rotate out factions like faction is getting too strong,
- 20:22Speaker 1: it doesn't really need any more support, so we'll just
- 20:25Speaker 1: we'll go, we'll move a new faction in. That makes
- 20:31Speaker 1: That makes a lot of sense to me. I don't know,
- 20:33Speaker 1: that's just me being there. There's yes, artists, artists can
- 20:45Speaker 1: does artists really need anymore? Like help?
- 20:50Speaker 2: Right?
- 20:54Speaker 1: Well, war is dead?
- 20:56Speaker 2: Maybe after this set we'll see.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Like Wa' is done right, Like he's not coming back.
- 21:02Speaker 1: He had his time in the sunlight. I would. I
- 21:05Speaker 1: still would, Like I can't remember who it was. I
- 21:08Speaker 1: think it was me and Felix talked about it. It
- 21:11Speaker 1: might have been me and Chili, like the living legend
- 21:15Speaker 1: type rule right where like once once it gets too much,
- 21:21Speaker 1: like the hero just gets retired. Like I still think
- 21:26Speaker 1: that would be a good idea, And I mean the
- 21:30Speaker 1: only thing is they didn't start really doing like high
- 21:33Speaker 1: end tournaments right away, so Waru would still be running wild,
- 21:36Speaker 1: I guess right now if we didn't do that, but
- 21:42Speaker 1: we'll see, there's always time to change.
- 21:49Speaker 2: I don't remember the second of the other factions, but
- 21:53Speaker 2: one of them is called the Lost Tribe, so those
- 21:58Speaker 2: exist in the lore. I think with how cool Altered's
- 22:04Speaker 2: law is it, and like how people kind of dedicate
- 22:09Speaker 2: themselves to a faction, I think it would be really
- 22:14Speaker 2: cool to see a card just entirely change factions and
- 22:18Speaker 2: it be part of the law. Like if after Saskia
- 22:25Speaker 2: is no longer brainwormed, if she's like, oh actually I'm
- 22:31Speaker 2: more interested in the maje Arts or whatever, like she
- 22:36Speaker 2: goes over to Yazmir. I think people would would hate that,
- 22:41Speaker 2: but I think it would be cool.
- 22:43Speaker 1: No, that's not a terrible idea. I mean that could
- 22:45Speaker 1: very well be in the lore right, like the whole like, oh,
- 22:50Speaker 1: like obviously it's a thing that's going on right now.
- 22:52Speaker 1: If you're reading the lare, there's brainworms and sap, right
- 23:00Speaker 1: that this could all be things where a lot of
- 23:01Speaker 1: people change factions. Do you change heroes then, like, do
- 23:07Speaker 1: the hero's abilities change if they change factions?
- 23:13Speaker 2: If the hero changed factions, maybe, but Sasky is just
- 23:17Speaker 2: a card, so it wouldn't be as big of an impact.
- 23:20Speaker 1: Right, Oh you're yeah, yeah, but I'm saying, like, let's
- 23:23Speaker 1: just say a hero did I guess I should have
- 23:25Speaker 1: prefaced with that. My bad. I didn't quite set that
- 23:28Speaker 1: one up as well as I could have. But like,
- 23:30Speaker 1: let's say a hero did change, right, Like, oh, yeah,
- 23:32Speaker 1: I'm actually not this right, I'm actually this but it
- 23:37Speaker 1: was the SAP. The SAP was getting to me or whatever,
- 23:40Speaker 1: you know whatever in storyline, YadA YadA, Like, yeah, okay,
- 23:45Speaker 1: let's just say fen all of a sudden now is not?
- 23:49Speaker 2: Is it?
- 23:49Speaker 1: Okay?
- 23:50Speaker 2: So?
- 23:50Speaker 1: Is it in storyline? Right? Is it possible for a
- 23:57Speaker 1: hero to get a new companion?
- 24:03Speaker 2: Uh? So? I actually don't know because the process to
- 24:09Speaker 2: bond with their idol on or whatever. I sometimes get
- 24:16Speaker 2: the terms mixed up because there's a couple of terms
- 24:19Speaker 2: within actual lore. I think that's basically they become they
- 24:23Speaker 2: become one soul, so like they become like intertwined together.
- 24:29Speaker 4: So if one dies, the other one dies.
- 24:32Speaker 2: I don't know if it's quiet like that, but it
- 24:34Speaker 2: could be interesting. It would be interesting like if for
- 24:39Speaker 2: some reason people decided to try and help lind Away
- 24:44Speaker 2: and like remove Mo from her, Like what that would
- 24:48Speaker 2: what would happen and what that would look like. But
- 24:51Speaker 2: I don't know if anywhere in the Lore that has happened.
- 24:57Speaker 2: It's every single thing.
- 24:59Speaker 1: They're attached to each other, but it almost seems more
- 25:01Speaker 1: of again, more of a marriage and less of a like.
- 25:07Speaker 1: I don't know, I guess I don't know how I
- 25:09Speaker 1: really want to explain that. Well, it's just like friends, like,
- 25:12Speaker 1: oh I don't like Crowbar no more, I actually want
- 25:15Speaker 1: to be with Ma. Could you can have like little
- 25:21Speaker 1: hero companion love triangles? Jerry j Jerry.
- 25:27Speaker 2: That example is probably like outside of Lore, that example
- 25:33Speaker 2: is probably the best one you could have picked because
- 25:37Speaker 2: they're all in a band together. So what if the
- 25:39Speaker 2: band breaks up?
- 25:41Speaker 1: What if the band breaks up?
- 25:42Speaker 2: Oh?
- 25:42Speaker 1: Man? Yeah? So I mean, and could heroes be downgraded
- 25:51Speaker 1: from hero to from hero to character? Could you see
- 25:56Speaker 1: a fan character?
- 25:58Speaker 4: Anything possible?
- 26:00Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 26:01Speaker 4: Once it loses its companion.
- 26:03Speaker 1: Yeah, like we I guess we don't know what happens
- 26:06Speaker 1: when you lose your companion. Yeah, but let's say, let's say,
- 26:10Speaker 1: as far as I've read, let's say your companion does
- 26:13Speaker 1: bite the big one, and yet you're still around. Do
- 26:16Speaker 1: you get a new companion? Or like, are you just
- 26:20Speaker 1: now a character? Hm? Hmm all interesting questions.
- 26:26Speaker 2: Honest will retire?
- 26:28Speaker 1: Maybe he just becomes an old monk? Yeah, alright, I
- 26:36Speaker 1: think we spent enough time by this. Keep going.
- 26:41Speaker 2: Siera goes from being born in Elyra caravan to then
- 26:48Speaker 2: joining Axiom after she loses her legs. So there's that.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Oh yeah, there we go.
- 26:57Speaker 2: A devotion to a certain faction. So it'd be interesting
- 27:01Speaker 2: to see if that change.
- 27:02Speaker 1: We could do a lot of stuff here. I'm digging it.
- 27:04Speaker 1: I'm digging it. You could have a big shake up,
- 27:07Speaker 1: all right? What do we gott next?
- 27:10Speaker 2: Again? From the Felix, I think he is missing us
- 27:17Speaker 2: out there in the Netherlands. I don't know why, living
- 27:22Speaker 2: the life out there, I'm sure. But would high cost
- 27:26Speaker 2: characters be better if they had tough I think this, Yes.
- 27:31Speaker 4: All of them are very much better with tough. Yes, Now,
- 27:36Speaker 4: that doesn't necessarily mean that they're like good, but still
- 27:40Speaker 4: makes them better if they're tough, if your characters are
- 27:42Speaker 4: harder to remove by a cheap removal than they're worth more.
- 27:49Speaker 2: I think the game designers have found a way to
- 27:55Speaker 2: make high cost characters good or at LEAs He's better
- 28:01Speaker 2: without adding tough.
- 28:02Speaker 4: Though.
- 28:04Speaker 2: I think Scout and then Scout new dynamics from this set, like.
- 28:11Speaker 4: The Hunger is wild. The Hunger it's crazy, and Loki
- 28:16Speaker 4: can be super good against certain decks too.
- 28:19Speaker 2: Yep, So you're gonna see more Loki to counterbalance against
- 28:25Speaker 2: things like the Hunger, and you might see instead of
- 28:32Speaker 2: hydras since they start at zero basically and gain boosts.
- 28:37Speaker 2: You might see characters that are already natively strong becoming
- 28:43Speaker 2: in favor because of like Sap Duende or man in the.
- 28:47Speaker 1: Main Who's saying this for like two sets, by the way,
- 28:53Speaker 1: I just want.
- 28:54Speaker 2: To it is what it is, all right.
- 28:59Speaker 4: I think I think we will start to see more
- 29:02Speaker 4: big characters, but I think the small agro style will
- 29:05Speaker 4: stick around.
- 29:06Speaker 1: I don't think. I don't think you will when there's
- 29:08Speaker 1: still so like whether there's that much removal out there,
- 29:12Speaker 1: it's just too much too many resources to give up
- 29:16Speaker 1: for the for the chance of it being removed so easily.
