- Josh Crowley: everybody wants a deep shot on every play and everyone wants to bring the house on every defensive play. Really that's not good strategy. Nate Crowley: Alright, welcome back to the Brutally Honest BYU podcast. I'm Nate Crowley. Josh Crowley: you Nate Crowley: This is my host and older brother, Josh Crowley. Josh, I guess we're bozos, tool bags, and cornballs based off of the comment section from our last podcast. so that being said, what's your reaction Josh Crowley: I think we're more than that. Yeah. Nate Crowley: to the comment section from our last podcast? Josh Crowley: boy, so much to say, so little time. Appreciate all the interaction, positive, negative. But yeah, I mean, we're beyond that. We're goobers, clowns, two biggest tools on YouTube, low IQ, unintelligent BYU grad, self-righteous. Man, the list goes on. as some of my YouTube idols, Bob Does Sports would say, you might not have liked it, but you watched. Nate Crowley: I love it. I love it. And here's the thing. This is one of the things I'll just say looking back at the comment section. everyone's entitled to their opinion. We're grateful that you're here. And yes, some inflammatory things were purposely said in inflammatory ways. That was part of the purpose. That being said, let's do a little recap on how the band looked this last weekend. Doing the chicken Dance during the game in 4K HD, and then personally the thing that bothered me the most, they're not wearing the right colors. It's a stripe out of the stadium. They're sitting in Josh Crowley: Yeah. Nate Crowley: the rock and they're wearing navy shirts and white overalls. And I've come to the conclusion I'm actually okay if they wear royal or white. If they wear either one of those, I still think that the stadium looks Josh Crowley: you Nate Crowley: great. But it's like, get with the program. Everybody knew what they were supposed to be wearing. Put them in Royal. So clearly those people that are in our comments that are former band members and people defenders of the band, happy that it found you. I genuinely am happy that it found you. And I hope that we can look past our differences of the band. and enjoy being BOU fans of BOU football. Josh Crowley: just, I will add to that. There seems to be a little bit of a misunderstanding about the phrase defund the band. Neither of us were trying to really talk about funding. And I get that that got confusing and we should have explained that better. Basically, our take was the band and their overall contribution to the in-stadium experience leaves a lot to be desired for us. And our preference on halftime show, in-game experience, all the things that we talked about, whether or not that has much to do with the funding that they do or don't get, I don't know. I don't really care. I don't really care where their funding does or doesn't come from. I don't really care how much they get. Sorry band. That's just my own personal take. But yeah, so many people were up in arms about the defund part and I just wanted to clear up. It really doesn't have anything to do with funding for me. I'm not upset about the money that you do or don't get. Nate Crowley: Yeah. Josh Crowley: I just don't love what you bring to Lovell-Edwards Stadium and I'm sorry that that is so upsetting. Nate Crowley: Anyway, moving on to bigger and better things. We actually had an amazing game this last weekend. And so Josh and I are going to do some under-reaction, over-reaction, or spot-on statements that we're gonna have here. So I'm gonna give my statements first, my three statements, and Josh is gonna grade them on whether or not those are that's an over-reaction, underreaction or if that's spot-on. Okay, so my first is the throw from Bear Bachmeyer to Legend Glasker down the sideline is the best throw from a BYU quarterback since Zach Wilson. And you can pick any number of Zach Wilson's throws to say that that was the best throw. Josh Crowley: Yeah, mean off the top of my head I would have a difficult time calling that an overreaction. I don't think I would call that underreacting either. I mean I think that Jake has some decent throws in there. Boy, okay, so if you're saying Sinszak, then that does mean that we're including anything from Jaren I think you might be right. mean, he does under throw it just ever so Nate Crowley: Mm-hmm. Josh Crowley: slightly. Legend is so fast that he does have to slow down a little bit. So. Maybe in that sense, I'll just call it