A massive house fire erupted in Belmont after a powerful explosion rocked a home on Sunset Drive near Lake Winnisquam, sending flames and thick smoke skyward—prompting a multi-town firefighting response that included crews from Laconia, Tilton-Northfield, Sanbornton, Franklin, Gilford, and Loudon. Witnesses reported seeing flames shoot from the back of the single-story home as emergency crews battled the blaze, even calling for an ambulance.