- 29:21Speaker 1: I don't think you're gonna see it. And unless they
- 29:23Speaker 1: have some way of.
- 29:25Speaker 4: Like like.
- 29:31Speaker 1: I don't know what's what's Yeah, I just don't know
- 29:34Speaker 1: because like that, that's it's the same thing in magic,
- 29:37Speaker 1: Like a lot of people don't like playing the big
- 29:39Speaker 1: creatures because they're so easily removed.
- 29:44Speaker 4: Yeah, you just counter spell it or gil it or
- 29:46Speaker 4: whatever and it's done.
- 29:48Speaker 2: Yeah, Like the majority of the meadow will stay low, yes,
- 29:56Speaker 2: low curve, YadA, YadA. But there's been more successful decks
- 30:01Speaker 2: recently that use something like.
- 30:04Speaker 1: Tough is like ward, right, because I don't see a
- 30:06Speaker 1: lot of tough, So tough is like ward if I remember.
- 30:09Speaker 4: Correctly, Tough is kind of like the magic term.
- 30:13Speaker 1: Magic word, right, it makes you pay more. Right, So
- 30:17Speaker 1: there's no there's no keyword. The only thing that I
- 30:20Speaker 1: can think of is having a keyword that says, you know,
- 30:24Speaker 1: it can't be it can't be targeted by a spouse.
- 30:30Speaker 1: That's the only way I see them really coming into favor.
- 30:36Speaker 1: Just give them in vulnerability, vulnerability or something like that.
- 30:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it's possible in a future set.
- 30:45Speaker 4: But then what if you like find a way to
- 30:46Speaker 4: then give them in vulnerability and gigantic and eternal, then
- 30:51Speaker 4: like that seems too strong. If you can do.
- 30:53Speaker 1: That, that's called winning Dexter.
- 30:57Speaker 2: You still have to get that.
- 30:58Speaker 4: But like if you that's.
- 30:59Speaker 1: Right, I mean, yeah, there's going to have to be
- 31:02Speaker 1: a downside, right, but like, like it's just it's so
- 31:07Speaker 1: risky playing a high value creature or high value character
- 31:11Speaker 1: and just if it just gets washed off the board
- 31:14Speaker 1: so easily killed. Yea tough is fine, but.
- 31:20Speaker 4: A lot of man A ramp will help with that too,
- 31:24Speaker 4: that we're seeing in Out Saudi. If you ramp a
- 31:26Speaker 4: whole bunch, then playing something big and losing it, you
- 31:29Speaker 4: still have some manna to say.
- 31:31Speaker 1: Sure, But then I mean, do you really want to
- 31:33Speaker 1: add that much ramp into this game? Yeah, Like you
- 31:40Speaker 1: add that amount of ramp, that just becomes the meta.
- 31:42Speaker 1: Then at that point, if you're allowed to play big
- 31:44Speaker 1: things all the time because you're ramping out of out
- 31:47Speaker 1: of crazy, you just now that's the meta. So I
- 31:50Speaker 1: don't know if you want to add that amount of ramp.
- 31:54Speaker 4: It's really only Bravos that has the ramp access. Now
- 31:57Speaker 4: a little bit Moon too.
- 32:01Speaker 1: But if you're going to add it, you can't just
- 32:04Speaker 1: add it to one faction. You have to add it
- 32:05Speaker 1: to all factions.
- 32:09Speaker 4: That's not true.
- 32:11Speaker 1: Well yeah, because then the other one of the other factions.
- 32:13Speaker 4: That's not how this game has operated. So Muna has anchored, right,
- 32:18Speaker 4: none of the other factions really have that much ink.
- 32:22Speaker 2: Damn.
- 32:22Speaker 1: But that anchoress a little bit anchor doesn't make me
- 32:26Speaker 1: not be able to destroy it. Yes, I can still kill.
- 32:32Speaker 4: It right then you add Yeah, I don't know.
- 32:37Speaker 1: I think that's a question for a different day.
- 32:39Speaker 4: I think it's possible that they just keep ramped to
- 32:42Speaker 4: one or two factions and make it so that it
- 32:45Speaker 4: has a place in the meta, but it's still not dominating.
- 32:47Speaker 4: I think they've done a good job with that so far.
- 32:51Speaker 1: Yeah, just talk to commander players and how they feel
- 32:53Speaker 1: about green.
- 32:56Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 32:58Speaker 5: But all right, what do we okay we have Raconis
- 33:06Speaker 5: says when they show food being cooked in the cards.
- 33:10Speaker 2: Do we think it might be some of the characters
- 33:13Speaker 2: being caught?
- 33:13Speaker 4: And yes, absolutely, the penguins, the raccoons one. Absolutely. There's
- 33:23Speaker 4: so many characters that are animals, the fire bunny. I'm
- 33:28Speaker 4: sure there's others that I can't think of. There's a
- 33:30Speaker 4: lot of animals absolutely tough to eat.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Is that what they call fast food?
- 33:40Speaker 2: Probably doombringer? I will come to your house.
- 33:45Speaker 1: Why couldn't you? I guess why couldn't you eat a
- 33:49Speaker 1: spindle harvest.
- 33:50Speaker 2: Shrooms are because I'll come to your house with a gun.
- 33:56Speaker 4: What is that?
- 33:56Speaker 1: What? What? Why is hung a gun gonna hurt somebody
- 34:00Speaker 1: for being hungry? That's harsh for eating.
- 34:05Speaker 4: I have plenty of extra spindle harvesters. If you want
- 34:09Speaker 4: one coal, I have like twenty right over here, you
- 34:11Speaker 4: can have one one of eating one of them is
- 34:14Speaker 4: not eating them?
- 34:16Speaker 1: Why why would you? Why would you think they don't
- 34:19Speaker 1: eat them?
- 34:23Speaker 2: Like?
- 34:23Speaker 1: What what in your head?
- 34:24Speaker 2: Like I'm saying, if you do, well, this isn't this
- 34:28Speaker 2: isn't really My answer is I think, unfortunately, there is
- 34:35Speaker 2: some eating of them, because if you look at Snooze
- 34:38Speaker 2: or shroom, someone took a bite out of him.
- 34:41Speaker 1: Some eating of them. There's there's more than some. They
- 34:44Speaker 1: are eating those things, all of them, well maybe not,
- 34:48Speaker 1: maybe not the.
- 34:49Speaker 4: I want to see this bite taken out of snoozeors room.
- 34:51Speaker 1: Oh nice, I look at the art.
- 34:53Speaker 4: It's there, but yeah, yeah, in the yea, yeah, they're
- 34:59Speaker 4: definitely eating there's a lot of plants.
- 35:05Speaker 2: Yeah, and the unique art. He's handing you a piece
- 35:07Speaker 2: of what looks like his cap.
- 35:09Speaker 1: So like, what like in Pokemon? Do you think they
- 35:12Speaker 1: don't eat the Pokemon?
- 35:14Speaker 4: They definitely eat the Pokemon.
- 35:18Speaker 2: Yeah, there's that episode of the anime where they're eating
- 35:24Speaker 2: magic carts. Fucked up man, but Onto, yeah it is Onto.
- 35:33Speaker 1: The next question, Oh, you're a vegetarian. That's right. I forgot,
- 35:40Speaker 1: I forgot your vegan.
- 35:42Speaker 4: We're all fine with the animals.
- 35:45Speaker 2: Yeah, you guys are all freaking crazy. Yeah, you're gonna
- 35:50Speaker 2: play with these creatures, make them fight your battles and
- 35:53Speaker 2: then turn around and cook them in a stew.
- 35:55Speaker 1: Yeah, yes, no respect fact no.
- 36:02Speaker 2: But Dooombringer says, what is your favorite card that people don't.
- 36:07Speaker 1: Play magpen Horder. I don't know.
- 36:14Speaker 4: He might he doesn't like that cad.
- 36:16Speaker 1: He's kind of played.
- 36:18Speaker 2: Ye very good in fan right now. Felix was here, he.
- 36:25Speaker 1: Would say, garrickt this tiny match girl being played a
- 36:29Speaker 1: lot lately.
- 36:31Speaker 2: M No, too much.
- 36:34Speaker 1: There you go. I'll go with that one.
- 36:35Speaker 2: I think uh, I think Sarngar is uh better.
- 36:42Speaker 4: And I honestly really like the flavor of all of
- 36:44Speaker 4: the all of the ice bound permanents, but none of
- 36:47Speaker 4: them are really good enough to be played in most.
- 36:50Speaker 1: Dicks, I do have to say so, Like.
- 36:52Speaker 4: I really like the design of them.
- 36:54Speaker 1: Felix has his his garricks right, and I have my
- 36:58Speaker 1: magpen hoarders. Trying to collect all of them is actually
- 37:02Speaker 1: kind of fun. I'm not gonna lie to nobody. I'm
- 37:04Speaker 1: not really a collector of anything, but like when you're like,
- 37:07Speaker 1: I want them all, it's kind of fun. I'm not
- 37:12Speaker 1: gonna lie to you. I don't know why. It just
- 37:14Speaker 1: is every day there's a new discovery of whatever it
- 37:19Speaker 1: is you're looking for in the marketplace. Unfortunately, I now
- 37:26Speaker 1: to have a visa, which is being a bitch in
- 37:28Speaker 1: the marketplace. Thanks marketplace, But I.
