- 0:08Speaker 2: We're all right. It's nice and clear. And where are you.
- 0:12Speaker 1: We're in Osaka, which is where we're headquartered. We have
- 0:15Speaker 1: been for the past couple of days and tomorrow as well,
- 0:18Speaker 1: and then we head into Tokyo.
- 0:20Speaker 2: And how long will you be in How long will
- 0:22Speaker 2: you be in Tokyo?
- 0:23Speaker 1: We'll be in Tokyo for the rest of the trip.
- 0:27Speaker 3: May you fly home from Tokyo?
- 0:29Speaker 1: So we'll fly home from Tokyo. Us stories, Well, I
- 0:34Speaker 1: don't know what pictures Katie got.
- 0:37Speaker 2: So I have I got eight or nine photos because.
- 0:41Speaker 1: We've been we've been having some intermittent issues getting things in.
- 0:48Speaker 1: My phone doesn't like anyone, and Sue's phone kind of
- 0:52Speaker 1: likes people sometimes. And yeah, it just all depends on
- 0:55Speaker 1: So what.
- 0:56Speaker 4: Do you have? Well, I have Apparently the Japanese teach
- 1:00Speaker 4: their kids to trust the police.
- 1:02Speaker 2: We don't see any of this.
- 1:03Speaker 4: These are all sent straight to me, and we'll have
- 1:06Speaker 4: h Carrie wondering how drunk he'll be after the tour.
- 1:10Speaker 2: I've got many.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Oh, does the TriCaster have any of those?
- 1:15Speaker 3: Ye? She's going to tell them which one to put up,
- 1:18Speaker 3: Which one to put Which one would you like put up?
- 1:21Speaker 1: Carrie? Okay, yeah, don't worry about the kids trusting the
- 1:24Speaker 1: cops thing. Do you have any from the distillery?
- 1:27Speaker 2: We should there we go.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Today.
- 1:32Speaker 2: We have the one that looks down on the bar.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Is that a still or a bar?
- 1:37Speaker 1: Or that is that is a tasting room shape? Leg
- 1:41Speaker 1: is still? Yeah, and that is the Yamazaki Centuri Yamazaki
- 1:45Speaker 1: Whiskey Distillery. Now, in order to take the tour, and
- 1:49Speaker 1: Jimmy would probably be a little bit jealous of this,
- 1:52Speaker 1: you have to submit and it's a raffle essentially, and
- 1:56Speaker 1: so we were able to get four in.
- 1:58Speaker 4: So we actually all put in for the lottery, and
- 2:03Speaker 4: so all of us Asians put in for it denied.
- 2:08Speaker 4: But then Carrie Jackson he got accepted.
- 2:15Speaker 5: I am the white guy. It was because they knew
- 2:18Speaker 5: you were on radio from.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Hell that exactly I know who I am. No, I
- 2:22Speaker 1: think it's I think it's the whole Irish thing for
- 2:24Speaker 1: some reason over here when they find out that I'm Irish.
- 2:28Speaker 1: This happened back in in in Korea. It was like, oh,
- 2:32Speaker 1: we've got an irishman in the house. Quickly send him
- 2:34Speaker 1: some whiskey. Maybe maybe he'll do some tricks or something.
- 2:40Speaker 2: He can dance a jig.
- 2:42Speaker 1: But that is the that is the distillery plant there
- 2:45Speaker 1: from uh, and it's just amazing the whiskey. So we're
- 2:48Speaker 1: able to go through see how they make the whiskey.
- 2:51Speaker 1: I don't know if you have any of those pictures.
- 2:53Speaker 2: We should have the barrel the barrel photo.
- 2:56Speaker 1: You have the barrels there, Uh, this gigantic groom full
- 3:00Speaker 1: of barrels of aging whiskey. And it's it's strange because
- 3:05Speaker 1: when you walk in this room, you get the alcohol
- 3:11Speaker 1: smell and feel and I say feel because it went
- 3:14Speaker 1: right to my eyes.
- 3:16Speaker 2: I can see that.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Yeah, from the evaporating whiskey in the barrels. You know
- 3:22Speaker 1: how it ages when it evaporates, and you get the
- 3:24Speaker 1: what's it called the angels?
- 3:25Speaker 2: The angel the angels, Yeah, the angel.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Ski our tour guide was very impressed with so that
- 3:32Speaker 1: she knew what that was.
- 3:35Speaker 4: But it's a different kind of alcohol than you know,
- 3:38Speaker 4: like walking into a liquor store. It's not that kind
- 3:42Speaker 4: of alcohol smell.
- 3:43Speaker 1: It's no, it's a different it's a different kind of
- 3:45Speaker 1: that's the smell of that's the smell of me spilling
- 3:48Speaker 1: it on the floor mats. This is completely different. This
- 3:50Speaker 1: was like I said it was, It was almost kind
- 3:52Speaker 1: of toxic. It was really making my eyes water. But
- 3:55Speaker 1: then then they took us down for a tasting and
- 3:58Speaker 1: we got to try twelve different types of the Yamazaki,
- 4:02Speaker 1: different ages that would get.
- 4:03Speaker 2: You kind of hammered in the long run, wouldn't.
- 4:06Speaker 4: It twelve different.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Twelve? Yeah? It was like it was like five uh
- 4:13Speaker 1: four across one up. Yeah, so five of them. And
- 4:16Speaker 1: then then they said you can buy whatever you want,
- 4:18Speaker 1: and so I picked up some bottles of stuff that
- 4:21Speaker 1: they only sell there and that they only sell here
- 4:25Speaker 1: in Japan, And so I'm excited.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Can you legally bring that in? Yes?
