- 0:08Speaker 1: Welcome to the Favorites. Listen. Before I even get into
- 0:15Speaker 1: the introduction, I know I've got black Jack Fletcher sitting
- 0:19Speaker 1: next to me. He's not gonna be on this podcast,
- 0:22Speaker 1: but we recorded a different one for tomorrow and Matt
- 0:24Speaker 1: for the producer. Whenever I do the intro, they look
- 0:27Speaker 1: at each other they start laughing. So now you're interrupting
- 0:32Speaker 1: my flow and disrespecting Bob Scucci who's on the phone.
- 0:39Speaker 1: And he represents the Orleans and all the boy gaming
- 0:43Speaker 1: books throughout the country, and one day he's gonna be
- 0:45Speaker 1: bookmaker of the world and he's gonna be like, who
- 0:48Speaker 1: are these Yahoo's laughing When Chad is trying to do
- 0:51Speaker 1: the introduction. Well, we're just coming back for vacation and
- 0:54Speaker 1: we're trying to make this the year of kindness. Okay, Yeah,
- 1:14Speaker 1: Happy new Heater Scooch, Happy New Year, Chad. I missed
- 1:17Speaker 1: your buddy. It's been a long couple of weeks. It
- 1:20Speaker 1: has been a long couple of weeks. Um, how does
- 1:25Speaker 1: a bookmaker of stature such as yourself celebrating New Year's Uh, Well,
- 1:34Speaker 1: my wife and I went on a went on a
- 1:36Speaker 1: yacht and we were out on the lake and We
- 1:37Speaker 1: had these what's the fireworks from a pretty pretty good
- 1:41Speaker 1: show from both sides of the lake, had some drinks,
- 1:45Speaker 1: some food or derves with friends and uh welcomed in
- 1:49Speaker 1: the New Year. Yeah, kind of a private event, but
- 1:55Speaker 1: it's a pretty big yacht though. I don't know what
- 1:58Speaker 1: kind of life you're living. It was cold out there.
- 2:03Speaker 1: That had to be the coldest New Year's when the
- 2:05Speaker 1: yacht was moving, it was about thirty eight thirty seven
- 2:09Speaker 1: degrees with that water wind in your in your face,
- 2:15Speaker 1: you know out here in Las Vegas, I'm not used
- 2:17Speaker 1: to that. It was cold. Did you wear like your
- 2:19Speaker 1: fur coat or what did you do? I was bundled up,
- 2:22Speaker 1: I had layers, I had gloves, hats, scarf, the whole thing.
- 2:26Speaker 1: But it was still pretty cold. You knew it was
- 2:28Speaker 1: going to be cold when you were accepting the invitation
- 2:31Speaker 1: to this event. Absolutely, yeah, but still as much as
- 2:35Speaker 1: you prepare for it when you're out there and you're
- 2:37Speaker 1: I mean a lot of the night was below deck,
- 2:40Speaker 1: but when we went out on deck it was cold.
- 2:43Speaker 1: I'll bet it was below deck. How about yourself? What
- 2:47Speaker 1: did you do? Oh? We had a very exciting evening.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Scooch Uh, Stacy and I went out with another couple. Uh.
- 2:55Speaker 1: They have a three year old daughter. They didn't have
- 2:58Speaker 1: babysitting for the night, so they brought the out or
- 3:00Speaker 1: with them to dinner. And the daughter could not be cute,
- 3:04Speaker 1: like really adorable. Um. And the dinner lasted like four hours.