- 37:35Speaker 4: Had no problems. I don't know what's up with. Are
- 37:40Speaker 4: you using a visa?
- 37:43Speaker 2: I have used Visa and Master.
- 37:46Speaker 1: Yeah, I had a problem with visa. I had to
- 37:47Speaker 1: hook up my cash directly to my bank account. Oh,
- 37:51Speaker 1: I didn't see that option.
- 37:54Speaker 2: Your address, Wookie, because you said your address.
- 37:58Speaker 1: My address is Jack, so might be my address because
- 38:01Speaker 1: my address is a weird address. That man if I
- 38:05Speaker 1: told somebody overseas that this was my address. Actually I
- 38:08Speaker 1: have done that, and they're like, are you I get
- 38:11Speaker 1: back the Are you sure that a real address? Yeah,
- 38:14Speaker 1: it's like, yeah, that's my real address. It's legit.
- 38:19Speaker 2: Yeah. Visa will just straight up deny the charge if
- 38:22Speaker 2: the addresses don't match one and with ups they sometimes
- 38:30Speaker 2: correct addresses, and I've seen people have that issue before.
- 38:36Speaker 2: Simon had to change his address to match so that
- 38:40Speaker 2: Visa stopped bouncing it.
- 38:45Speaker 1: All right, what do we go next?
- 38:49Speaker 2: We have draconis. Do you think it's worth it to
- 38:54Speaker 2: still get a box of Kickstarter Beyond the Gates New
- 38:58Speaker 2: Player or Current? I tell people if you can get
- 39:02Speaker 2: one for under one hundred and forty dollars, absolutely, it
- 39:08Speaker 2: is a great box and you can hunt for a godpack.
- 39:14Speaker 4: So yeah, they're still out there. Easy, we just say crazy.
- 39:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 39:25Speaker 1: And two Legal Legends. Now he has a card game.
- 39:30Speaker 2: Yes, it's coming out in October, ridiculous. Are you ready
- 39:34Speaker 2: for our spin off episode?
- 39:35Speaker 1: Uh?
- 39:36Speaker 2: No, Rift Corner?
- 39:39Speaker 1: Rift Bound?
- 39:41Speaker 2: Yeah? Rift Corner?
- 39:43Speaker 1: Yeah? Is is Riftbound a game before Legal Legends? Did it?
- 39:48Speaker 1: Or is it Legal Legends? And the games just called rift.
- 39:50Speaker 2: Bound the card game is called rift Bound.
- 39:54Speaker 1: Ye, it's just you. Okay, so it was a card
- 39:57Speaker 1: game before and now they're just using the Legal Legends.
- 39:59Speaker 1: I pete.
- 40:01Speaker 2: Oh no, it's brand new League of Legends.
- 40:02Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, I don't know what's going on. I just
- 40:07Speaker 1: I got sent to somebody linked me to it on
- 40:12Speaker 1: Twitter or x or whatever this is. But I was like, huh,
- 40:15Speaker 1: this is weird, and so yeah, for all you Legal you're.
- 40:20Speaker 2: Probably gonna be my second game.
- 40:24Speaker 1: Are you gonna Are you gonna do some rift Bound?
- 40:27Speaker 1: Are you gonna leave altered.
- 40:28Speaker 2: For rift No, that's why I said the second game.
- 40:32Speaker 1: Okay, you'll do but.
- 40:38Speaker 2: Yeah, the next question, but yeah, no.
- 40:40Speaker 1: No, for I'm sorry for the kick Starter version, I
- 40:42Speaker 1: think right like, there's still a lot of of core
- 40:47Speaker 1: cards are from Beyond the Gate, so yeah, absolutely.
- 40:51Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's got more in each pack, it's got
- 40:56Speaker 2: higher rarity chance all that. So yeah, sounds like and
- 41:02Speaker 2: that's worth it.
- 41:03Speaker 1: Yeah, sounds like a good time to be uh.
- 41:07Speaker 2: Felix says, if you guys were a hero in the game,
- 41:11Speaker 2: which faction, ability, reserve and landmark limits would you have?
- 41:17Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, I don't think I fit into this game.
- 41:27Speaker 4: I'm too basic, too basic.
- 41:31Speaker 2: I mean, if you think about it, Tasia is kind
- 41:34Speaker 2: of basic.
- 41:35Speaker 4: But but I'm not like a SuperNature lover or anything.
- 41:43Speaker 4: I would probably be Bravos just because I have no
- 41:47Speaker 4: fear and I do whatever I want, even like adventure
- 41:52Speaker 4: kind of nature.
- 41:53Speaker 1: This is the Overnight House. Guess one, right, I haven't Yes?
- 41:59Speaker 2: No, what are you already skipping?
- 42:02Speaker 1: I guess I did skip? I'm sorry.
- 42:03Speaker 4: What was the question if you were a hero in
- 42:05Speaker 4: the game, what would you be? Like?
- 42:08Speaker 1: Do I have to pick a hero? And like, I.
- 42:11Speaker 4: Would say, bravost like your own faction ability and oh,
- 42:16Speaker 4: pick my own, your own, make your own hero that
- 42:19Speaker 4: you that like lines up with who you are. I
- 42:22Speaker 4: would pick Bravos. My ability would probably be to remove
- 42:27Speaker 4: fleeting on people somehow, and I would pick three reserve
- 42:31Speaker 4: and one landmark. Why not, let's let's do a whole
- 42:36Speaker 4: bunch of resupply fleeting Shenanigans in Bravos.
- 42:41Speaker 1: Hm. Hm, Oh, I didn't know we were going that
- 42:44Speaker 1: deep into it. Oh, yeah, there it is. Hmmm.
- 42:52Speaker 2: Uh would be no. I would be a tall my
- 43:03Speaker 2: cellium like creature.
- 43:07Speaker 4: Okay.
- 43:08Speaker 2: I would be the only non human hero and my
- 43:14Speaker 2: companion I'll just take floor as my companion that works
- 43:19Speaker 2: and I want, I will take yes. I will have
- 43:27Speaker 2: water counters that I can tap my hero to uh
- 43:33Speaker 2: refill my water jug and I can distribute water to
- 43:41Speaker 2: give plants boosts. And I'll have three landmarks one reserve.
- 43:48Speaker 2: Yeah that's me Lambent. My cellium will be a big old.
- 43:52Speaker 4: Tree, big tree that gets real big.
- 43:54Speaker 1: Yep, hmmm. This is a toughie for me. I feel
- 44:03Speaker 1: like I'm torn between. So I was just trying to
- 44:06Speaker 1: explain that I feel like I'm torn between two right now? Right?
- 44:10Speaker 1: Am I am I more Yeasmere or am I more
- 44:13Speaker 1: Muna Muna? Lyra? Probably more Yeasmir.
- 44:20Speaker 4: I like both of those.
- 44:21Speaker 1: I do like both of those, but I'm probably more
- 44:24Speaker 1: Yeasmere than I am Lyra. I'm not into all the
- 44:27Speaker 1: hippie stuff like Lyra is. Right, yeah, but I do
- 44:32Speaker 1: love fucking with people. It is one of my favorite hobbies.
- 44:37Speaker 2: But that sentence was gonna end a lot sooner, and
- 44:40Speaker 2: I was like, yep, uh huh texts.
- 44:42Speaker 1: Out Yeah, I dude, it is one of my favorite hobbies.
- 44:47Speaker 1: But I feel like Yasmer does a lot of fucking
- 44:48Speaker 1: with people too, right, just in a different.
- 44:52Speaker 2: Way, uh, proabably, Yeah.
- 44:57Speaker 1: Like removals, like I guess, I guess, I'm I'm kind
- 45:00Speaker 1: of pointing that is like a bunch of like fucking
- 45:02Speaker 1: with people, like Hi, just as you thought you had it,
- 45:06Speaker 1: you don't, sucker.
- 45:08Speaker 2: I'd probably go use Mera has tricksters. Yeah, I'm laying
- 45:12Speaker 2: and all sorts of stuff.
- 45:13Speaker 1: I do love gambling. Can I be a split faction?
- 45:17Speaker 1: Can I be the first split faction hero? You can
- 45:19Speaker 1: play me with their or Lyra, sure, just for you,
- 45:25Speaker 1: but but you can have well, I think the ability
- 45:28Speaker 1: would have to be like you can't have any what
- 45:31Speaker 1: is it off faction cards? Right? They either have to
- 45:35Speaker 1: be the Lyra rare or common or their rare or common.
- 45:40Speaker 1: You can't use any of the any of the you know,
- 45:43Speaker 1: the artists. Yeah, the oofs, no oofs, no oofs, no oofs.