spot Nate Crowley: Yeah. Josh Crowley: on, not an under reaction, not an over reaction, but it's, it's a, it's a fantastic throw. I for sure agree. Nate Crowley: we just haven't seen a deep ball like that in a long time where it just felt it was on the money. can go moving on to number two. The field being slippery and guys not having good footing costed BYU at least three points. Josh Crowley: Underreaction, for sure. It's more than three. it's at least a touchdown. Simply because I think that there are tackles that end up being made that get us into a much more manageable down in distance and we're able to get off the field on some of those super long drives. I can't point to any one particular play, but it felt like it was happening so frequently that, yeah, I really do feel like we give up maybe only 10 points. So I'm calling that under reaction. I think it's a big issue. I really do. Nate Crowley: Well, ironically, that's funny that you think it's more on the defensive side. The play that keeps running through my mind is BYU gets the ball back, I believe it's the first half, it's a play action under center, and LJ is running to like he just faked the handoff and then he slips and misses his block and Bear gets sacked Josh Crowley: yeah. Nate Crowley: almost at the five yard line. And I that was such a drive killer. And that ended up, Arod gets conservative, and he basically says, Well, it's third and twenty. We're just gonna run the ball up the middle and call it what it is. And obviously both teams are playing on the same field at the same time. I understand that. It just felt like there were some pretty big slips that Josh Crowley: Right. Nate Crowley: really costed, you know, BYU okay, my last one might be a little spicy, Isaiah Glasker looks the slowest that he has ever been while at BYU. Josh Crowley: I think that's probably spot on. I mean, I feel like from the time that he started getting serious playing time, his speed was probably his biggest strength as a player. And yeah, I mean, he lost contain multiple times. I mean, don't get me wrong. He still had some great plays, fantastic plays. yeah, he just like the number of times that I found myself saying like, Zay bro, like There's basically one job when it comes to handling Noah Fafida and he dropped the ball a few times. Now, obviously his big hit on the interception play was huge and he does make some great tackles and he still brings a fire that I think we need. But yeah, I'm like, I don't know if it's a health thing. I don't know if he's tentative. I don't know. Maybe it was the field again. You know, maybe he's really trying to not. Nate Crowley: Yeah. Josh Crowley: let his feet slide out from under him or something, but, I think it's spot on. Nate Crowley: and I would just clarify too, I mean, I love Zay. I still think Josh Crowley: Okay, should I give you my, go ahead. Nate Crowley: I think he should still be on the field. I just think that he looks a lot slower and maybe that's because he has self proclaimed this is the fastest I've ever felt, this is the biggest I've ever been, like this is, you know, peak and so I guess maybe my expectations had rose up to that and so seeing him lose contain, like you mentioned, was just frustrating. But still love him. It just has been a little confusing after seeing him for one game. Josh Crowley: All right. My first statement for your evaluation. Our wide receivers are better pass catchers and run blockers than our tight ends. Nate Crowley: I'm gonna say that's spot on. I have a hard time going under or over on either of those. the drop passes from the tight ends have been disappointing. And the blocks downfield, we've seen a pancake block from Legend Glasker. We haven't really seen any standout blocks from either of the tight ends so far. Josh Crowley: Yeah, I agree and it's early and I also think that expectations play a big part in in my statement, right? We had these crazy high expectations for tight ends relatively low or just kind of question mark expectations from the wide receiver room and so far I am blown away by the run blocking by our wide receivers And I can't say that I'm grading out the run blocking from our tight ends low. But the pass catching has just kind of been like, okay. And maybe they're just not as open as I expected them to be, but there's been some drops. anyway, Okay, so statement number two defensive play calling was bad against Arizona. Nate Crowley: I think that's a bit of an