- 3:09Speaker 1: It was about a quarter to twelve when we were
- 3:11Speaker 1: finally finishing, and she was going strong. Wow. Yeah, I
- 3:18Speaker 1: could only imagine she was really really funny. Um, I
- 3:23Speaker 1: can't say like I raged. I got home and my
- 3:28Speaker 1: younger son decided to sleep out, so I had to
- 3:30Speaker 1: bring him like a bunch of crap to wherever he
- 3:33Speaker 1: was sleeping. So literally, at midnight, I was in my
- 3:36Speaker 1: car driving back home and my older son had friends
- 3:42Speaker 1: over uh and they were all still there when Stacy
- 3:46Speaker 1: and I got home, and they were all up long
- 3:49Speaker 1: after I went to bed. Couldn't you hear him that
- 3:52Speaker 1: they keep you awake? They were loud as fun at
- 3:55Speaker 1: some point. At some point I said to stay at
- 3:57Speaker 1: I'm like, you gotta go tell them to close that
- 4:00Speaker 1: fucking door. And I got like ornery, and you know,
- 4:03Speaker 1: I was being like the grumpy old guy, cremudgedly old man. Oh,
- 4:12Speaker 1: that's great, scooch. Listen, I've been killing it lately. You
- 4:18Speaker 1: know why I got back to basics, Yeah, which is
- 4:24Speaker 1: what I You know, I played the big dogs, I
- 4:28Speaker 1: played the home dogs. Um, I bet with the percentages.
- 4:33Speaker 1: I faded the public. I like, you know, I followed
- 4:36Speaker 1: my UM followed my principles. You know, I do this
- 4:42Speaker 1: every year with my best friend in the world. We
- 4:45Speaker 1: do this pick skin pick up contest right head to head,
- 4:48Speaker 1: and every year it's against the spread every game, and
- 4:53Speaker 1: the loser gets sent trophies, any trophy, second place trophy
- 4:59Speaker 1: we want to sense. So like one year he just
- 5:01Speaker 1: sent me thirteen second place trophies. Right, one year, I
- 5:05Speaker 1: sent him um a trophy that was like four ft
- 5:09Speaker 1: tall that he had to put together with his family.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Like I wanted the shame and embarrassment to extend. So
- 5:15Speaker 1: this year, in the middle of the year, like remember
- 5:16Speaker 1: I had that run, We're like the public was just
- 5:19Speaker 1: covering everything and the favorites were covering everything, and I
- 5:23Speaker 1: like started to lose my way a little bit, so
- 5:25Speaker 1: he caught up to me. I had a big lead
- 5:26Speaker 1: and he caught up to me. Was like a game
- 5:27Speaker 1: or two with the most bag if we weren't tied.
- 5:30Speaker 1: And he's doing it right for himself, and UH made
- 5:34Speaker 1: a fair amount of money this year, and so he's like,
- 5:36Speaker 1: I am going to take all this money and I
- 5:38Speaker 1: am gonna I'm gonna buy the biggest second place trophy
- 5:43Speaker 1: I can buy, and it is gonna be shame for generations.
- 5:50Speaker 1: And from that moment I went on to annihilate him,
- 5:56Speaker 1: annihilate him, destroy him. I ended winning by twenty one games.
- 6:02Speaker 1: I was up so much in the last week of
- 6:04Speaker 1: the season. He didn't even make any picks. Get out. Yeah,
- 6:08Speaker 1: he's like, it's over. There's nothing I can do. That's
- 6:12Speaker 1: pretty strong. All I have to say. All I have
- 6:17Speaker 1: to say, he's getting trophies. I can promise you that, Chad.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Getting back to basics, Getting back to basics. The last
- 6:28Speaker 1: few weeks of the year, I did really, really well,
- 6:33Speaker 1: really pleasing myself. We had some good weeks in the book.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Week seventeen UH wasn't a good one. We didn't get killed,
- 6:41Speaker 1: but we didn't make any money either. UM Week sevent
- 6:45Speaker 1: team was a little rough New England covering easy. UM
- 6:50Speaker 1: the Rams that was a bad one. A lot of
- 6:52Speaker 1: the lot of the favorites of the Eagles. I think
- 6:55Speaker 1: the Seahawks not covering against the Cardinals was really the