- 45:51Speaker 1: And my my ability would have to be something with
- 45:53Speaker 1: rolling dice. I just don't know what it would be like.
- 45:57Speaker 1: It would be Yeah, well I'm remember I'm doing the
- 46:01Speaker 1: first I'm doing the first dual faction hero here, right,
- 46:08Speaker 1: So like somewhere in there it would have to be like, man,
- 46:11Speaker 1: what do we roll? What's the most random what is
- 46:13Speaker 1: the worst to die to roll that? Nobody ever has.
- 46:18Speaker 1: I think it's the D eight, right, or is it
- 46:21Speaker 1: a D twelve Nope? I think we're rolling a D
- 46:24Speaker 1: twelve just to make you have to buy a whole
- 46:26Speaker 1: set of dice for no reason.
- 46:29Speaker 4: It'll probably be D twelve.
- 46:31Speaker 1: Yeah. And I think each one of those, like you,
- 46:35Speaker 1: I would you. You could roll the dice every turn
- 46:39Speaker 1: and each number would have a different you know, one
- 46:42Speaker 1: would be like sabotage, one would be you know, like reserve, reserve, exhaust, reserve,
- 46:54Speaker 1: one would be you know, everyone would be something a
- 46:56Speaker 1: little bit different. And then and if you roll a
- 47:01Speaker 1: twenty on a D twelve, you just win the game.
- 47:03Speaker 4: Twelve options, rookie, imagine what your hero would look like.
- 47:08Speaker 4: You'd have twelve How much text do you have on
- 47:11Speaker 4: your hero? So much?
- 47:13Speaker 1: Lord, so much text? And if you roll a twenty
- 47:16Speaker 1: on a D twelve, you just win the game.
- 47:21Speaker 2: Nice.
- 47:21Speaker 4: Sounds pretty good.
- 47:23Speaker 2: Well, there, there we are. There we are is heroes.
- 47:28Speaker 1: I'm gonna be I'm gonna be basic bitch with this.
- 47:30Speaker 1: I'm just gonna go with the two reserve to to
- 47:33Speaker 1: two landmarks. I think I'm pretty standard in that and
- 47:37Speaker 1: that and that of affinity. There you go.
- 47:43Speaker 2: Do you follow that up? Draconis asks which hero would
- 47:47Speaker 2: make a horrible overnight house. Guess easy. That guy who.
- 47:53Speaker 1: Smells like Ben Gay.
- 47:56Speaker 4: Is just the old guy.
- 47:57Speaker 1: That's why you smell, like, do you what been gay
- 48:01Speaker 1: smells great?
- 48:03Speaker 2: It spells like peppermin?
- 48:04Speaker 1: No, it doesn't. What ben Gey? Are you sniffing?
- 48:09Speaker 4: I mean I don't even know what that is? What
- 48:11Speaker 4: word are you saying?
- 48:12Speaker 1: Ben and gay?
- 48:13Speaker 2: Ben Gay? You're too young to know?
- 48:18Speaker 1: B yeah, b n g a y Ben Gay? Yeah,
- 48:24Speaker 1: old people rub it? You ever smell? You ever go
- 48:26Speaker 1: next to old people and you're like, oh, it spells
- 48:28Speaker 1: like old people. That's what Ben Gay smells like.
- 48:32Speaker 4: Oh that's what that is.
- 48:33Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what that is.
- 48:35Speaker 2: There's also tiger Tiger baumb.
- 48:39Speaker 1: There is tiger baum you also, you not have bio
- 48:41Speaker 1: freeze now too. I do like bio freeze. I use
- 48:45Speaker 1: a lot of bio frees.
- 48:47Speaker 2: Segasmar is a freaking military weeny committing war crimes. He
- 48:55Speaker 2: would definitely be terrible.
- 48:57Speaker 1: What war crimes has he committed? Besides for the ones
- 49:02Speaker 1: in your head?
- 49:03Speaker 2: Kids? He put Kidsue and Tony Jin in jail just
- 49:09Speaker 2: for fun.
- 49:10Speaker 1: It wasn't just for fun, Let's be honest. What it
- 49:13Speaker 1: really was for.
- 49:16Speaker 2: Because he wanted to show off to recruits and the
- 49:19Speaker 2: tiny Gin was just in his way.
- 49:21Speaker 1: Well, I mean, can't be in the way.
- 49:27Speaker 4: I don't have an answer for this question. I think
- 49:29Speaker 4: they would all be fine.
- 49:31Speaker 2: What I mean, Novenka would probably be really bad too, honestly.
- 49:37Speaker 1: Wellvenka's a little fucked.
- 49:40Speaker 2: Yeah, she would eat all your snacks, she'd make a mess,
- 49:44Speaker 2: she'd probably.
- 49:45Speaker 4: Yeah, that is true. I was thinking Novenka with all
- 49:47Speaker 4: the spray paint and all the ship, she would be
- 49:50Speaker 4: up to track mud in the Yeah.
- 49:56Speaker 1: Isn Avenka the youngest hero?
- 50:00Speaker 2: Oh? Like or Wren? Oh n?
- 50:05Speaker 1: Yeah, Wren might be young too.
- 50:07Speaker 4: Wren is pretty young, but I'm not sure.
- 50:13Speaker 2: They are all. I mean, I would take Novenko over
- 50:18Speaker 2: Sigasmar any day.
- 50:23Speaker 1: All right, next question, what war crhymes did he commit?
- 50:27Speaker 2: He is upset because because we've read it on this podcasted.
- 50:31Speaker 1: With tiny Gin, and that makes that makes coal sense.
- 50:35Speaker 4: Oh yeah, also, uh, the.
- 50:44Speaker 2: Orrery. Absolutely the military, So I mean what war crimes?
- 50:48Speaker 4: Yeah, that is true. You don't want military in your house.
- 50:52Speaker 4: They're all a hive mind, they're all gonna know about me.
- 50:55Speaker 4: I don't want that.
- 50:57Speaker 1: All right, what are we going next?
- 51:01Speaker 2: All right? I think this is the last one from Draconis,
- 51:04Speaker 2: all right, so uh on after this we move on
- 51:09Speaker 2: to Reddit and discord. Draconas says when they eventually add
- 51:16Speaker 2: more heroes villains to the game, Yes, how many more
- 51:20Speaker 2: do you feel should be added? Should any heroes be retired?
- 51:24Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 51:24Speaker 2: New ones come out or just add to the ones
- 51:27Speaker 2: we already have?
- 51:30Speaker 4: I think it should be limited. Uh what is it?
- 51:33Speaker 4: Three times six eighteen max at a time? I think
- 51:38Speaker 4: as many as they want can be added, but probably
- 51:41Speaker 4: no more than like three per set. I don't want
- 51:46Speaker 4: them to add like six new heroes and then retire
- 51:49Speaker 4: six per set. That seems too drastic.
- 51:52Speaker 1: Change. Well, what if they added like six new ones
- 51:55Speaker 1: but they only retired like, let's say, like one from
- 51:58Speaker 1: each faction. I guess that's sick.
- 52:01Speaker 4: And that would be retiring six.
- 52:03Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, don't, don't, don't don't point out to watch
- 52:06Speaker 1: it fly in my mask? What if what if they
- 52:09Speaker 1: were tired like two, but they added like six new ones.
- 52:15Speaker 4: Uh, maybe that's fine, but then, like, I don't want
- 52:19Speaker 4: them to keep doing that if more heroes that are
- 52:23Speaker 4: all alive, then the.
- 52:25Speaker 1: What if they never retired any hero and just kept
- 52:28Speaker 1: adding you just get new heroes. Like let's say next
- 52:34Speaker 1: set comes out and they're like, here's here's a.
- 52:40Speaker 4: Have to build. Like, I think that makes it too
- 52:46Speaker 4: complicated and too difficult to do deck building because now
- 52:49Speaker 4: you have too many options.
- 52:50Speaker 1: And it's like, but that's the beauty, that's the beauty
- 52:54Speaker 1: of it. You don't think like that.
- 52:58Speaker 4: That's literally like too hard for me, too many options.
- 53:01Speaker 1: Not too hard, too many options. It becomes a very
- 53:05Speaker 1: viable game state where no one deck is destroying, right, Like,
- 53:11Speaker 1: if you're gonna.
- 53:12Speaker 4: Have to balance every single hero, that's too hard to balance.
- 53:18Speaker 1: You don't think they had to balance them in the beginning.
- 53:22Speaker 4: Yeah, but what I'm saying here forty heroes, there's no
- 53:26Speaker 4: way they're all balanced with each other together.
- 53:29Speaker 1: Well, that's why quarterly.
- 53:32Speaker 4: Eighteen is a good benchmark. I rotate out heroes if
- 53:37Speaker 4: they're super good or super bad, and then make it
- 53:40Speaker 4: more even so that there's some broader spread.
- 53:43Speaker 1: I say, the more the mary. And there's nothing wrong
- 53:48Speaker 1: with having a super awesome meta where it is very
- 53:52Speaker 1: unpredictable and a lot of fun.