overreaction only because of the results in the second half. You know, I think I would probably agree with the first half. I think the first half was really suspect. And even in the second half, there's still some kind of head scratching things. And maybe till agree with your statement there. Did you hear Keanu Tanavasa's statement about getting that sack? He goes Yeah, to be honest, I forgot my assignment on that play, and I just went and did my thing. So it's like not even that second sack right there is really due to play calling. That's just Keanu just saying, I'm just gonna do my thing. So yeah, I'd say that's an overreaction. Josh Crowley: Yeah, I picked that not because it's something that I believe. I feel like that narrative was pretty quickly circulating on Twitter, especially like you said in the first half. Here's my hot take on this. I think that a signature that is developing with this coaching staff is this concept of we're calling a whole game. trying to set ourselves up to win the game overall. If you go through the thought process if you're trying to strategize and you think that the opponent is expecting you to just bring pressure, bring pressure, bring pressure, and then you don't, and then you are hoping that that causes them to react to you, that you're kind of trying to be one step ahead, I think that there is an argument to be made for that. Now, would w would the first half have been a lot better if we had just brought a lot more pressure? And would that have worked for the whole game? I you know, I don't know. I'm I'm not a college football coach, but I do think that offensively and defensively you see our coaches trying to set something up for later in the game pretty often and and in any one just snapshot moment, it might look like not what you want. You know, everybody wants a deep shot on every play and everyone wants to bring the house on every defensive play. And Really that's not good strategy. You know, Nate Crowley: Right. Josh Crowley: it's just exciting to watch his fans. And so I don't think that the defensive play calling was bad. I mean, we held him to seventeen points and that's a pretty dynamic quarterback. So we won the game. So for those out there that are like, my gosh, I think that we have a huge step down in K-pop from Jay Hill. I mean, time will tell. You know, we'll see. I think jury is very Nate Crowley: Yeah. Josh Crowley: much still out, but I think there was intention to it and at the end of the day, the results Or what we wanted at least for that game. So I guess we'll see. You know, give give it a few more games. Nate Crowley: Yeah, for sure. Josh Crowley: Anyway, my third statement kind of goes along with one of yours, so we we don't need to spend a lot of time on this, but molded cleats need to be outlawed for games that are played at home and on any grass playing surface. I I understand, I've heard players talk about how uncomfortable the screw-ins are and I hate that for you. I wish that they were just as comfortable, but it's just like I don't know what to tell ya. It I if you're not wearing screwins at this point on Laval's turf, like I don't know what you're doing. I just think that clearly we have some issues with keeping our feet. So Nate Crowley: Definitely. I well and I've heard things that or part of the grass there's actually artificial turf sewn in. know if that's Josh Crowley: Really? Nate Crowley: true, but that's one of the things I heard and so I'm like, maybe there's some hybrid stuff going on with the turf, but listen, I referenced it a couple episodes ago. BYU's a national champion groundskeeping crew. Like, what? Like how is this happening? So I I definitely Josh Crowley: I don't understand it. Nate Crowley: prefer grass over artificial turf, without question. Josh Crowley: Agreed. Nate Crowley: I just think that it's twenty twenty six. We should be able to have turf that doesn't Get slippery when wet Okay, moving into this next segment. Josh doesn't know what it is. It's called Start Bench Cut. So I'm gonna give Josh three different scenarios here Alright, I'll read them out for our Josh Crowley: my gosh. Nate Crowley: audio listeners. Start bench cut. These are three scenarios. Lily is Josh's daughter. She marries a genuine BYU football fan who you can talk shop with. Scenario B, BYU never plays a G6 game on the road ever again. And scenario C, Kalani stops kneeling it out in the red zone. Josh, start, bench, cut. Josh Crowley: That is just