- 6:59Speaker 1: only game that kind of even our day. But you know,
- 7:02Speaker 1: Week seventeen is always a crapshoot with us, and uh,
- 7:06Speaker 1: but there's only a couple of games that kind of
- 7:08Speaker 1: bailed us out. So well, the game the game that
- 7:12Speaker 1: killed me, you know, Unfortunately, I bet the Titans at
- 7:15Speaker 1: plus three and a half before the Mariota news because
- 7:20Speaker 1: I was sticking to my principles. I'm like, that's kind
- 7:22Speaker 1: of a big number for you know, I felt like
- 7:24Speaker 1: the Cults were overvalued in that situation. Um, that one
- 7:28Speaker 1: killed me. That yeah, that took us. That was the
- 7:31Speaker 1: late game, and that pretty much whatever we were up
- 7:34Speaker 1: for the day by that time, which wasn't much. We
- 7:37Speaker 1: lost it all on that game because we needed the
- 7:39Speaker 1: Titans big. Also, the Broncos disappointed me. I was in
- 7:42Speaker 1: the Broncos at plus six. Yeah that yeah, that was
- 7:47Speaker 1: another one that they were never they were never in it.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Um that the Raiders were never in it against the Chiefs,
- 7:52Speaker 1: that was another bad one that just destroyed us. We
- 7:55Speaker 1: needed some of these dogs to to just kind of
- 7:57Speaker 1: stay close. And uh, the Browns was kind of a
- 8:01Speaker 1: bailout game for that against the Ravens. Uh. We had
- 8:04Speaker 1: some great two way action on that UM at minus
- 8:08Speaker 1: six minus six and a half, and the Browns losing
- 8:11Speaker 1: by two helped us out quite a bit in that one.
- 8:14Speaker 1: I had the Browns. Yeah you're a Brownies fan. Yeah,
- 8:18Speaker 1: I bet the Browns and the Bears. Those are my winners,
- 8:20Speaker 1: and the Broncos and the Titans were my losers. Okay, well,
- 8:26Speaker 1: I'm glad that Week seventeens in the books we can
- 8:28Speaker 1: get into the playoffs. It's hard. Week seventeen is hard, right, Like,
- 8:31Speaker 1: if you look back on the year, what was the team?
- 8:34Speaker 1: We did? This great thing, we did this great graphic
- 8:36Speaker 1: and the Action Network app. I work at the Action Network. UM,
- 8:41Speaker 1: we have a three app, the Action Network app. We logged,
- 8:45Speaker 1: meaning like our users can input the bets that they make.
- 8:49Speaker 1: You can't make the bets on our app, but you
- 8:51Speaker 1: can track all the bets you make. So we logged
- 8:53Speaker 1: to nine point five million bets. This year's scooch mine
- 8:58Speaker 1: point five million UM the most bet teams in each
- 9:05Speaker 1: sport Alabama, Vegas Golden Knights, Golden State Warriors, New England Patriots,
- 9:12Speaker 1: Boston Red Sox. No surprises there, right, No, well a
- 9:16Speaker 1: little surprise with Vegas Golden Knights. Are you talking about
- 9:19Speaker 1: starting last year? Yeah? Okay, yeah, alright, I got you.
- 9:23Speaker 1: I thought you meant starting this hockey season. No, scar
- 9:27Speaker 1: the year, the whole year is the end of the years,
- 9:29Speaker 1: the end of the year extras, because you know it
- 9:31Speaker 1: was the end of the year. Okay, Sorry, I don't
- 9:35Speaker 1: mean to be sarcastic. I got it, I got it.
- 9:38Speaker 1: I'm being kind this year. I forgot. I told Stay
- 9:42Speaker 1: this year. I told Stacy this morning. I think I'm
- 9:44Speaker 1: gonna try to be nicer to people this year. We'll
- 9:48Speaker 1: see how that. See how long that last? Um? Yeah? That?
- 9:52Speaker 1: But also the most bet game was the Chiefs Rams
- 9:56Speaker 1: and most bet side was the Chiefs in that game. Okay,
- 10:02Speaker 1: with that coincide with your stats? I didn't. I didn't
- 10:08Speaker 1: look at those stats. But that sounds about right. Um,
- 10:11Speaker 1: But you've done all the research before this podcast, Like
- 10:14Speaker 1: why didn't you didn't give it? Heads up? What I
- 10:18Speaker 1: am sifting through so much analysis right now for our
- 10:21Speaker 1: end of year stuff. It's ridiculous. So yeah, I missed.