- 53:58Speaker 2: I don't think they've ever mentioned rotating a hero out yet.
- 54:05Speaker 2: There will be new heroes for the next set. I
- 54:11Speaker 2: can only answer parts of this question, so that's all
- 54:14Speaker 2: I'll say.
- 54:15Speaker 1: All right, what do we got next? We're moving into
- 54:20Speaker 1: the reddit questions? Do we put make up? I'm guessing
- 54:22Speaker 1: we made a post on Reddit looking at the questions.
- 54:27Speaker 2: Yeah, when I was when I decided that this is
- 54:30Speaker 2: what we will do. I posted everywhere. Twitter and Blue
- 54:36Speaker 2: Sky gave me nothing. So you guys have all failed me.
- 54:43Speaker 2: Don't follow us on there, but you want to. Now
- 54:46Speaker 2: you can know that we exist there.
- 54:50Speaker 1: We exist on Twitter and.
- 54:54Speaker 2: Yeah, m Tross left a bunch of good questions and
- 55:01Speaker 2: also said a fan of the pod, so shout out
- 55:05Speaker 2: to m truss. Uh. First question is what's your favorite
- 55:10Speaker 2: card back design? Of the three current versions?
- 55:15Speaker 4: I was there are different versions?
- 55:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I was gonna put the versions for you guys here.
- 55:21Speaker 1: You didn't notice, but I forgot.
- 55:23Speaker 6: So is it the heroes, the the heroes, the token,
- 55:29Speaker 6: the regular cards, but all slightly different from each other.
- 55:34Speaker 2: That also has a different back.
- 55:36Speaker 4: Wait what each set is different too?
- 55:41Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 55:41Speaker 4: Now I gotta look at all my cards.
- 55:43Speaker 1: Yeah, hold on pause, Hold on, what's different about them?
- 56:01Speaker 2: All? Right?
- 56:02Speaker 1: Cool? What's different about it all?
- 56:03Speaker 2: I think you can Actually, I don't think you can
- 56:06Speaker 2: tell on the actual cards. I think it's more so
- 56:10Speaker 2: they put them out on the sleeves. I'll show you them.
- 56:16Speaker 1: Okay. Now I'm interested because I'm looking at I'm.
- 56:19Speaker 4: Like, personally, I cannot tell the difference. I'm the only
- 56:22Speaker 4: ones that are different are regular cards versus tokens.
- 56:27Speaker 1: But the heroes have different I believe they do.
- 56:30Speaker 4: Know they're the same as regular cards.
- 56:33Speaker 2: You have to look at this the sleeves.
- 56:35Speaker 1: Oh, the sleeve art. Okay, there's one.
- 56:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I think there's actually oh wait, no, there there
- 56:44Speaker 2: are three.
- 56:45Speaker 1: Okay, okay, okay, okay, oh okay, I saw the sleeve change.
- 56:53Speaker 4: This one from so Trial by Frost, Beyond the Gates
- 56:57Speaker 4: and Whispers from the Maze each have a different card back.
- 57:01Speaker 1: For the sleeves. Yes, yeah, the sleeves. Okay, I like
- 57:06Speaker 1: the same. Yeah, yeah, that's what that's what we have.
- 57:12Speaker 2: Tried by Frost is my favorite.
- 57:14Speaker 4: I like Trial by Frost. That one's the most vibrant,
- 57:17Speaker 4: most interesting.
- 57:18Speaker 1: What's the third one, I'm guessing that's Whispers from the Maze.
- 57:24Speaker 2: Yeah, Whispers from the Maze is really that one's cool.
- 57:30Speaker 2: I just really like the Trial by Frost one.
- 57:33Speaker 4: Yeah, we all agree that Beyond the Gates is the
- 57:36Speaker 4: most boring.
- 57:39Speaker 1: It's pretty interesting. I mean it's.
- 57:44Speaker 4: It's it's not bad.
- 57:45Speaker 1: But the other ones, I mean, you got you got
- 57:47Speaker 1: something that's like super whimsical and Trial by Frost, right,
- 57:53Speaker 1: I don't know. Something draws me to the Whispers from
- 57:57Speaker 1: the Maze.
- 57:59Speaker 4: It looks like like almost three D.
- 58:02Speaker 1: I'm trying to remember what that movie was that kind
- 58:07Speaker 1: of has this Polar Bear. It was an animated movie,
- 58:11Speaker 1: Polar Bears Express. No, was it Polar Express Polar Bear
- 58:15Speaker 1: The animals talk that they were at like war. I'm
- 58:19Speaker 1: gonna have to go find that movie now.
- 58:21Speaker 4: Huh. The only thing I can think of is Ice Age,
- 58:24Speaker 4: not Ice Age.
- 58:28Speaker 2: I think I know what you were talking about. But
- 58:33Speaker 2: I thought I thought that was the in the same one.
- 58:36Speaker 2: I thought that was all in Polar Express.
- 58:38Speaker 1: No, the Golden Compass.
- 58:41Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 58:42Speaker 1: That's the vibe I get.
- 58:45Speaker 3: Well, now gold One is not animated though it is.
- 58:48Speaker 1: Not that is it's live action. You are correct. I
- 58:52Speaker 1: I don't know. For some reason, I thought that was animated.
- 58:54Speaker 1: I mean, obviously there's a lot of.
- 58:56Speaker 2: CGI, but yeah, the Polarberry is animated, so it counts.
- 59:02Speaker 1: Right, And for whatever reason, that's the vibes I get
- 59:05Speaker 1: from that one, So I dig it.
- 59:07Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what I see.
- 59:09Speaker 1: That what I dig all right.
- 59:11Speaker 2: The next question from M. Tross is what would you
- 59:15Speaker 2: want to see done for the next tumult event prizing
- 59:18Speaker 2: story lower connections.
- 59:21Speaker 1: I think what would be cool? Maybe not, I don't
- 59:24Speaker 1: know if it necessarily Well, okay, tim Olt, fine, I
- 59:28Speaker 1: mean they have in they have already kind of done
- 59:33Speaker 1: something where the tim Olts have effect on the storyline.
- 59:38Speaker 1: So I guess I guess they've kind of already done
- 59:40Speaker 1: what I like. I like when the players have an
- 59:43Speaker 1: effect on the storyline, right, But I would like it
- 59:52Speaker 1: to be less meta driven, and I don't know how
- 59:55Speaker 1: you do that. I also think events mm events where
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: one hero and this would probably have to be more
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: like local events, like we're playing Artist has broken out
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: into a civil war. You need to bring your orders
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: deck this week to see which of the three factions Wauru,
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: Sigismar or Gulerang, which which one is going to which
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: one's going to prevail, trying to overthrow the Senate whatever,
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: you know, stuff like that. We're like, you know, you
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: all pretty much have the same card pool, and who
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: are you representing? It kind of gets dice. I think
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: they do good wise.
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: I really like the prize packs they have right now,
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: but maybe just adding some like different prize packs, just
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: shake it up a little bit, Like I know, for
- 1:01:04Speaker 4: the about them, the big tournaments that qualify you. In Dallas,
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: there's like Hero packs. I'm really interested to see what
- 1:01:12Speaker 4: those are.
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: Yeah, I'd like to maybe.
- 1:01:16Speaker 4: See those at the locals too.
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: I think this is an area that Altered actually like
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: really fucking crushes it because my other example is always
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: Star Wars Unlimited, but they're prizing and special cards kind
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: of suck, and Altered always has really good promo cards,
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: really good rewards for events. Honestly, it may feel like
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: kind of a cop out, but I just want to
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: see more people at the events, especially in tech in Texas.
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: Austin seems to be doing really well lately, but it's
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: been a little rough around Dallas and Houston, which is
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: wild because there's so many of us, but being spread
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: out is also kind of what hurts I guess, but
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: don't be afraid to go out and play. It's definitely
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: worth it.
- 1:02:19Speaker 4: Yeah, I've not been really helping on that aspect. I
- 1:02:22Speaker 4: haven't gone to locals in a while just because life, but.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: It is what it is way to suck that I really.
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: Would like to go to locals more. But another reason
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: that kind of keeps me from going to them is
- 1:02:33Speaker 4: being like, there's only like five other people there. Eh,
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: but if we had like ten plus, that would be
- 1:02:40Speaker 4: a lot more interested in going to locals often.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: Well, you got to come to let people know more
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: people are coming.
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, or or like the Kiakomi style thing. I
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: think really the best way to actually have the spirit
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: of the tumult is to I don't know, I feel
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: like people just care about getting first place and getting
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: that playmat, So I'm not really sure there is anything
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: you can do to change it. I just wish people
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: engaged more with the spirit of what the tumults are.
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: And I know a lot of people were disappointed that
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: artist and yusmir one, but there were also a lot
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: of people that brought those decks just so they could win. Yeah,
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: so maybe if they switch it to like top eight,
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: it's the points gets like one point or something or
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: has a like sat amount of points like first obviously
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: gets the most points, second and it goes down from there.