brutal. because I obviously want all of these tremendously. man, the idea of my daughter being locked in with a a genuine BYU fan for life, I've gotta start that. That just feels Nate Crowley: Okay. Josh Crowley: like the long play. Like that's just that that that's past Kalani's time, right? Nate Crowley: Yeah, yeah. Josh Crowley: I think I'll bench Kalani no longer kneeling it out in the red zone and I'll cut. BYU never playing another G6 game on the road. I do hate that we're playing this game on the road. I definitely wish that we could get to that level and and stop being the nice guys in that sense. maybe my tune will change if we go in and lay an egg in Fort Collins this weekend. But Nate Crowley: Yeah. Josh Crowley: I feel like we're gonna handle it You know, I living out of state, sometimes the road games were my I went to the ECU game last year. That was my chance to go see the cougs. And so in some ways it gives fans in those areas chances to show up and and show out. Nate Crowley: This is this one's more of a straight up start bench cut. More classic. Start bench cut, Legend Glaskar, Austin Collie, Cody Hoffman. Josh Crowley: Jeez, bro. Okay. I'm gonna start Austin. I'm gonna bench Cody and I'm gonna cut Legend. only because of production and big play ability, over a career's worth. I definitely think Legend could put himself in the conversation with these guys, but those are multi-year guys. And man, asking me to start and bench Austin versus Cody is really tough. but I do think that I give the edge just ever so slightly to Austin, but it's it's narrow. Nate Crowley: That's interesting. So I'm gonna I'm gonna spin it. Do you think the ceiling of Legend Glasger is high enough to get him in the bench or the starting position? Josh Crowley: yeah, I think his ceiling is higher than either of these guys. Period. I'll just I'll just keep it simple. Nate Crowley: Well, okay. Yeah. I mean I think I agree with you. Okay, and Josh Crowley: I agree. Nate Crowley: the last one, Three things that you hate, that we hate. Scenario A, the band doing chicken dances during the game. Dave McCann Josh Crowley: Yeah. Nate Crowley: talking about how much he loves flyovers before the game starts and scenario C drop eight defense. Josh Crowley: Okay. I'm gonna cut the band doing the chicken dance during the game. please don't ever let me see that again. By the way, I went back and l watched the clip in in prep for this pod, and I th Think that it might have been one of those like Jumbotron get everybody in the stadium involved. And, you know, it's like, everybody do the chicken dance. Now everybody do the sprinkler or something, like during a timeout. but it just was unfortunate timing with our last podcast Nate Crowley: Yeah. Josh Crowley: and the zoom in right on the band, and I'm just going. It's a seven seven game, it's a huge moment, and we're in the stand still. Nate Crowley: Not to mention that halftime, they were doing lightsaber battles. the color guard was doing lightsaber battles. And they weren't cool, by the way, if you needed to know. Josh Crowley: It wasn't cool. It wasn't cool. Although I will also say I went and watched the whole entire halftime show, and at least the Star Wars music that was chosen was the most recognizable. I will say that in comparison Nate Crowley: Yeah, spot on. Yep. Josh Crowley: to the Mario tip of the cap. Yeah, it was it was recognizable and it sounded pretty good. I c I won't I won't brag on the band anymore. I could because I had other takeaways Nate Crowley: Yeah. Josh Crowley: after watching, but I won't. okay, so I'm cutting the chicken dance showing up on national television. golly. I guess I'm gonna start Dave McCann talking about flyovers just because I got a place in my heart for Dave McCann. It's a weird place. Nate Crowley: Yeah. Josh Crowley: but it doesn't affect the game. and I know Nate Crowley: Right. Josh Crowley: the chicken dance doesn't either, but it does affect the game for me. and the drop eight defense I'm just gonna bench because of what I said earlier. I think there is a time and place. I think there is some strategy in the right moments for it. maybe I should clarify is drop eight defense just That's our standard go to play. Nate Crowley: I that was open to interpretation. That's why as is. So Josh Crowley: Okay. I'm choosing to see it as part of an overall defensive philosophy and not the defensive philosophy. If we're just calling it drop eight period, like