- 10:24Speaker 1: I missed that one. For for the action that is
- 10:27Speaker 1: boring stuff. You're talking about like spreadsheets and you know,
- 10:33Speaker 1: win loss profit, you know that kind of stuff. How
- 10:36Speaker 1: we did it each property? Are you gonna have to
- 10:39Speaker 1: have one of those explanations where you're like, listen, getting
- 10:42Speaker 1: worse if I wasn't booking as well as I was. No,
- 10:45Speaker 1: you know it was. It was a funny year because
- 10:48Speaker 1: some of our properties, um didn't have as good of
- 10:51Speaker 1: a year as some of the other properties, probably just
- 10:54Speaker 1: because of some geographic locations, uh that around around Las Vegas.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Of our properties we're under construction or the streets under construction,
- 11:04Speaker 1: that sort of thing. But overall, the profits were up,
- 11:07Speaker 1: which is the main thing, and our whole percentage was
- 11:11Speaker 1: up over last year, which is pretty strong. Excited for you.
- 11:15Speaker 1: It means that you were a good bookmaker. That's what
- 11:18Speaker 1: I like to think. It means, well, you don't get
- 11:22Speaker 1: divided on yachts if you're not a good bookmaker. If
- 11:27Speaker 1: you're a bad bookmaker, they put you underneath the yacht. Yeah,
- 11:33Speaker 1: you're on the dock, you're on the bow. You you
- 11:36Speaker 1: ever see Donnie Brasco, You go to the bow, you
- 11:40Speaker 1: stay in the bow. Yeah, we're you trying to do
- 11:44Speaker 1: like an Italian accent. That was how the how Pacino
- 11:47Speaker 1: said it when he was in the movie The Bow. Yeah,
- 11:52Speaker 1: I can't do an Italian accent. Should we talk about
- 11:55Speaker 1: some games? Eight games this weekend? I'm super excited, so
- 12:02Speaker 1: many interesting games. Houston is a one point favorite. This
- 12:05Speaker 1: lines got some pace behind it. Man. People are piling
- 12:09Speaker 1: on on the colts, and I think that's a bad idea. Yeah,
- 12:14Speaker 1: we opened two and a half. We opened Houston minus
- 12:17Speaker 1: two and a half, and we we realized that the
- 12:19Speaker 1: cults have just been attracting a ton of money lately. Uh,
- 12:23Speaker 1: Houston not so much, even though that just a few
- 12:26Speaker 1: weeks ago everyone was just praising how great they are
- 12:29Speaker 1: after starting slow at oh and three. But uh, the
- 12:32Speaker 1: teams played twice already, they know each other. Both games
- 12:35Speaker 1: were I believe, decided by three points. One of them
- 12:38Speaker 1: went to overtime. So you know what you get with
- 12:41Speaker 1: these Uh, with these two teams, it should be a
- 12:43Speaker 1: real close game. Uh, probably a lot of points being
- 12:46Speaker 1: scored again. Uh and uh, I was a little surprised
- 12:51Speaker 1: that the sharp guys run uh India as well as
- 12:54Speaker 1: the public in this one. So uh we're down to
- 12:57Speaker 1: one and a half. Still getting some money on the
- 13:00Speaker 1: Colts at plus one and a half. So you know,
- 13:03Speaker 1: I could probably see it going down a lot, but
- 13:05Speaker 1: we're not going to see that key number three at
- 13:07Speaker 1: on either team. I am surprised that the show of
- 13:11Speaker 1: guys are on the Colts as well. Why do you
- 13:14Speaker 1: think that is? Oh, they're running hot. I mean lately
- 13:19Speaker 1: it's uh uh, you're you're betting on your betting on
- 13:22Speaker 1: Andrew Luck He's got the experience. H h. You're getting
- 13:27Speaker 1: a couple of points. It's not much. And you know,
- 13:29Speaker 1: I don't really think that the points are really the
- 13:33Speaker 1: determining factor here, but they're probably just a hotter team. Yeah,
- 13:39Speaker 1: but wise guys who aren't betting the hot team? Oh
- 13:42Speaker 1: not the wise guys, no, No, So why are the
- 13:45Speaker 1: wise guys on the Colts? That you got me on
- 13:51Speaker 1: that one? Because I that was that surprised. That surprised
- 13:54Speaker 1: me a little bit. I mean, this is the type
- 13:56Speaker 1: of play that a short home favorite that you would
- 14:00Speaker 1: think that they would be on, that they would be
- 14:01Speaker 1: on Houston and this one and there there's not a
- 14:04Speaker 1: lot of value in the point spread, like I said,
- 14:06Speaker 1: So it does shock me a little bit. I know
- 14:09Speaker 1: the public that being on the Colts doesn't surprise me.