- 1:03:54Speaker 4: The other out incentivize other other factions.
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: Yeah, the other the other way, of course, would just
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: be one point er deck of that faction that shows
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: up and that that could be another cool way because yeah,
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: I but they always do really well. So I'm looking
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: forward to the next ones and the w c q's
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: should be really interesting as well.
- 1:04:23Speaker 4: The seeing them. Yes, that's in Dallas, which we're playing
- 1:04:31Speaker 4: in it.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: Yeah, Cole is playing in it.
- 1:04:34Speaker 4: Yes, yes, I am playing.
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: If if for some reason I don't get asked to judge,
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: I put I made a call, Okay, you called.
- 1:04:47Speaker 4: I think for tumults it could be good to do
- 1:04:49Speaker 4: uh draft or sealed as well. That's kind of they
- 1:04:53Speaker 4: kind of did only constructed, which I think adding the
- 1:04:56Speaker 4: others in mixing it up could be interesting.
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: Well, you know, I think especially for these championship qualifiers,
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: Like I don't know, I've always thought Magic, believe it
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: or not, I'm actually going to give Magic a a
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: kind of a compliment here. I guess they've always done
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: a good job in and they don't really. I guess
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: there's only what it's really only well what you got.
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: You have sealed, you have constructed, and you have limited, right,
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: I guess is the way of putting it and altered
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: because you have the like you have like this and TV.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: Was that an official format? Yeah? Two two is official. Yep,
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: that's that's Those two are little dodgy. But if you
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: had to be you got to be proficient in all
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: of Magic's formats, right, you have to be proficient and modern,
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: you have to be proficient in standard, and you have
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: to be proficients in draft, and I really like that.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: Where like to be the best, you have to be
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: proficient in all of those formats. You can't you can't
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: get to you know, world Championship unless you are proficient
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: and everything. I dig that. I think that's super important
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: because like somebody can be really good, I mean any
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: game I've ever played. You know, some people are really
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: good at sealed, some people are really good at constructed,
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: some people are really good in you know, other formats.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: You got to be proficient all of them, which I
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: would like to see them adopt. You know, you would
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: have like you're limited, which would be your get six
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: packs and build, you have your draft, which is, you know,
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: obviously your traditional draft, and then you would have your constructed.
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: Maybe that's not put in at the qualified well, no,
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: I think maybe that should be the qualify. Well maybe not.
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: I don't know with how they got it going on
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: too because dragon an there, I'm sorry, not dragon Con.
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: They're going to quit con. They might not have the
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: time to do all of that though. That's a very
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: long and grueling process. But maybe maybe for World with
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: you though, Yeah, that's that's one thing I would I think.
- 1:07:13Speaker 4: I think different formats and having to do well and
- 1:07:16Speaker 4: all of them is good, right, I.
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: Think that's all. Those are all different events though, I think.
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: They're all different events. But I think for the end,
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: all be all like the the you know, if you
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: want to be the champion, if you want to be
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: the very best like no one ever was, you know,
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: and train to do is the real test, right, Like
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: you need to be proficient in all of those. But
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: that's me.
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: All right. Next question from m trust still best rata
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: so far the health of the game Robin Hood hands down?
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: Really you think Robin Hood's still be.
- 1:07:53Speaker 4: Robin Hood was way more important after the robin Hood nerve,
- 1:07:57Speaker 4: Wauru was not top at eighty like everything like. It
- 1:08:02Speaker 4: was still like probably like two to three of the
- 1:08:04Speaker 4: top eight slots per event, but it wasn't like it
- 1:08:07Speaker 4: was like six or seven of them all.
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: Right, man.
- 1:08:11Speaker 4: After the robin Boring, it was fine.
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: Tournaments were literally six out of eight places where Wario.
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: The meta was not in a good place. And ever
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: since robin Hood, even if you kick out all the
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: other changes they've made, the game would be amazing. Since
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: robin Hood.
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: Change, I'm not mad at I liked the.
- 1:08:40Speaker 4: I've liked a lot of the suspensions and stuff they've done.
- 1:08:42Speaker 4: Ozma and Bobby Yaga taking away card draw from Siggy
- 1:08:46Speaker 4: is good. And then I also really liked the small
- 1:08:49Speaker 4: step change, so small step is not as oppressive anymore.
- 1:08:54Speaker 4: Those are my favorites. I didn't like the robin Hood
- 1:08:56Speaker 4: one personally, just because you know, I was playing water,
- 1:09:00Speaker 4: but you know.
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: Small Step was also good and refreshing, but definitely robin
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: Hood hands down. And it's also the one that people
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: blew up the most about, so that's how you know
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: it's good.
- 1:09:17Speaker 4: Yeah, yep, yep, yep.
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: Most often forgotten rule when playing in person. I can
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: give you.
- 1:09:26Speaker 4: Putting on fleeting counters.
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: That one is. That one is up there, but the
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: one that I would say is actually the most forgotten.
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: And the reason it's forgotten is because in organized play
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: and just for fun it's not super important. But if
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: you will get used to this and you're planning on
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: going to a competitive event, you do not man until
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: the first player has manned. So yeah, you you take
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: turns manning, And I would say technically that is the
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: most forgotten rule when playing in person.
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: Huh.
- 1:10:13Speaker 4: Yeah, everyone just does it at the same time, whenever
- 1:10:16Speaker 4: you want, whenever you decide it, but it is the
- 1:10:19Speaker 4: second players. The second player gets to know whether the
- 1:10:23Speaker 4: first player man it or not before they choose.
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: Yep.
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: Can I tell you the most different?
- 1:10:29Speaker 4: It's kind of like that again at the beginning thing, right.
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: Yeah, can I tell you the most I think that
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: drives me nuts the most when playing and maybe this
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: is just playing with Dexter, not sure so that without
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: having the little like barriers around things, you know, like
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: these are my this is where my reserve is, this
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: is where my permanence are and all that, like BGA
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: has I, sometimes it's very difficult to track, What the what? What?
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: What is what?
- 1:11:05Speaker 4: Like? Where your landmarks zones on it?
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: And maybe it was just how you play it, but
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: I'm like, what the hell are those cards down there?
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: You're like, those are my reserves? And I was like,
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: what the hell are those cards down there? You're like
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: that's my landmark and I'm like, are you sure? I
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: don't know what's going on here? I'm lost. Maybe you're
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: just a sloppy player too, because they were kind of
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: all over the place. But yeah, a little bit, I
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: might need to buy an actual altered mat because having
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: without those little productions was a little crazy.
- 1:11:41Speaker 2: Yeah. I do not use or whatever want to have
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: any Matt that does not have the little cutouts. I
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: love my little boxes, and it actually does sometimes become
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: a problem when people use a Matt that doesn't have
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: those designations.
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: I could definitely see that.
- 1:12:06Speaker 2: It can be like, wait, is that your reserve? Is
- 1:12:09Speaker 2: that your discard? Like what's going on here?
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: Yeah? No, I could definitely see that because that was
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: me and Dexter were just playing on a normal Matt
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: and I was like, wait, what are those? What's that? Wait?
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: What are them? So it was kind of like constantly
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: trying to keep track of all where all his junk was.
- 1:12:28Speaker 4: But there are are a lot of different zones.
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: There are a lot of zones.
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: As doom Bringer and Dexter said, fleeting and forgetting to
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: put on fleeting is another huge one. But for me,
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: it's the what is important when you are the first player.
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: I think a lot of people don't know. And that's
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: one of the good rules that you can make sure
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: you buff up on before a competitive event, because it's
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: not only man, it's it's a couple other things.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: Leaning I think it's the big one, because.
- 1:13:09Speaker 2: What are you laughing about, Dexter.
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: You and I never used.
- 1:13:12Speaker 4: A Yes we did, we did. I'm laughing at Doombringers
- 1:13:18Speaker 4: saying that he only forgets to mana after the first
- 1:13:20Speaker 4: player every other turn, because you know, every other turn
- 1:13:23Speaker 4: you are the first player.
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: Yeah, contrary to what Dexter is saying, we never used
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: a fleeting token in any of the games we've played.
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: I hate to tell you, Dexter, we didn't.
- 1:13:37Speaker 4: Yes, we did, Wookie, No, we didn't.
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: We definitely never.
- 1:13:41Speaker 4: We just played them and then we're like, this one
- 1:13:43Speaker 4: had fleeting on it and then you put it to discard.
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: Yeah, that's exactly what happened.
- 1:13:47Speaker 4: We did that a few times.
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: More than a few times. It was like, oh yeah, yeah,
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: this one needs to go to the discard pile. Now
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: I have done that one, because that's like, that's the
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: thing that like the computer does for you that like
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: in person, there's no computer.
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: Yep. This next question is one we've kind of already
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: answered still from m trust on Reddit. But favorite character
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: from a story or a lower perspective if I'm doing
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: it specifically based off of the lower perspective and not
- 1:14:27Speaker 2: any mechanics. Oh man, yeah, that's hard. Honestly, probably a
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: Roc Penguin. Yeah, Meg Penn Horder.