later Tuyaki years, then I'm cutting that and I'm keeping the chicken dance. because I want BYU to do well and I just cannot fathom that Jaron Hall passing to Puka Nakua wasn't a eleven win team, but the defense couldn't Nate Crowley: You know? Josh Crowley: do its job. So, but if if we're just saying as, you know, an isolated play here and there as an overall part of the philosophy, I'll go ahead and bench that and Let Dave McCann have his flyovers, you know? The poor guy. He just he loves Nate Crowley: It's a Josh Crowley: what he loves, and so do we, right? Nate Crowley: Yeah. It it's just one of those things that I feel like the amount of time that these headphones have heard Dave McCann talk about how much he loves his flyovers has been he did. Well and you know Josh Crowley: Gosh. I think he interviewed a pilot this week talking about the flyover. I'm like, wow, this man. Yeah. Nate Crowley: what it reminds me of? It reminds me of Dwight Shroot. Yeah! Yeah! Like when the firemen show up fast and he's like, Great response Josh Crowley: Yeah. Great response time. Nate Crowley: time! Josh Crowley: So good. Nate Crowley: That's what it reminds me of. It's just like Alright, I mean I think flyovers are cool too. I literally don't think for one more second about it after the plane gets over the stadium. Josh Crowley: Yeah. Nate Crowley: So anyway, let's do our score recap from this weekend. Josh Crowley: so first item of business. I rewatched our podcast back and realized that I can't do math and that our actual scores from week one were twenty to twenty. We we were both kind of equally off of the final. So we were all tied up going into this one. I predicted thirty-eight to twenty-one. you predicted thirty-two to twenty. no thanks to Kalani for kneeling it out in the red zone for either of us, but it especially would have helped me more. But by our scoring, and I'll I'll put the chart up here, Nate, you scored 23 for this game. and I got 16. So that puts our overall totals. You're at 43, I'm at 36. So coming after you. I'll have to catch up here, hopefully. So but yeah, we'll keep it close. Nate Crowley: I I did think, well, he's definitely not kicking a field goal when Josh Crowley: Right. Right. Nate Crowley: Tell about my score prediction, but would get me close. But hey, we were right. We both picked Kooks to win this last weekend, and I think that there was a little bit of trepidation going into the game. We've talked about in weeks previous how big this game was coming into the game and feeling like you gotta find a way to win this one. I have tons of respect for Noel Fafita, he's an easy guy. guy chair four, easy rootable guy. Have nothing against him. Loved breaking his heart. Kinda loved making him cry. Not gonna lie. It Josh Crowley: Ha ha Nate Crowley: was kinda great to see them go 0-3 against our Kooks. Josh Crowley: couldn't agree more. Nate Crowley: moving on to Colorado State. I'm feeling good. I feel like this should be a pretty comfortable win. I really only have hesitation that it seems like that their offense can really put up points. And it seems like their quarterback can really chuck the rock. Move it around, and then my other big thing is Matt Mitchell, BYU's quarterback coach from the last couple of years, is on staff, and I don't know if he's their passing game coordinator or what exactly his role is for Colorado State, but the fact that he's on staff at Colorado State does give me pause. Josh Crowley: today in prep for our show, I went back and watched both of Colorado State's games so far this year. I had a bunch of takeaways. Their their quarterback has a really nice deep ball and we cannot let receivers get behind us, period. I mean, he he really he only missed on one deep throw that I saw. I didn't watch every single play. It was it was the extended highlights, their running back number one, Brown, Mel Brown. I don't understand why he's not getting all of their carries because he is so much more dynamic than their other two that seem to get kind of the lion's share. he's pretty good. he's really shifty and a little bit scary. but then there was a lot of reasons to not be that worried. I mean They had four three and outs against Wyoming. Their fans rushed the field after beating Wyoming. that is an indicator of where programs at, at least a little bit. SUU had a tunnel screen that like was basically the exact same play that Legend scored on in week one that they blocked up very