- 14:12Speaker 1: But the sharp guys on the Colts does public or suckers,
- 14:15Speaker 1: They don't know anything. They just know Andrew Luck keeps
- 14:17Speaker 1: winning and he just won on you know, Sunday night
- 14:20Speaker 1: and got into the playoffs, and is you know, throwing
- 14:23Speaker 1: multiple touchdown passes every game. I like the Texans in
- 14:27Speaker 1: this game. Yeah, I kind of. I kind of favor
- 14:31Speaker 1: them in this game as well. I don't mind taking
- 14:33Speaker 1: too much on the Colts. But like I said, it's
- 14:35Speaker 1: it's it's a coin toss. They're very evenly matched up.
- 14:40Speaker 1: Dallas Cowboys similarly one point favorites over the Seattle Seahawks.
- 14:44Speaker 1: Another game, Slions moving, Slions, got some some heat behind it,
- 14:49Speaker 1: a tail kind of rocket. Yeah, no, it really does.
- 14:53Speaker 1: And this again is the sharp money on on Seattle
- 14:57Speaker 1: that's driving this uh number. We've got probably more money
- 15:00Speaker 1: on Seattle than we do on any of the four
- 15:03Speaker 1: teams right now, so uh and it's all it's all
- 15:08Speaker 1: sharp money. The public's divide it pretty much evenly on
- 15:11Speaker 1: this one. We've got a lot of Dallas support the
- 15:14Speaker 1: last few weeks, and going around a lot of our
- 15:16Speaker 1: sports books, there's more crowd noise for Dallas scoring than
- 15:20Speaker 1: any other team. So Dallas always draws a big fan
- 15:25Speaker 1: based contingency, but it seems like it's getting it's getting
- 15:29Speaker 1: more raucous these last few weeks, and a lot of
- 15:33Speaker 1: a lot of support for the Cowboys here in town.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Isn't it interesting though, because maybe there was a point
- 15:36Speaker 1: during the middle of the season where the Cowboys were
- 15:40Speaker 1: one of the least popular teams to bet. Absolutely gone.
- 15:43Speaker 1: It has done a one on going from the America's team,
- 15:47Speaker 1: a purely public team, to nobody wanted to pay attention
- 15:50Speaker 1: to them. Yeah, there's been a few of these teams
- 15:53Speaker 1: that are in the playoffs now that have gone through
- 15:55Speaker 1: a little bit of a peak and valley and a
- 15:57Speaker 1: little bit of a cycle where the fans the betters
- 16:00Speaker 1: just jumped off of them completely. Um, and the Cowboys
- 16:04Speaker 1: are one of them. And these two teams matched up
- 16:07Speaker 1: earlier in the year as well. Um, and it was
- 16:10Speaker 1: in Seattle, So this is a little rematch of a
- 16:13Speaker 1: game from earlier this year and Seattle just dominated that game.
- 16:17Speaker 1: So there may be some things in that game that
- 16:20Speaker 1: some of the betters are looking into. I have been
- 16:24Speaker 1: thinking about Seattle the whole time, even on the money line.