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: I still still love the penguin. Yes, I think the
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: Horder wins in most situations only because you never know
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: what he has. Yeah, you never know what's behind door.
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: You never know what's behind door. B It could be anything,
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: even a vote. If you get that reference, you're old.
- 1:15:07Speaker 4: I don't know. I don't know enough Lord to have
- 1:15:10Speaker 4: a good answer to this.
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: We go through Laura weekly Are you even here? Are
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: you sure?
- 1:15:17Speaker 4: It says character? Though I liked Garrick's lore.
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: So garrickter it is. I don't know why that was
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: such A. I don't know. That was such a difficult
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: question for you to answer. You're not even here.
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: I'll let them go first. Thoughts on huh they flash
- 1:15:44Speaker 2: health of the marketplace?
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: Is there a problem?
- 1:15:49Speaker 4: Uniques are still way too overpriced. All commons and rares
- 1:15:53Speaker 4: are great. It is, in my opinion, kind of a
- 1:15:56Speaker 4: bit of a pain to get them printed once you
- 1:15:59Speaker 4: buy them. But if you are doing it just from
- 1:16:01Speaker 4: a digital place, getting all the cards you need is great.
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: I will say printing is the most difficult thing because
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: it's like ooh, because I want them sent to a
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: game store, and it's like, oh, who do I send
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: mind to? The answers answers I don't know.
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: Hopefully they get up and going on that for two
- 1:16:29Speaker 2: very long because I know a lot of people want
- 1:16:32Speaker 2: the LGS option. I am a die hard uh fan
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: of the Marketplace. I've said it many times that there's
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: not another TCG that has anything like it. While yes
- 1:16:52Speaker 2: there are some features that we would enjoy, like some
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: more options in the filter and sorting, it's amazing how
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: it is and so I love it. I think it
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: also does exactly what I told people it would, and
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: it kind of regulates itself a little bit like the
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: Wow marketplace does. When cards first come out and there's
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: limited quantity, they're a little higher in price. As more
- 1:17:25Speaker 2: people get them, they go down in price. If they
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: become a lot more meta relevant, they go up a little,
- 1:17:34Speaker 2: but still not anything crazy.
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: Is there still the price cap on them?
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: I think so, but I don't even. I don't even
- 1:17:44Speaker 2: look around that.
- 1:17:45Speaker 4: It doesn't matter to me. It's not like people are
- 1:17:47Speaker 4: actually going out and buying two hundred and fifty dollars uniques.
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: Well, you know, if I was gonna buyers fifty depends
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: on the horder.
- 1:18:00Speaker 4: Is that no.
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: Unique is worth over thirty dollars?
- 1:18:05Speaker 4: Yes, so I don't I would say it, don't even.
- 1:18:08Speaker 2: But yes, there are very very few outliers where technically
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: it could be worth you know, fifty one hundred, but
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: I think those are stupid to purchase because they might
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: get knocked down. And also I it don't spend it
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: or whatever, believe that they give you enough of an
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: advantage to be worth that much money. So I don't
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: look at anything above thirty dollars. So h same here,
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: all right. I love it. They're working on more stuff.
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: It's great. It's better than TCG player or whatever. By far,
- 1:18:58Speaker 2: I started to build like a collection on TCG player.
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: And if that is like the you know number one,
- 1:19:08Speaker 2: the big Shining Star, that website is not good either,
- 1:19:14Speaker 2: if you want to like really say that, the marketplace
- 1:19:17Speaker 2: you know is not good. But anyways, we're almost there.
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: We are now moving into discord questions. This one would
- 1:19:34Speaker 2: you rather fight ten spike sized our Junes or one
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: our June sized spike?
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: I don't know this question.
- 1:19:45Speaker 4: It's got to be ten spike sized our Junes. I
- 1:19:48Speaker 4: don't want a massive cactus in my face. That seems scary.
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: But now you have ten.
- 1:19:56Speaker 4: Ten ten little men. Who cares. He's just an old guy.
- 1:20:04Speaker 2: I don't know they they are not an old guy.
- 1:20:08Speaker 4: Seems kind of old.
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: Nah, you have to remember everything seems kind of old
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: to Dexter. He's like nineteen years old.
- 1:20:18Speaker 4: Yeah, he looks like uh.
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: Argine is also not a heat.
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: It's not arg is.
- 1:20:31Speaker 4: Don't pay attention to these things.
- 1:20:32Speaker 2: Yeah, Texas brain, I'm I'm going for the one argent
- 1:20:39Speaker 2: sized spike and I'm becoming friends. I'm not fighting.
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: That's not an option. What it says you have to fight,
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: it says you have to fight, says would you rather?
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: It doesn't say gut into my head, I have to fight.
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: Yes, it says would you rather fight? That's literally the
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: next let the next word.
- 1:21:01Speaker 4: You might have to fight. You can't make peace with everyone.
- 1:21:06Speaker 2: I'm I'm winning one argun sized spike in an arm wrestle,
- 1:21:12Speaker 2: and then I am hopping on spikes back and we're
- 1:21:15Speaker 2: going to the White House and we're destroying it together.
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: Oh okay, well is the king of non answers. I swear.
- 1:21:27Speaker 2: I just answered.
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: That's not an answer, all right.
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: Last couple of questions here are from Loki knocks. First
- 1:21:37Speaker 2: one is if you could have a card as a
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: co caster, who would you pick.
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: Anyone? Huh oh? Well, first thing that comes to my
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: penguin right, like he has just a plethora of knowledge.
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: I love the penguin.
- 1:22:08Speaker 2: Man.
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: I'd like a few things.
- 1:22:10Speaker 4: Like.
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: The first thing that popped into my head was the hunger, right.
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: I don't know why I'm weird like that, the hunger? Yeah,
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: what what does the hunger have to say? It could
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: be interesting. Novenka also pops to mind. M I know,
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: I know Cole is going to say, tiny gin.
- 1:22:37Speaker 4: That's not a character. That's a hero.
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: Can we is it just character?
- 1:22:41Speaker 2: It's not.
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: It says any card if you get have a card
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: as a co caster. Yeah, that's a card card car.
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: I'd like to have the Uh never mind, I was
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: gonna say, I would like to have the Adventure Board
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: as my coe caster.
- 1:22:58Speaker 2: Uh. No, I'm not picking because Kiney Jane doesn't speak English.
- 1:23:07Speaker 2: He wouldn't be good as a co caster.
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: Something tells me you'd understand and be able to translate.
- 1:23:13Speaker 2: I mean true, but also I would need to get
- 1:23:18Speaker 2: fire insurance and I don't have that much money. I
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: am answering this based off of who I think would
- 1:23:26Speaker 2: be a very dope co caster, and I'm picking either
- 1:23:31Speaker 2: Santa or.
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: What about the YETI?
- 1:23:39Speaker 2: I thought about the Yeddie too, but also I think
- 1:23:44Speaker 2: the Yeddie and I are friends. I'm not sure he's
- 1:23:48Speaker 2: quite interested in.
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: The YI and I are definitely friends on a podcast.
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: Yis Wookies were like soulmates or something almost the just
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: once from a galaxy far from away, far far away.
- 1:24:05Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:24:05Speaker 2: My other pick is Theseus because he just looks like
- 1:24:09Speaker 2: freaking hot, badass dude and uh the alt art. He
- 1:24:16Speaker 2: also seems like a lot of fun.
- 1:24:18Speaker 4: So, yeah, THESS is cool.
- 1:24:23Speaker 2: Dexter uh, doom Bringer, I said, a manaflair, okay, is
- 1:24:34Speaker 2: like a freaking lightning bolt or something. I mean, I
- 1:24:40Speaker 2: guess it's a flair, right, it is a card?
- 1:24:42Speaker 4: Saul, all right, I don't know how that would speak
- 1:24:47Speaker 4: to you.
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: I don't either, but I will have to figure it out. Right,
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: Maybe it'd be like Morris Coders. All right, what's the
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: next next question?
- 1:24:57Speaker 2: So these last three are all from Loki Knocks. Any
- 1:25:02Speaker 2: people from the community you could see on a card
- 1:25:06Speaker 2: and what would they do?
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: Well, I'd like to see me on a card.
- 1:25:10Speaker 4: I mean, Loki's already on a card, right.
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: Yeah, that's that's what it is. But that's one of
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: what's one of the awesome ability is to of having
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: your own game. You can put yourself in it. Right,
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: I'd like to see the Wookie on a card. I
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: don't know what I did. What you do? I have
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: no idea, not even a clue.
- 1:25:39Speaker 2: I've technically already been on a card.
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: So how's that.
- 1:25:47Speaker 2: Citrus Frog made me a.
- 1:25:49Speaker 4: Citrus Frogs card?
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: That is true?
- 1:25:52Speaker 4: That is true?
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, does that count? I don't think that counts.
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: It's not official, of course it cards.
- 1:26:00Speaker 4: It's a.