easily and went for six. the other thing I've seen a lot of getting a lot of run on Twitter is like this their turnover margin is so good. If you go and look at all of the turnovers that they have gotten, it is pretty crazy the luck that they have scored. I mean, receivers slipping Just insane ball security downfield, like guys just totally letting it hang out and it's super easy punch out. you know, tips that are just like an absolute cookie, right? To a DB that's really not in great position. So I'm hopeful that we won't make those mistakes. And I don't think that this is like a defense that we have to be worried is just. Constantly taking the ball away. I feel like they've really benefited. But to be fair, they have been pretty good about turning the ball over themselves. like I said, there was one deep ball where their their QB throws a pretty bad ball and it gets picked off. I'm pretty optimistic that we're gonna get a lead. They're gonna have to throw the ball a lot and And that our safeties and D B's are gonna feast. but yeah, I mean, let's definitely not get into a shootout. on the road. but rush the field against Wyoming, like this shouldn't be a a contest, I I would hope. Nate Crowley: I can't believe that BYU has graduated to the point that they're at because dude there were some battles against Colorado State. And and so it feels weird. my gosh. Josh Crowley: for sure. Yeah. Bradley Van Pelt. Yeah, that that is that name I don't remember what our record actually was against him. I just feel like he was their quarterback for five straight years and the dude was just a gamer and it just felt like Nate Crowley: Yeah. Josh Crowley: no matter what we did, he caused us fits. He was good and I had a little bit of PTSD watching their games today. Like a quarterback that can sling it and it's a little fleet Nate Crowley: Yeah. Josh Crowley: footed in a Colorado State Rams jersey. I was like, or Aggies jersey, by the way. That was one of my other Nate Crowley: Yeah. Josh Crowley: takeaways. So weird that they like have a throwback that includes changing their mascot for the week. It's kind of bizarre. Nate Crowley: Yeah. Josh Crowley: To the Aggies of all choices, you know, at least Nate Crowley: Right? Josh Crowley: if I mean if it was the Rainbow Warriors or something legit, then maybe I can get behind it, but Aggies, whatever. You do you. Nate Crowley: Yeah, the the orange the orange and green, which I know Miami rocks, but it is ugly. I think it's ugly on Miami. Josh Crowley: It's yeah. maybe it's just the shade. I don't know what it is, but holy cow, those jerseys were bad. But I think we get the regular green and gold. I Nate Crowley: I think so. Josh Crowley: think it's just a one time a year thing is is what I read. So yeah. Anyway, the Colorado AM Aggies. Nate Crowley: Yeah. Rough, rough jerseys. But yeah. Yeah, things that I won't really want to see as like and consider a success We've touched on this a couple of times, but it's like, dude, our players are down. Like we are down Raider De Mooney. Sione Mo is gone probably for the year, right? I mean, I some people are saying he might come back late. I don't think he's coming back. And then Ciale Sera's not even on the depth chart this week. And so it's like he's out. And then Glasker was out week one. I there's just concerns all around. By the way, Kalani's comment. goes, Yes, Ciale's not gonna be playing this week. He's not on the depth chart. We just want to have full transparency about where things are at. Dude, that is a shot at Kyle Whittingham. That's a shot Josh Crowley: Mm. Nate Crowley: at the article that came out that said, hey, like we had guys playing that were hurt. For those that don't know, like six or eight former Utah players went to the Deseret News to basically out Kyle Whittingham about four. him to play guys that were hurt. So that's how I interpreted that comment was Kalani being like, Yeah, I'm not doing that anymore. I'm just gonna say this guy's in, this guy's out, let's just be open about it. I don't want there to be any accusations that I'm forcing guys to play. So that's how I interpreted that comment. But Just stay healthy. Like I'd be okay if we're up twenty-eight zip at half. Let's have Tracen Bourghay play the rest of the the second half. You know what I mean? Like let's get some of these young running backs the ball. Let's see some of our backup wide receivers. obviously win the game first. That's obviously what the coaches