- 16:28Speaker 1: And today I've had a bunch of conversations with people
- 16:32Speaker 1: that have made me rethink that and decide with Dallas,
- 16:39Speaker 1: what made you change? I think that part of my
- 16:43Speaker 1: issue this year has been I've been too my instincts
- 16:47Speaker 1: have been wrong when I've sort of just looked at
- 16:50Speaker 1: it game without any research behind it. And uh, I
- 16:57Speaker 1: feel like I might have a bias first for Seattle
- 16:59Speaker 1: because I love them against Kansas City on the money line,
- 17:04Speaker 1: took them in that spot, and emotionally might be connected
- 17:09Speaker 1: to that team. But it's a different game when Russell
- 17:11Speaker 1: Wilson's not at home. Yeah, yeah, I mean here's here again.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Are two very similar teams, just like in the Colts
- 17:20Speaker 1: Texans game. Both Seattle and Dallas just kind of relying
- 17:24Speaker 1: on that that run game. Uh. Both have very mobile quarterbacks,
- 17:29Speaker 1: very similar styles. If you have to give the nod
- 17:32Speaker 1: a little bit to the experience with Seattle on defense
- 17:36Speaker 1: with their linebacker crew, uh, probably a lot more seasoned
- 17:40Speaker 1: than than the young guys on on Dallas. But uh again,
- 17:45Speaker 1: I think whoever makes the least amount of mistakes in
- 17:47Speaker 1: this one gets to win. Alright, So almost bet Seattle
- 17:55Speaker 1: on the money line today, and I didn't. I'm glad
- 17:59Speaker 1: I didn't. I ever, I favored Seattle in this one
- 18:01Speaker 1: if I had to pick. I mean, it's not a
- 18:04Speaker 1: it's not a strong it's not not a strong opinion.
- 18:06Speaker 1: But I favorite Seattle. I like the defense a lot better.
- 18:10Speaker 1: I think they have just a better shot of of
- 18:14Speaker 1: Slow and Dallas down and I and I and I
- 18:16Speaker 1: give a little bit of a nod to Russell Wilson
- 18:18Speaker 1: on the experience side. I'm gonna have to think about
- 18:23Speaker 1: that one. Uh. The Los Angeles Chargers are one and
- 18:26Speaker 1: a half point underdogs at Baltimore. Fascinating game. Fascinating game.
- 18:32Speaker 1: These two teams played a couple of weeks ago. I
- 18:34Speaker 1: don't know what to make Lamar Jackson yet. Obviously an
- 18:37Speaker 1: amazing defense in Baltimore, but a much more well rounded
- 18:41Speaker 1: team in Los Angeles. Who's bet and what here? Scooch
- 18:48Speaker 1: a lot more money on Baltimore than than the Charges.
- 18:51Speaker 1: As good as the Chargers have been all year, there
- 18:55Speaker 1: is they haven't drawn a lot of public money. Um,
- 19:00Speaker 1: you know, take this the sharp professional handicappers out of
- 19:02Speaker 1: the mix for a minute. I'm just talking about the
- 19:04Speaker 1: recreational betters. They really haven't supported the Chargers for a
- 19:08Speaker 1: team that's won as many games as they have, So
- 19:12Speaker 1: in this one, they're they're on Baltimore, and I see
- 19:15Speaker 1: I could see the number going up to three by
- 19:17Speaker 1: game time. So if you're are interested in betting the Charges,
- 19:20Speaker 1: I'd probably wait till later in the week and you
- 19:22Speaker 1: can get the plus three. But who's the hotter team lately?