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: Question if coal were a card. Well, I think the
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: real answer like should come from from outside in like
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: you can't give yourself an ability. So if coal were
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: a card, right, like, coal would definitely do something like
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: Coal would definitely do something like with the with plants, right,
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: he would he would like when he enters play, ah,
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: give one boost to all plants in both expeditions.
- 1:26:37Speaker 4: In play, all other plants that you play cost one less.
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: There, that's a that's a good one because he loves plants. Yeah,
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: that's a good one for coal. And then let's see.
- 1:26:53Speaker 2: Think it would have to be animals though instead of plants.
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: Animals instead of plants.
- 1:27:00Speaker 2: Yeah, because we already have o gun. We're really good
- 1:27:05Speaker 2: with the plant boosts.
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: Well, there could be more than one.
- 1:27:11Speaker 2: That's okay, But I want more animal support because so
- 1:27:15Speaker 2: far are On is the only one.
- 1:27:18Speaker 6: And but animals, you're not an animal, You're definitely You're
- 1:27:23Speaker 6: definitely a plant person.
- 1:27:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I hate animals.
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: Nobody said to you. Nobody said you hate animals, but
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: we just know how much you like plants. That's that's
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: not a.
- 1:27:36Speaker 2: I I hate all of my rescue animals in my house.
- 1:27:41Speaker 2: Now I eat so many cows.
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: All right, we got okay, we gotta write, write something
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: for Dexter. Now what is that I'm trying to get
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: Dexter vibes?
- 1:27:59Speaker 2: I want Dexter to be an artist, because that's where
- 1:28:03Speaker 2: he started. I can agree, Yes, an ortis uh, what's
- 1:28:10Speaker 2: the word? Kind of like health inspector, but not. We
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: can just call him an artist like ra a and
- 1:28:19Speaker 2: he gets to look at one card in your hand
- 1:28:23Speaker 2: randomly to see what it is.
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: I can get buying that from anywhere, from anywhere, from
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: any what do you mean from anywhere?
- 1:28:37Speaker 2: His car.
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: When it comes from any Okay, yeah, okay. I was like,
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: there's only one hand. Everything else is kind of common knowledge.
- 1:28:46Speaker 2: And the Wookie is actually just like a DJ or
- 1:28:54Speaker 2: a caster or a singer in Lyra.
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: And I do love Karaoki.
- 1:29:03Speaker 2: All artists one boost upon play, so from anywhere?
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: Nice? All right? What do we got next?
- 1:29:16Speaker 2: Any countries that play where you would want to judge?
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: I think this is a weird story. I think that
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: questions directed just at you. I don't know, I don't
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: know why I got that vibe, but I'm pretty sure
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: that wasn't that wasn't pointed at myself or Dexter.
- 1:29:38Speaker 4: Yeah, probably just still there.
- 1:29:41Speaker 2: Honestly, my philosophy is I will go anywhere as long
- 1:29:49Speaker 2: as they'll have me. I I wish that the matter.
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: Who wouldn't have you, who's gonna be like Cole Robbie
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: turn them away?
- 1:30:00Speaker 2: You never know. There's people who don't like me wow,
- 1:30:03Speaker 2: which is fine. There's people who can't get down with
- 1:30:07Speaker 2: my sense of humor or I'm not afraid to tell
- 1:30:13Speaker 2: people off if they're being dickwads. So I've made at
- 1:30:18Speaker 2: least two people mad in the discord.
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: So nice, you're criesing chaos, man, I'm gonna need you
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: to comment down. Yeah, bring it down.
- 1:30:29Speaker 4: So I wish we liked that here. I thought we
- 1:30:31Speaker 4: were the bad boys of Altered.
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: We are the I don't know how again. The self
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: anointed name that we've given ourselves just as ridiculous.
- 1:30:43Speaker 2: Yeah. The hard part is I wish the thing wasn't
- 1:30:48Speaker 2: what it is, but it's really. If anyone is willing
- 1:30:52Speaker 2: to pay me and get me out there, I will
- 1:30:54Speaker 2: do it. Yeah. If for some reason money is no
- 1:31:01Speaker 2: longer an obstacle, then you know, I'll just do whatever
- 1:31:07Speaker 2: I can I have a philosophy that basically anywhere in
- 1:31:14Speaker 2: the world has something interesting to offer. I don't really
- 1:31:21Speaker 2: dislike places, except for I'll never ever go back to Albuquerque,
- 1:31:26Speaker 2: New Mexico. So I'm sorry, uh if you live in Albuquerque,
- 1:31:31Speaker 2: but that's like me.
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: I'll never go back to Iowa never.
- 1:31:37Speaker 2: I like exploring. I like traveling. Of course. I would
- 1:31:42Speaker 2: love to go to Paris. My an stress. My ancestry
- 1:31:48Speaker 2: is very French and French Canadian, uh, and I would
- 1:31:53Speaker 2: it would be dope to go to the Equinox office,
- 1:31:56Speaker 2: So that would be dope. Dexter might actually be judging
- 1:32:01Speaker 2: in Indiana, though, so he'll get uh to judge.
- 1:32:08Speaker 4: Mm hmm, that's the plan.
- 1:32:10Speaker 2: Where? Uh? Where? Where would you really want to go
- 1:32:16Speaker 2: after India? Me?
- 1:32:18Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't care if you pay for I'm happy anywhere.
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: But if you could pick a place, where would you pick?
- 1:32:30Speaker 4: I legitimately could not care less. I don't like traveling
- 1:32:34Speaker 4: in general, and I don't really care about like seeing
- 1:32:37Speaker 4: sights or anything. It wouldn't make any difference to me.
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: Traveling is kind of cool. The one thing I've learned
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: about traveling is the more things change, the more they
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: stay the same, Right, Like, everybody's got a target somewhere
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: close to a Walmart, you know that's like, yeah, next
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: next to their version of whatever grocery store they hang
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: out in, right, But like I don't know, Like, Okay,
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: So we go to Minnesota every year. I've been to Indiana.
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: I've been to a lot of places, and there's a
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: lot of cool stuff to see no matter where you go.
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: I've been to a.
- 1:33:15Speaker 4: Lot of places too. I've been probably on thousands of
- 1:33:19Speaker 4: hours of road trips with my family, up and down
- 1:33:24Speaker 4: all around, so I've seen sights. Doesn't particularly interest me.
- 1:33:31Speaker 2: Yeah, but you ever stayed in a corn house?
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: No?
- 1:33:35Speaker 4: No, I haven't seen one of those.
- 1:33:37Speaker 2: You've still got something left to live for, Man, don't.
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: Yourself that could be I do have.
- 1:33:47Speaker 2: I do have a lawyer if we think we have time, But.
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: Where we are, we're an hour and a half.
- 1:33:54Speaker 2: That was That was the last Yeah, that was the
- 1:33:57Speaker 2: last one.
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: All right, I'm gonna ask Schuberger's question. So, uh got
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: a quick question about judging, Not that I'm actually want to,
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: but I'm a little curious about my rules knowledge. So
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: I was wondering how to test to become a judge.
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: Is that testing still around.
- 1:34:21Speaker 2: I think it's still life. I would do the example
- 1:34:27Speaker 2: test that they put out or quays. It's more of
- 1:34:30Speaker 2: a quaz and I am going to make one and
- 1:34:35Speaker 2: I will share it in Altered Corner just for funsies.
- 1:34:40Speaker 2: I don't know if they are going to share it
- 1:34:43Speaker 2: at wide, but someone in the Dutch community made a
- 1:34:53Speaker 2: pretty extensive judge test that you could do. That one
- 1:35:02Speaker 2: they have to grade in the current version, so I'm
- 1:35:07Speaker 2: not sure that that will be out in the public,
- 1:35:11Speaker 2: but the intention is to make a quiz that will
- 1:35:16Speaker 2: grade itself like the one that Altered already put out
- 1:35:22Speaker 2: down the road. They will probably have more structure And
- 1:35:28Speaker 2: a lot of judge programs have like levels of being
- 1:35:32Speaker 2: a judge. So to get my apprentice certification for Star Wars,
- 1:35:38Speaker 2: I had to pass a test and then to get
- 1:35:42Speaker 2: Level one you have to pass another test and also
- 1:35:46Speaker 2: have judged floor, judged an event, and get a recommendation
- 1:35:51Speaker 2: from an LGS. So those are some of the similar
- 1:35:55Speaker 2: things that some programs do.
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: Interesting. Interesting, But I think that's where I'm gonna cut
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: it off for this week. We'll go through who are we?
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: Yeah not this week. I still got so I don't
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: have wife or children, so I have to feed myself.
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: So I still have to like go make dinner because
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: it's not done because I'm alone, and that's scary. Not really,
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: I'll be all right, just leave the light on for me.
- 1:36:33Speaker 2: Made it through all of the questions and we made
- 1:36:35Speaker 2: pretty good time. Yeah, I mean we are at a
- 1:36:38Speaker 2: lengthy episode, so.
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: And that's okay. But we want to thank everybody for listening,
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: Thank you for coming out everybody in the live chat.