- 4:30Speaker 1: I can't, that was one of the questions we had.
- 4:33Speaker 1: But so so I'm gonna be bringing that home. And
- 4:36Speaker 1: is Jimmy around to see listening.
- 4:37Speaker 3: He's in Scotland.
- 4:40Speaker 1: In Scotland, that's perfect then, because I got him a
- 4:42Speaker 1: special bottle. I'm gonna gift it to him when you
- 4:46Speaker 1: see him next time, because he's done so much for us.
- 4:49Speaker 1: But that wasn't That was an amazing little trip. But
- 4:51Speaker 1: ever since then, we've just been mostly walking around trying food,
- 4:56Speaker 1: and it's amazing because it's like every fifty feet there's
- 5:02Speaker 1: there's a place to get something to eat, and it's
- 5:05Speaker 1: all it's all incredible food. You just can't go wrong,
- 5:10Speaker 1: just amazing stuff, like.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Well everything.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, there's there's street foods that you'll have like
- 5:18Speaker 1: three street foods.
- 5:19Speaker 2: This is not a restaurant.
- 5:20Speaker 4: But the weird thing is is that there's street food,
- 5:23Speaker 4: but they don't want you to eat on the street.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Yeah, don't eat on the street.
- 5:28Speaker 6: You're supposed to if there are some places that will
- 5:35Speaker 6: allow you to eat it within their store or their
- 5:39Speaker 6: little section.
- 5:42Speaker 4: Yesterday, when we were trying to kill time before the tour,
- 5:46Speaker 4: we went to a grocery store and I got a
- 5:48Speaker 4: little something to eat, and there was a security guard
- 5:51Speaker 4: in the parking lot that saw that I bought food,
- 5:53Speaker 4: and he stuffled me off to the side of the
- 5:57Speaker 4: grocery store in the alleyway and found me a milk
- 6:02Speaker 4: carton with a cardboard box on top of it and
- 6:05Speaker 4: made me sit away from the public to eat it
- 6:10Speaker 4: so that no one could see that. Women eat too.
- 6:14Speaker 5: You don't want to, don't want that shame, you know,
- 6:17Speaker 5: I kind of I kind of agree with that. I
- 6:19Speaker 5: don't want to see women eating food.
- 6:21Speaker 3: Men are okay women eating food.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Well, because I was as as the as the stupid American,
- 6:26Speaker 1: I was able to walk around with the grapes that
- 6:28Speaker 1: I bought and it was just eating them, you know,
- 6:30Speaker 1: walking around exactly exactly. Maybe he'll do a trick if
- 6:35Speaker 1: she sent him some whiskey. But yeah, that was I'm
- 6:39Speaker 1: still laughing about that.
- 6:40Speaker 2: That was.
- 6:41Speaker 1: That was Sue's family that was doing that. Cousin and
- 6:45Speaker 1: her brother. They found out I was Irish, and and
- 6:48Speaker 1: they they just started saying, oh, we have whiskey. Your
- 6:52Speaker 1: cousins started cousins started telling the story about this this
- 6:56Speaker 1: bottle of mccollans I have. I keep it in my
- 6:59Speaker 1: room and U I only have just a little bit
- 7:02Speaker 1: just before I go to bed, and it's for and
- 7:05Speaker 1: also for special occasions like when an irishman is in
- 7:08Speaker 1: our house.
- 7:10Speaker 3: Thank you for being my special occasion.
- 7:14Speaker 1: What are you doing today, Well, we're going to bed
- 7:17Speaker 1: right now. It's you know, time travel, and then tomorrow
- 7:20Speaker 1: is kind of an open day. We're just gonna just
- 7:23Speaker 1: kind of float around a bit, but then we get
- 7:25Speaker 1: on and then we check out of the Airbnb, we
- 7:26Speaker 1: get on the plane, we fly to Tokyo, and in
- 7:29Speaker 1: Tokyo we're gonna be We're going to Ginza. We're gonna
- 7:32Speaker 1: be staying in Ginza for a day or so, and
- 7:34Speaker 1: then Tokyo and uh and I'll have Disney Tokyo, Disney
- 7:38Speaker 1: and DC and all that. I'll have Mortar Reporter as
- 7:42Speaker 1: we go along. Now, how's the how's the ticket sales

- 8:17Speaker 1: word Saturday, without those words Saturdays for your.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Yeah, but we can't say that.
- 8:22Speaker 1: You can't say that.
- 8:22Speaker 5: No, legally, I didn't say that. As a matter of fact,
- 8:26Speaker 5: we're in trouble because you just said that.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Ah See, I didn't get that memo. Yeah, I only
- 8:31Speaker 1: got the memo that we were slow on sales, and
- 8:33Speaker 1: I'm like, that's because people don't know what it is.

- 9:04Speaker 3: I would buy them. I wouldn't count on winning them.
- 9:06Speaker 1: I would buy it.
- 9:07Speaker 5: Yeah, And it's uh, it's kind of thing where you
- 9:10Speaker 5: bring some food to eat and a bottle of wine
- 9:13Speaker 5: and enjoy the show. And we're also going to do
- 9:15Speaker 5: a Not Safe for Work podcast. This is a matinee
- 9:17Speaker 5: on a Sunday at Salt La Captain Company.
- 9:20Speaker 1: So I'm I'm so looking forward to it. It's going
- 9:24Speaker 1: to be great and everything okay, you'll say for Begita
- 9:29Speaker 1: questions everything all right, Yeah.
