  Speaker 1: we had a great time. And I walked into my

  Speaker 1: apartment and I forgot that I had sympathy that I

  Speaker 1: said it was okay for my old assistant to stay here.

  Speaker 1: So I walked in and there were shoes, there were

  Speaker 1: closed on the floor. I'm like, somebody's been sleeping in

  Speaker 1: my bed. So anyway, I figured it out. She was

  Speaker 1: supposed to come for the weekend, but she stayed a
• 1:37
  Speaker 1: little longer well, and then she left her clothes out?

  Speaker 1: Does she not know to keep it tidy? I know? Right? Hi? Yeah? Yeah,

  Speaker 1: All right? First off, how do you enjoy being on

  Speaker 1: the Housewives and what made you finally do it? Well,

  Speaker 1: I've had a really well first of all, when the

  Speaker 1: production kept asking and asking and asking and would not

  Speaker 1: let up, and then Kyle got into the mix, and
• 3:19
  Speaker 1: you Kyle does not take no for an answer, so

  Speaker 1: it was really yes, no, no, no, no, no no no.

  Speaker 1: Maybe because I don't like to hurt anybody's feelings or
• 3:29
  Speaker 1: disappoint them. So I was like, well maybe you know, no, no, no, no, no,

  Speaker 1: no no. And it went on for three months, and

  Speaker 1: finally I was so as you know, Kyle and I've
• 3:40
  Speaker 1: had our ups and downs and you know whatever, and
• 3:46
  Speaker 1: so I was very flattered that she wanted me to
• 3:48
  Speaker 1: come on so much. So I thought. I talked to
• 3:52
  Speaker 1: Rick and he said, well, I think it's a great
• 3:54
  Speaker 1: opportunity you can spend some time together. And I just thought, well,
• 4:01
  Speaker 1: it's COVID there's nothing else to do. No, I'm just
• 4:04
  Speaker 1: kidding pretty much, all right, you know what, I'll give
• 4:08
  Speaker 1: it a try. And now that you gave it a try,
• 4:11
  Speaker 1: do you think it was better or worse than you expected?
• 4:15
  Speaker 1: I had a wonderful experience. I could honestly tell you
• 4:19
  Speaker 1: I had a blast. I had a very very good experience.

  Speaker 1: And is there a trip or something that was your
• 4:28
  Speaker 1: most favorite that you could PenPoint are your favorite night
• 4:31
  Speaker 1: of the season. I would say that I really enjoyed
• 4:35
  Speaker 1: like Tahoe because I was so nervous to go without Rick,
• 4:39
  Speaker 1: and I've never gone away for three days like that,
• 4:42
  Speaker 1: and so I was just like a little kid in
• 4:44
  Speaker 1: the candy store, you know the scene where you're in
• 4:48
  Speaker 1: bad with Kyle the fan the chips, the red bull,
• 4:52
  Speaker 1: not knowing it's a red bull. Tears were coming out
• 4:55
  Speaker 1: of my eyes. It was so good. Well, I didn't
• 4:57
  Speaker 1: have my glasses on, and Kyle may a dinner forest
• 5:01
  Speaker 1: and it was burnt salmon, so I really didn't eat
• 5:03
  Speaker 1: that much, and they didn't have lunch meat to make
• 5:06
  Speaker 1: a sandwich or anything like that. So I was looking
• 5:10
  Speaker 1: through the refrigerator and I didn't feel like fruit. So
• 5:14
  Speaker 1: I saw some chips. I grabbed the chips, and I
• 5:17
  Speaker 1: just grabbed what I thought was either a health drink
• 5:21
  Speaker 1: or um. You know, you don't usually walk into the
• 5:24
  Speaker 1: refrigerator which your glasses on, right, So I just grabbed
• 5:28
  Speaker 1: something and I thought it was either a soft drink.
• 5:30
  Speaker 1: I didn't want a Coca cola and UM, so I
• 5:34
  Speaker 1: just grabbed that. And I was scared because they said
• 5:37
  Speaker 1: there were bears around. So I started getting nervous and
• 5:40
  Speaker 1: I thought, I'm going to go in and Kyle knows
• 5:42
  Speaker 1: I sleep with a fan, and I thought she'd be
• 5:45
  Speaker 1: thrilled to have me in there. But she gets very
• 5:49
  Speaker 1: She just gets very annoyed and does not have a
• 5:52
  Speaker 1: lot of patients like that. You know that we got
• 5:55
  Speaker 1: a lot of flak for what for sharing a bed
• 5:58
  Speaker 1: one time when we were in Provence. Everyone was like,
• 6:00
  Speaker 1: that is so weird. Bu But Kathy, I'm glad that
• 6:04
  Speaker 1: you're similar to me, like I've any time that I've
• 6:06
  Speaker 1: done a trip anything. If somebody is like a good
• 6:09
  Speaker 1: friend or my sister, like, I want to be like
• 6:11
  Speaker 1: close to them, right, So are you with me? Then?