- 19:27Speaker 1: I think it seems like it's Baltimore. Uh, they probably
- 19:30Speaker 1: haven't played as good of a competition, but they did
- 19:33Speaker 1: play the Chargers a couple of weeks ago and pretty
- 19:36Speaker 1: much dominated that game. So um, I think there's just
- 19:39Speaker 1: gonna be a lot more support for Baltimore and this one,
- 19:42Speaker 1: and I understand it, and I'd probably favor Baltimore myself. God,
- 19:47Speaker 1: that number, guess the three. I mean, have a hard
- 19:48Speaker 1: time not betting the Chargers. Yeah, I mean it's hard,
- 19:53Speaker 1: too hard to beat the same team twice in such
- 19:56Speaker 1: a short amount of time. You know, you have you
- 19:58Speaker 1: have different game plans. Uh, you see completely different Uh,
- 20:03Speaker 1: you know a game plan the second time around in
- 20:06Speaker 1: a short amount of time. So uh that that works
- 20:09Speaker 1: in the Chargers favor in this one, How have you
- 20:11Speaker 1: changed your rating on the Ravens with Lamar Jackson versus
- 20:15Speaker 1: Joe Flacco. Um, the first couple of games, it wasn't
- 20:20Speaker 1: wasn't that much, but after probably the third. By the
- 20:24Speaker 1: third game, uh, they're actually a couple of points better
- 20:29Speaker 1: with him in the lineup than Flacco. Wow. Yeah, Joe
- 20:33Speaker 1: Flacco self proclaimed one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL,
- 20:37Speaker 1: a winner of a Super Bowl, a better pastor than
- 20:40Speaker 1: Lamar Jackson. But because teams have not been able to
- 20:43Speaker 1: figure out how to start Lamar Jackson on the ground,
- 20:46Speaker 1: you have made the Ravens a much better team with
- 20:48Speaker 1: Lamar Jackson than Joe Flacco. Not a much better, but yeah,
- 20:52Speaker 1: two points better a lot. Yeah. So what's Lamar Jackson like?
- 20:57Speaker 1: Five points right now? Yeah? Yeah? I mean, if you
- 21:01Speaker 1: think about it, if if something happened to Lamar Jackson
- 21:04Speaker 1: where he wasn't gonna be playing, and you and you
- 21:06Speaker 1: did say that Flacco was going to be coming in
- 21:08Speaker 1: the line would not go to three, If anything, it
- 21:10Speaker 1: would go down. M hm. Lamar Jackson five points? Five
- 21:19Speaker 1: points is an quarterback? How much is Baker Mayfield worth? Oh,
- 21:24Speaker 1: that's pretty strong. He's he's right up there with with
- 21:29Speaker 1: probably the top five quarterbacks, probably six and a half. Wow.
- 21:35Speaker 1: I mean you have to look at the drop off too.
- 21:37Speaker 1: You know, how much is Josh Allen worth two? How
- 21:45Speaker 1: much is Mitch Trobinsky worth? He's up there about six
- 21:50Speaker 1: and a half seven. How much is Nick folesworth? That's
- 21:55Speaker 1: an interesting one because right now we have him rated high,
- 22:00Speaker 1: higher than Wentz and I think we even talked about
- 22:02Speaker 1: it a couple of weeks ago, where the Eagles team
- 22:06Speaker 1: is a better team with Falls in there. I mean,
- 22:08Speaker 1: there's just no question and we've actually, uh, well, the
- 22:12Speaker 1: Eagles are also another team that have the biggest drop
- 22:16Speaker 1: from the preseason ratings to to mid season and then
- 22:19Speaker 1: have climbed back up again, so that there's been a
- 22:22Speaker 1: lot of changes with with the Eagles in general, but
- 22:25Speaker 1: a lot of it has to do with Falls and Wentz.
- 22:28Speaker 1: How much is Fran Tarkington worth? I love Fran. It's
- 22:35Speaker 1: hard to go back that many years, so it's a
- 22:37Speaker 1: completely different game. If he stepped on the field right now.
- 22:41Speaker 1: How many points is he worth? Who's worth? Fran Tarkington's
- 22:47Speaker 1: worth three points? But you gotta understand he's seventy five
- 22:50Speaker 1: years old. So Fran Tarkinson is worth more points than
- 22:53Speaker 1: John Downy. Yeah, I give the experience three points. You
- 23:00Speaker 1: can run. Yeah, remember show, Remember the show That's incredible. Yes,
- 23:06Speaker 1: Fran Tarkington hosted that show. He was a host. Yeah,
- 23:09Speaker 1: a lot of people didn't know he played football. Whatever
- 23:11Speaker 1: happened to France Tarkington after that? Do you think he
- 23:12Speaker 1: wanted a career in TV and like flamed out? He's
- 23:16Speaker 1: he got into uh promotional speaking like a Tony A
- 23:20Speaker 1: matter of fact, I think he even did some work
- 23:22Speaker 1: with Tony Robbins and uh started doing kind of that
- 23:25Speaker 1: same positive thinking stuff. Well, you gotta be positive when
- 23:30Speaker 1: you lose four Super Bowls, That's is true. Last game
- 23:37Speaker 1: is the Bears and the Eagles. Speaking of Nick Foles,
- 23:39Speaker 1: the Bears are now five and a half point favorites.