are gonna be talking about. But I'm just feeling nervous that we've played one big twelve game and we're already kind of walking into, the biggest games of the season, kinda limping. And it's just like I I believe in our strength and conditioning staff. I think they're great. It's just been not exactly what I was hoping for, you know, going into week three. Ugh. Josh Crowley: Well, and you didn't even mention Cade Uluave, who's the one that I worry about the most. I know that the guys that are directly behind our starting linebackers are absolutely capable, but there's capable and then there's game changer. And Cade Uluave is clearly a game changing player. When he is on the field, he impacts everything. offenses are gonna be literally keying in on where is that guy at all times. Like is he on the field? And I think that's changing play calls. he's gonna totally affect the game, whether or not he makes the tackle, whether or not the stats are flashy because he's that good. And yeah, I just don't love a guy in the postgame just saying, I just need my shoulders to get a little bit broken in. I'm like, geez, bro, the guy has what triple digit tackles in is it two or three Nate Crowley: Yeah. Josh Crowley: straight seasons at Cal. So clearly he's Nate Crowley: Yeah. Josh Crowley: been able to stay on the field. but yeah, we we need that guy. I think if we want to reach the heights that we're hoping to. if we're talking about really being like an elite team, he has to be a part of that formula. So yeah, Man, I just wanna see what this team can do with the guys that trained all off season to do it, you know? Nate Crowley: last thought unsung hero so far of the season? Fuller shirts? Bro. He's been bombing those punts. I've Josh Crowley: Yeah. Yeah. He's good. Nate Crowley: I've been loving it. And I'm like and then some coach said he's one of the fastest players on our team. What? I think Josh Crowley: Like what? Nate Crowley: K I think K pop said that, which I'm like Okay, so any fourth and three and shorter should be a fake and he's rolling out and getting the first down? Josh Crowley: that's totally crazy. Nate Crowley: another special team's thought we didn't see any field goal attempts in this last game. Brody Laga has been bombing it out of the end zone, but the one short kick, we did not cover that very well. They got out to like the thirty five that looked a little shaky. I didn't see Canon DeVries out there as the kick returner, which was weird. Josh Crowley: Yeah, so on on Coordinator's Corner, Justin Enna kinda goes into that and he actually revealed that the top two guys for kickoff return is Legend and Evan. and so I think that maybe they were just trying to give him some run in the Utah Tech game. To kind of see what he could do against lower competition. And now I think they're kind of between a rock and a hard place 'cause they legitimately feel like he's the third best option. and yet he has a Nate Crowley: Wow. Josh Crowley: a return for a touchdown. So who knows? It it does sound like Evan is always gonna be basically asking him, Hey, how are you feeling right now based on the drive that just happened? which by the way, why are we having one of our absolute most critical players? if he were to go down because of a big hit he took on kickoff return, that would be devastating. and totally unnecessary Nate Crowley: Yeah, c very co yeah. Josh Crowley: when you have a Canon Devries over on the sideline, right? for Unsung Hero, I thought you were gonna say Canon DeVries because I think Nate Crowley: Mm. Josh Crowley: the impact that he's having on defense is huge too. So it's not that I think he's expendable either. Nate Crowley: Right. Josh Crowley: but that would be absolutely terrible if we lost Evan Johnson on a special teams play. Nate Crowley: Completely. shout out to Javen Williams, played a lot of ball this last Saturday, and Josh Crowley: He did. Nate Crowley: he actually for the most part, I think, balled out and made some great plays. So happy to see success there too, because it just kind of felt like a little bit of a question mark of the depth at corner and he seemed to show up and show out. So anyway. Okay, Josh Crowley: Totally. You wanna hit us with a score prediction? Nate Crowley: Goku's Yeah, let's do it. I'm gonna say Forty one To thirteen cough. Josh Crowley: Okay. I'm very similar, I've got forty five to sixteen. Nate Crowley: Alright. Go cooks, baby. Josh Crowley: Go cooks, for life.