  Speaker 1: I mean, as long as they don't snore, as long
• 6:15
  Speaker 1: as they don't snore, true, but my husband snore, so

  Speaker 1: I'm constantly having to like push him to the side, like,
• 6:21
  Speaker 1: go on your side. I've got the best thing for you.

  Speaker 1: What And for airplanes they're called ear Max. Okay, it's
• 6:29
  Speaker 1: like candle wax, and you buy them like at right
• 6:32
  Speaker 1: Aid or any any place. You've got to get the

  Speaker 1: name brand ear Max M A C. S. I think
• 6:39
  Speaker 1: it is, and it really you can't hear a thing. Well,
• 6:45
  Speaker 1: I need it because the struggle is real every night.

  Speaker 1: And then I don't understand why when people snore they
• 6:50
  Speaker 1: say like, oh, I wasn't snoring when you like push
• 6:53
  Speaker 1: them a little, obviously you think I'm just pushing you
• 6:56
  Speaker 1: to for fun now to be being exactly keeping. And

  Speaker 1: then he says it's me and I'm like, no, dear,
• 7:06
  Speaker 1: that was not me because I'm not sleeping yet. Well,

  Speaker 1: husbands also do the same thing when you decided to
• 7:11
  Speaker 1: try to watch something together where they always fall asleep,
• 7:14
  Speaker 1: and then when you tell them that they're asleep, they're like,
• 7:16
  Speaker 1: I'm not sleeping. Well, yes, you actually were, and that's
• 7:19
  Speaker 1: why I'm changing the channel. I don't need to watch
• 7:21
  Speaker 1: this by myself. That's sterical. Did you know that you
• 7:26
  Speaker 1: were going to be a fan favorite like this. Well,
• 7:29
  Speaker 1: I mean, you know, that was the one thing I
• 7:32
  Speaker 1: just thought, Well, I don't, I don't know, I'm you
• 7:36
  Speaker 1: know how people are going to receive me. So um,
• 7:39
  Speaker 1: that was the one thing I thought. But you know what,
• 7:44
  Speaker 1: once those cameras are on and everything, Um, and I
• 7:48
  Speaker 1: have relationships with most of the girls, um, a couple
• 7:52
  Speaker 1: of Erica. I didn't really know. I met her that
• 7:55
  Speaker 1: night at Kyle's birthday at my house that you were up,
• 7:58
  Speaker 1: and I don't think I've ever met her other than
• 8:01
  Speaker 1: that until we started filing, and I did not know
• 8:05
  Speaker 1: Sutton and all the other girls I knew, so I
• 8:10
  Speaker 1: was really comfortable. And I'm a girl's girl. I like to,
• 8:15
  Speaker 1: I love to you know, have fun and all of that.
• 8:18
  Speaker 1: So I was just really excited about the part, you know,
• 8:21
  Speaker 1: to go there and have a little party, have a
• 8:24
  Speaker 1: little action. How I loved your prank. And then aside

  Speaker 1: from Kyle, who do you think was the most welcoming

  Speaker 1: housewife and who was the most stand offish? We need both,

  Speaker 1: we need both. I'm gonna say I would say like
• 8:42
  Speaker 1: real warm and fuzzy everybody, maybe, um, maybe setting a
• 8:48
  Speaker 1: little bit and now I really really like her, but
• 8:53
  Speaker 1: in the beginning, and she was new last year too,
• 8:56
  Speaker 1: so that's understandable. And she didn't know me, so she's
• 9:00
  Speaker 1: not gonna like it's not her place to like try

  Speaker 1: to do enough of the other girls like Lisa and
• 9:07
  Speaker 1: Dory and Garcell and and Kyle. I mean I felt
• 9:13
  Speaker 1: pretty good, you know, and I knew Crystal. I know,
• 9:17
  Speaker 1: how did you meet? Came in dow together. I met
• 9:22
  Speaker 1: Crystal true just mutual friends at different events through the
• 9:27
  Speaker 1: you know, the last few years. And listener question, not mine,

  Speaker 1: what was your first impression of her versus now? And

  Speaker 1: do you think what you're seeing on the show is

  Speaker 1: true to who she is? I have to say. Somebody

  Speaker 1: was asking me about in the car today. We're doing

  Speaker 1: an interview in the car, and I would just say

  Speaker 1: I don't want to answer it, but I truthfully do

  Speaker 1: feel of all the girls, they're all pretty passionate, and

  Speaker 1: I think they're and how they feel and how they act.

  Speaker 1: I don't think that anyone's putting anything on. Yeah, and

  Speaker 1: you ever get in any type of altercation with anybody

  Speaker 1: during your season one, you know I did not, But

  Speaker 1: I'm not a fighter. I'm more of the one that's

  Speaker 1: trying to smooth things out and be the you know,

  Speaker 1: the little psychologist, the therapist. Oh I did notice that.

  Speaker 1: I'm not to give anything away, but the episode that
• 10:43
  Speaker 1: I'm on, it gets heated between me and somebody, and

  Speaker 1: you like look up and you start laughing. You're like
• 10:50
  Speaker 1: you're a little spitfire. And I was like, Cathy, Like

  Speaker 1: immediately I went from feeling like red and heated to
• 10:57
  Speaker 1: like laughing and like thank you. I a pre shaded

  Speaker 1: that comment because like lighten the kind of deflects it.