- 23:43Speaker 1: Tricky game, Tricky, tricky game. It's tricky because of what
- 23:48Speaker 1: I said. How the ratings on the Eagles have have
- 23:53Speaker 1: continued to slide down throughout most of the year until
- 23:56Speaker 1: recent weeks, and with Foals in there, they're starting to
- 24:00Speaker 1: climb back up. But I think you're gonna get quite
- 24:03Speaker 1: a bit of value with the Eagles in this one.
- 24:06Speaker 1: We did go down to five and a half, but
- 24:07Speaker 1: there are quite a few sixes around in other places still.
- 24:11Speaker 1: And um, it surprises me a little bit that the
- 24:14Speaker 1: public is on Chicago in this one at the rate
- 24:18Speaker 1: that they're they're on. I thought for sure that the
- 24:21Speaker 1: public would be on uh Philly a little bit more
- 24:24Speaker 1: in this one because they've been on the Eagles, you know,
- 24:27Speaker 1: five of the last six weeks. Um, they've seen a
- 24:30Speaker 1: little bit of the resurgence. And you figure with them
- 24:33Speaker 1: getting six points, the sharp guys I know saw the
- 24:36Speaker 1: value with the six points and they jumped on it
- 24:38Speaker 1: right away, drove the line down to five and a half.
- 24:41Speaker 1: But the public is still at about almost on the
- 24:44Speaker 1: Bears in this one. And that seems like a lot
- 24:47Speaker 1: of points for the Bears to be laying against against
- 24:50Speaker 1: this Eagles team. It does feel like a lot, a
- 24:53Speaker 1: real lot. Why do you think the Bears wouldn't cover? Well?
- 24:58Speaker 1: I think the Eagles defense is uh has really been
- 25:01Speaker 1: stepping up, So I think it's gonna be a lower
- 25:04Speaker 1: scoring game. So and and the total reflects that. I mean,
- 25:07Speaker 1: we have the total at forty one, so we were
- 25:09Speaker 1: not expecting a lot of points. We're expecting some good defense.
- 25:12Speaker 1: So you're saying they're gonna win by a touchdown, It
- 25:15Speaker 1: just seems like it's a lot of points against the
- 25:18Speaker 1: defending Super Bowl champs. Five and a half feels like
- 25:23Speaker 1: a dead number. Yeah, I mean it's a touchdown. I'd
- 25:31Speaker 1: probably lean towards the Bears. Wow. Wow. I'm I've tried
- 25:39Speaker 1: to be on the low side on this one. Like
- 25:40Speaker 1: I said, there's some sixes out there, but we're gonna
- 25:43Speaker 1: try and stay low, try to try to attract some
- 25:46Speaker 1: Bears money. Well, you'll get mine. Go a little bit
- 25:49Speaker 1: lower and you'll get mine. Scooch, I'm favoring the Eagles
- 25:53Speaker 1: in this one. I you know, I I'm a false fan. Now.
- 25:57Speaker 1: Oh gods, I don't think it's gonna end well for him, Okay, Scooch, Yeah,
- 26:07Speaker 1: I guess what. It's time to play little roulette. Let's
- 26:11Speaker 1: do it, all right? Who do you got, buddy? I
- 26:23Speaker 1: like Seattle. Seattle is my team? Wow? Wow, Seattle is
- 26:27Speaker 1: gonna be your team? Yeah? All right, then I'm gonna
- 26:31Speaker 1: go with the Houston Texans. Wow. Yeah, Well we need them. Well,
- 26:40Speaker 1: I'll be rooting for you. We need them. I'm I'm
- 26:43Speaker 1: gonna I'm gonna root for you too. You know why
- 26:49Speaker 1: little root for each other because you're gonna be it's
- 26:51Speaker 1: a nicer you. You're gonna be nicer this year. That's
- 26:53Speaker 1: why I want to be nice to people. Okay, Uh, listen, folks,