  Speaker 1: And then it just kind of just like, let's not
• 11:08
  Speaker 1: take anything too too seriously and let's not hurt anybody's
• 11:12
  Speaker 1: feelings or push you know. I understand there's drama and
• 11:16
  Speaker 1: there has to be drama, and these are all very
• 11:18
  Speaker 1: strong ladies with opinions, but I don't like to see
• 11:21
  Speaker 1: anybody get pushed over the edge. Yeah, now I agree. Um,
• 11:27
  Speaker 1: and we've I've lived that breathe that you know, hopefully
• 11:31
  Speaker 1: learned from it. But um, knowing what you know, now,
• 11:34
  Speaker 1: would you do another season well, you know, let's see,
• 11:38
  Speaker 1: there's fifteen more episodes to see, so you know that
• 11:42
  Speaker 1: old saying, oh we got to see how I'm how

  Speaker 1: you're uh edited or whatever. I do believe that what
• 11:49
  Speaker 1: you put out there, you're pretty much responsible for how
• 11:53
  Speaker 1: you're edited. Yet if they're only using you know, if

  Speaker 1: we're up filming in like Tahoe for four days and

  Speaker 1: there's eight girls, seven other girls other than me besides me, um,

  Speaker 1: how much can they really use? Yeah, and I'm just
• 12:12
  Speaker 1: a friend, so you know, well, you're a day good friend.

  Speaker 1: But I think also people don't realize how much they
• 12:19
  Speaker 1: don't actually show. So when people blame the edit, it's
• 12:22
  Speaker 1: all things that you've said and done, so you know,
• 12:24
  Speaker 1: there really is that. But if you're not seeing a full,

  Speaker 1: well rounded person, then yes, you're gonna, you know, notice

  Speaker 1: their faults more than you would if you're seeing more
• 12:34
  Speaker 1: of them. But there's no like, oh it was the edit.

  Speaker 1: It's more just how much of their life are you
• 12:39
  Speaker 1: actually seeing so that you can you know, because each

  Speaker 1: one of the women you can see yourself in at

  Speaker 1: some point like oh you know this, you know I

  Speaker 1: this reminds me of this, or this feels good to me,

  Speaker 1: or this doesn't. But when they really, you know, focus

  Speaker 1: in on the drama, then you miss some of the

  Speaker 1: other stuff. But you know, you say it and it happens,

  Speaker 1: it's out there, it's on camera, and you know you
• 12:58
  Speaker 1: kind of got to live with it, exactly. But speaking

  Speaker 1: of I heard from actually Danielle who runs this podcast,

  Speaker 1: that Paris and Nikki didn't know you were coming on

  Speaker 1: the show until um after you started filming. That's exactly right,

  Speaker 1: they were. They kept hearing and of course every year

  Speaker 1: it says that I'm going to be on the show,

  Speaker 1: you know, every single year for like the last nine years.

  Speaker 1: So when they heard it, they were just like, oh, no,

  Speaker 1: there's no truth to that. There's no truth. Well, they

  Speaker 1: kept hearing it and hearing it. So finally Nicky called

  Speaker 1: and I said no, because I hadn't made a decision yet.

  Speaker 1: And I said no, I said no, I mean, I
• 13:41
  Speaker 1: don't know. I've I've been offered, but you know, I
• 13:44
  Speaker 1: doubt it and whatever. So then the girls were down
• 13:47
  Speaker 1: in Greenwich Village walking around in New York City and
• 13:51
  Speaker 1: they got a phone call that People magazine had gone
• 13:55
  Speaker 1: ahead and said, yes, your mother, I mean Kathy is
• 13:59
  Speaker 1: going to be on the show. So they confirmed it.

  Speaker 1: So all of a sudden, my phone was ringing off
• 14:05
  Speaker 1: the wall. And of course, you know me, I lose
• 14:08
  Speaker 1: my phone a lot too, so I always have that excuse.

  Speaker 1: So I, um, I was avoiding the girls. And then
• 14:16
  Speaker 1: once you actually did speak to them, what was their response? Um,
• 14:21
  Speaker 1: you know, not thrilled, but I mean in the same
• 14:24
  Speaker 1: token like they were very much so in the public eye.

  Speaker 1: They you know, on tons of different television shows, always
• 14:32
  Speaker 1: out there like how was it being in the reverse? Like,

  Speaker 1: now of a sudden, you're on the show. Now they

  Speaker 1: you know, they've gotten used to the idea. What do

  Speaker 1: you think they're thinking? They're okay? Now I think that
• 14:43
  Speaker 1: they're okay. Nikki is actually gonna bark in tonight. She is, yes,

  Speaker 1: And Paris started sending me a lot of the cute memes.

  Speaker 1: So that was her way of kind of saying it's okay.

  Speaker 1: I promised. Somebody said, Look, you don't have to worry.
